I only bought this phone in March 2019, so I've only had it 3 months. I had to replace the pen on it twice and now lost a third pen. The pen keeps randomly falling out. I am very gentle with my phone. I had the LG Stylo 2 before this and had no issues with the pen falling out in the 3 years I had it. I went through the live chat to see what I could do about losing said pens because of a defective issue and all I get for a response is, "We will not be issuing any free stylus's." I never asked for a free one. And when I stated that they disconnected the chat after just telling me to take it into the store. It's a Saturday night almost midnight and I live 20 miles away from the nearest Cricket Wireless where I purchased my phone. All I wanted to know was why the pen keeps falling out and to let them know of an issue.

LG has the worst phone and that's the LG Stylo 4. The rudest people when it comes to servicing a customer ceiling beam. In the business of my opinion give it up LG. You have way too much junk. You can't even solve the problems but it's easy for you to make them take advantage of people's money. Me I wouldn't give you a star. Maybe half and then I don't even think you're worth all that.

It's a crime to charge people $100 for this phone. I don't care if it has a stylus. It crashes all of the time with only two apps open. It refuses to connect to public Wi-Fi networks and randomly deletes my texts. Not from oldest to newest for storage like most phones. This a bug and the texts are random. I will NEVER buy another LG product, (let alone a phone) EVER again. LG - Life's Good after you LET GO of your LG.

Nothing helps. If you click on an an alert for a new email, Facebook may come up. It freezes sometimes. I don't get service in places I never had trouble before.

The LG Stylo 4 is the worst cell phone I've ever owned. LG tech support and their administrative people could give a damn after you bought it and doesn't and didn't address the extremely sensitive keyboard that types gibberish if you even get close to keyboard. So now it's out of warranty and offer no resolution to this 300 dollar piece of garbage. If there is a class action lawsuit I want a part in it. This company is getting away with theft and not one thing is being done to stop it while people are losing their hard earned money. Enough said. I'm done!

I always choose an LG when I'm buying a new phone. I personally find them to have an easy interface, they are of good quality, and a reasonable price. I have less issues with LG than any other brand. They seem to last so long that I'm only purchasing new phones just to have a diff model, not because of any technical issues. Sometimes I'm ready for something new but it's always an LG. Plus they have a large variety and pretty stylish too. My favorite so far is my LG Stylo 4. I highly recommend it. I love mine!!! I find it very convenient to stick a popsocket on them as well. It allows you to have so much more freedom with your hands without having to set your phone down.

Overall I like the Stylo 4. I have large hands and this phone fits well. I have had the same make & model with both both Mobile and Sprint. Both have done the job well. The Only drawback is the design of the Stylus. The plastic top always breaks off! I have spent more money on stylus replacements than on phone payments which is very sad because I really do like the phone.

I had a Samsung2, very old but loved it...and wanted the Note but didn't want to pay $1,000 that didn't have the 5g built in. Ever since I bought this phone I have one disappointment and frustration after another. Settings change on their own. New hoops to jump thru occur... Tonight it cut off at 10pm deciding to go to sleep... which, I never set!! I have about 6 mo left to wait on new phone but I'm not sure I can stand it this long! My LG/Aristo Cell phone from T-Mobile is deleting phone #'s - After listening to the CEO of Google, recently testifying before the U.S. Congress... And in recent years, being a struggling senior citizen with health issues, I started paying attention to the harsh reality that Google, Facebook, Instagram, and many other huge global corporations are using and abusing our personal information that they are literally suck up all of our most important facts, bank account info, etc. and they are stealing it... Whether we like it or not! I made the mistake of trying to limit my 'info sharing' with them... Just a few years ago I thought that Google was huge company that was primarily a search engine specialist and information co.
I tried to turn off their info feed and force stopped a few built in apps... But I discovered after the various warning windows that opened up by Google's operating system... They deleted some of my most important phone #'s and was on the phone with a lesson in futility that my carrier; T-Mobile was totally unhelpful and stated they can't do anything... And to add insult to injury... They would not stop my service or would charge me anyway til Mach 4... But worst, neither LG who stated they have no idea and implied I was lying to... Then transferred me to a Google play rep. Who stated she has no idea what I'm talking about then hung up on me...
Called back to T-Mobile who disrespected me verbally and stated they would not stop my service til March 4 even though she could shut off my service now but will still charge me for the rest of the month!?? What does a poor old good citizen do on a fixed income??? Some of my families and life long friends are in various different states and I have to go thru all sorts of trouble to regain those #'s... and T-Mobile is trying to bribe Trump now as they stay at Trump's hotel in Washington... For the Sprint merger... They all suck if you are poor and old.

I have had this piece of junk G7 for 2 months now and every day its a new disappointment. Settings seem to change on their own, you have to turn it off when you wanna charge it otherwise it doesn't detect the charger. When going online, the screen dims and gets brighter. On phone calls the screen either stays on and my ear drags down the quick access menu and does things I don't want it too or the screen goes dark and won't come back on and I'm not sure if the call has ended or not. Simply put don't buy LG phones, save yourself the pain and just have the salesperson kick ya in the nuts instead. I sure do miss my old broken phone.

I have never purchased a phone I was more dissatisfied with. The LG Stylo 4 is horrible. The sound is very low on any video you try to watch. It's hard to get back to home screen, as you have to bring up and press the back key several times. THE BATTERY LIFE IS NOT EVEN 8 HRS (The 1st phone had to be sent back due to only a 2 hr battery life). All the cords were supposed to be uniform and this is not - have to buy new chargers. Was not told battery was not accessible. I had a LG Stylo 2. That was great. Do not waste your hard earned money on this phone. If I could return it for a full refund I would.

If I would tell that 'There is nothing I can say good about this phone other than its potential use when scooping the dog droppings' I would still be crediting a good compliment for this LG4. The product has no quality. It is very fragile. Three months after I have purchased it, it fell from 50cm, right on to its screen. It was padded with a body protector and a screen protector. It was simply fell from 50cm. Nothing more. When I peeled the smashed looking screen protector, I noticed that the original screen was way more smashed than the protector. Do you guys manufacture it from a candy? Anyway, I made the screen to be replaced. It cost me around 200 CAD, and the screen is still not intact, it is a very poor structural design. Apparently, it is designed not to last long, or to be repaired and maintained. It is just a shiny junk.
The DATA and WIFI reception quality is almost next to zero. I used the phone in the city, the city of Toronto. It had the slowest DATA and WI-FI receiving Android phone at all times. It is not only with the service supplier believe me, even at home connected to WI-FI my wife's 4 years older Samsung was quite ahead of this poor LG4 right after a fresh restarting on a completely cleaned phone (cleared out of all unnecessary apps, even though wife's was loaded with many).
Who the hell designed the software, especially the language features such as auto-correction. I am a native Turkish speaker, and English and Romanian. I may understand that you may be incompetent to design for including a genuine keyboard for Turkish and Romanian alphabet. But who the moron that created the language library in the most stupid course that it still force to correct very common words in Turkish -figuratively such as 'for'- to something completely irrelevant words every each time -figuratively such as 'ksy'. After 2 years of using it still didn't learn my name (Tunay) and still forces to something else. Writing at LG4 is like peeing upward while laying down.
Poor hearing quality. In addition to very poor reception quality, it has the worst hearing quality. I can communicate way better with my old S4 active which I used harshly. Believe me, I've tried two phones (S4 active and LG4) at the same location, for the same receiver, with the same service suppliers, and almost a minute or two apart. S4 active just sounds very clear on both ends while your LG sounds like a cat scratching the carpet.
GPS consumes battery excessively. I mean if I put GPS on for about 10 minutes, it sucks my battery by 20%. Therefore, it is literally not a short statement if I say that LG4 sucks. It has a GPS feature, but you better not use it if you don't have a power back-up. LG4 is a prank and class-1 prank... How come I forget to surprises of jack sign?
LG4 is always prone to bring surprises to you because the LG4 may unexpectedly pass to earphone jack mode, and let you wordless and deaf. Unfortunately, it takes some time to understand that it just became mute and deaf. You may understand only when the other end of the communication didn't give an answer to your question - if not hang-up yet. It is totally absurd, right? However the - so-called phone - gadget is meant for communication - by means of talking and hearing since the times that Graham Bell has invented it, LG invented to make the phone mute and deaf... I kept using it because I bought it on a plan (FIDO-which is another scam) and I accepted this as a curse which I have to keep using it until the term ends. If I ever purchase an LG phone for any purpose other than to scoop dog poop, I better be cocked.

Got an LG phone with my new contract. After 9 months, I started having problems with the phone and after 10 months it died. Sent it in for repairs which took almost 4 weeks. When it came back, it had all the same problems including not being able to use it even when it was plugged in. Sent it in a second time for repairs. Some of the problems were fixed but not all. Contacted LG who promised to replace it.
8 days later, no phone so I called. No callback. But I got an e-mail that they would send out the phone. Tried calling the next day and Faten ** (the person I had been dealing with) still refused to call back and sent no e-mail. All I wanted was a guarantee that the new phone would be covered in case of problems but Faten ** refuses to communicate. Some customer service - or rather lack of it. LG G6 touts an IP 68 water resistant certification along with other Mil hardened certifications. That sounds great except if the phone water resistance fails. After six months the phone developed a problem where the SIM wasn't being read. Everything else with the phone worked properly. LG voided the warranty because the phone showed the inside had been exposed to moisture. I do not understand how a water resistant phone has water in it. So if the phone fails to perform to the IP 68 standard it is not a failure of the phone but of the user. Tried talking to a second level support supervisor and the only response is that since they do not know how the water got in the phone they will not assume responsibility. Apparently the certifications are only good as long as they work.

I had my phone for 2 years. About one month after a forced upgrade the phone froze, I shut it down it came back up and stayed frozen. It gave a demigod kernel crash warning. After long searches online I found the solution but I can only resolve on my own if I live in another country. Here LG forces an upgrade that breaks the phone and you must pay to send it to Texas and pay to have it fixed. It is a common problem with LG phones and for LG 4 they will fix for free but not the same problem on any other phone.
My last phone worked for 6 years, still works but of course was out of date. I would never buy an LG since nobody can assist you to fix the issue unless you send and spend. It is an easy fix that I could do right from home but they won't allow us to have the software. Other countries bargained for them to allow the software be available to self fix. LG told me it was a motherboard issue but 9,000 people online have fixed with software updates. But not here in the US.

LG phones, like HTC, are garbage. Super cheap made phones, sold at an exorbitant prices. And just like the HTC phones I had, the LG phones are nothing more than major technological flaws. Not even being able to get through the first month of new ownership, these things start with all the usual problems: Won't turn off. Turns itself off in the middle of talking or texting, or something else. Automatically dials someone on your phone list without ever having to be near or touch the phone. Doesn't DO ANYTHING when touching an icon to make a call or go to any function. Does something completely different besides the function you are wanting it to perform. Turns itself back on "high volume" when you set it to "low or no ring".
The camera flips back and forth between selfie mode and video mode without even touching it. Camera takes about 10 pictures all in a row, without touching anything. Camera won't record when pressing the record icon. Camera won't STOP recording when pressing the stop icon. Camera goes out of focus in the middle of a shot or in the middle of recording. Camera stays "blurry" until you reboot the phone. Calls won't end when you hang up or press the stop icon, you have to reboot the phone to get it to hang up. Phone doesn't respond to personal settings, like turning off the auto-correct or auto-word program.
Camera won't take picture or record video instantly, it starts about 10 seconds later… after the image you want has already passed. Geez, I could go on for hours on this. Don't waste your money on this piece of garbage. Don't waste your money on HTC either. The only two RELIABLE brands I've ever had were Kyocera and Blackberry. Unfortunately, you can't pick your own phone and pick your own carrier. You have to pick what the carrier has, which is usually garbage.

I purchased a LG Tribute phone, through Boost, that after 6 months quit charging. I had phone insurance through Boost but when I inquired with Brightstar, the company referred me to call LG, to use the manufacturer warranty, because the device is under a year old. LG says they can repair the phone but will not provide a loaner phone. Which means the customer has to pay for a month of phone service and only have the device half the month. Seems like LG is in on screwing people over.
After speaking with customer service today the guys were actually very nice and understood the issue. I feel bad for the workers, that LG would choose to work with Boost to screw over customers to their advantage and make them answer the phone to tell the unsuspecting victims that they are getting screwed by 3 companies!! Simply because they refuse to work together to figure a way to help people in my situation! I don't know anybody that is willing to send their only, daily use phone, in for repairs for two weeks and not get a loaner. ESPECIALLY since I pay for the phone insurance every month!!!

I thought well you know Bill make good since I have a Verizon contact on my broken screen protector that allegedly had a lifetime replacement. No, I had to have the old screensaver which was in pieces and it's a way to have them replace it. How convenient. So they told me they could you know get me into a new phone which I didn't want but I in a moment of weakness let them do and they gave me a really good deal.
Now I know why LG and Motorola give good deals and Samsung doesn't. This phone is a piece of trash. When I try to type on the keyboard it keeps going to nothing. It just stops and I find myself on a blank piece of page. Then I have to try and get the keyboard back and it's a mess. Also, I can't walk around my house without it cutting out. I bought an LG phone. My daughter put the phone on the ground at an angle and it cracked. However, the phone still worked. About 2 months later LG required that I download an update. The update shut down my phone and would not let it work. When I called the company they were unable to help me over the phone. They asked me to send in the phone and they would fix it. I received an email saying that they were going to charge me $160 to fix the phone. I told them that I just wanted to have the software fixed that they required me to download. They said that they would not be able to do that without fixing the screen and charging me because the warranty had been voided when my daughter cracked the screen. I pointed out that the software was required by them to download and that nobody else could fix the software. They responded that they do not do partial fixes.
I am upset because they are the ones that caused the issue. They put the software issue on Google and said that it was their issue. My question is how can all of these companies fix a car or computer over the internet but LG requires you to send in your phone. Why can they not fix their own operating system? It seems very shady of this company not to stand behind their own products. If I required you to do something shouldn't I stand behind or be required to fix the problem if one was created. LG does not stand by their own products and blames Google for their software issues. How can you trust a company like that? I can't. I would highly recommend not buying an LG phone. That is something that I feel I can stand behind.

When I submitted a report for warranty both LG and TracFone said the other was responsible for the USB cable.
TracFone doesn't even carry the USB cable or know what the part number is. TracFone is a Philippines owned company and that's where their help desk is located so you don't get anybody who can speak English properly or understand as far as what the problem is. I told him that a problem with Walmart Family Mobile up until now when they transferred me from being billed by T-Mobile to being billed by TracFone even though T-Mobile is the cell phone Communications carrier. If you want a real run around as far as getting Satisfaction by a LG phone you will be very disappointed. Again this has nothing to do with the product. It has to do with the warranty and the lack of physical and corporate responsibility to the consumer. Remember LG is a Korean-based company not in the United States.

Have had three LG "Smart" Phones starting with the V10 which I chose after switching to T-Mobile and finding that the store I was in at the time didn't have any Google Nexus phones in stock (V10 was closest to a Nexus they had). I liked the V10 and was going to keep it until the dreaded boot loop glitch killed it. Wanted the V20 at that point, but wasn't going to pay 800 plus bucks for a V20 (no phone is worth that kind of loot in my book period), so opted for the G5. From the get go, noticed that the phone got VERY hot and battery life was basically not sustainable. With the G5, I experienced pretty much all of the complaints documented in this review blog about LG phones, overheating, poor performance, screen freezing, etc., and basically it got SO bad that I went to T-Mobile to find a way out of it as it was basically unreliable. I mean, wants to pay for a "premium phone" with a premium service and not get what they paid for?
T-Mobile was gracious enough to work with me (Verizon wouldn't work with me on such matters, hence my switch to T-Mobile) and by this time, the price of the V20 was much more reasonable, so I got it. Was very pleased with the phone at first and honestly, had no issue until after a couple of OTA updates were installed and BAAAM! The V20 began acting like its little sibling, the G5! WTF says I!!
Me being a techie guy who has rooted Android phones before, but was trying REAL hard NOT to root the V20, decided it was time to root the phone so I could at least install Greenify to kill any runaway processes automatically when a factory reset or two didn't do the trick. Well, it turns out the current firmware version of my V20, 10t, is not conducive to current rooting exploits and a flash to an older KDZ is needed therefore. As I was concerned about "bricking" my phone, thus having no phone at all, I opted not to do that (but I did unlock the boot loader in the process).
So with rooting the phone with its stock OS was not an option, decided to try LineageOS (the successor to CyanogenMod) which WOULD give me root access in the process and upgrade the phone to Android Oreo. Nope! Not happening as LG has disabled the flash command on the V20 and to get it back would require downgrading the KDZ which I was trying to avoid for fear of bricking the phone. At this point I decided my best course of action was to live with the POS until early next year and then upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S whatever and have done with it.
But wait, there's more! Did some further research on LG "Smart" Phone overheating issues and on the XDA Developers BLOG happened upon a post by a very competent fellow who simply stated, "Remove the FaceBook app and FB Messenger and simply use Chrome to access FaceBook and you'll be fine". Knowing that the FB app at best is "buggy" and that it has been responsible for many an issue on mobile devices, I took the gents advice and VOILA!! The V20 has been WELL behaved since doing so and the battery life has become quite acceptable for such a large device.
Am still going to switch to Samsung next year as I've read repeatedly that LG does not stand behind their Smart Phones and will even charge a customer 20 bucks to have the "paperweight" shipped back to said customer, which I find NOT COOL. Also, I have quite a few family members, friends and associates that have Samsungs and they love them, so there ya go! Bottom line, late model LG Smart Phones are ALLERGIC to FaceBook!

I had 3 LG Stylo 2 phones in the span of 2 years. They are cheap (good for my budget) but they suck. They over heat fast, battery drains fast and charges slow (I always thought it was because I bought bad wires) and the keyboard freezes up all the time. Not to mention out of all Android phones I ever had for some reason LG is highly susceptible to viruses and malware. I decided to look at the iPhones since my cousin uses them exclusively and found for my needs it is better than any Android out there. But do research for yourself.

Same issue as another review. My LG G5 went into a bootloop. I contacted LG and they said they could fix it. If I changed my mind then the diagnostic fee is 19.95 plus tax. I sent my phone in and then they claimed that there was physical damage and that the phone doesn't qualify for warranty service, both of which I doubt. They never offered to repair the phone for any price, nor did they diagnosis what needs to be repaired, or if it can be repaired.
My two options are to give them the phone, or pay $20.00 to have them mail a useless phone back to me; without me learning anything more than when I sent it in. As far as I can tell they aren't going to fix it, or they can't fix it. (Great Repair Service.) It seems to me to be almost like a scam. They don't provide any real service, they don't provide any specific information as to what the problem with the phone is, and then they take your property when you don't want to pay them for doing nothing. This is the last LG product I will ever buy.

The reconditioned phone is bowed - curving screen side out. I can set it face down on a flat surface and spin it. Battery is bowed and also spins on flat surface. Straight Talk is sending new battery. Straight Talk requires that you ship your phone in before they send you a replacement which is a used reconditioned phone. I have contacted the LG warranty department (Boost Mobile) in regards to my LG Stylo 3 cellphone overheating in addition to blackouts and severe screen freezes. I had this phone for less than a year. The agent asked if my Data Usage and WiFi is on together in which makes no sense. Those two operations are mostly required for function of your cellphone nor should it cause overheating. There has been no notification from the phone indicating that the memory is full or too much data usage.
She threw random reasons to me in question form. The operator proceeds to offer that the phone be sent in for repair (of the unknown). How do you fix something that you do not know what the problem is? It will take two weeks after receiving the cellphone before it will be returned. I am one of the few that need their phone for work purposes as mentioned to the rep. and stated that I will need a loan phone. Loan phones are not offered and I will need to go to a service center as per the rep.
In rebuttal I stated that an approval will still be needed by the warranty office and the rep. said they cannot do that. There was no diagnostics ran for the phone, no history check for defects or common complaints. I even inquired if the phone was refurbished which should have been an automatic check by the rep. LG provides no accommodations nor empathy for their customers. There is no practice of customer satisfaction modeled. This is very displeasing.

Then the other day the phone refused to turn on and after some time I realized the battery was hot. Six months and already broken I was pissed but figured I would buy a new battery.
The company that sold me the phone didn't have a battery nor any other store. Once again in need of a phone and still not having much money the lady told me the Aristo was now $10 cheaper and so I bought another. Day two of this new phone it's super slow, keeps freezing, keeps turning off, and dies even if it's charged. I bought my LG Stylo 3 Plus in August of 2017. Within a week, I discovered that the flashlight on my phone gets far too hot and it will burn my skin if it's left on or turns on randomly as it sometimes does. I have burned myself multiple times because your phone physically harming you isn't what comes to mind when you actually use it. I have lots of small circular scars, same size as the led light on the phone. I contacted LG fairly quickly after learning this happens because I have small children and I need to get rid of this phone obviously. I called and when someone got back to me, it was to tell me to mail in my phone and then they'd send it back as soon as they received it.
Well for 1, this leaves me without a phone and I am on call at work for a good portion of the time. For 2, I don't want another LG phone! This is my first experience with LG phones and it's not great. They didn't contact me back for months and that was because I sent angry emails. I have wanted communication. I wouldn't be submitting this review if they actually cared about their customer. Most recently I was calling everyday for over a week, just to find out the status and to get someone to call me. It seriously took them over a week (probably closer to 2) to ONLY EMAIL me. Still no phone call of course. They basically told me I'll get an LG phone back after I mail this one and they will review what I think I should have after testing the phone.
I've been told this since the beginning but they just don't care that I'll be without a phone and possibly lose my day job due to their procedures. They literally can't bend rules at all whatsoever. It's not enough that I lost my contract with a prestigious photographer to shoot for free in exchange for my portfolio. Portfolios are expensive. I lost out on a great opportunity because of scarring from this asinine company, that creates dangerous devices and would rather let people get hurt than to have to spend a few bucks more than they deem necessary. They also all seem to die at around the one year mark. I have heard others with the same problems no matter how expensive the model they bought. They have multiple problems that drive you nuts and then at about a year they have a catastrophic failure and die! The batteries charge SLOWLY and discharge fast. The screen shrinks for no reason then goes back.
You’re on Google it clicks back to the home screen, repeatedly. It's like having a gremlin inside of your phone. The older the phone gets the worse it gets until ultimately it dies! But not before it drives you crazy. It's just one thing after another and then you are FORCED to buy a new one. Right now no one can hear me when I make calls but then sometimes they can and now the voice typing won't work. So I know it's going to die soon. I have been with AT&T for more than close to 20 years, enjoy the iPhone and I'm used to them but recently had to get an LG Phoenix due to financial reasons knowing that it would be temporary hopefully. I bought one that was around 50 bucks on their month by month option. The first one I bought lasted eight hours after being activated. I dropped it maybe 2 inches from the asphalt barely had no idea I'd be cracks at all. I was getting a ride finally from Uber cuzI was stuck in you know. You can't call over without your cell phone and it was not only cracked like it had been run over the screen but the whole phone was broken and the button on the bottom was extremely hot to the touch. So I just pulled the battery out before caught on fire... who knows.
I went down there at the next day. I said how come my iPhone that I had you know this so beat up looking holes in crashed my bike (but also knew this battery was going to die soon on this phone and I was going to have to get a new one) but it still work. The LG broke after 8 hours after activated. Barely hit the ground and cracked and broke. Doesn't work at all. What's the deal. My hands are tied though. I need a cell phone and wasn't going to buy the $20 version of this thing and like I said knowing hopefully this phone is temporary and I get another one in a month something better and went ahead with it and got another LG same model and I have never encountered so many issues of being ask to do things by Google employees in my life. Their banners pop up everyday telling me to fix this fix that.
Some apps recognize my emails. Google has some sort of bad news for me everyday usually related to my email account. One day they wanted me to change my password again which I already had for them. They kept telling me to do this 10 times one day. I did finally that same day then I noticed an hour later they disabled my account because my password was changed and if I didn't get a hold of them and explain why it was changed it was going to be disabled permanently. I got a hold of them by email the only way I could and said, "You wanted me to do this. What I don't understand." So then finally they put it back up, turn it on or whatever. Most of the time they don't.
One day they kept telling me to change my password for my email 10 times after I've already changed. For the many other times I did change it my account was disabled, my password was changed because I did it for them and if I didn't get a hold of them and explain the reason they would not have it turn back on at all which is ludicrous to me. I did not get it. Never heard of that. My point is everyday there is some sort of issue with this phone. The text I can't hear it when I'm actually getting a text but it makes texting sounds when nobody's trying to get ahold of me. The email is a joke and now this is been two weeks after I got the second phone what do you think last night I dropped this phone or slid on a bench the screen is cracked but I don't know why it didn't actually break. The whole phone is still working but I advise anybody do not buy this phone unless you like to be frustrated or you have no other option.
I've never encountered a phone that had so many weird problems everyday so I'm going to have to go down there again tomorrow due to the fact of the phone being cracked and also reading on this site about other people with the same issues and people around town. I heard a couple I ran into have the same cracked screen issue so I'm not the only one. Oh yeah and I also don't understand why customer service at AT&T is excellent when I have my iPhones there. They're knowledgeable, know how to fix things right away. Since I this LG phone it the customer service at AT&T same store/company etc they're Rude, mean, say everything's fine and if they do help me fix something and will take an hour or two literally. And as soon as I hang up the problem comes back. I don't get it I don't.
I would only buy his phone if you extremely had to. I've had phones from gas stations in the past that are 50% better probably more than that so beware. Hopefully my review is understandable. I'm speaking into the phone. I cannot type into it since the screen is cracked. I cannot see really what the word you're saying. Hopefully everybody gets the gist of it. Do not buy this phone unless extremely necessary. It's very fragile and it will only make you want to rip your hair out. Seriously I had high hopes for it but I guess you get what you pay for.

Bought the LG G5 in May 2016. Phone was great for the first month, amazing camera quality and great screen quality. The first problem I encountered was the GPS. My GPS went out around 4 months into owning the phone and wasn't sure why, but a quick google search showed many other G5 owners with my same problem. Next to go was the headphone jack. I only get high tones when listening to music, no mids or bass. Next my camera went out. It will not focus and constantly makes the shutter noise while tilting the phone, even when the camera is off. And my final reason for this review is the charging port automatically detects any USB C as RECEIVING POWER FROM MY PHONE. I have to manually go into my settings and set the phone to charge EACH AND EVERY TIME.
So now I cannot enjoy music, take pictures, use my phone for GPS, and it is a nuisance charging my phone. I have contacted LG and Verizon about my issues and LG recommended I send my phone in for 3 weeks without replacement while they fix my GPS. Phone crashed. Verizon instructed me to call LG customer service as this is a known issue. LG does not send a replacement phone. They send a free shipping label, tell you they will repair the phone and send it back to you in an approx. timeline of 2 weeks.
After 2 faulty phones with same issue and being told that they corrected the issue when the second one was sent who would want a 3rd one? I explained that due to security features from my employer that I could not even access my work laptop because it is setup to send my cell a security code that I need to approve to get into my work emails. My wife and I were using the original LG Stylo phone. Within the past month, an apparent LG software update caused a failure of the "double-tap" feature to close & open the screen. This failure caused REAL problems. I could not wake the screen to answer an incoming call. I had to press the power button on the back to wake the screen & that would cause the call to be rejected and sent to voice mail. I would then check the call log and quickly call the person back. In addition, the software operating system became more sluggish.
Not being able to improve the matter, and reading blogs about this issue, I purchased the new LG Stylo 2 phones. I put the first one in service about five days ago. The "double-tap" feature work very well, until last night, when the phone started an automatic upgrade from Android 6 to Android 7. Immediately, the double-tap feature quit working. Back to the old problem.
Today, I noticed that for a period of time the double-tap worked. Now my confidence in the phone is sinking even more. Reading blogs from others, there seems to be a lack of qualified service reps capable of actually helping with tech problems, an apparent lack of communications by LG to assure users that they are aware of the problems, and are responding.
I spent some years writing code for control systems. I can assure you that this is a mistake in the coding process. Someone caused the problem in a system-call, sub-routine, or something related, and did not pick up on it. For one, when LG made code modifications to the shortcuts across the top of the screen, they didn't (only my perception - perhaps flawed) fully test to see what other functions were affected. It's probable that similar code blocks utilize calls or routines that are generic to several functions. I hope that someone will listen and pass the word to the software engineers. They don't willingly intend to damage features that distinguish their software features from others. The double-tap feature is valuable, and I'm sure that I'm not alone in wanting to keep it working. Thanks.

Well needless to say LG was no help at all. Yes, my phone is under warranty and yes they will fix it. I explained to the lady that I need my phone for business use. He comment was "Well that is how long it takes". Nothing like "let me see if there is anything I can do to at least send you a loaner/replacement." Nothing.
Customer service is horrible, and the phones are worst. The bad part is LG knows of the issue and they are still selling these darn phones. It will take the majority to band together, ask for our money back and not buy their product anymore. I have just received another replacement phone from Verizon. I have owned 3 LG phones over the years and they all have the SAME problem. LG puts the digitizer on the top layer and if this layer breaks which it always does when the screen breaks you will not be able to use the phone. You have probably seen many phones with broken screens that still work fine. This is not the case with any of the LG phones I have had. One of them I dropped within 10 minutes of receiving and it had to be completely replaced. In my opinion you should never buy an LG phone until they stop putting the digitizer on the top layer.

I burnt my hand and ear. I just used it to text. I accidentally left it plugged in all night and it burned the holder that it was in. Then I realized that I could have burned my house down. Since I went through so many of them my warranty was still good. I was sent the V20. My sister was calling me because my mother was dying and I should get to the hospital. I never received the phone call.
A week later I called LG and talked to a supervisor named John, I did not want to take it out on a different person. He did nothing for me. I yelled that he could never get this time back to me. I stated that I want a phone that works. NOPE!! I asked why do they keep sending garbage to my carrier? So I purchased an LG G4 in December of 2015 and I have loved the camera and phone up until my phone stopped working on March 17th 2017. After doing some research I figured out it was the boot loop issue. I went on this website before I sent away my phone and saw all the crappy ways people were treated and I didn't believe it at first. When we went to Costco which is where I got the phone from... they said that it would be quicker to contact LG and get it shipped in... we called LG and they seemed really nice and offered to fix it for free since it was a known issue.
So we get it sent away and then 2 weeks later we get an email that it costed $30 for them to inspect the phone's issue and they blamed the issue on CORROSION! That is DEFINITELY NOT why it broke because I looked after my phone and I was using my phone when the boot loop happened so I know it wasn't from physical damage. They wanted $450 to fix the corrosion!! I'm absolutely enraged at this! It's a scam! I plan on contacting them in the morning but from what I've read on here... that won't do much good! I bought the LG V10 cell phone Dec 2015 in June of 2016. The LG V10 shut off out of nowhere and would not completely turn back on. So I was advised by my cell phone carrier since the phone was not even 6 months old to call LG because it was clearly a manufacturer defect and they're responsible to fix it. I called LG and they sent me a shipping label, asked for me to send a copy of my receipt proof of purchase of the phone and I sent my phone to them. They 'fixed' it and sent it back to me. Now when they sent me back the phone in June 2016 the phone had the sticker on the back of it missing. At the time I didn't think anything of it. I just assumed this sticker had to come off for the repairs that needed to be done just like they told me I had to take off the tempered glass on the front even though there were not working on the front of the phone. They were working with the back of the phone.
I just thought maybe they had discarded the sticker while in the process of working on my phone. I didn't think this was an issue at the time just as long as my phone worked which it did. Fast forward to May 2017 the LG V10 shut off again and won't completely turn on again. So again I call LG but now I'm angry of course since I sent my phone back already to them not even a year ago. Why has this happened again? Are the parts in the phone no good? Did they even fix it right the first time? LG can't answer these questions. Customer service just says "send back the phone and we'll take care of it" as long as it's not because of water damage or from a fall or physical damage that I did to the phone. If it is internal something like a part manufacturer defect they fix it free of charge always. This is what the rep told me on the phone. I said "ok so I got another shipping label".
The rep says "I have all your information already from last time and from what it seems like what you're describing it's the same issue". I said "yes". So I send back my phone, annoyed yes, since I won't have a phone for 2 weeks since LG has no time management whatsoever. But I was happy to know as long as it was gonna get fixed that the company stood by their products and if they had a faulty part they fixed it. Then a week and a half later I received an email saying they were not gonna fix my phone, that I had to pay for it 380 dollars to fix it because the phone was not in warranty. I called and asked what they were talking about, why it was not covered, why I was told it would be and not it's not. Then I was told because the sticker on the back of the phone had been taken off and that voids the warranty.
At that point I was shocked. First off they were the ones who sent me back the phone in June when I sent my phone the first time without the sticker on and second I was told to begin with that no matter what as long as this was an internal damage a manufacturer part/defect which it is, and not water or physical damage like a break or cracked screen or damage from a fall that this would be covered. I told the customer service rep that I had received the phone without the sticker, that it was taken off back in June 2016 from LG and I was told that I should of called and had it documented. Now I had no idea this sticker was a big deal. They make me take off my tempered glass so why would I think anything about the sticker on the back. The rep then says "our techs would never take that sticker off so it had to have been you".
Now at that point I was pissed. I asked this women if she had proof that they sent this phone back to me with the sticker on and she told me no. I tried to stay calm. I talked to a supervisor and again same thing "our techs would never take the stickers off". I said to her "Listen. Mistakes happen. It makes no sense how I'm taking the tempered glass off the front but you leave the sticker on the back. It's an honest mistake. Mistakes can happen. Can you really sit there and say for certain the techs never take the sticker off?" And she said to me "I can't say that it doesn't happen." So now her story changed but then real quick which I couldn't believe that she said this. She said "but you can't prove our tech took the sticker off just like we can't prove you took the sticker off. Can I help you with anything else today ma'am."
I asked to speak to someone else. 7 different people I spoke to that day and no one would help me. I just wanted my phone fixed and these people could care less. I went as far as to email LG cooperate and ask if they could do an investigation since I felt taken advantage of and treated very unfairly and the customer service I received was horrible and that in June 2016 I was sent back the phone with no sticker and I wanted them to investigate that. I received an email pretty much telling me that their records show my phone was fixed, that there was no record of the tech making note that the sticker had been taken off and that without that sticker they won't fix the phone. Regardless if the issue is the fault of a faulty LG part or not no need for an investigation. Said sorry that my phone was broken and told me to have a nice day.
I have never in my life experienced such horrible customer service. Never. It's not even customer service. With customer service they're suppose to help you find a resolution. These people do nothing. I could completely understand if I damaged the phone, if the phone was broken for something I did and they won't fix it. I wouldn't expect them to. But this is a manufacturer defect, a part inside the phone that broke not just once but now twice. Clearly something is wrong with the part and it is a manufacturer defect and they should be liable for it. All I want is for them to do what they promised in the first place and fix the phone. Instead all they want to do is fight with me about a sticker that they took off but won't take responsibility for it and tell me I have no proof that they took it off.
Sticker or not if it is an internal issue they should be responsible to fix it. It is their part that is faulty or they didn't fix it right the first time. This is the worst experience with a company I have every had in my entire life. I will never buy an LG product again. They may have nice, shiny products but they are made cheap and poorly. They advertise well but have no customer service. I will tell everyone I know never to buy their poorly made products. I paid hundreds of dollars for a phone and expected a good quality phone and got a phone that keeps breaking and now won't turn on and LG won't fix. Very disappointing. I have had a lot of cell phones before and never experienced a problem with a company like this. Avoid LG like the plague.

I bought my LG G4 in Jan of 2016. I took it in to my Verizon dealer when it stopped charging. They informed me that my one year warranty had expired the day before but I had taken out the extended so I was still covered. After sending me home to jump through hoops, which are hard on a 66 year old, they finally agreed my phone was not going to work and sent me a refurbished one. This one always had charging issues, since the charging port was loose. It gave out on me in March, when I was about 1,000 miles from home, literally, by myself, and counting on it for directions. They replaced that one, after I got home, after I spent money on a TracFone and minutes.
Now it is May. I'm having lots of trouble charging, have bought countless chargers in the 17 months I've been dealing the these phones and have better luck with the cheap ones, even though they constantly break in, telling me I can charge quicker with the original charger, when in reality, I can't charge at all with it. In fact it was often turned off and in airplane mode most of the time. After 2 years I got the dreaded "No SIM Card" error. The phone was erased, factory reset, a new battery was used, etc. The error still persisted. Turns out the manufacturing of the motherboard is done poorly and components eventually disconnect on their own. The still immaculate phone is now unusable as a mobile device. LG had similar complaints with the G4 and V10 models and a class action lawsuit in California. Who knows if the G5 and the G6 will start having the same problems in time. Last year January, I was very excited to bring home my LG V10, the camera was amazing, the screen size was huge. Initially I was reluctant to buy an LG phone because my previous phone the LG Lucid 2 glitched out. The software became corrupted. I would turn on the phone Verizon Wireless startup screen with loop around on and off several times and I could not start up my phone. Although I wasn't considering to buy another LG Verizon salesman showed me the V10 which seemed like an enormous upgrade to what I have had and it seemed better than even the Samsung in terms of specs and camera and storage capabilities. I did not expect the phone to my brand new LG V10 to crap out on me the same way my old Lucid 2 did.
Unfortunately my one-year warranty for my V10 had expired 2 months ago and I still need it almost an extra year for a brand new contract through Verizon period. Luckily there was another phone on my account that was due for an upgrade. Mind you I had to pay $70 in taxes and other see you but I was not expecting to pay this year. The Samsung Galaxy 8 comes out later this month. I could have gotten them however I would have close to two weeks ago the phone which I need for work so I had to settle for the 7. What herbs me the most is the LG V10 was a $700 phone and it didn't even last a year. The warranty should be as long as the contract period.
I have a stark suspicion that all the mandatory software update had a malicious intent to bug my phone. Trauma same goes with my old Lucid 2 in which I noticed my phone becoming more sluggish and buggy after the updates. Also from the time that I got an issue we got my LG V10 I went through over 15 charging cables. The original charging USB cables did not even fit my phone properly. The Baywood eventually break and stop working and any other cable that I use would break period. The only cable that seems to have worked without eventually breaking on me were these $5 cables from Dollar General. I see I am not the only consumer with the same complaint.
I refuse to buy anything LG ever again, even my past LG flip phone with just as much of a disappointment. Really great features but the quality and durability of product are not even worth half the price especially considering how much the value of phones depreciate in value. Let's see how long my Samsung Galaxy last now period. I do feel disappointed but I had to downgrade in screen size, internal storage and other great features that my LG 10 had. However I refuse to get the LG V20 considering that this may happen to me again period. Totally not worth it.

I contacted them through live chat and discussed the problem. I mentioned that it appears that I've been hit with the common bootloop problem and I think LG should repair a manufacturing issue. I also mentioned that I have a small crack on the screen that doesn't bother me and I don't want it replaced. I asked her if that was going to be an issue and her response was it shouldn't be. 11 days later I get a response from LG that due to physical damage I would have to pay $150 to have it fixed. Needless to say I flipped out and called them but Customer Service gives a scripted response. Asked to speak to a Supervisor and was told to call back tomorrow. I told him to ship my phone back because I'm not investing 1 penny into an awfully manufactured device. Full disclosure. I did love the phone before all of this.

I started having problems with my LG4 about 6 months ago and was told by My Sprint dealer that it was caused from a bad charger. Continued to have problems and it finally totally quit last weekend. When I took it back to Sprint they would upgrade me but I still have to pay off $200 for the LG plus my upgrade. Being 71 with a disabled husband I have to have a phone. What are my options? After reading all the reviews I'm glad I didn't try to get it repaired. And it seems all the carriers know about all the problems, don't notify their customers they might be stranded without their phones, and still stick them with the bill.

It is one of those things you put up with, until it finally damages something crucial to your livelihood and sanity. The first casualty, after an update was the accessibility of the browser. (Google for me.) Before, I could minimize the browser, but after an update suddenly I could not do so. There was no help from the internet. I figured it out myself. Now I had to swipe, make it a dual window and delete it. Annoying, but I can live with it. The second casualty was the mic icon which I used extensively for using the browser hands free and asking for directions. (One of the selling points in getting the phone in the first place.) An update came and, wallah, suddenly the icon vanishes from my home page AND from the browser.
I try different things. Settings tells me that it is on and working. In fact FROM settings I can access it, but no way to get it back on the front page OR my browser. That is a serious loss of functionality. Again, internet, no help. Now I have to type in everything, THEN when I am getting directions the mic magically appears, after the fact. This annoyed me greatly but I lived with it. However, this Monday arrived the update that not only broke this camel's back, but made me scream profanities into an uncaring ceiling (standing in for the universe). Most know; to transfer files (photo and video for me) from an LG phone, the best way is to use a USB cable. This had worked fine since I got the phone (two years ago?) Now, suddenly, after an update my desktop doesn't recognize the phone. Again, internet totally useless.
I try different things. Finally under some secret lair deep in the OS I see that, in fact, the desktop does see it, but just doesn't recognize the phone. This is getting long so I will skip the numerous things I tried: installing the suddenly missing drivers, transferring to Google Drive, (looked like garbage!) etc... Of course, I called Customer service. When they were clueless, admitting it was an update issue that could not be resolved, I asked to talk to a supervisor and after 10 minutes on hold with the same message about how much "we appreciate your business", the supervisor came on and was utterly useless.
Like many of the disgruntled customers here, their only options were for me to send the phone in "for repairs." (Um... yeah, so you they could find non-existing water damage, NO THANK YOU!) or to send me a refurbished phone. (Yeah, so you could leave me dangling for months just to send me a garbage replacement, um...No thank you! And please sod off you stupid git!)
One of the main reasons I have THIS phone was the camera. I have made MANY videos (300 and counting on Youtube) with various cameras over the year. When I saw how good this camera was, I started doing videos ONLY with the cell phone. (Yeah, crazy, but true.) I now have 80 video bits (yup, all in the course of a weekend!) stuck in my camera. I can't film anymore because I don't have the space. I can't go back to an earlier version of the OS before the update, Google Drive sucks like an Event Horizon, and I am literally out of options. I am not happy. I will NEVER buy another product from LG. EVER.

Bought an LG G4 outright mid 2015. Worked fine for 18 months. With no abuse whatsoever, it stopped booting up. Thought the best place to get it fixed would be LG. They offered to refurbish it for $115. I told them to go ahead. Three weeks later, and after 3 calls asking for a status, it arrived with the leather back missing and completely dead. At least when I sent it to them, it would try to boot and then fail. Now it doesn't even light up at all. I checked my bank account, and so far they haven't charged me, but I'm concerned they still might. This phone was touted as one of the best phones available in 2015. I would definitely agree to a lawsuit against LG. Bad phone. Bad service. No offer to replace. No offer to compensate monetarily.

Google recently pushed an OTA update to my LG Nexus 5X phone and caused it to enter a bootloop. Both Google and LG blame each other and no one will take accountability for a problem which is widespread. Type in Google 5x into google and the top search terms are on this issue. Seems like it's more than just a few users that both companies claim are impacted. Look forward to a class action lawsuit, so they take this issue seriously.

My LG phone G4 has a power looping problem or something like that. When I bought it it broke down about a month after I had it. It broke down again 14 months later. I didn't know that their warranty was extended so by the time I called I was 10 days out of warranty with the same problem. They were supposed to fix the first time. I wouldn't own another LG phone again. Their service people don't try to help you. They won't let you speak to the supervisor. They tell you that the supervisor is going to tell you that it's out of warranty. They said I could send it to him and then they would fix it, charge me and send it back. Why I think this phone should have been recalled. Sickening how big companies step on little people.

Late January my LG G3 started turning off randomly and the screen started fading to black. After contacting LG I sent it in to repair through their services. I received a shipping update stating that it had be received at the repair centre January 27th. LG promised a 7-10 business day wait for repair and return. After waiting 10 days I contacted LG and was given a generic response that the phone is under inspection, again they asked for another 7-10 business days.
Another 10 days pass and I have still received no updates, no phone, nothing. After expressing my annoyance with this process and having to pay a phone bill this whole time with no phone LG emailed me back saying they had "escalated the case to their manager" and it would take 4-5 business days for the phone to be repaired and returned. After another week passed I contacted them again, they replied that the phone had water damage and I needed to pay 150$.
Now, if this information had been provided initially that would have been fine. However, after all this wasted time I was hoping to speak to a manager about their repair service and possible compensation for the wasted time. After finding a way to call them through my laptop on Google Hangouts I began the process of calling their support and basically being told to call back another day. LG will tell you their supervisors are busy to avoid having to deal with you, I was told that I would be able to speak with a manager one day, then the next day I was told they had no managers and that only supervisors would talk to me.
In the end they have told me they would approve the repair and I would have to wait for it even longer. It's now been well over a month and still waiting, repair was approved yesterday. Overall, there is a complete lack of accountability and respect for customers within LG. One of the most prominent examples was when I was told by an employee they would patch me through to a manager and THEY HUNG UP. This kind of situation is extremely frustrating because it makes you realize that as a consumer you are not respect and powerless to these companies that promise services for their products you pay for but do not deliver. Based on this experience I would really recommend anyone with an LG product looking to have it repair to skip it, and go look for another product with a company who cares for their consumers.

Bought my LG G4 in June 2015 and it stopped working about a month ago because of the bootloop issue. I called LG and the phone representative stated it would be repaired and sent me a shipping label. I shipped the phone to them and after about a week of it sitting in "diagnosing" status they declined to repair stating it was out of warranty and physical or water damaged. I never dropped the phone once and always kept it in an Otterbox Defender case since the day I bought it. The phone was never once near water. When I called to find out why the phone repair was declined the rep stuck to the script saying, "It's no longer under warranty or physically damaged". She said they can repair it for about $75 or refurbish it for $150.
I declined to have it repaired and demanded a supervisor but the representative kept saying the supervisor will advise the same. I had the phone sent back to me, broken and useless. I am still making payments on a phone I can no longer use as the 2 year payment plan is not quite up until June 2017. I really don't think I am liable to make good on the remaining payments for a broken phone I can't use. I will never buy another LG product. I cannot believe after all the similar reviews I've read there is not a class action lawsuit filed against this company.

It finally died for good. Have had the same problem with it dying and resetting it by removing and replacing the battery. This time it stayed in the startup loop and never turned on. Kept dying. Going to cancel my Sprint account and get a Samsung.
