So I spoke with DeAndre and he was awesome. He made me feel as though he was there to help me and was very thorough and his explanation of everything that was expected and what I could expect from the creditors and there’s a lot of legal jargon in your contracts and he did a thorough job, walking me through that and explaining everything to me so overall very helpful experience!

So far they have been really helpful and upbeat. Have not started payments or anything. Have not started negotiations yet. Will see how they are when that starts. Based on what I have seen and been told, everything should work out fine.

All of y'all that are giving five star reviews are talking about how nice the people are and how reassuring they make you feel. Of course they're going to do that to get you to sign up! They did absolutely nothing for me! I would have saved more money settling with the debt collectors myself! I highly would not recommend this company. I paid them over $1,600 and got nothing in return not one settlement with a credit card company. They had two enrolled that I had made payments towards and then I go to look at my dashboard one day and there's nothing there. So I reached out to them and they said that my account have been terminated? Excuse me so nobody reached out to tell me that my account was terminated but they kept taking money out of my checking account every two weeks and never even told me why my account was terminated!

I am truly pleased with this group! They keep me updated during the process of paying off debt which gives me peace of mind during difficult times. I would highly recommend them if you need someone you can trust.

I just started with this company and I am very confident that I will be able to resolve all of my credit issues. Repair my credit and move on. Just getting the confidence to at least try to fix your credit so then you can fix your life is everything.

I have been with Five Lakes Law Group for over two years. On my last settlement with a CC, I did not accept their offer. Was only reduced by 900. I counter offered with half of debt. CC company is now taking me to court. After I received my document from this group, it stated "I can call the team to request a consultation with your attorney in order to learn what should take place at your first hearing". After speaking with Rebecca, **, she stated that was a mistake and for me to contact ** to get the information myself. She went on to say, after court hearing to send them any documentation I will be receiving. And someone will be in touch. I thought that is what this firm is supposed to do. I felt the negations for this one particular CC should have been handled better, seeing how they "deal with them all the time". And I had another account with the CC which they negotiated fine with. Why is the second account different? Same company too..

When dealing with sensitive and stressful issues, it is a relief to have representatives that are trained to be helpful and understanding. Each interaction is informative and pleasant. Some may argue "they are just doing their jobs". More in the customer service field should be half as good at their job.

Do not deal with this so called Law group, it's years and years of payments, you will pay much more than you owe, no one will return your calls, settle your debt on your own. I cancelled after one year. A lot of bogus five star reviews.

Updated on 11/02/2025: So far, so good. Everything is the way I was told it would be. It does take time. Be patient. I just wish there was more time trying to notify creditors that haven't responded to correspondence. Other than that, Five Lakes Law is easily contacted, friendly to work with, and has always answered any questions with kindness and professionalism.

New experience for me. Learned the process with Accredited and then again with Five Lakes. Very knowledgeable people. And friendly. I feel like this process will work for me. Excited for the journey. I’m glad I reached out.

I have been working with Five Lakes Law Group, but I should say they are working with me. They are so patient as computer skills are a challenge for me. They keep me updated. I work in a busy office and can not accept calls on my personal phone so everything I do is on my home computer. Some days I don't get home till after 6:00 and exhausted after looking at computer screen for my job all day and answering phones, I am so burned out. I try to answer when then text or email and again computers and I are not friends. Paper and pen are more my speed. But technology is the way of the future so I keep trying. Again, they are always so understanding and helpful and patient when dealing with this over 60, almost 70-year-old lady.

The gentleman that helped me was very transparent about the process and explained it all very well. He was also empathetic and did not make me feel bad for all the debt I have racked up. Overall it was a very smooth process getting set up!

I called in to see if someone could help with my on going credit debt. I was glad I got the help I needed with my credit card debt. It was easy and I talked to someone and got the low payment, that I could afford. On my way, hopefully debt free.

From my experience so far I am happy with the plan we have come up with, all the services available to me and the ability to be a part of the process. I had no problem with 5 Lakes the first two years until an aggressive credit card company refused to settle and take me to court. I had to pay extra every paycheck because they couldn’t do what they said they could do. I signed up for debt relief and the lawyer I talked to in the beginning said they work with these credit card companies all the time and never had an issue. 5 Lakes had to “dip” into my escrow to pay the aggressive credit card company off with no negotiation and I had to pay extra to keep up my escrow balance for the two I’m currently paying off. There is another credit card I have that’s being aggressive and 5 lakes contacted me to pay yet, extra again, because they can’t get it negotiated. I refused because I can’t afford it. They declined offer and are negotiating yet again. I signed up for one amount every paycheck, that’s all I’m paying. 5 lakes is getting paid to negotiate and that’s what they need to do. I’m too far in to stop now.

The customer service was exemplary! I was in contact with Josie and Barra, both were extremely patient and knowledgeable. There were times during the long conversation, I was a little anxious and I explained my concerns to the ladies. They listened and addressed the concerns and I felt reassured I had made the right decision. They were extremely supportive and professional.

I feel very involved in the process of resolving my debt. This company is very straightforward and upfront about the process. Everyone was so helpful to explaining the whole process to me. From the intake to setting up my account on the app that is used was very helpful and it's very easy to manage.

This whole experience has been very stressful. I have just been served for the 6th time and have had very little support from Five Lakes Law Group. I am in my 14th month with them. I am paying 330 every two weeks plus an addition 800-1000 more when they “settle an account”. They have negotiated two of my accounts on which I am paying one account 291 a month and one 126 a month. Three accounts I had to negotiate with my creditors and set up my own payments for out of my private bank account. One I pay 159 a month, one 200 a month and one 121 a month. Currently I was served three weeks ago for a 3700 account which I am having to go to court on my own about it and just got served again last week for a 1700 account which I will have to go to court about on my own again. Honestly at this point I will not be able to stay in the five lakes program, I cannot afford to keep sending them 330 every two weeks.

I was turned over to Niko from Accredited.com-Niko was very friendly warm and professional. Not to mention he has an incredible voice! He went over the same details and info that Accredited.com had already given me but it was reassuring to hear the same things from another party. I felt like I was in good hands and glad that I made the decision to move forward.

Those I've spoken with so far have been compassionate, professional and knowledgeable. They are very concerned about quality, accuracy and transparency. I'm just beginning my journey but am off to a good start!

I thought it was a scam at first because my the people I owed money to tried to say they can help me more than them but they wanted me to take more loans to lower payments but all they wanted was for me to was take more loans and keep me in debt to them. I know they take about 27% for fees but the one monthly payment for all the multiple debts is like 382$. If didn’t do that my whole check will be going to pay all my debt. You can put in more to speed up the process or not, it’s up to you so I gave them a chance and I see the negative reviews and you don’t know what the people complaining about is entirely true or not so I just gave them a chance to see for myself.

DO NOT use this company for debt consolidation. They do not help if you are being sued by a bank. You will have to represent yourself in your home state. Five Lakes holds your money and takes a monthly fee, plus a 27% fee once a debt is settled. I saved hardly any money after all is done, after they tack on their fees. Five Lakes will not close my account and release me from their program even though all the money is in my account to pay off all of my bills.

BE CAREFUL!!! My total debt between 2 credit cards was less than $20,000. By the time Five Lakes negotiated settlements, with the additional late fees and penalties the banks charged, I am being charged more than the original debt: EXAMPLE. Original debt. $3999.29. Creditor balance by the time it was negotiated: $5073.37. Negotiated offer amount. $2526.69. Five Lakes Fee. $1,079.81. Paying it off early does not lower the Five Lakes Fee either! I was told someone would review the fees and had a phone appointment which was never received. I was also told that if I paid in extra $, this could be applied to the outstanding accounts - wrong info! By the time I am finished, I will have saved a whopping $392.79 plus the credit hit plus all the hassle!

They do not tell you anything about the fees upfront. After eight months, I finally got a settlement offer and they pulled $3000 out of my account for their own fees. I started with $38,000 worth of debt and I now have $44,000 worth of credit card debt from interest in late fees that are piling up because they told me not to pay the bills now I am $6000 more in debt and out $3000.

So far so good, just signed up for resolution of debts and all the questions I had were answered by several individuals and I did receive nearly the same answer. Some scripted, but well adapted to handle customer's interruptions and uneasiness. Very good service! Thank you all! Larry.

After 2-years in the program. Just understand if you are considering this program, nothing gets done quickly. I have been in the program for about 2 years and as I am getting back on my feet and trying to get out of debt Five Lakes doesn't make it any easier. I just notified them last week to pay off two creditors early, and work on a resolution for one of the smaller accounts (only $289). Crickets!!! I have been paying a little extra to get out of this money leeching system for the last 6 months but when you want to pay off early that is evidently not a priority. I HATE I EVER took this route, but I am too far in now to quit. Bankruptcy would have been less painful. Also, how about $5,044.46 in fees that could have gone to my creditors instead of Five Lakes Law Group. Rip Off. DON'T Do It. There are better ways to get out of debt.

The representative (Todd) was very professional, thorough and insured that I understood the process. The lady that I spoke to afterwards to set up my appointment with the attorney was also very professional and thorough. The attorney was very professional as well. This company has done nothing to help me get out of financial debt, started with 5 accounts and ended with 2 and they just keep asking for more and more money. The amount I’m paying should be covering the amount for all 5 accounts not just the 2.

Everyone that I talked to was so nice, and explained everything and how it works. I felt so much relief from what they explained to me and how they would help with my situation. I highly recommend them.

To start, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Why? I was in financial hardship of my own stupidity and decided to give them a try for Credit Card debt relief. They were open and honest about the whole process during onboarding except for 1 detail. THEIR FEES!!! When they get a resolution offer for you, and you agree, they take a 27% cut. Was this described during onboarding. NOPE. This isn't 27% off the resolution offer either. They take it from the original full balance when you signed up!!! Also, not discussed. I know you have to make money and I’m okay with that but 27%? When you’re talking debt that is as much as a car. That is a lot of money. Talk about “making it rain”. They make the deal sound good by saying you pay a low APR and us peasants have no clue how that works accept 6% seems like a good deal.

Ashley was an absolute gem to work with!! She took the time to thoroughly explain every part of the process. She answered all my questions. I could tell she genuinely wanted to help me. It was a great experience working with her and the others at Five Lakes Law Group!!

I am still very nervous doing this. I have never done this before. I’m nervous about stopping all payments and how my credit score will even get worse. Seriously, DO NOT enroll. Settle the debts on your own. They made promises to me that cost me BIG. Do not fall for their helpful tone - they’re there to take your money. Eighty-percent of what I was depositing for my debts went to them. Do not make the same mistake I made.

My accounts were settled in record time. I was not totally satisfied with the service that Five Lakes is offering. I would not hesitate to recommend Five Lakes to my family and friends. They are worth boasting about.

Five Lakes has been a Godsend to me! From the ferry beginning, they've maintained professionalism, punctuality, and have done exactly what the say they would do. Their app is extremely user friendly and I'm so grateful to be working with them.

I enrolled at Five Lakes Law Group with 12,000 in debt. 2 1/2 years later, I have not even gotten halfway through my program and I have paid them over $5,500. I have been sued by one of the credit cards already, and another is threatening to sue. They said, "Well, we can’t guarantee that creditors won’t pursue legal action against you even if you are enrolled in this program." I paid over $400 in legal filings and had to show up in court 3 times. I finally added up the fees they were charging and realized I was being ripped off. I did some research and found a non profit organization that deals with debt counseling. I wish I had done this sooner. Do not use FLLG unless you want to get scammed.

Promises to resolve your debt and have two pending lawsuits now and possibly judgements to follow. I had my account fully funded and not debt collector was ever called be these scammers to try and resolve the debt. They tell you to ignore the collectors and the letters to send them. Which we did. So my wife called the debt collectors and asked did Five Lakes call to try and negotiate a settlement! The debt collector manager stated that no one ever called to try and resolve anything with them. Don’t trust any debt resolution programs. They just make false claims and it can hurt you more than just calling a debt collector and try and resolve it yourself or talk to a bankruptcy attorney for more help before going down a long drawn out legal battle.

After notifying them that we were pursuing bankruptcy they took money from our bank account unexpectedly. After speaking with people we were told they would refund us. We received less than half the amount. When contacting them again we were promised that we would be refunded the rest. That was a lie because they were already sending the balance to the creditor. They claimed it was a "mistake" but we are now out of that money that we needed for groceries and bills. Also, they claimed we would have total control over the dedicated account, which was another lie. There is no way to withdraw funds if needed on the site, so you have to call which is obviously useless. We wish we had listened to the warnings and never gotten involved with this program. Then when you want to discontinue it they heavily pressure you to remain in it using scare tactics. I highly recommend staying away from Five Lakes.
