I was using Tinder for a few months. I was really enjoying it…and I was meeting and chatting with various men. About 4 weeks ago I got a pop up on my Tinder App. It asked me to verify my identity for security reasons. It asked me to take 2 Live Photos of myself and send them in. I did and then I was surprised at what came next. My App was disabled pending a review due to “questionable conduct”. I was confused and had no idea of what this was about? The message told me that it would take 2 hours to review my account and to just have s snack and kick back while a decision was being made. It took a lot longer than 2 hours.

The next morning I got up and tried to open my Tinder App. I got a pop up that said my account had been banned. I was shocked!!! What was going on? I tried to see if I could find a customer service phone number, but nothing. There is no person anywhere to talk to. I found a couple of help emails. I sent in 2 emails apologizing for I’m not sure what? I have waited 4 weeks snd not one response.

What a terrible company!!! They have no customer service and they even have the audacity to say online that they don’t have to return emails from customers. I still have no idea what I did wrong to get banned? I wish I had an explanation because it might be a misunderstanding. They gave me no explanation of warning, or second chance. It was like one day I had my app and the next I didn’t. And which professional company does not have a customer service number you can call?

What a terrible company… and the people running it!!! Since when are consumers and citizens of the free world not given a chance or an explanation as to what they did? Where are my democratic rights as s consumer to not know why I got banned? Not even the courtesy of an email response. Since when are consumers in the free world not treated innocent until proven guilty? I don’t know if someone made false claims against me? or I’ve been mistaken for someone else? Nothing because they won’t get back to me. Apparently, I was reading the reviews online and this has happened to a lot of people. What a terrible company!!! I would highly warn people against joining this App because you will get no service or help when you need it. Tinder will ignore you and keep you in the dark.

My experience on Tinder dating site was terrible. Lots of scammers phony and fake profile. I got ripped off on this site. I bought membership and I keep adding advanced features to help me find a soulmate or date. None of these advanced features or upgrades worked. Also made a complaint with the BBB for my refund of money. Boy that was a hassle but they did post them under their complaint reviews for the public to get reviews on. I would not recommend Tinder to anyone.

I am a 49-year-old gay man who has never used Tinder before, but I moved to the US five weeks ago and am recently divorced, and someone recommended it to me. As a newly arrived immigrant, I got a cell phone number from T-Mobile, also 5 weeks ago. When I attempted to sign up with said number, before I had had any opportunity to interact with a single person, I got a banned notification informing me that my number had been banned, so I was banned. I had paid for 6 months up front, because as others have mentioned here, you literally can't do anything without paying on Tinder. I assumed there had been some sort of mixup or mistake, given that I've barely set foot in this country. So I contacted customer "support" (heavily sarcastic quotes) and explained the situation in detail. I received the following response from:

"I’m very sorry to hear about this, however, please note that we take violations of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines very seriously, and do not offer an appeals process at this time. Consequently, your account will remain banned from Tinder." I feel like they're not really sorry to hear about this. I'm also willing to bet money that whoever they banned wasn't a middle-aged gay man who looked like me or had a remotely similar profile; just a hunch. I replied to repeat again that I have literally just arrived in the US and been assigned that cell number. I also asked if the number could have been recycled (it was, see below). They sent a virtually identical response: "You're banned for life, no recourse." Luckily, they did refund me, and from what little I saw of the app, I feel I had a lucky escape.

Constant upselling and a miserable experience. Plus zero to negative customer "service". I've just been on the phone to T-Mobile to complain, and lo and behold, they confirm that my number was indeed recycled from a previous user, which is incredibly common here and can happen within as little as 30 days. But who cares who that affects, right?

Tinder is by far the worst dating app. I studied the female profiles, finding that over 85% were either fake/scams or prostitutes. Plus, some of the prostitutes get angry when you say no, and they have been falsely reporting men as violating Tinder's Terms of Service. This leads to Tinder erroneously banning men's accounts. I cannot over-emphasize that Tinder is a horrible dating app, and that it should be ashamed. Plus, I hope they get prosecuted as a co-conspirator to all these scams and prostitutes.

Wanting to meet new people locally and afar, I decided to join this site, Tinder. After paying for the basic, I have learned AFTERWARD that you still cannot do much on the website unless you keep paying for additional services, such as to respond to singles that have yet to message you, you can only send so many stars (likes) before you have expired your set given amount each day. If you like the website still, then you would be enticed to want to pay an additional amount to get additional privileges such as being given more stars to send to other people. Basically, it's an "a la carte" membership. The more money you fork out, the more you get. The basic membership is not cheap either....Just sayin'.

Tinder was good but since 2021, they have began banning accounts. Provide no reason why, and no way to appeal it. Pretty soon, tinder will have very limited users which is a good thing because it has become nothing more than a hook up app for married people looking to have an affair, or a third. Or just people with stds looking to have a random encounter. This app disgusts me and I think it’s for the better I was banned. I had already began using a different app and so far so good. Tinder will eventually be nonexistent due to banning so many users so, oh well!

You can arrange a meeting for a “donation” or get a “massage” all for the right price. It’s not hard to tell the difference between an escort and a real woman by the profile pictures. Obviously if a woman is wearing lingerie or something very revealing they are advertising the product. It’s sometimes very disheartening to see so many young women selling their bodies. There are days I stop looking at profiles because there are so many.

When I was a non-member I probably received 10 to 15 matches over 6 months. I'm not paying the upgrade fees. It is obvious they are holding my account and any potential of matching with somebody hostage to paying upcharge and upgrade fees for services that usually would not be necessary. Tinder has been engaging in bait and switch tactics for years in which Tinder will send “ bait” to lure me to purchase thousands of dollars of add ons called “super likes“ then allow them to either disappear without use, be used on an overwhelming number of bot profiles or obvious fake profiles so that the consumer has to re purchase / replenish the super likes in order to get the few that actually do as they are advertised. I have undoubtedly spent thousands of dollars on these add ons and the bait switch program is alive and well at Tinder. If you are on the website long enough it becomes readily obvious that they engage in this practice by design. So why stick around? Because inevitably you’ll make a few contacts on the site that become important to you so you are essentially “hooked“ or “bound“ by the relationships you’ve built. Tinder knows this and uses it as bait to further lure you into purchasing more super likes.

Super likes aren’t the only add on they sell in order to steal. They have other products designed to lure customers into bait and switch tactics so that you’ll spend money on items that you’ll either never get, won’t work as advertised, or only work in very limited controlled occasions. I recently complained to Tinder about this and they immediately banned my account claiming a violation of their terms of use. I do not, and have not, violated their terms of use. They do that as a means to avoid dealing with your legitimate complaint. Once they ban you, you have no recourse. You can’t speak to them by phone, you can’t get a refund. You can’t sue them. Somehow, someway our fine politicians have allowed the parent company that owns Tinder (The Match Group) to operate without impunity, to steal consumers money without any recourse whatsoever.

It’s amazing to me that a State Attorney General hasn’t gone after the Match group for their obvious fraudulent business practices. If they are doing it to me this brazenly they must be doing it in large numbers. Anyway I can assist in changing their fraudulent behavior I’m happy to help. Effectively they have stolen thousands of dollars from me. I hope many see this as I will be spreading it all over the internet.

The ones that are real, if you do happen to match with them, never respond after a few back and forth messages. When you first sign up for tinder, you seem to match with half of the girls on there which make you think the site is great. you send all of them a message, you never receive a response. Just a bunch of fake profiles. You would have to be a fool to pay for tinder. Not sure why they ask for your city and distance. I'm incredibly frustrated. I've been using Tinder for years and today I logged on to see that I was banned for no reason at all. For the past few months I have been paying for Tinder Gold to see who my matches are. I wanted to use the Passport feature and because of the quarantine make new chatting friends. I tried to reach out to Tinder to figure out what the deal was. I go to their website and they don't have any sort of "Customer Service". I sent a maybe somewhat frantic email explaining my situation, as I read that sometimes appeals happen. On top of this I noticed that they conveniently charged me for Tinder Gold again the day I was banned. When I emailed their "My account was banned" section I continuously got the same automated response from a bot. " Your account has been banned from Tinder for violating our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines."

So I go to their TOS and read it carefully and I can 100% guarantee I didn't violate any of their terms. At all whatsoever. The one that did stand out to me was "impersonate any person or entity or post any images of another person without his or her permission." Which means that if it's community based reporting then if enough people (or person) "felt" I wasn't real, or wanted to maliciously get me permabanned then...that's it. Tough luck? That seems like a horrible business model. They have NO appeals system? So I was paying for months, really looking to meet people, but because I'm not into a guy or enough guys are skeptical that I'm real I'm banned forever? Guilty and no chance of being proven otherwise. I even offered to show my ID to prove I was real. Nothing! Insane! Hundreds of dollars wasted.

Additionally- they charged my account for another subscription of Tinder gold and claimed to have refunded me a month ago? Today being 5/14 they charged my account, but claimed that a refund was issued in April? Extremely incompetent. I also never received a refund so...they just banned me and took my money? Then lied about it? I responded with this, and I was ignored.

So, I upgraded to the gold version ( thanks to the advice of someone on a different forum, only for a month). Guess what, all the likes and matches disappeared one by one. The place is full of scammers and escorts. I have already cancelled my membership. You have more chance of meeting the Queen at your local Tesco than finding someone real here.

I was lead to believe this would allow me to contact or chat with the people that liked me. As soon as I paid, I received a few likes from people. However, you still can't communicate with them. The money only allows you to like more people. What a rip off. They should tell you exactly what each level gives you, but they don't.

They took my money then told me to upgrade to "gold" to send and receive messages and to actually see the likes. Isn't that what my first payment was for??? In the beginning I used Tinder as a pre game before I went out and never took it seriously. One day I came across his profile and could not resist. I liked him later that night he liked me and we were able to chat. I knew within 6 messages he was not like any other I had texted with and had to meet him. Because we were so brutally honest with each other and genuine it was magic.

We have been together for 3 months and still going strong largely due to our ideals and not wanting to move in together for a while, or parent each other's children we simply enjoy each other's time. It is 100% about fun, talking, we do dinner together every night, We stay together every night at each other's places and we inspire each other. He is truly my best friend and a man I can trust and look forward to. We give each other space and time with our own kids and have built relationships with each other's kids. We have taken the stupid out of it and won't fight about children or money the two biggest killers on a relationship. We have chosen not to live together until our girls are on their own. 2 or 3 short years and we are very happy with all the things.

I wish everyone so much luck and please know the really right person is out there. You just need to remember who you are and be honest with the people you choose to chat with. I never thought I would be with the right person for me. I never saw him coming. I had a very closed heart and was not wanting to settle with someone who was not really my companion. Do not bend. Do not break for someone. Let you guide you. It worked for us and we couldn't be happier.

Firstly the menus for finding issues has no double charge option.

Secondly to get in contact with them you have to dig around because they don't make it easy. Then you talk to the staff and no one has access to anything to help. Talk to a supervisor and they're equally useless. I was given the run around for hours and hours. Was told I'd be called back multiple times and never received calls. When I emailed support for help fixing this they refused to provide a reason and claim that they do not have a review process yet. Considering it has been a popular app for many years now you would expect them to have that sort of service so it's a 1 star review from me. Also many reviews on Google Play show that others have had the same troubles.

I hated the idea of objectifying people with real emotions and feelings. They prey on your desperation. Additionally, they offer no viable customer service. They have no idea what people want.

I’ve paid for and used Tinder for several years. I'm a paying customer! I decided to do a little research last week to try and write a better bio so maybe I’d have better luck with matches. I updated my bio and did not write anything inappropriate. I did not write anything that I haven’t seen before on other profiles. I listed a few things I am looking for in a partner, and none were discriminatory. I kept using the same photos I’ve used for a while as well. The next morning I open Tinder and a message displays that says I have been banned. I also had no active conversations with any matches at the time.

I took a screenshot of the ban msg and sent it support explaining what was going on. Well a few days later, the person named Madison that was “helping” me sent me a final msg that’s a generic response saying that I am banned and an appeal will not be allowed. If one person on the app don't like you 'cause of how you look or what you say in your bio and they report you, YOU'RE BANNED FOR LIFE!!! HOW UNFAIR! I’m disgusted I ever gave them my money.

I think it may be a bug resulting from iCloud email being different to Facebook email. Which triggers some kind of anti-fake account process. It seems my experience is similar to many others. I could not log in a couple of days after upgrading to a paid account. I have emailed support and awaiting reply but having read the comments I am not too hopeful. The technical issues are myriad and severe. I paid the $29.99 monthly charge for Tinder Gold, but the relevant features didn't actually unlock. I contacted support, but they sent me a useless form letter that didn't solve the problem. Looks like I'll have to do a chargeback.

There are other technical issues, too. If you use a VPN at all, beware. Tinder trusts GeoIP WAY too heavily, so it will suddenly decide that you've moved to wherever your VPN is located. It will start showing you people from hundreds of miles away without indicating to you that anything is wrong. Oh, and one of my email addresses was pre-banned before I even THOUGHT of starting a Tinder account. Apparently someone used my address to sign up (without having to click any sort of verification email), sent some inappropriate messages, and got permabanned from the site. Overall, Tinder is an embarrassingly poor product, and I regret trusting it with my payment details.

I have been using Tinder as a paying subscriber (1 yr/$149.99) for approx 6 months. I thoroughly enjoyed the service, and met some really nice people. Then out of nowhere, I was unable to login, and got an odd error message, that indicated I was banned! I thought this must be a mistake. My profile and pics were basic and not offensive in any way. All the interactions with others were nothing out of the ordinary... typical chat, no dialog was offensive or inflammatory. I am sure of it. I contacted Tinder asking why my account was banned, and I got this "cookie cutter" email response, basically saying what I already knew that my account is banned due to violating terms and conditions. I read the terms and conditions, and I did not break any of them!

So I replied back and insisted this was a mistake, and I wanted to know what exactly did I do to break the terms/conditions. Their reply was patronizing, as again it felt scripted and just reiterated that I was banned and that they could not provide any further information about it. I am very upset. I certainly respect the need for online social services to have terms and conditions, to protect others from harassment (etc.). But I did nothing wrong! They refused to give me the specifics, as to why I was banned. They have no appeal or grievance process, and as a paying subscriber who prepaid for a year, and I feel cheated and robbed!

I called Apple, and they said there is nothing they can do regarding refund, and that I'd have to take it up with Tinder. Meanwhile Tinder says refunds have to go through Apple... This experience has been awful. If they can provide some detail as to why I was banned, I can at least understand what happened. But I got nothing. From my perspective I was banned for no reason, and with no appeal rights. As a loyal paying subscriber I deserve these basic services. I have and will continue to share my experience and discourage all from using this crappy service. There are plenty of alternatives... I write this review in hopes someone over at Tinder will see this. Their customer service is appalling, and I truly feel I robbed. I did nothing wrong to violate their terms/conditions, and I am left feeling helpless and frustrated.

Received a 40303 error message which means I was banned. I know exactly what happened. Tinder gives you an ELO score that is based on how users swipe on you. One of the issues is if you hit a negative ELO score you're automatically banned. There are other reasons why users get banned but those reasons are more about misconduct. In my case I deleted my account multiple times and restarted. The website warns that if you delete your account and start a new one immediately within a few days then you are penalized with a lower ELO score. When I wrote into customer service about the error they said my ELO score was in the negative and that is not acceptable. So I am permanently banned and cannot sign up with my Facebook, e-mail, or phone number which are all permanently banned from sign up or use.

At some point I managed to actually log on but then would get repeated errors when I trying to find people near me again. It comes up, "Sorry something went wrong. Please try again later." It does this more often than he finds people. The app itself is difficult to use when it is working. It doesn't explain things well. Everything needed or worth having costs extra money. I felt I was just guessing on how the whole thing works. I don't feel like I know how my profile is being presented. I want to find people I have liked.

I am sure there is a way but it is confusing. Send with guidance and just fails extremely basic and designs to keep you spending at every level. The worst thing of all is how unreliable it is. If you do eventually managed to talk to somebody they will lose interest because you won't be able to Long Arm again a few hours later to talk to them you won't know why or what the problem is. It just saying that it's not worth more than it does. I have never had such an awful painful frustrating experience with anything running code before. I beg you go somewhere else. Don't even look at it. Never come back. Advise everyone to go somewhere else. I guess it's a business and designed to make money but at least you should get some kind of service for you on it. This is just rubbish rubbish rubbish x infinity.

Tinder from South Africa suddenly becomes Be2.com from Luxembourg. In the absence of an industry standard such as the right to UNSUBSCRIBE, made mandatory a few years ago, these guys provide NO way of clicking the AUTO renew button off. That means, when the end of your subscription arrives they will deduct the same amount which magically changes from R77 for six months, to R77 a WEEK! Good luck.

Hey guys, I was using Tinder for a couple of months until one day I got banned from the app for no reasons whatsoever. Customer service is useless sending you links to their policies and guidelines (from reading which you understand that you are as clean as an angel), maximum you get from them is "Unfortunately, we cannot provide any more detailed information at this time". No warning, no support, no interest in keeping you as a customer - just ban, that's it. Needless to say - no refund for unused subscription... You lose your money for reasons you don't know. After reading other people's reviews I understand that anyone can get banned without explanations... Even angels. Sadly Tinder was the worst internet community experience I have had in my almost 40 years of life...

After 2 payments of $76 I contacted them to request that my account be cancelled and a refund of the most recent charge of $76 (which was only 19 days prior to my request). They said that since it wasn't within 14 days, they refused to refund this charge. Although they knew I had not used the service for more than 6 months and would not use it for the subsequent 6 months for which my account was charged, this company has refused to refund any portion of the charge.

I asked SOLELY for Nicaraguan residents, not necessarily Nicaraguan women per say, just those in my specifically stated region. I received nearly 100 "requests" or "views" from probably 30+ countries and not ONE from what I specifically stated. With a little "encouragement" from the site I was told if I "upgraded" I'd receive more specific potential mates that I described in great depth. I have received zero, but again "requests" from every other continent other than the one I live in.

Farce, spend much time (another disappointment) that I was describing the needed description of who I "think" I am and what I "think" I want in a MATE in more than BS short story, the WHOLE dialogue was erased WITHOUT warning that my "session" had EXPIRED, try again. Not a lot of money, but yes even proved who I was "verified" with passport (Which I think is a nice valid point of eliminating falsified photos of others) but wasted a great amount of time and a lot of "deep" thought that I put into this. It's not a game, and I feel I got taken as an idiot looking for love with someone of same likes, but DIFFERENTLY within a physical location that makes meeting frequently a must.

No warnings, no support like, "Oh we don't think you should post this picture," not as much as an email saying, "Hi user thanks for the 100 you paid us but bye we have deleted your account and if you want you money back then follow this link which goes nowhere and try to understand the ridiculously complex refund process we set up so we can ensure we can steal your money." I joined Tinder for about 8 months and I recently deleted the app for a few reasons: Every time I get a match, I end up getting unmatched by numerous men probably since I am a trans lady/ladyboy, they are either just fooling around or they want to hurt me, not funny at all and very disheartening because most of us trans ladies are after a relationship too. Every time I text with a guy and he wants to meet up, he ends up either blocking/deleting his profile or he unmatches me and I never hear back from him again. The text gets deleted while in the middle of a discussion.

If there is a way that Tinder could improve its app by narrowing the searches to "men interested in ladyboy/transgender people", that would be nice, otherwise I wouldn't use this app ever again. Just a fair warning to transgender ladies who decide to use this app, if you get matched with a few guys on there, just be warned that you will be unmatched by some guys or get cut off while in the middle of a text discussion because they are here to fool you. I've been online dating for four years and all of the sites I tried never have worked for me and it is really hard for me as a trans lady without surgery to find that special someone.

Sadly they did, but I did report them to the BBB, the FBI and the police. I don't understand how Tinder is still in business if they don't have a true way for customers to contact them and how is that legal!? So not only am I out of money but have to make sure I won't be hacked and my information is secure! On top of that, they have three different locations for their 'corporate office'! So in other words they don't want to be held accountable!

I just as of 1 day ago finally decided to download the Tinder app. Had heard mixed reviews about it and I clearly see why. For one, I've practically given up on dating or meeting anyone for a lasting relationship. For one, I hear a lot of women complaining that most of the guys on there are scumbags just looking to get laid or use somebody. However, what these women are NOT being honest about is that most of the women ARE THE SAME EXACT WAY, except they claim to have justifiable reasons for acting in the same manner of motives that the guys they bad mouth are acting. Shame, shame, ladies. Tell the truth.

Secondly (I'm a guy), I must say that while there are douchebags on Tinder, as well as EVERY DATING SITE, and that there are douchebags in BOTH genders, it does make it next to impossible for well-meaning people to actually find a well-meaning person. I'm 35 and have my own money and all that, so I have no reason to mooch off anybody, and I also prefer to meet and have a LASTING relationship that is based on personality and common interests instead of money and sex.

I've swiped through quite a few profiles already, and I DO READ PROFILES instead of just swipe-like. From what I've seen, NO WONDER certain people can't find anybody! Look at the stuck-up trash they post on their profile description!

And finally, these dating/sex sites (or whatever you choose to call them) are NOT out to help you, the dear and valued customer, to find the love of your life. It is all just deceptive marketing. Marketing can make dog crap look like peach cobbler and sell it. The people who run these sites are only interested in only your wallets and bank accounts, and they couldn't care any less about you as a person.

Tinder and other social sites are a good thing when they are used responsibly, like staying in contact with friends and family. However, nobody should be oblivious from noticing that most, if not all of these sites, DO promote/advertise sex/hookup sites. Just be careful on these social/dating sites and DO NOT RUSH anything that may be going on between yourself and somebody else. Sex and pillow talk are for just a few hours. An actual relationship that is grounded in the right basis will last a lifetime if it is with the right person.

Great value considering it free and at no additional costs to use the app or to send messages. Other dating sites require membership payment to utilize their sites. This one does not. I prefer it that way. IT allows for more content and users. Unfortunately you never know how accurate the profiles will be because people lie or use old photos to get them more matches. Make it hard for the app to control the quality of matches. There aren't passwords when opening apps. That might not be a bad idea but it would take more time to open so that is probably why it isn't practiced. Super easy to use! It's not too complicated for users that aren't too tech savvy. Extremely simple and great for all ages. Someone with minimal experience using devices or apps will have no problem using this app. It's pretty self explanatory and simple. I would recommend it.
