At first, I was a little nervous about calling to seek help because of all the horror stories that you hear about the hidden fees, etc., I’m so glad I decided to reach out for help. I want to thank Keith ** for walking me through this process and making my comfort level at ease. Keith took his time and was very patient with me while I gather all my information to be submitted. I must say this is like me hitting the lottery. I am now on my way to recovery to zeroing out my debt. Thanks so much to the Five Lakes Group!!!

I maxed out my debt limit, and I was not sure how I was going to face the upcoming payments. I am not the first, but it still feels awful. So, I started to look for a debt consolidation company for a loan. I discovered the perfect option instead. I followed my instinct and was given a gift when I was referred to Five Lakes Law Group. I spoke with their first point of contact and started the enrollment process for their program. Today, I feel so relieved knowing I’ll be settling my debt with a respected law firm supporting me every step of the way.

I feel very fortunate to have picked this group. They are friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. I know I am in the hands of a truly professional group and am eager to see the results coming in. Their website is just packed with all the information to keep me up to date. They encourage you to call if there are issues with creditors and questions about the process. I'm very close to finishing my program of paying off my credit cards and loans for a reduced settlement amount. Couldn't be happier. Little upset about the fees charged for each settlement in addition to the monthly fees. Otherwise it has been a worthwhile program

Everyone has been so nice, understanding and professional. Taking this step was really not what I wanted to do, as I feel responsible for the debt I have incurred, but really have no choice and need to do something to improve things, which makes me feel incredibly guilty. Everyone I have interacted with is very helpful and knowledgeable. They also answer all questions thoroughly and take the time to make sure you are comfortable and understand the process.

DO NOT use this company!!! Do your own negotiating. They kept saying we need $3000 and we can settle this today. Then when you do close out your account they come back and say, "You owe us this amount of money for program fees on an account that was closed nine months prior." They went months not negotiating my accounts when I had over $8000 in there waiting to go to my creditors. When I asked to close the account and to send my funds back they took $1000 “program fees” on an old account I closed out.

They are not clear on their fees and completely give you the run around. They basically kept most of my money to pay themselves instead of paying off my debt. Never use this service. Their goal is not to get you out of debt but to get you to pay the 27% of your debt to them and then pay off your debt which if you spoke to your creditors directly would've given you that offer anyway. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would.

I would recommend Five Lakes to anyone who is struggling with debt. They are very detail oriented. They think of every little thing to make the process easier. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

We were at a point that we knew we needed to do something. I was very nervous and the reps that I spoke with were easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. Shannon helped me make some important decisions but I still felt in control.

I was very nervous about this do to so many scams out there. But after talking with the representation of this firm, they made me very comfortable. I understood how the program works and know exactly what they are able to do for me. I strongly recommend Five Lakes.

They don’t actually help relieve anything. It seems like they do, but you just end up paying them everything you would’ve owed. I had $20,000 in debt and still paid $20,000 and then some because of the money I owed them. Plus all the accounts I paid off went as “charged off,” and my credit went from a 700 to less than 600. I even had a civil lawsuit filed against me for debt I had paid that is still unresolved. PLEASE take this as a warning and do NOT hire them!!!

From the start, the person I spoke with was very helpful, friendly, and above all, very patient. Towards the end of the call, I was left feeling very confident that I had made the right choice because I had learned quite a bit of excellent information.

Five lakes law group did not lower any of my debt. They wait until you get sued by the company in order to negotiate the debt. My debt increased to a higher amount then what I owed. Which they take 27 percent of it. I gave them extra money to pay off one of the creditor. They didn't pay them off at all. They took the money out of the account and kept it. They wanted more money. They do not represent you at court and the negotiate on tat debts were not lowered. I was paying more out of pocket. I felt I was getting the run around on my questions. When I canceled the program they said that any money that was left will go back to me after they take out fees and other attorney fees which is all the money I paid into the debt account to pay the creditors. I also asked where the extra money went. They said it went to other offers when there was no offers made. Never do business with them. They are not upfront with their fees and cutting your debt down.

This program is just what I needed, and everyone has been very helpful at explaining everything to me. It was really easy to navigate, and I’m excited to complete the process. It’s reassuring to know they’re there to assist and support me. Thank you.

So far, our experience with Five Lakes has been excellent. The process has been seamless, customer service has been incredibly helpful, and their willingness to do everything they can to reduce our overall debt and monthly payments has been stress-free. We finally have some breathing room in our finances. It’s been such a pleasant experience.

Simple and straightforward. They are doing what I asked them to do. They are not finished with all of my accounts yet but several of my past due accounts have been settled for about 50% of the original balance. Good job.
