    Conversational Receptionists answers our incoming calls. We had people in-house before. With Conversational Receptionists, we've been able to free up some resources internally. We've also been able to sort of get better customer service. Our callers tell us how great the receptionists are there and how ** our internal ones were. But it would be great if they could bill us in Canadian Dollars. That would be far more beneficial because we're in Canada. Also, if there was a way to properly network our systems together so that we didn't have to worry about caller ID, that would be ideal. Other than those, it's been great.

    The reviews in a Facebook group of other therapists made me look Conversational up. Conversational has the ability to record the messages and then email them to me so that I can just tap the button. That makes it more convenient. I didn’t have that option with the other answering service. The feature I really use is where they take the messages. Their customer service has been pretty responsive, too. Before, I had a virtual assistant but she was not answering calls live. With Conversational, it enables me to capture more callers who are calling into looking for something more immediate.

    I looked at some reviews and there were quite a few people who were recommending Conversational Receptionists over other companies. We went with the basic user where they answer and transcribe the message from the caller to us over email. I am satisfied with the level of service and everything we are receiving so far.     I looked online and compared different firms that offered receptionist services. I chose Conversational and since then, I've been letting them answer my calls. If it's important, then they forward it to me. However, when we started, there were some things with the phone number not working right. Even so, that was all ironed out very quickly. Additionally, sometimes the lag time in between connecting is a little longer than it needs to be. Nevertheless, I don't deal with spam calls anymore and Conversational has freed up a lot of my time.

    I had been using Ruby and it was phenomenally expensive as well as they weren’t following instructions. I was paying an arm and a leg and not getting what I wanted. I signed up online with Conversational and then I talked to somebody briefly over the phone for a follow up. They’ve done what I’ve asked them to do and for any issues that I have had, they have been resolved right away. I like the ease of price and I get what I pay for. I’ve been happy with Conversational and I would recommend them.

    The other company I used before is kicking Conversational's butt in a lot of ways as far as technology, infrastructure, having an app in place and giving me tons of information about each call. The other company is also friendlier. Conversational Receptionists could make appointments, but it is not worth losing clients for because they are not friendly and not really very helpful. So they should tell their receptionists to smile when they pick up the phone. That’s something they all should know. I’m sure they would be great for somebody else’s business but personally I was not satisfied with them.

    I used Liveanswer.com before and I thought I would get a good feel because they got a lot of technology on their website, but it’s lacking something. On the other hand, Conversational’s website had a smooth and streamlined look that enticed me about wanting to find out more. It looked very professional and I used the virtual assistant. Once the calls come in, they email and I’d checked them. It was very helpful in returning calls to my clients. I love how Conversational performed and helped us out in checking the messages that come in. They did an excellent job.

    I loved them to the point where I want to sign up and the rep I spoke with told me that there are some discounts, so it’s something I definitely wanna do.     A doctor that I work with found Conversational Receptionists online and he wanted me to check into it. From reading on their website, things looked pretty good and we thought we’d give it a try. It also helped that they have a month trial period. They handle incoming calls for new patients potentially calling in. It was difficult to get up at first though. We did a couple of test calls and a couple of the girls had botched it. They didn’t get the doctor’s name right and they couldn’t even pronounce the Scionti Prostate Center. We weren't past a few things, so I understood that there’d be a little bit of a start-up issue.

    One time when I called in and they answered the phone, I said that I was looking for more information and they said, “Nobody is here to help you at this point.” We don’t wanna hear that but we worked through it with one of the managers and that got straightened out. Still, I feel that they didn’t get trained properly upfront. We’ll do a couple other test calls just to make sure that everybody is on board. But, overall, Conversational is pretty good. With any type of call system like what they have, it takes a little while to learn certain things and that’s just part of it.

    Conversational has been wonderful and we love them. A friend of mine had recommended trying a receptionist service. We were gonna use Ruby Receptionists but then I saw Conversational and they had a 30-day free. We decided to give the 30-day a try, and we were super impressed with their service. With Conversational, we’re not losing calls like we were before. We were too busy to keep up. In our business, if we don’t answer the call right away, there are a hundred other pest control companies that are ready to take the call. By the time we call the customers back, they were already gone. We hired our own office person but we’re paying Conversational a quarter of the cost of what we’re paying to have someone actually live in an office answering phones. So, there’s a big financial difference.

    The Conversational team has been great. I don’t usually ever have to talk to them, which I like. I send them an email and ask them about some things. In one of the holidays, they’re open, we are closed and I wanna inform the customer that we wouldn’t be open. Within the hour, somebody from Conversational always responds back and they’ve already taken care of it. I like the detail when people call in and they make the emails simple. They have the caller name, their email, their specific directory and what they’re looking for.

    My customers’ feedback has been great. They love Conversational. When I talk to my customers, they tell me that they feel like that the people they talk to are in our office working and that they represent themselves as if they were one of our employees. I like that there are four or five different receptionists that stay with the calls. It’s not a new person all the time. I feel like they get more accustomed to what the customers may be asking for in our line of work. So, that helps too.

    I'm impressed with Conversational Receptionists. Everyone’s so friendly and on top of their game. They get our messages to us pretty quickly so we're happy.

    They take care of our after-hours calls. We used to have a problem with who it would get directed to, like it would be going to the wrong person but I haven’t seen that happen with these guys.

    Our clients seem happier because the messages are getting put through properly and we’re able to return calls more efficiently. I’m not hearing clients say, “I tried to call 10 times and we didn’t hear back." Moreover, the reps at Conversation were very pleasant and even humorous at times. We’ve gotten to know each other because of the quick conversations before they transfer the calls. They get me. There’s a good three or four reps that I know are pretty routine calling in and there’s also some new ones or some that I only get a little bit every now and then.     Conversational handles the phone calls for us and they also work with our schedules. They have our calendars and they have access if somebody calls and they need to schedule, adjust, or remove an appointment. We got a big window which is 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Any calls afterward go to an automated voicemail. So far, partnering with them has been great. Before we had them, my other partner and I tried to answer the phones and deal with callers, and at the same time, deal with everything else. Now, we know everyone who calls is gonna get a professional person on the phone. Conversational is gonna be able to direct the call appropriately. If they can’t get through to us, they'll put them in our voicemail. They email it to us.

    So far, we've had fantastic interactions with the Conversational team. We send them an email if we need them to call out and try to schedule an appointment with somebody. Other than that, we had a bit of a challenge getting our telephone number ported to them, because we had an unusual system before. We used an app called Sideline and we tried to figure out how were we gonna accomplish porting the number from Sideline over to Conversational. They were with us every step of the way. They helped us as much as they could as far as getting that port completed. They were great in helping us during the transition period.

    When I couldn't answer the phones, we needed somebody to be able to do my job, which is to learn the product line on my website and be able to answer any questions and do follow-up without me. So, we got Conversational Receptionists' service. At first, I really didn't know how they worked, but we used them for all the calls and follow-ups. Initially, we heard about Conversational in 2016 and we liked them because they are in Canada and our customers in the US really liked it. Conversational could understand our customers and their mindset.

    Their reps were really nice, always very professional, and friendly, which I really liked about them. They were able to close sales, too. It was cool that they were able to go to our website, look at our products, and answer questions about the products. They went the extra mile with the customers as well, which was really awesome, so we didn't lose sales. Plus, they did all the sales talking.

    As a phone answering company, Conversational was great. The only thing is that when they would send me an email, it took a day. And I stopped using them because they didn't really answer emails. We started the second company and we used Conversational when we first started up. But now, we've decided to let Conversational go and we've hired somebody to start answering calls and do my job.

    Conversational's reps were supposed to be part of our company and the customers would get upset if they didn't answer. Conversational's reps also sent me messages, but sometimes, the customers would get frustrated if they didn't understand that it was the app. I live in Thailand, so there is a time difference, and I can't be up in the middle of the night. I would log off at 12 AM my time and transfer over to Conversational, then I'd be asleep. If the customer had a question, I wouldn't get back to them until the next day in the morning. Also, I had one issue when our file wasn't updated and our customer was given incorrect information. When I finally spoke to them on the phone, they were really nice about it and apologized for the miscommunication. Despite all that, partnering with Conversational was great.

    I live in the Virgin Islands and I was trying to find the most cost-effective way for my business transferring calls. Google put me in touch with Conversational Receptionists and it has been very good ever since. They've been handling all my calls well and anything that I need. They updated everything as far as my cards like how I want things to be answered and they implemented things right away. I haven't had any issues on my end. Everything is smooth.

    They also screen calls. They give some information about the membership to people, how many events in one call and they could answer a simple question, and I don't have to attend to them. It helped me with more of my time. I could allocate my time into more important things than answering the calls or just mainly focus on the important calls. And It made my business look more like a unit and a well-rounded business and not too much like a one-man operation. It has overall been very nice and I would definitely recommend them.     I was familiar with Ruby Receptionists which was a name that was going around. Still, I found that Conversational's prices were more competitive and that they were a better fit. With them, I get the calls from the receptionist. They screen some calls. I requested that if courts, judges or a potential client was calling, that they go ahead and put them through. Otherwise, if it was an existing client or telemarketer, I requested the receptionist to put the call to email or voicemail.

    While I haven't received any comments or compliments from clients, the whole idea with me partnering up with Conversational was that it would look more professional and that it would be as if I had somebody at the office answering the phones even if I went out. Also, I don't have to pay for a full-time employee to do that.

    However, In my first month, Conversational had me at 94 minutes and I'm on a 100-minute package. I was surprised at how quickly I got to 94 minutes but have not exceeded that amount. Still, I got my recent bill and it was at my basic monthly bill. Having conversational has worked for me so far price-wise so I've been very happy.

    Conversational advertised that all of their receptionists are North American. Because we want our clients to feel like we are right here in the office, it's really important that it sounded like somebody was from our part of the country, and that's one of the reasons why I went with Conversational. Having them is helping us to make it seem like our office is open for longer than it is. We are in and out a lot and I don't want clients to feel like we're closing down when we're not on the phone. Anytime I need something changed, I've been able to send an email to them and they respond within an hour or so, and they immediately change the account. They're really responsive.

    I did a couple of test calls and the receptionist was very nice. There are no background waves, and it sounded like it was just somebody in our office. And if one person doesn't follow-up with me, usually there are at least two people that follow up, which is amazing. They'll do that at 7 o'clock at night, so they're a really good company. I haven't had Conversational for very long but I'm very impressed with them. They're extremely efficient, courteous and they get the job done, and the price is very reasonable.

    Having Conversational takes the phone off of our front desk person for now, especially if she has other things to do. It makes things easier for her 'cause it gets hectic over the front desk at my office. However, we noticed that they were forgetting to take messages or appointments. We had a new patient come in yesterday that never got messaged to us. I had another patient and she walked in unexpectedly when she said she had called earlier. But everything's been good so far.

    I got Conversational as a lot of the reviews about it in some of the sites I read were good. I got a reception option from them and they have the ability to transfer our voice mail, shoot us a ticket or route our calls appropriately. Since getting their service, it has definitely worked for me. It gave our business a better workflow of not being able to handle the calls and letting Conversational take care of that. Furthermore, they're quick to answer the questions I have and respond to any troubleshooting. We highly recommend them. Others should give them a shot to see if Conversational can help them out like they helped us.

    A few years ago, my company was using Call Ruby as our live answering company. But then, my operations director did an online search and found Conversational. Since subscribing to their service, we've been using it for 9:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday live answering. I've been very happy with the consistency and performance of Conversational. I've had clients call in and compliment us on how we answer our phone.     I use Conversational for 7:00 to 7:00 answering. They forward the call to me but then if I don't answer, they send me a message. Using their service has impacted my business in a very good way.     I did some cost comparisons between Ruby and Conversational. I also read some reviews and ended up going with Conversational. I use them exclusively to handle all incoming calls and to schedule all my consultations. Over the first month, there were about four little changes that I wanted to make to the script and to how they were handling things. They got back to me super fast and implemented everything that I wanted right away. It was great. I love them. Conversational afforded me the ability to time block a little bit better because I'm not handling incoming calls. I'd highly recommend them.

    I use Conversational's virtual assistance and after-hour answering, depending on our needs. It works especially if we’re away from the desk or out of town so we’re not missing any calls. It works great and their customer service is great. However, they can’t close in sales. I want someone taking my calls when I'm away and able to close deals and set it up. However, they were just able to take a message. They’re like a message service. The good thing is that people can see how you’re always available with your company.     I searched online for a virtual receptionist and Conversational Receptionists popped up along with a couple of other companies. I tried their 21-day free trial, and I've been with them for less than a year now. They answer the phone for me and they're doing a great job. It has had a great impact on my business as I was missing calls left and right before, but now I have someone answering the phone all the time when someone calls. Any time that I’ve emailed them or needed them to change or add something to my account, they’ve been responsive. They’ve done exactly as I’ve asked and I’ve had no problems.

    When I asked my clients for feedback when they called in, everyone has made the comment that they have been extremely professional. I appreciate it. But there have been a couple of times that I’ve asked them not to transfer calls but the calls still came in.     I researched online and in comparing the various other services out there in terms of what was offered for price point and reviews, it led to the conclusion to give Conversational a try in addition to the 30-day trial, which was also very big. We have the reception service with the answering and transferring of phone calls to us, and it's worked pretty well. It has alleviated the necessity of always constantly checking our voicemails because somebody is actually answering the phone, screening some of the phone calls and transferring people to us. So, we know who’s coming in and who we need to talk to right away, and other people that we can wait to talk to later. Also, the receptionists have all been very pleasant and nice. I would tell others that they should try out Conversational for 30 days and decide for themselves. But our experience has been very good and I would expect that they would have a similar experience.     I like option where the receptionist gives me a brief intro and asks me whether or not I'd like to put someone into voicemail or take the call. It's been incredibly convenient for me. We don't have 24/7 operation so Conversational gives some of the appearance that we do. That's incredibly helpful. Clients get a warm voice and they get the feeling of a professional experience from us startups.     The service from Conversational has been great and the customer service has been lovely. But I wish they could speak loud on the phone. Also, people were complaining. Sometimes there's a lag on the communication because of too much connection and it takes too much time to get connected. We ran a test and it was about six minutes to get connected which is kind of frustrating for the caller. Also, you say something, you speak, and you hear yourself. But it's not that bad and it's unnoticeable. And it is what it is. Sometimes, you're not in the office and there's nobody to take the calls and transcribe them to text message or email us.

    I had done an extensive search online and decided to get Conversational's service based on the completeness of their offerings and the price. Having some unbiased answer of the phone calls is what we used the most. They also have fluency in our online booking system, which is very important. Conversational has allowed me to have a lot more free time. I don’t work seven days a week anymore. I can take days off and have those phones be answered.     Conversational really got to know my company. Moreover, they're personable. However, they need to do a little more training when they get new people. I've had a few instances where I got somebody new and had no clue. They put my client on hold for quite some time, plus they didn't follow the script so I lost that call. My calls are recorded, so from the time the customer dials the number, I can see everything that goes on.

    The receptionist said to, "Hold on one second," then came back after three minutes only to say, "What do you need now? Oh, you need—oh, okay. Hold on one second." By that time, the client had hung up. She was either new or just lazy. There are people out there who are just okay. They pick up the phone and think that they know. They have all the answers already just by glancing at my profile.

    Conversational receptionists could relay a message and they can go back to the client. In addition, they can sound like they're a part of my company or a part of my team. Whereas the other companies were just too big and don't have that personal touch. They sounded like an answering service and were like order takers. Working with Conversational has made my business more legitimate and trustworthy. It has also made life a lot easier because I'm always on the go and traveling. I don't want my clients to get an answering machine when no one's picking up the phone.

    Their reps are very pleasant. They know my name and it's like they are part of the family. For the most part, the girls that answer the calls know my business very well, except for that incident. I gave Conversational a chance and they've been very good. Moreover, they've been very accommodating. I would recommend them.

    Conversational Receptionists had a free trial period so I tried it to see if it will work for me. I thought that it would be better than hiring someone to be in the hair salon so we could focus more on the clients and not have to run to the phone back and forth. Our calls were transferred to a number that they gave us and they scheduled with our cloud-based software that they would log into. They took the incoming calls and scheduling of appointments. They emailed us directly in certain weeks for changes. It was pretty much all we needed. We had someone to answer the phone this period but there were a lot of glitches with it because their girls didn't really stick around long. We found that they had a high turnover and not everyone would follow the same protocol that needed to be followed for our business.

    Conversational showed us that we need to have a guest services person at our front desk because that person will probably pay for themselves with retaining the clients and having more of a tie to the business. And even though it cost a little bit more, it's well worth it because there were some instances where Conversational got things relayed improperly and they caused us to lose clients. They even caused us to get a couple of bad reviews due to what they've done. Also, they have more of a lackadaisical attitude because they are young girls most of the time and they don't have any ties to the business.

    The other companies are pricier but they let you know their rates right off the bat, whereas Conversational charge the bill up very, very high and the bill should be audited a lot. I would tell my friends to go with a different company. I have a friend who owns a massage parlor that used them and Conversational messed up a lot of his bookings.

    Conversational Receptionists record what customers ask and take a message and, in the beginning, they're not that good, but now, they're okay. Also, their price is higher than others. They charge $120, but we don’t have many calls. In December, we didn’t get many calls. I know a company which got charged around $1 per minute and that’s what I'm looking for. That will be good for some small businesses. There are so many small businesses thinking of whether they want to use this service or not because if they charge $120 every month and if those small businesses don’t have many calls, people will be hesitant to use it. But if they have another option, like pay $1 per minute, they’ll consider using it.

    Also, it would be nice if Conversational can send us records every month to see how many calls we got and how many minutes people spent talking to a representative. That’s what we need. That’s valuable information because, right now, we are busy. The service is good, though. It saves some time and we can leave and be away for a week. I'm satisfied.

    I started a law firm and I knew that I wouldn't be able to answer all calls so I wanted somebody that was a live human being to answer calls.     One of my business partners had mentioned Conversational Receptionists. It was something he'd been wanting to do. I have an insurance agency and I have multiple different companies and a lot of them do call center services. We use Conversational's reception services and have them route those service requests to the companies that offer the call center service. I also had them do some renewal calls for me but I took that back over.

    There were some growing pains, though. I've gotten two complaints were from referral sources, two realtors, as they were confused. Sometimes Conversational's reps try to stay on the script so much that it's very stiff. I have to tell them that if anyone wants to talk to me, they can put them through with me. The scripts are meant as a guide. Primarily, the customers got to feel that these people are seated in my office handling the phone calls. I found that a couple of times, they put untrained people on my account. I listened to a couple of calls and it just seemed like they were untrained and unsure of themselves on how to handle something but that hasn’t happened a lot. There have only been two situations where I jumped in and asked what was going on but, by and large, they're doing a decent job. Some of the calls were handled right. Whenever there's an issue, they're really responsive.

    The only thing that I wish they did was a monthly report about people who called, what they did, and the amount of telemarketing calls they had. I like something that is a bit more detailed in terms of activity. But I'm happy because they offer a good price and it relieves me of handling all the calls and a lot of stuff I can do. They are doing a good job, and I don’t plan on leaving. They're willing to always work with me.

    I was very unhappy with my previous live answering company so I Googled the best call forwarding companies. Conversational Receptionists came up as number one out of the top five. They are 10 times better. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they don't do 24/7 where the other company I was with did. But price-wise it was very reasonable even though I pay a little lower with another company. The customer service experience that I'm getting is way better so I don't mind paying the extra fees.

    I've had just a few times where phone numbers were taken out wrong and short messages never got to me. I called and expressed my concerns about it. They went back and looked at what happened and got right back to me asap. Conversational Receptionists is a company that thrives on customer service and wants to get it right. Also, I like how they can get a live transfer to what was exactly said. That’s always helpful just in case the customer asks if they said it.     I've been using Conversational Receptionists for inbound calls since May of this year and it's helped my business a lot. First of all, they've answered the phone every time I've called them. Number two, compared to other companies, they seem to be more willing and flexible with the request for changes on different ways to answer the phone and things to say to my customers. They've been receptive of it so it's been good. Conversational is an easy alternative instead of having to worry about being there to answer your phone all the time.     I primarily have Conversational for answering calls through their virtual receptionist service. They're the primary point of contact and they also route our calls. Previously, people had to leave a voicemail if they want to get to me, which was quite frequently. At least, now, people get to talk to somebody who answers the phone all the time, which is really nice. We did a rebranding, so we just changed our name, and the team at Conversational has been super responsive. Everything that we sent over to them was addressed very quickly and all my messages got to me, so I've been happy with that. The only problem we ever had was from a text standpoint where we had some emails bounced. But they got me on the phone right away and let me know that the messages they were trying to send were being returned, which was helpful. My overall experience with Conversational has been very easy and I would recommend them.

    Conversational Receptionists had a great price and the manager I spoke to gave me clear instructions on how it would work. Having Conversational is like having a second person or an assistant.     I googled a virtual receptionist and put together some price points service, whether the company is internationally or locally based, then I winded up going with Conversational. They’re US-based and have an affordable monthly cost to their service. Whenever we or our salesmen are tied up on another line, busy, working with other folks, or in meetings and can't pick up the phone during office hours, Conversational catches the overflow and sends us all the messages in a timely fashion via email. The messages include the callback number and what the callers wanted.

    The follow up has been the biggest win and helpful aspect partnering with Conversational. We do a follow-up back to the caller so we don't miss anybody. Also, whenever I've had issues, I shoot them an email and somebody usually responds back to me within a day or two. I've never had a huge or unexpected delay in communication and they've been helping us out with any glitches that we may have. So far, our experience with them has been pleasant and efficient.

    I'm a psychologist in private practice and I listen to podcasts on my way to and from work. One of the podcasts was from another psychologist who talked about how she increased conversion from off client calls to actual patients by using Conversational Receptionists. I've worked part-time since the birth of my son and I found out I was missing a lot of calls from my off days so having a live person to answer the phone has been a real comfort to existing clients and it has helped increase confidence with the people who are calling in and those who haven't initiated the services yet.

    I use their service the most when I'm out of the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and I'm very pleased. I had no patient who have come in and has been unhappy with the service they received. All the receptionists have been very professional and courteous and still I'm very happy with it. The most helpful thing for me is being able to send a message to their team and having it put into place quickly on days when I have to be out of the office. The turnaround time is always really fast and I really appreciate it because usually when I need to make those changes the situation is a little more urgent so time is important.

    The only issue that I've ran into was some confusion on when to transfer in calls on the days that I'm in the office versus when to take a message. I could be more clear about that in my instructions that I left. Sometimes messages are still popping up through my email when I'm in the office and I could take the call. But it's not a big deal at all and I would rather have it that way than the other way around. The service is truly helpful and it has been a good investment in my practice because it allows me to be more efficient. It has lived up to my expectations so far.

    I'm quite satisfied with Conversational Receptionists. I use the live feature and it helps a good deal because now I don't have to worry so much about whether or not people are having their needs met when I'm occupied with other patients. I'm assured that I'll get just about every call. As far as errors there hasn't been any serious ones. Maybe once someone tried to give a patient advice. The patient told me about this and though it was very well intended it was really a boundary violation and Conversational responded to that very appropriately. Also I really appreciate their willingness to research when errors have been made. It's clear that they are working hard to improve their services. I have listened to their virtual assistant services and I'm thinking about using some of those as well.

    The voices of the women from one of the companies that I sampled almost sounded like they were smokers with that rough kind of voice. I didn’t like the way that represented my company. The other company I sampled also didn’t sound nice and they sounded almost too sick doing it. Another company charges you extra a month if you got a phone call before 8:30 in the morning. The phone starts ringing 7 in the morning and she’s like, "Well $30 a month extra if it’s before 8:30." She seems to be gouging. Conversational's voice is clean and not raspy like six-pack smoking. Their pricing was also reasonable and I liked their voice.

    I am happy with Conversational but usually, the phone rings too many times before they pick up. It doesn’t happen every time but it is consistent. Sometimes my friends will call me and they’ll tell me the phone was just ringing and nobody ever picked it up. That would be the one area that they need improvement and it’s very important for me.

    I had Ruby and they were getting too expensive. I didn’t get the impression that the other people weren’t anything more than just boiler rooms. They were more oriented toward answering service and the other people weren’t taking calls on surveys and taking orders. Ruby got their own agenda and they’re not always very cooperative. They went from where there were five to seven people answering the phone for you to 15 to 25. I never talked to the same person twice after a certain point. They had some growing pains. They tried to take care of raising the rates and I wasn’t interested in financing their learning experience. It was time to move on.

    I sent out a request for the description of Conversational’s work and they were much better and more personal, and more attuned to our practice. I asked one of the managers of Conversational how many people there were and they said seven or eight. I’m talking to a fairly small group of people most of the time and the names are names I recognize. The people are very personable and they act like they’ve talked to the person. When they call me for warm transfer, they have an idea what the person wanted or was talking about. They’re really trying to promote my business and I’ve always felt that. The management is very responsive and the receptionist is outstanding. There were some growing pains at first but it got worked out. I’m very satisfied and I had recommended them.

    Conversational Receptionists has more flexibility that suited us and we liked that there were a ton of options as far as when they actually started charging us. A lot of other companies would start charging us right when they pick up the phone and they won't transfer calls to a cellphone or they would require a certain recorded message and there were just all these restrictions. Conversational had customization that made it really great. We like how our voicemails could go to email too. That was a big one for us.

    We have it set up that they answer first. They then call us on our cellphone to see if we’re available because we have a virtual office and if we are, great but if we’re not or if we don’t want to take a call, we put them to voicemail. But it’s not like my cellphone voicemail. It’s a pre-recorded voicemail that sends the messages and I get it as an audio in my email, as opposed to them transcribing something. We have confidential information all the time so our clients feel more comfortable if they’re recording a voicemail on what they perceive as our voicemail box, which it is. The receptionist asking if they could take a message is old school and most people aren't comfortable doing that.

    Conversational's online resources are amazing too. The fact that I can go and tell them when I would be on vacation and what to do with my calls is awesome. In our previous office space, there was a girl at our front desk but there were a hundred different executive suites. It was as service that was part of the deal and we got complaints sometimes about those people. But since we moved over to Conversational, I have never had a complaint. We’re not a high call company but Conversational Receptionists been really great.

    Conversational answers our after-hours calls and then when our receptionist quit, I also used them for live answering when I had to be out of the office. I opted for them considering their pricing on it and the response. They were also willing to let me try their service before I bought it. Conversational understood that it was temporary, and so there wasn’t a contract.

    We were already using a live answering service before Conversational but the latter is much less expensive. It doesn’t have an app though and that’s one of the features that I really miss about the other service I had. We've been using the answering from Conversational for eight months now and all the people were great and very helpful. But they could improve on getting an app. That would be very handy so that us people who forget to sign off during the day can do it on our phones. Aside from that, my experience working with them has been professional and efficient overall.

    We used Call Ruby before and Conversational was a bit better than them. We got a bit more attentive service. Conversational was basically the first step and it got us to a point where we grew our business to having a monthly revenue to hire someone dedicated to the position. We had them for eight months and we used the call answering and scheduling service the most. We had it set up so they could schedule our attorneys. They were the front end of our firm so we could focus on work. The issue is that we’re a law firm, however, so we had some specialized calls coming in and we ended up having to hire staff to take care of that.

    I spoke with a manager at Conversational directly the entire time. I occasionally would be in touch with people on the team who were answering phones for us, but only when they ran into issues where the call needed to be transferred or they had a question that they couldn’t answer over the phone. They did what we hired them for. The issue that we ran into, we’re not sure if it’s more because Law has a lot of moving pieces and it’s really hard to keep track of them unless they’re there 24/7. But overall, it’s a good service if you don’t have a hyper-technical front end. If you have a lot of stuff that needs to happen, there’s definitely room in the market for a service that does it better. However, Conversational is definitely making a strong attempt at it, and it fulfilled our needs for the better part of the year.

    Overall it has been a good experience. There are a few issues. Most important is accuracy. We have had messages that did not have the correct name or had an incorrect phone number. Another is the hold time. I was on hold for a while when I called in to check on my own number based on some critiques. Finally, the voice delay when transferring a call is challenging. When I speak to a client, many times it's a second or more delay when they respond or hear me. We don't have that when we call the client directly. Overall, the receptionists are friendly, respectful, and professional.

    Conversational has been on par with Call Ruby for our use. They were very similar but Conversational was much less expensive and we changed because of the cost. We are a vanilla kind of user. They answer our calls, they transfer them to us, and they take messages. They’ve been prompt and they have a decent ticketing system for questions, and they also reply by emails. We haven’t had any trouble getting in touch with them when we need to and they’ve met what we’re looking for. It was a lateral change for us but they’ve been good.

    Conversational Receptionists was awesome. The pricing was fair and I liked how I could email them an update like, "Hey, I'm going to lunch." They'd say, "Great. Have a good weekend." I switched the way I did my actual hard phone and they probably experienced it. But what I realized I needed was not a lot of person but a way to screen. I am thinking about activating back up the phone answering as a way to interface with what I've got.     We like Conversational very much. They’re polite, however, just as what a couple of my callers have said, they take a little too long to answer the telephone. But aside from that, they’ve been very good and they’ve offered very helpful suggestions to us. We had an issue with a bunch of people calling because my email was hacked and they helped to figure out how to divert the calls. I chose them because they have multilingual people that could get me French receptionists if I needed it since we get callers that are French speakers. And so, that’s been a very important asset for us.

    They are also slightly cheaper than Call Ruby. I like that they send me the email report. I didn’t realize they would also send the voice recording when somebody leaves a message. I just like the way that they have seamlessly figured out how to communicate with us when they can’t reach us. And so, it makes it easier for us to respond to our callers. We are a new business and it has been very helpful because it makes us look more professional. We had also seen an increase in calls.

    Conversational is the first live answering company I tried and it freed me up a lot to do work. Their cost of the service is a great value for the price. I use their call screen feature the most and their system is super easy to use. I only wish they had a transcript of the calls. Other services give a transcript of a call but Conversational only deliver all voicemails in a sound file. I’d much rather glance at a transcript and see a phone number than having to play a recording to find the phone number and write it down. Moreover, all my interactions with their team have been positive. They’re fantastic, do exactly what they say they’re going to do, courteous, and professional. They’re very responsive if I’m making some adjustment in the day to my call time or if I want a specific person to get through when I’m screening calls.     I had a good experience with Conversational Receptionists. We reached out to them because we had a really high unexpected volume that our systems couldn’t handle. We started looking online and one of my staff members came with Conversational. There was a couple of different companies that they came up with but Conversational had an introductory promotion amount. We got their service set up relatively quickly. There were a few kinks at the beginning but once we got it worked out, things worked out great. They were very helpful in taking the calls and messages and handling the volume for us. They kept in touch to make sure that things were going well. They followed up. If there was something that came up, they would come and reach out to us to let us know that they can resolve it. They gave us feedback throughout.

    We used them for about four weeks then we suspended the service because things started to level out. We weren't stuck with a long term agreement. It was just as needed, and that was something that we really appreciated including the fact that we could engage them pretty quickly, and they were able to make the configurations and got the script and everything tested and up and running within a couple of days. I would recommend them and would definitely look to them again.

    For the most part, we've benefited greatly when we use Conversational Receptionists' service. There were just a couple of things that maybe because of the nature of our field that we would need to clarify to be more specific with them. For instance, when the court calls, we would rather just be transferred right away and for the most part, they've done that, but we've had a couple of times where it wasn't put through, so it caused a bit of an issue.

    Also, they type up the emails to us to let us know the message came in which is great but there has been a handful of times where the names would be so off and the only reason we would know it's off is because we're familiar with the case that they're calling about or it's someone where it's somewhat close to the name. What happens is sometimes they leave a message with the receptionist and she's typing it up and the trouble comes if that message is printed out and says Billy Joe instead of Briana. That's the only downside and any type of more clarity is gonna be very helpful for documentation purposes because those are documented for court purposes, too. Then to know exactly the name of who we're calling back is helpful, too.

    But the service works very well. We turn it on when we're slammed either in the office with a lot of appointments or meetings that day, or when there is a ton of office works that need to be completed and we don't want to miss the calls necessarily. We want them to be answered by someone and it's very easy for us to turn the service on to where it helps us immediately. Also, it's effective in the sense that we're able to get the messages through email and then also return the calls back as time permits for us. We like the service and have definitely benefited from it. It's doing what it's supposed to do.

    But the thing is there are gonna be times when we don't even need it for two or three weeks and times where we would need it two or three times during a week. And with the type of plan that we have set up, we'd like to know if there is a possibility to get some type of warning when we're getting ready to run out of the minutes that we normally use or that we're paying for, so we'd know.

    Conversational Receptionists handles my overflow calls and meeting scheduling. It has increased the number of clients who are scheduling consultations and coming through the door. Their team is responsive. If there is any issue and you call them, they will try to handle them right away. In terms of general instructions on a day-to-day basis, it's easy. I send them an email and they usually respond within a few minutes. But one negative thing is they can't tell you on a day-to-day basis how many minutes you've used on a given month and if you're gonna go over your plan or not. You only find out if you've gone over at the end of the month, when there's an additional charge which is usually not that much though. Nevertheless, it's been a pretty good experience with them.

    Before Conversational, we used Davinci Virtual. They're about the same, but Conversational is less expensive. We mostly use the messaging feature since they send us emails of when people call.     My husband did some research online and found Conversational. I mostly needed somebody to be able to answer my phone to make appointments. But I remember a lot of things that frustrated me, it was more of a training issue. I knew they weren't familiar with my system or with how I book and schedule a client. There were times when they took too long and clients are trying to figure out "Why don't you know what's going on?" or "Why don't you know where Wanda is or what she's doing?" And they were trying to cover for the fact that they weren't onsite.

    There were some specific instructions I gave them about how to handle certain gift cards. I require a credit card number on file to guarantee the appointment and they were having a hard time getting that all the time. I'm sure that the receptionists are dealing with all these and answering calls for every business. The way I had my appointments set up is, client would book an hour treatment because I did massage and facial. But I would book an hour and a half for the time. That was always a little confusing. But I thought the way they were searching for appointments was that they would narrow down to which times were available and not just try to schedule people in. I know I had one client that ended up getting her appointment scheduled three times for the same thing.

    I cancelled my subscription recently because I closed my business and we no longer needed it but I have recommended them several times to people. Having them answer my phone was great because I didn't realize how many phone calls I was missing. I think it's a great concept and idea for individual practitioners but you've got to be detail-oriented and go through the whole process of explaining how you want things done.

    I Googled receptionists and found Conversational Receptionists. I used Ruby before them and they do the same thing, but one thing that Conversational does that Ruby doesn’t is the scheduling. Outside of that, with the general answering service, Ruby really has a more professional type service but it costs double. So Conversational is not bad, it is just that you get what you pay for. Conversational's customer support has been okay as well.

    One thing I really did not like about Conversational, however, is that they use too much dead time on the phone, so my minutes were being used when they were doing a lot of, “Well. Okay. Umm, okay. Well, let me repeat that for you.” It was really dragging out the conversation. Ruby, on the other hand, was very quick. They go, “Okay. Name, number.” They had their script and knew exactly what to say, and were very efficient with my minutes. The use of the dead time was a problem for me. Although Conversational is still cheaper than Ruby, I was getting overcharges and it really was not helping me as much as I wanted.

    Bringing Conversational on was very easy and doing so has allowed me to grow my business faster. They marketed an answering service but it's more of a virtual receptionist. I use them for all phone services, calendaring and relaying messages. Then, everything gets patched through to me if I have time to take the call. Or if the client is calling for a status update, I can have them relay a quick message rather than me being on the phone with the clients for a longer period of time than needed.     Conversational was more responsive when I reached out to them for their receptionist service. They have allowed me to focus on other business priorities instead of answering the phone on a day-to-day basis. However, I only hear from them if there is a problem. I don't get any reports. I asked them a few months ago about what kind of reporting they have and they said it's all ad hoc. There is no self-service reporting on what kind of calls they are receiving on my behalf.     A former employee told our boss about Conversational Receptionists and the boss agreed to avail of their services. My coworker had set it up and it all started because my mom was going to pass away and we needed to have a backup for the phone. He was able to figure this out to help in case I needed to leave for a funeral. We have them answering the phones during business hours.

    The ex-coworker also had RingCentral setup with the phone and take calls or serve as the voicemail that's happening after 5:00 central. We're still trying to figure out the after-hours services part of Conversational Receptionists. They said they weren't a 24-hour service and they sent me an email telling me what their hours were but I haven't been able to go over that with my boss yet. There are a few little things they'd still like to get ironed out. But once we know what we're doing on our end, I will be proceeding with that. So far it's been good, though.

    My husband is a lawyer and he wanted a virtual receptionist to answer the phone. At first, we were using a different virtual receptionist and colleagues of his who called to leave messages complained that the person answering the phone was borderline rude. Once when I sort of secret shopped and called in I could understand why someone would think that as the receptionist didn't seem to have the best training. Then when I read the reviews, I heard very good things about Ruby Receptionist and the goals of Conversational. However, Conversational was at the price point than Ruby Receptionist so we decided to give them a try.

    When I first looked at them and talked to somebody, their staff did a very good job of explaining their service and what would happen and sold me on it. They seemed like a small company and I was talking to someone who was in the know. And we haven't been disappointed. We've been pleased with them and their receptionists seem to be extremely well trained in being very kind and considerate of whoever is making the call. Also, when I secret shopped them and pretended I had a problem, they asked me about it and had taken down some notes that they gave to my husband. And I had written out what my husband does and they were able to explain that very well and exactly as how I had written it out. So to me, for a virtual receptionist that was a great experience.

    My husband also wanted to have text messages sent to him when somebody had left a message. Sometimes he's at a meeting and he's not checking his emails but if a text message would be sent to him, he would see that immediately, know who it's from and determine whether it's something he needs to listen to right away or not. So he also had that interaction with them. But right now we have our marketing person and she turned the phone on to her phone during the day because she wants to get potential new clients and do intake at the same time. That is a feature of Conversational that they can do but we have not pursued it because we don't have our systems down well enough to where we feel that we could pass it out to somebody else. So as of the moment, we're mainly using them for after hours but for about six months we were using them to answer the phone all the time whether it was after hours or business hours.

    The one complaint that I do have is when I first signed us up for Conversational, I went through a very long and detailed questionnaire. It's a very good questionnaire and it had a lot of information in it. But that is not available to me and I didn't realize that otherwise I would have printed it out. I wish I could see that again and see if there are certain things that I wanted tweaked or changed a little bit. But they've been very responsive whenever I had a question through their online interface. Having them has really taken a load off of our minds as far as having somebody who's going to be there to answer that phone, answer it well, and get the information to my husband in a very timely fashion about the fact that there is a message or somebody who's called. We are also able to do other things so it really has helped us. We have recommended them to other small law practices.

    We had done some research among a number of different receptionist services online. Conversational was one of the better-regarded ones on the review sites. And so, we compared them among a couple of different ones. During the initial setup, the team at Conversational were very helpful and accommodating to a few of our requests with regards to how they were going to personalize the account for us and specifically how they address some of our clients. We have a couple of different high-profile clients, we wanted to make sure were treated more like family or in specific ways as opposed to sort of just answering as a cold call.

    We definitely use the incoming calls, call screening, and directing them to the appropriate person on our staff the most. We occasionally use the after-hours, voicemails and, also occasionally do the outbound, but that's pretty rare. It's the best $125 a month I spend. It definitely has reduced the amount of time that I've spent dealing with telemarketers, solicitors and actually get to work real quiet. They do a great job of screening those calls away for us.

    They have also put a real professional face on our business. We're a virtual-based business. We have staff all around the country. But the fact that the people who answer the phones for us at all the different times zones are able to direct the call to our staff as needed, whoever is on call in that particular area, as well as the fact that they answer the phones and they act as if they are within our own office and many of our clients have no idea that they're not in our office with us. That's a really great feature of theirs.

    Conversational Receptionists has picked up a lot of our slack. We mostly use the overflow and after-hours features. We have three lines but there's only two of us that answer the phones so it's nice to have a fourth, fifth and sixth when it comes to making appointments and canceling them.     We went with them because they have a calendar management team. We mostly use the answering service and the call routing. The main benefit that our business got from partnering with them is that their service has allowed some flexibility. They're able to answer the phone, so we don't have to have someone dedicated to the telephone. They're also able to screen calls, so we get the important ones and people that pretend to be doing surveys don't get through. We get a lot of calls from third party vendors who pretend that they're doing a survey and then it turns out that it's a sales call.

    All the operators have been pleasant and my clients are satisfied with their interactions with them. I've only had a couple of areas where I've gotten some negative feedback. But for the most part, it's been good. They call, schedule, and update the calendar, and they're professional and do a good job. I'm satisfied with the service and I'd recommend it to others who need it.

    I used another answering service before and it was like $50 a month. But it sounded like dogs were barking and kids were screaming in the background. They're on the same level as Ruby Receptionist that I used also, it's good but expensive. Then I got Conversational and it's exceptional. I even call in every now and then just to test it and they do a good job. They're professional in how they answer the phone and they make the business look larger than what it is or more succinct. When my clients call in, they'll say, "Is that an answering service?" I'd say, "Yes." They go, "Well, they did a really good job." And although my call volume is low, it's good to hear that. The volume will come up and down, depending on the tax season. It's definitely positive and I'm very pleased. They're professional and definitely worth the money.

    Conversational receptionist has allowed customers to get a hold of me even though I'm not there to answer the phone. I'm busy so when I'm organizing seminars, people will be registering for those seminars. So, whether I'm running a class or doing seminars, people are calling in to register after I've advertised the things that I do and they have to get an answer live. They can't get a machine. So, Conversational's got to take the call and register that person immediately. Of course, they do it extraordinarily well.

    And, if I need someone in support, they will get on the phone immediately. They have a great way of answering anything that I've asked them to do. Whether it's changing the phone ring or handling after-hours calls, it was done right away and perfectly. I couldn't have thought of a better way to do it. In fact, I don't even know why people are using other answering services. If they can't answer the phone themselves, use Conversational. They're the one place that we need a one-stop-shop for a reception. Do not hire your own reception.

    We had someone else before Conversational and then we had a little disagreement. We were complaining about the way they billed when they were going to up their prices and their rep wasn't totally upfront about it so that was terminated. As far as administration, Conversational is upfront about what their costs are and things haven't changed on us, so that's been good. The other service had more detailed messages, but that doesn’t matter most of the time.

    However, sometimes when I'm calling my wife with both the previous service and Conversational, it seemed like the previous one might have had the live person answering it faster or right when it went through. Conversational also has people taking calls 24 hours a day, which we could do but it'd be more expensive. After eight o'clock at night, the calls go to answering machine. The other service might have been better that way because for their price they had 24/7 answering and would send out the emails and text messages, even if the call came in at 2:00 in the morning. Also, sometimes some of the messages from Conversational get sent to only one of us. I had a client where their message was sent to my wife and I didn't get that message. I'd prefer to have all the messages sent to both of us, regardless of who they're asking for.

    Overall, having an answering service has been important. The guy from the original service had called me several times in the past and we kept saying no, and then he offered a free two-week trial at the time where things were really hectic. That showed us that having someone answering the phone, even if it's someone from another state, gives us a better chance of returning that call and getting their business. Conversational continues with that and as long as they are able to take the message, that gives us a better chance of converting a sale. People don't want to leave a message and they don't want voicemail. They want to know if they're talking to somebody and if that message is going to the person they want, and Conversational has been doing a good job with that.

    I had been a customer of Ruby Receptionists for several years but that company just kept raising their pricing to where the cost was far more than the benefit. I found Conversational Receptionists online and this company provides the service I need for far less cost. I am very satisfied with this company.

    Updated on 5/12/2017: When I get notifications from Conversational when I can't take the call, they're in various different formats when I receive emails and when I receive phone calls they're not always identified on caller ID with Conversational. So I can't always identify phone calls coming from their receptionists. Sometimes it says unknown. I've discussed this several times with the agents who call, and they're not able to explain it. I don’t know if it's blocked on their end or what, but apparently, it doesn’t come out of a central area. Maybe they're scattered all over the place. But I've just noticed that in the differences between Ruby and Conversional.

    Occasionally, with Ruby, I was able to go online and look at the calls and retrieve numbers and or IDs of people that called. Conversational apparently doesn’t have that capability, but in the instance where I've needed to do that, I've just called their central agent. They supplied me with the information and that’s fine, just a different method. I have to jump through a few more hoops when I contact them. It takes a little more time but it's no big deal. I would recommend Conversational. They’ve all been responsive. They’ve answered what I needed answered and then my routine conversations with them when they call are all pleasant.

    I was tired of losing clients due to missed calls, so I signed up with Conversational. The experience so far has been great. A pleasant receptionist answers my calls and tries to reach me. If I'm not available, clients are directed to my voice mail and the receptionist promptly sends me an email with the message attached to it.     Overall, great service and great value as compared to some other receptionist services. Consistently friendly and responsive. Depending on who answers the call, there is some wide differences with the amount of information the receptionist has taken from the caller. Sometimes - it's just the caller's name. Other times, it's extremely detailed. I also wish that they offered transcription of the calls since I'm not always able to listen or just need the caller's number. Considering both vonage and iPhone now have the ability to transcribe voice mails, I imagine that's coming soon. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will continue to use and recommend to my colleagues.

    The people I had hired before had a fire and they quit answering the phones so I decided to search for a new answering service and found Conversational Receptionist. But the service itself needs more improvement. When somebody calls my number, it gets forwarded to Conversational and if they don't have somebody who's available right away, it says to wait for a representative and the caller is put on hold.

    I got fewer messages from potential clients when I used them and the people who answer the phones aren't very engaged. I got what I paid for. It's about $100 a month and that's one of the least expensive answering services I found. Ruby is the best service out there and they charge four times as much and I couldn't afford that. I don't use Conversational anymore. It is a good fit for some people but not so much for others. I now answer my own phones and it’s nice to be more engaged with my client base.

    Working with Conversational Receptionists has been a good change for our office. We have a lot of information they needed to know, and they've been getting everything. Our call handling is pretty detailed. There were some issues in the beginning because it was a new thing they were learning, but overall, they've been very good with following the call handling and booking appointments with patients and potential patients. Although occasionally, I have to follow up just because there's so much to remember for our office, I haven't had to follow up too much with the supervisor.     I was only getting incoming calls from Conversational Receptionists which wasn't too much. They weren't set up to converse with people like what I'm doing. I really didn't use it that much and don't even know if I can have my minutes transferred to outgoing calls so they can make some calls for me there.     My boss found that we were having some problems with our other receptionist, and he looked into several companies. He told me to call and check Conversational Receptionists. I called and talked to them about the issues we’re having with our current receptionist and things I wanted to do differently. They were very receptive and they’re very confident that they could meet those needs we had and so far they have. Partnering with Conversational has definitely been positive.     I'm a sole practitioner tax accountant and when I added Conversational Receptionists, it made it seem like I have a team. Conversational's virtual receptionist is fantastic. It was a great product and it was exactly what I was looking for. It definitely works as far as giving people idea that I have a big office now with all these receptionists. This can really help out a person or company that needs that look and feel of an office that's there to answer the call for them.     We used Ruby Receptionists before we got Conversational and we changed because of the pricing. Working with Conversational has certainly given a positive view of our business to all of our clients. We let them pick up the majority of our calls and forward messages to us and as far as the clients know, they're sitting in our office right next to us. We get comments all the time about how helpful the receptionist is.

    However, it can be somewhat problematic trying to give special instructions to them and confirming that those instructions are received and implemented. That's the result of their website ticketing system which is not quite clear. I get the feeling that no one is reviewing that request on the other end until it goes into a production atmosphere. The way I understand it, they just see a thing pop-up on their screen whenever one of our calls come in so they have to quickly review and I'm not sure that they totally get it sometimes. But if we get someone on the phone, that does not happen. Overall, I enjoy using them. They're professional, helpful and I know we'll continue to use them as there's not a service that I found that is comparable.

    Conversational is a good company. The receptionists are very well-trained, professional and have always done whatever was required. The ladies do a very good job of communicating, answering and asking questions so I have no complaint to make. The virtual assistance helps because I'm busy throughout the day. It had a positive impact as far as on the legal side because most of the attorneys didn't like to engage with the client.

    We, at one time, were a law firm and that no longer exists but we would have to call clients or courts outbound. Most people were complaining because they didn't know it would be the office number. So it would have helped if the number could be used and the clients could see the number of the business when Conversational is calling them. Another problem is sometimes, when people walk into the office and they speak with the receptionist, they would say they got a call from Julie or Amber and our receptionist has no idea what they're talking about. But I don't know how Conversational would bridge that gap there.

    Overall, Conversational is a lot better than the previous people that we used. Although they offered more services, they were not as client-friendly. I like to know the people I'm working with and get a rapport. Tanya's been very understanding about situations and has been good to work with, as well as all of the young ladies that were servicing us. We have a good business relationship.

    Please note we are moving to a new phone system in 3-4 weeks and this will enable us to change our outgoing caller ID. With this system, when Conversational is calling other business's clients, it will no longer be from a blocked number but the clients own business number.

    Regarding your in-house receptionist not being aware of the calls our receptionists make, usually, the best solution is to inform your in-house team about Conversational and how we work together. This way, when your receptionist hears that a client spoke to a receptionist they don't recognize, they can assume it was one of the girls at Conversational.

    I used Conversational Receptionists for scheduling and booking appointments. It was helpful to have a live person for my clients to speak to and to be guided as far as the availability of different services and technicians. The only downside was that they weren't really able to give directions to my clients when they were lost. But this was not their fault because they were so far away. There was no way for them to know the area. Other than that, my communications with the people at Conversational Receptionists were very good. They were very useful during the time I used them and helpful when I needed to reschedule clients in an emergency. It was a very good experience and I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs a virtual receptionist company. If I'd need their service again, I would go back.

    Using Conversational is a really good experience, very easy to use, very friendly staff to work with if we ever have any issues. I was looking for a similar service to the one that I had before that was cheaper and found Conversational online. Aside from being much cheaper, it's very easy to control the monthly call with them than with my previous company. We use the work hour answering service and it's been great. Everyone on our team works remotely and we're not always able to answer the phone so having a live person to answer the phone at all times really helps. They also have a very friendly staff to work with if we ever have any issues.

    However, I replaced some of the services we have with that of the other company as they're a little bit easier to manage day-to-day than with Conversational. And if Conversational had an app or a better streamlined way of updating and being able to change our availability throughout the day, like if we're out or on vacation, that would be pretty cool. Because at one point, someone said that we're in the office when we were not and someone was actually trying to meet us, so that caused a confusion. But it's a really good experience so far and I'd recommend them.

    We're a small business with offices in New York and San Francisco. We're a production company so we're in the field all the time filming and doing things. It's nice to have people to call us with one number and then the receptionist can try to track us down and leave us both an email and a message. I used to be with Ruby Reception and their prices kept going up. Conversational saved us money by being the less expensive option and then it's been a solid resource.

    We use their answering and messaging service. The team has been great as well. All of the receptionists are friendly and courteous. However, the big place where they can improve is to take down more details in their messages for us. We don't get enough details that they get from folks. And sometimes, they don't ask enough questions to filter out people and so those sort of would get through. We make movies and TV commercials. We have tons of people with movie ideas that call, and we wanna filter those out. For the most part, they do a decent job with that. Overall, it's great.

    Conversational Receptionists seemed like they were willing to learn our system and adapt. This plus their cost and the level of comfort with them were the factors that made us go with them. Communication was also good with the company. At first, I was not too happy with the level of understanding with our booking system. So we put it on pause and came back about two months later. I spoke to somebody in charge and express my concern about the first go around and I asked her if she could make sure it didn't go like that the second time. I would say that she did just that and our second go around was great.

    We no longer have the account, but we primarily used it to book our appointments. We have a hair salon, so customers would call in. At that time we just had two suites and two employees working at any given time. So the only time they had to answer or return calls was between clients which was a very small gap because we make our money doing the hair, not answering the calls. Conversational would pick up the calls if we weren't available for the first two or three rings and they would book our appointment for us. They seem like they knew their boundaries as far as an answering service, what to and not to say, when to call and when to notify, and they were always very professional on the phone.

    It made a great impact to us. We would have had a very different outcome with that scenario with the call volume we have and the limited employees we had to answer the phone, if we didn't have Conversational available. It does seem though that their systems take a little bit to get going when somebody calls, so there's a little bit of stalling when somebody calls in, but that's also expected. I'm sure that we're not their only clients and we're just waiting for our call as well.

    Conversational screens my calls, takes messages and have a voicemail mailbox for me. It freed up a lot of my time because I don't have to screen calls.
