I had an account and paused it for the last couple of months. They charged me to renew the account, 89.99. I immediately saw the notification of the charge and deleted my account. I asked Bumble for a refund, which they refused. This was the same day of the charge. They did not send a warning that they would be charging me, as a reminder. Not doing so is a very sketchy practice. A consumer should be alerted. Bumble refused to refund me. Be careful!

I've used Bumble for a while and at some point, for economic reasons, purchased life-time membership. Never had issues with them, used to praise with everyone I spoke with. However, my recent experience has been so negative that I would no longer recommend it to anyone. After not using the app for about 1.5 years I tried to resume but was unable. Played with it for about a week, then reached out to the Bumble customer service. The reply was shallow instructing me to do what I had already done. The next two replies from Bumble were mirroring the first one, and so I explained my issue again and again.
Getting dead-ended I called Apple, to make sure everything was clear from the phone settings side. It was! So I wrote again to Bumble explaining just that - there are no other variables to blame for the Bumble malfunction. This time they replied acknowledging a bug in the app. However, the repair forecast was vague - when they finish fixing bugs other customers were having. That was close to 2 weeks ago, I haven't heard back from them again. Here I am, with the paid lifetime membership, unable to use the app and no idea if or when I'd be able to start using it again.
Separate note is about the changed pattern of the Bumble customer service. They reply now in the middle of the US night time, at the best - only once per night, and while answering, don't get to the bottom of the question but circle around, as if wooing you. My guess is that their customer service got outsourced to India, which may explain (though not justify!) such sharp decline in the Bumble customer service.

Once I started to complain about the poor customer service response, they decided to block my email address to lodge further complaints. Now when I fill out the contact form and enter the very same email that is on my account, and have been using to correspond all this time, it suddenly says, “enter a valid email address.” No matter which of my valid emails I use, the same error comes up, and I can not send a message to them.
At the same time, they seem to also lock my connections with the women I’ve been communicating with, and those I sent mutual “likes” to. I was having a steady stream of correspondence, now, nothing, completely dried up even though I’ve been reaching out to 5 x’s as many women as I did before. They never did address any of my issues, they simply had a “bot” take key words from my text, and send a generic “bot reply”, that had little to do with what I was actually complaining about. If they are preventing me from using the site, I shouldn’t have to pay for it. Below is a partial example:
"I’m suspecting your reply to my problem was generated by a “bot” because it didn’t address my issue AT ALL! This limitation is flawed! People are busy and not addicted to going online dating sites daily! I as the sender should have the option to resend, or at the very least search of the person's first name as a possibility to reconnect. I was in the middle of a conversation with two women, and the next thing I know, when I checked, they were gone! Their profile, pic., listing… gone! They both were receptive to our conversation, and even wanted to video chat. What happened?! I’m having a growing list of how awful your web site is. Now, no matter which valid email address I put in, it will not accept it! Can your web site get any worse?!"

In my experience not a single Bumble contact has materialized into an actual meeting. I have been on it for several months. It's entertaining to look at the pretty pictures, but in my experience if the profile shows a young, pretty, ** woman she will only want to text with you and will try to move you off platform to WhatsApp or phone texting after just a few texts. She will not do a video chat. She will not meet. This raises my suspicion of it being a fake. I think bumble has to try to get some kind of vetting in place to reduce the fake profiles or their success is going to be very limited as reflected by their stock price.

Rather problematic at best, particularly from the technical perspective. When I went to use another Apple Machine with an obviously different IP address, Bumble deleted the profile and history and only did a partial restore. While many of the women clients are extremely attractive and accomplished, much of the behavior I encountered was even flakier than on the other sites. Having only 24 hours to respond to a swipe right takes the celerity overload to the next level. I saw far more Misandrist verbiage on Bumble than elsewhere with quotes like "grow a pair" on a number of female profiles. I cannot recommend this site for men as you cede far too much control while being given the step-child treatment. While it is billed as more equitable, it actually comes off as more hurtful.

After a while of being on Bumble, you learn a thing or two. What I learned is that Bumble themselves (not users) insert fake profiles and entice you to pay for premium features. Before you pay, you can see matches that are obscured, after you pay they disappear! Bumble also tells you to pay for 'Super like' and send 'compliments', once you pay for these and send a compliment, the 'person' responds with a bot like generic response that you definitely know it is not from a human. A lot of my texts went unanswered and then mysteriously the person 'unmatched'. You go back to swiping endlessly. If this isn't a scam what is? I was on the Bumble app for several months and thought it was pretty good but then received a notice that my account had been terminated because of a complaint from someone. Apparently, someone I had met years before I was on Bumble harbored a grudge against me and complained after I, unaware she was still angry with me, simply swiped right on her profile. I can only imagine what she may have written in her complaint as Bumble would not share it.
What I find objectionable is that after a thorough review of the Bumble terms and conditions I am 100% certain that I didn't violate any of them. Apparently, they always decide in favor of the complainant and do not even require any evidence to support accusations. There are plenty of dating apps so I don't care about not being able to use bumble, what I do care about is that I paid $250 for a "lifetime" membership and they refuse to refund any $ and because more than 120 days passed I can't even reverse charges through my credit card company.
Your luck may vary but I recommend that you don't believe that a "lifetime membership" is in anyway durable on this app and frankly, I prefer to do business with those who value all of their customers. If I could give this no stars I would. This so called Dating site is the worst. Even after you report these disgusting men they don't ban them at at all. Bumble could care less if you report these men or not, they do nothing. I will never use online dating again as they are all the same, disgusting men looking for hookups, and clearly it must work because someone is hooking up with these losers. Women, if you want to take back your power, get off dating apps, if you make it way too easy by agreeing to hookups you will never find a man who will treat you well. I truly believe men in their stupid brain actually think if a woman is on a dating site, she must put out, yup that is how stupid these idiots are. I personally would rather be alone than go on another dating app....ever.
Bumble says it empowers women, exactly how are you doing that? This app was designed by a woman so she should know better. The only positive thing is you won't get messaged by random men, since there has to be a mutual match, but once you do, that is when what appears to be a normal guy turns into some disgusting thing. Single is Better, in fact it has been proven that dating apps have no interest in you ever finding a good match, it is designed to keep you on the hamster wheel. I say stop, get off, and men, for gawd sakes behave. So in conclusion Bumble and all dating sites are out of touch, and time for them to go.

MOST EXPENSIVE SUBSCRIPTION BUT STILL: have to play for your profile to be on a spotlight more than once per week, filters is restraining. I have noticed that without filters I saw people that should have been in my pool not appearing at all. After I registered as a user I proceeded to browse a few profiles. Spent about 15 minutes during which I could see the so-called "Beeline" growing exponentially by the minute (this is the number of users who supposedly liked my profile. It is obviously fake considering the implausible rate; it is just a way for Bumble to entice users to upgrade to premium since the free level only allows seeing how many users 'liked' you, but not their details).
An hour later I tried to access Bumble again, only to see that my account was now blocked which was quite a surprise. Reason given was vague, something to the effect that multiple users have reported me for not following site guidelines (which is interesting, since the beeline was basically exploding). Mind you, all I have done was to browse a few profiles. Never got to match or communicate with anyone. My profile contained some minimal information, normal pictures and nothing offensive or misleading.
I used the feedback form to ask for explanations and to reactivate my account. To my surprise -again- they replied that my account will remain blocked and referred me to their fine print disclaimers and legalese gibberish. NO EXPLANATION as to what exactly in my profile was 'at fault'. At this point I was done with Bumble but wanted to ensure that the information I provided during registration will not be used in any way (email, birth date, pictures), esp. to prevent my profile be kept active for other users in order to appear Bumble has a large database (many others I read here complained about fake profiles) so I requested my account be deleted.
Below I copied their reply:_____
To proceed with your Data Erasure Request, we'll need to verify that you are the profile owner. We do this to ensure we do not delete information at the request of an unauthorised person who has no right to request erasure.
We offer several ways that you can verify your identity. These are as follows:
1. Reply to this email from the email address linked to your Bumble profile and confirm that you wish for your data to be erased. To use this option, your email address must be confirmed.
2. If you can log into your profile, contact us via our Feedback Form. Your email address must be confirmed to use this option. Please search Bumble in your inbox and follow the steps on any confirmation emails you may have received from us. If you can't find this email, please also check your junk/spam folders.
3. Confirm the following two pieces of information about your profile:- Registration date (day, month and year)
- Date and amount of your last transaction with Bumble, or confirmation that no transactions were made.
4. If you can't verify using one of the options above, you'll need to send us a copy of your photo ID to prove your identity. Examples of suitable documents include a passport, national ID card or driving licence. We'll delete the relevant document promptly after we have verified your identity.
In some cases, we may ask for more information to prove profile ownership if we can't identify you from the information provided.
______
#1 and #2 are not applicable to someone whose account is blocked. #4 is laughable (who is going to provide passport information??). So I provided the requested info under #3. After that I received NO answer. Logic follows that if they decide to block an account on the day it is created they should delete it too afterwards. And since I used my email in communication with them it makes no sense to request it from me as a condition for data erasure. I suspect the capo in charge of blocking accounts simply disliked my profile (I mentioned I am looking for active and fit women and I am atheist) and this was the reason for my blocking. You can draw your own conclusions.

(2) You can't set your filter to look for people who LIVE near you. The app can only recognize current location. I live near an airport. They assured me this wasn't happening but then today there was a glitch and I refreshed and lo and behold there were 2 different men's pictures on the profile and in the profile pic was no longer a ** middle age male but a teenage ** male. When I called him out he deleted his profile. This has happened 3 to 4 times in 2 weeks. You no longer know who is real or who is fake, I'm paying for a site with lots of games that found a way to infiltrate their system and no one at Bumble cares about the safety of its paying customers because the game pay too.

I signed up for one month and intended it to be just a trial to see how the app worked for me. I was careful to NOT push any auto renew button, but Bumble sneakily makes your Apple subscription set itself to auto renew instead of allowing the client the option to NOT auto renew. By the 30th day, I knew this app was no good for real dating for a senior guy (65) and had decided to let it auto-expire. I then got auto bill notice from Apple.
Immediately, I deleted the entire app account and asked Bumble to credit my credit card back as I obviously had not used any of the second month. I also wrote Bumble customer service and was given a glib response that it was too bad for me and they would not credit my account even if it was now deleted. I wrote again and stated I would leave a bad review as well as instruct my credit card company to stop payment. Bumble wrote back and the message was basically - "tough luck" go ahead and try with the agent pointing me towards their user agreement which has the auto pay buried within it. Bumble customer "service" is a joke - BAD business model too as I intend to spread the word about what a sham this app is for just draining your bank account...

Bumble is a complete waste of time. As a woman, it takes time and energy to match with men. Then when you receive a response, the men don't take the initiative to connect outside of bumble. As an adult, I'm too busy communicating with men who are beta or too weak to make a connection outside the app. In addition, you also run into the men who feel deserving and entitled to ask you for a sexual relationship without earning such a thing. So the app is a waste of time.

At first I thought this app was great as I was getting a lot of recommendations in my location, but as time went on I would be lucky to even get 3 now. I even updated my distance to 50 KM and still 3-5 a week. If I am lucky to get a match they just never message me for whatever reason. It's nice that the lowest membership price is below $10, were as most sites charge over 40$ just to see who likes you. On the rare occasion, I get a like that pretty much happens once every few months and most of the time they live WAY out of my location.
Usually, they live in an entirely different city than me. I get my hopes up thinking they are near me so I pay for the membership only to see for example they live in let's say Calgary and I live in Toronto. I'd personally only want to do in-person dating, not online. So that's why I'd like for them to be in my location. I will say this app is a lot better than most apps or sites out there such as POF, Match, OKCupid. But for the suggestions, it's not that great.

First, I was asked to swipe and I did not knowing that I would be charged extra on top of the membership. I got excited when my liked climbed up to 50. I took a chance by saying hi to these guys. I've noticed later on that some of these good looking guys who put a check marked on my profile their pictures have changed. Then, I tried to changed the area of my search hoping to get more choices. But I was given pictures of women. Mind you, I'm not a lesbian. I had to go back and reset my search.
Finally, there was a guy who took the time to chat with me. But he was rushing to start the conversation so I gave him my backup cell phone number. Well, this guy was very charming and we connected quickly. But got the shock of my life when the wife intervened and started harassing me. I immediately reached out to customer support to issue me a refund and cancel my account. They replied back by giving me pointers to finish my account and be more detailed with my profile. I tried again to post my complaints but nothing happened. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS SITE. They will only take your money and leave you in the gutter. I have better luck in other sites. They do not allow cancelling your payment method on the mobile app. They asked me to go to the bumble website (not the app) to unlink the payment option for not getting charged.
As per bumble their subscription runs by every 6 months (which they do not mention clearly). If you do not cancel every recurring subscription then you are charged. So, I'm athletic, handsome, adventurous, brave, honorable and wealthy enough to be traveling to Italy, Albania, and Greece this year for a month. After hundreds upon hundreds of right swipes (between 500-1,000), I have received 0 matches. I used Bumble in 2019 and matched with someone back then but, that was three years ago. And of course, it didn't work out. She wanted someone wealthier than I, and that is perfectly fine.
Is it Bumble or has woke politics, mandates, and super hero movies put women's expectations to very illogical levels? Is my income too low? Do you need to be a millionaire now to find a date? I'm extremely polite and well mannered, on par with chivalrous men from my grandparent's generation so I know crude behavior isn't a factor. What's the catch? Paying for the subscription doesn't work at all. Nothing changes except you get to see people in your Beeline that don't match up with any of your preferences and they live nowhere remotely close to you.
Either Bumble is a scam or women have raised the bar so high that their expectations will never be met by anyone. Either way, after three weeks of everyday use and trying the preferred subscription for a week, Bumble has landed me zero dates and three likes from women I had no interest in. The numbers just don't add up. I guess it's possible people have changed so drastically in the last few years that anyone who doesn't talk like a teenager desperately seeking praise for their TikTok videos doesn't stand any bit of a chance. I had tried Bumble a couple of years ago. Bad experiences. Was stood up countless times, men were just wanting casual sex, they lied, they put photos on their profiles the at were many years and pounds ago (I'm talking 10, 15, 20 years ago and the men in person were 10, 15, 20, 30 pounds heavier). Pretty bad for a company that promotes itself as women friendly. One day last week I decided to install the app on my phone and made the very deliberate decision to only opt for one day subscription just to see if things looked like they had improved. They hadn't. Quite a number of the profiles were of men from my previous bad decision to use Bumble. Again, photos on a number of profiles were 'old'.
That night I uninstalled the app, and cursing myself for thinking for a moment that things might be better. Silly me. BUT Bumble kept taking $4.99 out of my account every day for 5 days until in desperation I rang my bank and cancelled the card I attached to account. I tried, in vain, for three days to find a contact number so I could talk to someone at Bumble. Guess what? No number to call when there is a problem. I tried emailing and explaining my dilemma and I kept getting responses from a Freddie in customer service that uninstalling the app won't cancel subscription and to read Ts &Cs as it tells you how to cancel.
This is not made clear on the small screen of a phone. Bumble should make this very clear, in big print at top or near top of home screen. I kept responding to Freddie that because I had uninstalled app I had no way of canceling subscription. I got onto app again and again it was unclear as to how to cancel. It was obvious I wanted to cancel but Bumble kept draining my account every day. $4.99 a day may not sound like much (it is when you don't have app on your phone and you are not using the service) BUT, I am a single mother of a child with special needs. I am a relief teacher and due to covid and three surgeries on my esophagus at the end of last year. I have not earned income since beginning of November last year.
Here in Australia we have Christmas and Summer break from last week of December until beginning Feb. I think I'm down to last maybe $700 in both my bank accounts and here in Canberra whether schools go back when scheduled has not yet been decided. I have a mortgage to pay, medical bills, the list goes on. That is why my intention was only ever to check Bumble out for ONE DAY!!! In extreme distress I cancelled the card I had used which is costing me $15. Adding that to the nearly $20 Bumble has drowned out of my account I am now only buying groceries only absolutely needed, cancelling medical appointments, putting my life at risk and am absolutely disgusted at Bumble's business model.
Oh, apart from issues with my esophagus, I have a rare condition called fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD), a disease of the arteries which in my case has manifested itself as multiple aneurysms throughout my body. Some have been treated and some not. Most concerning is the two untreated aneurysms in my brain. The American Stroke Association states that, "Experiencing strong emotions such as being upset or angry will raise blood pressure and increase risk of cerebral aneurysms rupturing". My daughter's special needs and my FMD are why I cannot work fulltime. Being a secondary relief (substitute) teacher is bad enough considering my FMD. Bumble was not only draining my bank account in return for NO service or product, they are putting my life at risk. Please, please any vulnerable single people out there, don't touch Bumble with a ten foot pole. As to Bumble promoting themselves as being women friendly, I don't think so.

I am shocked I have been charged daily £1.99 and having done research after, it seems many others are scammed this way. I work in marketing and I know UX Design very well. This tactic is to confuse consumers and illegally take your money and then claim it's in their T&Cs which is not present or clear when you subscribe. And in order to fulfill their scam, they send auto-responses and never read your emails.
I shared links to show where they have been illegal in auto-subscribing consumers without clear messaging. Under UK government law, it is 100% illegal to auto-subscribe. I used a third party 'Resolver' to try and get them to respond. Someone responded to say my subscription is cancelled yet no refund. And almost 2 weeks later, I see on my bank statement, they are still stealing money off me. They know most consumers will give up with auto-responses as the fact is, it will be near impossible to get a customer service response. I will be taking them to court as I have taken legal advice. They apparently block accounts based on a user's report/complaint, but the fact that anybody can leave a complaint (if you do not respond to their messages because you are busy or you politely say no to continue chatting with them for whatever reason) makes the whole process very unreliable and unreasonable. There is no telephone number to call the company and all emails to Bumble Support were ignored.
After trying for many hours, I could get a hold of a customer care agent on Facebook Messenger and told him what happened and that I was wrongly accused by Bumble (was never rude, inappropriate or abusive to any user). The agent wrote on chat that an investigation has been conducted by several managers and they all found my behaviour to be inappropriate therefore my account was blocked. When I asked for specific reasons/justifications, the agent said "our decision is final and we do not have time to provide evidences". He then went ahead and closed the chat/ticket abruptly.
I doubt there are any managers or anybody investigating such cases, and perhaps some BOT automatically blocks the account if it is reported by a user (no matter genuine or bogus claim). They don't respond to emails, there is no phone number to call so I doubt there is any real management. This makes the whole process opaque. As a business owner myself I generally don’t prefer to write bad reviews. However, I maintain honesty in my marketing and it’s unfortunate some businesses don’t feel this is a requirement. If your product is worth the money then market it for its value, period!!!! They should be honest and tell you that if you really want to see and meet people you have to pay. It was absolutely horrible experience and a waste of my time!

It took 2 or 3 months for support to figure it out to tell me which is what makes the whole experience with this app complete junk, and I do not recommend to anyone.

The issue is the verification process (to verify that you are a real person). You have to take a picture of yourself in the same bodily position as the example they provide. That is not possible when one of your arms is tied up holding the phone & at a distance. A webcam is needed, which I don't have. So, unless you have a webcam, your registration will fail. Huge mistake. Luckily only paid for one month and already went to my app store and cancelled my subscription so they can’t charge me again. This is just like Tinder, men swiping right on all woman and then you message and they don’t even respond back. The only ones responding back wanted sex.
One guy talked about his horrible working conditions and I told him to contact our governor because two of our big factories GE and Ford got shut down for two weeks because they were not adhering to his guidelines. Our governor is not playing with these factories and I have a neighbor at Ford and one at GE and they are blessed by our governor. This guy says it’s government ran and I told him then nothing I could say if he did not want to take my advice. He messages back and said, "I don’t want support, I want sex." Really, pity sex. Had several other guys contact me yesterday looking for sex and changed my bio to not interested in casual. I already had on my bio was only looking for chat as we get through Corona. Then last night had two guys spew hate because I said I was not interested.
I have an incurable disease and this devil of a virus could kill me. My neighbors run all my errands because they want me to stay safe. So came on the web late last night and googled their reviews and they are horrible. So, went back on and changed bio again. Stating this was a rip off site and all guys do is swipe right on all woman. That all are wanting sex and to stop contacting me. Also said read Bumble's reviews. Then, swiped right on all men until Bumble said I had gone through all men in my area. If any message will just say read my bio and sure Bumble will ban me real quick. So, lost $35 that I could use on groceries.
I only wanted some social interaction with good people because I live alone and due to a work injury too can barely walk rn and can’t go to my parents and they can’t come see me, my mother has cancer and she can’t leave her home. This is 2020 and this nation has no chat app for good people. What does that say about our country. All these people designing apps and no one has designed one, probably because they know Americans aren’t looking for that. Dang Corona is going to spread like wildfire if the government does not step in. If people keep using all these apps for sex how will we stop this devil. I wish this whole nation would be put on quarantine now after my two days on Bumble.

As soon as I submitted my payment, I was able to view the 50+ (Which turned out to be 51ish) profiles in my queue. Majority of profiles were too far; Note: I’m 30 minutes away from major city Philadelphia.
My age preferences of 5 years I feel is reasonable. Numerous profiles showed only “current location”, which I realized soon enough are profiles of visitors to your local area. So once I plowed through these 51ish profiles, my vault was empty. This company is hiding a suspicious online business behind Orwellian newspeak and creepy/weird user requirements. Beware! After they try and bait you into a "forever free" extremely limited experience (especially for men) that is said to require only either your FB or phone number, you can actually get the access to your whole account (settings included) suspended anytime unless you give Bumble app access to your webcam and send their staff pictures of yourself posing as they ask (specific gestures). This is done in the name of 'identity verification' and you have no choice.
I have always been considered to be an attractive man by my peers (good-looking enough, 35 yo, tall, fit, well-dressed, college-educated, generating stable income, etc), yet have had zero match using the app despite 'liking' around 50 men and 150 women (Bumble friends & dating) over a period of three weeks (I would log in quickly every day). Absolutely zero match except for the first day I joined Bumble where the matching queue had two blurred faces in it that may have even been algorithmic bait.
In addition, I am extremely private about my phone number and only shared it with a handful of select people who would never share it without my consent. There is no way it would leak because of them. Since I don't have any FB and could only use my phone number to join Bumble, I gave it a try. My phone is now spammed every single day with up to 10 phone calls starting 516, 8xx, 9xx, all coming from scammers. I'm positive Bumble is responsible for this as it started one or two days after I joined and I've had the same number for years now. My daughter wanted to look at a dating app so I told her I would sign up so she could look at it and also because I wanted to see what the content and setup was like. Safety seems to be an issue on many sites. We clicked around and it looked like we needed to give a credit card number to really get access to the site. It is a poorly built app with very little user-friendly information. We found no instructions on how to navigate things nor did we find any solid explanation of what you pay for and how it works. I had my girl make me a profile because I wanted to spend a week seeing what is legit and what is not. There were immediate red flags. When I put in my credit card I figured I could always cancel.
The app kept going on and offline in a weird manner and then it would come back. It would cause glitches. I watched my daughter click around to see the difference in price plans. I figured I would see a $9 charge and perhaps eat it if I thought the site was too risky for my daughter to be on. But, when I saw a $79 charge, I immediately sent emails and went searching for contact info. All I got was a bunch of emails from different people telling me about some terms and agreements I had never seen. I asked them to send me a screenshot of my initials and me giving them permission to charge my card, but no one would send anything. They would not even correct the charge from $79 back down to $9.
Bumble is not user-friendly, nor is it honest. The glitches made it very hard to navigate, get help, or make choices without problems. It makes me wonder how many times the app jumps around when you are picking plans? Do they do this so that you can't tell what you actually clicked on? What they have done to me and it looks like hundreds of others is clear. They take advantage of technology and how it often does not work as well as planned. I watched my daughter choose a one month plan and yet we got billed for so much more. I will be taking action against Bumble to get my money refunded minus the $9 I should have been charged to begin with. Bumble does not care about customers. And wait till you see how shady most of the profiles are.
Go read all the negative online reviews. They are endless. Bumble has set up their app to confuse and shake money out of people. It should be illegal to not have more clarity for user purposes and signing up. The "boost" plan is tiny with no clear details and we never saw terms of any kind. It is an app built with protection for only one side of the customer/company relation. Bumble stole money from us. Shame on BUMBLE for being so dishonest in their business. BUYER BEWARE. It is a scam. I would in no way want my daughter using this site.

On 31/7/19 I checked my email and I had a notification that someone liked me from Bumble then on the 2/8/19 I tried to log into my account and I was blocked. I contacted customer service and to ask them why they have blocked my account and they told me that they have had several complaints about my profile and, "After an investigation and much consideration, we have made the decision to permanently block your account for being in violation of our guidelines."
I told them, "What are you talking about?" Told them that I have never even matched with any person so how can anyone complain against me and if they did complain I told them to show me poof and any evidence. They have still not respond to my email and won't even give me a proper answer of what I did. So if I could rate this app a -1 I would but it does not give me the option and I do not recommend this app and do not waste your money on this app and have a look at their negative comments and I can't wait for this app to go bankrupt and out of business cause it was made by a bunch of idiots.

This company has found a great way to scam customers. After setting up my account, it was hacked by an outside source immediately. I contacted Bumble for support and received this response - "Unfortunately, per our Terms and Conditions, all purchases are non-refundable: If you haven't yet cancelled your subscription renewal, please be sure to double-check the subscriptions on your mobile device to ensure you won't be charged for an additional billing period." I am not able to change my password because of the lack of support and now cannot use my account. So, Bumble gets my money, I get no service, and it is suggested that I cancel my subscription by the very company that refused to accept any kind of accountability or responsibility. Wow. I understand their posted policies, but these policies become unlawful when abused by the company - and that is exactly what is going on. Best advised to avoid this company.

I bought a six-month subscription. I used it for a few months. I found it to be not very useful. So I decided to not renew. The next part is on me, as I did not realize they would auto-renew me, and I probably should have. So, yesterday I get an email saying I've been auto-renewed. Within one hour of receiving an email from them to that effect, I use their Contact Us form to explain how I never meant to. I Google for instructions on how to cancel, and I do so. All that is left is for them to refund my money. Which they refuse to do. Their argument is that per their terms and conditions, I agreed to the auto-renew and while my subscription will not be renewed again, I have use of their service for six more months. While they are legally in their right, that is a total ** move on their part. I give Bumble Bizz one star.

This app has no place in a free, democratic society! Yes, you read the title right! Very biased against men. Bumble, if all men get treated the way you do and they leave, what are the women going to swipe right? Maybe you'll just like to make it a lesbian dating app. That would go well with your anti-men cancerous feminist values. First, only women can initiate conversation. How is this promoting equality? One must have a serious mental issue to believe that.
Second and most important: they ban a guy for any complaint they get from a disenchanted woman. Even worse! They will not tell you why you got banned, or show you the message that got you banned. Basically they are accusing you of something but you have no right to know what you were accused of or face your accuser. I advice the executives of this company to read a few of the constitution amendments: first, second and sixth. To all men out there: don't subscribe to this service. It's expensive and you will get treated badly. Don't fuel their business with your money!

I recently signed up for a profile in their (Bumble) dating app and then a week later they blocked me from the app. When I asked (several times) they finally told me I was blocked because they got “several complaints” on me and they did a thorough investigation. However I was not consulted and furthermore I only talked to less than 5 people from the app, did nothing offensive and still talk to them off the app. Bumble refuses to tell me anything I did wrong and has refused to tell me about my violation, nor allow me the respect of telling me what I supposedly did wrong. This same issue happened across 2 other similar dating apps - Badoo and Tinder.
I am extremely freaked out and worried that somehow someone has hacked my personal information and lied about me and my personal reputation. How can other dating members lie about someone and since I never asked anyone payment for sex/massages, wasn't looking for casual sex, nor at any time did I send nude pics - all of which I can say most members try to do. I was clear and only wanted clean friends or marriage. All I did was simply tell these rude men to go away and have some respect, and now I am permanently banned from online dating and for no reason at all. And how can these dating sites be allowed to ruin my ability to date online? I am very worried, how did this happen? How is it, that this can happen in a short time across 3 dating applications? I have never been treated so badly until I had signed up for these rather poorly run and unprofessional dating sites.
Why was I weeded out and then banned? Why are liars allowed to do this to other people? Maybe they need to examine their filtering systems and some of the bad men on these sites. How can this happen, and how come my personal information was not protected - it seems to me that these 3 dating sites had transmitted my personal information in between them, and without my knowledge and consent. And what’s worse, have blacklisted me in a sick, irrational way. I am very upset and unsettled over this... It carries many dangerous implications for me. So, looking into the future, what else will they do to further ruin my public profile online?

In addition to paying a subscription for boost, you can buy coins to use for super swiping or putting your profile in the spotlight. However, they no longer show you your coin balance. It only flashes briefly in and out of the way place when you spend a coin, so you cannot keep track of the coins that are disappearing. They also show you the same profiles over and over, so you end up spending coins super swiping the same ones over and over. The icing on the cake was when they recently replaced the button that you used to buy coins with a button that spends two coins for the spotlight feature. The new button is in the exact same place as the old button, looks very similar, and even has a label underneath that says two coins, which used to be your coin balance. So you think you only have two coins left, hit the button to buy more, and they steal two more from you. I had a lengthy chat with their support team to confirm that this is indeed intentional.

It gave me a choice of 4 subscriptions (one of which must have been selected, but that wasn't clear) and a button said "continue", so I thought I would have to find out more before they would let me remove the ad.
When I pressed "Continue" the message came up "purchase successful". AUD$110. At first you get tons of matches but as numerous people have mentioned, once you upgrade to the Bumble boost you end up with like 10 people and most of the matches are outside your location. Even after I upgrade I think I only matched with 3 or 4 people. None of them really wanted to meet and when you asked to exchange numbers to chat on the phone they either unmatched with you or stopped responding to you. I’m pretty sure Bumble is full of bots and fake profiles although Bumble says they make sure none of the profiles are fake. Bumble is awful. Avoid it at all cost. Come to find out it auto renews every week!!! Not every month at a much lower cost, but every week for the highest price available they have for the service. It takes numerous attempts for contact to only hear we do not offer refunds of any kind even though I haven't been on there since their so-called "boost".
Mine was a "Bust" and I'd have better luck finding and dating women on a all gay men's dating site. My looks are above-average based on a general consensus of women but yet didn't receive any correspondence from women within my same dating pool. I even went as far as swiping right on several hundred profiles randomly and still only receive interest in 1 or 2 women who were definitely not my type. Don't expect the slightest sympathy or concern because their goal is to take money and keep you broke so you can't take out quality women. They want you to date low-quality women so your dating life has a high turnover and you're stuck using them continually in the future, lol.

What in the Heck! How in the world can I be kicked from a platform for networking? Why would other users have the power to report and get you deleted? Here's my Networking: “Hello! How are you? I am on here to cultivate relationships to and to see if anyone is looking to buy or sell real estate? Your line of work looks interesting, I may know someone to refer you to!” That's basically how it works! So, to be deleted? That means that other "rude" people who don't want to be in contact, are intentionally reporting falsely...and the result is deletion. This platform is for NETWORKING! The person reporting needs to be deleted.
I received an email that suggested that copy and paste is not recommended, I followed ALL of the rules, and a few weeks later I was reinstated, and then deleted, and was told it was permanent, with zero recourse, not explanations, cannot even call to get a human on the phone... I decided to try this app about a year ago after becoming frustrated with Tinder and Badoo (btw, women, especially educated professionals would do well to stay away from this one!). As for Bumble, I liked the app because it does at least let you know who wants a relationship, if they have kids, political/religious affiliation, habits, etc., as opposed to the other apps (this doesn't mean everyone is truthful, of course). I liked the idea of being able to choose who I wanted to communicate with, but at the same time, I wasn't finding the right guy, either. Lo and behold I find someone I like and they never turn out to be right. But what's even frustrating is the fact that profile disappear and it seems to be the ones you really are curious about. For example, I'll match with a guy that I am interested in.
After waiting until the evening to send a message, I'd log in only to find their profile was gone. This happened to me about 3 straight times with the same person! And what's highly suspicious is that my subscription also happened to expire at the same time. I was frustrated and upset. One has to wonder if this is not an actual person playing games, but a sophisticated marketing scam to get people to "find" that lost person and extend their subscription. Don’t give Bumble any of your money. They will scam you and you can’t get your money back! First of all, these jerks banned me for no reason whatsoever. I read their guidelines, which are very short and concise. I never offended any user (hardly spoke to anyone), and my photos were legit and were the same ones the entire time. The other guidelines are routine like any other app or dating site. Since they won’t tell me who was responsible (which is fine), they won’t even tell me which guideline. If there were complaints, none were forwarded to me earlier.
Second of all, I’m pretty sure they just banned me because I was critical of their app and was very vocal about it – but what I’m saying is cohesive of what others are saying. I did get a warning when I was critical about their app, but seriously, this app is BAD!!! Bumble is such a bad app that doesn't work and it’s very sketchy overall. Let me go over some of the details that are apparent. The only thing I can think of is what I did is directly message users outside of the app. However, if people leave their contact info, such as their Instagram account, then that’s Bumble fault. Some women didn’t like me saying hi, but I told them where I found their username. Others were nice about it. So maybe this is why I was banned?
Either way, I don’t see why it’s a big deal to leave a social media contact on your profile. Of course, no site wants it because they would lose money. After your swipes are depleted and no profiles are available to swipe, you can wait a few hours and a few more will show up. I doubt these people just signed up so quickly in your area during that time, especially since you won’t get a match. This begs the question as to where these profiles came from all of a sudden. It’s definite that a lot of profiles are either fake or old profiles from the archives to get people to stick around and pay for boosts.
You may get the odd match here and there, but overall, you will run out of profiles. If you’re new, there will be a lot of profiles, but eventually, it won’t take long to “run out” again. You want to try this app without giving a crap? Put in a cheesy movie, keep your eyes on the TV, and swipe right the entire time. Just do it to see what happens. Without even knowing it, you will get a lot of fakes or old profiles and you probably won’t get any matches, especially if you’re a man. There were MANY times where I got a match from someone I clearly didn’t swipe “right” on. I don’t like to “blind” swipe. I used to do that a long time ago. So if these are legit, they’re “old matches”. And of course, none of them message me first anyway, so this confirms my statement here.
I actually ran into a lot of friends who said they deleted their profile a long time ago and was upset to see it on there. This happened many times. This also happens on Tinder as well, and I’ve had friends that I’ve run into that weren’t happy to see their profile still up. So this begs the question of Bumble keeping your profile, even if you deleted the profile from within, and the app on your phone. Many people aren’t active on this app. They deleted it but may have forgotten to delete their profile first. Bumble should “purge” these profiles or at least send them a warning about inactivity after, say, 1-2 weeks after not signing in. Then they can re-download the app and then delete the profile and then the app again. Otherwise, you’re sifting through old profiles all the time.
You keep seeing the same people time after time after “x” amount of days, weeks, or whatever the case is. This is very annoying. If you swipe “left” you shouldn’t see them again, UNLESS you want to. So have a feature that allows you to see previously left-swiped people from, say, over a 1-2 months ago. Otherwise, what I’ve had to resort to now, is blocking those people so I don’t see them again, which is something that nobody should have to do, nor what I want to do. Otherwise, when these types of apps keep doing this, it just looks like a cutthroat way to ask for us to “pay for more swipes”. You could literally swipe for hours and get no matches after several days or weeks. You may get one and I guess some women will swipe right for you once your profile has time to get out there. But you can’t message the woman unless they write you first, which doesn’t happen too often because they have a 24 hour window.
If they have no push notifications, they won’t even know about the match and it will expire. Do they have the option to at least receive a text or an e-mail? Nope! Alerts aren’t always feasible if they’re trying to save data. Either way, not being able to say hi to someone is just bizarre, and the dumbest thing about this app. Is it because women complain about weird messages? Well this is the only app where women go first. There are many instances where I saw a match I really wanted to pursue only to have it expire. The 24 hour daily extend wasn’t enough. Also, they could have swiped me a long time ago and no longer use the app. If notifications are turned off, they won’t know if they get a connection and therefore won’t respond. Can‘t they get an e-mail as well? I get the notification, but as a guy, I’m powerless to do anything.
Bumble has a clear partnership with Tinder, yet they deny this. Have you ever swiped for a while on one of the two apps, and then went on the other, only to see some of the same profiles on both during those times? I sure did, a million times! On many occasions after I see a profile on Bumble app or Tinder, I would switch to the other, only to see the same profile shortly thereafter. It’s definitely safe to say that people use both apps, but the coincidences of seeing the same person so quickly after going on the other app are far too numerous. Something is very wrong here! Women say hello and talk for a bit and then disappear. I don’t know if they’re signing in any more or ignoring my messages. They didn’t block me or anything, they just don’t say hello when I reach out to them and this happens too much. Perhaps these profiles are no longer active or they don’t come on anymore.
Again, this is the issue of not being active on this app and it’s a waste of time to keep saying hi. What is the point of showing that they have an Instagram account if you can’t view it? On Tinder you can click on a photo and see the app, and chose to make contact on there if you want. It’s just an excuse to sneak in more photos. Guess what though – most if not all of those photos are against Bumble's TOS on their regular photos. It’s a dumb feature! The 14 day boost trial is a very annoying pop-up to see. Have it on another section of the app and if people are interested, they can use the boosts. It’s so annoying to see this “advertisement” come up so many times. I don’t want to see the stupid thing!
Speaking of which, the Bumble Boosts are useless. All it does is allow you to extend matches longer. But again, if they don’t see that you’ve matched, it’s useless. You might as well just keep the match in limbo until they see it. And if their profiles would get purged, that would be the end of it. Considering your app has mostly negative reviews, (on Consumer Affairs and iTunes) I can see why. Can you just run a normal app without all these problems and loopholes that they’re mentioning? Worst dating app ever – I was so dumb to have used it for as long as I did. Do anything else people, just don’t use dating apps.

I just signed up for a one week subscription to Bumble but instead they charged me for 6 months which I can't afford. I wrote them instantly but they refused to switch me to what I wanted! This company should be shut down!!

So I usually do not put money into apps (no matter what type) only because I work in the industry and know better. Now I heard Bumble was getting people results in the dating app world so I decided to go against my own grain. I went ahead and purchased the "Boost" option to see what all the fuss was about. What do you know right after the transaction my matches disappeared and I have not seen any in a month. Funny as there was always matches displayed before the purchase, hmmmm...
To top it all off this app is littered with fake profiles and bots to entice the user to be active in the app, especially on the "DM" side. This is basically a "game" in a better sense, if you're bored and want to swipe on profiles you hope to date in your wildest dreams. This app will be deleted once my subscription is up. How is this app even an affiliate sponsor to the Clippers anyways with all the bad rap?

App promotes automated bots and fake interactions. Bumble App misleads users to believe they have genuine interaction so they can spend money on the App, only to realize it's a dud. DO NOT Spend any money on this APP. Waste of Time, Energy and Money. OKCupid and theinnercircle.co is a better option.

For over 3 days now, I am not able to access my account. Whenever I open it a message appears asking me to verify it with a "selfie". I have contacted the customer service. They are not helpful at all. They keep sending me unrelated information on verifying my profile! I keep saying in every message I send to them that I don't want to verify the account and I just want to access it. Even when I try all the verification options that might work still nothing happens and I am not able to log in. I am very frustrated with their service. I can't even create a new account! They keep ignoring the technical problem and kind of blaming for not being able to verify the account. Although I keep saying I don't want to verify it and I just want to access it and I have tried to verify it over and over again and it didn't work. They made me sound like a broken record. They shouldn't call themselves customer service from the start!

I had a profile on Bumble for a couple years and then recently I had a "bad date" with one guy and he asked for a 2nd date and I declined (after he started cussing at me via text message) after our first date. It's very suspicious that soon after that I am not able to access my Bumble. Just stops working. No warning. No notice. I’m left having to ask Bumble by email (the only way to reach them) what happened. They told me that I was permanently banned and this decision is final. It was a canned response with no personalization to it. I followed up telling them what happened to me. They said that "we have received several complaints about your profile. After an investigation and much consideration, we have made the decision to permanently block your account for being in violation of our guidelines." They offered nothing more. No details.
They don’t care one hoot about me, or any of their users. Even when I asked them for further details, they did not answer or respond to me. Even when I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, I was ignored. I told the guy I went out with (that I'm a dating coach) and being honest and genuine, I also told others that I had been messaging that I’m a dating coach for my job when they asked me what I do [for work]. I also think that the guy I denied to go on a second date with “reported” me of "marketing or soliciting" my services to them (and maybe other vengeful guys with low self-esteem who jumped to incorrect conclusions about my motives for being on Bumble). I was genuinely looking for a real relationship, NOT to market my dating coaching services to men! I NEVER tried to sell ANYTHING to ANYBODY or market my dating coaching services to anybody.
These men’s claims were simply not true, but because several people thought the same thing (unfairly and jumped to conclusions about my motives for being on Bumble), they got Bumble to notice and “permanently ban” me. These men were spiteful against me and their claims were NOT true. And after they “reported” me, Bumble did NOT take proper investigative actions and read my conversations with these men. IF they had, they would have found NOTHING as far as me trying to “sell my services” goes through their app.
I responded by saying: "I would like to speak to a manager or somebody else about this matter who can re-review my case. I want to appeal your decision. I carefully reviewed your guidelines and I believe I was NOT in violation of anything. Can you please tell me what guideline(s) I was in violation of? I am truly on Bumble looking for a long term partner and relationship for MYSELF (NOT for my dating coaching business). Anyway, I have since removed any hints that I am even a dating coach, and also from my Facebook profile (I removed it as well), because I didn't want the two linked together to potentially upset others. I thought that it would be "cool" to state that I am Vice President of my dating coaching business, but I guess some men got the wrong impression and wrongly "reported" me. I am extremely upset that Bumble "banned" me and I would like you to reconsider this decision and let me have my old profile and access back."
Bumble said, "I'm afraid we can't comment on individual cases for privacy reasons. All complaints are investigated to their fullest extent, and all decisions are final." Bumble did NOTHING to help me. Even when I gave them FULL disclosure about my situation. They also stated, "As a company rooted in kindness, respect, and online accountability, we expect all users to comply with our guidelines in the Hive. We want to ensure that Bumble remains a fun, friendly and most importantly safe place to make connections. Our decision about your profile cannot be changed and exceptions will not be made."
If they were truly a company rooted in kindness, respect and online accountability they would have done an actual thorough investigation instead of ruin my chances to meet men using their app. It's hard enough being single, and a much as Bumble sucks, it also sucks not having access to another tool to try to help you out. Bumble is a company with some unethical, unfair, unintelligent and cold-hearted people in it. Anybody can be “reported” for anything on Bumble (even before you swipe left or right on them), and your whole profile will be deleted without any recourse or reasons. A warning to all: use anything other than Bumble!!

I am here to put a review about Bumble and how they treat the ushered of that dating site. Well surely I have had worst experience with Bumble and their consumer service. Fact is they even can’t explain why they ban people from dating site for no reason? 2 weeks ago been barred from the site as couldn’t log into it when I was abroad so contacted them and received an email saying someone complain about me so if anyone complain about you for no reason based on your appearance or bio they can bar you. So that insane well, Bumble is not even explained it or do anything about it. I will defo use another site. Don’t need Bumble. It’s poor and service is low standing. Advice to others don’t use that dating site. There plenty other dating site you can use are free and more friendly. Thanks.

I purchased a one week subscription and it automatically renewed. Yes, it was in the fine print, but most reputable companies will give you your money back on the subsequent renewal, just to be decent. Not Bumble! They'd rather have your money than your affection. Figures!

Joined for one month for 24.99. Next thing I know they took 34.99 from my card for coins I did not purchase. The below email is what they sent me. I don't even have an Apple cell phone! Authorization by fingerprint or Face ID approval? This is sick. They won't refund my money. See their email below: "Thanks for contacting Bumble. We really appreciate your explanation about this purchase. Purchasing Bumble Coins requires authorization by either entering your Apple ID password, Fingerprint approval or Face ID approval. As the purchase was made on an Apple device, it does mean the purchase is directly taken from the bank account associated with your Apple ID."
"Our Terms and Conditions state that purchases such as these are non-refundable. As all payments go through Apple via the Apple ID associated with the device the purchase was made from. To get me to sign up it showed that I had 50+ matches "waiting" to talk to me, immediately after paying that number went down to about 9... none of which were the guys that I had "swiped right" on. I immediately wrote Bumble regarding this and that this was not right and I wanted my money back. Waiting to hear from them. I'm going to cancel asap and never use this site again. Very shady business practices right from the get-go - and first impressions are important. Also, some of the profiles of men who I could talk to without paying seem like they might be fake. After reading the other complaints, I think this biz should be shut down and fined.
