My boyfriend used to use this deodorant and I liked the smell so when I went to buy a new deodorant and saw Old Spice Pure Sport High Endurance, I bought it. I used it for about a week before I noticed that my armpits were on fire every morning even just after I showered and there was ostensibly nothing on my armpits. It stings, it burns, my skin is dark so it isn’t easy for me to see what it’s done to my skin. I googled to find out if anyone was experiencing this and...there are so many people complaining about this. Why isn’t Old Spice doing anything about this?

I started using Old Spice when I realized they had a lavender scent. My SO has been using them for years without any issues. I recently have found that my usual deodorant was not living up to expectations so I made the switch to Old Spice. I use the blue gel one. After about 10 uses or so I notice my underarms getting itchy, rash covered and painful. I had to stop using any deodorant for a few days. I thought maybe it was because I tried a new one when I felt the Old Spice was not living up to its famed odor and wetness protection. Well recently my arms have had a constant rash, though it doesn’t hurt and I’ve been solely using Old Spice since the major rash incident a few months ago.

My husband and son have used this deodorant and it's awful. My son has horrible rash burning in both armpits. My husband has the the rash and on him it's created a bump the size of a golf ball in his skin. It's hard to put his arm down without it hurting so bad. He can't do anything to make it go down. Super painful for them both. It's so unbelievable that a company is ok with selling something so harmful.

Hello. I am very displeased with this product. Unknowingly using the Pure Sport High Endurance deodorant by Old Spice. I've use this more than 10 times. Been using it for 3 months now. I didn't notice anything for the first 5 or 10 uses then out of nowhere I started getting a raw, burning painful sensation on/around my armpits! They were all red and hurt like hell!! I didn't think anything of it until a few days ago. It was so bad I was crying. I thought it was just from working out/ rubbing of the shirts. The last time I'll ever use Old Spice ever again!!! I can't even buy deodorant without worrying, "Is this safe? Will this one burn my armpits and leave them raw, painful also?" So I've been using a different deodorant and no burn or anything of the sort.

I have a picture of my armpit and still have the deodorant if further action is taken to test the specific product I was using to see what is causing me and others to have raw painful burning sensations anywhere the product was applied. I also use this on mosquito bites as well as I've heard deodorant helps soothe the bite and have noticed it has left a small area red but didn't burn much probably because there was no skin on skin rubbing contact. I really hope this helps when buying deodorant or even for people to see why they are burning raw. I unknowingly used this product because I buy in bulk and didn't think much of this 'cause never has this happened in my life. I figured since I work a lot and do lots of outside activities that's why but no. Got out the shower, used it, not even a few hours later I'm burning raw and crying in pain! Never again Old Spice!

I used my boyfriend's Old Spice Fiji blue gel deodorant four days ago. My armpits felt like they were on fire and it’s only gotten worse. They turned bright red and now are turning a disgusting shade of purple. I have been to two different doctors to try to treat it and it keeps getting worse. I can move my arms and can’t even pull up my pants or put real clothes on. Every time I move it feels like my skin is tearing and like a cut that is being ripped open. I can’t look at my armpits without almost throwing up. It is the worse pain I’ve ever been in. I’ve had road rash covering half of my leg ankle to thigh and that pain doesn’t even come close to this. If you are going to try their products do a SMALL patch test first so you don’t end up like me. Be careful with all new deodorants you try. This isn’t the only brand that can cause these burns.

I purchased the original Old Spice along with others. The soft powder and gel are completely fine. However when I use their product that is the solid blue gel doesn’t matter which fragrance. It will leave a horrendous burn. A few years ago I used the bear glove scent and my burn was so bad after just a few applications that I missed a week of work cause I could even lift my arms. I was continuously draining pus from the burn that became infected. I just used a different fragrance thinking it would be alright since it was the original fragrance. Boy was I wrong. I work for the post office and I can hardly lift packages with the burns. A deodorant shouldn’t have such a negative impact on someone’s life like this. STAY AWAY! From this product. I wish I could submit a photo of my armpits now.

I just thought my body chemistry changed somehow but after reading all the reviews I've seen I'm convinced that they somehow changed the ingredients and my body doesn't like it. But after visiting with others the subject came up about Old Spice Deodorant to hear others reporting the same issues in which I had no idea. Searched the internet to discover others had the same exact symptoms. Switched over to FIJI and it just stopped working halfway through the day and then switched over to Pure Sport to see that it also stops working. I only kept the BearGlove & LionPride as a reminder of what NOT to purchase nor use anymore. I can't believe Old Spice would do this to people instead of being more concerned of their profit margin. Earlier this year my boyfriend started using a different kind of Old Spice. It was the presses powder one. It didn’t have a huge smell. It seemed harmless... He was wrong. The chemical burns were so severe he could not even lift his arm or wear anything with sleeves for almost two weeks!!! We treated with Aloe Vera and calamine lotion. Typical remedies.

Here we are now towards the end of the year and he has since switched to gel product. I have started to use Old Spice myself as I do not find the girl products to be as deodorizing and last as long as the female products in the same department. I’m highly upset because now I am having a chemical burn under both arms... I’ve tried to reach out to Old Spice numerous times... only to be put on a long hold of which I don’t feel as a consumer with an issue such as mine should have to wait. Can we at least, as consumers, get answers as to why your product is burning our skin Old Spice??? You were put under fire of a lawsuit in 2016 for the same thing!!! Either pull your product off of shelves or start compensating your consumers for their pain and suffering!!!
