If you are thinking of purchasing a premium membership. STOP RIGHT NOW! DO NOT DO IT! This was the biggest waste of time and money that I have experience on any online dating site. The MOST of people that they matched me were not a match at all. You are unable to seek a match for yourself you had to wait for them to match you. There were even times that there were NO MATCHES on my page. It was my worst experience ever. And to top it off when I tried to cancel they keep giving you the runaround- sending you to various pages on their site and continued to charge my card even after I sent a message via their form to cancel. Save yourself the aggravation!!

My experience in just less than a month has been extremely poor. It seems Silver Singles has no vetting of the women who sign on. I signed on for 3 months and had to quit before 1 month, Every profile is rated basically the same and in the middle of their graph. Quite a few list their email address as their name. So many scammers! Though I paid for 3 months, they didn't offer a refund of 2 months which a reputable organization would do. Very disappointing site!

This entire website is nothing more than a scam. They let you see people for at least a couple of days. The whole entire time trying to get your credit card information to purchase more. They show the same people over and over again. I logged on months ago, only to return today. Two exactly the same faces from before. These people are not even listed on SilverSingles. They are using their faces to scam you into purchasing their Dating website. Once again, crooked humans trying to screw over a good people.

Their algorithms do not work based on your profile. I specifically stated only matches within 50 miles, it’s one of their choices on the site. I continually received matches from as far away as 3500 miles. I live in Canada and 30% of my matches were over 50 miles away in the US as well. Their answer to me "We're sorry to hear about your experience with our app. To find more singles in your area, we recommend reviewing and adjusting your search criteria if necessary. Should you require any further assistance, please contact our customer care team. Thank you!"

They lead you to believe you are going to pay 19.99 per month and then charge you for 6 months. Liars and thieves! Stay away. This is very dishonest and I strongly do not recommend. This is how they do business.

The vast majority of accounts with an attractive lady are phony accounts. Why aren't they being screened? The clues: (1) Their "name" is a g-mail or other account, trying to get you off the site; (2) the wording is obviously AI-generated with rich prose including colorful verbs (who, for example, uses the word "embarked?"); and (3) photos can be readily checked with a facial recognition system, like Pim Eyes. There ARE some high-quality women to meet, but be careful.

Beware even when you put that you don't want auto renewal - they charge you!!! I try go get into the account I set up and used for a week - no luck. The CC company can reverse, so I get to dispute. Then the nightmare begins and they tell you too bad so sad. I am so tired of companies just charging accounts - they are awful!!!

I signed up with SS for 6 month and have been using it for about 2 month now. So far I had two "candidates" contacted me. We exchange a few messages and phone numbers. Both "candidates" turned out to be scammers. I had an experience with scammers before. They all follow the same pattern., just like they have a script. According to SS contract agreement they do not do background check and do not verified if person, men or women, are actually real people. But they do tell you be careful of scammers. So, like every other online dating services, SS just to make money of "members". You're on your own and responsible for your own safety. I've been using other online dating services and they all the same. None of them provide and guarantees real service. It's all money making machines.

I question whether there is any monitoring for imposters or “fake” people happening on this site. Buyer beware! Be prepared to heavily vet anyone responding to your profile. I have had numerous men contact me and so far there was only one that was a real person or who after speaking to them matched up with their profile. Insist on talking live. They mostly want to send endless messages where they parrot back whatever you say and they can’t keep straight the lies they tell before they start in asking you for something. Very disappointing.

I wish I would have read these reviews before putting money into the scam. Between crypto scams and women who don't exist IRL, it isn't worth it. A lonely senior (fool) and his money were soon parted.

After hearing about SS on a podcast promoting it as one of the best methods to meet eligible senior singles in my area, I joined for the minimum of 3 months. Within a week I realized that the women reaching out to me used photos of older models. Many of the ones I exchanged messages with asked me to connect with them on WhatsApp. All of the women to whom I suggested meeting in person offered excuses why they couldn't or immediately disappeared from the site. Closing my account required several email exchanges with the app's staff.

(1) Although the app asks for your preference for distance, education, ethnicity, the profiles they send you don’t meet your requirements. (2) The app states that they will send you profiles daily however some days you don’t receive any, some days you’ll get 2. (3) Definitely a lot of fake profiles and profiles with no photos. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this dating site. I’ve emailed them however they haven’t responded.

I have experienced four men who were romance scammers. I had to look up the info myself by using and paying for reverse image searches. I can no longer trust any of the men I am "matched" with. This last man I chatted with said in his profile he was from my area in Virginia, but once chatting he said he was from Miami, Florida. Then when I paid to do a reverse image search...he's really from California and owns his own financial company **!!! His passport says a completely different name. Everything about him was a lie. Silversingles has lost my confidence. I think all dating sites should vet their members and stop making the members do ALL the work.

HUGE waste of time and money. I frequently matched with scammers, profiles with no photos, and men FAR outside my geographic location (out of state and across the country). Every time I tried to make tweaks to my profile, my updates were blocked due to offensive language when there was none. In one case, I thought I would get to meet guys who were realistic about their age and stage of life by joining an app that makes no bones about being silver and single, but the algorithms are a hot mess. Using the "matches" sent to you by the system requires you to either delete or send a smile (aka start a chat) with a match without being able to see his profile, only a photo.

I wish I had look at the reviews before I gave them my money that they refused to refund me. The women they sent me were not what I was looking for and the lowest distance was far away for dating and getting to know someone. Long distance relationships don't work for me and the smallest distance you could set was 50 miles. None of the women I have sent a message to, have not responded which makes me think that they are not real profiles. And I know that some dating sites do that, I just wish they would just refund me my money.

If I could rate a 0. I would. I had one date in this site with a loser troll that has been using dating apps to meet and ghost women. Really mentally ill person. Waste of my time meeting this person. My other matches were also horrific. This was my first app dating encounter. Deleted my account. Never again. These dating apps and the people on them are toxic.

Same thing others are saying. Receiving a lot of fake profiles, matches aren't within my parameters, getting "suggested" profiles who are beyond 50 miles. No responses to "smiles" and texts. Getting notified someone has reached out and I should "check it out". When I do, their profile has been deleted. Seriously - within a couple of hours of getting the email?? Their personality profiles are cookie-cutter and the majority don't apply. Almost everyone ends up with one of two profiles. Also getting a ton of spam email now. Very displeased.

After a 6 month stint on this site, I have had plenty of smiles- that lead nowhere and 7…Yes 7 alerts from the company of fraudulent profiles. That’s just the ones they know about. This is a poorly run/managed company that just wants your money. Do not sign up.

Definitely a scam within itself. They don't care that “CATFISHING” is the majority of the profiles. They refuse to refund your money, it is ridiculous. They do not match you to any of your preferences, so what is the point of filling out the supposed parameters.

Silver Singles is a rip-off. I never had anything in common with any of the matches they suggested. You can't search for people with similar values and interests. It was so bad that I stopped checking and forgot to cancel until an automatic renewal payment went through. I asked for a refund and they refused.

Don’t waste your money or your time! No Quality control or customer service! Controlled matches just a few daily. I change 1 word in my profile & it was rejected 3 times. Should have researched first.

99% are fake people/profiles living out of your state. And 1% are liars or losers who couldn't answer some basic questions such as where do you live, what do you do. Totally wasting my money and it is very expensive compared its quality. It is the worst dating site/app I have tried, trust me, I tried quite a few.

Terrible site. I keeping getting matches from hundreds of miles away. I get matches from ethnic groups that aren't in my specifications. I get "smiled" at or liked. When I message these I don't get replies. I get matches for women in their late 70's even though I have specified 45-65. I have also had four contacts try and scam me. Terrible Site!! Don't waste your money or your time. Run from this site.

Continued fraud. Not even close to other sites. Very disappointing site. Stuck for 6 months. I keep hoping for this to stop as I finish the remainder of my term but it doesn't. The company states that this sort of thing happens on dating sites. Sorry guys but not at the percentage your site has.

The site is a waste of money and a scam. The "possible" matches that are sent to your inbox are from hundreds to thousands of miles away from the user's location. Additionally, the majority of the profiles are fake, most women only have "1" photo and their profiles are written by AI. Don't waste your time and money!

I have been very disappointed with the quality of Silver Singles. The site asks for your preferences but then disregards them. I specified that I wanted to meet people with a certain radius, yet I continually received inquiries from hundreds, even thousands of miles away. I am in CA and had responses from Australia, Newfoundland, and Chile!

My preferences were limited to people 50 miles away from me, and at first many of the matches were 2 to 4 hours away from me, which is well over 50 miles. I could deal with that even if I wasn’t happy about it. Just recently I started getting Profile views almost exclusively from much farther away, including California, Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Colorado. You get the picture. I have no interest in getting involved in that type of long-distance relationship. I live in Pennsylvania. So number one I wanna know how these Subscribers are finding me on the site when they are so incredibly far away.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I enrolled in this service and within a day, I knew that it would not produce quality "matches". I contacted customer service for a refund because 6 months is too long to pay for when the quality is awful. I was told that I could not get a refund, but that they would leave it active for the 6 months since it was already paid for, but shut off the automatic renewal. They DID NOT shut it off. I was charged again, for another 6 months and again told that I could not get a refund.

I had only a few interactions. One person was 13 years older than advertised—he was the best one out of the group. One was clearly a scammer. Many looked like scammers in the standard ways. Two mentioned sex in their first (and only) messages. The rest were geographically completely inaccessible —100+ miles away. I have no idea why the app didn't work in the morning. The introductions required you to "smile" at someone or send a message; you couldn't just look at their profiles. It was a strange and awful experience. Truly.

They are ripping you off. I have video proof that they duplicate accounts of perspective matches. Two different accounts with the same biographical information. When you contact them, they send you acknowledgment of your contact.

I was enjoying initial contacts with good conversations when I could no longer access my account- I was blocked for “fake” behavior with all my contacts warned. I am so legit - there was no wrong behaviors - I wasn’t notified, I just became a “no show” to contacts and my good name slurred. Trying to correct it with customer service is difficult. I had to figure out how to contact them & sent additional verifying information. They are located in Germany and waiting for replies now to the correction is minimum 2 days. I paid for 6 months of service and they unilaterally did this with less than one month of use. First time I used a dating App on over 7 years & this is an awful experience

First time using site. Within 5 days was approached by 2 men with site notifying me they were being investigated with their profiles removed. Received smiles from many men out of state and locally but no messages. They must have been trolling not really interested in establishing a relationship. Complete waste of time. Reached out to customer service and requested and granted refund. Beware and don't bother. Also was approached by men wanted to move off website using another app, asked for personal email and wanted personal mobile number. No thanks!

Yes I woke up; this morning and all my pictures were removed and they were viewed and verify by them and then I came home later on and I can't log into my profile at all, it's like they closed it and there was no reason or explanation. I paid till September when it expires and got rip off due to the fact I did not get to finish my subscription, that is not right to be treated like this at all. I want a refund for being treated poorly with no reason.

I fell for the discounted subscription thing. Okay, I tried it. I have been there a month and absolutely nothing. Then magically, I get a response from a like. It is strange because my profile title indicates some fabricated cartoon name that I created and the person that is messaging me hasn't even bothered to ask for me real name ... To me, that's a RED FLAG to me. I will be changing my credit card number as I am hearing horror stories about SS making attempts to charge your card again when your subscription ends.

I just joined and paid $200.00 plus for a lousy 3 months. I am ready to get my money back. Why? Because once you delete all the matches they send you (I think I was sent 15 matches NONE local or in my desired location. I live in S.A. and most matches were from Alberta) I did not receive anymore and we are unable to search on our own!!!! That is a scam. For the amount I paid I have every right to see who is on here and communicate if I choose to. I am cancelling my subscription and getting my money back. Scam!!!!

Silver Singles. Fraudulent billing. This is an absolute outrage. I subscribed once for your services, never set up a profile, and never used your services. I have identified four unauthorized charges: one on April 11 for $159.29, one in October for $161.91, one in April for $159.29, and one in January for $161.91. First, what subscriptions do you offer for these amounts? Secondly, how could I be billed $642.40 for a dating subscription website that I never set up a profile for or used? I contacted and emailed SilverSingles notifying them of these fraudulent charges. Despite my clear communications, SilverSingles informed me you cannot reverse any charges since I used my Apple Credit Card for the purchase. You directed me to contact Apple, but Apple informed me that as long as the charges were approved by me, they will not reverse them. I only submitted payment.

ALL SCAMMERS! Total garbage site. Does anybody vet these profiles? I gave the site the benefit of the doubt and Tried it 3 times. Each time scammers. I reported them to the BBB. I don't like my emotions played with.

Mostly, I've experienced scammers on this site. I'm getting really good at identifying them by being on here! Sometimes I get a notification that someone has messaged me, but there's no message. Most profiles had one photo or no photos, and most suggestions were not even close to what I was looking for. The matching technology is pretty much worthless. I wouldn't waste my money again!

They deliberately make it very difficult to cancel. You can’t even contact them, when you send them an email it bounces back. They keep charging you without your authorization. I’ve already met my fiancée on the other site MyUkrLady (which is a 100% legit site that I can surely recommend), but I’m still struggling to cancel my SilverSingles subscription. They tried to charge me even after I closed my bank card. According to the other reviews, everyone who joins SilverSingles almost invariably regrets it and has problems cancelling. The reason why you would want to cancel is a total absence of genuine profiles.
