My online/on time payment was acknowledged with a confirmation number but the payment apparently never went through. I got my next statement with a "PAST DUE" and a $19.00 late charge. Attempts to contact them by email and phone have gone unanswered. Whoever CFNA is they are idiots. Why Firestone associates with them I cannot understand. A definite blemish on Firestone. I have had good service from the Firestone store.

I was given 6 mos to pay off my Firestone bill with no interest, so I did that. But there has been no update on my credit reports since 8/13/18. So I called to inquire about this and got told my having paid off the balance in full wouldn't show til about 10/13/18. And meanwhile, it looks like I still owe them almost $150. Plus, I paid it in cash, the quickest way I know of. I have no idea why it takes that long for FC to show you have a zero balance, but there you have it.

I see a lot of complaints about payments and late fees. You all are aware that you can pay at any Firestone free of charge. That is how I pay my bill with them. I walk in and tell the rep I want to pay my credit card. He give me my receipt. All done. Add the excellent service in and this is a win win for me.

I'm writing this review for people making a phone payment on their Firestone account to Credit First National Bank. I make a partial payment while I to Firestone and then the rest of my payment by phone as I was leaving the parking lot. When I made a phone payment I was given a confirmation number and hung up. come to find out they charged me a late fee and said I was supposed to stay on the line and hung up too soon so they have charged my account a late fee and had to pay the rest of my payment again which doesn't cover the late payment. I'm not eligible for a waiver until next Sept. So beware for some deceitful tactic of banks trying to squeeze money out of customers. Any way they can make a buck. To me it is a dishonest policy and payment should have been posted since it was made on time and before the payment date.

February 12, 2018, I inadvertently made a payment to Credit First National Association on an account with a zero balance. The logical and right thing to do was return it. But oh no, they issued it to the account. WHY? It has been at least two years since I last used that account. February 15, 2018, immediately after discovering my mistake I contacted CFNA to request a refund. After following their instructions went to the bank explained what happened, what was required to correct it. My personal bank representative spoke to their supervisor, verified required information. The supervisor promised I would receive the refund within 7-10 days which would be February 28, 2018.
March 9, 2018, (16 days past due) after not receiving the refund I again contacted CFNA, spoke to Heidi, explained the problem, she stated check was sent. I responded I did not receive it. She stated another check would be sent, but the original check would need to be researched to ensure it had not been cashed. She would call me on Monday, March 12th, 2018. At the time of this review, March 26, 2018, it has been 2 weeks and I have not received a response.
March 14th, called a third time spoke to Razon, explaining the problem again. She stated it would be thirty days before I could get it. I explained this was unacceptable. It has already been thirty days. At this point, I don't trust them and I believe I am not the only person that has had problems getting them to correct what "they" did. I am getting the runaround and will not continue to wait or talk with them. I am notifying you, potential customers, from their dealings with me they have not shown themselves to be an honest reputable company. I have notified them that if I did not receive my money I would do everything in my power that is legal to let others know of their dealings with customers. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Disgruntled former customer!!!

Enticed by Commerical Tire to purchase tires through their "easy" no interest for 6 months program, via CFNA. Well, like other folks the statement showed up late indicating a late fee for $35.00, then did other research and VERY UNLIKE, other financial offers such as Home Depot, etc., where truly 6 month no interest, means EXACTLY THAT. Well CFNA not only miscalculates for late fees like Wells Fargo did, but also WILL CHARGE YOU INTEREST ON THE ENTIRE AMOUNT IF YOU GO 1 HOUR BEYOND the 6 months. That is dishonest or misleading in advertising. At least Sears, or other entities that issue 6 month no interest, only charge interest on the remaining balance. DO NOT USE CFNA.

I have my account set up for automatic payment. However, a charge raised my minimum monthly payment and I was charged a $35 late fee. This happened for four months. When I finally caught it, I called Firestone and explained that my accounts are set up to automatically pay the minimum amount if my payment isn't enough to cover the required monthly payment.
I had forgotten that Firestone isn't set up for automatic monthly payments in that way. I asked them to waive the late fees, since I hadn't missed payments in the past, and I had immediately brought my account up to date when I realized my error. The rep told me it was my fault not theirs, so they weren't obligated to refund the late fees. I guess customer loyalty is bad for business. After all, late fees are all profit for no service provided!

I applied for this card through Firestone Auto Care when purchasing winter tires. I was approved for $1k and 6 months interest-free. No problem there. I'm one of those people who meticulously record, pay, and mail each bill at the post office immediately - and made no exception with this card. However, on each monthly statement, I've been charged a $25 late fee. My credit score has taken a massive hit.
After discussing the matters with my bank and reviewing the scans of each check and the Firestone/CFNA it is clear that although I wrote and mailed each check at the start of the payment period, these checks were not processed until well after the payment period ended over 25 days later, enabling them to charge me late fees. This is not okay. This is wrong. After looking at thousands of reviews and complaints, I now see that I am only one of thousands of people who have been victimized by this. Had I known beforehand, I never would have applied for this card. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

My payment is due the 13th of every month. I work until after 5, but when you go to pay your bill after 5, they will not schedule it until the 14th. You then get a late fee because it is late. When I called, the kid that answered the phone said nothing they can do and was cocky. Do not get this card if you are going to make your payments on the day your card is due. Last I checked there was 24 hours in a day, unreal and should be illegal with todays technology.

CFNA has made it as difficult as possible to pay my Firestone bill. They sent me ONE document a couple weeks after signing up for 6 months no interest, which stated my Credit Card would be in the mail shortly. Since that time, I have never received anything else from them. I have called numerous times. Only once did they give me enough information to setup my account on CFNA.com. Since then they still have not sent me my credit card and if you forget your username you need your CFNA Credit Card number to find your username.
If you try to call, give them your SS#, Name, and DOB, they will not give you your credit card number, your account number, or your username. They require your account number to get your account number!!! The Account number that is never shown on any of their emails. The Account number that I do not have because I have not received any mail since right after signing up. And yes, I have confirmed my address with this company. I cannot access my account and there is no way to access it. They put this system in place on purpose. To make it as difficult as possible to pay your bill. Someone should go to jail.

Applied a credit card through Credit First National Association via Firestone. Reason why is that I was suckered in by the "NO INTEREST FOR SIX MONTHS!" by store manager. I was not told if I didn't pay the full amount within six months, I will be paying the interest that was supposed to be for the first six months that I had the chance to pay the amount which was $1000.00 that had accumulated to an interest of $77.24. I was paying more of the minimum each month so that I would have less interest charged after the 1st six months. I shouldn't have agreed to open one. I should have know better. Anyways, not going to deal with Firestone or CFNA in the future. Or maybe the Firestone site manager didn't care about his customer. He just wanted to get his quotas to be on the top credit card seller.

My car broke down in May 2016. I wanted it close to my job so I could walk to and from when it was ready for pickup. The manager was great and I needed a lot of work, more than the card approved me for so he messed with the numbers and made it work. Anyway, fast forward to the first payment I get a late payment fee. Landed on a holiday. Figured my mistake so let it go. Well then I get another and call and complain... then another after that and they will not fix anymore. I have this card set up like every single one of my other bills and I pay on it every 2 weeks yet somehow the fates keep changing and I keep getting late fees!
Last month alone my bill was $39 for the month. I paid $60 in total and yet bow have a $35 fee! How does this work for ALL my other bills and I never have late fees on anything else ever!!! I split up my payments so that I even pay a little extra each month to stay ahead. Yet every time I turn around somehow paying every 2 weeks accrues late charges.
This is a terrible company with terrible customer service. Walking in the door the very first time was the only "good experience" and that was with a broken down vehicle. Made 2 appts there after that first one was a couple hrs late. It's whatever stuff comes up emergencies happen. It had just happened to me a few weeks prior when I broke down. I probably took over some appts too. I went in for an oil change as well as complaining that ever since they gave me new tires my pressure light stays on.
Well they couldn't figure it out and here we are almost an entire year later and it is still on. I can guarantee they gave me the wrong oil. The guy played it off that they just marked that, but he at first had no idea what I was even talking about. I guess since I am a female I wasn't suppose to know those things. I decided to give a second chance and the next time was still just as bad as a wait. Never again will I go to Firestone, use this card, and I have told EVERYONE to stay away as well.

I have a Firestone account. I have been making payments on my account since July of 2016, I had no idea that each and every month I have been getting late fees because I chose to make cash payments at the facility where I take my car. No one ever told me that if I make a payment in the store location that they were going to post it 1 day not 3 to 4 days. I make the payment on the 8th of the month and it has posted for the last 10 months on the 9th so a day later and I have been CHARGED 35 or LESS each and every month but I am supposed to know this but their automated systems says if you make a payment after 5 pm you are subject to late fees.
Well I have made mine's as a cash payment at 8 AM and got late fees, so pretty much you will only get a 70 credit and that is it per the manager that I had spoken with this morning and that as of today 04/22/17 I now understand their process. So there goes my 6 months same as cash because 210.00 all went to late fees and I was probably only paying 10 a month for the last 6 months, no wonder my BALANCE never moved too far. WOW what a joke.

Sept. 2016 bought new tires at local Firestone store $264.11. Store manager informed me that if I sign up for a Firestone Credit Card, that I will have 6 months interest free to pay off card, so I divided the balance into 6 monthly payments. Little did I know that the balance did not qualify for 6 months interest free. I have $117.00 in late fees. Firestone did not inform me that an minimum of $299.00 is the minimum that qualifies for 6 months interest free. They subtracted only one late fee.
I don't know if the store manager knows this, but the credit card company should have informed me and I could have avoided these late fees. But this company are scammers and they don't care. I am going to pay off balance and never use again unless necessary but will not carry a balance. I even told them that they should inform all Firestone managers/employees that there is a minimum balance for the interest free option. But again they mostly likely care. They just want scam and take your money, so beware.

This is by far of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Don't waste your time or your money on this company. They are thieves. I know many people that go through this company and after telling them what they did to me they will not continue with them. I paid these people almost 900 dollars to pay off for what services they did to my car. First of all FIRESTONE didn't even fix my car properly. Then when I wanted to pay them off they wouldn't accept the Discover card. Well that is all I had. Then when I talked to a supervisor. They said that it was fine to mail in a money order. Well I live in Phoenix AZ and their company in OHIO. They knew that it would take a while and then after I sent the rest left they tried to tack on late charges because it didn't get there in time when I was well assured that that was okay that I sent the money order in. DON'T waste your time. They stole plenty of my hard earned little money that I made.

Just reviewed February bill online - said I have a $35.00 late fee. I called and CFNA said they emailed me my bill for Feb on 1/27/17. I have no bill or email reminder. I have to pay another $35.00. So no I have given CFNA $25 & $35 = $60. I cannot afford their cheating game. I closed the account and will pay off this credit this week. I pay all of my credit cards online. CFNA ("Firestone CC") is the only site I consistently have trouble with. The site no longer recognizes my account (even though I'm using the 'saved' passwords on my computer) and now even their voicemail is acting up. Since I couldn't get the online site to work properly, I called their 1-800 number, which put me into 'voicemail hell' as it continually refused to recognize my payment. It just kept asking, "Would you like to make a payment?" (I just made one, thank you... At least, I THINK I DID! Guess I'll have to check my bank statement to make sure.) I am a long time customer have always paid on time. I tried to set up auto pay by phone in August. I was not advised that it was a one time deal. I didn't receive any notices stating that my account was past due and I was late. I found this information out from my credit report. I was furious as this dropped my score tremendously. I called spoke with a rep about the issue. She informed me that I could make a payment now. No explanation on why I didn't receive a late notice before my account was 31 days past due. I asked about the auto pay. She informs me "we do not do auto to pay". I am confused.
I set this up in August. She states "no that was a one time thing" - I asked, "Why wasn't I informed of this?" No response. I ask, "Do you not call your customer(s) if you see their account is past due and the records shows they pay on time." Her response "we call some customers and some we don't". I ask, "How do you pick/choose which customers to call?" Her response "you need to write a letter to the company president to ask him." Wow! Unbelievable!!
I ask to speak with someone else other than her. She get's her "supervisor". She informs me that no they do not do auto pay and I could set schedule payments up online. Well this is the first I have heard of being able to set payments up online. I asked her the same question about calling customer(s). She informs me that my payment history states that I would likely pay. Well yes if I had of known that it was not going to be auto drafted.
When I asked about the late report to my credit, "Oh there is nothing we can do about it. It will change once you make the payment." I am livid by this point. I just say good bye. Now to add insult in injury I go to set up payments so I can get this card paid off and close this account, only to not be able to set up an account. I get a message to call customer service. Needless to say that is not an option right now. I am too upset.
This is the first review I have ever written as I just don't take out the time to do so. I was so frustrated of how this company handles their business to be so unprofessional, I had to write a review. After seeing all the negative reviews, I really don't understand how this is expectable. I will inform everyone that I come in contact with about the unprofessionalism of this company! I truly wished I would have know this before doing business with this company. I can only hope that something will be done about the way this company treats its loyal customers. I got this card for the 6 months of no interest. I pay all my bills on time and I'm very careful not to let one lapse. The CFNA site won't allow you to set up automatic payments, which is the first bad sign in my book. They will let you set up payments for up to 3 months though. I work on a computer all day and know how to use one. I pay almost all of my bills online. When I set up the first payment to come out prior to my due date, it appeared to go through like it should. (It doesn't show anything like "Payment Accepted" to let you know though.) The due date rolled around and it did not come out. I was charged a $23 late fee! I called, but they wouldn't remove the fee. Since then, in the middle of the month I randomly pay the minimum just in case. They make it confusing on purpose. It's almost paid off. I've already cut up the card!

I have had a Firestone card for at least 15 years. I think that was even before Credit First. I am very on top of my finances and am never late or forget a payment. I check their website twice a month when I have an ongoing balance to make sure everything is correctly posted. For this company, all of this mandatory. The result is I get six months free financing on my tires. It has worked well for me but don't use the card if you are not willing to put in the time checking up to be sure your account is updated; use another credit card or pay cash and be safe.

I wish I had read these reviews before I let them talk me into an account. Same exact scenario as those mentioned above. Buying tires at the local Firestone store 4 years ago and I got the hard sell on this card from the assistant manager (who must get commission for signing folks up). So, I was a good customer, paid off promotional rate on time. 2 years later a family member used my card for an oil change (unbeknownst to me), apparently they switched me to a paperless bill. I didn't pay the lousy $40 because I DIDN'T know about it. 3 months later I get an overdue notice which I immediately called and paid. A customer service rep told me "don't worry, this won't hurt your credit".
Fast forward to today: so for the past few months I've been monitoring my credit. Score was consistently 785ish. Went to get a mortgage for a new home and discovered that when they did a "hard pull" my score was 715. Needless to say that affected our mortgage greatly. When I called them I got the same runaround that everyone else has described. I'm furious!!! So to sum up, if I had gone to Goodyear 4 years ago or just paid cash (like I knew I should have), I would be getting a better interest rate and paying less fees at closing on my new house. Thanks CFNA.

It turns out that I made an error in writing my account number. I thought it was weird because I used the same number I have used with other EFTs and never had a problem. I applied for and was approved for a card through Credit First in January when my dad's 2001 Tahoe needed a new alternator. I have made online payments on the card and it says on the website that the payments posted to the CFNA account, but they never deducted from my personal bank account. This really makes me nervous as I feel like they are going to try and hit my account at an unexpected time. I know for a fact that I put down the correct routing and account number for my bank. Another auto repair loan credit card I have, CarCareONE, has no issues deducting from my account and I am satisfied with their service. However, CFNA seems very shady and I feel as if they are going to hit me with unwarranted charges thanks to their negligence in taking my payments.
In addition, Firestone (at least the one I went to) is a shady automotive shop that overcharges for shoddy work, and on top of that they sign you up for a gimmicky credit card. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with either Firestone or Credit First. I am trying to build my credit back up to get myself a car and an apartment soon, and this institution certainly is hurting that cause.

Never sign up to go paperless. They never send you reminders or bill updates. They want you to forget so they can hit you with late charges. I have a bill reminder on my phone. My phone broke so I work by paperless bills from my emails. I have about 20 bills that I pay a month, all paperless. All got paid but Credit First because they never sent a electronic reminder. 2 months later I get a letter saying that I am two months behind on my account with a 25.00 late charge and a 35.00 late charge. I tried talking to customer service and a customer service manager. Mind you I have used this card for over 5 years, never been late, paid out accounts and open new labor jobs. She said they could not help me. OMG.
This is not happening to me. I know well I am not one to go back and forth on a phone so I will pay out this bill, cut up the card which I have already and never use Firestone service again. Someday someone will make the foundation of Firestone and Credit First. Feel cheated and taken for a bumpy ride as they made me feel. Firestone overcharges for labor and work is half done. Who charges 900.00 to put in a fuel pump on a SUV when all you have to do is take out about 6 screws, lower the tank, knock off the top with a driver and hammer, take out old, put in new, line up top, press down and tap in top, push up tank, put in screws at home. About a 2-hour job in a shop with 2 people. 30 min tops. Goodbye Firestone. Goodbye Credit First. Sign, one of your best customers.

Instead of calling me and notifying me of a late payment, they cancelled my card, reported me to the credit bureau and ruined my credit. I had this card about 4 years. Over the course of 4 years they have constantly changed their credit card agreement. I finally have taken this matter to a consumer fraud lawyer regarding their unethical practices. They advertise 6 months interest-free, but if you have a revolving credit none of your payments go towards that balance until 2 months beforehand. They will not allocate any of your payments if you ask them to. They told me they were not set up to allocate payments and they are withing the 2009 credit card law to do so. I submitted a complaint with the consumer fraud site and went back and check all statements over the last year. I found 2 promo balances that they never applied any payments toward the last 2 months like they state in their agreement that they would. I ask everyone to go through all your statements. The day I got home from Firestone I set up four installments to be paid through my bank to First Credit NA. FCNA got all four payments. The last of the four payments left my bank on the 4th of the month and took 11 days to get to their offices in Cleveland. I think the pony express could have gotten it there in half the time.
After lengthy discussion about how this will affect my credit score and all the scare tactics they use to pimp you for $19, I looked here on Consumer Affairs site and found that this "company" should be shut down! I am in the process of buying a house, so completely forgot about this good standing account. Last night I received a notice from my credit monitoring service, that my score dropped 80 points! Due to a delinquent payment. Guess who? I received no communication from CFNA in regards to a bill or late payment. No paper bill, no email, no phone call... nothing. Terrible website not friendly, people there try not to respond to your needs or questions; never on the same page to help resolve issues. False statements to Credit Bureau.

I cannot believe a company can get away with deciding which charges they are going to post payments to. My son opened an account for new brakes and the balance was part of a promotion. So he had 6 months to pay the balance without having to pay any interest. A couple of months later, I used the account for a couple of tires. All the payments I made went towards the tires and not the brakes, so now we are being charged the interest! When I called customer service I was told payments are applied to any non-promotional charges first. This is complete **! Payments should be applied to the OLDEST balance! This is very unfair and crappy service!

I opened an account w/ CFNA to replace 4 tires at Firestone. I let them e-Bill instead of paper. Huge mistake. After having faithfully made monthly payment more than the minimum payment for 7 months, I was 2 days late in making my payment. After that they continued to increase my payment due & assess higher & higher past due fees. Since I did not receive a paper bill & only used the payment area of their website, I had no idea I was accumulating all of these fees. I continued to make my payment & in June I scheduled 3 months worth of payments still having no idea there was a problem.
Today I checked balance as I knew I was lose to pay off and was shocked to find I owed more now than in April. When I called customer service it was like talking to a robot. The representative said "I can tell you exactly where all the fees came from." That is when I learned that this was all a result of 1 payment made 2 days late. When I said I thought this was not a very customer friendly way to do business and why didn't I get some kind of notice of the past due bill, she insisted they always call. I told her I never received a call. She said she would check my number in a tone that sounded like, "yea, sure". The representative made no attempt whatsoever to do the right thing and drop the fees compounded on that original 2 day late payment. The supervisor I requested was not any better. As I told her, "you could use some training in the art of active listening." I basically felt like I was talking to myself, as the supervisor also had no interest in doing the right thing.

I have never had so much problems with a credit card. I noticed that I was getting charged late fees when I had paid my bill the month before so I called the company and they said that they see that I got charged the month before as well. Now yes I am late lately a lot but not these 2 months and he said that I was paying my bill too early and it was going towards the month before's bill. He said he could not do anything about July's bill but gave me $35 for August bill. Looking at my statements they also charged me in March and May.
Why am I paying late fees for paying my bill 2 or 3 weeks before due date. One day was the day of my due date and was still charged. I complained to them online and they wrote back all the legal bs and rules but did not explain reason for charging fees. They just said late payments fees will be charged for late payments. When I paid on 7/27 $200 and my due date was 8/13 for around $48.00 how is that late and I also paid 6/23 $100 and due date was 7/13. These people are scammers, I will pay this off as quickly as possible and never use again.

CFNA is the worst credit card company I have worked with. I am disabled & have requested them to change my due date to coincide with my disability check. They have refused & this has made it hard for me. Yesterday I had heart problems & was past the cut off time paying online - this will mean a late fee unless I can get them to reverse it. I have no difficulty in paying all of the rest of my credit accounts or my other bills - this is the only one that is difficult for me since it is all by itself (in terms of due date). I only have so many days that I feel up to doing bills and it helps a great deal to sit down and do all of them at one time.
I have requested a change in date from other companies and have had no difficulty - the other companies have been glad to make changes to help. The CFNA representative said I could pay early - but not too early (or it wouldn't count for the next month's payment). It almost seems as if they want me to accidentally pay late so that they can charge me a late fee. They are not sympathetic at all when it is due to medical issues (even life threatening). And it is not as if I am really late paying - the times I have been off it has been a matter of 30 minutes after the time (or something along those lines). I cannot wait to pay these people off...as it is, the last time that I went to Expert Tire (Firestone) they seem to me to have made up a lot of issues about my car (requiring a very high mechanic bill) and the car was worse off after being there!

I am shocked to hear about the horrible reviews thus far of this company. My husband and I have been pleased with our credit account with CFNA. We haven't paid interest on car repair work thanks to their 6 month free interest. We've had some costly repairs, but if you have the means to pay it off in 6 months, this account is gold. The "catch" is that you have to spend at least $299 before tax to get this promotion. What others also don't realize is that if that balance (even if there is 10 dollars left and the promo time expires) is not paid in full by the promo end, you will pay interest on the WHOLE amount you originally financed. Not just that 10 dollars.
I am a banker by profession so I keep a close eye on agreements and the "fine print." As long as you pay your balance off within 6 months you don't pay interest. I normally divide the payment into 6 and then make my first payment to include the change on the balance so that you know (with whole numbers) you aren't being charged a finance charge when your statement arrives. I hope this helps. It all depends on how you use this card and who you deal with. The Firestone location closest to my home is terrible but a guy named ** at the Bob Wallace location changed my mind about Firestone and he is now the only person I use and trust in the Huntsville AL market. I drive across town for him specifically to do my work. Cfna is not all bad. Just really read and understand what your signing and ask questions!!! :)

I have been late with payments, but although I have paid $165.00 of the $204 owed originally, my balance owed is $207.33. Even with late payment fees, I find this totally unreasonable. I advise anyone doing business with Firestone to refrain from getting a credit card with this company. I will certainly never do business with Firestone again.

Cfna, aka Firestone credit is a disgrace. They encourage online payments, and I use this if for no other reason than using their representatives is a 10.00 fee, and paying at the store creates a backlog situation where billing is not necessarily updated with data bases from stores in a timely fashion. Consequently, you can make a store payment up to 3 days early, and they will still assess a late fee because the stores and the credit card payment databases are not aligned.
So, the website is the best option short of snail mail for payments. BUT, even here you run into problems. Apparently, if you make your payment ON THE DUE DATE, but after 5 pm eastern standard time, they will count it as the next business day, and charge you a late fee, ANYWAY. The problem with CFNA, and apparently, Firestone credit, is their antiquated billing systems. Even the website seems like something designed by a 15 year old, if not younger. It is the only credit card I own where you can't just think to yourself, oh, the payment is due today. No, you have to consider your time zone, the time of day, and so on. It's ridiculous. Combine that with the high interest rate on the card, and it's basically grab and go for Firestone. I won't be using this service again. It is more inconvenient than convenient.
One last word of warning, the late fee assessed if you get one, is equal to the amount due. If you owe 19.00 dollars as a payment, and are late, even by 10 minutes, which was the case here, the late fee is 19.00. If you have a 34.00 payment due, the late fee will be 34.00. This begs the question. Late fees were designed to protect the company from the failure of customers to pay. If you pay your bill at 5:10 pm, on the due date, it is past their cut off by ten minutes. Did this REALLY cost the company 19 dollars? Hell no is the answer. Anyone considering CFNA , just don't. They are not providing you with a service, they are billing you for a service that is antiquated, has severe data base corporation problems, and is backed up by a team of call center representatives who basically act as if they simply tolerate your call.

I had paid my bill by the due date at the store and on my next bill I had a late fee from my last payment but why, I ask. The due date is not actually the due date. If you are paying the bill in the store you must get your payment paid well before the due date on your bill. I had requested it be reversed and it was. I then knew for future payments to pay well before the due date if paying at the store. I now have been paying before due date and payments are still not being received at cfna on time and I receive more late fees. This is bull crap. I have no interest for 6 months because it helps me save money and pay for unexpected repairs on my vehicle. But this is just a way for cfna to make up for that. Bs!!

I went to Firestone for tire change 3 years ago and was trapped into this CFNA credit card for 6 months to pay the purchase amount. After I received the credit card, I then realize it's a "credit card" and a new account was created in my credit history. I blamed it on my ignorance initially as I was relatively new to American financial culture.
While my credit history was always good to excellent from past 7-8 years of my existence in USA, I received a phone call from CFNA back in October 2013 where customer service personnel asked me to make an outstanding payment with CFNA (apparently I missed one of my payment on this occasion). So I let her know I am ready to clear up any due pending and don't want any further interest and if she can help me avoiding additional charges that might have been paid. She never told me about minimum payment due and that she wasn't even taking care of the late payment charge of 20$ which was already applied prior to her call. Anyways, I paid the amount she asked and verified with her if that takes care of any outstanding amount? Answer was yes.
Come January 2014 I took another service at Firestone and towards the end of month on 1/29/2014 I went to verify online if I can now pay the new balance. Instead what I see there was another 50$ additional late payment charge which was due to an outstanding balance still from Oct 2013. So when I called Firestone, the customer service informed if I pay in full there will be no issues. However this time I was firm on the fact they should at least excuse the additional 50$ which they charged as it was communication gap during the October '13 conversation. And this made them talk quite harshly and they were ready to term my account. When I asked that can I get the contact where I can file my complaint regarding my disappointment with the customer service, they said we will take care of your 50$ late payment. So it ended up well for both of us.
Now these shrewd and crooked customer service executives of CFNA reported regarding delinquency of my account on 1/29/2014 when I spoke to them. Now I am surprised how can my account be delinquent after I already made the payment in full??? If they had to report why didn't they do it earlier??? And now my credit history rating changed from excellent to fair losing close to 100 points :-( Yesterday, 2/1/2014, when I called them back, the customer service executive "Melissa" was very rude and said there is law that we can't report back to credit bureau that your account is now current. I am very disappointed with these folks!

I see everybody complaining (I was late by 2 days, or I paid $5 less than the minimum and they charged late fees and all this interest). Guess what? You broke the deal not them. I'm sorry. Also if you pay a bill through your banks online bill pay then the credit card companies promise of same day online bill pay doesn't work. Because of the way banking works they don't even know that you sent them money for several days (could be up to 14 days or longer if security concerns or holidays delay the process) as these transactions go through the Federal Reserve. Also everyone saying their customer support is subpar? Every time I have called their office I have been greeted quickly and my issues were resolved fairly.

I was persuaded by my local Firestone store to open the account and enjoy six months interest free. I determined to pay more than the minimum amount and clear the balance early so I went ahead. At some point I opted for paperless billing and when the card arrived, I set up online payment and made my first payment. I received no notice of payment by email but rather an email stating payment due. It was at this point, about a month after the purchase, that I searched the website and found the monthly statements that, to my horror, depicted interest charges and late fees. I called CFNA and an agent told me that my initial payment had been used to defray the balance but none of it applied to the monthly payment due because I had missed a deadline (the auto work was done four days prior to the end of a billing cycle and I was out of town and unavailable to open the envelope the day the card arrived.)
I was also informed that only part of a second payment would be applied toward monthly payment due and the rest used to defray balance. Also that I needed to make additional payments during a window of time to have them credited toward the payment due each month. After the agent agreed to delete the late fees I said that I would be clearing the entire balance within a few days. Just yesterday I checked that the first statement had indeed been amended to show no charges, but that the second mentioned both late fees and interest. According to the main page of the website, however, the entire balance owing was exactly the amount of the original billing minus every penny I had paid them so far, so I arranged to pay off the remaining balance at once, using the link to my checking account as before.
I was issued a transaction number and a visit to that main page now reveals the final payment made and zero balance and zero fees owing. HOWEVER my bank shows no payments and none pending, which is usually the case once another agency accepts a payment in this way. WHAT I INTEND TO DO: Stay on top of this until everything is cleared up to my satisfaction. In addition to reporting here, I am ready to contact the office of my State's Attorney General and send copies of that letter to each of the credit reporting agencies asking them to add my explanation to their files.

The same thing happened in January for the first time and they did reverse my late fee since I have never ever been late with a payment before, however, they refused to do so again in Feb. even though I have proof from my bank that they received the money before the due date. I did not change the way I was paying them because I thought there was some computer problem with them in January, but apparently there's some change in their system on how to handle payments received on due date which I believe is completely wrong. They told me that they were going to make the adjustments to the bill and I told them that I was going to pay it off in full. When I called First Credit and told them the interest charges were never taken off they said they would not remove them because I should've contacted them when I didn't receive a bill. They told me that I purchased tires from them before so I should have the # and the address. I told them that since I purchased tires from them on several occassions in the past and always used the same store that they shoul have my correct address and I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. I told them that I was going to pay it in full minus the finance charges. They said that it didn't matter I would still have to pay the finance charge. I wasn't going to pay them at all because I was so upset, but then decided to pay them only what I owed them. Since then I have written to The Better Business Bureau and to Consumer Affairs.
They told the Better Bussiness Bureau that they told me they would take the finance charges off if I made my payment right away...which is a lie they told me I would have to pay it no matter what and got very nasty about it.
