I reported a scammer but they don't wanna investigate it! The site is overall okay and I think it's normal that there are scammers here.. I have no illusions about dating sites at all but pls respond to complaints!

You guys need to attract more girls to your site.. I'm a newbie here and I feel the lack of hotties looking for hookups. Most of girls that I found needed relationships and stuff. Sorry, but it's not for me.. Don't get me wrong, I just broke up with my GF so I'm here to have fun. Maybe I just need to puzzle out your filters...

I don't normally review anything haha.. Just a bit of info for all you guys out there. Was using the site non stop for 2 weeks, but after that my local pool just drained. OK, my town is not too big, but still I was expecting more. Other than that, the site is safe, no fakes, and fun to use. I think if you're from a big city, you won't have such problems. /4 out of 5/

What I do like about the site is the logics embedded in its architecture. It's user-friendly to a great extent and simply pleasant to look at. Very well-done! As good as simple and that the best part I guess.

Don't understand why people say they the site is pricey.. IMHO the site matches the quality! Look, I'm not new to online dating and tried a lot of stuff, so now I can say that this site is one of the few that has quality profiles on. Girls, all folks here are real!

I sent chats to 3 beautiful ladies and agreed to continue our chatting at Google Hangouts. The ladies asked my picture which they appreciates and in turn I asked them too about their pictures. I was surprised it is entirely different to the one posted in their Cupid profile. All of this ladies also presented to me sexy photo of their bodies. I checked those sexy photos at "TinEye reversed images" and revealed they are photo's of porn models. These scam ladies are from Ghana Africa. Watch out. Once you're hooked they will ask help by monetary considerations and so as a reminder if came to know a beautiful lady in Cupid.com...ask right away if she lives in USA or Africa.

They transferred funds for a renewal after the account was setup not to do so. No replies to numerous emails even to the parent company. Now the account is suspended without notice or notice. Pursuing legal solutions.

This entire site is a scam. Fake profiles. Pop-ups to other fake dating sites. Nonstop fake people trying to contact you. Lots of bots. I would stay away from this site. You have been warned. Good Luck.

Simply scammers not different than Thieves and 99.9% of the opposite Sex profiles are prostitutes selling sex for cash. I well believe they're into sex trafficking because in the process of talking to several of the profiles they were not themselves so I'll be part of taking this site down if I am asked for.... truly a waste of time, money is not important but my time very well is and for that I despise them.

Loveagain is a sister site of Cupid.com. After I canceled my Cupid subscription last fall, they GAVE my banking information to loveagain.com who has been making unauthorized debits from me since November last year. They make it very sneaky, looking like it could be just another transactions. It was pure chance I noticed it today when I checked my transaction records. I have contacted customer service for a full refund and they refuse to do anything other than a free month membership despite the fact that I NEVER gave them permission to bill me for a site I have literally never gone to until today to contact their customer service department.

The profiles are fake. There isn't a single real profile. I signed for the 3 day trial and they wanted to charge me more. I was cautious to do it with a card that had limited funds. If you call them, they never answer. The profile cancellation process takes you nowhere unless you engage giving them even more info. AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL. I used other sites and this is the worst I've ever seen. A total Scam.

They do not speak clear English whenever you’re having a problem regarding your money! I accidentally hit the premium and it charged my card. Instead of them having a confirm payment button it just automatically takes your money with one accidental click. They also make like on their website they will refund your money, that’s NOT true. You will never receive a refund. Ever. And then all this occurred in minutes. I accidentally hit premium for a month after just purchasing 3 day trial and called instantly for a refund. But no it was against their policies to give refunds even if it was only a few minutes of purchase.

I canceled my subscription to Cupid.com over the phone and the representative explained they would not refund my money, and talked to me like I was ignorant. Then he tries to talk me into a free three month subscription to the site, all the while telling them I did not even want the subscription and wanted my money back. So not only did they keep my money they tried to pull money out today that was never authorized and had to shut down my card from my bank account!! These people are scammers and fraudulent. Not only is it full of profiles that you can tell are fake, but their website makes it so hard to navigate to delete your profile! Thumbs down all the way!!!

Don’t bother going to this dating website. It is comprised of nothing but scammers and the company practices deceptive practices. I took out a 3-day subscription to check emails and messages. My bank notified me when the company made an attempt to take out more than I had authorized and shut down my credit card. The company does not allow you to cancel billing online. You have to call them. You end up talking to a customer service rep who has a language barrier. The next thing when you tell them you are not interested in their services they try to give you a 15-minute sales pitch in which you have to lose your temper informing them you are not interested.

I wanted the 3 day trial and they ended up taking that charge and another for 30.00. When you call for assistance, you get nowhere. I wish I had read these reviews before I got involved. Now I have to go through my bank to ensure they don't have access to my account. Lesson learned but what a big mistake. Buyer beware.

From the second I first created my account, I started getting messages from members with random characters. They don't even bother to try to make some semblance of a real name. If they do happen to have a picture in their profile, you can right click it and search for the image on Google. This almost always results in being some super model's images, and not the person in the profile. These people like and message you constantly, especially if they see you are online on the site. Then they ask you to leave the site to chat some other way, or you can give them your personal email... (don't do this, there's no way to track them once you leave the site). There were 5 people located within 50 miles of me... and I'm in a decent sized city. To top it all off, when you cancel your billing, it gives you your user ID, and tells you to call a phone number!!! This whole site is nothing but a scam.

90% Scam Profiles - I signed up with the BBW plus size site and what I found over the course of a month is that the majority of anyone contacting me was a scammer. Note to you: If they only have 1 picture posted and they have a Masters or Bachelors degree, don't bother. If they contact you and don't have correct spelling, punctuation, grammar - yet have a Masters or Bachelors degree, don't bother. Pay attn to details in their profile description and see if the picture matches - many times that will send up the red flag. Major waste of my $50. Now let's see how difficult it is to cancel. :(

I joined the site hoping to meet local people. But in a age of 45-60 I had pictures of women in their early twenties purporting to be 48 plus they lived in Ghana. I’d only been on the site one hour before I thought cancel. I could not get hold of anyone. The form you fill in for cancellation and refund does not send. Finally had a call back. No refund. Just offered two months free. I said, "I don’t want to go on the site." Leave well alone money robbers!!!

I am appalled that anyone could use a dating site to blatantly steal money from innocent people. The scammers pose as interested men but the idiot conversations via WhatsApp soon makes you think that these are bogus people posing as engineers and doctors. When I tried calling their numbers they never answered but called me briefly. The conversations were very suspect and they were always in a hurry posing always as half Italian but with awful accents! As I am no fool I feel upset and violated that I shared personal stories with these idiots. The police should be informed and TV consumer programmes alerted. It seems that they are targeting older women who think may have money. What disgusting human beings. They have made me feel exposed and an old fool.

This did not unlock the account so I could explore the website. I tried calling their customer service and was put on hold forever and then told to press one for a callback. So I requested the callback and started researching the website (which I should have done before giving my credit card number) and found this Consumer Affairs site. After reading how this is basically a rip off scam, I called my credit card company and asked how I can prevent this company from making additional charges to my card. What I had to do was cancel my card and have them send me a new one, which is way easier than having to deal with these thieves. Lesson learned, and I'm only out three dollars.

I had never heard of with UK.com. addresses!!! Very frustrating because I can’t even log back into Cupid.com to straighten this out - it directs me to a “sex in the UK” form! In addition I was automatically upgraded adding to the expense without my knowledge or consent charging me $31.96 instead of the $23.99 I agreed to.

This site makes it so difficult to leave, and having tried to do so within their complicated system several times, I FOUND I WAS STILL BEING BILLED! I was promised a refund, but then they changed their mind. Stay clear, not just because of the above, but most of the contacts seemed to be gold diggers... You have been warned.

I set up two separate accounts to test their site. One page I used a random photo of a horse in the wilderness. The other a picture of Tom Brady. Both accounts instantly received 20-30 messages but no profiles views. Which means the messages were sent by bots or people who never even looked at your page. Falsified profiles aimed at getting you to upgrade subscriptions. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD THAT CUPID IS A SCAM SITE. THEY PREY ON LONELY SINGLE MEN. Don't be a victim.

I set up a profile and paid the subscription. I found the website busy to say the least, with masses of messages and solicitations arriving from all over the world. I cancelled the subscription after 2 days, using the 14-day UK cooling off period as prescribed by consumer legislation and documented in the Cupid.COM Terms of Use. Cupid neither issued emails when accepting subscriptions nor replied to requests to cancel subscriptions. Although the account was downgraded, they did not return the subscription. Instead, a similar account was opened at LoveAgain.COM and it seems my refund was used to fund that account, but without my agreement.

I am single and 60 and signed up for a 3 day trial period at a cost of $2.97. But... after the time period was up, I checked my bank statement and saw I had been billed $29.99 for another month. This isn't right to do to someone. I never signed up for anther 30 days on this site. Their billing and debit to my bank account caused me financial hardship as I was not expecting this charge and it caused me to bounce other bills that I had expected. The quality of men on this site leaves something to be desired too - so DON'T SIGN UP FOR ANY ONLINE DATING SITES UNLESS YOU READ CAREFULLY THEIR BILLING POLICIES.

But the biggest trouble is their Wingman actions, who will find a slight match when you’re offline and tease them with cutest, stupid sexy opening lines. May work for person who will date a farm animal, but hooks you up as if YOU said the words, thus leading them on, I’m 65, no prude, but at times have been mortified to “see a man they’ve hooked me up with and you feel you have to say something. I canceled my membership in less than 24 hours, it still working. Also Zoosk will nickel and dime you to death. Going to Match and/or eHarmony! These are much better although I haven’t done this since 2004.

I set up an account with Cupid.com on 1/11/18, went through the whole process and tried to upgrade membership, had issues with PayPal and when I went back the PayPal option was no longer available... I reached out to the admin e-mail as the site instructs you to do so, and a get some generic reply message about, if you would like to cancel your account follow the steps in settings. I replied back that I didn't want to cancel membership and explained about the no PayPal option any longer. And because I had answered all of their interest questions the 50% pricing was available.

STAY AWAY. Scammer Cupid.com are thieves. BY ALL Means stay away from cupid.com. If you choose the 3-day trial for $2.97, they will right away charge you for 29.99, 23.11, 2.97 or more at the same time, claiming they added extra features that you never asked for. Plus they will contact you with staff profiles (posing as real dates) to get you to sign up for their services. Plus there are plenty of fake profiles, just to name a few. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFORMATION. Beware.

I have not found a "decent" date. Meaning this seems to be a married man hook-up site. They either are "widowed" or their marriage needs spicing up. It is not the site's fault. I understand that but really screen your matches carefully. I have since given up on dating sites.

Stay away from this site!!! It's filled with SCAMMERS!!! The guys are all widowed, live out of state, and look like models but they are really creeps sitting in Nigeria. They claim to be civil engineers, widowed with a young child, conveniently working overseas saving the world! They give you a song and dance and fall "head over heels" with their victim. My scammer thought he had a live one... Wrong. It's embarrassing as it took me a week of texting the creep to wise up and do a little homework and found the poor guy he was pretending to be. When you try to cancel your membership you have to call a number and the person on the other line could barely speak English and argued with me about cancelling. It's really a shame that these dating sites are just overfilled with scammers!!! I would rather be lonely and single!! Save yourself the aggravation, time and money and stay away!!

When I first signed up and created my profile on Cupid, somehow my gender selection was wrong. After uploading some of my photos I checked my profile and saw it read "male". I went through the steps as prescribed on Cupid to request my gender changed to female. I looked back at my profile and saw my uploaded photos were gone so I uploaded again and went through the steps to request my gender change on my profile. (Requested gender must match your uploaded photos). Well, since my uploaded photos just disappear, I am in a conundrum. After several messages to Customer support, have received no response. My next step is filing a complaint with the state Attorney General's office.

I had a paid account with this website for year. During my (6 months + 6 months) one year membership, I received chat and messages from like 500-600 women. What a coincident, all of them were African scam. What more interesting, people I reached out myself also were scam. Spend some hundred dollars to see how deep it goes. Turn out it's infinite...

I joined Cupid.com and realised immediately that I had made a mistake (literally 10 minutes later). The terms and conditions stated that I had 14 days to change my mind. I was relieved that I was well within this timeframe and seeing as I didn't activate my account I assumed that my refund of £30 would be made within 24hrs. 10 days later, I have not received any acknowledgement or any contact from this company. I would like to exercise my consumer rights and for my money to be return to me immediately.

Cupid.com stole money from me and I never signed up with them. I don't know how they got my information or my credit card number. They took 140.00 out of my account without me knowing, did not get any emails with an account name or password but yet they took my money. How do I get my money back and put a stop to future scams.

Cupid is a criminal operation. Most US banks will not let you use their credit cards to sign up for a reason -- Cupid will renew your paid membership even when you have an end date. They hide the place where you get to stop the subscription. Most people have to google to find the page. It is also filled with romance scammers -- and they are not removed even if you report them. I know, I've reported them and they were never removed. If you want waste money join. If you want to meet real people go somewhere else.

I had written you about Match.com and the various foreign men that tried to scam me. Well I decided to also to go to Cupid which I believe is owned by the owners of Match.com and also Zoosk. My results were horrifying. I found many profiles being shared amongst the three dating sites. Many of the men's backgrounds as far as where they lived, their name, phone numbers, their age, and if they were widowers or married, proved to be inaccurate or false information given by them. Some of the men I questioned all seemed to be in business for themselves.

I'm appalled in the inconsistency of repeat billing dates as it appears Cupid are winding the clock back on every anniversary by a factor of 3 days - suggesting there are thirteen (13) months in a calendar year, not the standard twelve (12). I agree to pay fees on a monthly basis but at the same date during the month which has not happened. It's equally frustrating making multiple formal requests (with visual pictures) outlining your billing policy page is faulty or perhaps simply does not exist. I have clearly stated in my correspondence, you have failed to supply a copy of your billing policy, complaints procedure(s) or refund of my account. You have failed to notify myself of any price increase(s) plus have not supplied any receipts for payments taken.

I joined Cupid.com and paid, as I thought, for one month. Somehow it added £14.90 on as Premium Membership which I didn't want. I sent an email and I then had an email saying my membership had been cancelled. I queried this. Having then looked at the calibre of people on the site, I decided for a full refund which I requested. Despite putting the acceptable mileage from my home and age group of men, I was getting communications from as far as 250 miles away and young men younger than my eldest son. The whole thing seems a total sham. Despite repeated requests under the distance selling act for a full refund, all I am getting is emails offering me special deals with their other sites. I had one email saying they were unable to trace my payment. I have referred this now to my credit card Company. They also operate under different names including Over 50 dating which is what I joined.

I canceled membership 5 days before the deadline. Still got charged, apparently just like many other customers. If you people are serious about protecting consumers, these people (Cupid.com) should be investigated and put out of business!!!!

These guys are scam and people like this have ruined internet. Fake profiles galore. Customer Support claims to help but they do nothing. Nobody is sending us emails except BOT. They will not cancel account. They will not refund even though within 24 hrs I contacted them this is BS. Some reason, over a month now PayPal hasn't refunded. Guess Cupid ** have convinced them they are legit. I am back to PayPal regarding. Much better chances/opportunities at your local bar. Good Luck.

I want a complete refund of $** ... and here's why: Scammers, scammers, scammers. I know that there's been contact with hundreds of people. I've marked many as scammers with the system as they exchange contact information with me. Then in private communication, they send photos that they claim to be themselves. When I use a reverse image search tool at Google I see within a few seconds every site of each photograph they've sent me exists in a ** gallery of a known ** star.

After doing the free search, there were a couple of people I wanted to contact. So I paid the $12.00 one year fee and also the fee so they could contact me for free if they weren't members. So, I set up the search so that I could message and they were gone. Where before I had paid, there were maybe 20-30 members in my area, now there was only one.

This site scammed me. I signed for one and got charged for three, for seven months.

Very dissatisfied overall. Was charged far more than advertised for a site that didn't work well at all. Save yourself a lot of hassle. Avoid Cupid.com.

Horrible online dating website. All woman (as I am a man) I met on site lied about where they were located. If you actually got a response it was also a total lie - women just trying to bilk money out of you. If you did send a response to a person, there would be no response and then if you moved forward that person's picture would be associated with a different domain name and a different state - country - area. TOTAL SCAM. Plus after the first day of realizing I had been scammed I tried to deactivate my account - cancel my subscription and there is no way to accomplish this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. TOTAL SCAM.

Same experience as all these other comments. Paid £3.00 for 3-day trial in Sept 2013. Just got my bank statement on Nov 11 2013 and over £100 has been taken out. They are not interested in any of my complaints and they maintain I asked for upgrades to my 3-day trial WHICH I DID NOT. Steer well clear of these rogues. I'm only happy I spotted these withdrawals from my account before they fleeced me completely.

A warning to others, don't use CUPID PLC!!! I joined a dating site Blackmatch.com back in April 2011. I paid for a 3-month subscription costing £40.78 on a trial basis. The site was a waste of time. I had no messages or little response so I cancelled my membership and repeat billing before the membership expired in July 2011. I cancelled online. It was a complicated procedure and misleading. When you clicked on the link "cancel repeat billing", it said "Thank you for staying with us!" A total con! I carried out the online instructions and as far as I was concerned, I thought I was no longer a member. I didn't use the site again after July 2011 or the service. I left and joined a different site. I forgot all about it until I realized there was money being taken from my account every 3 months. They had continued taking 10 more payments of £40.78 and had taken over £400 after I'd cancelled my repeat billing.

I selected this site to meet and correspond with females in various countries. I signed up for the FilipinoCupid and BrazilCupid sites. Initially, I believed the interests sent me were real until I notice after about 2 weeks that the only ones interested in me were 70-80 year old substance-dependent widows. The attractive females never did reciprocate the interest, and many profiles were turned off.

Loveagain.com is an online dating site, and just by its name which sounds quite authentic; however it promotes a false sense of intent. The website is affiliated with Cupid.com and has mastered the skill of deception. I'm very cautious with online dating sites for many reasons, but this one fooled me, hands down. I didn't commit until several days later, and while I had my incomplete profile (unpaid), I got bombarded with emails of beautiful woman, and average looking, winking, showing interest. I wasn't able to read until I paid the website. Fair enough, it seemed. After all, the sites looks good and plenty of serious women engaging. But I was wrong. The minute I paid for my membership, all the mails, winking stopped. I responded to all those emails, and never got a response back form either, and trust me, it's not a lack of writing skills or looks. I haven't even gotten an email for several days now. The only ones I'm getting is another site called Naughty.com - don't know how - my guess is that it's the same company - with the same format. At that point, I knew I got deceived. Nothing I can do now, but endure the small loss; however I gained a lesson!

Much like somebody else has described here, you will get fake contact notifications when you sign-up with your email in order to hook you to subscribe in order to respond back. On top of that Cupid.com has many similar sites they will try to get you to subscribe to using same tactics. They will not refund your money once you purchase the service, just try emailing or calling them. Really disappointing. You have to be so careful with dishonest websites doing these things widespread. This site is just the tip of the iceberg for similar sites I've encountered in the dating community. You have to do your research for complaints on ANY dating site now because this is so widespread. This is how the internet is now.

I was introduced by a friend to single parties organized by Speed Dater, an online meeting website (owned by Cupid plc) that is also organizing single events in London venues. One day I realised looking at my bank account statement that the website was charging me even though I have never been interested in online dating. It appeared that I had forgotten to uncheck a box that was giving me a free access to the web services for a month while booking for a single party event.

Someone phished my credit card and signed up for a 3-day trial on Cupid.com. I let them know as well as the company that bills for them and they refused to refund the $5.10 as they said they have a 3D secure password that prevents fraud so I must have been the cardholder. Unfortunately they are in the UK so I have little recourse.

I signed up on this website sometime in November. It's a scam and let me explain their modus operandi. Almost all the decent profiles on this website are fake. They have profile images picked up from the Internet (and you can confirm this by reverse looking up the image on Google). It is definitely a fraud scheme. You will receive a lot of emails from many genuine-looking people till you don’t sign up (all the content in the email will be hidden, the profile image of that person will be so tiny that you wont discern anything). Every day you will get an email you are popular and you should pay them money to contact people, all fake and obviously bots!

I found the site very confusing. It's not at all user friendly. The selection of men were very poor (creepy in fact). You are re-billed even if you cancel your profile. You must call an 800 number with a long waiting list. And refunds are never issued. CS is hard to understand and hear. It is as though they intentionally make it difficult to speak with them. Pof.com is everything this site is not.

I tried out the 3-day trial for Cupid, and it was an okay site. The problem came when I tried to cancel the automatic renewal billing. I had to call a 1800 number and spoke with someone in India. To make it worse, I could barely understand her. I explained that I wanted to cancel the automatic renewal. She agreed and signed me up for a 1-month free membership. When I questioned her about the membership, she told me that I would be automatically billed at the end of the membership. Again, I told her I wanted to cancel and did not want automatic renewal billings.

I am embarrassed to say that I signed up for BeNaughty (affiliated with Cupid) on a three-day trial. I very quickly realized this was a bad idea and tried to cancel my subscription (they force you into a recurring subscription unless you cancel). I both used the online process to cancel and called Cupid. I was told at the time that they were sorry that I didn't like the service and offered me one month free. I thought I had made it clear that I wanted to cancel and thought they were just giving me one month's free service in the hopes that I would change my mind and sign up again. In fact, what they did was to not cancel my subscription at all.

I was absolutely horrified recently when both a customer along with friends and family informed me that they had seen dating agency advertising banners on YouTube and Facebook with my face. I was sent copies of these advertisements and was furious that Mature Dating UK was using a picture of me to advertise their company. I found out that this company is a subsidiary of Cupid PLC and immediately contacted them. Upon relaying my complaint to the call advisor, I was told in very poor English by a call representative Isaac that he would not be passing this onto management and I would have to put my complaint in writing. I explained this was unacceptable as this false and unauthorized advertisement is damaging to my image. Isaac did not apologize nor seem bothered by my distress.

I logged in at Cupid.com, but my I.D. somehow arrived at BeNaughty and at Wild Buddies too. All three are Cupid PLC sites. Numerous emails were received from attractive younger women not in my city or even my country (Australia). Usually, they suggest that I email them at a Yahoo email to privately chat and receive private photos. I haven't done this step. If I request a meeting, they then never contact me again. But a few days later, another set of girls contacted me. Several months here being stringed along, I am now in the process of trying to leave all these sites. I suggest strongly that these sites be avoided if you are looking for a dating site.

I registered on Cupid.com nonlinear for free and never paid to upgrade my membership. I got daily email notifications that I received flirts. One day, I received a very disgusting email from a guy. I quickly went nonlinear and saw that I was on a meat market site called GetNaughty.com. I was horrified and called the 1-800 number and spoke to someone that definitely was not from the USA. He said that when you join Cupid.com, about one month later, they automatically put your profile on other sites they own. I was so angry. My picture and town I live in were on a ** site! I immediately cancelled everything and demanded to be removed from all their sites and wanted email confirmations on all of them which they did.

I signed up for a month's service. From the first second, I was inundated with spammers and scammers working to get personal information. The site was asking me to pay more to read certain emails from elusive people near me. It did not matter how many times I wrote a profile, it would never post. All my matches were scattered through out the world and not near me. I got the opportunity to read through some profiles. Some said thing like "Please do not contact me. I can't delete my account and I get billed to my credit card when you email me!" and others that say nothing at all, no pictures. Oh yes, and be very careful what you click on, you will be charged extra. Yeppers, I have had my account for 14 hours and what a nightmare. Please save yourself your time and your money. Use a trusted site and not this one.

I subscribed to a 3 day trial membership and canceled before the end of the membership. They claim I didn't and have withdrawn full membership fees. What caught my attention to this matter is the fact that they withdrew 2 membership fees in 1 month. On further review of my bank statements, they withdrew a full membership fee the same day as the trial fee. In the communications with Mr. **, he asked for my bank records. I have sent him 10 e-mails with the records attached, and he continuously claim that he didn't receive them. I sent them to Nichole ** from the same department, and was not told she didn't receive them. I finally asked for a fax number and was told that I could not be given that information. I tried sending the files to other addresses with no problems at all.

I signed up for a 3-day trial membership & canceled before time was up. On the day they took the trial fee, they also took a month's membership fee. What brought all of this to my attention is that, this month they took two payments out of my bank account, two days in a row. The only response I have received is that they will not refund my money, because I should have canceled before the end of the trial period.

This is rather a success story than a complaint. I thought other members of your page have the same problem and might find help with this.

Someone has taken a photo of me and posted it on cupid.com without my permission. What are the proper authorities need to handle this matter and complaint? Thank you.
