I gave them an idea to make an arm patch case to hold your iPhone when you're running with wireless headphones to put around your ears around the time iPhone came out. I can't remember the female's name but basically I would have to put 1000 dollars down and that it was going to be a big hit. I didn't have 1000 down or money to patent the idea. She said it would be confidential she wouldn't tell no one about my idea. She will call me back when I was ready.

I brought an idea to this company and paid the initial fee of $800.00 and started going through the process to find out I had to pay another fee for the rest of the invention to be done. I started making payments and they gave me a folder with papers and a DVD. It took me about 16 months to complete my payments. When I was done paying my invention went nowhere. I have asked for the prototype and still haven't received after years. The guy ** that I worked with went somewhere else and I had felt as if he stole my invention and had disappeared and I was left out to dry. They did send me some cool CAD 3d drawings. I still never got patent and that was part of the deal. Something better happen soon.

After weeks of speaking to ** regarding the design and intentions of my invention, I went into agreement that they would design create presentation materials to be designed by them for me, this included a product sample, orientation product drawing and or CAD, circuit design assembly, a machine product sample, and a prepared products sample that will have a professional appearance concluding with products sample assembly with photography for documenting. They would also take care of packaging and would she have a package sample to show me for my final approval. This would lead me to a product sample finalization and the product the package be placed together for a creative final product sample.

I have only paid the initial $796 or so Davison charges to do supposed initial investigations to see if my idea is unique they say. Now I am sitting awaiting a call in about an hour from Davison to arrange my first payment toward $5850 USD which will make my prototype, this only bases on the title of my invention. I have been wondering how they planned to proceed without even a single drawing from me. They have been planning to deliver a supposed invention prototype to me. Then present it to my Targeted Company. I mean I have been wondering how they planned to proceed with only the Title of my invention. They have nothing more.

I came across website to enter my invention. So, I did. Davison calls me and promised my idea would be a hit. I haven't sent any money or signed anything at this time. I looked up my idea and it was invented in 2009.

I have already paid $745 for the predevelopment stage. Now I am being contacted on daily basis to pay the $5850 for the second stage. Reading about everyone's experience here kind of pushed me to go ahead and review the docs I have received from them. And found everything that was said in the other comments to be true. Another thing that caught my attention was the targeted company for my invention, guess what??? The targeted company has nothing to do with my invention since my invention is in technology and this targeted company was a dead radio website that with two buttons one takes to a sports link and the other one takes to an error page. I'm glad I found out about before I sent out the money. The only thing I need is my money back even it’s small comparing to the amount that so many people have paid. If there's any lawsuit I'm in.

I found Davison in an email ad, I had been thinking about my idea I had came up with a few years ago, and never did anything with it. So I contacted Davison online, and 3 days later a representative contacted me by phone, and told me my idea was a great one, THIS I KNOW. We spoke about my idea, and why I wanted Davison to help me with it. Long story short, the guy told me, their fee is 795.00, and if I didn't have it all upfront, I could make payments. Well being excited I agreed, paid the money, but this was after a few days of thinking about it, and speaking with the guy; which I won't mention any names. But, I am very unhappy with the games they have played with everyone on this page, and I'm so sorry this has happen to you all. Maybe we all can be strong and take action!

My grand daddy once told me a long, long time ago, "Son, when you suddenly discover that you're being dragged down a con game hole, cut your losses and get away from that hole." Well, lucky for me, today, 4-11-15, I've read enough complaints about Davison. Yesterday, their smooth talking representative gave a glowing report on the progress of my GREAT invention. And, boy-o-boy was I ready to choose my option #1, or #2, or #3, or #4. Then the hammer fell. They wanted slightly varying costs out of MY pocket to further the progress of my invention.

Davison phoned saying you have a great idea. Don't get con by this company. All they want is your long earned money. All they do is give you a portfolio and pictures. I spent $10395 dollars. They pass you around to 2 to 3 people saying they are directors. I asked where's the other director, they said he's left company. I don't know who I am talking to. It could be someone at home smoking a big fat cigar and laughing at us mugs for sending our money to them or they might be in the Caribbean on holiday say another mug has paid for our holiday.

Davison took me for $14,000. This was a huge part of my retirement. I paid the money to them because I considered it a worthwhile investment in my future. The gentleman was very kind and encouraging. He contacted me every week with a positive progress report and seemed quite professional. I was kept updated with the progress of other inventors and the success of their products on QVC.

A demo unit would have been built by Davison and presented to possible buying companies for USD 5850. I only received an a4 sheet with a neat drawing of my rough copy. They said this was what cost me USD 5850.

I was told from ** at Davison it would cost me $795.00 and they would take payments as well as they would get 10 % and I would get 90% of the price that the item would make even though I would be making the product all by myself!!! I have read what some of you have said about getting a class action lawsuit against them but here is another thought that would take them down at their knees!!!

I did a preliminary with them on 2 products. We sent manufactured samples, documentation and CAD drawings. They had to start from the beginning to catch up to what we had and that was $1400 thrown away. Then we were told who they were going to pitch the products to and neither company had ever done a deal with Davison. They followed with wanting more money for packaging and presentation specific to those companies and we already showed them our packaging. Bottom line we discontinued working with them as all they did in the 6 months was just about zero as far as we were concerned. To top if off we had to get our attorney to write them a letter demanding return of all of our products and information. MOST IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE THINKING OF WORKING WITH THEM IS THE FOLLOWING.

I was working with one of Davison's representatives and even drove up there from Maryland at the time to view the office and meet with them. Everything looked nice and they seemed to be on the up and up, but all they did was take my money and I never heard from them again. Lot more to this story but not enough time or space to write it all down. Don't waste your money or time with them.

I was scammed by them for making me think I was going to be big or be somebody one day. I told him I was on SSI...Every month I get my check. I paid them $800 dollars, $60.00 a month until paid. Well I am thinking, "They will have me fixed up." Well my mind got to thinking, "Something isn't right." So I told him, "I don't want to do this no more," and I ask for a refund back. He wouldn't give it back. I was so mad. He said I pay for a portfolio. Nothing but a stupid document saying much of nothing. He used me because he knew I was slow and was sick. I told him, "God doesn't like ugly people running over poor people and I just pray and leave it in God's hand." He was keeping that money to his own use. I was hard so bad down and out, my family and friends laughed at me. Now I feel not a stupid fool. I cried night and day about it. I was so hurt.

Hi all, after reading everyone's stories, I figured I better throw mine in as well... I contacted Davison about an invention I had already built a couple prototypes for. Their salesman ** made a lot of promises and being a multi small business owner, I felt I was pretty good at sniffin' out the crooks... WRONG!!!! I flew to Pittsburgh to meet with this ** in person. Long story short, I bought in to their whole dog and pony show of invention land for the kids and ended up cutting a nearly $10k check and was assured if I commit, then they would send it to all the over 14 companies that might be interested. As time went on, they supposedly had it ready to send to the first company and it got denied. Now this is totally fine and very expected when trying to launch a new idea, but here is where it took a turn for the worst.

I'm in the process stage 4 where they have done "3D simulations and rendering". They said I would get a 3D cad rendering that I could use to produce a 3D print prototype. When asking for proof, pictures of their test and own prototype they claimed they done. I get very angry arguments and kind of threats. I just await if they really will demonstrate my idea/product to their stated high profile client. Good thing is that I have contacts in that client so I can check if they indeed held the demo or not.

Three years ago I took $10,000 retirement savings to try to get my idea to market. I contacted Davison and received an enthusiastic pitch for my idea. After several companies and repackaging fees, nothing has happened. The communication from Davison was limited to requests for more money to propose my idea to yet one more company. Calls to Davison were mostly one sided. I did most of the talking and they mostly listened to my complaints. The last call from me informed them that I had no more money to give them. I have not heard from them since. I am very disappointed not so much for the loss of money but because I really trusted that they were going to help me with my idea. Throughout the whole process they insisted that I not tell anyone about the idea or contact the companies directly. I know now why.

DO NOT TRUST Davison. All they want is YOUR MONEY. They don't care if product sells. They say how great your idea is, and even tell you "congratulations on being part of the 01% that make it" (before you pay them thousands) then when the new year starts, they don't call. Bottom line, do not fall for their MARKETING B.S.- don't be like me. I would question their legality and would to see ANOTHER Class action law against them. YES, ANOTHER ....... unhappy in N.E.

I have a working prototype of an invention in the area of poultry husbandry. This has one truly unique, proven and invaluable feature to it that is not shared by any other product in this class. For some inexplicable reason Davison negligence to mention this to the company targeted to develop this product and it was turned down. Now Davison want me to pay more money to them so as they can represent to another and lessor company. Furthermore, Davison never showed me anything that they did for the $7,000.00. plus that I paid over to them other than an artist's impression of the product. I could have done that myself.

I had gone to Davison about four years ago... they told me I had a great invention. They would talk to me everyday about raising the funds.... They had done a patent search and there was nothing like this product out there. They assured me the fella that did the search used to work for the patent office. Well once money changed hands the company became very evasive. To get a call response I could wait as much as three months at a time. I had also had my product sent to prospective companies. Found out they never sent the physical item.. after so many kicks at the cat. I told them I wanted my sample and everything back... this took forever. Once getting the product I found it was a very crappy copy - not usable, being it's a tool. Best way to explain the product is to say it had the consistency of a model that a child would build.....

About 2011 I received an email from Davison ask if I had an invention I might like to have help developing. I replied to the contact as I had an idea for a product. We received the Contact call from Sean and we started the process. It took my Mother and I awhile to write up our invention and include all the information they wanted. We sent that with a Bank transfer of $9,000.00 to get started. Because I was only 18 at the time my mother is my partner in this venture. She is on SSI and only receives a small amount a month for us to live on $720.00. We used $9,000 my Grandfather had left me for college to send the initial money. We received the contracts and signed everything. We were told we had to apply for the patent so we paid the money and did receive to provisional patent. Then we needed to pay an additional $10,000.

I was on the Internet a week ago and I saw this ad of giving me idea--so stupid me, I submitted unknowing what was going to happen next... I forgot about and all the week after that I received 2 calls per day for a number was from Pennsylvania then I check my voice messages and was from this Davison company. I contract them since last week and luckily I didn't give them money that is were there up to... They asking me for 795 dollars which I don't have of course. I was about to invest my. It occur to me to make a internet research and I found all this complaints about this company. Thank God for letting me read all this... because on Friday 2/27/2015 I was going to tell them "yes I was going to make a investment for a low monthly payments..." But after reading this of course not.

We do need a class action lawsuit against Davison. Please let me know if there is one. I paid Davison to go forward and the sample was nothing as expected. They then said they are presenting this to a company. I asked for contact information to the expected company. I have not heard back from them. Any questions or advice on what we can do, please let me know.

Like everyone here has stated, they sucked $10,000 out of me with their twisted words over the phone, only reading the contract I signed that basically says what they say they will do over the phone is void by signing the form. High pressure sales and they use your high expectations of your idea to get the money out of you.

I sent all my drawings and a lot of money and all I got was one phone call a month asking me to be patient. To this day I don't think they approached anyone on my behalf.

I submitted an idea for a product. Gave a rough sketch and specifics of my design. They redesigned it and after paying them $14,000 when I challenged them on their redesign of my product that mirrored something I saw on the Internet they assured me it was just to get in the door of mac sports. It can always be redesigned which of course they admitted would be at my expense.

Davidson tried hard to sign me up and pay the $650 to start. After review with the BBB (F rating) and google reviews (hundreds of bad), I started asking questions. At the end of the phone call today I told them to ** themselves and the reply were quite funny. They told me, "Thanks for the idea," and I told them never to call me back and they stated they would keep calling me. After hanging up, I received another call within 30 seconds, telling me to make sure I send in the contract and to put my credit card number on it. The scam is...you keep paying and they never will do anything with your idea. Hopefully this will help the next guy out. PS...research this company before you give them a dime.

Signed up with Davison and everything seemed normal for a few weeks. They sent the pre-development disk which was 100 generic. Stuff on any website. The initial funding was for initial review patent search, etc. What I received was an internet search for competing products and not a patent search. I had already done this online weeks before. I asked for the patent search I was promised and I was arguing for 30" to get them to agree to send it. I don't believe they ever did it until I forced the issue. I had sent them all the packaging complete and finished products and never heard back from them again until I emailed them three or four times.

I used this company and I feel that they saw me coming. The company that they proposed my invention to had nothing to do with what my invention pertains to when in your own mind you feel that a bank would be interested. They proposed the idea to a company that sells swords and helicopters etc. Do a ton of research first, but do it yourself. I'll never hire them again!

The company told me that in order for them to review my new product and make a prototype in order to show the possible manufacturer, they only need it a One Time Deposit of $14,000.00 upfront. And once we all agree on the Best Selling product? They would work day and night to get me an interested manufacturer to work with me, without any further cash coming from me. Now, after I gave you my life savings, you're asking me for more money, which makes your company Very Sad and very Selfish. Please help me with my only cash investment I had.

Davison failed to produce invention. Davison charged for repackaging, but never repackaged anything. Davison said they would show product to Manufacturing but never showed anything. Davison charged approximately $12,000.00 for services, then did nothing. Davison said they sent out product to Manufactures but only sent out virtual or concept rendering. Davison said manufactures was still in reviewing process but was found to be lying. Contact with Manufactures proved that Davison did not send anything to Manufactures that they wanted to receive, Manufactures wanted ready-made products not ideas to walk thru the process to retail sales. What the Manufactures once again is products ready for market sales.

I have just read through many of the complaints and wanted to tell all of you thank very much. Like all of you, I thought my idea was the next big thing and gave them my account information to pull their first amount. This next part I am not proud of, but I didn't have sufficient funds and Chris immediately called me back to let me know and I said to give me a couple days. Luckily my wife found this site and I am sick to my stomach and feel so sorry for all of you but want to tell you thanks for helping me right this wrong. THANK YOU!!!!!

230+ complaints in last 3 years, 200+ complaints regarding Products/Services, what has to be done to end this madness? This company has been in trouble in the past for what seems to be the same types of issues still going on today. See attached letters/pictures to their President & Licensing Coordinator.

We contacted Davison with an idea for an invention. We had tried another company and should have learned a lesson from that, but sadly, no. We had diagrams, a patent pending and a lovely prototype. They asked us to send all of that to them along with a large check and the requests for checks kept coming along with the promise that everything was looking awesome and we should be on our way to seeing it on the market soon. The salesman we dealt with was very personable, persuasive and kept in constant touch with us. They had to produce a sales video and some slick brochures. When that was all done, they turned us over to the marketing department.

I was considering Davison to help with my patented product, in a search for licensing opportunities. They stated that regardless of the status they would have to do a patent search, etc. for a fee. I told them that I would not pay for something that was already done by a reputable attorney. I asked them to withdraw my request, which I am told they did, about 2 months ago. Today, I got a call from them with the same request. Trying to rationalize this with them, she just hung up. Professional - not. After looking for reviews on Davison, I see all the litigation against them. I feel I am fortunate for not using them as my "partner." Check out any invention assistance organization before engaging with them and potentially losing your money. There are many articles written about the process of finding your "partner."

In 2013 I sent my idea to the US patent office. Davison contacted me via email, asking if I had an idea I would like to submit. I filled out the short form with my idea and received a phone call the same day. I mailed them a check for the $1,000 they said they needed, and after the check cleared I then received their proposal showing the total of $10,000 for marketing and targeting companies. I began paying $150 per month and have paid over $2,000 to them. My son began to research this company online recently and showed me all the hundreds of complaints. I emailed the person in charge of marketing and design and told her I was not going to do business with a company that cheats people and that I wanted all my money refunded. They have not done a Damn thing with my idea. I will let everyone know if I get anything.

My project was Good boy (instead, good dog) multi use harness. This was four year ago. I even went to Pittsburgh PA, meet Davison associates...this is after I paid them close to twelve Thousand. That a lot of money for Failure. In Davison Business, but Inventor's was liability, because an presentation to manufacturers, to paid $385.00 an shot, they presentation & meeting, if they passes product (that you paid License fee to patent, $120.00). My opinion of this Rip-off, con artist, get rich at anybody -- well it's just for Good idea. Sometimes it's smart to put on your seatbelts, save an life, no matter if it your pet. But these people get fifteen percent if everything goes on schedule, but fail!

I filled out their form and submitted one of my ideas, I was then sent an e-mail saying that I should call Ellen **, director of new products. However, when I realized that her direct number was a 1-800 I already smelled the scam since the international number was with an American are code; Anywho some guy offered me some gift cards, I said I don't want any gift cards, I want to speak with Mrs. **. After insisting, I accepted but once he ask me for my credit card info. I was done. This is to me a scam, that sometimes is run out of the country for what U.S. won't take action, I think.

So far they have taken $600 and just now are asking me to sign a contract for a product sample and to develop it. Costing 10,000. But I have to get the provisional patent application. They also want 5-20% of the royalties but it’s not the net royalties. It’s the revenues it looks like before cost. So I am just on this site trying to see my best options. If I should just walk away or discuss this with another company first. I have my accountant looking at it and one thing he said was to incorporate the product first so Davison cannot go after me personally. Thank you. Any more info about this company or more reputable ones is greatly appreciated.

I had a product, had it made in china and shipped to me. I seen Davison online and contacted them. I sent them the product and the flyers that I had made. Davison called me back and you know the line, they had three co. interested. One was Senco. I had to pay them $795.00 to get started when all was said and done, I paid them a total of $7000,00. They sent us a picture of the packing in red for Senco. Then told me that Senco was not interested at this time. Then they informed me that it would cost me $385.00 every time they showed to another co. It has 1 year and have never heard a word since then. I wish I would seen the reviews before I sent them my $7000.00. We all need to get together for a class action law suit.

In 2011 I sent Davison $1000 to do a patent search on my idea. My idea was a breatherlyser with an electronic reading for use in the health and sports medical fields. It was a design for a personal breatherlyser to put on your key chain. Davison then asked me for a further $5000 for research so I could get a prototype made. I now had paid Davison $6000. Davison sent me a picture of the design they had spent $5000 designing. It is a blue plastic cup that you drink out of, it has a notch on the side to count how many cups of water you have drunk.

Like several others we contracted with Davison to help develops our invention. After 10k+ we received our prototype. It was a terrible attempt at a prototype that was not in package form as agreed upon. Also, the paperwork stated if we were not satisfied with the prototype we could request another one. Since then I have sent emails with no response and phone calls with no response. This company is a fraudulent business that needs to be prosecuted and shut down! They will take your money and not be honest to at all! In fact after researching them I found numerous complaints of the same thing we have experienced. They were also squid and lost the suit for the same issues.

I was browsing the internet, minding my business, when a pop-up asked if I had an idea for an invention. Off the top of my head, I texted that I'd appreciate left-handed measuring cups and utensils. Didn't anything of it. Wow, I received ph. call after ph. call. Finally I took the bait. They were very insistent that I had the greatest idea since toast. It was flattering at first, but they wanted money up front. I'm a grandma raising grandkids on a very fixed income. I figured if they thought it was a great idea, Davison would put initial fees themselves. Then I started researching their credentials and I found all of these complaints. I told them today what I had found and Brian ** politely ended the call. I want to thank all the people whose comments helped me nip this weed. There should be a law about companies that prey on innocent people.

Sounds too good to be true, right? They take my idea and make us both lots of money, right? WRONG. They do make lots of money, they just don't make YOU lots of money. Before you think about getting into bed with this con-artistry, sneaky company, ask them one question: "What percentage of your customers have made an overall profit?" Meaning, what percentage of your customers actually made more money than what they gave to Davison. I forget the actual number, but it was under 1%. I think they were part of a lawsuit and had to have that on their website for a while, but I can't find it anymore.

I submitted my idea back in September. Pd the full amount to have it developed. It took 8 weeks to get the prototype and I was not happy!! The prototype did not in any way represent the drawings or the description that was presented. The rep that contacts me tried to tell me that it was exactly as the drawing and description were presented. My idea is now 27 years on a shelf only to be taken and misconstrued. I will be glad to join the class action when/if that happens. Unless they make enormous changes in the prototype, I will continue to be sceptical and unhappy.

I have been working with this Company for months and just did my homework and saw that there are Many questions I need to ask come Jan 2 and when they call me again. I received a Design pic from them last week and it looks like a Very primitive computer art work. When I said something He told me that was just the 1st pic but I was told it would look to scale and just like the real product, sure. I have spent a lot of money on this and after reading some reviews I am starting to think that I have been taken. I will talk to them Jan 2nd 2015 and I will be asking for a progress report. There will be no more money until I am satisfied that they are doing me right. Or, I will be interested in joining a class action suit.

I wanted to know if anyone on these reviews received their money back from paying Davison the fees they wanted to start your idea? I invested a lot in my idea but heard nothing on the sale of my idea!

This troll asks for your idea. They make it sound like you have the next Big Winner in inventions. Except they want an initial fee for research. Then a huge fee to draft blueprints and such. But wait, there's more. It now has to be marketed. Guess who pays for the efforts to tailor the pitch to each company? Yep, you! I found that they often pitched my idea to companies they had submitted to before, but had NEVER sold even ONE idea to that company! Their communication is also iffy.

In Nov. 2013, my partner and I came up with an idea for another cat toy. We had contacted Davison one year prior, spent about 700.00 and decided not to go any further. This time however, we thought perhaps with our second idea we could swing the higher price. The presentation tape in 2012 was fairly professional but we were not prepared. In 2013, for 750.00 they sent a poorly done patent search tape with products they gave the Davison logo to but were created by other companies. The other sales pitch tapes were copies of 2012's. I was encouraged to use their email portal, the same one used to sign documents and to look at blogs and Davison products, etc. The sales Rep was rushing me to sign the 12,000.00 contract and at the same time seemed suspicious as to why I came back! He asked numerous times.

I submitted an idea online, but was very vague about the details. I received NUMEROUS calls from this company so I finally answered. He scheduled a call for the next day and sent me a video to watch. Something seemed off to me about this guy in the video so I looked this site up and found all these complaints, which is what I was scared about. "Chris" called the next morning right on time and right away wanted details of my idea. I stopped him to ask what would prevent them from stealing my idea. He told me that the box I checked online would protect me. I asked how that would protect me? They didn't sign a confidentiality agreement. He didn't have an answer. So I asked him about all these reviews of people paying thousands of dollars and not even receiving their prototypes after being turned down, he became defensive and wanted to know where I read the reviews, and asked if we should end the call now. I replied that I just asked a question and wanted an answer. He then asked me if he had done something to me. Are you kidding me??? If they are truly professional and trying to help me, why would my asking questions to protect myself make him so defensive??? I told them never to contact me again and hung up. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! PATENT YOUR IDEA YOURSELF!!!

I paid almost 800 dollars to join this company... only to find out they wanted another 10000 dollars to patent my idea. I'm a single mom and coming up with the initial money was almost impossible only to find out that they would want more money later. They did not disclose this in the beginning. I want my money back!!!

Spent thousands of dollars, only to be kept in the dark. You start with Jessica **, then you get transferred to someone else, then someone else. All the while being told going well, going well. Then you’re told going to present product, and the date they give is false, then the call comes in, "Oh we presented the product already and for more money they can go further". DO NOT be a FOOL like me!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM.

I had gone on the internet, I discovered this company. I was called a couple of weeks later. I was told I had a great idea. Then came the money, I had to come up with 795.00 to get started. I told the gentlemen I wasn't working, and had no income. Then I could go on a payment plan. I was then contacted once a month to see if I could come up with the rest of the money. My reply was that I can only give what I am giving. Then this gentleman wanted me to come up with the other 3000.00 so it could move forward for the presentation. They were going to present this to a company that had 31 presentations and no acceptances. I was assured my product was different. I got an email that this company turned it down. NO SURPRISE!! I was then contacted that they had another company that they would present to that also had a 0 batting average. They wanted another 385.00. I was totally disgusted. I refuse to give them anymore money. I have 9000.00 invested and have nothing to show for it.

I've been getting calls for about 6 months. I was hesitant when they first called because I did my research, reading reviews etc. I don't have $795 to submit my idea. I received another call today and of course Nate, Davison associate, said we have financing options and the like. I was honest with him about my hesitation. When he said I'm going to send you some information I said is this going to cost me any money? He said the email? I said yes. He said no. I said "good I want to make sure you saying no was recorded." Mysteriously he couldn't hear me anymore and he hung up. He called me right back to set up another phone call. I set one up, but I'm really nervous now about using them. Will they steal my idea if I say no?

My father inquired with this company. We were advised he had a great idea and they needed 695 to go forward. They would do the patent search; then they would seek a company to present it to. We got a DVD and CD, several calls that excited my father about his invention and a patent search I could have done on Google. They ‘targeted’ a company. We got a letter with options of 10,000 to 14,000 they needed for the ‘development stage’. I told my father we weren't giving them anymore money. I looked on here and came to the conclusion these people are taking people's money! I thought we have given them 700 for nothing. Like so many on this page it was hard for my father to get that money... We were completely taken advantage of. Please don't give away your money!!!

My name is Jim. I, like most of you, have a dream. I have already payed 795.00 to these????? And a additional 1000.00. A certain person calls me every day wanting more money. But when I ask did the 795 get me a patient or a search he gets real short and keeps mentioning the stages and how his team is going to build this three dimensional program of my product once we receive the 14000.00 dollars to present my product. I don't know about all you inventors out there but I should have put two and two together when he said they had presented this company four times and been unsuccessful and you would figure putting up 14,000 dollars for your invention would get you somewhere. But sounds like most of us are naive and just let it be because in the end we just ? *>~}, but I am very motivated and I think something should be done about these phonies. I would love some more input.

I submitted my idea with Davison Inventions about 2 years ago. I stated my idea with the Davison employee. He called me for a year straight, convincing me of what a great idea I had that they can bring to life. $13000 Dollars later I got one booklet, two DVDs. One month ago I got a call my product was turned down. No more calls since. Insisting they need more money, and yet I have no answers or call backs. I am looking to get my money back, then I will be satisfied.

The first step was to pay for a prior art search and this would cost me $1700, which I paid for. By paying this I was led to believe that I would have a provisional patent. I received no patent, only a poorly done prior art search that was less than what I had already done. They now wanted $10,000 for packaging design. This made no sense because my invention was industrial and like tools do not have such packaging. I wouldn't pay the $10,000 so they longer had any desire to communicate with me. The problem is that I left them my working prototype. They assured me that they would ship it back to me. I've sent them emails asking for my prototype to be returned but they are not responding to me.

Well, I contacted them because I saw it on TV. I felt like I could trust them. I kinda tell them what my idea was about and how I want to create it. Big mistake. That was my first idea. So I didn't know the proper way to go about it. Someone call me from their company and give me a price that was just too much for me to start. So I started saving the money so I can call them back. Six months later my idea was selling on a TV commercial. I was piss mad, angry and disappointed. I felt hurt and taken advantage of. If I was you I would do my homework before trusting this people. What a disappointment they turn out to be. I think that I completely trusted this people. Well, I learn my lesson.

Called with idea. Sent me video. Watched. It was nothing informative, just an ad for how great they are. Paris called me, told me how great my idea was, tried to get money out of me. Said needed to watch their Disneyland factory video. What? They tell me their factory is like Disneyland. Yeah that gave me confidence. My product didn't need a warehouse. Or to be built. Paris told me how they would market my idea. By not sending it to a car company?! Huh? My product had nothing to do with a car, I already know that. So I ask, "What companies are you going to send it to that have to do with my product?" He said he didn't have that information. Well I said that would be the information I would want to hear.

Problem has been resolved through a mutual understanding. Integrated rendering is not the same as an actual product design or replica. And people can be misformed by not fully understanding what the integrated rendering is all about. I still trust Davisons even after studying reviews because people can sometimes misrepresent what the companies intentions is all about. Davisons explains printed in black and white what they are all about.

I haven't been scammed by these companies because I was warned about the potential scam of these companies. At first as a beginner in dealing with these things I came close to being scammed by them. They did not ask for any fee at first. Just a submission of my idea. I submitted it to them and they told me it was great. They told me a lot of good things about my idea and suggested a fee at the ending of our conversation over the phone. If you are an aspiring inventor or current inventor my advice is never share your idea with anyone over the phone and if you really want anyone to present your idea for you, hire a professional lawyer, not someone from an invention company. But the best way would be to present the idea to a company yourself since no one knows the invention as well as you, the inventor. Before going into the invention process first educate yourself about it from people who have been through it and who have a lot of wisdom and advice on this topic. Join a local inventor's group and share experiences with others on the same path. Me as an aspiring inventor am planning to do the invention process on my own. That way I save a lot of money. I am even hoping to sell my invention with a group of selected people over ebay.

About a year and a half ago I submitted an idea for slippers for kids that would light up with LED lights at night so they could walk safely from their bedroom to the kitchen/bathroom without having to cut on every light in the house. Anyway about a year and a half ago I submitted the idea to Davison. And I did not have the thousands of dollars they wanted to get started so I just held onto my idea thinking it would be safe. After all nobody knew except Davison and my immediate family. But lo and behold my daughter was online today and what pops up for sale? Yep. The idea I submitted. My slippers complete with LED lights. So word of warning, if you have an idea do not tell them because if you can't afford it, it will magically appear a year later as a finished, ready to be sold product. They are CROOKS!

Father had invention idea of a belt that people can snap on easy, stroke people etc., because hard to get into loop with one arm. They said good idea. They would sell it. We would collect a percentage. The more we gave them, higher percentage for us. We first gave them money and a fee to get it patent by patent company. Patent is approved. We give them like 7 or 8 thousand… they say belt will be engineered by them. And they tell father they will give him a copy of belt. They say they will contact companies - have one in mind.

DON'T GET CONNED BY THESE PEOPLE!!! !.They act really excited about your idea. All they want is $$$$$. They send you contract over internet, tell you to sign electronically. DO NOT SIGN!!!! BIG SCAM. I'M FROM Las Vegas. I was born at night BUT NOT LAST NITE!!!!!

I contacted them several months ago about my idea. After several Phone calls that were set up by someone (Jayme), (By the way I think some of these Names are fake) who I trusted but now I find she does not work there anymore. 3 Months I worked with her about my Idea, she also gained my trust. She told me I didn't have to worry about the whole amount of the Idea and Patent! That I can pay anything I want toward the $10,000.00 it would cost to Market my product.

The Davison company truly is a rip off. I submitted an outstanding idea to them for the initial price of $795. I paid this only to find out that there are many more hidden fees... Yeah, about 9 to 14 thousand dollars according to the rep who e-mailed me additional contracts. The funny thing is I specifically asked them in the beginning if there would be any more fees. I was assured there wouldn't be, huh! I am so disappointed. I am a student with minimal income and to top it off I’m caring for my sick wife who is fighting kidney disease. Yeah, I’m just so thankful that I read all the other complaints before I shelled out any more money I don t have. For all new comers I can truly say that the Davison co. truly is filled with sharp tongued slick talkers who are only interested in scamming you for your money!

In 2013 I was a rising junior at Lander University in Greenwood, SC. In which I came up with an invention called the Thermal Plex. Was used as a under amour fabric used to hold icy/hot insulator to relieve muscle tension. They stole all my work. If you look at the emails for yourself with their contact info, Mr. ** stated the military and professional players and healthcare field will all be altered by this modern technological inventions. You could use the insulated fabric on any external body part where tension is build up. My organic chemistry Dr. Lisa ** came up with the synthesis in fabric. I refined my life around this invention when I got a phone call stating Davison heard about my invention and are interested. Attached to this document are 3 confirmation emails with conspiracy written all over it.

I was contacted by a women - spoke very upbeat and excited about my invention. She tried very hard to find a connection on a personal level with me. Did not work. She asked for 795.00 and for me to watch videos she will email me, said she would call today at 8:30. She did, I told her I did not watch all videos she sent me, my husband and I had more questions and demanded things in writing. She got very controlling, bullying and demanded that I watch videos and we would meet up same time tomorrow. I said no, next week, I would be researching their company more, watch videos, she blew up on phone and hung up.

I heard about Davison.com from TV before 2 months. I was so happy to find "finally" who will create my Idea. I went to Davison.com and I sent my Idea "and they promise to call me within 3 days." After 2 days they called me with some questions about my Idea and when we finished from our conversation he promise to call me back again after few days for discussion again around that idea and he was asking to send any design or pictures for my idea through email to learn more about it. I was very happy because they are interesting "as what I saw in that moment" and after few days he called again and in the last of calling he asked to check my email.

Entered into an agreement with Davison [ submitted my invention ]. Expected to pay small fee. Was asked for $$700.00 plus. Was somewhat led to believe this to be total. After about 4-5 weeks of weekly phone discussions, was sent a letter by Mr. Davison asking additional retainer fees of $12-$14,000. Keep in mind they had not mentioned potential fees to this point. Being on fixed income, this was impossible. I'm out $700. plus, very difficult for me to make up. At very least, they were misleading. Asked for a refund, or part of, and was told, No! Believe I should have some recourse.

I was encouraged with my idea. The gentleman kept telling me this was such a good idea and I needed to invest another $4,850.00 plus the $1,000.00 l already invested plus other fees to get this thing through the system. I agreed and put that amount on my poor mother's credit because he said they would get to the proper people for marketing. With calls and emails back and forth and a filing report with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, they changed my design completely but sent it a company. I was then contacted to pay another $2,495.00 for an Inventomercial product. It was turned over to marketing to another person (whom I will not mention) That was very rude and never available to speak with that said the company did not accept my idea. I have called several times to reach out to the original person and he said he would try and help.

I recently went to this company and was told the same thing as everyone else. That I would have to put 795.00 for search fees. The person I talked to said that he would call back in a couple weeks. He did and now the fee was dropped to 695.00 and since I didn't have any money, I could send them 100.00. Well I only had part of it so I sent 50.00 to 'hold' my idea. The next day, I went online here to check reviews and I'm glad I did! I sent an email to the person that kept calling me that I was no longer interested and I would like my 50.00 back. I know it's not as much as some people here that have lost a fortune with this company and my heart goes out to everyone who has lost anything on a fraud. Well, that was a week ago, I haven't heard anything from him or the company so I guess I can kiss my 50.00 goodbye.

My family came to give a product idea. They ask for $795.00 for the prototype and now just 2 days ago they wanted 11,129 just to bring it up to a company. The agreement was $795.00. That's it, nothing more nothing less. I am so upset my family is going through a hard time.

I sent Davison a large sum of money and a prototype and was told that my invention was a go and that a company called World of Wonders had picked it up and was taking it to market and John ** told me it would be a hit. Then he said, 'Send me 2500.00 more dollars for a presentation video so we could air your product.' Nothing happened. Then some woman calls me and says I have been dropped.

I also filled in an online form at Davison's site about two different ideas that I had at the time. I also received a call from one of their reps. We discussed the ideas in detail, was assured that for a max of $2,500, I would have working prototype of one. He picked the one and pocketed the other. It became the "windshield wonder". I believed a confidentiality agreement bound us, from what I had read in the info they give supported by the reps reassurances. Misunderstood.

I too echo and share everyone's pain. Although I only "gave" the initial $795, it still put me in a worse bind that I was already in financially. I recently talked to my "contact" from Davison to discuss the "royalties" and I started getting very suspicious. As we talked, it sounded more like she was trying to sell me some insurance or something. I noticed that her voice went from very enthusiastic and cheerful to demanding and patronizing. I really don't like to be given ultimatums and like everyone else, I don't like to be cheated out of my hard-earned money, and this is exactly what I felt like she was trying to do the more we talked.

It took me almost 4 years to have enough money to do this and they took my $10,000!!! I'm so upset. I don't understand. They won't even return my calls!!! How can they do this to hard working people who have put their trust and faith in them? Can someone help me!?

My initial response is that inventing is a risky thing. I have 5 products that I've developed and brought onto the market. All sold and all were eventually knocked off by other manufacturers. It's the nature of the game. I've been through Davison's initial $695 bit and have to say it was a little disappointing in its substance. I think that most of it was to protect themselves and they were upfront about that. The Product I have brought to them has already been manufactured so I'm looking to re-manufacture it and find new retailers. I've read the complaints and some of them make me suspicious of Davison, but others... the majority seem to be the same complaint written by different people with the same misconception of how the inventing process works. They are a fee based service. They won't tell you your product is going to be a success or failure. They will try to sell you their services. I'll update this site as I move forward.

Davison sent me a letter and that they can someone to buy my invention. When I called, it was a new tune - nothing - and they said they could not give my money back so I lost $795 just for a video. I hope some will get a lawyer and help me. I will not deal with them, They lie to the bone. I'm sad that my invention won't go to the main stage. They kept on saying they will produce my invention but nothing happened. Help, help, help!!!!

About 5 years ago, I drafted and sketched out an idea that would bring great excitement to adults, something new, something different, something original. Then I went online and saw information on Davison's Inventions website. I filled out my information, and a couple days later I was contacted by one of Davison's representatives who seemed very interested in my idea long before we ended our conversation on my idea. Then the calls kept coming daily. I was excited and didn't think anything suspicious. Then more questions about my idea, questions about if I had a lawyer, or if I already had a pattern design worked out. Still I didn't think anything of it - still excited being that I was new to the invention platform. Now, I see my invention passing me in the streets every day. It's the 3-wheel motor cycles. I was sent a certificate from the Davison Company with the original name of the motor bikes on it, and in pursuit to find my justice because it's wrong. Very wrong for a company to make fools of so many people who trust and share very creative and life changing ideas that would move the world forward to enjoy and experience change from its original creators. I have my certificate from the Davison company, and I intend to prove what is rightfully mine originally.

I recently contracted with Davison, only for the first $695. I won't continue doing business with them and here is why:

I got caught up in the hype too and have been trying to escalate my issues since. The short of it is that they are a company that makes money on people who buy into their pitch and lies. My rep, Anthony **, never wanted to do anything in writing - all communications were phone calls that then became phone calls asking for more money when I had yet to see a thing that they had committed to. I escalated the issue and received a call from Sean ** - who challenged my faith, repeatedly mocked me and then wouldn't help with getting to their CEO. This company should not be in business - it's a all a scam and I am taking it to the media immediately - I'm still shocked at how rudely I was treated and that I was basically told to take a hike.

I have an idea for a product. I saw a lot of comments that are bad about Davison. I read the contract - states that I send $795. It also states they receive 10% royalties. Also I be responsible for cost developing products. What does Davison exactly do? Skeptical now. Please help.

I have started a process with Davison and have been questioning this ever since I began. I paid the $695 required to start and now they are asking for as much as possibly $1240 to continue. I don't have this kind of money. So in search of my answer, I have found this site. Now that I have read more about the company and the problems others have had, I've made up my mind to LEAVE THEM ALONE. I also saw where the Federal Trade Commission sued them. This is, of course, a huge Red Flag. I'm going to look into this further, but in the meantime, I'm not going to do anymore with them. Thanks for the information I've found out.

My experience with Davison was a REAL RIP OFF/FRAUD. After I made my payment of $695.00 things started to look nice and professional. Meanwhile, they bombarded me with a lot of paper information and CDs for me to watch. Everything looked nice until, I received the "NEW PRODUCT SAMPLE AGREEMENT" that explained the "RETAINER AND ROYALTY" agreement. There were four options that I could choose from: Option 1: $165.000 U.S. dollar per hour expenses. Option 2: $14600 U.S. dollars. Option 3: $12600 U.S. dollars and a 5% royalty assigned to Davison. Option 4: $10600 U.S. dollars and a 10% royalty assigned to Davison. When I saw those numbers I felt impotent because those payment were insane and because I had given them $695.00 that I collected over the period of one year, working in a restaurant where I had to deal with nasty and unhappy people. I felt very bad about what I have just done. I was never told that at one point I was going to have to come up with more money out of my pocket. But well, that's their hook to get at least $695.00 from the client.

I had an idea and submitted it to Davison company and they loved it. I even hand delivered a working prototype to their offices. They spent most of the $10,000 I sent them to make a very poor replica of my invention and a packaging plan for the market. I was told that a large company was looking to buy my product. I've invested over $10,000 dollars in my product, making payments from Oct. 07 to Jan 11, and all I got was a very generic patent, but no sales. No more updates, just, "Would you like for us to go after another manufacturer to produce your invention? We need more money, about 375.00 to talk to another manufacturer." Now the updates, phones calls and emails have stopped. I am in limbo. Does their contract forbid me from showing my invention to others without violating some hold they have over my invention?

I have contacted Davison with my idea as well. This is not a scam. With that said, it is a risk. Let me help to break things down for you all. Maybe a little insight to how the real world works. Patents and or provisional patents are only as good as your lawyer. Legal Zoom can give you a provisional for about $250. If you don't have drawings, add another $150. So there is $400. Yes, you can run a check on 20-year patents to see if your idea is already protected for no cost and you should before you do anything. BUT YOU DON'T NEED A PATENT, to have a successful idea. Look at a lot of products on the market. They will say right on them - Patent Pending.

I contacted them and they were very much calling me for 3 days straight and I ask for a contract and specifically asked to have it mailed to me for a disclosure review of the contract and the pages of said contract was going to be notarized and return back to them after I had the lawyers take a look their proposal. Anyways they canceled the moment I said notary and the pages were going to be counted and they would could and never split a few here and there in the future. I worked for Verizon and the frauds of signatures on the computer are out of your level of cohesiveness. Investigations of said missing papers, folks blaming the internet or the providers' servers. Well it was all investigated and they lose because there is a copy of the original page count.

I contact Davison idea company to make a waffle maker. They told me they could make my idea and told me that all I had to pay was $795.00 to make my idea then they was doing background work which took 3 months to do. Then after that they wanted more money so I ask them what was the $795.00 for and they said it was for background work. They charge me for background work which I did before coming to their company on the patent website which is free. That is fraud. I want to try and take them to small claims court. First of all, I just want to say I am so, so sorry for all of you who lost so much to this seemingly, worthless company. I actually had tears in my eyes as I read some of the reviews. My heart and very best wishes go out to each and every one of you. I pray that somehow they are forced to make things right with you and you get your money back. I too submitted my idea to them, but thankfully, I've only given them $100. I am on disability and barely surviving myself. I've been waiting for my installment from my backpay from SSI to send Davison the other $695 or whatever it is they want.

Do not sign up with this company! They are a scam. Nearly $10,000.00 was taken from us DURING the court process of the 26M lawsuit and settlement. It means nothing to them to take advantage of people. If there is ever class action, yes.. add us!

I called Davidson Company and submitted my idea. They seemed like they loved the idea. Mr. ** kept calling like he was interested in my idea. He said I had to send them 100 dollars right away but I told I didn't have it. I tried calling him to let him know that I will have my money next week. Marcus ** did not answer my phone call nor did he call back. The money that you spent on scams like this, you can't get a lawyer to patent your idea.

Just letting everyone know that after reading reviews here, I asked for my initial payment back of $695.00 and I received it back the next day! The president of company called me to find out why I was asking for a refund and told him. Review complaints, bad attitude from his guy when he was talking to me when he found out I changed my mind, and talking over me and not listening, but the president/manager was very nice and courteous to me!

I was scammed by Davison with a hope and dream that they were for real but they weren't. They had me fooled just like a lot of these people. Hope we can get some of our money back and they can be stopped like a lot of other companies that feed you a bunch of bull that you fall for and they take money from hard working people like myself. Hope I can get a little of my money back. Was told by a lawyer I have nothing damn near ten grand worth of nothing. I know there’s a lot of you that have been scammed out of more than that. Hopefully we will all be paid back a little of what we lost. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone. Good luck. Let’s turn this bad thing into something good.

I just became a new client with Davison. I made payment arrangements with them and only paid one payment so far. I am glad I came across these reviews. I will not be doing any more business with them. It is heartbreaking to know that this company is a fraud because they really got my hopes up. I was looking forward to making a lot of money on my idea. If anyone knows where I can get started and knows of a legit company please let me know. I still want to move forward with this just not with Davison.

The Davison Company called us and told us that they could make our invention. The only thing they did was take $7,000 and leave us without anything unless we wanted to pay an additional $6,000. They said they would submit our idea to several people. They submitted to one and then wanted more money. I truly believe they did nothing more than make some phone calls and pay themselves for nothing. They are indeed a rip off company.

My experience was much like everyone who got jipped. But the thing is I did this back in 07, with breaks in between accumulating money to get my idea/product into the market. It took me at least till 2010 to finalize everything. I used my families tax returns, two years of unemployment and kept working to invest in the targeted corporations they make presentation to. With the first targeted corporation payed for from the completed project, I did an additional payment of 385.00 for the next targeted corporation and failed to meet the clientele of those corporations. Losing my cool I felt mislead and began to try and come to reason with them, so they offered to do an additional 2 more presentation (but not at the same time), given the months needed to wait for a response which was months at a time but they wouldn't call in between to touch bases like how they did asking for more money to move to the next stage(s).

I started with Davison to pay for my product on November 15, 2010. Paid the initial payment of $745.00 by May 27, 2011. Signed contract for New Product Sample and started payments on August 11, 2011 of $50.00 every two weeks through September 2012. I then upped the ante to $75.00 to $125.00 until Jun 2013, totaling over $3,000. I've since become unemployed and no longer able to continue... I need money so I asked for a refund and was informed by their New Project Director that Davison is not a bank and therefore no refund! What should and can I do to recoup my $3,000?

I did contact Davidson back in 2012. I had an over aggressive individual call me but I was prepared. I had went to the Patent office website which list 10 questions you should ask before signing with a invention company. I told the individual I will fax over my information (which was the 10 questions) and I never heard from them again. What I would suggest is you report your invitation to the IRS with monies paid out to Davidson! This will get their attention. I assure you! The last company I worked with before I became educated in the process of patenting your Idea! I list them on my taxes the next year as part of my business. They called ranting and raving trying to challenge the amount I submitted to the IRS. ALL OF YOU SHOULD REPORT THEM TO THE IRS!!!!!!!!!

How do I go about getting my money back from Davidson Inventions? I have read some real horror stories whereas Davidson Inventions is nothing but a scam. I'm on Social Security Disability, and I can't afford to be taken for a ride like the stories I have read. If you can be of any assistance, I would deeply appreciate it. I learned presently after 20 months and nearly $11000.00 that they were evasive and lied throughout the process. Mr. Vescio, "the president" has yet to return any of my 6 voice messages and a certified letter well over a month ago now. They need to be sued and shut down! I have legal counsel and a complaint with the Federal Trade Commissions.

Spoke to Davison about 18 months ago about a product I developed. They 'loved' it and spoke highly of the potential. I told them I would not pay anything upfront... after all they 'loved' it and I don't have too much money. I told them that I have heard so many scam stories about them I wanted them to prove to me that they were legit. Several phone calls over 2 weeks and still I refused to pay anything... our relationship seemed to end.

I had first sent $795 and got drawings of other peoples. Then they sent me another contract stating I had to pay $8770.00. I ended up paying $2000 towards that. They had my hopes up on my invention having a good chance in making it. They kept emailing me other people's inventions. They were supposed to refund the $2000, because they were supposed to send me DVDS and the contract for an ungodly amount to pay the $8770. The date on the contract to opt out was the date they were supposed to send it. I had got it emailed to me May 7, 2014, which should make it in effect then. I dated the form for May 12,2014. I kept trying to fax it to them and I figured they had got it cause Ralph, the one I had always talked, never called to say they didn't get it.

I started with Davison years ago with submitting my idea and hoping to get to market with it. I started out with making small payments and I borrowed the rest. Out of 10,000, it only paid for one presentation - if any was actually done. I bit the bullet and paid for another. The very last one she told me that the company liked my idea but didn't buy into it. I recently called and ask for my prototype to be shipped to me. I received a call back telling me to call to discuss your product. I kinda knew something was wishy-washy about this company from day one. But, I had and have a wonderful selling product.

I trusted Davison to do what they said which was to present my product to companies. I didn't know that I would have to pay additional fees for each company they present to. I'm feeling my product is being suppressed purposely for more money.

Davidson was great at contacting me every week, pushing me for more money and their signed contract which I am leary of. My lawyer advised against this company; he says contract is too "open ended".

I am doing business with Davison right now and I'm very grateful for all this information! Please anyone let me know if we all plan to file a class action suit! Because after hearing all of this, I think I'm being scammed too!

In 2013, I engaged Davison's to process and develop my idea from concept to market. My experience echoes that of many others. I am totally gutted by the way I have been treated by this company. I am down the chute to the tune of $10,000 Au. I designed and made working prototypes and shipped them to Davison's. These were working, ready to go items x 3 various sizes. All I have to show for my efforts are a US patent.

I submitted my idea in 2011. Months prior, I saw a story on CBS news about this successful woman who had her idea of a meatball rack taken from an idea to the market. She did it all through Inventionland, a Company owned by Davison. It was portrayed as a wonderful Company with people that were experts in developing an idea into a product and taking it to the marketplace. The CBS story went behind the walls of the Inventionland business and it looked like a Disneyland for entrepreneurs. Over a 2 year period, I paid the Davison Company around $7,000. I stopped before sending the last $3,000 development fee they wanted.

Davison invention land stole $11000 from me. Said they would get my invention to market. Took 3 years of lies and in the end I asked for the prototype and what I got was not what I paid for. It was incomplete and unusable Brittle and would never reach the market place. I contacted the FBI and so far I have received no reply as I live in the United Kingdom.

I started my idea in January 2013 and I contacted Davison to realize it. As usual, promises are enticing and unfortunately I have not seen the review before to alert me. I paid $795 to start and they said that my idea is very well (now, I am sure that they said the same thing to everybody). I sent by email, all the information about my idea - even the sketch of each part of my idea. I knew exactly what I wanted and I sent everything to allow them to work in the good way.

I first submitted an idea to Davison in July 2013, and got a response in August 2013. At first the frequent calls from the "Director of New Product" was more than exciting because it meant someone saw your vision and was willing to help you get your idea out into the world. I was told there was a "pre-development" fee and I could submit payments. So when I finally paid off the initial "pre-development" fee of $795.00 (with an $80 savings discount... Woohoo... sarcasm), I started getting less and less phone calls - but when the calls did come in, it was to ask me for more money... At first I put off a couple of the calls, but then I started to accept a few to chat and see where things were at, and believe me, I was not going to give up any more money because I keep coming back to those questions everyone has in the back of their mind - What was there to show for it? What did my pre-development money go towards?

I contacted Davison in May of 2010. I was then assigned to Mark ** who was my project manager. In speaking with Mark we discussed coverage's and cost in regards to pro-typing and production and etc.. At the end of this conversation with Mark which included product rendering my fee had come up to $12,000. After that process was completed I was then put in contact with Wilma who is in the Licensing department. Wilma and I discuss patenting my invention and we also discussed several companies that were interested in my invention. In the meantime I was contacted by Davison and was asked if I was interested in being in a reality show. Wow was I excited. I was contacted by someone name Meredith ** whom I had several conversation by phone and by Skype with in regards to the reality show. Meredith sent me a video camera to record myself discussing how I came up with the idea for my invention. Long story short that is how I ended up in the reality show.

I had an idea and submitted it to Davison company and they loved it. I was told that a large company, Dick's Sporting Goods, was looking to buy my product. I've invested about 10.000 dollars in my product and all I got was my patent, but no sales. No more update just, "Would you like for us to go after another manufacturer to produce your invention? We need more money about 375.00 to have or talk to another manufacturer." Now the updates, phones calls has stop and no one is taking my calls.

I'm just on here for the first time to let everyone know that I am in the process of JUST finding out they are a scam. I was never told initially I had to pay other than the $795. Now it's a whole new ball game. I have no idea how to get this money back now.

I have been in unemployment for some time and while looking for a job, I found this guy offering help if you have an idea and they will make it into reality. I went to College in the Paralegal field so I used my resources, knowledge, and skills to find a good sum on this guy and I found so many red flags that it amazes me that he is still doing this scam. For those that lack the know-how I will give you my little report on this guy so you can make a choice if you still want to do business with him.

My idea is unprocessed and they have 795 dollars of my money. I got off cheap compared to the experiences of the others on this site, I got suspicious after they got the initial fee and asked for more money. I want to form a class action suit against them. They should not be allowed to continue to do this to honest people. My next step is to contact a lawyer.

I recently submitted an invention idea to the Davison company. Everything seemed great and wonderful until I read the reviews. When I was contacted again by JACK **, I told him I had no money to invest in the invention process. He never informed me that it would take tens of thousands of dollars to do what he was pushing me to do which would have been the morally correct thing to do when a person says they have NO MONEY!!! When I confronted him about it being a scam, he proceeded to tell me I was a low life. I was astonished and could not get a word in edgewise. I finally had to hang up in the middle of his condescending rant. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!

I read most of the comments and they are so relatable. From the first time I contacted Davidson about my idea from the $795 to the patent search to the unknown price for the development of the project, that could be anywhere between $10,000-$15,000 or more, depending on what comes up me not knowing better and deciding to do research on this company after I had already faxed and emailed sketches of my idea, also signing some electronic farm because I was sure I would be doing business with them. During my research, all that changed. This company has a real bad rep and what made my final decision not to go with them is when I notice that the FTC had sued them for misleading people, calling their company a scam. The FTC is a government Organization. That's who your complaints should be filed with not the BBB. I'm just glad I didn't give them any money and decided to do research. But I wish I would have done research before faxing my idea. When I informed the representative I was pulling out, he got real pissy with me and that sure helped me make up my mind.

They told me they found a buyer for my product, but when I paid $10,000 plus, then the violin came out and said that the company was not interested but send more money and we will market it to other clients.

I dealt with Davison first until my girlfriend had researched them on the Internet. She told me that they had been sued many times. I wanted to be sure so I checked out the BBB and they had a real bad review in their own state and didn't really even belong to the BBB. Talk about red flags! I brought this up with the Davison rep and he said that the BBB wasn't really important. So I played along for a short time. When they started asking for money, it was confusing. So much % on what they do and it kept changing. That was it! I went with another company and we will see what happens. So far so good. It can be a long process depending what your invention is. If it doesn't happen for me at least I tried.

I am not a man of very many words, so I will try to be thorough but brief. Like most of the others here I am a regular guy that had a flash of brilliance and a spark of hope. It was for me more like an epiphany. I knew that my product would sell but had no idea of what to do with it past the thought/drawing phase. Enter Davison. Same initial fees, then 11k later a sample and submissions at $385 a pop. Knowing there was risk and belief in you have to invest in your dreams, we borrowed from our savings (now depleted) to keep this thing going.
