Unfortunately I didn't cancel before the 3 day policy so I lose my money but the site was very disappointing, nothing but a bunch of really old guys, some didn't even bother to clean up to take a photo, some were truly creepy. I expected more from the company as far as vetting since they bother to do such an in-depth upfront profile. Waste of money. Very disappointing. I'm deleting all and hope they go under.

Decided to cancel after discount trial, but they locked me out, preventing me from canceling. Never responded to my emails requesting to cancel. That's their business model. After few weeks they sent collection agency after me. Never do business with them. You will regret you ever did.

Don’t bother with this app. Almost all of the men on here are ugly and desperate. The customer service is absolutely horrible. You can’t speak to anyone over the phone. If you need any sort of immediate help you are out of luck. They will not be flexible with payments if you need help. It’s extremely expensive yet, during a pandemic, they basically said ** you give us your money. I think the people that work there should all go to hell.

I wish I had done my research and found these reviews a week ago.... I thought eHarmony would offer better connections than the free apps, but I was sorely mistaken. I had nothing in common with my top matches. I didn't expect matches looking like the models on tv, but after reviewing my match profiles and having conversations with some of them, I realized something is very wrong with their algorithm because no one left me interested in sticking around. When I tried cancelling my year membership, I was told there is no cancellation period in my state (some US states get 3 days, while the UK has 2 weeks to cancel). After emailing customer service a few times, and receiving condescending responses lecturing me on how their system works, I decided to try calling, but there is no active phone number that I was able to find.

For such a well known company, I expected much more in the way of customer service both through matches and a cancellation policy. Now I'm stuck paying for the year, even though I will be removing my profile from their service. I should have saved my money and started with one of the other services that has a more extensive free option...I've been on one of them for a week now and found a dozen matches that appear more compatible. Save your money!!!

Total waste of money that eharmony has pocketed without any merit. At least I should have received a partial refund. I sure paid for my mistake.

What a complete dating / meeting social website. A complete disgrace to their so-called matching system. Many times matches are made without facial profile pictures! Extremely FEW matches are within a general (less than 50 mile) distance of your location. I am and noted a conservative yet one of the first match’s, probably faceless, was a liberal! Do NOT waste your time nor money on this obnoxious social website. You can have more fun watching gorillas at the zoo!

For the solid reputation that eHarmony has, I am appalled at my experience with their platform and customer service. Did you know you only have 30 days to decide if it’s working for you? If you take longer, they keep all your money. Not only that, but if you feel like you are being mismatched because of their algorithm, it’s nearly impossible to get THEIR permission to retake YOUR personality quiz. Yup, and you guessed it, is there a phone number you can call or one specific “help desk” you can reach out to? Nope. Just forms and multiple email addresses that seemingly lead to a cyber abyss. Dating can be so tricky. Platforms should make it easier. eHarmony missed the mark on all the essentials, but they will still be spending my money for the next year. What the what???!

I can provide expert testimony from psychologists that the questionnaire presented to the applicants can in no way provide a psychological profile necessary to make comparative analysis of subjects' compatibility.

If I could choose "NO" stars in the rating scale here, I would, but unfortunately the lowest rating I can give is 1 star. I agree 100% with the reviews of Kala of Riverdale, GA, Jen of Charlottesville, VA and Mark of Morgantown, PA, in all regards. I wish I had looked at the reviews on here first before submitting my credit card to eHarmony for the 1 year, 3-payment subscription. First of all I did not realize it is NO LONGER a "Christian" exclusive website. Secondly, I too found a connection off the site, and no longer needed the service. I explained I wanted to cancel and they told me as well that I would not get the refund of the remaining 2 payments, but had to instead cancel my subscription and eat the loss myself. And finally, their supposed "Compatibility Test" is a sham, compared to what the Christian based original E Harmony had in place.

And I had a few messages from weirdos asking for more explicit photos from me, so I don't understand how they can claim quality members of integrity, if that is the type of repulsive messages I am getting. I'm not paying to meet degenerates. All I can say is that I barely ever write reviews, but I locked my credit card for the remaining balance of the 2 months and they sent me to collections. A total SCAM, but a great racket for the owner of the company who is making out like a bandit. Stay clear of this dating site.

As an FYI, I am over 60 and located near a major university in the South-East. I started with 100 mile search range, but soon increased that number. I had a few matches for the first week, and then they trickled off to almost zero. Most of the matches were over 3 hours away. The filters did not work properly. I asked for particular women (white/Caucasian), and ended up with too many who did not meet that simply preference. Well, I signed up for a year, and that was a very poor choice. No refund. I have turned off automatic renewal. My advice is to go elsewhere. Good luck in your searches! I am off to Tinder and Coffee Meet Bagel.

After the first week I discovered that eHarmony was matching me with majority of people who lived completely out of my area, or people I would have nothing in common with. I contacted eHarmony to let them I was extremely unsatisfied with membership and I offered to pay for a month at full price membership because I was extremely unhappy after 1-2 weeks. Their response back was for me to lower my expectations and I was still on the hook for a year membership. I was never part of an introductory offer and I had no idea how poor the membership is. Even after I tried to cancel they still sent my "debt" to a collection agency. Below excerpt from "Customer Service" (grammatical errors are his.) "Please be advised that your subscription was renewed as the automatic renewal feature was not yet disable. The automatic renewal feature is here to provide continuity of service and renews all paid subscriptions for 12-month without any discount." Worst part, I never received a single acceptable prospect from eHarmony, while having dozens on Match. When I tried repeatedly to resolve this billing issue and received contradictory messages and finally a rather rude response by the grammatically challenged "Ivan B." Two people who I was chatting with were already in relationships (married), and the other one gave me the bird and called me fat. There is a very low threshold for maturity on the site and DEFINITELY not worth $289+ if you are over 40. Stick with the free sites if you don’t want to pay to meet cheaters and bullies. They have the worst customer service policy. I signed up for the 12 month service but only ended up using it for a few days before I found the love of my life without the use of their service. I tried to cancel my subscription since I no longer required it and barely used it but they said that all they can do is delete my account and continue to take my monthly payments. I wasn't asking for a complete refund... I was asking to cancel the last 2 payments since I wouldn't be using the services at all. They weren't even open to that compromise. I have even worked for a company that even if the customer had used 90% of the product the customer could return it for a refund if they weren't completely satisfied with it. eHarmony wasn't even willing to take a compromise of half the cost for only a few days worth of use. They clearly don't actually care about people finding love; they only care about taking as much money as possible from lonely people.

Also, the service itself was not the best. Had very few conversations with people who I would actually consider getting into a relationship with. And occasionally I would have issues with the app. It is definitely not worth the money no matter how lonely you are and how much you want to find a partner. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone, not even a total stranger.

You go to eHarmony because they lead you to believe their site is for serious people wanting a relationship. And that they do a more in depth matching process. Neither of those statements are true. Even if you pick the shortest subscription you pay close to $400. There is no way to get a refund depending on where you live. So once you pay you're stuck. You can stop the auto renewal so I am waiting to see if it actually works. Their "in depth matching process" is asking you to choose between two pictures. If you pick the square, you get matched with the others who picked the square. Seriously that's it. And you can't retake the test to see if you get matched better. You can only take it when you renew your subscription??

If you do try to reach out to someone, they and you in a reverse case, have the option to send a goodbye. Which basically means you cut off contact and the message literally reads goodbye. Trying to find someone that I actually have something in common with is exhausting. You get a ton of people that you don't have much in common and you may not find them attractive. I will NEVER use this site again! I also challenge them to prove that someone finds love every 14 minutes using their site. It probably only refers to themselves as they get another sucker every 14 minutes who pays for eharmony.

And to top it off, it's seems as if they hire models to pass as prospects because some of the men there are being there for a long time and yet they seemed to be in no hurry to get out of there. I mean, who in their right mind would want to pay that kind of money on a forever basis? Everywhere in the USA a product is returnable if it doesn't meet the standards promised by the owner. It was always expensive, but the quality largely made it worthwhile - at least when I last used it five years ago. Ufortunately that dating service doesn't exist anymore. eHarmony has changed many key features to make their offering considerably less useful and not remotely worth the money. For one, they changed the icebreaker function, which used to be a good way to gradually get to know someone, and made it much less useful.

Matches now routinely don't correlate with your input criteria, which is annoying by itself, but particularly when you get tons of people that don't fit what you're looking for in critical areas, like income level. They also eliminated the ability to filter out profiles that don't have pictures, further degrading an overpriced service and they clearly are not requiring pictures be posted before a profile is allowed online - and they should be at the cost point for their service and their touted ability to match people and reduce barriers to successful dating. This is unconscionable by itself, but particularly when you're trying to date seriously and find strong matches. I kid you not that my match feed routinely is better than 70% women with no pictures whatsoever. To my mind, this borders on fraud. I would definitely not recommend eHarmony anymore, it's gone way downhill.

So I waited a week, wrote again etc...same response, "you still have to pay" but nothing to address the real issue: they had no members corresponding to my lowest expectations, no response to my messages, no visitors except the 1st week... Yesterday they sent me an automatic email with my new matches: guess what? The 2 matches they sent were 2 people that they had found in April and they were sending them back...There is no way you can explore their members' profiles, you just have to accept their selection..

So, my complaint is: they can't provide a service, after a month I still have no NEW visitors to my profile, nobody has showed up since April 20th or so....My profile is visible, my expectations very low... I receive 10 matches a day and messages on Match (and I am not a member anymore) so I think eHarmony is a scam and I want them to stop the automatic payments without sending them to collection. They are not professional, they don't provide a service, they establish your profile after a very long survey with subtle questions, which at the time looked interesting but then after that I never got any Match???? So, my point is that in this country when the consumer is not provided with the service he paid for, he can get a refund, no matter what. I have read complaints and reviews, some people for the same reasons got their refund, that's why I am posting this. This is a total rip off!

EHARMONY ARE CROOKS!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP! I made the mistake over a year ago (Sept 2019) and after 6 months of NOTHING happening, (having paid $377.47 for that waste of time) I wrote to the company and told them their "system" was not working for me. Their "promise" of free months if not successful never happened. I CANCELLED my account and never heard another thing from the company.......until I was billed $287 in Sept 2020! I immediately contacted the company and told them I had cancelled my account and had not corresponded with anyone since. No emails from the company, etc. I was told I must log into my account. I responded that I could not, as I had cancelled my account six months previously!

They told me I had not cancelled my billing auto renewal therefore I owed the annual fee. I have called several times and told customer service I used the services only 6 months with NO SUCCESS. THEY breached the contract and I got taken for the $377.47! Today they sent me to collections for $287! Because my credit card information was on file when I cancelled, I am suppose to pay for an annual service I'm not even using!! This is insane. Customer service were never helpful. Not when I was trying their service, not when it didn't work and I voiced my concern, therefore I cancelled; not when I cancelled my account and not when I called to clarify I had cancelled my account after they charged me. eHarmony does not care. They just want your money. What a rip off!!!

I went through the eHarmony application process and thought I agreed to a one month subscription. I am 77 and careful with my budget. eHarmony charged me one of 3 nonrefundable payments of $120 the next bday. I emailed immediately and was told essentially... Too bad! This is nonrefundable because your state does not have a 3 day period to cancel a contract. My research says Washington, where I live, does have a 3 day cooling off period. Even so, how slimy to be unclear about what one is agreeing to and refuse to refund the money the next day.

They will not refund (understandable to a certain degree) or cancel future payments (what?!!) even if you found someone and dating exclusively. I’ve been on it for less than a month, have a year subscription which also caught me off guard because I only wanted a month, 3 at the most. I was okay with not receiving a refund of $119.70 but they just emailed me to say I still owe them 3 more installments to pay for the year. This is all about making money and nothing else.

First, most people I know including myself aren't trying to be on this site or any dating site any longer than they have to. So only offering an ungodly high monthly package, their only other options are 1 or 2 year plans which are still really high! Again who is trying to be on a dating site for that long! Ridiculous. Then when I finally did sign up there are almost never any new matches, it's the same people all the time.

Even better, after you go through 4 or 5 pages of matches, the matches are like 100 miles away. It's hard enough to meet people in my neighborhood. HOW and WHY would I want to look that far away?!?! WORST site ever!! NEVER EVER PAY FOR OR USE THIS SITE EVER!!!! And their customer service is the worst. They just regurgitate paragraphs of crap and don't listen to anything the customer has to say. Most of the pictures and profiles of my matches were so bad, I doubt anyone would want to connect with those men. On the other side of the scale, the matches they sent that looked decent never sent me a note and never responded to my notes to them.

I am a fairly attractive half Asian half ** 62 year old that looks like I'm in my early 50s. I am active and in great health. The majority of the matches they sent me looked like old broken down ** men that no one would be interested in. I can't prove it, but I think the majority of the matches they send people are fake pictures and profiles. If the pics and profiles are bad, no one would discover that they are fake. By mid-January, the matches were not getting any better and I asked for a refund before the January payment was due, but they say I cannot get a refund because I subscribed for a 1-year subscription.

So they continue to take almost $59 dollars a month out of my account. What a rip off and I'm pretty certain the matches are fake. I mostly believe this because there was never any solid successful communication (texting back and forth) with any of the few matches that looked decent. I think the whole thing is a scam. I would give 0 stars if I could! Grab a tea or something stronger, it’s a long one ????

You always hear about people that met and fell in love on this site but let’s be honest, it’s far and few. Similar to most people here, I made the mistake of not reading reviews first, and just paid for a membership. When subscribing, you are told that there is a 14 day period within which you can cancel and get a refund, no fees attached. I joined Sunday morning, very quickly, I realised that the app was mostly 45+ year olds (I’m 25, female), most messages were from people outside the country and younger profiles were clearly fake. I get lots of matches on other apps but eHarmony is made out to be “come here when you’re serious”. I cancelled within the same day, followed the cancellation instructions, only to be notified that I would be getting charged, not for the service used so far, but for the profile report I had received. Yeah, charged for a product you had no idea you’d bought. Sound familiar? Yay, I’ve just been scammed, happy new year!

Let’s go back a bit. When you sign up to the service, you complete a survey (a quiz like the Myers Briggs personality test that you can complete and get a detailed report for free). At no point are you told that the results of this survey are a product you will be charged for should you subscribe. You don’t receive the results of these either unless you subscribe. I subscribed at 1:52pm and my “profile” arrived instantly alongside the order confirmation and it looks just like the end of every “what are you” quiz. Nothing special or bespoke.

Hours later, buyer remorse hit. Maybe if I change my locations, I zoomed right across the UK, tried changing all details of my profile but nope, similar bios with different pics pop up. Oh well, remember, I can get a refund! So I go to my profile, cancel my membership, pop an email to support. Then I am greeted with a response that lets me know that my use of the service (£10.45 a month) is now worth £130 BUT because they’re feeling generous, they’ll slash it in half. So I highlight all the above and turns out, that little survey profile they emailed me is worth £130. It’s like PPI but worse. In their terms, it says that upon cancelling, they may deduct a reasonable fee from what you’ve been charged. At the time of cancelling, I’d only been charged £10 so I assumed maybe some or all of that £10 as gone. I was okay with that, £10 is 2 pints, I can let go of that but nope, another £54 out the hatch!

So in short, that refund thing is a LIE. There is no trial period. I’ve read excuses of “full refund would only be if you didn’t activate the membership”. How does one use a trial period without TRYING the damn thing? Pretty sure there’s some consumer law breached here. How can you promise and advertise a refund when there was never going to be one? Also how can you charge £65 for an automated email of survey results? It’s like getting to a checkout and being charged a rental fee for the trolley and an oxygen fee for all the breathing you’ve done in store and a bonus charge to any song you hummed to off the store’s radio or an airline hostess charging a fee for every time they smile at you or point to your seat.

Unless you’re happy paying £65 for an automated email of quiz results, stick to Buzzfeed, at least theirs has GIFs. If you’re under 40, stick to Tinder and Bumble. It’s so much better, way more matches, conversations and dates and amazing customer service for free or way less cost or hassle.

Signed up for this site two years ago, after being swayed by the gimmicky commercials. I had tried other free dating apps prior to eHarmony, and I have to say eHarmony is the biggest waste of both time and money ever. For one thing, the site does not differentiate between the people who have a free weekend and the actual paid members. So, you might very well end up "matching" with someone who does not even use the site yet their information remains in the system after their free weekend is up.

Within two days of paying for this site, I hated it. I got messages from men I would never consider dating. One of the two men was WAY too pushy and desperate, and wanted my phone number after barely exchanging any messages and got mad when I wouldn't give it to him immediately. He actually messaged me saying "This isn't going to work out between us because you won't give me your phone number"- it sounded like a break up before we'd ever actually met! LOL. The other guy also lived about 80 miles away from where I lived at the time which was not in line with the parameters I'd set up for dating distance. There was another user who sent me a message, but I never responded to. eHarmony sent me a message saying that his profile had been removed for inappropriate and lewd behavior towards other users.

Free dating apps have their fair share of issues, too. I've received some gross messages, been on some terrible dates from those, but also had some great ones. In fact, I met my husband on a free dating app (obviously not eHarmony). With eHarmony, though, my profile got really no attention which I've never experienced before on any sites. I don't think they really value their customers who pay, and it's just about getting their money.

I decided if I was going to try eharmony I needed to sign up fully. I reviewed the terms and conditions, which say you can cancel within 3 days and receive a full refund. Unfortunately, this is only true in some states - this fact is included in the terms and conditions, but not made clear.

After trying the site for a day and realizing it would not be a good fit for me, I followed the cancellation policy instructions listed in the terms and conditions but was told they would not grant a refund, as I do not live in the states where this is allowed. They also will not stop payment, and will continue to charge me for the remainder of a six month membership (total of almost $400). Incidentally, they did offer to extend my membership by three months - which, of course, I don't want. So, after thinking I was signing up for a cancellable membership, I find I am locked into $400 for 1.5 days of "being a member". I've deleted my account and do not intend to sign back up. Many of the matches they paired me with weren't even in my country, the site was difficult to navigate, and it was extremely expensive. Stay away! If this is the way they do business in the open, who knows what else they are doing!

There’s little difference between the paid and free version. The algorithm is garbage. I was matched with my opposites. Horrible. It’s wayyy overpriced for terrible service. They don’t honor the 14 day grace period that is on their site. After 3 days of nothing, I tried to cancel. Sure, I could cancel, but I am going to be billed $223.00 for nothing despite the posted 14 day “cooling off” period. They refused to acknowledge the lies on their site. They just kept saying that they would keep my account open and add 3 extra months to my contract. What part of “Please cancel my account” is confusing.

I’m a progressive, atheist, urban, vegan. Why would I date a conservative, gun-toting Christian, hunter from the country? To each his own, but not even close to a good match. I think the algorithm is garbage and the customer service is terrible. All in all, burning $223 in the fireplace would have been way more enjoyable. It turns out that Eharmony has had multiple lawsuits about their sketchy business practices and billing. Overpriced trash.

Joined eHarmony for a 6 month term seeking a relationship and immediately within the first day, I knew the site was a huge disappointment. Tried to invoke the 3 day cancellation but that is limited to certain states. The only way to communicate with customer service is via messaging as there is no phone number and they might get back to you with some generic nonsense answer in a few days.

The matches I get are pathetic. Certainly not within the boundaries of what I am seeking (not talking about looks alone). Almost half don't have pictures. That is a big red flag when someone does not have a picture in their profile - what are they hiding or who are they hiding from? It has been a week now and the same matches keep recycling.

The website also has issues, specifically with the message system. I did have two responses that showed considerable interest. When I responded, I received an error message that my message did not go through and the website advised me to copy/paste my message, logout and in and resend the message. Did that and have not received a reply from two seeming interested women which leads me to believe that they did not get my message even though it appears they did. So, do I send them another message asking if they received my message? That seems kind of pushy and desperate if they did get the original reply. So the unknown functionality of their message system kind of makes the entire experience further dysfunctional.

One response was liberal which means matching did not work, other than that no one I emailed responded. No interest. Not any. This site charges you fortune. You're stuck paying for 6 months and they do nothing and I mean nothing. 4 months and one poor response I call that nothing. I purchased 6 months subscription with discount. Compared to other dating apps: Eharmony is expensive, I read carefully cancelation policy and decided to give it a fair try. After one week of use I understood that application is not user friendly and hard no navigate. Some features not available on the phone, very outdated look and panel. Also, there is no traffic. I was parallel on other dating site I would receive thousands of likes and requests, on Eharmony I got only a few and nothing actually matching to my criteria.

It was clear for me that I need to cancel it after 1-2 weeks, I canceled my subscription and on my profile is says "Your automatic renewal was cancelled" but it was not. Soon in a month I realized they keep charging me. I sent email to request refund and they replied, they wouldn't do it. I have options to hold it or make my friend or family member to take it.

Company business strategy is to charge money from clients, period. They are not focused to improve the app (and they really need it) or make it really the app to meet people. For now it's the app with wrong advertisement to take money from people. Sad to see such a business strategy. Hope they change and it wont last too long.... This review is for potential users, it costs a lot but actually works worse than free apps, read carefully all reviews before subscribing.

Turns out that eHarmony is only able to provide matches based on geographic proximity in the US, Australia, the UK and one other country. For those of us living in any other country, it is NOT possible to select matches within a certain distance from where you live, making it virtually useless as a dating service app. For example, I live in Colombia, and I was getting matches in CA, AZ, Russia, and as far away as the Philippines! Halfway around the world! Of course in and of itself there is nothing wrong with this, AS LONG AS IT IS DISCLOSED and made clear when you sign up for the service. It is NOT clear at all. The simple expectation in today's world of on-line apps that you will be able to select matches according to geographic proximity when you purchase a premium subscription is simple common sense.

When I complained, the customer service rep simply said that currently they are not able to provide matches close by. And that "according to our refund policy" they will not provide a refund, and that "after reviewing my case" that was the final decision. Period. I would caution people not to use this service for this reason, unless you live in one of the countries where geographic proximity matches are possible. And even so, I would urge everyone, regardless, not to support a business with such deceptive practices, poor service for premium subscription customers, and such disdainful customer service and unfriendly refund policies.

I didn’t think they would say I only match the lowest bar on their site, such as construction workers. The language was so bad. So so bad. I didn’t want any of them to say hello, which probably wouldn’t have been spell checked and said hello. They were utterly sexist giving male and female roles to a relationship (of which apparently I fill both). Also, when living in a major metropolitan area, and not even 35 yet, only having 45 bad matches on the entire site. Yea. I canceled before giving them cc. At least I saved myself that hassle.

On reviewing their T&C's to find their 14 day cooling off period, it's very dodgy and you have to look hard in different sections to find the small print which says they 'may' charge a reasonable amount for their compatibility checker. I recently gave this site a try. I had heard good things from a friend (one friend) and I had also heard that online dating had picked up with the lockdowns. So, I signed up after googling if they have a cancellation window where I would be able to get a refund. BIG MISTAKE! After looking through my matches, I just didn’t feel it was the right time to try this. I feel like people are not trying to shell out $269+ right now with a difficult economy. So maybe they’re all on the free or cheaper sites? I spoke to an eHarmony representative via the chat option and she was so rude. She took forever to respond and was very condescending.

I was curt in my own responses because I had nothing to say. After emailing customer service, I was informed there is no refund window?!? When did they take that away??? If I would have known I never would have signed up! That’s where they get you though, because who on earth has 6 hours to read through their 78 page terms when I knew from a friend and Google that they have a refund window?

I’m so dissatisfied. Don’t sign up for this service. I don’t trust their “formulas” or the matches that were available. Debra (lady from the chat box) told me to just give it a try and I sure have. I’ve talked with many of my matches and I just am having a hard time finding someone that seems to connect. I usually have an easy time in the beginning of online dating (the two times I’ve tried it) but it’s just not seeming to go anywhere this time. Spend your money somewhere where you can try a site month to month. Don’t waste your time, energy, and hard-earned money on a site that doesn’t even let you have a trial period. Or, you might even have more luck with a free site.

I was really disappointed. At the time I joined several years ago I was a Christian. Turns out guys go on eHarmony to sleep with Christian women because they're less likely to have STDs. Two guys I met were likely sex offenders from their very creepy behavior, such as being very handsy, wanting me to touch their clothes, to ride in their car, or choosing a meeting place next to a hotel. One brought his toddler to my house for a date, spent the whole night being annoyed with the child and then wanted me to have sex on the sofa with him when the child fell asleep!

I was in my early 40s and open to adoption or fostering so I answered "Maybe" to whether I wanted kids. I found out when my subscription was finally up and a rep called me that by answering "Maybe" I had not expanded my options, but limited them to only men who also said "Maybe." But, the rep said, it was too late (3 days or something) to give me any credit for my unused months and poor experience. If you saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty remake where Walter has discussions with his eHarmony coach, know that a) there isn't really anything like that and b) the movie's jokes about no refunds is cringing funny because it's so true. Neil Clark Warren is one of many reasons I'm no longer Christian.

    1. Even though you can't force people to like you, a dating site should at least deliver enough candidates to possibly date. I subscribed to eHarmony.ie believing that it would give me the opportunity the meet people in Ireland. After paying an extortionate amount of money to get on the site, I saw that there were less than 15 candidates in the whole country, in my age group.
    2. As mentioned before, I had to pay quite some money to access the site, around €70,- p.m. for 6 months (you pay double the first 3 months), only to learn that a friend of mine was able to get it for £11,- p.m. and not having to pay double.

    3. I'd specified to look for a possible partner in Ireland, and failing there, the UK as well, only to receive visits to my profile from Australia, South America, etc. My profile must've been shared.

To say that I feel fleeced and duped is an understatement. I do not recommend eHarmony in any way, shape or form.

I purchased eHarmony in 8/19 for our daughter, I knew I was in a one year contract. I contacted them to cancel the account before it renewed and they advised me she had to email them. She emailed them and they CLAIM to have canceled it but we still got billed 103.80. They now refuse to refund me! They rip off the consumer. Do Not Use Them!

Thought I was doing a 3 day trial, turns out I was stuck in a contract for a year, that only applies to certain states. Hardly any matches in my area. Just don't do it, not worth cost or headache. UGH.

I’m embarrassed to report that boredom and curiosity provoked me into clicking fast and NOT reading fine print. What I read was that I had three days to try it out for free, but after realizing I couldn’t really see anyone else on the site or access filters, I had to pay. I looked through the payment options and how much things cost. What I read was that it was $17 for the first three months, then it bumped up significantly. THIS WAS MY MISTAKE. I assumed (and we all know what that does) that I could fiddle around in the site and see if I liked what I saw for a few weeks and cancel if I didn’t love it. For $17, I was willing to sate my curiosity. No. Y’all, they charge 3 installments of ~$100 NOT the $17 for the first three months then the monthly charge.

It’s is NOT clear and while I did not slow down to read carefully, I would venture to say that the lack of clarity and explicitness is similar to the poacher-style loans you see on the side of busy college town streets. People are too caught up to read the verrrry small print and make an expensive mistake. I am so mad at myself because ultimately, I fell victim to an unclear marketing tactic. I found a hack to avoid the further installment payments, but I’m frustrated that I’ll be out the $100.

I recently registered with eHarmony and chosen 24 Monthly subscription, but I wanted to take on a Monthly base. They took the whole payment, even though I was asking them to cancel while I was still in 14 days cancellation from the registration. They ignored most of my emails and waited to pass 14 days (this is the period you can cancel your subscription) and took the whole payment at once. It's really very unprofessional service. The person that dealt with me was sort of annoying, telling me to spend time on the website instead of complaining. In that sort of manner. Terrible service. They don't deserve to be supported. I am very upset and I can't wait to finish with them. I wouldn't suggest eharmony to no one.

I would give eHarmony zero stars if I could. They want to hold customers to their policies, but do not hold up their end of their policies like the guarantee the site advertises. I paid in full for a 12-month subscription. The site was terrible and didn't help me to meet anyone. I stopped using the site several months before the pandemic and the national lockdown which kept anyone from being able to meet people and use the site services. I did not request a refund due to the pandemic hardship, which should be automatically done since this is an unprecedented hardship for many people.

Anyway, I was unaware of the auto-renewal since I didn't really use the site and haven't logged in months before the renewal. My credit card number changed, so they weren't able to charge me in July. I got an email in August with a bill I owed for $388.15 for another 6-month subscription. I emailed them immediately to tell them that I do not want to continue my service and that I haven’t used it in months. They replied with a legal policy that I must pay for the subscription unless I canceled before the renewal date. It was a few weeks passed the renewal date and I haven’t used the service, so I don’t feel that I owe this money. I was unhappy with their site, I haven’t used the site much during my paid subscription and I didn’t use it at all months leading up to the renewal date due to the pandemic. This company does not care about their customers and only wants to enforce policies without any consideration.

I am not seeking a refund for the year that I barely used and terrible service they provide. I wasn’t charged for the subscription they say I now owe because of my credit card number changed. I will never use their site again. I just want my balance owed to be removed for a subscription that I didn’t authorize for renewal and haven’t used. I would never use a service and not pay for it nor would I neglect to pay for something I received. However, I don’t feel I was treated fairly, I didn’t use the site, and I don’t feel I owe them for the new subscription that I didn’t authorize or use that they are forcing me to pay because it’s in their policy.

When I asked them for some consideration to resolve this matter, they emailed me back and said that I owe them for a 12 month subscription and not 6 month subscription like the original billed emailed to me in the first email. This is not what they said in the first email. You cannot tell someone they owe $388 for 6 months and change it to 12 months for $800+. This company needs to get their act together and not treat people so poorly without any consideration. Lastly, I was so angry about their business practices that I asked about how to fulfill their guarantee that is advertised. They haven’t answered any of my questions in several emails regarding this. They just keep telling me I owe them money even if I delete my account due to the policy.

I signed up half asleep thinking as they put it, I was getting a discount for three months for 14.95 a month. Gave them my cc# and went to sleep. The next day I checked the charge and it was 96.09. I called immediately to no avail. So I texted customer care. They said they could not refund my money. So I've been writing and texting ever since. Something has to be done in order to get a refund. There has to be a way to stop these crooks from taking our money, with no consequences. How about a class action suit saying how they dwindle people out of their hard earned money every day. They haven't heard the last of me any time soon. Predators.

I did not read the find print in the payment agreement that says you must complete a year's worth of payments, even if you are dissatisfied and want to delete your profile, something that is commonly done on dating websites...except for eHarmony. I believe this to be the equivalent to the scammers that often visit these sites. I received absolutely no views, no likes, no conversations, nor did I find anyone in my city of 250,000 among their subscribers. Now I'm stuck with the rest of the yearly subscription payments for a very lousy service. Don't fall for their scam that you cannot have recourse if they fail to live up to your even mediocre expectations, much less if you have to believe their ads and actually have high expectations. Thank you.

Awful group of men to choose from. The ones I chose to speak to were mostly liars and I learned provided false information on their profiles. Had 4 contacts who were scammers with fake photos and information. Luckily I was able to pick up on it and call them out. When I contacted EHarmony to cancel and remove my profile, I was told I had to pay anyway. Very expensive and a total waste of money. Very unfriendly and poor customer service. Save you money and sanity. Don't do it!!
