Bumble’s "women message first" rule sounds good in theory, but in practice, it just leads to expired matches and wasted time. The app feels slow and clunky compared to Datemio, where connections happen😊 instantly and the interface is smooth. Limited daily swipes and constant paywalls make the experience feel restrictive. Fake profiles and inactive users are still a problem. Unless you enjoy waiting around for nothing, I’d skip Bumble and try a better alternative. Disappointing, to say the least.

I totally agree with Holly's review I just read. For some reason, I can no longer send or receive messages, "something needs fixing" but of course, something else is occurring. I keep writing their support, but they keep giving me replies that they don't know who I am. I've given them everything about me, it should be easy for them to look me up based on my email address. They have my verify profile, photos, name, age, where I live... do they want my bank account numbers too? You can't call anyone either. All this information about me now over the internet! Are they lying about not identifying me?

I signed up with Bumble on 3/19 and on 3/22 my profile was blocked. They have no customer service number so I sent a message to their support team for more information. I received a canned response that my email address wasn’t recognized and they needed the phone number attached to my account. I provided that and received the same canned response. I paid $190 for their services and only had the use of it for three days! They have a policy of not giving refunds and I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Horrible customer service. They state you can deactivate your paid premium subscription with 24 hour notice and I tried to give 2 days notice when I was having trouble canceling the app. Finally went to a DESKTOP version and was able to cancel but NOT after being charged WHILE waiting for customer service to get back to me. I am disputing the charges with my bank and I'd like to advise you to NOT subscribe - take your chances with the free app, if you must use it. There is no timely customer service and it is extremely difficult to cancel a subscription.

Beside there are only scammers and liars on their site, I only purchased a month subscription, I checked it the day before, it said my subscription was canceled & ending on March 1st. They renewed it with no warning, charging me another $60. Their "help" support is not helpful at all, their no refund policy is crap.

Bumble is a breeding ground for identity theft. My info erased, and my account closed. They deleted my account causing me to create a new one. All my matches and conversation gone. They do this when you don't buy a subscription or spend money with them. When I got to the end of the registration they require you to use the phone app.
At this point I don't want the account so I emailed them and they said they need to verify me. They asked for the registration date. I gave them 2/21/2025. They claim that's the wrong date. They had to text me a code. They also emailed me when I was setting up the account. It was 2/21/2025 clearly but they want a copy of my ID. I did not give you my ID to open this account. You used code via phone and my email. You are a scam and you steal people's information using unfair and deceptive acts. This is unbelievable what I am facing just to close an account. I would never give them my ID or a credit card. The customer support is a joke.

Paid for premium and the app decided I was only allowed to swipe left on the people that already liked me. Tried contacting support and it was like talking to a bunch of toddlers, bumble will never get another penny from me.

Signed up, paid for their Premium Plus service, which they charged me $39.99 for when the app says it’s $29.99. But the real issue is, my Premium Plus services never activated. So I emailed customer service, long story short, about 5 days into my Premium Plus service, I still have not received any of the premium services and they have not refunded me. So they literally took $39.99 from me, did not provide me with the service I purchased and now is refusing to activate my premium service or refund my money. So yea, straight up scammed by Bumble.

It’s horrible. I understand they want you to pay but I have over 350 likes and no matches and the matches I have had are not even close to what I said I was looking for!! The few dates I went on weren’t bad but they need to match me more to keep me motivated because I’m close to deleting it and using another site that will allow me to match for free or a lot less money. They have advertisements to offset people like me who can’t afford the outrageous prices. Give a week free to entice people or drop the price to what it was a few years ago $20 a month because I’m not paying 30-40 a month and still get no good matches. It’s a match site so match me!

Bumble is designed to take your money with false promises even if you upgrade to Premium. The A lot of the profiles are fake and direct you to WhatsApp and then you figure out you have been duped. This App is struggling to survive and will use promotions to take your money for little or no return. Stay away!!!

Worst customer service ever!!!! I upgraded to Lifetime Premium Membership and Bumble happily took my money. Unfortunately, I forgot my password and tried to get it reset by customer service, but they won't do it! I've provided all documents they requested to prove this is really my account: a copy of my driver's license, the exact date I signed up, the exact date I upgraded to Premium, proof that I paid, email confirmation from Bumble stating that I am a Premium Member, a copy of my passport, the email I signed up with, everything but the kitchen sink.
Not just once, but over & over again. Instead of sending me a password reset link, I'm stuck in a vicious cycle of getting the customer service email where they request my documents, followed by their email "We haven't heard from you in a while, so we assume you no longer need our help and will close this request." Unbelievable! How do they get away with this? They're not willing to reset a password?! It's been since September 2024 (we now have January 2025) and I STILL do not have access to my account. I paid a lot of money but can't use my account at all. Unacceptable! Bumble should be held accountable for the lack of service they provide or they should be shut down.

I met the LOVE OF MY LIFE on Bumble. After years and years and years of dating, without much luck, I met the most amazing and incredible man on Bumble. The girl who said she'd never even consider remarrying met the man she waited her entire life for and wants to spend the rest of her life with. This man changed my perspective on all things relationship. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you, Bumble.

Phony fake dating site in Algeria. Don't be fooled into joining. I joined the site. Paid for a one month membership because they said I had 49 members who wanted to talk. Once I paid $199 for one month all the 49 members they said wanted to meet me suddenly disappeared! Scam to get your money.

I had a scammer girl message me. Once I read her profile, the way she spoke, you could tell it wasn't real and a scam. Of course she asked to text elsewhere off the app but I said no because I didn't want to give out my personal info but I did want to mess with the scammer and pretend go along with them. Make them think they were going to get my money. Idk why I do that but I find entertainment in it sometimes. However, before I was done playing with the scammer and blocking them, Bumble blocked my account for good!!! Completely ridiculous!!

You give them your money and then every time you open their app they ask you for more money to find you better matches. In other words they control the matches. I signed up. They didn't give me one match in my criteria and asked for my money back the next day and they wouldn't get it so beware. And all the women that messaged me was a scam. Not worth the time or money. And if I could I would have given them zero stars.

I bought the "lifetime membership" only to find out that all that it is the same basic functionality you find on something like Plenty of Fish. You cannot contact women. That's the whole "women are in charge" thing. Problem is that women don't want to be the one to make the first contact. So that leaves it to men to pay for "compliments" to open up dialogue. Which are horribly overpriced for what is basically nothing but Russian Roulette. Oh, 30 compliments? 30 messages sent? 2 replies? 10% success rate?
Someone, somewhere, create a dating site that isn't just there to rob us of money? One that is REGION LOCKED to keep anything ** or ** out of it so we stop getting scam and fake accounts? I've had fake accounts on Bumble too. It is not immune. And lots of dudes in the women category. Another thing is that Bumble is terribly wokified. Their "causes and communities" thing is pure leftist causes.

I have purchased lifetime subscription to Bumble (because I used it for dating but also meeting new friends and it was a great price). Then one day I couldn’t sign in. I contacted customer support and they took long time to get back to me and their response was so weird I felt like this is not right….they pretty much asked me if I needed help, which is why I contacted them at first place. It took about going back and forth for 3 weeks before they finally let me get back into my account. Now I have got a message that my account is blocked and when I reached out to customer support, they told me it’s because I supposedly harassed someone sexually!!!!
I have never harassed anyone in any way, I have reported couple men to them. At first I thought maybe it was that the last guy I spoke to reported me because he didn’t follow through with a date and I called him up on it, I told him this is not how you treat people but I was nice about it and respectful. So now I’m back communicating with customer support asking why exactly did they block my account. No answer. They keep telling me the same thing over and over, that they reviewed my account and their decision will not be changed.
I have looked online and found out other people had exactly the same issue, so now I am obviously upset because I know I have done nothing wrong, I treat everyone with respect and I have NEVER harassed anyone in any way! So is this their tactic on how to blow people off from lifetime subscription? I find it very disturbing actually. I reported Bumble to BBB and I would strongly recommend to take your business elsewhere. There are other online dating sites and you may have to pay more money but at least you won't be accused of harassing someone when you didn’t!

I had an account and paused it for the last couple of months. They charged me to renew the account, 89.99. I immediately saw the notification of the charge and deleted my account. I asked Bumble for a refund, which they refused. This was the same day of the charge. They did not send a warning that they would be charging me, as a reminder. Not doing so is a very sketchy practice. A consumer should be alerted. Bumble refused to refund me. Be careful!

I've used Bumble for a while and at some point, for economic reasons, purchased life-time membership. Never had issues with them, used to praise with everyone I spoke with. However, my recent experience has been so negative that I would no longer recommend it to anyone. After not using the app for about 1.5 years I tried to resume but was unable. Played with it for about a week, then reached out to the Bumble customer service. The reply was shallow instructing me to do what I had already done. The next two replies from Bumble were mirroring the first one, and so I explained my issue again and again.
Getting dead-ended I called Apple, to make sure everything was clear from the phone settings side. It was! So I wrote again to Bumble explaining just that - there are no other variables to blame for the Bumble malfunction. This time they replied acknowledging a bug in the app. However, the repair forecast was vague - when they finish fixing bugs other customers were having. That was close to 2 weeks ago, I haven't heard back from them again. Here I am, with the paid lifetime membership, unable to use the app and no idea if or when I'd be able to start using it again.
Separate note is about the changed pattern of the Bumble customer service. They reply now in the middle of the US night time, at the best - only once per night, and while answering, don't get to the bottom of the question but circle around, as if wooing you. My guess is that their customer service got outsourced to India, which may explain (though not justify!) such sharp decline in the Bumble customer service.
