I highly recommend Five Lakes, because, they have positively changed my life and set me on the proper financial path forward and I feel that they could definitely do the same for many others. I was drowning in debt and was close to bankruptcy, after a fortunate turn of events I found myself in a resolution program with Five Lakes, that lowered my monthly payments and allowed me to keep my head above water. If you are in a similar situation with debt, I can confidently say Five Lakes is an excellent choice.

After being stressed for many months trying to decide whether I should file for bankruptcy or go the debt consolidation route, I chose Five Lakes to help me from 10 years of bad credit and go with credit consolidation.

We started with Five Lake Lawyers a few months ago. Things are moving right along. They are helping us with our first account pay off now. We have not received any phone calls from creditors. This program is a blessing. Hopefully, we will have paid off all the accounts in 4 or 5 years. This will be due to Five Lakes Law Firm.

Transparent, and timely account progress updates, have been hugely helpful in navigating the financial mess that we can all easily fall victim to, especially in times of continued health crisis. Five Lakes Law Group has been handling my account with excellent professionalism.

Signed up in October 2025. Keep getting charged 27% for 2 different creditors. They take huge chunks of money for themselves and pay very little towards the debt I owe.

The entire process of initiating an inquiry to onboarding with the firm and Accredited was thorough, transparent and easy to understand. All of my questions and concerns were answered in a professional yet friendly manner with full disclosure. I started with 5 lakes, and at first it was fine. Your credit does take a hit, but that's to be expected. I entered the program with 3 accounts. The first one didn't have much on it and was the first to be resolved, so I felt good about it. The 2nd one wasn't negotiated down at all and I ended up paying nearly the entire amount. Two months before that one was finished out, they started getting aggressive with the 3rd card. They were trying to demand I pay more than I even make - like by twice as much.

They helped me out immensely and now I’m saving over $400 a month on my payments and I’ll be paid off in 5-6 years EARLIER than I would’ve been without them. I can't thank them enough for all the help they've given me. I had a piece of mind knowing that I CAN do this with them by my side

Although it is early in the process with a long road ahead, so far, everyone I have spoken with has listened and I feel heard about my debt issues and needing to get it behind me. Everyone has been empathetic and clearly explained the next steps on this journey together. From the very first person I spoke with, Celia, then to the law firm’s personnel to the attorney, I was at complete ease for once. Everyone was so kind, understanding and explained everything so clearly. I can’t believe I waited as long as I did to make that call. I’m into great customer service and they are excellent!

When I first signed up and for about the first year they seemed to really be on the ball. They paid off two accounts quite quickly and set up payments for two more. That was two years ago. They have done nothing since. They say that they have contacted others but, I have received no further help. If you send a message asking why they say if you send more money it will be quicker.

I hired 5 Lakes Law Group to reduce and pay my debt. I followed all instructions and did the attorney call. About a year into my payments, they sent me a letter saying that my account was being closed due to me not doing the attorney call. I called them and told them I did that at the beginning and even gave them the date. They were able to pull it up that it was done and said I must have been canceled by mistake. They even had me sign a form to reinstate my payment plan, but they never reinstated it. Instead, they sent all the money back in my account. I called them and let them know this was supposed to be reinstated and they told me there was a ticket open. I called 3 times with no resolve. Now I'm in debt way over what I can afford and have to sell my house. I would not hire.

From my first call, I immediately felt less stress and felt hope for the first time in years. I thought I could handle my debt on my own, but I never got close. My team of Paris, Regina, and Madison explained everything clearly. I just started the program and I feel so much relief already. I cannot wait to complete this debt relief in just 4 1/2 years, and save money along the way.

They're extremely thorough and make sure you understand everything. They also let you know you can call anytime with questions. They let you know how to deal with creditor calls, and a number for a creditor to call them directly.

From the time I first spoke with the awesome people at 5 Lakes, I’ve had the feeling that I had made the right choice. They’ve really been solid through this whole process. They answered all my questions and made sure I had multiple ways to contact them if I needed.

Client services communicated well during the process and were very polite and helpful. My issue is the number I was quoted at first consultation to “sell” me the program, ended up costing me close to $25,000 more than I was quoted when I joined. There was no remedy offered and basically, I could have done negotiations myself with my debtors. Yes it saved me a few thousand dollars but for a year’s worth of work and ruining my credit it was not worth doing.

WOULD NEVER DO AGAIN. My credit score has nothing but nose dive over three years. They hassled me into paying more than I was already on my debt, the only gain is that they negotiated some of my debt down, but the bad all outweighs the good.

They waited until the 13th hour to settle several of my accounts, so I ended up paying WAY more per month than they originally offered. Then I had to come up with $3300 to pay another creditor because they did not settle in time. Their customer service is great, but the whole program is complete TRASH. I do NOT recommend using them. Try to settle the accounts yourself!!! You will make out way better.

First, it took a great deal of nerve for me to make the call. However, after my conversation with Brady and Nico, I actually went home feeling as though a burden had been lifted. Over the past few months, I would leave work and do absolutely nothing once I got home. Yesterday was different—I did laundry, prepared my lunch for today, and went to bed feeling lighter. I am looking forward to the future, while also feeling some regret that my finances became such a source of stress.

Their service is bait and switch. You're given an amount to pay each month, but because they take their fees, so very little gets paid. In the meantime, the creditors are not paid, so they are charged off and sold to attorneys for collection. Once it reaches that stage, you're put in a position to either pay a lump sum or increase your monthly payment. If their clients had those funds, they would not need this service. I feel like I may have done better dealing with my creditors on my own.

The informational session was very informative and prepared me well for the attorney talk. No surprises were encountered, and Les and the attorney were more than transparent with answers to any questions I had. They have made the process of approaching and enrolling in debt resolution easy and have taken away the stress and fear of our debt.

I came to Five Lakes Law Group through Accredited to help me with my debts, which had become significant and a real burden to me. Compared to past experiences, they were easy to work with, and it was a simpler approach from a practical point of view, actually helping me and not just making money. I have confidence in them and the program that was developed for me. The Program worked out required monthly deposits over 70% less than what I had been paying to handle the debts. This is significantly less and not a burden for me.

Amazing communication. Not just out here for their own business but actually here to help you succeed and get out of that hole you're badly trying to crawl out of. I had debt and loans as well as my wife and they took all our debt and but it under one payment and not only that but they made it so I was not feeling like I’m so far behind check to check.

I tried 2 other debt resolution companies. Things changed, kept getting my checking account overdrawn and it was just a timing issue. Hard to get them to work with me for just 1 or 2 day adjustment. I had given them. $5,050. 00. Only about $600 was paid to my 2 settlements they had. The rest was fees. They need to pay mine first. I could have had 1 paid off with $5000.00. Another company was ok, just small. Took 6-8 months to get my first small settlement.

I had spent months searching for employment, constant rejections, finding ways to make my minimum payments which never moved because of the interest rates to only realize... I can't do this. I thought, " The worst they can say is No, sorry." But that WAS NOT THE CASE.

During my debt consolidation experience thus far, all parties involved have been extremely knowledgeable and transparent. They have answered all my questions and concerns with confidence. They have made sure I have all the knowledge and know where to find answers and make changes.

Think twice about doing this. I took a 12,000 loan off my program which reduced my payments to 32 months at 571.00 a month. I recently dropped my last 2 creditors and the customer service person said my payments go on for 55 months, that's crazy. After my last 2 creditors were dropped, my total balance should be around 10,000. By January, I would have paid over 17,000. Very upset.

I was very hesitant on consolidating, but this whole experience is like a breath of fresh air. They are so patient, kind and explained everything so well. I am very grateful. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Five Lakes Law Group will promise 50% debt reduction, but expect around 3.5% on the smallest debt. Despite the promising phone calls and feedback surveys they are INEFFECTIVE. I brought my debt to them in May of 2024 and despite claiming $11,336.50 in estimated reduction they actually got me just $797.93. That's only 7% of what they projected when I consolidated my debt with them. They say "we won't be charging a fee" but they wasted a year of negotiation time so I'm not sure they ever could have justified charging any fees. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMATE.

I hired Five Lakes Law Group to do a debt settlement on Wells Fargo and Discover credit cards. FL informed me that they would settle both cc within 3 years and if I paid $524.32 every month for 3 years. I started with FL in 03/2023. Both credit card companies have settled. But FL wants me to KEEP paying $524.32/month until 07/2027. That's 16 month LONGER than we agreed. AND $8,389.12 ($524.32 x 16 = $8,389.12). More is what they are trying to get me to pay. I am sorry that FL must have a terrible negotiating team. But I won't have joined with FL if it was longer than 3 years to pay it off. I don't like the negotiated contract to pay Discover off.

I would NOT recommend this company. Do yourself a solid, call your creditors directly and work out a payment plan. I'm now having to owe more money in the end bc they thought they were doing me a favor by not including their fees until the end. So, now I just got hit with owing 4500 more. Again, I could have saved myself a lot of money by calling the creditors directly. It's a shame..I tried to see if they would cut the balance in half and the "supervisor" No. Terrible Terrible business.. transparency??? Yes ok. Be careful. Your money is better in your pocket than theirs.

I found each representative very helpful in explaining the program and how its benefits. I was impressed that with each conversation the individual reinforced my understanding of the terms of the program and each step of the agreement. I felt I was making the right decision in signing up for this opportunity. There was clarification for any questions I requested and fully explained how the process worked and provided me with understandable details. I felt very comfortable with each conversation.

Like the idea how they look into another account while still paying off one. And you can add funds to speed up paying off an account. Helpful in getting your credit score back up. You can always talk to someone if you have questions. In the beginning of this process you have a few people who explain the process. I was with another company, so happy I changed over to Five Lakes, always follow your gut feelings.

They are great with communicating about what's happening with my account, and the app they use is very user friendly. So I spoke with DeAndre and he was awesome. He made me feel as though he was there to help me and was very thorough and his explanation of everything that was expected and what I could expect from the creditors and there’s a lot of legal jargon in your contracts and he did a thorough job, walking me through that and explaining everything to me so overall very helpful experience!

So far they have been really helpful and upbeat. Have not started payments or anything. Have not started negotiations yet. Will see how they are when that starts. Based on what I have seen and been told, everything should work out fine.

All of y'all that are giving five star reviews are talking about how nice the people are and how reassuring they make you feel. Of course they're going to do that to get you to sign up! They did absolutely nothing for me! I would have saved more money settling with the debt collectors myself! I highly would not recommend this company. I paid them over $1,600 and got nothing in return not one settlement with a credit card company. They had two enrolled that I had made payments towards and then I go to look at my dashboard one day and there's nothing there. So I reached out to them and they said that my account have been terminated? Excuse me so nobody reached out to tell me that my account was terminated but they kept taking money out of my checking account every two weeks and never even told me why my account was terminated!

I am truly pleased with this group! They keep me updated during the process of paying off debt which gives me peace of mind during difficult times. I would highly recommend them if you need someone you can trust.

I have been with Five Lakes Law Group for over two years. On my last settlement with a CC, I did not accept their offer. Was only reduced by 900. I counter offered with half of debt. CC company is now taking me to court. After I received my document from this group, it stated "I can call the team to request a consultation with your attorney in order to learn what should take place at your first hearing". After speaking with Rebecca, **, she stated that was a mistake and for me to contact ** to get the information myself. She went on to say, after court hearing to send them any documentation I will be receiving. And someone will be in touch. I thought that is what this firm is supposed to do. I felt the negations for this one particular CC should have been handled better, seeing how they "deal with them all the time". And I had another account with the CC which they negotiated fine with. Why is the second account different? Same company too..

When dealing with sensitive and stressful issues, it is a relief to have representatives that are trained to be helpful and understanding. Each interaction is informative and pleasant. Some may argue "they are just doing their jobs". More in the customer service field should be half as good at their job.

Do not deal with this so called Law group, it's years and years of payments, you will pay much more than you owe, no one will return your calls, settle your debt on your own. I cancelled after one year. A lot of bogus five star reviews.

I just wish there was more time trying to notify creditors that haven't responded to correspondence. Other than that, Five Lakes Law is easily contacted, friendly to work with, and has always answered any questions with kindness and professionalism.

I have been working with Five Lakes Law Group, but I should say they are working with me. They are so patient as computer skills are a challenge for me. They keep me updated. I work in a busy office and can not accept calls on my personal phone so everything I do is on my home computer. Some days I don't get home till after 6:00 and exhausted after looking at computer screen for my job all day and answering phones, I am so burned out. I try to answer when then text or email and again computers and I are not friends. Paper and pen are more my speed. But technology is the way of the future so I keep trying. Again, they are always so understanding and helpful and patient when dealing with this over 60, almost 70-year-old lady.
