I had the pleasure of dealing with Sergio at the Paramount, Ca store, yesterday 12/02/25. He immediately looked up the part I needed and found it in stock. Went out of his way to carry the very large right axle box to the front of the store… just to show it to me. Unfortunately I had to wait to get a refund from AutoZone who was not able to get my part which I had paid for. So when I went back to O'reilly’s I bought it and Sergio once again helped me. And he even carried it to my car. Sergio is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I am looking forward to doing all my auto parts and accessories shopping at this store, from here on out.

I give 2 stars because I'm assuming this was an honest error. Due to recommendation from an oil change place, I was advised to get my battery tested prior to a long road trip for the holidays. I got my battery tested & he said, "it looks great." Car started in the morning, me, my man & my cat headed on our 4 hr road trip. We made it without incident. Car did not start in the morning. Took it to an O'Reilly in Chippewa Falls, they said my battery was dead. I'm very unhappy because I took the measures to be safe prior to a long road trip, in bad weather & now feel I can't trust getting my car tested at O'Reilly.

Unless you are broke down on the side of a highway and need the part now. I would highly recommend not buying your parts from them. I needed a headlight bulb for my 2020 challenger. $139.00! Amazon $35.00! Same part, same manufacturer.

Purchased a Power Torque 12 volt air compressor from them then when the fuse blew out I went to get a new fuse and couldn't find one locally. Called O'Reilly's general help number and told them. They looked it up and said the fuse would be in Orville store next day. Went to pick it up and was wrong fuse and they don't even carry the fuse and didn't offer to order one for me. Just said. "Basically you're on your own you can get one from Amazon." So in this whole shabacal I spent hours of my time and drove 40 miles to get what was supposed to be the right fuse which wasn't. Called the general help again and they said the same thing. "You're on your own. Get it somewhere else." No help from them whatsoever. Won't be shopping here again and I don't recommend anyone buys their O'Reilly's exclusive air compressor without making sure you can get a fuse to run it. Bad service!

Went into O'Reilly East 24 Hwy Independence. I was the only customer. Announced to the customer service rep I needed help finding fuses for a 2011 Acadia Denali. He pointed out where the fuses were. I reiterated I needed help because I found out not all fuses were the same. He acted irritated like he had a slew of customers and I repeat I was the only one. He finally after I said, "So I will go take a picture of the fuses in my fuse compartment" since he was not helping to hopefully identify what I needed. I finally picked the 25 amp fuse and the 40 amp fuse and an amp puller. And approached the register.
At this time a female had showed up and cashed out another customer while I stood in line behind a person. The man that didn't help me was cashing out. The other customer service rep disappeared to the back of the store. It started out just me in the store. Two people came in were helped and I was still in the store not sure if I got the right fuses or not. I announced, "So I'll just leave these right here since no one seems to want my patronage and send my sons maybe they'll get some help." I'm a 60 year old woman who has worked on my cars a lot over the years. I think I was treated. Like a 60 year old woman who they didn't see as a valued customer.

Went to Oreilly's in Morton Illinois and paid 800 dollars for two control arms and two cv axles for a 2012 Mazda 3 i. One axle looked ok, still wrapped in plastic, other was just thrown in box, already used, nicked up after someone pulled from vehicle and cv boot was ripped. One of the control arms had a rip in boot as well. Taking back tomorrow. The old parts on car seem better quality than this junk and they have over 200 thousand miles on them. Jeez do better oreillys. You charge out the ass for these parts and they are not worth putting these parts on..

Subject: Formal Complaint – Incident at O’Reilly Auto Parts Store #5327 (Beville Rd) on September 15, 2025. Dear O’Reilly Auto Parts Customer Service, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an alarming and unacceptable incident at your Beville Road location (Store #5327) on Sunday, September 15, 2025. This matter endangered my father—a 100% disabled Navy veteran with terminal prostate cancer—and caused significant stress and hardship for our family. I request immediate investigation and corrective action.
Background: I have been incapacitated for four weeks with severe sciatica and back pain, making it impossible to replace our dead car battery myself. Reliable transportation is critical for my father’s medical care. AAA jump-started the car, and my father drove it directly to your store with both the vehicle and the old battery to ensure the correct match.
Your staff sold us the wrong battery. When asked about installation, the employee falsely claimed the job was “too hard” for O’Reilly and that the air filter box would need to be removed. In truth, the procedure required only removing a single bracket bolt—a basic step on nearly every vehicle. Because of this incompetence, I was forced to install the battery myself despite my injury.
Attempts to Resolve: When I called the store, the employee was rude and refused to help. I then contacted customer service around 4:00 PM. Their only suggestion was for me to purchase a second battery online and wait for Instacart delivery—completely unworkable at that hour. As my father’s VA-registered caregiver, I cannot be left without a functioning vehicle.
Escalation at the Store: I returned with the incorrect battery to resolve the matter personally. Anticipating problems, I recorded the encounter on video. Instead of addressing the issue, your employee escalated it: He argued rather than assist. He ordered another employee to photograph our vehicle, clearly to antagonize. He then called the police and falsely claimed I had threatened him. Filing a false police report is a serious offense. Such behavior placed both me and my veteran father at genuine risk of harm. We left before officers arrived (after waiting 15+ minutes) to protect our safety. I am now pursuing the official police statement to confirm exactly what was reported.
Requested Actions. This situation demonstrates severe failures in customer service, training, and professionalism. I demand the following:
Immediate suspension of the employees involved pending investigation.Direct contact from the district manager and escalation to senior leadership, as I have heard nothing after four days.
Full reimbursement for the incorrect battery, AAA service, and compensation for the unnecessary hardship caused.
A written corrective action plan, including retraining on installation procedures and de-escalation.
I have preserved video evidence and will share it publicly if this is not resolved. I am consulting with Morgan & Morgan regarding legal options for harassment, endangerment, and emotional distress. Formal complaints are also being filed with the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Google, and the Florida Attorney General’s Office. O’Reilly Auto Parts has lost our business permanently due to this ordeal. What should have been a routine purchase turned into a threatening and dangerous experience. I expect immediate action and a written response within 10 business days.

Horrible company. I have had a business account for at least 15 years there. I went in to purchase 12’ of vacuum line. After they cut the 3 pieces they charged me 42.00!!!! I asked, "Is that with a business discount?" They said, "No. You’re just a retail customer." I could have purchased the hose of better quality from NAPA or AutoZone for retail 27.00, wholesale near 20.00. I'll never go back to one of their stores knowing they rip me or my customers off being 50% higher in price. Gougers !!!!

In late February 2025, I purchased a Murray brand new water pump from O'Reilly Auto Parts. On April 19th that brand new water pump started leaking from the weep hole, basically from this day forward it's been one pump after another. So on April 20th it was a Sunday. I drove to their store here in Oakland Park Florida, I took the bad water pump off and brought it into the store thinking this should be an easy fix. In the store the replacement brand new Murray water pump in the box was defective. The impeller blades were digging into the housing right out of the box. Yep wow that's crazy. So they didn't have another Murray so they gave me another brand that they had in stock. I thought great. I go outside and I installed the new water pump and added antifreeze and the pump instantly started leaking. After realizing it wasn't anything that I did wrong. I pulled this water pump off and inspected it myself.
I found that it had a crack in the housing along the seam brought it back into the store. Now I'm aggravated. So I had to spend the night in there parking lot until a new water pump was delivered on Monday morning. The new water pump arrived and I installed it and it was OK. No leaks or noises nothing. So from April 20th 2025 until July 27th 2025 things seemed fine until this 3 month old water pumps impeller shaft broke off from just behind the front bearing in the pump. The shift along with my water pump pulley and clutch fan with fan blade sheared off and destroyed the radiator, damaged my water pump pulley, the tensioner pulley is now damaged. The alternator idler pulley got bent and the harmonic balancer also got damaged broke the fan shroud as well. So now it's been almost 3 weeks and I'm stranded, my van is not running they warranted the pump I installed it.
But now I'm going through a labor claim which is a nightmare and I have been trying not to freak out on them. The corporate office has been helping very polite and showing care and are helping me. The store manager is nice but lazy as fuck to helping me replace all of my damaged parts from the 3rd water pump bought and warranted and installed. This last pump has caused me so much grief. Hopefully the district manager can get this handled for me today. He has been really helpful and I won't disrespect him or the few others in corporate because they have been trying to get the process expedited and resolved for me in a quick manner. But the stress and aggravation missing my Dr. Appointments for blood work and xrays for my pre existing stage 4 chronic lymphocytic leukemia and diabetes and not being able to drive anywhere or to use my vehicle for any types of side work to survive has been just a headache.
Today is August 14th and I'm waiting for the manufacturer to approve the defect. Or whatever they are doing. All I know is that the water pump impeller still rotated with know bending or issues other than the front half sheared off. So it shouldn't even of taken these last 3 days to review this pump. It's obviously missing the front half of the impeller chart with the face that has thev4 bolt holes that my water pump pulley gets bolted to then the clutch fan threads onto the front of the water pump shaft as well completely is gone from the pump. I have that piece and O'Reilly has the pump itself hopefully getting this situation handled. All I'm saying is that I have the 4th water pump installed and I am waiting for the district manager to approve the parts that were damaged by the water pump to be warranted for me. BTW I don't get but ssi less than 1000 month and I have been battling this cancer since Dec 23rd of 2023.
So these made in China cheap ass parts are bullshit. And I probably won't ever use O'Reilly again for parts after this experience. I'm 53 years old. In 1990 I got certified in both foreign and domestic automobiles and diesel A.S.E certificates in all phases. So I have from I was 15 to 53 years of age experience in mechanics and rebuilds and pretty much building cars from buckets of bolts to turning the key and starting running perfectly. And I'm telling anyone who reads this to stay away from these water pumps from O'Reilly. Go to different places and stay away from these made in China parts. They suck ass right out of the boxes they come in. People trust me I'm on my 4th water pump in less than 5 months. Yes 5 months, 4 water pumps and I'm still going through labor claim to get my vehicle running.

I needed some fuel line. So stop in O'Reilly to get it. I got 3 feet of line. It was all he had on the roll, he never cut any of it. It was $37 for that, so I got it anyways. I needed it on my farm. The guy never say it non-returnable. So I'm thinking if I don't need it I'll take it back. I get to my farm and find some I already had. The next day I take it back, and they say it non-returnable. For one think fuel has never cost this much , and being that I paid that much for it is even worst. I think he should have told me this. But you were get my business, NOW YOU AREN'T! I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH BS!

Bought a starter at the St. Paul location and it was pretty big bucks, almost $150 for a rebuilt starter but we had to fix our vehicle. We were never told this was a rebuilt starter and after I put it in, the starter failed 3 days later. Put in a new GM AC Delco starter and the truck is fixed. Went back for a refund and the crap I got was unbelievable. I am a retired GM master tech so I have tested, installed and fixed many a starter. O'Reilly's used to be about the best place to buy parts from, now it's the WORST. Last time I have to wait at their local warehouse 1 1/2 hours for a $5 gasket, while 8 employees were sitting out on the bench. Lady came out to tell us they were short-handed, should have learned after that incident not to go back, will not happen again, I'm done with O'Reilly's.

I have been going to my O'Reilly auto part store for about 10 years. Before that, I shopped at a different O'Reilly, in another town. My point being, I have been a customer there for a long time. Today, when I went to go get rotors and pads, I asked the kid behind the counter about the deal that I saw online. The deal was, if you get a set of rotors, they would throw in the brakes for free. I was told that it was only online and they will not honor that promotion in the store. I thanked the kid for his help and I asked him to tell his manager that I will no longer be shopping there. Everyone there has been helpful, but I am not playing these games with companies anymore. I will buy my products online if I have to. Too bad too. I liked going there.
