Events & Adventures is a great way to interact with others. I found out about it through a co-worker. He was visiting Houston for work from Atlanta and we had invited him to hang out with us. He said he has other plans as there’s a local event here that he’s attending. He shared it with me and at the time, I was single and not having fun on dating apps but I didn’t want to just sit at home. It seemed like a really good avenue for me to get out and if not meet people, just do fun things.
I’ve joined around three events so far. The very first time was bowling. I had a blast because I like bowling. It was great and that’s the reason I went because I knew if I didn’t deal with the people, I wouldn’t care because the activity would be fun for me. It went great and two ladies exchanged phone numbers with me. We’ve texted and communicated so that was fun.
I also went to salsa dancing and it was my favorite. I have always wanted to do that. It was amazing. I met wonderful people. This was a whole new group of people from my first experience. I felt that I could do it where it was judgment-free and nobody knew me. They shared that Tuesday volleyball is a thing to do. You’ll see the same people there because it’s so much fun. There was an event that I wanted to do but I had a conflict because my son plays football so Friday nights is hard.
A lot of the events that I really wanted to do were falling on nights that I have a family obligation. There was also an event that I wanted to do but got canceled due to lack of participation. I’m not a big drinker and a lot of the things tend to be around breweries. I’m not opposed to going because there’s still food there, and you can meet people, and they have non-alcoholic options. I just have to find something that fits in my schedule.
Later I’ll probably do trips. Right now, I have a senior in high school. It’s cool that you can do these trips and it’s something I’m looking forward to because I have two years within my purview so I have time.
I’ve had a wonderful time doing new things with people who are like-minded, interested in doing those activities. It’s not like you go there and there’s a negative Nancy. The people who are there want to be there so it’s a positive experience because of the expectation that we’re going to have a good time. That’s exactly what has happened on the engagements that I’ve participated in. I have already shared about Events & Adventures with some people.

Events and Adventures has reported a delinquent account to my credit file that is not valid, and I have exhausted all reasonable efforts to resolve it directly. I signed a contract after being pressured and misled into believing services (local events) would be available to me. I never received the services promised. I attempted to cancel my membership according to their instructions, which required sending a cancellation letter via certified mail with return receipt to a PO Box. This is a deceptive tactic, as you cannot obtain a return receipt for a PO Box without someone physically present to sign for it. Despite doing everything correctly, my account was not canceled, and I never received a response. Now the company has reported an unjust and inaccurate debt to the credit bureaus. This situation is damaging my credit and was caused by deceptive business practices and an intentionally obstructive cancellation process.

I go out and hang out with people thru Events & Adventures. I've done at least 50 events and I like watching games with fellow fans. I've also met lots of people that I would consider my friends. Events & Adventures is a great place to meet new people and to just go out where you don't have to do any of the planning. You just sign up then you've got something set up for your weekend or whatever time that you have available. It's a lot easier to get out of the house and enjoy life.
The new calendars come out on the 15th of every month and I just go there and look at it. You have the same calendar that has all the events, and you have a separate spot that shows you the events you're signed up for. If Events & Adventures would arrange that by date, that would be really helpful. Right now, I don't even know how it's sorted, but you have to dig. I've missed several events because I thought it was on a different day. I always thought the soonest one would be at the top, but it's not organized like that. But I don't really plan too far ahead because I never know when I'm working so usually I'm pretty short-notice to sign up.

A couple of people mentioned Events & Adventures to me. I signed up and it's pretty new still but overall, the experience has been good so far. Some of the activities were really great. I've met some people though it's not like somebody that I started talking to outside of the events.

I have been signed up with Events & Adventures for over a year. I am in the South Florida chapter. I've been on a handful of events and I have been a little disappointed. There are very few men of the caliber that I was expecting, and it doesn't look like the men are looking for someone my age to spend time or connect with. I'm a very friendly person and they haven't really wanted to engage or talk. I have made a friend who's a girl and we hang out, but it has not been the connection I was looking for. Another thing is I'm a single mom, so I have only certain days that I can join things. The majority of the events are, at the very minimum, an hour's drive for me. A lot of things are happening in Fort Lauderdale or in areas where it takes me an hour to get there then an hour back. That limits any ability to use an Uber if I'm drinking and just to relax.
The events people are very friendly and nice and I can tell that they care about their roles. My interactions with the host or hostess have been usually fine and helpful, because they've gone out of their way to make sure that people can find their way and connect. They're there during the event. However, I've also had some personal issues where I didn't even ask to pause my subscription, where I had a couple of deaths in the family that I had to take care of and my mom was dying. It was months of back and forth with the hospital. I wasn't even thinking to pause but other than that, nobody has reached out to me to even say, "Hey, what's going on? You haven't been signing up. So, is there something going on?" I signed up for over two years. So, I made an investment.
I've had a quite long subscription and I've had some pleasant experiences. But it has not been the experience that I thought it would be, so I haven't signed up for much since I haven't looked on calendars to even to go. If I think of it and Events & Adventures has something, I'll join it. The last thing I went on was two months ago, where I went to an escape room. Again, I had to drive an hour and fight traffic during rush hour, which was stressful.
Events & Adventures needs to do some work on their business model and how they structure, at least, in the South Florida chapter. Not everybody wants to go to a rooftop and drink alcohol, constantly have a party. Some of us can't do that because we have an hour's drive. Also, one of the things that I have wanted to take advantage of is going on one of the group trips, but if I'm not gonna necessarily enjoy the people that I'm around, then I don't know that I wanna spend 10 days on a trip with them out of the country. I had hoped to make some better connections.
Events & Adventures really needs to think about the membership audience that they have, because they have a quite wide range of people who are in their 20s, 30s, 40s, through 60s and 70s, and not everybody does the same thing. While I would want to do some zip line experiences, I don't think being at almost 60 I'm gonna do zip line experiences. I personally don't wanna have to fix this for them. They have enough smart people that they can figure it out for themselves. Would I renew? Absolutely not. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as well.

0 (ZERO) stars!!!! Their contract is anti-member contract! Read it carefully before you sign it. And if you changed your mind and no longer want to be a member, since you signed it and paid the money you will no longer able to get your money back. Also, every single interesting event is not free. You have to pay pretty much for everything from your pocket!!

It was a cool concept to be able to meet people and have a lot of different location and times for activities. I had the meeting with the interview, and the service that the guy provided was good. Events & Adventures is pricey though, and you still have to spend money throughout the time you're participating. I've been to more than 5 events. I've had good conversations and connected with people.

Recently, my situation changed so I decided to get back into it. The first Events & Adventures’ event I went to was a dinner out at the venue with someone’s house. I didn’t know what to expect because it was my first time. But once I got there, people were very friendly and everybody was curious about everyone. I felt more at ease. We mingled the first part of it and got to know everybody and then they paired us up. Then, we made our own suppers for the evening and then we sat down together and had supper again. It was a good night.
I’ve been to three events already. I also went to a bingo and my favorite was the boat cruise on 4th of July to watch the fireworks. It was just an old-timey paddle boat that went around the Lake Union as we watched the fireworks and it was fun. I met a lot of people. There were no cocktails though. It was BYOB. But they did have food. That was a little more to be desired, but everything else was fine. I was signed up for a fourth one, but I ended up working 16 hours that day and I was too tired and didn’t end up going.
Events & Adventures is a good program. But the thing is I’m older and there’s not as many older people doing it and that’s where it falls down a little bit. It’s usually for more younger people between early 20s to 40 and I’m almost 60, so there’s just a little bit of an age disparity there. But that didn’t stop me. There are still a few individuals that are older. So I plan to still continue to attend the events and doing things. For me, it’s getting out. I don’t look my age and I like to be active, go out and do stuff.

I’ve tried to participate in some activities in Events and Adventures. Like a cruise and hiking. I liked it, even though the weather was bad that day but I enjoyed it. One issue I’ve had is parking at some events.
I will still encourage others because it’s fun to have friends and places. They have a good schedule and activities.

I participated in an icebreaker event by Events and Adventures. But I wasn’t there long because traffic took a while to get there. When I arrived, they were playing some game that I didn’t know. I tried to play a little bit, and then they just were moving on to the bar after. I didn’t stay for the bar portion because I had my daughter with me. The other events that they have look fun and amazing. I definitely recommend checking out Events and Adventure.

What interested me most about Events & Adventures was the traveling. I went on one trip last year, and I’m going on a trip to Japan this year. I had such a good experience on that last trip.
We travelled outside the country. It was expensive but very well organized. That’s why I went. I was happy about it. I met some new friends on that trip who were from different states. It’s expensive ‘cause you pay monthly, plus you pay for the event. A lot of times, I don’t attend some events because everything’s so expensive.
The club is good with communication. I will send an email, and they respond back right away. Also, I always know when an event or trip is coming up because I have their app.
Because of my work schedule, I could’t go to most of the local events. There are some good events and some not so good, but I get to choose. I met some good people from the club, and that was really cool. Overall, I would recommend Events & Adventures.

I wanted to meet more people and get more social, so I joined Events & Adventures after I heard about it on the radio. I’ve attended 10 to 15 events so far, like kickball, line dancing, and fondue party. The first one was a St. Patrick’s Day event at a bar. My favorite out of all the events I’ve attended was paddleboarding because I like being in the water. We went to a local reservoir that had paddleboard lessons, and we learned how to do it for two hours. Afterwards we went to go get lunch, and I interacted with the members a lot more then. There’s not many events because there's not a lot of people in the group. I also don't go to a lot of events because I can only go on weekends as I live 30 minutes outside of the city.
The only bad thing about the club is I don't like how much it is to join. It’s $2,500 a year. I signed up for two years, but it was $500 for the second year. I don’t know if that was a deal or not.

I like to do fun things. So, it was exciting to see all the fun things that Events & Adventures does. I saw them first on Facebook. There have been a couple of events that we went to where we paid more than the tickets they were selling at the door. So, that was a little irritating. Most of the things are pretty okay. I like the diversity of people. It's good to go out and be able to do stuff with five to six people. The photo board in Everett and the event in Burlington are my two favorites.
I don't know if I will renew it, though. I don't know if I will pay more money to stay in the club. I'm 45 minutes from Boston. There are a lot of things that I choose not to do just because they are not so close. I do things last minute. I might go to the mystery dinner on Friday and the bar on Saturday. It’s hard for me to commit.

I had a really good experience attending events with Events & Adventures. My favorite is trying new restaurants since I don't get out a lot. The restaurants I’ve tried are really nice. I also like meeting new people of different ages. The last event I attended had a max of 12 people, but only about six showed up. That was a bummer, because the people who show up have less people to hang out with.
I’ve noticed recently there are not many events on Saturday nights and some weekday events start so early. I get that it’s not really their choice when the event starts. But I have noticed that some of them start close to when people get off from work. I’ve heard that from other people in the group too, where they’re saying they wish they could’ve come but they live 30 minutes away from the event and would've been late. Other than that, it’s been a really great opportunity. I’ve been a member of the club for two years, so I’m just beginning my journey with them.

I wanted to make friends, go on adventures, and hopefully, find love. I decided to join Events & Adventures about three months ago and so far, attending the events has been alright. However, I've noticed that the attractive women are not as common, as they probably don't need to pay to meet people. More guys tend to show up than girls, which is not ideal. One suggestion I have is to have more beautiful women as hosts for the events, which might attract more male attendees. At least, there's one beautiful woman they can see.
The last event I attended was a bowling night two nights ago, and it included some fun interactions. The girls even invited me to join them at a bar afterward. The hosts are really nice and I appreciate the presence of interesting people like Lucy and Deshaan, who are always friendly. There are plenty of 'cougars,' and considering my past relationship with one, I find this somewhat appealing. The events are enjoyable, but parking can be a hassle sometimes. Overall, I'd rate my experience highly.

Over the past two years as a member of Events & Adventures, I've enjoyed attending various events with them. One event I particularly liked was a barge party, which took us to new places I hadn't explored before. The interactions with other members have been generally pleasant, as they're just regular folks like me looking to meet new people. While I haven't participated in any travels or vacations through the group, I appreciate having a place to connect with others. Overall, I'd rate my experience a solid 4 out of 5.

Events & Adventures came across my Facebook feed as a sponsored post. My first experience was an interview with a sales rep, followed by my first event at a tiki bar, which was delightful. I've attended roughly six events now with no negative experiences. Everyone has been very welcoming, and I can pick the events I like. Meeting a pre-established group alone can be daunting, but the members were very welcoming.
I've participated in events like hikes, happy hours, and game nights, all enjoyable. I appreciate the opportunity to engage with others, though I haven't ventured on any U.S. or international trips yet—I primarily participate in local events. However, I'm considering a future trip to a hot air balloon festival, pending my schedule. My only request is additional close-range events for those in Palm Beach County since many current events are further in Broward. I understand there's a host limitation, but having events at West Palm, Boynton, Delray, or Boca could be beneficial. I've recommended this to others. Despite the cost, it's ideal for new experiences without much planning. As a busy single mom, this platform suits me as it offers planned, enjoyable events where I meet people and go out safely.

I was looking for a way to connect more socially and potentially find my path in the dating world. The idea of the different events Events & Adventures organizes interested me, and, after checking whether it would fit into my financial budget, I began to engage more with them, especially after a tough breakup that took a toll on my mental state and social life.
I eventually decided to join, leveraging a generous discount they offered due to my veteran status. They assured me of consistent pricing, an added free 6-month window, and stability over my membership costs, which was appealing. However, I haven't yet fully tried participating in their events due to many mixed reviews and warnings from friends who've tried similar social clubs, and my own lingering hesitations.
Conversations online with individuals who have similar experiences cautioned me on what I might encounter at these events. Reports mentioned a lack of diversity and attractiveness among attendees, and some expressed familiarity with awkward situations where more attractive participants were persistently pursued, discouraging them from coming back. Despite these warnings, I still fashioned some hope that my experience might differ.
While I didn’t go deep into attending the events, Events & Adventures have thus far been communicative and respectful. I can’t entirely dismiss them without firsthand experience, so judging them purely on service aspects, I’d probably rate them about a 4. Given their positive approach towards accommodating veterans and generally maintained professionalism, it seems fair while I wait to see their true value through direct engagement.

I liked the idea of having a platform where I could meet new people in interesting venues, rather than just using typical dating apps, which I wasn't a fan of. Although I had heard about Events & Adventures for some 5 or 6 years, it wasn't until now that I felt ready to fully dive in.
My first experience with Events & Adventures was at a Super Bowl event. Honestly, it felt awkward because I didn’t know anyone and everyone seemed engrossed in their own groups and the game. For a moment, I questioned whether this club was for me. Things changed when I attended my second event—a fun icebreaker session that's held regularly. It quickly became my favorite as it was filled with opportunities to meet and connect with new people.
Up until now, I haven’t attended too many events or any trips, mainly because I travel out of town frequently and the weekdays can be tricky for me. Nevertheless, I'm planning to participate in midweek events since they offer so many enticing things to experience.
The social gatherings are more than just dating opportunities—they're wonderful occasions to mingle. I've met some genuinely nice people here. I've also been inviting friends. I recommend Events & Adventures.

When I signed up with Events & Adventures, I was led to believe that there'd be a lot of like-minded people who enjoy similar values as I do, like being active, learning and growing, and people who are younger or in their twenties. But I did not find that at all. It was a lot of people who did not share the same values at all, and a lot of people were older. There were very, very few people who were my age. I felt really misled. A lot of the people who were part of the program shouldn't have been accepted. There was a whole interview process to make sure it's a like-minded community.
More information about the demographics before you sign up would be really great, like how many people are in their twenties. That would be really helpful. If it's only 10 people, I'm not gonna pay two grand for 10 people, and I'm not interested in making friends with a 50-year-old man. I'm not gonna date him and I don't wanna be friends with him.
Additionally, the two-year commitment feels restrictive, especially when the group doesn't meet my expectations. Allowing a month-to-month option would be more appealing and confident if they believe in the product. If Events & Adventures could address these issues, I believe it could enhance participants' satisfaction.
The idea behind the program is promising, but the execution needs improvement to match the marketing claims. If granted, releasing participants from their contracts can alleviate feelings of manipulation from being locked into an incompatible commitment. Despite these concerns, the individuals involved were nice, just not those I connected with personally.

Events & Adventures' activities are a bit of a mixed bag; some are great, while others are not so much, depending on the location and parking. I tend to choose events that I know I'll like, which makes it easier to enjoy. There's room for improvement — I'd love to see more artistic activities like painting events, especially given the rich variety available in Houston. As far as making new friends and connections, that's been a positive outcome of joining as a subscriber.
However, I find some of the events to be overpriced, which is a downside. Considering that I'm already paying a monthly membership fee, the additional costs for things like events can add up quickly. This aspect is quite a drawback since it makes it hard to stay within a budget. Overall, I'd rate my experience around 3 stars because while I enjoy participating, pricing adjustments would greatly enhance the experience. If you're considering it, just be mindful of those extra costs on top of the membership fee.

I heard the radio ads for Events & Adventures and it was suggested by my therapist as a way to reconnect socially after my divorce. So, I signed up with them and my first event was a flower show back in February, which was quite enjoyable. While the event was initially full, I was able to join through a simple contact with the host. Everyone was welcoming, and I appreciated the opportunity to meet diverse age groups.
Although it's only been a few months, I've attended around ten events. Most of these have been no-cost gatherings, like pickleball and various open-air and indoor concerts. I even went to the new member event in March and joined a bowling night. One of the highlights for me was the Paddy Wagon event in March. It was a paid bar-hopping experience where I met several new people at each stop, which was fantastic for socializing. While I haven't been on any trips yet, I'm enjoying the different experiences the club offers. Though sometimes there might be minor disorganization, the social aspect keeps it fun. If I were to rate Events & Adventures, I’d give it a solid 3.5 to 4 out of 5 because I still feel connected through their events.

I knew about Events & Adventures through a buddy of mine. Navigating the online system made signing up a breeze, which was pretty straightforward and organized from the get-go. However, a potential hiccup lies in their refund policy for event charges. Once you register for an event with a small fee, like $5 or $10, if you don't end up attending, that charge isn't credited back. Even though it's minor, it's more about the principle, as I'd appreciate seeing that amount credited.
While I haven't attended any events yet, my insight into the costs of being in such a setup gives the vibe of an upscale fee. The hefty $1,500 price, though significant, seemingly serves as a bit of quality check, inadvertently filtering individuals you might not want to engage with, which in some ways adds a comforting layer of exclusivity. I’d recommend E&A.

I noticed Events & Adventures through social media ads while I was transitioning to Washington. Having moved frequently and not knowing many people in the area, I was looking for a way to explore the local scene and meet new people. Events & Adventures seemed like the perfect opportunity to do just that.
My first event was a bingo night at a country bar. It was different from what I usually do, but it was a fun and interesting experience. As I attended more events, I found that those with larger groups were more enjoyable and provided more chances to meet people. While there have been many great events, the ones held in Seattle have generally been more exciting than those in Tacoma, which I wish would grow in size over time.
In particular, I have enjoyed events at Mexican restaurants and a memorable visit to a great pizza spot with the group. I'm not quite sure of the specific upcoming events I'll be attending, but there's always something on the calendar.
If I were to recommend Events & Adventures to friends or family, I would describe it as a fantastic way to explore a new area for those who have recently moved and don't yet have a circle of friends. It's a chance to see different venues and activities that you wouldn't usually have access to. It’s been a great experience for me, helping me to open up more and expand my horizons.
The social aspect has been particularly impactful for me. At first, it's easy to be quiet and reserved, but the welcoming atmosphere encourages interaction. It has been great to open up, meet new people, and become more comfortable with social situations. Overall, Events & Adventures provides a platform for exploring new experiences and developing socially in a friendly environment.

I was fed up with dating apps filled with fake profiles, and I wanted to meet real people in a natural setting. My initial experience with Events & Adventures was at an Astros watch game where everything was well-organized. They set up a private room with food and drinks, allowing us to mingle while catching the game. I made a few new friends that day, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
So far, I've attended around six different events with the club, such as Popstroke, Steak and Trivia Night, volleyball, pickleball, social nights, and the new member orientation. Among these, the Trivia Night was a blast as we participated in a lively environment with both club members and other participants, forming teams to tackle trivia questions together.
Events & Adventures is an excellent social club, especially suitable for singles in a bustling city like Houston, Texas. It's perfect for people who have relocated for work and find it difficult to make time for social activities. I've met several others in similar situations who have also enjoyed their experiences.
Upcoming, I look forward to unique gatherings like 'Drunken Shakespeare,' which promises to be quite entertaining with inebriated actors performing. Additionally, there's an outdoor movie night atop a downtown building and a dinner cruise on the intercoastal waterway between Galveston Island and the mainland, both of which sound like great fun.
Overall, if you're looking for an exciting way to engage socially and meet new people, Events & Adventures is an entertaining choice worth exploring.

I first heard Events & Adventures through my mother. My aunt had done something with them, and she enjoyed it. I was in a low moment after a bad breakup with a girl, so my mother brought it up as a way to help me get out there and do things, kind of get my confidence back.
The first event was funny because I was supposed to be in a sword fighting class, but due to weather it was postponed for almost a month. Instead, the first one was a margarita Monday get together, and it was nice although they were a little busy with big events. I work in the food industry, so I understand how it goes, making me a little more lenient.
I felt a little nervous, and like it’s going to be a little out of place because there aren’t many people close to my age. I’m 24. I knew there weren’t many in their early to mid-20s, but it’s like, “Hey, who cares? I need to get out there, have fun, and do stuff.” It took a couple of events to stop feeling that strongly. I still feel a bit like that because everyone seems older and balder, but I don’t care about that much. I’m just there to have fun.
One of my favorite ones was sword fighting. I always like magical fantasy things, like dragons, so learning swordplay was fun and interesting. I have a collection of a bunch of knives that ended up turning into having a few swords, so learning about how to properly wield them was a lot of fun. I remember hearing the sword fighting was the first time that it had been done with Events & Adventures.
Another one was WhirlyBall. It was a lot more fun. My hand was cramping because we only had 11 people show up to the event, so I ended up playing every single round that was there. It was fun learning and figuring it out on my own, getting a little bit of advice from someone who’s been there.
Another one was like a little get-together at another bar. That one was a lot more fun because it wasn’t my first one. I felt more open and free. In fact, one of the guys there had lived in Japan, and my sister also went to Japan, so hearing some of the stuff they’ve done that was the same was fun and interesting.
After a round or two, it was like we all just started chatting, making joking comments, and I even ran into a couple of them throughout my different events.
I have done two or three events a month. I’ve been a part of Events & Adventures for about three months now. It allows me to get out there and do a lot more stuff, do more interesting things, and not just be stuck in the same routine constantly. It allows me to broaden my horizons and have fun. It’s always been positive and always been good.

I’ve attended around 10 activities by Events & Adventures. I mostly join dinners or karaoke or something that doesn't take more than a few hours. I've always wanted to sing karaoke but I never tried it. I had plenty of opportunities. I was just always too shy. But because of the group and Keith, one of the leaders, I showed up.
He was in charge of our group. I asked him if he wouldn't mind singing with me the first time because it was just a big jump. He was willing to go up and sing with me, because it was my first time. And since then, I've had courage to sing by myself. That’s one of my highlights.
People are very friendly. But I can't say that I connected with a particular person. I don't really talk to anybody outside of those get-togethers, which is too bad. I know it's hard for people to reach out, or they feel that maybe we don't want to reach out. It's really hard these days to know when to reach out and how to reach out in a way that people don't feel like they're bothering anybody.
We have this group app and nobody messages me. If anything, I try to reach out to somebody. And then they wanted to become Facebook friends. I’d agree even though that's not my thing. And then they just ghosted me. I feel like the guys are afraid to reach out. I think they're waiting for me to signal somehow to reach out. How am I supposed to signal exactly? I'm still a mom. I have a 17-year-old. So there are many times when I just can't meet up. So I'm only participating in one or two events.
Sometimes, there are people I haven't met before. I drove out to Boston a few times and tried to see more of the random crowd. But these gatherings are not very big. You have maybe eight people. And then the trouble is that sometimes you're sitting around the table, but you actually can only speak to two or three people who are next to you. Because you can't possibly be shouting across the table to talk to people at the end, especially when you don't really know them that well. It's really a tricky thing to solve.
I even went dancing one time. There was a salsa dance in Cambridge. I danced with a lot of people. Whoever wants to ask me to dance, I'll dance with them. But it never really went beyond that.
I don't see great results. Getting along and meeting people is a very tricky thing. Everybody's doing a really good job. And from what I hear, other people don't really see that many results. All you get is what you put into it. If you show up with a smile, you can probably leave with a smile. I don't know if I would really recommend it to a lot of people. Because it is expensive, and it really depends on where people are.
What they should do is just invite the people themselves to organize an event. If somebody really wanted to ask me out they would probably come to the event that I organized.
If you open it up to people to organize an event, then you would make sure that it fits into their schedule. They do Karaoke regularly on a Thursday. And that way, people can kind of build their lives around it, if this is what they really like to do.
There was an instance when we suggested horseback riding, but the time was not convenient for me. I would have loved to go horseback, but I couldn't go that day. I would go horseback riding regularly, even once a month. But that might not work for the other people's schedules. I don't know what would work, because it is such a complicated puzzle to solve.

Events & Adventures have calendars of events, but a lot of them are just a little bit on the other side of the cities. For example, today is the 25th, and the event in their calendar is in Waconia, which is way on the other side. I don't know if that's gonna happen with the rain in that area today. Maybe if they had a couple of different events, and they spread it out to opposite sides of the cities, that would be nicer and more helpful. It would also be more apt to go somewhere instead of having to drive through rush hour all the way across the cities. Rush hour traffic makes it tough to get to those events. The most recent event I went to with Events and Adventures was a group gathering in a restaurant. There's five of us and the host, and there was not a lot of activity. The event I enjoyed the most was the adult prom. The members are friendly, but I haven't made any connections.

I saw Events & Adventures on Facebook a while ago. What interested me most was all the planned activities, there’s always something to do each time. I’ve attended a few events, I did WhirlyBall and the member meeting at first, but before that, I went rafting and kayaking.
I haven’t been able to attend much lately because we're getting into construction season, so it’ll be a while before I get back up there. There’s too much going on, and the 80- to 100-mile drive to the city makes it even harder.

The events are nice. It's a great outlet after being recently divorced. Events & Adventures got me out of the house and I got to meet new people. I really enjoy signing up for international trips, which have just been phenomenal. It’s lots of fun with a lot of great people from all over the country. I have nothing but positive experiences.
I haven't been going to as many local events 'cause I've been traveling so much with the international stuff. I finally got back from Scotland just a couple of weeks ago and I've been busy doing other things. I did like the backyard barbecue, and I've been to a couple brewery type things and a whiskey tasting. That was a lot of fun. I’ve also started seeing someone, so that's taking up my free time. Overall, it's been a positive experience and I got a lot out of it.

I signed up with Events & Adventures because I was looking for something fun to do, meet some new people who were in the same spot as I am, and have had a really good time. And I love the experience.
Well, everyone gets a little nervous, but absolutely because there's hosts that are really great at including everybody. I forgot to tell you that I also met my boyfriend through it. I met a ton of friends, and I'm actually at another person's wedding, who met her fiancé through it as well.
The trips are awesome. You end up doing something that you wouldn't expect to do, that's off the beaten path. Because they have a person who's with E&A, and then they have a local guide. You just get so much out of it.
The local things are great because I like all the people. We're so close. I went to Morocco and Scotland, and I couldn't redo that because we sat with nomads in the Sahara Desert. And in Scotland, I got to just really see all of it and learn history and Highland games. It's just so cool.
I think the pricing is fair. There should be an initial cost to get in because you're hanging out and traveling to foreign countries with them, and there's a little background check. So, I always feel safe. People should pay to get into it just because they need some skin in the game.

It was around nine years ago when I heard about Events and Adventures on the radio. The first activity I joined did not have enough sign-ups, so it got cancelled. The next one I went to seemed like everything was fine. People were really friendly and made friends. And it helped me out because I had just gotten divorced. I learned about where I could go, different things I could do, and the stuff that they were doing was pretty amazing.
They used to do formal dance events about three times a year. And then their New Year's Eve parties were always awesome. Halloween parties are really good, too. They seem to have something almost every night that you can go to if you sign up. And then most of them are meeting and you have a dinner or drink somewhere or just social stuff. They have bowling and bocce ball, and then they do a lot of different things, things that I wasn't even aware that you could do, like we did the glass blowing one time. There’s also wine and paint, where you go and make these paintings while you sip wine. A lot of fun things.
I'm really happy with them. It's been one of the best things since my divorce. It made everything a lot better. I met a lot of good people. There was only one time that I wound up dating one girl from there, but it was more about making friends and getting out there and seeing what you can do when you're single. I was married for almost 32 years and I didn't even know how to go out at that time. So, they helped out a lot. I’m happy with them and I would definitely recommend them.

But I think it's not the best way to get to know a guy and have a relationship. Because there are not too many men. And then, sometimes I think the leader doesn't know that much about the place or about the event.
For example, I was snorkeling two months ago. And the guy didn't know the place very well, so he didn't know how to rent the things we needed for swimming. And it wasn't the best place to go snorkeling.
Actually, we changed the place to a different place because that was very deep if you wanted to watch something. And also, they don't have the safeguards or people who can swim and maybe rescue you in case something happens.

I did very limited activities with them. My first event was a beach walk. It was a very basic event and there was a meeting location. I looked forward to that. I also went to a live jazz bar back in January.
It was clear from the onset, through my initial membership signing with them, that Events & Adventure is not a dating community. It's for a common shared interest community where you get to explore and go to different events, and I did meet some friends. I am currently back and forth with them right now. I was looking for social groups online and I happened to see the Events & Adventures as one of the options for doing that. So I gave them a call and talked to them. It seemed like a great idea. But unfortunately, my schedule is not conducive to the type of timeframes that a lot of social events that they do happen. I thought I had more time outside of work and school go hang out and do stuff but I don’t.
The first trip I had was good. I went on a hike and I got to meet people. But I had to preplan so far in advance to make that one event happen that it threw the rest of my schedule out of whack for a couple of days.
I’m up in Hagerstown and a lot of events happen in Washington, DC. It’s an hour and 15 at best driving one way to get to an event if it’s happening in or around DC. That’s the best case scenario. A lot of the time, these events happen 6:00 to sometime in the evening. When I’m driving down to DC, it might be two hours before I make it.
I’ve been to around six events. My favorite was one of the spa trips in Northern Virginia. Even though it was a little far and it was a little expensive, it was worth it to go somewhere to have a treating myself kind of day.
I also went to a couple of spa trips and they were was nice. There was also a group that goes out to chain restaurants just to hang out and eat. All the events I’ve been to have been great and the people are great. But it’s just having the time to do it. I’m coming to the conclusion that it’s not for me because I don’t currently have the time. Because it’s something you pay for, you’re going to make sure that you make the time for the paid services. If you’re paying a big chunk of money for a service to go hang out with people, and then you almost never use it, it’s not worth it to have the service.

I’ve seen Events & Adventures through one of the feeds on my phone, and reached out for more information. I had a conversation with a salesperson, and it sounds interesting enough that I wanted to pursue it and learn more. What attracted me most was the convenience of having activities planned for me.
The first trip that I’ve participated in was bowling, but there was a brief new-hire event 15–30 minutes before. The planners went through the process and answered questions. Then a group of 20–30 people went bowling, followed by drinks and food afterward. Before arriving I felt nervous and as time went by, I felt more relaxed and comfortable.
I’ve only been to one other event, which was a brunch. It was somewhat similar but a bit more comfortable than the first one. The same planner explained that event, which was really helpful. I’m signed up for two more over the next two weekends.
My favorite part so far has been socializing after the events and there’s a pickleball event coming up, and another one at an axe-throwing venue. They’ll do mini golf and other activities depending on interest.

However, the whole experience with the club has not been that good. I’m not really satisfied. It’s expensive, and whenever they get us non-expensive tickets, like $5, it’s already for free. Also, they describe some events in such a different way. The way that they talk about the event and the way you go and do it are totally different. To be honest, I didn’t really like the people inside or the people who were joining.

90% of the events are all in East Mesa. I live in West Side. Most of the good activities are during the week at 5:30, and it takes me two hours to get out there because of traffic. I went to two of events because they were on a Saturday. But even then, it's hard to get over this sometimes. I talked to a few people and they said the same thing. They only go once a month because everything's on the east side. All the fun ones are during the week at six o'clock and they don't get off work till 4:30. By the time they get home, shower, and get down there, it's already halfway over with, so it's pointless.
I talked to the lady that signed me up and she was supposed to call the back office to see about canceling it due to the fact that when my wife passed away and now I’m given three months to move out. I lost my job too. I started a new job that pays less, so now I'm not gonna have the money to pay that. My rent's gonna go way up more and everything else is almost $4 more than what I'm paying here. Plus if they had told me that 90% of the stuff is on the east side, I probably would have never signed up because I know I would never make 90% of them.

At first, joining Events & Adventures sounded like a cool idea. When I talked to the lady, she was high pressure. I told her I was traveling for the next two months and wasn't gonna be able to use the membership, but they went ahead and didn’t pause my membership. I was supposed to reach out to them, and that was overwhelming to try to figure out since I was a new member.
I had access to the web portal and could sign up for events, but they didn’t advertise that there was a local group of members where they could share information. I wasn't added to that. It’s also frustrating that, because they post events for the next month on the 7th of the current month, I only have three weeks to plan for an event I want to attend in the first week. I also tried to add events when I travel to other cities, but the events have all been booked. When I do go on events, they're in a nice location, but they focus on the food way too much. It’s also weird and unnecessary that they give away cash prizes.
Oftentimes, they’ll have events that they’ll limit for only a number of people. Say, the event is only for five people. I’m not gonna go to meet only five people when I live 90 minutes away from the city. That makes no sense. I try to sign for events all the time, and they’re full. One time, they put me on a waitlist and cleared me less than two hours before the event. Like I said, I live 90 minutes away, so I couldn't go.
Another thing is they said that the average age for the membership is 40. I’ve gone to a handful of events, and I’ve yet to meet anybody in my age at an event. They were way older. They retire members by making them hosts. Not only are they advertising much a younger member base, they're also allowing old hosts to continue interacting with the group.
I don’t plan on renewing my membership because the events are extremely expensive. I pay a ton of money to be a member, and every event costs $40. They have these signature events that they plan a little bit further like Halloween or New Year’s, but they keep raising the price as you get closer to the date, unless you sign up really early. The more they raise the price, the less people attend.
They advertise international trips that are extremely expensive, which I would never pay that much money for. They had a trip to Vancouver and they booked at a capsule hotel. I was thinking that made no sense, considering their average member is over 40 years old. In another instance, they planned a trip to Cuba, but they had to Miami first and included that on the schedule. That’s ridiculous. Nobody travels that way.
In short, I’ve not had a good experience at all. It’s a scam. I’m in another group that I pay a lot less for, I go to more events for, and have a much better experience.

I first heard about Events & Adventures through Instagram. And what made me interested in them was the different types of activities, and that they’re spread across the geographic area of San Francisco Bay. And it is a good way for people to experience things that they love, new things, exciting things, maybe kind of scary things, while also socializing and meeting new people, and depending on your activity, also maybe some like-minded people.
At my first event, I went line dancing, which was fun. I had a good time. And at first, I was maybe shy. I’m not generally a shy person, but I’m not someone who likes to perform or do stuff in front of a group of people. But it was really fun, and I particularly enjoyed it. So, dancing is fun, but I also made some cool friends. And the host of that event was a cool person, and I was happy I met her.
Over the time that I’ve been with E and A, I’ve been to four events. I’ve been to line dancing, curling, crime night where we solved a crime, and a pub crawl. And my favorite was the crime night. It was at a brewery in San Francisco, which was pretty quiet. It was a big open space with large picnic tables, which was handy for doing something like this because we had to spread papers all over the place.
And it was really fun. And intellectually, it excites me. And what’s fun about it is that everybody who was there could participate in a way that works for them. With something like line dancing, we all do the same thing. But with solving a crime, people sort of latch on to different pieces of information or visual parts. And they can show up in a little bit more of an individualistic way, and then everybody is together to achieve this one goal. So, it felt like we’re all in it together.
We solved it in the end. And in fact, I was the one who figured out the murder weapon. I didn’t know until the next day, but I had my suspicions, and I kept saying it. And no one really believed me, but we proved it in the end. It was the icicle. But that was about three hours, which was longer than the host had anticipated. But I think it was just right at the amount of time where it was like, “Okay. Let’s wrap this up.” It wasn’t too long, but it was on the longer side of some of the events.
And I have a big backpacking trip scheduled. It’s just outside of Moab, in Canyonlands, in Utah. It’s a place I haven’t been before. And I’ve been backpacking, so I at least am comfortable in that realm, but I know some other folks that are going on the trip have never been backpacking before, so I can just imagine what that would feel like. I’m a little nervous just thinking about going on the trip, but I’ve done the backpacking part.
So, it would be a total of five days and four nights. It’s essentially like camping and carrying our stuff. But the fun thing is, we have a guide who also is part chef. So, all of the materials, all of the food, all of that stuff is prepped and planned for us, and the route. We basically just show up and have to be physically ready and present to do this activity.
And there are six of us, and we have our backpacking stuff. And then they suggest another bag that we’ll store at the hotel for the first night and last night if you’re staying at a hotel. And that’s just your basic stuff, so you can have your regular toiletries and normal change of clothes for the plane. And then for the backpacking stuff, what we’re supposed to bring is a minimal amount of our own toiletries, super simple clothing options for the hike, and good boots. But they have everything else covered, like the sleeping bag, the tent, the basic structure that you need for backpacking, and the backpack.
So, I’m very excited. I have a couple of busy weeks of work first, and I’m trying to knock that stuff out so I can just be free of my vacation.
Rachelle, We are so happy to hear you are having so much fun at events. Our Canyonland trip is in a few days and you are going to have a blast!! We can't wait to hear how it goes!!

They have hiking events that I go to, which the people gather, and then I meet people, and I make friends, both men and women. They’ve also had some food events, like at a brewery. We would go there. There would be food that’s ordered. We socialize, make friends, talk, take pictures, and play games. And then I went to the line dancing event, which was fun. A bunch of people showed up. I would probably try line dancing again because it’s been pretty good.
But I’ve been sick a lot, and I missed a lot of events. So, I have to cancel at the last minute, and they’ve been pretty good.
So, Events and Adventures is a good place for people to go. I’ve met people who have been members of the club for maybe 10 years, and they’re pretty cool. It’s a little expensive, but that actually weeds out a lot of people. So, that’s good.

I’m interested in meeting new people and doing new experiences around town. I joined Events & Adventures last January and we’ve gone to the farmer’s market in Minneapolis and went out for brunch. That was a lot of fun. We’ve also gone out to lunch or dinners trying new restaurants.
I’ve met and talked with several people that I’ve seen at events. I feel comfortable talking to folks and even when I don’t know somebody, I can pick up a conversation. But most of the men in the events that I’ve gone to thus far, are younger or older than me. I haven’t found that sweet spot of people my age as far as male gender or ones that are not already paired up with somebody else or just by type and have similar interests.
Doing Events & Adventure is worth the time and money. Just coming off of COVID and the social isolation that that brought on, it’s a good way to have a nice selection of different activities to choose from. You just have to sign up and show up. You don’t have to plan the stuff so that part is easy. And then working from home, you have to be more purposeful in making sure that you’re getting out because it’s too easy to stay at home. So it’s a nice balance.
I’m still new to it and I haven’t done any of those adventure types of activities yet. But with the weather getting better, it’ll be easier to get out and do things like the outside stuff, which I haven’t experienced yet with the club. So I’m looking forward to that.
When I had questions, I got them answered and the process was easy getting signed up. I asked them things like where to cancel if I can’t make it to an event and they walked me through that at the first new member session that I went to.
The website needs some work though. Even over the weekend, I was trying to log on to see what other things I could sign up for. It was really glitchy. I could log on but I couldn’t view the calendar of events. It would also be nice if they could get an app and make it little more user-friendly. In the website, you have to do a lot of clicks just to see stuff. For example, if you’re scrolling through the calendar and you click on the event and click back to return to the calendar, it doesn’t take you back to where you were. You gotta go back to the top and then scroll back down.

Finding people to go out and do stuff on the weekend or finding new people to talk to seemed appealing, especially not having to plan anything. That got me interested with the social club. The first event I attended was a nature walk, and it got me excited. However, since I was running late, I was also a little nervous. The people there were nice and the atmosphere was good, so it broke the preconception. Since it was a walk, you have different groups of people walking at different speeds, and you had to stick with the crew that moves at the same pace.
Overall, I’ve attended more than 10 events. I’ve done the pickleball mingles. There was also a cards and crepes event on the same day as bowling, to name a few. My favorite one was the bar crawl. I did it two years in a row and those were enjoyable. Events and Adventures is not a dating group, which is what I think a lot people expect from it. It is a singles group, so it is a good place to go and not be a third wheel. I have a friend whom I got to sign up already.
Richard, we understand work schedules can be exhausting. We are glad you are using your down time to enjoy the club. Don't forget to freeze your membership if you are not using it, that way you don't lose any of your time!!

I live in Arizona now, and since I moved here two months ago, I'm trying to find new friends and potentially a new lover in my life so I signed up with Events and Adventures. I like the speed dating. So far, I like everything that I've gone to. I've met people but I don't know if I would call them friends yet because we really haven't chatted afterwards. Some women seemed interested but they ghost me, and too many women don't seem interested at all. Other than that, so far it’s good.

The first event I attended from Events & Adventures was singles night. It was a social at a restaurant and it was nice. We had drinks and food and everyone was polite and cordial. I felt positive and excitee when I arrived. Afterwards, I felt relieved that I was finally taking the first step towards improving my dating life. After that, I have attended up to almost a dozen events, most of which have been social events.
I like any kind of event where there's an interactive component or doing things as a group that helps add a little bit of context or a reason to socialize with each other. My goal now is to try and go to an event once a week if I can. So far, there's a good variety of events. My only critique was that the last one I attended, a concert, I was somewhat unlucky and it was just four dudes and only two women. I would recommend Events & Adventures to anyone looking to kickstart their dating life.

I've gone to a few activities of the Events & Adventures. I was nervous at the first event but it was fine. One of my favorites was when I attended a baseball match on July 3rd. It has some fireworks before Independence Day. I also like the tiki boat, it was fun.
There are several activities that I would like to join but I actually haven’t, because of the schedule. And when I go, I haven't met someone else, not even like a friend.
But maybe it's also on my end, because I see a group of people. They’re just a good fit. They get along together, and that's great. But that has not been the case with me.
When I was talking to Yuri, I had the feeling that the selection process of the profiles was different. They're nice, but they're just not the kind of people that I would normally go out or hang around with. We just have nothing in common.
I have not put a lot of effort and I would definitely not consider renewing the membership. It's too expensive for what you get because you also have to pay for the events. You pay $1,500 for a membership, and then you still have to pay for the activities. So that's not worth it for me.
I may have a year and a half and I was just like, it's something that I would not do again. Maybe, if there's a three months initial plan to see. Of course, you pay another membership fee and try.

I’ve been an Events & Adventures member since December but I’ve not done anything with the group yet. I live about 45 minutes to an hour away from Atlanta and I had signed up for a couple of things. But my mom is 96 years old, and so things are fluid. When something happens with her, I have to make sure that I can get her taken care of. And things are always booked. By the time I go to sign up for something, they’re full.
Also, I’ll be 59 in two weeks so I asked about the age of the people in the Atlanta market and was told that they had a large group of people that were my age and older. However, it has bothered me tremendously and has made me a little apprehensive cause in the pictures that have been posted of the Atlantic route, I don’t see anybody that looks like they could be anything over 35. If the point is to have verified individuals that are singles like me, then to meet them for the purpose of dating or friendship, it’s discouraging thinking that I hadn’t seen anybody in a picture that looks like they’re my age. Did I waste all this money?
Last night, I flew home from San Diego and was pulling up the calendar to see what I could get signed up for. But a lot of the events that are things that I would be interested in are full. Now, there are the open things. It’s unfair for me to judge it completely because I haven’t been yet. Maybe the people that are my age hide from the camera. I just need to go and see who’s there and see what it’s like. But based on the pictures and things that I’ve seen at the Atlanta Club, I wouldn’t recommend Events & Adventures to somebody.

I was interested in the social activities offered by Events & Adventures. I’m looking to date, but I was looking forward to going out and meeting new people. The first event I went to was a karaoke night. I was a little nervous at first, but once I started talking to people, I got more comfortable. Since then, I’ve gone to quite a few other events, including Whirleyball, a Murder Mystery party, and the New Year’s Eve event. My favorite so far has been Whirleyball because the game itself was really fun and entertaining. The crowd has been great. Everyone seemed nice, and I talked to quite a few people and got to know them. Overall, Events & Adventures is a great, positive place to meet new people and other singles, especially if you’re looking to date.

I heard about Events and Adventures through a radio ad, and it was at a point where I was trying to get out more. So, I thought it was a good idea and I signed up. Before arriving at my first event, I was a little nervous, but that changed afterwards. I met friends while I’m in the events and I see people that I recognize when I go to the next one. The mosaic-making class was my favorite event that I attended. Their prices can be expensive, but I would still recommend them.

Before arriving at one of my first events, I did not have a social life, and I feel like I have one now. When I first went, I was nervous and scared, and that changed when I arrived. I have been to a lot of events where I go to all the trivia, and I’ve gone to all the karaoke and the hikes too. I did a whole bunch of songs last week including Mr. Bright Side, 1985.
When you sign up with Events & Adventures, however, you are not able to see who all is going to the event. You can only see how many people have signed up. They do that because they don’t want people texting each other and stalking people. It would be nice to know who are going a day earlier so we can coordinate if we could carpool with anybody. Still, I have enjoyed everything that I’ve done, except for one thing, which I didn’t really care for. I’m just about to sign up for the Memorial Day camping trip in Tennessee.
Lauren, we are delighted you are having so much fun in the club. We look forward to seeing you in Tennessee!!

The first event I went to was good. They’re playing bingo and I was interested because it’s not like normal bingo. They had you put certain things about other people to get you to talk to other people. So it was fun at the end. They were really packed and everybody was chatting like crazy. I was actually nervous and I was not gonna go but in the end, I was glad that I did.
I also did a trip to Washington and to events every six times a month. There’s my two favorite one. I also do the hikes, the park, and the dinners and brunches. I have several friends that we hang out of E&A.
The whole program is very interesting. There are different people that like different things and it’s a little bit for everybody. But they need to work more on organizing big events. Because the New Year’s event, we all went. We got a hotel to not drive around. The experience was good but it could have been way better.
Also, some events we go, we expect certain food and there’s no food. They don’t even have a breakfast. Or sometimes they need to look more into the places that they have on our calendar to make sure they’re up-to-date as what it says on Google. One of those little things that they need to watch out. Because we’ve been to places and we think this is gonna be the menu but we only have three things or it’s only frozen stuff. But other than that, I would definitely recommend E&A to people. The price is good and it’s like a membership and I get a lot of it.
Edna, we are so glad you are enjoying the club and that the nerves are gone!!

I attended one local event of Events & Adventures, and it was fabulous. I went to this event because it goes to different places, so when I first saw it, I tried it out. I enjoyed this one because it was close to my home in Stafford and involved cooking. The other two local events I didn’t attend due to the weather. There are a lot of events I love going to, but because of the location, I haven’t been since I have a hard time driving at night.
The cooking event was my first one. I sat at a table where I wasn’t part of the group, but they welcomed me. It was wonderful. We made the pasta and ate it. The camaraderie was really nice. We enjoyed the evening and will attend other events. I probably remember their faces, but wouldn’t remember their names.
I look at the calendar on their website often, add some events in there, and see what I want to do, and then I click them off. It was easy to use. I have one I didn't attend, the eating event, but they still charged me for it. I love all the restaurants, but I haven't attended any of them because they are so far. I'm in the process of trying to start attending more.
Priscilla, we are so glad you are enjoying the cooking class! It does look like you received event credits for that dinner if you would like to reach out to Accounting@eventsandadventures.com and we can refund it to your card or we can show you how to use them for a future event!

I’ve been a member with Events & Adventures since November. For the sign-up process, I had to do a video conference with a woman, and I think she was in Colorado. I’m kind of glad they did what they did, especially as expensive as it was, because I can understand why they want to look at people and get a feel for whether they really think you can afford it or not.
I’ve only done two events, and I’ve signed up for two more but haven’t been able to go at the last minute. I do think it is expensive. It’s not just the cost or initiation fee. At least in the DC area, almost every event costs on top of what you’ve already paid. You’ve paid a couple of thousand dollars for a year or a year and a half. Then you have to pay $35, $40, or $55 per event on top of that. It really adds up. Even when I get to a point where I can get out more, I’m not going to many events in a month because of the cost.
At the first event I attended, only four people showed up. The event contact spent a lot of time talking with one of the members who had been told several things that were not very complimentary toward Events & Adventures, towards the way they manage things and treat their event people. It made me think that this was a pretty hefty investment. To hear one of their own event managers badmouth them that much kind of stuck in my mind.
I wondered if this was as good an organization as I thought it was going to be. I’ve had some issues and haven’t gone to as many things as I normally would have. I don’t really know if maybe she had just had a bad day, and things are not really as bad as she painted them. I don’t have any way to judge since I’ve only been to one other event other than that one.

I’ve been a member of Events & Adventures since January of this year, around the 23rd or 25th. The person who helped me sign up told me they couldn’t hold the special for the next day and that I needed to sign up right away. I didn’t like the way I felt rushed to sign up.
I joined when it was super cold, so most of the turnout is not that much. It’s usually about six to eight people at events. I went on a hike and that one had a big turnout, about 10 of us went.
Brunch and dinner events are usually small groups, around six to eight people. I didn’t attend karaoke because it was cold, but I saw from the pictures that about 10 or so people turn up for the event. The people who host the events are usually friendly and the hostess is accommodating. So far I haven’t been on any trips.
For now, I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else. I think it’s a little bit oversold and overhyped.

I don’t even remember what the first event I attended was. I haven’t gone on any trips with Events & Adventures because I’m a single parent, and it’s not easy for me to just take off somewhere. But I really enjoy going out and doing activities like playing games or going bowling.
For me, it was about being around like‑minded people who just want to go out and have fun without the pressure of thinking, “Is this the person I’m going to be dating for the next couple of years?” I’ve done everything from bowling to shooting pool, throwing darts, skydiving, trying new restaurants, and having game nights at people’s houses.
We’ve played board games and gone go‑karting. Sometimes the event itself isn’t that great, but the people who show up make it more fun. A lot of the events officially end after about two hours, but then a group of us will hang out until 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning.
I think there are certain things that could be handled better, like planning. I’ve gone to some events where it’s like, “Okay, come here, everyone go here, we’re going to do music bingo or trivia.” Then we get there and ask, “We’re here for Trivia Night. We have a reservation.” They check and say they found the reservation. Then we say, “Yes, we’re here for Trivia Night,” and they tell us they haven’t done trivia there in two months and don’t do it anymore.
It feels like some of the people coordinating the events may just look things up online and see that a place offers something, but don’t really follow up. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I’ve helped out with that a bit, because I think the person coordinating the events is still pretty new to the Atlanta area.
I even heard she moved here for the job, so she doesn’t really know all the ins and outs yet. For example, we signed up to go bowling and it was $14 per person, but that only covered about an hour with six people on one lane, and you can’t even finish a full game. Some of the research and planning could be better.

I was a little nervous, not knowing what to expect at the first event. But everyone that’s been a host has been very friendly and they were well-coordinated events. I love the mystery dinner theater thing where it was potluck. Everyone got assigned a role and you acted out a part in the mystery. I’ve also made connections with a couple of ladies but no men. One event I went to was 100% women. Women usually outnumber the men four to one, at least.
One event I went to was from 6:00 to 8:00. I left my house at 4:00 and I didn’t get there until 7:00. When I got there, someone was already leaving, so I just had 1 hour for the event and then everyone left. And then I had a two-hour ride back home, so that one was not thought-out very well on my part traffic-wise.
But the sales pitch I received and the reality is pretty far apart. I swore that I was told that I could pause membership. When I contacted customer service about pausing membership, I was told I can’t do that. So the payments continue. They can lower my payments down to $75 a month, but it’s just a temporary fix and it actually extends the membership by another 6 months because you still have to finish paying for it. So there’s no way to get out of it.
The price is okay though. For a hockey game, there is a little bit of a discounted price as a group rather than going individually, so that’s a good deal. But other things, it might be $10 to $15 to attend the event, but then you get there and it’s another $20 to $25 for food. So pretty much plan on at least $40 to $50 for each event. As someone who’s unemployed, that can add up pretty quick. If I had another 150 bucks a week to go to three events, I might, but that’s why I don’t attend things.

I was looking for real experiences with people I don’t know because I am from France, and I don’t know anyone in Washington, DC. It was the opportunity for me to have some connection with people in the area. Everything I hear and read regarding Events and Adventures is positive. I like them.
The first event I attended at Events & Adventures was a dinner at a restaurant in DC. Everyone in this social club was very nice. The selection was very good because I received a warm welcome. It was very interesting. I was a bit shy, but everybody was so welcoming that I quickly felt like I was at home and with some friends.
I went to four dinners and three sports events. My favorite was sports events. One sport event was indoor rock climbing. I like to practice sports, and this event suited me very well. I met other people who like sports. It was very good for me.
I went on a trip to ski near DC. It was something I wouldn’t be able to do if I wasn't in Events and Adventures, so it’s a really good opportunity. I would like to do other sports events and trips. I saw there’s a trip in Mexico in October, so maybe I will plan to go there.
I do one or two events a month because I’m busy at work, so I can’t do more. If I had the time, I wish I could go to more events. I would recommend friends and family to enroll in Events and Adventures, if they don’t have any other opportunity or occasion to meet people somewhere. It’s a really good way for someone like me who is alone in a new country to have some friends and connections.

I had a wonderful experience with Events & Adventures. The experience truly matched what was promised when they sold me the package. I've been making great friends and genuinely look forward to hanging out with them every weekend. I've participated in several events and one of my favorites was the Paddle Pub event in Saint Pete. It's this innovative moving bar where everyone paddles to move it, and it was a fantastic experience.
Initially, I was curious about what to expect. But that quickly changed when I arrived and was greeted warmly by the hosts and the welcoming group. The hosts who organize the events are always friendly and make the experience enjoyable.
I haven't gone on any of the actual trips yet, as the ones currently on the calendar don't appeal to me. But if something of interest comes up, I’ll definitely sign up. To find out about the events, I usually check their website. However, I do wish they had an app as it would be more convenient.
Through Events & Adventures, I've made some good friends in the city, which has been a significant benefit for me. Overall, I would rate my experience with them as 5 stars. Their customer service is top-notch, always prompt and helpful, and I'd also give that 5 stars. The pricing feels justified considering the benefits. However, their website needs improvement, and I’d rate the ease of navigation a 2 stars, as it could be much better.
Overall, I’m pleased with my experience and would recommend Events & Adventures to friends looking to meet new people and experience well-organized events.
We are so glad you are making friends and enjoying the events. Don't forget to also check out the local trips if the international trips are not for you!!

I haven't been on any trips yet, but I am signed up for some in the future, which I'm looking forward to.
While I haven't met any significant others, I have made some good friends through Events and Adventure. If a friend or family member were to ask me about it, I'd tell them it's worth exploring, particularly if you're looking for a variety of activities. They offer a wide range of events from holiday parties and dance classes to hikes and painting sessions, so there's something for everyone. I'd give Events and Adventure 4 stars overall for customer service, pricing, and their website's ease of use. They offer a broad selection of activities, ensuring that even if one doesn't catch your interest, something else likely will.

I first discovered Events and Adventure while searching online for ways to meet people and join dating groups. What I enjoy most about the club is the variety of activities and the ever-changing mix of people attending, which provides more opportunities to meet new faces. I've been with the group for nearly a year now, having joined in April. In the beginning, I was quite active, attending two to three events every weekend. However, as my schedule got busier, especially around the holidays and due to some work commitments, my attendance has decreased.
The first event I attended was WhirlyBall, a fun new member meet and greet, which is now a regular activity for newcomers. There were a lot of people at that first event, which gave me hope for meeting a wide range of participants. However, subsequent events have had fewer attendees, and I've noticed a pattern of predominantly female participants, which has been a bit of a letdown for meeting potential dates.
Despite attending numerous events, I've only found one person attractive, but we didn't have enough in common. The club has been a good way to keep busy and not feel lonely, and it has helped me improve my social skills. However, I don't consider any of the people I've met as close friends, only acquaintances.
I would rate my overall experience with Events and Adventure as a 3 out of 5. The initial customer service was handled professionally, though I feel the club wasn't accurately represented at the start. The usability of their website, which has improved significantly, also gets a 3. It was initially unimpressive but is now much easier to use and resembles a standard website. While I wouldn't outright recommend the club, I wouldn't advise against it either.

I've been using Events and Adventures primarily to make new friends rather than for dating, as I wanted a safe way to meet people without the awkwardness of sitting alone in a bar. The group’s organized nature, with check-ins and a focus on safety, really appealed to me. The activities offered are diverse and cater to different interests, making it easy to find something enjoyable. I've particularly loved the girls-only events like strip pole dancing classes, as well as park activities like flag football and kickball, which are affordable compared to other options. One of my favorite experiences was a flower arrangement class. It was fun and educational, something I wouldn't have done on my own. Events like Gasparilla and the boat trip in Florida have been amazing too, providing an opportunity to explore new places and meet more people within the group.
While Events and Adventures is great for making friends, I discovered it operates on a subscription basis, which wasn't immediately clear. This aspect might need better upfront communication. I also believe the focus should be on friendship rather than dating, as my experiences have been purely about building friendships. Overall, it's been a positive experience with like-minded people and varied activities. Although it's advertised somewhat like a dating service, I've found it to be more of an adult friendship club, which is both refreshing and fun.

I was living in a different state and Events and Adventures had a chapter there but they didn't have one in Atlanta. Then, I heard about it again on the radio late last year. I'm now living in Atlanta so, I looked it up and decided to join to be able to have the opportunity to meet new people, try new things and not have to feel like I have to go alone to things to be able to experience fun new things and see sides of Atlanta that I haven't seen before. The very first event that I attended was the brews and yoga. It was a Sunday morning at a Mutation Brewery. It was not too long ago and it was a free event which is one of the main things that I love about it is that we pay for the membership, but also, there are free events where you're able to go and still meet people. There were eight total who attended the yoga part, but seven of us afterward sat outside, had a drink and just talked and interacted and learned more about each other.
I have now done three events. I want to do trips, but that'll have to be next year with budgeting. But my goal is to do an event each week. I did a waterfall-coffee hike and we met at Vickery Creek. We all started walking and it was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. There were maybe 10 of us but we picked up a few people that were late along the way and talked to everybody that was there. Afterward, we went to the coffee shop that was not too far away and just sat for another hour or two, having a giant cookie and a little chai tea latte. Then we talked about the trips that Events and Adventures does, how much fun it would be and the dream destinations we would want to go to.
The third event that I went to was last night. It was an event dinner so, we all had a corner table shoved off to the sides from the main restaurant because we got rowdy. We were laughing and cheering each other on. So, that was fun. But we played Jenga which had a few dares written on the blocks and you would have to do the dare if you pulled it. There were a lot of blank ones. So, we had to write in our own dares. And then the "loser" had to put the bag that the Jenga came on their head for a picture and then it was done. But we just sat around, had some food, played Jenga and learned more about each other.
I liked the coffee event because you could sit next to anybody and just talk around the coffee table. So, there's a lot more interaction involved. During the hike, you could catch up with different people and interact with everybody while just walking around and seeing nature. I have pints and puzzles lined up. I have adult roller skating, which I haven't been roller skating in forever. So, that makes me nervous. I’m also going to Ponce City Market, getting coffee there for National Espresso Day and then finding a table and playing games like Uno. I might just bring my miniature Connect 4 if we need a break from the competitive edge of Uno. If you wanna have the opportunity to go out and explore spaces that you never knew existed where you live while also meeting fun, cool new people who also want to go out and explore, Events and Adventures is perfect for it.
We are so glad you are enjoying the Atlanta club! When you're ready to go on your dream destination, we do offer payment plans for our bigger trips so you it may be closer than you think!!

I first heard about Events and Adventures through Facebook and have attended around ten of their events. Initially, I was excited because I thought that I was gonna have a lot of fun because I saw that there were some pretty ladies. Since it was my first time, I didn't wanna overstep my bounds, then in most of the subsequent events, I noticed the attendees were predominantly guys, or the women present were often already with someone. My main goal was to meet someone for a potential relationship, but the imbalance made it less appealing.
While I do have a good time with the guys, it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. Another challenge for me is that I live on the west side, and most of the events are on the east side, making it logistically difficult to attend regularly.
My attendance in future events is becoming less likely due to these reasons. If a friend asked, I’d share this same experience honestly. On a scale from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 being highly recommended, I would rate my overall experience as a 2 or 3. The customer service and startup process were excellent, warranting a 5, but the price feels like a 3.

I first heard about Events and Adventures through Instagram ads. Being single and having some free time, I was interested in giving it a try. My first event was at a small amusement park in Queen Creek, Arizona. I was really looking forward to it, and my experience was good.
Since then, I've attended about 4 or 5 events. We went to an arcade bar and we also did music bingo and trivia nights. Trivia Night was my favorite as we split up into teams at the Oak bar downtown Phoenix. Coming up later this month is a cornhole competition, which I’ve signed up for.
The crowd is mostly familiar as I see the same faces often, which suggests that many people regularly sign up. They're generally okay and I'd rate my overall experience a 3 out of 5. Events and Adventures is a good club if you're single and just want to get out there without any pressure. However, if you're specifically searching for dating opportunities, it might not be your first choice.
In summary, Events and Adventures provides an environment for people to have fun while they're single, but it could improve in terms of providing more opportunities for dating for those interested.

I heard about Events and Adventure through a radio ad while I was in my car. So far, I've attended two events. Initially, I was nervous since it was a new experience and I was meeting new people, but I quickly felt comfortable upon arriving. The first event I attended was my favorite; it was an icebreaker session followed by another activity at a bar-like venue with an F1 simulation experience. Although I don't plan to go on any trips soon, I am interested in attending more events.
When it comes to recommending Events and Adventure to friends or family, I’m in a bit of a dilemma. The second event wasn't great, leaving me disappointed, so I'm still trying to figure out if this is the right fit for me. While my experience has been okay, I wouldn’t say it’s amazing yet. I'm still open to seeing how it goes as I give it more time and participate in more events.
In terms of rating, I would give my overall experience a 3 out of 5 stars, and for customer service and price, I would rate it a 2. The additional fees on top of the monthly payment for many of the events seem a bit much to me.

I've had not-so-great experiences with meetups and all the free offerings online, and wanting to get out and socialize, I thought, "Might as well pay a bit of money and see if I can get a more curated experience with fewer people." Prior to attending an event, I felt a bit nervous, didn't know what to expect and had no idea what the average age of the members would be when I got there. My first event was a trivia night where I socialized with just three people out of the 20 or so that were there, but since July, I've been fairly active, attending around 10 events each month. However, now in January and February, I've been not going out as much because it's winter.
I enjoy the regular board game nights. We have the boardroom here in Arlington where I live, which is a great place for meetup groups. It's been a lot of fun, especially with the Events & Adventures guys. The amusement park outings are my personal favorite, and I like trying new restaurants as well. Through these events, I’ve made a few new friends, and my closest circle now includes people I met through Events and Adventures. There are four of us and we celebrated my birthday in November together. I’m currently dating one of them as well.
Overall, I've had a fantastic experience with Events and Adventures, and based on this, I wholeheartedly rate them a 5 out of 5.
Alexander that is fantastic to hear! We are so happy that you are enjoying the club and even dating!! We'll be sure to let your event manager know to keep the amusement park outings on the calendar!

If I could give a negative star I would. They are trying to just take your money. They will not cancel your contract regardless of your satisfaction with the membership, your situation for availability, or conditions in terms of finances and health. As these may change in the beginning or throughout the contract. DO NOT SIGN UP! They are heartless and careless about people and just want the money. You are better off going to one-off events that you think will be interesting and worth your time. Not through this scam!

My first event with Events & Adventures was really nice. It was a batting cage event, and I met some new friends that I became lifelong friends with. I met some people that we have weird connections with like friends of friends, and that was cool. It's really nice to have other friends. I've been to countless events and adventures. I've been part of the club for three years. I go to about five or sometimes eight events a month. I have fun on everything I do. I did wine-tasting. We had a Lego build night with some wine. That one was my favorite. We built Lego at a local Lego robotics company. So, it's nice that they partner with local businesses. I'd tell others to join Events & Adventures. I had two of my good friends join because of what I told them about. I had them come in and see some of the events and they go with me as guests, and then they ended up joining.

I had fun on my first event and so far, I've attended 8 events with Events & Adventures. I went to the Nutcracker Ballet, and that was really fun. Everybody's really friendly, but there's very low attendance and I'm getting discouraged. Every time I go to an event, it's different people so I usually just see them one time then never again. Also, I get excited about an activity, but the venue is not like what it looks like in the pictures. If I had a chance to see the calendar ahead of time, that would help.
I have contacted the event manager in DC to help you see the calendar. The calendar for Feb should be available to view on Jan 15.

Events & Adventures choose nice places and I met a nice bunch of people thru them. The only thing is, I'm not really sure how many people are in the Phoenix chapter, but it seems like it's the same 20 people at every event. I like all of them but I thought I'd get to meet more people at every event. Other than that, I like the Christmas time thing at the zoo with the Christmas lights where they had beer. I'd recommend events & Adventures to people who are looking for an opportunity to go out and have company with other people.
We are so happy that you are enjoying yourself and I have met some nice people. Sounds like there are alot of people that enjoy the same activities that you do. Maybe try something different, as this may bring in a different crowd. Have fun:)

I first heard about Events and Adventures through the radio, and what drew me in were the international trips they offer. As a single person, it's challenging to plan trips with a group, and I love traveling. My first event was a game night at a bar in Kirkland. Despite the pouring Seattle rain, it was enjoyable to meet new people and find an activity, especially when friends with families couldn't join. Luckily, it was a smaller place and not very big, because if it had been a big place, I was concerned I wouldn't know where I needed to go. But they made themselves visible and easy to spot, so that made it a lot easier. And everyone's very welcoming.
I've been a member since 2018 and typically attend several local events yearly, like art shows and wine tastings. I've traveled with them to various destinations, including New Orleans, Egypt, Jordan, Peru, Japan, Antarctica, Thailand, Cambodia and I'm about to embark on a trip to Belize. My favorite experience was in Japan, a two-week adventure where we explored Kyoto and Hiroshima. I cherished a handmade handbag I bought in Kyoto and enjoyed the flavorful matcha tea from a local tea shop.
I've met many wonderful people through these trips. It's great to encounter familiar faces from local events on international journeys. Overall, I would rate my experience with Events and Adventures a 5. I've recommended it to others curious about my travels. The payment plan option makes it convenient for me to participate. They've even accommodated my request for a Hawaii trip, which I'm excited about. It's an excellent way to travel and engage in activities without waiting for others to join. Events and Adventures is a great way to get out and travel. Or if you don't have a lot going on, go out and do an event so you don't feel stuck at home.
We are so happy to hear you are enjoying our international trips! Thank you for being such an outstanding member and have a wonderful time in Belize!

I found Events and Adventures through Facebook and decided to join as a way to meet people since I'm not usually a social person. Before attending my first event, I was quite nervous. However, once I arrived, everyone was welcoming, polite, and made it easier for me to feel comfortable. So far, I've attended about 8 or 9 events, but no trips yet. It's tough to pick a favorite because I've enjoyed the dinners, which I love because I enjoy eating, and the game nights since I like playing games. I've also made a couple of new friends along the way.
If someone asked me about my experience, I'd tell them it's a great way to get out and do activities instead of just staying home watching TV. The customer service has been excellent, however, the price is a bit high for me, partly because my job's late hours prevent me from attending as often as I'd like. The website calendar could also be more user-friendly, as I find myself backtracking through pages after signing up for events.
So glad you are making friends in the club and enjoying all the different activities. We are ready for you to experience a trip either locally or internationally, you just need to sign up!!

What caught my interest when I heard about Events & Adventures through the radio was having an outlet to do things as part of a group. Before attending my first event, I was quite excited, and that feeling didn't change once I arrived. I've attended approximately 2 to 3 dozen events so far, with brunches being particularly enjoyable since they're held at least once a week. Through these events, I've made some friends, which has been nice. Overall, I would rate my experience with Events & Adventures a 4 out of 5. I would also give the price of membership and the online tools or website a 4.
We are so glad you continue to enjoy the brunches and other events, we look forward to seeing you at the next one!

I was looking to meet different people and try new activities in my surroundings. I heard about Events and Adventures through social media after moving to a new area, and I felt excited and looked forward to my very first event, which was a music bingo night at a brewery. The guests were as expected—friendly and varied in personalities, with some being more introverted.
I've been part of the club for about a year and attended around 12 events, including trivia nights, hikes, a woodworking workshop, and a visit to an alpaca farm. Upcoming events include another hike and a charity event involving dogs.
My favorite event was the hike because I felt a strong connection with the other attendees due to our shared interest in the outdoors. We had a great time, and it felt like I found a group I connected with.
I would rate my overall experience with Events and Adventures as 3 stars. While everyone is nice, and I'm glad I signed up to try something new, the events can be disorganized, and the costs are higher than I expected. Membership for a year was $2200 upfront, and additional costs for events, such as tickets to a Mariners game or deposits, made it more expensive than anticipated. This has deterred me from attending some trips.

The sign-up process with Events & Adventures was straightforward. I heard about them through Facebook. I reached out to them, and they set up a meeting to go through their events and membership details. I have been a member for about a month and a half, and so far, it's been a good experience.
I've attended several events, and my favorite was one that was interactive, allowing for conversations with different people, unlike a comedy club where you just sit and watch. Having recently moved to the town, I appreciate how Events & Adventures introduces me to new places and people. I've met some cool people in there. As long as they continue to offer a wide variety of activities, I'll be satisfied.
Overall, I would highly recommend Events & Adventures.
We are so happy you are enjoying the club and we will continue to offer a variety of activities along with stellar customer service!

I first learned about Events & Adventures through word-of-mouth while exploring alternatives to online dating. Initially, my experiences were mixed, with about half the events meeting my expectations and the others lacking something. However, as I attend more, I've grown more comfortable, finding that roughly 75% of the activities align with my interests now.
It's not the events themselves that were problematic but rather the people attending, as connections can sometimes feel like a stroke of luck. I'm naturally extroverted, and while the first event wasn't great, things improved at the second one, allowing me to meet people who have formed subgroups over time. Some members coordinate outings independently, which is a testament to the connections formed beyond official events.
The cost of certain events felt excessive. Like New Year's, 168 bucks was a lot, especially since I don't drink. I opted for a more personal gathering with friends I've met through the group, demonstrating the flexibility in engaging with the community. On a scale of 1 to 5, I'd rate my Events & Adventures experience as a 4, reflecting my overall satisfaction while acknowledging room for improvement. Also, I had some concerns regarding communication and organizational details. Specific issues included event calendars containing inaccuracies and hosts missing events due to poor communication. This highlights the need for more attentive management of details and improved response times from organizers.
Thank you for your feedback Kelly! We love that you are happy with the club overall and that you are enjoying the events and friends you have made. We will look in to your comments about the calendar and the communication problems with some of the hosts.

I first discovered Events and Adventures through a social media ad. Initially, I felt a bit nervous attending my first event, but that was more about my general apprehension towards social gatherings rather than the group itself. So far, every event I've attended has been excellent, well-organized, and well-planned. I have the freedom to choose events that interest me, which ensures I have fun.
I've definitely made new friends through these events, and I have no suggestions for improvements so far. I appreciate the platform as a social space for singles, and I want to clarify that it's not primarily a dating platform. Many might confuse it due to the single social focus, but for me, it's more about meeting new people in a social setting, and any dating opportunity is just a bonus. This understanding has made my experience very satisfying because it meets my expectations as a social platform.
I find it reassuring to know that everyone is single, making interactions straightforward. I want to share this perspective to help others understand what to expect and to avoid any misconceptions about the platform being strictly for dating.
We are so happy that you are enjoying your experience and making new friends!

My experience with Events and Adventure was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. I first learned about the club through an Instagram post and was initially attracted to the concept of meeting people around my age who were also single. However, my experience was not satisfying due to the events often having an unexpected gender imbalance and being primarily attended by an older age group than I anticipated.
The first event I attended was a volleyball game, but there were barely any women present until the very end. The next event at a rooftop bar had a slightly better gender mix but still skewed older than I expected. Overall, I attended three events, but none stood out as particularly enjoyable.
Because of the age group and terms of the contract, I wouldn't recommend Events and Adventure to someone around my age, entering their 30s. It might be more suited to those entering their late 30s or early 40s, but I would advise reviewing the legal contract details first, as opting out might not be straightforward.
Despite my overall dissatisfaction, I would rate their customer service relatively high, around four stars. For the price, I would give it a three-star rating, reflecting an average experience. Additionally, I found their website to be reasonably navigable, which I would also rate as three to four stars.

I was disappointed with the first event I went to. There was a group of people talking outside of the restaurant that we were meeting at, and the person didn't welcome me. I didn't know where I was supposed to go. I'm not a shy individual, so I was able to go in and meet with people. Eventually, they guided me to what I needed to do. If it was my organization though, I would have known who the newbies were and I would have been on the lookout for them since they have our photos. I would have expected to have a bit more welcoming of a response there.
I've been to a couple of events and they've all been that way. I have not gone to many due to my own schedule, but it's not like there's somebody that seems excited that a member is there. I'm still trying to find an activity that meshes with me, but right now, I'm viewing Events & Adventures as a colossal waste of money for me. I'm outgoing, so meeting people isn't a problem. That's why I think I'm just going to the wrong events and I need to change the type of events I'm going to. Thus far, the people I've met are nice and certainly easy to converse with for a night, but not the type of people that I'd call up and say, “Hey, let's go do this or let's go do that.” That's why I need a guide towards the different types of events I'm going to.

Joining Events & Adventures was a nice way to meet people and know that they're screened and have a clean background, because finding people on the internet today or even network with can be a little sketchy sometimes. So, one less thing to worry about. You're in a safe environment with people already screened. I was a little nervous for my first event, but everyone was really nice and friendly and welcoming. Every event is different and unique in its own because different people show up. So, it makes it a little interesting and spontaneous because sometimes you don't know who you'll meet. So, that can be exciting. But there are regulars that you'll meet. It was nice to just organically have an activity and then have no pressure and just friendships there that just naturally form.
I've done eight events so far. I would like to do more, but it's just I've been very busy at work. It's always nice. If I don't have anything planned, I can peek at the calendar and there's something already organized, something spontaneous, something either I've heard of, but it’s a team event where it feels awkward if I go by myself. It's fun to just have that social aspect of not going alone. If there's someone that’s attractive or friendly or fun, it's nice to know that they're screened. They're have a clean background and then there's no pressure. But you're in the right environment to meet people. These are people that are there for the social aspect also. So, you're not intruding on someone's privacy. If it develops into something more, that's great. But if not, then you made a new friend, which is also great.

My first event at E&A was a game night, and it was fun. People were warm and welcoming. I'm very shy to begin with, in new places, so it was nice to feel welcomed, and I warmed up quickly. I've only done Colorado events, but I like to do the arts and crafts type one, or the dinners, or outside, go look at lights. We also went to the Bright Nights, also went to different restaurants, tried new foods, physical activities like smashing rooms. It's very therapeutic. It's better to do that than go to jail. I usually like to take pictures of people I'm extremely mad at, or things I’m mad at, and take it to the rooms and take a sledgehammer to it.
Immersive Gamebox was good, too. You become the game controller, like a Nintendo-type thing. You're inside the game, you use your body to control movement. They’re very fun. My favorite was the World Dinners. One of the hosts in Denver likes to advertise or she likes to get our coordinator to have these world dinners. She picks restaurants that do different cuisines around the world, and we try different cuisines and their food.
Hey Alyssa, so glad you are enjoying the club, trying new things and making new friends!

It was a small group and I was able to strike up conversations and get to know people. The Pirates of Emerson event on Halloween was fun and our Halloween party in the city was also fun. The events fill up fast. E&A might low-cap it first and then they see how many other people sign up and then, they'll open it up. But the one I enjoyed the most of those I've attended was Lucky Night at Tongue and Groove. We learned how to dance Bachata. I'm interested in that. It's something I hope to learn, and it was a nice atmosphere. So, I enjoyed it a lot. There was another event where folks didn't show up, and then there was another event where we met at a bar and played some games. I guess timing is everything. Some of the activities sound like fun but when you go to the activity, there's nobody you want to interact with or increase curiosity. Then it becomes just a rather boring gathering.

Events & Adventures was good. People are friendly. I couldn't continue because some of the events are a little further away from me. And I think some of the events, I was expecting them to be more within my age group, but I wasn't sure what to expect. There were some familiar faces when I went for the second or the third time. I would like for some events, at least, that focus on a particular age group because it's amazing to meet people of all age groups and demographics. I heard about Events & Adventures on social media and it was an avenue to connect with people my age and the same season of life. I'm in the Atlanta area and I went to a dinner in Sandy Springs on my first event. I was excited to go. I didn't know what to expect exactly because it was more of a social aspect, not a dating one. When I left, I was a little surprised at the percentage of men to women. But women tend to be a little more outgoing. It was predominantly women in their 40s and over. There was one male and there was a newer hostess.
I had also gone to a cooking class that was hosted at a local brew. We made homemade pasta and pompadour sauce and pesto basil sauce. It was a good time, very social and interactive. I liked the opportunity to meet people, and participate in different activities that I wouldn't seek out myself. My first event was a haunted house. I was excited because it was something that I was into. That was a lot of fun. I had the thought process, "I wanna try more events." With a haunted house, there was no opportunity for us to all stop and chat a lot. Mostly, while waiting in line. While inside, I was in the moment. Once it was over, we went to a bar so we could all hang out and chat a little more. That was nice. I went to a friendsgiving a week and a half ago. That sealed the deal for me and I looked forward to doing more. It was more intimate in the sense that it was at one of the member's home. I had more of an opportunity to sit and talk with other members. Everybody brought their own dish. It felt homely. It was a more relaxing atmosphere because everyone that was there was a member of the club.

The person that you check in with is very welcoming and introduces you to everybody and makes sure everybody feels comfortable. It's really the best thing I've decided to invest in when it comes to meeting people because I'm not great at just finding people. I went to a Halloween event. It was like a two-hour event. We did a lot of walking around, hung out, and chitchatted out at Rawhide. It was good.
Everybody at Events and Adventures has been really great from start to finish. Every question that I have is always answered. When you become part of the group, you get messages. They remind you when the new calendars are live, so you're not having to try to remember it's the 15th of every month. They're very encouraging about, “Hey, come on out. And these are the things that we like to do. And come try something.” Usually it's about 10 to 15 people that wind up going to the events that I've gone to, and they have all been super friendly and excited about their experience too. Absolute SCAM! You have to “interview” to be accepted into the club and then commit to a 1 or 2 year membership contract on the spot. The membership fees are extraordinary at around $200 per month just to join. They tell you that most events are free with your membership, but that is not the truth. Most cost anywhere from $10-100 per event; one event even cost $5 just to show up to a free coffee shop to play card games…. The only way to cancel is within 3 days of signing up which doesn’t even give you time to test out the events to see if you like the club. After a month of the club I realized that there were no “young professionals” for dating and most of the participants at the events I went to were 50+ years old (for reference I am in my 30s and hoping to use this to find a relationship). After realizing that the club was not what was promised in my “screening interview” I attempted to cancel and was informed of their 3-day cancellation process.
After months of trying to contact the resolutions department, I eventually had to submit a letter from my doctor’s office saying I could not participate in the club for them to finally submit a cancellation and prorated refund. This was the worst decision I have ever made, but the commercials and salespeople really know how to sell it. Save yourself the headache and a LOT of money and avoid this scam of a “club”. Lesson learned.

There were some drink tickets as well. It mainly was dancing and socializing for three-fourths of the time. I enjoy that stuff. You mingle and it's non-confrontational.
I also went to the Labor Day camping trip and got to know a good chunk of people. That allowed me to open up. The first event I went to was a very small group, but as I've come to gather, our group is now very large. I was so nervous going to that first event and I still am nervous even going to events now. It takes me a lot of confidence to get there, but once I'm there, I'm thinking what took me so long. I don't see where all of that money is going though. I did not realize Events & Adventures was gonna be so expensive, but I signed up because I figured, “Okay. Even if there weren't dating opportunities in there for me, I could at least meet some new people and it would be a good idea to grow my database for business.” I also don't wanna be dating broke jokers and I definitely thought the members were gonna be more along the lines of people who can afford this.
I've been a member for about four months, and I regret it a little. I've done about five events in the first month and a half, then I had a lot of travels for work. I did another event, then had a bunch more travels for work. I am signed up already for two hikes and a trivia night for November only because I'll be done traveling for work. The part that sucks is they said, “Oh, well, where are you gonna be traveling?” I told them one month was Arkansas and another month was Boston, and I'm halfway through the Boston thing. They said, “Oh, great! Well, there's one in Boston.” However, the Boston calendar of events doesn't have anything on there.
Events & Adventures is marketed as more of a dating thing and in the events I've been to, the people were super nice, but there were zero attractive men in that group. The majority of them are at least a decade older than me, and there's no one at all that is anywhere close. To me, it's way too expensive to just be a friend thing. There are too many free friend things out there. I don't see any point in trying to argue getting my money back, but I thought about it for a while.
Events & Adventures threw out some incentives when I was back pedaling out of wanting to sign up, but for what people get out of it, it's outrageously expensive. I'm unhappy with it, and I'm not gonna be re-upping after my time's up. Still, Events & Adventures is good, especially if someone's new to Atlanta, if their schedule is flexible and the traffic doesn't bother them if they're driving around town. Most of the stuff just ping pong all over the place. I was sold on it being a lot more people my age looking for dating, and it's just a lot of girls and a lot of old guys. It's not worth the money. I'd rather just go to all the free stuff that's available for meeting random people.

Signing up with Events and Adventures was easy. I went down to their office, signed up there, and paid the money. One could do it online or by phone, but I'm the type that drives there. Events and Adventures is well worth it. I like their events. We've gone to pool parties, which is great. I went camping twice as well. They like to go to this fancier food area and bars with fancy beers but I'm not into the fancy beers. But other than that, it's still fun.
It could be usually a fairly good size, like 8, 10 people, and I get along with all of them. They seem to like me too. We just went to that one for Halloween, and that was a blast. Maggie picks the good spots, like a hotel right next to a bar place. What's funny is that after the Halloween party, we met a lot more new people that we never knew were there at the time. The only thing I don't like to a certain point, but I understand, is I'm on the west side and they have very little stuff on the west side. Everything is usually up to Scottsdale.

I joined Events & Adventures to meet predominantly friends and women of my own age, and I feel like it's a bit of the older crowd, which I've gotten kind of used to. If I could see some people of my age, that would be awesome. I realized after four events, “That's probably not to be too common, so I'll just make do of what I got.” I started meeting a lot of people and getting along with them even though they're older. In general, for what it was that I was going into, I'm not disappointed at all. Everything is really well coordinated, and I always have a good time or at least try to find a way to during everything. So, the main criticism is just age group-wise, I was led on that there were more people around my age, but that was not true.
I've been a little MIA the past three weeks or so, but usually, I do like some of the little off-calendar events where it's like a hangout in a way. There have been a couple meet-ups at the bowling. I'm going to the one that's coming up at the Silver Ball Arcade in Fort Lauderdale. The members that I'm usually with are awesome. I see them often. Maybe 10 members usually go to the same places that I do. So, I've known them for a year, and I've been very used to them. We all get along well.
The only thing is there were three events where they have those people that come to record and you have to sign a contract on whether or not you wanna be in the video. They need it for their website. I was strongly against it. It was very bothersome because I felt like it was very forced, and they tell you to have fun at whatever the event is. Even people that sign that they don't wanna do anything have to worry about getting caught in the picture, so sometimes they have to step away from someone they're talking to because X person would have to “step away and be part of something.” I don't wanna be told to have fun. I wanna have fun like I'm going out of my way for the day to have fun with other people. Other than that, it's awesome.

There's a certain level of safety that I felt with Events and Adventures because of the vetting process that they go through. And it's not a dating site. It's nothing like that. It's just adults wanting to socialize. So, that was a lot more appealing than anything else. Their signup process was very professional and impressive. I felt that if they went through that with me, they went through that with everybody. And I'm sure they've learned over time the questions to ask, experiences that have come through it, and the different experiences that other people have had good and bad. They've refined their process, and it seemed like they put a lot of thought and effort into it. As for activities, I'm further up north in Northern Arizona and everything they have is down in Phoenix. So, I have to choose around my work schedule. But I'm going down to the ZooLights next Thursday.

I haven't attended that many events in the course of the year because some of the events are very expensive. If it's wine tasting, it’s $150 and usually, I don't spend that much in wine tasting. So to spend $150, it's a little bit too much for my budget. There are some events that they had that I actually was interested. I didn't think about the price at the time, but it seemed to be cool. But then it was right on during the holiday weekend and I was super busy, so I couldn't make it.
When I joined Events and Adventures, there were events in San Jose and things in San Francisco. You can actually search for the events if you select San Jose or San Francisco. But at the time, I didn't realize when the person was explaining that they have where you can search, but it's the same. Whatever you looked on the San Jose on November 1st, November 2nd or November 3rd, it was the same thing for the San Francisco one. So there's only one calendar. It's not two calendars. But the rep that sold me the membership said, “Oh, you're gonna be in two. You're gonna be able to use two calendars.” So, I thought I would have a lot of options. But when I would click on the other calendar, it would be something totally different. It turned out that when you click San Jose, it will include also San Francisco, and then when you click San Francisco, it will include San Jose. So, it's the same calendar.
I saw some vacation from them and when you look at it on the app, it's 1,500. But when you check it out, it's five payments of 1,500. It’s super expensive for something that I can do for a third of the price. My membership is ending now in November and I'm not gonna renew because it's not around my age. I met some people. They're very nice people, but they're not gonna hang out with me because I don't know their person. I wouldn't recommend Events and Adventures. It’s too expensive for what they provide.

I didn't like the quality of the people and the maturity level of the audience. My recruiter told me that, if I go to these other free events that I'm gonna be trash attracts trash, and then tell me what to pay for the membership that there's gonna be higher quality people, and that was totally not the truth on that. I did have a pretty interesting experience at one of the get-togethers, which I've not had something like that before, and it was very rude and made me wanna cancel my membership. And then I just kind of took another week. And then just like I don't feel like I'm not hanging out with quality people. There seems to be a lot of drama and a lot of people that are talking and not being civilized. So, stuff that happens behind, you can just tell. I just don't wanna be hanging around with people like that.

Events & Adventures was presented to me as an alternative to dating sites that ended up not working out. I never found anyone that was really looking for romance. But I figured it's a good way of getting out of the house and if nothing else, it's essentially paying other people to spend time with me when they otherwise wouldn't, plus the prestige of being part of a social club as I think of it. I enjoy the variety and flexibility. I only have to sign up for the events that I want to and there's enough variety that I can usually find multiple things to do each month. I've been a member for about eight months and earlier this week, I went to a dinner at some sort of pizza restaurant. My favorite event so far is a bi-weekly volleyball game that we do and it's a pretty good exercise. It has some sense of regularity, plus no upfront cost.
When I try to sign up for multiple events that have a prepaid cost associated with it, whenever I try to sign up for the second event, their system would give me some sort of error. Maybe it's trying to still process the first payment. But the point is, I have to leave and come back at a later time to be able to sign up for an event that requires payment. And with events sometimes filling up, that can be a problem. So their payment system could use a few tweaks.

I thought the events would be a different set of times but they're all the same. I automatically know it would be a 7:30 or 8:30, or it's the same time frame. I've been doing the morning ones because that is when I could get it in my schedule. I've done the dinners, cards, and dominoes. A lot of them were full, and I found out that even though they were full, I could go ahead and sign up and just be on the wait list. But I didn't care for that procedure because if I don't get a chance to go or they wait until the last minute to tell me, that did wouldn't work out for me to find out an hour ahead before it was time for me to go to the event. That is not enough time, because most of the events that they have on the schedule are 45 to an hour drive from me. To put myself on a wait list is not a good thing for me because I need to know ahead of time.

I'm single and I wasn't planning on ever meeting anybody, and I was told that Events & Adventures was for people who wanted to go out and do things together. Because you just didn't wanna do them by yourself. So, that would be perfect for me. You're on the site because you wanna travel with other people who wanna do the same things, and you're single and you just wanna do that with somebody else. But since then, I've gotten very mixed opinions from members. People think that it's for people who are single and want to meet people to have a relationship with. So, I was very confused with that when I started talking to other members when I would go out on events. They said they were there to meet people to have relationships with them beyond friendship and traveling buddy.
I was excited to find like-minded people who wanna do the same kind of things. It was horseback riding for me and some other things that I wanted to do. You had to go to a welcome introduction event before you could sign up for anything. So, I did that and that was a lot of fun. The girl who used to do the Dallas market was good at how she did some things. It was unfortunate that she started doing something else. But my first impression was good. It was good. But things have changed a lot in the Dallas division. I started learning some of what was going on a little bit. Like, if they're not joining a lot of people in the Dallas market, I know why.
I haven't done a whole lot over the last year mainly because I have a boyfriend that I met outside of Events & Adventures. But I was also told that you can't do activities inside the program if you're in a relationship with someone because it was for singles. So, I've put the activities on hold. So thankfully, I have a lifetime membership. I can put it on pause until if that changes again. In hindsight, knowing all the things that I've seen and know now, I don't know that I would have joined. And not because I'm in a relationship but because I see some inside political stuff.
On a month-to-month basis, the activities in Dallas are not that great anymore and I can see why people aren't signing up for some. But there are some events that the minute that the calendar goes live, all of the spaces for attendance availability are immediately gone. And it's the same people taking up the same things. They have a little clique of people that it’s almost like they have an inside scoop on exactly what they're being told and then, they swoop in and get those fast, which leaves a lot of other people left out. I know that that's going on just from what I hear from other folks too. The biggest disappointment is the biggest event of the year, the New Year's Eve. It is Dallas' biggest event and they do this raffle. If you win it, you get your room for free. You get tickets to go into the event for free for you and one other person. And that's a great thing.
But in Dallas, the same person has won it two years in a row and the person who won it last Christmas wasn't even a member any longer and hadn't been for several months with Events & Adventures. She didn't tell anybody. I know personally the person who won and I can't believe that she would do that ethically and morally. But her thought process is, if E&A wanna give it to her, she’ll just do it and take her fiancé with her. That was very wrong on everybody's part. But if you go on the Facebook page for the Dallas folks, you're gonna see not only her on there but quite a few people who are no longer members. So we're not doing a very good job at monitoring that and making this an exclusive club. It's very sad that I paid a lot of money for an exclusive club and those benefits, and there are people who are still receiving benefits that are not even part of the club.
If we would go on a club night and we were out in an environment where the restaurant and club had a lot of people in there and not just us, if I spoke to somebody that was not in our group, one particular woman that is in our Dallas group that was showing up to a lot of events would say that I’m not supposed to talk to that person. Or I’m not supposed to make contact with anybody outside of our group. I'm there to mingle and have fun with my group, but I should be able to talk to other people too if I want to. I signed up for fun environment so it has become not what I thought it was going to be. If I had to do it all over again and for the money I spent, I probably would not join.
The price was very expensive for what we do in the activities on the calendar, on the month. I did the lifetime membership but I spoke to a lot of people who did the one or two years because that's all they could afford and it was a little bit overpriced. But the person who handles all of the international and big travel events is fabulous. He is very much enthralled in everything and brings all these great adventures out there. He spends so much time planning that stuff and that in itself has been the saving grace for Events & Adventures. He's great at what he does brings it to the table when it comes to those adventures and what the itineraries look like. But there are some opportunities that E&A can work in the Dallas market. I was excited to see that they started one in Atlanta because that's where my home is. So if I ever wanted to transfer back, I would have that option there too.

I've heard about Events & Adventures for years. When I was in a relationship, I never even considered it, but when I became single and got frustrated with online dating, I thought I'd give it a try. I've been now a member since January and I am having the time of my life. I went to a new member meeting just before my first event. I was signed up for the comedy event, but I was a little nervous about going and I ended up canceling. It was very close to my job, and I really regret that I didn't do that. I live in Miami and the parking here is a bare minimum, so whenever I go to an event in Miami, I always look at where it is and the parking situation.
My first event was at strikers, for bowling, and I love bowling because I used to be in a league. The people were so welcoming, and with their members, I felt right at ease from the very beginning. Unfortunately, I have not seen any of the ladies that I bowled with since then and I don't know what happened to them. They were all new members and even though we had exchanged numbers, I haven't seen any of them at any of the events. On the other hand, I've done so many things, including bowling and the nature walks, although I don't like to do those right now. The last time I went to a nature walk, I nearly died because it was so hot.
From January, I was going really strong. I don't do much during the week because I work, and a lot of the events take place in Broward County. Even though I have gone up there during the week, I don't like to because of the traffic, especially leaving my job at coral gables, the 95, I absolutely despise. I like to take the turnpike whenever I have to go up there. I live close to the turnpike, and I like it much better.
I have met some wonderful women and men, and it's enriched my life very much. We have happy hours and I've been on the sunset cruises. The Fourth of July event was amazing, and right now, that event was the best one for me. We went on a tiki cruise, and they had the fireworks on the water. We were able to get in the water, and they had these floats that we could float on. There was dancing, drinking, and plenty of food. As a matter of fact, one of the members that I went with and the guy that she was seeing at the time, we brought food and we didn't even eat it because there was so much food.
I've had such a good time. These people are so great and there's very little drama, thankfully. There's been drama every now and again, which I can't stand, but I'm never a part of it because I am a go-with-the-flow kind of person. I am so comfortable no matter what. I went to a new dinner event in Little Havana, and it was close to my job. That's why I went. It was during the week and there weren't that many people at that event because it had been raining. It was supposed to be 16, and only seven of us showed up, including the host. I only knew one member there because I had seen him at a couple other events.
I'm extroverted, so I'm very easy to approach and talk to. I have no problem talking to people, which is why I've gotten so much out of this group. The people are so wonderful. Events & Adventures has a Halloween bash coming up and I'm looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to the event for new year's eve. I have nothing but great and positive things to say about this club. The relationships that I've developed, especially with the women, have been priceless. We do things even outside of the club because we've gotten so close.
I have not been unhappy with this at all. I don't even mind the driving, I don't like to go to palm beach. I have done it, and that's a little too far, but I don't mind driving around Broward County. I also have another member that we have become very close, and we tend to carpool to the events together. It's been an amazing experience and I've been telling people all the same thing. They can see how happy I am. My family is so happy that I have found something aside from being in a relationship. Because I have been in serious relationships. I've been married three times. My last relationship was eight years and we almost got married, but I'm enjoying being single. I'm not in any hurry to be in a relationship.
I signed up for two years, so my membership doesn't end until January of 2026. If I didn't have E & A, I might be depressed because the online dating situation is awful. I'm still dating, but I have not found anyone serious. I'm not looking for serious as well. I didn't join this club to meet a man. It was to get my lazy self off my couch and get out there. My few girlfriends that I have, they were never available. With Events & Adventures, one of the things I love about it is it's already planned. I just show up.

I was supposed to go to a Wind Down Night, and it was canceled shortly before. Apparently, there was some confusion. For the Rage Room, they gave us the wrong time, so we were all very late.
The South Florida chapter has undergone a lot of transitions. For the price, I haven't met anyone that might be a long term friend. If you manage your expectations, Events & Adventures could be a great way to learn a new city and possibly make some friends. Yes, they prescreen people. But, it's only to see if they have a criminal record. They don't look at anything else.
When I went to my first event there were about 25 guys there and one woman. I knew I had been scammed right away. I called the next day begging and pleading with them to let me out of my $3000+ contract. They refused. Looking back now I realize that good looking people who have their act together don't need clubs like this to meet people. ALSO, DON'T BELIEVE THE FAKE 5-STAR REVIEWS ON HERE WITH A PHOTO OF A GOOD LOOKING GUY OR GIRL NEXT TO IT. They are fake. The one good thing I was able to do was to contact the radio station I heard the ad on and get them to stop playing the ads on their station. I felt confident enough to do the lifetime because they've been in business since the '80s. I was impressed with that. So far, I am enjoying it very much. I did a sunset beach party, which was awesome. We live by the beach here. So, I did a sunset beach party by the Theater of the Stars. They had live music. They had all these restaurants nearby. We hung out at the beach and they're all so nice people. Somebody bought a bunch of beers and like, "You want a beer? Grab one." "You want a piece of pizza? Grab one." They bought three boxes. Everybody is super friendly. It is a social club.
The second event I went to, which was a rooftop club on the beach, also was great. Everybody's super friendly. They just wanna have a good time and make new friends. They're all quality people. Most of them are college-educated or career people, and have higher level of jobs and education. I met a girl on one of the third things I did. She's from England. Her name is Emma. She's an acupuncturist with a Master's in Holistic Medicine. These are quality people. So, I did some side events with her. They're called off-calendar events. We became friends. She showed me where she goes when she wants to go out on Sunday night or Friday night. We go to the Norton Museum or we play bingo at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. I've been having a good time with this club.
They're full of ideas. The calendar is jam-packed with stuff. There's almost something every day. Sometimes there's a conflict. There's a couple of things on each day. So I am very excited about it. And every month, on the 15th, they drop the calendar. There's only 10 openings. They restrict it. So, you have to sign up quickly. So, there are certain things to learn once you're involved to make sure you get in. I was shot out of horseback riding and I was on a waitlist. And luckily, the day before, somebody canceled. Their loss is my gain. So there's things to learn. The most negative thing is it's not cheap. It's expensive. That's the only bummer. But you pay for what you get.

My first event with Events & Adventures was an outdoor game night at a lakefront park. There were lots of different games then the group retreated back to a nearby bar restaurant and had some food and drinks. I was nervous about meeting new people, but there were several people that welcomed me into the group on that first night, and it was a very positive experience. I enjoyed the evening.
The more events you go to and the more you see the same faces, the more you develop those connections, friendships and relationships, and that happened. I've been in the group for about six years now and I've enjoyed it. It's nice to have access to a social calendar that our coordinator develops and schedules. It's nice to go to the calendar and sign up for stuff on a certain day. It's a really convenient, easy way to get out and meet people. If you're an introvert and you want to be extroverted, this is the kind of group that can help bring you out of your shell. If you are naturally an extrovert and you're stuck at home and don't know where to go, this is a great group for you to engage and meet other people. There are lots of people that have met through the group and become best friends outside the group.
I've gone to over 300 events and I like a lot of the simple stuff like going to a local bar restaurant and playing bingo or doing karaoke, playing a lot of the outdoor game (horseshoes, bocce ball, croquet) and some of the cook-outs and dinners. It's a great way to try new restaurants in the area, whether it's an upper scale restaurant or just a new burger joint in a strip mall.
Events & Adventures could do a better job of making sure new members understand the financial impact. They’re sold on the fun, meeting new people and trying new things. That overshadows the more practical financial part of it. It's an expensive investment into your social network but you get out of it what you put into it. I've seen so many members that you meet for the first time and you might see them at one or two events then you never see them again.
When new people are looking to sign up for the group, a lot of them don't take into consideration their own busy schedule and the additional cost of many of the events that are scheduled throughout the month. There are a lot of free ones but sometimes, a dinner might cost 50 bucks. On top of the monthly fees or the initial membership fee to get into the group, I don't think a lot of people realize that then they kind of get nickel and dimed with a lot of the events they sign up for. For a lot of people, it can be a pinch to the finances.

I was a little nervous at my first event but after I arrived, I wasn’t anymore. I’ve been to eight events and I liked the roller skating. The people with Events & Adventures said the activity was from 8:00 to 10:00 and at 10:00 they were out. But the roller skating was still happening until 11:00 or 12:00. I would have liked to stay longer. One person stayed with me but didn't rollerskate. There's one gal, Lucy, who is very outgoing and I could see myself being friends and closer to her if I went to more events because she's very welcoming. She's got a great personality. She'll talk to you and introduce you around. But a lot of people are like me where they're just shy and don't know what to talk to you about because you're a stranger. The groups that go camping overnight and the actual events together probably have better camaraderie.
Amy was the person who helped sign me up and she was great. But I just go to little events as they sound fun to do and because I don't have a lot of time. There could be more of a tiered program because what I paid for my membership is a little overpriced along with what I'm paying in addition to the activities that we do, especially for someone like me who's just going to a handful of events and not every single one. I paid for two years upfront and I still have to pay for the event sometimes. Sometimes the event is free, like kickball. But in the roller skating event, I still paid to get into the venue and go roller skating.
Some of their activities seem like they're on repeat and they've done it before. Maybe Amy has to plot it on the calendar but she's not seeking out an event to present to the group. Like the glow-in-the-dark kickball where somebody at some point bought the kit and they did it. And now, they're doing it again and again. That’s hard to know upfront unless you're going to the events. The schedules come out two weeks in advance of the month.

A friend of mine mentioned Events & Adventures to me and then, I looked it up online. I was apprehensive, had doubts, and was shy before I arrived at my first event because I didn’t know anybody there. But I was open to experiencing new places and meeting new people and friends. Once I was there, they were welcoming and the host made sure that I was well attended to or she was answering my questions. It was comfortable right away. I attend an average of two events a week and my favorite is pickleball. I'm planning to join an E&A international trip soon. I am looking forward to that. The next one is in Thailand but I'm going to Bangkok outside of E&A.
It's been a positive experience. If people want to experience new places and do new events they haven’t done before, be it in sports, mystery dinners, escape rooms, pickleball, Whirlyball, a grape stomping activity, or things they haven’t experienced before, it's something you wouldn’t think of going to when you're not part of the group, but since it's available at E&A, they should go, although you have to pay a fee.

Events & Adventures is a great place to know the area and meet people. I'm not from this area, and I want a better network for myself, knowing people around. Most of the ladies that are with Events & Adventures are secure and very good on their business. It's perfect because I'm not there for matching somebody. I'm there to find ladies that I can work later on and have fun with.
I love doing volleyball since I was young so I went to a volleyball event. I'm also going to another volleyball event tomorrow. I attended one trip where we went five hours away from here for a holiday weekend. But I didn't like it at all. I like camping but I'd prefer something with more sports activities than people just getting drunk. There were people there that stayed all night long partying and you could hear it really loudly. I also find Events & Adventures pricey. Somebody has to search for places but after joining Events & Adventures, I have found several other groups that are completely free on Facebook, and they do the same thing.

I've been an Events & Adventures member for a very short time. My first event was bowling and I had the first time jitters. The people that knew how to bowl were helpful and gave me pointers on getting my game back on. Everybody was at different levels, so it made the event really entertaining. My second event was an adult painting class and the people that were putting it on had set the studio up for kids. So he had the small table and the chairs, and it was like you were walking back in a first grade classroom. They told us what we could do and how we could do it. They said, “Well, we got this room in the back that you guys can get really creative.” They had these rubber balls with the spikes on them and we filled those full of paint and played hot potato with them. So the whole night was pretty fun. After it ended, we went over to a restaurant, all covered in paint.
The person that I first spoke to about Events & Adventures was very colorful. I had a really nice discussion with her. She was easy to talk to. She did a great job. Everybody has been real polite, so I've enjoyed it. The prices were a little bit higher, but they offer a lot more activities. If you do an online type dating service, you're just looking at pictures and trying to meet people. But with Events & Adventures, they have a staff to pick out activities for people to do and set them up. The events have not been costly out of proportion as far as going out for dinner or doing something. It's pretty much in a standard price range and they also offer overseas vacations which would interest me down the line once I get more familiar with the group.

The interview was good. I'm new and I've only attended a couple of events, so far. September has a lot going on, but so does my work. But lots of interesting things are coming up. It does seem like it's geared towards a younger crowd. I'm 58. It seems to be a lot of drinking, which isn't for me. And the pricing was shocking simply because Events & Adventures does not advertise how much. I'm sure they do a percentage of your income. Had I known that, I would have lied about my income. $200 a month is expensive. The amount threw me off, but I'm also not from America. So, it was an opportunity for me to meet people and build friendships and relationships.
There was another couple that was part of Events & Adventures a few years back and they said the same thing. Because the first night that I went there, there was a young man there that was unemployed, and I thought, "You sold this to me telling me that it was filled with professionals." So, I feel like I'm wasting my money because I'm not attending anything. Other than that, the events were well-organized. And what I see advertised, they look like a lot of fun.

My first event with Events & Adventures went real well. It was back downtown Houston and parking was a little bit crazy, but it was easy to find. I walked in and felt welcome right off the bat. Since June, I've been to 12 events and I like the larger gatherings like the 4th of July event. Most of the time, we have a good gathering and I've made a couple friends. I just asked a girl out on a date Wednesday night, so we got a date planned for next Friday. I also got my first trip scheduled in November. It's a Danube River trip which is a four-day on a river cruise plus we'll be adventuring Germany, Hungary, and Austria. I'm excited. I just wish they have an app.

I joined E&A in 2022. I wanted to get out of the house, make new friends and have things to do. It sounded interesting that there were events every day. I had a screening interview then signed up with them. I initially did a two-year contract then I became a lifetime member. With the very first event I went to, I was thinking what’d I just pay for. But then I went to a volleyball event and met a fantastic group of people. During the first year or two, I was going to two to four events a week. But nowadays, I almost never go. If there's a volleyball event, I'll go. But that's it. E&A does a Labor Day weekend camping trip, and I'm going with a bunch of friends I met through E&A. We're doing our own thing. That's why I don't go to events anymore. I see the people that I have liked, that I've bonded with and friends with for years now through E&A. I love that.
E&A has served its purpose for me. But there hasn't been anyone new in the group that has joined that has been someone to mesh with. When you do the first screening interview, it's like there's this very social, outgoing person that's easy to talk to. You would think there's a screening process, so you gotta be able to have a conversation and not be weird and uncomfortable. I volunteered as a host for a while ‘cause I have no problem walking up to someone new and say, “Hi. Who are you? Where are you from,” and getting to know people. But in the last year or so, they've had less of a draw. I feel they're just letting anybody in. I don't understand why there’s a screening interview because I don't think they say no to anyone. There are people with no social awareness or comfortability. If you join a single group, you need to be able to get to know people and share interests.

I liken Events and Adventures to a timeshare scam, where high pressure sales tactics preying on on those in search of social adventure or love. They suck you in on an overpriced and over hyped social experience, and give you 3 days to cancel without penalty. Should a person fail to do adequate research or even have an opportunity to attend an event, there is no refund of fees. They ensure you are legally bound to their scam by have a person docusign their contract either over the phone or within hours of the high pressure sales technique. Shame on me for not reading their fine print, but like I said.... Timeshare scam with a different mask.
Why do I want to cancel? Simple... Every event on their calendar is over an hour drive away. "Event Host" get to go events free of charge in most cases, while everyone else has to pay a fee. They require you to be in their marketing photos so they can use you to grow their scam. In short, I am stuck with a loss of over $2k with nothing to show for, but you don't have to be. There is no try before you buy with this scam... They make you go all in or simply stay out. So make sure you READ every little thing before you sign, because there is no refund at all after 3 days.

I reached out to see what it was about and Rachel signed me up. I thought it was a great idea. She had all the answers to all the questions I had and she was not pushy. She was trying her best to vet me to see if I was a good fit for the club, which is pretty cool. That just goes to show how selective they are when it comes to their members. My first event was a comedy show in Oakland and that was cool. Although, I felt very anxious and I don't think that changed as the evening went on because it was a comedy show and for some reason, when the comedians had nothing to say, they wanted to talk to me. The anxiety didn't really go away because it felt like the spotlight was on me all night.
I've been to about six events now and my favorite one, where everything went well, was the bowling in San Jose. I've also gone on to hops and dinner and it was supposed to be a dinner event. But when we got there, it took forever to get our drink and then it took even longer for us to get our food. I don't even think that they gave us our food. But the event coordinators was very professional. She was like, "This kind of sucks." And one of the members said there was a billiard spot around the corner if we wanted to go and she was like, "All right, cool. Let's go play billiards." That was what we did for the rest of the night, billiards and a burger. They have a pretty cool staff. If you're expecting just to have fun, Events & Adventures is a great thing -- especially for introverts, because I don't really get out. It's hard for me to say hello and it really helps when you're forced to say hello to people in order to get something done.

Events & Adventures offers opportunities to interact with other people throughout the DFW metroplex because there are always events in different areas. It's a way to see and do some new things that people may not have done previously and interact with some people doing the same. Participants are not gonna do the activities by themselves.
I've only been to one event, which was an outdoor kind of hiking event up in Plano. It was a good opportunity to hike in an area and meet some folks, and on the event, it said it was dog-friendly, so I thought, “Oh, sure. I'll bring Roxy.” This was just people getting together and going hiking. It's casual, and I would definitely do this again. There were about 20 people, and a couple of them had their dogs as well. I had good interactions with some new people, and they told me some of the other events that they regularly attend. I plan on following through on some of them. Candidly, the only reason I haven’t done other stuff is I’ve been tied up the last couple of months. I had some other stuff scheduled, then we had a big power outage in Dallas, so that was problematic.

I did, and I went at that one too. I love people, so it's nice to be able to get out and see some other people. I have a bad shoulder so I couldn't play volleyball. But I got to meet some folks and didn't feel any pressure to play volleyball. When I signed up they said, “You could sign up anyway.” Because there was a lot of people who don't play and just socialize. There was one other person who didn't play, but it didn't matter because it was nice to meet some of the other folks.
I also did WhirlyBall, and I didn't have 4th of July plans, so I did the 4th of July. It's a lake kind of pontoon boat, and I always wanted to do it, but I never had the opportunity, so I was, “This is perfect!” I went ahead and I did it. And the other people were nice. There was one weirdo on the boat and was funny. He put his chair right in the middle of the boat, in the top level. I was going to do a trip with Events & Adventures and my experience with that was not pleasant because I went on the website, signed up for it, and realized within 24 hours that I was double-booked and could not reschedule my other events because it was for my children. I called the accounting office immediately and asked if I could get a refund for it because I made a mistake and I never got the refund. They told me I was supposed to get one and I never received it. I didn't realize I didn't get it until much later but I was done dealing with that. It was kind of a pain to begin with to try to get that refund because I know someone else had taken my spot. My experience with accounting has been quite poor.
Other than that, the other events I've been to have been relatively decent. In my first six months, I went to at least one or two a week because I made time for that so I could get myself back out there. Then, I kind of pulled back because I have less time. Also, I've had a couple of experiences where I was the only female and that was very uncomfortable. It was a naughty crosswords event and I reached out to the host to say I was going to be a little bit late. I was not given a warning that there weren't any females there at that time and the host knew who I am. When I got there, I was like, "You know, that's not cool." Thankfully, I brought a friend with me who I was comfortable with, but I really didn't wanna participate in some respects just because of the nature of the event itself.
But I love the hiking events. Every time I've gone, everyone's been super nice. I've been a host for one of them as well. Doing the hiking was one of the things that kept me at Events & Adventures and the brunches, too. I love doing the brunches. I would love to have more yoga, biking, and skiing events that aren't on just the Epic Pass -- stuff outside just drinking because I'd rather be able to hang out with people and get to know them better than have to sit there and drink around them.

The second one was at a restaurant, and it was a young person who was the hostess. We were already two hours there, and we still hadn't gotten our food. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and it still took forever to get our food. It took 30 minutes to wait on cocktails.
The way that it should have happened is that the hostess should have gone to the manager and said, “Listen, this is going on a little too long. We're having to work too hard to get our cocktails or dinner.” I finally said, “Either cancel my dinner or put it in a to-go box and I gotta go now.” This was at 9:30, and I live 30 minutes away. Overall, my experience has not been good. It's all young people. I thought it would be people more my age, but it's not. I got some really good advice at a 4th of July party from a former Events and Adventures member who married out. She told me, "Pick an event that has a mingle and start going to it every single week," and that changed everything because I started getting to know people. Part of the struggle is that everybody signs up for different events. It's the cool part because you get to see different people all the time. But it's also part of the struggle because you're constantly meeting new people. The mingles are something I wish Events and Adventures would do more of.
I've talked to Nate, our coordinator, and I said, "It would be cool if you added mingles onto more events." He already does at least two a month with the mingles. So, it was not like they weren't happening, but I told him that it would really amp up people attending if there were more planned mingles. His response was, "Well, you can just go show up and hang out." Well, not really. So, it's a balance.
We did something called dysfunctional family dinner. I was one of the oldest people in the group. I'm in my 60s. We were playing characters and Nate wrote me as this grandma but I said, "I'm not gonna be a grandma." But I really had fun with it. Everyone who was there is still talking about it and it happened a month ago. It was an awesome event. I've kind of started to connect with some of the women in the group. I got invited to someone's birthday celebration. I was glad. There were about six other Events and Adventures people at her party. That was my first time doing something outside of Events and Adventures. It was lovely.
I was talking with a gal who joined around the same time as me and we both, at the same time, blurted out, "I'm having so much fun." So we're really enjoying it. I love this group because I'm going out with people who want to be there. They signed up to go and they want to be there. So they're not mopy. They're not trying to leave early. Also, everyone is there to meet people. So when you go out with your friend, it's just you and your friend talking at a table and everyone else at the venue is there talking to their friend. But when you go with Events and Adventures, you end up with anywhere from 5 to 15 people at that venue and you're walking around saying, "Hey Joe. Yay." It could be more than just that one person to be with when you're out doing something, like dinner or even just BINGO. It's nice to have that group. So that's been a lot of fun.

The very first one I went to was probably the most gender-balanced event. There was a good mix of men and women. I recently went country line dancing and that was a lot of fun. I have met a lot of nice people. I've made a few friends that I've seen outside of E & A.
This here in Atlanta is a new chapter. They established this particular chapter a year ago. So it still has been growing and they have been adding new events all the time. So, from the time that I joined to now that there have been a lot more events on the calendar these days. I don't tend to go to events that are on the other side of Atlanta for me. But they make an effort to have events in different parts so I don't have to drive an hour to venture out.

My latest events with Events & Adventures was the Fourth of July summer bash and I did the planetarium thing last Sunday. We're signing up for Labor Day Galveston trip in September and I'm on the wait list for Medieval Times this Saturday. I like my experience. It's been good. I met my girlfriend through Events & Adventures. So, it's been nice.

Events & Adventures is a great way to meet new friends and do a lot of activities that somebody else sets up. There's no pressure to do anything, but it's always available. I'm into my fourth year with them and I've gone to more than 50 events. I've done rock climbing, kayaking, several types of restaurants, wine tasting, volleyball, bocce ball, miniature golf, and hikes. I went to see the Japanese Gardens. We also did a trip down to St. Augustine, Florida which has been the best event I've done with Events & Adventures. It was several days that we were there and we got to do a lot of sightseeing, hanging out with friends and learning about that particular city. I like architecture and it's an old place that has neat architecture.

The interview was interesting. It was like an exclusive club. That was cool. They were real helpful, very informative and able to answer all my questions. I've done three events with Events and Adventures, and two of the events that I went to were a lot of fun. I had a good time and there were good people in my age group and what I would consider my circle of people to hang out. One of the other events was outside of my normal region. It was fun, but I didn't meet anybody in that area that I wanna hang out with. With my work schedule, it was hard to get to the ones that I wanted to get to. Also, I ended up getting into a serious relationship shortly after joining and since it was more of a single deal, I haven't participated ever since I got in that relationship. It's supposed to be a two-year contract, but it'd be cool if I can get out of it.

My first event with E&A was a really fun event. We went to WhirlyBall and I got to know enough people that I knew that it would be a good group to get to know more. I try to do one event a week. The Memorial Day camping trip was awesome. We also did this challenge activity place where we played archery tag and a ropes course. There's also a virtual scavenger hunt with your app that you're walking around downtown, finding different clues. The Cidercade has been great as well and the murder mystery dinner was so cute. I wasn't able to go to wake boarding, but I would have really liked that one.
The website is terrible though. It's 2024. The website looks like it was created in 2009 and not updated. It needs to be a lot easier to interface and understand. Sign-up and cancellation could be so much simpler. Seeing your sign-up and statement financially, you have to track down the information in two different places to see where your event credits and credit card statements are. That could be consolidated. It could be made into an app rather than just a website. The prices is a little high too. I'm paying dues every month and I'm also paying for the event. But I understand why and see the value. Belle is our local E&A coordinator in Dallas, and she works really hard to make it what it is.
The marketing angle using an answer to loneliness, reaching community and building friendships has been the best part about E&A. Marketing it that way would be a very smart idea. A lot more people would be inclined to jump in because we're looking for friendships and belonging. But it doesn't seem to be advertised that way. It seems like it's heavily advertised as a dating avenue. I have met people that I am dating or have wanted to date but more than that, it's having community to hang out with. Getting to know people in the same season of life has been valuable. I'm in the elder millennial category and the statistics on loneliness as an epidemic are staggering.

Events & Adventures is straightforward and easy to use. I like the 6th of July event. It was a pool party with camping and grilling food and a bonfire later on. It was great. There's also a D&D event and a karaoke event that are upcoming. There are so many new and different experiences that they offer and it's an open environment to meet new people. I've made a bunch of good friends.

I didn't have a good experience with Events & Adventures. The people aren't very friendly. It's very cliquey. I went to five events, and it wasn't very welcoming. I'm easy to get along with, but I felt uncomfortable. I talked to other people too and they said that's how it is. There are little groups within it. I stopped going and reached out to the person to try to get a refund. That's how disappointed I was with it. But they don't do that after three days.

I joined in 2007 right after my divorce because all my friends were single and I was tired of being a fifth wheel. It seemed like a lot of money when I first joined, but it's been worth every penny. It was the best thing I've ever done. I've made all my best friends in E&A. I've also dated guys over the years, and I've been to foreign countries. I've done things I never would have imagined. It's all been great.
I do several things a month. We did Frisco RoughRiders and the Lazy River, which was always a lot of fun. We do dance events, and we're doing a wine tasting next Tuesday. The last thing I did was a Korean barbecue dinner, and that was fun. The last trip I took with E&A was in April of last year, which was the Galapagos Island. It has always been a dream of mine 'cause I have a degree in biology and the whole Darwin thing and animals. I loved it. However, my favorite trip with them was right before the pandemic. We went to Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti. It was almost three weeks long, and the trip was amazing.

I'm very satisfied with Events & Adventures. The most recent event I went to was volleyball night. We played sand volleyball, and had a couple of beers. Everybody was friendly. I definitely recommend Events & Adventures to my friends, but some of them don't fit the qualification. The cost is a bit pricey for what it is. I haven't been using it as much as I should be. I got a trip coming up that I probably need to go to. When you get to be an adult, you forget to remind yourself that you need to take a vacation every now and then.

Going to Events & Adventures was a different way to meet people, so I figured I’d check it out. On my first event, I was a little nervous. I wasn't sure exactly how things were structured or where to find people. We had the host person change at the last minute. So, I was trying to contact the host and they weren't there. So, that first event was a little different, and there were only three of us in total. The initial videos I saw on YouTube didn't really get across the complete structure of how everything works in terms of the monthly subscription cost. I've been to more than a dozen events and recently, I went to a movie in the park, a brunch, an Arcade night, and to a board game night. There are a few people I’ve kept in contact with. I do feel like with the events, attendance is up and down. Overall, I'm generally happy with everything. It's a little on the expensive side, but for the most part, I've had a good experience, so I'm not bothered by it.

I liked the event where we rented a boat for an hour and a half and went out in the water. That was fun. But I don't like the variety of ages in the club. Events & Adventures only have an event once a month for people over 40. I drive an hour on a weekday or more to get to an event in the state and it could be all people 20 years younger than me. A lot of time to travel there, do the event, the cost of the event, and then to come home. It's like a four to five-hour commitment. I don't even know in advance if there's anyone my age going. I've only been to about 10 events over the last year. It was not even once a month. So I'm definitely not getting my money's worth in the membership. But maybe I haven't given it enough of a try.
There's been a couple of events that were changed at the last minute because they had the wrong location. There was one that I was supposed to go to in Burlington. But then they found out there was a conflict and they moved it into the city into Boston. So I didn't go. There was another event that they planned and didn't realize that there was another conflict.
One of them was at a sushi bar where they cook the food in front of you. They have like a horseshoe shaped table and then the chef comes in and makes the food. We had our own private table, but it was just not in an environment that was conducive to meeting people for the first time or carrying on a conversation. So literally, one whole leg of the table just sat there for the whole entire dinner and didn't even speak to the person next to them. They didn't communicate at all. It was a ton of money and I'm just not using it. I have buyer's remorse about it. I'm hearing about members who are getting offered lifetime memberships for pennies of what I paid for a year. But even if they offered me a lifetime membership at a third of the price of what I paid for a year, I wouldn't even do it.

I've been a member since 2008 when the East Coast was previously owned by somebody else. There were a lot of very angry people from that group and the current group gave us a good deal but didn't necessarily give us our lifetime membership back. We had to pay for it again and it's ridiculously expensive, but that's okay. I re-signed up in '21 and I've been on four trips since. Also, it's nice because there's an app called GroupMe, so you have somebody reach out to if you're lost or if you don't know anybody. I've made some really great friends through Events & Adventures, my friends from the first time I was signed up are still my lifelong friends.
My favorite was the Iceland trip. We have a national director of travel who organizes the trips and anybody from any chapter can sign up. I went in February of '22 and there was three feet of snow and it was fabulous. I'm from Boston so I like snow. Then, they just did Easter Island for the first time and there were a few things that I would recommend we do differently. But if you go on a package tour, the itinerary is already set and on that kind of trip, if everybody in the group wants to do something different, you're doing that different thing. But this can be tailored on the fly to what the group wants to do. For instance, when I went to South Africa and I didn't wanna go to the winery, I went shark cage diving.

I joined Events & Adventures in March and I’ve joined probably seven events and I’m disappointed. I talked to two different salespeople and I asked specifically what the size of the Atlanta group was and I was given two different numbers by each individual. One said around 1,000 members and the other one said it was between 600 to 700 members. The reality is, it’s more like 200 members. I had concerns about the sizes that I was quoted by the two salespeople because this is a big metro area with millions of people and even 1,000 people were rather small. In almost every event that I go to, I'm seeing the same people over and over again. There are not very many new people. The club was misrepresented to me by the sales personnel and I was even thinking about calling to have my membership frozen because you can freeze it for six months and maybe wait and see if it grows. But it has not been what I hoped it would be.
The other members are friendly and nice. I’ve enjoyed the people that I have met but I was hoping to meet more new people than I have. I was okay with the cost at first when I had a certain level of expectation about it. But now, I’m wasting my money because I haven't been to anything probably for a couple of months. Also, the website is horrific and antiquated. E&A needs an app and they need to update their technology.

Events & Adventures doesn't do enough older people events. There is one dinner a month for older people. There are not enough people my age. I'm not thrilled with it. It would be great if they would at least have an over 40 two times a month. For instance, the girl who runs the Atlanta thing is young, so I get it. But most of the events are younger things. She would have kickball every month. Nobody my age is would run out playing kickball. The last event was the best one I attended, and it was a hike. That was probably the only event that there might have been equal guys and girls. I bet there were two guys that are my age. I was still older than they were. But at least they were in their late 40s.
I feel like I was snowed. I didn't want to join somewhere where I would be with a bunch of 30-year-olds. Also, I didn't want to be with a bunch of girls. I got plenty of girl friends. I'd like to meet other guys. Any event I've been to, there was at least 70% women, and 30% men. And sometimes the percentage is worse. Sometimes it's 90% women. I've had two people so far ask me about it. I told them, "Don't waste your money." Because that's how I feel. My dad was, "Why don't you ask for your money back or at least half of it?" Because I paid up front. I said, "They're not gonna give me that back." I'm not gonna ask. I just keep hoping that more people would hear about it and join within the two years that I already paid for. But I don't know if that will happen.

After looking at the website of Events & Adventures, I found their phone number and I called them. The automated system said to go to their website and apply to speak to somebody and make an appointment. I went back to the website, made an appointment and the rep called me an hour later for my appointment time, which was awesome. An hour-long interview was done, going through my background check, credit check and verification. Then, there were a couple of interview questions to make sure that I matched personality-wise to the group. It was an easy process, the website was user-friendly and the person I talked to was easy-going.
If you don't have stable employment or if your background check doesn't clear, Events & Adventures is not gonna allow you in. They ask you questions around that, which makes it about an hour-long process, so it is more strenuous or thorough than other processes. But that's the thing I was looking for. It was just a little bit more of a secure social site. It so happened that there was an event on the same day that I signed up. It was a new member icebreaker and they sent me an email that gave me all the instructions on how to get there, exactly who to talk to, what to expect and what to wear. So, I was just typically nervous before going to any event but they helped calm that down a little bit, which is nice. I've been a part of this since November and I go to about five events every week. So far, my favorite is either horseback riding or the zip line adventure.
I joined to have more people to hang out with and more friends, and more things to do on a daily basis. So I'm not looking to meet someone romantically but it’s more socialization and not having to plan them myself. Also, having people who are within the same social class as me to hang out with. Pretty much all of my friends prior to this were in rave community and EDM, and they were a bit younger. But I don't do any of that stuff anymore so I was looking for a bit of an older social group.

Be aware that Events & Adventures is a scam! They use high-pressure sales tactics to push you into signing up for their service. During a video call, they misrepresent what they offer and gather all your personal data and information. Before you realize what's happening, you are on the hook for over $2000. The experience begins with a sales pitch that makes the service sound appealing and exclusive. However, the reality is far different from what is promised. Once they have your information, they quickly lock you into a costly contract. Many customers have reported feeling misled and trapped by the aggressive sales approach and the deceptive practices used by Events & Adventures.
Not only do they fail to deliver on their promises, but they also make it difficult to cancel or get a refund. The company's lack of transparency and dishonest methods have left many feeling frustrated and scammed. If you come across Events & Adventures, proceed with extreme caution or, better yet, avoid them altogether. Save yourself the time, money, and stress of dealing with a company that prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction.

I signed up with Events & Adventure during the week. I just went on their website to see what they had going on for that month. I was on vacation that next week. So, I attended five different events. The first event was a pizza place in Atlanta. There was just a few people there, but I didn't really know who I was looking for. I just ended up hanging out at the bar with a gentleman. I was on my own on that one. It wasn't until the second event that I met Grayson. She's the coordinator. So then, at least, I had a face.
Everybody's friendly. The second event was Dave & Buster's in Marietta. There were several people. Grayson sent out a text. So, I knew who I was looking for and then they were at the entrance. So, it was a lot easier that time because then I got introduced. Out of those five that I did, the first week, I had fun downtown hanging out with everybody at this Mexican restaurant. It was a crazy rainstorm, and we got a big old table and everybody was hanging out. The most recent is we did a trip up to Fort Payne, Alabama. We stayed at a resort that had a main house and three cabins. So, we had the whole place to ourselves. We went kayaking. What I've enjoyed the most so far is going kayaking with everybody.
There are about 200 people, but there's 15 people that are very consistent. I kind of went into it with more of looking for somebody. Then I've made friends out of this. So, that's positive but you will feel bad with some the quality of some of the people that they've brought in. There was a girl that came in in a wheelchair, and that's a tough one. It's not like they can keep her out, but I don't know what she can participate in. I felt really bad for her. She was severely handicapped.
There's a whole bunch of groups throughout the United States that are established. So, they do have trips all over the world that you can be a part of and that usually includes everybody throughout the United States. So you would definitely meet people from all over the world Most of what I've seen so far have been IT type people. They're very smart. I've met a lot of really nice people, and I have had fun with all of them. As far as finding a significant other, that's why they call it Events & Adventures. They don't call it events, adventures and love.
Overall, the program is a good concept. It is growing. I don't think the price was unreasonable. I did a two-year, and I paid it in full and it was about 2,250. It costs to do stuff like this. They have a full-time person plus other staff. It's just they need an app. They do not have an app yet. There are people in that group that could design an app. Everybody is in the same boat on that. Everybody's like, "They need an app." We just have a website and it's tough to navigate. It's archaic. We're in 2024. They should have an app. Other than that, I hope the Events & Adventures keeps growing.

I was a little bit nervous but more excited on my first event because all the things that Events & Adventures offered were exactly what I was looking for. It went very well and was a lot smoother than I even anticipated. Everybody in the group that I'm involved in is very friendly so it wasn't like I was stuck up in the corner. The activities are meant for you to all be doing things together and getting to know people. Events & Adventures make the environment very easy. If the host is in the event, they'll have a sign set up and the host is always there to answer any questions. I joined in March and I’ve been to seven events. My favorite is probably the one where we were doing the tree-top adventures and the ropes and zipline. But I've enjoyed every single one of them and there's not one of them that I wish I hadn't come to.
When Events & Adventures posts the events each month on the 15th, they open up the next month for you to sign up. They give a very good description of where it's at and what you're gonna be doing. So, you know what to expect before you get there. I did their Memorial Day weekend trip and I also want to do a trip in December to Thailand with them. I've been struggling with the link. I've been trying on my phone so I need to try on my computer to see if it’s the same thing. I talked to others and they're not having any problems.
I wasn't sure how often people join but it seems like in every event, there are new people that I'm meeting that have just joined. And you also have people who have been there for 10 years and they're just enjoying the group. If they find someone, great. But it's not their priority, which is my stance as well. It's mainly to get me out of the house and learn more about the Dallas area, things that I probably wouldn't even know existed had it not been for this group. One of the things that I found out that they offer was a mosaic class that I went to. I enjoyed it. Married people can't go to the group, but we could do it outside the group. So I'm finding activities to do with my friends outside of the group.
When I joined, it was March 8th so the March calendar has already been out since the 15th of February, and a lot of things were booked up that I would have liked to have done. The reps encourage you to sign up even if the calendar is full because people drop out at the last minute. And Events & Adventures put the new members as top priority over the others. So that makes it nice because it could be very disappointing if you joined and you gotta wait a whole month before you can sign up for something. There are new member meetups too to answer any questions and let the new members meet each other and have opportunities to meet the host and ask questions as well.
On my Memorial Day weekend, I realized that there are some events where there was gonna be a lot of drinking or alcohol involved. And I don't wanna be in that big of a group. Some people drink more than others and since I don't usually get into crowds like that, it's one of the learning curves. So I'm mindful of the events. Everybody had said it was gonna be a fun event and it was. I enjoyed it. At night, when things started to get a little loose, I would just go to my room. So it wasn't a deal breaker. It depends on your personality. If you are one of those who love to party, then you will never be disappointed. You should go to the big groups.
I won't be going to the Fourth of July group after my Memorial Day weekend deal. It is not my jam. There's a very big mixture of people so anybody can fit in. But I don't like to hang around a bunch of people who drink because I grew up in an alcoholic home where there was a lot of drinking. I'm very fearful of fights breaking out. Events like that make me uncomfortable.
The website is very easy to understand. You could get in there and figure it out without anybody telling you anything. You don't have to do a lot of clicking to get where you wanna go. If you see an event, you click on it and it tells you about it. Then you click on sign up and it takes you to the page. And you sign up and pay. So it's simple to sign up for the event. Some of the things that people didn't know about is that on your phone, you can pull up your calendar that tells you just the events that you've signed up for. But it doesn't do that on the desktop. It doesn't have the little person that I can click on that shows just my events. But so far, it's easy because when you're going through the calendar, it'll show you whether you've signed up for an event or not. So even without that little feature, you would still know which ones you’ve signed up for.
For some, the price might seem a little expensive. But for all of us who have joined, it's worth the price. There is something to do every single day of the week. Somebody has planned it all out for you and you don't even have to think about it. I love that aspect of it. And even on the trips, you have your travel agent doing everything for you because the meals and everything are included in it. If they tell you the price, you pay it and off you go. I like that everything is planned out because I'm not a planner. When people ask what I wanna do, I would not know. E & A is well worth the price because I don't have to think about what I wanna do. I just look at the calendar and see what looks good to me.
