    Our loan agent Sean ** was very respectful and speedy on his work. Just seemed a little long and drawn out and had to be mailed paperwork and send it back a few times. Just seemed a little odd and drawn out in the same age of technology and computers when we could do the edoc sign on a lot of it but then we had to have actual paper copies or whatever signed when we bought our car and every part of the paperwork was done online except for the very final signature when the car was dropped off to us so just seemed a little drawn out and took longer than I feel like should have but other than that it was a good experience and Sean was a very good agent.

    I contacted Autopay after receiving a letter in mail. I was connected with Deliah ** - who was very friendly from the beginning. Ms ** was very knowledgeable abs stay connected with me on every step needed to be taken. Even when I had to resign some of the papers she worked it to where it could be accomplished with their notary via long stenography - with a woman name Haley - who was also fantastic.     The reps were nice. A lot of things had to be done through the mail and online, and a couple of those things got tricky because they're out of state. The person that I was dealing with was in Colorado. A couple of times, things weren't going through. But other than that, they were helpful. It was a decent experience and we got it done. The loan lowered our payment by a little over $100 a month. The interest rate's lower. Autopay did the process then Affinity ended up with the loan. They left $1,000 owing to them, so I'm gonna have to see about that.

    I submitted an application through the Credit Karma platform, and they paired me up with AUTOPAY. I'm set up with the new provider and all good to go. It was fast and easy and they handled most of it. I got pinged when they needed a signature or more information. And they were very explanatory about what they were asking for, which made me more comfortable providing what they were asking for in that moment and to continue the timely manner of the process.

    I had two reps who I was in contact with throughout, and both of them were very nice. The rate and terms wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but it also didn't surprise me because of the way the market is now. But it still lowered my monthly payment and give me a lower interest rate, which was the intention.     I was trying to get my truck out of my uncle's name. So, I had a refinance with AUTOPAY and everything went pretty smoothly. There were a couple of things that I didn't like with the experience and that was all the leg work I had to do to get everything finalized. I had to go drive 40 miles to my uncle's house, get his signature, then both of us had to go get the stuff notarized, had to pay for that, then I had to send it off. Other than that, the experience was decent. But they sold me gap insurance and an extended warranty when I didn't need it because I paid the car down to 19 grand before they refinanced it.

    At 10:03 am on 11/18/22 I submitted an application for a car loan in order to purchase the vehicle I'm currently leasing. On 11/18/22, at 11:20 am, I received an email from Autopay that read, in part: "Lenders typically take between 30 minutes and 2 hours to provide their responses." On 11/18/22 at 11:23 am, I received a "Real-Time Credit Inquiry Alert" from Experian Identity Works.

    In the FAQ section on Autopay's website, under the question "Will pre-qualifying affect my credit", the response states: "During the application, we do a soft pull on your credit that will not negatively affect your credit score. Only when you choose an offer to submit for lender approval, does AUTOPAY run a hard pull against your credit which may affect your credit score." On 11/18/22, at 12:54 pm, I received the following text message: We have you approved for your auto Purchase! Please give me a quick call. Dane ** **". I attempted to call Mr. **, it went straight to voicemail. On 11/18/22, at 1:01 pm, I received the following: "Please contact your Loan Specialist to review and select your new loan terms: Dane **".

    On 11/18/22, at 5:36 pm, I received this text: "This is Dane with Autopay. I have your approval for the Lease buyout - car purchase!" I heard nothing from Dane ** the rest of Friday, 11/18/22. The night of 11/18/22, I learned that my debit card information had been compromised and used to purchase nearly $2200 of goods without my knowledge or authorization. Coincidence? Irony? At a minimum, it most definitely causes suspicion that this was related to filling out an application with Autopay! On Monday, 11/21/22, I heard nothing from Dane **. On Tuesday, 11/22/22 at 4:21 pm, I called Dane. No answer, I left a message. I called the number on Autopay's website and a woman asked me to hold while she got Dane on the line. I was hung up on.

    At 4:25 pm, I called back, and I received the sound of a fax machine. I hung up, called back, and spoke with a man. He said he would ask Dane to call me. At 4:30 pm, Dane called. He asked the make and model of my vehicle and the payoff amount. I told him I had uploaded the payoff letter, as well as every other piece of documentation requested on 11/18/22. He confirmed he had it. He asked me for the odometer reading and features on my vehicle. He said he would get with his manager and give me a call back that afternoon or Weds, 11/23/22, regarding a loan. I told him I have excellent credit and I am looking for a competitive interest rate. I made it clear I did not want several companies running my credit and bringing down my credit score, therefore I needed the terms of the loan SOON. I did not hear from Dane ** the remainder of 11/22 or 11/23.

    On Friday, 11/25/22, at 12:46 pm, I called Dane and it went to voicemail. I left a message. I then called Autopay's main number. The same woman I talked to on Tues said she would give a message to Dane. I did not hear anything from Dane on 11/25/2022. On Saturday, 11/26/22, at 11:27 am, I called Dane. The call went to voicemail. I left a message telling Dane to either call me back or transfer my application to someone who would communicate with me about the loan status. On Saturday, 11/26/22, at 11:29 am, I called Autopay's main number to confirm if Dane was at work. The woman who answered said yes. I heard nothing from Dane on Saturday, 11/26/22.

    On Monday, 11/28/2022, at 10:47 am, I received the following texts from Dane: "I have been waiting for my lender. The updated approval is pending issuance from my lender. Once it is I will be in touch". I found this odd, as I had received emails and texts stating "I have your approval for the lease buyout" and "please contact your loan specialist to review and select your new loan terms."

    On 11/28/2022 at 1:55 pm, Mr. ** called to tell me he needed a picture of my odometer reading and a new payoff letter because the one I uploaded on 11/18 expired yesterday. He said, "luckily the banks we use will let you finance for up to 96 months, so we can get your payment really low". I told him again I want a competitive interest rate and I am interested in a shorter term loan with a low interest rate. I told him we could get a loan from our local bank with a 5 - 5.5% interest rate, but I first filled out an application at Autopay because they advertise interest rates as low as 2.9% for those with good credit. He then told me that I should pursue getting a loan through my local bank because he would not be able to meet or beat the 5 - 5.5% interest rate. Absolutely unbelievable. I wasted ten days with this scam of a company who completed a credit inquiry - despite stating they do not until you choose a loan.

    Why are Dane ** and the management team at Autopay deceiving potential clients? Why does Autopay's website falsely state that only a "soft" credit check will be run when that is a lie? Why is Dane ** allowed to tell me that I have been approved and can select my loan terms when that is a lie? I have a very long, excellent credit history. I have had numerous car loans throughout my life. I have financed cars through banks, dealerships, and third-party institutions. I have NEVER, EVER experienced such unprofessional, deceptive practices or people. To say I am disappointed does not begin to express my feelings about Autopay. I do not know how Autopay has managed to gain such positive reviews. I can only guess they are willing to finance cars for those with poor credit who have no luck obtaining financing anywhere else.

    Autopay advertises the fact that they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. PLEASE understand - there is a difference between being rated by the BBB and having BBB Accreditation. Autopay is NOT BBB accredited. To be accredited by BBB, a business must apply for accreditation and BBB must determine that the business meets BBB accreditation standards. These standards include, but are not limited to:

    Advertise Honestly
    Tell the Truth
    Be Transparent
    Be Responsive
    Safeguard Privacy

    Embody Integrity

    Clearly, Autopay is not accredited because they do not meet the standards of the BBB. Anyone reading this who has good credit should absolutely never consider filling out an application with Autopay.

    Unfortunately, because the person I was working with said she was new and that was her first time dealing with the process, there was some miscommunication and misunderstanding that delayed the process with AUTOPAY, which was highly frustrating. The knowledge of the process and documentation that's needed in order to complete the process could have been handled better. So, they could do additional training for the employees so that they have a better understanding of what's needed in order to streamline that process.     At first was leery of even working with AUTOPAY since I found it on an Instagram ad and other places were unable to help me. But it all worked out. There was another company that is similar to AUTOPAY. They advertise the same thing as what AUTOPAY advertises. And they told me that my loan was still too new, my credit score wasn't high enough and that they wouldn't be able to help me. That is what I expressed to my representative from AUTOPAY, that I didn't want to go through the process just to be told, "Oh, yeah, we can't help you" at the end. And he assured me that that wouldn't happen, and that he already had me preapproved.

    The process was a little slow compared to if I were to go to traditionally refinance at a credit union or bank, where everything is usually done in a day. It was a little over a week, because they had to mail paperwork to sign. They couldn't do it electronically, especially the DMV stuff. The only thing that I didn't like that they could improve on is the communication as far as the payment being sent to the old lender and the timeframes.

    Since AUTOPAY is a third party, I tried calling the credit union who took over my new loan, and they had misinformation as far as the process, because their customer service people weren't used to dealing with it when it's through a third party. Because they said the way they typically do it is the check is mailed to the customer, and the customer sends it to the old lender to pay off the loan. But to my understanding, since it was through AUTOPAY, it was sent directly to my old lender, and it takes a couple of weeks to process. Other than that, everything was good. Aaron, the guy who helped me, kept in communication. We would text a couple of times with questions, and he answered. Because it's easier for me to text because of work.

    The instructions were very easy and not confusing at all when I signed up online with Autopay. Our rep was there with every question that we had and she was very exceptional.     Working with the team at Autopay wasn't very efficient. I was asked for certain things and then the next day or so, they asked me for my driver's license. Another day went by and they asked me for something else. It wasn't cohesive enough. They never explained certain things to me about the company that was going to have the loans. In the end, it all worked out but there were a lot of loose ends along the way.

    I applied online and authorized them to do a hard inquire for an auto loan and then got an email from a loan specialist named Heather ** asking me to submit more documents (payroll, driver’s license and other sensitive docs) via email to complete my application. I asked her If I can get to know an estimate of the rates via email and she said she will be able to after sending her the documents requested. I sent her the documents requested and It has been 4 days and I did not get any response. I called AutoPay and they promised she will call me back and nothing happened, I emailed, called and texted her number without a response. I will be filing a complaint against them for privacy breach. I doubt that they are a legit financial lender. They are a SCAM and FRAUD more than anything else.
