Do not attend this school. They've switched over to AI and it's evident in the courses and in the instructor engagements. Your work will be graded by an AI computer system, not an actual instructor. Feedback will be robotic and unhelpful. The instructors will take points away from your papers because this AI system said to, but not be able to explain why or how you can improve when you ask them. There's zero support, no student community, and you're not allowed to interact with other students in the forums. Complaints go unaddressed.

There are issues with academic integrity, inclusivity, and they do not abide by Title IX laws. The school curriculum is outdated and archaic, I am in a cybersecurity program that has content and books from the early 2000s. Instructors do not have the academic or industry experience to be teaching, yet here they are using the AI system because they literally have zero clue what's going on. Choose any other school but this one, choose UCCS where they at least have qualified instructors.

This school is insane. I looked at just the website to see what majors they provide online and was immediately bombarded with calls and HUNDREDS of emails. They call me SEVEN times a day and make new numbers when I block the previous. The first call sent to my phone I told them I was literally just looking at the website and I'M NOT INTERESTED. From there they call each and every day, send out over twenty emails and I have said I don't want to or plan to go here. They also make multiple email accounts to send and harass me. What school that's credible is so desperate for students that they need to full on harass anyone who wants to look at the website... INSANE.

The worse nursing graduate coordinator who tries to mess up your completion of the practicum at every turn. She dropped the balls so many times and they are being escalated to the dean of the MSN school but she continues to drop the ball, not holding herself accountable for the work that has to be done. She caused me to get delayed 5 weeks because she refused to take responsibility and accountability at getting me a preceptor even if the MSN Handbook said it is her final responsibility. So if you are having problem finding a preceptor, good luck at continuing this class because you won't find the help you need from this coordinator who likes to pass the buck to you, answer your emails late and using AI, very unprofessional.

Even if you submitted all requirements early, she will not communicate to you to update you. I have to email her several times early on before the deadline and she does not make effort to make the class get cleared. I also have to do her job for her, In the end she took a vacation so that the dean and me, the student are all struggling to get the clearance for the clinical site. She did this twice now and she still has her job and probably doesn't get any repercussions for her unprofessional and irresponsible behavior. You will surely get a big headache, empty wallet and very poor service from this program. The teachers are great the student success coordinator and the dean are great but this person is pulling their performance down.

The professors at this university is the problem. They belittle you and insult your intelligence. They want you to dumb down your work to fit their parameters of “similarities” and then don’t take any accountability. It is not professors teaching you or grading your work. It is all a computer system. They have “professors” in place to be the face of the class but after 3 years here it is evident the professors do not do a single act of actual grading their students work. They run it through a system, let it give a score and that’s it. With a system that will say using words like “physician” and “robust” is too similar to other works and is therefore plagiarism so let’s give you a zero for a grade. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND ENERGY.

I have a previous degree. Upon starting CTU Online, I was told majority of credits would transfer. They did not! I had to question a few classes before they would look into it and eventually gave me the credits for only those 2 classes. I had a great admissions advisor. At random staff switches and you’re not notified. After complaining about the courses and the lack of knowledge from financial aid, I said I would like to quit. I was provided with a simple response to let them know when I decide and a very generic statement regarding financial aid- I was advised there was no one that could accommodate my request of an explanation on how their financial aid process works. I was given a few different answers regarding cost and class requirements. Save yourself the headache and find a place that is consistent and has better reviews. I wish I would have checked the reviews prior to starting and paying! There’s no support! Every conversation feels scripted. I have never felt so irrelevant in my life!

Information like guaranteed job placement and access to the job placement office is always available, and the cost is the lowest compared to other educational institutions. To date, the job placement has been null. The costs incurred were exceedingly more than what was told. Credits aren't transferrable. All of my Pell Grant funding was exhausted through this school. The degree is worthless, haven't gained employment in my field of study even with my work experience in the field.

Colorado Technical University (CTU) is an absolute gem in the realm of higher education, and it's a shame that some negative reviews fail to capture its true essence. Let me set the record straight and paint a glowing picture of what CTU truly represents. First and foremost, CTU is far from being a diploma mill. It's an institution that takes pride in its rigorous academic standards and commitment to providing students with a top-notch education. The university's accreditation ensures that students receive a quality education that is recognized and respected by employers and other reputable institutions.

Now, let's address the concern of fraudulent charges. CTU operates with utmost integrity and transparency when it comes to financial matters. Any concerns regarding charges are promptly addressed and resolved through their efficient and dedicated financial services team. They work tirelessly to ensure that students receive the value they deserve for their investment in education.

When it comes to teachers, CTU boasts an exceptional faculty. These dedicated professionals are experts in their respective fields and passionate about imparting knowledge to their students. They go above and beyond to provide guidance and support, making the learning experience engaging, interactive, and highly effective.

As with any institution, occasional challenges may arise. However, CTU takes great pride in its commitment to promptly addressing and resolving any issues that students may encounter. Their responsive and supportive administrative staff ensures that problems are met with timely solutions, creating a positive and conducive learning environment.

Contrary to some misconceptions, CTU is widely recognized and respected by numerous reputable organizations. Its accreditation and industry affiliations speak volumes about its standing in the educational community. Graduates from CTU have achieved remarkable success in their careers, further solidifying the university's reputation.

Lastly, let's address concerns about cost. While CTU is a for-profit institution, it's important to note that its financial investment translates into a wealth of student opportunities. From cutting-edge technology and resources to industry-aligned programs, CTU ensures that students receive a high-quality education that equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen fields.

In summary, Colorado Technical University is a beacon of excellence in higher education. It's a place where students receive a top-tier education supported by dedicated faculty and staff. The university's commitment to addressing concerns, its recognized standing, and its focus on equipping students for success make it a true leader in the field. I wholeheartedly recommend CTU to anyone seeking an enriching and fulfilling educational experience.

I have challenge them on their Unethical Conduct and have been disrespected and gaslighted. Everyone needs to realized that a lot of those passed civil suits were hidden on Google and everyone should contact the Department of Education and fill out a dispute so the money would be taken from them and let's do a class action suit for many constitutional violations and get them SHUT DOWN.

My experience is that when it comes to financial aid and certification for VRRAP CTU needs a lot of work. They provide no consistent certification to the VA so my housing allowance has been short nary every month so far. They just tell you that's the way it is. NORMAL schools have semesters and you KNOW when and what you are getting. I have been late on my rent regularly because of this. This system can turn you into a homeless Veteran overnight if you are not careful. FIX IT DARN IT! I must call and haggle EVERY month to make sure they are getting it right. VA is slow enough without this mess to contend with. AND they refuse to give a consistent time your funds are disbursed. They are worried you are not going to pay up it seems.

Let me say this is so rough on my PTSD. Getting your assignments done is stressful without having to worry if you are going to receive funds you are promised in time so you do not get evicted. I am a straight A 4.0 GPA student there. The Veterans Administration PAYS all tuition! So I do not see why I get handled like a borderline deadbeat. (That is exactly how it feels). Aside from all that, the Instructors are great. They bend over backwards to help you and check up on you. The curriculum is designed to be user friendly. I am around the halfway point and I cannot wait to finish this out. It is too late to back out now so it is not worth losing the work invested and the time.

Like many other reviews I read on this blog, I too had been denied access to my transcripts by CTU because of a balance due for classes they claim I had not dropped in time. I dropped the classes but like many others didn't follow up to ensure they were dropped and was charged over $7k for classes that I never had taken. I think it makes no sense to charge a student for classes they never took especially if they ended up repeating the course and paid for them at that time as well. They are basically charging students twice for the same class and this should be illegal in my opinion.

I am in the process of transferring to another school to work on my masters and could not do so without my transcripts. They know that so this is why they practice what is called "transcript ransom" to prevent you from moving forward without paying a debt that is most likely over priced and unfair. This is a problem that predominantly affects poor people who typically don't have money to pay unfortunately.

I am not the type of person who will just roll over and take unfair treatment without a fight so I immediately began researching ways around this predatory rule that I don't agree with. What I learned was that during the pandemic crisis a couple states such as Washington and California recognized this as a big issue for people who needed their transcripts to secure jobs or finish their education. This prompted them to created a bill that prevented schools from withholding transcripts for debt.

I live in California so after I learned of the bill I called them back the very next day to mention the AB 1313 law that was implemented in 2020. I was briefly put on hold by the same guy I had spoke to the day before, who asked for my address as verification (so he was well aware of the state that I lived in and denied me anyway). He then returned with a different answer, he told me to order my transcript and he can clear the block. Please check your state to see if they too have passed such laws and make sure you let them know that you are aware of the law because they will not volunteer such info because their job is to collect not help you. I hope this helps someone, good luck!!!!

This is why student the student loan debt is over a TRILLION dollars. People love to bash institutions while they are being substandard. I’ve been attending since Nov 2019 and have had a pretty good experience. Tuition is cheap and my federal loans are enough to see me through my master’s degree. The online program is largely self directed. If you need one on one time or heavy guidance, stick with a traditional university. I have been in healthcare administration for over 10 years, and worked my way up from a minimum wage call center rep to a business office manager, but I hit a ceiling and without a degree I cannot advance my career, regardless of experience.

Your courses contain guided reading and little online quizzes, but also include formal paper writing as well as informal long answer questions that are shared via a discussion board format. Do not expect any hand holding, and honestly you will only get out what you put in. Professors largely just point you in a direction and say “go” how far you get is up to you. I wouldn’t recommend this for a fresh out of high school student. This program is far better suited to someone like me with working experience in their field who really just need the little slip of paper that proves they know what they know.

Run!! Upon entering the program you are not given all the information. I made it all the way to the clinical practicum and was told that I had to take this APEA predictor exam. If the predictor exam is not passed then you may be given a chance to take, however you cannot move forward if you do not pass. They do nothing to prepare you for the exam. It was 4 students in my class. All 4 of us failed however I was the only one that had to spend more money retaking both courses that has nothing to do with the predictor. I have emails and texts from my classmates stating that they were told they didn't have to repeat, which is totally unfair. When I emailed and ask why I was retaking the entire course when none of my classmates had to, I was given the "we can't discuss other classmates" response. Rules were changed. I was told to appeal, and of course the appeal was denied.

I have 33 college credits and was withdrawn from the university. I have thousands of dollars of student loans and no degree. I do not know why the appeal was denied after being told to do so. I believe it to be total retaliation and discrimination because I made a fuss about having proof that they were not being consistent with the policies. Nowhere in the policy does it states that if you pass one you don't have to take the other. In fact I was even told by them when I asked that the policy stated I had to repeat both the lab course and health assessment course if the APEA predictor exam was not passed. However as stated my 3 classmates of different race did not have to.

This predictor exam was never mentioned during admission into the program. Why would a predictor exam given half way through a program stop you from progressing? The course is not over and therefore you should still be learning. This program was a total waste of time and money. The rules and policies are not consistent for everyone. I am sure they will now re-write the policy to state "at the universities discretion"! Run. Do not waste your time.

Whatever you do, please avoid this school. You are basically paying for piece of paper. I attended CTU MSCS program from 10/2018 to 05/2020. This is not a school because you do not learn anything. If you master the subject and you want some piece of paper stating you have a degree, Colorado tech is the place for you, but if you really want to learn something, please avoid this school. The only time they will fail you in any course, is if you do not submit your assignment. You can submit any piece of garbage and they will give you a passing grade. Nobody forced me to stay there. I just wanted that piece of paper saying that I finished my degree.

In the end what really bothered me about this garbage school is that they still charged me $200 just to print that diploma. Even though there is no graduation ceremony, they will charge you $200 dollars just to print that piece of paper. You do not have the option to deny the diploma or request it at later time. Once you finish all your classes you will pay $200 dollars to print your diploma otherwise your account will be on hold and you cannot request transcript or do anything in your account before pay the $200 dollars. They call it graduation fee, but regardless if you attend the ceremony or not (in my case due to covid-19 the ceremony was cancelled) you still get charged $200 just to print the diploma.

I would understand if they have the graduation ceremony because of the cost associated with the ceremony but there is nothing going on and I am still getting charged $200 just to print that piece of paper? Not to mention the $30K you already pay for the entire Master program. Please I strongly advise you to avoid this school if you can, not just for the $200 dollars but for other things I mentioned earlier unless you already know the subject but do not have a degree.

I can go on but one way or another I plan to shut Colorado Technical down for good AND YOU WILL PAY ME BACK MY STUDENT LOAN MONEY THAT YOU STOLE FROM ME AND YOU WILL RELEASE MY OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS as I do not owe you another dime! You not only did this to me but also my husband. We both have lost funding and your school charged us $50k for obtaining an ASSOCIATES degree! Y’all can’t continue doing honest working people wrong and think it is okay!! Please anyone that considers going to this school don’t. Run the other way. Go to a local school in your own state!!!!

This school is a joke. They accept anyone as long as they’re willing to fork out the money. When you apply for their school, you immediately sign an enrollment agreement which is insane. No legitimate college/university does this. Within a day after applying and signing the enrollment agreement, I immediately regretted my decision. Per the enrollment agreement, you can’t just withdraw from your classes. You have to inform your student advisor or send something in writing to the admissions office. Again, what the heck. Every school I’ve went to allows you to withdraw from your class at the click of a button. Anyways, I informed my student advisor. By the way, it’s funny how their whole demeanor changes when you decide to withdraw. I informed him via phone then via email (just to have something in writing). No response.

Within the next few weeks, I keep getting emails as if I am still enrolled. Emails about my classes, transcripts, financial aid, etc. I called about 3-4 times and spoke with different admission advisers, and they could do absolutely nothing for me because only my student advisor is allowed to withdraw me!?!? However, they kept sending him messages from my part. Still not response. At this point, I keep getting emails. Finally, I sent another email to my student advisor where I was pretty blunt and demanded written confirmation of my cancellations. Within 24 hours, my enrollment was cancelled. The moral of the story, do your research and stay on top of it. And always, always get something in writing! ✌️
