I am a single mother of 4 who, a few years ago went to look at cars at Major World. I'd settled on a less expensive new car and waited for Major World to run my credit. They told me that I did not have a rating that would afford me to purchase the less expensive new car, then they steered me to purchase a used car that was about $10,000 more. A couple plus years later the car completely died. I phoned Major World and they told me to have the car towed to them, so I did. They told me that for the same monthly payment, I could pick another car. Once again I picked a cheaper new car, they ran my credit and told me the same thing. Once again Major World steered me to a more expensive used car and they never ever let me talk to their bank. After hours of waiting, they negotiated a deal that benefited their criminal company and their criminal partner banks. I was stuck, because I needed a car to travel to and from work on Long Island.
Twice, Major World has taken advantage of me, to the tune of over $35,000. I have emailed complaints and after my last purchase, I was told by a coworker that has acquaintances that worked for Major World, that the workers at the dealership are straight from jail cells and get coached on how to prey on and take advantage of people like me. The bank the dealer chose, is adding additional fake charges to my statements. These companies are criminal and a class action lawsuit against Major World, Alphera Financial Services and all of the other criminal banks involved, needs to be ordered. I noticed that someone charged the first bank that Major World assigned my first car notice to. That company was sued, paid some of us monies back and is out of business. Please charge Major World and their partner banks, and please call me to testify. I do have my receipts, if you need me to fax or mail a copy.

When I bought my car I was told everything was okay. Everything was not okay after research on it. It was part of a large accident but basically totaled. How did it end up being resold? I don't know. And over price. I was charged for the car like if it was brand new for a used vehicle. Not only that I found that they lied on the odometer on my car. After another research my Odometer states the car arrived to Major World with 44,657 miles dated 04/04/2015 then 10/06/2015 at 55,482 miles but then the car was sold to me at 30,000 miles in March of 2016 with 30,000 miles. That means they tampered with the miles in the odometer to make whoever is buying the vehicle think they got a deal. RIPPED OFF. I tried to bring the car back after everything I found on the car. They state they couldn't take it back. But I was told if I don't feel safe about the car bring it back. The manager states he can't take it back.

I contacted the dealer after finding a "too good to be true" vehicle, a 2005 Yukon XL Denali with 66K miles for 11,000.00. I contacted the dealer, and they said it was still available, so I filled out the credit form and was prequalified to purchase the vehicle. All that was left was to test drive it. Here's the best part, I let them know I was driving up from Baltimore, Maryland, approximately 4 hours away, and asked them to hold it, and that I would even leave a deposit if that was required. They said they would hold it no problem, and we set up an appointment for the following Sunday for me to drive up and test drive it/purchase it.
Saturday night at 7:30, I get a call from Yomarie **, confirming my appointment, and letting me know the truck was waiting. I rented a car one way from Baltimore to New York, and drove 4 and a half hours to their dealership. On arrival, I was informed the vehicle had been sold, and that they never hold vehicles for anyone and since I had driven all that way, they had a couple of other cars to show me... I let the sales guy know, that I wasn't interested in anything they had. They didn't even bother apologizing. I got back in my rental car, and drove the 4 and a half hours back home. I am pretty sure they could care less about losing one customer, but if someone reads this and decides not to do business with them, they might get the message.

Stay away from these thieves! I don't really write or read reviews. I think that was my biggest mistake. I should've read some reviews before I went these scammers and got robbed. They will sell you B.S. and their cars are worst! In June of 2016, I purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion with only 40,000 miles. I was told the car was pre-certified from Ford and that the car never had any issue with it. They give me a FAKE carfax form with another Ford Fusion's VIN number on it. I didn't realise it till I took it back within a month because the car started to shake and turn off in the middle of me driving on the highway.
The sales manager also told me that I'm getting a 3 years warranty with unlimited mileage on the house. If I have any problem/s with the car, just bring it back to their service department. Mind you, it wasn't even a month till the car broke down while I was driving over 20 times. I took it to the service department where I waited over 3 hours till one RUDE "manager" told me I have to leave it there for few days. I waited over a week. When I finally couldn't take it anymore, I went down to the service shop and they told me that they didn't even get to my car yet.
Finally, after a week and half later I called and they told me that my car transmission wasn't working properly. I didn't even have the car for a MONTH! They said I have to pay $600! Out of my pocket! I went off at the service manager because first he was rude and racist and second I just purchased the car with so called "3 years" warranty. They told me that the car never came with the warranty. That's when I read the paperwork and saw it was a FAKE VIN number on the carfax and nothing in written on any paper about the warranty.
After going back and forth with the racist and rude manager, they told me not to come back to their service shop again. Lol it's crazy how I spent $24,000 on this car not realizing how of a fool I was. I took it Ford to see if they could help me. Unfortunately, I didn't have any warranty with them either. Please do yourself a big favor and stay away from these people. All they care about is how to rob you for your money. Once they have the money, they forget you were even there.

I have made multiple trips to the dealer and missing time from work, trying to get this resolved and I even gave more money after the first down payment. Now, they are telling me that I was not approved which is fine. My problem is that they don't want to give me my down payment back. I have received threats from the sales people and financial advisor telling me that I will be arrested and numerous text messages especially from Danny. I have screenshots from Danny's messages his number is **. I will be posting these messages to social media and contacting news channel about this scam. All I want is my down payment back since they want the vehicle back.

I'll tell it from the beginning. My wife found a great price on the internet for a used car with low mileage and it was last year's model. So we packed our 3 month year old baby and drove to Major World in Long Island City, NY. We arrived at Major World and was greeted by a salesman. We told him we would like to see the car on the internet and gave year, make and model number. He checked with his supervisor and then he said, "unfortunately it has been sold, but we can show you another car." We sat with the salesman's supervisor and had a great conversation. We did not find a car for us that day, so we left.
Two days later Major World advertises on the internet another great deal. This time I went to check by myself if the car was available. I arrived and was greeted by a tall Dominican salesman which always wears a hat. This guy turned out to be the worst salesman on Major World's team. The worst salesman on Major World's team, and the worst experience I had with this guy. I told him from the beginning I just want to check if the internet car is available. But this salesman just wanted to take me to sign some papers. This guy would not understand, he just kept insisting I sign some loan papers, or some credit approving paperwork.
Throughout this process this salesman was communicating with someone on his phone. He told the other person on the phone in Spanish "I'm not doing anything, just wasting my time with this customer, because he will not sign any paperwork. He does not want to go in and sign the papers. Let me see what he wants to do." So, he tells me "If you do not sign the paperwork then there is no car here for you." He would not show me the car I wanted to see. He went as far to say, "The car is not here. It has been sold."
I was insulted and humiliated by this salesman, so I asked for his manager, and as I was calling the phone number he gave me, he slithers away, and the phone number he gave was disconnected. It was fake. I turn around and asked the first guy I saw "where is management?" He says "why", and I explained to him what just happened. As I was telling him my story, he was shocked from this salesman's behavior. Anyway he was nice enough to show me the car. Now that I finally saw the car, I could tell my wife it is available. So I go home, pack up my 3 month old and take my wife to see the car on the same day. The salesman who greeted us took us straight to Omar. Omar takes us to Sergio, where we sat and tried to get a lower price. So we settled on a price and we were told everything is included. I gave my cash deposit and I was told to get the insurance, to complete the sale.
My wife and I came back the next day with the insurance. Sergio gives us the paperwork and he jacks the price up $2000. I tell him yesterday we agreed on the final price and now today it's $2000 more. Now he refuses to give us yesterday's price. Sergio really put my family in between two hard places. I bet the 90 day money back guarantee Omar told me about is ** too. Now I have gone $2000 over my budget, and 2 months later after I purchased the car it is having transmission problems. I called Major World and they give me a car appointment for 1 month from now. I want that $2000 back and for Major World to look at and fix the car ASAP. This is a 2016 Dodge Journey bought used with 4000 miles, and it was guaranteed to be free from any defect or just cancel the transaction and give all my money back.

Every time you call, no one knows anything and everybody is manager to someone and they all work closely with the owner which has 5 names already. I came into Major World looking for a particular car when I was immediately helped and greeted by Kevin the Sales manager. After Kevin welcomed me to the dealership and got an idea of what I was looking for he introduced me to one of his Salesman Delvin who also provided me with excellent customer service. They helped me work through and understand the car financing process while giving me professional advice on the best choices for my financial situation. After browsing the lot for numerous options, Delvin the salesperson showed me a car that I didn't come in looking for but immediately caught my eye. They kept me updated and were persistent with my best interest until I was out the lot with the car. I would definitely recommended friends or family to purchase a vehicle from Major World as long as it's with the same sales team that helped me. Thank you!

Tina **, Michael **, and the rest of the staff are only there to do one thing: TAKE YOUR MONEY. Mike showed me and my wife some cars for about 20 minutes and then he started to throw in prices of other cars that are seemingly cheaper than the ones we were interested in. 1 car stood out and we started making plans to purchase but we had to come back another day to finalize the deal. While home I decided to look up the car on their website. It was listed over $6,000 less than we were told. When we asked about it, we were told a series of lies as to why we wouldn't be given the price that was clearly shown (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT). They did their best to dodge the question as they pushed the paperwork through in lightning speed.
As if it could get any worse, the car showed up after "servicing" with the gas on E. When it was time to put gas into it THE LEVER USED TO OPEN THE GAS HATCH DID NOT WORK. Now I am the proud owner of an overpriced Camry with no gas and NO WAY TO GET GAS. Major World doesn't even deserve the 1 star that I am forced to give it. I bought a BMW X5 2011 April 20, 2016. After four months of buying a car a warning came on the screen. Seatbelt malfunction. I took the car to BMW. They told me it was a sensor and I paid to get get it fix. The same week I felt a slight vibration in the steering. In all I spend $285 to get these things fixed. Next week I was driving home another light pop up on the screen. Engine malfunction. Reduce speed. I took it back to BMW A service department where a lady in service department told me to bring it back to the dealer where I bought the bmw.
I went to major world service department where they spent four hours trying to find the problem. The mechanic came back and said he's not sure what the problem is and that I should bring it back tomorrow. I ask him about the engine malfunction if it's able to drive properly. He said when the light comes on I should stop, turn off the car, wait, and then turn it on back. I explained to him that I work in Connecticut and I have to drive from Connecticut to New York every day. I cannot shut off the car on the highway. He said he's unsure what to tell me but that I should bring it back tomorrow.
This is one of the worst experience in my entire life. They sell you defective vehicle that always been having problems. I paid $23,000 for this car and in less than four months the car is giving problem. I will be going back tomorrow. After tomorrow if the problem is not fixed I will be seeking legal advice. My advice is to everyone if you want a vehicle go to the right dealers. If you want a bmw go to bmw. If you want a Lexus go to Lexus not to major world.

My husband needed a reliable car to get to and from work. Going to Major World has to be one of our biggest mistakes. We were looking for a reliable used car that would fit our tight budget. There was an excuse for every used car we wanted to see and they had the audacity to tell us that we were better off getting a new car. The salesperson who originally greeted us and started showing us cars excused himself when his shift was over and somebody else took over. There were way too many people involved, no personal experience. We were then sat at a table in a room that was hot, dirty and filled with probably over 100 others.
THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PRIVACY INVOLVED WHILE DOING PERSONAL PAPERWORK. It took over 5 hours for this horrible experience and had we not needed the car, we definitely would have walked out. I was also told by an associate there that it was a good thing we were getting a new car, if it was for a used car the process would have took longer. I was told they were telling those people to go home and come back in a few hours.
Everyone should be treated equally and everyone's time is valuable. In the long run we did not get anything in the price range we needed and had originally explained to them. They lied from the time we walked in and throughout the entire process. I absolutely cannot wait to be done with this lease as I will NEVER EVER step foot in Major World or ever recommend them to anyone.

Now the truth is if I was able to undo my purchase I would. Beware of the managers fast talking and the other tactic of making you wait 4 to 5 hours for them to do the paper work after they have you wore down due to leave. They hope you don't read the contract and just sign. They got me. They told me that the two year service contract came fixed in the agreed price. After waiting almost 5 hours and 1 hour late for work they slipped an extra 2000 in the price. I caught it when I got home. I called them. They denied saying it and told me I already signed. Too late. I learned a lesson and must live with it but don't buy nothing from them cause there are many honest dealers out there. Don't get scammed as I did.

I leased a Chevy Equinox 3 years ago and the lease expired on June 2 of 2016. I called Major World and they told me to bring my car over. I arrived to the location June 6, around 5 pm. When I arrived I was told to go around a few blocks and to look for some guy named Dennis. When I arrived to the location I was told that Dennis left already. Even though it was still early (5:23) he was already out for the day.
When I spoke with an employee to see if there is anyone else he told me that only Dennis handles the lease and that Dennis usually leaves early every day even though he is scheduled to stay until 6 pm. I spoke to another employee and he called Dennis on his phone. I spoke to him and he told me to call him the next day to make an appointment. I called back on Tuesday and he said to call back in 2 hours. I called back around 11 am and he said to call back around 2 pm. I called at 2 pm and he hanged up numerous times. I called around 5 pm and he said to call back the following day.
Now, Wednesday we went through the same routine. He says the shop is full, can't take any cars and for me to call back in a few hours. I called GMC frustrated at this point, and they said to call any other dealership. I called Forest Hills of Chevy and another in Long Island and they told me the same thing, that IF I'm not buying a new car from them then they can't take my lease car and for me to call Major back. I called GMC and they asked to continue dealing with Major. I called Dennis back on Thursday, same routine, but this time he hanged up a few more times and even send me a text "can't talk right now". I called around the time he asked, and his phone goes straight to voicemail. I called Major World to speak with a manager and it was horrible.
First I was explaining my situation to a person who was the manager and I got transferred midway into the conversation. I then had to explain myself to some guy who kept cutting me off and was raising his voice over the phone. He kept telling me to "deal with Dennis", that "it is my responsibility to deal with Dennis". At that point I knew I was dealing with an unprofessional so I asked if Dennis had a supervisor and he said "No" and hanged up on me. I called GMC to explain the situation. They asked me if I know any other dealership, which is useless since these dealerships aren't going to take my car unless I give them my money. It's Thursday, June 9th and I still this car with nowhere to take and a guy, Dennis, who no longer pick up my calls who according to Major World has no supervisor. I have already made complaints to GMC and GM financial. I also made other numerous complaints online.

When I went through the car one day to install new wiring it had driver side damage that wasn't on the carfax and in Jan. 2015 the engine died at 173000 miles, so I went to Major World for a 2nd time due to being hired at a high paying job. I needed wheels to get around quick. One of the dealers showed me 3 cars but none of them wasn't what I wanted. I said something under $10k. My credit was fair, but they said go higher cause I won't get something at that price range.
In the back of the lot there was a 2007 BMW 328i, I said "maybe this car." The dealer said 12k with 56k miles. Carfax showed 4 co owners for the first purchase then 2. Not only I got the car but someone else had eyes on it and came with a loan from their bank. I told the dealer let the person have the car. There's more on the lot I like. They said I'm their 2nd time buyer so first come first served since I had down payment on hand. This car wasn't the price after the paper was done - everything came to $17,300. $320 monthly. This car had side damage before. It's been in the shop 5 times for warranty work and body shop twice to get frame level and bumpers replaced. My wife & I went here to look for a car within our budget. After being in regular contact with the dealership managers for two weeks, I made them aware of my needs, & the fact that my credit was not good at this time. From the start it began to bother me that the correspondence while consistent, was always changing. Each person wrote "manager" as their title.
After having "bared my financial soul" via email to one manager along with what I was looking for, when we showed up at the dealership, I was passed to 2 totally different people I had never spoken with. We sat in a large space with tables that resembled a prison visitor's waiting room with hundreds of other people for over 4 hours, only to be told that they had tried 6 different banks & that none of them would approve me for 0-down without a person to co-sign for me, after having taken us all over the lot looking at cars in specific areas. When I asked him about a Hyundai Elantra 2013 that they had listed as $8,995 he automatically brought us to one that was missing the left door handle, with a deep dented scratch on the side as if it had been side-swiped by a much larger vehicle, saying "That's why it's that price."
Hospitality towards us was non-existent, whereas walking thru the lot where other dealers shielding their customers with umbrellas from the hot sun. This pimp-looking runt we had left us standing out there while he went back inside to see if I would be approved for the car we stood in front of. Another no. Then he came back telling us we could get a brand new Chevrolet Cruze with rebates for 0 down at $350.00 per month. He came back with a no on that too.
Now mind you, when we got home I looked at my credit report to see what was so damned horrible that I couldn't even get the lowest loan amount in Major World & I am in debt for less than $8,000! They need to stop advertising that they can find a car for anybody, because it is surely a lie. When I do get the funds to make a sizeable down payment, I definitely will NOT be going back to Major World.

First oil change light then camera shuts off and car doesn't start. 23-point inspection done same day?

Online you are able to see a car that fits your budget, run an estimate on monthly payments, decide what you can more or less afford based on that info, only to find out when you get there that what's shown online is untrue. There were two cars I was interested in, both quote in the 20K and they "graciously" gave me a $5K discount (seriously???). They are pushy, misleading, and really come across as sleazy.
I've read good reviews, however, I happen to know for a fact that Major World "encourages" their buyers to post good reviews with an exchange for something (this person got more oil changes thrown into the equation). I do not believe any of the good reviews (not that there are many). Third incident -2/6/15 again, "Service Stabilitrak", "Traction Control Off" & "Reduce Engine Power" lights come on as I am driving to work on a busy highway with my children in the vehicle. Engine begins to reduces power while on the highway and I had to put on the hazard lights immediately and safely navigate vehicle off the highway to a safe area. Fourth incident -2/9/15 ONCE AGAIN the same occurrence except now the car's engine powered down so fast that the car reduced speed to less the 20mph and the engine began to shake the ENTIRE vehicle WITH MY CHILDREN IN IT.
I immediately turned on the hazard lights and attempted to merge off the nearest highway exit into oncoming service lane traffic to safety. I immediately shut off the vehicle. Once to safety and parked in a safe place, I called Major World. I was told that the vehicle was out of warranty since August and I will have to pay out of pocket for any service to this vehicle. This is unfair! The vehicle is falling apart and I have to PAY to keep it together and I only had it 10 months? AND STILL PAY THE MONTHLY CAR NOTE???? TOTALLY UNFAIR!!! I FEEL CHEATED!!!!!

Bottom line is this: I was cheated out of money. The finance guy showed me a worksheet with all my numbers on it- after reviewing the paperwork I signed, the asking price of the car was inflated by one thousand dollars in my contract. From reading other reviews here it seems this is common practice for them. Isn't it illegal!?!? It was bad enough they were swindling me in the first place (after I left and went home I found the car I purchased listed online for 17,880- they told me when I was bargaining that 19990 was the absolute lowest they could go- then they charged me 20990 plus all the taxes and fees- total bs) BUYER BEWARE.

On the month of October of 2012, I went to your facility to view your many cars in your lot. After some time Bappi if I recall was the rep that assisted with my purchase of a Mercedes 2011 R350 after a trade in for a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 78k miles ($4K) and $1K. Recently I went to get look for a recall that Mercedes had on their website for a cam-solenoid that was changed free of charge. My dilemma is when I bought the car (1) the second key spare key wasn't available for me; (2) neither was the owner manual. (3) The auxiliary battery since the dash light was on display which is in the car that was another reason I went to Mercedes wasn't stock from Mercedes Benz also; (4) the rotors or (5) break pads weren't either.
I'm kinda lost since I purchased the car with a tag of $50k with 4900 miles with no valid warranty. They said it expired in August 2014. The salesman from your dealership told me 50k miles yet to this date I have under 29K miles. But these items were not included to be new since I purchased the car for used, fairly new, with an issue since it was in a crash from the previous ownership. The battery needs to be addressed also with the other notes I mentioned previously promptly.
Yet another note: Also in December that same year I went again to get another car with a $1K down, a new 2013 Malibu almost $37K, but didn't receive a rebate $200 recommendation cash card.

I called and they conformed the price which was $6000 under the book value. Once I got there, I was approached by a salesperson. I showed him the advertisement and he asked me how am I paying. As soon I said cash, his whole attitude changed. We started to walk to find the car in the lot, that's when he said that he is not sure if the mileage on the odometer was the actual mileage. I figured that he was trying to discourage me so I said that I will check Carfax report and it should show the mileage.
When we got to the car, then he said that the car was involved in accident and it had a salvaged title. So walked out knowing that he did not want to sell the vehicle at the advertised price. They do false advertising to bring people to the business. And they don't want to sell if costumer is paying cash because then they cannot charge financing fees etc.

I purchased a new 2012 Chevy Cruze from Major Chevrolet in August 2012. I am having problems with my car and it hasn't even been a year since I purchased it. I have been to Major's repair shop. They are rude, made me wait an entire day since 7:30AM despite scheduling an appointment, left at almost 4PM unsatisfied. They claim they made a computer upgrade and there was nothing else wrong with the vehicle. New car and driving in very hot weather with no AC. If I turn the AC on my car loses power and when I do turn it on, AC works horrible anyway (sweating bullets in my car with the AC on). Have been to their repair shop 3 times only to be told nothing is wrong. The explanation I got from "Chris" in charge of service is that "the car works as it was designed to work". Called and requested to speak to the manager only to be transferred to his voicemail and I have YET to get a courtesy return phone call.
Called GM who claims Major World told them my car is working as it was designed to work and I am unhappy with my 4-cyl vehicle because I previously owned an 8-cyl vehicle. Made attempts to make a deal to change the vehicle to a new 2013 vehicle only to be asked for a $5,000 deposit. ARE THEY INSANE? I gave a $3,500 deposit on a new vehicle months ago. Is it my fault they sold me a vehicle with problems and refuse to fix it? NEVER EVER go buy a vehicle from Major Chevrolet.. Horrible service.. They attack you like sharks the minute you walk in the door... Once they make the sale they could care less about customers... give you the run around... have a nasty attitude no customer service what so ever... They didn't even give me the courtesy of giving me a loaner despite being a new car I purchased from them and leave me sitting there for hours waiting for service on my car.
We should do a class action lawsuit... All the unsatisfied customers who have been sold LEMONS should join forces and sue Major Chevrolet.. expose their business tactics... I am now driving a new vehicle which I have used for 12,000 miles without an AC sweating bullets when it's hot outside.. There is a nasty smell of burnt rubber that no one can explain what it is and stuck paying a vehicle that is making me miserable.

After having my Mustang for 13 years, I was looking to get a bigger, newer car and looked at Major World online. I liked the look of a few SUVs so I called for the prices and was told I had to make an appointment with them, that they couldn't give me the information over the phone as they work with what a customer could afford. So I made an appointment for that Sunday. Over the following days, I made several calls to them to check what I needed to bring. I explained that I didn't have any cash to put down on a new car, and they said they'd take my Mustang as a trade-in OK on the down payment. I also told them that I had paid cash for my car 13 years earlier so I had never financed a car before and that this had been an issue in the past with other dealerships. I was reassured that wouldn't be a problem and that my appointed salesperson, Savvas, would do all he could to make sure I drive away with the perfect car.
When I got to Major World, which by the way is over an hour away from me, I was met by Savvas who promptly turned me over to another salesperson (I don't know his name as he never introduced himself). This new salesman ushered me into a shabby room packed with other customers and told me that before we could proceed, he would need to run a credit check! He gave me the paperwork. I filled it out and he took it away. He was back in minutes and told me that because I had never financed a car, that the bank considered me a high risk and that I would need to put down $5,000 to show good faith to the bank!!! I told him I didn't have any money to put down, and he just told "then I can't help you" and walked away! He didn't even look at my Mustang to trade it in, didn't even attempt to work with me at all! I left, disgusted.
When I got home, my wife called to find out how it was that is been pretty much guaranteed to leave there with a new car but hadn't even got passed the first phase and was told a sales manager would call back. An hour later, no one had called so my wife called again and was told "Honey, it ain't even been a half hour yet!!!!” We did receive that call back... the next day! By that time, I had already arranged to go to a different dealership where they DID work with me. They DID take my Mustang as a down payment (in fact they gave me $3,000 for it), and I DID drive away with the car of my dreams, a 2012 Ford Escape. Major World falsely advertises that everyone gets approved or that you don't have to put any money down. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, EVER!

I went into Major World because I trusted the sales guy. My husband had bought a car from him before, and he was such a great sales guy we went back to him 3 years after. We were so wrong in going to this dealer and dealing with this sales guy. At the time I was expecting my first baby. I went in to trade a 2011 Honda Accord (which I regret doing so). We traded it for a Mercedes Benz ML350. Having a baby on the way, we wanted a safe and reliable car; we wanted to make our baby as comfortable as possible. At two months of having the ML350, we had to do a service on the car costing us $490.00. Two months later, this car started having trouble. Check engine light was constantly on and off. We finally fixed it after spending a total of $2,590. We took it back to Major World to see if we could trade it for something safer, and they would only give us $18k for it after we bought it for $33k. We walked away.
We went to a MB dealer and they told us that they could not take our car as it had structural damage, and they could only give us $14k for it. I was so devastated. I have been driving a car that is not safe at all with my newborn in it and on top, this sales guy knew about the structural damage all along. We went back and forth to Major World to trade this car, but all the other cars had accidents. Most of their cars have accidents, and they are really bad accidents. Please, do not waste your time and money with this dealer. I’m stuck with paying for this car until the end. Save yourself the hassle and go to a reputable dealer. We even took about 3 other people to the same sales man because we thought highly of him - Alphonso is his name. He really knows who we are. You are worthless.

Please stay away from Major World - They advertised a Rav 4 at a great price. I called the dealership and asked for pictures. They said they had none but it was still available. When I got there, it had back-end damage. I was out of luck and far from home - Mehoopany, PA. I looked through the lot and was quoted an ok price on a Matrix. We did the paperwork and they overcharged me on the quoted price. It took forever to get out of there, but when I did, they did not have all the keys for the car. The salesman was supposed to call back. It was the dirtiest place I have been in, with the rudest people. They do not care about service after the sale and will lie and trick you anyway they can. Please stay far away from them.

New York state, why are these people still in business! I went in to purchase a vehicle advertised on the internet, i.e., an internet special, a Jeep Liberty for $5,995.00. Instead, they tried to sell me a new 2012 Cruz or 2012 Corolla, which I did not want. They tried to force a 2009 Altima (sounds like the one already complained about); they took me via golf cart in the very back lot. The car was in a ditch and did not start. I told him I do not want this car. They claim they help with credit, but it's a come on, and it's a bait and switch tactic. I even considered it, but then they told me the price of the car was $14,995. OK, but the financing made it $31,828 - that’s almost double.
I clearly stated I did not want this crap. Peter, a salesman, began banging on the desk - ranting and raving like a lunatic and blamed president Obama. That’s why they charge extra fees. That was their commission. I was ready to purchase. I would not recommend this business to even my worst enemy. This business is unethical, and from reading all the complaints, it is unbelievable that they are still in business. One last caveat, a young lady called to follow up with a brief customer service survey. She spoke so fast I did not understand her, but I explained to her what happened, and she was very apologetic. She stated she will make the facts known.

I went in looking for a used vehicle and ended up purchasing a new vehicle with no gas! Yes, no gas! After hours of sitting around waiting for them to get the numbers right (he tried to give me less than what he told me for my trade-in), we got in our brand new 2012 SUV only to realize there was no gas! The sales rep told me I had to figure it out. "There is a gas station around the corner"! I went inside to speak with the finance officer and she said "we can give you a $50 voucher", which by the way is nothing when the gas price is $4+ and you just bought a $50,000+ SUV. I then proceeded to the gas station when the vehicle stalled! That's only one issue!
They promised an iPod in black within a week and sent me a pink one week later, only after getting two general managers involved! I can't think of the other GM's name, but he was very rude when I told him that he was not fulfilling his agreement. I had to wait for my 2nd key for my vehicle to be mailed to me because they could not find it and of course, didn't tell me until I was ready to drive off! As of today, April 2012, I still have not received my warranty refund! At first, they said it would be about 30 days and now more than 2 months later, nothing! Keep in mind, I cancelled this warranty not even a week later after purchasing it in early February. The employee on the phone said "it could take up to 4 to 6 to 8 weeks"!
OK, but it's now going on 3 months! I am paying all of the interest on this warranty that I no longer have! All I can say is run! I don't know how they are still in business with their horrible customer service and management!

I returned the car in March 2011 for them to repair. I made an appointment with Audi for overall check before 50,000 miles. They never returned the car to me saying "we don't have it", then "we don't know what I'm talking about". We had a few verbal confrontations with the salesman and staff at Major World. I tried to speak with Mr. M. He said his job is exclusively the credit/finance department. I tried to speak by phone with Mr. P.
Some of the persons who attend my call said they do not who Mr. P. is; another said he is not there today or he is not available. I thought they were not taking my deal seriously. I emailed the sales manager Mr. D., no answer yet. On 11/10/11, I spoke with Mr. M. and he said that the minivan Dodge Grand Caravan 2003 was not available for mechanical problem. The transmission is in bad condition and he offered me to choose another car and start over the deal. My answer was to choose not the other car; instead, I want to go to other dealerships because of the lack of respect with the customer. Was not experience. I don’t recommend someone looking for a car. Lies on top of lies.
November 13, 201. I signed off a "customer refund request." This is form was pre-elaborated and was filled out for Mr. M. Reason for refund: cancelled deal, bad transmission on vehicle. After all the paperwork he said that the waiting time for the check will be no more than ten business days. If I had more questions later than that day, I should be calling Paola. I called Paola on November 23 and 24. I left recorded messages with my information and reference to the matter. Today is November 28, 2011. I called again and spoke with Stephanie.
She asked for my information, receipt numbers, dates, and salesperson dates; she asked a lot of questions because her department did not have all the documents to process the refund because of somebody else’s mistake. After all the conversation, she asked to call back 5 days later. I need my money back. I do not want people blaming others, giving excuses, and getting unreturned calls or more disrespect. Due to the fact that I was asking for $150.00 a month, which it was a $15.00 difference. $6000.00 in the 40 months and they just have to adjust the month to 48 months, maybe. They would rather lose $5000.00 down for the $15.00 adjustment on the months. In my opinion, this is bad business. Based on their advertisement, they have to make it happen for the customers. Apparently, a considerably new 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe started to shake, which made me nervous. I took it to Major World and they said that they would cover it. Okay, nice. But it has been nearly 15 days and they still have the car. No looks of recovery. Nissan has it and they don't seem to find out how to fix it.
So, according to New York's lemon law, I am entitled to a refund since the vehicle was out of service and out of my hands for 15 days, including weekends (they are open during weekends). However, they just ignore me every single time I go there to confront them about it . It was the worst experience I have had from a dealership. Please do not buy from here at all.
Their reputation is like saying that they don't have cars worth anyone's while. Do not waste your time. I hope that this comes through in the best possible manner because I am looking into confronting them Monday of next week, 10 Oct 11. Buy a car from the direct dealership; certified pre-owned is your best option.

I purchased a 2006 Chrysler Sebring in Jan 2008. Since i purchased the car, I have had numerous problems and it has been to the repair shop more than eight times. In Jan. 2009, my car began shutting off while I was driving and overheated five times I was told by the mechanic in major Chrysler that my fuel pump needed to be changed because there was a leak and the antifreeze was somehow leaking into the engine that made it sense. I later found out it was an oil sludge which is one of the problems Chrysler has with the engine on the 2006 Sebring 2.7V6 engine.
My mileage is in the 70,000 and I'd really want to know how a new car can have the engine die so fast. I called the dealership where I bought the car and asked if I can do a trade in because I am paying a car note for a car that don't even run David from Major Chrysler said they would not consider a trade-in and that I was either going to have to spend about $4000 for the new engine or figure something else. I feel that Chrysler cars are sold as lemons and should be responsible for their bad aluminum engines on all Chrysler vehicles. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

We purchased a used 2007 Chrysler Pacifica touring edition in Dec. '09. On our way home (Binghamton, NY) 3 1/2 hours away, we noticed that the car wasn't blowing out any heat, just cold air. So we turned around and brought it back to them and they told us to bring it to their garage. We told them the problem and then they were looking at the car and when we tried to go see what was going on with the car, they said we couldn't come in that area. Eventually, they said that someone had forgotten to put antifreeze in the car and that's why we weren't getting any heat so they put antifreeze in it and said we were good to go.
Within a month we saw that we were beginning to run a little hot and then we discovered that the car needed antifreeze. So we put some in and my companion said, "didn't you just get this car?". I said yes and I told him maybe I have a leak in my antifreeze because when I first got it, it didn't have any antifreeze in it at all. He said that's really suspicious and he got out and went to the back of my car and asked me to get out of the car and come to where the exhaust was. He asked if I see this white smoke and for me to smell it. He asked me what did it smell like, if it smelled normal and I said no, it had a sweet smell to it. He then said, "you have water coming out of your exhaust, that's not a good sign and that means you have a blown head gasket.
He told me to pop the hood and he pulled out the oil dipstick and I gave him a napkin and he wiped it and pulled it back out. He smelled it and then he asked me to smell it too. I said it smelled like antifreeze, and this is when he said, "your car is through, you have antifreeze that's in your engine from the blown head gasket, you need a new engine". I went to my house and called up Major World and I told them the problem. They told me to drive it there and I said no way, I said I wanted it towed down there and they said fine, but we would pay the cost. I said no, you're responsible. We went back and forth, eventually they were able to get us hooked up with someone that brings cars down there that they were affiliated with at one point in time. The car's stereo system and DVD system went as well in that time.
The car was down in Major World for 44 days. In that 44 days, they also sent it out to another garage, which they wouldn't give me the particulars on. When I asked them why it was there and who could I speak to from that garage, they said they had to go and hung up. I tried to speak to the salesperson, his manager, the finance manager then the owner about my car, nobody would reply, so I posted my experience on Craigslist. Then I spoke to the owner's secretary being that he wasn't even responding to my emails and said that my car's been down almost long enough now to get my money back or I should've had my car fixed by now. Nobody is giving me any answers on when I'm going to have my car back and my car's been to another garage. I've emailed the owner and he hasn't responded so if I don't hear from him, I will resort to more creative means and she said she would give him the message.
Well, I didn't hear from him so I posted my experience on Craigslist, and then he emailed me sorry and asked me to come down and talk about this first thing. I went down there and the part owner/manager started to yell at me and his secretary was swearing at me using the ** word. I find out that her dad is the other owner of the company, they were yelling at me because of the truth that I put on Craigslist, from day 1 till the day that I left to visit them. We went to the garage after Chris/owner/manager spoke with the mechanic and he said let's go see your car and see if we can work this out. They were still working on my car ,they said to go get some breakfast and come back in a couple of hours and they should be done by then. We came back and they weren't done yet, actually we waited all day.
They did put in a better entertainment system, but that doesn't completely work right and they wanted to know if we could come back tomorrow. I said no, that the stereo was taking a little long and that I live almost 4 hours away. So we went to have dinner, came back and they said everything was all fixed. They said they replaced the head gasket and put in a new CD/DVD system. Well we had it for a couple of months and then the car stopped working, we had it towed to a garage and they said when the antifreeze got into the engine, it did damage to the parts, especially the 2 bearings above the oil pump, so eventually the engine will just freeze up.
Antifreeze contains glycol. Glycol breaks down at high temperatures and when it cools back down it forms clumps. Antifreeze in your motor oil creates a lot of sludge very quickly. When sludge builds up, the oil strainer gets clogged. The clogged strainer prevents oil from getting to the motor (oil starvation). You know that oil acts as a lubricant to the metal parts of your engine. When there isn't enough oil, you'll get metal-to-metal contact. The friction this produces wears down the metal parts. If it gets bad enough - and hot enough - the moving part will get fused together -the engine will seize. Once it seizes, you'll have to rebuild or replace it. Major world has said, my car needs a new engine that matched the bill that I presented to them from them mechanic that diagnosed the car before I brought it to them, but they should've replaced the engine, not the head gasket.
But they knew my warranty would soon be expiring so they didn't repair it the way it should have been fixed. No antifreeze upon purchase, blown head gasket shortly with antifreeze in engine, then engine stops working. We've paid 8 payments and used the car 2 or 3 months plus towing fees and my transportation costs there and my time thereafter I was told that it would costs $3000.00 and I would have to pay $2200.00 out of my pocket. Ive made over $2600.00 in payments while the car could not be used and the difference in insurance when I could've have reduced the amount of coverage on it because its not on the road and my towing fees and tools and the lost wages incurred going there.

I am writing in regard to a purchase made by my fiance's mother at Major World Auto Dealership, on April 17, 2010. At the time, she purchased a 2002 Ford Windstar with approximately 119,929 miles for the purchase price of $7,548.51 (after taxes). When purchasing the car, she was told that if there were any problems she could bring the car back to be repaired at no additional cost, within the month.
After a week had passed, the dashboard light registered a check engine signal, and she experienced trouble with her breaks, upon which she immediately called and was told to bring the car in. She brought the car in and they changed the breaks, and the check engine light was off. After another week had passed she again noticed lights, this time signaling problems with (1) traction control reading on dash, (2) ABS light, and (3) break light on dash. She called and spoke to a mechanic who asked if she had received a copy of the cars title. She informed him that she had not gained possession, and he said that she should not worry, but it was best to wait until the title came in, since she may opt to trade the car in for a more expensive, but better car.
Calling the New York State title certificate office, she was informed that the title to the car was in process and would take several weeks. On 5/19/2010, not wanting to risk losing her option to switch, she decided to bring the car in, but upon arrival was told that it was not their policy to exchange vehicles and the only option was to repair it. Additionally, as it was too late to do so then, she had to return the following Saturday. On Saturday 5/22/2010 she returned, but the lights were not on at the time. The mechanic informed her that all seemed well, and that he could not check the problem until the lights were again on.
Upon her request, he conducted an alignment check and re-aligned the car. She was advised to bring the car, if the lights went on again. That night, the lights went on, and she returned the following Monday 5/24/2010 and was told that she would have to leave the car overnight, in order for them to run a computer check. Returning the next day, she was informed that the problem was with a computer issue, and she would have to pay out of pocket- an additional $344.00 to repair the problem. When she inquired on why she was being made to pay when the problem existed a week after she purchased the vehicle she was told that this was their policy.
Assured that there was a misunderstanding, she asked me to call to confirm. I called the Major World number on the receipt many times, but no one picked up. I then called a number that was given to her and spoke to a representative, who transferred me to the repair department. Explaining my problem, he said he needed to transfer me to a manager, upon which the phone was disconnected. I attempted to call again, and again the same thing happened. I called again and explained that the phone kept disconnecting me, and he transferred me to another number that went straight to voice mail.
Remembering that she had the number of the person she was dealing with on her phone, we called him directly, and he told me that it was explained to her that any problems she had was on her, since the car had over 100,000 miles on it. He said that when cars are sold with such mileage, they are subject to an inspection, and as such the car left in perfect condition. I reiterated that this problem arouse days after her purchase, but he insisted they were no longer responsible, quoting New York's law for why the company was no longer responsible. I asked him that beyond the law was it not his company's responsibility to sell cars of quality that would last more than several weeks?
At this he said that this was risk that she took when buying a car with so many miles. I again asked if the company's reputation meant anything, and he said that it was not him, but New York law and that he was not seeing a profit from the repair, and in fact could charge $800. I told him that it did not seem reasonable that despite New York's lemon law, a person buys a vehicle and encounters problems within months and then be subjected to pay. He again said that this was a risk that she took. I asked to speak to his manager, and he replied he was the manager.
This seems to me an example of car dealership tactics that have tarnish its industry. Here a lady purchases a car, and is verbally given every assurance that any problem will be taken care of. Within a week, problems arise, and then the excuses appear. It seems to me that this organization does what it can to stay within the limits imposed by the lemon laws, while still taking advantage of those of weaker leverage. It seems only reasonable that a person buys a product, expecting the product to function properly for at least a year. Here the vehicle has been defected as of one week of purchase.
What is worst is that she was even willing to pay more for another car (switching for a car of equal value was not suggested), which to me seems absurd! How successful would American business be if products lasted less than a month, and consumers were told that their only option was to repair or replace out of pocket? It is not only the time and expense that is at stake, but a persons sense of dignity and confidence in American commerce, so essential to economic growth. It is such deceptive business practices that have contributed to our sadden economy.
It is my only hope that such practices can be addressed, so that consumers could buy with the confidence that after their purchases are made their retailers will have the pride, honor, and commitment to high standards of customer care to ensure their safety and satisfaction. This without the fear that their only response will be recitation of New York law, and/or money out of their pockets.

The insurance company showed me how my half my trunk was sunken, in which I did not notice it when I purchased the vehicle. I asked the mechanic if he did not mind checking my car out. He did and noticed that the bumper and fender where held up with sheet rock screws.
I cried but felt there was nothing I could to do I had to buy 3 batteries in the matter 9 months since it something keep draining the battery. The last straw was when I got a chip on my windshield and the gentleman called me out of my job to show me how the front windshield was held up with electrical tape. He said if a rock would have hit it, it would have just fallen toward the front seat. Once again, I was devastated how a company could do this to anyone knowing that children might be in the vehicle.
I contacted consumer affairs and they told them I knew the vehicle was in an accident, yes I knew the car was in an accident but they assured me it was not serious. They forgot to mention the car had rolled over and was practically a salvage vehicle (the car title did not mention that). After less than a year and six thousand in repair and payments, I went back to get another vehicle. I was obligated to get my next vehicle from them because the car loan would not have been written off from the original vehicle. Anyways, I ended up with another vehicle. I did not get any of the money I invested in the 1st vehicle and still paid too much for my second vehicle. I was so disgusted with them. I just wanted to get the ** out of there.
I do not recommend Major World to anyone who values their safety. They are a bunch of vultures just waiting to take advantage of people’s innocence.

On November or around that date, I purchased a car (Nissan Altima) from them. I explained to the finance guy named Friedrico that I have two incomes. I explained to him my incomes. He told me to put all of my incomes down. I got approved for a car for $12,500. I had a week or so to give him $2,000. The following Thursday, I gave him $1,000 and he told me that he got a letter from the bank stating that my income is not right and that I needed a co-signer. I explained to him that he told me to put my income down and that I have no co-signer. I returned the car that weekend and he informed me that I would get my money back. It's been over a week and a half and I have still not received my money. I've been calling and they have been giving me the runaround. They are very unprofessional and really made me think that I had the car. He basically ran my credit and took my money. I have been calling everyday and no progress.

At time of purchase, I specifically requested Gap insurance. Due to my interest rate on my auto loan, I knew it will be difficult for my loan balance to keep up with book value. The dealer said added this bogus gap, which is only in-house policy. I will have to come back to purchase from them. This has been the worst buying experience I've ever had, not counting the vehicle has been in the shop over 20 times on major issues.

Purchased a 2006 Mazda 6 with 55,000 miles for over $13,000. Within 48 hours of purchase transmission failed on car. Brought car back for to Major World service department to fix transmission. The car was out of service for 2 weeks while the transmission was being repaired. Less than two months later the car would not excel over 20 mph. Returned car to Major World service department and was told I needed to buy a new throttle that is covered under the service contract I purchased for $1,600. After the the throttle was installed I was told by Major World service department that the computer in the car needs to be replaced. The car has been in the service department for 2 weeks and 4 days. My calls are not being returned to find out about the status of my car. The car has been out of service for more than 30 days total and counting.

On 2/20/2009, I purchased a 2004 Nissan Maxima. The next day, I called because the car was making a noise (grinding/howling), and pulling to the left. I took it in on 2/23/2009. They said that no problem was found for the noise and they adjusted the tire pressure for the car pulling to the left, and I also went to pick up a shift knob since the car did not come with one. The car still had the noise. On 3/2/2009, I went in again because the noise was getting worse. I told them to check the brakes due to the noise (grinding/howling). I stood there for 9-10 hours for them to tell me that they reset my ABS.
I went home and the noise was still there every time I turn, brake, etc. On 3/23/2009, I went back because of the noise, and I reported that water came inside the car when raining from sunglasses holder. The work was performed by a person named Keyan. The car needs two rear hubs with O2 dust covers, and the problem with the leak, they found no problem. When I got in my car, I noticed that the car was still making the same noise.
On 4/1/2009, they installed the rear hubs with O2 covers, and I asked for a wheel alignment because the car still pulled to the left. The work was performed by Sergio. At the present time, brakes are still making the same noise. On 4/4/2009, I went back to complain that I have been there more than 4 times and they have not fixed the problem, and that I wanted a refund, that they need to find what the problem was for the noise and the leak (the 1st guy I spoke to said what the problem might be). I spoke to someone named Pierre ** and he told me to leave the car and I told him if he could give me a loaner car, and he was hesitant and said to call him on Monday the 6th. He also said that if they could not fix the problem, they would send it to the dealership (Nissan) and have them fix it.
So I called on Monday; he was not in. I called on Tuesday; he said he had to see and to call him in half an hour from when I called on his mobile phone. I called him back and got his voice mail. I then called the bank, and they got in contact with the owner of Major World, and the owner said they were not responsible for the brake. Under the New York State Lemon Law, they are. I think it is not my brakes but the brake system, and that it's unsafe for me and the passengers in my car. Now I am waiting to hear back from them and the Bank. I have a 60-day or 3000 miles warranty. I feel that they are waiting for it to expire so I can pay them.

I purchased a vehicle from Major Chevrolet Inc. on Feb 21, 2009. It is almost a month later and I was contacted by Derick (the finance manager/broker) who told me that my loan was not approved and I needed to return the vehicle or get a co-signer. When I told Derick that I had a co-signer, he stated that if the co-signer and myself did not reside at the same address, he would not be able to co-sign for me and the vehicle would have to be returned. I have found many complaints online regarding this problem where someone was able to drive off with a new vehicle without having been approved for a loan.

My husband and I bought a car (Chrysler Pacifica 2004) from Major World on Nov. 18, 2008. When the salesman (Phil) drove it for a test drive with us in the car, we heard a noise. We decided to buy the car but only if they fixed that problem. So the salesman said all we had to do was take it to their service department and they would fix it. Once we left with the car that day... we took it to our own personal mechanic and he diagnosed all the problems with it (Rack and pinion, sway bar link, etc.) so we brought it back to the service department that day but it was too late for them to work on it so we brought it back a few days later and husband gave them the list with all the issues it had and they fixed it.
About 2 weeks later, the check engine light turned on, so we brought it back to service but they were out to lunch so my husband was sent to the Chrysler dealer across the street and all they did was reset the computer. About 2 weeks later, the check engine light turned on again so we brought back the car to service dept. and they changed the gas cap. About 2 weeks after that, the light turned on once again but this time we brought it to our own mechanic to see what the problem was and he had noticed that gas was leaking from the gas tank so we brought it back to the Major World service department and spoke to the supervisor (Pierre). He said he would help us even though the 2-month warranty had expired because this was due to the same issue (check engine light) from the time we did have the warranty.
So we left them the car for three days, waiting for their phone call as Pierre said we would get a call. No phone call from them so we called and would get told to call back in a few hours, or we would be left on hold for 15 minutes with no response, then they had said they had ordered the wrong part so we had to wait another day until they got the correct part. Until finally, after 3 days of postponement from them, he decided to spend the whole day there until they got the car fixed.
This is unacceptable!!! Major World cannot sell cars as is. They sell it without having it serviced and checked to make sure there are no safety issues or to see if it even works. They were going to sell us the car without me even looking at the car... The doors were locked when we saw the car on the lot so I had to speak up and say I would like to take a better look at it. So that's when they got the keys and let me see the car on the inside and we also suggested a test drive. Otherwise, they were going to sell me a car without me having looked at it (only peeking in through the windows) and without having a test drive... and they sell it without checking the drivability and safety!
The service department is just another mess. I have heard so many terror stories from others in which they have had to be going back for 3 or 4 months in a row to get the same issues taken care of and how they would leave their car for 2 weeks without them calling and informing them about their car or even having it looked at without reimbursing for transportation that we had to pay for because we didn't have a car. I am highly upset with how they manage their business and stiff people... hoping that people get fed up and don't get their car serviced there or hoping that people's warranty runs out so that they don't have to service it. This has to be put to an end!!!!!

I was sold a vehicle which was switched at the end of my signing all the proper documents for the vehicle. They then brought out a totally different car. I also have had numerous problems with my vehicle (which is dangerous to drive) in which Major World, the place that sold me this vehicle, has done nothing to help me with my car. I've brought my car in several times for repair services and the same problems still persist. They even sold me my car with the Grill already broken on it. I have called them numerous times and to no avail have they been receptive to my calling them. I've spoken to different people and was even lied to by a sales person who told me he was a manager and turned out to be a sales person.
They have done nothing for me in the 60 days I had left in my warranty and before my warranty ended, I asked them what they were going to do because my warranty was ending that week and my car still had issues with it and repairs that had yet to be fixed. I was told by one of the sales clerks who told me he was a manager that I should come in the following week and that he would hook me up with an extended warranty. I asked him if he was sure and he stated, "I got you, don't worry about anything". So I came in that following week trusting that he would help me. I had come in but he was not there and I told one of the sales clerk I was there for an extended warranty and that the manager who told me to come in would assist me with that, but they asked me how much I was willing to spend. But the manager never told me I had to spend any money. So I feel like there was a breach of contract as well as they lied to me about everything from the first day. I was not told how much I would be paying for the car until they had me sign all the papers; and I never saw the car until everything was done, meaning, paper work and insurance.

I purchased a vehicle, signed the contracts. Deal done. They explained they have to check the car before I can leave with it. They call me two days later and tell me I can't have the car because it did not pass inspection and I have to get another car because it is too expensive to fix. I don't know if they are allowed to do that? I would like to report them.

On December 26th, 2008 I went to Major World to purchase a car that I saw listed on their website for $3995. When I arrived I asked the salesman to see the car advertised. Of course he states the cars were no longer available, that they had been sold. After a little debating the salesmen states he could get me a car loan. I explained that I didn’t want a car loan. He explained that he would get me a good deal. I ended up purchasing a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with 57k miles.
The next morning I noticed the car had some damage to it and the check oil light was on. I called the sales guy Phil who told me to bring the car down on Friday Jan 2, 2009. During the week I tried to subscribe to OnStar, but was unable to. OnStar advised that there was a mechanical issue and it needed to be serviced. Also during this week the CD player stopped working. So on Friday the 2nd, I brought the car back down to Major World and was directed to take the car to the service dept. At service I was told by the service manager Pierre that they would repair the CD player, the damage to the front end and that the car had already had an oil change the light just needed to be reset.
As for OnStar, they were not liable if I wanted to fix it that would cost me $258.00. I explained that I purchased the car with OnStar and that I should not be responsible for paying for it. Fast forward to Saturday January 10th, 2009. I prepare to drop the car off and was told by **, the general manager, that they are not fixing the problems with the OnStar and the body work. As of today the engine is now malfunctioning. The OnStar does not work and they never changed the oil. The only thing that has happened is the CD player was replaced.
Consequence: not able to use OnStar, engine malfunctioning

I purchased the automobile 4/22/07. Twelve days later it was in the shop for the same problems that are present today after a year and 3 months. The car in total has been in the shop for around 3 months since purchase. So that is time consuming, and rentals. Just recent the car was in the shop from 6/24-8/1 the car still not running properly or safe. The issue is not only that it has never ran properly, but its not safe. Also we determine this issue from the first two weeks of purchase and I have been paying monthly $412 for a problem. The actual probelems will be listed under consequences.
I need to fix this issue ASAP, since my profession is a must to have a car. I travel the North East all the time. Please as a consumer I just do not think this is fair. Im pretty sure you received complaints from Major World before! I took car to service more than 10 times. After months of driving the car with a problem, which are the axels and the transmission-but they only swithced the tires, roders, and oil change. While driving the left axel popped off the car and I hit the side walk. This got me a claim with my insurance, since Major world service said" it couldnt just snapped off. You had to hit the corner for it to brake." When I actually hit the corner to stop from slidding when the axel popped off.
The claim from my geico insurance payed for the axel, and got a new auto center to take care of my car. The car was not running well so Salamis Auto Center inspected the car and determine that the transmission is not good. They also added it to my claim. The car is running better than 4/22/07 when I purchased it but is still not safe. *This car has cost me money for rentals: $3,000 *Money for taking the car back and forth for service "gas" and time consument. *Repairs: $243.00 -The rest of repairs got paid from Major service and Slamis with my claim. Which up to date the car is not running safely. *claim on my insurance This car might even cost me my recent job, because Im not relaible with my car. Please contact me ASAP. Thank you in advance.

I was searching for a used car and came accross the the NY times used cars section. I pulled up several cars which were in my price range including a $1 care. I called and I was told that the car was being put aside for me to view. When I got there, none of the cars I printed from the internet were available. I was told that the cars were sold and that it takes 24 hrs for the computer to show that the cars were sold. I said but the sales person promised me that the car would be put aside for me.
I was told by the general manager that they do not even sell those types of cars to customers, only to mechanics and that they do not even know how they showed up on the NY times site, because they do not advertise with them. They offered me a much expensive car and even gave me a loan. When I got home, I was checking the information on the carfax report, and it showed that the last reported audometer was 122000, but on the sales receipt it stated 149000 miles.
I feel that something is wrong here and that I am somehow being ripped off. I do not know what to do, because I already signed all the papers and I do not know how to find out is something was ever wrong with the car. They could not give me the car on 5/31/2008, becuase it did not pass inspection. I wished I knew what to to so that I could stop them in case they are trying to ripp me off.
Thanks for the opportunity to vent my feelings and concerns.
