I bought tickets for my granddaughters to see Frozen in Memphis. Since I can't attend I wanted to transfer tickets to my daughter-in-law. I did the transfer on Friday evening for 5 tickets. She didn't get the first ticket until Saturday morning. By Monday she still didn't have the other four. They said transfer pending. The website does not have a phone number listed so I tried an email. It was never answered.
On Wednesday I got online and finally located a phone number. I was on the phone for 30. I was told to cancel the transfer and that they would email me the PDF versions so I could forward it to my daughter-in-law. I asked for them to wait for me to confirm receipt. They said "no, it might take 5 minutes". Needless to say, I never received the PDF. I finally went back to my ticket link. Downloaded the PDF myself and forwarded it myself. Their customer service is a joke and they don't care since you can't get the tickets any other way.

The Ticketmaster it is the worse service ever. I won't never buy tickets again. My problem started when I tried buy tickets to Extreme Christian Concert event with my American Express points. I searched a lot of tickets option before I decide which choose. But the website did 2 orders without my permission and without my Amex Rewards. After I checked my email and see both orders, I decided contact the customer service to resolution my problem. I did 3 solicitation and anyone resolve anything. I tried return one of my orders because I bought wrong. I asked about barcode because I wanted resell the tickets in other website. Now I tried require to put the 2 orders together or transfer the cheap order for more expensive seat to I have 3 tickets and I can't too.

There is no quick or easy way to get to a human. When you do finally get one they barely speak English and their background is humming and whining in your ear. I ask her to look up my ticket and she was snotty and told me "we don't do that kind of thing." So I said "so I have wait til I go to the game to find out if my tickets are any good?" She says yep and hangs up. Unbelievable.

My sister thought she was buying PRESALE tickets for Hugh Jackman as she always gets alerts for presale tickets from Ticketmaster. The site she was on was for their RESALE site. Not realising this she bought 2 tickets and it end up costing her $700.00. How can Ticketmaster offer this resale scam. What is to stop anyone buying 20 or more tickets at the correct price and then reselling them for huge profit? This is SCALPING at its worst.

I purchased 6 Rolling Stone Tickets during a pre-sale thru Ticketmaster, On April 10, 2015. Paid over $500.00 each for Club Seats. At concert June 20th, the seats were directly aside the stage, with the band's speakers obstructing any view of the interior stage, other band performers, and video displays. The website gave impression seats were further out from stage. Tickets were overpriced by at least two hundred dollars for obstructed seats. Ushers at Heinz Field had been offering Floor Seats to others in our Section, 208, as they advised the band was unhappy with the view from these side sections. But we were too late to get such an offer, and all available Floor Seats were taken. These Sections, 208 and 237, should not have been made available for sale, due to their poor location, or the stage should have been moved back further toward the end zone.
When I complained to Ticketmaster 6-21-15, they said they were unaware of any issues, or that the band or Heinz Field had reported any issues with Sections 208 or 237 (the other side section across the stadium). When I complained again, they failed to reply. Heinz Field also failed to reply to my complaint on 6-22-15. We paid over $3,200.00 for 6 tickets and got fraudulently deceived by Ticketmaster. Four of my family members were actually seated on the floor as an option, but myself and spouse were not offered this alternative seating arrangement. Ticketmaster utilized the Pre-Sale to hustle obstructed seats at a premium price, duping the consumer, myself and many others.

I attend the University of Minnesota Duluth. And I want season tickets for the men's hockey team. And it was supposed to start at noon but it didn't. Because Ticketmaster sucks. Ticketmaster isn't calling Duluth back or anything and I am very rattled. I have class and will have to skip lunch because of this. So this is my angry typed letter of anger.

I have an account with ticketmaster and have always used them for many events in the past. I made the mistake of putting their app on my phone. Well long story short my young 4 year old daughter got a hold of my phone to play a few games I keep on there for her. She ventured out from her usual few games she regularly plays and opened this app. She ended up purchasing over $200 worth of tickets for a damn event I am not even in the same state as. When I contacted them to see if I could cancel this they would not help me. I am now stuck with tickets to something I cannot even attend to. So if you want to purchase tickets I advise you think twice about using this shady business who has no compassion or understanding for little life mistakes. Never will I use them again!

This review is for the Seattle Sounders ticket-buying experience through Ticketmaster, which is the official way to buy Sounders tickets online. The morning of game day, I purchased two tickets that were being resold by other customers. Ticketmaster verifies all ticket resales, so that seemed safe. I was not able to download my tickets after waiting an hour, so I called customer service. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I reached a representative, who couldn't fix the problem himself, so he said that specialists would look into it and call back within 20 minutes. I never got a call. I called back an hour later and waited on hold, listening to obnoxious elevator music for another 15 minutes. After explaining the situation to a new representative, she told me that she couldn't fix the problem, but that she might be able to refund the cost, if I waited on hold again. I was not interested in this option, since I was already at the stadium.
I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor assured me that she would take care of the situation and call me back at least half an hour before game time. She confirmed my cell phone number. Needless to say, I received no call (until after the game had already started). I finally got my tickets by waiting in a long customer service line at the stadium and explaining the situation to a representative in person. By this time, I had missed 15 minutes of the game, including an important goal. So my advice is to be careful of buying tickets that are being resold. Even if verified by Ticketmaster, they are not necessarily trustworthy.

Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to deal with the hidden policies that Ticketmaster likes to claim are listed online when you purchase. And unfortunately, it seems like I am SOL. I used ticket master to purchase U.S Open tickets because of an email for a promotion from the USTA. I was not aware that if you buy resale tickets they are not eligible for any promotions, nor are they refundable if you decide you do not want to purchase the tickets. I made the purchase, not realizing that I did not apply the promo code.
At the time of purchase, I thought maybe I missed the box where you enter the code or something. I called in to customer service to see if I can apply the promo after. After going through a runaround of automated commands, I was finally able to get on the phone with someone. This person told me that there is no way for them to change or edit and orders after they are purchased. So I asked for a complete refund of the purchase since I did not want to pay the full asking price (which was marked up 30%). The person I spoke with told me that because I purchased these tickets "re-sale" I am unable to get a refund for the tickets.
When I hit the submit button, nowhere did I see information or anything saying resale tickets are not eligible for a refund or promo codes or I would not have purchased them in the first place. After speaking with a supervisor about this, I was basically told it is my own fault for not reading the policies. It is really just a lesson learned that I will never ever use them again or recommend Ticketmaster to anyone. They are eager to collect their fees and commissions to sell you the tickets but when you need help, they claim there is nothing they can do. I will never use Ticketmaster ever again. :(

Just like a previous poster for the first time I was prompted with this protector option. It highly encouraged me to select yes (bold letters, plus the literal words of encouragement), and there doesn't seem to be much information around what it is, nor about the charge (am sure it's buried somewhere). Anyway, I have no idea what it does but after the fact was charged $8 per ticket (on $50 dollar baseball tickets). I blame myself I guess as I should have never trusted Ticketmaster in that this was something positive. So as I have been once bitten, I hope everyone else is twice shy. I'm yet to get an email from the 'insurance' company about what this actually does. Perhaps it protects me if there is a tornado in downtown Toronto because we get a lot of them :P.

I recently booked tickets through Ticketmaster (TM) and I have two issues with their system - 1. Tried to book family ticket for rugby event and did not like the location but would not allow my children into certain areas because they are not getting full adult price / refused me kids' tickets to only two areas (obviously crap seats). 2. After reluctantly purchasing tickets in this area I confirmed my 132 charge only to receive another separate email from Alliance that I had "opted in" for event insurance (I've done nothing of the sort). They charged my cc 16.95 and I tried to contact TM but they have zero contact details on circular contact information and FAQs.
In my book this is another scam by large company and I certainly did not opt in but it clearly states it's opt in, not opt out. I went back in to mock order more tickets and at no point does it have opt in options for event insurance. A rather peed off Ticketmaster customer. Sad part is they have a monopoly on event tickets - disgraceful.

I purchased tickets for a One Direction concert in Kansas City, they were awesome seats and my daughter could see great. Then the lady sitting next to us stated she needed 2 seats when she had only purchased 1. After trying to get a hold of someone and told there was nothing they could do, a person with the event moved my group to a different section and my daughter couldn't see at all. I was also told by Ticketmaster that if we wanted the original seats back that only 2 were available, when I paid for 3... My daughter was very unhappy and it wasn't even worth going to.

On July 26, 2015 I checked my bank account on an app I have on my phone I saw there was a transaction of 221.42 for a Taylor swift concert from ticket master. I then sent an email saying if I can get a refund on the ticket that was recently purchased. Turns out someone got my information and used my account. They replied two days later "sorry the tickets were sold from another person that has got them and resold them" so I was on my own. ** that. Why would I spend 200$ on Taylor swift tickets. They then emailed me a day later saying I can put them up for sale. I checked on their website it says full refund after 72 hrs after purchase. I told them that and not have got a reply. I was basically robbed now 200$ less with nothing I can do. I have told them I wanted my account deleted no reply either. I took my form of payment off and I'm never going to use them again. Horrible customer service and they do not go by their policy.

I purchased tickets to a venue scheduled for 7/26/15. I chose print at home option. On the day of concert, I was unable to print my tickets from neither my home main frame or laptop. The web page wouldn't move to print tickets. I then called Ticketmaster, because it was late, and requested will call, which the person said she did, giving me a confirmation number. Went to Fairgrounds and at venue attempted to get tickets. The guy after at least 10 minutes on computer and phone gave me a number to Ticketmaster, and said I needed to call them and ask them to release tickets to will call. After 10 plus minutes on hold I gave up and went home. I will never use Ticketmaster again!

The reseller (who was directly linked to the Ticketmaster page and did NOT make the switch obvious) takes no responsibility saying their banner is different. Blah, blah, blah. Liars, cheats, frauds. I'm usually quite articulate when it comes to reviews and accurately conveying why my experience with a particular business fell far short of expectations; a hair above inducing violence. There aren't enough curse words, middle fingers, vile gestures or angry emoticons in the universe to illustrate the utter and complete disgust I have for Ticketmaster. Tickets on sale at 10 am.... Sold out at 10:02. Repeatedly for YEARS. You have to prove you're not a robot by selecting photos now but by the time you are done telling them you're not a robot, the event is sold out. How is Ticketmaster the only game in town? And how are the resellers not price gouging with their nosebleed seats at 4 times the face value?

I had ordered 3 Vans Warped Tour tickets, one month in advance. Tickets had cost around $36. I received an email saying that I was charged around 100 bucks, which made sense. I did not print my tickets immediately because you figured with my luck I'd misplace them so I waited till the night before to print them off. At this point my email had said I was charged $286.41... I also could not print off my tickets and the Live Nation website said I had no upcoming events. Extremely pissed off. I had tried to keep calm and called customer service. Just a brief 3 hours later of waiting and being transferred and waiting and being transferred again I was told the tickets I ordered were actually resale tickets and they were non-refundable...
Feeling pretty screwed over I accepted the fact my money was gone and had asked for another email because my tickets would not print. Some dbag named Joe assured me I'd receive another email within twenty minutes. An hour later I checked my email and they didn't send me anything, now 11 pm, night before the concert I'm panicking that I'll have to tell my friends we can't go. I tried calling back and an automated voice told me they were closed till 8 am aka the time we planned on arriving at the concert. So we all slept in a little and I took a laptop and printer with me hoping to catch them after 8. I also printed off a copy of my receipt as last resort.
After two hours of waiting and being transferred to a different company that told me to recall Ticketmaster whom transferred me to a different company. I was told my receipt wouldn't get me in and that I needed to print the actual tickets which they never re-sent. Now about to beat my face into a wall I had given up and bought two new tickets at the actual event for 80 more bucks, my third friend bailed because of the ticket struggle. So all in all it was like a $350 trip. Thanks Ticketmaster. I'd rather take a staple gun to my own genitals than ever deal with that phone service again.

Ordered e-tickets to see Michael McIntyre in December for August 2015. Every time I go online to print them it says they are still not ready for printing despite receiving an email saying they have been printed and sent out. Every time I call up I am told that the bar codes have not been designed and printed as yet and if they're not available 5 days before the event they can possibly do something then. In this day and age of on-line technology not having the barcodes available is in my opinion does not seem possible. It remains to be seen if I ever receive my tickets.

Booked a Vegas show through Ticketmaster and was pleased to have lots of seats to choose from due to booking early. Decided to pay extra for a great view near the front as it was a birthday treat. However, when we arrived, we had a restricted view due to a fixed camera which was stationed directly in front of us. This wasn't declared at the point of purchase, nor reflected in the price. The view was so poor that we couldn't even see the artist on stage at many points.
I've now sent Ticketmaster four emails, which have all been ignored, Tweets, which were responded to but with complete lack of care and assistance. I've since phoned the US, which is expensive from the UK, especially with long hold times, and an agent told me I would have a resolution within 7 days. I've still heard nothing. I'm shocked at how little concern Ticketmaster has for its customers, and that it's still in business when based on this forum, it isn't getting repeat business. It obviously isn't worried about its one-star rating! I will be booking tickets elsewhere in future and strongly advise anyone else to do so too.

I bought a ticket for the T in The Park Festival in Scotland for today, Sunday 12 July 2015. The ticket never arrived at home. I called the customer service on Friday and I have been told the ticket could have got stuck somewhere and a duplicated one was sent to the T park festival to be collected the same day. I try to explain my situation: I live in London, that ticket was a gift to a friend so I need the ticket by email as soon as possible. The customer service was really poor, kept me waiting ages at the phone as I requested to talk with the supervisor that of course was not available... I have not been refunded, I spent 97 pounds... and nobody enjoyed the festival.
My friend refused to drive to Scotland, plus 2 hours to get to the festival without the ticket in his hand... that is normal, I would have done the same. I think the invention of email could be useful in this cases... I am really disappointed as it is not my fault if the ticket has not been delivered successfully and to be honest, Ticketmaster should take in charge the error or mistake as I paid for something that had never been delivered. The service was really poor and will not buy again in Ticketmaster, cannot trust..

My boyfriend bought tickets to a Broadway show as a gift for his mom on her birthday. They were going to be coming up to New York from MD and the show had been booked for June 27, a couple of weeks after her birthday. About a week later my boyfriend happened to look at his credit card statement and noticed that the charge had been refunded. Unsure what was going on, I did some research and found out that the show had posted it's closing notice about 3 or 4 days after we bought the tickets had it's last performance the weekend before we had booked.
We received no email or contact of any kind from Ticketmaster to inform us of the cancellation (And I did check my junk mail). The tickets had already been printed, so there was no need for us to log back into the system. If my boyfriend had not happened to check his credit card statement, we would have had NO knowledge of the cancellation and his parents would have driven the 3 hours up to New York City and paid for a hotel room, all for no reason. I emailed Ticketmaster to complain and got no response from them. I was already upset at the gross oversight in customer service when the show was cancelled but their lack of response to my complaint has made me very angry.

Contacted Ticketmaster customer support, by email first.
Their initial replies thru email were "We are currently receiving a higher than normal number of inquiries. We apologize, as our current response time is longer than we would like. We will get back to you as soon as possible; however, please allow up to 24-48 hours." I received the first excuse 4 days later of "cannot sell for less than face value," then after again sending 23 emails (I have documented each and every email and responses) and receiving different excuses from each email, such as anything from "I'm using the incorrect browser, they are working on a patch to fix it," to "it's to late to resell because it's to close to the event date."
Then I started phone calling. Most of the phone call wait times were averaging out to 24 minutes. However, once I was in touch with a rep., I had to be transferred to the "proper department." Again more wait time. Once in contact with "proper department," I was told I needed to call a different phone number. This phone number went to TicketExchange. Yes, and you guessed it. More wait times and more excuses. This went on for 4 months. Yes, 4 months. By this time I was furious beyond all reality.
I continued to make my complaint thru the phone calls, again, with zero results. Each rep I spoke to, I recorded their name and employee ID. I spoke to the bottom of the barrel to the highest level supervisor the trash would transfer me to. Again, the same excuses. I also requested a refund for the tickets, but by then, I was too late. I had lost track of time. And no, you couldn't even imagine because you did not experience it.
Then, 4 days before the concert date, I received an automated email from Ticketmaster stating "Ooops, your concert is in a few more days and you still have tickets to sell." Furious? Not even close. Now I am, well, I can't post it here for fear of incriminating myself. Let's just say I was beyond furious. Then, to add more garbage to the fire, today, I keep getting emails that Ticketmaster is unable to deposit some of the ticket money I resold. They have asked me to reenter my direct deposit information. They have done this 3 times since this writing (7 Jul, 2015) of this post. Can you believe it!!? Yes, I certainly can. Now I am battling this new issue. The previous issue was never resolved and Ticketmaster does not even care.
I did sell some tickets at the original price. However, in the end, I had lost $1,281. There are many more details to this nightmare and I am upset I did not record all of the phone calls. But I do have most of the email correspondence and some reps. names and employee numbers. Oh yeah. In the end again, I started researching for locations and phone numbers of the actual owners of Ticketmaster, with no avail. I would just love to meet them face to face.
I am so worn out thru all of this. I can't even seem to focus anymore. However, I do know if I want satisfaction, I need to continue to pursue this. I am now beginning the process of obtaining a lawyer and contacting the Attorney General. I was also thinking of contacting CNN and Fox News. I am also hoping many others out there had similar problems and were interested in a Class Action suit. Whether or not this helps with my situation, time will tell. So much for customer service. It's a crime. It does not and probably will never exist ever again in yours or my lifetime. Pathetic! Isn't America great?!

My wife and I purchased tickets for an event for her parents as a gift through our Ticketmaster app. On the delivery options page we selected e-delivery as we have always done for other orders and subsequently received our confirmation email with a link to the tickets. However when we went to print the tickets, we were instructed that we had to show up to the door with our CC and picture ID to get in, a rather LARGE detail that was NOT disclosed through the app and the purchase screen at the time of purchase. When I called customer service to inquire about this and how to obtain actual tickets to give to my in-laws, I was told that I have to show up at the door (I live in another city) and show my ID and CC to get them in to the concert.
When I stated this was not disclosed through the purchase screen or delivery screen, I was told that I was incorrect, that it was there (despite my having read the screen twice) and having selected the e-delivery option myself. The "customer service" (service used very loosely) representative responded by saying that "it's written online" and had no response when I stated that it was not disclosed or stated at the time of purchase and was only discovered when I went to print the tickets. Again I was basically told that I was out of luck and will have to physically drive to another city and show my ID and CC just so that my in-laws can go to a concert. Thanks Ticketmaster, for ruining what would have otherwise been a fantastic gift for my wife's parents. It has become abundantly clear why so many people complain about this company and why so many artists dislike them. Perfect example of the type of service you receive when there is no competition.

I have been going to the theater for over 50 years and have never had a worse ticket-buying experience. First online: molasses slow service. Poor navigation. OK. Call on phone. MISTAKE. Program insists on getting and giving all information. Do you want to buy tickets? What City? Name of venue. Confirms name of venue, city, state, address, zip code, phone and type of venue. Then address. Then name of event. Then reviews all seating options. Then reviews prices. At each step if you ask for a representative it repeats all previous info and tells you it needs more info to get a representative. I am sitting with the exact seat numbers I want from online research and answering fifteen minutes of questions and also getting useless information.
The Lyric Theater is a two level venue with so many seats and such and such a location, etc. etc. etc. Finally speak to representative and she has to confirm all this info once again and then doesn't understand how seating in a theater does not require to tell her left or right if I have the exact ticket numbers. Ticketmaster has a monopoly and just doesn't care about its customers. And with the per ticket and per order fees charged, we should be getting royal service.

With less than two weeks to go before the show, I finally received the tickets and they are not the obstructed view tickets I was promised, they are “no view of stage” tickets. Needless to say I was not expecting a change in something that is rather crucial to the concert experience and do not want to attend a concert where I cannot see who is playing.
After being passed back and forth between the two organizations (Tickets - Today & Ticketmaster) I was told that I could not exchange tickets nor could receive a refund. If there is not already a law, it seems to me that there needs to be one that protects customers who do not receive what they are promised. I can send the email confirm to which I refer above. Thank you.

I spent $700.00 for 6 Lady Antebellum tickets, and travelled all the way down to Toronto to then find out our tickets were fraud, and I ACCEPTED THEM THROUGH TICKETMASTER WEBSITE. After being on hold with Ticketmaster customer service for 25 minutes I finally got through to a young man who was NO help, and was very quite rude with me. They told me there was nothing they could do and that i was out of luck. Really shows how much Ticketmaster cares about their customers... Just warning people there is a way around Ticketmaster and to be careful! I wouldn't want this happening to anyone else!

I bought 2 tickets for Shania Twain's concert in Moline, IL, and I read the refund and exchange policy. It is clear that I can exchange as long as it is not less than 7 days before date of the event. It said I can call 800 653 8000 to make that change and pay the difference, if any. I called, but they said that my tickets are resale and I cannot make any changes or returns because of that. I explained that the site doesn't give me a warning or a alert that I was buying resale tickets.
I called 877 446 9459 and I spoke with the supervisor and he told me that he cannot do anything for the same reason. I lost my refund and exchange rights because I bought a resale ticket, even though he told me that he knows that the site doesn't warn about resale tickets. I called 877 484 7858 and they read me the policy and told me that all sales are final. I explained that the site doesn't say anything about that, and they told they can't do anything for me.
I don't want to return my tickets, just exchange them. I want to give my wife better seats at the front and pay the difference, but nobody can help me. The site omits some important information that affects the customers such as myself. I lost my rights to any exchange or return because it is not written anywhere. The page is obsolete and rushes you to buy the tickets. It only gives three minutes to fill out all the information they need. I couldn't make it the first time and I had to try again from the beginning. I now had just two minutes and I chose the wrong seats because of the pressure. Now nobody can help. I am going to the concert but I could have better seats but I won't. Not even headquarters in California could help.

Long story short- Bought 2 tickets 3rd Row Janet Jackson at Amalie Arena in Tampa for concert on Sept. 24th. A tab came up saying "Official Platinum Seating" with a box that says "special bragging rights before and after." (I have proof by screen shot) So I went with it and bought each ticket for $380. Come to find out there isn't anything "special" about my seats. I went back on and the row behind me (4th Row) was selling for $149. So here a paid $380 and I don't get anything "special". Not even a free cocktail...When I called Ticketmaster they said my "special bragging rights" was that I could say that I sat in the 3rd row. REALLY?! Now that I know what "Platinum Seats" are (overpriced tickets that include no "special" benefits). I'll just sit in the 4th row next time and save about $230 per ticket.
This is HIGHLY DECEPTIVE MARKETING PRACTICES. When I signed up for this account on this site it said I may be contacted by an attorney. I hope an attorney contacts me. For Ticketmaster to say "special bragging rights before and after" is BEYOND MISLEADING and again HIGHLY DECEPTIVE and someone should be held accountable. PLEASE HELP!!! I purchased tickets for Jeff Dunham's show in Las Vegas when they went on presale at a "discounted" price. I requested the center of the first row in the first tier (not the floor) and the total for the 2 tickets came to $100.65. We went to the show last Wednesday and were in the first row in front of the stage and pretty far to the left of center. We questioned the usher about the seats and he said that we were in the correct seats. He also told us that tickets purchased at Planet Hollywood were $74 each no matter where you sat.
I ended up watching the show on the big screen because all we could see of Jeff and his "dolls" was their left side. I paid a premium price and didn't even get the seats I requested. The couple to the left side of us said that they purchased their tickets from Ticketmaster the same day as I did and requested front row center and paid $84. By the way, when we got back to our hotel, and Ticketmaster was charging $77.40 for the tickets plus fees and taxes. We do not plan on purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster again.

The concert if performed would not be the same event since this is a high energy alternative rock band with mobility required of the band's founder and lead singer. Ticketmaster declined saying that there was nothing they could or would do as the artist sat down for the rest of the concert and finished the show. God bless this man and Godspeed. I hope that everything goes well for David Grohl with his recovery. He truly is an awesome stage performer. I feel that 21 days will not be enough time for him to heal and would not expect him to. I do not wish to spend over $500.00 to see him suffer on stage limited by his injury sustained last night.
Ticketmaster refunded for Britney Spears which I commend them for when she broke her leg in Las Vegas recently. I would think that would of set a precedence on their refund policy but apparently not. They refused my request for a refund on tickets I purchased on November 7th the moment they went on sale. I can't afford legal representation so I am writing this to warn others of their customer satisfaction is really just empty words they use to promote their sales. How sad.

The lady I talked to offered to send in a request to the vendor to confirm this but her manager told her not to do so since their listing didn't say there were VIP tickets available.
I found out another show had VIP tickets still so I returned my Vancouver ones and bought tickets to Minneapolis. I then found out from Nitro Circus on their Facebook account that all $99 tickets are the VIP ones. Meanwhile flights to Minneapolis are $230 per person more than flights to Vancouver for us and the Minneapolis tickets are non-refundable. Everything would have been fine if the manager hadn't stepped in and had let the rep I was talking to complete the form she'd already filled out.

Let me preface this by saying that if these tickets had not been listed as "TicketMaster TicketExchange ONLY" and if we had not RECEIVED MULTIPLE CALLS from an AUTHENTIC TicketMaster number verifying the authenticity of the tickets and informing us on their buyers/sellers insurance, we would have NEVER purchased these tickets. My boyfriend and I were looking for tickets to a music festival this weekend, and found some on Craigslist. Normally we wouldn't buy something via Craigslist unless we could meet them in person, but the person wanted to sell the tickets through TicketExchange, which offers insurance to both the seller and buyer of the tickets. While contacting the seller, TicketMaster CALLED us and spoke with us about the process, ensuring that once the buyer received his money our tickets would transfer over to our TicketMaster account.
We used Walmart-to-Walmart for the transaction as the buyer did not have Paypal. Unfortunately, once the money was sent over from our end, we never received the tickets. Now when contacting TicketMaster, they say that they have never had ANY tickets for this event and that there is nothing they can do for us. I find this absurd on a multitude of points. Why did TicketMaster call us from the VERIFIED TicketMaster number BEFORE the transaction even took place, while we we’re still in contact with the buyer before we completed the money transfer, and not clarify what tickets they were? If TicketMaster had verified the type of tickets, we would have realized that the event tickets were never available on their website whatsoever. Response from TicketMaster's Customer Service: Someone probably "downloaded an app to put our phone number over their own and faked our identity".
While this may be the case, regardless, it is not the consumer's responsibility to go through an identity verification check to make sure I am indeed speaking with a TicketMaster representative and not some fraud. In an effort to mend our losses, I asked the Customer Service Rep, **, if there were any after party tickets they could provide us with (averaging $20 versus the $400 we are now without) since the sole purpose we bought these tickets was due to the fact we were called from their customer service number (800-653-8000) and believed it to be authentic.
She said there was nothing she could do, since the remaining tickets to these after parties were sold via TicketWeb and Live Nation. What is the purpose of selling these tickets on your site if you cannot provide them to deserving TicketMaster customers? I do not understand the purpose of acting as a third-party distributor if they're only available through the other sites. Can't say we will be using TicketMaster any time soon (if ever) again.

I decided today (April) for an event in November to buy premium tickets. I had looked at other tickets - where seats were confirmed and insurance offered in case of cancellation (likely by Nov) but nothing further forward than Row E. To get anything between Row A-E you have to pay considerably more. BUT you are not told anywhere on the site that you will neither be told the seat number (and some numbers even in the front rows are not good) or offered the ability to take out insurance on your MORE expensive seats. The manager was hearing nothing of this. He said that for years this service was well received.
I think if you pay more you should expect AT LEAST the same level of service as the cheaper seats - not WORSE. I am outraged. I fear that this is a success as people (especially visitors to the UK) will buy these tickets regardless of the stipulations. Thus, they remain inaccessible to the normal folk who would be willing to pay more for better seats but want the same kind of guarantees for as with the 'normal' seats. I felt talked down to and told that each website was different (even Ticketmaster websites) and you had to read the T&C's. What a waste of time - and possibly money. I won't know now until November even though I had to pay more for delivery (and would have even had to pay for collection at the theatre). I tried booking my tickets online, put my home address in, and Ticketmaster would not accept it. They declined my tickets. I then tried again, using the address in Kissimmee at which we were staying, sent it off and got declined again. The next day, which was a Saturday, we were going to Legoland so I called Ticketmaster again. Got to talk to a guy named ** and he told me the tickets were declined again. I asked him why. He said it had to do with the address. The address I entered is where I have been living for the past 20 years. He then told me I had to book again. I said, "You are kidding." Anyway, I booked again for the 4th time. Stressed to ** that, "I hope you guys are not charging me for the previous 3 times I booked." He said no and finished entering all the information needed, told me what seats we had and said, "You will have your online tickets emailed within 10 minutes." So when we got back that evening, I checked my email, and guess what, tickets were still not there. This is the 3rd day now and the game is the next day.
I picked up the phone and called, gave the girl on the other end the confirmation number, she then put me on hold. I must of waited for 10 minutes and all of a sudden a guy came on named ** and said, "You are a fraud and we cannot issue you tickets." I was shocked and could not believe what I was hearing. This guy made me feel terrible and very upset in what he was saying. All I wanted was to go to a hockey game so my boy who is 10 could get to see his favorite NHL player (Stamos), and attend a first time NHL game with his dad and to be able to share this experience with all of his friends and family who knew he was going to be there.
The disappointment to me is unbearable and will always reflect on my experience of visiting such a beautiful place. I then proceeded to call Ticketmaster. I tried to reach the number listed on the transaction in California a total of 54 times.... it was busy EVERY time! Then I called the 800 line & after holding for 40 mins, I reached a person that was COMPLETELY rude & told me that if I would have called before 3:30 pm they may have been able to help me... THE TICKETS WEREN'T PURCHASED UNTIL 4:15 PM!!! Central standard time! So then I asked if I was pretty much screwed out of $200 & the rep actually answered yes. They also told me that I should just go to the event & not try to get my refund anymore... go to the event?? Really? In California?? So here I am, without my $200... without tickets for anything & completely broke.... How is this ok??? No wonder Pearl Jam & other musicians refused to use them for so long!!!

There should be an option to leave feedback of less than 1 star. How bad can this company be? Bought Kenny Chesney American Express presale tickets this morning. Originally we had 8 going so we bought 8 tickets. Two more decided to join so we bought them tickets too because we were the only ones with an American Express card. We bought 10 total, and now TicketMaster is saying the limit was 8. I didn't see that anywhere on the website. I finally found it inside a link in the fine print. I should've been notified of that when I attempted to purchase my 9th and 10th ticket! Now they're saying it's up to the promoters if they want to cancel any or all of our tickets. ALL OF OUR TICKETS?!? Talk about spoiling our good time.
No one at TicketMaster has the common sense to override this stupid rule and just cancel two of our tickets so we can abide by their ridiculous rule. Instead, they shift the blame to the promoter and say it's up to them and that they (TicketMaster) can do nothing. Well, it's not hard to Google who the promoter of Kenny Chesney is, so I called them. They say it's not their call. They say all ticket decisions are up to TicketMaster. Talk about being put in a pickle. Now what? Now I'm stuck with two our friends not knowing if they're going to be able to go or not. This ticket will sell out in minutes of going on sale to the general public so there's no way they'll be able to get tickets if their current tickets get cancelled. What an absolute mess. Just despicable service on TicketMaster's part. They need some competition so they can quit running this monopoly.

What an absolutely horrible ticket buying experience. The Hollywood Bowl site said tickets go on sale at 10 am. After 10 am there was still no link on the page. Called the Bowl and they said "You have to go to the Ticketmaster site." Went to the TM site and searched three times for seats in the area that I wanted. All three times the search came back with no results.
This is a show I very much wanted to attend so I purchased two resale tickets for about $113 over face value. Ten minutes later tickets are showing available from the venue in both areas I was interested in. I called TM to complain and they just say, "Sorry, your purchase is non-refundable." It is disgraceful that this company and its website encourage ticket scalping. They absolutely know what's going on yet they do nothing about it because they are making huge $$$ off of this SCAM. This is the first and last time I will ever buy a resale ticket from these con artists.

On multiple occasions I have tried to purchase tickets during pre-sale without success. I always get on early, and regardless of time tickets seem to sell out very quickly. Waiting for general sale is no longer a option. Regardless, it seems lately the only option is resale tickets through their website. I recently purchased tickets that way (for the first time) to a concert that due to weather was rescheduled to a MONDAY night. Unable to attend, I contacted Ticket Master. Since the tickets were resale they would not offer a refund - regardless of the fact that they were original Ticket Master tickets, and regardless of the fact that I was willing to take a small loss since the resale ticket was slightly more then the initial price. I feel like the "resale" tickets are a gimmick and feel suspicious that magically all the tickets are sold and everyone who bought them are now reselling within minutes of being bought.
Warning to anyone who uses this option: NO REFUND, NO EXCHANGE AND NO CREDIT options available. Thanks a lot Ticket Master. FYI: the performer's website said that customers could get refunds for the show just to contact the ticket sale company. When questioned about this, we were offered a 25$ gift card, and a "sincere apology", but not our money back - (tickets were >300$ total.) Using Ticket Master again? Most likely not.

When I reached agent they told me that I would have to call Wayfm... that they knew nothing about the special and they were independent brokers... then he hung up on me. So I tried to call back and the lines would not allow me to talk to a person. So I tried to go on-line to order and the website would not allow me to get the 4 for the price of 3 deal either. So I called wayfm and they told me the only way to get the tickets was through ticketmaster. So... back and forth a circus for more than a week and still haven't been able to get tickets. I hit the refresh button with 3 seconds left in the countdown until tickets were open to purchase and quickly clicked the button to see tickets. I thought I was lucky because I was in immediately with a 1 minute wait prompted to me by ticket master. I waited over 15 minutes with ticket master prompting me there was less than a 1 minute wait for me. Finally after over 15 minutes, I was prompted there were no tickets available.

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and in November 2014, I bought tickets to a Chris Brown concert set to take place in Columbus, Ohio on Valentine's Day, 2015. Fast forward to concert day. Pittsburgh was experiencing life threatening inclement weather conditions that weren't supposed to come for the next two days. Needless to say, there was absolutely NO WAY I could make the drive and risk my life for the concert. Therefore, I called Tickmaster and explained the situation to them.
At first, I was asking for a refund that they flat-out refused. Then, I asked if they could just exchange my tickets for a different location. They denied that also and said an exchange would have to be for an event at the same venue. Needless to say, I was not satisfied at all with the results because I ended up having to GIVE my tickets away to an ungrateful stranger from INSTAGRAM 30 minutes before the concert was going to start (BTW, their transfer feature on the TicketMaster app SUCKS). I really think they should revise their refund and exchange policy to consider that sometimes things come up and people can't make scheduled events. After all, their ultimate goal IS to satisfy every customer, right?

Tickets for the 2 scheduled concerts began 10am 2/13/2015. I was logged into my account 10 minutes before the announced sale. The sale started, I clicked on the purchase ticket link, and the site stated they were experiencing heavier traffic than usual and my wait time was approximately 6 minutes. They also stated not to refresh or leave the page as you would lose your place. I went from 6 minutes to 11 minutes back to 9 minutes. It then bumped me back to a 45 minute wait time. If I was on the site and refreshing the site would lose my place in line, then how would so many people cut in front of me to push me to a 45 minute wait. That's the equivalent of having thousands of people cutting in front of me.
I get back down to like 7 minute wait, and the site boots me out and tells me to search again. I search for tickets again, and the wait time is bouncing all over the place. I get down to a 5 minute wait, and the site boots me out again telling me to search again. During this time 2 additional shows are announced so I immediate try to get tickets for these shows. I start at about 10 minute wait, and move up to about 5 minutes, I get to a 1 minute wait hoping for a chance at buying my 2 tickets, and the site says it returned no results and to search again.
As a goof while I'm attempting the first time to buy tickets, I open a separate browser and go to stubhub.com and 3 minutes into the start of the sale, there are hundreds if not thousands of tickets listed on stub hub for sale for 2 to 10 times the price on Ticketmaster. I think this is completely bogus. This is 2015 and you're telling me has not come up with proprietary software that will allow customers to log on to their website without crashing. Not to mention the fact that people were able to log in buy tickets and place these tickets for sale in a mother website in 3 minutes. There's something fishy about that. I'd really like to see if stub hub was not paying a portion to Ticketmaster to get these before fans who want to see a concert and not make money. It's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

During this time I also logged onto several "ticket broker" sites to find they had tickets available, marked up from $70+/- face value to $150-$1000. At the 35 minute mark I received a message that tickets weren't available in the quantity I desired. How many years has TM been selling tickets and they still have yet to get a system to handle the high demands of these shows? And how many $millions$ have we all paid in bogus service charges that could have paid for an adequate system? If they can't handle the demand, perhaps they shouldn't be in the business. I get so frustrated purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster. They have a monopoly on ticket distribution and they take full advantage of it. No other company could get away with charging a $10.60 service fee per ticket and a $4.50 order processing fee for the privilege of printing out your ticket through their website. I would have to pay another $4.50 for standard shipping to actually have a real ticket from Ticketmaster mailed to me. While I was trying to find tickets on their site there were not many available. I needed to get 2 in a row, however most were in groups of 3 or individuals.
When I tried to purchase 2 out of a group of 3 it wouldn't let me because it said I would be leaving 1 by itself. So my money to purchase 2 available seats is subject to their approval? Hello fellow friends who believe in justice for the innocent, over. I bought a set of 5 tickets, 2 were allowed entry and 3 were denied. I bought for POP NYE on 12/31/14. After speaking with the event promoter, the venue and ticket master, I was able to find out some very disturbing information. To cut to the chase, Ticketmaster is at fault. Ticketmaster re-issued the 3 tickets that were denied entry to be picked up at will call and had the name changed to "Khang **" without my consent (the venue provided me with the details whereas Ticketmaster just admitted to an error on their side).
Let me repeat the last statement. Ticketmaster, without my permission, the buyer and owner of the tickets, changed the 3 tickets to "Tickets Not Received" and had them set up to be picked up at will call under another name, "Khang **". It does not make sense for me to call in to cancel 3 of my 5 valid tickets as "Tickets Not Received" and to have them be picked up at will call under another name, Khang **.
To make matters more complicated, I posted 3 tickets on Stubhub for sale because 3 of my friends bailed on me. Stubhub refunded the tickets as they were not valid and each of the tickets refunded were issued a gift card at my expense for posting up invalid tickets. As a result of these three invalid tickets I am barred from selling tickets on Stubhub. To make matters even more frustrating all these charges were funded by the credit card I had on account which was over drafted.
I was able to receive a full refund for my 3 tickets that were denied entry from Ticketmaster. I needed a written consent from Ticketmaster stating they were at fault for me to reinstate my stubhub account but I was given the same answer. Ticket master is not responsible for third party resellers. I know you are not responsible but all the problems I have to deal with is a direct result of Ticketmaster failing. Apart from Ticketmaster offering a 50 dollar gift card for the inconvenience they would not help admit fault via written response.
At the end of the day, I am simply sharing my customer experience with Ticketmaster. I am short of a stubhub account, a few hundred dollars, hours spent resolving a problem that could have been prevented, and a lack of trust in Ticketmaster. I will thing it over a few times before I commit to buying from Ticketmaster again. By the way I hope karma gets this Khang ** and I feel bad for the agent that was scammed. I **, the victim, am signing off, over.

I asked for the exchange, but after man emails back and forth with customer service, they told me to call in. Turns out they wanted to charge me extra to exchange the tickets. They claim that these new tickets are different. WRONG. They're the same tickets (general admission) but just on a different date. They claim I should pay the additional cost because I am purchasing new tickets. WRONG. I am exchanging for the same tickets on a different day because they cancelled my date.
Supervisor John ** was uncaring, unhelpful and rude, refusing to listen to my statements and only repeating his rhetoric over and over. Somehow Ticketmaster feels I need to pay them for the service of exchanging my tickets when the event was cancelled through no fault of my own. Isn't this what a ticket broker is for, to deal with this kind of mess? If I had purchased something in a retail store and came back a month later to exchange it, there would be no additional fees, even if the price had changed since I purchased. The same would be true if I had booked a hotel room. Once you buy something, *the price is locked in*. Why Ticketmaster can't see that is beyond me, except in that they're just greedy and fraudulent.

My transaction was completed at 10:02 am. I was completely unaware that I was buying resale tickets for the game! They definitely don't make it clear to the customer that that is what is happening. Why on earth would I be buying a resale ticket directly from Tickemaster? I wouldn't! It really does seem like they snatch up all of the good seats and resell them for a gigantic increase in price and fees! It is a huge conflict of interest. The only possible place for me to buy a ticket to the game at face value would be selling them for resale within 2 minutes of the initial public offering?! I contacted Ticketmaster and of course, they informed me that my tickets can't be canceled. He did however, offer for me to put them up and resell them on their site so they could make more money. My seats in section 327 were sold for $580 each plus $114 in convenience fee!! $1387 for 2 seats that sell at face value for about $ 170 each. I have spoken with my credit card company, however, by the time any dispute of the charges would be resolved, the January 10th playoff game would be long gone and Ticketmaster knows this.

That particular time I was also on hold on the phone with Ticketmaster for a live representative & on hold on another phone with the automated ticket system.
All three attempts were completely unsuccessful for that event. I would also like to add that a short time after the tickets went on sale on Ticketmaster and were no longer available, they were available for resale on secondary ticket sales sites (scalpers). Sad to think, I (the public) am unable to purchase tickets via Ticketmaster however, scalper resale sites operating as a business have a plethora of these very tickets (sold by Ticketmaster) for sale at excessively marked up prices. There is no waiting at the resale sites & great selections to be had - something is wrong with this system!

I have been battling with Ticketmaster for a refund for tickets that I attempted to purchase through their website, received an error code during checkout, and was charged without knowing I was charged. The error code prompted me to contact customer service during checkout, which I did, and no order was found. I then ordered a second pair of tickets believing the first order did not go through. I was then charged for both pairs of tickets. Here is my story.
After attempting to make a ticket purchase online I received an error code during checkout. I immediately checked my order history to see if the order went through; however, my account indicated no tickets in my order history online. I then called customer service. Of course I needed an order number which I did not have because I was never given one due to the error message. I was then prompted to enter the city of the venue and my credit card number to retrieve my order; however, again, no purchase was associated with my credit card either. All of these reasons led me to believe that the purchase never went through.
I then ordered a second pair of tickets and immediately received a confirmation number associated with my second order. Due to these reasons, I believe I followed the policy outlined in Ticketmaster's purchase policy completely. I did not "assume that an order was placed" because I did not receive a confirmation. I took the suggested steps to verify through customer service and no order was located. The policy does not provide any guidance once a customer follows the policy completely and finds that no order was placed. I believe that this is clearly an error on the part of Ticketmaster.
I am certain that any reasonable person that this specific problem is presented to will see that Ticketmaster knows of the deficiencies that their service has, therefore the error code issue is outlined in a fine print policy to fall back on when this problem arises. I have been in contact with Ticketmaster regarding this issue and they will not provide a refund stating that they do not own the tickets and must follow the venue policy. Furthermore, the tickets that I purchased are electronic tickets that I need to swipe my credit card at the gate for entry. This means I cannot even sell the extra set of tickets to recoup my money. I am completely frustrated and do not know what to do next.

I bought tickets for a show that was called off. The show would take place at the Madison Square Garden, NYC. As I don't live in America, I wouldn't be able to attend the show on the rescheduled date. I tried to get in touch with Ticketmaster, to send an e-mail to get a refund and it was absolutely impossible. The only way you have to write an "e-mail" is using of the site's page. But successive error messages appear and you will never be able to finish your message. They say in the FAQs that when a show is postponed, you are immediately informed. I was never informed of anything. I just could see in my Ticketmaster page that the tickets had their dates automatically changed. But how could I attend the show on the new date if I don't live in the US? Now I have just found out that the show has been cancelled again, and now for good. They say that in cases like this, the fans get their refund automatically. I can't barely wait to get my refund. Will I get it? To tell you the truth, I want to believe I will, but because of the problems I have had with this Ticketmaster site, I am not that sure. I hope I don't have to argue or go through a battle to get my money back. Hopefully they will refund me automatically as it is promised on the site.

I have tried ringing but just get referred from one number to the next and then finally back to the FAQ site, which simply does not seal with my issue. I am now missing out on purchases and get the feeling that Ticketmaster systems deliberately obstruct a customer from resolving their problems. It is also, incredibly time consuming when the customer is having to do all the chasing.

My mother purchased tickets from Ticketmaster for a show my brothers band was headlining, out of town (2.5 hr drive). Due to the short time frame she opted to pick up tix. She tried to pick them up locally & was told Ticketmaster cannot print tix that aren't local, but she could go to that locations site to get tix she purchased. She drives the 2.5 hours goes to pick up tix, & they tell her that b/c her Card declined the first time it was ran, but approved the second time it ran thru (got no clue why) they were unable to release the 4 tix she purchase ($200) to the show but she could buy more tix & then call Ticketmaster for a refund on the first tix she bought. She bought 3 more tix, which were cheaper & immediately started calling Ticketmaster, over & over & over until her cell went dead, she recharged & repeated calls, no one EVER picked up.
Once it was time for the show, she attended & then proceeded to call again. NOW THEY ARE CLOSED. The next morn she called & escalated to SUPER who tells her that "unfortunately b/c the show is over they cannot refund." Ticketmaster "set her up". They left her no opportunity to get the $200 tix she paid for, then desperate & out of town she bought more. They literally held the tix hostage. How can you take money for tix, and then never release them? If the card was so called declined, why did it pay the second run thru? Why didn't they put a release on the tix? REALLY that is fraud. Keep this story in mind when you use Ticketmaster & I'm telling anyone who will listen. It can't be the first time it happened.

I was online and in my Ticketmaster account the very minute that the Garth Brooks tickets were available. It took about 5 minutes to get the view tickets window download, but as soon as it downloaded, I immediately requested tickets. I used two computers and requested 4 tickets on each computer. I did not change screens or refresh during the next 2 plus hours. I had to restart the ticket search at least 15 times with each computer because the searches were unsuccessful. How could they take 10-20 minutes and be completely unsuccessful. Toward the end they became shorter, but no more successful until the nosebleed seats were found.
I don't believe it. If this were done fairly, I would have had at least one successful search for 4 tickets during the first time I was online. And after 2 hours and 35 minutes Ticketmaster finally finds tickets in the nosebleed seats. And they have the audacity to charge $4.25 for processing when the information clearly indicates that all fees are included in the ticket price. I cannot prove anything but I know they sold the tickets at elevated prices and only gave the leftovers to the people who were trying to buy them online. It would be very interesting to do a survey of the people in the good seats and find how few really got seats at $70 a ticket. And then 4 of the tickets I bought on Jan 15th were confirmed on Jan 9th and I never even considered Jan 9th. This is a scam and I am not going to accept it without making some noise.

Purchased tickets with a friend during a pre-sale event. She purchased her two using the seating chart for our venue and I went in immediately after on my account to purchase my tix in same row. I was logged into my account and selected my seats and they were added to my cart but when I tried to complete transaction I just got a popup error saying something vague about problem with my seats and telling me to try again. When I tried to refresh the page to see if that helped, it kicked me out. Told me tix weren't on sale. Apparently what happened was I was in the MIDDLE of my transaction when pre-sale ended so they didn't even let me finish my transaction. I felt that was an issue on their end and even though I knew they wouldn't sell me my tickets now since public sale had started, we could at least reach a compromise. They were completely unwilling to help or even be gracious or apologetic about their website issue.
Instead the rep acted like it was my problem and they couldn't possibly bear any responsibility for the glitch. She actually told me that if I got an error then the seats must not have been available! So all those blue dots and gray dots on the seating chart mean nothing?! It's just hit or miss? You have to select your seats from the blue dots on the chart and see if you get an error afterward when you try to continue, then go remove those seats from your order and select different seats just to have the same thing happen again. Really? Because this is exactly what I did before getting booted from their website. And the rep tells me that this happened to me because the seats weren't available! And she knows because she's been with Ticketmaster a long time! Again, really?!
I was nice and pleasant when I called hoping they could at least refund those seats so we could purchase seats altogether, but she was a rude, arrogant brick wall. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone who might have the authority to help me, she said she could but they weren't going to help me either. Ticketmaster is a rude, greedy, money-grubbing organization. AND when I called they couldn't even find my friend’s order, insisted I bought the tickets somewhere else! They were bought through TM and they eventually found the order.

Their antiquated system crashed and started randomly assigning shows. We show up at the event and tickets were printed for 10:30 pm show - instead of 6:30 show I had purchased. TM assured me I was mistaken - except the 10:30 show was not an option to purchase originally. I have purchased tickets through TM since I was a teenager 37 years ago. Filling out the purchase order Ticketmaster accepted the promo code twice, once at the beginning and at the very end. After submitting the order I found I was charged full price plus a fee which amounted to about 20% of added price. I was not too worried because they had a 72 hr. refund policy in the contract.
I called and was treated with arrogance I have never encountered before. They told me the discount did not apply to these particular seats so I said, "Ok let's change it to them seats then," of which they said no. I said I wanted to cancel then and they said the 72hr. cancellation clause does not apply to that venue. I asked why I was not informed that prior to submitting the order as any responsible company does and was told that's the way it is. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused with the response of "Why? He will just tell you the same thing." This is a warning to anyone who purchases tickets from Ticketmaster. They routinely engage in a fraudulent practice of adding on ticket insurance for about $25. Last February when I purchased four tickets for an event they had a clock ticking down giving me very little time to complete my transaction before canceling. Somewhere in the process they have you check a box for the ticket insurance. I must have missed it because I didn't have time to read through the agreement. When it turned up on my final bill I called Ticketmaster to complain. After much hassle they canceled the ticket insurance and refunded my money. I thought that would be the end of it.
As I was going through my October credit card statement I came upon a $16.99 charge for GREAT FUN. I called them up only to find that this was an ongoing monthly charge for membership resulting from my purchase of tickets last February. After calling GREAT FUN they told me that they would be glad to cancel my membership but that I was not entitled to a refund. Then they told me that they would make an exception and refund 4 months out of the 8 that had been charged. I told them that I wanted all charges refunded and threatened legal action. Finally they put me through to a supervisor who assures me that all charges totaling $135.92 will be refunded within 7 business days. I will be monitoring my credit card statements for this refund. I also got the name and phone # of the supervisor. I guess it's my own fault for not checking my credit card statements more carefully.

In July 2014, I purchased two tickets to see Rise Against at the House of Blues for me and a friend. I did this by clicking on the event on the House of Blues website and was then redirected to Ticketmaster to purchase the tickets. I went to print out my tickets yesterday and noticed that the tickets themselves say the wrong venue and the wrong date (the tickets I have are for a concert in Kansas City, Missouri... This is over 21 hours away from me). I KNOW I purchased the right tickets. I go to the House of Blues all the time, it's my favorite venue. I checked what the seating charts look like to see if they look similar. They really really don't. I also know I would have checked the information to be correct over and over again. So I called Ticketmaster to try to fix the problem, neither concert has happened yet. Figuring, at the very least, I would have to spend twice as much on the tickets to the concert I wanted to see now because there are only resale tickets now that it's September, unlike in July when I thought I had already purchased the tickets.
The first time I called I spoke with a customer service rep who didn't speak English very well but was at least respectful and trying to help, clearly hindered by Ticketmaster's policies. She informed me that the most they could do was to send something to the venue that Ticketmaster sent my money to and REQUEST that they refund them. Funny, I only remember giving Ticketmaster my credit card information and buying them at the House of Blues. I won't even hear back from them for 3-5 business days according to Ticketmaster. Which, especially after reading other customer reviews, is probably just another stalling technique from a company with what seems like a monopoly on ticket sales, terrible customer support, and policies that are more scam than policy. Also, I was on the phone for almost an hour because I spent half of the time on hold.
I called again later, and was put on hold a lot again. This service rep was EXTREMELY condescending and disrespectful. I explained the situation to her and she kept saying "This situation has already been resolved, there's nothing I can do," and tried to tell me it was my fault because the website asks you to confirm 3 times that the tickets you are buying are the ones you want. Even though I kept telling her I know I reviewed it and the 3 times I reviewed it, it told me the right venue. I told her she wasn't being very helpful or listening to me and she hung up on me! The last service rep was as helpful as he could be. Still informing me of policies that are awful, but that wasn't his fault.
So now I am holding a really expensive piece of paper that I can't do anything with due to Ticketmaster's error. An error that, according to other online reviews I have read, HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. I also think they should put the name of the venue on the receipt that says your order number & "Congratulations [insert name here], you are going to see [name of band here]." Despite Ticketmaster stealing almost $200 from me, at least I didn't drive into Boston, get parking, and get denied at the door. The tickets you print out are covered in advertising and only say the venue and date in little letters. I very likely could have not noticed they were off.
I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I am also contacting the venue that the tickets I do not want are at and asking them to accept the refund and advising them to read what customers think of Ticketmaster. They are an awful company with awful practices. I don't care what their fine print might say. I don't sign up to spend hours reading the policies of the websites I buy my tickets from, and neither does anyone else. & even if I were to, another company might say some of the same things for liability purposes and then have good customer service and proceed with their policies in a reasonable way. Now I know to NEVER USE TICKETMASTER AGAIN!!! (And for anyone who agrees, don't use Livenation either, Ticketmaster and Livenation merged in 2010 and are the same company).

I had to cancel tickets to a college football game due to my brother having a heart attack. I was within the 72-hour cancellation policy & called the so-called customer service line. Be prepared to wait, at least an hour or two, be prepared to be transferred numerous times to TICKETMASTER NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE & THE EVEN MORE UNORGANIZED SALES DEPARTMENT representatives who offered no help, no guidance, no remorse, no dignity, or compassion regarding my situation.
The mistakes & misrepresentation that this company is gross & wrong. Read the fine print, because apparently there is only ONE venue in the entire state of NM that is "eligible" & "participates" in any sort of refund - it's a casino venue, give me a break--so, if there is an emergency, they will find some sort of "guideline" or "rule" to make any amends of a customer who has been buying tickets from Ticketmaster for over 20 years. So, after speaking to numerous representatives, "Yes, you are within the 72-hour time frame for a refund", then "no, it is not a participating vendor", then, "if you would have done it seven days before the venue", which I was one day short of because of the weekend...which I had never read about, heard about, ETC.
They are scam artists. You can call as many times, talk to as many people as you can & your only response will be "I can't help you". The people whom I spoke to were extremely rude to me, they made it seem like it was my fault this happened & gave me really bad attitude. They also told me to go ahead & call my MasterCard because Ticketmaster didn't have my money. She then informed me that Ticketmaster doesn't even own the tickets, wow -- that sure doesn't sound good, professional or reputable.
They are basically rude, uneducated & inconsiderate. The representatives whom I dealt with during this entire nightmare are Anna, Jehu, Mary, Carmen, Veronica...these were just the ones that I kept track of. And apparently Carmen & Veronica are managers. You will get nowhere trying to get help with a manager, they will take the request, e-mail it to who knows where & then like many of the other people on this site & you wait & you wait & you wait.
Below is Ticketmaster's so called REFUND POLICY that I had to dig deep into their site to get.
Refunds:
"Get a full refund on tickets for participating venues and teams if you change your mind within 72 hours of purchase. Call 800-653-8000." COMPLETE LIE **Besides, you will only get transferred back & forth from sales to customer service, over & over. And you will hear different policies, non-policies, incorrect policies, rules, no rules, venues, ETC.
"Some non-participating venues (and artists, teams, etc.) have a "no refunds or exchanges" policy. But if the event is close and you can't make it, we'll do everything we can to help. Contact us!" COMPLETE LIE. ** They will not help or remedy your situation either way.
Do not trust them, they will screw you over. There's no way to tell where their corporate headquarters are located to file in the state they do business, but we wound up reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as a global complaint... Do your research and make sure when purchasing tickets you NEVER go through TICKETMASTER or an affiliate. If there are issues, you will be screwed!!!! Do yourself a favor, use Stub Hub, Craigslist, or a scalper, at least this way you are guaranteed some sort of option, as Ticketmaster offers NO REMEDY for what they FALSELY advertise.
And they want the "order number" of my ticket, ha--like that will help. I have been in customer service for over 25 years & never treated someone so poorly, or been treated so badly. Call your credit card, dispute charges, Better Business Bureau & most importantly WORD OF MOUTH... There is not one single person whom I know in my contact list of over 900 people & FB that will know about this horrific experience. Ticketmaster obviously does not care, but at least I can warn others. But I was informed I could sell it on the very website, with no problem. But, despite the fact they didn't send them yet (I have no barcode, but they promise send it to me through Nov 7th). As a foreigner and living abroad, I'm unable to be paid. They pay only by check (and obviously I haven't an American Bank Account). I demand to be reimbursed and, as I have no reason to hold those two seats on this venue, I'll gratefully release the tickets.
As a foreigner, I'm feeling very frustrated by this organization (Ticketmaster) and its "no law at all" attitude. Even in Brazil (that means: on a very messy country), I can cancel my online orders till seven days after place the online order. When I'd tried do that on Ticketmaster, I have had plenty of time to do that, but I was cordially ignored by Ticketmaster staff (I was answered with thousand of "sorry", but no solution at all). I just want my money back and I'll happily release them.

I have not been to a concert in 20 years. I purchased 2 tickets to the James Taylor concert on February 21st, 2014 for the concert that is tomorrow evening August 5, 2014 in Alpharetta, Ga. For 3 days I have been trying to secure my tickets. I have called 3 different #s for help to no avail. I called the Box office and they said to call a special Customer Service which I did and got a recording.
Four tries later, I finally got through and was told I would receive an e-mail to print tickets. After changing my password 2 times and finally getting through to print, there is nothing to print. It has been a great source of stress instead of a pleasure. Today I finally got 2 emails and the 1st email had 1 ticket in it, the second email had 2 tickets with different seats. I was not able to print anything at all. I am so frustrated over the time trouble and complete aggravation that I plan to never use you again.

I went on Ticketmaster to purchase three concert tickets for Drake & Lil Wayne. When I hit the confirmation button after putting in my card information, it informed me that there was a server error. I did not receive an email of any kind so I assumed I didn't get the tickets. I called Ticketmaster to notify them of the problem & the representative told me my debit card would not be charged. I then went on the next day to try my purchase again, & the same error message popped up. I tried again the next day, same thing again. I looked at my Ticketmaster account & it said that I had purchased nine tickets. I also looked at my bank account & I was in the negative $450. I was charged a total of $570 when I had only meant to spend $190 on three tickets. I called to let them know & they told me my money would go back in my account in 3 to 7 business days. When it got close to the 7th business day, I called to find out what was taking so long & the man I spoke to was extremely rude to me, he made it seem like it was my fault this happened & gave me really bad attitude. He also told me to call MasterCard because Ticketmaster didn't have my money.
MasterCard does not have a customer service line, there is no one you can speak to. I called again the same day, & about 4 other times over the course of the week. Each time I was told something different but was told again that my money would be back in my account by Wednesday the 22nd. It never appeared in my account so I called again. The woman I spoke to told me that I would probably not get my money back, that I would have to put the tickets up for sale. She was also extremely rude & argued with me over the phone for a good 45 minutes. Not once did she tell me about a form that can be submitted to appeal the tickets, & a committee votes on whether or not you get your money back. I had to call two more times & argue with three more people & it wasn't until I got my father on the line that they agreed to put it under investigation.
I feel cheated, I was lied to more than twice, & I'm sure that this is theft. Just because of a server error in their internet, I am forced to pay the penalty?? They took $375 from me, & they get to keep it, all because of a problem that they are responsible for. I called to address the problem immediately, so I followed their policy & they still won't give me my money back. I will never buy from them again & I will be sure to inform everyone I know about their lack of customer care & empathy. They are paid to lie & cheat their customers, not to mention argue back with them.

This is the worst company ever. They screwed my sister over very bad. The transaction kept saying it couldn't go through. Then they charged her three times. She never received tickets for any of the transactions and they refused to refund her. They said, "Sorry, ma'am that's our policy". Real ** policy you have... Apparently they strive to ** over their loyal customers.

Last Sat. July 19th, I "tried" to attend a concert I bought tickets through Ticketmaster to see Journey and Steve Miller Band at the White River Amphitheater south of the Seattle area. The venue was in such a miserable, hard-to-access place and managed and staffed so poorly, it took me 5 hours to go the last 12 miles and I along with MANY others, missed the concert entirely. I'm now sitting with tickets for August to Santana at this same venue and have no desire to be put through that kind of irritation again. I called T.M. and explained the circumstances and asked for a refund. They said my only option would be to re-sell them myself. Nobody... the Live Nation venue or Ticketmaster wants to take ANY responsibility here and I now stand to be out another $300 on top of the $300 I lost this weekend.

We bought tickets for my 14 year old niece to see Beyonce's on the Run Tour. We chose our seats carefully because my niece is short and we wanted her to be able to see and enjoy the concert. When we got to concert we're given new seats on the side of the stage where she could not see anything. She did not enjoy the concert. We could have listen to Beyonce's music at home instead of paying almost $600 dollars for nothing. I am not please and very upset. Beyonce is my niece's idol and to go to a concert that we had to drive to from Arkansas to Houston, TX and not get what we paid for is unacceptable.

Sold tickets through Ticketmaster - received email saying I would get my money in 7 days. Waited for the promised email to direct me how to verify my bank account and never got it. When I sent an email to customer service on day 6, they actually THANKED ME for reaching out to THEM and told me how to verify my bank account, then said it would be another 7 days before I got my money. When I questioned why the delay, no one would give me an answer and lied to my husband and to myself trying to make it seem that somehow we did something wrong to slow the process. They also tried to make it seem that our bank was the delay in accepting the money. They send two very small deposits into your bank account and you have to get on their website and GOOD LUCK finding where to enter the deposits in and somehow that verifies your account. We were never able to get to an answer that made sense as to why this was their process.
We were told, even though that at this point I had verified our bank account, that we had elected to receive a check - yet no such option was available and I clearly put our bank account information into their system for reimbursement. Someone else told my husband they never send checks. Someone else told me that we had to be patient. They hold your money using stall techniques as long as they can and only 'give in' if you kick up your heels and call them out. By the time the money was being deposited into our bank account - on day 14 - we received the email saying we needed to verify our bank account and that it would be another 7 days before we got our money. No one knows what they are doing there and their answers depend on what department you speak to - total disconnect between sales and customer service departments. Just one big screwed up mess of a company.
We will never do business with them again though they hide themselves behind other company names such as LiveNation and TicketsNow and God knows how many others.

I bought 8 tickets altogether for two different shows. I was automatically charged for the insurance which I neither want nor need. So tried to get through to someone at Ticketmaster for a refund. The email option on the website was not working and it took me two hours to get through to a person on the phone. I kept getting cut off using the number for customer services (0333 321 9999) but got through to someone after waiting on hold for 20mins (0844 499 9999) only to be told that I have to call another number for a refund (0845 641 9727). I will be calling Mondial on Monday as they are not open on weekends and hopefully will receive a refund. A very underhanded way of getting money out of people.

Yesterday, purchased on Ticketmaster two tickets on map which showed 'blue dots.' After purchasing, I realized that the tickets were way, way back @ MGM, so immediately contacted TM to see if I could exchange them for closer tickets. After several e-mails back and forth, I spoke to actual person today and she stated that I could not exchange tickets as I purchased 'resale seats' which were 'red dots' on map. I assured her that I did not purchase 'resale tickets,' but she pretty much said, "Yes you did and there's nothing we can do to help you!" Well, maybe from now on, if I want closer tickets, I might as well buy on 'Stub Hub' or some other website that allows 'scalpers' to post their resale tickets. Obviously it is not that secure on TM either! Signed disappointed in BC Canada. :(

We had purchased tickets for the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise for a Friday evening cruise. My wife was flying into Chicago to meet me, but her flight was canceled. I called Ticketmaster several hours before the scheduled cruise to request an exchange of tickets for another cruise during the same weekend. Mind you the cruises are conducted multiple times per day so it was not like I was asking for money back or to exchange for a completely different event, just a different time. They flatly refused to make an exchange or discuss other options resulting in our being out $75.70 face value of the tickets and Ticketmaster's fees.

On March 4, 2014, I ordered two tickets online for the James Taylor concert at the Jones Beach Theater on Long Island at a cost of $143.50. No immediate email confirmation of the order was provided. The charge came through on the credit card, without the name of the performer, so it seemed legit and I paid the charge. On April 26, I received a confirmation email indicating that Ticketmaster would shortly be sending my Country Megatickets. These tickets are for two shows - Rascal Flatts and Lady Antebellum, neither of which I have any interest in. I did not receive the James Taylor tickets, which I had ordered.
After spending several hours on the phone going through the Ticketmaster hierarchy, both on my own, and on a three-way call with Citibank, which is where my credit card account is, Ticketmaster's agents at any level continue to say that they are sorry, but the request for refund or exchange has been denied. One of the Ticketmaster reps even indicated that if I continued to pursue this claim, that I could be prohibited from ever using Ticketmaster again (as if I would ever want to). Ticketmaster's best suggestion is that I try to resell these tickets.
Citibank tells me that if the merchant's policy is no refunds/no exchanges, that their hands are tied. The Citibank rep even taped the call with Ticketmaster, and understood how ridiculous Ticketmaster's position was, but could not offer a refund. I've been a long-time Citi customer, and I am hoping that with some pressure, I can get Citi to cover this fraudulent charge, but that has not yet been determined. I am livid, and recommend that you stay away from Ticketmaster. I am surprised that I needed to give this review a minimum of one star, because Ticketmaster is worth no stars. They are pure scammers.

When trying to update the tickets price to get the tickets sold about two hours previous to game time, I was unable to adjust the price.....I received error that "Sorry! The service requested is not available at this time..." I thought this might be a problem with my phone, but tried laptop, and received same message. As a result of me not being about to adjust the price, I was unable to adjust the price to market value, and was not able to sell these extra tickets.... I even called a representative, they told me that you cannot adjust the price, but I have been season ticket holder from the Heat for over 8 years, and have been using the ticket exchange, and have never have this issue.

I went online to order tickets to the Motown Musical show as a Mother's Day gift for my mom. Found great seats for a matinee. During checkout, I was asked if I would like the Suite Service. At 45 bucks per person (there's four of us), I of course declined. Went to checkout, saw my total, was totally excited. Until I go to print my tickets and realize that the charge for Suite Service was tacked on. Immediately called Ticketmaster, who informed me that my seats come with MANDATORY Suite Service. If it was mandatory, why was I asked if I wanted it? Then came the ubiquitous No refunds, no exchanges, thanks for letting us rip you off with our fraudulent practices.
I was told the Suite Service was in some terms of service document that I had neglected to take 6 hours to peruse before hitting the purchase button. Note that there is a time limit on purchasing these tickets, so basically I have to be a speed reader who knows I'm getting hit with an extra charge and make my decision within 3 minutes. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. Took what should have been a great experience for me and my family and turned it into a financial nightmare. I will contest with my credit card, but really? Seriously? Hate them.

The explanation is, Ticketmaster sets the time they can sell these tickets. Ticketmaster was selling the tickets to this concert online for more than double the price. Ticketmaster also took all good seats! Corporate America strikes again! I'm disgusted!

I think it's unbelievable how Ticketmaster can call itself a great way to buy concert tickets. I wanted to go to the 50th Country Music Awards this year... But I see the tickets sold out in 18 seconds. Now I see why when I open up the web site Stub Hub and see that the brokers have thousands of tickets listed for WAY over what the general sales were for. On the ACM web site it clearly states ticket prices: $250 Party Zone (Standing Floor), $250 Reserved (Seated), $150 Reserved (Seated), $95 Reserved (Seated), $60 Reserved (Seated).
You click to buy tickets. It takes you to Ticketmaster where you can't find 1 ticket because it's sold out. The only places you can find tickets are web sites like Stub Hub where they are re-listed by brokers by the thousands at much much more than the cost listed above. Who can afford to pay $3,000 for a seat that would have cost $250 had Ticketmaster not allowed these brokers to buy these tickets in bulk like this? Why do these people even allow Ticketmaster to sell their tickets? I wish they would get a reputable company to handle the tickets and put a limit on the purchases... Give everyone a FAIR and EQUAL chance of getting to do something they may dream of...

Today just like prior time, ticket brokers already began listing tickets on StubHub. Guess if you're not a broker you cannot use Ticketmaster. Why don't the artist simply sell tickets direct or Ticketmaster find some way to establish filter to eliminate power dialers and brokers.
