OK bear with me as this is the first review I have ever written on a product but my experience was so awful the word needs to get out so this may help others from experiencing this discomfort. I was even going to go as far as calling up my ex-wife to see if she can kiss it better but I don’t know if there’s a pain bad enough for that ever to happen,... but almost! All jokes aside, OUCH!! I have used Old Spice on and off for quite some time but not lately as my ex-wife really like the smell and made me wear it so just the name of the brand makes me cringe. At all no offense to old spice for that, but now I’m very pissed off what I went through in this is old bass his fault.
My dad died a couple months ago and as I was cleaning out his place a lot of things, well all his things became mine And I inherited this lovely stick of deodorant. Went to use it for the first time the other day. I was quite relaxed as I took a nice long bath to beat the heat. As I was all happy and pickled I put on this deodorant and within about an hour give or take I started feeling discomfort and this discomfort quickly turned in to a Pain that I describe as I would not wish this upon my worst enemy pain. I am a recovering ** addict and the only time in my life ever used the term “I would not wish this upon my worst enemy” was being a ** addict going through withdraws and now I use it again.
The pain almost reminded me of one time I got sprayed with bear mace and I went to the hospital for that and they stuck me in the ice cold shower outside in the middle of winter treating it like pepper spray Or mace which would be resolved in 10-15 minutes And everything will be OK but that did not happen. This ice cold shower felt like it was the hottest thing in the world and it made everything that burn on my face well,.... move downward (I think you get the picture) And I didn’t even start to feel relief from that incident For 8 hours. And the reason I going to that story is as I did research afterwards I find out it’s a chemical burn and so is this.
I don’t think old spice can get a attempted murder charge as the guy who sprayed me with Bear spray could’ve. Don’t get me wrong I would love my pockets to be lined up for the situation I went through but that has never been my style. But if there’s any lawyers out there I’m all ears. I’m rambling I just want people to read this and get a laugh out Out of my situation but most important to keep them interested in reading this review because I could’ve said at the beginning “this stuff burns don’t use” But who’s gonna take it seriously. Then you could only take things serious when you’re laughing because you can’t be in a bad mood and laugh. Google it!
I don’t know if old spice put bear spray in their deodorant or my dad is just punishing me from the other side for what I have no idea but that’s in this paper trail off let downs and lies he has put me through my whole life. OK if some of the stuff doesn’t make sense I use voice to text and I will be damned if I’m gonna read this again because I will fix it and redo it and it will be nothing like this one and you would never known the difference so who cares if it sounds like I’m crazy. Please improve and know that I am serious as hell when I’m saying this stuff hurts for hours and hours and water and soap don’t help because it’s not an irritant. It’s a chemical burn.
Buyer beware and stick to the good old Axe. OK I don’t know how to end this so bye and remember that you are amazing and live every day like it’s your last and love like it’s your last. Treat your woman like a lady and treat your lady like you would want another man to treat your daughter. Yeah I was mama raised. OK bye.
I experienced severe itching and redness after using Old Spice deodorant. I stopped using it but the the redness is not going away. Will go to a doctor to find a solution. I wish we could attach photos here.
After years of using my armpits were both burned from the product causing a lot of pain and discomfort! Thought it was a small rash from sweat but it just got worse and worse to the point I thought I might need to see a doctor until I saw other pics of the same injury online! Phil. 8/12/2020.
I HAVE USED THIS DEODORANT MANY OF TIMES AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS UNTIL March 2020. I opened a new Old Spice high endurance pure sport, used it twice and broke out in my armpit. Looked burned and had blisters. The pain was awful. Called my doctor after trying cortisone cream and diaper rash cream, no relief at all. My wife had me put cold packs on area, no relief. The doctor put me on oral antibiotics and skin-calming cream on a Saturday and still no relief by that. Tuesday called back and the doctor had me talk with dermatologists and gave me a steroid cream to apply, got some relief after 2 days, had to apply for 3 weeks and area is still red to this day. The pain was so severe for the first 7 days.
Firstly, I am a woman. I typically use Dove deodorant. I ran out of my deodorant in the middle of the week and didn’t want to go to the store until the weekend. My boyfriend has several deodorants so I just picked one to use. I used Old Spice Pure Sport High Endurance deodorant for TWO DAYS and got vicious CHEMICAL BURNS. When I showed my boyfriend the burns he said, “I don’t even use that deodorant anymore because it feels like I have rug burn under my arms when I do.” Needless to say, this awful deodorant was thrown in the trash, but I am in a lot of pain. I can’t move my arms without my underarms burning. Nothing helps the pain either, not gold bond powder or ** lotion, not **, not ** cream, and not ** cream. It is agony. I have an appointment with the doctor soon to see if they have anything that will give me some relief. I would give zero stars if I could!
Do not use! 15 year old son used Old Spice Wilderness deodorant one time and received chemical burns under both arms. Had to go to emergency to treat severe blistering. Terrible product. They need to take this product off the market.
If I could give this product zero stars I would. I have really dry skin. I would shower and then apply the body wash. I was itchy I gave this product to my brother Michael. I started to use it during allergy season. I mean other body washes use chemicals like Sterile alcohol and rubbing alcohol. This product is horrible for anyone with spring and summer allergies. I strongly tell anyone never to buy Old Spice again.
I used Old Spice Pure Sport before bed and woke up the next morning with a burn under my armpits and had to wash them then put aloe. Never using Old Spice AGAIN! Stay away from this product please. As I’m writing this it’s been 5 hours since I put it on, I could not sleep for some reason and finally my armpit burn got me out of bed. Now I just hope the aloe will help relieve the burning feeling, if not then I’m going to have to see a dermatologist. :(
I used the Old Spice Pure Sport Gel deodorant one day over a week ago and I am still recovering from painful, peeling, burning, and bleeding rashes underneath my arms in the crease of my armpits. It’s extremely uncomfortable and is affecting my ability to move my arms. I am seeing a dermatologist in a few days to hopefully resolve this issue. I am a woman who used this product, even though it is originally intended for male bodies, because I did not have access to my usual deodorant. My fiancé was a regular Old Spice consumer (he usually uses Old Spice Extra Strength), but after my experience, he will no longer be using any Old Spice products. I strongly recommend that you do not use the Pure Sport Gel and that you seriously reconsider use of any Old Spice products.
Never used body wash before but last week I purchased Old Spice Timber with Sandalwood. After using for 3-4 days, I developed a burning rash on my chest and neck. I stopped using it but the burning continues after another several days. Most post I have read are about a similar problem for people using the deodorant but there must be a common chemical in both deodorants and body wash products causing the issue.
My boyfriend used to use this deodorant and I liked the smell so when I went to buy a new deodorant and saw Old Spice Pure Sport High Endurance, I bought it. I used it for about a week before I noticed that my armpits were on fire every morning even just after I showered and there was ostensibly nothing on my armpits. It stings, it burns, my skin is dark so it isn’t easy for me to see what it’s done to my skin. I googled to find out if anyone was experiencing this and...there are so many people complaining about this. Why isn’t Old Spice doing anything about this?
My skin has turned white in my underarms after years of using the blue stick. Used to burn when I put it on. Did not realize I was damaging my skin. I wish I had not used this product to begin with...
I have been using Old Spice for years. I am all of a sudden getting a red, itchy, scaly, rash under my arms. It's super uncomfortable. I thought I had some type of fungus but that was not the case. Contact dermatitis is the case.
After using the Old Spice - Captain deodorant, I started having rashes and gets very itchy. Please refrain from buying these. Old Spice - don't spice it up like rashes. We have enough spice in our life already. Fix your damn product.
I started using Old Spice when I realized they had a lavender scent. My SO has been using them for years without any issues. I recently have found that my usual deodorant was not living up to expectations so I made the switch to Old Spice. I use the blue gel one. After about 10 uses or so I notice my underarms getting itchy, rash covered and painful. I had to stop using any deodorant for a few days. I thought maybe it was because I tried a new one when I felt the Old Spice was not living up to its famed odor and wetness protection. Well recently my arms have had a constant rash, though it doesn’t hurt and I’ve been solely using Old Spice since the major rash incident a few months ago.
I recently started using Old Spice “gel” deodorant and noticed my underarm was getting red. After two days of using this product I completely stopped because my underarm became very irritated. I received a chemical burn from this product.
Recently tried Old Spice deodorant I picked up from the store. It the blue gel. After three days of use, I started to get a burning feeling under my arms and my skin started peeling. Giant red irritation in the area.
I’ve been using the Old Spice Wilderness with Lavender deodorant and recently have had skin irritation with burning pain and after I stopped using it, my skin is peeling as well. I have switched to a different brand due to the issue.
My husband and son have used this deodorant and it's awful. My son has horrible rash burning in both armpits. My husband has the the rash and on him it's created a bump the size of a golf ball in his skin. It's hard to put his arm down without it hurting so bad. He can't do anything to make it go down. Super painful for them both. It's so unbelievable that a company is ok with selling something so harmful.
Hello. I am very displeased with this product. Unknowingly using the Pure Sport High Endurance deodorant by Old Spice. I've use this more than 10 times. Been using it for 3 months now. I didn't notice anything for the first 5 or 10 uses then out of nowhere I started getting a raw, burning painful sensation on/around my armpits! They were all red and hurt like hell!! I didn't think anything of it until a few days ago. It was so bad I was crying. I thought it was just from working out/ rubbing of the shirts. The last time I'll ever use Old Spice ever again!!! I can't even buy deodorant without worrying, "Is this safe? Will this one burn my armpits and leave them raw, painful also?" So I've been using a different deodorant and no burn or anything of the sort.
I have a picture of my armpit and still have the deodorant if further action is taken to test the specific product I was using to see what is causing me and others to have raw painful burning sensations anywhere the product was applied. I also use this on mosquito bites as well as I've heard deodorant helps soothe the bite and have noticed it has left a small area red but didn't burn much probably because there was no skin on skin rubbing contact. I really hope this helps when buying deodorant or even for people to see why they are burning raw. I unknowingly used this product because I buy in bulk and didn't think much of this 'cause never has this happened in my life. I figured since I work a lot and do lots of outside activities that's why but no. Got out the shower, used it, not even a few hours later I'm burning raw and crying in pain! Never again Old Spice!
My son used Old Spice deodorant a few weeks ago. He came to me complaining that his armpits felt like they were burning. I took a look and sure enough he had a red rash around his armpits. I made him shower thinking it was from working out. The next morning he applied deodorant again and the same reaction happened again within mins. Showered and threw that stuff away!
I've been using Old Spice for years! And only that brand. Never switched with other brands here and there or anything! Just Old Spice 'cuz I loved the smell. I got some Aqua Reef deodorant and showered before bed and put some on. I woke up to a horrible burning feeling under my arms the next morning! I went in the bathroom to look in the mirror and my underarms were bright red and inflamed with the worst burning sensation EVER! Hard to move my arms up or down. Felt like they were on FIRE! HORRIBLE!! We need to come together as ONE and get this crap off store shelves!
I don't have sensitive skin by any means, so when I noticed a burning rash on BOTH of my underarms, I was quick to find out what it was. I changed razors, detergent, lotions...it came down to the deodorant. A brand that I have trusted and used for years because everyone knows men's deodorant is way better and more protectant than women's. My husband sent me a link today with an article on people experiences the same thing I was. I stumbled upon this page and I'm making a review to say YOU SUCK OLD SPICE.
I have used Old Spice Fresh High-Endurance deodorant and now have horrible red burning chemical burns on each of my armpits and the surrounding area around my armpits. My skin is actually starting to peel and the burning and pain is actually pretty intense! Stay away from this product! I have always used Old Spice deodorant and never had any problems like this before.
I used Old Spice Timber deodorant. I woke up the next day with a horrible burning sensation. I haven't been putting anything on other than antibiotics for three days and it's just getting worse. I can't move my arm up or down without my armpit feeling like it's tearing. I had to ice it half the day. Stay away from old spice deodorants.
I can’t wear anything because of my severe burning from using Old Spice deodorant. Do not use the Pure Sport or you will have a rash then you will have some nasty black armpits! I tried to complain many times.
I used my boyfriend's Old Spice Fiji blue gel deodorant four days ago. My armpits felt like they were on fire and it’s only gotten worse. They turned bright red and now are turning a disgusting shade of purple. I have been to two different doctors to try to treat it and it keeps getting worse. I can move my arms and can’t even pull up my pants or put real clothes on. Every time I move it feels like my skin is tearing and like a cut that is being ripped open. I can’t look at my armpits without almost throwing up. It is the worse pain I’ve ever been in. I’ve had road rash covering half of my leg ankle to thigh and that pain doesn’t even come close to this. If you are going to try their products do a SMALL patch test first so you don’t end up like me. Be careful with all new deodorants you try. This isn’t the only brand that can cause these burns.
I purchased the original Old Spice along with others. The soft powder and gel are completely fine. However when I use their product that is the solid blue gel doesn’t matter which fragrance. It will leave a horrendous burn. A few years ago I used the bear glove scent and my burn was so bad after just a few applications that I missed a week of work cause I could even lift my arms. I was continuously draining pus from the burn that became infected. I just used a different fragrance thinking it would be alright since it was the original fragrance. Boy was I wrong. I work for the post office and I can hardly lift packages with the burns. A deodorant shouldn’t have such a negative impact on someone’s life like this. STAY AWAY! From this product. I wish I could submit a photo of my armpits now.
I've been using Old Spice for 20 years. Tried a new gel kind and my armpits are on fire and red chemical burns around my armpits! Crazy! I will never buy Old Spice again! After reading other reviews it seems I'm not the only one! Shame on you Old Spice!
This product burned my pits! What the heck is in this deodorant? I've used this one for a couple weeks now and thought it was weird that it felt like it was burning and sure enough... it is! I liked the smell but didn't like the burning!
