I looked on Ticketmaster this morning for day V Fest day tickets but to find nothing. Do not tell me you have sold out already because I was very interested in going this year and it's very frustrating that I got waited in the queue for a long time since 9 am this morning. I was really looking forward to it as never been before. What do I have to do to get cheaper tickets first, because I have not got a great job right now and I'm not great at wanting to pay a large amount of money. Please could you get back to me as soon as possible about any solutions of what I can do for next time.

Deceptive method of tricking people into mistakenly opting in to pay for ticket insurance. It's a bad trick on internet users to make them buy the insurance that they can cancel in 10 days if they notice that it happened. Poor methods of canceling the insurance, email address do not have incoming status. Must phone or use another email address to cancel the insurance packages. I was charged $8 insurance on a $20 ticket. This is a scam, bad trick to try to play on people when buying tickets. Shame on you.

The customer service team is slow to respond when you have questions. Even when they do finally get to you, they seem to not have sense of their own policies or how to be problem solvers. I would not recommend using Ticketmaster, especially as there are so many better options out there.

I tried to purchase tickets for Cirque du Soleil. I tried for over an hour online and by phone. Online would not let me setup an account. Said I was already in system. I have never used Ticketmaster before!! So fine. I tried to get "forgotten" password. They ask for the credit card number they have on file. Pretty hard to do when you've never dealt that them before. Tried my one credit card number. It did not work. Hope nothing got charged to it. I need to check that. Phone sales are no better. They say the calls are too many, use the automatic system and then they hang up if you don't go to the automatic express. So there is no one to answer questions. The automatic phone system is a long process - not fun. I had to purchase tickets from Ticketmates.com. Very easy process.

Ticketmaster has screwed me out of $110 dollars when I sold tickets through their site. Keep telling me I have to verify accounts before they can send me my money. Plus they keep hanging up on me when I call to try to get my money. They didn't have verify anything to take my money when I paid for them in the first place. WONT PAY, TYPICAL BIG BUSINESS CROOKS!!

I had waited for weeks for these tickets to go on sale. I was waiting at my computer the second they went on sale and when the option to buy opened, I clicked to select my tickets. At that time I realized that they had turned off the map so you couldn't choose the seats that you want, NO, you have to take what seat they want to put you in! I don't want to sit where Joe ** wants me to sit, I want to sit in a seat that I prefer and I want to pay for. I'm paying for the seat, I should be able to choose where I sit!
After waiting all that time, I didn't even get tickets and it was only because they kept offering me seats that I didn't want. "NO, you can't sit where you want, let me shove this ticket down your throat and you tell me how it tastes!" I realize fully that there are a lot of people that want tickets but at least leave the freaking seat map on so that people have some sort of input into what they are paying for.

Do not buy tickets on Ticketmaster... I know hard to do but when you see the blue dots available for the tickets of the seats you want to purchase the tickets that are chosen for you are not what you clicked on. I wanted aisle seats for my family. Young kids didn't want to interrupt fans when my kids wanted the concession stands or bathrooms. Well ticketmaster gave me seats right in the bloody middle of the row. Thanks! I did not or would not pick these tickets. They tell you to pick YOUR tickets but you don't get what you picked.
Sorry, I am not an usher at the venue nor do I know where all the sections, rows, and seats are. So please check your tickets to make sure when you purchase your tickets they match what you picked when choosing your seats. I have had nothing but problems with this arrogant, monopolized company for basically my entire life. Just be careful people, this is a company without any morals.

Last year tried to buy Jimmy Buffett tickets online with Ticketmaster. It took over 4 hours to set up an account and buy tickets. It had been years since I went to a concert and thought it was way more trouble than it was worth. I enjoyed the show. This year about the same thing happened only this time after going through hell to even get to the point of "purchasing" tickets they kept coming back saying my card was no good then the tickets were bought by someone else and I missed out on the seats I wanted.
Called the credit card company and they said three times my purchase was approved but the Ticketmaster bank declined my card not Chase Visa. Now I have to fight the three charges and still did not purchase tickets. I am done with this monopoly and will never ever buy tickets from Ticketmaster again. Remember when you could drive around the block and walk up to a counter and buy tickets and they handed you your tickets right then? Ah the good old days.

I ordered three tickets to Monster Jam at AT&T Stadium for February 13, 2016 event. I ordered online on 02/12/2016. I was offered e-tickets (wanted to print at home vs waiting in line). I was given that option. I paid my $158.00 with taxes, fees, etc... I immediately went to Ticketmaster site to print my e-tickets. NOPE!!! Not happening. I call help line, 1-800-653-8000. I wait 34 minutes on hold. I hang up. I call back. I wait 15 minutes on hold. Ross answers. Ross talks through me and not to me. I explain to Ross that I ordered e-tickets and went with Ticketmaster because they have e-tickets, versus one of the 10 other resellers. He said, "Sorry you can't buy tickets the day before and expect e-tickets." I asked Ross "Why was I given the option and why does my receipt say: You have selected e-tickets." In red letters, when I go to print my e-ticket: You will have to Will Call at the event and wait in line to get your tickets!!!
I was attempting to avoid waiting in a long line at the event. I used Ticketmaster because they advertised the e-ticket now. I will NEVER use this Ticketmaster site again. I will inform all online and in my employer email group of my SAD experience and hope no one else falls for Ticketmaster bait and switch. Disappointed with this company to the max...

I went to buy six tickets for an event as soon as tickets went on sale. Every time I selected how many tickets I needed and searched for seats I got an error. Not a specific error such as "six adjacent seats no longer available in section" or anything, just an error. So I went to order over the phone. The automated phone service also gave me an error message after I went through the extremely long and dull process of waiting on the automated voice to finally get where I needed to be to buy tickets. I called again and went through the same long wait only to hear a total $63 over expected. Come to find out that it was due to the extra fees. Seems a little steep to me. But I was unaware at the time why it was coming to that total.
So I called the phone number that connects you to an actual human to purchase tickets from only to get a busy signal. Then I realized that phone number only connects you to someone on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm or some other range of hours on Sat and Sun only. I guess speaking to representatives is an activity typically reserved for weekends? So I then called the customer service number only to get another busy signal. Not sure about why I got a busy signal that time, triple checked the phone number I dialed and it was correct. So I called a friend (someone not even attending the show) to purchase them for me using my card and she managed to get the tickets as easily as I had anticipated that I would be able to. Turns out there weren't seats available in the largest section despite tickets having just gone up for sale literally minutes prior.
If Ticketmaster had prompted me with that information then I would have been able to adjust accordingly. It took literally an hour to finally get from my alarm going off as a reminder to purchase tickets till the time tickets were actually purchased. The experience was so bad that I will not use Ticketmaster again. I was designated ticket purchaser since I would be the only one at home and able to do so. Ticketmaster made me seriously worry that I would have to let down five of my friends. At least that didn't happen, but Ticketmaster still let one person down today.

Went online to buy tickets for a kids' event at Seattle Center. After selecting 3 tickets @$85 each, I was directed step after grueling step to get to the point where I could print my tickets at home ($2.50 fee, the least expensive option). By the time I got to the end, my bill was $311, a whopping $56 over the inflated ticket prices! When I wanted to print my tickets, I was told to check my inbox for the code which would enable me to print the tickets. Unbeknownst to me and despite the fact that 4 previous emails that I received during the ordering process went into my inbox, the printing code went into my junk folder, so after repeated attempts to print using the order number, my login password and so on, I was then locked out of my account! By now 25 minutes had elapsed trying to buy 3 tickets.
Next I was forced to call their so-called 'customer service line'. When first picking up I had to finagle through the usual corporate BS automated phone services to get in line for an actual human. The automator told me it would be a 15 minute hold for a live person. I was on hold for 34 minutes before being connected to a live person. Another 10 minutes and he sent an email where I was able to successfully print my (now) $103 tickets.
When I voiced my complaint about the junk folder and the unbelievable wait time and asked for a refund of their service charges, the rep told me they could not refund any part of my purchase, because it was my mistake. I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THESE PIECES OF GARBAGE AGAIN. I would rather forgo an event than put another nickel into the pockets of these money grubbing corporate scumbags. Now we know why socially conscious bands like Pearl Jam refuse to perform at venues that use these worthless cretins and their poorly designed online ticket purchasing platform.

After advertising tickets at $17.50 for the UniverSoul Circus, I went on Ticketmaster to order the tickets... and was hit with ridiculous service charges. This is, of course, after I had tried several times to even get to the site that would allow me to buy the $17.50 tickets. I finally had a call back from a UniverSoul Circus staff to call me back and direct me on how to purchase these tickets. Not sure what happened, but I "to my recollection," purchased tickets for February 10, 2016 and it said to print your tickets two days prior.
Well, today, when I went online to print my tickets, it said I had purchased tickets for the week prior, February 3, 2016... Needless to say, my family missed the $102.05 event and were told that we couldn't get a refund. The automated service that Ticketmaster has is one of the most horrendous things I've ever had to deal with. Customer service is definitely not a virtue for them. I hate that they are a monopoly and one of the main sources for buying tickets. I wish I could say I would never use them again, but likely, I will have to. It's quite unfortunate because I don't have an extra $102.05 and my children will miss the circus this year.

Ordered 4 tickets, when I wanted to print out I needed a special code. The code was suppose to be emailed right away but of course it was not, just 2 hours later. As I was try to use my order number as a code it suspended my account, now I'm on the phone for 2 hour to try to log in. Every other place let you print out your ordered and paid for ticket right away. Not the Ticketmaster, after paying a 100% over the price of ticket in fees. The Ticketmaster should be investigated as a criminal enterprise convicted and should get a death sentence. People will be celebrating when this will happen.

I have been using Ticketmaster for years and other than their crazy fees, have never had an issue. For Christmas I gave Mumford and Sons tickets to my nieces and nephews. It said a limit of 4 but I assumed that was blocks. I ordered two for one family and three for the other. This was November. In January, Ticketmaster sent me a message saying that I had violated the limit and they cancelled my 5th ticket. Only they cancelled one of the two, leaving one person to sit alone.
I have sent five emails requesting they either put all 4 together or split in into two + two seats together. The responses have been canned and ridiculous. The toll-free number has been busy for over a week. No one wants to help. This is the worst service I have ever received and hate that they are one of the only options to order from. Merry Christmas to my family. Not sure how to break this news to them. I went to get the order numbers and now I am showing two sets of three tickets for a total of 6 tickets. I have no idea what is going on. No communication from them and if they charge my card for extra tickets, it will be fraudulent. I am fed up.

Is it right to advertise a ticket price that does not exist and then add multiple fees that more than double the starting list price? I purchased two tickets for the Union VS RPI college hockey game for 1/23/2016 in Albany NY at the Times Union Center. I went to the Times Union Center website, which then sent me to the Ticketmaster website to make the purchase. Tickets are listed for $8 for children, but after I started the transaction they add a $2 facility fee. Don't you have to go to the facility to see the game? So the ticket starting price is $10. Right? Even my ticket stub says $10. There are NO $8 tickets, so how can they list them at that price? Then they charged a $4.55 fee per ticket, which was disclosed AFTER I started the purchase process. Ok... They have to make money. A little high relative to the $8 base ticket, but I understand and accepted the price of the online purchase.
AFTER I submitted to purchase the tickets, yet another fee appeared! A processing fee was applied that I did not see coming. What is going on? The $8 ticket, ended up as $16.50. More than double the list price. I know it does not sound like much and if they just listed the price for $16.50 from the start, I would not even be writing this complaint. Ticketmaster did send me an email that I could print the ticket from my own printer for free. Wow! Thanks Ticketmaster! I understand fees and the service they provide adds to the cost of the event. The bottom line is you can't purchase the tickets for $8, so just list the price it costs me to attend the event! After the final processing fee, I felt like the entire transaction was a scam.
I have heard complaints about Ticketmaster in the past and now I know why. And as far as the Times Union Center, they should be embarrassed to only sell their tickets through Ticketmaster. I guess they get a kickback too from Ticketmaster, so they are just as guilty. How do I know this? I sent Ticketmaster an email on my thoughts of this transaction. They responded with a cut and paste response they must send out to all the complaints they receive. The response also includes the five factors of the "anatomy of a ticket purchase." Are you kidding me? Who cares about the "anatomy of a ticket purchase?" How about the final price, upfront without any surprises to see the event?

I went online to buy tickets and received a pop up stating my password was incorrect and so submitted for a password change. I received the change password email, followed the instruction and received a pop up stating I had not requested a password change. I went through the process again... And again only to receive another pop up to delete my old information and so I did. After a few more attempts, I get a pop up telling me to call customer service and I do only to be put on hold to be eventually told the office was closed and was provided a number to call to purchase tickets. I dial the number only to be told that the sales office is closed. Really??? 45 minutes later, I still have no tickets and I guess will invest who knows how much time tomorrow to try once again to get tickets. Sheesh! On Nov 16, 2015 I logged in to Ticketmaster with 2 presage codes for Justin Bieber tickets. As soon as 10 am hit, I used the fan club and the Ellen presale codes and accessed the presale page. Under the time constraint that you are given for purchasing and seeing a list of links to click on, I accessed tickets that were $780.00 each for Section A on the floor. Thinking these prices were the presale prices and that all other tickets would be priced accordingly, I purchased them.
After the transaction was complete, I logged in again curious to see if I was able to get in, but thinking the presale would be sold out. I was able to click a link for presage tickets and was able to buy 2 tickets on the floor in Section E for $122 each. How is Ticketmaster able to price tickets during a presale at such huge prices and then drop prices when general admission tickets went on sale at the end of the week? The automated prompt system is absolutely terrible. So much so that my family and I have gone out of our way to buy tickets by any other means. If it means not seeing a gig because Ticketmaster is the only option, we often simply without going to the gig. Sometimes there is just someone so amazing that we are forced to have to buy tickets through them. It is excruciating. Why is it too much to ask to speak with a representative? Considering the service fees charged it would seem that there SHOULD be some sort of "service" available. I have tried to buy tickets online today, there seems to be one ticket left and it won't be released for some reason. Boy, I wish I could buy it. I'll bet the venue who contracted Ticketmiser would like to know that fans are being "served". Again, I will simply go without seeing this gig. TM sucks.

I purchased two tickets online at ticketmaster.com as a Christmas present. I read through the whole website about how to transfer the tickets to someone else and it was suppose to be a very easy process. Only after I had purchased the tickets did I discover that the tickets I bought were not transferable. So I called customer service to try to get the delivery address changed so the tickets could be sent directly to the person I bought them for. They would not do that either. Using the excuse that it is for security purposes that they will only send to the billing address of the person who purchased the tickets.
What a bunch of **! As the cardholder I should be able to have a purchase send anywhere I want. Every other online business can seem to manage this Very simple task! After seeing that my estimated completion was 40 min... 30 min... 40 min... 10 min... 45 min... I received the final notice that the tickets were sold out at 10:45. Surprisingly I then went on five different secondary ticket sales websites and amazingly all of them had tickets to the show ranging in cost from $350 per ticket to $750 per ticket. Why doesn't Ticketmaster just state that you don't have a hope in he-- of getting tickets for a popular event so don't bother trying. It's obvious that whatever blocks of tickets they were allocated were immediately sold to secondary marketers at significant markup.

The order just kept saying timed out. 30 minutes after giving up I got a notice from my bank $1500 has been in processing from Ticketmaster. At this point I still haven't received ticket. They don't show up in my account. So I called. The explanation I got was they place a temp hold on the funds until transaction is complete.
If transaction doesn't compete which based on all info they asked if me they said there were no orders showing up so I will get all my money back Saturday night. Here I am Monday still not a dollar refunded. So called Ticketmaster. Their new response is that I'm lying because no orders were processed so I shouldn't be charged. But I have 4 completed charges from them. No longer pending. Now complete and they have no tickets for me and the rep said, "well nothing we can do for you." You have to have the tickets and they refuse to refund me the $1200+ dollars they charged me based on their website timing out.

Instead, it demanded that I keep selecting their pre-formatted options until there were no more options. IOW it was a dead end with no way to email them a question. I called the published customer service number. During the automated greeting, I pressed 0, and it hung up. I called back and tried not saying anything. The IVR said, "Let's try this a different way... goodbyeee!"
To help others, here's how I managed to speak to someone: I cooperated obediently, subserviently with our TM master. I answered the automated questions, and kept saying "Something else". Finally they transferred me to a CSR, who was actually a pretty nice guy. I can't imagine working Customer Service for Ticketmaster. Imagine the irate callers they get due to TM's callous website and IVR experience. So I was extra polite to the man. I would ask others to do the same. He straightened out the problem. I'm guessing there must be an inverse correlation between their level of customer (rock bottom) and their corporate officers' annual compensation ($$$). We need to break TM's semi-monopoly.

Most of the time you have to go to 3rd party sites to get tickets because they say they are sold out immediately. I recently had a horrible experience with Ticketmaster and the organizers of a festival that took place in my city. For the second year in a row, the festival pass system was non-functional and overcomplicated, and paying customers like myself were not able to get full value out of the prices offered. Several repeated attempts at getting help from the festival organizers got me only "tough luck" responses. One response even acknowledged that their pass system was convoluted and would need to be fixed, but would offer no further assistance. Several attempts at contacting Ticketmaster got me... no response at all!
I thought it only fair that I should write about my experience on their fan review page. It was a rational and balanced review laying out the problems I had and how disappointed I was with the treatment I received. I even pointed out what I thought were the positive aspects of the festival. Several days pass and I notice the review is not going up. I contacted their customer care, who informed me they were "not able to process my request." So I wrote a second review, and once again, never saw it go up. A second email to customer service and... no response! So from what I gather, Ticketmaster is completely indifferent to the issues of their paying customers over completely legitimate concerns, offer zero customer service, and then blocks any reviews criticizing their indifference and lack of customer service. Top notch, honest company!

Ticketmaster is a company who allows other companies to hide behind their name and screw you as a consumer. I'm a single mother and it's a little embarrassing especially when I have read so many stories of other consumers experiencing problems on a larger scale (price wise anyways). Disney on Ice is here in Atl Oct 7-11. It's the 10th I'm purchasing tickets and not giving the option to use promotional code. There isn't anything they can do or will do about it because they didn't offer the coupon, a promoter did and it isn't valid. They then went on to say that these promoters and local agencies use their names on flyers and posters illegally. That the coupon I received at a local store was created without their knowledge or authorization.
And when I explained that that isn't fair and deceitful (and I think they are full of), she said they are cracking down it. Then tried to tell me to read fine print which I did to her on phone. It says restrictions apply on one of the sentences so she ran with that and I asked what possible restrictions could apply and the only day the coupon was good for. Long story short I couldn't use the coupon. I spent way more than I wanted or had but I promised my daughter we would go. Deceitful tactics, unfair advertising! I don't know a lot about laws but if it's in writing and it's being advertised, and you're the customer service rep on the other end as well as the payment collector for the service, then you have to stand behind it or do something about it. Where's customer appreciation or satisfaction? Or maybe they don't have a mission statement.

Now granted I should have checked the tickets more closely when I printed them but I did see the seat numbers were next to each other. I never even thought there would be an issue with it being in different rows.
I think this is a scam by Ticketmaster as well as the premium seats always being gone and being redirected to their "stub hub" site at much higher prices to get the consumer to buy higher priced tickets. My fiance and I were looking for tickets for an upcoming concert in Pittsburgh a week before it was taking place. When I went onto Ticketmaster's website on our desktop computer to search for tickets, the only two tickets that were available were resale tickets. We NEVER purchase resale because it's known that people jack the prices up to make a profit, but after continued searching and multiple attempts to find face value tickets through Ticketmaster and affiliated websites (TicketsNow, PromoWest) we were at a dead end and the ONLY tickets available were the ones we purchased. How do I know this? Because as soon as we bought them, I called my brother who wanted to come with us, and he found ZERO tickets for sale on Ticketmaster and was bummed.
So of course one would think the show is sold out right? NOPE! Not even 36 hours after we bought the resale tickets and paid DOUBLE the face value, I get an e-mail from Ticketmaster saying there are tickets available for the same show, same date, and same venue. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! I tried to click on the 'Buy from Map' option multiple times to buy face value tickets, but the general admission section was grayed out and it wasn't even possible to click on it. I called Ticketmaster's customer service number to complain and state that they basically tricked me into thinking that the show was sold out and if I didn't purchase those tickets when I did, we wouldn't be going. I was told that because they were resale tickets there was nothing they could do for me. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything. I was just asking them to credit half of what I paid since they forced me into buying resale tickets.
The manager said that they 'don't have the option to edit the purchase' since they were basically a third party in the sale. She then proceeded to apologize for my frustration and continued to state that it may have been my fault that I purchased those tickets by clicking "resale tickets only". WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD SEARCH FOR RESALE TICKETS ONLY?!!! I'm not new to buying event tickets. I've been buying concert and sports tickets for the last 10 years of my life so I think I know how to search for face value tickets and resale tickets. I also think that I'm not dumb enough to search for resale tickets if there are normal tickets available.
Needless to say, I didn't get anything out of my phone call other than an apology which means absolutely nothing to me at this point because I wasted money for no reason. I will never, EVER purchase tickets from Ticketmaster again after this and I will make sure every single person I know will know of this stunt they pulled on me. I was not given an option to purchase better tickets. It automatically offered the resale tickets first. It stated there was no more tickets available in the venue which encouraged me into purchasing resale tickets. I thought maybe those were the only tickets available until I logged into TM using my desktop. I immediately noticed there were better seats available for the same price as I paid for the resale tickets.
I contacted a customer representative in regards to this matter and I was told I could not exchange the tickets for better seats because they were resale tickets. I only purchased them because it state there were not more seats available in the venue. This was the only option given to me. I don't know what's going on but this seems like a scam of some sort. The only thing the representative could offer was for me to use a desktop next time. The representative also said I can resale my tickets, which will not benefit me at all if no one buys them. At concert June 20th, the seats were directly aside the stage, with the band's speakers obstructing any view of the interior stage, other band performers, and video displays. The website gave impression seats were further out from stage. Tickets were overpriced by at least two hundred dollars for obstructed seats. Ushers at Heinz Field had been offering Floor Seats to others in our Section, 208, as they advised the band was unhappy with the view from these side sections. But we were too late to get such an offer, and all available Floor Seats were taken. These Sections, 208 and 237, should not have been made available for sale, due to their poor location, or the stage should have been moved back further toward the end zone.
When I complained to Ticketmaster 6-21-15, they said they were unaware of any issues, or that the band or Heinz Field had reported any issues with Sections 208 or 237 (the other side section across the stadium). When I complained again, they failed to reply. Heinz Field also failed to reply to my complaint on 6-22-15. We paid over $3,200.00 for 6 tickets and got fraudulently deceived by Ticketmaster. This review is for the Seattle Sounders ticket-buying experience through Ticketmaster, which is the official way to buy Sounders tickets online. The morning of game day, I purchased two tickets that were being resold by other customers. Ticketmaster verifies all ticket resales, so that seemed safe. I was not able to download my tickets after waiting an hour, so I called customer service. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I reached a representative, who couldn't fix the problem himself, so he said that specialists would look into it and call back within 20 minutes. I never got a call. I called back an hour later and waited on hold, listening to obnoxious elevator music for another 15 minutes. After explaining the situation to a new representative, she told me that she couldn't fix the problem, but that she might be able to refund the cost, if I waited on hold again. I was not interested in this option, since I was already at the stadium.
I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor assured me that she would take care of the situation and call me back at least half an hour before game time. She confirmed my cell phone number. Needless to say, I received no call (until after the game had already started). I finally got my tickets by waiting in a long customer service line at the stadium and explaining the situation to a representative in person. By this time, I had missed 15 minutes of the game, including an important goal. So my advice is to be careful of buying tickets that are being resold. Even if verified by Ticketmaster, they are not necessarily trustworthy.

So I asked for a complete refund of the purchase since I did not want to pay the full asking price (which was marked up 30%). The person I spoke with told me that because I purchased these tickets "re-sale" I am unable to get a refund for the tickets.
When I hit the submit button, nowhere did I see information or anything saying resale tickets are not eligible for a refund or promo codes or I would not have purchased them in the first place. After speaking with a supervisor about this, I was basically told it is my own fault for not reading the policies. It is really just a lesson learned that I will never ever use them again or recommend Ticketmaster to anyone. They are eager to collect their fees and commissions to sell you the tickets but when you need help, they claim there is nothing they can do. I will never use Ticketmaster ever again. :(

Just like a previous poster for the first time I was prompted with this protector option. It highly encouraged me to select yes (bold letters, plus the literal words of encouragement), and there doesn't seem to be much information around what it is, nor about the charge (am sure it's buried somewhere). Anyway, I have no idea what it does but after the fact was charged $8 per ticket (on $50 dollar baseball tickets). I blame myself I guess as I should have never trusted Ticketmaster in that this was something positive. So as I have been once bitten, I hope everyone else is twice shy. I'm yet to get an email from the 'insurance' company about what this actually does. Perhaps it protects me if there is a tornado in downtown Toronto because we get a lot of them :P.

I recently booked tickets through Ticketmaster (TM) and I have two issues with their system - 1. Tried to book family ticket for rugby event and did not like the location but would not allow my children into certain areas because they are not getting full adult price / refused me kids' tickets to only two areas (obviously crap seats). 2. After reluctantly purchasing tickets in this area I confirmed my 132 charge only to receive another separate email from Alliance that I had "opted in" for event insurance (I've done nothing of the sort). They charged my cc 16.95 and I tried to contact TM but they have zero contact details on circular contact information and FAQs.
In my book this is another scam by large company and I certainly did not opt in but it clearly states it's opt in, not opt out. I went back in to mock order more tickets and at no point does it have opt in options for event insurance. A rather peed off Ticketmaster customer. Sad part is they have a monopoly on event tickets - disgraceful.

Then the lady sitting next to us stated she needed 2 seats when she had only purchased 1. After trying to get a hold of someone and told there was nothing they could do, a person with the event moved my group to a different section and my daughter couldn't see at all. I was also told by Ticketmaster that if we wanted the original seats back that only 2 were available, when I paid for 3... My daughter was very unhappy and it wasn't even worth going to.

I then sent an email saying if I can get a refund on the ticket that was recently purchased. Turns out someone got my information and used my account. They replied two days later "sorry the tickets were sold from another person that has got them and resold them" so I was on my own. ** that. Why would I spend 200$ on Taylor swift tickets. They then emailed me a day later saying I can put them up for sale. I checked on their website it says full refund after 72 hrs after purchase. I told them that and not have got a reply. I was basically robbed now 200$ less with nothing I can do. I have told them I wanted my account deleted no reply either. I took my form of payment off and I'm never going to use them again. Went to Fairgrounds and at venue attempted to get tickets. The guy after at least 10 minutes on computer and phone gave me a number to Ticketmaster, and said I needed to call them and ask them to release tickets to will call. After 10 plus minutes on hold I gave up and went home. I will never use Ticketmaster again!

There aren't enough curse words, middle fingers, vile gestures or angry emoticons in the universe to illustrate the utter and complete disgust I have for Ticketmaster. Tickets on sale at 10 am.... Sold out at 10:02. Repeatedly for YEARS. You have to prove you're not a robot by selecting photos now but by the time you are done telling them you're not a robot, the event is sold out. How is Ticketmaster the only game in town? And how are the resellers not price gouging with their nosebleed seats at 4 times the face value?

I had ordered 3 Vans Warped Tour tickets, one month in advance. Tickets had cost around $36. I received an email saying that I was charged around 100 bucks, which made sense. I did not print my tickets immediately because you figured with my luck I'd misplace them so I waited till the night before to print them off. At this point my email had said I was charged $286.41... I also could not print off my tickets and the Live Nation website said I had no upcoming events. Extremely pissed off. I had tried to keep calm and called customer service. Just a brief 3 hours later of waiting and being transferred and waiting and being transferred again I was told the tickets I ordered were actually resale tickets and they were non-refundable...
Feeling pretty screwed over I accepted the fact my money was gone and had asked for another email because my tickets would not print. Some dbag named Joe assured me I'd receive another email within twenty minutes. An hour later I checked my email and they didn't send me anything, now 11 pm, night before the concert I'm panicking that I'll have to tell my friends we can't go. I tried calling back and an automated voice told me they were closed till 8 am aka the time we planned on arriving at the concert. So we all slept in a little and I took a laptop and printer with me hoping to catch them after 8. I also printed off a copy of my receipt as last resort.
After two hours of waiting and being transferred to a different company that told me to recall Ticketmaster whom transferred me to a different company. I was told my receipt wouldn't get me in and that I needed to print the actual tickets which they never re-sent. Now about to beat my face into a wall I had given up and bought two new tickets at the actual event for 80 more bucks, my third friend bailed because of the ticket struggle. So all in all it was like a $350 trip. Thanks Ticketmaster. I'd rather take a staple gun to my own genitals than ever deal with that phone service again.

Booked a Vegas show through Ticketmaster and was pleased to have lots of seats to choose from due to booking early. Decided to pay extra for a great view near the front as it was a birthday treat. However, when we arrived, we had a restricted view due to a fixed camera which was stationed directly in front of us. This wasn't declared at the point of purchase, nor reflected in the price. The view was so poor that we couldn't even see the artist on stage at many points.
I've now sent Ticketmaster four emails, which have all been ignored, Tweets, which were responded to but with complete lack of care and assistance. I've since phoned the US, which is expensive from the UK, especially with long hold times, and an agent told me I would have a resolution within 7 days. I've still heard nothing. I'm shocked at how little concern Ticketmaster has for its customers, and that it's still in business when based on this forum, it isn't getting repeat business. It obviously isn't worried about its one-star rating! I will be booking tickets elsewhere in future and strongly advise anyone else to do so too.

My boyfriend bought tickets to a Broadway show as a gift for his mom on her birthday. They were going to be coming up to New York from MD and the show had been booked for June 27, a couple of weeks after her birthday. About a week later my boyfriend happened to look at his credit card statement and noticed that the charge had been refunded. Unsure what was going on, I did some research and found out that the show had posted it's closing notice about 3 or 4 days after we bought the tickets had it's last performance the weekend before we had booked.
We received no email or contact of any kind from Ticketmaster to inform us of the cancellation (And I did check my junk mail). The tickets had already been printed, so there was no need for us to log back into the system. If my boyfriend had not happened to check his credit card statement, we would have had NO knowledge of the cancellation and his parents would have driven the 3 hours up to New York City and paid for a hotel room, all for no reason. I emailed Ticketmaster to complain and got no response from them. I was already upset at the gross oversight in customer service when the show was cancelled but their lack of response to my complaint has made me very angry.

Contacted Ticketmaster customer support, by email first.
Their initial replies thru email were "We are currently receiving a higher than normal number of inquiries. We apologize, as our current response time is longer than we would like. We will get back to you as soon as possible; however, please allow up to 24-48 hours." I received the first excuse 4 days later of "cannot sell for less than face value," then after again sending 23 emails (I have documented each and every email and responses) and receiving different excuses from each email, such as anything from "I'm using the incorrect browser, they are working on a patch to fix it," to "it's to late to resell because it's to close to the event date."
Then I started phone calling. Most of the phone call wait times were averaging out to 24 minutes. However, once I was in touch with a rep., I had to be transferred to the "proper department." Again more wait time. Once in contact with "proper department," I was told I needed to call a different phone number. This phone number went to TicketExchange. Yes, and you guessed it. More wait times and more excuses. This went on for 4 months. Yes, 4 months. By this time I was furious beyond all reality.
I continued to make my complaint thru the phone calls, again, with zero results. Each rep I spoke to, I recorded their name and employee ID. I spoke to the bottom of the barrel to the highest level supervisor the trash would transfer me to. Again, the same excuses. I also requested a refund for the tickets, but by then, I was too late. I had lost track of time. And no, you couldn't even imagine because you did not experience it.
Then, 4 days before the concert date, I received an automated email from Ticketmaster stating "Ooops, your concert is in a few more days and you still have tickets to sell." Furious? Not even close. Now I am, well, I can't post it here for fear of incriminating myself. Let's just say I was beyond furious. Then, to add more garbage to the fire, today, I keep getting emails that Ticketmaster is unable to deposit some of the ticket money I resold. They have asked me to reenter my direct deposit information. They have done this 3 times since this writing (7 Jul, 2015) of this post. Can you believe it!!? Yes, I certainly can. Now I am battling this new issue. The previous issue was never resolved and Ticketmaster does not even care.
I did sell some tickets at the original price. However, in the end, I had lost $1,281. There are many more details to this nightmare and I am upset I did not record all of the phone calls. But I do have most of the email correspondence and some reps. names and employee numbers. Oh yeah. In the end again, I started researching for locations and phone numbers of the actual owners of Ticketmaster, with no avail. I would just love to meet them face to face.
I am so worn out thru all of this. I can't even seem to focus anymore. However, I do know if I want satisfaction, I need to continue to pursue this. I am now beginning the process of obtaining a lawyer and contacting the Attorney General. I was also thinking of contacting CNN and Fox News. I am also hoping many others out there had similar problems and were interested in a Class Action suit. Whether or not this helps with my situation, time will tell. So much for customer service. It's a crime. It does not and probably will never exist ever again in yours or my lifetime. Pathetic! Isn't America great?!

However when we went to print the tickets, we were instructed that we had to show up to the door with our CC and picture ID to get in, a rather LARGE detail that was NOT disclosed through the app and the purchase screen at the time of purchase. When I called customer service to inquire about this and how to obtain actual tickets to give to my in-laws, I was told that I have to show up at the door (I live in another city) and show my ID and CC to get them in to the concert.
When I stated this was not disclosed through the purchase screen or delivery screen, I was told that I was incorrect, that it was there (despite my having read the screen twice) and having selected the e-delivery option myself. The "customer service" (service used very loosely) representative responded by saying that "it's written online" and had no response when I stated that it was not disclosed or stated at the time of purchase and was only discovered when I went to print the tickets. Again I was basically told that I was out of luck and will have to physically drive to another city and show my ID and CC just so that my in-laws can go to a concert. Thanks Ticketmaster, for ruining what would have otherwise been a fantastic gift for my wife's parents. Program insists on getting and giving all information. Do you want to buy tickets? What City? Name of venue. Confirms name of venue, city, state, address, zip code, phone and type of venue. Then address. Then name of event. Then reviews all seating options. Then reviews prices. At each step if you ask for a representative it repeats all previous info and tells you it needs more info to get a representative. I am sitting with the exact seat numbers I want from online research and answering fifteen minutes of questions and also getting useless information.
The Lyric Theater is a two level venue with so many seats and such and such a location, etc. etc. etc. Finally speak to representative and she has to confirm all this info once again and then doesn't understand how seating in a theater does not require to tell her left or right if I have the exact ticket numbers. Ticketmaster has a monopoly and just doesn't care about its customers. And with the per ticket and per order fees charged, we should be getting royal service.

Everything would have been fine if the manager hadn't stepped in and had let the rep I was talking to complete the form she'd already filled out.

Let me preface this by saying that if these tickets had not been listed as "TicketMaster TicketExchange ONLY" and if we had not RECEIVED MULTIPLE CALLS from an AUTHENTIC TicketMaster number verifying the authenticity of the tickets and informing us on their buyers/sellers insurance, we would have NEVER purchased these tickets. My boyfriend and I were looking for tickets to a music festival this weekend, and found some on Craigslist. Normally we wouldn't buy something via Craigslist unless we could meet them in person, but the person wanted to sell the tickets through TicketExchange, which offers insurance to both the seller and buyer of the tickets. While contacting the seller, TicketMaster CALLED us and spoke with us about the process, ensuring that once the buyer received his money our tickets would transfer over to our TicketMaster account.
We used Walmart-to-Walmart for the transaction as the buyer did not have Paypal. Unfortunately, once the money was sent over from our end, we never received the tickets. Now when contacting TicketMaster, they say that they have never had ANY tickets for this event and that there is nothing they can do for us. I find this absurd on a multitude of points. Why did TicketMaster call us from the VERIFIED TicketMaster number BEFORE the transaction even took place, while we we’re still in contact with the buyer before we completed the money transfer, and not clarify what tickets they were? If TicketMaster had verified the type of tickets, we would have realized that the event tickets were never available on their website whatsoever. Response from TicketMaster's Customer Service: Someone probably "downloaded an app to put our phone number over their own and faked our identity".
While this may be the case, regardless, it is not the consumer's responsibility to go through an identity verification check to make sure I am indeed speaking with a TicketMaster representative and not some fraud. In an effort to mend our losses, I asked the Customer Service Rep, **, if there were any after party tickets they could provide us with (averaging $20 versus the $400 we are now without) since the sole purpose we bought these tickets was due to the fact we were called from their customer service number (800-653-8000) and believed it to be authentic.
She said there was nothing she could do, since the remaining tickets to these after parties were sold via TicketWeb and Live Nation. What is the purpose of selling these tickets on your site if you cannot provide them to deserving TicketMaster customers? I do not understand the purpose of acting as a third-party distributor if they're only available through the other sites. Can't say we will be using TicketMaster any time soon (if ever) again.

My daughter was searching for the best tickets she could find for 5SOS. She kept checking every couple of weeks. I bought her tickets that were not great that I could afford at Susquehanna. One time, she went crazy she found $100 front row tickets at Hershey Park. They said Row A, Section 1. I bought them. They were resale tickets, so they were final sale.
Not five minutes after we bought them, she came to me crying. They were not front row. They were in the back of the stadium. I called right away, but of course, the lady treated me like I'm an idiot, "Didn't I look to see the location?" Well, my daughter is pretty smart, so I didn't know how she could have been fooled like that. I put them right back on the resale option.
I look every week or so to see what prices are, they will never resell. New tickets are about $45. Well, I looked again today, searched to see what tickets are going for, and this time I realized if I click on the front section, A, the tickets I have for sale come up first. I took a screenshot to prove it but there is no email to send it to for Ticketmaster. It is so deceptive. I am so angry, I want to hire a lawyer. I cannot afford to throw away $300. I decided today (April) for an event in November to buy premium tickets. I had looked at other tickets - where seats were confirmed and insurance offered in case of cancellation (likely by Nov) but nothing further forward than Row E. To get anything between Row A-E you have to pay considerably more. BUT you are not told anywhere on the site that you will neither be told the seat number (and some numbers even in the front rows are not good) or offered the ability to take out insurance on your MORE expensive seats. The manager was hearing nothing of this. He said that for years this service was well received.
I think if you pay more you should expect AT LEAST the same level of service as the cheaper seats - not WORSE. I am outraged. I fear that this is a success as people (especially visitors to the UK) will buy these tickets regardless of the stipulations. Thus, they remain inaccessible to the normal folk who would be willing to pay more for better seats but want the same kind of guarantees for as with the 'normal' seats. I felt talked down to and told that each website was different (even Ticketmaster websites) and you had to read the T&C's. What a waste of time - and possibly money. I won't know now until November even though I had to pay more for delivery (and would have even had to pay for collection at the theatre). Daylight robbery - and of loyal theatre-goers living in London. Shame on you.

I tried booking my tickets online, put my home address in, and Ticketmaster would not accept it. They declined my tickets. I then tried again, using the address in Kissimmee at which we were staying, sent it off and got declined again. The 3rd try, it went through, so I thought, and was suppose to get tickets online within 10 minutes. Checked several times throughout the night, no tickets.
The next day, which was a Saturday, we were going to Legoland so I called Ticketmaster again. Got to talk to a guy named ** and he told me the tickets were declined again. I asked him why. He said it had to do with the address. The address I entered is where I have been living for the past 20 years. He then told me I had to book again. I said, "You are kidding." Anyway, I booked again for the 4th time. Stressed to ** that, "I hope you guys are not charging me for the previous 3 times I booked." He said no and finished entering all the information needed, told me what seats we had and said, "You will have your online tickets emailed within 10 minutes." So when we got back that evening, I checked my email, and guess what, tickets were still not there. This is the 3rd day now and the game is the next day.
I picked up the phone and called, gave the girl on the other end the confirmation number, she then put me on hold. I must of waited for 10 minutes and all of a sudden a guy came on named ** and said, "You are a fraud and we cannot issue you tickets." I was shocked and could not believe what I was hearing. This guy made me feel terrible and very upset in what he was saying. All I wanted was to go to a hockey game so my boy who is 10 could get to see his favorite NHL player (Stamos), and attend a first time NHL game with his dad and to be able to share this experience with all of his friends and family who knew he was going to be there.
The disappointment to me is unbearable and will always reflect on my experience of visiting such a beautiful place. I recently purchased tickets that way (for the first time) to a concert that due to weather was rescheduled to a MONDAY night. Unable to attend, I contacted Ticket Master. Since the tickets were resale they would not offer a refund - regardless of the fact that they were original Ticket Master tickets, and regardless of the fact that I was willing to take a small loss since the resale ticket was slightly more then the initial price. I feel like the "resale" tickets are a gimmick and feel suspicious that magically all the tickets are sold and everyone who bought them are now reselling within minutes of being bought.
Warning to anyone who uses this option: NO REFUND, NO EXCHANGE AND NO CREDIT options available. Thanks a lot Ticket Master. FYI: the performer's website said that customers could get refunds for the show just to contact the ticket sale company. My friends already got tickets and I want to sit with them. That's why I need to speak to a live agent. I call the other number offered only for the robot to not recognize me saying NY Knicks tickets so she hangs up on me. I call right back to be told all agents are busy I need to call back later and get hung up on again. They won't even let you stay on hold to talk to someone! Tickets for the 2 scheduled concerts began 10am 2/13/2015. I was logged into my account 10 minutes before the announced sale. The sale started, I clicked on the purchase ticket link, and the site stated they were experiencing heavier traffic than usual and my wait time was approximately 6 minutes. They also stated not to refresh or leave the page as you would lose your place. I went from 6 minutes to 11 minutes back to 9 minutes. It then bumped me back to a 45 minute wait time. If I was on the site and refreshing the site would lose my place in line, then how would so many people cut in front of me to push me to a 45 minute wait. That's the equivalent of having thousands of people cutting in front of me.
I get back down to like 7 minute wait, and the site boots me out and tells me to search again. I search for tickets again, and the wait time is bouncing all over the place. I get down to a 5 minute wait, and the site boots me out again telling me to search again. During this time 2 additional shows are announced so I immediate try to get tickets for these shows. I start at about 10 minute wait, and move up to about 5 minutes, I get to a 1 minute wait hoping for a chance at buying my 2 tickets, and the site says it returned no results and to search again.
As a goof while I'm attempting the first time to buy tickets, I open a separate browser and go to stubhub.com and 3 minutes into the start of the sale, there are hundreds if not thousands of tickets listed on stub hub for sale for 2 to 10 times the price on Ticketmaster. I think this is completely bogus. This is 2015 and you're telling me has not come up with proprietary software that will allow customers to log on to their website without crashing. Not to mention the fact that people were able to log in buy tickets and place these tickets for sale in a mother website in 3 minutes. There's something fishy about that. I'd really like to see if stub hub was not paying a portion to Ticketmaster to get these before fans who want to see a concert and not make money. It's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

I logged into my Ticketmaster account at 09:45 in anticipation of Garth Brooks tickets going on sale at 10:00 for March 28th in Sacramento. At 10:00 I refreshed the page, clicked on "view tickets" and selected the number I was looking to purchase. I instantly received a message that the wait time was "less than 16 minutes." Over the next 35 min that countdown clock dropped and spiked several times going as low as 3 minutes and as high as 49 minutes.
During this time I also logged onto several "ticket broker" sites to find they had tickets available, marked up from $70+/- face value to $150-$1000. At the 35 minute mark I received a message that tickets weren't available in the quantity I desired. I then learned that in the meantime, while I waited on this BS system, 2 more Sacramento shows were added. I tried also to get tickets for those with the same results. Also during this time, My girlfriend was on her computer, at a different location, as well as her phone trying to secure tickets with the same results.
How many years has TM been selling tickets and they still have yet to get a system to handle the high demands of these shows? And how many $millions$ have we all paid in bogus service charges that could have paid for an adequate system? If they can't handle the demand, perhaps they shouldn't be in the business. And at what point will someone investigate the links between TM and the "brokers" and how it is "brokers" are getting tickets before the general public? Disgraceful! And the wait time clock displayed by the website is misleading and a lie to consumers.

After speaking to three different people, in a horribly rude and unbending manager, Amanda, who had the audacity to accuse me of poor time management (being a full-time working mother at a high-stress, busy job with no time to call during YOUR business hours, as I'm taking care of my children when I'm not working), I was told that they simply couldn't and wouldn't honor the code.

I get so frustrated purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster. They have a monopoly on ticket distribution and they take full advantage of it. No other company could get away with charging a $10.60 service fee per ticket and a $4.50 order processing fee for the privilege of printing out your ticket through their website. I would have to pay another $4.50 for standard shipping to actually have a real ticket from Ticketmaster mailed to me. While I was trying to find tickets on their site there were not many available. I needed to get 2 in a row, however most were in groups of 3 or individuals.
When I tried to purchase 2 out of a group of 3 it wouldn't let me because it said I would be leaving 1 by itself. So my money to purchase 2 available seats is subject to their approval? How is there single seats located all over the arena if they have that restriction in place? I wish there were alternatives to this unreasonable company. My only other option is to have an in-person cash transaction with a season ticket holder.

The tickets went on sale online at a specific time and I was ready. I pre-registered so I wouldn't waste time online with credit card information. I was able to get online and secure a pair of best seats available in a heartbeat, and I do mean a heartbeat. My seats, however, were in peanut heaven. Hello fellow friends who believe in justice for the innocent, over. I bought a set of 5 tickets, 2 were allowed entry and 3 were denied. I bought for POP NYE on 12/31/14. After speaking with the event promoter, the venue and ticket master, I was able to find out some very disturbing information. To cut to the chase, Ticketmaster is at fault. Ticketmaster re-issued the 3 tickets that were denied entry to be picked up at will call and had the name changed to "Khang **" without my consent (the venue provided me with the details whereas Ticketmaster just admitted to an error on their side).
Let me repeat the last statement. Ticketmaster, without my permission, the buyer and owner of the tickets, changed the 3 tickets to "Tickets Not Received" and had them set up to be picked up at will call under another name, "Khang **". It does not make sense for me to call in to cancel 3 of my 5 valid tickets as "Tickets Not Received" and to have them be picked up at will call under another name, Khang **.
To make matters more complicated, I posted 3 tickets on Stubhub for sale because 3 of my friends bailed on me. Stubhub refunded the tickets as they were not valid and each of the tickets refunded were issued a gift card at my expense for posting up invalid tickets. As a result of these three invalid tickets I am barred from selling tickets on Stubhub. To make matters even more frustrating all these charges were funded by the credit card I had on account which was over drafted.
I was able to receive a full refund for my 3 tickets that were denied entry from Ticketmaster. I needed a written consent from Ticketmaster stating they were at fault for me to reinstate my stubhub account but I was given the same answer. Ticket master is not responsible for third party resellers. I know you are not responsible but all the problems I have to deal with is a direct result of Ticketmaster failing. Apart from Ticketmaster offering a 50 dollar gift card for the inconvenience they would not help admit fault via written response.
At the end of the day, I am simply sharing my customer experience with Ticketmaster. I am short of a stubhub account, a few hundred dollars, hours spent resolving a problem that could have been prevented, and a lack of trust in Ticketmaster. I will thing it over a few times before I commit to buying from Ticketmaster again. By the way I hope karma gets this Khang ** and I feel bad for the agent that was scammed. I **, the victim, am signing off, over.

The date for which I purchased tickets was cancelled months after I purchased. Ticketmaster offered to exchange my tickets for a different date. Fine. I asked for the exchange, but after man emails back and forth with customer service, they told me to call in. Turns out they wanted to charge me extra to exchange the tickets. They claim that these new tickets are different. WRONG. They're the same tickets (general admission) but just on a different date. They claim I should pay the additional cost because I am purchasing new tickets. WRONG. I am exchanging for the same tickets on a different day because they cancelled my date.
Supervisor John ** was uncaring, unhelpful and rude, refusing to listen to my statements and only repeating his rhetoric over and over. Somehow Ticketmaster feels I need to pay them for the service of exchanging my tickets when the event was cancelled through no fault of my own. Isn't this what a ticket broker is for, to deal with this kind of mess? If I had purchased something in a retail store and came back a month later to exchange it, there would be no additional fees, even if the price had changed since I purchased. The same would be true if I had booked a hotel room. Once you buy something, *the price is locked in*. Why Ticketmaster can't see that is beyond me, except in that they're just greedy and fraudulent.

My transaction was completed at 10:02 am. I was completely unaware that I was buying resale tickets for the game! They definitely don't make it clear to the customer that that is what is happening. Why on earth would I be buying a resale ticket directly from Tickemaster? I wouldn't! It really does seem like they snatch up all of the good seats and resell them for a gigantic increase in price and fees! It is a huge conflict of interest. The only possible place for me to buy a ticket to the game at face value would be selling them for resale within 2 minutes of the initial public offering?! I contacted Ticketmaster and of course, they informed me that my tickets can't be canceled. He did however, offer for me to put them up and resell them on their site so they could make more money. My seats in section 327 were sold for $580 each plus $114 in convenience fee!! $1387 for 2 seats that sell at face value for about $ 170 each. I have spoken with my credit card company, however, by the time any dispute of the charges would be resolved, the January 10th playoff game would be long gone and Ticketmaster knows this.
Ticketmaster plays on our excitement for the opportunity to try and get a ticket at face value and the timer is always ticking on their little clock at the bottom of the page. They are a horrible company! I wish someone would open up another reasonable source for fans to purchase tickets. We don't have very many options to get tickets for venues besides this gigantic Goliath, Ticketmaster. I have filed a complaint with the Washington Attorney General's Office. I have been battling with Ticketmaster for a refund for tickets that I attempted to purchase through their website, received an error code during checkout, and was charged without knowing I was charged. The error code prompted me to contact customer service during checkout, which I did, and no order was found. I then ordered a second pair of tickets believing the first order did not go through. I was then charged for both pairs of tickets. Here is my story.
After attempting to make a ticket purchase online I received an error code during checkout. I immediately checked my order history to see if the order went through; however, my account indicated no tickets in my order history online. I then called customer service. Of course I needed an order number which I did not have because I was never given one due to the error message. I was then prompted to enter the city of the venue and my credit card number to retrieve my order; however, again, no purchase was associated with my credit card either. All of these reasons led me to believe that the purchase never went through.
I then ordered a second pair of tickets and immediately received a confirmation number associated with my second order. Due to these reasons, I believe I followed the policy outlined in Ticketmaster's purchase policy completely. I did not "assume that an order was placed" because I did not receive a confirmation. I took the suggested steps to verify through customer service and no order was located. The policy does not provide any guidance once a customer follows the policy completely and finds that no order was placed. I believe that this is clearly an error on the part of Ticketmaster.
I am certain that any reasonable person that this specific problem is presented to will see that Ticketmaster knows of the deficiencies that their service has, therefore the error code issue is outlined in a fine print policy to fall back on when this problem arises. I have been in contact with Ticketmaster regarding this issue and they will not provide a refund stating that they do not own the tickets and must follow the venue policy. Furthermore, the tickets that I purchased are electronic tickets that I need to swipe my credit card at the gate for entry. This means I cannot even sell the extra set of tickets to recoup my money. I am completely frustrated and do not know what to do next.

I did not change screens or refresh during the next 2 plus hours. I had to restart the ticket search at least 15 times with each computer because the searches were unsuccessful. How could they take 10-20 minutes and be completely unsuccessful. Toward the end they became shorter, but no more successful until the nosebleed seats were found.
I don't believe it. If this were done fairly, I would have had at least one successful search for 4 tickets during the first time I was online. And they have the audacity to charge $4.25 for processing when the information clearly indicates that all fees are included in the ticket price. I cannot prove anything but I know they sold the tickets at elevated prices and only gave the leftovers to the people who were trying to buy them online. It would be very interesting to do a survey of the people in the good seats and find how few really got seats at $70 a ticket. They were completely unwilling to help or even be gracious or apologetic about their website issue.
Instead the rep acted like it was my problem and they couldn't possibly bear any responsibility for the glitch. She actually told me that if I got an error then the seats must not have been available! So all those blue dots and gray dots on the seating chart mean nothing?! It's just hit or miss? You have to select your seats from the blue dots on the chart and see if you get an error afterward when you try to continue, then go remove those seats from your order and select different seats just to have the same thing happen again. Really? Because this is exactly what I did before getting booted from their website. And the rep tells me that this happened to me because the seats weren't available! And she knows because she's been with Ticketmaster a long time! Again, really?!
I was nice and pleasant when I called hoping they could at least refund those seats so we could purchase seats altogether, but she was a rude, arrogant brick wall. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone who might have the authority to help me, she said she could but they weren't going to help me either. Ticketmaster is a rude, greedy, money-grubbing organization. AND when I called they couldn't even find my friend’s order, insisted I bought the tickets somewhere else! They were bought through TM and they eventually found the order.

Basically I am screwed over $ 200 because of Ticketmaster's will not let me transfer MY tickets that I paid for, with MY money to my older brother since I got called into work and will not be able to make the venue. I would be happy if they let me transfer the tickets or sell them back to them but it's apparently not a possibility. Called their customer service and all they did was waste my time sending me from representative to representative. Ticketmaster was the only site we used to buy tickets, but now will think twice about ordering from them. I just don't understand how a company like this is still running.

Due to human error the original tickets in section 115 are actually in section 118. The remaining seating information is accurate (Row U). I do apologize if this causes you any inconvenience, but we were hoping you would be willing to accept these tickets. Purchasing Tickets for Garth Brooks concert in Lexington online was a fiasco. The system "overloaded". They were surprised that they had an issue after putting 2 concerts on sale at the same time. Their antiquated system crashed and started randomly assigning shows. We show up at the event and tickets were printed for 10:30 pm show - instead of 6:30 show I had purchased. TM assured me I was mistaken - except the 10:30 show was not an option to purchase originally. I have purchased tickets through TM since I was a teenager 37 years ago. Back then the issue was getting through on the phone. I don't mind the fees if they would provide a decent service. The artists should find another service that would change things if a few acts bailed out.

I was transferred from a discount ticket site to Ticketmaster for tickets to Legends in concert at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Filling out the purchase order Ticketmaster accepted the promo code twice, once at the beginning and at the very end. After submitting the order I found I was charged full price plus a fee which amounted to about 20% of added price. I was not too worried because they had a 72 hr. refund policy in the contract.
I called and was treated with arrogance I have never encountered before. They told me the discount did not apply to these particular seats so I said, "Ok let's change it to them seats then," of which they said no. I said I wanted to cancel then and they said the 72hr. cancellation clause does not apply to that venue. I asked why I was not informed that prior to submitting the order as any responsible company does and was told that's the way it is. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused with the response of "Why? He will just tell you the same thing." It's shocking their practices are allowed to continue and would never do business with this arrogant company again.

This is a warning to anyone who purchases tickets from Ticketmaster. They routinely engage in a fraudulent practice of adding on ticket insurance for about $25. Last February when I purchased four tickets for an event they had a clock ticking down giving me very little time to complete my transaction before canceling. Somewhere in the process they have you check a box for the ticket insurance. I must have missed it because I didn't have time to read through the agreement. When it turned up on my final bill I called Ticketmaster to complain. After much hassle they canceled the ticket insurance and refunded my money. I thought that would be the end of it.
As I was going through my October credit card statement I came upon a $16.99 charge for GREAT FUN. I called them up only to find that this was an ongoing monthly charge for membership resulting from my purchase of tickets last February. After calling GREAT FUN they told me that they would be glad to cancel my membership but that I was not entitled to a refund. Then they told me that they would make an exception and refund 4 months out of the 8 that had been charged. I told them that I wanted all charges refunded and threatened legal action. Finally they put me through to a supervisor who assures me that all charges totaling $135.92 will be refunded within 7 business days. I will be monitoring my credit card statements for this refund. I also got the name and phone # of the supervisor. I guess it's my own fault for not checking my credit card statements more carefully.

They had obviously preselected it somewhere. When it came up I tried to go back to find and unselect it but the payment went through without my approval. Rang Ticketmaster immediately and they basically said tough luck. This is not our company, it is another company. You should have seen the tick. This is simply online theft with Ticketmaster helping itself to amounts of money out of people's accounts without their consent. Ticketmaster appears to be a thoroughly dishonest online company and needs to be investigated. I am reporting it to NSW Dept of Fair Trading as it is breaching Australian law.

When I contacted Ticketmaster to explain the error they told me there was a no-refund policy. I continued to tell them it was an error and I had not intended to buy tickets. They might as well have just hung up on me. Their complete and total disregard for customers is the worst business practice I have ever experienced. Ticketmaster has a strangle hold on the entertainment agency, basically it's a monopoly and as consumers, we should combine all our efforts to boycott or at least stand together to fight this type of business practice.

In July 2014, I purchased two tickets to see Rise Against at the House of Blues for me and a friend. I did this by clicking on the event on the House of Blues website and was then redirected to Ticketmaster to purchase the tickets. I went to print out my tickets yesterday and noticed that the tickets themselves say the wrong venue and the wrong date (the tickets I have are for a concert in Kansas City, Missouri... This is over 21 hours away from me). I KNOW I purchased the right tickets. I go to the House of Blues all the time, it's my favorite venue. I checked what the seating charts look like to see if they look similar. They really really don't. I also know I would have checked the information to be correct over and over again. So I called Ticketmaster to try to fix the problem, neither concert has happened yet. Figuring, at the very least, I would have to spend twice as much on the tickets to the concert I wanted to see now because there are only resale tickets now that it's September, unlike in July when I thought I had already purchased the tickets.
The first time I called I spoke with a customer service rep who didn't speak English very well but was at least respectful and trying to help, clearly hindered by Ticketmaster's policies. She informed me that the most they could do was to send something to the venue that Ticketmaster sent my money to and REQUEST that they refund them. Funny, I only remember giving Ticketmaster my credit card information and buying them at the House of Blues. I won't even hear back from them for 3-5 business days according to Ticketmaster. Which, especially after reading other customer reviews, is probably just another stalling technique from a company with what seems like a monopoly on ticket sales, terrible customer support, and policies that are more scam than policy. Also, I was on the phone for almost an hour because I spent half of the time on hold.
I called again later, and was put on hold a lot again. This service rep was EXTREMELY condescending and disrespectful. I explained the situation to her and she kept saying "This situation has already been resolved, there's nothing I can do," and tried to tell me it was my fault because the website asks you to confirm 3 times that the tickets you are buying are the ones you want. Even though I kept telling her I know I reviewed it and the 3 times I reviewed it, it told me the right venue. I told her she wasn't being very helpful or listening to me and she hung up on me! The last service rep was as helpful as he could be. Still informing me of policies that are awful, but that wasn't his fault.
So now I am holding a really expensive piece of paper that I can't do anything with due to Ticketmaster's error. An error that, according to other online reviews I have read, HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. I also think they should put the name of the venue on the receipt that says your order number & "Congratulations [insert name here], you are going to see [name of band here]." Despite Ticketmaster stealing almost $200 from me, at least I didn't drive into Boston, get parking, and get denied at the door. The tickets you print out are covered in advertising and only say the venue and date in little letters. I very likely could have not noticed they were off.
I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I am also contacting the venue that the tickets I do not want are at and asking them to accept the refund and advising them to read what customers think of Ticketmaster. They are an awful company with awful practices. I don't care what their fine print might say. I don't sign up to spend hours reading the policies of the websites I buy my tickets from, and neither does anyone else. & even if I were to, another company might say some of the same things for liability purposes and then have good customer service and proceed with their policies in a reasonable way. Now I know to NEVER USE TICKETMASTER AGAIN!!! (And for anyone who agrees, don't use Livenation either, Ticketmaster and Livenation merged in 2010 and are the same company).

I had to cancel tickets to a college football game due to my brother having a heart attack. I was within the 72-hour cancellation policy & called the so-called customer service line. Be prepared to wait, at least an hour or two, be prepared to be transferred numerous times to TICKETMASTER NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE & THE EVEN MORE UNORGANIZED SALES DEPARTMENT representatives who offered no help, no guidance, no remorse, no dignity, or compassion regarding my situation.
The mistakes & misrepresentation that this company is gross & wrong. Read the fine print, because apparently there is only ONE venue in the entire state of NM that is "eligible" & "participates" in any sort of refund - it's a casino venue, give me a break--so, if there is an emergency, they will find some sort of "guideline" or "rule" to make any amends of a customer who has been buying tickets from Ticketmaster for over 20 years. So, after speaking to numerous representatives, "Yes, you are within the 72-hour time frame for a refund", then "no, it is not a participating vendor", then, "if you would have done it seven days before the venue", which I was one day short of because of the weekend...which I had never read about, heard about, ETC.
They are scam artists. You can call as many times, talk to as many people as you can & your only response will be "I can't help you". The people whom I spoke to were extremely rude to me, they made it seem like it was my fault this happened & gave me really bad attitude. They also told me to go ahead & call my MasterCard because Ticketmaster didn't have my money. She then informed me that Ticketmaster doesn't even own the tickets, wow -- that sure doesn't sound good, professional or reputable.
They are basically rude, uneducated & inconsiderate. The representatives whom I dealt with during this entire nightmare are Anna, Jehu, Mary, Carmen, Veronica...these were just the ones that I kept track of. And apparently Carmen & Veronica are managers. You will get nowhere trying to get help with a manager, they will take the request, e-mail it to who knows where & then like many of the other people on this site & you wait & you wait & you wait.
Below is Ticketmaster's so called REFUND POLICY that I had to dig deep into their site to get.
Refunds:
"Get a full refund on tickets for participating venues and teams if you change your mind within 72 hours of purchase. Call 800-653-8000." COMPLETE LIE **Besides, you will only get transferred back & forth from sales to customer service, over & over. And you will hear different policies, non-policies, incorrect policies, rules, no rules, venues, ETC.
"Some non-participating venues (and artists, teams, etc.) have a "no refunds or exchanges" policy. But if the event is close and you can't make it, we'll do everything we can to help. Contact us!" COMPLETE LIE. ** They will not help or remedy your situation either way.
Do not trust them, they will screw you over. There's no way to tell where their corporate headquarters are located to file in the state they do business, but we wound up reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as a global complaint... Do your research and make sure when purchasing tickets you NEVER go through TICKETMASTER or an affiliate. If there are issues, you will be screwed!!!! Do yourself a favor, use Stub Hub, Craigslist, or a scalper, at least this way you are guaranteed some sort of option, as Ticketmaster offers NO REMEDY for what they FALSELY advertise.
And they want the "order number" of my ticket, ha--like that will help. I have been in customer service for over 25 years & never treated someone so poorly, or been treated so badly. Call your credit card, dispute charges, Better Business Bureau & most importantly WORD OF MOUTH... There is not one single person whom I know in my contact list of over 900 people & FB that will know about this horrific experience. Ticketmaster obviously does not care, but at least I can warn others. I give Ticketmaster 20+ negative stars, unfortunately you are required to give them one star, it doesn't matter, THEY DON'T CARE...posting to FB & contacts now.

Waited for the promised email to direct me how to verify my bank account and verified the deposits on my checking account. Now I get an email saying it takes another 7 days before I got my money. When I questioned why the delay, no one would give me an answer. They also tried to make it seem that our bank was the delay in accepting the money and I needed to call my bank. They send two very small deposits into your bank account and you have to get on their website and enter the deposits in and somehow that verifies your account. Now I am told it takes 10-13 business days to receive my funds.
I then call because of course, there are no funds and they say I need to select the debit card as a charge back card, even though that option is already selected. They would not change the name on the order. They said I was the only one who could pick up. When I pointed out that I was in TX and ordered them as standard mail delivery, they said that the "artist" came back to them after tickets went on sale and requested that all tickets be will call pick up only. They told me that I could get a refund, so reluctantly I agreed to a refund because I had no other choice. Then after the concert, they came back and said that my request for a refund was denied. However, for a particular reason I needed to give them up. I'd got in touch with Ticketmaster trying to cancel my order, but I was told I can't. But I was informed I could sell it on the very website, with no problem. But, despite the fact they didn't send them yet (I have no barcode, but they promise send it to me through Nov 7th). As a foreigner and living abroad, I'm unable to be paid. They pay only by check (and obviously I haven't an American Bank Account). I demand to be reimbursed and, as I have no reason to hold those two seats on this venue, I'll gratefully release the tickets.
As a foreigner, I'm feeling very frustrated by this organization (Ticketmaster) and its "no law at all" attitude. Even in Brazil (that means: on a very messy country), I can cancel my online orders till seven days after place the online order. When I'd tried do that on Ticketmaster, I have had plenty of time to do that, but I was cordially ignored by Ticketmaster staff (I was answered with thousand of "sorry", but no solution at all). I just want my money back and I'll happily release them.
