My family has 4 LG phones and three different models. They have all been modified so that you cannot format the sd card as internal memory. That is a feature on the new Android. They disabled it. You cannot move any apps to the card. You cannot move mp3 or any other music format to sd. Players cannot find it. Downloaded games, apps of any kind cannot be moved to sd. All of them eat up internal storage. The camera on my K10 only has a 4X zoom. Pitiful. Seems like a ploy to get you to buy more expensive phone with more memory. Will never buy another LG product.

My LG G4 suffered from boot looping after less than a year. LG acknowledges this defect but failed to recall the affected phones. However, since my phone was still in warranty, I sent it to LG for repair on Dec 30. FedEx lost the repaired phone so after being reimbursed by FedEx, LG sent me a replacement. The replacement they sent me is not compatible with my carrier, Sprint. LG, depending on who I talk to, says that either the ESN release needs to be filed or that the release has already been processed. I have made at least five requests for the ESN release to be filed since Feb 3, but my phone still doesn't work on Sprint's network. I've been without a phone for nearly two months now and have given up hope that LG will ever help me. They will not activate the replacement, send me a replacement that works with my carrier, or refund me. Their customer service is a complete joke. Avoid LG products at all costs.

I have purchased LG10 V from AT&T; I have it for about 15 months when it suddenly stopped working. It won't turn on and has Bootlooped. I called LG support unfortunately my warranty just expired this January first as per the technician. I told her that I found many other customers with the same problem on the internet while trying to figure out what was wrong with my phone and she told me that they never had a complaint. This is a fault of LG. They should fix the problem for the customer without an extra charge. I am not happy with LG. Loved the phone while it lasted but hate that it only lasted a little over one year for the price that I paid.

This phone is absolutely the worst. Period. System UID's out of hack to no fixable solution. This was the worst purchase ever. Not ever again will I make this mistake. My memory card has been wiped twice now, and that in itself is worthy of all the hate and venom I can ever possibly come up with to say regarding LG phones. This is not the first LG phone I've had problems with, and this purchase took 29 months for me to decide due to the prior dissatisfied experience. Thank you.

3 months after receiving my refurbished LG g4 phone I started having problems. I would not be in control of my settings. Either it would be blocked out or not be there at all. My phone would download things all the time even if I tried to stop it. I would receive fake lg legal agreements. My phone would turn off when I would try to record it with my other cameras. I would get redirected to fake websites as well as fake 1 800 numbers. It would turn on repeatedly when I would try and factory reset. It would have this vibrating pulse about every 3 seconds that would drain my battery extremely fast. It would delete any photos or videos that I would record of it. It would know when I was about to make calls or report this to someone and turn off my phone before I could dial number, as if it could see my every move. Amongst a few other things that happened in last 30 days them are just a few.
I'm 100% convinced that someone was remotely controlling my phone and was able to see through the camera because it would stop me from doing something seconds before I could dial number or record it or anything of that nature. It could change setting right in front of my me and had total control of my phone. After 3 factory resets nothing would stop this hacking attack to my phone. I cannot google things now because I won't agree to the google agreement. I'm limited to phone calls and texts. Of which I had never received missing texts and tech support said it showed texts leaving their phone but would never make it to mine for starters etc...
If anybody else believes they were actually hacked and not just victim to malfunctions of the phone please let me know. I'm not going to give them my phone back for refund after reading in the reviews what a nightmare that will be. I'm going to get a different phone and never buy anything lg again. I might try to find a tech who can inspect it carefully and see if he can detect any tampering with because I'm 100% know I was a victim of a hacking scam.

LG G4 phone still on lease program will not reboot after one year and one month. Sprint rep made us aware of LG G4 issues, told us to go directly to LG. After sending phone back for inspection LG claimed not under warranty due to damage. I have never dropped the phone and have always kept the phone in an Otterbox for protection. The only damage the phone has is a cracked camera lens from my carrying in back pocket. The phone has been able to be used with the lens cover damage.
LG said they could fix for $85 for the lens and $185 for the other issue. Having contacted LG support and speaking to someone from? The rep was on script and kept saying “Due to damage your phone is not under warranty. You can pay to have phone repaired.” After continually asking if a diagnostic had been run to verify a software issue has been done and asking if there is a known issue she reluctantly admitted there was an issue of people not being able to boot up beyond the LG screen.
We researched and noticed many complaints about this phone have indicated that numerous persons have and are experiencing the exact same problem. I just asked for them to repair the software issue, don't worry about the lens I can get a replacement for $13. They are sending the phone back as I sent them. I am S.O.L. and having to continue paying for a defective phone. Out of frustration some have tried repairing themselves. Some have found that by taking a hair blower and heating the chips so they will fall back in place can sometimes repair the phone.
How can a company out of good conscious knowing there is an issue continue to treat a consumer in such a manner and stay in business? How can we as consumers come together and file a suit against LG??? To make an issue right? The attempt to contact LG has been impossible after having missed the call from Alabama after I complained the previous weekend. I get caught in a loop and am unable to make contact with a real live person... Only having to hang up…

My LG G4 headset icon is stuck to on even when the headset is unplugged. I don't know why. This is the 2nd time it happened to me. The first time I've sent it in for repair, the phone worked for 1 1/2 month, the 2nd time, I've exchange it for a replacement phone. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue. I've noticed this happened after I dropped the phone, however, I have a case to protect the phone, so, shouldn't be an issue, but who knows. If it happens again, I'm done with the LG G4. When It's stuck with the headset icon on, the speakers are not working, I can't hear people when they call, I can only talk to them when I put them on speaker. I wonder if anybody else have a similar issues.

I have a LG TV. After 4 years of use, it started to show different type of failures. I searched the web, many people encountered the similar problems. By baking the PCB (main board, or the IO board) can fix the issue, sometimes it will work for a few months. In my case, different issues popped up. I baked it again and fixed it. I am a computer HW engineer and this points to the flow soldering issue during manufacturing. Apparently LG does care because when this showed up, it would have passed the warranty.
In Oct 2015, I purchased their flagship G4 phone. After 14 months of use, the phone is in endless boot loop during power up. Again, many people complained about this. Youtube showed user how to bake the phone. Again, this is the manufacturing SMT soldering issue. I baked the phone and able to get it to work for 24 hours. After a full backup, the phone died again. It is out of warranty. I shipped that back to LG yesterday, and I am not sure how much it will cost to fix it. THE BOTTOM LINE IS: I will not buy any LG products.

Will never own a LG phone again. I bought the beautiful LG G3. Was an amazing phone that was simple yet packed with features. I was a big fan of the phone. I woke up one morning to find that my G3 had bricked. It was stuck in boot loader. I had the phone for little over two years, so it was out of warranty. I ended up buying a new LG G4 for $350.00 (even though the G5 was out). Not even a full year later, my LG G4 bricked. It stays on the LG G4 boot loader screen. Supposedly it's a hardware / mother board issue. Saying that I'm very frustrated is an understatement. These phones are expensive to fix out of warranty, not accounting for the time it takes to fix them. Save yourself time, pain and money, and just stay away.

My LG Nexus 5X was affected by the bootloop issue. One evening it just randomly began restarting, and then never turned back on. I had the phone for 8 months. I had to send it out to LG to be inspected and possibly repair. About 2 weeks later I was told it could not be fixed. They offered to "upgrade" me to a G4, which I didn't not want as it has no fingerprint sensor. They then agreed to ship a G5 instead. About 3 weeks later (one month after my phone died) I get a package that has a refurbished G4 in it. I called and was told a new order will be shipped out with the G5 and I can then send the G4 back. During this whole time, I had to go out and purchase a new phone.
About two weeks later and no G5, I called Customer Support who had no record of the G5 ever being shipped and was told they could do nothing about it. I emailed Customer Support and only get generic "Sorry for the inconvenience" emails back, but nothing is being done each time I call for an update. It 100% safe to say I will never purchase another LG product again. I am glad this happened before me and my wife purchased some new LG washers and dryers we were looking at just before this.

Well at times my LG4 for some reason would recycle itself. Then on Sunday 01\29\2017 it just stopped working. I went to AT&T and I got dumb looks, Till I told them there was a ongoing problem. The nice clerk did some checking and then told me to contact LG. Well time for doing something I LOVE nagging companies that did not let others there was a problem. Well first on to Facebook to contact AT&T and LG and posted in the open about my problem. AT&T was so helpful and told me that LG will take the phone back and fix for free. I got the nice agent's name after telling them that I was thinking of just going to another carrier after 14 years.
Next step. Contacting LG, I went a few rounds and I got the info on how to get the phone serviced for free. Granted it will be almost a month before I get it back. Oh they do tell you to pull your SIM card and extra Memory as they toss them in the trash if it is sent to them in the phone. Granted It took me almost 3 hours. Then I got in touch with AT&T and did an early upgrade. In the morning I will be getting my Kyocera DuraForce XD. Once the LG gets back it will be use it as my UBER only phone. It was worth the fight.

I have read countless stories online from LG customers whose phones have experienced a boot loop failure. LG has publicly acknowledged the issue is a design defect. They have lied to customers and held on to phones for months. I have asked LG to send me a replacement or refund rather than be another who ends up with no repair, no replacement, and no refund. LG customer service will not move my call up the chain. They simply hang-up.

Summary: Paid $72 to have phone repaired and back within 5-7 business days. 25 business days and counting with no phone. Details: I sent my LG G Flex 2 to LG Electronics for out of warranty repair in December 2016. It was received on 12/19/16. It was diagnosed on 12/20/2016 as "Power Completely Off/Components on Board" at fault (This is technically incorrect as I noted it does communicate via USB with a PC and registers as a "Qualcomm 9008" device - physical components were fine, only the software was wiped from memory. Nonetheless LG diagnoses the whole motherboard as faulty and charged $72 to swap it without replacing any housing).
I paid $72 by phone on 12/22/16 at the number provided. Payment was accepted. I verified on my banking app during the call and the service representative verified payment on their end. She stated it'd be "3-5 days for the repair" and I'd get a FedEx tracking number when repair was complete. The email from LG Electronics Alabama, Inc. also stated, "You will receive your repaired unit within 5 to 7 business days from the date we receive your payment." I received no calls or emails and the "Track Repair" page on LG's website still read "Repair In Progress" as of 1/11/17. I called again and the same representative told me the board was on back order and would be available on the 13th. Repairs would begin then, and it'd be 5 more days after that to wait on repairs.
A week later on 1/20/17, I receive an email from LG saying to contact them, that repairs could not be made at this time. This email was sent late business hours Friday afternoon, so I was unable to contact until the following Monday, 1/23/17. The phone number was different, apparently Customer Service division. The previous calls were with the Physical Damage/OOW repair department. The email address was verified as LG.
After half an hour or so of this new representative checking my account, he tells me the board for my phone is actually on back order until March. I informed him that wait is not acceptable because I was already told the part was available as of the 13th by the repair department representative, because the original statement is "receive repaired unit 5 to 7 days from date of payment" and it was a whole calendar month later and because, more practically speaking, I'm moving mid-February and phone is at risk being permanently lost/delayed in mail. He apologizes and offers a refurbished LG G4 instead of my G Flex 2 if I do not wish to wait any longer.
I refused, stating the G4 was well-known to have boot loop issues, not reliable and expressed I preferred my G Flex 2. He then offered a G5. I was unaware of anything defective with that model at the time of the call so I did accept a refurbished G5 to replace my G Flex 2. I was given a second authorization # to track the G5 with and told I would not be receiving my G Flex 2 back. I asked for a FedEx tracking number and - you guessed it - was told I will be sent one by email in 5-7 more days (In retrospect I should have pointed this statement as being an unacceptable wait too, but I maintained the same politeness I've had in all these calls. I felt the issue would be resolved soon).
As of this morning, 1/30/17, my tracking page for my G Flex 2 still reads "Repair In Progress" over a month later. The tracking page for the second number I was given on 1/23/17, to track the G5, has read "Awaiting Customer Shipment" for one week. This is the only message it has said since the representative gave me the tracking number. 1/22/17 when payment was made until today, 1/30/17, is 25 business days. I paid $72 to "receive your repaired unit within 5 to 7 business days from the date we receive your payment." I have made three phone calls to two representatives from different LG departments and don't even have a shipping tracking number yet. I am following up with another phone call during business hours today to try and escalate and expedite my case with LG. This wait is unacceptable and is bordering on unbearable now. Will update with details here moving forward.

Want to charge you $300-$500 for a new phone depending on which one you want. They say to contact LG. LG has had several complaints regarding this phone. They are doing absolutely nothing about it. This is a complete scam. LG is aware of what they are doing with these telephones and that everybody is having the same problem. LG G4 a trash. Just stay away from this phone (or probably all LG phones). I bought this phone 15 months ago, and recently, it stopped working (problem of Boot Looping). I called the service repair and they said "you have to send your phone for servicing" (payable, of course). Firstly, I don't get it from people who are willing to send their phone loaded with private stuff to unknown person for repair. Secondly, why LG did make the solution (repair kit, firm download) available on their website? This problem of boot loop was discovered sept. 2016, and LG representative acknowledged the problem later, and said that all the phone with this issue will be fixed. Here I am now with almost a dead phone loaded with important photos (can't transfer them to PC, USB does not recognize the new drive), and can't send it to a stranger to fix it. Very disappointed.

I am very dissatisfied with LG. It was my first product I used of LG and my life's first expensive thing I bought from my responsibility. It was a great phone according to internet reviews. After a year it stuck into bootloop after updating software. This problem was with many LG G4s. My phone had a little crack on the screen which I got 6 months before the problem happened. LG was taking responsibilities to repair all of the phones but they refused for mine because it had a little scratch on it (according to policy). How funny is this. Yes it had a physical damage, but that doesn't mean this is because of it.
They knew bootloop problem is not because of that physical damage. But as most of the companies out there... Making money and all, asked for 150 dollars + taxes. ** man. My mother and father purchased the "Best Phone on the Market", the LG G4 with the stylish leather back! Yeah... Pure sales tactic garbage. Due for an upgrade and in dire need of new phones, my parents went to the Sprint store. When arriving, they were greeted and shown around to new cell phones. Of course the phone that they push the hardest is always the best right?
With high expectations and excitement for a new phone, my parents were swindled into buying the new $600 dollar LG G4. Not just one, but two of these phones! Long story short and not getting into dates, my father's went bad 11 months after they bought it. I kindly called and got everything situated. I packed it up, sent it off and everything was perfect. I receive notice that it will be 6-8 weeks. Take in mind, my father travels the country working and my mother stays home alone sometimes. This became a large inconvenience to our family. He went four and a half months without his phone. Not the 6-8 weeks. We called and called again. Finally dad got pretty pissed off and raised some hell. They placed us on the urgent rush list. My dad's phone comes back and it's all good!
My mom's phone goes bad 3 weeks out of their one year purchase warranty. I call and raise suspicion to the fact that both phones took a crap right within a year. The "Best Phone of the Year" right? I call and complain saying it's out of warranty and I want it fixed. Told them it was the same issue as my dad, the motherboard went bad. The man kindly says they have a 15 month warranty for that issue. I get the label created and ready to ship. Takes me a couple days to get it over, but that's because nowhere to drop for FedEx around. I drop it, and receive notice that the label wasn't "Clear enough" therefore making my product become out of warranty by a month.
Now I called to find my situation, and the guy tells me they can't take it and won't send me a label. It's out of warranty and I have to take it to a special place to get fixed. We paid 1300 for two phones that are junk!! Now one is worthless because they will not accept it for repair after I opened the case two months ago!! It didn't start to work again, and his excuse was "well if the product isn't in our facility when the warranty is in effect it's no good".
I asked today to speak with a higher positioned person and am waiting to do so right now. My mom had to go buy a new phone to hold her over, but needs this one fixed. I am practically blown away at this point. I have new 2015 LG washer and dryer, a Lg TV we bought this year, our phones, my parents appliances and TV are LG and the list goes on, but how do they just neglect a customer that spends THOUSANDS!! I know that from this point on, I will be spreading the word that LG is a untrustworthy company with cheap products. I will never buy from LG again and I also advise other people to do the same.

So they replace the sim card twice and still wouldn't work. They told me that I would have to contact LG to see what I should do. At that time I still owed $250. Well Anna (LG customer service) stated that I was still in the manufacturer warranty. She stated to me if the new sim card doesn't work to call them back and they would have me send the phone to them to get fix.
Well when the second sim card didn't work, I called back LG and spoke to this guy who was rude. He then told me that my phone wasn't under the manufacturer warranty. He stated to me that the manufacturer warranty didn't start when I purchased but when the phone was made. WHAT!!! So if the phone sat on an AT&T shelf for months. The consumer is out of luck. LG rep stated that I can mail the phone back and it would cost me to fix it. I couldn't believe it. I still owed $250 on this phone. I was not going to put any more money into it. I was so upset. I called AT&T and told the At&t rep what happen. I told him that I needed a phone and that I will go back to their store and purchased the ZTE phone for $39.00.
Well the AT&T rep put me on hold and came back and told me because I was a customer of AT&T for many years that they would sent me the ZTE phone for free. Which I was grateful for because I needed a phone. I still have to pay back the $250 balance for the LG3 phone that doesn't work. It just makes me sick that LG can do this to customer. I will never purchase 100's of dollars for a phone again. This ZTE phone does everything my LG3 phone did for what I need it to do and the cost is only less than $40. So if It dies then who cares, I would just purchase another one for $40. It's so wrong that consumers are being ripped off. Please if anyone files an action suit please contact me. **. I would be glad to be a part of it. I'm sick as a consumer for being ripped off.

I tried to get Verizon to give me a different brand and model of Android phone, but they said at this point they could not, but why don't I pay off the 500 balance still remaining and get a different phone. My phone was working totally fine until one day it suddenly got stuck on a reloop boot, where the phone continuously restarts until it finally stopped working completely. I sent my phone to LG, who had assured me it would be fixed, to get it back three weeks later and find out that it is being refused repair due to 'evidence of liquid residue found'. Regardless of this, the problem and reason why the phone stopped working had completely nothing to do with this, and it is a widespread problem throughout LG G4 phones and highly publicized over the internet.
Basically, I understand that although accidental damage may not be covered under warranty, but the liquid residue found has nothing to do with the problem - it couldn't be more irrelevant and it seems totally unfair that they refused to fix/replace this phone for such a widespread problem. LG have lost a customer for life, and I will discourage friends from buying from their brand in future due to such an awful experience.

I'm giving the phone a 1 star because I can't go any lower. I bought the phone at the Sprint store. I hadn't bought a phone for five years, because I loved the Samsung phone I had. But it stopped working the day before I took a vacation overseas. I ran into the Sprint store because I needed help. The phones looked totally different than they had five years before.
The salesman pushed the LG4, and I thought it looked and sounded great. I was to get the phone for free with a two year contract, or pay $600 if that wasn't a deal that was offered. I bought the phone, and left for Bali. The phone didn't work properly there, except for the camera, which worked wonderfully. I thought that it was just because I was overseas. When I returned to the States, the problem continued. I took it to the Sprint store, and was told that I needed a new battery... Long story short, I bought multiple batteries and different kinds of chargers until I demanded to use my insurance to get a new phone, since my phone just wouldn't turn back on.
That's when I was told that insurance wasn't appropriate for a defective phone. It would have to be repaired by LG, and it would take a long time. There would be no break on the payments for the phone, no break by Sprint for the bill during that time, and no loaner phone. So I needed to be sure to pay the bills while I waited for a month or more (which I did - I'm still waiting) to get my phone repaired and back. He also cheerfully told me that some people had to return their phone more than once.
I waited for over a month, then contacted the Oregon Attorney General's office. I have heard back from Sprint, and I got an email from LG saying that my phone is in the mail. I would prefer a new, high quality phone from a less sleazy corporation, and I would like for LG to refund my money that I've paid, and waive the rest since they were never able to keep up their end of the bargain.

So I phoned Boost Mobile as I have insurance with them. The rep I spoke to was speaking so fast I had to stop her twice. She did not want to replace my phone (so why would I have paid insurance?), told me to get in touch with LG.
I asked to speak to her supervisor as I brought the phone from Boost Mobile shop with insurance. This she did not want to do at all. She kept cutting me off, would not give me her name. Yesterday afternoon my LG G4 decided to stop working. Locks up at the LG logo and then goes black. I went into the local Sprint store who acknowledged that the LGs were having this problem and customers were coming in constantly with the same problem within past 3 months. That being said, Sprint will only upgrade my phone for $200. When I contacted LG last night, they reluctantly admitted that their phones were having this problem, but indicated I need to send my phone to them so they can determine if I have damaged the phone. They sent me a ground FedEx shipping label. By the way, they only give you a label for ground shipping. They indicated to me that this will take up to two weeks.
I have a business that runs to my phone. Not to mention I do not work in an office, but from my car and off-site with clients. I use my phone to run my business during the day. I am beside myself that LG thinks that not immediately replacing their defective equipment is acceptable. Even Asurion sends phones to their consumers immediately and then have you send them the broken phone.
I am disgusted that yet another company does not care about their consumers nor the product they put out on the market. IF THEY CARED, THEY WOULD RECTIFY THE PROBLEM TO KEEP THEIR CUSTOMERS SATISFIED. I will take their phone until I can get my free upgrade. I will never buy another LG product again. I am tired of dealing with a Corporate America who could care less about their customer's satisfaction. They should be recalling this phone to avoid more customer aggravation, but instead they're playing innocent!!

Most of the products in the US are manufactured in places like China and India, but all companies I've ever dealt with had always honored their warranty. I had submitted a complaint to the BBB hoping for a resolution, but LG obviously doesn't show even respect for the BBB and have lied in their response saying that I wasn't the original purchaser of the device even though I had provided my Amazon receipt.
LG even made a statement earlier this year that they acknowledge that there is a hardware defect on this phone and that they will repair the affected devices. I guess that was lie too. I got my LG g4 7-06-2016. It's always gotten very hot and battery drained within 4 hours from a full charge (now I know why they gave a free extra battery when I got it). Anyway it just died a couple weeks out of warranty - bootloop issue. I called the repair center and they told me my warranty was still valid. I think they extended the warranty for any LG g4 that was made before 9-2016 because of the infamous bootloop issue that happened to me just out of warranty. I just sent it in and I'm hoping they fix it. I'm getting discouraged about their repair service reading all the reviews! I own several LG items and will continue to purchase them if this issued is resolved. I just can't believe there wasn't some type of recall - very unfair and not good for business.
I will never buy another LG item if they don't fix my phone. $600 is a lot for a phone and I feel like I should have went with Samsung. However I want LG because my galaxy phone had to be sent in twice within a month seems like they would do something about this! We pay lots of money make them rich and they don't stand behind their products. I recommend anyone buying any phone. Make sure you get insurance since warranties don't seem to exist anyway!!!

After having this phone for 30 days, as soon as I leave the house it started overheating and draining the battery. I sent it back to LG for repair. They replaced the main circuit board and it's still overheating. The phone is defective and I want a refund (although from the number of complaints filed, I can see that's not going to happen).

I was so excited when I first got my G4, it was my first LG phone and I knew I was paying a pretty penny monthly for it through Verizon. Fast forward almost a year, not even sure when exactly I got it but now it won't turn on and I woke up to it not turning on, therefore missing my alarm clock and appointments. I had JUST paid this phone off completely through Verizon, so I spent about $600 for this phone in total. I just got off the phone with LG and their solution is to send me an e-mail with a link to the repair request page on their website, then I wait 24 hours then I send it to them for them to look at and see if it is still under warranty to repair. Since I paid off my cell and started going month to month with Verizon about two months ago I had stopped my phone insurance. Therefore, I am left with a $600 piece of crap, no cell phone to use, and LG does not care that this is a known issue. I will NEVER buy an LG again!!

Unfortunately they replaced it with the lg g flex2 which overheated within 2 weeks. My cell carrier sent me a new one. Same problem so they sent me a 3rd. It started overheating within 2 months. I called lg several times. I got hung up on and they played dumb like this isn't a known issue which it is. Just check the reviews on the phone. I emailed them 4 times. They ignored me. They shouldn't be able to sell these products in the USA. They are built like crap and they don't want to deal with any customer concerns. I will never buy lg product again. Had the bootloop issue H/W: 1.0, 507, manufactured 08/2015 and purchased in October 2015. LG decided to not do a recall on their G4 and let consumers lose all their data as the phones are ticking time bombs ready to die. Customer service was unhelpful and rude at times. I shipped the phone in they would not expedite the service despite the whole bootloop fiasco and stated it would take 7-9 days to repair upon repair. They received the phone on 6/23 and I had to call twice before they updated the status (was stuck on received) of the item on 6/29. So much for 7-9 business days for repair. Today is 6/30 and there's still an estimated 6 days left. I'll be going into my 3rd week without a phone. LG, never again.
Updated on 11/02/2016: I wrote a 1 star review back in July regarding the bootloop issue and 4 weeks wait time to receive my phone back. This time I would give them a 0 stars if it were an option. Shortly after I received my "repaired" bootloop G4 back, the double tap to wake stopped working half the time. I dealt with it until early October. Since my warranty was ending I ended up shipping it in and used a flip phone for the time being. Again they would not expedite the process and I had to use their slow Fedex ground shipping.
I'm confident it's a digitzer issue which is causing the double tap not to work sometimes as I already did all the software troubleshooting attempts. Oct 9, 2016: shipped in and received back from LG. They replaced the motherboard for some reason. I called in said that they didn't fix the double tap to wake issue and explained in detail to the customer rep who nonchalantly didn't care about my problem. Oct 18,2016: Shipped in. I received an email about a week later notifying me that the board was swapped out and the phone was being shipped back to me. I told the customer rep and her supervisor that won't fix my problem because they did it the 2nd time and it did nothing. They said there they won't stop the Fedex shipment from their repair facility back to my house and I would just have to wait for it to arrive before shipping it to them again.
Nov 1, 2016: Shipped it to them again and explained again what has happened so far. Hopefully this terrible company does something about the terrible phone they released to us consumers. I've been left without a smartphone for a total of 2 months now. TL;DR Shipped in phone 4xs for repair and nothing has been done. Customer service is fake and doesn't care about your issues at all.

I will never buy another product with this company. The customer service is awful. I have been hung up on, lied to, transferred to random carriers, and today they pretended to not be able to hear me when there is nothing wrong with my mom's phone. My phone overheated to the point that it overheated and burnt the charging cable, the charging port and put a hairline crack in the screen. I sent my phone it two weeks ago. I have been told they lost it. Then they found it and it will take 7-9 business days (apparently the first 5 business days they had it do not count) just to review it. Now they lost it again. Last thing they said to be was even if it takes 6 months to find it, my only option is to wait. How can a company treat their customers this way?

As many people have come to voice their frustrations. I too was victim of the LG G4 BOOTLOOP problem that this phone has been experiencing. What is very maddening however, is that LG was made aware of the issue yet they chose to not do a voluntary recall of the phones instead allowing them to pretty much go dead on the customers. And yes customer service sucks because you get people in the Philippines who really have no idea how to handle complaints and their accent gets in the way. Because of LG's lack of accountability, I lost very dear photos and there was no way to go back and update my phone because it would not go past the LG home screen. I did everything to take care of this phone, bought an expensive case to prevent it from falling and cracking and turns out that LG would be the one to cause the internal damage.
Like everyone else, it's very infuriating to see that a company as big as LG not take any action to rectify this situation knowing pretty darn well, the mobile phones were having this issue. By writing this review, I want to inform other prospective buyers that if they do decide to purchase an LG phone, they are doing so at their own risk and it does have the potential to die on you by no fault of yours. And good luck trying to get assistance because you will be talking to people from the Philippines who have no idea how to handle scenarios such as these.

My LG G4 was bought in Nov 2015, this phone has overheating battery issue. It runs out of battery within 3, 4 hours after a full charge. But everything else works perfectly without any issue. So I requested a repair on Jun 09, 2016 to fix the overheating issue. The repair number is **. I got the repair shipping number then I did a system reset for the phone. My Google account login history showed that the last Login for the LG G4 was 5:04pm, Jun 09 2016. Then I wrapped the phone in plastic put in a solid box. Dropped the package to Fedex around 6pm, Jun 09, 2016. I received my phone back on Jun 17, but I found that my phone is totally dead, I cannot even power on the phone. And the repair document stated that the phone is water damaged. But actually this is not the truth, I have been using this phone perfectly except for the battery life. And it never dropped into water.
I was just wanna LG help fix the battery overheating issue. But right now, my phone is totally dead. The Google login account history proves that my phone was good and usable at 5:04pm, Jun 09, 2016. The brightness of the screen is unable to go above 50%. Raising the brightness slider up to 50% raises the real brightness of the screen normally, but past 50% there is no perceptible effect. This is not just me not "seeing" the change when it might still be there. It used to be that the slider was calibrated in such a way that the last 50% had a way bigger effect than the first 50%, so at 50% it's more like the brightness output is 30% (which makes my current problem extra annoying). The brightness is supposed to really take off past 50% and now it refuses to.
I have sent my phone to LG twice per customer service for repairs. 2 times it came back, not fixed, exactly the same as I sent it. Phone was great when new. Seemed to get too hot when I started using phone as a GPS with Google Maps for navigation; shortly after that phone started having problems. LG customer service is worthless, I was explaining this to people in a T-mobile retail store. I asked T-mobile and customers in store for phones that do not have problems within 1st year as 2 of my 3 LG phones did after several months. They recommended Apple and Samsung. LG phones are very nice when they work, which is not very long. LG customer service is next to worthless, they cannot even solve simple problems. I got myself a phone and a tablet for free when I signed up with a local telco. The phone doesn't have spectacular specs compared to the other ones available in the market, but the tablet is superb, with built in speakers, expandable storage, and sim card capacity, on top of basic tablet features. The gadgets also came with one-year warranty from the telco. Both gadgets were fine and were running smoothly when all of a sudden, 13 months after I got them, the phone and tablet refused to turn on. Happened few days apart.
Although both were extra gadgets, there are unsaved classified files, apps and contacts that I cannot retrieve anymore. Because the warranty for both gadgets already expired, I no longer brought them to the store. Another reason why I havent brought them anywhere is because of the sensitivity of the files saved. There was no backup for all the files. It is just so frustrating that the 24-month contract ended already after it reached midway. Not planning to buy any mobile gadgets from LG anytime soon.

I bought the LG G4 for my brother. I got him the leather version because it matches the shoes he wears for work. He loves that you can pair this to our LG TV and use it as a remote control (the TV's remote control is crap). It has an RF feature, that gives him access to the radio when commuting. The camera is awesome. It has an aperture of f/1.8 which is perfect for low light photography. It can shoot raw or in jpeg format. The camera can be manually adjusted (white balance, manual focus, ISO and shutter speed). It also has optical image stabilization for video mode. I just wish I got the dual SIM instead of the single SIM. We also like the removable battery feature that you can charge in a separate dock, so if you have an extra batt, you can pop off the empty one and mount it on the dock and put in your extra batt. It has good earphones with decent sound quality, not too much bass (my brother is not a bass person, so this is great).
My problems about this are it only has 3gb RAM and the Android Lollipop version of the phone is not yet available in the Philippines and when we first got the phone, it has a lot of pre installed apps that we have no use for at all. It's great that it has the wireless charging feature and the LG quick circle feature, but the downside is you have to buy a special housing to enjoy these features.

Getting multiple notifications for a single event - sometimes get notified of text messages that I've read HOURS before. Not sending my text messages when I press "send". Visual Voicemail's drop-down notification will only show the PHONE NUMBER of the person who left the voicemail regardless of the fact that they are saved in my contacts; their contact name, however, will show in the actual app.
Outgoing SMS messages will frequently send duplicates to the receiver - this is usually accompanied by a red triangle with a button labeled "Retry" in the original message. Without doing anything else it will send multiple times. Frequently don't get incoming SMS messages. Constantly crashing apps. Top it all off, called LG Support yesterday and spoke with the most idiotic call center representative ever who was able to provide NO resolution and wasn't listening to what I was telling her about my phone. I bought an LG-4 cell phone at a Sprint Store in Denver in late August. The phone had recurring problems including shutting down with no forewarning, sometimes when I was on calls. Finally, in early January, while on an extended business trip, the phone suddenly died altogether and upon diagnoses was determined to be irreparable. Insofar I was in the middle of an extended business trip, it was a nightmare arranging for a replacement. I (and my girlfriend) were given five different stories about getting a replacement from Sprint representatives in Phoenix, in the Los Angeles metro area, and in Denver.
Finally, I was able to speak to someone in Denver at a full-service Sprint store (after contacting the store where I bought the phone, and speaking to an individual who was incredibly rude) who had some knowledge about the replacement process and was courteous to boot. She went into the records of my "experience" and immediately arranged for a replacement phone to be shipped to my home (and within a 24-hour window I could be back in Denver). The replacement phone was beset with problems and was essentially non-functional in all respects.
I took it to the same full-service Sprint store (which ordered the replacement) and though I requested a diagnostic I was told that the entire issue stemmed from the talkback feature, which I disabled on site. Though I asked that it be further checked, I was told (after a cursory exam) that the phone should now work well. It did not. In fact, things got worse as soon as I began traveling for work again.
The phone froze -- losing all cell and text service for hours at a time (which I discovered only when missing business calls to my phone). The speaker always went on when I was on a call, though the volume often decreased so that I could not hear with the speaker on or off. If I was moving at all while using the phone the screen went blank and I could not hear people I was talking with, nor they me. Hence, it was impossible to use a cell phone while walking or moving at all. Though I set and reset volume and brightness settings, nothing held firm.
I went to a full-service Sprint store in NYC last Friday. After describing the problems, a Sprint technician removed the battery, looked at manufacturing date and other information, and then pulled up a notification from the web indicating that the replacement phone I had been shipped was known to have a manufacturer's defect and should never have been sent to me. I was informed that another replacement phone could be ordered for delivery upon my return to Denver to the Sprint full-service store. I inquired today about that and was told that I would have to return to the store and have it diagnosed on site before a replacement could be order - the very reason I had gone to the same store two weeks previous.
Upon diagnosis, it was determined that the phone was indeed defective and would have to be replaced. However, because LG-4's are on back order, it may be 7 to 10 business days before a replacement can be provided. On top of which I was told that the phone may well continue to malfunction. So I've gone the better part of a month without a reliably working phone. Sprint will take no responsibility for the problems, claiming that there has been no interruption of service, hence I am not entitled to any financial recompense, even though it was acknowledged if the phone won't work, then one can't access service. I was also told when I bought the phone that because it was on a lease I could trade it in for another type of phone at any time. I asked for repeated assurances that this was true. It turns out it is not.
I'm stuck for another five to six months with a phone that may or may not work (unless the third time is a charm) and no one will take any responsibility for this situation. I will never buy any LG products again and will discontinue Sprint service as soon as I can, notwithstanding that I have been a Sprint customer for more than 15 years. I have provided the replacement e-ticket # below and attached the original receipt for the phone as purchased.

Recently, we sent my LG G4 which I purchased on November 18 via Wind Mobile to their official repair center in Richmond Hill when they returned us a call with a tremendous and huge amount for a simple repair. More than 600 Canadian dollar. Yes! I did not miss type it.
The incident: I put the phone in my pants always and I work as a general helper where I wash many dishes every day. One day, the phone turned off suddenly and I found the case was kind of wet because the waters might pass through the pants while I was working. Then I stopped to use and tend to find solution online.
After we called their customer service line, stated the fact or the possible problem and they recommend us to send to their official repair to check it. We sent the phone last Friday and they called us on Tuesday after we tracked the shipment arrived this Friday, then they told us the story of 600, bla.. bla.. If we are not going to fix it, they will charge us 20 for shipping plus unknown analysis fee.
It was shock for me to hear this huge amount. It almost a new device price. I was very disappoint it. I also tried to research online about the same issues and realized that many consumers encountered the similar problem about get wet. Many of them were dropped into pool or sink and others just some water drops. Theirs looked more serious than mine, it was just some waters passed through the working pants. I think with this unforgettable experience, I won't buy any device from LG and will post my experience to my social networks. This is very ridiculous repair fee which is unacceptable for me.
Updated on 02/04/2016: Throughout our experience with your official service centre Futuretel is unbelieve and insane: First at all, they quoted us a higher repair price of 625 plus 25 of diagnosis fee. Then we asked for return us the phone without any repair and paid 25 diagnosis fee as per requested, they sent us the wrong one which is totally different model LG G3 instead of LG G4 today. We called them but no one answer the phone. This creates more dissatisfaction and disappointment about your company's service and products among us. I'm totally unhappy with this incident and the customer experience that I encountered. I urge an explanation and solution. I am looking forward to hear from LG electronics Canada. I will never buy another LG product again, and I will be sharing this post with everyone I can reach on social media and by private email/chat. I purchased an LG G4, actually preordered it because I had absolutely loved my previous LG Optimus G. We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator about two years ago. It was a company that I would lean toward while making purchases. I believed in the company, their products, and assumed they would stand behind their products and make sure loyal customers were well taken care of. I was wrong. After owning this phone just over three months it began to randomly overheat and shut down. I would have to remove the battery and power back up. This problem became progressively worse until a couple of weeks ago when it started doing it all the time. Now it is unusable.
Upon further research I discovered that this was a manufacturer's defect and was happening to many others. Due to a recent cancer diagnoses, and being foster/adoptive parents with multiple children, most with special needs, communication between myself and my other half is vital. I took it to my carrier who told me I had to go through LG. LG told me that the best they could do was approx two weeks. They send a prepaid shipping label, we send it to them, they get it back to us 7-10 days after they receive it. Really? YOU sell me an expensive defective product, and, by no fault of mine, I have to be out a phone for two weeks?
So, you, the multimillion dollar corporation, sell me, the struggling foster/adoptive parent with cancer, a defective phone and my family and I have to suffer and struggle without a phone which is so vital to our lives? Wow, most companies I've dealt with who have realized they made a mistake, which caused a valued customer an inconvenience, are willing to expedite a new product to that customer to make things right by them. That's customer service. So again, I will not purchase another LG phone, appliance, TV or other. Too many other choices to buy from a company who treats people like this one.

I purchased an LG G3 about 7 or 8 months ago. After 1 day of having it the battery was slowly charging. The company told me it could be just the USB that I've been using and to purchase a new one. Now here it is, new year's eve and my phone will not stay charged AT ALL. It reaches 1% and cuts off until the next day I woke up and my phone only charged to 18%. All I did was ask for a replacement battery and they asking me to ship my phone in... I should get my battery replaced WITHOUT the hassle.

I received my LG 4 Lite smartphone as a Verizon upgrade with 2-year contract in Feb. 2014. The phone fell from the kitchen table onto a wood floor and the glass shattered. I am now stuck with a phone with a broken front and an unresponsive touchscreen. I can probably have the screen repaired for $150 while not being sure if the computer was damaged. I realize these smartphones are delicate, but this is ridiculous. The phone was in a case and had a screen protector over the glass. I will never purchase another LG smartphone nor would I recommend it to others. Poor materials and workmanship. I tried to contact LG corporate, but neither their website nor customer service could give it to me.

The only thing is that if they leave a voicemail it will show up. And when I'm doing something on my phone it will freeze up. But has anyone else been having this problem? Or could help me fix it. I had planned to purchase an iPhone but was talked out of it by a salesman at Verizon wireless. I was told that the LG 4 phone was much better. Without doing any research and trusting the LG name, I purchased the phone with my new cell phone contract. Since Aug 2015, time of purchase, I have had problems with the phone. The phone became extremely warm and battery life was less than 4 hrs with only email and a couple of apps in use. Verizon wireless replaced the phone with a new LG 4. The same problem occurred. I notified LG and sent the phone to their repair facility. After having a loop repaired, the phone was returned. The same problems are there - overheating and less than 4 hour battery life.
I contacted Verizon wireless to obtain a new phone, iPhone 6. They are willing to take the LG phone in trade for $151.00. From Aug to Dec the phone only depreciated $449.00. I need a functioning cell, so will have to take a huge loss. My advice is DON'T buy an LG 4. I have had cell phones dating to those carried in a case and weighing over 2 lbs. In my opinion this is the worst cell phone I have ever owned. LG should be ashamed of marketing such an inferior product.

I took out a LG G4 on contract with Vodacom about 4months ago. I went to the shop in Uitenhage where I took out the contract and the consultant said it's better if I go to a Vodacom repair shop in Greenacres Port Elizabeth. My complaint is that my handset warns me it's hot and it's gonna switch off and it does. After a few days it just switch off during a call with my clients.
I took the phone to Greenacres shop 2times with the same complaint. They just send it to their repair shop in Johannesburg. I said I don't want the phone anymore and they said they gonna do an escalation to get permission and credit my phone to choose another phone but they just ignored it. The 2nd time they send it back they say it's the battery and they gave new battery so I went to go fetch my phone once again.
Got home and the next day the phone just did the same thing, getting hot and switch off. They send me SMS saying they send my phone once again for repairs. I said I don't want the phone or else I'm gonna cancel my contract. I'm so tired with this complaint. Every time I must travel far to PE. When I had the phone and not for long can't use it properly, but end of the month they are fast to subtract their money from my bank account but I can't get the service I'm suppose to get.

The G4 heats up and the battery runs out quickly. I have met other satisfied G4 owners, so perhaps mine is a lemon, although it sounds like there are quite a few lemons out there. When you call LG's US customer service you immediately end up in a call center, likely in the Philippines. The reps are not equipped to assist customers, just to issue return labels. Might as well be no human customer service at all. They ask you to send it to a repair center in Texas.
It took 3 and a half weeks for me to get the phone back. They returned it claiming they replaced a power management chip and the battery. They ignored the issue I had with the back cover and returned the defective cover. The phone is still heating up and running through 35% of its battery in less than 1 hour. I asked for a new phone, but they denied my request. Now they want me to send it back to Texas again. I will give this one more try and if this doesn't work out, I definitely won't be buying anything LG again.

Got the tablet as a promotion when I got my LG G4 phone. Only have had it for a few months (mid-July '15) when I plugged it in before going to bed to charge the battery. The tablet was in a hard case and had a screen protector on it. It laid on a padded surface as I slept with it on the nightstand next to me all night. When I got up the next morning, I picked it up and pushed the power button to turn it on but the screen was not cracked physically, if you know what I mean, but was shattered nonetheless. By physically I mean there were no pieces of glass or actual cracks only the screen no longer was able to be used. Hard to explain.
So naturally, I called and talked to customer service and they said I could send it in and they would look at it but if it was physical damage that it would not be under warranty. I explained that unlike most folks, if I had sat or stepped on it or dropped it that I would admit it and pay the price. But that it was sitting over night on the charger and no one else was in my room to "physically" damage it. To me, physical damage is where I dropped it or sat on it or I did something that would do that personally, not that I set it down and when I next picked it up it was damaged. So for me, it is not physical damage. So I sent it in.
In the meantime and just prior to sending it to the repair center, precautionary steps were taken. I called a repair shop near me to find out what it would cost to repair if the LG people wouldn't. I was told that a common thing that makes a screen crack the way it did without a physical situation was that the battery will overheat, expand and cause the screen to crack from the inside. But the only way to know would be to open the back and examine the battery. So, when I sent the tablet, I sent a note with it saying what I had found out. Three days after they got it, I get an email saying it's physical damage and the price to fix it.
I called and told the customer service people that it was not physical damage and that they would see that IF they had opened the back. I mean, come on, if it is physical damage then a ghost came into my room and dropped it then picked it up and put it in the exact spot I left it in. There is no way this was my fault. So they escalated the ticket to someone who called and I told her the same thing. Keep in mind, they still have my tablet. She says she is sending it to the liability department. He calls me and asks me to send them my charger cable and adapter I was using and he is going to get the tablet from the repair facility and HIS techs are going to look at it. 3 weeks later, it is sent back to me. Nothing wrong with the cable and adapter but physical damage to the tablet and no other information, no phone call, not a single communication other than they are sending it back after now it being 2 days shy of a month.
So I call and call trying to get transferred to the liability dept. but no dice. I have to go through the whole shebang again. So now, I wait for the customer service person who is an underpaid outsourced barely speaking enough English to get by to send the ticket to a higher department so that they can call me and tell me they are sending it to liability and another week will go by. In the meantime I am paying a monthly charge with my phone carrier for a tablet I cannot use. But that is another fight. I so badly wish that all of us who have these problems could get together and file a class action lawsuit against LG and put them out of business. Then afterward ask them if "life's good" anymore.

I thought HTC was the worst phone company but LG is making HTC look like an apple next to an eggplant.
How do I start lawsuit for this? My phone is slowly erasing my information. The lollipop update took so many things away. This was the best phone I've ever had and it became 1 of the worst in less than a month after the forced update. I will not stand for this crap. Oh believe me somebody gonna pay. Or I'm going into my t-mobile store with a humongous cup of water, and I'm beyond clumsy.
Not to mention if this don't make me feel better I'll keep being ultra clumsy at every t-mobile store I see. After I finally got through and got my repair my cell phone came back with a crack in it caused by LG repair man. This was obvious because the crack was in the same spot underneath the screen where the part was replaced by LG.
After weeks of trying to get through to somebody and get somewhere I found out nobody even filed a claim for me. Then I had to call many more times to get somewhere. When I was lucky enough to be able to use a headset or other listening device before the voice command interruptions, the audio volume was very inconsistent and would be very low and then very loud. The unlock/swipe function is inconsistent and sometimes takes several attempts. There is lots more, but the lack of the basic functionality to talk or listen with a headset is sending me out to the store to buy a new phone.

I'm not gonna spend $350 & go swimming. They STOLE my money...
They kept 16 days, never followed up at least 10 emails, chats, & tons of tech sport calls. Plus they added 2 giant scratches to a 19 day old watch! I even shot a video of the screen gap & the pristine condition in FedEx before I mailed it. THEY SCREWED ME COMPLETELY. I was in Wal-Mart when it died, water damage my rear end. I will never ever buy an LG Product. This company is a thief. We had issues with the LG G3 in less than a month of purchase and so we sent it in for check up under warranty. After sending it in we received an email saying phone was damaged so I called customer service to see what they are talking about and I was told the phone is cracked and they have pictures of the phone, so I made it clear that when we sent the phone there were no damages other than overheating issue.
Anyhow I was told to hear from a supervisor about the case and I called them at least 8 times and no supervisor was available at any of this time. I was told supervisor will call me and instead I received a broken phone back. I called again after receiving a broken phone and I was thrashed by the Supervisor after holding for an hour, to get to a supervisor and he simply told me there is nothing that can be done. If I can sue LG for treating me this way I would surly do. Now I am out of all the money I paid to get the phone and now I have to get another working phone. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. That goes for both phones. We couldn't return it back to the AT&T store after 12 days so we sent them to LG to be repaired. They sent them back saying no defect. Also, I was advised to purchase screen protectors for the phone and we did. However, after trying the phones, we still had problems successfully swiping to get the call. We swipe to get to the home page with no problem.
After a week or so we had to send the phones back for the same issue. However, upon advice from them, we purchased screen protectors. However, the screen protectors were pasted on so pasted a note on each phone saying the screen protectors were attached on the phone. They sent another phone back without the screen protector. I'm still waiting for the other phone, however, they told me that they just threw all accessories away. Now, we're out of $70 for the 2 screen protectors and we'll probably be stuck with phones without being able to connect incoming from 2 phones costing us Approx $700 total. What a waste. The manager who I talked told me that they just threw away all accessories.

I got the information on where to send the phones and received the shipping labels via email. My girlfriend, ** (owner of the second phone) printed out the shipping labels and sent our 2 complete phones to Texas. We were told that we would have our phones back in 5-10 business days. After not hearing from them after 3 weeks, ** contacted them. She was advised the phones would be sent back after being replaced or repaired. I immediately called LG to find out why they only sent part of the phone. I was told that they do not send the back cover and battery back because they are accessories and they do not return accessories. I questioned why they would send back one phone complete and the other not. They did not really have an answer. I could hear the phone ring or vibrate, but I could not get the phone to turn on until I removed the battery and held the power button down for about 30 seconds. My Nexus 5 stopped working 14 months after I bought it - two months after the warranty ended. It had been a good phone. But it suddenly ceased to function, completely out of the blue. So I called up LG's customer service number (LG is the manufacturer of the Nexus 5) and the young man emailed me a shipping label and said to send it in and they'll fix it. I thought, Great! And sent it in the very next day.
A week went by, and I received an email Tuesday evening, Feb. 10, 2015, that my phone had been diagnosed and needed repairs, but that it was out of warranty. The cost for the repairs was going to be $153. Alright, I thought. Not too bad. Better than buying a new one. The email very clearly said, in these exact words: "If we do not receive a response within 5 business days, we will return your unit without any repairs having been made." So I decided I would look around and price some other phones to see if it might be worth it to invest in a new one, or just pay the $153 for the repairs.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday pass. That's three business days, for those counting. Monday morning arrives (which was President's Day - NOT a business day) and I feel confident that I'll go ahead and pay for the repairs. I call up LG and the young man tells me my phone has already been sent back to me. That can't be right, I thought, and asked to speak to a supervisor. He tells me there is no manager and to call back in an hour. I think to myself, there is no way this corporation doesn't have some kind of supervisor on duty in the morning hours. So I call back and talk to a young woman. She tells me the same thing the young man told me, and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, the line cuts out. So I search LG's website for some way to contact someone that actually cares about its customers. I find a customer care email and relate the situation.
Next morning - Tuesday morning (we're now on business day four). No reply from customer care. So going back to LG's website, I find a customer service Live Chat. An individual named Rey seems extremely willing to help me out with my problem. He (like the other two the day before) still tries to tell me through some kind of twisted logic that the five days had indeed passed, but that he was able to stop my package from shipping! (Meaning it hadn't shipped the day before, like the two call center agents had told me.)
Overjoyed, I thanked him and said, "Yes, please stop the shipping". He told me he did it. The shipping was stopped. He then said I'd get an email in the next few hours with a new RA# (essentially a new case number, to keep track of the repair process), and to call at that point and make the payment for repairs. I thanked Rey triumphantly and gave him glowing reviews in the subsequent survey.
Several hours later - at 5:30 p.m. to be exact - I got an email. But it wasn't from LG with a new RA#. It was from FedEx, telling me that a package addressed to me had been picked up for delivery from LG in Fort Worth, Texas, with estimated date of delivery as Friday, Feb. 20. Shocked and confused, I call up LG customer service again. A young woman essentially tells me the same thing the others said, that my time had run out (when it hadn't) and that my phone had been shipped and would arrive at my residence (unrepaired) on Friday. So that was that. My phone was coming back to me without getting fixed.
Over the course of these exchanges, I spoke with three people from LG customer service before the phone actually shipped back to me. The first two said it had already shipped, probably a good 30 hours before it actually had been shipped. The third told me he stopped the shipment. All three were incorrect. The worst part in all of this is that it was impossible to talk to anyone that can actually help you at LG. None of the individuals I spoke to had English as their first language. None of them would let me speak to a supervisor. When I emailed the customer care line, I was ignored. There was no way for me to reach anyone that actually knew what was going on with my phone - or more importantly, anyone that actually cared.
The last young woman with which I spoke said the only thing she could do for me was email me another shipping label for me to use to send my phone back once I received it. At that point, since the phone had already been shipped, it really was all she could do. But the prospect of starting that nightmare sequence over again literally made my stomach churn. I told her no thanks, and finished the call. That will be the last time I spend another cent on an LG product - cell phone or otherwise. I would warn all of those within the sound of my voice that very, very poor service awaits them if they choose to do business with this careless company.

I had to wait till the other person’s phone went into accepting a Phone Message and would end the call 2 or 3 minutes later when their phone stopped receiving my phone call. I could not do anything with my phone, the screen went black soon as the call was sent. The back buttons wouldn't do nothing. No Volume up or down. No On or Off. When the call was ended, my phone would shut down. Then at that point, I could turn my phone on. Soon as I make a Phone call, the screen goes black, stays Black all the time even when shining a bright light at the screen.
To turn on my Phone. At first to turn on the phone you would tap twice on the screen and it would come to life and you touch again and slide across the screen then you would get to the home screen. I changed my phone to turn on or off by the back buttons. It worked great at first and then when unplugged I turned on the phone and it would turn on and off again. 6 to Ten times of turning the phone on and sliding on the screen, it might turn on. If not turning on, then I would have to plug the phone in and then everything worked fine. When receiving a incoming call when unplugged the screen goes black, I had to push the back button and it would accept the call and turns on then after 10 seconds goes black till the call is ended. Three months later, now I'm having some trouble turning on the phone. Unplugging and replugging the phone, then it works.

I had purchased from WalMart, the LG-P769. I love LG completely so don't get me wrong and that's what hurts, when you trust a great company for so long, then get ripped off by defects with no options to fix or replace. My phone just locks me out when it wants to, have to go into the store to unlock it, but they can't and said "Damaged Sim Card", forced me to buy another one, almost $30.00. Then a few weeks later, locked out again for no reason at all. I go back to Walmart, but this time it's the phone that's defective. No I cannot lock it, even if I wanted to because it's a permanent lockout, wow, how neat!! So they had to do a "Hard Reset", lost all of my phone numbers, backup and everything to add!!
They told me to make sure that I never lock my phone, so now I can't use VPN or any of the other features that mandatorily require a password or my phone has to be reset again, losing everything. What a ripoff, I take such excellent care of my things, can't afford not to you know, who can nowadays?!! So then, this is what I get in return for my faithful support and trust, for a once great company. If you own one of these, good luck, because it’s the luck of the draw as they say...... Happy wireless telecommunications to you!!!!!!

I purchased a brand new cell phone, the G3 Model from a department store in Athens. I unpacked the cell phone, and the very first thing I did was to insert the sim card in the phone. I used an adapter since all my previous Cell phones were Apple Iphones and they used the nano sim type. The adapter I used was purchased from the store I purchased the cell phone. The adapter was from nano sim card to micro sim card. I inserted the card into the phone but it didn't recognize the sim card. I tried it once more, but with no result.
I called the technical support in Athens Greece, and they informed me that I needed to bring the device to the service center. The service center manager of the exclusive service provider "company name is Procordia", informed me that one from the sim card socket pins was broken and that is the reason for the malfunction. They had to replace it in order to work. Actually they informed me that it was my fault because I used an adapter and not a micro sim card. They charged me 32 euros, when the device I had just bought cost 550 euros.
I was surprisingly informed by the service manager that according to the LG policy that for such repairs the customer is burdened with the cost. Followingly, I contacted the technical supervisor of LG in Athens and he informed me that it wasn't the company's fault that a pin was broken. I really do not know if the phone was defect. It was a brand new phone out of the box. Moreover if we suppose that it was the adapter's problem, in the phone manual it is not stated that "please do not use sim adapters". In addition, even if I caused the problem, the fact that a pin broke, it means that the quality of the device is the worst of its kind. They charged me 32 euros, 2 euros for the dimm/simm pocket (the part of the phone that was broken), and 30!!! euros for the repair fee.
I am an IT professional, it's not the first time I insert a SIM card in the cell phones. I use cell phones since 1990 and never before has occurred such an issue. This company (LG) is trying to compete with other premium device producers like apple and sony. It's the first product I purchase from LG. It's the worst technical support I ever met in a brand. And it's the worst quality I ever met in cell phone producers. Please be cautious. The quality of LG cell phones is one of the worst you can get!

I wanted to surprise my stepdaughter on her birthday with brand new cell phone so I went Sprint and was recommended the LG G3. Phone worked great other than the fact that it refused to accept phone calls from within our home. I explained this to the Sprint employees and they told me it was probably just a bad phone so they switched it out for an exact replica. Upon arriving home we tried calling the device from within our home and were facing the exact same dilemma. We were probably able to get the phone to ring twice after about 30 calls from several different phones, different providers and even Sprint Tech Support.
My wife returned to Sprint and was told to return the device again and was informed that the LG G3 has a different type of antenna from the Samsung Galaxy S5 (her phone that works perfectly from within our home) and that was the reason for her LG G3 not working from within our home. I'm not frustrated about any of that. I understand these technical issues happen and it's out of our hands. I'm upset about being told I have to pay a $35.00 restocking fee and another activation fee on a phone that didn't work from the start for various reasons plus it was a phone that they strongly recommended. Very disappointed with the service I received today from Sprint but really wanted to keep my stepdaughter happy.

I bought an LG Flex phone about 4 months ago and it's a lemon. I have already returned two so this is my third replacement. I need to return this one but I don't want to download all my music, calendar and everything else. What it does: you have to tap the screen two times to turn phone on but sometimes when I do it just goes blank. The little light goes out and that's it for 5~10~15 minutes. Yesterday I called again and she, "AT&T customer service", she was rude because I wasn't nice and we went through all the same things but nothing was fixed. Since the screen was out I couldn't do anything. Finally the screen came on and she went into my phone looking for something but found nothing. She told me that if my phone worked 80 to 90% of the time I should be happy. I was so annoyed with her I told her never mind and hung up. I will call again in a few minutes. Do not buy a LG Flex phone.

I called LG a month ago to obtain a new back for the Lg UN 170 flip phone. I was told a new one would be sent free of charge in a week. As yet I have not received it. I recalled the company today. The CS rep said there was no record of my call and told me that the part was not yet available. I am now at 10 minutes waiting for a supervisor to answer the phone. Are they avoiding the issues? A brand new phone and no available parts tell me that a new phone should be given and that LG should not sell a product that cannot provide parts. Shame on LG. No more of their products in my house!

When I purchased my phone I was told that the LG battery LASTED (3 days without charging) what a lie. If you don't turn off a bunch of stuff and keep the screen practically so dark you can't see, it eats up your battery quick. Using the phone outside is a pain as you can't see the screen. My phone is user warranty and I have insurance on it. The store I purchased it at moved without warning and the store where I can go for warranty issues is not close by. The insurance is very expensive when you want a replacement phone. $199.00.

I purchased an LG L9 some months ago. It served me well only for two months after which life with this phone has been extremely unbearable. The phone heats up after few minutes of activity. It restarts itself and that leads it to a coma with the only way to bring it back to life is to take out the battery and leave it directly below an air condition for 30 minutes. After performing all this ritual to bring it back to life, it starts only for you to read an align language you can't understand. I love this phone soo much that I feel so depressed when this happens. Recently this issue has become very rampant as I have to perform this ritual every 30 minutes to 1 hour. I find this very frustrating. Please help me resolve this issue in the shortest possible time.

I am a disappointed consumer of the LG products and must admit I will not ever purchase any of their products of any kind. I recently switched over carriers for my phone and heard a tremendous lie about the LG phone having and durable glass protection screen. Well In eight days I noticed a hair line crack on my new devise and called for help. I believe LG has a defect on their screens because they have a policy right away. Any crack screen is not under warranty due to damage, neglect, and or abuse.
NOW I understand this policy completely although this company needs to realize not people are ignorant. Be careful purchasing these phones because they will tend to crack all alone when you least expect it. I wrote to LG explaining my dilemma and I called them and asked them to advise me if they are having problems with these phones and customer service ignores your request. Therefore this has lead me to writing a bad review about LG and speak with integrity to be aware of their equipment. Good day!

I do not recommend buying the Phones. I have had LG phones for three different generations prior to this one and let me do it. They do not buy this phone. The processing speed lags even though that has a dual had none of the problems. My other LG 4G phone had none of these problems. The phone was still under warranty so I was told to contact LG. I switched my plan to Straight Talk and was told by LG Straight Talk would provide me with a loaner phone. No loaner phone so I went to a cell phone repair shop and they contacted LG and took care of everything (put phone in box for shipping and a loaner phone). They want me to return the phone to them and be without a phone for as long as it takes for them to repair it. I have called in three times to speak with a supervisor and been told that I needed to call at a different time because the supervisor wasn't there. I have had issues with other phones and never had to return them without having a new one in my hands. I also haven't had to pay the freight myself. The Optimus is an android device and as such has a wide market of apps. Apart from the service provider, this phone is a very worthwhile purchase and I am very satisfied.

I had bought the Nexus 5 from Google Play Online in December 2013. Last month the Phone cracked inside - it was never dropped. There is no scratches, bumps outside. How do I know it is inside? I turned the phone off. And the screen is completely clean, no scratch, no lines, no cracks nothing. I called Google who transferred it to LG Support - I sent in my phone. LG sent me an email, and I talked to them on the Customer Support line. LG claims that the defect is "Cosmetic".
I talked to the Agent Robert first, he transferred me to his supervisor. All she could tell me, and kept telling me was that the LG technician has told her the defect is Cosmetic. I could not get her to have the technician look at it again - the technician has attached a photo the file/account and it shows the crack. I tried requesting if the Supervisor can have the technician look at the screen again and confirm if it is an internal or external damage. However the supervisor (Brey) - told me that she cannot help me - the technician has indicated it is "Cosmetic" damage and it is not covered by the Warranty. Cosmetic means physical damage.
As I go through this forum I am also worried if I should even bother getting it fixed - it looks as if many users having problems using the phone after it comes back from repair. I have asked the phone to shipped back. It's not even about the money now - it feels like a rip-off.

My name is Chetan and I am a student. Very recently, I just gave LG $153 from my internship money (which I do to pay my education loan), to make my phone completely useless. My Nexus 5 screen got cracked. I send it to LG on 8th of July for repair. They charged me with $153. I received it back on 26th July. The problem didn't end here. When I opened the box and put my sim card back, it is not receiving any signal. I tried with almost 3, 4 different sims from my friends and still no luck. I called LG the same day saying, "This is what you have send to me after taking 20 days and $153." They said, "We are sure we test everything before we ship it back to the customers."
I said, "Please help me. I cannot live for another 15 days without phone," and that too when there is a mistake from LG side and with no guarantee/accountability that it will going to be completely fix with no new problems when I will received it back. Even though My phone is still under warranty (still more than 4 months left), they said, "We are sorry, But we can not send you the replacement," nor they are ready to take responsibility/accountability for their mistakes, neither for this one nor for any in future. No one is held accountable in LG for their mistakes, only customers have to suffer and make compromise. Great going LG. I JUST GAVE UP $153. That's how you make your company bring profit from students like me. Note: I was a great Fan of LG phones before this incident took place, which made me move over to used Apple phones for their great customer service.

I have an LG Elite which quit working. The Sprint store wanted $70 just to look at it, but said I could send it to LG since I had only had the phone 5 months and that it should be under warranty. LG received the phone and said that the board needed to be replaced and if I sent the sales receipt they would repair or replace it under warranty. Meanwhile I contacted another company which fixes phones and was told if the board is bad it it not worth repairing. Well, Sprint forced us to buy the phone under their new Family plan on installments.
The sales contract from Sprint stated the date and the price that I paid was O. I sent this along with the Sprint contract that stated I paid $249 for the phone on contract to LG. LG sent the phone back to me unrepaired stating it wasn't under warranty since I am buying the phone on contract. I am looking for recourse if anyone knows what can be done about this ripoff. Therefore I am stuck with a phone that doesn't even turn on and I must finish paying this contract with Sprint for a phone that won't work.

My Optimus m670 loved that phone small screen but never had a problem with internal memory or downloading apps or saving pics or videos so when I shattered the screen it was still useable only if you wanted to slice your finger if you tried to use screen. But I've dropped that phone 100 times with no case ever on it. It was a great phone. I've had problems with Samsung phones and their internal space also. So when I seen that Metro PCS had new LG L70 on sale for $49.00 I thought great deal. I was a little leery when I read specs 4.7gbts internal memory (1.2 user memory), wasn't too sure what that meant so I bought phone anyways because past experience. I loved LG phones.
But that was worst mistake and waste of money. After it updates all apps on phone I can't download any apps. It says memory is full and now Google Play app won't even connect. I tried to call Metro PCS to fix and they told me to call Google. Called Google and sat on phone on hold forever. Finally got pissed and hung up. The part that pisses me off the most is that I see LG has a new phone for $100 new and used about $40. It has features I want but it's not in my area yet. I should have known better than to purchase in a hurry but while you're exploring phone customer service reviews you're missing important calls.
It shocks me to hear this about LG. They've made such a strong name for themselves and their customer service with tv screens, laptops phones, etc. Now they're just like everyone else out for the money customers spend, not to stand by their products knowing for the average person more apps keep growing in popularity that there's no way 1.2gbts would be enough to meet demand. Ya better question would be then where are the other 3.2gbts being used by?
