This is the biggest ripoff on the internet. I tried to work with them through green dot cards and vanilla reload networks, and found out I was SCAMMED. Then someone name Samuel called to tell me they had been hacked and that thousand of their customers took a loss and that he would make it 'right', that his PRIMARY focus was to have SATISFIED CUSTOMERS!! He talked a good talk and I decided to give him a chance to redeem himself, and what do you know...it was the same thing, different day.

This company is NOT one you want to EVER work with!! I believe it is called 'bait and hook' and the sooner people know who they are working with, the better. AVOID CASH USA at ALL COSTS!! DO NOT believe ANYTHING these people say...now they've stolen $450 from me and I pray that they be rewarded fairly for their actions.

I applied for a loan. Since my credit score is low, Cash Net USA said I needed to purchase a green dot moneypak cardboard card! They then said I needed to send more for insurance. They say the money will be paid back to me besides the loan. They said they could put money within 30 minutes! I also had to pay transfer fees! I don't have the money and really need a loan. They have my money. Wish somebody could help resolve the issue!

I received an email from Federal Legislation is pressing charges against me because I owe $594 to USA Cashnet USA. They stated they were charging me with theft by deception and collateral cheque fraud. I called Justin asking the name of the firm and why I hadn't received anything in writing, he wouldn't give me straight answers by law. I am entitled to setup a payment plan. I told him I would contact them directly, he began to yell this is insane.

CashNetUSA needs to do something about this, how are these people able to harass their customers or potential customers. These type of matters need to be investigated especially when they are lying saying they are represented by the government. I am about to call CashnetUSA directly.

I was very cautious and hesitant to use this company. They said the process was very quick and easy. We would have the money by the end of the day. They were right about that. The end of the day 4 days later. Then we asked what do we need to do in the event that we needed to do an extension. She said just call in before the date of the payroll. She said just call in before that date. I called in the day before and the rep told me it was too late - I needed to call in 2 days before. No sooner, no later and that there was no stopping the transaction now. So I thanked her for her time and said this was our 1st and last transaction together and that they lost a customer. She had the audacity to say, "I'm sure someone else will call in by the time we hang up and need our assistance. You’re welcome and enjoy your 4th of July weekend." As much as you need the money, please don't use them. There's others out there that can help you. Good luck!!!

Cashnet USA approved my initial loan. Sent me the email stating it would be deposited next day. I get an email not three hrs later saying they needed more info. I sent them documents and waited. Two days later, it was still on hold. Called and they said, "Oh, you're approved! Funds will be available tomorrow!" I get another email saying I have to re-sign because my contract expired. I re-sign and was told by a manager that it was approved. Get the email saying funds available the 1st. Made arrangements to pay rent on that day. Just got an email stating, "Oh sorry, no, you weren't approved." And a rude rep on the phone stating, "Oh, we send those emails to everyone." This is the worst company ever.

I wanted to get a loan from this Bogus company for 1,000 dollars. They first told me it would cost me 100.00 to set up the loan and that my 100.00 would be refunded when I received the loan. Then I was told due to a late payment on a bill I had it was going to cost me an additional 299.00 to process my loan due to that issue. So once I told them it was costing me more money and that I had not received one dime from them they got rude and told me these were the terms, and once I told them I wanted to cancel the entire contract. Then I was told I would have to pay an additional 111.11 to have my money transferred back into my account. This company is a rip-off and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for sure.

When I logged in to my account to check the status of the most recent loan I had paid off, I kept getting a message stating, "Your loan app has been denied". However, I did not apply for another loan. I have contacted Cashnet on two diff attempts and still do not have a clear explanation to why my account status is saying I was denied. Since, I do not use the opt of extending my loan, and have paid my current loans on time, I am under the impression that maybe this company doesn't want to do business with someone who they cannot get the extra fees out of.

I have never received a loan or borrowed from this company. I was in a situation where I needed money really bad so I applied for different online loan services. Somehow I got mixed up with this loan service. They called and said I was approved for a loan and asked if I wanted it put into my bank account. Then they said they couldn't and it would be required for me to give them some money to the tune of about 500 dollars. I told them I would not give them a dime of my money. That is the point of getting the loan as I don't have the money. I blocked them on my cell phone from these 2 numbers: 1-909-758-0115 and 1-909-666-4425. But I had made one mistake and gave them my work phone number.

They keep calling and harassing me at work yelling at me and acting like they have a lawyer on the phone and they are going to press charges against me for fraud and whatever else they can dream up. I have told them no, never call me at work ever again and still they persist. I have contacted the local police department and advised them and they said this is a civil matter.

So I have decided to pursue this further. The police informed me of my rights and we do have some resources at our disposal. Contact your attorney general's office. Missouri number is 800-392-8222 and in Kansas it is 800-432-2310. Call the Federal trade commission at 877-382-4357. Also advise the better business bureau @ Bbb.org and of course this agency here consumer affairs. By law, in this country, this is what any bill collector or any other entity may not do on the phone:

    1) Contact you at unreasonable times or places (before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m.) unless you agree, or at work if you tell them to not contact your work as your employer disagrees with this. 2) Contact you after you write a letter to the agency telling them to stop. Unless the creditor notifies you he will try to take some specific action. 3) Contact your friends, relatives, employer or others, except to find out where you live or work. 4) Tell your friends that you owe money. 5) Harass you by, for example, threats of harm to you or your reputation, use of profane language or repeated telephone calls. 6) Make any false statement including that you will be arrested or threaten to have money deducted from your paycheck or sue you, unless the collection agency intends to do so and it is legal.

To file a complaint against a debt collector, contact your state or local consumer protection agency, attorney general's office or the Federal Trade Commission.

I received a call saying I was approved for a $3000 loan but had to show good faith and put $90 on a MoneyPak (which was taken off the card immediately). I was then told they were unable to deposit into my account. The bank refused. I could use Western Union but it would costs $180. I paid that and was then told I needed to pay $65 for paperwork; once that was paid I needed to pay $50 for bank commission. They refused to refund any monies.

I kept asking if there anymore fees and was told no pay this and we will release the money which was to include a reimbursement of fees paid to that point. Of course they wanted more money to wire to my bank account. I was told the money would be in my account in 30 minutes. As of right now it has been 24 hours and no sign of the money. I called back and was told the money is going to be deposited. Is there any way we can put a stop to their business practices?

My daughter took out a payday loan from Cashnet USA in 2011. She is 34 yrs. old, does not live with me or provide my name or info for ANY reason. Several months ago "Federal Processing" and other collectors have called all threatening "warrants issued for arrest for 2 felony counts of fraud on financial institution, check fraud..." Then, asking me if I would like to help her out and pay the debt. A new one called Global United Arbitration called and did the whole scam, only this time I investigated the caller.

A man named Phil ** had just finished filing his LLC in Amherst, NY on 2/20/2014 and ran into me. I have a digital recordings of the message left on my phone which started the violations ticking off. He called 12 times in less than five hours, most of them one minute apart to harass me. I have screen shots of the caller ID to document number and pattern of calls. He threatened my daughter would be arrested Monday and asked me if I "would like to help her out." Then he started demanding my debit or credit card info.

Mr. ** refused to send anything in writing but I would not pay until I saw it in writing. He sent me an email with a settlement offer. I confronted him by pointing out violations and said I was going to report him. He said he was calling the police to accuse me of assault by threat. I have digital recordings of the 2 calls. I reported him to the BBB and got a response back on my complaint from Northern Resolution Group. Yes, one of the 5 sued by the NY A. G.'s office, claiming they bought the debt a few days before Global United Arbitration started calling. Northland group claims to be current creditor, but so does Global United Arbitration. With different amounts owed. Cashnet USA is behind this pulling the strings. They should all go to prison.

The best piece of legislation, in my opinion, ever written was passed by G.W. Bush in 2004. The Code of Federal Regulations 24:5... statutes regarding domestic neglect/abuse/stalking. It's very broad in scope, especially when it comes to the 'stalking' part. In essence, anyone who causes you stress by threatening, repeating calling from different phone numbers, offering you 'deals' you can't buy your way out of, is guilty of criminal stalking, which carries up to a $250,000.00 bond and 10 years in Federal prison.

What's the difference between a spurned ex-lover threatening you bodily injury and a corporation threatening to foreclose on your bank account? The companies use a 'spoofing' tool (ie., Google Spoof) to mask their caller ID. I routinely use it in my investigating healthcare fraud and domestic violence. Many people won't answer the phone if they see "US Department of Justice" on their caller ID.

Conversely, a company can use it, or a tool like it, to falsely represent themselves. NO representative of the Federal Government will call you directly on behalf of a private company, claiming to support their possible fraudulent/misleading acts or behavior. Anyone can get down on their luck. Half the nation is one paycheck away from missing a car note, electrical bill, etc. These companies prey on those consumers who find themselves backed into a corner.

Best advice? Don't do it. If you're caught in the loop, DOCUMENT every call/message/email etc. What was said, who said it, and when. If possible, record the calls. Recording the calls is legal, so long as one (1) party in the conversation (you) is aware that the call is being recorded. Advise them you are recording the call and that the information will be turned over to the Better Business Bureau and cognizant authorities. Don't expect help from local authorities. Unless they have a clinical psychologist taking your call, they're not equipped to assist you with your stress. They will only advise that it's a 'civil' matter. It's not. Criminal stalking is a serious felony. If you're losing sleep, the calls are affecting your work productivity or family relationships, seek counseling. This will document your stress.

What you can do in the future: Cut your spending back to nothing. Go from premium to basic cable. Shop at discount stores. Hold off on new anything. Call your utility companies and ask about service 'averaging'. Most offer to set your bill at a single monthly rate, based on your previous year's bills. That way, you know exactly how much to budget for every month and won't get hit bay seasonal spikes. Shop for cheaper cell phone service. Monthly plans are far more advantageous than an annual contract you can't get out of without a fee. If you have a land line phone, switch to VOIP. It's only $6.95 per month with unlimited everything. Get all of your bills gradually caught up to zero balance. That way, if you have an unexpected expenditure, you'll have a 30 or even 60 day grace period you can rest on. The bottom line, avoid the scam. If it seems too good to be true, it ALWAYS is. No free lunches...

I can give them $50 every two weeks or I can give them the $300 I borrowed in one large sum but they don't want that. They demand $247 payments now. I can't do it. You can't work with them. They won't accept anything you offer. I have been spoken to like dirt. I have asked them not to call my job but they call anyway. Twice I have had the people call and say they are federal agents and I am under investigation for check fraud. I have a man scream at me on the phone and say he will call my job and I will lose my job if I do not pay. I had a man tell me I was going to be sent to court and I will be served at work in front of everybody!

Today, 1/14/2014 , I had voicemail at work from an unknown caller saying he is a hired federal agent and he is in the process, I guess, of seizing my tax refund, any accounts I have and my personal possessions. He said I will have to pay either three or five times the amount owed. I have committed check fraud which is a federal offense. The message was like 10 minutes long. I need to know where I can go to stop the harassment. They are calling my job and won't stop. I am going to start putting the $50 a payday on a prepaid card and eventually give them $300 but I am not paying anymore than that. Can anyone assist me? I am unable to send the voicemail. I have called multiple times in October, November, December and again on yesterday about this problem. They have repeatedly debited my account for payment in between my pay dates. I sent them a copy of a paystub and they only corrected it once in November, then again in December. I have incurred over 4 overdraft fees since I have had the loan because of this problem with them! Then I have to borrow more money from them to offset the overdraft fees on my checking account. I spoke a someone named Mike yesterday and he refused to give me a letter to give to my bank so that my fees can be refunded. He adjusted the date, but it was after they debited my account. In error again! I want my fees back and for this problem to be rectified. Each time I call I am given excuses as to why it is not fixed. They didn't ask me for pay stubs when they approved the loan but keep insisting on them now in order to correct the due date.

Today they sent me don't forget your payment notice and along with it gave me break down of my payment. 1-2-2014 is $130.00 and of that amount $72.30 go to principal and $57.84 go to fee every two weeks. So I asked how much have I paid so far and they told me I paid $559.94 with a balance of $522.90. They told me I have a line of credit of $287.25 and $50.00 of that I did not take out. So according to them, I only paid $237.25 and $322.69 went to fees and by the time i pay this off, it's going to cost me about $1500.00. How in this United States can our government let these kinds of companies get away with. I guess as long someone is getting a cut its okay. How can CashNetUSA say they're helping anyone. I was told to go to a nearby 7-Eleven, Walgreens, or Radio Shack and purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak card. I was told to put $240 on the card, scratch off the back and give them the number. Finally, they answered my phone call and then told me they are having trouble putting the funds into my account, so they needed $200 more to wire it through Western Union. I bought another Green Dot card and put 200 more on it. I called them with the number. They ignored my calls for two days prior to that. They called me and asked for a final transaction of $220 and my money would finally be sent to me. The money never came. They took my info again and ignored my calls. Finally they called back. He then assured me I would get my loan with one final transaction of $175. He got mad and started saying all kind of things to me to where my husband had to handle him. Good luck and if I don't get my money back too, I'm calling my lawyer and suing y'all for more than what you took. I needed extra cash. I took out an initial loan for $650. The fee just to initiate the loan was very expensive (I think 15%). The interest rate was exorbitant (299%). Because the interest rate was so high, I was only able to pay the minimum amount due, which was mostly interest and very little principal. The payments were about $200/month on a $650 loan. I wound up having to add to my loan as my credit line was increased to make the minimum payment. It took me about 9 months to get straightened out and get the loan paid off. By the time I got everything paid off, I had paid over three times my initial loan amount. I knew this loan was going to be expensive, but in my haste to solve an immediate problem, I compounded my problem until it was much, much worse than to begin with. I would have been much better off to go to a friend or relative to help me over the hump and get them paid off in a couple of months rather than go the route I went.

Cashnet USA still sends me emails when my "statement" is ready. Their emails don't have an unsubscribe feature. But I can tell you that my balance is 0 and will always remain 0. I would get four jobs before I would take out a loan with them again. On final note, I was never swindled like some of the other people on here were. They didn't deposit any money to my account that I didn't ask for, etc. When I called them to ask questions, they were helpful and not rude. The terms and conditions of the loan had been clearly stated on the website. I just didn't realize what I was getting myself into. This was just a case of me making a HUGE financial mistake that I will NEVER repeat. Buyer beware.

Anyhow, not once have they taken any EXTRA money from my checking account. I have always paid them on time thanks to their automatic payment system.

During the time that I have been with them, I have had three credit limit increases. They started me off at $650, then increased it to $700, then $750, and now $850. They are NOT running a scam as so many of you complainers claim. If you don't like or don't understand the concept of paying back with interest plus other fees (no different than other loan companies), THEN DON'T BORROW! If you already gave your routing information, go get a new account number with your bank and have the charges reversed. Also check your account everyday. I had 2 loans issued in 2 months without asking me. You will not be helped and no one will help you out from these companies.

My husband gets a call from his mother saying that if he didn't call this guy to pay off a personal loan he never received that in two hours a sheriff would be at our house to arrest him. So my husband called him and had my husband on the phone for well over 30/40 minutes. I finally realized he should get off the phone because from the responses my husband was giving and due to the duration of the call, it seemed to me this was a scam. I began telling my husband to ask the following questions: Why are you contacting my mother since you claim to have my personal information? Why am I just now hearing about this?

This "attorney" as to what he claimed to be, although he sounded Indian and as though he was calling from a "call center" and not an attorney's firm. He explained that due to my husband obtaining a personal "online" loan, he is only obligated to contact my husband via emails only. I started cracking up. I am a paralegal and know that legally you MUST notify the person via in writing, usually through a certified mail and return receipt. He then proceeded to never bring up too personal of information, which leads me to believe he was baiting my husband for it.

I researched the number the man was calling from and it was based out of Detroit, although he claimed to be an attorney from the "Freedman Law firm", which is located, according to Google, in California. This so-called "attorney" representing the collection of this supposed loan for Cash Net said my husband would be served with a warrant and arrested on the spot. He explained that my husband had until 10:00 this Friday (November 15, 2013) to make a payment of well over $750.00 and that this payment had to be placed onto a go green, something green card you can purchase from CVS and to call him with the card numbers.

Again, being a paralegal and after speaking to my co-worker, an attorney, I was informed that due to The Fair Credit Reporting Act, no one has the right to do what this person did or any so-called attorney or debt collector for that, AND to call and make false claims about being arrested for a "Civil Liability/Litigation" is illegal and WILL NOT HAPPEN. I called the man back shortly after my husband hung up with him. I asked to speak with this supposed attorney and when put on hold, the guy that came to the phone was the same voice of they guy acting like the secretary who answered. I told him to never call my husband again and that he must contact our attorney immediately.

He proceeded to cut me off and replied, "Can I ask you a question?" I replied, "No, the hell you can't, I'm running the show now, either you want my attorney's name and contact information or you don't, and watch what you say because unlike what you MUST say before the call went down with my husband, I'm informing you, that you are being recorded." His whole demeanor changed. He claimed to make typing noises in the background when I was giving my attorney's information. I believe he kept my husband online so long because he was scamming/hacking for personal information, good thing about our phones is we have MetroPCS, which has no personal information out there to be searched, thank God.

Our attorney has yet to hear from these so-called attorneys/debt collectors. It looks to be one huge scam. Only thing is they ran across a paralegal that has too many connects! We are researching how to in fact find this call center and these group of people to sue for harassment and etc.

I'm just that way and I would rather too pay my bills than have someone accessing my account routing and account number unnecessarily.

Here's the funny part: After I made the payment. No other fees could be collected. And I wanted to request a later loan for a day of fun at our State Fair, but refuse to pay the loan back in broken payments like they wanted. 1- I never got a loan with them. I think I applied once, but was denied due to my income.
2 - How is it that in the last, almost 3 years since they claim I took this loan, that this is the first I'm hearing of it??? The "mediator" I spoke with today knew my address, the last 4 of my social security number and a very old email address I haven't used in years. Why has it taken so long to notify me of this with all the info they apparently have for me?!?

3 - How the hell did they get my current, no contract cell phone number? I've only had this number for a few months, and have not used it on any online applications. So how did they get my number?? ?

I contacted my local sheriff's office today regarding the validity of this "mediator's" threats and accusations, but was unable to reach anyone in that particular department. A message was left, and so far, no call back. If the sheriff does indeed have papers for me, I know exactly what happened, but no idea how, and will have a detective look into it, as someone I was close to at this time, was recently charged with felony identity theft with two charges for taking out online loans, one of which was with Cashnet. I'm not at all happy that this company has my personal information as I personally have never received any kind of loan from them. If one was obtained fraudulently in my name, HOW did they verify the identity of the requester? And finally, WHY haven't I been notified about this until now?!? It's been 2 1/2 years!!! I haven't moved!

Did this, 30 min. later, they called and said I needed to give another $150.00 to "boost" my credit score. I stupidly complied. However, I was in tears and all they would say is that this is a business line and to please stop crying. I called them and said that this was a scam and I wanted my money back now!!! I was told they'd refund my money but it would take 21 days because that was their procedure!!! I'm so scared, they have all my information. I'm monitoring my accounts but I'm still scared! On 09/05/13 I received four emails from Cashnet USA. The first, at 9:41AM, was to advise me that they were chosen by my "financial matching service as (my) online lender!" and provided me with a link to sign the agreement within 24 hours. The second, at 9:48AM, advised me they had received my signed agreement, that my "application was being processed" and I would be notified within 24 hours if I was approved. The third, also at 9:48AM, gave me my account information. At 11:28AM, the fourth one came in and gave me the great news that $255.00 had been deposited directly to my bank, that $300.00 would be withdrawn from my bank by them on 10/01/13, and included a copy of the contract I had signed electronically at 11:48, a mere twenty minutes AFTER they sent me the email.

I had never heard of Cashnet USA prior to the first email. Three weeks earlier, I had looked into an online payday loan. I did supply some information to some other website entirely but just to see what the terms would be and if it would be cheaper or easier than doing one in a store-front lender. I did NOT apply for a loan from that company, just wanted to see if I would be approved and what the cost would be before deciding whether to do it or not. On 09/03/13 (two days before I first heard of/from Cashnet USA), I arranged a direct deposit loan with my bank. At that point, I had no need to do one online. Then comes the loan from Cashnet USA, which my bank's computer system took to be a direct deposit, and used it to cover a portion of the loan I had with them.

I've called Cashnet USA and advised them: 1) I never applied for a loan from them; 2) I never accepted their offer to loan me any money; 3) I never electronically signed a contract with them, and my Internet browsing history can confirm I wasn't online at all on the morning of 09/05/13; AND 4) This is the real kicker, on the "contract" they sent me, in the "Signature Block", it gave the time at which I signed the "contract" (remember - I "signed" it twenty minutes after they sent me the email telling me they forwarded me the money), and the IP address from which I had connected. It wasn't my IP address. It was an IP address in Long Beach, CA, and I live much farther north in California. The IP address they cited to me is on Verizon's internet service; I don't have Verizon internet.

I am supplying printed copies of the emails and the IP tracings I've done to the Police because Cashnet USA wants to "investigate" what they say is "ID theft". If it was truly ID theft, the loan I allegedly signed for would be in a bank account in Nigeria or the Ukraine or the Cayman Islands - it would have not been sent to my account. I'm submitting my evidence to support an allegation of fraud by Cashnet USA, submitting to the local police and the Consumer Affairs Department of the State of California. Possibly to the Attorney General.

The bunch of us might be desperate and stupid enough to pay companies like these over 400% APR, but Cashnet USA creates that debt for you when you don't even want it. And no matter what they say, they can't take you to Court without having you served with a subpoena, and the Feds won't pick you up without and indictment...not just the say-so of scam artist like Cashnet USA.

I applied for and was approved for a simple $250.00 loan. I get paid semi-monthly and stated that when I applied... which they approved and when my loan was due they would try and take the money out of my account early. I would have to submit a form and request my payment dates to be changed and every time they would approve it, they would still take the money out early. So after a few overdraft fees from them, I went into the bank and found out that they had sold my information to other companies and was being charged $7.00 here, $20.00 there and that resulted in more overdraft fees.

The bank suggested to close my account since they had taken over $100.00 extra... So I did and when I tried to contact them to figure out how to pay it off and leave it at that, they wouldn't let me. Supposedly I had to submit written requests and bank information stating that I changed account numbers and had to wait 7 to 10 business days! Well guess what? My payment was due and of course it didn't go through, and they tried to get me for fraud. So years later, I get calls from different people saying they're federal agents and I'm going to jail for fraud and I am unreachable and will be served with papers.

I haven't moved or switched jobs and they read the correct address... I'm like, "Serve me then. I have no problem paying them... but not some random company." I want paperwork to show who and what I owe. Their info always changes and I'm not stupid... Needless to say, I still haven't been served or mailed anything.

I actually had all travel paid for and hotels, etc. But I thought, "Wouldn't it be great to have some extra money to be able to do some fun stuff like visit the beach and hit a theme park or two?" Well, this is where the mess began.

I decided to get a $700 loan from CashnetUSA. It was pretty simple; I filled out the form and they said I could get up to $700. So I chose that. I thought the contract said that the amount would be billed to me in the amount of $120 every two weeks for 6 weeks, NOT. The fine print is they will bill you a fee of $120 in order to "extend" your loan for 6 weeks. On the 7th round, they bill the full $700 plus 320% interest. So I wound up paying these people $2420 for my $700 loan. They are very misleading. Be very careful if you are really thinking of using this place to get a loan. First I had to obtain a Money Pak in the amount of $495 to establish that I had 10% of the loan ($5,000). The second day I had to purchase another Money Pak in the amount of $470 to show that I would have the first month's payment. All the while I am being assured that all of this money would be returned to me with the loan amount when funded. Then on the third day, I was informed that because my credit was so bad (something they knew on the 1st day) that it would cost me $438 to "repair" my credit score. And this had to be purchased on a NetSpend card, and that this amount would NOT be returned to me.

At this point, I was informed that my credit score was repaired to 692 and that I would be receiving documentation to this effect, and that the loan would be funded. After waiting two days, I was informed that their bank fees would have to be paid in order to fund the loan, which would be another $295, purchased on another Money Pak. I was informed that the loan would be funded right away. After another day and several calls, I was informed that there had been technical difficulties with 'Green Dot' and that the bank fees were still pending. In order to retrieve the $295, which would be refunded with the $495 and the $470, I would have to purchase another Money Pak for $295 in order for the loan to be funded, as well as the return fees.

When I declined to do so and requested that all my purchases of Money Pak and NetSpend cards be returned, and that the loan be cancelled, I was then informed that there would be a cancellation fee of $275, and that I still might not get all of my fees returned. So therefore, I might as well spend the additional $295 and have the loan funded. This I have NOT done. The three representatives that I dealt with all had heavy accents and were utilizing the American names of Shawn **, Eric **, and Jack ** respectively.

Then two hours later they called to pay one of my creditor, and I said cancel the whole application. Then they receive more money just to cancel the application and more money to wire money through their bank. After this much nonsense going, I started to realize I was getting scammed. Now, on top of everything, they call me at my house and insult me with foul language, and they still call me to this day. I end up paying them $2870.00; they owe me now $2870. I had applied almost 6 1/2 years ago and somehow they got a hold of my information and emptied my entire SS check from my account (checking). I closed out the account. The bank couldn't even trace where these people were doing this from. All it showed was an 800 number. When they called the 800 number, nobody would answer. Since then, I have been told by numerous agencies, collection companies and state officials, yes they even went that far, that I have committed bank fraud, will be getting a warrant and will be picked up within the day.

Hey, they even went so far as to call my ex-husband and his 80-year old mom in Florida. We have been divorced for over 20 years! I am putting in another complaint with the Attorney General of my state, PA, and now the BBB, Consumer Affairs and whoever else I can think of. There needs to be a class action suit against these people simply from the harassment and theft of funds. Down through the past 3-4 years, I have told these idiots to send me something in writing, to go ahead and send the police, send me a warrant because when I finally find out who each of these more than 15 individuals are, they will be going to federal prison for theft and harassment.

They became belligerent when I stated I do not have this bank account, never received a payday loan and did not reside at that address. They stated that I had involved myself in fraudulent activity and they were sending the police to my location to arrest me. After that I could only laugh. I told them to please send the police to my job so that I could file a complaint because they're accusing me of something that I obviously have nothing to do with.

They couldn't provide me with a correct email, work name, address, bank account info or anything. I had a message on my phone that I was being investigated for malicious intent of bank fraud and soliciting money across state lines. A woman reported herself to be Alexa **, Arbitration Dept. for State Fraud, Washington DC. The number left to return a call to is **. When I returned the call, she asked me when I received the message. I told her maybe yesterday, I wasn't sure. She said she holds cases only 24-48 hours before it goes to the judges who rule on the cases. She asked me if I'd ever taken out a loan with Cashnet USA. I said yes, for $200 in 2009. She claimed that I had taken out a $600 loan 1.5 years ago and when Cashnet USA had tried to collect from my bank account, she told me I had had NSF and that I had been sent many e-mails and letters trying to get me to pay. And since I had not, it was now in the hands of an attorney who is ready to submit the case to the judge. She said that I was being charged with the felonies malicious intent of bank fraud and soliciting money across state lines. Those charges were because Cashnet USA who I supposedly took the loan out with is according to her located in Washington, DC.

She stated that she was an arbitrator for Academy Bank and Cashnet USA and that she had to make this contact with me so she could submit a recommendation to the attorneys in this case. The case may be on the judge’s docket as we speak and that once he makes the ruling on this case, he will issue a warrant and I will be brought into jail 45 minutes to an hour after case is decided. She said that I would or my family would have to post bail in order for me to not have to stay in jail and that bail would be $3,500. She said I would have to stay in jail if no bail could be posted and I would have the charges brought upon me and in this case, there is little doubt with all of the evidence they will submit electronic signatures, recorded calls, etc. There's little doubt that I would be charged with these felonies. She told me as she had looked at my records, she had found no arrests for anything like this and that she thought it unfortunate that it was being taken to this level since it was probably some oversight of mine or some other fairly innocent reason on my part.

She said now all she could do is take a statement from me about why I had not paid and she would then make her contact with the attorney on this to see if they will make me any other offer but that from her past experiences in these cases (of which she handles cases for 20 states), if any offer is made in these procedures, I would have to most likely need to provide them with about half of the $3,500 I owed. And that now that I have shown that I did not pay the loan, no hardships will be given payments except in whole. A debit, credit or cashier's check would not be accepted. It would have to be money sent by one of those wiring services such as a MoneyGram, Western Union, JPay and they would require it to be there today by 4pm or they would close arbitration and submit to courts by 5pm today.

Once the money is received, it would be considered an out of court settlement. No charges would go on my record. I told her that I was pretty sure I did not and could not have ever taken out a $600 loan, because I am on disability and I would never have enough money to have a loan of that much. She got loud and mean and said she was not going to play that game with me and said she was not stupid. She said that I know I owe that money and now I'm trying to act like I don't owe what evidence shows that I do and she no longer was going to make a call to attorney on my behalf. Now, I was being brought up on charges of malicious intent of bank fraud because I had defrauded Academy Bank and the Federal Reserve for more than 6 months. I was told that was so because Academy Bank who owns Cashnet USA had put up a bank collateral on the Cashnet USA loan. Now Academy Bank filed a report of fraud with the Federal Reserve and that I owed an amount of $3,500 plus legal fees, plus the charges would be put on my record and I would be a felon.

Social Security would be notified and I would never be able to receive disability SS again, and with this type of felony, there is no way to dispute it with Social Security and win. I would be prosecuted for 3 times the amount owed plus 260.10% interest, plus legal fees. I was sure to have these charges put on me with all evidence against me. She seemed calmer and called me honey saying she knew this must be hard for me and said she would go ahead and make a call to the attorney to see if she could get any sort of deal on this. She said she was going to do it right then and for me to stay on the line. When she came back on, she told me that attorneys were willing to accept $1100 to keep this out of court and to not report to Social Security and to drop charges.

She said the $1100 had to be there by 4 which is ending of business today or else it would be submitted to the court by 5 pm. She said that I needed to call her back within 1 hour if I was able to find a relative that could help me with the paying of this debt I owed, and if I did not call her back within 45 minutes now, a federal agent would be dispersed to pick me up and take me into custody in 45 minutes. I looked up some stuff on internet after this call and found several scams exactly like this. I am reporting this to FTC, my bank and to wherever else is a good place to.

I have taken out payday loans before. I always paid them all back, and I understood the charges involved. CashNet totally lied to me about how they charge interest and fees. I took out a $500.00 cash loan in September of this year. So far I have paid them over $700.00 and I still owe them $426.00. At the rate they charge interest, if you paid their minimum payment, you would end up paying thousands and thousands of dollars back to the company. Most payday loans charge a said amount, example, you borrow $100.00, they add $25.00 to it and you owe $125.00. They do not add interest on a daily basis and that is what CashNet does.

My original loan was $500.00; they added a $150.00 fee (which they did not explain to me). So from day one, I was paying over $5.00 a day in interest. My first payment was $126.00 which didn't even cover the interest. I paid $223.00 the next month and got $23.00 off the principal. My next payment was $150.00, so I paid $200.00 thinking I'd get more off the principal but no, again I only got about $20.00 off the principal. I just made my fourth payment of $150.00 and my balance is $426.00. So, I have given them over $700.00, I got $500.00 and I still owe them $426.00. How can they get away with this? I want to write to them and say, “You’re paid. You will not get another dime from me,” but I do not want my credit ruined. I don't know what to do.

Sometime in 2010, my boyfriend and I attempted (and failed) to get a payday loan from physical location, not online (I forgot the name of the specific business). For the past couple of weeks, I've been getting phones and voicemails from a very unofficial sounding Indian man (always the same person) saying that a lawsuit had been filed against my name and social security number, and it was in my best interest to call back immediately. Finally, tired of the calls, I answered. He said I had taken out an online payday loan for $300 in March of 2010 and failed to pay it back. They had "filed a lawsuit" against my name and social security number with the courthouse, and it was a very serious issue for my credit.

All I owed was $300 (apparently there was no interest) and if I paid that day, I could resolve the issue for only $200. I said no, that I was uncomfortable paying something without any written information. He threatened me and said if I didn't pay that day, each additional day it took for me to pay it back would be well over $100, and from Friday to Monday, the amount would go from $300 to $750. I said have a nice day and kindly email me the information on what I owe. I went back through my bank history and there was never a deposit from a payday loan (as I already knew, but just to confirm). I never received an email with any information, rather emails from CashNet USA saying that I only needed to complete one more step before accepting a pre-approved payday loan.

This is a scam. They had my full social security number, banking institution and account number, birthday and the address I had when I applied for the original loan. The only thing that could've happened was the company I applied with sold my information to this scam company or they themselves are trying to scam people illegally (duh, illegal scam). But seriously, this is a problem. I'm sure many victims don't do their research and just pay these people, only thinking about their credit. It is a scam. Don't do it! Who wants to get together a class action lawsuit? Any takers?

Yesterday, I was out of the office so my assistant answered my phone. A man identified himself as Officer Kevin ** of the Federal Crime Investigation Bureau and told her I must call back immediately since there was a serious legal matter pending against me. Not knowing if something had happened with one of my teenage sons, she called me out of an important meeting and I called back right away, only to find out that they were saying I had passed fraudulent electronic checks when I defaulted on a payday loan I had taken through the internet. I have a few outstanding payday loans all of which are current and on electronic payment schedules. I have not defaulted on any loan. When I asked for further information, I was referred to a supervisor, Dan ** who had a list a loans I had supposedly taken.

All of the information was accurate - except for the fact that I had paid off - or was nearly finished paying the existing loans - and nothing was in default. He convinced me that "CashNet" was the parent company of all payday loan companies and that he could help negotiate a settlement lower than what I would be paying if I continued to pay according to the existing agreements. He told me that CashNet was in financial trouble and that he was authorized to make a settlement offer once I provided all the information about existing balances. I spent several hours gathering all my information, back to loans I had since 2010 with all the payoff amounts, etc. He called twice while I was gathering the info to find out how I was doing and how soon I would have the information. After giving him the information, he told me he would call me back with a settlement amount. Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, while I was waiting for a call back, I googled CashNet and came across this information.

When he called me back, he offered me a settlement about $200 less than what I currently owe as principal. He told me he had spoken with his lawyer and the company and because all of my payments were set up on electronic withdrawal - these withdrawals would continue to be taken from my account for about a month - but that I would be reimbursed in about a month. I asked for the agreement in writing - at which point he transferred me to his "legal department". Mr. Frank ** pretended not to know why I was transferred - but when I said I wanted the agreement in writing so I could show it to my lawyer before authorizing any deductions from my account - he started to get loud, telling me they had made me a generous offer and I should accept it and I didn't need anything in writing. They would provide me with an email confirmation once I accepted the offer and paid the settlement amount.

I explained that I was not in default - had done nothing wrong - and that my lawyer had advised me to get a written copy of the actual charges before I proceeded. He continued to yell at me that I was making a mistake and eventually hung up on me because I continued to say I wanted something in writing. Stay tuned. Judging from everything everyone else has written - unfortunately, I doubt this is over. I hope so but we'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Besides, I think it is a law now that collection agencies have to state a disclaimer at the beginning of each call about this is an attempt to collect a debt, etc. and usually don’t give any info to just anyone. So, I spoke to "Investigator King" and he told me that this was a felony stemming back to a Payday loan from CashNet in 2007. He had the name of our bank wrong. They did say that if we paid today, by debt or cash card, that it would be $360 and if we waited to pay the court after the warrant was issued, it would be $730.

Well, I called the county prosecutor first, nothing. Then, I called the sheriff’s warrants department, nothing. The lady was very nice, telling me it was probably a scam. My husband is retired Army and an RN so we were scared. I called Mr. ** back and told him I spoke to these people and they had nothing in their system, he said okay then, have a great day no need to call back.

Well, after reading different scam pages, I called him again. This time I told him I was on my way to town, and would be driving right by their office in Jacksonville. Could I get the address and drop off the "cash". Oh, all their calls are routed out of GA. They have offices all over the US. I kind of figured that. I again asked for the address to send a money order. Oh, that will be too late. Okay, so I will go tomorrow and pay at the county office. Oh, I see you don’t want to do it our way, and pay us a lower amount. Nope, I would feel better paying more and going to the authorities. He mumbled something and hung up. I have received several other calls from this person who now leaves a message as Andy Brown. I called my bank and asked if there was a deposit of $300.00 on December 11, 2011 from this company. He said he couldn't tell me, and that my lawyer needed to call immediately, and that I was in serious trouble by tomorrow, if I didn't call back. I hung up on the guy, and he called me back approximately 20 or 30 times, and I finally answered and told him I was at work, and not to harass me. He called back again, and told me my social security number and bank acct number. That was scary. I told him that no one would call him back, and this was fraud, and he said I would be in trouble tomorrow and hung up.

Last week this guy called me at work and asked if anybody has discussed my case with me. I asked what case he was referring to as I wasn't aware I had a case. He started talking but I said I'm at work so he has to call me after one on my cell.

After I got home, I received a phone call from a legal assistant of so-called Saunders and Walkers law office claiming that I had taken out various loans and given false account information so the payments were rejected and that I never paid them back. This guy had an Indian accent and he said I was going to be subpoenaed to court and picked up the following day by the police and arrested on federal fraud charges. He was saying I took out loans in October. Initially, I got scared thinking someone had been using my information to take out loans.

This guy had my address, bank account number, employer, last four digits of my social security number, etc. He said I owed over $5000.00 and if I didn't settle it today they were going to submit the case and the police were going to show up at my work. The caller, Mike **, with very Indian sounding accent, became very intimidating and threatening me when I tried to get more information. He eventually hung up on me because I kept asking more questions. I called back and tried to get a supervisor's name but he hung up again.

I called my lawyer right away and he told me how it was a scam and that I should call back and try to get a mailing address. So I did so, and he put the phone down and finally gave me an address. Upon further investigation I found out the law firm does exist so I called the real law firm and they knew immediately what I was talking about. It is a scam. These people use their law firm as a front.

He told me to call the authorities and the fraud department of my bank. Once I knew it was a scam, I started calling the guy back and fooling with him. Since I knew the address he gave me was fake, I said how much do I owe you because I'm going to send you a check for the amount to the address. He got so mad and told me that their office is not a collection agency, so what was I thinking.

Then I snapped and told the caller that I had called Saunders and Walker law firm and they have never heard of a Mike **, Stacey ** or my so called case. I know this is a scam and if he won't leave me alone, there will be problems. He said if I think this is a joke, we'll see who's laughing when the US Marshals pick me up at work tomorrow morning.

So the next day, I headed off to work and he actually called asking to talk to my manager. He told my coworkers all the details of how I owed money and that I would be arrested. My coworker got all freaked out and told my manager, who, right away, told me that I shouldn't give any information? She Googled the number and saw that it was a scam.

Ive called the number back a few times just to screw with the guy pretending to be looking for the real Joseph Saunders. Oh hes on lunch I said okay please just transfer me to his voicemail. The guy like put the phone down for a minute and picked it back up and was like Im having trouble reaching his extension.. what a joke. Scary though he had ALL that information about me!

They also said that if I did not call them back, I would need to get a lawyer and they will have the court papers delivered to my job. So, I called them back just to see what was going on. The person that picked up didn't say a name or anything (Just Hello).

I told them I was returning a phone call and they said I borrowed $350.00 in October 2011, which of course wasn't true. So I told them that I must be a victim of identity theft or something. The man on the phone told me that he will waive all the fees and asked to just pay $350.00 (with the fees its was $556.00). I told him, "No, I am not going to pay you anything", and asked for him to name the company, again he ignored what I asked.

My husband called back and asked what company this is and they hung up. He called the 2nd time and they mumbled Cashnet Legal Services and hung up. I then called back and no one answered. So I called again and the voice mail box was full. Oh, and they couldn't tell me the date or any type of details about the false account. This is scam!

I have submitted complaints against these fraudulent companies to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and to the bank which issued a court statement against them:

MCI WorldCom Communications Inc. is the phone number where the harassing men with Indian accents are calling from. Other fraudulent companies are OneClickCash, CashNetUSA, and PurposeCashAdvance. They all have MCI as a 3rd part affiliate calling to collect on fully paid loans. They operate out of bogus locations with many different "business" names. If you check your State's Department of Financial Institution, you will find that they are not licensed. Some claim that they are; some were at one point and were dissolved due to business integrity issues.

One day, after they deposited a payday loan into my checking, I began to receive harassing calls at my work and cell phone. I have told them that they have a wrong phone number and that the person they are calling for does not exist. I have also blocked them through my cell phone company. I am in the process of changing all my information as these scam artists have used it and sold it to 3rd party affiliates who are harassing me and withdrawing unauthorized funds from my bank account.

They said with all the information( which was everything), that I was approved. Yet by the end of the day, they said I was not approved. That was last week. At some point, they wanted me to make a copy of my social security card and send it to them. And I told them that I would not. Then I got a call from them, and they said the loan would go through as planned.

But at 5 pm, I received an email saying it was not so. I then got on a "chat" and recorded everything they said. I created a folder of emails they had sent and printed out all the evidence, and I took it to my bank. At the current time, they took out of the account I gave them (which was not my primary account, but my business account), and they had put a $30 charge on it. Chase Bank now has that account at a borrowing rate of $1,000,000.03; so nobody can draw off it. After everything clears up in the next day or two, I will close the business account and open a new one as business checks come in.

I am here to tell you that they are a scam. Lucky for me, my ex-husband ruined my credit; otherwise, they would also be trying to get credit cards in my name. Also, my phone rang off the hook the next day--they do sell your information! I am sure they will be put out of business shortly. They said they have an A+ credit rating with the BBB, but that is also a bit corrupt as anyone with the funds can buy that credit score, or you can just place their logo with your score on an advertisement. Please do not get taken by these people, especially those of you with good credit, as you could have a mess to deal with.
