A very un-supportive customer service, charges you high late payment fee and interest even when all payments were made on time. They calculate interests in a way to make customers pay higher interests on promotional balances and apply timely payments to revolving balances, thus tricking the customers into paying higher interests even when they are making payments on time. These are deceptive practices that are hidden within legal language and customer representatives are trained to keep repeating this without any intent to help.

Horrible customer service - "beyond our capability". Grismer Tire Card by CFNA - bought tires on 8/12 (one day prior to my billing cycle ending), paid 1/4th of the balance on 9/9, was charged a late fee on 9/8, less than a month after the purchase. Tried to get customer service to understand that this was inappropriate and that the payment was initiated prior to their receiving and posting of the payment on 9/9. But because the system is automatic it's "beyond their capabilities" to wave a one time late fee for a customer in good standing (running on 10 + years). Will be canceling my account.

I am never late on my payments. I paid it later in the evening on the due date but it would not post until following day so I was charged a late fee of 29. I called and, of course, got someone from another country who I could not understand so asked to speak to a supervisor. They refused to reverse and told me I did not pay it until after midnight, I tried to explain that I am not on Eastern time and it was before midnight so not late. I am paying the card off and will cancel it, so crazy for 29.00.

Don't do it, just pay up front or use a card where you can really get some points that are worth it. This card prays that you forget the 6 months is up, no heads up or warning that 0% is over, even just a common courtesy. When I went to pay it off and told them to cancel, the operator STILL tried to sell me a card, when I repeatedly told her not to and to cancel it she said I have to tell you this. What a robot human. The rewards are nothing valuable and then when I paid it off she literally said I can't email you a confirmation email that I paid it off. Talk about a waste of time and money, I should have at least paid with something that I got rewards with.

CFNA is a predatory lender. Period. The "customer service" is non-existent. When you finally do talk to someone, they can't answer any questions. I asked to speak with a manager or someone who could look up the information and the woman hung up on me. They do not allow you to set up auto-pay. You have to manually pay it each month. I set up the payment and literally copied my bank routing number and pasted it in. I did the same for my account number. I double checked it was correct and went on my way. 2 weeks later I receive a letter in the mail that "My bank returned the payment". I've never heard it stated that way. So I contact my bank, read them the letter, and they told me, that's not possilbe. We don't pull back payments. So I check my online CFNA account and it has no record of the bank info they used at all.

I call and the rep tells me, "I can't tell you what we tried to charge. You made a mistake and the fee is $49." I told them it was copied and pasted directly from my bank's site and double checked. She again said, "Well you must have done it wrong." I asked that they please show me the account info and they couldn't. I asked if I could speak with someone who could provide more details. Her response was, "We did it right. You did something wrong." and hung up on me. No proof of incorrect data and no professionalism to even try to find someone who could help. After reading other bad reviews, it seems they have a really bad habit of charging people "unexplained" fees and saying it was "user error".

Cfna is the worst in the business. Customer service is non existent. If you get through, the representatives place you on hold and then don't ever come back. They are not interested in questions, resolving issues, or building a good customer base, but rather are more interested in charging and collecting fees. According to their own reps, they do not and will not remove fees, ever, even if they have made a mistake. That's their policy. Well, I surely do not want to do business with companies that hide behind policies that are not customer-friendly. When discussing my issue, the rep was like we "Gotcha!" Definitely will never recommend. And I closed my account.

I called and gave them the new address but I haven’t received my new card and it’s July 2025. Every time I called, I got the runaround about the number of days the card would take to get to me just for me to call last month and find out that they didn’t send it to the right address. I just called today and the woman told me that the process was put in two days ago when I had actually called a month ago about the card. She also had an attitude about the whole process. I have a Visa card and the last time I moved before the card got to me, the woman canceled the card and I had a new one within two weeks!

My experience with CFNA has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I never received my credit card in time to make the first payment, which led to late fees and interest charges. When I contacted their customer service, they promised to waive the fees after I made the payment. Based on that, I paid the amount due—only to find out later that they refused to honor their word.

They backtracked and told me they don’t waive fees even one time, which directly contradicts what I was told earlier. I ended up paying the late fee and interest just to put an end to the mess. This kind of customer service—broken promises, lack of accountability, and rigid policies—is unacceptable. This has been by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any credit card or financial institution. I would never recommend CFNA to anyone. Be cautious before signing up with them.

I felt compelled to share my experience with Credit First National Association because it was truly disheartening. Recently, I found myself in a very tough situation. I had just experienced the loss of my pregnancy, a deeply emotional time for me, and my father was undergoing open-heart surgery. I was overwhelmed with stress and grief, and when I missed a payment by just one day, I hoped to find some understanding from the company.

When I reached out to explain my circumstances, I was met with a surprising lack of empathy. Instead of receiving support or even a sympathetic ear, I felt like my struggles were brushed aside. The representatives seemed more interested in enforcing strict policies than in understanding my situation or providing any kind of assistance.

It was incredibly painful to feel that my personal hardships didn’t matter to them. I had hoped for compassion in a time of need, but instead, I was met with indifference. It left me feeling even more alone during an already difficult time. I would not recommend Credit First National Association to anyone looking for a financial partner who truly cares about their customers.

I explained I just made that payment, but he says it's not showing up in our system. I got a confirmation number, I told him, and it is showing on my online bank statement. Then he says, "Oh, I see it now. It Just came through." I told him, "Please stop harassing me."

He says, "Why are you getting mad at me? Are you still mad from the Wednesday incident?" "He says, "I'm calling you because you owe a past due payment, and I told him I just made a payment. He says it's not showing up. I said, "Now you're lying to me, further harassing me." I called the CFNA Supervisor and told her what happened and that if the harassment is not stopped, I will then place a lawsuit against CFNA for creditor abuse and harassment all because I signed up for a Brake Max Credit Card. Called customer service and spoke with someone stating that on 9/5/25 notices went out going over this and I knew about it. I let them know I did not receive notice of it or I would've definitely not called to speak with them. I asked for the fees to be removed as I was not notified nor was it on the bill as a reminder or anything and I was met with we will remove one but that's it as we are only allowed to remove one for the lifetime of the account.

I escalated the call to a supervisor and was told they would not remove the other fee as it was my fault and they sent the notice out. I've tried explaining I've not received said notice. I have since talked to SEVERAL others and they as well did NOT know there were now paper statement fees. Let me start by saying I believe Goodyear also offers a credit card that’s similar to this. Maybe they’ll be better because This is the worst bank I’ve ever had to deal with. I had a returned auto payments about a year ago. Normally, if something like that happens, then I get a call or a text and then I go in and I make a payment and that’s the end of it. I’ve had all of my other accounts for years and years, and sometimes the money is not there, but it’s not a problem when I go pay it immediately when I find out that it didn’t go through. But that is not how it works with these people. Apparently they quit taking payments from me after I had one returned payment. I’ve been unable to use them.

The problem is that every time I call they say that I had to return payment because of insufficient funds. And I tell them that that is not the case that I had the money and I have the money right now and I’m trying to make a payment on the website and it’s not going through. They try to take a payment over the phone and they say no it’s been returned because of insufficient funds. I say no there’s no insufficient fund situation here. I’m looking at my account right now. The money is there. The problem is on your end.

I have literally had this conversation every single month for almost a year. A couple of months ago I spoke with a supervisor. I wish I could put her name here, but I don’t remember it. She was so argumentative and horrible. She argued with every single thing that I said and told me I was wrong every single way she could. I said let’s call the bank together so you can see that this is not me not having fun that this is a problem with your website. So she reluctantly agreed and we called in. The bank said no. There have been no return payments for (however, many months this has been going on) from CFNA. The lady was shocked and said oh OK. I guess it is us. She said she would fix it. I called 10 times and she never called me back but one of my payments ultimately went through online so I thought it was fixed. I set up my auto payments and went on my way.

Today I got a message that my account was behind again. I tried to make a payment online and it wouldn’t go through and the same thing happened. The person I talked to said it was an NSF and he tried to take a payment and said it didn’t go through because I had insufficient funds. I told him again. I’m looking at my account right now. I haven’t had any other payments returned all month long. I’ve got money in the account right now. That is not the issue. This is the same issue. I’ve been trying to deal with for a year with you people now. He said from now on I have to go pay cash in the store like I’m some awful person who has a bunch of return payments! What is happening? This is absolutely insane. They’re in ability to identify and correct. The problem with my account is unbelievable to me.

I felt like I was in the twilight zone or something until I saw almost 300 other one star reviews, and only one star reviews for this bank! Guys, thank you so much for taking the time to share your negative experiences with this terrible Bank. I feel so much better knowing this. It made me feel bad you know? Being treated like this. It made me feel bad. And I knew I didn’t deserve it. So really, thank you for taking that time to write your one star reviews. And now here’s another one so if you’re having a hard time with them, maybe my review will make you feel a little bit better because if you’re dealing with your customer service, apparently you are having a hard time. Because 100% one star reviews it’s really saying something. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

This is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have had stellar credit for years and I take it very seriously. In November I had car issues - bill was approx 976 before the holidays - why don't you take out a card - 6 mo no interest if you pay it off. Sure ok. BIG MISTAKE - made the first installment - (you can't even pay them electronically from your bank - only checks) they claimed they received it late and slapped on a 29.00 late fee. I asked if they would waive the fee as a courtesy and they told me to email them and they would consider it -

I was like no way am I going to deal with this in the future - and mailed the entire balance 2 days later - so the transaction is paid in full - and I was not only declined to waive the late fee - but now they are tacking on late fees and interest - and put a blemish on my credit report. I am not paying them anything additional. I understand if I owe you a balance on a transaction for a service provided but this is just gluttony. And not to mention they call you every single day sometimes 2x a day from random numbers. Stay as far away from this company as you can. Terrible.

I have had numerous credit cards over the years, many of which have been open for well over a decade. I used to copyedit for a consumer financial education company. So I'm very well versed in what is normal and what isn't. This company is by far the worst, most shameless entity I have ever encountered in the seemingly "traditional" credit/lending market (e.g. not predatory). The problem is, the way they do business IS predatory. First, like others I got hooked into the credit card via a small Firestone offer. I should clearly never have bothered given what was to come. After paying off that first and only charge in 2023, I later got an ad in ~Spring 2024 alerting me that if I did an oil change by Oct 26, 2024 that I'd get a $50 statement credit. I kept the card safe and took the car in -- early in fact, as it wasn't due yet -- for the oil change. It was not/not a convenient time to do it, but I wanted to use the offer.

Firestone had no idea what I was talking about the day I did the oil change, and at the store itself I only had the card and not whatever mailing I received that showed the statement credit. Firestone definitely told me it would be on the credit card end. (It never was.) I hadn't used the card at that point in about a year. I didn't remember that they weren't sending a physical bill. I didn't get a notification about the payment being due until it was already late. Eventually I found a message in spam from a few weeks earlier, but when I called them in December to report that I no longer knew where I had kept the card (after using it in Oct) and I hadn't received the bill, to please credit me for the interest/fees. The rep argued and wasted time, wanting to only credit part of the fees. Eventually he said he was crediting me the full late fee. I followed up asking about the nominal interest; he said he wasn't going to credit that.

I told him that's not how every other card company works giving a one-time per year courtesy to reverse fees and with them the interest drops off too -- can't have one without the other. The rep who had been rude from the beginning refused to do anything at that point, even when I asked for a supervisor. He also told me at that time that receiving the statement via mail would require paying for the statement each month -- $3-4. I have never, ever heard of that either... I mean, really? In any case, he said he was transferring the call, and then he never did. I waited on hold for another 15 min or so, but then gave up since it was clear that rude rep likely made the transfer fail on purpose. That's how rude he was. No one ever called me back even though I clearly was asking for the supervisor.

So -- these are my takeaways re: this company:
-- Bait and switch with the $50 statement credit.
-- Entrapment / charging consumers for a billing statement -- So slimy.

-- Getting away with whatever fees they can because they think it's a good business practice instead of doing what all other non-predatory lenders do, and give people the benefit of the doubt for prior great payment history.

In sum: This is by far the WORST credit company I've ever seen. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should investigate them.

I have spent month-after-month trying to access my online account. Tonight, I decided to take the time to call customer service and get this resolved. It took 4 phone calls. I had a new card issued months ago that I did not activate because I had not planned on using the card again. So over several months since receiving the new card, my previous access to the online account was not permitted. I was past due (by 10 days) and when I tried to "set up account" it still would not allow, nor would it even allow me to activate the new card online.

The 4th customer service rep tonight tells me that he can help me activate the card and set up new account once they get the account current by me making a one-time payment of past due amount (only $93). So I make the payment with him on the phone and then he says, "call back when this payment clears and we can activate and set up your online account and switch you to paperless".

This is insane. I have 10 credit card accounts that are all current because it literally takes less than 2 minutes to make my payments online with all the other accounts. CFNA treats me as though I owe them thousands of dollars and months overdue. I was attempting to hold out with my payment to make on my own once I received the customer service I deserved by assisting with setting up my online account. No other customer service rep has told me this before and this guy basically tricked me into giving the $93 payment and then says, "we have to wait until it clears- call back in a few days" and hangs up before I can do the customer service survey at the end of the call. Also, they do not allow you to use debit card for immediate payment online, but you can use debit card with customer service rep for $5.00. Scammers!!

I’ve been on the phone for two weeks an hour each time, trying to figure out why I haven’t received anything. And when you call it asks for your account number to even get to the next menu. I finally went into the store since I was worried my payment due date was nearing and I still had no card or account number to set up autopay online. The employee called from one of the Firestone phones and it still took over 30 minutes to answer, only to be told I need my account number from the card to set up a online account, and pay my bill… ummm that’s exactly why I was calling.

After almost an hour of getting nowhere, I tell her I’m paying off my account in full and to close my account. She proceeds to tell me to do a payment with the store it needs to be in cash and then I have to call a separate number to cancel account. I’m on that call for an hour only to be told our office is closed, try tomorrow. I call the following day and of course the call is not from the states. They drop my call twice! Infuriating a “bank” like this has our personal information and not the means to staff it. They need to be audited this is unacceptable. I’m currently on hold 25 minutes so far.

Applied for this card for emergency car repairs. Promotional period of 6 months with no interest. I had no problems making payments on CFNA website from my checking account. Just before the 6th month is up. CFNA claims my bank rejected request for payment, they immediately hit me with ALL of the INTEREST and charged me an LATE FEE. I phoned them. They gave me a story that the account number was wrong and the bank rejected the payment request. (He took my payment over the phone but never verified if my account number was correct..Guess what the payment went through). I called my bank and asked for a record of this transaction, where CFNA submitted payment and it was rejected because the account number was wrong. My bank said they have no record of a payment request submitted on - that date, from CFNA, for $100.00 nor any record of payment rejection due to wrong account - NO record.

We were able to verify all other payments before the 6th month, but that last payment no record. Something felt wrong so I typed CFNA reviews and here I am. EVERYONE reading this please file a complaint and tell your story where it will make a difference at (CFPB) Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This is one of the worst credit card systems I’ve ever dealt with. I ordered it because I bought some tires from Firestone. Had sent a payment through my bank and it goes to some erroneous PO Box that the Rep said is not immediately checked. The check had been sent within 12 business days and it’s still located in their system. Now I’m going to have to stop payment and fight with them about late fees, etc. They charge over $4.00 for the over phone payment. I’m going to notify ConsumerAffairs and the credit bureaus about this terrible system.

I called and they told me my $20 reward still remained unapplied to any statement in my account EVEN THOUGH I received the redemption email and had no reward balance. They said the $20 would apply to a next purchase, but I decided to terminate the relationship ASAP.

After having closed my credit card in March, I logged into my account because I received an email about the new statement. I found there is negative $20 balance appeared. I called them to get a refund check, but they said NO bacause this is from the reward. Firstly, I failed to get the $20 due to their fault. Secondly, their response clearly violates Interactive Bureau Regulations - 12 CFR Part 1026 (Regulation Z) - § 1026.11 Treatment of credit balances; account termination.

A Credit Dispute Tale!!! It was a happy Friday, March 29th, 24. I realized an overpayment on my CFNA acct. Paid $207 instead $107. A good way to start a Friday with an extra $100 on my pocket. I just had paid in full the CFNA acct. Promotional period of 6 months had just expired on March 14th. I guess that's one of the reason I overpaid. I want to make sure I won't pay interests. After all, I haven't paid interests in the past 15 year. Proud of my 820 credit score.

I called CFNA. A friendly agent said she would more than happy help me. In just 3 minutes she told me just to wait 24-48hrs. It was April 2nd, checked my bank account and for my surprise the full $207 I had paid on March 1st had been reimbursed, for a bigger surprise my total balance now is $296. I quickly realized CFNA's mistakes. Basically canceled my March 1st payment with the April 2nd reimbursement. Now my account is delinquent, has late-fees and interests. From $100 on my pocket to own an extra $189. Easy fix I thought. Called and easily explained to the 1st agent. She was confused. She said, "You own $296," I patiently explained again. Well, a supervisor will check it. Call tomorrow.

Tomorrow come, called again. Oh, you own $296, are you paying it today? I said, please check the notes. Is there a supervisor note there? No sir, please call back in a week. A week come, called again. "Hi sir, you own $296, best we can do is a payment plan." Well, I said. You better do better than that. She paused confused. I asked, any supervisor note please? "No, I will transfer you to a supervisor then." Great, I will get this resolved. It's a no-brainer situation, I thought. Supervisor said, "Sir, you asked the payment to be reimbursed." I lost it. We had a yelling competition. Then realized their mistake. Today, April 10th I see late-fees and interests reversed. I was happy again, then I got an email.. CFNA has just reported your delinquent account to Experian. 30 points dropped on my Credit Score. OH MY!!!

I went to Firestone to get my yearly Inspection which is 7 dollars and walked out with 4 new tires lol. I do not like this credit card company because I think that this credit card company is very tricky in the way that they interact with you. I applied because I was told that it would be 6 months. No interest as long as you paid it within 6 months. The problem is that they are constantly changing the minimum amount. The other thing is that they do not know if you when your payment is due. It's your possibility to keep logging on to the website to see when your payment is due, which is fine but not very convenient. The other thing is they don't have a friendly app or website. The only way that you can make a payment on this card is connecting your account. You need your account number and routing number. You cannot pay it any other way unless you go in person to a firestone and make your payment there and they only accept cash.

I tried connecting my banking account so that I could make my payments more easier and it would not accept my banking information. I called the 1-800 number with no success. If it's a weekend you will definitely not get a hold of anybody cuz they're closed. I do not like this credit card. My minimum amount due was changed from one month to the other. And they changed it by $1. With that $1 change by the second month I got a $30 late fee. Even though I did make my payment but they had changed the amount. The app at website is terrible so if you're looking or a card that is easy to pay and you could pay it in several different ways. This is not the card.

I made a payment last month online and it didn't show it went through so I made another payment for the same exact amount. They attempted to take the money from my account twice which result in a return check on one payment. I was charged a return check fee. Why would I make two payments of the same amount which would be over the amount owed. I called explaining the system error and I was told that it was nothing they could do and they could only credit me back $15 of the fee. If they found no error why would they agree to give $15 credit. Only for me to make another payment on 2/15/24 for $200 and waiting for the payment to process. It never cleared my bank so I checked the Firestone account and it shows that another returned check fee when they attempted to take the money from the wrong account.

I called and told them that this again was their error. I will not keep paying a returned check fee for their error. Once again I was told they could only credit $15 of the $29. If they felt again this wasn't their error why honor a half credit. I believe they are a rip off because they say no interest but they find a way to still get extra money from me. I shouldn't be charged for their online issue. The representative are also not helpful they put you on hold and say they are speaking to a supervisor and then come back but never allow you to speak to the supervisor. They closed my credit card account illegally because I disputed a charge from Firestone. An order from the president of Firestone was the reason provided by one agent. This action has damaged my credit and proven their dishonesty. I took a vehicle in for an inspection and requested that four tires be replaced. On the inspection report, we addressed almost everything and thought we could handle the smaller items ourselves, as we were primarily concerned with the major issues. There was no mention of a bad CV joint on the full inspection report we paid for, but when we drove the vehicle away from the store, there was a new clicking noise from the front end. I suspect sabotage because when we came to pay and pick up the car, I noticed that only two tires had been replaced. However, the manager tried to charge us for four tires. When I pointed this out and questioned whether he was trying to rip us off, he became aggressive.

Following that incident, they did eventually replace the tires. The paperwork, which had been marked clearly for four tires but was misread as two. Yeah right! I contacted corporate during this interaction, and even the operator heard the manager raise his voice multiple times. The manager even encouraged a customer to argue with my brother and I. I have reached out to corporate numerous times to resolve this issue. Each time I call, I'm told the case is closed, yet nobody has spoken to me about it, except for the lady at intake who is surprised the matter has not been resolved.

According to my credit card agreement, have the right to dispute charges and, if a resolution cannot be reached, the right to arbitration. They have denied me both by closing my account and ignoring my calls, preferring instead to damage my credit. How can one trust a company that operates so dishonestly? I urge consumers to be wary. I cannot believe this situation has escalated to this point without any attempt to contact me back. My messages to the office of the President have been completely ignored. Along with the others, my complaints (yes plural) is exactly the same. This is by far the most HORRENDOUS company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Not one single representative I spoke with told me the same as the other. The MANAGER couldn't even add and I honestly believe she has never owned a credit card, no less made a payment. To make this long story short, I will list my misinformed experiences, because I simply don't know where to begin.

    * Music horrible during wait time, which is long (first clue).
    * Representative said I didn't have to re-enter my bank information (which I learned) was wrong.
    * NEVER received an email reminding of an upcoming bill.
    * Supposed to be a 6 month/interest free payment plan. It was not broken down on statement into revolving payments (which tells me, the FULL BALANCE is due).
    * Misinformed that I could change the payment date to a later date after I make the first payment. I later find out it will take TWO billing cycles to make that change. (???)
    * Manager, Angela, hung up on me when I asked her if she was actually paying attention to what I was saying, because she kept telling me my revolving balance was the minimum balance of $29.00 on a $816.00 balance. How does that break down to 6 payments????

    * I will have to borrow that balance and pay it off because everyone I spoke to, destroyed their credibility. I won't take a chance this company will ruin my credit rating I work so hard to keep and end up paying interest on something I was told I wouldn't.

Unless it is in black and white on my statement, I will pay off the whole account since it say my payment due is $-0.00. JUST AWFUL.

What a terrible company!! I have had this account since 2018 through Firestone branded card. I bought a Honda in 2021, and was informed that I could use this card at Honda. I have used this card at Honda since I purchased my car. I have service done this July at Honda and was informed I was unable to use this card any longer. I called July 5th and was informed that they did some updates and was no longer able to use this card at Honda since March 2023 and that I received information regarding this update.

I looked all through my emails and received nothing regarding this update. I was promised July 5th that I would be able to change my card to be used at Honda. I called today July 18th and told I was given inaccurate information on July 5th. And if I had called in March that I would’ve been able to make a switch to a card that would be able to be used at Honda but because I was not informed of this update until I called today that I would not be able to make this switch.

Plaza Tire Center just swapped to CFNA to handle their credit card services. The service they had before CFNA was fine, with timely transactions and automatic email updates. CFNA does not automatically send you an email when your bill is due, so I got charged a late payment fee for my tires that I had bought. Not only this, but when I did make my payment, I received no receipt or notification that they've received my payment. What they DID do, is send me another reminder to pay. So I called them up and was left on hold for 40 minutes. A literal 40 minutes.

So I paid the next bill they sent, only to find out they DOUBLE CHARGED ME, and I had just paid my Discover credit card bill, so my bank charged me a overdraft fee because the double payment to CFNA decimated my checking. I look up CFNA double charging, and as it turns out, it happens all the time to a lot of people. I don't know if they are laundering or what, but in the age of internet, having service like this is asinine. Do not tell me I owe you money two days after I paid, and then accept twice the amount when it pops into your account, CFNA. Absolutely atrocious company.

I had a Firestone affiliated mechanic that I used for yeaars before, this worked because he is the only one for miles. Well with the new change and without warning the card does not work there anymore because they have cut the number of places it can be used. I stopped at a firestone once and was quote 4500 for a job that cost me 1500 with another mechanic. I have no interest in going back to a firestone location. So maybe you will have better luck.

He proceeded to ask how I was paying my other bills if I didn't have a paying job and why did I get a credit card if I couldn't pay for it. When I told him how I pay my other bills is none of his business, he proceeded to tell me that it was his business because this bill was one of those that needed to be paid. When I told him that my fiancé' pays our bills, he proceeded to ask for my fiancé's bank account that he could put on file for payments. He assumed that just because I had a card for car repairs/tires that I must have money to pay for all of my bills. He told me that I needed to make my bill with them a priority even though I repeatedly told him that I do not have the money.

He kept making the statement that I needed to make this bill a priority because obviously if I am able to pay my other bills then I should be able to pay this one. I kept repeating myself on the fact that I had other things that take priority over this bill because we are going through hard times. I even went as far as to tell him how much we are about to pay out of pocket for our son's surgery tomorrow and he STILL proceeded to demand that I give him a date that they could start drafting my account. Kept reminding me that my bill was way overdue and that I needed to get it paid like he was trying to make me feel bad or guilt trip me. This past year has been hard on my family, but it seems like that didn't matter to this guy. All he cared about was getting money or a date.

I had some work done on my car at Firestone and was told I would get a discount by putting it on my CFNA Firestone cad, which, I did - I did have a prior balance, full disclosure. I then called CFNA the following day to apply a payment towards the promotional balance which is six months. - the woman I spoke with assured me this would happen. However, a month later I get a statement showing the full amount of the balance. CFNA, it turns out, only applies balances towards your promotional balance on the fifth and six months. Months 1-4 go towards your revolving balance.

This is not listed anywhere on my statement, but only on the initial T&C which is, oddly enough, only available by calling or emailing them (???, shady for sure). The supervisor that I spoke with today at least was able to send an ACH payment in the amount I paid so that I can "hang on" to it until month five or six. This is ludicrous that this is how they handle these balances and is extremely deceptive. I'll never use this card again. Beware.

So to avoid penalty, I called their customer service line and found out they had entered my home address incorrectly. Fine. Verified the correct one and was told they’d resend. Never happened. Made all my payments via phone until the balance was empty. Fast forward to 2023, apparently my last card expired so I was sent a brand new one. Great! Called the activation line and gave them the number for the new card as well as my SSN. THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE RECORD THAT I AM IN THEIR SYSTEM AS A CLIENT. Yet they sent me a credit card??!! I've had this card for 3 years with a credit limit of a $1,000 dollars. I haven't used this card since I've opened the account and for a good reason. I've had Discover and Amex now for 2 years and I've automatically received 3 credit limit increases up to $18K on my Discover and $21K on my Amex. CFNA not once has increased my spending power to use it at any Firestone locations. Even after I've requested an increase they kept denying it. You can't do much with a $1K these days, especially with what repairs cost for modern vehicles. The reason I applied of this card is because I liked the discounts if offered at Firestone locations, but the discounts aren't very much.

Honestly, You're better off getting a card like the CapitalOne Venture that gets you sweet miles or my other favorite is the CapitalOne Savor dining out card, also look for the OCCU Rewards Visa that earns you 2 points per dollar spent. This card offered by CFNA is literally worthless to have and waste of time. The only benefit you get is the zero interest financing for a set amount of time, but other than that you don't benefit from this at all.

If you have great credit and need some financial help, my suggestion is to find a card that has a ZERO PROMO rate on purchases for 15 or 18 months. This way you can save money on interest on car repairs while you earn rewards depending on the card you select. Whatever the case, I haven't taken my car to any Firestone locations now for 2 years.

CFNA charged me $108.12 interest on remaining $100. Suspecting an error, I called & was told CFNA charges full 6 months interest on ORIGINAL balance ($976.77), not REMAINING ($100). Was consistently told full 6 months interest would be charged at end of promo date, but NEVER told it would be for original balance, not remaining. Why would I spend 6 months paying down a balance, allowing CFNA to earn interest on my money, only to charge me interest on it? No sane person would make ANY payments knowing this.

Why allow them to hold my >$800 when I could leave it in my bank for 6 months, being charged the same? Have NEVER heard of such a ridiculous practice. One would never think to even ask if such a silly practice existed; it doesn't make any logical sense, is deceitful, & suspect it would be found illegal if a class action suit were initiated. I had to have some major car work done and have been paying double the minimum payment per usual, but that particular purchase for some reason the balance remains high while my card is paid down about 31%. I do have another charge that is somewhere in it's promotional timeline.

Once the promotion period ended for the larger purchase, I was charged $175 in interest. I've never seen such a thing. I called thinking it must have been a mistake, nope. They explained what I just explained, which I get, but I asked if that amount could be waived. And I don't mean the whole thing, just knock it down to a reasonable interest charge. They said my case doesn't "fall within their parameters for an adjustment." Even with my spotless history. I've never asked for this before, this is actually my first time calling the entire time I've had it. All they offered was to waive $100 of the interest IF I paid off the entire balance of the card, including the other charge. I will pay this card off as quickly as I can and never use it again. Now the credit first is the only late payment account showing on my credit report and I'm in a place in my life that I'm trying to take a step but this late pay is stopping me from moving forward.

Account is already paid off more than the amount that was given in the first place.

I see people have had issue with their Credit First credit card. I REALLY don’t see how that is. You have your bill online with the due date clear as day as soon as you log in. I can’t even say it sucks. They don’t have autopay because it takes a split second to log in and hit make a payment. I’m just a young guy who needed car repair when I didn’t have anything and this company has really helped me out. I haven’t had any issues with customer service either, so in my opinion the other reviews just seem off-putting. The CFNA AutoPass credit card has saved my credit score, and my personal life tremendously. Thanks for reading, and you’re responsible for making your own payments peeps! (As it says in the agreement you sign when getting the card...)

Like so many others on here I have perfect payment history, they do not offer auto pay and since I travel for work extensively I try to make a point of setting up auto payments on all of my bills. I missed a payment and they reported it immediately, mind you I used the card two years earlier and paid off the balance. In fact paid over the amount owed and had to call for six months to get my money back. Do not get this card or any other offering from CFNA. They are a terrible business with zero concern or care for customers. They actually cost Firestone a life long customer here, I will never get tires from them again due to this credit company.

Like a lot of other reviewers on this site, I also have and maintain impeccable credit. Have had the CFNA Firestone card for many years, during which time, I only had two late fee charges. The first one, was forgiven out of the apparently only drop of generosity they have--must have caught them on a good day. The other, was not. So, I thought about this for a minute and summarized the following: CFNA was doing me no favors. In fact, I was doing them a favor, but maintaining their card for all these years without any perks.

There are no loyalty bonuses, specialty coupons or late fee forgiveness for good credit paying customers. Why the heck am I still maintaining a card with a company that doesn't value my >800 credit score as a customer? Because at this point, it's costing me to do so. So, CFNA, good luck trying to find well suited customers to keep your ship afloat. Sadly, you are just another corporate example of the gross failure of man that you embrace and applaud.

I received a call at 8 pm NY time from this credit card company. I have impeccable credit. I now fear after reading some of the other experiences with this card from other reviewers. My first payment of $27 was due on November 18th. My office manager sent it on November 7th per my files. Needless to say they said I was late. I had to research what happened and it seems there was an entry problem. I in turn decided to send a $50 payment just for good measure and called the 800 number back to let them know that I corrected the error we found. I mentioned that I paid $50 instead of the $27 and it would be there by Friday the 29th.

The lady started ripping me about the bill being $80 not $27 and said the bill was 2 months behind. I said that is impossible because the card was opened in mid October. The first bill was due the 18th of Nov. I asked to speak with the lady that I was talking to that originally called me. She reluctantly handed me off to the other lady who I thought was simply calling out of a courtesy to let me know there must be an issue with payment. I was then told the same deal. The bill was $80. She said the December bill went out already.

I asked for her to remove the late fee as it was a simple mistake for the first billing cycle. She said it was not their problem and they don't issue late fee reimbursements if it is not bank error. We went back and forth, she offered half the late fee, I was persistent on asking what kind of company has no wiggle room for a simple error. She eventually said she would waive the late fee. I will now watch this company like a hawk and report to appropriate authorities if there is any issues with my credit or any of the issues of receiving payments.

Stopped by Firestone to have car looked at due to overheating. It took about 2 hours and when they were done our CFNA card was declined. The manager called to see why and said we had to contact the Fraud Department at CFNA. We called the Fraud Dept. right away and they were closed so we called the number on the back of the card. Once we were connected and explained what was going on we were told that all they needed was a photo ID sent to them of the front and back. We obliged and sent this over. After three attempts they received this. After an hour and 20 minutes we got disconnected and had to call back. Mind you we only have the one vehicle and Firestone would not release it until the bill was paid.

So after several hours on the phone and Firestone closing we did not get the car nor did we get an answer from CFNA. We had to walk home 9 miles in 26 degree weather and now have to find a way to pay for the repairs and get a way to Firestone. We are not rich and live paycheck to paycheck and CFNA offered us the credit so we can afford monthly payments but flagged our account without a letter or email and no explanation as to why it was flagged for fraud. To this day we have still have no car and no explanation but we still get bills. I have filed a lawsuit for unreasonable blocks or holds. THEY'RE GOING DOWN.

I have prestigious credit, never miss any payments, but most I have on auto pay because I am a mom, a career woman, a wife, have a child with medical needs and is a senior in high school, and another who's a competitive dancer. I am BUSY and life is busy. I have always paid this car ahead each month paying more than due, but not off, so as to build history and keep my balance at a level still beneficial to have a positive impact in my credit.

Well, last week I received an email, only one, no other prior calls or emails, just this one with my statement also showing I had missed a payment. I immediately logged in and paid double what was due. Today, a few days later I got a notice from Experian that my credit score had dropped and that CFNA decided to lower my credit line. Awesome, and thanks for that no notice, oops you seemed to have missed a payment because we don't offer any auto pay options, and then we'll screw you on the backend experience CFNA.

I called customer service and explained everything to then have a non English speaking rep simply say "what do you want me to do?" I asked that my credit line be restored. He said no because it is reviewed quarterly automatically and it "coincidentally fell on the day showing I was past due." Oh really, what a coincidence. Well, it's also a coincidence that I just paid it off and will be closing it. I will NEVER EVER do any business with CFNA again. Avoid at all cost. What company in 2019 does this? It's so intentional, a way to screw customers into paying fines and higher interest rates. I work in credit risk, this is a complete scam.
