I have been on a few other dating sites.. I'm 60 and a professional. I decided to try Silver Singles.. Worst money I ever spent.. I made it clear in my profile that I am not looking for a long distance situation.. YET, they continue to send me "matches"... from every state but mine.. I listed a 75 mile max but get options 3, 4, 5 states away!.. That's why they have a 3 month minimum instead of the other sites that you can join monthly.. I realized this in May.. but I've paid till the end of July. DON'T DO IT... This site is a waste of money..

The site is pretty useless. They ask for preferences but they are not even considered when showing anyone. It then takes forever for to find the few that interest you so it's a waste of time. First of all it's difficult to find where to ask about this when on the site. I believe I found the correct area, you cannot send a request to an email, but I have not received a response. Do not waste your money.

Worst dating site ever. Matches are from other states and countries!! TERRIBLE AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Lots of scammers also!!! Out of 426 matches less than 10 were within a 100-mile radius!! Do not waste your money!!

What a complete sham this site is - I swear SS sends out messages and likes from stock lady profiles they have that are not current members. Poor selection of matched profiles are sent that are outside your requested parameters. YIKES

Absolutely worst dating app: They give you ‘matches’ from other states (even though your settings are ‘within 50 miles), their customer care is absolutely pathetic and is not there to help you, they’re there to NOT give you a refund. DO NOT JOIN.

I had a 3 day conversation with someone using the photos from a Brazilian porn star. And another wanting me to transfer crypto to a 'mousetrap' dApp. Only possible legitimate contacts were from possible considerate ladies who thought 4 to 8 hour drive times were unreasonable.

I am widowed 2 years and SilverSingles was rated well in a search for online dating for older folks. I joined about 9 weeks ago and in that time, without exaggeration, more than half my matches have been in another state. I made short distance one of my important requirements. Or they have turned out to be scammers as I will get an email from the site. I was already scammed last fall on eHarmony so am aware of the signs now. This was a very disappointing experience.

I joined and was sincere. I attempted to reply to responses and was not able to do so and when I contacted Customer support, they told me that I am being Blocked and to send them a clear picture of myself with ID, both front and back. I paid for 6 mo BEFORE this and decided to not desire to send any more info overseas due to what is in my opinion Skectchy business practices.

DO NOT use this web site for dating. A person has to be cautious, as there are too many fake profiles on this site. I received a few matches that I considered to be "solid" matches. These people had more complete profiles with one or two photos so I conversed back and forth only to discover that as soon as they ask to connect, they ghost you- all communication is cut off. The real question is who are these people that are responding to the conversations? All fake, not real or genuine, a SHAM!

If there were a way to do a minus 10 review, that would be the real number. Read everyone else's reviews below mine that are negative. They are ALL true. I've had the exact same experiences. BEWARE of this company based in Berlin Germany. They could not care one way or another how you feel in the U.S. Too many customer care e mails about potential scammers and fakers. Also remember, companies like this PAY social media reputation management companies to delete or manipulate your 1 rating so it doesn't show up on Google. They are also paying marketing companies to do this as well so that anything below a 3 or 4 does not show up. Again: BEWARE of this offshore company. They don't care and not held to any legal standards by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission or the FCC.

No good matches and no response from most men. I bought 6 month membership. I’m a very positive person and have had success with other sites. The matches I received were out of my age range and there is no way to review the person's profile when you're matched. It’s just a picture. I want to know about a person, not pick a partner based on looks. Would recommend match or Hinge if you're serious about finding a relationship.

Is there a possibility to use negative stars? I paid the $158 for a 3 month membership and after the first week my impression is HIGHLY UNFAVORABLE! I've had communications with 6 "Women", 5 of those were scammers that I picked out within 10 minutes, the one that was a real, legitimate woman had so many Phobias and Neuroses it's Doubtful she would find a partner Anywhere in the World. She basically existed in a bubble. You have to be content with the matches they provide, it's impossible to do any searches independently of their algorithms. And nearly impossible to refine your searches either. The "New Matches" they provide everyday are well over 100 miles away. Really? I don't know what it's like from the female side on there but as a man I would rather go to a Bar than ever pay another dime to this trash site. You've been warned.

I am very disappointed in this company. They either send no matches at all, send fake profiles and messages (extremely obvious) or send matches and smiles from states away when I specifically said it was very important that my matches were within 50 to 100 miles. A complete waste of money! If you are on the fence, do not join!!!

I've been on the site for about a month. I have been enjoying it. I have not noticed a lot of scamming. Though my profile was flagged as a possible scam. I don't know why. I had to verify who I was to have my account unblocked. I'm making connections. Like most dating sites you get what you give as far as getting to know people and making connections. I would recommend this site to others.

Back away. Worst money I've ever spent. Nothing but scammers. Men make contact and if you're smart catch them with bad grammar. Check to make sure they even looked at your profile. If you are looking to attract the opposite of what you are seeking this is your best option. If you ask for 100 miles, you’ll get 300. If you wish to date your own race ** forget about it, 75% of your matches will be **.

I paid for a premium membership and was able to use the service for one week. Then I wasn't able to respond to messages. It kept telling me to reload. I then reached out to customer service. After waiting three days, I was told to send a photo of my driver's license or passport front and back. This was the only way they said would reopen the account.

I’ve collected over 50 emails from Silver Singles (below) saying they value my security. Yet, the fakers are prolific. One of them just admitted they are fake tonight. I’ve canceled but have to wait until the end of the subscription. Don’t waste your time or money. There are much more authentic dating apps. This is useless. Most of the matches don’t even come close to my preferences and include matches in different states or a very long distance. I’m done

Firstly, they only give you 3 days to request a refund. They do not show you local matches until after that time period. They only allow a MINIMUM miles range of 50 miles, what senior do you know wants to drive to another state to meet someone? There are many scammer profiles and very few actual people on this site. Buyer beware. I am feeling the purpose of this site is to scam people, I can find scammer profiles faster than they can.

Be very careful. Mostly fake profiles. After about 2 weeks I started saving the emails sent by the site to advise me and I have better than 35 of those. But there are more that I found myself. I found one on a popular video site on a 'these men have had their picture stolen' video, another is really a local realtor. The only good thing is that it took less than 48 hours to get the two I reported off the site. I wonder if they even check or just take them off if anyone reports them, since there are so many. Someone wrote to use another site, but believe it or not the others are even worse. At least it's easy to report on SS which is not true on some others. Look out for "I have an accent...hope you don't mind", they were born in country A, were moved to B, then came here, and their parents are from C and D. Then they all have THE SAME ACCENT from a third continent! I was on these sites 10 years ago and it was not this bad. :(

This site is swarming with fakes and scammers. The platform will censor subscribers attempting to warm prospective matches. They rejected my summary that said, “due to the large number of scammers on this site, I will require you to go on FaceTime or Zoom.” They wouldn’t let me state this fact, even though it’s true. Be aware & know that you need to do your own screening to protect yourself. I’m getting off here as soon as my subscription ends. Find another site.

As soon as I canceled my subscription (having paid $150 upfront for 3 months) I could no longer see pictures of my matches. So I got one week of use of the product. Who can pick matches without a photo?

Run to don't walk. All you get are fake profiles. Don't understand how it can be listed as top website. Only been on it for 1 month, every person I messaged came back as a fake profile. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

I was fortunate enough to receive a full refund $195 after filing a complaint. They claim to have a 3 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY which is unheard of. After contacting my credit card company SS agreed to a 80% refund but then finally refunded 100%. Out of all contracts in three weeks only 1 wasn’t a confirmed scammer!

My membership account was hacked and my message page showed that I was sending messages and smiles to people I had never contacted. In addition, when I tried to explain this to the company my account was deleted, an email was sent to everyone I had contacted saying my account was under investigation, and they are keeping my membership fee.

From the start, the deceptive wording of account payment led me to believe I would be charged monthly, however a total amount was charged at one time. They claim "refunds are easy, simply contact our Customer Care Team", however I was refused a refund twice. Once after the lump sum withdrawal from my account, and again, after discovering so many fake accounts messaging me. Soon after I started using the account, I began to receive matches out of state, and they kept coming. There is no profile function to change this on their site. There is no function on the site to get rid of the so-called "matches" that were not even close to any of the parameters I set on my profile, so they keep piling up in one big mess that you can't control.

I have been a premium member on this site for roughly 9 months. The number of fake profiles has increased dramatically over the last six months. At this point I would estimate that roughly 80% of the contacts I receive are from fake profiles. They seemingly have no ability to screen out the scammers. It's ridiculous. Do not waste your money. There must be better options.

Horrible date app, most of them are fake or far away. 6 months membership and no one Single date. Bedside I cancelled membership and they renewed automatic. I will try another date app, don’t waist your time And money.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I rec’d an email from a person on SilverSingles, on a closed account. I contacted S.S. customer service and asked how someone got my email. NO RESPONSE. I had paid for 6 months at $140. but closed within 30 days, so reopened to see if I could find out what was going on. Then my account was HACKED, someone posing as me sent multiple smiles and messages to at least 40 men asking to go to a URL web page for photos, (note: they had deleted mine). So, I sent an apologize to all of these people stating that their system may have been hacked if they went to that web page. I have contacted Silver Singles multiple times with NO RESPONSE. The only thing they did was to delete my account and keep my money. Bottom line I have no idea how much info. they got off my account, and SILVER SINGLES REFUSES TO ANSWER ANY EMAILS.

I completed my profile and EVERY day my matches were NOT even close to what I included as criteria for someone to date. I was matched 99% outside of the race I selected and 80% outside of the 50 mile radius I requested. Don’t even include your religious preference. I was matched with men who said they were Christians but nothing in their profile suggested that. Whatever method SS is using to complete their matches, it is WAY off! I canceled my membership before the month was up and I had a 6 months subscription. SilverSingles is the WORST! I just wished I would have read the reviews first and not got thrown off by the Forbes rating.

I signed up & answered all the questions. I tried to log back in later that day and it kept saying that my I had been logged out and to login again. I tried & it never let me but kept giving me the message to login again. You can’t call anyone but I reported it through email. Their Customer Service said they’d blocked me due to inconsistencies. I am not sure what they meant by that but it would have been nice to know they had blocked me (and what the problem was) vs asking me to login over and over. I do not recommend this site. I have asked to be removed and for a refund but we’ll see. Waiting on a response.

Considering this is an online dating site, the overall profiles on the site (and my subsequent communications with certain people on the site) seem to suggest that this site attracts a good quality of person...People who are 'real people'...who aren't there to just browse or pass the time...but people who truly want to meet someone in the real world...not just chat back and forth.

I signed up for SilverSingles and it's been a horrific experience. The site is full of scammers and I've yet to find one legitimate profile, probably with the exception of mine! In my opinion the site is set up by scammers for those lonely and looking for love. If I can spot them how come the site can't spot them before they're so called "approved"?? I'm in NYC and can't believe they can only find matches for me 50+ miles away and now my matches all have no photos with no questions answered. Save yourself the time and MONEY and certainly a learning experience for me.

I received a lot of ugly and suspicious matches, also there is no video call available through the website, this site is ongoing money collection and scam. I wonder if this website is actually checking potential scammers to protect normal people.

Get ready to jump through fire if you want to cancel. Obviously the reason why so many people want to leave is because this site is inefficient and useless. There are better and worthy sites, like J4Date.club - this is where I met my woman. I had been wasting plenty of my time and money on SilverSingles until I came across a normal site. SilverSingles didn't work out for me and many other people according to the reviews. I suspect they actually don't aim at providing any dating services. They are focused on overcharging you and keeping you on automatic renewals until you notice it and start struggling to stop them from doing this.

I wish I would have seen the Consumer Affairs reviews before I signed up for my first paid subscription on a dating sight--I am SO disappointed and angry! I asked SilverSingles for a refund in the first 24 hours due to several inconsistent issues, no safety as far as being able to block people (that I could definitively find), having the really bad website not work right, dump my comments, throw me out, and a high schooler could do a better job creating this site. I couldn't find where I wanted to go or what choices we had to find the different pages--The "carousel gave no choice but to either 1) have to leave a message, 2) send a smile or 3) erase their profile forever. There is no menu that can lead in the right direction other than 3 little icons that aren't very clear, I found no way to block a demanding creeper that gave out his phone number in the first couple minutes I was on--

Good God what a scam pool. Some were obvious. One woman's picture used three times, with one getting switched after 2 days from an attractive blonde Eastern European to an attractive Asian. I mean, at least try! Another profile, which matched, lead to a woman with a very odd and unnatural way of communicating, and figured out someone was using an AI program to write their stuff. Another one strung me along and ended up trying to sell me bitcoin workshop garbage. I think the fakes are just making it difficult to trust the platform. My experience is that over half of what I've found are fake or misleading. Just a higher priced version to get same results from competition.

Just when I started communicating with a great man, everything went silent. I thought, is this guy ghosting me? (And on Halloween? LOL). Instead, it appears I am among the selected few to be investigated. And for what? Wanting to exchange phone numbers and emails to send additional pictures and have conversations (which this app does not offer a means to accomplish). So now the guy I was communicating with likely thinks I'm some scammer, and I'm out the money I've paid for three months of a membership to an app that I can no longer even log into while I'm being investigated. Silversingles.com is HORRIBLE! The app is slow, lags, and if you want to carry on communication via private email or video chat they block your account and send out a warning to all your contacts not to communicate with you because you’re being investigated for fraud! The app is SUPPOSED to connect you also with people geographically as you choose but instead blocks locals and connects from states away!

My account was automatically renewed before it expired. I have read about this happening to others. It's a very deceptive practice, and they refuse to delete the charge. This tells you everything you need to know about the company. Be very careful!

This site is loaded with scammers. Also their so called "matching" is ridiculous. Until they do something about the scammers I'd stay far away. They also have shady billing practices so be very cautious about giving them your money.

As so many others have noted on this website, their algorithms are absurd. Also, their billing practices are horrible. If you feel you must sign up, be forewarned that you must sign up for automatic renewal, and be sure to cancel within three days of signing up or else you will be automatically billed upon renewal date, and you will not be able to get a refund. Also, be aware that consumeraffairs.com is likely complicit, as they tell you upfront that they are paid by merchants. As of 7-25-23, of the 92 reviews which consumeraffairs.com alleges to have received in the past year for Silver Singles, you can only see 62 of them. I looked at all 62, and 53 of them (85%) were ONE STAR ratings, yet Consumeraffairs.com claims only 22% of the reviews are ONE STAR. There was one THREE STAR and two FOUR STAR reviews, and NO (ZERO) FIVE STAR reviews, yet Consumeraffairs.com claims 29% and 21% (respectively). Well, like they say, "not all reviews are published".

While I have met/communicated with men on the platform, I have only IRL met three. The preponderance - maybe 97% - live 50 miles or more away from where I live, as there is no shorter distance choice available with Silver Singles. Many men do not include a picture, many men appear in their car, in their living room surrounded by pets, are in their undershirt in their bedroom, at the gym in whatever clothing, etc. I have found the thumbs up facebook liking part ridiculous, as I am not looking for likes - I am looking to communicate in words and not graphics/thumbs up.

I've found that most subscribers "matched" with me are not within 50 miles of my zip code. To reduce the number of "matches" even further, the number of subscribers without a picture is alarming. If contact is so secret and difficult, what is the point and what are we paying for. I will not renew.

Site does NOT match you with your preferences. These people are from all over the world! Waste of money! I don't know where this site gets these people. Money grabber! No refunds! I Not moving, are you???

This site limits you to a specific number of contacts they made as a referral. There is no way to skip over someone unless they are blocked or liked. There might be an instance where you just want to skip over them and come back later which is not offered. Me along with a man I was talking to received an email he was being investigated by them, to me and I got the email he was being investigated for me. I called customer service to find out why and had to wait 45 minutes to reach someone and then they tried to tell me Silver Singles did not notify either of us. Just what are the odds of that are infinitesimal.

I caught this site in blatant lies. They give you parameters such as age, ethnicity, and distance. But do not follow their own rules and inundate you with tons of "So-Called" matches and most if not all of which are completely fabricated to keep you engaged and of course paying for access. At least porn sites give you something for your money! Do NOT give this site your money! Also...this site is base out of Germany. Does that tell you anything?

Terrible dating site! What a waste of money! I would strongly advise people not sign up for this website. No pictures on most profiles. I have a feeling that means they're in a relationship and sneaking around. I did talk to someone that was. Once I called him out on it, he said he was just looking for a friend. Prior to me busting him, he said he was getting a lot of naked pictures and doing a lot of sex talk with the women he talked with. I think in 6 months I got a few smiles. The two other dating sites I use, I get bombarded. Obviously a problem with this one! I wish I had my money back!!!

After several back & forth emails, I received a partial refund. They charged me for only one month's usage. Good enough for me. Adios online dating for me anyway.

First off, their website says $34 and some change for a 6 month subscription but then when you go to subscribe it was suddenly $83 dollars and some change. I messaged the company and they refused to answer why they are lying on their website with those numbers. Consumer Reports is also reporting those same low subscription rate numbers from their site but they actually charge almost 3 times that amount to subscribe. Consumer Reports needs to validate the rates and report the real amounts they are charging and not the amounts they are stating on their site. Try and set up a profile and find out or email their customer service to verify current rates please. You only have 500 character spaces to write in for the different sections for things about yourself, what you are looking for, etc...

Big waste of money. The majority of men on the site are fakes - they send you an email telling you but why waste all that money when the majority of the men on the site aren't even real? My suggestion - find another site.

READ all reviews--then go somewhere else. They take your money, refuse to refund it when they send you "matches" that are not close to what you entered in your profile. Almost 35% of my matches do not have photos, another 55% live out-of-state OR out-of-the-country! The balance of 10% do not respond--probably because they were also "taken" and no longer want to get involved with this Rip-Off business!

Unfortunately, this dating site is awful. The platform is impossible to navigate and matches that are sent are not even close to what I stated in my profile. I requested a refund after 24 hours and was told "they don't do that". They send suggestions for people that are not in the country and with cities that don't exist. Customer service is terrible. There should be a satisfaction guaranty; especially if a member reports their dissatisfaction after a short period of time. Even a partial refund would have sufficed.

I paid an exorbitant amount of money and requested matches within 50 miles and matches younger than 66 yr old. 80 percent of my matches are outside my geographical area, and age request. Also, 10% of matches don't even have a photo, or it only shows their dog. Most have NOTHING in common with me, and we are simply matched because we posted we were 'loyal.' Do not sign up for this site - I live in a very large metropolitan area and I have only had one match in 3 weeks from my home city. Ridiculous.

In May 2022, I called the customer service at Silversingles.com several times to cancel the membership. But nobody picked up the phone. There is a trick and fraud made by this company. I have followed the instructions of cancellation and have entered the end of date of subscription 05/11/2022 on my account. However, this company still charged me $116.05 in 11/11/2022. Today when I logged in my account, I found this company changed the end of date of subscription to 05/11/23 after this company charged $116.05 on 11/11/2022. This company made a fraud on the customers. I requested a refund, and it was denied. NEVER SUBSCRIBE SILVERSINGLES.COM

Use PLENTY OF FISH instead. They have have FREE MESSAGING. Yes, you can pay for more features but Messaging is free. So, you can chat and meet people without paying. SILVER SINGLES is just an ELABORATE SCAM! You can't do anything useful as a free member. I WASTED HOURS setting up a profile, taking their "personality tests", and THEN found out that you can't see profiles, message, chat, see photos or anything else unless you pay $20-30 per month! A total waste of time!

First their prices are ridiculous. I thought it was because they must have a good selection. NOOO! The worst I've ever seen... To make matter worse some crazy guy is stalking me from their site. This site will lie about how much also.

I joined this site about three months ago. I said I wanted to date people within 100 miles of my home but I keep getting people hundreds of miles away being pushed. Evidently not a lot of singles in my area and I live in a huge metropolitan area. You also get about six scammers a day saying, "My friend saw your picture on the site. Please email him at this address. He wants to get to know you." Total scam. I keep reporting this to SilverSingles but they don’t care. Lack of dating material combined with the scamming makes this site a no go. Don’t waste your money. I have three more months left of this crap.

This dating site has to be the fakest ever!! The site states there is a matching number from 0-100. So when you see 105 or even 172 as a great match, it's just one of hundreds of fake profiles. Steer clear of this site, it's just money down the drain.

No ladies, but they send males and some ladies. What a rip off. There should be more regulation on all these sites. For other people look elsewhere. I am sure there are better sites out there. Put your credit card away and save money.

If I could give a zero star I would. Their algorithm is broken. I get people from over 200 miles away on my profile app. These people are also out of my dating range as much as 5 years. I complained, they said they would give me half my money back. But what they did is block me from responding. Do not use this site. It's all full of scammers and false profiles.

The same person is on both sites using different towns, even different states! Someone is making lots of money. I'm so mad at myself for wasting my money!

Since joining a short time ago I’ve been inundated with messages from scammers. I’ve reported this many times to no avail. I asked to cancel my membership however, they would not cancel until Jan 2023. I would highly recommend not going anywhere near this website.

I signed up for Premium service with SilverSingles back in January. At first, I connected with a few people, who all turned out to be fake profiles, constantly changing phone numbers, etc. After just a short time, I logged in to cancel my premium membership. Later, I kept getting notices about automatic renewal; however, when I logged into the site, I could see my cancellation. THEN they started contacting me trying to collect for my premium renewal, and made it incumbent upon me to prove I'd cancelled earlier. Of course, they nixed my ability to access the site to prove this. Now, they are threatening to sue me and ruin my credit rating. Please steer clear! This is not a reputable site, and is run by people who have no discernable ethics.

I joined SilverSingles after my breakup with boyfriend of 6 years. The site have limited choices, I paid $106 for one year. I've been on the site 3 months, had one date, many reach out to me, some are scammers, not a good choice of men of **. I would not recommend SilverSingles if you are looking for a serious relationship. Most men on this site are serial daters (at this age let it go). My subscription end in November. This site has tainted my belief in dating sites.

I am a female over 50 and need to protect myself. I did not feel safe on this site. There were so many scammers that will send you a different person's email and this is a scam. This is such a large company that should be able to program this site to stop that. Beyond that there were many matches at first and then almost none for weeks. There is no refund for the money you pay and now I've read that they still will charge your card for auto pay. Have not had this happens but as messed up as this company is I suspect this will happen.

After a six month subscription, I did not find this site valuable in the quality of matches (not one person date resulted) and further I thought I had cancelled prior to the auto renew but they refuse to refund the auto renew. As others have noted, there were also a lot of scammers who either had false profiles or trying to use someone else's profile to initiate contact.

I signed up on Silver Singles over 2 months ago and am overall very dissatisfied with this site. Not only is their choice of matches mostly all wrong, but I haven't been able to access private messages from other members in months. When I reported the problem to the site, they replied I should try a new browser (!!). Also, there are TONS of fake profiles and oddly, the messages from those scammers always came through to me. Another thing: I tried to call their customer service number and was put on hold for over 40 minutes and I finally hung up. Do not waste your money & time!!

This site is a total joke. I get 10-15 'smiles' every day that are usually younger than 50 and many have no photos. Others have even written their phone numbers on their pictures. I have also limited my search to 100 miles but these 'scammers' are from all over the country. I tried to cancel this account but was told I could not because it had been more than 3 days. I have also reported and asked for help to stop these type of contacts - to no avail. I have not found anyone that I would want to go out with.

This site is now taken over by scammers. They take advantage of the free 3 days starter deal to open bogus accounts and send out 100s of "smiles" to pull in the gullible. Your inbox will quickly fill-up by scam messages. This site is a total waste of time and money.

I am having the same experience as others who are receiving too many messages that either request I contact them through their email address or say they have a friend and to contact their friend through the friend's email address.

Silver Singles is a very ineffective, frustrating website/app for 'dating'; In over four months, I only encountered ONE viable/realistic dating option... Why? I got more "messages" from #TinderSwindler-type guys than regular, pleasant messages ...They had a scripted way of telling me about their "friend" [not on the site], "interested" in me... & gave email/phone information for me to contact them (or asked for MINE ...).

At first I had good matches and would have given them a 4 star review but the last three to four months, I have been getting scammed about 20 to 30 times a day and they refuse to admit it is a problem or make any reasonable effort to correct it. 99% of the smiles I receive are either way too young for me, or l00s of miles away or they have usual scams on them, such as I have found somebody but have a friend that I think that you should get in touch with, or worse almost everyone has their email or Gmail in their screen name, and or they have their phone number or text number on their main photo. More expensive than most, and I am getting off. Check out the last ten reviews, all ONE STAR.

I get so many fake individuals smiles at me daily. They figured how to access the software and just send a smile. Most are under 55 years of age and hundreds of miles away from me. They send a smile, sometimes with a phone number on their forehead or picture. It is difficult to report a smile as a scam, whereas if they had sent a message you can more easily report the message as a scam. I contacted the company twice about it and their response both times is that it is a problem with all dating sites. I indicated there should be an easy way to click on these smiles to both delete them and report them so they can be blocked by the company. There was no good answer to that. You need to click three to four times to delete the unwanted smiles.

I have been a member for about a week and I am 66 year old male. I am getting numerous "smiles" in my messages from females 'in other states' some local to my area and from women 38 to 45 years old. I have noticed that when I check the site, I suddenly get a barrage of smiles all sequentially at the same time. In the beginning I got a few smiles from some women (if not some type of bot) closer to my age and within my requested 50 mile radius, however after answering with a smile, have received no return contact.

I had hopes for this dating site but they are riddled with scammers. Sometimes I'll get 15 messages (in one day) mostly with someone's email address (or phone) as the profile name or they have some silly name with a single picture with a phone or email written on the picture to contact them. You can't report these smiles as they are not a message. It's time consuming to go thru these as sometimes you can't tell the difference between a legit smile or scammer without opening the message... 95% scammers. I've contacted customer support several times asking them to clean up this site but get the standard cut and paste blah blah blah message. I've tried several sites and Match.com has been the best with almost zero scammers so far.

Hi. I got myself registered with SilverSingles without reading the reviews and I will have to admit this fact and blame my ignorance. I created my profile which took a considerable time and had to answer a few questions. After I completed the procedure and made my payment, I realized that under my Profile section all my responses are reflected as rejected. I tried several attempts to rectify but I still get the same message. I tried sending 7-8 emails to the customer service report and I get a notification of a ticket number saying that I will get a response within 48 hours. But, there is no response and no one bothers to reply to your email. I tried calling the number provided on the website to only realize that the number is not valid. I felt duped and I would want to caution others out there to remain vigilant and be wary before you make payment as there is no help rendered by anyone in this company. This is my personal experience.

Somehow young scammers use the Silver Singles email address to send a picture with their phone number written on it. Some actually create a profile that you can block. l complained to SS and they acted like they knew nothing about it. RIGHT. DAAA. l was getting 20-30 contacts a day, had to block their email address as they make it hard to quit.

Silver Singles is a total waste of time and money, I would go into detail, but there's already been so much bad written about them I don't think I could offer anything new or different. The only activity you'll have is deleting messages from scammers.

This matching service is nothing but a SCAM & it's giving people the opportunity to SCAM you if you don't know any better. When you try to report the SCAMMERS you get a generic form letter that I'm sure they send to anyone that complains about the scammers. I asked for a refund which was declined. Don't commit to the so called premier service. SCAM SCAM SCAM & you will be throwing your money away plus you're setting yourself up to lose a lot more being SCAMMED..

I just can't believe this company can stay in business! They do NOTHING to vet the people who sign up. If they cared at all about creating matches and not just stealing people's money, they would require an ID and some sort of true verification. It appears all they do is let people sign up and create these ridiculous profiles that are thin (no information), broken English (not from around here), scammers who immediately want to get your phone number and talk offline. When I say I'd like to meet they get nervous because they're mostly in India or Russia or somewhere hoping they can scam you out of money. Do they think women in the US are desperate for their lameness??? I know there are catfishing schemes that people fall for, but honestly you'd have to be an idiot to fall for these guys - they're not even good at it.

I get so many scams every day. They (scammers) figured how to get in and just send a smile so you can't report the message as a scam... Matches are mixed in with Elite Singles sometimes. What a waste of money and you can't get a refund... Terrible. Scammers use email addresses or phone numbers as their profile name or write phone numbers and or emails on their profile photos... How the heck is this even allowed?? No one is awake who runs the site?? Stay away...far away... just sayin.

I have done a few different websites in the past and this should be SHUT DOWN. I’ve received so many scams but the last straw was a picture of a man with his penis. No one is monitoring this website and you cannot contact anyone. I will make it my business to close this website down.

Fake accounts, sends profiles with no images, sends profiles that live 5-7 hours from where I live many times, and when you cancel your account they will still charge your credit card the next day, and the price is almost double what it was before. You can call the customer service 800 number but no one answers. Kept the phone on speaker, on hold, for over three hours while I did things around the house and no one ever answered.

I actually feel like I I work for Silver Singles, spending most of my time reporting all the fake profiles and messages I get. I'm serious people, if it weren't for these fake messages & their profiles (which are easy to determine by their broken English, obvious lack of understanding where people live and how tall they are in inches, other laughable factors), I wouldn't get any messages at all! Customer Service has ignored multiple emails from me. Also their Website and app work differently from each other. Add to that constantly getting notification emails that a prospective date has left me a message or visited my profile, only to click on the link and find there's nothing there. It's hard to believe how badly run and put together this site is. Complete and utter waste of money and time.

Many, many fake profiles. Had my account hacked twice! They send matches from other states even though I requested 50 miles radius. There is no software to prevent users to hack accounts even when your Email has not been provided. I do NOT RECOMMEND.

I have properly filled out their questionnaire. I have repeatedly asked them to send people who are with 50 miles, Christian based. They keep sending people 2, 3, 4 hours away in an effort to "send matches" I receive agnostic, Jewish, Buddhist etc, I have sent back at least 40 replies that the match does not meet my profile nor my distance. They keep sending ones that are not close to my request and I spend hours and hours deleting them and going through the screens asking me to tell them why. Daily this happens Better to send less frequent matches that are appropriate. Don't waste your time with this site.

I recently lost my Wife after 23 years of marriage. I'm very hurt and lonely and desperate enough to join to Silver Singles. I never use a dating website in my whole life. Basically what happen a member of Silver Singles who obviously posted a fake profile decided to contact me and she give me her e-mail!! So we start communicate via e-mail. I was shocked to discover that she was from Russia so I quickly figure it out that she posted a fake profile and her true purpose become pretty obvious. She basically lie about seeking a long term relationship with me in order to obtain the US Visa! Then the Silver Singles match me with some Asian Women and today I begin to think those Women for what I know are from China or Korea who are hunting for an American in order to obtain the US Visa. So I send a complaint to Silver Singles and asked a refund and they apologized to me and promised to refunding my money!!

Not worth the $. My only option was 6 months upfront. The males can sign up for less time. Also many, many matches come with no photo. (You can request but they don't send). Seems creepy. I'm also short so many of my matches are also short. I can only choose if they need to be near my height or not, can not choose height preference. Site also tells me my 50km range is too narrow. If you just want lots of pen pals from across the country, then this is the site for you. My advice, go elsewhere.

I paid for premiere membership and regretted it within days. I'd say that a good 60% of the "matches" I receive are fake profiles. Photos stolen off the internet, English clearly their second language (when they claim to be born and raised in Nebraska or something), messages along the lines of, "You are a very beautiful Queen. I would love to take care of you." I've had exactly two conversations with real people, but neither of them were my "type." But at least they were actual people, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. SilverSingles is really a huge waste of time.

I have been subjected to several incidents where the person messaging me has asked for my email and/or phone number which is against the rules of the site and indicative of fraudulent identities. Twice SilverSingles has notified me of suspicious characters and their profiles were deleted from the site. I have not received responses from probably legit matches when I send a smile or a message. A great number of the matches do not have photos, in all the experience has been very unsatisfactory. I would not recommend SilverSingles.

Beware if consider on joining. I decided to join a site as paying member. Site limits to 9 matches people per day which is ridiculous as a paying member. This site is worst experience & customer service is non existent. Received emails 5yat I have messages however site says no messages. I want a refund. 3 months & 50. It's like I threw away $50.

I bought a 6 month subscription to this service. I set my preferences to include matches from 50 miles of my home city. To date, after almost 3 months, I have had less than 10 matches that are even in that area. Not to mention I started receiving, in the E mail account I created ONLY for this site, E Mails from complete strangers who got my E Mail and were asking me to visit their website or call. I am certain these people got my E Mail address from Silver Singles. Customer Service is horrible. They respond with canned form E Mails and never answer specific questions.

Firstly, I found that there were not very many profiles at all for this type of search. Second, "Matches" were people that lived over 400 km away, not reasonable, especially when I put in my profile a reasonable 100 km distance preference.

Unless you look like you belong on tv or in a commercial, don’t waste your time. You could write to dozens of women on here, but only 1% will ever respond back. It’s just like every other dating site. The women say one thing, but your pic tells all to them. They don’t want to waste time finding out that you are a really good catch!

Their web implementation fails to recognize for us savvy seniors, it's a look before you buy approach and they don't allow a good look.. Instead transfer look see to signing up. Profiles aren't real. Initially you get fake messages sent by bots, they match you with everyone and anyone, but then the bots stop responding you and that's it. Plus their women are very beautiful and in general they don't care about age difference, there is no ageism and you can easily find a younger woman if that's what you're looking for. I purchased a 6-month premium membership. They had no matches at all. Women from far away were presented as a match but did not meet 1 criterion. Mostly 15 years out of range up and down. Most matches that they offered were spam or fraudulent. The pictures could be found (Google research) to be stolen pictures from websites like the Birds Friends community and other google search pictures or where simple cutouts of decorative picture frame pictures from Walmart and Amazon. Many accounts and their match offers just copy and paste accounts. The information is not used to find a match, but to sell to the industry. So I found out that my data are sold to the Industry and because this is a German corp. based in Germany I got now tons of German advertising spamming my all mailbox.

This one one of the worst dating apps I've ever been on. I joined the app and paid 65.15 for a subscription. Shortly after subscribing I met a man and had our first date. The experience was terrible. The man was manipulative and abusive. I immediately got off the website and deleted my account. A month later I decided to give it another try, thinking I just had a sour apple in the bunch. When reestablishing myself I was again forced to subscribe for another 46.00 just to communicate with others. I paid the amount and a week later I realized they charged me twice!

I signed up for silver singles "free 30 day trial". You get nothing free so don't waste your time. You can't see anyone's picture and you can't respond to anyone's message even though they can see you... If you join you are roped into paying for 3 months, 6 months or more with no possibility of terminating your membership. What they're calling a free month is providing zero experience or services so in fact you are blindly having to pay money without knowing what the quality is or will be. Customer service takes three or four days to respond to any questions and my first week I was posted as a lesbian (I am not gay) with no recourse or way to correct my profile. Please don't waste your time with this company as they are cheap, greedy and don't care about their customers or quality of service.

A similar letter was written each time, asking me to respond to an email or phone number. Did those scammers also pay or is this site also a bogus setup for aging people? I was refused a refund.
