We dealt with Bryan and Seth ** at Gateway Mortgage and to be honest, I had already had a lender at the time when I met Bryan. I was blown away by his “easy” voice and ability roll with my schedule, and his techie abilities in that I was able to do 80% of the app through texts & email. I dropped our other lender obviously for this wiz at Gateway and was happy all the way through it!

Julia ** was great and very helpful. She kept us always informed on every step of the process. Our transaction was smooth, quick and seamless. Highly recommend Julia and Gateway Mortgage. Very prompt and courteous staff, Erin was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to our needs.

My original mortgage company sold our note to a 2nd mortgage company, which was ok, but not great but then the 2nd mortgage company filed for bankruptcy and our mortgage was sold as debt to a debt collection agency acting as a mortgage company. I decided immediately to refinance and was extremely happy with our decision to go with Chad and Gateway. They were very thorough and communicated effectively throughout the process - even when we had some unexpected challenges with health issues, they stood by our side and came up with out of the box solutions!

From the moment we had our first meeting with Jeannette and her team we felt like part of a family. They had our best interest in mind and made it a point to make sure we did what was best for our family. From talking over finance options, assisting with questions during the build process, and all the way to closing there wasn't a call or email that wasn't addressed ASAP. My experience with Todd was great! He was always available even on weekends when I would reach out for preapprovals while house hunting. He got me a fantastic rate by waiting until the best time to lock me in. All around great guy! Being a mortgage loan processor myself I know what it's like to have a full pipeline and lots of people calling every day but he still made me feel like a priority by doing periodic check ins to see how the house hunting was going and placing me in the right loan program to suit my financial needs. Loan originator Jason **, failed to order appraisal in a timely manner. Causing my closing date to be rescheduled. To make the matter worse, Jason’s boss (Chad **) was less than professional when speaking to him on this matter. Would definitely not recommend Gateway to anyone.

Jeff, Alice, their crew at Gateway made what should have been a stressful process so pain-free. Was able to close and fund in less than a few weeks. The turnaround time was incredible. They were straightforward, really communicated, and boom! We were complete and ready to go in record time. We would have been done even sooner but rates for refi were low and they got additional volume of apps. Exceptional people, courteous, straightforward really. This is the kind of business I like...honest, trustworthy, easy to deal with, proactive and/or progressive; really how all businesses should run but instead are nowadays not so forthright. They keep their loans in-house and don’t sell supposedly and they are local, so they know the rules and regs, unlike online and other commercial lenders.

If I had to choose 1 word to describe my experience with Gateway it would be SUPERB. Sue ** was my financial advisor and she made everything as smooth and simple as possible. She kept me updated of any changes and was timely with requesting needed information. I couldnt have chosen anyone else better and consider it to be a blessing and privilege!

The only good thing that came out of this experience was that it got done. The processor was not experienced and the file got shipped to 3 different people. It was a refinance on a Gateway loan. I have almost perfect credit. Should have been a slam dunk! They lost emailed forms and documents. Had to send things 2-3 times. The only thing that saved you from me taking my file and going to my credit union was Georgia **. She was always pleasant and went the extra mile to get things worked out when they went south. That girl needs a raise! Tom is great at his job - he needs to recognize when someone is struggling to do their job and step in sooner.

I have been hearing about Gateway Mortgage for years and liked how they do business. I got a refi that was done on a vacation home last fall and the process was smooth. The rep sent us stuff back and forth to sign, and she watched the new things where there were gonna be money to be saved and when the timing was right that we could do that again. She brought that to our attention and we took care of that. So, it was personal customer service. There was nothing that kept popping up that you gotta deal with.

Everything went fine with Gateway. We worked with Keelan. Majority of the process was pretty simple. We had an issue with our taxes that had gotten skimmed over, so underwriters caught an issue, and there was some communication between my husband and I, but all in all, it ended up being resolved. Keelan does a really good job and he works really hard for his clients.

Last year we had a horrific experience with another lender in trying to get approved for a home. It wasn't that we were not qualified, it's that the lender was chaotic and disorganized. It was so bad, I really didn't want to try again to purchase a home. Then we heard about Gateway Mortgage. I was skeptical, but we still did want to set up permanent roots in our new city, so we decided it couldn't hurt to try them. What a difference. All I can say is wow. We worked with Bory ** and Chris **. The process was so simple and smooth. They obviously know what they are doing, and the it showed throughout the loan process. They were very involved in effectively communicating what they needed from us, and they kept us informed of our progress throughout the loan process. We never wondered what was going on, and if we had any questions, I could depend on a response from Bory within 15 minutes! Wow again!

I have open 6 mortgage with Gateway and the last two was re–financials, they told me that because they are giving me money back they cannot offer a better rate, that I will understand. However, on the way that I was getting the 6th mortgage they offer me the same rate. I keep asking why, their response was the loans rate are getting higher, that was not true at all, they told me that they will give me a discount, I start to look other places and find out this discount only match the rate that other 3 people offer me. They are just another company and really do not care too much or offer you something better that anyone else, but lie to you as they are making you favors.

From day one, Gateway Mortgage was wonderful! Kris was so accessible by email or phone, answering questions, giving suggestions and helping us to move forward to get a very professional and efficient home loan! I could not have asked for anything better! Thank you!

We have recommended Gateway and will continue to in the future. Even after the closing, moving into paying my mortgage was a breeze. Set up for online payments was a piece of cake to get through. Very easy from start to finish.

I wanted to buy a new house, and my realtor introduced me to Gateway. The process of getting the mortgage was okay. It was not great but it was not that bad. The whole process from application to closing didn’t take longer than we expected. It’s just that the communication part was terrible. Some misleading information and some of the information were not available to me. I was kinda lost during the whole process. Gateway has three guys that I was dealing with. It was very hard to get a hold of them. So, the communication part of it was the problem. Also, I was supposed to put a bigger downpayment down. And during the closing cost, I realized that my downpayment was off by 30,000. I asked why they did that. The guy told me, “That was the number that we felt like it was ideal for your interest rate and monthly payment.” Nobody ever told me that. I was ready to put more money. And all of a sudden, I realized that they shorten me by $30,000.

I met a realtor who is a good friend of mine. I let her know I was ready to start the home financing process and I wanted to know with her years of experience, if she could recommend me someone to go through. She asked me a couple of questions, and then she said that Gateway would be a good company to work with. The online application process was very convenient. We had a lot going in our lives. My wife was starting a new career so she had limited availability. I barely spoke to her during the entire time. We both had access to the application. I was able to handle a lot of things, and she was kept in the loop of it.

I checked with New American Funding and Gateway and I felt more confident with Gateway because it’s local. Online application was really easy. And then we did most of it over the phone and Gateway requested whatever documents that were required, most of which was done was online. I communicated with David and every time I had a question during the process, he was always there to answer it. The entire process took two to three weeks and everything went smooth and in a timely manner.

Tami ** and her staff were wonderful to work with. She made the process less stressful. My husband and I always knew we could count on her for any questions we had during the whole process. We needed to close in four weeks and she made that happen! The staff was very efficient. We will return to Gateway again for future cabin purchase(s). Very happy customers!

I was buying a house and Gateway Mortgage was recommended to me by my broker. The process of getting the mortgage with Gateway was really easy. They requested all the documents as soon as the process started. So, we closed within like 30 days of me starting the process. It was really easy. And they explained everything to me because it was my first time and I’m rather young, so they explained everything to me on a level that I could understand what they were requesting and why they were requesting it.

I worked with Cindy ** on my mortgage, I cannot say enough good things about Cindy! She was extremely accurate, straightforward, and prompt throughout the entire process. This is the third mortgage that my wife and I have closed with Cindy and we will continue to work with her in the future. She has vast experience and understands every aspect of the process. I do not think there is a better compliment in the world than repeat business especially in a world where most people are looking to save a couple of dollars. My only criticism is that I found Chris through Lending Tree - Gateway was great but Lending Tree was very annoying. I had to start blocking calls because people wouldn't stop calling me. Despite this, Chris was one of the first ones to call and left a more personal message than all the other automated ones, which was a nice touch and why I called him back in the first place. Thanks!

Part of the process was educational. It’s not something I do everyday so I learned at every step. And I was helped in that process. It was also a good thing to be responsible for getting information. I’m not confident doing things online. My agent helped me with that.

It went really smoothly as I gathered up my information and they helped me along the way no with hangups! We got an inspection of our condo and was sent in and was fine then I had a couple of loans I wanted to pay off too so they set that up as well and I got a great interest rate!

If I had an the option, I would not give Gateway Mortgage any stars. There was a serious lack of communication with me, my realtor and the sellers realtor such that I would have to go to the office to get an answers in regards to my closing. Highly disappointed to say the least.

The Loan process was easy and quick. Payments are not, several times you are redirected. It would be much easier with an app or at least some way to have a direct line to the payment process. The website is not user-friendly at all.

This was our second time working with Lauren ** in financing our home. She made the process so easy and hassle-free. From the weekly calls updating us to the emails explaining the process is was seamless. Lauren was very upfront and super helpful when we have to get everything together. We will be using her and the Gateway time again.

Despite the astonishing number of mortgage documents and checks/protocols required, the workflow system used by Gateway makes relatively light weight of the entire process. This is further enhanced by the nice folks who are the staff and management, who are able to deal with their clients in however much of a “hands on” manner the customer feels they need. And, importantly, the rates and fees charged were competitive.

Steve, Melodie and the team at Gateway made the process super easier. They worked on two mortgages for me concurrently and were able to get both complete within the time frames discussed. I would highly recommend Gateway to any investor needing a mortgage.

Gateway was really good. The application and underwriting process was pretty painless. But I had to go do some digging for info. Gateway could make the process in a way that I don't have to go find old documents. I worked with Steve and Deborah, and they were good to go. They were communicating very well. I was getting a new home and Gateway was referred to me by my friends. I went with them and I worked with Emily and Reagan. They were awesome to work with. Everything was great.

My builder recommended Gateway Mortgage to me. Their application process took a total of eight months until closing but then that was because we built. With their process, I find that some things can be done online. It was difficult getting physical signatures. Despite that, Gateway allowed us to make a smooth transition to our new home.

We were first-time home buyers and our realtor recommended Gateway Mortgage. We called her and told her the price of the house we were looking at and she went ahead and did all the figures. We were pre-approved and we gave her everything she needed. Then they told us that the offer on the house was accepted and we went from there. We filled out all the paperwork, and now, we're homeowners.

Applying with Gateway Mortgage was very easy and their loan process took a month and a half from application to closing. Their loan officer was very helpful and always answered the first time I called. If he didn't answer, he'd call me right back. All in all, Gateway made me able to be a first-time homeowner right out of college, so working with them made my life exponentially better.

I went through Gateway for my mortgage on my old house and everything went smooth. When I bought a new house, I refinanced with them again. Everything was great except the payment went up but I expected that. I wanted to shorten the term up to 15 and I was able to do that and saved quite a bit on the rate. The application process didn't take very long too. The longest thing was waiting for the appraisal. The guy who normally does the appraisal got sick so that held us up a little bit but everything went down pretty well the way I thought it would. Also, I've got representative Paul on my cellphone and if I have a question, he'll get it figured out for me. Gateway is a good company and Paul is a great guy to work with. They served their purpose and I would recommend them.

When we were buying a new home, we wanted to go with a local company and Gateway Mortgage was recommended to us by the realtor. The process was absolutely easy and fast. Gateway Mortgage made everything very simple. We did a lot of talking over the phone but every time we needed something signed, we just did like Verisign or Accusign through email because of my husband’s work schedule. He works between shifts so it’s hard to get him.

We bought a home and went with a 30-year FHA loan with Gateway Mortgage. My lender was really helpful with everything. He was very experienced. Everything went well.

I've been a renter and a friend of mine ended up applying for a house through Advantage and went through this low-income program. I then thought of putting my money towards something that is mine versus just renting. I worked on my credit for about two years trying to get it situated and get all my debt and stuff figured out. I decided to try to get my own place and signed up for a low-income program with Gateway Mortgage.

When I was buying a house in Alamogordo, New Mexico, I asked people where I would go to start the whole loan process. My realtor referred me to a rep from Gateway Mortgage and so I went there and we just hit it off. Then, I found out that the rep was also a friend of one of the people I was working with. I was able to build a good friendship with that particular office so we still keep in touch regularly. Overall, the company was very helpful. Whenever something came up like a price or a flag, they help me in trying to figure it out, getting to the bottom of it, getting in touch with the Realtor and situating it for me.

My mortgage got sold to Gateway loan by the original servicer. I got a welcome call and letter where they said that they never sell loans. I set up auto pay like I do all of my bills and forgot about it. I made every payment on time. About a year later, my mortgage was sold to a horrible debt collection company, even though they said that they don’t sell loans. I called to ask what happened and they said that my loan was high risk so they sold it. The loan amount was $160ish and I have a household income north of 200k with no other debt.

Our real estate agent recommended Gateway Mortgage because he worked with them, and they turned out to be a good match. The application was online and it was pretty quick. I thought it was gonna be a headache, but it went pretty well. I met up with the rep, and he gave me a breakdown of what he can do for me. At the end, he ended up giving me better interest rates than initially. We had limited time, and he was able to close the house in 20 days. He said it was rare that it happens, but everything went smoothly and worked out well. And he got it done. I’m happy I went with Gateway.

Gateway Mortgage is a ridiculous company, very unprofessional and incompetent. I feel that each time when speaking to the customer service department I have to get out a Big Chief tablet and draw a picture for them. Very incompetent in handling issues. I was charged double for my monthly mortgage and asked to have it corrected, the guy on the phone was very ignorant in resolving it. When asked to speak to manager you get nowhere as if none work there. Then he continually tells me that it was an auto payment, which is funny because the payment withdrawn does not match anything. Ultimately if I had a chance to use another company I WOULD. All in all this company is a JOKE!!!!

Gateway was amazing. They closed my VA Loan in less than 30 days. Chris ** team walked me through the entire loan process enforcing me of everything. We were renting a house then our landlord pretty much said he had to move in within a month or 2. We had to be out of there so we decided we were just gonna buy a house instead. We did a first-time homebuyers program with Gateway. We talked to a couple of people, originally. A friend of mine who's getting into the retailer side of things kinda suggested we should talk to a guy, Monty, that he knows and works in Gateway. So, we went down and talked to him. He seemed better than the ones that we originally talked to. He was more willing to help and worked with our timeframe ‘cause we kinda had to have something pretty quickly.

We're very happy with Gateway. We purchased a new home and getting a mortgage went really well. It was quite straightforward. From the day we sat down to the day we closed was a month and a half, but that was mostly on the sellers. We could've closed sooner so it was really smooth. We've already recommended Gateway.

We were having issues and I heard that the agent that I worked with at Gateway could get us to close faster. The interest rate of Gateway was also better than the other ones I found. And the process was pretty easy and simple. With everything, the process took about 12 days. They were communicative, easy to talk to and very helpful. I was impressed by their loan officer, Carl's professionalism and how fast he was able to get everything done.

Elizabeth ** was our contact person with Gateway Mortgage (for the second time now), and once again she went above and beyond what most lenders would to ensure we understood each step and there were no preventable delays. Our closing was delayed from March until June (due to seller issues), but Elizabeth stayed on the ball and kept us updated the entire time. On more than one occasion I know she worked a late night to help service our loan to ensure it went through (due to underwriting needing multiple confirmations of income). I would (and have) definitely recommend Gateway (especially Elizabeth) to a friend!

I bought a new home and my real estate agent told me about Gateway. They’d had to do a bunch of research on my employers just to get the dates that I worked with them. Also, I really like the online signing that I didn’t have to show up in person. That was really handy. Rose, the lady that was helping me, really did a good job and she explained everything to me. I had one negative thing in my score report. Rose told me to get rid of it and I would get approved for a different program. S,o that’s the first thing I did when I first talked to her. I talked to my bank, I got rid of that one late payment, and that it was wrong. It brought my credit score up and I got approved for a better option. The application and underwriting process took over a month. We did everything as quickly as we could without missing anything. Overall, I’d definitely recommend them to a friend.

I took a loan from Gateway Mortgage for a new home and they were fine, but the application process was a little cumbersome. There was a good bit of miscommunication. The double paperwork, having to resubmit paperwork and submitting paperwork that was forgotten to be sent to me to sign seemed like a lot of back and forth. Everything was done by computer and portal, which was fine, but they should make sure all the bases are covered. They should also get the paperwork done so that it could move along a little quicker so that the interest rate doesn't increase in the time it takes from the first contact to getting the loan approved.

Our Realtor gave us a few different options, and Deborah, the rep from Gateway, seemed comfortable to me. The whole process was just seamless and perfect. We were in South Carolina and we bought in Texas. I was kept up to date on everything. There were no hidden surprises and it was a really good transaction. I'd email her and within an hour, I'd have a response. From start to finish, the whole shebang, it was right about 45 days then we closed. We were using a VA loan as well so that added some time. But they pretty much got it figured out. Being a first-time home buyer, it wasn't stressful at all. All those fears of first-time home ownership, I don't really have those with Gateway. I'm a financial counselor myself so definitely I will recommend them in the future. I actually just recommended them to my mother.

We were buying a house in Springtown, Texas and we needed a mortgage. We were looking for a VA mortgage, and the mortgage broker we were working with had not accommodated the VA mortgage. So, he recommended and passed us over to Gateway, and he picked a cap for us. The process of getting the mortgage through Gateway was easy. I'm a disabled veteran and that I was tax-exempt, but they were trying to get that worked out. But they did, so it was very nice. We had done some of the paperwork with the original broker, but we had to redo several pieces because of the Gateway form, but it was very easy to work with the automated system online. The application process with all of the different forms that we had to do took approximately a week.

Overall, my experience with Gateway was good. That happened a lot quicker than what I thought it was possible and it was a lot smoother, too. And from what I’ve heard from other people that bought homes, it was kind of a hectic, frustrating process, but it wasn’t. I didn't feel that way. Their process was good. It was just up to me to get the documents as fast as I could. The documents were sent to underwriting a week and a half before my closing date. I was late on getting some documents they were needing. The rep I dealt with kept me posted throughout the process. She answered all the questions I had. I’ve got my house now. I would definitely recommend Gateway to family or friends.
