This is by far and away one of if not the worst credit card company I've had the displeasure to deal with. They are nothing more than a "gotcha" card that sounds good on paper, but in practice is so toxic they make sewage sound clean. Do yourself the favor in listening and heeding the negative reviews. They're customer service starts at a call center which I can't say enough negative things about, will give you contradictory statements and blatantly lie to your face about things you ask of them.

Just know every conversation whether it'd be for understanding our options will circle back to you paying the bill, and are nothing more than corporate mouthpieces with little care for the customer. The same can be said about the management all the way up to the executives which I've personally contacted after retrieving there contacts; this includes department heads and even the CEO.

I was one of the many mass lay offs in 2025 and underwent hardship(s) in the months that followed. I reached out and spoke with CFNA and their many reps more times than I can count on both hands and feet with some even stating that missing two payments you may be eligible for a payment plan, only to have my credit massively impacted and then being told "well you should've made the payment. To reiterate I was told that in doing so I would eligible for a payment plan, jokes on me for trusting this terrible company. Thus, the vicious circle of BS continued, to now.

I'm actively looking to find a balance transfer card and rid myself of this scummy company and never look their way again. I have so many more grievances to state but I'll leave it at this, do yourself the favor and steer clear of this terrible company and the practices they implement, you're better off signing up for an actual credit card with actual known and reviewed entities than this trash company (CFNA).

This Credit First Support company is the most unprofessional and outrageous company I have ever dealt with and I am a 75 year old man. I had my car towed to TGK automotive by AAA because it would not start. Their technician diagnosed the problem as a dead cell in the battery. I told them to replace it and while they had it to change the oil & filter as well. I have done business with TGK in the past and have full faith in them as far as their work and accurate testing for the problem. Their pricing is very fair, and to be more honest, they are friendly and just nice people. The bill came to $348.67 and the manager suggested that we apply for the Sun Auto Credit Card and we would get a $25.00 discount and 6 Months interest free if the balance were paid in full within 6 months. He handed me his phone and said I could apply and get an instant response.

Unfortunately I did just that and much to my surprise I was denied approval. I called them immediately and spoke to a very rude 'customer service' rep who told me I would get a letter of why I was denied their credit card within 5 to 7 days. I just received their form letter with a very generic reason of "Your application has been declined because your application contained unsatisfactory or unverifiable information." I immediately called them and spoke to another very rude 'customer service' rep that spoke very broken english that was hard to understand so I asked for a supervisor. She identified herself as a supervisor (which I very much doubted was the truth) and told me I would have to contact them in writing to get a more detailed answer of my "unsatisfactory or unverifiable information."

At this point I intend to consult my attorney tomorrow because my Transunion credit score is 823, my income is in excess of $135,000.00 and I own my home with no mortgage. This is highly insulting and embarrasses me at the TGK Automotive Service as well, so I intend to get satisfaction from this Credit First/ Sun Auto Credit Card company. I would warn anyone to avoid this company at all costs, and use another way to pay for your product or services. By the way I paid the $348.67 bill at TGK with my American Express Gold Card, so I assume American Express has lower credit requirements and standards than Credit First National Association.

No stars if I could. I paid 3-1-26, online bill pay thru my bank. Verified their address and my acct number. Rep told me Fiserv returned payment. I think I gimmick to charge fees. April 1, once again same problem. I have 807 credit, I paid $5.99 finally, to pay thru my debit card. Cfna still shows no payment. My bank sent letter to me and cfna, about March payment was processed but not applied. NEVER USE THIS CARD, LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS. HORRIBLE.

Worst customer service. Hidden fees. Charging me $3.99 for paper statements. I never signed up for. Spoke to 4 different people on the phone. One being a manager. Every single one told me something different. One of them ask for my driver license number. I said “ you don’t need my drivers license number. I verified my account number. They said I have to take care this on line. I said on line says call consumer service. One lady yelled at me because I wanted a refund for these charges.

Not a good company. The interest rate is way too high and the random late fees make it even worse. I wouldn’t recommend CFNA. They called me 7 times in one day. They will harass you. Customer service is not good. I had to give at least 1 star to submit the review. I give ZERO STARS.

This is by far the worst and most predatory creditor around. Do not use them. Do not trust them. It's not worth it. I promise! They purposely don't notify you of payments, don't let you pay off your card, don't process payments on time. There's just ripping us off every day.

I applied for a CFNA card at Firestone in 2021 during a car emergency for my grandparents. Like many, I was drawn in by the '12 months interest-free' offer on a $4,000 limit. The Reality: Life happened. I lost my job and had to use the card for basic necessities. Once that 12-month window closed, the interest hit me like a ton of bricks. My APR started at 29% and has gradually climbed to a staggering 33.47%.

The Trap: As a New Mexico resident, I now know this is dangerously close to our state’s 36% cap (House Bill 132) meant to stop predatory lending. Every payment I make feels like it’s being swallowed by interest. If you miss even one payment, the late fees and rate hikes make it impossible to catch up without taking out another loan. My Advice: Do NOT view this as an 'extra' source of money for necessities. Unless you can pay it off in full before the 12 months are up, the interest will eat you alive. It is a domino effect that is incredibly hard to escape.

Do not use this credit card! It’s the only credit card I have ever used that is an absolute scam. I spoke with the customer service supervisor and she said no one else has complained about how you can use your rewards. Unbelievable! That can’t be true! I told her I wanted to talk to the person that decided how these rewards can be used and she said that they don’t take phone calls! Of course they don’t! They are just sitting in their office making stupid decisions for the consumer and making more money for themselves and making their staff deal with all the people that are angry about it. Still waiting on a phone call from the person who decides how the rewards are used.

I’m not going to hold my breath! If you have $140 in rewards (4- $10 rewards and 1-$100 reward) that expire all on different dates (1 in March, 3 on different dates in May and 1 in July), I can’t use all 5 at the same time on a $1200 Firestone bill! They will only credit me $10 on that bill. So basically, I have to go to Firestone 4 more times within 4 months to use all of my rewards! Ridiculous! Also, they don’t sell gift cards, so basically, I’m gonna lose money because my car doesn’t need to be serviced that many times. It’s a scam.

Before today I would have given this company 5 stars but, I received a letter that states that my credit score wasn't good enough after a review and cancelled my account. I paid them off just last month. Made my payments on time, never late and that doesn't matter to them. I recently fell on hard times and 2 of my accounts are delinquent but not them. I was never in arrears but that didn't matter to them! As a result, after being a lifelong customer of Firestone (even before I had this card) I will never step foot in one again!!

Not recommended at all! Closed my account as quick as I could after the nonsense of charges. I had called and paid my balance in FULL in January, and they charged a late fee after the payment was made. Not willing to help me in taking that fee off, and very difficult to get ahold of a supervisor. Will never use this company again.
