I was initially told it would take 3 years to pay off my debt, but after a year and a half they upped the time period to 5 years. Very disappointed with this situation. Since they have been doing debt relief, they should be more accurate with the projected time period.

I think the program is a great way for people with bad credit to get help. When I entered the program I had over 800 credit and know I have 650, maybe. The only reason I entered the program in the first place was to consolidate the credit cards with high balances. If I realized how much my credit was going to take a hit by using the program, I probably wouldn't do it again. The customer service has been very good. When I have questions or issues they resolve and or answer them within a short amount of time.

We are a little over half way through our program. While so far they have done what we contracted with them to accomplish, some of their fees for customer service when needed seem unfair. In addition, the few times I have contacted them, the customer service reps did not seem to have access to a full picture of information and therefore could not answer questions or make recommendations with accuracy. That was very disappointing. However, as long as they continue to deal with the debt in an acceptable manner, we will continue the program.

The service has been excellent. The costs seem fair. The open transparent communication of the process is key. In line with that, fees are not adequately reported on the dashboard. The fees should be reported along with the structured settlement including all fees, recurring monthly ones as well as the settlement fees when they are taken from the account, as opposed to only upon resolution. Also, the fees should be reported in the settlement approval request as this important information in determining whether to approve or not. Reporting the fees if you saved $1400 at a cost of only $400 is better than having the fee surprise hit you later when you look at your bank statement.

Honestly sometimes I want to stop the program because money gets a little tight sometimes but I quickly remind myself of how great a job of resolving my credit card debt you guys are doing. We were in big problems with our credit cards debt. We were paying monthly payments years after years but the interest on these five credit cards were so high that it made little or no difference to the total amount we owed. We tried another financial institution but they took our $400 upfront fee and gave us lot of runaround and we lost our down payment.

I Know it takes a while to get it done. It is hard at times and hope it will soon be over with. Have to stay with it and pray for the best. You wonder if you can keep going on with it went, what money you have left to live on after you make your payment to Freedom Debt Relief, has to last you on till your next check, but you know you have to do it. So far, I am pleased with what has occurred initially, with one predatory loan settled and paying and one old collection settled and pending payments. What I am still waiting for is to hear on other settlements or negotiations. I was instructed to stop paying for items on my list, however, nothing is settled on many accts and my already bad credit is being tanked to even further lows. I expected some but not like this. I also have another loan my bank cannot seem to stop payment on from my list that is continuing to charge me monthly, to the point I am not gaining much relief financially to pay down my other remaining debts. This appeared to be a great program but not seeing much more in results since the initial progress, has me beginning to question if my others list of accounts is being settled or not.

I am very happy with Freedom Relief. Every time I call everyone is very pleasant and knows what they are talking about. They explain everything and make sure you understand what is happening and why. Only thing I did not understand is when I got a call about getting loan to pay off my debts and told me, "Sorry you don't qualify."

So far everything is going smoothly. No known problems at this time. Freedom has done everything they said they would do. It was a bit scary in the beginning, handing over the keys to your accounts and hope for the best and you're not being scammed. As of right now I'm about halfway through this and it's looking good. I try and chip in a little extra each month to try and pay off this mess sooner.

I joined FDR/NLLG in October of 2015. I had 5 credit cards. Two are resolved, two will be resolved within a few months - which leaves only one. I am thrilled with the advice and the experience I've had to this point. I was summoned twice by BAC, and both times, the NLLG was instrumental in resolving both of these debts. I have been Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) since May 2014 and will be finishing up by Nov 2018. FDR has saved me much money and feel they definitely worked for me and helped me save my sanity and got me back on the right direction, so I didn't end up in bankruptcy. Hated to go even this way, but did not want to go the bankruptcy way. But due to health and only one income, had gone above my means, so had to do something. Had checked out other sites, but after much research determined FDR was best way for me and my personal circumstances. Contacting Freedom Debt Relief has been one of the smartest moves I have made in a long time. Day one has been a fantastic journey in straightening out debt woes and getting everything back on track. My settlements started out slow but picked up quickly and now are almost complete in a short period of time. I can see my life starting to change into a debt free existence finally.

Dealing with a bad financial situation is daunting because I have always been credit worthy. It was a hard decision to make and I looked at it a few years ago when I first lost my job of 10 years with a good salary, but did not make the call. Why is it taking so long to settle the last creditor on this account? I've been on your program for 4 1/2 years. I want this settled as soon as possible. I don't want this hanging over my head as the year goes on.

Everything was made very fast. The person who was explaining to us didn't gave us some time to think about it. He send us all the info. to sign it right away. I have been making payments for two years and this company barely paid off one of my seven accounts. I'm not happy at all.

During the sign up process your affiliate's explanation of the plan don't make overall cost vs. savings very clear. After all is said and done I'm only looking at 25% in actual savings. And even then that savings needs to be reported to the IRS. So how much am I really saving? Maybe 15% overall. Big deal. I could have probably negotiated better deals on my own. Something I may explore.

Getting out debit - Yes I would, so far very good. Customer service is excellent. They always are very helpful with me. The website is very easy to use, and to see how far you have made progress on your debts. I appreciate all of the hard work your team has taken on my debt. I couldn't do it without your help so I like to say Thank you.

So far, I have no complaints. The debt relief program has been getting me great settlements with my creditors. The settlements have been more than half of what I've owed on most of my accounts. Once I sent my creditors the program's address to send all my correspondences, I didn't get any more demands for payment or debt collector calls. This company has made this process very stress free & that's what I need.

They told me that your Discover card was the most aggressive. Why didn't they take care of them first? Both of them contacted lawyers to sue me. They recommended a law firm to me that would take care of it. They took care of one of them. Could not take care of the other Discover card so I got sued and Discover card right now is garnishing my wages. I feel too knew what they were doing that would never have happened. I enough money to pay off a card in my account. When I questioned him about it it's gone so I feel like these people lie just for the money.

My first point of contact with your representative assured me that I had signed all necessary documents. I later found out Customer Support team wants me to sign, scan and send the same documents from the Welcome Book. I did so, but being told they could not assist me with my issue until they received the same documents discounts what I was told by my representative.

So far so good... almost half there. I so wish I would have chosen FDR sooner. I kept delaying due to thinking my credit score will get ruined but actually it started to go up after about a year into the program. I cannot wait to be debt free in early 2020. :) For anyone that reads this and if paying just the minimum payments isn't getting you anywhere... don't wait... give FDR a try. For all the negative comments on here it is due to not sticking with the program. If you do this does work. Also if starting the program make sure you add on NLG... the law firm that will help you if you start getting lawsuit attempts dropped at your door from creditors. Took a little over a year for the first creditor to attempt to sue me but no worries. NLG helped and negotiated settlement and never went to court. I've been your customer since November 2015 and so far I'm very disappointed w/ our service: You're not cancelling my accounts (Discover & Springleaf). My lawyer substituted out of the case w/ Discover and you keep trying to make me pay your fees when there's no settlement w/ Discover. Springleaf - I'm paying the full amount of $3,xxx.xx which ordered from the court. It doesn't make sense to me to make the payments through FDR when you charge me other fees such as settlement fee, payment fee, subscription fee etc. every single month. And I have to make 34 months of payments. On top of that, I have to pay you 25% of the enrolled balance. It doesn't make sense. In the agreement, it says that "You may terminate this Agreement and withdraw from your debt resolution program at any time, without any termination fee or other penalty." But you're not cancelling my account and say that I have to pay your fee.

I called a few times and spoke with a few different representatives regarding my Niagara Regional interest that is currently at 320.00 for interest. I couldn't understand why the interest could not be paid off yet. I knew that I had at one point over 600.00 dollars in my account and then some. I never knew that I still owed interest on the Citizens bank account. I thought green thumbs up meant all fees included... even interest. I was told that my recent money had to go to this account.

My experience with FDR is positive overall. FDR provides me timely updates on the program and the status of my relief. In my dealings, the staff at FDR appear knowledgeable and respond to my questions and queries in a professional manner. My biggest complaint though is that I feel the fee I am paying for the program is exorbitant.

One thing that was never made clear to me was that I would need to pay taxes on whatever was forgiven. But WORSE than that is my tax notice from Freedom Debt always arrives AFTER April 15th when taxes have already been submitted so I have to pay my tax person an extra $50.00 to revise my taxes, and I have to pay penalties to the IRS for the late taxes for the adjustment. This has been a couple years in a row now.

I was in dire need of help resolving my credit issues. They were honest and fair in setting up the service. You need to take some ownership of the process and make sure things are being done. There were some inconsistencies with the negotiation process of settling a debt, I was able to contact the creditor and get a better settlement that fit my available funds than Freedom was able to do for me with relative ease, but overall, the process worked as promised. If you have extensive debt, I highly recommend paying for the lawyer insurance in case you are sued. Hiring a lawyer is expensive if you wait and if you are already having trouble paying your debts it will be difficult to find the money to do so.
