Have had this account almost 10 years and never had an issue. I made a purchase on 9/11/25 and always do the 6 mos no interest pay off. Went to make a payment and noticed $7.98 was charged to it. It says the charges were fo 2 - $3.99 for Paper statement fee. I've never been charged for a paper statement. So I checked the bill and did not see anything stating I was going to be charged for a paper statement. Called customer service and spoke with someone stating that on 9/5/25 notices went out going over this and I knew about it. I let them know I did not receive notice of it or I would've definitely not called to speak with them. I asked for the fees to be removed as I was not notified nor was it on the bill as a reminder or anything and I was met with we will remove one but that's it as we are only allowed to remove one for the lifetime of the account.

I escalated the call to a supervisor and was told they would not remove the other fee as it was my fault and they sent the notice out. I've tried explaining I've not received said notice. I have since talked to SEVERAL others and they as well did NOT know there were now paper statement fees. I will pay it as it's MY credit that gets screwed with but not too sure I will ever use their card again. Not sure what the change was but their customer service is horrible all of a sudden. Employees are rude and absolutely do not value the customer. I've never had to have a credit added to my account before and always paid my balance off well before due dates.

Not worth it. My total is a little over $500 9 months later, paying more than minimum day due and I still owe $386! Absolutely ridiculous, do NOT get this card. APR is crazy high. Also what they charge at Firestone is high period.

On what was advertised as a complimentary 6-month payment plan, I was charged $25.38 extra on my first month billing statement for “paper notification.” Customer Service was unwilling to remove this fee.

Every month they fail to charge my card for my monthly payment. They say the payment failed. I’ve tried bank accounts and debit cards. Each month after this happens I must call them to make my payment which means waiting on hold sometimes for an hour.

CFNA are straight up thieves. I went against my gut feeling and got the card through Firestone but it was the worst decision ever. My first payment had to be made over the phone because of an address mix up. I tried multiple times trying to pay more than the minimum and it would not go through until I decided to pay the minimum. Second payment through the app went through fine but the third payment? Conveniently, I see the message, “Our system is currently unavailable. Please contact customer service for assistance.” I call in to make the payment, the automated system keeps failing. Tried getting through to an agent but failed again. CFNA clearly did not want their money but gladly charged me a late fee. This company/bank is a racket. I would not encourage anyone to do business with them.

Let me start by saying I believe Goodyear also offers a credit card that’s similar to this. Maybe they’ll be better because This is the worst bank I’ve ever had to deal with. I had a returned auto payments about a year ago. Normally, if something like that happens, then I get a call or a text and then I go in and I make a payment and that’s the end of it. I’ve had all of my other accounts for years and years, and sometimes the money is not there, but it’s not a problem when I go pay it immediately when I find out that it didn’t go through. But that is not how it works with these people. Apparently they quit taking payments from me after I had one returned payment. I’ve been unable to use them.

The problem is that every time I call they say that I had to return payment because of insufficient funds. And I tell them that that is not the case that I had the money and I have the money right now and I’m trying to make a payment on the website and it’s not going through. They try to take a payment over the phone and they say no it’s been returned because of insufficient funds. I say no there’s no insufficient fund situation here. I’m looking at my account right now. The money is there. The problem is on your end.

I have literally had this conversation every single month for almost a year. A couple of months ago I spoke with a supervisor. I wish I could put her name here, but I don’t remember it. She was so argumentative and horrible. She argued with every single thing that I said and told me I was wrong every single way she could. I said let’s call the bank together so you can see that this is not me not having fun that this is a problem with your website. So she reluctantly agreed and we called in. The bank said no. There have been no return payments for (however, many months this has been going on) from CFNA. The lady was shocked and said oh OK. I guess it is us. She said she would fix it. I called 10 times and she never called me back but one of my payments ultimately went through online so I thought it was fixed. I set up my auto payments and went on my way.

Today I got a message that my account was behind again. I tried to make a payment online and it wouldn’t go through and the same thing happened. The person I talked to said it was an NSF and he tried to take a payment and said it didn’t go through because I had insufficient funds. I told him again. I’m looking at my account right now. I haven’t had any other payments returned all month long. I’ve got money in the account right now. That is not the issue. This is the same issue. I’ve been trying to deal with for a year with you people now. He said from now on I have to go pay cash in the store like I’m some awful person who has a bunch of return payments! What is happening? This is absolutely insane. They’re in ability to identify and correct. The problem with my account is unbelievable to me.

I felt like I was in the twilight zone or something until I saw almost 300 other one star reviews, and only one star reviews for this bank! Guys, thank you so much for taking the time to share your negative experiences with this terrible Bank. I feel so much better knowing this. It made me feel bad you know? Being treated like this. It made me feel bad. And I knew I didn’t deserve it. So really, thank you for taking that time to write your one star reviews. And now here’s another one so if you’re having a hard time with them, maybe my review will make you feel a little bit better because if you’re dealing with your customer service, apparently you are having a hard time. Because 100% one star reviews it’s really saying something. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

This is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have had stellar credit for years and I take it very seriously. In November I had car issues - bill was approx 976 before the holidays - why don't you take out a card - 6 mo no interest if you pay it off. Sure ok. BIG MISTAKE - made the first installment - (you can't even pay them electronically from your bank - only checks) they claimed they received it late and slapped on a 29.00 late fee. I asked if they would waive the fee as a courtesy and they told me to email them and they would consider it -

I was like no way am I going to deal with this in the future - and mailed the entire balance 2 days later - so the transaction is paid in full - and I was not only declined to waive the late fee - but now they are tacking on late fees and interest - and put a blemish on my credit report. I am not paying them anything additional. I understand if I owe you a balance on a transaction for a service provided but this is just gluttony. And not to mention they call you every single day sometimes 2x a day from random numbers. Stay as far away from this company as you can. Terrible.

CFNA Bank is the absolutely WORST BANK that I have ever dealt with. Their telephone customer service is not polite, and when I finally got to a supervisor that was even worse. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU NEVER USE THIS ORGANIZATION. If there was a rating of zero (0) stars, this is what I would rate this place.

This is the absolute WORST credit card. I speak to them on the phone and they say you can schedule up to 6 payments and so I schedule 1 payment to pay off the $68 charge for an oil change yet it does not process before the due date and suddenly I have $29 late fee and $2 interest payment so for a $68 charge they want me to pay $99. I call them to dispute it and they ask when did I call them. I tell them, "You recorded the call I didn't so look at your records." They say they cannot waive late fees or interest. They refuse to put a supervisor on the phone. I have stellar credit and CFNA is trying to create a blemish on my account. We should have a class action lawsuit if any lawyer is willing to take the case.

I have had numerous credit cards over the years, many of which have been open for well over a decade. I used to copyedit for a consumer financial education company. So I'm very well versed in what is normal and what isn't. This company is by far the worst, most shameless entity I have ever encountered in the seemingly "traditional" credit/lending market (e.g. not predatory). The problem is, the way they do business IS predatory. First, like others I got hooked into the credit card via a small Firestone offer. I should clearly never have bothered given what was to come. After paying off that first and only charge in 2023, I later got an ad in ~Spring 2024 alerting me that if I did an oil change by Oct 26, 2024 that I'd get a $50 statement credit. I kept the card safe and took the car in -- early in fact, as it wasn't due yet -- for the oil change. It was not/not a convenient time to do it, but I wanted to use the offer.

Firestone had no idea what I was talking about the day I did the oil change, and at the store itself I only had the card and not whatever mailing I received that showed the statement credit. Firestone definitely told me it would be on the credit card end. (It never was.) I hadn't used the card at that point in about a year. I didn't remember that they weren't sending a physical bill. I didn't get a notification about the payment being due until it was already late. Eventually I found a message in spam from a few weeks earlier, but when I called them in December to report that I no longer knew where I had kept the card (after using it in Oct) and I hadn't received the bill, to please credit me for the interest/fees. The rep argued and wasted time, wanting to only credit part of the fees. Eventually he said he was crediting me the full late fee. I followed up asking about the nominal interest; he said he wasn't going to credit that.

I told him that's not how every other card company works giving a one-time per year courtesy to reverse fees and with them the interest drops off too -- can't have one without the other. The rep who had been rude from the beginning refused to do anything at that point, even when I asked for a supervisor. He also told me at that time that receiving the statement via mail would require paying for the statement each month -- $3-4. I have never, ever heard of that either... I mean, really? In any case, he said he was transferring the call, and then he never did. I waited on hold for another 15 min or so, but then gave up since it was clear that rude rep likely made the transfer fail on purpose. That's how rude he was. No one ever called me back even though I clearly was asking for the supervisor.

So -- these are my takeaways re: this company:
-- Bait and switch with the $50 statement credit.
-- Entrapment / charging consumers for a billing statement -- So slimy.

-- Getting away with whatever fees they can because they think it's a good business practice instead of doing what all other non-predatory lenders do, and give people the benefit of the doubt for prior great payment history.

In sum: This is by far the WORST credit company I've ever seen. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should investigate them.
