I have used Old Spice deodorant for years without any concerns. Recently a burn developed when using the pure sport. It has taken weeks to heal. It went thru a scab to a bruise looking stage. I am not quite sure if I purchased a bad batch as this has never occurred before. The burns are quite painful and have still not completely healed after about 4 weeks.

I have been using Old Spice for years. Well that is until recently I started with a rash in my armpit. Did not think much of it and kept up with the routine of deodorant. That is until my arms burned so bad just with water I had to the emergency room and they told me to stop deodorant right away and the dr said she was not sure what was causing it - possibly the deodorant. Now it has been three weeks and the burring has stopped. However I have very bad burns to both armpits.

Initially, I thought it was just a skin irritation and will go away but didn't. I finally stopped using it. However, the red marks and itching still under my arms and continues to itch. I'm currently using CVS anti itching cream to stop the itching.

I just learned of the Old Spice rash that's going around -- finally an answer to my own rash! Like many of the other rash complaints, I've used Old Spice Red Zone products for years without any issues. Having said that, it didn't occur to me this product was the issue. Luckily, I had just visited a dermatologist for an eyelid skin irritation. As we were wrapping up my appointment - I asked if my underarm rash was related?? She said probably not, and questioned if I was using new soaps or detergents? I assumed it was a new soap I bought which I discontinued use.

Regardless, she said her prescribed lotion product for my eye irritation could also double to be used for my underarm rash. And it worked!! But not changing deodorant brands has had the rash continuing to reappear. This morning I recognized an underarm rash photo on social media and thought "that looks like my rash". So now it's time to change deodorant to see if I can eradicate the rash for good.

For those of you suffering from this rash - what helped me was applying "Cordran Lotion - Flurandrenolide Lotion, USP". It's labeled RX Only, so you may need to meet with a dermatologist or your family doctor first. This lotion usually takes the rash away within 24 hours and offers quick relief to the skin irritation. It's been a savior for me. Good luck!!! FYI - my 1-star rating is due to my current rash. Outside of this issue I like the Old Spice brand and have found great humor in their recent marketing campaigns that has renewed the brand's image. I hope they fix this soon.

My 14 year old son has been using Old Spice deodorant for the last year or so. He experienced chemical burns a couple of months ago but at the time didn't realize it was the Old Spice. Last week late at night I saw a news blurb on Old Spice Chemical Burns and made a mental note to check it out. I woke up the very next morning with my son having new chemical burns from the deodorant. I was elated to tell him I had just seen a something on the news about Old Spice causing chemical burns. Needless to say he is in serious pain. We're using Neosporin every couple of hours but this is ridiculous. This is the second time he has experienced this and Procter & Gamble needs to take those products off of the shelves. The latest stick was Wolfthorn but he's used several and had a chemical reaction twice.

I have use Old Spice products for several years. When I switched to the "High Endurance" line of deodorants problems started. My left armpit turned a glossy red over the entire area. My right armpit developed wide red streaks. In November 2015, I talked with my doctor who prescribed a prescription product for this condition. I used the cream for about six weeks without any improvement. I switch doctors and the new doctor recommended a fungicide. It didn't work. So I purchased an over the counter fungicide and the problem seems to have finally cleared up. I have not been able to used deodorants for over six months. I have three full Old Spice High Endurance containers along with a partially used one.

In April of 2015, I noticed my armpits were irritated and sensitive at work. After getting home, I was shocked to find bright red rashes streaked around both my armpits, one side more severe than the other. I immediately tossed my deodorant, changed soap, and also stopped using latex gloves at work, suspecting in particular an allergy to the latter. The rashes persisted severely for over a week, and only got worse even after stopping use of any kind of deodorant, using just gentle soap and water and talc powder to get through my work days. Painful, slightly oozy and red. They didn't seriously diminish until about two weeks.

Later in October, I had another rash, in an identical fashion - just used a new stick of Old Spice, Pure Sport scent I believe, for the first time. Again, I tossed the deodorant, soap and this time also switched detergent brands. And again, a severe rash persisted for around two weeks, from a *one time exposure*. The rash ran in a periphery around my actual armpit and hair, similar to many of the photos already posted, with one arm also having a small burn directly beneath the auxiliary hair. Most of the burns placed in a circular fashion though, not directly in line with the application of the deodorant.

I still have very faint dark scar tissue from the burns, a *year after the original incident*. I can assure you, the claim from Old Spice that this is probably an 'alcohol sensitivity' is completely bogus. I've experienced no reaction from many forms of alcohol contact, from alcoholic beverages, to direct skin exposure to various forms of ethanol. I recently saw a little local news piece about consumers experiencing issues with Old Spice deodorant and was surprised to find photos of *identical* rashes/burns. I will definitely no longer be using any form of Old Spice product anymore, as I now know the culprit.

I have been searching all over the internet for what has been going on with my armpits. I can take a picture right now and show you that we have 3 different laundry detergents we have been trying to see if this will stop the madness. Different fabric softeners, etc. I recently came across someone who took pics of their armpits and posted online. It was exactly what I had been going through. It brought me here! I used to use Speed Stick as a deodorant, but switched to Old Spice back in 2012. I had no clue that it was the cause of everything. We lived in Hawaii at the time on Oahu. I tried out Old Spice and was using their Classic Line as well as their Wolfthorn and Lionpride brands. As I do nearly every night I take a shower, use their body wash, and put on their deodorant before bed. (It gets hot there in Hawaii and not many places have AC.)

I woke up one morning and my armpit itched like crazy. I put some ointment on it thinking maybe it was a bug bite. Within 3 days it had spread rapidly, like a burn. It hurt, stung, itched, and dried, and peeled, cracked, and it seemed no matter what I did to ease the pain, it would come back with a vengeance. I scoured and looked at TONS of pictures online trying to find out what it was on most of the medical websites. I found some that were like it, but couldn't find anything. After a month of using the deodorant I figured it was the only logical excuse as to what could be causing the issue. I contacted Old Spice and asked if they had complaints about burns and rashes, and the young lady said she had not heard about it, but if I feel that is the issue, then I should stop using that brand.

I stopped using it. I thought about using something else, but why use another deodorant? To put it on top of a burn? Also, not sure if anyone else experienced this, but I used to have body odor... not bad body odor, but the normal kind when you sweat. Since these burns overran my armpits, I no longer have body odor under my arms. Weird? It just doesn't smell like BO anymore.

To this day I still have these burns. They hurt, they itch, crack, bleed, peel, and I have to continuously put Anti-Itch Cream (I found that Gold Bond Menthol lotion helps to ease the pain, in the green bottle) on my arm pits before I go to bed just so I can sleep easier. I have to repeat the process when I wake up before going to work just to get through the day. It will hurt so bad that I can't even put my arms down.

The rashes finally went away after 2 years. 2 FREAKIN' YEARS! In 2014 I decided to use their new branding called SWAGGER and then Classic. Worst mistake of my life. The rash is back. It hurts and does the same thing. Does anyone else see the skin so irritated that it almost forms pimples or builds pus below the skin and you can feel pressure? It is now 2016 and I STILL have it. No matter what I do, it just won't go away. I stay away from any antiperspirants. I have not used deodorant since 2014. Can ANYONE help and let me know what I need to do to make these go away? I seriously think my armpits are screwed. Any help would be most appreciated!

My 15 year old son started using the Old Spice Swagger Deodorant (blue solid) and developed severe rashes, itching and burning under both armpits. It was painful for him to shower, wear clothes and even reach for things. The rash was raised and bright red spanning the length of his armpits. After a week of major discomfort, especially while running, we took him to a dermatologist. He asked about laundry detergent or any other changes and felt it might be a seasonal allergic reaction. My son was prescribed a cream which helped for a little while but then the nasty looking rashes came back. After seeing that others have had the same problem, we are discontinuing use immediately because the rash has not gone away after nearly 6 weeks.

I have been using the same scents that people have been claiming they are getting rashes from. Sounds like people are after an easy dollar in my opinion. I've been using Old Spice since I started wearing deodorant and haven't had a rash or anything. If you read the label it states reactions may happen. Stop using if it occurs. This was purchased at my local grocer. The reaction I had after a couple of uses was severe and I have been using triple antibiotic ointment to heal it for almost 3 weeks and it is now finally clearing up. For the better part of a week, it was extremely tender and painful to touch. I had no idea what was the cause of this until I saw the news yesterday and the lights went on finally. Whatever is causing it, at least in my case seems to occur in the first uses and quits once you are through the first layer of the product. This had happened once before about 4 months ago and I had the exact same reaction!

I'm rather upset now that it's all coming to light. I was checking to see if we had changed laundry soaps and everything but because it stopped burning me after few applications, for some reason I didn't connect it to the deodorant until now. Both times it was the same thing in my case. When I opened a new unit the burns occurred and within a few applications it quit causing the problem, almost as if something was collecting in the top layer of the product but gone after a few uses? Don't know but not happy at all! You can see the scarring left after 3 weeks using triple antibiotic ointment but is now healed.

I then switched to Dove to see if it was the deodorant and had no problems, so I knew it was something to do with the Old Spice. I Googled it at the time and found pictures of it happening all over the internet; this is definitely a product that should come off of the shelves. I am not allergic to any other products or scents therefore I assume this was some sort of chemical burn. As a result, I no longer trust using any Old Spice products.

I used a white antifungal cream. This cooled it down but started burning again. My complete armpit was red. I tried baby powder. It made it crusty so washed it out with a rag water. I used 2 wet rags under arms. Went to Doctor. He gave an antifungal medication. Took it for 4 weeks. It finally stopped burning. Started getting clearing up. After it stopped getting sore red blistering burning like a blow torch. This was extremely painful. And still have problems with it.

I started using Old Spice deodorant when I was in high school back in the early 2000s. It went on clear and it was the only scent that I really liked/lasted throughout the day. The day after application I'd develop a rash that left me in so much pain that I couldn't even raise my arms. Initially, I thought it might have just been friction but eventually it was clear that the deodorant was the cause. My mother felt that throwing it away would mean wasting money so she had me just deal with it. So the cycle started. I'd apply one day, feel burned the next and have to go to school smelling like a locker room since it hurt too much to reapply. Then when the burning stopped, I'd reapply and start the cycle again.

The most frustrating part is I tried other brands but they just didn't mix well with my natural scent. I tried the white sticks but those just don't do the job well or make a big mess with darker clothing. So I kept using Old Spice and still use it to this day, but since they created the Swagger scent, I've stopped experiencing the burning. I'm glad I found the article about the lawsuit. Until today I thought I was the only one this was happening to so I never thought to say anything. While I'm a huge fan of the product I'm using currently, I do think they need to be held accountable for the damage they've done in the past.

He could not even lift his arms above his head or have any type of material touch his armpit. Well, I ended up taking him to the Emergency Room because the burn was so bad. They could not really pinpoint it, so they asked if he was in sports and I said "yes." They put down -- it was a yeast infection and gave him two topical creams to apply to both armpits. There's a stick of Old Spice Pure Sport that has been in my track bag since my freshman year of high school. It's seemingly endless, and it's always worked in a pinch after a meet when I smell like death.

This past Saturday, I got done running my meet and had to go shower afterwards. I brought along my trusty stick of never ending deodorant for afterwards. Five minutes after I got done showering, getting dressed, and putting my deodorant on, I noticed a burning. It went away after 10 more minutes, and I didn't notice anything until the next day when my armpit was on fire. Now it hurts to do basically anything with my left arm, and the biggest irony is that I can't wear any deodorant at all until it heals up. The whole reason I'm in this situation is that I didn't want to smell like death after my meet, but now I get to smell like death in one armpit for a whole week. Get it together Old Spice.

I recently bought Old Spice Aqua Reef gel deodorant for my 13 year old son. He used it for three days last week and then quickly developed a horrible rash/chemical burn in his left armpit. I took him to the doctor because it became infected within a matter of about 48 hours. He is now on an antibiotic to treat the infection, missed one day of school, and experiences extreme pain when trying to lift his arm. Once he does get it lifted, it hurts to put it back down.

I contacted Old Spice to speak with them about this reaction he had and find out what other people were saying about allergic reactions. The two ladies I spoke with acted as though they have never had a complaint with an allergic reaction and could give me no examples of what an allergic reaction would cause. One lady just kept telling me that safety is a priority for their company. She offered to refund my money and send me a coupon for a different product. I wasn't entirely sure that the deodorant is what caused the rash/infection/chemical burn until I read all of these complaints. The pictures that have been posted are similar, if not identical, to what my son has on his arm. To learn that so many people have had such a strong reaction to Old Spice products is a surprise and I'm quite disappointed that their products are still available for purchase.

I have been using Old Spice deodorant since junior high. Im 29 now. Until last week. In the middle of the day my armpits were feeling uncomfortable. It got worse and worse. After work I got home and looked in the mirror. Both my armpits were red and it made sense because I was in a lot of pain at that point. First thing I did, was toss Old Spice in the trash where it belongs. Now I wear Toms deodorant. Doesn't smell as great but at least my armpits aren't burning. I once in a while use my husband's Old Spice deodorant because it's longer lasting, smells good and goes on clear. I like to wear it when I wear black tops so deodorant doesn't show all over. I usually wear Dove powder scent. I would say I use the product couple times a month and I haven't really had a problem in the past other than a minimum amount of irritation but I shave my underarms everyday so I figured that had something to do with it and I would just not wear it for a while again and that seemed to work... until the other day.

I put it on and within a few hours noticed burning but thought maybe it was razor burn because my razor was kind of dull so I switched it out. Then I thought to myself and tried to remember what I used. I had used a new oil of Olay body wash and I thought it was a new soap mixed with razor burn. But then remembered I also shaved my legs and bikini area and I didn't have any irritation at all. Until I remembered I used old spice deodorant.

At first I was googling images of severe razor burn and soap allergy and the pics didn't even come close to what mine looked like. So after remembering I used the deodorant I looked up chemical burns. Same day I googled this (about 4 days into it) my underarms started turning into boils and scarred looking like a burn! I was appalled!!! I have used Silver, Hydrocortizone, coconut oil, Bactine, Vaseline. Nothing helps! And it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse.

I cannot lift my arms and then if I do get them lifted I cannot put them back down. The skin is so raw and is peeling. My arms are constantly on fire and now it's starting to swell up. I'm headed to the doctor today if I can get in. I am a personal trainer and an owner of a restaurant and both jobs require lifting. I can't even do my job properly or sleep. It's horrible. I'll never buy this product for us again.

I never write reviews, but this merited my time. I have been using the same deodorant since high school (a long time ago), and was looking for something that wouldn't melt in my purse so I could reapply as needed. So I went on a hunt to find a good deodorant that worked well and smelled good. A coworker recommended the Old Spice "Wolfthorn" scent because it smells like gummy bears (wanted something girly as I am a girl), and would hold up in my purse without a dramatic change in the texture.

So I thought I had finally found my perfect deodorant but after 2 weeks of using it everyday or so I came home one night and noticed my armpits were sore.. I lifted them up and saw that I had a huge chemical burn/rash!! Nothing else has changed in my regimen so the deodorant had to be the culprit. I showed my coworker and she said she had the same thing happen to her when she started using the same deodorant but attributed it to something else. I'm writing this to warn other consumers about this produce as I don't want anyone to have to go through this. The pain is tolerable but definitely not comfortable and I can't shave or use deodorant it's embarrassing. Please be careful when using Old Spice products.

A few months ago I bought Old Spice "fresh" and not long after that I noticed a large abrasion in my armpit. After finally going to the doctor, she had no idea what it was from. I never thought it could be my deodorant because I have NEVER had a reaction to anything in my life. My abrasion finally went away and I continued to use the Old Spice. My brother had received a free sample of the Old Spice Wolfthorn deodorant, so I snagged it from him and thought I would give it a go. After putting it on, I noticed that my underarms were tingling, but I assumed being female, it was just a way men's deodorant feels. After about an hour my underarms were extremely itchy and "hot" feeling. I thought I was having an allergic reaction so I washed it off immediately. The next morning I woke up and noticed a small rash. I immediately stopped using it because I was clearly allergic, or so I thought.

Throughout the day my underarms were burning as if I was on fire. My underarms had burn marks in the area that I had applied the deodorant. I went and saw a doctor immediately and he diagnosed it as a First Degree Chemical Burn from the deodorant and prescribed me a topical ointment for treatment. It is now scarring and I am shocked to find out I am not the only one with this concern. How is this product allowed to be sold in stores? Been a loyal consumer of old spice for a decade, and have used swagger for at least 4 years without a "noticeable " incident. Went camping with two of my boys 2 weeks ago, and had found a previous swagger in my camping pack from last summer. When opened it seemed a little different visually (maybe slimy) than usual, but it's not like these things have shelf life, right?

Showered on the second night and felt the mint tingling feeling described. Next day we spent 5 hours doing trail work (clearing brush, raking etc) and arm pits felt chaffed - understandably so! Had to sleep with arms over my head for several days. Next day I went swimming and laid in the sun with my arms over my head for about 20-25 minutes, and again felt tight - attributed to work and maybe sun (fair skinned and in an area of limited exposure). Pretty Uncomfortable but not painful.

Fast forward 4 days and after getting out of the shower at our house, noticed moderately angry redness of both armpits. As a doctor, my first thought was "could there have been some solar flares that gave me a sunburn or interacted with the deodorant?" Or "how could I have gotten a yeast infection of BOTH armpits so quickly?" These pics are 10 days out and still show the discoloration.

Decided to check the internet and found these postings. Disappointed in P & G, given this is not an isolated incident. Still doesn't answer the consumer questions of why some have an immediate reaction while others have a delayed reaction. Is there a shelf life problem? Is it sensitive to sunlight? Is it certain batches of quality control issues, as I've been wearing it without significant incident for years? Is it reacting with certain laundry detergent or fabric softeners?

I am about 10 days out from the initial incident and still uncomfortable (tingling 1.5 out of 10 on a pain scale, at worst was 3 - like a really tight sunburn). Not like the second and third degree burns in some of these complaints. Does someone have to die of a skin infection before they take note? I would think a responsible company would take measures to protect the public from their products; with warnings, batch quality control and/or removal from the shelves. This is the third horrible story I've heard about their business acumen. Maybe when enough people stop buying their products, all of their products, they'll feel more responsive to their customers.

They should have to meet certain codes because after I looked it up, evidently, a lot of people have had this problem. I think a good lawyer has enough evidence to make a good lawsuit. The deodorant and pictures is enough for me. Luckily, I had enough sense to stop using it.

I normally use Right Guard stick deodorant but my sister bought me Old Spice gel decoder. One day I was out of Right Guard and I decided to give old spice a try, even though I find gel deodorant to be sticky and uncomfortable. That day I did feel that my armpit had a tingling sensation. The next day I found that a stinging sensation was there, so I decided to not wear any deodorant at all.

On about the third day, after getting out of the shower I noticed the burn that had occurred under my armpit. I first thought that it was maybe a rash or some sort of terrible bug bite and I went to the doctor where I was prescribed antibiotics just in case it was some sort of bacterial infection that could be contagious. It was not until I googled Old Spice armpit rash and I found this site that I realized that I am only one of 85+ victims who have been injured by this product. For some unknown reason, Old Spice deodorant has triggered a chemical burn on our left underarms.

I have been using Old Spice Pure Sport body spray for a decade and it has been fantastic. Recently, they changed the short stubby can to a tall can to match the newest line of animal inspired scents (Wolfthorn, etc.). However, they also changed the spray's formula and when I used the newest version of pure sport body spray, it took about 15 minutes and my armpits were burning like I had scraped them raw. I had experienced this a few years ago when trying to use the Old Spice Pure Sport deodorant stick, so I knew what was going on.

I washed my armpits with warm soapy water and it took about 2 days for the area to calm down and heal. My skin is about as insensitive as skin can get, yet old spice has now twice managed to irritate it. I then used some of the old version of Pure Sport body spray, which I still had left, and it worked as wonderfully as ever. Whatever they have done with their deodorants a few years ago, and now their body sprays, has resulted in products that seem to cause a ton of skin irritation.

I noticed last week that her hair looked very nice and she told me she was using the Wolfthorn shampoo. So of course I tried it. I used it on Sunday night. All day Monday my face felt weird, dry, itchy. By Tuesday morning I woke up with swollen red eye lid and cheek on the right side of my face. Not knowing what it was from, thinking maybe I had eaten something I shouldn't have, I used the shampoo again Tuesday night. By Wednesday the rash had grown, by Friday morning it was on both sides of my face, burning, itching and my eyes were beginning to swell shut.

I went to Urgent Care and given a steroid and instructions to use a topical cream on my face. It's improving but that was horrible. I am currently comparing it to my regular shampoo (which was a regular Wal-Mart brand) that never gave me any issues. So far some of the ingredients are the same but the Old Spice has five more chemicals in it than my old shampoo. I plan on looking them up to see what they are exactly. The picture is day one.

It burned so bad I had to wash them in cold water and couldn't use deodorant until about 5 days later when it finally went away. Just out of curiosity, I put a cigarette lighter to it just to see what would happen. Low and behold it caught fire instantly and burned until I ran water over it. The blue deodorant stick contains denatured alcohol, which is highly flammable. It was another 10 years or so before I went near another Old Spice product. I tried the Champion antiperspirant (white stuff) and never had a problem. I currently alternate between Fiji, Swagger, Lionpride and the new Timber scents, and have had no trouble. About three days ago, I went to the gym after a hard day. I came home, took a shower, put on deodorant after the shower, and went to bed. The deodorant I used was Old Spice Matterhorn. It was a new tube, but I've used this brand for as long as it has been out. Previously, I've used other Old Spice tubes pretty much every day for more than 10 years without a problem. I did nothing differently. At about 4 in the morning, I woke up after dreaming my left shoulder and arm were on fire. I was in a cold sweat and noticed I was in actual agony even while awake. My left underarm was in excruciating pain of a kind I've experienced once before in my life: in 2009, I was admitted to Sunnybrook Hospital's burn ward for emergency invasive treatment of acid burns to my hands caused during a metal assaying accident. I know what a chemical burn feels like.

My left underarm felt proportionately worse than my hands did. I ran to the bath and immediately tried to scrub off the Old Spice from my already blistered and raw skin. Only one underarm was affected. I can't explain why. One of the most painful experiences in my life was trying to scrub off the deodorant that morning. It didn't help. I immersed the affected area in water. It didn't seem to help.

I cannot overstate the amount of physical pain involved: I was very surprised that such an apparently small wound could hurt that much. But it did. After bathing three times for more than 20 minutes each time without even slowing the progression of the chemical burn, it began to seem like the chemical from the Old Spice had actually been absorbed into my skin. I called Telehealth Ontario and they were adamant that I needed to go to an emergency room. The RN I spoke with said, "have you applied Old Spice? " before I said it was deodorant that caused the burn. This is well known now. So I'm going to omit what has happened since I called Telehealth but I acted appropriately.

I am still in severe pain. I can't believe the relevant company has not done a recall nor can I understand why Health Canada has not ordered one. In any event, my burn is on only one side and it has scanned over. Many of the pictures on this page are as bad or worse than mine. If both underarms were affected, I would certainly be unable to go about my business. I can't raise my left arm; I can't sleep without being awoken by terrible pain, I can't do many things - but at least I have the normal use of one arm. However long the healing process takes, it's much longer than 3 days. I will be proceeding against the relevant company and distributor because they know of the problem and have failed to discharge their duty to warn. Also, for those in Ontario, consider reading the Sale of Goods Act which is annexed into every contract for the sale of consumer goods (no matter the disclaimer) pursuant to the Consumer Protection Act. Anyone who is in Canada and who has experienced these burns should really report it to Health Canada. Help other people out and get this toxic chemical pulled from the shelves, please.

However, since I found out that a lot of deodorants have Aluminum Zir something in it, I have been making my own deodorants from scratch. Aluminum that is in old spice along with most other deodorants has been linked to all kinds of health problems (from what I found). Because of this, I have cut back on my store bought deodorants just to be on the safe side. On Friday, 10/24/14, after running out of my usual deodorant, I decided to use my husband's Old Spice gel stick deodorant (He normally uses another brand anyway). In less than 12 hours after that horrible mistake, I have suffered 1st-degree chemical burns to both of my armpits, which are very painful, and at times unbearable! It has already been 4 days, and the redness, swelling and burning pain have only gotten worse, causing me physical disability. I cannot live my life as usual right now because Old Spice refuses to take responsibility for their product. When I called them yesterday, I was asked a series of questions and offered a $5.00 check. Can you believe the nerve?!?

If I decide that I am unable to tough it through the pain any longer and decide to make a visit to the local Urgent Care or Emergency Department, I asked if I would be reimbursed for those expenses, not to mention prescription medications, etc. Old Spice's response: "We're sorry, but we can't do that." So now I lay here suffering, undoubtedly scarred physically and mentally from this, trying to alleviate some of the pain with cold compresses and ibuprofen. This is so wrong. Many years ago, I was a strong supporter of not using products which were tested on animals, and the following is a link to help explain why: **

Proctor & Gamble is the greedy, inhumane company that makes Old Spice. They are notorious for performing cruel tests of their products on animals. Well, Proctor & Gamble, YOU FOOLS, human beings ARE NOT monkeys or cats or dogs or rats... HUMANS ARE DIFFERENT IN COUNTLESS WAYS, SO WHY DON'T YOU TEST YOUR PRODUCTS ON HUMANS (with their consent and monetary reimbursement, of course) BEFORE SUBJECTING YOUR DANGEROUS PRODUCTS TO THE UNSUSPECTING PUBLIC!!!

In retrospect, my husband and I now realize that he, too, had suffered painful burns on the outside of his armpits, beyond the hair line. I suppose the hair works as a barrier to Old Spice's toxic chemicals. Needless to say, my entire family will be checking all personal hygiene products from this point forward. No Proctor & Gamble product will enter into this household again. As a matter of fact, if the product doesn't have the words "not tested on animals" imprinted on the package, they can take their product and shove it where the sun doesn't shine!!!

I didn't feel anything at first as I was in a rush to get somewhere. While driving I felt an itchy tingling sensation. I thought nothing of it and figured it was normal, kinda how mint gives a cool tingle freshness. I got to my destination and was sitting in a chair and my armpits had become constantly itchy. I couldn't take it anymore, I thought it was my shirt irritating my armpits or something. So I went to the bathroom and took my shirt off to look and see what was happening. I saw large area of redness, I thought it was an allergic reaction or something. Keep in mind I am 25 years old, and I have never experienced an allergic reaction to anything, not even during allergy season and not even when using straight chlorine to clean my pool deck.

I immediately began to run cold water on my armpits and that wasn't working. I tried soap and water and that seemed to help a little. So I thought I'd go home and switch shirts and wash my armpits and go on with my day. I decided not to reapply deodorant after changing shirts because with an inflamed and irritated area it could be super sensitive now and applying deodorant could make it worse. So the next day the itchy and tingle and burning sensations had subsided. So I put on a new shirt and applied deodorant as usual, immediately the itchy, burning, tingling sensation came back. I immediately washed my armpits as I did not want to experience that again. That is when I thought it could be the deodorant stick. I will no longer use old spice and will advocate it to others in hopes to save them from the pain and scaring and humiliation publicly.

Just wondering, because I have shied away from their HIGH ENDURANCE brands ever since they introduced them because I don't like any of the scents, they all seem to have way too strong an odor for me. Maybe I'm lucky I didn't try them.

To anyone that has used Old Spice and has been burned by it read this article to help it go away. I recently went swimming and found the next day my arm in pain with a tender red ring. I ignored it and thought it would go away. My arm got worse and I could not lift it because of the pain. I thought it was a ring worm a fungi so I used lotion and a fungi cream to help. All that did was made it bearable. I finally just put regular neosporin (spell check) it has been two days. My dead broken skin is healed and I can move it much more freely with some extent.

Here's how I got rid of my rash/ chemical burn. 1. Stop using deodorant. 2. Wash the affected area with soap and warm water gently and carefully. It will burn the first few time but power through it with a nice clean wash. 3. Dry the affected area completely. 4. Apply neosporin to the area and keep your arm lifted and stretched until substance seems dry. This will help stretching the skin so you can lift it more freely. 5. Lift your arm as much as possible and power through it. Do not use deodorant until burn goes away an be careful with which deodorant. Do this at least 2 times daily one at night and then the morning.

This is what I did to cure my burn. As an alternative you may try A&D ointment that is for burns. But if you can't afford a doctor visit or E.R visit like myself. This should help. Follow these steps and it should be gone within a week. Hope this helps.

After using Old Spice for quite some time, I switched to their deodorant/antiperspirant. Within 2 days, I have a horrible chemical burn under my arms - which I notice is already starting to blister. I am in extreme pain and extremely dissatisfied with your product. Hopefully this will heal within a timely manner, but if any serious medical bills and/or scarring will occur - I will be reaching out to my lawyer. With this amount of complaints, I am truly shocked nothing has been done. STAY AWAY!

I used old spice swagger 1 time. The next day I started to break out in rash so I applied rash ointment. Then I noticed my skin was starting to come off and it was really red and raw. After I realized it was just getting worse I decided to go to ER and that's when I was told it was not a rash from deodorant but a chemical burn. They prescribed a cream but it is not looking any better. It is in fact bleeding now. I am disgusted with the many complaints I've read that are similar to mine and can not believe this deodorant is still being sold!! Anyone know of any lawsuits against company?

I have been an Old Spice customer for years, and I have never had an issue with their product before. I recently bought a new batch of stick deodorant from them, and this morning was my first time using it. As soon as it touched my skin, I began to feel an uncomfortable itching and burning. Twenty minutes later, I arrived at work and the sensation started to get much worse. I went into the bathroom and used a wet towel to try to remove the deodorant, but had only moderate success. As I write this, the burning continues. An angry red rash has formed in my armpits, and nothing I've tried so far has been able to soothe the pain. I have a getaway planned this weekend for my girlfriend's birthday, and we're supposed to leave tomorrow morning. I can't wait to explain the sexy, bright red welts under my arms to her. Thanks Old Spice.

Almost word for word experience and rash from the referenced brand of Old Spice. We don't have Obama Care-less, so it makes us angry that we have to seek medical attention for this problem. My husband has used Old Spice several times in the past. Something seriously wrong with this chemical burn batch!

Applied old spice, pure sport high endurance deodorant and have used the product in the past with no issues. Recently I developed severe chemical burns that are painful. Seems as if they have a bad batch or new formula. This is ridiculous how bad it burns you.

Used Old Spice antiperspirant and body wash for 15 yrs, no problems. Went on vacation over 4th of July and used the Wolfthorn regular deodorant stick and started to burn a couple days later from using it. Tried Gold Bond to keep it dry, didn't work... used straight aloe and it helped for a day but after one day when I applied aloe, it felt as though there was a blowtorch under my arm for 20 min. Went to E.R., and they tried to give me expensive creams to try. Went to dermatologist and she told me Vaseline only on the open wound and put me on steroids and antibiotics and swabbed puss for testing.

Results came back positive for E. Coli bacteria from the deodorant. Got a letter from P&G, Old Spice division today and it says if used as directed there should be no problems and gave me a $6 coupon for more Old Spice product, BUT told me to keep the deodorant since they may want it back so they can destroy it. Called a lawyer after reading this letter and they informed me that the deodorant would have to be tested to prove a case and that costs $3000-$5,000 and would be in my best interest to find a current on-going case and join it.

I've used Old Spice Pure Sport High Endurance for a couple years now and have been a loyal customer. Recently, I began feeling a burning sensation in my armpits which turned into open sores. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something but not sure what since I haven't made any changes in any of the personal care products or detergents in our household. I started doing some research and realized others were having the EXACT SAME problem and have pictures of the same type of burns/sores! BUYER BEWARE!
