SO, I don't know what the heck is going on... no communication, no taking payments out.... no nothing. YES, YES... I WOULD ALSO GO INTO A PETITION OR PARTNER WITH ANYBODY THAT HAS HAD DEALINGS WITH THESE PEOPLE... To end this madness, get our money back and close these clowns down...

I approached these guys and three other groups regarding a product idea I had. In the end I went with Davison. I was initially asked for $795 for 'research' to make sure there wasn't a patent out currently on something the same or too close, etc. I was offered a $100 discount so I took the offer and submitted all my idea documents that I had prepared. I was told by my rep that it would take 3 weeks or so. In the meantime I was sent several videos to watch about others that had succeeded with their products and such. I admit I didn't watch all of them because as I expressed up front… It was not so much about my product succeeding or failing. It was about if I could help a few people and save a few lives with my product. I'm 100% sure it will work and don't really need all the hype.

After a few weeks my rep told me he'd looked over everything and it looked 'decent' and would be sending it out. I waited and didn't receive anything. In the meantime I started getting emails and VMs from another individual in the company about how I was going to miss out on a 5% discount if I didn't sign up for something within the next 5 days. I wasn't sure what that was all about because I had not received anything yet. My rep called and asked about what I thought of the 'packet' and I told him I'd not received anything yet. He sounded confused and said he'd check into it. In the end apparently it got lost in the shipping department or something and he was having it sent right away.

So I finally get my 'packet' and all it contained was a contract to sign, some DVDs about the process and such and that was it. So I asked about that and was told oh y’know the VP or somebody (honestly I don't recall the title) approved of me to see more information and that was sent to me in an email. So ok... why would I start getting pushed to pay for something else when I had not even received the first thing I paid for? Why did I receive just another contract and some DVDs and not the 'research' information? Why did I have to ask for that? Regardless... So I was getting pushed for money and a signature, money and a signature, money and a signature.

I told them I wanted to look through the material and think about it. I did some research on the company they wanted to target, which by the way was a far cry from whom I had provided to them as to who I thought would really go for this product, and I wasn't impressed. A few other things were not sitting well with me either. I missed a few calls from the rep due to some meetings. I finally had to send an email and expressed my concerns. So the rep set up a call with 'his boss', him and myself where she provided more information about the target company. I had to leave for a business trip and told the rep I was leaving town and wouldn't be available until the following week. While I was away I was researching this target company in my spare time. They turned out to be better than I initially thought they were so I decided it would be ok to move forward.

I get back from my trip to find an email from the rep about how he guesses I was terminating our relationship because I had not answered the phone for a few days. I didn't get in until 3AM. I was exhausted but I got up and emailed as early as I could to let remind him I'd be gone and let him know my decision. He called later that day and let him know I was good with the research I had done and would be moving forward but I didn't have time that day to take care of it. It wasn't until 3/19/2014 when I had a few minutes to breathe and move forward. My CC was charged an hour or so after we last spoke. I received a reminder on 3/21/2014 that they needed my signed contracts to get started and I was put on some 'fast track'. I signed the one but the other was no longer pertinent as it pertained to discounts I would have received if I had signed and sent money earlier.

I got distracted and busy with something else and didn't get the main contract in until 3/23/2014. I was contacted the next day and they needed that one un-applicable contract as well before they could get started. Ok whatever… I signed and sent that over to them on 3/24/2014. Silence... not a peep one out of them after that. No 'hey these are the next steps', 'hey let’s set up some calls'... nothing. So on Friday I called to get a status update. I got an automated thing saying 'all circuits are busy'. I was busy and it was late so I waited until Monday (yesterday) to call again. Got the same message thing so I sent an email. The rep called first thing this morning but I was in a meeting so I called him back as soon as I was out of my first meeting. Got the same automated message. I should not have to be asking these guys for an update. I have 3 other projects started at the same time and I'm getting updated, have been in meetings with them, etc. since commitment.

I sent in my cancellation. I was on my way into some more meetings and started getting calls from the rep. I quick sent an email letting him know that he needed to go ahead and process my cancellation and that I would be free at 2PM his time to discuss. Didn't get a phone call until about an hour and a half after that where I was told my stuff was in production and it was coming right along quickly. I told him that was unfortunate because the decision was already made to pull the plug on the project and that there should have been better communication. He said there would be no refund so I need to stick with it for a few months because it takes time and he calls all his clients every two weeks. I pointed out I was within my 7 day cancellation per the contract and was met with a big ole' sorry it doesn't matter because the product is already in production. He wished me well. I did the same for him. Now the CC company, the BBB, an attorney and the FTC is involved all because the cancellation clause in the contract was blown off by Davison. Time consuming for several people and a big mar for them. Whatever.

I do not blame the rep. I know he was just following his scripts and saying what he has been trained to say and send what he was trained to send. He just needs to really re-evaluate his job. I do business on a daily basis much bigger than Davison and have never run into a company that does business quite this way nor have any of the bigger companies ever tried to step around a contract. If they do that to the people they sell to I can't image what it's like to work there and I feel sorry for the rep. Bottom line… these guys really are lacking in basic communication skills that would have staved off a poor ending to what started out as a very exciting opportunity.

I currently have the patent pending to my product and I plan on renewing it again in March. This company is ridiculous. First off, I was shuffled around dealing with numerous people: one EXTREMELY rude (Frank) and one that got fired (Charles) although he was actually very nice, go figure. They constantly told me one thing on the phone and another in writing. I'm at the point now where I insist on speaking through email so I have copies of all the bs they feed me, but Wilma ** said "they do not communicate via e mail". They must be afraid of the paper trail. So after all that money I sent them I was told by a man named Charles ** there would be NO FURTHER charges!

After looking this company up on rip off and scam websites I learned of numerous other people that have the SAME story as me! Same names and same lines of bologna they were fed! (Wish I found this beforehand.) But unfortunately that too was a lie. After presenting to their "Targeted Company" and them not being interested in it they insist I pay them another $385 to repackage the idea! They claim they change the packaging to match the targeted company during presentation so they can "envision" the product being theirs. Not to mention when I requested my product sample there was no company name on the crappy box they sent me, which looked like it took $5.00 to make! Actually receiving my product sample infuriated me! It took over a month to get, which makes me think they never actually had one to begin with. They may have made it when I requested it!

Let's not forget that I've given Davison almost $11,000 when all fees are added up. The product sample looks like something you would buy from a Dollar Store! When I complained they told me it's just the "idea" they're presenting and when a company shows interest they'll fund changes to the product. I thought my $11,000 would fund something a little better than the hunk of junk they're presenting. No wonder the 2 companies they presented to didn't bite. I wouldn't buy their presentation either. Here's another problem I have, if they have to "envision" the idea of my product with whatever changes they want to make why can't they "envision" their name on the box?! It makes no sense for me to pay $385.00 to re-package and to re-package again when the targeted company thinks the product looks like a POS.

My sample also didn't "solve a problem" like it was supposed to. The problem was taking down and putting up holiday decorations repeatedly. My sample was supposed to include a lantern of some sort that would stay up as landscape lighting in between holidays. They sent me a pumpkin and a snowman! They breached contract more than once. Davison told me "I hired them" that "I was in charge", imagine that! If it were only true things would be going much smoother. I have specifics for my lighting idea. I had a name they ignored because the interested company would name it. I wanted energy saving bulbs, which were nowhere to be found on the $385.00 box I paid for. I wanted a QUALITY product, which I was assured via phone that I would get for my $11,000 investment; in fact, that was why it costed so much.

My husband is an electrician and has been for almost 20 years. He told me exactly what would work best for my idea, they ignored it all. Actually when they sent me the product sample paper I had to sign I signed it with a note saying how Charles ** told me the final product would look much better and they told me they could not move forward until I signed without the note attached. This was after they already had all my hard earned money. I have 2 kids and another on the way, funds are VERY limited for my family. I busted my butt to give them all that money, just to get ripped off. I have no more to give and they are at a standstill unless I pay MORE money to re-package. I have discussed my idea with other invention production companies but they also want almost as much money, and I just can't afford it! I want to be seen on air to tell my story so hundreds of other people don't get scammed by them!!

I'm telling you they are professional con-artists! If I could just save ONE family the financial hardship they have caused me I would be SOOOO happy! I really believe in Karma and I hope they get caught. I can not afford an Attorney to go out of state to sue for numerous breaches of contract either, my options are pretty limited, not to mention my dreams shattered! According to Davison, I will owe them no royalties if I secure a deal with another company as long as it is not the 2 companies they presented my idea to. I just got my release from them in writing (which I had to fight for despite it being in my contract!) I have a product sample, which isn't up to my standards but still gets part of the idea across. I have a "patent pending" (which after discussing my idea with another company they told me it really isn't "patent pending" that was more of Davison's word-play game) already and my portfolio of all the schematics of the product.

Anything you guys could do to help would be MUCH appreciated. My family is depending on this. This cost really hurt us and I refuse to give Davison another dollar. Their customer service is unacceptable and I hope they go down in flames. I'm looking for a company that will listen to my ideas and actually make them happen, not say they will make it happen then you have to "envision" the product. I could have envisioned it for free! I have made numerous attempts to speak to Mr. Davison himself, with no luck. I guess he's just too busy scamming more clients. They claim they take my product idea to trade shows, yet when I asked them if they could tell me where they have brought my idea they said they don't have that information! It's amazing how "the boss" which was supposed to be myself has been left in the dark.

I have recorded conversations between them and myself where they say one thing on the phone then they put another in writing. I have filed complaints with scam sites and the BBB is currently investigating the matter. I won't stop until I bring light to the situation!!! In times like these to take advantage of people, especially those supporting a family on a very limited income is disgusting! I REALLY thought this was a reputable company. I did soooo much research on them beforehand. They were even on the news claiming how they help the economy by producing American made products, detouring customers from imports and boosting our economy. I contacted 7 on your side to inform them about the ad and how that company treats its clients but I never heard back from them! I had to do some serious convincing to get my husband to support this idea as well.

As you can imagine I have not stopped hearing about this mistake and huge financial loss we had taken by pursuing this idea. The only thing that my husband said was that it was a great idea and he really believed in me and would back me up 100%. He was supportive yet reluctant on the validity of Davison. This is why we spent even more money taking a trip to "Inventionland" located in Pittsburgh to see for ourselves. We really made sure we dotted our i's and crossed our t's. I feel like I let my entire family down! Thanks so much for your time in reading this plea. I just don't know what else to do besides reach out to anyone and everyone that could possibly help me and my family. I am renewing my "patent pending" or whatever it actually is, which is up in March 2012 in hopes someone bites on my invention during the next year. Also, to protect myself from Davison taking my idea which they have every detail of and making a profit on their own, they already made enough off of me.

I guess I will have to talk to the patent office directly without Davison's manipulation involved. Please contact me to discuss the details of my idea, I'm sure you will love it. It is economical, it solves a problem, everyone uses these, and it will save customers money in the long run if actually made according to my specifications. ANYONE I have confided in has thought it was a GREAT idea! Perhaps I fell through the cracks with Davison, but they have had numerous chances to make it right, they just don't seem to care. I'm praying to God I can find SOMEONE that cares! SOMEONE that has the power and following to shed some light on those scammers!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to me vent. Also I have no proof photos because they are good at what they do and they do not put their BS in emails or contracts. I do however have RECORDED conversations where they are caught in MANY MANY lies!!! They are professional scammers, just google it!!! Or click any of these links: **. Just google "invention scams" the first "suggested related search" is DAVISON! Need I say more?!?! ****They are even trying to scam Scambook themselves! They told them they are BBB credited. Look them up, they have an F! AND that they have attempted to settle this with us, which they HAVE NOT!!!!! BEWARE. They are really good at telling you what you want to hear vs. what they are actually going to do for you! Someone that worked for Davison told me the directors actually have the audacity to tweak your invention ideas and patent them their selves!!!!!!!!!!! The nerve!

Anyway PLEASE CALL ME BEFORE you write them a check, you'll be glad you did!!!! I have now successfully deterred 4 people from investing in Davison and if it's the only satisfaction I can get from these people I shall continue to do so!!! One more thing I'd like to mention if anyone is suing Davison and would like a petition from us, PLEASE contact us! We would even be willing to come to court!!!! We won't rest until we get a refund from these thieves!!!!!

Davison then went on to "apparently" approach a company called All Star, with my invention to see if they would be interested. Davison continuously pushed for more funding from me for a video presentation at a cost of over $2000 which is ludicrous. Davison eventually came back to me stating that the company was not interested and they would approach another company if I paid further funds.

This is when I realized Davison are only there to suck money from you with no return on your investment. I would suggest that no one ever deals with Davison as you will be sorry. I handed over in total $10 000 to Davison and received absolutely nothing in return. It is important to note that the true cost to me was an exchange rate issue as well of R11.00 to 1 USD. Davison are extremely wise in their approach to paper work and always seem to cover themselves legally for their fraudulent ways.

Then came the pricing. $10,000 to produce the prototype. After "negotiating" the price went down to $6,500 hundred. Then came the prototype. Only the item created was a plastic, weak and hollow product that didn't have all of the features and didn't work the way it was designed. Still, I was promised over and over again that the "final" item would be OK. Then came the marketing. I was told vigorous marketing techniques would be used to sell my item. Of course nothing is guaranteed, I was told, but they would do their best.

Then after the 4th "non-interest" in my item, each time I had send additional money to redo the logo and marketing page I decided they weren't doing "all" the could. Finally, a person not related to me, took it upon themselves to call one of the companies, selected as a marketing possibility. With much cooperation that company provided written documentation that they only received a fax copy of the merchandise picture! No follow up calls and certainly no "vigorous" marketing techniques were used.

Subsequent checks of all the companies contacted by Davison basically acknowledged the same facts. A simple picture fax was received with no actual marketing pitch was made. Bottom line $8000 dollars spent. A prototype that was changed and made different from the original design. A non-existent marketing process that only allowed them to collect additional funds from me. After these facts came to light, the phone calls stopped. The enthusiastic demeanor once showed was replaced by silence. They had gotten their money and knew no more was coming.

After months of battling with them, I finally received my prototype. Non working and nothing like the original idea I had envisioned. The company is a complete rip off. I will continue to advocate to everyone I come in contact with about how badly I was treated and how secretive, sneaky and deliberate the company can be in getting their upfront fees. Truly a bad experience.

I just don't get it. I don't know how this country can allow them to be free to hurt people and even the possibility of innocent people hurting them and going to prison for temporary insanity. I don't know how they have not had any retaliatory violence committed against them. That blows me away. People have killed for dollars. They are walking on thin ice in the middle of hell as far as I can see it. I just pray that the innocent people who have been wronged let GOD deal with them. Don't get yourselves locked up because of the theft they commit. It won't be worth it when you snap out of it and realize you're in a prison cell. Instead pray for them and keep doing what you're doing with your new ideas and reach out for help.

There are websites like GoFundMe where you can tell your stories and people can donate to your cause. This will hopefully help you to get some of your money back in the meantime. Then later when the court cases are dealt with they will pay just like they did before. Good luck to all of you, even to you so called people who work at Davison or the many different offspring of it. I pray for you that none of you will ever see a drop of blood spilled before you pay all back you owe and then some and after. You all belong in prison for disruption of commerce and trust.

The name of my invention submitted to Davison Design was the **. I was so sure after reading all of your complaints and letters of being ripped off that I posted the whole idea on my Facebook page. Then I found out that the idea is actually already patented by someone who came up with the idea back in 1998. I will provide any necessary information to anyone needing assistance in their lawsuit. Attorneys who wish to contact me for any needed evidence is welcome, but I don't have any that suggests they stole anything from me as I got my $100.00 down payment back 2 days after I requested it based on the 3 day written requirement in their contract. I do have emails that I will forward if needed for any evidence related needs to assist in prosecuting the cases of previously wronged victims of these people. I have done some research on YouTube and there is a guy who claims Davison Designs is also "New Show Studios". Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

When I started asking Melissa **, Director of new products, questions about Davison and how long the process would take and costs, she said she would send me emails of videos that would answer my questions. I got emails of things that either would not download or was the same thing over and over, which was a marketing infomercial of, what I now believe to be, the idea of what Davison wants you to believe they are. I fortunately did not give them any money and pulled out before I signed anything. If I wanted to give my idea away and waste money, then I would have just emailed the idea to YouTube and spent money on a complete stranger.

Now that Davison Co. has their hands on my drawings for my idea, then maybe I should put my idea on the internet so they won't be able to steal my idea and profit from it after scamming me. The government should shut them down or not protect them from a whole lot of "country justice", which where I come from is overseen by 2 good judges "Smith & Wesson".

Now earlier before I confronted him about my concern I told him I wasn't working, so Mr. ** said I could put my husband, who I'm divorcing, in on a three way conference call. I didn't think much of it until after I saw the reviews. He implied on that just in case I would have used my husband's money and he would know about it so I couldn't come back and say they took my husband's money without his permission.... slick but not slick enough for this Libra, lol... I even got a laugh out of him, a real sincere businessman would have been slightly angered at my level of skepticism. Anyhow, I almost told him I should work for the ** company, but I hung up right before letting him know he was a joke to this 23 year old college dropout!! I'm going back to school, lol.

Anyways I'm sorry for all the people who lost something, but know karma is real and God is more prominent!! I'll pray that you receive double as much as you lost. Being me with a drug addict mother, who was raised by outsiders, no telling what I would have done if I was close enough and they took my lil change. Ain't no telling, seriously. Slapping the ** out a rich man might have gotten me life, lol... Well again people sorry for your loss, and I bet your lesson has been learned along with being hurt. I hope they realize they are hurting people emotionally as well as financially. Hope you got some laughs out of me for those who are hurt... ** if I see my idea on the market I'm going find Mr. ** ** face myself, with steel toe boots on that says, "I'm going up you **" right on the tip of 'em, lol... **

Let's get this "Class action lawsuit" going. Enough is enough. Let go troops. Let's march. Let's show these people, you've ripped off the wrong people. Let's shut these sons of a ** down or others will lose money too. Through Davison's con man games. Let's go people. It's time for action. Let's get them. I'm sick and tired of reading complaints about them ripping off people. Then they bully people. If you say something bad about them. ** you Davidson Design I promised to ** you in the ** once you've ** me. Let's "roll" people. Get lawyers!!!

That was something you better learn quick at Davison...do not ask a lot of questions. The money & commission check was the key. We turned a blind eye on a LOT of shady/potentially illegal things going on there for one reason. Cash. At that point in my life that was the only thing that was important to me & we got it in spades. We would tell people that we were "thoroughly" searching for manufacturers or that your product was made for the "specific manufacturing dimensions of the corporation we are presenting it to", all lies lies lies. We didn't care less if your grandmother broke her neck chasing kids out from a burning car, if your payment wasn't in our office when you said it would be we would make your life miserable. Not returning calls after 5 voicemails from the paying customer or leaving a humiliating message for the inventor with one of their family members, whatever the case may be...it was a great scam, I mean the best writers in Hollywood couldn't have written better scripts than we used.

Yes, we had to follow a mandatory script. If you had a rebuttal, we had a page to turn to to answer it, and they were all good. They were written by Frank ** and Anthony Valkanas, who also train the sales people. Valkanas used to sell Volvos for a living, so of COURSE he was qualified to be a Vice President of New Products (insert sarcasm here). Anyway people, we never met any of the design people, we were not allowed to call them interoffice, we as "Directors" never had one bit of input on your product and it was never "presented" to them, it was mass mailed just like the Pennysaver classifieds you get with your junk mail. So people take heed - you will get taken for $685 + they WILL tell you they have to develop it for $8,000-$15,000. You will get ripped off and will be made a fool of.

They tell me not to mail it; instead, they would send a messaging company truck to pick it up, so I did. Within a couple days, they tell me that their company's big show was coming up. This is where they would present all new inventors' ideas to different companies that they deal with but to have a person's idea displayed, it would be another thousand dollars, so of course I did it to be seen. A week later, they told me over the phone that a company was very interested in my idea that the president of that company had written a letter to express his interest in my product and that all the years this woman had worked for Davison, she never seen a letter from the president of this company write anyone. So she sent me the letter of interest from Colgate Palmolive saying how Davidson could be of great help with developing and making a prototype of my idea that would be cost effective for Colgate.

Now for this to be done they sent a form saying if I wanted the full money from Colgate, it would cost a little over 10 thousand dollars. If I gave Davison 10 percent of money, 8,700 dollars, 20 percent, 6,500 dollars, so I went with that deal, sent another 1,500 dollars and never got in touch with me for a month easy. When I got in touch with them, the woman I have dealt with from the beginning no longer was employed there, I was told, so I had to deal with a guy there that never answered my calls or returned my messages and the one time I did get him on the phone, he would just tell me time is running out, send in the remaining balance immediately or it's going to be too late. What a ride I got took on from these lowlife scum.

After Davison got my money, and more than 7 months later, the "Director" told me, it's just too bad, they were really busy and we were just going to have to wait. I actually talked to the VP of the company, got into a screaming match with him and finally, by the end of the conversation, was calmed down and told to call him in two days if I had not heard back from him. I never heard back from him and he never returned my calls. Fast forward to another 5 months later and someone in the licensing department called me to tell me that the company they had in mind, did not want my product and if I wanted them to pitch it to another company I had to pony up more money. That is when I said absolutely not and started looking at all of these websites (which turned my stomach and made me angry with myself for not checking them out on the internet BEFORE I gave them my money).

Come to find out that my $6,000 loss pales in comparison to so many others that have lost twice and three times as much. But, all that has done is make me raving mad.... so, what do we do? Go to DAVISON DESIGN COMPLAINTS on Facebook to leave your email address and contact information so we can file a CLASS ACTION SUIT against Davison. They were successfully sued in 2005 for 10 MILLION DOLLARS....they should never have been allowed to resume operations. I have an attorney who is SO ready to take this case, we just need people to sign up. DO IT NOW!!! We can make them pay for their sins and then hopefully close them down for good.

Soooooo, my last payment to Davison was on December 9, 2013. On December 9, 2013 I called Davison four (4) times and ask for a refund of my $615.00 and I have received no answer till this day. I've called all morning and was transferred to voicemail every single time I called except the one time where a Davison receptionist hung up in my face. ** Davison!!!!

I elected not to invest any more money at this time because I was told the company was interested and may move on the idea at a later date. I was told that they would kept in touch on a regular basis, however that has not been the case. I tried to contact Mr. George Davison but was not successful. I left a voice message with the vice president the next day Mrs. ** contact me and I was told that they are so busy that they did not have the time to return my calls. They had the time to call before I paid but now they are too busy. My advice to Davison and anybody thinking of using them don't. They are too busy.

In September, I received a letter from Citi Card stating that Davison wants to reverse the cancelled charge. I was given the option to accept or refuse. I sent a letter with a refuse. I do not have a contract with Davison. Citi Card still wants to place the charge on the credit card. I called Citi Card customer service and told the lady that I did not accept service with Davison. She was upset and told me she would look into the matter. Citi Card sent me a letter stating that they will bill me for the $100. In October, I cancelled the Citi Card before they could bill me.

Meanwhile, like a fool I had submitted another idea called "Help Me," paid in my $685.00 to get it started. They sent me a beautiful manual that had nothing in it pertaining to my help me project. What was in the manual was downloaded junk from the internet just to fill the book up. I complained to the VP of Davison a man name of Frank **. He did an investigation and could not find any file of that name but was able to find my Golf Putting Aid file name of ** PUTTMASTER. Mr. ** quickly came to the conclusion that there was indeed a problem and it would appear that I had been scammed and they had been caught in a fraudulent situation.

I told Frank that I did not want to scream foul play. Let's talk about all the (mistakes) that Davison had been guilty of concerning my Putt Master project and perhaps we could salvage the situation. Frank agreed to give me three additional visits to Golf product manufacture in lieu of the already paid in moneys $685.00 for the help me project. He also agreed to work with me to ensure that nothing would go wrong as he would oversee the golf putting aid and make sure it went smoothly. I built my own invention device (handcrafted) along with putting alignment boards as prepared by a professional company, cost factor over $400.00 and mailed it off to Davison.. Approximately two weeks later I inquired as to what they thought of my material. They indicated that they had not received anything from me. Note: the box never came back to me thru return mail nor would Davison acknowledge they had ever received it.

I contacted the professional sign company and had new putting boards made up, also included a new 7 foot putting mat, two professional golf putters, a complete manual of procedures/instructions and professional 10x10 inch pictures along with my invention device. I mailed it out by certified mail directly to Mr. Frank **. He notified me when he had received it and told me that he had turned it over to a Mr. Matt ** for processing but he wanted me to develop a DVD showing the operation of my invention device. He told me that he would hold onto (box #1) for safekeeping until I completed the DVD and get it to him.. As soon as I had completed the DVD, I mailed it to Frank and we talked on the phone when he received it. He told me that he would be sending the material on to Autumn ** in the Licensing dept. for processing. Several weeks later I called Autumn ** because I had not heard from her and the normal process that Davison follows is that they should have sent me a form to sign off allowing them to send my material on to a manufacture.

As soon as I got in touch with Autumn, asking her just what was going on with my Putt Master project, she quickly came back to me saying that my material had just come back from a manufacture as was rejected because it did not fit their guidelines to be qualified for review as the product was not professional. This really blew my mind and I knew there was something bad wrong once again. I told Autumn to send my stuff back to me, which she did. What she sent back was (box #2) that had the DVD in it along with my mini mat for show and tell. Seems the VP forgot to send the (box #1) with the professional 7 foot mat and golf putters with the professional special putting boards that I had designed and had professionally prepared.

I contacted a lady name of Lynne ** that had worked with me before and shared with her my problem concerning the fact that my material was missing. She did some digging into several offices there at Davison and found the original (box # 1) that had my professional putting boards but was missing the seven foot mat, both putters as well as all the other material including golf balls, manual with pictures and procedures. The box had been pretty well gutted. Bear in mind, time is still marching on by and approximately 7 years has passed by. Lynne sent me an email several days later telling me that she had found one of the golf putters and was going to get a camera to take a picture of it so I could identify it. That was the last time that I heard from her.

My emails to her fell on deaf ears, until finally a lady name of Barbra ** came back to me wanting to know just what was my problem and how could she help me. She said that she knew nothing about the missing material and that Lynne ** was no longer working for Davison (I now believe that she was fired because she was attempting to help me with my problem). I pretty well had the whole picture of shame and woe is me from all the Davison screw ups and mismanagement along with apparent stupid mistakes by Davison employees that just did not have any idea of what their job was all about. Boy was I really wrong and will tell you more later.

I then decided that the only way I was going to get my invention to move again was to discuss everything once again with Frank ** the VP of Davison. I crawled on my belly and shared with him that enough mistakes have been made and we needed to work together in order to make the project a success. Frank once again agreed to work with me and I once again almost eight years in the making, put together the total package with everything intact, but this time I would not send in another 7 foot putting mat and would not be sending in anymore putters. Just my invention device, professionally made putting boards, another manual with professional pictures and now once again the DVD. It was all together and complete.

I sent the box of material on in to Frank once again certified mail. Time and date is now December of 2012 remembering that I started my venture with Davison back in 2005 right at seven years ago. Autumn had sent me forms to sign allowing Davison to send my material on to a company name of PRO-ACTIVE SPORTS. The forms that Autumn sent me to sign off on giving permission, also include pictures of my supposed inventions that was identical to the information they had shared with me (partially) back in 2005 when we first started this ball game.

I then contacted Autumn and shared with her that something was wrong and I needed for her to share with me just what it was that they were going to be sending on to the Pro-Active Sports people. Autumn hemmed and hawed but would not budge from her position that she had my material that I had just sent to her and that was what she was going to send if I ever got around to signing the form so she could do it. She later shared with me that she was not going to send the actual material, but instead would be sending a virtual imagining of the material. I asked her just what was that and why could she not send that same thought to me for my review. She came back and said that she had already done that and would not answer my question. I then asked Autumn just what kind of paper trail did Davison have to ensure that the client material actually got to a manufacture for reviewing. She talked her way out that as well and would not give me an answer.

I was really suspicious at this point in time, as I should have been a long time ago. I went through a seven month period of time calling in every month to see what the manufacture had to say about the review of my material. After seven months, the answer from Autumn was that the manufacture simply said "NO," that they had decided not to consider my idea (invention) then we go to a repackaging program for an additional $385.00 so as to prepare the material for another manufacture to contact for the reviewing process. I finally made up my mind to check out these people as I felt that I had been royally shafted from stem to stern.

I sent an email to the Pro-Active Sports people asking them just to give me a simple yes or no answer to a quick question. My question was, had they received anything from the Davison Design & Development people to review anything from Ron ** to review. The inspector of new products called me and shared with me that the answer was a very definite "NO," they had not received any material or requests from Davison on my behalf to review and if they had have, he would more than likely tossed it in the trash because they want nothing to do with the Davison company because they are a bad company. I have all of this on an email for verification.

I had been told by Autumn in December of 2012 to call her on the 15th of January to see if the Pro-Active people had any information on my project. I called her on the 15th as requested and she told me that the company was still in the reviewing stages and not to sweat it, but to look on the bright side. Meaning that this company is still in the reviewing process and have not rejected it.. Autumn asked me to call her back on the 15th of the next month of February for check in for Pro-Active Sports reviewing comments if any.. That's when I decided to contact the company and got my information that they had not been contacted and wanted nothing to do with Davison.

This pretty much sums up the fact that Davison did not have any kind of agreement with this company at all. But once again, my thinking that there might well be another screw up, and possibly another mistake other than a fraudulent situation, I called Autumn and verified the name of the company and their address and phone number just in case perhaps I called someone other than the correct company. Autumn verified everything and then I shared with her what the Pro-Active people told me. Two days later, Autumn called me and told me that Mr. ** (who is not the President of Davison), said to terminate my contract that cost me $10,000.00 and pushing eight years of my life they filled with pain, frustration and suffering, saying that I had BREACHED THE CONTRACT. Now, how's them apples?

Since then, I have contacted each of the manufacturer that Davison had shared with me that they had sent my material to for reviewing process (I believe three) in eight years. I did not give my name, but only asked them what was the qualifications they required in order to review an inventor's idea material. Each of them told me the same thing as did the Pro-Active Sports people. They indicated that the idea invention had to have a qualified patent on it before they would subject it to a reviewing process. Please note, my invention never got to that stage of development, it did not have a patent and Davison was fully aware of that fact.

I believe that Davison entire program is a total scam and that along with conning clients out of their initial moneys up to and averaging approximately $10,000.00 each, they then scam the clients for the repackaging (phony) process at approximately $400.00 dollars a whack. Along with wanting to shut these people down, my question to FTC is will they be willing to share with me the total number of client complaints against Davison over the past five years as I put my case together making ready for a lawsuit. What confirmed my initial fears with these people? I caught my pitchman lying - he told me that it's illegal for Davison to accept more than 20% royalty fees, after I offered 75/25 deal if they'd waive the costs after the initial $700. Why? I wanted our interests aligned. After all, I already made the working model of the exact process and had 2 law firms do a patent search. Not much else to do besides pitch to very specific target companies. I spoke to a Sr Examiner at USPTO and they informed me that there is NO legal restriction for royalty fee sharing %. An inventor may own the patent, and share 1/3 of her royalty fees with a promotion company.

Sorry Davison, but maybe the next applicant won't call the FTC or USPTO and they'll simply go ahead and blindly send in their check. Reminds me of advance fee mortgage fraud - no intent to get a patent licensed, they make plenty of money on application fees.

Trust me, stay away from Davison. I am trying to get Davison into court and the more of us the better. So if you want to see Davison brought to court and shown for what they really are, e-mail me so I can submit all of us, and we will have a better chance of justice. How the people at Davison can sleep at night is amazing. Shawn ** really sucked us in! Shame on all of you for what you do to people, their money and their dreams.

I knew which companies I wanted and when it came time for me to talk to the licensing and developing team to further my schematics on my idea with the companies I chose, Matthew ** (Head of New Products) kept changing subject... When I ask for a portfolio I was sent a dime made DVD. The company has made thousands for 25 cents apiece and another with 12 patterns that had nothing to do with my idea; no cost no companies to market to, no cost analysis; irrelevant cheap material; costing Davison maybe with postage a total of $5.00 and a great waste of my time, energy, calls, emails, research on my own idea and the companies I had chosen to work with.

When I had asked for positive affirmation or to move forward or if I would withdraw working with them, they became cruel. So I asked for a full refund; transferred to President, and Consumer Affairs. I did research on Davison and everyone needs to file a complaint with Federaltradecommission.com if you have been ripped off by this company. There are articles to read there as well. The more of us that file on the FTC; they can file another Class action against them, but only if we all announce we will not have someone take our hopes and dreams.

No correspondence after they received the initial. Prior to that, they would call every week or two. No feedback after the first rejection from the manufacturing other than they wanted another $400 to send it to another manufacturing. All they did was to change the name on the same picture for $400. What a joke! They said that was the cost to re-package. What package? It is a picture on the computer. It took one minute. I have reported this to the PA, OH Patent office and the FTC. I will proceed with legal if they do not return all of my money.

I wrote a letter outlining my disappointment and received a call and promises of future dealings to fix the problem. I am now being ignored. I asked for a refund and was told that I could not have one because of the work that was done on my behalf. If the product designed has no relation to my idea, they did not do as they were contracted to do so the work that was done was not done for me, but with no regard to my wishes. I am angry and disappointed, and the good that I was trying to do is not being done. They have my money, and I have nothing.

Second, just because a company has signed on to be included in Davison's list of potential target corporations does not mean that they share any professional working relationship. The target company that was chosen for my project turned out to not even return any communication whatever from Davison, let alone any decision whether to accept or reject my idea. After thousands of dollars spent and over 10 months of waiting for a reply from the target company, I did not even get the courtesy of a rejection. Below is my exhaustive account of my unfortunate working relationship with Davison. And if an employee claiming to work with Davison feels the need to respond to my post with offers to contact their customer service department, I have already attempted this multiple times and have been virtually ignored. If my issues were able to be resolved through their customer service department, I would have had no need to post them on this forum.

Letter to George Davison: "I am taking the time to write you personally in order to bring to your attention some facts you might find interesting about my experiences as a client working with representatives of your company. When I first had my idea for a new invention, I made it myself and actually used it successfully for 3 months. It was so successful, in fact, that my friends and family encouraged me to make more and try to market them. While researching this avenue, I came across Davison and was immediately impressed. After a long search of looking at other companies, I decided to put my full trust and faith in yours. I also read up on your background of how you got started in the inventing business, along with all the hardships and challenges you had to face.

If I remember correctly, I believe that is one of the main reasons why you decided to start your own company - to help people bring their ideas to market while avoiding much of the negative experiences you had when starting out. That is why I find it unfortunate to relay to you that I have been exposed to many of those same negative experiences and emotions while progressing through the design/presentation process with your company. I know you care about your company and have spent many years refining the design process, but for me as a current client, I feel that my trust in choosing your company to work with has been misplaced and I am now filled with doubt and disappointment.

My idea spent about 6 months going through the design process and has now been in the hands of the target company for over 8 months. They have not yet offered a response to the acceptance/rejection of my idea. So you see, I am not disappointed over the result of my idea, rather the design process itself, the representatives I worked with, and the lack of value that I now feel as a paying customer of your company. I tried multiple times to resolve my issues with Davison's Compliance Department, but after 3 weeks of being virtually ignored, I was left with no choice but to file a formal complaint with the BBB of Pennsylvania against your company. I have included with this letter full documentation of my communication with the BBB and a representative of Davison. In the complaint, I tried to be as objective as possible, sticking to facts and not opinions, as I sincerely believe that my rights as a paying client of Davison had been violated.

This is opposed to being perceived as a disgruntled client who didn't like the way the results of my idea turned out. I do not yet have a decision from the target company, so the ending of this story is yet to be revealed. It is my hope that you take the time to review my case and my ideas history with your company, in order to help your company improve. Of course, I would like a favorable outcome to my idea, either by refund or acceptance by the target company. But at this point, I can only give an unfavorable review of my dealings with Davison because I do not feel that I have been treated fairly or considerately as a client, which will ultimately lead to future loss of business for your company. Thanks for taking the time to read this letter."

Official BBB of Pennsylvania complaint: "I am writing in concern over the status of my project and the poor quality of services rendered by Davison Design. I have been working with Davison for over a year now and have contacted multiple representatives of the company regarding my dissatisfaction with each step of the design process with little or no results. For clarification, I will break down each stage of the design process and include my comments.

Pre-Design: During the pre-design process, I was told by my director that I would be allowed to give feedback for each stage of development, in which Davison would then use to make adjustments. A client/designer communication would be established and a two-way street of feedback/implementation would continue until the client is satisfied and thus could proceed to the next step. This was a critical point in my decision to work with Davison, as I already had working prototypes of my idea and specific information to the field of which it would be applied. I was more than willing to supply this information. However, this client/designer communication turned out not to be true. After speaking to the vice president, he confirmed that the design process is a one-way street, where Davison provides what they think is best and there is no option to rework a project if the customer is dissatisfied.

I was also told that my idea would be presented to the target company in person, so that it could be explained and demonstrated. This also turned out not to be true. The only initial piece of information the target company received was a virtual rendering on a piece of paper. During the pre-design process, I was informed that the research and design costs of pursuing the development of my idea was eligible to be claimed as a deduction on my taxes. This was another big reason for choosing to go ahead with working with Davison. However, when it came tax time, there was no representative at Davison who could help me file the proper claim or confirm that the costs could be deducted. Even after my tax preparer called the IRS, he received conflicting information about this deduction.

Virtual Rendering: After receiving the virtual rendering, my reaction was one of disappointment. Of the three goals that Davison has set for itself in the virtual design process, I found only one out of the three was successfully accomplished. First, we have attempted to compile as many of the functions and features as possible of your original idea into one complete, cost-effective product that we can present to the corporation. - I believe this was successfully accomplished Secondly, we studied information about the corporation and attempted to integrate your idea into a product suitable for their line. As you will notice, your rendering illustrates packaging geared directly towards the corporation's line of products.

The overall package design was extremely generic and the compilation of images could have been taken from any internet photo site. I personally researched the target company's product lines and the presented design was nowhere near the scope of their existing product packaging. I requested multiple times for a list of how the virtual rendering was specifically geared directly towards the target corporation's product lines and was never supplied an answer. The images on the product packaging themselves were poorly photoshopped and the working product depicted on one of the images was grossly enlarged, completely misrepresenting the proper use and dimensions of the product. Lastly, we studied the name to make sure it communicates to people who have never seen a product like this before.

The name on the design was not chosen properly from someone with knowledge in the field to which it would be applied. While it may seem minor, the name is wholly inaccurate and would give anyone unfamiliar with the product an incorrect impression. These concerns were recorded on the survey that accompanied the agreement and after speaking multiple times with my director and vice president, my dissatisfaction was well known at this time. I did, however, sign the agreement to continue with the process because I was told through these conversations that 1) if I wanted a rework, it would have to go back at the front of queue just like a new project and may take additional months to complete, 2) I was told that the virtual rendering could still be changed throughout the process after the agreement was signed, and 3) I was told that the virtual rendering was just a representation of the idea and it was implied that it carried no real importance. If I had known at the time that this would be the only piece of information initially presented to the target company (and currently the only piece), there is absolutely no way I would have allowed the process to continue without a rework of the design.

Executive Summary: I felt the Executive Briefing fell way short of accurately and professionally representing my idea. The actual product sample presented in the photo appears to have rough-cut edges. It looks wrinkled, the stitching does not look uniform, and overall does not portray it in a manner that looks like it was professionally made. I supplied my own prototype to Davison for an example which appears of better quality construction than that which is represented in the summary. The product packaging design looks like it was cut and pasted directly from the virtual rendering onto this briefing. I never did see the completed product packaging as it would be shown if the target company asked for it. During the entire design process, I volunteered much of my own feedback and opinions of what I would have liked to see incorporated into the design and to help aid the design team in an area of which I was told they had little knowledge of. I didn't see much (if any) of my feedback used and the inaccurate design summary reflected this.

Also, in the New Discovery section, there was a grammatical error. While trivial of itself, the Executive Summary was supposed to be the final proof of what would be shown to the target company. This made me question Davison's quality assurance team as well as the quality of information the target company would actually receive. Again, the above concerns were noted on the opinion form sent in with the signed agreement. And again, the only reason why I signed this agreement was because it was confirmed through speaking with the vice president that a re-design would not be possible. This is quite contrary to what I was originally told during the pre-development phase and before any money was paid to Davison. I made the choice to continue with the process, even though I was very dissatisfied at this point, because the alternative was to have my project halted and my fully paid money wasted.

Presentation to Target Company: Once I was transferred to the Licensing Department, I received an email indicating as such and was informed that my current director would no longer be my contact. This was fine, except that the incorrect name of my director was used in this email communication, which was very odd. I had also tried to contact my director asking for more information about the tax deduction for a few weeks before this time and received no responses. It was only after speaking to my new Licensing Dept. contact that I was informed that the director I had been working with was no longer with the company. This was also very odd considering all the questions and concerns I had throughout the process and furthermore, this unfortunate event was never communicated to me prior to this time. I have been told that the virtual rendering was submitted to the target company and as of this writing, it has been over 7 months in their possession with no decision made. I have been told by my licensing department contact that 4-6 months is within the commonly acceptable timeframe, which I understand.

I am also fully aware that the company has the right to delegate as long as they wish without coercion from Davison to arrive at a decision. However, I have requested repeated times for the director in contact with the target company to simply ask about the status of my project on my behalf. I would like to know whether my idea is being legitimately considered among the target company or if it has even been looked at or forgotten about. I have been told that the director is in regular communication with the target company but when receiving updates from my Licensing Dept. contact, I am mostly told that the director only got a voice mail on his last call. I have requested to speak to this director as well as requested to see a list of the calls made and their results during the time in which the target company has had my project. These requests seem to have been ignored.

Customer Service: Since my extreme dissatisfaction has been escalating, I have attempted to contact Davison's Compliance Dept. via email. I have sent three such emails indicating my concerns with the status of my project. The first email response was received three days after the initial submission and indicated that someone from Davison would contact me. I did receive a call from my Licensing Dept. contact shortly thereafter, but only to tell me that the director once again was not able to talk with the target company’s contact. No response was received about my project concerns. Two weeks later I sent another email to the Compliance Dept. and after no response after three more days, I sent another email. Another week has gone by and still I have received no response addressing my concerns.

Thus, I am now compelled to write a formal complaint through the BBB. As of now, I have no idea of the status of my project other than being in the possession of the target company. And to avoid the perception of a client who received a negative decision from the target company, I have filed these complaints before a result has been given. I have also moved to requesting a refund of the money I paid to Davison for the continual poor quality of services rendered as well as the misinformation (either intentional or unintentional) that persuaded me to sign the agreements during the developmental stages of the design process."

Most recent attempt to contact Davison's customer service dept. (also no reply from Davison): "I hired Davison Design because they claimed to be a full service company for developing and marketing ideas to corporations with which they have an established rapport. My design was sent to the target corporation, JD D'Addario, 10 months ago and there has been no decisive response from them. I recently discovered that Davison has attempted to contact D'Addario only 3 times in those 10 months, only leaving voice mail messages with no indication that these messages were ever returned. When directly posing this question of communication to my licensing department contact (of which I already knew the answer through my complaint filed with the BBB) she avoided answering, as if there was something to hide.

For a company that is supposed to have a reputation of carefully selecting target corporations to market ideas to and adding them to their database, D'Addario has shown no interest in returning any communication with Davison, let alone providing any feedback or decision about my idea that has been sent to them. I understand that target companies may take time to provide a decision, but in all regards D'Addario appears to be a "deadbeat" company that has no rapport or respect for Davison whatever. Also while Davison claims to have complete knowledge of the target company's marketing and manufacturing processes, they have claimed complete ignorance as to the company's product review process, which I find disconcerting. They say each company has its own review process and they may need time to show the idea around their departments and such.

This reasoning was understood for the first 4-6 months, but at month 10, with solely a virtual rendering on a piece of paper and no indication of returned communication, this no longer holds credence. Davison has lost a lawsuit for transparency issues before, and I see a complete lack of transparency in regards to providing me, a paying client, with truthful answers or tangible results. I have also seen no evidence that Davison is actually performing the actions that they claim to be taking with my idea. I paid Davison for their service and trust in choosing a company to market my idea to, with which they claimed to have an established working and professional rapport with, and they simply have not delivered. It has been indicated that after 10 months, Davison hasn't even received any returned communication from D'Addario whatever and I have just been informed that Davison will no longer attempt to contact the company. To have a working relationship with this company is a false claim, and is certainly not what I paid a professional company for. For this, I request a full refund."

I was lied to by a million times by Davison Director of New Products, Brian **. I paid $8,000 and got zero results. It took almost a year to find out they were worthless. I patiently waited during their process. There is no such thing as a legitimate invention marketing company. Cut out the middle man. If you have an idea, research what manufacturer process is used to make your product. Then contact a local manufacturer with that capability. Have them sign a non-disclosure agreement. Then pay them to produce it and get a patent using a local, registered, patent attorney.

Although I honestly thought I had an original idea, my own research turned up the fact that it may already be in the process of development. Davison also stated money was not an issue because they could always settle for a portion of the profits. The end result was being sent a bill for $6,000.00 saying if I wanted to go any further, I would have to pay it. I spoke to the president of the company who then referred me to a manager. The manager told me people should max out their credit cards or use food money if they had to come up with the money his company asked for. The bottom line is if you don't, "you're dead in the water," were his exact words.

I have all my conversations with their smooth talking salesman documented as well as all the propaganda they sent to me of their success stories. Not surprisingly, they're very proud of their toilet bowl bolts. Unless you have a lot of money or investors, do not waste your time with these criminals. Even if they're not doing anything illegal according to the terms of their contract, what they do ethically is appalling. Personally, I'd like to see them sued into a national spotlight and put out of business. Since my concerns, I have learned that Davison had been sued by the FTC for practices that are still being used today in which I am a victim of. For example, I was told that they had great contacts with companies, more specifically, Cuisinart, with which they would be presenting my design to. I am learning that they do not have solid standing here.

When I told them that I had another company in mind, I was told that they were the experts in this area and had done all of the preliminary research to target this company. I even asked who their contact with Cuisinart was and was told that it was a confidentiality matter and could not be shared with me. I was also told that very few people's ideas were accepted by Davison as they were selective on the applicants received but mine was being accepted for further development.

They were sued by the Federal Trade Commisson in 2006 and were to pay damages for millions. I was lucky in that I found them out before giving my credit card. But my complaint is also that Publishers Clearing House has their advertisement to entice customers to sign up. I contacted Publishers Clearing House, and they will not call me back. There is the court judgement listed from 2006 on the internet pages.

I am writing to get this ad off Publishers Clearing House site and make public of the fraudulent Davison, Inc. which claims to be a company in Pennsylvania. Help me get rid of this company, and I don't know how they can be in business after the Federal Trade Commission sued them. I want to sue them in a class action suit, PCH and Davison,

I contacted Ripoff Report and filed a complaint with them. They replied “Davison is a very nice company and has joined our CAP program. If you’re not happy with the way things are going, Mr. Davison says you can pull out and get a refund for work that has not been done. He is 100% customer satisfaction. We will send Davison your complaint and you will hear in 3 to 5 working days.” 10 days later, I have still not heard from Davison and wrote back to Ripoff Report. They did not reply.

The next day a guy called. Greg rang us “What’s the problem?” So we explained to him what had happened. He said to put it in writing. I asked where Jeff ** was and he said “Oh he’s left.” “So who do I address the letter to send it to?” “Jeff ** and I will get it.” I wrote to the compliance department and a letter to Jeff **, telling them we no longer wish to continue with their company, as they had not acted in our best interest and would like all papers and prototypes returned with a refund.

Greg phoned us up and said “What do you want us to do?” I said “Didn't you receive my letter?” “Yes, and you’re not getting a refund.” I told him we had been in touch with Ripoff Report. he laughed, “Never heard of them.” “Well Mr. Davison won’t be pleased.” We stated that he was in the customer satisfaction program. “I will put you in touch with our legal department.” We were contacted on 4/05/2009 by a Frank **. He said “What can we do for you?” My husband explained the situation. “Well send me an e-mail and I will act on it.” I spoke to Frank ** and said “I think you are just giving us the run around. We have sent you emails plus letters and now you want another email.” “Yes, and I will act on it.” So we did, stating that we wanted a full refund within 14 days and all items returned to us. Davison has not contacted us since.

We had to borrow money from family to pay Davison Designs. They have stolen US$10,000 from us and are getting away with it. This company needs to be stopped. They have already had to pay 10 million dollars to the FTC. They lost a court case in July 2008. They have destroyed our dreams and left us in debt.
