This was my second transaction with Gateway, both with Leisa **. She did a fantastic job both times. Application process was easy, transactions were smooth, timely and accomplished what I needed to financially. Very happy and would definitely recommend Gateway.

Mrs. Faye ** was the best. Mrs. Faye explained every part of the process right up to the day of closing she would answer any question you needed her to answer. I would refer her to ANY 1. All I can say is Mrs. Faye being our lender was a blessing.

Made refinancing so easy & didn’t have to worry about anything! They took care of everything for me and needed a few documents here & there. Always communicated with me the whole way with updates and when needing to contact someone on my behalf they were willing to do so.

Multiple questions not answered or dodged. (Still waiting on written appraisal report. We quit asking after 7 times.) We felt like we were less than important and mostly a bother. We'd definitely use someone next time who actually treats us like we matter.

My loan officer Kile ** very unprofessional, have no patience whatsoever. Did not answer the questions I was asking. It's was our first time Refinancing our home and we had a lot of questions and she expect for us to know everything. She would answer the question in a very rude way. From not being advised of certain fees to several trips to the closing due to errors, this has been a terrible experience. Several calls to Teresa at your office, were not returned or given “the runaround.” It seems no one really wants to take responsibility for the problems involved with this closing.

From start to finish, this was one of the easiest processes I've ever been through. Communication was great: if we called we usually got an answer. If we sent an email, we usually got a response within the hour. They walked us through the whole process, step-by-step. Awesome!

Our refinance to a lower rate was quick and easy. Our loan officer, Todd **, kept us informed of all phases, and we were very pleased. We refinanced from a Gateway first to a new 15-year fixed because we wanted the lower interest rate. We were especially pleased, because shortly after we locked the rate, interest rates rose a bit. And Gateway's website on which we could make auto payments and get statements is very user-friendly.

Financing for a duplex. This is my 4th loan with Gateway, Brent ** was outstanding as always. Gateway always makes it easy and always delivers ahead of schedule. I will use Gateway on all future transactions & recommend all my friends to do so as well.

I have bought quite a few homes and by far Lou ** was the best lender to work with. He made the process so seamless that it was the least of my worries while selling and buying homes. I am not the easiest client to work with, I have an extremely busy work schedule and travel a lot. That didn't impair Lou's ability whatsoever to make it all happen. Michelle was very rude and would never answer the phone or wouldn't call back. I would use Gateway again but only if I could specifically deal with Pam. She was very positive and professional unlike Michelle. Other than dealing with Michelle, the remainder of the process went smooth.

Everything about the process went very smooth. Everyone we dealt with helped in any way possible from the start to the finish. Even after everything was done Chris made sure we were satisfied and ask if there was anything else he could do.

While the app and closing process was ok, dealing with this bank after the fact is terrible... I make my payments on-line and for the last 3 months I have been unable to sign to make said payment. The customer service people will take my payment and charge me $10 even though they acknowledge that their system is all messed up. My password is never any good even after I've changed it. I will be refinancing my mortgage as soon as I can...

I was looking to purchase a home and so I got a FHA loan. Gateway was preferred by the real estate agent I was working with and when I went through the mortgage process, it was very smooth. The loan staff were great too. They were very helpful with getting documents ready for the process and giving me all the information. They made everything very easy. My loan lady officer was very available and always there to respond. Application to closing took about 30 days and all was within the timeframe. It was perfect and I was very pleased in working with Gateway. This is my new first home and it's great.

I was buying a home and the real estate lady who was a friend was helping me look for houses. Her daughter works for Gateway, and their rep was really prompt with answering the phone and calling me back. I had no idea what I was doing with anything and she went above and beyond doing extra things to help me out. Any time I had a question about anything, there were other people that I should’ve called and asked, but she went ahead, didn't hesitate and took care of it for me. The process would've been sooner, but I had to stretch it out a little bit. They wanted to close before I was ready, so we had to extend it out a couple extra weeks ‘cause I was living somewhere and I had to give a notice.

I bought a new house and applied for an FHA loan from Gateway. It was a painless process and I was very pleased with the service from start to finish. The online application process was a little lengthy but it was sufficient. But they got a lot of preliminary information that wasn't necessary for the pre-approval part. For me, it wasn't an issue. But if somebody is time-crunched, they may stop halfway through it. Other than that, they did great and they got the work done. They were adequate with what was asked of them and I didn't have to do anything extra to pull them along. Also, they were very adept and knowledgeable of the market. They have made it a pleasurable experience and I'm satisfied with that.

I was looking for a new home and what I found was an unfinished one. Gateway Mortgage was one of the very few lenders that would loan on something like that, so I went with them. I worked with their rep named Shana and she was very awesome. It was the second mortgage like this in the area at that point, so we had some difficulties through the way. But it was never with the mortgage company. It was because my house was almost classified as duplex instead of a full family home. It has two stories and the staircase was on the outside. But we talked with the assessor and the group, and we found a solution for that. We had to have it re-assessed after that point, so the process took a little longer than it should have, mainly because I had to have the assessor go out there twice.

Met Tory ** in May 2019. He took our information and started to work on our loan for our house in Idaho Falls. There was so many up and downs because our house in Anaheim fell out of escrow 2 times. He had to rewrite the loans 3 times and never gave up that we would make it to Idaho Falls. We thank Tory very much for the great loan he got us. Thank Helen ** for introducing us to Tory. A great team.

Gateway Mortgage was recommended by my realtor. So, I applied with them and everything was pretty much online. Their website was user-friendly, really easy to use, and very clear. And they showed documents back to us for signing. Also, the rep I worked with was good. She responded quickly and accurately to most things. But there was one instance where we had some confusion on an issue. When we were trying to get closed on a certain timeframe, there was some information that wasn't conveyed to us that delayed the closing. Some things are inevitable, but not having that communicated to us was a little disappointing. Still, my overall experience was really positive with her. This loan was for a new home and from what we can see, the terms and rates that we got were all very competitive as well. We're satisfied with them.

I was looking for a house and due to a referral, I signed up with Gateway Mortgage. The officer who assisted me was fine but the process was difficult. There were a lot of mistakes and delays along the way due to the lending side. But the whole application and underwriting process didn't take longer than any other house I bought. Still, it was not a wonderful experience and there are quite a lot of things that they need to improve on.

Amul was exceptional on his service and so was his team. Everyone was very polite and professional. They guided me through every step of the way and made sure I was comfortable with every decision I made. I am a first time home buyer and they couldn’t have made it easier for me. Gateway Mortgage's online application process was fairly straightforward and simple. There were online signatures, then we printed it off for the secondary signatures and we were able to do it through email. We started in March because we were building a house and wanted to get pre-approved, then we closed in September. Working with Gateway Mortgage took a lot of the stress and the questions out of obtaining a mortgage because Lauren, our loan officer, was very thorough in the way she brought the information. She was always available to us and locked in our interest rate on a Friday at 6:30pm. She went above and beyond for us. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a mortgage.

We dealt with Tina **. She was the most thorough and patient broker that my husband and I have ever worked with. She took time to explain the process and detailed every option for us. Truly, a wonderful person and would highly recommend her to all of our friends and family should the opportunity arise.

He went above and beyond to help us meet Freddie and Fannie Mae's criteria even though we couldn't provide the usual documentation due to the terms of our retirement. I was very satisfied with everything Kandi did for us on getting this home loan. I'm a first time buyer and she made our experience understandable and with very little stress. Gateway came as a referral from a real estate agent and then I applied for mortgage with them. The process took about three weeks and the officer that I worked with was very good.

Very satisfied. They were very prompt with all the processing from the time that I contacted them to the completed process. All of the transactions were done by email and over the phone. At time of closing, all the paperwork was complete and up to date.

I got tired of paying rent, ultimately, and so I got a USDA Rural Development loan program. The realtors that I got involved with were in the same building as Gateway, so they're who I went with. Gateway did their job very well, however, I had some issues with the process because I underestimated the entire home buying process. There were things that I didn’t take into consideration, including how extensive it was dealing with an unethical seller. So, I had a hard time with the process a couple of times and there were some times where I just wanna pull my hair out, but it had nothing to do with Gateway as they did everything that they were required and asked to do. They went through all the procedures and processes.

Gateway pre-approved my wife and I for $310k. We then put in an offer for $305k. Our loan officer had the worst possible communication ever. Only replied to emails periodically and kept losing documents we’d send him causing our close date to be pushed back further. They then told us 1 day before close that they couldn’t do the loan costing us $350 for an inspection. $550 for an appraisal. And to finish it all off they refused to provide a clear denial letter for us to get our $2500 of earnest money back. Do not USE.

Purchasing a new home while you live in a different state can be difficult and stressful. Miss ** relieved a lot of these pressures. She found me an affordable mortgage in a very short time. Was preapproved for conventional. Then was told I had to go FHA. Therefore I had to hand all of my equity for the sale of my home at close. I was referred to a credit repair guy by Toby at Gateway who asked for $1500 upfront before he repaired credit. He then wanted an additional $1500 At close. The only reason my credit score went up was because I paid my debt below 30 percent. The consumer credit law prohibits any credit repair to charge more than a $300 consult fee prior to successful credit repair. I was taken advantage of and threatened by the credit repair person after close. I am unhappy with the total experience with Gateway. My interest rate was still 4.25 percent after paying credit repair and all my debt off. Then I was shorted $100 at close that was refunded by the title company when my realtor disputed it with Toby at Gateway.

We are very pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness we received from Elizabeth ** and Chrissi ** in the processing of the loan for **. We had used another brokerage and were frustrated with the lack of attention and efficiency we received from that company. It took about six weeks to obtain my mortgage but a lot of that was due to the underwriters, not due to Gateway. Working with Gateway made me not to have to live in a box.

My cousin who is a Realtor recommended Gateway Mortgage. I applied for an RD loan through them for a new home. Shana, my loan officer was amazing. She answered my questions even after hours. The issue I had had to do with my credit report coming in slowly, and Gateway was trying to lock down every account that I had opened over the last year, so they were a little bit delayed towards the end of closing. The whole thing took about four weeks. Aside from that, everything was fine. My rep was very professional and responsive most the time. It was hard to get a hold of them on the weekend, but that’s understandable. I’m pretty happy with them.

I've had three loans with Gateway. The very first one, the gentleman set everything up and he was the one that contacted and sent the information and documents. He was excellent. This time, apparently he doesn’t work for Gateway anymore. That’s a loss for them because the person who was my contact came close to forcing me to go to another lender. The sticking point was he wanted me to assume a greater interest rate than what was on the market. He didn’t answer the questions directly. As a result, I was gonna shop somewhere else. I called to make a payment and told the story to a rep, and he understood. He said, “Let me see what I can do.” Next thing I knew, we were back on track. Bianca was the one who finished it up and she was excellent. So, two out of the three people that I finished up with were very good, and the first one was miserable.

Kile ** was the loan officer I was referred to, at the time she was working for Cap West then later started working for Gateway and didn't notify me until I called since I had not heard from her. She advised me to fill out another application with Gateway, which I did. I was the one calling to find out where I stand; and when she responded, most of the time it was with a text message. Since the houses I was looking into was a bit higher then What I was qualified for, my daughter who's in the Army, offered to help me. I mentioned it to Kile **, she asked about her income. When she told her, she didn't believe her. She made the comment "I've done many VA loan. I don't believe that's all you make, I'll need some paper to show it" which we already know she'll need to show proof of income anyway. Although my daughter felt like she called her a liar, she submitted the application.

I bought a house and took an FHA loan with Gateway Mortgage. Then, I refinanced on my investment property. Gateway's application process was on point all the time. The application and underwriting process took 18 days, which was quick and everything about the process was clear. The loan officer has a lot of information on-hand and if I ask a question, he answers right there. I got preapproved and then went house hunting. Once my offer was accepted by seller I had to resend some paperwork and esign some other papers but the entire process was surprisingly painless. Jackie **, the Mortgage Sales manager kept us updated on the process with timely and informative communication. We did most of the process via email but Jackie was always willing to use text or answer my phone call. I kept waiting for all the bad things I have heard of, to happen to me, but before I knew it we were at the closing table signing our documents for our perfect house. 2 things set Gateway apart from the mortgage crowd. 1. Mortgage Officers really care about you and go the extra mile to work with you. My officer saved me from making a big mistake (using a Bank) and also worked evenings to find a way to qualify for a new loan while selling my current home. 2. They service their loans which means that the relationships forged in the application process remain intact and allow you to develop a deep and meaningful relationship.

I love this company. They believed in us when others stopped communicating. I would definitely recommend Gateway Mortgage to others. They made me the happiest woman alive. Oh yeah and my husband lol. We dealt with Bryan and Seth ** at Gateway Mortgage and to be honest, I had already had a lender at the time when I met Bryan. I was blown away by his “easy” voice and ability roll with my schedule, and his techie abilities in that I was able to do 80% of the app through texts & email. I dropped our other lender obviously for this wiz at Gateway and was happy all the way through it!
