Any concert I try to get tickets for these days costs a million dollars. Ticketmaster has presales (mostly with American Express cardholders) and sells most of the tickets. Then those customers resell the tickets for outrageous prices. Once the sale opens to the public all that is left is extremely expensive tickets, whether through Ticketmaster or resellers. It's unbelievable. Never have I had such a hard time getting tickets. I refuse to buy tickets that are so overpriced. Ticketmaster needs to get it together and make it fair for everyone but as long as they make their millions of dollars they don't really care. I wish something could be done about them. They basically have a monopoly on concert tickets.

Spent nearly $300 on tickets but they shifted date of performance to 4 months (!!) later and supposedly offered refund in their email and as per their published policy if we can't attend new date (we can't) but now fails to respond to several emails and their website's "Contact Us" attempts to seek refund now over several weeks. Tells you that they're supposed to respond within 72 hours but does not respond at all, well after that time. Considering legal action.

I have never had a more awful experience with any purchase in my entire life. I purchased Taylor Swift (presale) tickets through their app as a verified fan. I had great tix in my account before the app crashed and told me my order could not be processed and tickets had been canceled. Therefore, I went through it all again. 3-5 days later I had one order in my account, but two separate orders taken out of my bank. Customer service was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL until I finally spoke with Aaron ** after an hour of arguing with the previous guy, who then refunded the order since it was their fault.
They claimed they couldn't tell from their end that there was an issue with the app during my purchase. DON'T LET THEM TELL YOU THEY CAN'T REFUND YOU! I've worked in ticket industry and know how it works. That still didn't fix my overdraft charges my bank charged me. Aaron was so kind on the phone, and told me he would help get me the information I needed to fix the overdraft charges. I've tried contacting him and he has ignored my emails ever since. If I knew I was going to lose over $100 because of this right before Christmas time (or anytime), I would've never ordered through Ticketmaster and never will again. I'm just thankful it's only $100 I lost because it was almost over $300 total if it was up to the first guy I spoke with. They don't care about you as a person. Just a typical, money-hungry company.

It is way too hard to buy wheelchair accessible seats. If you try to do it online, the site inevitably tells you that you will leave seats orphaned in a row so you can't have them. So you call the ticket line. I have tried that on Thursday-Friday-Saturday-Sunday. It is too busy so no one answers. Instead of on a person on the phone, you can get the automated ticket line. There, after about 10 questions, it finally asks if you need accessible tickets. If you answer yes, it tells you to press 9. I press 9, 99999, 9# and nothing happens. It has NEVER worked any of the times I have tried. I finally called their customer support phone and was able to get tickets. But there needs to be a better routine way to get wheelchair plus companion seating through Ticketmaster.

I went on TICKETMASTER website to purchase Dancing With The Stars tickets for my mom for Christmas. I was very confused as to what were 1st run tickets and resale tickets, which the site is very vague about. I finally bought tix and they sent me the printable version of tix. I wanted some confirmation since they were listed as seats 39 & 41. The lady was trying to make me feel stupid because I didn't know that 39 & 41 were together, even tho she had pulled up seats 1 & 2 on her end. SMH. Either way, I felt comfortable moving closer to the date. That all would be good.
Get a call from my mom the night of the show and she wasn't able to get in. Her and her friend are standing out in 18 temps so I called Ticketmaster to address the situation. They told me the tickets weren't sold thru them and I should contact the reseller. I explained the confirmation email AND printable tickets were sent to me by TICKETMASTER, not a reseller. She puts me on hold forever, and comes back with telling me to call a number and ticketmaster is not in any way responsible. When I told her I thought this was **, she took it personally and starts lecturing me about my vocabulary, which I felt I perfectly described the situation. Well needless to say, I lost it! I reminded her my 75 year old mom was standing out in the cold over their incompetence and asked how she would feel if it were HER mom. Crickets... That's what I thought.
So then I called the reseller who had me on hold for 15 minutes and I hung up. I had earlier sent my mom the tickets on her friend's phone and they worked it out with the venue even tho they still weren't scanning. This is ridiculous how you charge enormous service fees but don't take responsibility after the sale. Let me say that SERVICE includes sale and everything including getting into the event. They show no customer service whatsoever, and btw, training your reps to say "sir I do apologize" sounds very condescending and non-caring when it's not backed up with a true solution. I'll never buy a gift for someone from TAKE IT MASTER again. Too embarrassing. They should be completely ashamed but they aren't I assure you. They're only about their money and could care less about the customer. If I could give a negative rating I would!

I tried to inquire about the Bulls game for Family Day games through my phone for 6 tickets. I selected the tickets and was waiting to enter the "family" promo code to get the $25 price per ticket. After I entered my card info I was under the impression that I would see the breakdown of the ticket prices and the field to enter the promo code before the order would go through and saw nothing. The following page was a "thank you for your purchase" and was charged $60 dollar per ticket. Because I'm an idiot I used my check card and now I'm out 400 dollars from my checking account. I called Ticketmaster right away and they were closed. I called the very next day and spoke with Anna and explained to them that I was only inquiring about tickets to see what it would cost at $25 per ticket with parking and fees etc. and that these tickets were purchased accidentally and was told that there was nothing they could do, and I had an option to sell them.
I told them no one would buy these tickets at the price I paid for because they are $25. I called them back again and spoke with Liz and she said that she would contact the venue to see if they would approve a refund and they would give me a call to let me know and a few hours later I received an email stating that the refund was not authorized by the client was the email I received from Arturo from Ticketmaster fan support. Purchasing ticket through the phone is very deceptive as it doesn't give you the breakdown of all the charges before submitting. The insurance cost didn't appear until after I received an email of all the charges. I will never buy anything from these crooks at Ticketmaster.

12/17/17, Janet Jackson concert at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. The seats that I paid for were "supposedly" unavailable due to recent renovations to the venue. We were re-seated to TERRIBLE seats that were NOWHERE NEAR the location or QUALITY of seats that I paid for. I selected/paid for seats in Section 306 (upper level, just left of centered-stage). After standing in a looooooong line waiting with 50+ other annoyed, confused, and inconvenienced concert-goers AND dealing with the RUDE ushers at the "re-seating" table we were finally reassigned seats--just minutes before that concert started--that were HIGHER UP and to the left of the stage. We were given seats that were a lesser value than what I paid. Ticketmaster should be aware of any renovations done to the venues where they sell tickets AND update their website accordingly. It is unethical to sell tickets for more than $100 each BUT reassign people to seats valued around $45-55.

I received an email directly from Ticketmaster stating my tickets to an event were sold. I immediately called them to state I didn't want these tickets sold. After 2 hours of dealing with different people giving me different answers, I ended up speaking with a supervisor from the fraud department. I was told that since I was being paid for these tickets, it wasn't fraud. I told them I never listed them. I was told I had made a mistake. The tickets were well undervalued for what they sold for. The tickets were listed at midnight on a Wednesday my time, and they could not provide the IP address they were listed from. Ticketmaster has no incentive to help me with this. In fact, they have an economic drive to not help me with this, since they make money on the sale.
I have seen multiple people claim the same thing online. How has a class action lawsuit not been filed over these types of occurrences? Seems like an easy way for people to commit fraud, without it looking like fraud and Ticketmaster has no economic drive to prevent, since they would actually lose money preventing it. (Loss of their fee on the resale.)

I wanted the best seats at House of Blues - Chicago for a show in Feb 2018. Live Nation (Ticketmaster) is the controller of tickets. The scam is crooks buy tickets then post them on the same website as resale. The tickets are advertised as better or reserved seating when in fact they are standard general admission tickets set at a gouging price. The Live Nation has a price scroll bar so if you slide to the highest price (better tickets) all you are doing is filtering out the standard price tickets and getting nothing but ripped off. Ticketmaster response to a refund is "no refund" you agreed to terms when you purchased. The website is incredibly deceiving to a first time user. How about a warning (you can purchase these same level tickets for less). Na then the crooks would not have any advantage. Oh and Ticketmaster already has gotten to the Credit Card companies - no disputing their charges. Unbelievable!!

Yea. Happy holidays to you too. What a ripoff. Disgusted with the lack of empathy and help to reimburse a purchase made in error due to the website incorrect link.

I recently purchased a ticket to a concert. Since I only had to buy one ticket for myself for this particular show, I decided I'd splurge and get the best seats I could. I had the code for the pre-sale and was online at 10:00 when the sale began. I selected the $175.00 "Platinum" tickets again, because I wanted to get the best possible seat.
Considering the price was more than double the regular ticket price and the option was labeled as "Platinum tickets", it is absolutely reasonable to expect either, significantly better quality seats than those available at the regular ticket price OR some other additional benefits/amenities. However, what the customer gets for paying more than double is nothing. After completing my purchase, I got in touch with a friend to tell him the section and seat I got for the $175 "Platinum" ticket I purchased and ask where his seats were.
He informed me then that I had just been scammed if my tickets do not include any extras and then proceeded to get back online and was able to pull up a ticket for a seat in the same section and only one row behind the row my seat was in for $65. So I was charged a $110 premium for a seat that's only one row better than a regular priced ticket. Of course, the fact that there's a timer running that limits the amount of time you have to complete your purchase and there is no way to compare the seats that are available in the different categories/price ranges without going back and losing your place in the "queue", makes it impossible to see exactly what your options are without the risk of being dropped back to the end of the line.
The response I received from Ticketmaster's "Platinum Ticket" fan support reps was as follows... "Official Platinum Seats are some of the best seats in the house, set aside for fans by artists and event providers. Official Platinum Seats offer safe and equitable access to up-close event experiences, however they don't include additional amenities like merch or VIP perks. Official Platinum Seats are only available online."
So, basically they blame the artists and promoters for the ticket prices and if their explanation that "Platinum" seats offer is correct, that they "offer safe and equitable access" to events, does that mean that customers who do not pay a surcharge of more than double the regular ticket price do NOT get safe and equitable access to the events they're selling tickets for? I fell for the Ticketmaster/Live Nation "Premium" ticket scam this time but it will never happen again and will do as much as possible to inform others of this fraud being committed.

I was supposed to get a refund for these tickets. I TOLD the agents that the card I used for the purchase was a one time use disposable card that I DEACTIVATED right after the purchase and that refunding the money to that card will be useless. I told the rep it needs to go to a valid credit card of mine, I gave her the info and she said, "Ok it's taken care of, refund will go to the card you provided me with." It DIDN'T and now I lost my money because they refunded the money to an INACTIVE disposable one time use card. Called Ticketmaster and they didn't give a damn to fix this. All they said is, "Sorry nothing I can do." Wow what customer service. If they don't fix this and refund back to the VALID ACTIVE card I have as opposed to the one I TOLD them was DEACTIVATED and ONE TIME USE, I will be reporting them to BBB. Their choice. Let's see if they make this right or don't care.

So disorganized. I was trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift and it kept on trying to load verifying my tickets, for I’d say 30 minutes. Then the page went completely white and blank. At this point I was having a full blown panic attack while my dad was trying to get on the phone with Ticketmaster customer support, and for 30 minutes he was on the phone being transferred to the next agent. Then my dad refreshed the page and I had to enter the presale code in again, and it wouldn’t let me in, since it thought I already used the code to buy tickets, which I didn’t.
I had a severe panic attack and was throwing a fit and was going insane for an hour and a half until my sister finally somehow bought tickets, much farther back than the original ones I was trying to buy. I am very very unsatisfied based on this experience, they need to get more people to help on the phone and for people’s access code to not be considered as used until an actual purchase is made. This whole situation also could’ve been avoided if I just received a message that my tickets had been bought and was able to select new ones. I was expecting a more organized purchase so I could actually be excited for the concert instead of being angered at the horrible experience.

My granddaughter paid $170 to see Evanescence in St. Louis, MO on December 3rd. The price was to include coasters, and a pre-show experience where she could watch the band rehearse. She was told to be at the Peabody Opera House 2 hours early to watch. She arrived in time, and along with about 100 others, was told that there had been some "mistake" and that the pre-show experience was NOT included in the price of the ticket. All the guests that had been told they were to be there for this experience had to sit and wait 2 hours for the show to begin... No offer for a partial refund or anything else. Ticketmaster Jay-Z 4:44 Tour - I am very upset with Ticketmaster. I had mistakenly ordered 2 tickets for a show that was located in a different state and the show was happening on the day of. I called that same day to have my money refunded but the customer service was closed. The other option was that I can email customer service but it would take 72 hours for them to reach me back. I then decided okay well I can call them the following business day to have my money refunded. I called and I was told that I was supposed to have called the day of the show in order to get an exchange/refund. I argued that I did but service was closed and I emailed instead.
This lady argued stating that it’s unfortunate and she cannot refund me my money and that there were no other options she could do. All I asked was to either have my money of 564.80 refunded/exchange or receive tickets for the show that I originally wanted to go see in MY city. I was willing to be offered credit to my account, however she made no exception and would not accommodate at all!! I have been a valued customer for years and for them to treat me with such careless and non negotiable way was pathetic and very disappointing. I purchased general admission tickets for Lady Gaga in Miami almost a year ago which isn’t uncommon. These tickets were credit card entry only (meaning you needed the physical card to enter and tickets were not provided for transfer or resale). I understand the concept and the idea is to protect the fans so they aren’t forced to pay extremely high resale value from 3rd parties for “hot” seats. However, a lot changes in a year… I moved to the other side of the country. Ticketmaster has no plan for supportable life changing circumstances and I am now out hundreds of dollars because I couldn’t attend the show.
I offered proof of address, proof I repurchased Tickets in the state I now live. I couldn’t give them away, give them back to Ticketmaster, sell them… They offered no solutions except “oh well”. I was fine not having the ridiculous fees returned (which is a whole separate issue in itself). They should not be allowed to make you feel hostage when you have a legitimate reason for not attending that can be supported. I wish I had other options to never use them again but they monopolize the entire event area.

Brian May and Adam had their backs to us the entire concert. I never saw the concert! It was falsely advertised and we were upset when we left the arena. It was a big dream that will never happen again.
I have reached out to my credit card company, I have posted on social media to try to make sure people don't buy an onstage Ultimate experience only to see a better view of the exact same concert at home in my bed on YouTube. I was allowed to take pictures but no video. I have many pics that back up my claim that this was far from an onstage Ultimate experience. I have too shared them so people can see how disappointing the view was. I believe I should pay something just not $2,500 for two tickets. Thank you.

So I contacted them, and they told me it's because the add-ons has an additional $6.25 processing fee on them each.
I was like wow, why didn't it states that there's such a high processing fee for such small items? Or at least list them on the details. I would have notice it first hand if I see that. I asked if I can cancel these 2 add-ons as I was only planning to pay $20 not $32.50. All they can do is crediting me $5 for this inconvenience. On Live Nation's site (Ticket Master's parent company), they explicitly state that Ticketmaster Resale tickets would be refunded in full if the ticket "does not conform to the listing description". I would think arriving to find out your "seat" did not exist would certainly qualify! The total cost was over $2,000.00. Further, their follow up / "customer service" has been dreadful! Several emails stating: can't find a record of your purchase (I provided scans, order numbers, etc), "please give us 7-10 business days to investigate" (sent 3 times, extending this out for 2 weeks each time beyond the promised resolution date), providing a number for a woman named Pam in West Virginia which goes right into her voicemail (and she never called back). According to other online reviews of TM, many others have experienced the same experience with "Pam".
The section in question: Special Refund Provisions Applying to Resale Tickets (note clause 'c'). The following applies only to resale tickets to Illinois events: If you purchase resale tickets to an event located in Illinois, you will receive a refund of the amount you paid for that resale ticket if (a) the ticketed event is canceled (in which case you will not receive a refund of any delivery fees), (b) that ticket does not allow you to enter the ticketed event for reasons that may include, without limitation, that the ticket is counterfeit or that the ticket has been canceled by the issuer due to non-payment, unless the ticket is canceled due to an act or omission by you, (c) that ticket fails to conform to its listing description, or (d) you failed to receive that ticket. That's the card they need just in case the event is canceled. I contacted customer service right away. I told them I couldn't replace that card. It was the only one I had. They replied in a email, "If you are unable to input another card the sale will not reverse and the payment will simply be delayed." Now they say they cannot pay me until a new card is entered. Even though the concert happened a week ago. They still demand a new card just in case the event is canceled. It looks like the only way for me to get paid in to apply for a new card.

I was online the very second that tickets went on sale only to be told they were sold out. Immediately thereafter those same tickets were listed on StubHub and other ticket sales websites for 10 times the face value. A $500 ticket was $5000 plus... EACH! What a scam! It's a disgrace to the supposedly down home "American family values" that country music tries to imply they cater to. Calling out the CMA to do something!! This has been going on for years. Is someone getting a cut of this money? Is that why nothing changes???

Since I was taking two children to their very first concert, I wanted it to be special. I spent twice as much as I had originally planned so that we could the front row of the balcony. These seats were designated as front row, and yet when we arrived at the venue, there were box seats in front of us with tall adults lining the railing. It was a sold out show so we could not move. I contacted Ticketmaster first thing the next morning to ask them to address the issue. After all, my children saw none of the show. It was heartbreaking for them in addition to a waste of money.
The rep viewed the online seating plan from which I selected my seats and agreed with me that it showed that these were front row seats, and that no other rows or seats should have been in front of us. He apologized profusely, then transferred me to a supervisor for "a refund." The supervisor left me on hold for 45 minutes and then came back on to say that they would be happy to send a $25 Ticketmaster gift card... To me to make me feel better about the $364 in tickets I purchased based on their fake seating arrangement?! Had I only paid $35 per ticket we could have been down on the main floor with a much better view of the concert stage.

So I went to the website on my iPad and bought the tickets, entered my gift card but it didn't take it. Argggh. Btw the gift card was a refund of outrageous service fees paid for spending an entire afternoon buying hockey tickets last March. With service fees that high the service should be exceptional. Too bad we are stuck with using Ticketmaster for a lot of events. It is an awful experience every time.

I was online to purchase tickets as soon as they went on sale. Clicked on 'find tickets' and it proceeded to search. It tells you not to refresh or leave page or you will lose you place in line, so I just waited it out. Seven minutes later a message pops up saying no tickets are available. The only ones you can purchase are top tier VIP packages. They do however have a bunch of their "fan to fan" resale tickets available (apparently from the pre-sale earlier in the week) here is where it gets really sketchy.
Ticketmaster is supposed to be against bots, yet they have nothing in place to prevent them. They allow resale of tickets immediately after purchasing calling it "fan to fan" resale, which is about as far from the truth as you can get. Then, not only do they charge fees for the initial sale of the ticket, but they charge again for the "resale" of the ticket so they can collect even more money. The truth is that they want the bots to buy the tickets and resale them so they can collect fees twice instead of just once.

Don't ever purchase Ticketmaster' pre-sales. They take your purchase and send it through a different company called Ticketstoday. The problem with that is that their policies are completely different so even though you're under the impression you're purchasing through Ticketmaster, whose policy is to send the tickets within 10 to 14 business days, Ticketstoday's policy is to wait until 10 days before the event to send the tickets.
That may be ok for some people but these were a Christmas gift, and the person they're for will need to take the time off 2 weeks in advance, which means I'll have to tell them "Well, I bought you tickets but I don't have them yet." just doesn't have the same effect. I even called Ticketmaster and they said they have no record of my purchase. There was no benefit to me purchasing through the presale. My sister’s tickets were slightly cheaper, still floor seats so just as good, and I purchased on 09/08/17; still don't have my tickets. I got back on for my sister during general sale, purchased hers on 09/15/17 and she got hers in the mail on 09/22/17. Do not purchase through Ticketstoday; or sign up for Ticketmaster presale as the purchase may be sent through to another company and not actually done through Ticketmaster and you could get screwed.

When I got to the checkout, the total was $80+ (can't remember exact) so nearly $30 in fees on a $56 purchase. It is simply over the top when there is no "handling" of any kind as this is an electronic transaction. I entered chat with a representative with a company several hours after making the purchase, and I had no option to refund. My only option is to re-sell the tickets, and it only makes me feel worse given that the website is exploiting the transaction fees of each re-sale, and the new ticket buyers may similarly not be aware of this as being a pre-season game. My son purchased tickets to a Neil DeGrasse Tyson lecture for the wrong venue. (New York, we are in Boston). He immediately noticed his mistake and emailed Ticketmaster to ask for a refund. The email notice said someone would get back to him in 12 hours. Not true. So, he called the very next day. The purchase was made on a Saturday, so that made it Sunday. The phone just rang and continued to make a beeping noise. He called them again on Monday morning, explained his situation and was told by the representative that the venue did not offer refunds and therefore there was nothing they could do for him. I'm not sure what the venue has to do with the refund since the transaction was less than 24 hours old. I told him to ask for a supervisor. He waited on hold for 37 minutes for a supervisor to come to the phone.
Jonathan was very short and he didn't want to hear any of the circumstances surrounding the mistaken purchase. He was condescending with my son so I got on the phone. He kept saying, "The only advice I can give you is to post it on our sister site to try and resell them." I, in turn, said, "Right. Your sister site is just Ticketmaster under a different name." I continued to ask him if there was anything that could be done. Could they at least refund the processing fees a total of $40? Nope, nothing he can do. "It says no refunds on the site." That is up for interpretation as it is misleading. Nowhere on the ticket page does it say that the tickets are nonrefundable. All that it says is: "Get a full refund on tickets for participating venues and teams if you change your mind within 72 hours of purchase. If eligible, a refund link will appear on the order details page of your TM account."
This is the first time my son, he's 19, has purchased tickets on his own. But even I would have interrupted that statement as I had up to 72 hours to change my mind. Ticketmaster is sneaky and isn't clear about their refund policies. It was literally 5 minutes after purchase that he realized his mistake. I have spent thousands of dollars on the Ticketmaster site, you think they could refund my college age son $260 of his own money. Ticketmaster is a 5-billion-dollar company. $262 is 0.0000000524 percent of 5 billion. Another example of the big companies taking advantage of the little guy. I won't be purchasing any tickets from Ticketmaster again. Note: When I asked for the supervisor's full name he said they aren't allowed to give out their last names and gave me an op code. The next day I call them and they tell me that once I have the tickets transferred to me they void anything else out so I can't be scammed. I then ask why my tickets didn't work and they tell me I never opened the tickets. Which I know is wrong because I showed about a dozen people and had them scanned multiple times at the event.
Now they are saying that they can't give me a refund because I purchased them through someone else. I don't want a refund for the price I paid someone else, I just want a refund for the amount that TicketMaster sold the tickets for. I went online to see if I could print it out but was unable to so I called customer service. The agent informed me I could download the app and do it or I could have it printed out and mailed to me for an extra service fee. He also said I could get it at roll call at the event. What is the point of buying tickets online if I'm just going to wait in line at an event?
This was the day before the concert so I asked the agent how I was supposed to get my ticket mailed in before tomorrow. I simply asked him if he could just print out the info and email it to me. I waited patiently for weeks for individual tickets to go on sale for a hockey game, which happened to be one of the last teams to go on sale for the season. I was going to buy them for my brother and his younger son as a birthday gift. I set my alarm and was ready to go at exactly the time told. I found some tickets and went to purchase them; however, the only option for delivery was something they called Mobile. Now, I get that it's 2017 in a tech age, but their mobile delivery specifically says that you can't email nor similar tech option. I could not do this because it was a gift, and I had bought tickets for a different gift to a football game the day before which were emailed to me. After searching for awhile on their disorganized, unfriendly website, I found the info to email and call them.
The first phone call was a robot and it said that I could not buy these tickets over the phone - even though the website said I could. It was very frustrating "talking" to this robot because we had to repeat the information several times. The second phone call, we were on hold for awhile and talked to two representatives. That phone call was over an hour! Neither really said much of anything besides "I'm sorry for the hold" and "we can't do that." No pleasantries, no sign of comprehending the conversations, no effort that showed they wanted us to be satisfied customers, definitely nothing above and beyond!
One of them worked in the "escalations" department, which I saw somebody else on here say. (Aka I was clearly frustrated. I'm confused though; if your company is that bad that you have to have a whole department called that, then why not fix the problem and work on getting a better business and providing better customer service?) At one point, the guy in the escalations department said he would credit me the extra cost of mailing the ticket. This was the only solution I actually heard from this company. However, it turns out that it was not true because I literally could not be mailed the ticket.
I still have never heard a reason for this. I could not get my so-called product emailed, mailed, faxed nor anything. So, they never got my money and I plan on never giving them any again. Another frustrating part here is that there are concerts, events, etc that I would like to go to, but I will not end up supporting these artists, venues, etc because they continue to use such a terrible middle man/3rd party.

Unfortunately you have to buy the ticket to find out! Whilst they have a long list of vendors who participate in refunds I think this is inadequate and really a customer trap... Let me preface my review by saying that the rep I spoke with on the phone was a total pro. She was nice, helpful, and really tolerant of the fact that I was extremely dissatisfied. So, Kudos to her for her patience and professionalism in the face of this despicable system. The product however - is a scam. Now, as to Ticketmaster and Platinum Tickets: Though they are not allowed to sell tickets for these venues above the face value - somehow they have a magical supply of these 'platinum tickets' from a 'third party' available just days after all the good seats were sold out. So, somehow Ticketmaster has exclusive access to tickets that have never been sold before - and they are able to charge 2-10 times the retail price because supposedly these tickets are recently made available by the artist or event promoter.
I spent 3 hours on the phone with TM today (1.5 of which was on hold), and no one was able to tell me who the promoter was, who made these 'platinum tickets' available for sale, or exactly where the tickets came from. And, to top it off, one hour after I paid WAY too much for some of these rare and fancy 'platinum tickets' 20 more of these tickets became available for sale at a lower price. All front row, all equal distance from the stage, and now all cheaper than the ones I just bought. What just happened? Though I was able to come to a reasonable resolution - bear in mind that the official Ticketmaster policy for Platinum Tickets is: No Refunds. No Exchanges. No Cancellation Protection. No Transparency. No Kidding.
Somehow, Ticketmaster has turned their website into a resale portal and they are offering 'deals' on brand new tickets available from anonymous entities at an exorbitant rate. They long ago decided to join the "it's just business" folks who try to excuse their total lack of morals, decency, or social responsibility. So, the next time your favorite artist tries to offer their fans tickets for a fair and negotiated price, and on hour one of the public sale you can't buy tickets because they are all gone, please feel comforted by the fact that Ticketmaster does not care about music, fans, or people because, "it's just business".
And should you ever try to contact one of these platinum representatives, and the phone line is not giving you the busy signal, be prepared to wait a lonnnnng time. Ticketmaster only has about 4-5 phone reps in the office at any given time - and these 4-5 reps have the responsibility of handling all of the Platinum Ticket phone calls for the entirety of USA, Canada, and also parts of Europe. 4-5 phone reps to handle millions of customers?!? It's just business.

On the first day... when tickets went on sale for Barcelona-Real Madrid game in Miami, there were NO tickets available OTHER THAN THE MOST EXPENSIVE seats (thousands of dollars). I purchased the cheapest 2 tickets available for almost 400 per ticket. Then a few days later they made available ALL THE TICKETS and were selling HALF the price. So they overcharge me $ 200 per ticket. When I called to get a partial refund to match the current official price... they just said no refunds or exchange. This is plain ROBBERY... be AWARE of their dishonest practices!!!

I'm not happy at all due to being a genuine fan of "The Weekend"... The tickets went on sale at 3pm and at 6pm after work I try to purchase a ticket and they are sold out due to the scalpers, and Ticketmaster quite happily say "we have a resale site you can purchase a ticket" which has jumped in price from 139.00 to anywhere from 175.00 up to 570.00 per tickets. It's absolutely disgusting. Where is the justice in this???? Those people have no intentions of going to this concert and are just out to make money off the celebrities and these ticketing places quite happily are allowing these idiots to do it. Plus there's another part you're only allowed tickets if you own an American Express card, now how many people do you know that own one of these cards???? The rich ticket scalpers???? Something needs to be done about this coz it is absolutely ridiculous that there isn't a law against these money making scammers.

I originally bought tickets for June 9th tickets to go see The Weeknd. It would have been my first concert ever for myself and I was beyond excited to get some back in early March. I go and select a ticket, I wanted to buy two but there were "resale" tickets? I had no idea what those were until after I bought them. I wanted to buy two seats in the same row. So, I thought, "Oh, it said I could buy one or three". So I bought one and it chose where I sat in the row? That's horrible. I go and try to buy another individual seat but they say, "Sorry! You can only buy tickets in pairs!" So I wanted to switch them for the individual to buy both seats and they said... "That's impossible, I'm sorry that's up to the reseller." So I'm already pissed off because that's sketchy, and they offered little help and they said, "We can't give you a refund. You have to sell your resale tickets! Sorry!"
How does this make any sense! (I'll explain further down what happened...) So I've already spent 200+ dollars on one ticket so far and I'm pretty upset that I can't get two, because my friend decided to ask to join me... but, anyways, I asked if I could get information about the reseller to see if he/she could open the tickets to selling individually and Ticketmaster told me once more, "Sorry! Can't do that or can't change it!" So. I gave up and decided to give in and sell my awful ticket at this point. I resell the resale ticket (this was already ridiculous), and there's an AGREEMENT! It says, "In order for you to sell your tickets you have to check mark this box just in case your buyer wants a refund on the event!" (Now this is stupid) - I could have easily gotten a refund from the resale ticket I bought it from unless it was impossible, being from a bot! But, I wouldn't know!
They refused to help me get a refund, yet expect to say yes to getting a refund taken out of MY account versus TM to pay up or the venue to refund the money to /That/ buyer! That's horrible! It should fall under an agreement after you sell the tickets you should be severed of this agreement where if the venue fails it is RESPONSIBILITY of TM to pay back! I put in my card information and agree to the awful checkmark, and then maybe a week later change my card information because this one "Was not a valid payment", thus I ended up with over 5 different emails telling me "I have to verify it", the card was completely valid, and had plenty of money on it, but... let's continue. I'm frustrated and honestly will never get another ticket with Ticketmaster after the phone tag I played with Ticketmaster to hear them tell me, "Your card information is VERIFIED".
Then I get another one telling me the information doesn't exist on the website after verifying it like it instructed in email. (The emails sent were not false email or viruses. I checked.) So, headache after headache, my tickets FINALLY sold, and more "unverified card" issues... I check and call them every few days since late May after my tickets initially sold. I call and I leave them my name, etc., information they would need in general. I call them back the next day and they say, "There's something wrong with our card information processor online, we're going to give you a call back when there's an update on your account. What's your phone number?" I give the number... it's been 5 days, no emails, no phone calls. I call them again, they say, "Oh we don't have a phone number in the system."
The last lady said they put it in and would call me back! I feel like she was listening to me and was careless and failed to put or write down my issue let alone my phone number to call me back! This lady actually put it in and told us an email would be sent too. A email gets sent saying the same thing, "It's still down we don't know when it will be back up." That's hilarious. It's been almost two weeks yet specifically when I want my money from a sold ticket it takes almost half a month just to get to a point where they actually verify my card or give me anything?? Anyways! I give them another call after getting an empty time. I get forwarded to resale in less than 2 minutes, I swear they knew I was going to call or already saw the amount of calls I've made in the last month.
It finally got to a point where I'm now waiting on my "micro deposit" but that'll take another 5 days. Then I verify that, then have to wait another 10 days... it takes so long to deposit yet they're a multimillion dollar company? It's horrible service and they're rather careless and don't care about the people trying to buy from them to constantly ruin it! It was the biggest headache I have had since April... It has taken forever to get my payment. I don't understand what failed on their part. It's taken so much of my time. Let's hope after adjusting my current information from my card to direct deposit that it happens... or it'll be more phone calls and email tagging, I just wish the system was simpler and more in and out rather than what I ran into...

Ticketmaster continues to try and resell tickets at higher than face value for concerts they perceive as being high demand. This often results in low attendance at concerts reported as "sold out", like Prince's last concert in Calgary. The amazing thing is, Ticketmaster lists the "resale" tickets on their official website. They've dispensed with the third party facades. That, friends, is ballsy.

Ticketmaster seem completely incompetent. After erroneously purchasing tickets for a concert in Monterey, CA for this Friday as opposed to Saturday, I contacted Ticketmaster via its chat function to be informed that while it would be possible to exchange the tickets I could only do so by calling Ticketmaster on Monday. After being placed on hold for almost 40 minutes the following Monday, the agent first informed that it would not be possible to buy tickets for the Saturday. Upon my insistence to speak to a supervisor, the same agent came back after another 10 minutes to correct her earlier incorrect statement, and assured me the tickets were transferred to Saturday. She also assured me that the electronic tickets will be forwarded with 20 minutes.
More than 4 hours later, I still had not received the email and called again. Again I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes, upon which the agent told me that the problem has been fixed and that I will receive my tickets in 20 minutes by email. Yet again, this did not happen. This morning, I called again. After another long holding period the agent (Giselle) told me that the previous two agents made a mistake with some setting and that this has been fixed. Again I was assured that an email with my electronic tickets will be sent by email. Another 3 hours later, and the email has not yet arrived. I decided to now cancel the tickets and will request AMEX to put a fraudulent block on the charges. DO NOT USE Ticketmaster. I will definitely never do so again. If it was possible, I would rate the service in the negative!

My experience with their customer service call center was the most dissatisfying experience I've ever dealt with. The WORST ever! On June 2nd, I went on their website and bought tickets for my daughter as a birthday gift to see a comedy show. I made the mistake of typing my email incorrectly. For days, I kept checking my email and never received the tickets. I checked my credit card and there was a charge. So on June 8th, I called their contact number to find out what's going on with my tickets (this was around 3:30 pm). The lady I spoke to verified my email and I realized it was incorrect (which was my mistake). She fixed it and told me to wait 15-20 minutes to get the tickets through my email. I waited 30 minutes and no email. Called back, a different representative I spoke to verified my email and tried emailing me again. I still didn't get my tickets. I called again. This time we decided to try a different email. I still didn't get my tickets.
This went on few times. Every time I called, the representatives said they resolved the issue and I should get an email w/ my tickets. It got to the point where I was on my 5th call over a 3 hour time frame of trying to resolve the issue and waiting for the email, I requested to speak to a supervisor. The representative kept trying to resolve the issue instead of getting a supervisor to talk to me. Then, he puts me on hold for several minutes (5-10 min), came back on the phone just to tell me that he's still trying to get a supervisor, and while waiting for the supervisor, he's trying to figure out how to fix the problem. Again, he puts me on hold and we get disconnected. I called the 6th time, another representative kept finding excuses not to let me talk to a supervisor, said she fixed the problem and guarantees that I will get my tickets through my email in 5 minutes.
We disputed for few minutes about what guarantee she was going to guarantee me if I don't get the email. She just kept saying that she fixed the problem and that she guarantees it. She waited with me on the phone and after 5 minutes, no email/tickets, so I requested for a supervisor immediately. She puts me on hold and several minutes later got disconnected. By now I am extremely frustrated and furious. The 7th call I made, I got disconnected again while I was put on hold for a supervisor. The 8th call (around 8:45 pm), I demanded to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold. After 15 minutes on hold, someone from the escalate department picks up to tell me that they will mail my tickets free of charge through UPS.
I got off the phone at 9:05 pm...still very dissatisfied about how poorly the situation was dealt with, the amount of time that I spent dealing with this issue, how the representative guarantees me, and how complicated it is to talk to a supervisor (which I never got to talk to). In addition, every time I called, I had to go through a process of providing my information to an automated teller before speaking to a representative and every time was a different representative, which I had to repeat myself and explain the whole situation. This is the first time I had ever wanted to complain and write a review about a horrific experience.
Updated on 10/22/2017: So, I left off that the customer rep. from the escalate dept. was going to ship my tickets through UPS. Well, I never got my tickets either. I was told that I would receive it on June 16th. I was off that day so was home all day. UPS came but I only got my shipment of clothes that I had ordered... No tickets. I gave it a few days before calling Ticketmaster again. The customer rep. that I spoke to this time was no different from all the others that I've spoken to in the past... Rude. He checked the tracking number and told me it was delivered and nobody was home so the tickets are now at the UPS center.
Well, I was home and even if I wasn't, UPS would have left me a note, which I never got. Then, he told me I need to pick up my tickets at the center. By now, I want nothing to do with Ticketmaster and want my money back. Plus, I shouldn't have to drive out of my way to pick up my tickets. I asked for a refund and he refused to give me a refund. He stated that "We did our part. We sent it through UPS." So I told him that I'm going dispute this transaction with my credit card company and we hung up. As soon as I got off the phone, I called my credit card company and my problem was resolved... I no longer had to deal w/ Ticketmaster nor will I ever again!

I had gotten the pre-sale code from the artist's website so I purchased via their site to get to Ticketmaster. I was going for what I knew to be best as VIP. As I saw the VIP seats offered, I saw listed Platinum Seats for about 35% more, at least. As you know you have a timer going on your current seat offer. So, I went for the Platinum as these were Christmas gifts and I figured this would be like VIP + better seats.
A few days before the concert, my daughter asked what exactly she got for Platinum. I told her what I 'had thought' but yes, I had forgotten about verifying what perks she would get. So Google of course and it says that these are considered Best Seats in the House thus the higher cost. It listed no perks like shirts at discount, anything!! Something!! Marked it up to duh mom and lesson learned. When she got to the venue with her friend for the concert, they were asking her what were Platinum seats. She told them all we knew. The lady being very kind checked and nope she wasn't on a VIP list nor was I as the purchaser.
A couple of employees kept saying for sure you get something at that price. I tried to call TM in the meantime and it was Sunday evening. Of course nobody is working. Seriously, why would there be? So I told her just enjoy the seats and I was sorry. She had known prior that there were no perks, it was the venue employees that were determined she MUST get something. But no.
During the concert she and her friend chatted with some people in the seats in front of them. They were VIP seats and they had gotten something from the Band, a piece of art I believe she said. AND, the kicker, their tickets were substantially cheaper. But yet I had bought Best Seats in the House section. One row diff to see the band was nothing. I'm saying I paid, for 2 tickets over $120 more total than the folks in front and NO perks. Now, what's wrong with this picture.
Since then I have Googled again and saw people totally angry about their Platinum seats' costs with similar complaints. Many just said it was just a way for TM to get more money out of people. LIKE ME!! LOL. How is it feasible to sell Platinum for much more, seats in front of them cheaper? I don't know what I expect to happen here but it's just flat out a price hike that is seriously without any factual incentive to purchase them. Best seats imply at least from your row forward are the top of the line, cream of the crop. But nooo!!
It's very late and I can only hope I am making sense with little sleep last night. I think they should stop this ridiculous gouging of customers, or include VIP perks along with the Platinum price. Basically I feel Ticketmaster gouged us prob for seats that would have been VIP for less money but I fell for the Platinum which sounded like an UPGRADE! But ended up being an extra $120ish bucks more to them for nothing!
I thank you for at least letting me sound off. I do know my daughter loved the concert and her seats. She like me, feels badly I spent that much more for the seats. This is not something I would normally do, but yep, I did it this time. I hope you can make some sense out of all this dialogue. I can't tell a short story!!! It's embedded in my genes. I'm originally from the South!! :)

Tulsa show was great except, 1. bought VIP package, did not get any VIP at the arena. No Early entry. No swag that was promised. No Lanyards, ect.... To make things worse, I just got back home to Little Rock and found the T-shirt I bought during the stampede at the table was not the one I asked & paid for. I asked for the "US & THEM" shirt with the two outstretched hands but got some BS crap shirt that my four yr old could have copied and pasted. Wow. I know Roger can't oversee everything but, when you pay in advance for "VIP", Early Entry so you don't have to fight the crowd.... Maybe this mistake would not have happened. After 12 emails, 4 calls, and many headaches, I finally received a response apologizing for the extended wait time, but without even addressing my initial inquiry! Their customer support is an oxymoron and an absolute joke. Ticketmaster has zero regard or respect for their customers. Very, very unhappy with Ticketmaster. Let's start with fees, handling fee really, inconvenience fee even crazier than venue fees. Have you heard this 1 before? The promoters aren't allowing refunds. Or we can contact the venue but they're not guaranteeing refunds. But Ticketmaster is the 1 that sold you your tickets. The venue has no say. They're rude and such liars. They also own the "TicketsNow" site (I believe). Not positive but heard that. Which is a secondary market for their tickets to sell at a greater rate. They do (pre-sales) and only give the codes to ticket brokers who scoop up all the best seats and sell them on Ticketmaster site. I'm so sick of their rude, lying, fee grabbing practices. I was unable to print the tickets. "You will not receive paper tickets for this event. Log in to our website or app on your smartphone to view your mobile ticket." I installed the app on my phone and logged in and noticed that the event was immediately listed under "Past Events". The ticket was "ANY ONE DAY" between Thu and Sun. This was Saturday morning. I noticed that I was indeed able to view tickets I have purchased of other upcoming events. But this particular ticket was inaccessible.
I went online twice to chat with representatives to resolve this. One told me, "The best I can do would be for me to set these for will call for you." I went to the event - went to Will Call. No tickets. I showed them my receipt and explained that I can't get to my tickets and they said that wasn't something that they can allow me entry with. So I purchased another ticket at the door for $80 (incidentally over $14 cheaper)!! I tried to dispute this with my Amex. Apparently they have an interesting relationship with Ticketmaster where you cannot easily file disputes with them. I don't have the exact message to copy/paste because I've been logged out since I attempted to dispute online, but it was something resembling, "Ticketmaster has very strenuous dispute regulations and you will need to reach out to Ticketmaster directly in order to resolve this."
I called Ticketmaster and spoke with someone and got a semi-unhelpful response of, "I'll submit this for you to see if they'll resolve it, but it may not be possible." Fast forward to getting the tickets she had them in her cart at Ticketmaster and when my husband entered his credit card information the site crashed our browser and a message popped up saying that "ALL THE TICKETS FOR THIS VENUE HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT". My daughter freaked out and was hysterical (yes, she is a little dramatic).
Well she had been planning to go and was really excited so... my husband looked in his email and a message said that THE TICKETS WERE STILL IN HIS CART. Thinking that he DID NOT buy the tickets he went to another site and bought the tickets online. I checked our credit card and at that point NO CHARGES had been applied. He called Ticketmaster only for them to say "that this is out of their hands because they are just an intermediary and ONLY resell tickets and it wasn't their fault the site crashed... if we had done this on our their mobile phone they could track the crash but since we did it on the computer they had no way of tracking it". That was the first time we spoke to them.
And those notices about the tickets still being in your cart "will come even if you bought the tickets that message is always generated" though ODDLY WE DO NOT RECEIVE THOSE MESSAGES anymore after they said THEY WOULD NOT REFUND our $230 (which is now $460 because of buying the tickets from another site). They transferred my husband to another associate of TICKETMASTER who said she could file a complaint (yeah right). Our credit card company said we were welcome to file a complaint. "They COULD NOT stop a pending charge from occurring". The insult to injury part is where they added you can always "try to sell those tickets on OUR SITE though we do add a $17.16 upcharge per ticket which is a handling charge!!" When I printed my tickets & went to the event we couldn't enter because the tickets showed the 1st night of the show (Wed.) which had already past. There were also two other families I ran into at the ticket counter (I had to buy left over seats on Sat. for the grandkids & I to go to the show). While the show was still running I contacted Customer Support who assured me they would send my case to an appeals group & wait 10 days & call back.
Today I called back & customer support person said nothing was on my account about appealing case & show wasn't running anymore so couldn't help me. I'm just out $1,500! I think there is something wrong with your system. I asked just to be reimbursed for the ADDITIONAL tickets I had to buy. If I thought I'd bought tickets for a certain night, I certainly wouldn't miss the event after paying $1,444 for them. Please consider this request.

Finally, a company who cares about people. I called Ticketmaster to find out if my tickets would be eligible for an exchange because we recently learned that my 19-year-old daughter had a life-threatening heart situation that would require surgery this week. I was fully expecting Ticketmaster to tell me NO, that I could not get an exchange, because my tickets had been purchased more than the 72 hour exchange policy they post. To my great surprise, I was advised that due to my extenuating circumstances, I would certainly be able to exchange the tickets for a different date, and if I needed, they would refund. This was a great surprise to me, and I really appreciate the people who are operating Ticketmaster because they care about the customer more than their profit bottom line. This is a rarity that you see these days. Thank you Ticketmaster for having a moral compass!!!

Ticketmaster and Live Nation are scamming customers at check out. Hidden in the terms is an automatic opt in to subscribe to Rolling Stone. They know what they are doing. It's a scam. I now have two Rolling Stone subscriptions (two different credit cards on the account, so they use one scam per credit card, and I already cancelled one two years ago.) They didn't response to my last request to cancel and refund my money. I've also noticed they rotate and automatic opt in to "donate" $1 or a few dollars to a more than likely fraudulent organization that goes straight into these criminals' pockets.

I would like to know how Ticketmaster are legally allowed to scalp their own tickets via their Resale site? Today I purchased tickets to a concert via a pre-sale code. I was lucky - but my friends were not. They missed out as the allocation was quickly used up. My complaint isn't there, it's that within three minutes of the tickets being available I found four up for sale on Ticketmaster Resale for approx 280% of retail value each. This is not what Ticketmaster advertise this site is for. It is proposed to be a legal place to sell your tickets if you can't make it etc. But it is clearly being used by scalpers to make cash. Would the same transaction outside the front of the venue be legal?

What's the point of the nav bar? The website is awful. They don't tell you that they won't allow you to print your ticket (my ticket) without installing the mobile app. In other words, they are trying to force me to install their mobile app by holding my tickets hostage. Customer support agreed, only their whole mantra is, "You didn't read the fine print, so it's on you." I will not be forced to install an app to receive a thing that I purchased.

I waited impatiently for the timer to hit 0 at 12 pm and immediately clicked for my tickets. The site gave me an error 5 times in a row before finally coming back with "No Tickets available". When I called to customer service, they bounced me around basically telling me that ticketmaster is not responsible for the errors on their own website, and that they will do nothing to help me get the tickets I was promised by them. To that, I take home that Ticketmaster does not care for their customers, and you're better off buying from someone else who will be responsible for their own site errors.

I really wish I had read through these reviews before purchasing tickets. Ticketmaster is such a scam. I have never purchased tickets from there before but have learned a lesson the hard way. Bought tickets for Paw Patrol in NYC, thinking they were VIP. I clearly filtered my search first by checking the VIP option. The only tickets That came up said resale which I never thought twice about being a first-time buyer. I bought the tickets for a hefty price thinking I was getting to meet cast afterwards. Well, when I printed out tickets nothing said VIP so I called Ticketmaster and they said I was in VIP section but because tickets were purchased resale I was not entitled to any VIP amenities (meet and greet and after party).
Seriously, I could have gone away on a mini vacation with my family for the price I paid. I hope someone reads this first. Do not buy resale tickets for Paw Patrol in VIP section because you are only paying for seats and nothing extra! The person who I bought these tickets from should be ashamed of themselves too for ripping off someone! The gentleman at Ticketmaster told me it states that on website on bottom in fine print! This was never mentioned at any point during the purchasing process. I emailed Ticketmaster upon receiving that email, but never heard anything back. They then contacted me several days after the event and apologized that there was nothing that they could do since the event had passed.
I was able to prove that I attempted to reach out as soon as I was notified about the obstructed view, which was a week before the event. They still said there was nothing that they could do. Not only could they not offer me any sort of discount or incentive to make up for any of the inconvenience, they offered no form of assistance whatsoever. Quite the opposite, actually. Every reply they came back with was that they had confirmed something that was, in fact, INCORRECT. I was able to prove differently, therefore their rebuttal was simply that there was nothing they could do. Very frustrating! Zero customer service!

I found a Live Nation pre-sale password for King Crimson at Massey Hall, Toronto and took the day off work to assure I'd get a decent pair of seats. Or so I thought. I Sat refreshing the screen for most of the day, watching each pair of prime, clicked-upon seats I reserved on the venue map disappear as the software refused to complete every transaction. (FYI: I have every combination of CAPTCHA verification images memorized now after viewing them multiple times throughout the day). Even "Find Seats for Me" without the map would not complete the requests.
By mid-afternoon I gave up refreshing and ordered by phone. Ticketmaster's voice recognition robot (not a human being as I'd hoped) offered me seats that were as far away from the band as you could get without actually standing outside the venue. Ticketmaster's antiquated software obviously can't handle the onslaught of scalper-bots for even an obscure, non-mainstream band like Crimson. "Limiting" tickets to 8 per buyer is a joke! The scalper-bots obviously scooped them up by the fistful and they started to appear online at StubHub within the first hour of sale for 2-5 times face value. I guess when you have a monopoly and a backroom deal with a resale service, you really don't have to give a damn. BUT: This has to stop.
Limit sales to pairs of seats, period. (At least it will make life difficult for professional resellers.) Update the pathetically inadequate, antiquated software to handle demand. Hire real human beings to answer the phone. Purchasers can only pick up tickets on the day of the event at the venue box office with ID proof that they are the purchaser. How difficult is that to allow true fans the opportunity to see their band or team at the fair retail price? Ticketmaster has successfully killed my desire to even attempt buying concert tickets again, and this is from someone who has been attending concerts since 1972. Nice job.

I had been looking forward to placing a presale order for Ed Sheeran tickets since last Wednesday (today is Monday). I signed on with my presale code and was all logged in a half hour prior to the event even starting, and I watched the timer clock countdown with bated breath. Finally it was time to purchase my tickets. I had resigned myself to buying the first set of tickets that came up, no matter where the seats were because I wanted to go that badly. I chose my section, input my credit card information, and waited for my confirmation page. The next screen was a blank white screen, save for the "By proceeding, you accept our terms and conditions" at the bottom of the page. There were, of course, no buttons to proceed, however the title of the page in the URL clearly said "Confirmation Page." I never received an email confirming my order, and it didn't show up in my account.
I tried just placing another order but, of course, now the pre-sale tickets were all sold out - in less than five minutes. I gave it a few minutes, figuring there might have been a delay, especially considering the craziness that probably accompanies an Ed Sheeran pre-sale, but after a half hour of double-checking, I decided to call. After over a half hour of waiting on hold, someone finally answered. She double-checked my credit card number that I used to place the order, the phone number I used for the order, and my email address. Nothing pulled up any orders of any sort. My card was never charged - there was never even an authorization submitted to request the charge from my credit card company.
And, on top of all of that, the customer service rep said that maybe it was my fault, that I had too many tabs open (four), that I input the card number wrong (nope), or that there were just too many people placing an order at the same time (shouldn't you be holding my seats and section for me specifically?). The best she could suggest was that I try again with the general public sale at the end of the week. Great. Crappier tickets for double the price. I had heard that Ticketmaster went down the toilet since that class-action lawsuit was won against them, but this just confirms it. This was supposed to be a gift for my birthday from my husband, and now all it is is a disappointment. Thanks for nothing, Ticketmaster.

The extra charges endorsed by Ticketmaster are nothing short of greed. The ticket will cost £155 plus £15 booking fee. It doesn't cost £15 to process a ticket so as my partner won’t be able to stand I am not paying this rip-off ticket handling charge (£30 for processing two tickets). Quite frankly I think it's suspicious that every time tickets go on sale, they sell out almost immediately, and are resold. I just received my tickets today (3 days before the event) and they were NOT the seats I ordered, they are on the side. I specifically wanted front facing seats. I asked them why they didn't contact me to let me know that the seller could not fulfill my order so that I could cancel and buy different seats and they said "that is not our policy".
I paid $70.00 per ticket for $48.50 seats plus $40.60 service fee, and $14.95 for delivery to Secure Tix. So if they didn't pay the seller, they collected $83.60 plus $14.95 shipping from me on $48 tickets, what a scam. I paid almost $200 for $48 tickets. Boatloads of resale tickets are available however, listed screen left, on the Ticketmaster website. I filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office. I received standing. T/LN responded with the usual BS. Their response avoids the issue of scalping resales altogether.
What we need is a citizens' movement blocking public funding for the venues that these events are being held in. If the public is called upon to guarantee bonds, pay for the necessary infrastructure and finally suffer the traffic inconvenience that building or remodeling stadiums entails, then the people deserve an orderly and honest system of purchasing the tickets necessary for attendance. Further, the voting public is entitled to a political class that aggressively follows up on complaints of obvious end runs around anti-scalping laws.

Tickets went on sale at 10 am sharp and I found myself at my computer at exactly that time feverishly selecting sections on the arena map hoping to get a pair of tickets for this hyped show. As time passed Ticketmaster said that other fans had beat me to tickets in that section and I quickly moved on to the next section again searching for a pair of the "best available" seats in that section. That was a mistake. As it turns out when I finally did get seats, 3 instead of 2 as I had requested, they were over $500 a seat. With Ticketmaster's additional $84 fee per seat my bill was in excess of $1600. Wow.
Ticketmaster has a policy that they will refund your purchase price for your tickets within 72 hours of your initial purchase which I did try to do later that evening. After being on hold in excess of 30 minutes the rather rude person on the other end of the phone informed me that I had purchased "resale" tickets and that their refund policy did not apply to resale tickets. I asked him how it was possible to purchase resale tickets within the first ten minutes of ticket sales. Who could possibly buy tickets in the first 5 minutes and then put them back up for resale at double the price so some unsuspecting sucker (me) would purchase them. The whole thing smacks me in the face with an undercurrent of dishonesty and corruption. What a monopoly scam this company is.
Please be wary when purchasing anything from this company and most certainly never ever select "best available seat" when ordering tickets. In fact I have found resale tickets on this site at a fraction of the cost that I paid for my "best available seats" that I scooped up during the frenzy of my initial purchase. I attempted to purchase Katt Williams tickets online on Ticketmaster.com for an event that is scheduled to take place on January 21, 2017 and was unable to do so from any of my personal devices. I attributed this issue to not being on an actual computer. I then tried to purchase tickets from my work computer and still was unable to do so. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes to speak to a representative, I purchased tickets on December 27, 2016 for my 10th Anniversary on January 19, 2017. I chose to have my tickets delivered to me through an email so that I could print the tickets and present them to my husband as his gift. The day before my anniversary I went to the email that I believed contained my tickets and found that there was nothing attached.
I called them again to try and get them to send me an email with the tickets attached. The representative told me that my tickets would be sent to me through an attachment on the January 19, 2017. Therefore I was unable to present the tickets to my husband on the day of our anniversary and still was unable to present them to him on the 19th because the tickets would not be released until exactly 48 hours prior to the event. This is unacceptable because I have purchased tickets through other websites that sent me my tickets immediately and I was able to print them immediately. I am unable to print them from my home because I will not be home when the tickets supposedly get to me.
I will say that the customer service representative that I yelled at on January 19th remained very calm and offered to have my tickets issued to me at Will Call free of charge and supposedly refunded me $35 which I am assuming were the fees associated with purchasing the tickets with them. We will see if those tickets are at Will Call or if I ever receive the refund. So I tried to print them, but could not. Phoned and went through what has become the standard delay tactics by bad companies who hope you will give up and go away. Rep said "oh, they are resale tickets" (which seemed to suggest that meant something, but he later said it was not relevant). He then said the tickets could not be printed until 48 hours before the event. He said that is to protect against scalping. That's rich, given that is exactly what Ticketmaster did to sell me the tickets.
Also, the website allows me to transfer or sell the tickets, which means I could "scalp" them, but I cannot print them until just before the event. I will be out of town to see the event, and thus it will be difficult to print them out just before the event. The rep just kept repeating nonsensical statements about how all of this was for my benefit. Shameful, but it's a company that doesn't care, and has no shame.

Christmas time 2016, we flew to Las Vegas. On the 28th of Dec. 2016, We bought 5 tickets for Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas. The tickets are listed for the night show of 29th Dec. 2016, we chose for eTicket delivery. Yet no eTickets were delivered. In the afternoon of 29th, I logged onto the Ticketmaster website trying to print my tickets. However it listed as past event and as a result I could not print out any tickets. I called Ticketmaster. After nearly one hour phone call, I was told the event agency communicated the wrong timing information and as a result it was listed as past, even though at the time of the phone call, the event is actually still ongoing, however Ticketmaster was not able to re-list it as on-going because of technical reasons. I was promised to get a refund.
On the 4th of Jan. 2017, I called Ticketmaster and was told they have sent a refund request to the event agency and cannot guarantee to refund me. On the 6th of Jan 2017, I again called Ticketmaster (after one corporate person left a message). The person was very impatient and condescending and did not appear to be aware of anything regarding this matter. She stated the ticket was valid for a year (which is completely not true). I spent another half hour on the phone explaining the whole situation.
In short, this is what went wrong with Ticketmaster: 1) Bad/no communication. There is no email sent after the purchase, no email acknowledging any of the communications/phone calls; There seems to be a lack of internal communication too. As a result, I have to explain the whole situation each time; the communication between Ticketmaster and the various agencies on whose behalf ticket master sells ticket is also very flawed, which caused the situation. 2) Denial of the multiple mistakes on their side. Each time, somebody would blame someone else, the agency, the customer... 3) Refusal/Reluctance of refund. Because of the various mistakes Ticketmaster makes, not only did I not get to go the event as planned, but I also had to spend hours on the phone trying to get a refund.
As of now, I have still yet to hear from Ticketmaster as for the refund request. As of our Vegas experience, we had to scrap our plan for that night after spending our precious time on the phone with Ticketmaster representative. Conclusion: Never use Ticketmaster again. You may spend money on tickets that Ticketmaster have no accurate information about and you will have to spend hours trying to get your money back for an event you cannot even go to.

I bought tickets from their website and instead of allowing me to choose my tickets, they chose them for me and I was not able to sit by the aisle for my mother who is claustrophobic. You are only able to see the seat information AFTER you put in your credit card information. Totally deceitful, unfair and unreasonable and said their resale tickets are posted by private and confidential owners and so I asked them to contact directly since I purchased from their website and they should assist or guarantee the satisfaction of the purchase. They would not even attempt to contact them to explain the situation and move our tickets only 4 seats down.

Ditto to everyone else's complaints on resale tickets. Purchased tickets and they were switched to a higher level. Called customer service and she admitted if you change tickets and hot refresh new tickets populate to purchase. What a scam. Paid $58.00 for a $20.00 ticket in nosebleed section. The ones who lose are the kids who wanted to see the Monster Jam up close. Placed on hold when asked to speak to a manager and never transferred. Shame on this company. Like other disappointed customers will share this story everywhere I can. Signed another good consumer getting screwed.

In a perfect example of no good deed going unpunished, I tried to buy five tickets for my out-of-state family to attend the Alamo Bowl this year. I'm not going to attend, but I wanted them to have great seats near other fans of our team. The online "map" to buy tickets was pretty wonky and kept stalling, so I downloaded and used the App for my phone. I found a great set of seats, all sitting together in the upper club section (perfect for my 78-year-old mother). Going back and forth between my computer and the App, I confirmed that these seats were the best deal I could find and would put my family squarely on the PAC-12 side of the field (our team side). The "map" on my laptop was horrible at updating, so I chose to buy the tickets on the App.
Important note: at no time did I ever click (to open) on any section of seats on the other side of the field or stadium: why would I? That's where the BIG-12 side of the field is. Ok. So I selected the club level seats on our side (clicked on the correct seats in that section), and reviewed the price (and "service charge") and purchased them! Great. I was so happy. I sent my family the good news. We were all thrilled - for 2 minutes. When I received the confirmation email, the section where the seats were was completely different from where I had been looking - and right in the middle of the BIG-12 side of the field. I IMMEDIATELY called Ticketmaster, assuming they could just cancel the transaction (as it had only been a few minutes), and I could repurchase the tickets I thought I was purchasing.
Apparently, that is impossible! In order to achieve such a reasonable result, I would have to prove that their computer system made a mistake and not me. (Interesting shift of the burden of proof.) I demanded to talk to a supervisor, who discussed the matter with me and told me he would call me back when he got a "report" from the system on my transaction. I insisted that he call me back within the hour so I could deal with the transaction with my credit card company if I needed to. (All of this was after an hour on the phone and being on-hold in between being transferred around.) While I waited, I called my credit card company to discuss my options, as clearly this was not what I intended to purchase. (Short version: I can dispute the charge, but that will take 30 days, and the tickets are for an event in 14 days.)
So. The Ticketmaster "supervisor" did not CALL back. Instead, he somehow "sent" a voicemail (which never rang on my phone) saying that the "report" indicated that I had always been in the section in which the tickets I received are located. If I want to discuss the matter, please call back - to the main, root line - not even to his extension or department. Fascinating, considering that I never opened that section, or even that side of the stadium. Why would I? If their App is so touchy as to create that possibility (without me having any idea that was what was going on), perhaps the problem is with their system. This thought reminded me of the first question I was asked by "customer service": did you see an error message or have a problem with your order? Funny. You'd have thought they might have debugged that system before setting it in motion with real money and consequences.
$817 worth of tickets. My Christmas present to my out-of-state family members! To be clear, I am not a computer neophyte: I spent the first part of my career developing and writing computer software/code, so I understand how to move around a screen and properly point-and-click - complicated as that might be with an App (website) like this one. Oh. The "supervisor" also mentioned (on the unreturnable voicemail) that maybe I can re-sell the wrong tickets to someone else on the site. So. I looked into that. Funny thing about that: once you "own" the tickets, Ticketmaster charges you an additional "service" charge to sell them, which gets added onto the ticket price, ensuring that the price for YOUR tickets are now more than other tickets in the same area (unless you choose to take a substantial loss on your "sale" price). This is assuming anyone buys the tickets in an area that is not optimal viewing.
Mind you, this is - apparently - the ONLY way to buy tickets for this event, which is why the company does not seem to care one iota about the slew of horrible reviews on sites like Yelp. I'll make sure to reiterate my experience on as many review sites as I can find. Apparently, that is my only recourse. Now, unless I find another sucker to buy my tickets, my family will now be standing in row 11 of the end-zone, in the midst of the other teams fans during the bowl game they have been waiting 10 long years (yes, we are CU fans!) to see, when they should have had a wonderful view from the Club Level on our side of the field. Welcome to modern capitalism. I did not attempt to do this on the cheap. I paid full price, and I got fully screwed!

Ticketmaster are allowing people to sell ticket at any price they want because they label it as platinum ticket. I ended up buying these platinum ticket online @ 175 each & didn't know they come with no perks. I called to find out that there were no perks with these tickets. But they have standard tickets in the same section same & same row that can be bought @ $60. They say these tickets are not resale ticket but are selling at resale prices. Very disappointing as a customer.

DO NOT PURCHASE RESALE TICKETS FROM Ticketmaster!!! I just bought two tickets to the Dierks Bentley concert for my wife on February 3rd, 2017 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta at an (unknowingly) over inflated price! After realizing this, I looked up their refund policy on their website which said 72 hours (so I thought)... I called Ticketmaster for a refund. After spending two hours on the phone with them, I am forced to take the hit for double what they are worth!!!
Their excuse is that the tickets are non-refundable because they are seller to seller... My only option is to relist the tickets on THEIR website in hopes that someone will purchase them... Here's the kicker... When the person before me listed them, they (Ticketmaster) added an extra amount per ticket for their "fees"... When I relisted them, they also added a $70 fee PER TICKET... So now they are making $140 plus what they charged the person before me off of the AUTOMATED transactions from their website... Seller to seller yet they have made probably $140 off the person I ended up buying them from, and another $140 off me... Crooks!!! No empathy whatsoever from them... If you are in the market for any tickets to an event, DO NOT use Ticketmaster resale!!! You are better off going with StubHub Canada... At least they are transparent with their prices and policies and won't bend you over...

I purchased four tickets through TicketExchange by Ticketmaster for a Winnipeg Jets VS New York Rangers hockey game. I assumed I was paying face value for these tickets which ended up costing me well over $800. Only when I finally opened my e-mail from Ticketmaster in order to print off my tickets did I find out that face value for these tickets was $129 each. On top of the $50 mark up there was a ridiculous $130 service fee (who knows what that's for). In the end I essentially got ripped off for over $250. Had I known they are able to mark up resold tickets as well as charge you a bogus service fee, I would have avoided Ticketmaster all together. I strongly advise not using TicketExchange by Ticketmaster. Only people on classified sites like Kijiji and people reselling on social media will get my business from now on. Hugely disappointed.

I was on hold for almost 2 hours and then had to leave. Never did get through. Their system crashed due to so many people trying to get tickets at the same time and it just left us hanging to wait to try and get tickets with no explanation. When the system locks up due to too many people trying to get tickets at one time instead of just let people hanging for literally hours, you need to have some type of warning come up stating system has crashed.

Purchased tickets for Paul McCartney for two people handicapped for $250 plus $40 for front row floor seats. Went to the venue and the tickets we picked up at the office wasn't the seats I purchased, they were far from front row and weren't even on the floor. I then complained at the venue and was told to contact Ticketmaster. Contacted Ticketmaster and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Contacted The BBB and free MONTHS of trying to solve the problem they said they couldn't help me cause Ticketmaster doesn't belong to their company. The website isn't easy to use. It could use an update. Search for tickets, find right event date, time, place; then you enter how many tickets and type. Then click to prove you're not a robot and then try to figure out the map to see where you'll be sitting or standing before the timer runs out. Purchase tickets putting in email, credit card, name, and address before timer goes off. Or you have to search for tickets again. I wish the site was easier to use.

I have recently purchased tickets and contacted Ticketmaster immediately afterwards in order to change the tickets for the following day (December 10th). Ever since, I am in contact with Customer Care: they are telling me that the tickets were exchanged and that I have access to them. As of yesterday, they are telling me that I had actually printed the, But there was never any print option, except for the receipt. Here is Customer Care's response: "Thank you for reaching out to us. Glad to assist you today! Sorry to hear of your troubles with printing your exchanged tickets. We checked your account and order, we see that you were finally able to print on November 11, 2016. We hope you enjoy the show." Here is my response to it: "I am sorry, but where did you see that I could print any tickets on November 11th???" I COULDN'T!!!
Again, I am attaching screenshots just taken now. Please look at them carefully. There is ONLY a "print receipt" option when I log into the www ticketmaster webpage. No "print tickets" option anywhere to be found. And, again, if I am using the app (please look at the first screenshot) on my phone: the ticket order has been canceled by you and not exchanged. I give you one more shot at fixing this, then I will have to cancel these virtual tickets that are not accessible to me, and hence worthless to me."

I had to give 1 star because there's no option for no stars. I ordered tickets to TobyMac with extra $10 for parking pass. No pass was in my package. First they tell me that they don't do that, then she said it's there ready to print. They told me I could pay again and get pass which I wouldn't do because already paid. Then they asked for order number and when I gave it, the next email from them said I gave wrong number, which I reviewed my email and had given correct number. Many back and forth emails stating different information every time.
You'd think a lucrative company would just issue the pass especially since I paid almost $200. They offended me, talked down to me and each email from different employees gave information that contradict the prior one. This company must've gotten too big since they have so many bad reviews. Someone high up needs to see what's happening in customer service. I mean just look at how many people they've done wrong. I will never use them again. I'll even pay extra if I have to. I have a lot of money so it's not about the ten bucks, it's the principle. I have string of emails should management needs them.
