Was very helpfully experiences, I had problems with another company and all of my questions were answered satisfactorily and my expectations about solutions of my problems were covered. This is the best experience I’ve had in a long time!!! Not only are you helping me with my debt but you’ve decreased my monthly credit card payments just about in half!!!! Everyone has been so helpful and supportive, it’s truly amazing. Everything was explained extremely well and whatever questions I had were answered while still on the phone!!! I finally feel that there is a way out of the debt that I have incurred due to a financial hardship. A way out has been explained to me and shown to me on paper. I feel that this goal is very obtainable and it allows me to breathe easier knowing that soon I will be debt-free.

I thought I was applying for a loan at first. But it ended up being a better path to financial freedom. Advisor was very informative and friendly. They explained every detail of the program step by step. Answered all my questions that I had. They even let my wife ask a couple of questions that she had while listening.

This is the biggest financial mistake I have made in my entire life. In the beginning, it came to my attention as a debt consolidation loan and turned into this. I was told it would slightly affect my credit but in fact, it has destroyed it. I have had multiple accounts discontinue my credit lines and decrease my credit limits for the ones that haven't discontinued business with me. I had zero late payments before getting involved and I have 100% regret. I have been in this program for seven months and they negotiated 1 out of 4 and it was a small one. The continuous phone calls and emails from the creditors is heartbreaking and makes me feel like I just walked away from my obligations to them. Do your research and read in between the lines before making the choice. Like I said at the start of this; major mistake.

Received a Pre-Approval letter regarding a loan, but when I called I wasn't given a loan. I wasn't advised why I didn't receive the loan, just transferred to another person to set up debt consolidation. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone because you are contacted under false pretense. The loan would have paid off the accounts that I have to now, allow to go past due and screw up my credit, just so this company can swoop in and save the day. At the end of the day, it's a scam, so they can say that they are helping you, but they are truly not.

Okay presentation could have been a little more explained on some things and some things were not clear in the first letter. I first received such as this is not just a loan but a debt clearance. Yes I need to clear some of my debts but I don't want to have to close all my accounts at one place only to have to reopen it later. I work a lot, all kind of hours so I don't have much time to move things that often. That's part of the reason I'm in this mess.

Very good customer service! Seems to care compared to other similar companies I’ve dealt with. Promised to pay off loans quicker and more efficiently than other companies I’ve dealt with. I am pleased so far. The representative I spoke to over the phone was kind and courteous and was very helpful in insuring me that everything will be handled the right way. When I signed up with Co, I wanted only the Citi account to be addressed. When I looked at portal Best Egg account was also included, person I talked to did not take care of problem. I also asked how much of reduction of monthly draw would be, was advised that I would know before the 26th, this did not happen. Until I asked to terminate my contract with your company.

Updated on 07/16/2025: I came to this company and started paying them around December 2024. Now I am on the about 7th payment. This company promises to contact your creditors and attempt to negotiate a lesser amount maybe 50%. The company makes no promise that they will actually do anything. Out of the monthly amount paid to them, they deduct a processing fee and also fee for the law firm contractor. At the beginning of this process, I had a lot of debt BUT all my monthly payments were on time. Now after seven months all my payments are behind, cards cannot be used, and the finance charges of course have increased. The company does not provide any written verification that they actually contacted the creditors. Not a happy camper. Have I accomplished anything?
Original Review: Started off reasonable and told they would start seeking debt reduction a little after 5 month or so. Right about making my sixth payment, I said let me contact them since I had little. Then they changed their tune and said my few debts would have to go into collections before they would seek debt consolidation. This was never told to me before. Now I have no idea when they will seek the debt consolidation but I still make my monthly payments. I told them I will write the creditors and tell them I told Alleviate to pay them and they refuse.

The process is too long and not straight to the Point. It should not take all of this to sign up for your services. The legal explanation almost Just say forget it. Also, when I asked how long is this process it could be up to six months or less. I also asked what’s the difference with me just stopping payment on my own bills because I could have possibly negotiated my own deals after saving my own money. Your process is too long drawn out and it also does not help with all of a person's bills when you sign up, I was under the impression that your company would help with my own bills. The person I spoke to from your company Lauren was great, that pretty much the only reason I stayed, so I really hope it’s worth it in the long run.

I am not pleased with the program, because I don't feel as it was adequately explained yesterday. In the beginning I said that my accounts were up to date. I didn't know they needed to be in default. Also I was lied to about the date of when it would start. I was told it would be pushed back to 7/20 which it was not. Just red flags for me.

The person was very friendly, but read from a script VERY, VERY fast. She directed me to read along with her from the Welcome Packet, but I wasn’t able to get the packet in front of me before she started her script. He also informed me that I was paying another company that was not accredited with the BBB. My experience with this company has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I was initially promised a “hybrid loan” program that would protect my credit, settle my debts for around 55%, and have me rebuilding my credit within months. Instead, they hijacked my credit for over 16 months, charged me about $9,000 in fees, and ultimately pressured me into a high-interest loan—leaving me worse off than when I started. Instead of settling my $29,000 for the promised $16,000, I am now stuck paying nearly $35,000.
The representative who said he would be my main contact has been completely unreachable despite me calling multiple times. To make matters worse, their communication is completely disorganized—I’ve been harassed with calls and texts for a different person named Tracie, despite repeatedly telling them they have the wrong number. It’s clear their system is mostly run by AI with no real human oversight. Now, after all of this damage, they even had the nerve to send me a request to leave them a positive review as if my “welcome call” was just completed. Completely unethical, disorganized, misleading, and damaging to anyone who trusts them. Avoid this company at all costs.

While we do use automated systems for some communications such as feedback requests and reminders, all account management, negotiations and client support are handled directly by trained team members. Every major step in your program is overseen by real people committed to providing personalized service and assistance.
Our goal is to assist individuals facing financial hardship by negotiating with creditors to settle debts over time. While we strive to achieve settlements around 55%, each case is unique, and outcomes vary based on creditor agreements, as outlined in our signed contractual agreement.
We also want to clarify that while we do charge a service fee for debt settlement, it is factored into your monthly payment. We can confirm that you have not been charged $9k in our service fees. We understand concerns about total program costs, which is why we have our Program Cost Protection policy in place. If total program costs (Negotiated amount + our service fee) exceed 100% of the enrolled debt, eligible reductions on our service fees are available upon program graduation.
Additionally, while we offer some clients the option to apply for a loan through our partnered lenders to expedite settlements, participation is entirely optional, and we do not require anyone to apply or accept an offer.

Do not use this company to help you! I signed a contract with them hoping to consolidate my finances to improve my credit score as well as my financial situation. In the contract it states that it could take UP TO six months for them to negotiate with my creditors. I have called several times to find out what's going on. I log on to my portal and see that NOTHING has even begun and it's been MORE THAN SIX MONTHS! My credit score is sinking and I've been very patient. Working with this company has only made things worse! I spoke with someone and they said that they are still waiting to contact my creditors (one specifically) in order to negotiate. Funny because I have received offers from this particular creditor asking to negotiate WITH ME! And this was a few months ago! I have paid Alleviate over $2,000 and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AT ALL!!!!
It's a complete joke and no one, and I mean no one, has ever contacted me - it's always me calling them and they give me the same runaround answer each time. It's disgusting how these companies take advantage of people like me just trying to improve their financial situation. I am now having to find an attorney just to get out of this contract and get my money back so I can move on with my life. I lose sleep every day thinking about this and every time my phone rings from one of the three creditors calling - or even sending numerous emails saying I'm in default! I trusted this company and they are just having a big laugh at my expense.

Dissatisfied with the progress of my case. I have been working with you going on 5 payments and there has only been one settlement has been made. I feel like I am paying you to do nothing. This is not the first time I have emailed. I get no response from communications that I send. So far, this has not been a relief at ALL! These settlements are taking way too long to be settled. Big deal that you have settled one out of ten. Our Costco Visa card worked wonders and gave us relief. Saved a lot of stress. On my own our credit scores would be better and we would not have lost so much credit and credit cards. After working with Costco guaranteed I would have done a better job and worked a lot less for the results.

Positive experience so far. Nice personalized touch being able to get explanations and details over a phone conversation with real people live customer service agents. I am happy to have my first of 6 (and largest) debt reach a settlement agreement in less than two months. It would be nice to hear what progress (if any) is being made on the other 5 accounts. Updates by email would be best.
The instructions to disengage from any direct phone contact with creditors has also been very helpful. I did expect push back and collection protocols. There have been. As the remaining creditors have done as much damage as possible to my credit report, there is definitely no rational reason to have any direct contact. I leave this in the hands of Alleviate. I trust there will be more settlements over the course of the coming months. I am seeing improvements in my cash flow already. The bigger picture looks promising. Thank you for your support.

They explained the process to me. Within a phone call they told me what they could do for me. I signed up. Within the first few days I was called. They had made an agreement with one of my creditors. And I agreed to the agreement. They made it very easy for me and I believe it was a great deal. They gave a peace of mind. So far they have only settled 1 account and that was months ago. Not sure why I got a congratulations text now. They got 2 settlements on that one account, the 2nd being higher of course. I'm paying $500 a month and they have not done anything they promised. None of my other accounts have even been contacted. My credit cards are now all over the high limit and have tons of fees, etc. added to them. They promised when I signed up that I would be on the way to qualifying for a loan, but so far all my accounts have gotten much worse and my credit score has completely dropped out.

There was an offer provided. The offer is accepted. But I had to call in and correct the offer. They had the wrong information in the account. I don't know if by week 4 we should already have wrong or incorrect information on an account. After three weeks of calling this finally got resolved. But even now I worry. If this could happen so early in a project plan. What is to stop it's from happening again.

I’d been helping my granddaughter with her college expenses and using my credit cards. I overextended in my credit cards, and I needed help. Alleviate sent me a letter in the mail. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know if it was for real or a scam. I thought about it and figured that maybe I could still wing it. Setting up the process with them was good. My account with them is fairly new. They keep sending me reminders on the payments. I like that they have a portal. I’m very grateful for that since I like to see what's going on. Got a letter in the mail, saying that because we’re in Florida, we can consolidate all the higher interest bills. Matt from the company was very thorough. Pine view how to answer all the questions. The next day had the attorneys Department call us and give us the same kindness, great information, and all the answers we need we asked.

Alleviate reached out to me and it was easy to sign up with them. I got a welcome call and talked to their customer service rep who went over what I've signed up for and how the program works. She said in 3.5 years, I should be out of debt. So far, it's been good. I made my first payment this Friday, so we'll see how it goes.

The experience was very positive, but have a problem with the first payment as it came from them as being declined as I didn't have enough money in my account. And time got away with me so I didn't let you know to see if the payment could be moved further out. Mine next check that I will be getting is 5/9. I had texted to Brandon at ** but he didn't answer so I left a message k getting him know the o payment would be declined.

Giselle ** was very helpful in explaining process. I was a little caught off guard when she mentioned I had to be 3 months behind on my creditors before you would try to negotiate. I almost told her to forget it but then I realized I needed to get credit free at my age of 76.

I worked with Louis. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me. He answered all my questions. He went over how the program worked and explained to me what to expect and gave me an estimated timeline to see results. I was very nervous and unsure of how the program worked. I researched a lot of debt consolidation companies that could help me with my debt, and none of them have as high ratings as Alleviate did. So, I decided to sign up with them. And their customer service was good. They explained everything well, and they answered all my questions. And I’ll be paying $189 every paycheck. So, my experience working with them has been good. And my credit score already went up a little bit, which is good.
