    I doubt they have problems and need to be investigated, I was terminated by employer but when I applied unemployment benefit they don’t need to call me to confirm, they listen to lies from HR, employer then denied my unemployment, I appealed wait 3 weeks waited for their call but didn’t see it, I called them back late 2’ then they said I was late and denied my case. They protected employer, I think they are not professional or they don’t want to do their job. I wonder how do we find a good, fair agent to work in Government?

    The Dallas Redbird office of TWC is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! No communication, case managers don’t have a clue and the center manager doesn’t care to fix it. I went to them for training and all they do is push low paying jobs that don’t match my background. Being a disabled veteran and trying to utilize state assistance shouldn’t be this difficult. I wouldn’t recommend anyone use their service and the entire office needs to be shutdown!

    This is my first time having interaction with TWC at this level. I have worked over 38 years. I do not know of all the unofficial things that goes on. I thought TWC was an agency that was for the working Americans. I was terminated by my employer, I was not warned and was terminated for actually their word against mines. My employer is known for making sure no one or very little people receives their benefits by false documentation and witness statements that is coerced. I would not write a statement that is not the truth but many has before just to be able to keep their job. I have lost my place to stay, my health insurance which I am unable to get care for my diabetes. I apply for 5 to 6 jobs on a daily basis and go out on interview once to twice a week. I have no income, my family helps me with gas, buying groceries and paying my rent/utilities.

    We live in America and this is allowed to happened to someone like me, who never quit a job, always on time, never called in, and worked through sickness. My job was on of my top priority! TWC officer that was in charge of the hearing did not want to be bother with my story nor the truth but I was sadden with TWC and will advocate for people who has or is going through this. I will be fine, with God and my family! I enjoy working, always have. This has put a bad taste in my mouth. The truth was overlooked on Feb 3, 2026 at 8:30 am for one hours and a lie was victorious! I guess this was easier for the TWC officer to make the decision to affirm the previous ruling. These things happen in America, I pray this review is find on the right place with the right person reading this and change can be implemented. Thank you.

    This organization is plain garbage. Texas is just like California, just the other side of the coin. Twc doesn't help anyone. They are designed specifically for bureaucratic nonsense. They will do anything to get you there. Once they have you there, they only lie to you or tell you they don't know. It's simply passing the buck till you are homeless, locked up, or dead.

    These people approved me for benefits knowing I'm 100% disabled thru the VA, then want til after the new year to ambush me with a claims investigator who failed to identify herself as such until I asked about her questions. They've determined I owe them! According 2 them, I have no car, though I never said that due to it not being true! Now I must go thru this appeals process. Everywhere on the net, TWC feedback is bad! Rightfully, so!

    TWC protects employers not employees. Watch out TWC, they are not a good company to protect employees. Even though you have evidence, they will let you lose and let employers win. The judge is just a joke. The government should shut down TWC which is useless. Fired those guys who work at TWC to let them know what the suffering with no money to maintain family. They are not valuable to work here.

    This has to be the most worst company or whatever it's called in my entire life. Customer service is terrible. The person who did my review should be fired. First she wasn't available on the day they scheduled my interview. She called me two days after, then I clearly sent her the information showing I was terminated in clear black and white but yet she says I quit my job. This was in July, so of course I had to file an appeal which is a joke because I applied for the appeal in July of 2025. Here it is November and still no letter, no phone calls, NOTHING!!!! It's ridiculous and you wonder why there is crime robbing because of stuff like this. It's already hard to find work. And have to wait damn near 4 months is plain disrespect.

    I have a long history of working in the nonprofit sector, much of it here in Texas. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to connect and apply for positions with your organization, I have never received a response or meaningful support. Each time I’ve visited, I’ve been met with unprofessional and unwelcoming behavior from staff who seem to run the office more like a restricted facility than a community-centered nonprofit. Based on my experience, the organization appears to be mismanaging its purpose and resources, which is disappointing for a nonprofit that should be focused on genuine support and impact.

    TWC disqualified me from receiving unemployment after the 3 question “interview” determined that I had quit. I appealed, submitted lots of evidence and made my case. Among other things, my employer was engaging in wage theft of my subordinates and was attempting to rope me into the process. The appeal tribunal mentioned nothing of the illegal activity in his decision notes, instead referring to the situation as “work stress”. It is mind boggling that TWC looks the other way at illegal employer activity while punishing an employee for saving themselves from liability and refusing to participate. What a corrupt system.

    I’m extremely disappointed with the way Texas Workforce handles claims — especially for military families who have just uprooted their entire lives for a PCS move across the world. There is no sense of urgency, no clear communication, and no understanding of the unique challenges that military spouses face when they are suddenly unemployed because of orders.

    After serving our country and moving as directed, we should not be left struggling for months without income while we wait on a slow and confusing system. The process feels unnecessarily complicated and drawn out, adding stress to an already difficult transition. Military families are resilient, but we should not have to fight this hard just to receive the support we are entitled to. Texas Workforce needs to do better — streamline claims for military families, prioritize cases related to PCS, and communicate more effectively. We deserve timely assistance and respect for the sacrifices we make.

    We went to TWC because we were told they help adults with disabilities find suitable employment for my high functioning, autistic son. Our first and only appt. was in July. It went well and we were told we qualify for their services. Made second appt to work with job counselor and it was abruptly canceled the day of the appt and now that person is no longer employed there and no one can seem to help us. It's September and when I do speak to someone they act like they want to help but then radio silence. My son just wants a job and is so deflated from this experience. I guess we have to get our state rep involved but do I even want to work with such an inept agency. Do they actually ever help anyone?

    I wish I could go lower than one star. Appealed twice. My employer verbally abused the employees the entire time I worked there. The Roof caved in on me while pregnant, she forced us to be her childcare for her preemie infant while she went to gamble at a gas station for over a year, she drank all day and treated us like garbage. The amount of evidence I provided was insane. Not to mention I was pregnant while this all happened. The appeal officer ADMITTED to not reviewing our evidence, documentation or statements. I even included health code violations and laws that were broken and they still denied me. This run by a horribly corrupt system who should be ashamed of themselves. Disgusting.

    Filed for unemployment insurance. Met all the requirements. Granted unemployment. Received one check then received a call from an ignorant, uncaring customer service representative who told me the supervisor was wrong. CHERYL **, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE BELIEVES SHE IS A SUPERVISOR. Not so. TWC refuses to answer the phone. Have filed endless appeals. Have contacted the governor's office for help. Can't pay my bills because of corrupt TWC.

    Absolutely the worst department or commission of the State of Texas. No customer service if you do get through to a live person. Most times, you can’t. The person you will speak with is unknowable and does not give accurate information. One person will say you need to do one thing and you’ll call back and that person will say that is wrong and you need to do another. The decisions of the Commission/ Dept are inaccurate and based on the wrong information and or facts of the case. Appeals dept the same. Appeals are not handled in a timely manner. Today, I got decisions from the Commission Appeals dept that were filed in February and April of 2024.

    Today is August 5, 2025. I speculate that they have a way to block you from getting through to a live person when your case hasn’t been handled correctly because they don’t want to take accountability. Before all of this, I had no problem getting through to a person. At this point, I am writing a complaint letter to the Commission and the State and I’m hiring an Attorney. I am not accepting their untimely decisions and lack of help or customer service. I am at my wits end with this poor ran department that Texas should be ashamed of.

    I’m so disappointed with TWC and not taking the Initiative to make sure the unemployed Americans are presented the opportunity to receive benefits. I was terminated from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, The Gov entity and was disqualified for receiving benefits. I worked enough credits and after waiting a month for a response and now to be disqualified! Why are foreigners getting treated and giving more financial assistance and they’ve never paid 1 day of taxes and are illegal immigrants! Wtf.

    I was trying to log into my account using my previously set password. I was not able to do so, then I was prompted to set up a new password and I still couldn't login. I kept trying to set up a new password a few more times, but I was still not able to gain access to my account. At the end I was provided a phone number to call to further assistance.

    Texas Workforce Commission doesn't help you find a job. When one goes to workintexas.com to apply for jobs, it appears that the website is dead in that there does not appear to be any activity on the website. It doesn't appear that anyone responds to the job seeker. Yet if one is on unemployment, they'll tell you that TWC is hiring, yet there is no response from them. When I applied to jobs on their website in 2019 and 2024, I have never received an interview or a job offer from TWC. Do not waste your time applying for jobs with TWC. It is a waste of your time.

    In 2019, I applied for unemployment after quitting my job and I received unemployment. In 2024, after several months of applying for jobs and not getting hired, I applied for unemployment in December of 2024 and instead of receiving unemployment benefits, I have been denied unemployment because I quit my previous job(!). I was told to appeal the TWC's decision and I did. I attended the hearing yesterday. My former employer did not attend the phone hearing. I have to attend a phone appeals hearing just to be able to receive almost $400 a week (that by the way, I have not received since I applied for unemployment in December of 2024). I should not have to fight to receive a small amount of money.

    Texas Workforce Commission and its employees do not care about the poor, the unemployed, the homeless, and those of us who need assistance. They waste your time, making you call them whenever you forgot your password. Instead, they could send a verification code to your email or phone number. If your phone number on file is not your current phone number, they should have an option to send it to your email or to select another form of verification (By the way, this not only applies to TWC; also applies to federal and state government websites that make you call them instead of doing what I outlined above; it seems that private companies and businesses seem to understand that; however, many businesses in the private sector in America as well as the public sector are immoral, unethical, and unscrupulous; but that is a story for another time.)

    The unemployed are treated as if they are unintelligent, stupid, lazy, and greedy, even though in order to receive unemployment, one must first qualify for it and when one was working, they were paying into it. The unemployed are treated as if they want to scam the system, when that is not the case. As it had been pointed out in another review, unemployment benefits should be based on how long someone has worked for an employer. It should not be based on whether someone had quit their job or not, if they were fired or not, or if they were laid off or not. The only reason I applied for unemployment is because I am in need of funds, not because I am lazy, not because I want to scam the system, and not because I don't want to work. I am not energetic person, but I am not lazy, I don't want to scam the system and I want to work because I need to work.

    The entire American system is contrary to the Commandments of God, the precepts of the Catholic Church, the Gospel, Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, natural law, and natural reason the type of experience the poor and the unemployed go through is the result of this. TWC does not even deserve to receive one star due to wasting peoples' time who are in dire financial need. The only reason they receive one is because I needed to leave one in order to leave a review.

    I couldn’t tell you what this agency does. I’ve been waiting for almost a year for help of any kind and it’s been just the opposite of help. Then, out of nowhere, I get a phone message that I’m supposed to drop everything and meet with my advisor on less than 24 hours notice? What a joke! Thanks but no thanks. Your “help” is not wanted.

    The Texas Workforce Commission’s customer service is absolutely terrible. I filed my claim on my designated claim day, and at the end of the call, it incorrectly stated that I began working on December 20th. That’s not true. I received a job offer on December 20th, but the job doesn’t start until January 27th. I’ve been trying to get in touch with someone to resolve this issue, but the process is beyond frustrating. You’re forced to sit through a lengthy recorded message, only to be told at the end that no one is available to take your call. It shouldn’t be this difficult to reach someone at TWC—something needs to change. At this point, I might as well give up and wait until I start work. Meanwhile, bills are piling up, and nothing will get paid until that first paycheck comes in. This process is unacceptable.

    Have been waiting to get a call back from TWC. I was wrongfully terminated right before Christmas and I filed for unemployment. I went to my local office and filled out the forms. I then get a letter from them about my case and they had put the wrong employer! Where they got this I don't know, but I tried numerous times calling and could not get anyone to answer my calls. Just a voice message giving you the run around. So I then went online to get on a list for them to call me back. I'm still waiting. Said on the letter if there are any mistakes to contact them immediately. 🤷 I did and nothing.

    TWC is the worst. If you get laid off too bad so sad. You will NEVER get help to claim unemployment. It is a big grief. Employer pays unemployment insurance. Then they refuse to give any help so they keep the money. Meanwhile no bills get paid no food. Might as well resign yourself to being homeless and hungry.

    I don’t understand why the Adrian ** guy still has a job, he doesn’t answer calls and doesn’t return them either. It’s absolutely ridiculous whenever there are people who actually need the funds and he obviously doesn’t care because he has a job and his life is intact.     I have previously been on unemployment in another state (California). They are putting Texas workforce to shame. I thought them to be horrible but Texas workforce is the bottom of the barrel. The website is horrible, can't get in touch with anyone for questions. They take forever to pay you and you could possibly lose everything waiting on Texas Workforce taking their sweet time. The employees are rude and it almost feels like there isn't a set standard or any care or concern for the people that they are supposed to be helping.

    I am on day 3 of attempting to file for unemployment benefits. I have called in the morning, afternoon and before closing - I have called up to 10 times in a day. I am unable to file online as there is an error on their website. I don't know what else to do, I wish this process was privatized and not handled by the government. There is little to no oversight in this organization.
