The only thing I would change is contacting creditors right away. I received numerous phone calls and certified mail relentlessly. Very stressful. I had to go through my doctor for medications. I wish that could be changed.

I have been trying since this past Wednesday to make my payment. I have countless text messages and two phone conversations about this issue and still every day I look on my dashboard and every day it says my payment will be taken the following day!

I have been laid off at 55 (first time in my life) and did not know how to continue with the debt relief program. The customer service rep (Morris) calmed me down and gave me incredible help in figuring out how to proceed with my quest to become debt-free. We spoke for about half an hour, and when we ended the call, I felt confident once more.

I sent an email in mid-November asking that my automatic debit be reduced. I called on the 28th or 29th to see if the debit had been changed. It had not and I was too late to change it. So now I can't pay my car insurance in one payment so I won't get a $100.00 reduction in premium for paying in full and on time. By not reading or doing anything about your email, I just lost $100.00. I think the phone call, which prompted your email, got things straightened out.

I needed help to consolidate my bills and stuff. I talked to Freedom Debt Relief and by talking to them, seemed like the most knowledgeable. I talked to a couple of their reps and they’re always there handling stuff where I need it and right on stuff, it seemed like. I feel comfortable working with them. I had an up and down experience. It took a year and a half for 2 Capital One accounts. The second one took forever. I was told that I needed to put in more money over my allotted to finish. The next person told me I had enough and it took 3 months. I did lose my rep who had some health issues who I really liked. They do help and I did get them both done.

I could not ask for better treatment from anyone at FDR. However, my NLLG attorney, Jeremy ** was rude, condescending, and basically called me a deadbeat during my first phone call. After stating that he was not going to take the case because he could tell that I would not make the payments and then he would have to take phone calls from my debtor's attorneys, continued to be rude and treat me as if I was a child. Although he handled the legal issues and secured an acceptable settlement, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend FDR as long as NLLG continues to use attorneys such as Jeremy **.
FDR as a company, is only here because people are having financial troubles but want to pay what they owe and not file for bankruptcy. They don't want to be treated disrespectfully and insulted by someone for which they are paying a fee. It may not be a huge fee, but it is the fee which is requested. And, it is very disheartening to be treated so terribly for a service in which we pay. (You can contact NLLG for additional details about my horrible experiences with Jeremy **.) With that being said, I have no problem at all with FDR and its direct employees. FDR and its employees have always been fantastic and completely helpful to me, and I thank you for that.

I am happy with the results so far from negotiations with creditors. I have saved a lot of money so far with negotiations made. I am confused why a creditor keeps contacting me after payments have been received, accepted, and completely resolved. I have explained to them that this account has been resolved. They say ok and apologize for calling yet it continues to happen. Otherwise, no complaints at this time.

I have been with you Freedom and NLG since January this year and things were running smoothly until I was sued by AZFCU. In the 11 months that I've been paying consistently, not once did I get flagged for having an issue with the account number of AZFCU. Now that I am in the middle of this lawsuit, I have been trying to resolve a discrepancy with the account number but Freedom and NLG do not have a good way to communicate with each other than email.
The process has been a nightmare because NLG says that my AZFCU account is not enrolled in the program, I call Freedom and they say it is. I've tried to get information on how to resolve this and even though the client services people are trying to help, it seems that they are constrained to a very limited process that consists of taking notes, sending an email to NLG and that is it. I have to say Tony ** client advocate from Freedom, really went above and beyond to help. I hope this gets resolved because I have done everything possible to address this problem and it would be devastating to me if NLG just drop my case and leaves me without representation when I have to go to court.

I am getting so many calls from Citi Bank, Capital One. I had asked if these companies had been notified, the women who helped was very understanding explained it to me, also I received a collection letter from Target. I faxed to the # I was given.

A friend used Freedom Debt Relief before and that friend recommended me to them. My interactions with their rep have been very good and they’re always so available and ready to talk me through different things. When someone was suing me, I was able to call FDR, get an action right away, and someone was able to call me right back. I had another experience where creditors were calling me and I was able to give them FDR's number. The creditors spoke to FDR instead of me. So, FDR has been really a blessing. Their overall cost is excellent as well. I pay as I go, I’m able to have a set payment, and manage that payment. I would recommend them and I have started talking to people already. I told them that they need to get into this company and get their debt settled.

When will I get a call regarding an account settle, Just that I been getting to many call on cell due to no payments. If I could just get some less calls. I understand that I just started on this account.

I somewhat regret participating in this program. I follow the directions and stop making payments. Late fees accrue and the original debts are increased, usually doubled if not more. Out of three settlements made, two of them did not save me any money at all. They were able to reduce the debt only by the amount accrued from not paying in the first place. At this point, I should've simply filed for bankruptcy, wiped the debts clean and built my credit back up.

Remember when you enroll in the program you agreed to voluntarily stop paying your creditors so we can show them the hardship you are going through. Yes, that will mean your balance can increase but as soon as we have reached a settlement the creditor will no longer be able to increase the balance on that debt. Compare our fees to the 100% debt + interest % + late fees + penalty fees if someone can't meet the monthly required minimum payment. We offer a proven solution at an affordable monthly cost that helps our client pay down their entire debt - principle, fees, interest and all. Bankruptcy is a bit more complicated than simply choosing it as a preferred option. Not everyone who is struggling can meet the means test required to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Freedom debt is working hard to help me resolve my debts. I am retired and somewhat disabled plus on a fixed income. Even though it will take me a while to clear my debt because of limited income, I am so pleased with their help.

Freedom kept their word with what they committed to. I was hesitant at first but felt more comfortable as they started settling accounts. I would recommend Freedom to friends and family. I am waiting for the final process which was the loan to complete funding to settle the remainder of my accounts. The online tools are great but I’m very dissatisfied with your customer service. No one gives the same answer on the same issue and I was told to own my mistake. I came to you guys to alleviate stress. I didn’t realize the fees you would charge per settlement would practically take me right back to what I originally owed. I enrolled in the FDR and NLLG programs, not long afterwards and unforseen I was served a summons that I am being sued. Called NLLG. There is nothing they can do. They said have FDR expedite my case, FDR won't until I have $5k in my account, I only have 30 days from receiving summons to respond and I have no backing from FDR or NLLG. Looks like I am going to court by myself. Phrases like ”Now that you’re enrolled in the FDR program, it’s no longer just you against your creditors. We’re on your side to help you tackle your debt.” Need to be omitted from your website.

We're very sorry to hear that you are getting sued by one of your creditors. We never want any client to feel like they are alone in this situation. Since you are enrolled in National Litigation Law Group they are the lawyers that would be representing you as FDR cannot provide any legal advice. Now the only way NLLG wouldn't be able to work on your case is if they did not receive the Summons and Complaint within the 3 days they asked per their agreement. They have to have the Summons within 3 days from you when you got served since it's a time sensitive. We know this can be very stressful as you are doing your part to become debt free and then dealing with this situation can lead you to feel the way you are feeling towards us. Good guidance and info for submission of settlement online. We weren’t sure how to go about accepting the settlement that was presented but the customer service representative assured us we had done it correctly. My credit union from which my drafts were being made changed their policy and stopped drafting from savings accounts without notifying me of these changes causing non-payment for October which put my settlements in jeopardy through no fault of my own causing me much stress and worry during these Holidays with a limited amount of money to pay my bills and put food on the table. I don't feel like being penalized for this bank's mistake and having my settlements renegotiated which I'm not willing to do and for good reason.

I called back the next day to find out it had NOT been corrected. That my account would be terminated and I'd have to call back in 2 weeks to have my account reinstated. I again asked to speak to a supv. Because this is and was an error on your agency's part and your agency needed to fix it. I should not have to call back after already spending 2 days on the phone for hours. I again asked to speak to a supv. Upon asking the csr reported that documents were going to be sent to me to again resign as my account has to be reinstated due to it being terminated and it could not be stopped. Documents were resent and I was going to be charged 9.95 1 time set up again. I asked for a letter or for the document to be resent as I should not be recharged due to this situation being your error. Csr agreed and told me to email the person who sent me the documents. I did and she stated she could not send a letter or waive the 9.95 and gave me customer service number to call. At this point I was sooo frustrated. I'm still not sure it's been completely corrected. And was advised to call back again next week to ensure it has been corrected. I have received any email or notification that it's been corrected. Completely unprofessional. I am disappointed to say the least as to how this error has been handled. There has got to be someone that could have overridden the cancellation and corrected this immediately. I should not have to continue to call to verify that this situation has been corrected due to your error. I would greatly appreciate an email following up with this situation verifying my account has been updated and corrected.

I feel you misrepresented the way the plan works. I was told you would negotiate my payments and pay them. When I received a warrant the whole story changed. When I spoke to a lawyer she advised me I was not the only person who felt this way.

I had become disgusted and depressed with myself after seeing my credit card bills racking up to well over $800 a month. I had tried a consolidation loan- which I ended up abusing my paid off credit cards with medical bills and groceries when times got harder to handle and ended up running their balances back up. I have been quite happy with Freedom Debt Relief and if they had not requested a review at this time I wouldn't say anything right now. BUT, since they asked. I received a new collection notice. I took a picture of it and emailed it to support as I have done many times previously from other collectors. I received an email saying there really wasn't much they could do with it right now since there aren't enough funds available at the moment. I pay into my account every month exactly as instructed. They suggested I add more money to my account. If I had that kind of money I wouldn't need their services.
Then I am made aware that money that was paid out to a creditor had been returned to my account because the creditor let the checks stale date. That was good but they kept their $500 fee although the creditor only took $20 and then stopped communicating. So I paid a very large fee for a very small settlement. That's not right. I have talked to customer service about both of these issues. I'll be glad when the program is over.

Everyone is there for you when you need them. The only thing I have an issue with is the rocks covering my front lawn. They did want to remove them but I had to move in my other home was being sold. I was lied to and misled about the whole process from day one. You did NOT reduce my debt, you just changed who got my money. In fact, Freedom Debt got more money than all my creditors combined. I called for a consolidation loan and was instead given this "GREAT" (your word), opportunity to save. I will NEVER use you or your services again nor will I recommend your services to anyone else.

I have just joined the Freedom Debt Relief but so far they have been very good at explaining how they work and what I have to do in terms I can understand. So far everything that has been said has been going on and I am very satisfied with the way things are going for me. I am on a fixed income and I could not have food on the table unless I ran up my charge card and more payments to make. At least now my bills slowly are being taken care of and I can afford to have meals on my table without running my bills up higher and feeling I was never going to be caught up.

I changed contact information as instructed but the creditors keep calling. Also when asked how much I bring home in pay I mistakenly gave an amount of $200 more per pay period $400 monthly. I would like to have the creditor calls diminished, they are very disruptive.

My time did not go perfectly. I am satisfied with them. But, they did not tell me my credit rating would go from good to terrible. When I was ready to drop them due to not doing anything they called in a lender to take care of my payoffs, that went well for awhile. Then when everything was going well, they made an error and didn't pay a bill that they were supposed to and things went down the tubes. It appears now that everything is going well, but, I don't dare get too excited about it until I see it completed. I expected them to be more professional. They have added a new item that is much better, we can give their address to our payees which will get them off our backs. I guess they are just learning too. If it all works out as it looks like it should it will be much better.

I am so excited I went w/ Freedom Debt. A friend of mine said his experience was awful, BUT for me it's going great and I have only been w/ the program for 9 months w/ 4 left to go and so far 1 creditor paid off and 5 others already in payment plans, with only 4 left in negotiations. Very pleased.

I needed to check and see if an account was enrolled in the program. I received an email saying it was not but I was pretty sure it was and it showed on the dashboard. The representative, Christina was able to help me. She verified that the account was enrolled. She also assisted me in how to increase the monthly deposit into the account. She was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and was concerned for me as a member of FDR. Thanks for taking care of my problem in a speedy manner and with minimum of hassle.

I called in regards to my payments, adding on my husband to the account, and adding on other accounts. The customer service rep that helped me was excellent. She was very nice and really tried to help me out. She was able to give me the information I needed, told me how to add my husband, and worked with me when I told her my situation in regards to payments and future payments.

I needed all my debts consolidated and somebody else acting on my behalf to make me less stressful. I researched online and Freedom Debt Relief was rated number 1 out of all the debt consolidation companies. The consultant was very informative and he rest assured all the doubts and concerns. It was a great and easy interaction. With the payment plan, they were able to cut my monthly expenses in half, so I could better budget myself and I got everything I wanted consolidated. Cost-wise, it was good because they didn’t have any hidden fees. The small fees that I had to pay were not exorbitant. I was satisfied so much that I had my son get in the program as well. It was a good program and I had a girlfriend that I tried to get into it. I told her that I didn’t have to worry and they took care of all the negotiations. All I did was approve it. Also, it was user-friendly and I could go online.

I had a large amount of debt and I had the best service. If I had questions they were right there to answer. If I needed legal they were right there to help me. Any time I called they help. When I needed to put off a payment due to health reasons they were very understanding.

So far, so good. I did have to use their legal team a while back. That was a tricky experience. Lots of bad communication! Otherwise, whenever I call to discuss my account, everyone has been really helpful and kind. The dashboard is easy to use, and you can view all of your accounts to see how you are progressing.

I have been having trouble logging in to the dashboard, but that my fault, I am not that computer savvy. I am there now. I feared being so far in debt and not being able to pay bills off. I joined another debt settlement company before, but I paid them $500 a month which was too much money out of my account and I was not getting anywhere. Then I found Freedom Debt Relief on Facebook and they sounded better than other debt settlement companies. They're taking care of some of my debts through settlements. The staff has been wonderful. They're very helpful and nice to talk to and they don't make me feel like I am an idiot. I would rather work with them than anybody else.
The quality of the service that I've received from Freedom has been very good so far and working with them has given me peace of mind and a little more trust in people again. They make me feel like I'm a human being, not just somebody who messed up financially. The're taking so much out for each bill, but it's very minimal. It is not enough but they are making it work. I've talked to other people about Freedom and told them that this is the way they need to go.

On Thursday evening I made an inquiry about transferring some of my money back. The young lady explained everything about what could happen if I had a pending settlement which I did not and honestly since I signed up for this program that's supposed to help me it hasn't done anything other than take my money every 2 weeks. I have repeatedly given the address and phone number to the creditors that this program is supposed to work with and again they have done nothing. I had asked about having 200.00 of my money transferred back so I can get my glasses repaired. And as of now I have gotten nothing to anyone considering using this program. All I can say is consider your options very carefully...

The funds you have in your dedicated account is your money and those funds are used to start negotiations on your accounts, also depending how much funds are in your account is when we can determine which account we can negotiate first. At any point a client is wanting to withdraw funds from their dedicated account they can do so, we just have to inform clients that it will push their graduation date to complete the program or if you have any settlements it can cause risk to lose those settlements. In your case, if you had no settlements then it would just push out your graduation date as we need funds to negotiate on your accounts. Now as receiving creditor calls it is normal, remember these creditors will continue to try to get a hold of you because they are trying to collect the debt that is owed. If you already updated your address to ours all you have to do from here on out is not answer those calls and if you were to receive anything in the mail then please reach out to us and we can help. I know this is something new for you but remember you're not alone, we will be with you every step of the way. You're already taking a step forward to becoming debt free! Your concerns matter to us. Started with five credit cards and got to the point of two thousand dollars of car repairs and different illness took over my life. Got to the point there was not enough money to pay everything and had to do something. Saw on the computer about Freedom Debt Relief and signed up. Got notice last week that maybe consolidation plus loan may take over and get us out of debt faster. I feel I am on the right road now.

Updated on 02/08/2021: Since I have been with FDR everything has been perfect, My debt has been decreasing and I'm a happy camper. They have systematically decreased my debt on a convenient monthly payment plan. They have been with me every step of the way. If I had any questions they were there for me.

I just started this program, everyone has been very nice and helpful. I do wish I could increase my deposits. However, until after the 1st of the year, I am stuck at this. I like getting information on program and I do.
