Picked up front brake pads on 5/26/24. Finally was able to get car up, tired off and find out I was given the wrong size brakes by Freddie at the 3400 W Lincoln store. Guess what, Freddie was there today, when I had to leave my garage open as the car was on stands half in and out of the garage with tires off. All Freddy could say was, "Well I charged you right, but grabbed the wrong box." Thanks Freddie. I asked if they give any kind of a discount like 5 or 10 % off for this inconvenience and their mistake. He said no. Once again, Thanks Freddy. Maybe he should verify the item he picks matches the item on the screen before he hands it out as he did when I showed up for the correct item, that would be a nice thing that Freddy could easily do at first purchase, not at return. Any comments back are welcome at **.

I had a terrible experience at O'Reilly Auto Parts at 15303 SE 37th St, Bellevue, WA 98006 that I feel compelled to share. I went in to purchase a new battery for my car and was "helped" by two knuckleheads who assured me they were giving me the correct battery. Unfortunately, their incompetence led to a disaster. Not only did they sell me the wrong battery, but installing it caused significant damage to my vehicle, amounting to $1200 in repair costs. The car essentially blew every fuse when It was installed, leaving me facing an enormous repair bill. When I returned to the store to explain the situation, the staff were unhelpful and dismissive.
The company refused to take responsibility for their mistake, leaving me to cover all the expenses out of pocket. I am extremely disappointed with the service at O'Reilly's as well as the LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND ABSENT COMMUNICATION EFFICIENCY FROM THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR, Ulises **. Due to the lack of accountability from the staff I will never shop here again and urge others to be cautious when dealing with this store. If you value your vehicle and your wallet, go somewhere else!

I purchased a part for my car that has a lifetime warranty. The part went bad and while at O’Reilly, they suggested I replace it with a different manufacturer part, so I did. I brought back the old part for a refund, they agreed and tried to refund it to my debit card. My debit card was fraudulently used after the original purchase and the bank issued a new card, so refunding to my debit card wouldn’t work. I asked if they could just give me the cash since there was no issue with refunding it to my debit card (which is different now) but couldn’t be done due to have a new card, I was told no and that all I could get is a store credit. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on 4 different cars for my family over the years and they stiff me on $102??? Horrible customer service!

We stopped at store 3224, 415 East North in Rapid City SD, it was a Sunday so we were very thankful they were open and with great hours, and not only was Clint and Albert amazing to deal with they went above and beyond for us. Without their help we would have been stuck, we needed new ball joints and barring they had everything in stock and what they didn’t have in terms of tools they went to the other location to get for us. They really saved our trip and we would definitely come back to that location and encourage others to visit them as well if they are in the area!

To those who would consider purchasing Laclede Chain’s tire chains, My wife purchased a brand-new set of Laclede tire chains from O'Reilly Auto Parts for a brand-new 2020 Ford Explorer. We took a trip to Mammoth Mountain in California in December 2022. On the trip we were required to install and drive on the tire chains. En route to Mammoth one of the tire chains broke and chewed up the felt fender well on our new SUV. Additionally, the remaining tire chain links broke loose and tore up the remaining fender wells.
O'Reilly Auto Parts sold my wife the Laclede tire chains reportedly designed for the 2020 Ford Explorer. However, when confronted regarding the defective tire chains, O'Reilly Auto Parts store employees tried to blame my wife for not purchasing the right size for our SUV. After talking with the store manager, O'Reilly Auto Parts, we were able to get a refund for the defective tire chains. However, we now needed to file a complaint with Laclede Chain to repair the damage to our Explorer that did not even have 6,000 miles on it. The warranty claim was reportedly submitted, but I never heard anything back. I engaged with the O'Reilly Auto Parts store manager on multiple occasions with no updates.
Finally, one year later, I must pay for the replacement parts myself, totaling $707 in repairs. All I’ve asked was for Laclede Chain to make it right and to repair the damage to my vehicle, but they were unwilling to try or even contact me regarding the issue. The O'Reilly Auto Parts store manager stopped communicating with me as well. Therefore, based on their unsatisfactory business practices, I will never buy nor recommend that anyone buy any Laclede Chain products. They are unwilling to stand by their product and pushed the cost of their defective tire chains on to their customer, me.
Lastly, Laclede Chain may not be solely at fault. O'Reilly Auto Parts should bear some of the responsibility as well for two reasons. First, they may have sold my wife the wrong part, and its employees did not verify the accurate tire chain part number to ensure they were not at fault. Second, the O'Reilly Auto Parts store corporation should carry some form of insurance to protect its customers, while forcing its suppliers to maintain reliable insurance and warranty policies. These items were not reflected in my current dealings with O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Finally, after a year of trying to make it right, I wanted to share my unsatisfactory experience with both organizations. Furthermore, I want to caution anyone in need of auto parts and more specifically tire chains to rethink purchasing items from both O'Reilly Auto Parts and Laclede Chain. There are more reputable organizations that will carry insurances and warranties to protect both their customers and their corporations. I urge anyone and everyone to purchase their automotive needs from those businesses and not O'Reilly Auto Parts and Laclede Chain.
Respectfully sent:Tracy

I went into a O'Reilly's store to buy a headlamp bulb for my vehicle. I was looking at the bulbs and an employee wanted to help me, so I said, ok. I had pulled a package and was looking at it, when the employee pulled a double package off and said for a few bucks more you can get 2. So, I agreed to get the double pack for the price it was showing on the shelf (it was the last one). When he rang it up and tried to charge me double, I said, "No, that's not what was marked." So, he got the manager who said they would not sell it to me at what it was marked on the shelf after the employee talked me into buying it.
Items are to be sold at what they are marked. If they can't keep track of their inventory and mark items correctly, that's their fault, not mine. I contacted corporate, who would do nothing, to the district manager, who would do nothing. Most stores would honor their mistake. So, it is on to Federal Trade Commission and Attorney General. All this after I have been a regular customer of this store. It is very aggravating.

I purchased a car battery from them yesterday 10/13/2021 and after installation, the radio and clock on my Honda would not work. I immediately turned around and spoke with the assistant manager who basically called me a liar. I told him I had no reason to lie and asked him to take out the battery and reinstall, which he did to no avail. I returned to the store today to ask if they would take the battery back, and give me back my original battery so that I could take it to the dealer. This woman told me the battery was in their warehouse and once installed they do not accept back. They could have traced the battery at their warehouse and since my radio is not functioning, they could have done more.
What they should have done is INFORM me prior to installation, that the radio will need to be coded. Today, when I returned (10/14/2021) to the store to request the battery, the same woman who serviced me the first time told me that her manager told her that on Honda's the radio will need to be coded. They should have told me that so that I could have made a better decision and just taken the car to the dealer. I am now out of over 150 dollars. What a rip off and they only give you a lousy two year warranty, whereas the dealer gave me a 100 month warranty. I would have gone to the dealer had I known they messed up the radio by installing their ** up battery. They had prior knowledge of this too, but failed to inform me and that is just plain wrong!

I bought a Dickie’s brand seat cover at O’reillys Calais, ME. The manager was unable to tell me if the cover would fit my truck seat, but cordially said to bring it back if it didn’t. Good manager, good management. He thanked me for my military service and offered me a military discount. I was thankful and appreciative. The seat cover fortunately fit. In approximately only two weeks the seat cover had worn a substantial hole in what turned out to be insubstantial material. Very poor quality. Do not buy a Dickie’s brand seat cover! I returned the $31.50 seat cover with my receipt for a refund at Ellsworth, ME O’reilly. The manager stated a refund was not possible, but reluctantly allowed me to exchange it for another. I wasn’t happy with this and predicted to him the new seat cover would do the same thing because of the poor quality material.
Sure enough, in approximately the same time of only two weeks this second seat cover wore a whole through the terribly weak, insubstantial, poor quality material. I reiterate do not buy a Dickie’s brand seat cover. I returned this second seat cover with receipt to O’reillys Ellsworth, ME again. The manager wasn’t there. I explained the situation and my dissatisfaction of the hole in the seat cover to the assistant manager. He said he couldn’t offer me a refund or exchange. “It wasn’t allowed”. “It wasn’t a manufacturer defect because it didn’t come out of the box that way” and therefore could not be warranted was his explanation.
I was completely baffled with this statement and baffled by an assistant manager who didn’t care whether the customer was satisfied or not. I questioned him why the manager two weeks ago had allowed an exchange. He called the manager. He stated the manager said he had done the initial exchange as a courtesy but would not do it again. I was left with a seat cover that was no good and $31.50 wasted. I told the assistant manager he had lost an O’reilly customer. He didn’t care. He said this happens all the time: “people buy cheap seat covers and they don’t last”. I said “here”? “No, at Walmart and all kinds of places” was his reply. Then added “but they don’t complain”. Imagine that. Again, I am completely baffled. What does all this mean? In this instance anyway, O’reillys didn’t care about customer satisfaction even though a product they sold was unmistakably of very, very poor quality. I would suggest buying your auto care products elsewhere. I certainly will be.

When, it was my turn, I explained and was told that a young man would help me. The young man went into the back, so I waited and waited, and waited. After about 20 minutes I asked the Smart Alec behind the counter if that young man was going to help me. The smart Alec said “maybe he disappeared”. I asked I if he would reappear. The smart Alec replied ”I don’t know”.
Finally about 25 minutes later the young man appeared and attempted to help me. He couldn’t find the right wrench (I did). The battery was dead, so he took the receipt I had and warranty and looked me up. It didn’t show up on computer, so Smart Alec said he couldn’t help. Well, I decided not to buy a battery there and returned the tools we had used. The Smart Alec behind the counter said to me “now it is time for you to disappear”. I left and purchased a battery at another store and they were polite and helpful. I sure won’t shop there ever again.

Went in on Sunday Morning Nov 3, 2019. Needed to find out where my rear defroster fuse was located. After waiting in line about 15 min, the young lady printed out a schematic to locate the fuse. Wasn't sure as it might be the relay. Wanted me to buy it before I even knew if it was the relay or actual fuse. Said the Older bald headed man could test it. Waited another 20 minutes while every customer was checked out and taken care of. The older bald headed man finally said, "I can't test this." "Okay, why did you make me wait all this time then?" No Response. Advised I would never step foot in there again. Older bald headed man replied, "Have a good day." This is so disgusting. Senior citizens deserve better treatment than this. Went down to road to Auto Zone, who helped locate the correct fuse, and correct the issue immediately.

Consumer Beware! around 2 years ago I purchased 2 of O'Reilly best batteries ($294.38 each) for a total $566.06 with a 3 year warranty. A few days ago they stopped keeping a charge. So I take them back to store #738, and was told they had to make sure they were bad...that's fine, so they were left overnight. The assistant manager, Omar was very rude the next day when I came back, and at first advised they would not help me at all...and told me I had to make an additional trip to a different store! So I gave store #4389 a shot. The clerk didn't know how to exchange my batteries without a phone number from 2 yrs ago. Wow! I used to spend anywhere from $800-1400 a month at O'Reilly Auto Parts, but not anymore. I will go to AutoZone in the future.

Last year I purchased a new battery from the local O'Reilly. It was purchased three years prior and they informed me the warranty had expired. I accepted that to be true and purchased the new battery at full price. Today that battery went bad and I returned it to the store where I purchased it. They said they couldn't find where I had purchased this battery and that it was dated 2016. And that T needed a receipt prove I bought it last year. I did not save the receipt therefore I had to purchase another new battery. I have purchased several thousand dollars in parts from O'reilly in the past but TODAY will be my last purchase from this company. The people working there couldn't care less about their customers and this should be an indication that this store is in trouble.

My car battery had died while I was at another store in the same parking lot as O'Reilly in Stanwood, WA. I called O'Reilly to see if they had a portable jump battery and the young man who answered the phone said they did but both were being charged at the moment. I called AAA but the wait would have been very long. I called the young man at O'Reilly again, to ask if I could try one of the portable jump batteries, it wouldn't have taken much to start the car, and before I could even ask the question, he said, "I already told you they are charging and I really don't have time to walk through the parking lot." The rudeness was unnecessary and did nothing but show his work ethics and poor attitude. I ended up calling Les Schwab, who drove across town to start my car and at no charge whatsoever. Due to the rudeness displayed and the lack of caring for someone in need, I can never set foot into O'Reilly again. Thanks for your time.

Recently, my transmission has started to leak, to the point that my transmission would heat up after a short drive. I decided to get a replacement pan and gasket in an attempt to solve the problem. However, while the replacement pan was almost identical to the original, there was one difference, which proved to be all the difference. While the bolt pattern matched, one part of the pan was shaped in a way different than the original that caught up on the filter and the bracket inside of the transmission. After a lot of screaming and cursing, I decided to return to the store to return and solve the mystery. They were properly installed, with each one having been checked for gap. Prior to installation, the car ran perfect with no issues whatsoever. I quickly shut the engine off, removed the NGK plugs, and installed the proper Denso plugs that should have gone in the first time. The engine seems to be idling as well as it did before but now slightly taps upon startup/shutdown. I'm not sure what to do now and am terrified my engine internals were damaged. The manager of O'Reilly's said he would help me file a claim with NGK if anything adverse happened which was somewhat reassuring.. Well Ed at corporate told me that they were being courteous by paying for the cost of my radiator and fan shroud that they weren't obligated to do that.
Wow... If I had to do repairs that weren't necessary a second time because of your defective part then yeah I think I should get something for it. So I am going to be mailed a check for 151.00. Thank you O'Reilly for doing the right thing and taking care of your customer. Ha ha. Again, the same store manager refused a discount for veterans, as we were lied to and made a fool of...
This experience with O'Reilly's should alert every vet to only do business with honest firms. This O'Reilly experience was pathetic and despicable. This is a textbook example of a "bait and switch" deal, as when we were first promised the discount on motor oil, we had to buy it for our car right then for a long trip that day. Their parts are more expensive than AutoZone and some of their managers are pathetic, in my opinion. I do not have the problem of other auto stores, keeping their promises on vet discounts. The battery had a sticker on it that said M6, indicating that it was built in 2016 according to the worker in the retail store.
When it crapped out this week, I took it to an O'Reilly and I unfortunately found out they didn't have the receipt. Unlike Walmart, which will warranty battery even without a receipt based on their sticker showing the date of manufacture, O'Reilly only warranties the battery (even though they know the date of manufacture) if you have your receipt or you are in their Rewards Club. And, somehow, they don’t have my kids’ phone numbers in their system either. Convenient. So my kids get to pay full price for a replacement of a battery that crapped out after 2 years. The part did not work so I brought it back. I also decided to buy 2 more items and get credit for my coupon toward my new purchases--but no. The manager said I could not use the coupon again and I told him if the since the coupon was validated at the first sale I expect to be credited the $5.00 on the new sale and he said NO! So now I have used a coupon to purchase a non-working part and still paid full price minus an .80 cent discount for the second visit to return the first item and buy more.
I feel like this manager had a bad attitude and could not figure out what I was trying to explain to him. I may not be the biggest customer but if you look up my number you will get the feeling I've been pretty loyal to your company. I was waited on by a young man named **. according to my receipt. I asked if he offered any discounts for seniors or retired military and he said yes, and I asked to receive it. He agreed, rang up my order. When I got home I started thinking that my purchase should have been less than I was charged. When I looked at my receipt I noticed that the discount was for 3.32 off of 165.95 (Roughly 2%).
I called back to the store and spoke to ** and he said "the discount varied from product to product depending on the item and its mark up or profit" Now that sounded like BS to me so I called 3 other O'Reilly stores in the area and was told the discount is 10%. So I called back and spoke to ** again and this time he told me that senior discount is 2% and military discount is 10%. He then said rather sternly "you didn't ask for military discount so you didn't get it" I reminded him that I had asked and his response was "Whatever, so what do you want me to do about it." I discovered that the hose didn't fit my truck and recalled that counter person said it had to be one of only 2 possibilities, the one I bought or another whose picture was obviously different. So, on the way back to O'Reilly's today, I stop at another store and buy the correct hose and proceed to O's to get my core charge back as well as a refund on the hose that didn't fit.
It wasn't until then that I was advised of the O'Reilly Auto Parts policy of having to wait 7 to 10 days for my check to clear before issuing a refund. Oh, the hose that didn't fit was result of counterman's mistake, looking up wrong application. He said the store policy required him to refund in the same manner I paid originally. I said "Fine, cut me a company check and I'll be happy." Nope, it had to be a store gift card. I told him I can't afford to hold an auto parts gift card for $70.00, I want something negotiable anywhere I need to shop, just like my personal check can do. The young man was embarrassed, and apologized at least 3 times for how rude this grumpy, old, unprofessional man was. The old, grumpy, unprofessional man stated "the store is full of customers. I need you back inside". This pissed me off, am I not a customer, this man should of been taking care of customers himself, since that is what the young man who was assisting me was doing. His job. I will go out of my way, and pay more for better treatment. Here I come AutoZone. That's thanks to the old, grumpy, unprofessional man for showing great customer service. The O'Reilly Auto Parts in Sanger, California has two unprofessional and rude employees that didn't want to help get a part I order and paid for. It should have been a quick in out thing but was dragged out to a 40 min wait of them telling me my parts not there only to find out it was the whole time. All they had to do was walk ten feet back and a look to find the part I ordered which I was told to just drive over there that part would be there. They made what should have been a pleasant experience frustrating. MARIO AND GERARDO of the SANGER, CA O'Reilly Auto Parts were very rude and unprofessional to the very end.

Very rude store management, talked down to me as if I was at fault for having received 2 faulty alternators in 5 days time at O'Reilly. I waited for 50 minutes past delivery time for my 2nd alternator to arrive. I asked for it to be tested and Dennis (manager) acted as if it were a physical pain for him to test. He then said it couldn't be tested on his alternator testing machine and would have to be installed on the vehicle to be tested (which is a huge job on my Ford Edge). I went to Advance Auto, had the alternator tested on the same type of machine and it failed. I went back to O'Reilly and told Dennis I would like my money back. He laughed in my face and said, "There's no way 2 alternators were bad. I'm going to test it."
I said, "You told me it couldn't be tested on your machine. I would like to be refunded please." He ignored me altogether and continued trying to test the alternator. Another associate, Carissa, began refunding my purchase, but had to wait for Dennis' managerial credentials to complete the refund. After a couple more minutes, he came and entered his information, never even acknowledged my presence, and just walked away. Carissa completed my refund and I left the store. I will NEVER use O'Reilly Auto Parts again! I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. Advance Auto is definitely the way to go if you desire quality parts AND respectful service. Attached are the pictures I took at Advance Auto of the alternator failing the test that Dennis from O'Reilly Auto said could not be done.

I have spent a lot of money with O'Reilly's. Not only did they ever take care of me on my rewards that I should of had after one day went into O'Reilly's. Spent well over 2000 dollars that day and never seen any rewards for it. Was told call corporate. Got response. Couldn't be rewarded so went back to store. They said that it had two accounts. Anyways never got anything for rewards of anything. Then here it is again on warranties.
Call O'Reilly's for an exchange needed for my 4 x 4. After talking to one store that two people were looking for warranty said didn't have. They would have to order it. I said, "Could you send it to store where I live closest?" Said no. Gave me wrong part number to give. He said I would have to go through the store at Lavernia so I did. They told me that the part is no longer warrantied because I had already got part exchange that they can't and will not warranty it. I said, "But it's lifetime." So another person got on manager. Said, "We warrantied it once then you purchased another one. Because of that it voided your lifetime replacement." I said, "Ok. Never heard of." Then she hung up on me.

I went to O'Reilly to get my car checked out, because the service light kept coming on. This is free, so I didn't expect it to tell me much. It came up as my motor was over temperature. I'm a girl that doesn't really know a single thing about cars and asked if it could be a coolant issue, which I was willing to buy. They told me "I should be good if I have any in it" and that it was overheating because it was hot outside. This should have been a red flag, but to me I guess it made a little bit of sense. The guy told me he had a similar experience, and I would be fine to drive it but just make sure I get it checked out sometime. The next day, I went to start my car, and every sensor light was flashing on and off, I was getting a "STOP SAFELY NOW" warning. My car wouldn't turn on at all.
I tried jumping my car, and it would not take a charge. I then had my car towed to a dealership that has previously worked on my car. That's when I got the worst phone call EVER, about how my electric engine had failed, and had to be completely replaced, which totaled apx. 6,000. I realize that O'Reilly is not a dealership, doesn't necessarily work or fix cars. The moral of my story is to NEVER TRUST THEIR ADVICE. If they didn't know that I would be okay to drive it, don't say that. If you haven't looked at how much coolant is in someone's car, do not tell them they don't need more.
As a woman that lives alone, does not have any family in this state, I unfortunately trusted their judgement, which was obviously a big mistake. I'm sure this store is great for a lot of things, but general knowledge about coolant doesn't seem to be one of them. I will be going to AutoZone from now on, as they have never given me false information if they were not sure about something.

Went in for a fuel pump for a Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8 early 2000s. Told him not sure if fuel pump or not yet so if I return it can I if I don't put it in. He said yes. Figured anywhere between $30-$100 max $298.55 he said. I almost ** my pants. I'm like what? I bought one for a German and out of country cars cheaper than that. I said, "You have anything cheaper?" He said, "Yes. $255 but we don't have that one." So I'm like **. If I need it I better get it all parts pretty much same at other places on prices. So on way out we look up fuel pumps. Thirty five dollars same kind delivered next day for $50. That's with overnight delivery and to be so far off just shows your company or that company don't care about the customer just the bottom dollar and that's where all businesses fail.
Mark my words. May not be today or tomorrow but the customer is your money people and if you piss off your customers you think we won't go to the twenty other auto parts stores or buy online. So I return it. I didn't even leave lot. Can't believe that's like four hundred percent increase. Rip off artists. So they reimburse my money on card and I call to see if it's on. It's not. While at store, the manager told me it's up to my card holder to put it on. I said, "No. You reimburse my card. It takes ten seconds for you to receive it and you're telling me you don't know when I'll be reimbursed." Telling me it's up to my company so I called them. They didn't receive it back yet that's hrs ago. Liar thief's and he knew I may be returning and he said nothing about this return policy BS. If they receive it in seconds we should be reimbursed in same amount of time goes right on card.
I will never go there again and I'm also making sure everyone knows their policies are not customer friendly and they charge way too much for their parts. Restaurants are supposed to be the most efficient businesses out there at 100% return. These crooked peeps are going over 400% for the same thing and you can have it sent to your house for way less money for same product. They wonder why they're going out of business and sales dropping. It's not just cause internet, it's because you charge ridiculous prices and your policies on returns and etc are BS and your customer support what customer support. Do you read this O'Reilly.
I'm not rich by no means and most people who go to your stores are not. Otherwise we go to garage. But to charge like a garage would like the snakes some are just shows you that your business needs to be redone from bottom to top cause you all have it ** backwards. Thing is IDK if I've been ripped off, stolen from or when I'll be reimbursed. Them knowing I could be returning it they should of told me their policy and not lie about it and tell me it's up to my company when it's not even reimbursed on my card here which makes me wonder even more. If I took someone's money for something then they returned it and if I didn't pay them then and there I'd be in jail for theft etc. Still didn't tell me their policy on how long it takes either so that's my complaint. Overpricing, no trust makes me feel like they're thieves and I'm on SSSI so that money is my lifeline to them. It's just who cares. Out of sight out of mind is exactly right term for this.

Originally had an engine replaced in March of 16. Due to my travel schedule I wasn't able to pick the vehicle up until late Jan of 17. Picked it up and it was leaking oil. As soon as I stopped for fuel took back to shop and they replaced the rear main seal, picked back up 3 days later still leaking oil and now a/c wasn't working. Returned to shop for repair. Picked up again and all was well. For about 12k miles started going through tons and tons of oil and knocking. Took back to original shop for replacement and wife went to pick up as shop told her all was well. Before they pulled it out of the shop 2nd replacement blew a head gasket and was pulled out and replaced. New one ordered took a couple days to come in and was swapped.
Wife loaded up daughter and clothes from trip and the 3rd replacement broke down before she got out of city limits. It was some kind of sensor that had to be replaced. Drove up to KY. All was well for about 4k miles then drove to North Dakota in it and started knocking and lost oil pressure on the way up replaced engine once more. This is now engine number 4 and within 600 miles of having this one replaced it's starting to jerk really bad when you let off the gas and the warranty is finishing every excuse to not cover it. Don't waste your money on their parts they refuse to honor warranty and will leave you stick on the road with nothing to show for your money except another repair bill.
I have paperwork to validate all of this so I'm not just a disgruntled person. It was a pure ripoff on their part. I have all of the others but they are at home and I'm out of state again. This is in no way a bad mark against the garage. They went above and beyond to take care of me when I brought them this truck to do a diagnostic on it as per the warranty requirements. So now odds are I need a 5th replacement and O'Reilly refuses to honor the warranty.

They bought the parts from O'Reilly auto parts on Rancho Drive. The work was done and nothing but trouble since. In the two years following they replaced 22 injectors total. The worst thing that happened, one of the injectors failed, the number one cylinder overheated and my compression went to 0 PSI. A Ford dealership in town checked the issue concluding a new motor would be needed, cost $18,000.00. Using the same injectors from O'Reilly. I don't think so! A set of injectors from Ford cost around $3,400.00.
I sent the bad injector to O'Reilly auto for diagnosis, and three months later they said that the manufacturer said there were particles in the injector that caused the injector to go bad; which would be the fault of the fuel filter. So they didn’t want to warranty the injector(s). Number one: Why didn't they send the part to a third party to be checked; not the manufacturer? So I informed O, Reilly Auto parts that the fuel filter was change out before this all started. With O'Reily auto parts. A filter from your store! They told me to send the filter in to be check out. After waiting three months for the first answer I decided to just sell my 2003 Ford Excursion as is; which I did.
By the way did I say the manager at O'Reilly Auto Part's on 4530 N. Rancho Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89130 told me right of the bat, I was wasting my time. You would think a Company like O'Reilly Auto would stand behind the parts they sell. I looked online and I am not the only person having issue with their parts. My 2003 Ford Excursion only had 170,000 miles on it. For a diesel engine that's nothing. I lost a truck that me and my four kids enjoyed and should have enjoyed for at least ten more years. With only the exception of two individuals, I have found their staff to be very courteous, friendly, professional and helpful. More than likely they have either the great quality part I need or the inexpensive item I want because I'll probably never need it again. They have always readily accepted any item I have tried to return and of course I keep any item I may need to return in good condition. Their database has allowed me to get replacement items under warranty without having to keep track of my sales ticket as they keep track of all my purchases on my rewards account.
Their loaner program has saved me a bundle of money by not having to purchase specialty tools I may only use once or twice a lifetime. I changed the oil and added a quart of Lucas hoping that the noise was a lifter that had not settled down yet. Needless to say, it just kept getting worse. I finally got time and money to have the engine pulled to send it in for warranty. That's when everything changed. It took almost a month before I heard anything. O'Reilly had me deal with the builder instead of covering the warranty.
Of course the builder said it was not their engine but was caused by engine management. They offered to give me correct price back for the $3000.00 engine. When I tried to discuss the claim, I was told to deal with O'Reilly's. When I did this, they said the engine looked bad and it must be something we did. Working on customer's Toyota Tacoma (2001) doing a front end job. She brings me all the parts purchased from "Her" parts guy in town. Most, if not all of the parts are manufactured by a company called Import Direct. Problem One: Sway Bar Link kits: Right and Left sides take opposing ball-joint type links. I open the boxes (different part #s) to find the exact same parts in each box. I have to return one and order another. This prolongs my job another two days.
Problem Two: While installing lower ball joints, I was confronted with a set of 4 bolts with metric threads and SAE heads. Original bolts had much smaller head size, while these new bolts were much larger but not metric. Opened second box for other side of vehicle and noted that the bolt head size was in fact a 17mm. All bolts stamped 10.9 (Hardness of the steel). Bolts in first box, although they have the correct thread size and count have 5/8" SAE heads.
This is totally confusing and the bolts should all be the same (and metric) regardless of which box I open. These parts on a metric vehicle should be "metric".Contacted auto parts store that sold her these parts, and was told "Well you just have to have patience when working on any vehicle". Really? I will never buy parts from this retailer, nor will I buy from O'Reilly's Auto Parts since a quick search indicates that Import Direct is owned by O'Reilly's and they primarily produce "Remanufactured" parts. Bought an alternator for my 42 year old vehicle. When I went to install it, the threads were bad and could not tighten the bolt to keep the belt tight. Being this is a seldom requested part, they only keep 1 in stock, and with my vehicle down, was able to find one around the corner at AutoZone. I simply planned to take this one back for a refund. When I took it back, I was immediately blamed for using an impact wrench. First of all, I said, any idiot who tries an impact for this shouldn't be working on vehicles, plus there is no room for an impact anyway. Then he changed his mind and said I cross-threaded it. I held the bolt up so he could clearly see it and stated that this bolt has clearly not been cross-threaded. If the bolt ripped the threads out of the hole, the threads on the bolt would definitely show some damage.
The employee said I would have to deal with the manager, so I asked when he would be there. When I went back, he was not there, only the assistant manager. Apparently, the manager is the only person who can make any decisions, so I had to return another day and finally was able to talk to the manager. Now he tells me the only thing he can do is give me another one, which by now had been reordered, since the one on the shelf had been sold. I told him I had found another so I could get my vehicle on the road. He would not refund my money, so now I am stuck with an alternator I do not need and a 2nd core charge.
When I took the old one back to get my core charge refunded, I didn't have it in a box, as the new alternator, which I no longer needed, was still in the box. They said they have to send it back in the box, and asked if I could get it for them. I said no, the new one that I no longer need is still in the box so I can try to sell it to someone who needs one. I told them I am done with them. I talked with a couple other auto stores and was told I would have been refunded since they too only have 1 in stock. I have done my own auto repairs for 35 years and currently have 5 autos in my household. I will never make another purchase from this chain. The way it looks, I should have read the reviews before stepping foot in their door. According to the paper she gave me at the store, the torque specs for head bolts are 18 Fefe pounds plus 90-90-90-45 degrees each turn. On my 3rd pass, one of the bolt snapped in the head and there is no way to remove it since the head was completely off and fell into the engine. I chased it with a magnet and brought if to the store with my receipt. The same lady this time told me I have to bring everything back in order to do something and after talking to her "manager" in the back, she change her version to tell me this time it's all my fault. How can it be since I didn't even finished tightening them to specifications when that happened? I consider they stole my $107 and ruined my job. My recommendation is for any reason, don't buy head bolts and/or engine parts (interior) from O'Reilly Auto Parts. You will regret it like me. They sell crappy used parts for new.

I recently purchased an ignition switch from the store. I was never even able to use the part. The car I needed to install it on, I couldn't even uninstall the old one off of it. Therefore, I had no need for the part. I took my receipt and the part back, and the guy said it had "definitely been used". Referred me to come back and talk to his manager in an hour, as there was nothing he could do. I've been a manager for a store before, so I know sometimes you DO need a manager's approval. I came back and the manager said the same thing. I never even opened it. When I called about buying the part in the first place, they had warned me that "it had been sitting on the shelf for a long time, and it isn't going anywhere any time soon", but I honestly thought I needed the part.
I informed the manager, as well, that I didn't even get to use it because I couldn't uninstall the original one so I never even took it out of the box except to verify it was even in the box. He insisted that it must have been used (obviously, never tested it, just by 'looking' at it). I informed him that this simply was not the case. Then he said my mechanic must have tried to, when I never even brought the part to my mechanic! I had to have the car towed there, and kept the part at my house on the table. Then he asked, "Well, did someone have dirty hands" while holding/touching it?! Tried to show me the difference in the parts how it should look cleaned versus how it does look. But the condition I tried to return it in is the condition I bought it in.
I'm HIGHLY disappointed. My girlfriend tries to use O'Reilly ONLY, even when they may cost a little more, and have made it her "first stop". She has had a couple of their locations work with her (let her borrow tools when she broke down) and help her as much as they are allowed to. I don't find the way they handled it, rejected my return request, or the whole ordeal worth ever going back to. Neither does she. Honestly, we'll stick to ANY OTHER company if that's how they handle the ordeal or if they could accept an unused (by me) part and just don't want to. I'll at least definitely stick to only the O'Reilly stores that have treated her 'right' if this is a special case. She's unconvinced in returning at the moment, however.

The only thing I needed was tire dressing. I went in the store, said hi to everyone, the tire dressing was in the first aisle so I went right to it. I knew what brand I wanted, did a quick scan, found it, turned to make my way to the cash register and there was a worker just getting to the aisle, looking at me while reaching for an (what's on sale) flyer. I followed him back to the register. He took the flyer and put it away (under the keypad). Tells me he didn't need it. That really made me feel uneasy, like I was some sort of criminal. Placed an order for emplacement heads for a 99 Blazer, was told they had 1 I could get next day and 1 that would take 3 days. Or I could pay additional 30 something dollars to get in 2 days. The 2 day extra money option is what I took. Parts were supposed to be there Friday 1-27-2017, but were not there. So I asked to find out if they could tell me when they would be there, counter person called somewhere they have shipping info., said they told him they would be there Saturday.
Well they weren't, so I called a different store who told me that there was no option for expediting parts from a warehouse and only from Mfg. shipped orders can that be done. To call Area Manager Monday to find out what was going on there and that he would correct the issue. Monday 1-30-2017 now after talking to Mr Tracy ** was even more unhappy that this man had straight out lied to me, by telling me that UPS don't tell them when a delivery date. Trust me I order thousands of dollars worth of parts for Corvette from many sources, when UPS picks up and assigns a Tracking # it tells you what day it will be delivered. So whomever counter person called either didn't look it up or he didn't want to tell me Monday.
In any case Tracy told me it would be in Today and they would call as soon as it came in. I then called customer service # on web page to report issue who said he would check into it. Store called, I went to pick up. I am just down the road from store so didn't take long, I get there and plastic shipping container was on the floor in front of counter (straps cut off and nowhere in sight). Last shipment straps were still on container when I got there. As counter people were busy I lifted the lid to look... And what did I find inside A USED head. Not a rebuilt but someones core. Put the lid back on and waited. Manager comes over, opens it up, says "You got to be ** kidding me, this was an expedited order from last ** Wednesday. I will see who has 1," gets on computer says "I will have it shipped from California and have here tomorrow."
Really I was willing to pay extra last week to get 1 ASAP. Now you can do an overnight and what about his language, I should have been the 1 dropping F bomb, not him. No, "I am sorry" or anything like that just a "will have it tomorrow." Told him "never mind. Been waiting long enough going to Advance just about a tenth of a mile down the road." Wish now I would have started there, they said will have 1st thing in the morning. Hopefully they are going to have it when promised. Came home mad as heck, missed work again for this poor, poor service. Called customer service to let them know it went even farther south than it already was, Finally got the "I'm sorry this happened", that I should have got Fri., Sat. and this morning.
Just want everyone to know if you are dealing with their store on Waycross Rd. in Cincinnati and you have to have something shipped to them, Don't Hold Your Breath till it gets there. Watched same store manager refuse a return on a battery, Man said his Grandmother bought it for him and he wanted to return it, Manager told him "No cause you can't return items after installed". I can see that, unless it's for an exchange for bad battery, but the man insisted it had not been installed.
Manager had picked up this battery several times to inspect it, finally told man there was dirt on the bottom of it from being in his moped. That's when I chuckled, cause he had been putting this battery on the dirty counter several times to get it dirty. He didn't say "look here you can see on these lead terminals scratch marks" (where if installed there should have been some) but instead the dirt on bottom of battery. So man was very upset. He had basically been called a liar and a cheat. Just be careful when you deal with this company. The only good note was the person at other store I spoke with on Sat. and the 2nd person I spoke with today from Customer service from their online #. Who said he would send a coupon to hopefully make up for some of it. Will have to wait and see if that is true or not.

This review is about a comedy of errors. I hope this serves to illustrate how a simple experience can go dramatically south, and leave a bad taste in your mouth. And, I hope you learn, as I did, that the best response may be to use mouthwash. Most are familiar with O'Reilly Auto Parts, and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. My company has a commercial account with them. Our operations manager deals with the local O'Reilly, gets good service, gets good pricing through our commercial account. Personally, I use the O'Reilly nearest me which is another town, I don't live near our company's headquarters. I don't use the commercial account for my personal needs. For my personal needs, I'm a retail consumer, and I pay rack rates. I'm not judging others. I think most would agree that it's okay to take advantage of a pricing plan available to you. I'm not saying it's wrong, but it would be wrong for me.
Enough background, and jabbering. Here's the story. I needed a part for a friend's car. An odd relay VW uses in some of its TDI. It's a Friday, and, assuming the local O'Reilly won't have the odd relay in stock, I get online to order the part. The parts place in Massachusetts I use has the part, and I can have it the following Tuesday, but I'd like to put it on during weekend, so I make a call to the local O'Reilly, and they don't have it in stock, but they can have it by 2:00 in the afternoon that same day. Great, it's ordered, and I go in at 4:00 in the afternoon.
I'm presented with a box for the part which, from the appearance of the box has traveled to someone's garage, been opened, then returned in less than perfect condition. I opened the box to make sure I'm holding the correct relay. One glance at the relay's blades confirmed that the part was not the correct relay. It wasn't even close. It had 5 connectors rather than 4. The box originally contained the correct relay, being labeled as such, but the relay now contained within was a stowaway.
This wasn't the stores fault. however, they couldn't get another relay that day. In fact, the fellow said that being a holiday weekend, at this point they couldn't have the part until the following Tuesday. Online the part is $9.95 plus shipping of $2.64 for a total of $12.59, and O'Rielly's price is $18.99 plus tax, so a little under $21.00. So, I leave to order the part. Now the story gets better. On the way home my son who is in college calls to let me know he can't come home for the weekend, so I agree to meet him halfway or so for dinner Sunday.
The following morning I call an O'Reilly in a larger town about an hour away, and none can get the part until Tuesday. But, the store employee states that the distribution center in the town has two and I can pick one up if I get there by 4:00pm. I call the distribution center to be safe. The answering system informs me that they are closed on the weekends. Now, I think the store guy meant that I could come in and buy the part then go to the distribution center to pick it up, meaning that while the administration folks are not available on the weekends, there are staff who make parts runs on the weekends for the stores, but that wasn't the explanation I received from the store representative.
The next morning I call a few O'Reilly along my intended route to have dinner with my son, and find one which says they can have the part by 3:00pm that day. Great. That afternoon, away I go. I ask my phone to take me to O'Reilly in the small town where the part should be. Only having one location in that town, I follow the GPS guidance, and go to the wrong store. Close, but the wrong store. After a bit of confusion, the nice counter associate discerns that the store fifteen minutes away has the part, and, after consulting her monitor, confirms that they have one in stock. Must be mine. Again, not O'Reilly's fault. But, irritating.
I arrive. I go in and am helped after a very short wait. The fellow helping me looks through the two boxes which have come from distribution. Several times. Then, once the other counter person is free, hands me off to him. I'm told that the part is not there. It should be. It's on the master sheet detailing the contents of the containers. It has been signed for by the person receiving the shipment from distribution, but, it's not there.
He calls the distribution center, and after a short conversation, hangs up. He tells me that the relay did not get put in the container, it's still on the shelf, and he was looking at it. I said that I was two and a half hours away, and I told him what had already happened over the last couple of days, and that I could have ordered the relay online for less. He interjected that they couldn't match online prices. I said that I wasn't asking him to do that, I just wanted the relay. I told him I'd be in town for a couple of hours and could come back by. He said he could get the part the next day. At that point I was dumbfounded. I was looking into a void. I replied by saying, "I live two and a half hours away." He said, "well that's all I can do." I asked if he was sure that that was his best. He said that I should call customer service.
At that point I had had enough. I knew that I was going to order the part from Massachusetts, and I needed to, at least try to make a point. I thought I, at least had earned that. I thought that what I was about to say was going to fall on deaf ears, and I needed to find out how good the training department at O'Reilly is with respect to customer service. So, I carefully said to the guy behind the counter, "I not going to call customer service, I want a relay. You have already told me you can solve the problem by tomorrow. You have my name and phone number," which he confirmed that he did. "All you have to do is call the store that is near me [and, I told him which store it is], and have them get the part from their distribution center; I know that that distribution center has two more of that relay, or at least the boxes for them, and to call me when the relay arrives and I'll go pick it up." His reply was that I needed to call customer service.
Now I was angry. I then said that, to be clear, I was not mad at him, just the whole ordeal, but, that I think I've done enough, and have them call me when the part arrives. At that point he smiled, and I knew the part wasn't going arrive, ever. It was the kind of smile that is both defiant and full of fear, and I realized I was too angry to just walk out. So, I said, "Again, to be clear, this is only directed at this situation, but I think you can understand it this way, this has been handled in a completely ** incompetent manner. Then I threw a smirk his way, so he could go home, call me names, and show me by not making a simple phone call. The part didn't arrive, but will be here in a couple of days from the online store.
O'Reilly is a good auto parts store. They generally have helpful staff, their prices are a bit higher than can be found in other local parts stores, but they are generally able to have the not so esoteric parts for the VW TDIs that I tinker with in a timely manner, for a little more money. Paying a bit more should come with a bit more customer service to add to the value of the exchange. In my opinion, and it's just that, this experience is just a comedy of errors. How many circumstances had to come together to give me an experience I'll be able to tell for years. I'll still use O'Reilly, with lowered expectations.
I don't blame the the guy in the first distribution center who didn't have the experience to look in a tattered box, when he had two others to choose from, to make sure the correct relay was indeed in the box. Hopefully, now that he has experienced that, he can apply that in the future making that a part of his "common sense." I don't blame the guy in my local store, he likely thought that the guys in the distribution center are trained to double check ratty boxes to make sure the correct part is contained within. I don't blame my phone for taking me to the wrong store, it's a small computer. I know I need to double check the information it spits out. That one's on me. I don't blame the first guy that helped me. He bailed when he realized he needed help. I don't blame the guy in the second distribution center, it's just a mistake.
I don't blame the second guy behind the counter who had to listen to me tell him, to his embarrassment how simple the solution was. He had been left in charge on a holiday weekend by a manager who just wanted to spend some time with his family. I blame myself. What I mean by that is that I'm not talking about a relay. I'm talking about my reaction to this befuddled guy, who just wants to do as good a job as he can. I shouldn't have gotten so frustrated that I became angry. Customers, like me, have to remember that it's the human interaction that's important.
I wanted to take the time to write this review, and convey my experience to illustrate two points. First, I dare say, not many people can say that they have had a less pleasurable experience with O'Reilly, and with that, everyone writing a review should take the time to try to accurately relate their experience, not just tell their biased viewpoint. Second, retailers should examine where the real problems in their system are, and work to solve the small contributing factors that can grow into a huge comedy of errors. Best regards, thanks for your time. Side note: I have not proofread the preceding review, so please forgive the spelling, syntax, and word usage.

I went to O'Reilly because I had thought about buying stock in your company and had read a good review. I needed brake pads for my 2012 Toyota Tacoma truck. I wanted my brake rotors turned and I purchased brake pads. Truck has about 40000 miles and brakes worked perfectly (absolutely no pulsation or problem) but I needed new pads. Rotors had very little wear and were about .065" over min. I requested your "technician" take a cut to just clean up rotors to give smooth surface. No gouges just minor wear with maybe .005 variation. I'm sure a cut of .010 an each side would have more than cleaned them up. Rotors after your "clean up" were .007" to .015" BELOW MIN thickness. Your "expert removed about .036" per side or a total of .072". I was concerned so I set the passenger side rotor up in my lathe to check run-out. IT WAS MORE THAN .020". Max should be .0015 to .003". In summary the ROTORS ARE SCRAP.
I will NEVER go to O'Reilly again and will do everything I can to keep other people from making the mistake I did. I certainly will not buy stock and based on my experience a short sell might be in order.

In November 2015, I bought a car cover from O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Woodruff, SC. It had a seven (7) year limited warranty. By the summer of 2016, the car cover was brittle and easily torn apart. In September 2016 after finding the receipt for the car cover, I took it back to the O'Reilly store in Newberry SC. First they looked on the shelf for the replacement cover which was empty. Upon discussion with the attendant and then with the manager, they determined there had been a recall on this particular car cover. Their advice was to go back to the original O'Reilly store for satisfaction.
Since Woodruff was some distance from Newberry, I called the store and spoke with the manager. Keep in mind, the folks in Newberry were not very helpful at all. However, the manager in Woodruff was forward-leaning and stated he would call the store in Newberry for further clarification since he wasn't aware of any recalls on this car cover. The manager in Newberry had stated he had pulled all the affected "recall" covers off the shelves and would be sending them back to the company. Well, it wasn't thirty minutes later that I get a call from the Newberry store stating they had a replacement cover. Once I returned to the Newberry store to pick it up, the attendant advised the cover replacement was the final action they would take since it was under recall.
Now my action will be to further search out the company's name which manufactured the defective cover in the first place and see if there is any other corrective actions I can pursue since this replacement cover obviously will only be effective for six months as well. I will never shop at any O'Reilly store again, lousy service for a known defective item.

Most of the time, I go to O'Reilly because it's the closest parts house to me. However, I've decided I'm going back to Auto Zone and NAPA for parts, because O'Reilly stocks poorly built parts that don't hold up long, at least some parts anyway. Case in point: I bought a remanufactured alternator for my truck from them. A couple weeks later, my battery was down. Nothing was left on. Since the battery, which I purchased from Auto Zone 4-5 years ago was getting old, I went to them and just bought a new one with high CCA's like the old one, assuming it was time.
Two days later, IT went down, just like the other did. I remembered a trick someone showed me, where you take the negative clamp off the battery and just barely touch the post with it. "HMMM, see a little spark there, something is pulling my battery down!" I thought. I disconnected the hot wire from the alternator and tried again. NO SPARK. The alternator is the culprit! I took it back and told them I wanted to upgrade to a new one. They swapped it for a new one with no hassle. I paid only $15.00 more for the new one. So far, no problems. Another example: I bought a motor mount for the same vehicle just 3 years ago to replace the original that had come apart after 20-plus years. This one has already worn out! A mount should last far longer than 3 years. So I went to NAPA this time, for a new left side motor mount, AGAIN! From now on, it's just oil, filters and bulbs when I do business with O'Reilly. Took back brake pads and rotters. First thing he says these are cheap pads and that a rock might have damaged them then tell me my brake fluid leaked on them. Then rather rudely he says, "You will be back in a week for the same problem". I offered to bring vehicle back to show any leaks he said, "No all warranty it but you will be back in a week again to fix same problem". There were cracks in brake pads and groves in rotters granted I replaced calipers.

So in the last month I have spent about 1000.00 bucks at O'Reilly's. Every part that I have replaced on my truck has failed within 2 to 3 days... If that long... 5 pcv valves because they gave me the wrong vacuum hose. The hose would warm during operation and cause it to pull just enough air by to open valve and allow oil into my intake manifold. In doing so the truck shuts off because it's not meant to run on 40w engine oil. Spark plug wires have been replaced 3 times in a month due to faulty insulation from factory. 3 Throttle position sensors in a 2 days because the manufacturer only sealed top of housing and not the bottom so it literally separates from the harness at running temperature... which also causes shut down at highway speeds as well as vacuum issues and shifting problems. The ignition coil has been replaced 3 times. First was unsealed with the resin dripping out of the box.
2nd coil failed ohm and continuity test out of the box. The third worked for a week and now failing. I've had a rewards account since 2012. Supposedly all my records have been misfiled or missing or CPU says incomplete data. This was not the case yesterday when we reviewed my account to verify receipts warranties and rewards. Fuel pump was damaged out of the box. Was told I dropped it or broke it. It was in the box sealed with cellophane and had 6 or 8 giant staples holding it closed. I brought box back to show no damage and not one bubble was popped on bubble wrap. Was told "Sorry take it up with the manufacturer." 2-year warranty never valid. 345 bucks pissed into the wind. 2 idle air controls because the first didn't even have the seal or plunger on the IAC. Took it back, had to stay in store for an hour and a half to get replaced. Sold me wrong pigtails. Sold me wrong harnesses, sold me wrong fuel regulator.
When brought up I was told by an obnoxious teenager who's never turned a wrench that I gave him the wrong info or wrong truck. Been working on cars longer than he's been alive. Mmm I've only rebuilt my truck from the ground up and had it 7 years. So sure I just forgot what I was driving and I must like buying the wrong parts or unusable parts due to malfunction or improper manufacturing. I have receipts and all parts were on my account yesterday. I physically seen them with the manager. Now all that's gone and they won't accept a receipt. Pulled part numbers to see when and where they were bought but can't prove I bought them even though my card matched card on receipt. Was told it happens all the time. It's a program or CPU issues that's been happening for years. Told me today after 3 hours at 2 locations that they were sorry and couldn't help me.
So needless to say I hope they go out of business soon. The customer service is garbage. They blame the customer for everything... and are selling the bottom of the barrel parts from jackleg vendors. I will take every dime I have elsewhere. They offer only one brand of parts and some of those they can't order or get. Auto zone 10 plus vendors. Advanced 6 plus vendors. Carquest, NAPA and Pep Boys all multiple vendors. The aftermarket selection looks like my first cold air intake and fisher price toys. Can't even get Accel performance 8 mm wires. Or E3 plugs. Hell not even Bosch split fire platinum plugs. Lmao. Wal-Mart sells those. These guys even gave me the wrong gas cap and was told I must have changed my gooseneck or tank. Lol. Gooseneck is 2 piece and doesn't go up that far to threads of cap.
Was giving an AC relay for my ASD and when I called kid out on it he said "What they look the same bro! It should work." Yes it does fit but doesn't have the resistance needed for ASD which is automatic shutdown if I lose oil or fuel pressure. This company is garbage. The parts are garbage. The service, warranties, and excuses are garbage. I sat in the parking lot for over an hour repinning, wiring and gluing brand new sensors together while employees smoked cigarettes and talked on their phones watching me after they refused to honor their own policies. Never again. I will go to NAPA or Autozone or Carquest. Hell I'll go to ** Wal-Mart before I go back to O'Reilly's. If you're reading this take warning. They will rob you, lie to you and then blame you for all issues maybe not the first time but IT WILL HAPPEN. GOOD LUCK AND STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.

O'Reilly Auto Parts just isn't what they used to be! I was happy to hear that O'Reilly was opening up down the street from me. I used O'Reilly for the bulk of my business, years ago when I had another business. They were great. Too bad they are nothing like they once were. I called the new store on a Friday to see what I would need to open a commercial account. The commercial sales person told me he would be by to see me that weekend, Monday at the latest. Close to two weeks later he shows up with his boss. Told me that he didn't drop the ball..... must have been miscommunication, I overlooked that.
I ordered two parts from the store. On the second delivery, I noticed there was tax charged on the part. I told the driver to have the store manager call me. That never happened. I waited until the next day and called corporate. That person said he'd get on it immediately and take care of it that day. Never heard a thing about it again.
I finally called the manager on the 1st of April and he said he would refund the tax money and have the core picked up that day. Never heard from him again! On the 8th of April, I called corporate again. Again, I was assured it would be handled. Here it is the 12th of April, a conversation with the store manager, three calls to corporate, and I have yet to deal with one person that hasn't completely dropped the ball. The core that they were supposed to pick up is still sitting beside my desk. Looks like I'm going to have to return it myself and eat the tax money too.
Update: Never heard from corporate, never heard from the store manager. They sent a driver with a cash refund on the taxes and core. The days of business owners and management making things right is long gone with this company. I guess they go on averages now. Most people these days are sheep, they'll continue to do business with businesses that don't care about their customers. I never thought I'd see the day that O'Reilly's became worse than Autozone, that day has come! DON'T even THINK of DOING BUSINESS with these PEOPLE. They treat paying customers like dirt and apparently don't have anyone they have to answer to.

It works like it should and has been working OK for the past week. If they knew that they had a problem with the Cardone brand then why keep them on the shelf? I guess I'll have to contact Cardone and ask them what they're doing to remanufacture their power steering pumps or if they even know that they have a problem? It always seems like there's enough time to do the job right the second time, but never enough time to do it right the first time.

For the past 30 days I've returned three (3) power steering pumps to the O'Reilly's Auto Parts Store in Spokane Valley, WA. They have ALL been bad. My last recourse was to go to a different O'Reilly's Parts Store after 2 Power Steering Pumps failed (remanufactured from O'Reillys Auto in Spokane Valley, WA). My last venture was to go to a different O'Reilly's Auto in Spokane Valley. The clerk there sympathized with me and offered to exchange the power steering pump with one that had the reservoir attached (the other 2 were without the reservoir). I have just re-installed the third (3) power steering pump in my car (Buick Regal LS (2000) and it makes noise. My question is, are these clerk purposely reselling known failures (power steering pumps)? Do I have any legal action here or should I just make a video of the crap auto parts that I've been getting from O'Reilly's Auto?

Recently I went to your store in Flower Mound, TX on Justin Rd. I have been going there for a while. I am a rewards member and do a lot of work on my own cars. I went in to purchase some CV boots for my ES-300 Lexus. I was told at the store it’s wiser to just change the axle so I did. I have since been told that this is true, however once I put the two axles on my car I started getting a very bad vibration in the front end.
I was told at the store that the axles never get returned. I had bought the higher end Import Direct axles. However I videoed the axles in use and determined it had to be the axle. I returned the left axle which was the worse one and got a new on, it still vibrated. Now I’m believing I damaged something in the process so I took it to a shop. Axle was changed a 3rd time and the vibration was still there only not as bad. It’s worth noting that the shop always used O’Reilly’s axles but this time didn't since 2 came from there already. It’s also worth noting the shop’s axles were also Chinese made, as is O’Reilly’s.
The shop informed me that it might be the transaxle. I took the car to a transmission shop and for $2300 give or take, I had the transmission overhauled and a new wheel bearing put on. I was told the transmission looked like it was new. When I drove out it was still vibrating. I finally went and got an OEM axle and the problem disappeared. I changed 2 perfectly good axles due to a boot tear and ended up spending over $2500. Since this happened I now check before I buy something at O’Reilly and actually everywhere else if what I’m getting is from China. They might be cheaper in the beginning but it’s not after a few replacements.
O’Reilly did contact me with some questions a month or so ago, never heard from them again. It’s a shame, I liked the place and I’ve spent thousands of dollars on car parts there. It would be my advice to NOT ever buy an Axle from O’Reilly. I actually got an OEM rebuilt that was cheaper and doesn’t vibrate at all or just change the boots.

I was a regular customer. I'm retired and buy and restore vehicles as well as do some outside work. Went in and bought 1 ft of fuel line which was a little over 6.00. I thought was high but everything's going up in price so mentioned it to sales guy and he just laughed. No receipt given, with a grain of salt paid and left. Well 1 ft was not enough so took a piece to AutoZone which is closer and bought 2 more feet, total was 2.58. What a difference, that's 1.29 a ft on this one item. Keep the 4.71. I'm taking my business to AutoZone from now on.

This afternoon I go to the location in Buechel, Kentucky and Courtney waited on me. She was very nice, however, she wasn't sure which battery size I needed. So I bought both sizes to return the one I wouldn't need. I also needed an alternator. The price she quoted was much higher than I expected so I told her I'd call Auto Zone and get it from there if cheaper. She said they match prices and called Auto Zone herself. They were about $25 cheaper. When I got home, I realized she charged me the full price on the alternator and not the matched price. When I went back to return the battery we didn't need, she was gone and I explained what happened to the man now waiting on me.
He called Auto Zone and gave them the box number and said it's the same price. I told him that when Courtney called she told them she needed the price for a 2002 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder and it was cheaper. Now he's trying to say it was the same price. He got the manager, PJ, who didn't offer any help to me whatsoever, and basically accused me of lying. I'm spending hundreds of dollars here and I'm going to lie about being charged an extra $20?!? He was a total ** and I told him I didn't appreciate his lack of customer skills. He clearly didn't care. I told him he just lost a customer; again he didn't care. Will NEVER go to another O'Reilley's again and will be calling the corporate office in the morning to complain about PJ!

Went into a store in Augusta, Ga., they won't you hand them your charge card, they have no card swipes for you. Bought a part and asked if they would hold it and I may need another part after buying a starter. Couldn't find what I wanted, the worker didn't give my card back. I walked out, went down the road and looked, and realized the worker kept my card. Went back to the store and they said they gave it back. I recalled telling them to keep it, may need another part. I know for a fact the employee stole my credit card, had to cancel it. Now I have to change all my information on all places I use my card. Thefts on Peach Orchard Rd.

The same thing happened to me with my battery. I have replaced this battery 5 times and getting ready to return the 6th one for a refund. My car has been thoroughly tested by my mechanic, the alternator has been replaced and every time I get the charging system checked, it always comes back as bad battery. They seem to be losing charge over night and that is what was happening at the local store. They would charge it up and I would purposely leave the battery there overnight and sure enough, it would test bad the next day.
I take very good care of all my vehicles and I have never experienced so much trouble with a battery. In fact, one of the employees stated that they have had a lot of returns and they must have gotten a bad batch of batteries. At this point, I just want my money back because I am exhausted from taking the battery in and out of the car so many times. I have 3 other vehicles and not any problems like this at all. My pickup I have had for 16 yrs and no problems like this.

My name is **. I own six yep six vehicles and try my best to do my own work to them if not something that requires a professional. I have used O'Reilly's auto store for more than 16 years. On Thursday July 2nd 2015 I called the store on 119th and Western at approximately 10 a.m. I ordered CV axles for my daily driver and they were supposed to arrive around 1:30 p.m. When I arrived at about 3:30 p.m. to receive my parts no one knew that they were supposed to be there. They were not there nor was there any information showing that they should have been there or had been ordered that morning. The man behind the counter offered to reorder the parts and they could be there at 5:30.
However, I was on my way home from work and live more than an hour away from that store so that was not an option for me. He looked in the computer system and it shows that the store to the north on Western at about 56th had four of the CV axles to Remans and 2 new in stock at the store and sent me there. When I arrived at that store they did not have any of those parts in stock and offered to order them once again which still was not going to happen at this point I was already considering another parts house for my remaining parts needs. Point being I called the store early in the morning for these parts that had to be ordered they told me that they would be ordered and they never were. I feel that I ordered the parts with plenty of time for them to have been ordered and arrived at the store without having to wait around an additional 2 hours with nowhere to go and nothing to do. I hope I have better service at another parts supplier.

Purchased a battery on 1/28/15 from O'Reilly. On 3/9/15 I had service work done at Sears. As part of the service at Sears they check your battery. The battery is nearly dead and has 39 cca. I went back to O'Reilly and their tech tested the battery and said it was bad. "Then", changed his mind and told me it was my alternator. I went to an auto elec. shop where they tested the alternator and it works fine. The car only has 50,000 miles on it so the chances of a bad alternator are slim. I then called O'Reilly Consumer Service Dept. where I was blown off like so much dust. I'm going back to the store tomorrow but I'm not optimistic.

I had bought their Brake Best rotors for my car several years ago and also installed new calipers and pads. The rotors are cheap made in China parts. They would warp after 1-2 months. I exchanged them under warranty several times before returning them and trading up to the better Bosch rotors. The Brake Best were $35 each and the Bosch were $23. These were better and would last 4-6 months before starting to warp and it was a few more months before they were as bad as the Brake Best in 2 months.
I warrantied them several times since 2012 and just went to do it again several days ago and they said there was no record of my purchasing them. I've spent several hours over the last 5 days trying to get them to find the invoice. The District Manager said there was no record of that part number being sold in the company ever. I went to a different store in another city and they found it in 10 minutes.
I had to pay my bank $22 to pull records from 2012 to find that purchase out of the many O'Reilly's purchases I have made over the years for my vehicles and ones I repair for friends and family (I've been an ASE Master Tech with L1 and X1 certifications since 1997). They are unwilling to do anything for my time or the money I spent because one of their managers forgot to put my phone number on the invoice. I even gave them a picture of the rotor on my car with the part number on it, and they couldn't look it up that way, until I went to a store in a different town. Not satisfied.

Couple weeks ago my husband was having issues with his radiator fan not shutting off after the car was turned off. We had read to replace that relay. We went to O'Reilly's who said they had the correct one for a 2006 Kia Sorento. The one they gave us I had questioned as it said on the package "flashers". The guy at the store said it would work. We went outside and replaced the relay. Well guess what it wasn't the correct one. Thanks to them giving us a wrong part not only did we have no working radiator fan but now have no low beams on our headlights or ac/heat blowers are not working which makes the car unable to drive due to overheating.
Finally got correct relay from dealer and radiator fan now works but still have no blowers or headlights. I went online to O'Reilly's and looked up the part they gave us and what do you know, it doesn't even show was compatible with our vehicle. I have emailed them and was told the District Manager would contact us, that was four days ago and still haven't heard a thing from them. Now we are going to be out hundreds of dollars because of their screw up.

I'm not one to write reviews, or even bring things back to a store but this was just ridiculous. So, I ordered brake calipers from the Piedmont SC store on Anderson St (Hwy 86). I ordered these brake calipers on a Tuesday, I was told to pick them up Wednesday morning. Calipers never showed up, pick them up Friday morning. Wow, uh ok... Got them Friday AFTERNOON, along with a floor jack, since I needed one anyway. I bought my pads and rotors online somewhere else, because I do weekend autocross. That OEM stuff won't cut it much. Calipers are remanufactured, I was told $46 each when I ordered them, then had to pay $60 core charge.... Wasn't ever told about the core charge until I picked them up on Friday. Oh well, I NEED to get these brakes on!
The AC DELCO (Chinese made) floor jack failed before I could even get a jack stand under it. Car fell from about 11" off the ground and crushed my rocker panel. ($390 worth of body damage). Took the jack back, they were helpful in a return with that, but did use the words "poor baby." After all said and done with, I return the old calipers for my core refund. They swiped it back into my account and told me it shouldn't be more than a day.... I'm going on 2 weeks, no pending transactions in my account. No money returned..... I called the store, and the manager obviously has no idea what I'm talking about.... If you want to make a lot of money, open an Autozone or Advance in Piedmont. I'll give you my hard earned money.
