I couldn't be more angry with these people and their lack of service and knowledge. I took my Audi A4 into store #705 in Arvada, CO for a quick oil and oil filter change; $84.21 bill. One would think this would be pretty easy and something they couldn't mess up; I was wrong... very wrong. First the wrong oil filter was installed. The oil filter didn't fit properly, so they crammed the oil filter into the housing and it didn't fit over the tube from the oil filter housing assembly of the engine; rather pushed off to one side, crammed against the end of the tube. So a portion of the oil wasn't even going through the filter.
The old o-ring was never taken off, so there were two (the oil filter housing never seated properly), so I developed a major oil leak... oil streaming from the filter housing all over the bottom of the engine and onto my driveway. It starved the engine of oil... so I had multiple visual and audible alarms going off for both oil pressure and oil level in the engine. I now am looking at repairs anywhere from $4K-15K. I contacted them and got a very impersonal "form email" as a response. Do yourself a favor... go anywhere else!!! I am floored at the incompetence on a task as simple as this.

This place has become dangerous. I went for routine maintenance which I have done for several years. In the last year they have not put tire covers on securely, and in the most recent visit, they broke a tire strut (and said the nut was missing. It was not when I went in) and failed to check the brakes (I had to get the shoes replaced within the week). This franchise cannot be trusted with the safety of auto maintenance, and this is a major deterioration in the past year.

Had my oil changed 2 months ago. My car started smoking 2 wks ago, took it to a mechanic, Jiffy Lube overfilled my oil by 5 qts. The mechanic stated it's like they did not even drain the old oil. He did an oil change and replaced the PCV valve. I am still having problems. Never had my oil change by one of these companies, never will again.

My 18 year old daughter went to the Jiffy Lube #2017 @ 327 West 500 South in Bountiful, Utah. She told the manager that she wanted an oil change. He went through all the choices & she told him she wanted the regular oil. He told me that he asked her if she wanted the same "high mileage" oil that the previous owners of the truck was running. She said that she told him twice that she only wanted the regular oil in it. She came home & handed me a $75 receipt.
My daughter & I went back to the store & spoke with the manager. I told him why I was upset. My daughter said to him that she told him twice that she only wanted the "regular oil" in the truck. His exact words were "Well, I guess I didn't hear you then." He told me there was nothing he could do AND that I should not have sent my teen-aged daughter in to get an oil change! Really? She is 18. She is a CNA & 2 weeks away from being an EMT but not smart enough to get an oil change? I would have hoped that they would not have taken advantage of her just because she was a teen-aged girl.
Right before I left I asked him for his manager's name & number & his exact words were "No, I'm not giving it to you. You can research it yourself!" I told him he was ** & he smiled & said yep! As my daughter & I left, he & the 2 techs were laughing. My daughter said she was shocked that he was yelling at me. I called the corp office & the owner of the store called me back. He said he would give me a $20 credit back on my credit card. He apologized for his managers behavior.I will NEVER step foot in that store again!

I had an oil /filter change at the Jiffy Lube # 817 on Baymeadows Ave in Jacksonville, Florida. A few days later there was a huge oil puddle under my car. I took the car to the Lexus dealership nearby and was told the old oil plug crush washer that seals the plug from leaking hadn't been replaced and neither had both the "O" rings on the oil filter and as a result the plug worked loose and my oil ran out. I had to have another oil change done at the dealership, which by the way was less expensive than Jiffy Lube.
To make matters worse the oil had leaked out on the driveway at a friend's house and I had to pay for a professional cleaning service to clean it up. I called the Jiffy Lube manager at that location and had the service manager at the Lexus dealership tell him why and what they did, and I also had the bill reflect the problem and the fix and took that along with my copy of Jiffy Lube's invoice to the Jiffy Lube manager and he said they would return the money I paid them and pay for the cleanup. The Jiffy Lube area manager refuses to answer my calls and messages, or return my calls. Over all, that Jiffy Lube oil change has cost me $343.21 not counting my time. I was fortunate this didn't burn up my motor. Jiffy Lube # 817 Baymeadows RD Jacksonville, FL 32256 date of service 10/20/2015. Invoice # **. Transaction # **. Employees **.

I went for an oil change service at the Howell, NJ location on Sunday, Nov 29th. During the service I noticed that the technician didn't allow for the oil to properly drain & capped the drain plug. I brought it to the service manager's attention. The service manager told the technician to pull the drain plug. I thanked him. Then he proceeded to inform me that they would finish servicing my car but that I was no longer welcomed back & would no longer be serviced anymore. I have been taking my commercial & personal vehicles to this location for 5 yrs. I have never had an incident with any of the employees there. I have never been so disrespected by a service manager. This goes totally against the Pledge of Satisfaction.
I'll never go there again. They are a very busy location and it seems as if they are in the habit of cutting corners. Just because I called them out on Lack of proper Service doesn't give the service manager the right to play God and tell loyal customers not to return. The service manager needs to be more professional & have better people skills & recognize when his employees are cutting corners and putting people's vehicles at risk of motor failures because of it.

I have had Jiffy Lube change the oil in and lube my '02 Sierra PU since it was new. I had them do this several weeks ago. The crew was new and appeared GREEN. But, I let them proceed. I had a concern about the total job and, after about 3 weeks, decided to drain and check the oil and take a look at the filter. I had great difficulty getting the drain plug out. I'm surprised that, as tight as it was, the technician had not stripped the threads when he screwed it in. After draining the oil, I attempted to remove the filter. It was totally stuck and nothing I tried could budge it. Finally I punctured it side-to-side with a screwdriver. Still, I couldn't budge it. Finally, I tore the filter apart until I could bet a tool on the filter base so I could dislodge it that way. NO WAY! Finally, I had to have the vehicle towed to my mechanic. He was able to dislodge the filter (remaining part) with an air impact tool.
I contacted Jiffy Lube corporate about this. They referred the complaint to the local Tomball, TX manager. He called but never did follow up. Then, I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. Jiffy Lube never responded. After about 3 weeks I got a call from some guy that said he was the "new manager". I explained and he said he would get back to me. He never did. I then got a notice from the BBB that the complaint had been reviewed and that the Jiffy Lube District Manager had disallowed the claim and was doing NOTHING. At that point I was out something like $100 for towing and labor. But, I learned a lesson. Stay away from Jiffy Lube. I'm passing this story on to as many people as I can to get them to avoid them, too.

For many years I have been bringing my cars to jiffy lube for oil changes. This is mostly due to convenience or not having a driveway to jack the car up to drain the oil. Even when negative new reports aired about jiffy lube I ignored them considering the past good experiences I had in Chicago when I lived there. My logic was it is very hard to screw up an oil change. I moved to Washington this past year and ended up buying a 2014 Chevy Cruze in light of the move. I have gotten 3 oil changes at your Lakewood location. The 1st visit they put the wrong oil in which is an honest mistake considering I didn't even know a different oil was needed.
However the last visit I was told the drain plug was stripped and that you couldn't do the oil change. This is the last straw for me considering I have only taken this car to this location for oil changes. Logic would dictate that if I only brought it to this location than at some point an employee stripped it. Could have been the last visit or this visit. Since it was only the plug I figured no big deal. That was until the dealer told me not only was the bolt on the drain plug striped but so were the aluminum threads where they are screwed in. That means the pan also needs to be replaced.
This will cost me $510 before tax parts labor. I have been coming to jiffy lube since 2002 and am very disappointed in this location and in how low the company standards have fallen. I will not be returning. To the employee that had to read this I am not mad at you as an individual I am displeased with the company you work for. I assume you have to read a lot of these so have a Happy Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it.

Went to a local Jiffy Lube to get a routine oil change. They did everything as they should and left me with no disapproval thus far. Upon checking out they told me the tech had a slight issue putting one of the valve caps back on my tires, but was able to do so. I didn't think anything of it at the time. Now a few months have gone by and I get a warning about low tire pressure. So as I am trying to check and properly inflate all my tires I notice one cap will not come off. Tried to use pliers and the whole stem just spins. Of course the tire that is lowest in pressure is the one I can't access, go figure!
So I call the store I had went to and explained the ordeal, was told they don't deal with tires but I can bring the car in and they can see what they can do. Let's see, you did put it on wrong, admitted it and then don't want to accept blame? Professional! Once I leave work today I will be stopping by and they will fix the problem or they can pay the $60 it will cost to replace the valve stem/TPMS. I'm not paying for it, it was not my fault. I will have an update later. To be continued...

I took my one-year-old van into Jiffy Lube, Wall, New Jersey for an oil change. Van would not start and Joe ** the mechanic said some leaves must have fell under the air filter upon changing. After three hours, they told me that a sensor under the air filter was broken. I had notice that a mechanic struggled trying to get the filter in. To get my keys back I was told that I had to pay an additional $130.00. Joe ** said they didn't break it. No apology or sympathy offered. Business as usual for these clowns.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR! I went in for a standard oil change and was talked in to a coolant system and brake system flush. A few minutes into the flush the manager (Lynn) came over and told me there was a problem. He said there must have been a hairline crack in my coolant reservoir and that the flush made it worse, I would need a new reservoir to the tune of $250, and they couldn't get it today. I was forced to take a cab home (no offer of a ride) and came back the next day to get my car. I asked to see the old reservoir and when I did I could easily see they lied to me, both hose couplings were completely broken off. I complained and they told me that there would be no refund, it wasn't their fault it got broke.
The next day my car started overheating so I took it to the dealership. They found that Jiffy Lube had used the wrong coolant type (my car requires the orange Dex coolant and they used the standard green stuff). Also, the reservoir was not installed properly and was leaking from the hose couplings. I had to get the entire system flushed again and new clamps installed. Jiffy Lube refuses to cover any of these repairs and outright lies about what happened. Now they say my car had no coolant in it when I came in, but a corvette in Florida overheats if it has no coolant. I had no leaks, no overheating issues, no coolant smell, and no coolant on my garage floor, yet they say it was already broken and out of coolant when I arrived. I don't see how I drove in but had to take a cab home if they did nothing wrong.
I plan on taking this to the BBB and small claims court as I am out $450 because of their incompetence. If you care about your car, avoid this place. I should have known something was off when they left the dipstick out of the car before me and had to stop the person from leaving and reinstall it when they noticed it on the ground as the customer got in their car.

I'm a single mother working very hard to take care of my child. I got sick last year and ended up in a homeless shelter and was recently featured in the local newspaper for fighting my way back and starting a cleaning service to it's now donates for their proceeds to women's homeless shelters. I took the little bit of savings but I had paid $4,000 cash for a vehicle and cleaning supplies. 3 months later took my vehicle in for routine oil change. They did not put the plug back in correctly. My engine locked up.
Now they're trying to say they are not responsible. I asked to see a copy of the report that their so called specialists made. I was told "no", not until I signed a release form stating they had no financial obligations to my engine. I have been out of work for almost 3 weeks due to the fact I have no way to get back and forth and AM in the process of losing everything that I have work so hard to get. How could anyone ever do this to someone? My car was not convenience, it was a necessity of our survival. I am devastated. Is anyone out there read this? Please do not go to Jiffy Lube and keep my family in your prayers.

I took my daughter's 99 Daewoo Nubria to get an oil change. I was making sure to maintain the upkeep of the car because she is using it for college. I pulled up explained what service I wanted and got out of the car. After being there for 45 minutes or so I was approached by the manager who then stated that it's recommended that I have my radiator fluid flushed and wiper blades replaced. I stated that I was okay with the additional services required by the manager. Waited about an additional 40 min paid my $158 and left. All is well, right? WRONG!
Not even 6 days go by and when I go outside to warm my daughter's car up it sounds extremely loud (mind you I had recently bought the car from an old man who could no longer drive it and only having 63,724 miles on it. I even had the car looked over twice by two different mechanics that did brakes, tires and lube. No problems or leaks of any kind). So I asked my daughter how long had her car been making loud noises? She responds "about few days". Later that week she tells me that her overheating indicator illuminated, we bought some coolant to put in the car and it immediately upon pouring it into the car it spills all over the ground underneath her vehicle.
I call to complain and another manager states that it must be the water pump, I THINK NOT! If it were the water pump the people under the car during the flush would have seen the water pump leaking then. I hope they don't think just because I'm a woman that I wouldn't possess common sense. They are going to PAY if her engine is ruined.

We took our 2005 Chevy Tahoe into Jiffy Lube for routine maintenance (oil change and check fluids). Seven days later the Tahoe is running terrible. We take it to a mechanics shop and we are told there is no fluid in the transfer case, a bolt was not put back in, and it will cost $2500 for a new transfer case. We called Jiffy Lube and showed them on the invoice where it says the transfer case was checked and was full. After getting the runaround (phone calls not being returned because investigator from Jiffy Lube says he is busy looking at other car issues) we are finally told after a week that it is just a coincidence that the bolt "just happened to fall out" within seven days. We now have to borrow a vehicle while we go to court to get our car fixed. It is my opinion that Jiffy Lube is a despicable organization that will not stand by its work or its warranty.

Needed an oil change on my car. Went to Jiffy Lube, they said they will take care of my vehicle cleaning windows, and oil change in the package deal. They pull my car into the shop and can't get my car out of park and I see the driver struggling then 3 guys came and looked at the car and they said, "Have you always had this problem? Your car won't get out of park." I said, "No, it should be fine." 5 minutes later they realize you got to push down on it to move the gear over.
So while I'm waiting, I'm watching them work on my car. One of the guys was doing the tire pressure, just adding air not checking the pressure. My tires were way over pressure after they put air in them. The front and back windows got cleaned but had smear oil marks all over the windshield from their rags. They did vacuum the floors. So once my car was ready I left driving 40 miles down the road. I notice my car has loss of power. I check the oil it was low on oil. My motor started knocking really bad, had to pull over in a close neighborhood. I call them and they tell me they can't send anyone out to come check my vehicle they just worked on. Ended up losing my vehicle and job over an oil change from Jiffy Lube. Their oil is crap!! So are their filters!!! I don't recommend anyone going to any Jiffy Lube!!! They robbed me.

Worst experience of my life. Went in for oil change 9/27/15. Came out with a lemon - total loss of vehicle because of improperly installed drain cap. 10/3/2015, while driving on freeway, oil started spewing everywhere. The engine was damaged. Jiffy Lube accepted responsibility and deemed car to be a total loss. They offered less than the lowest KBB value for a different (lesser value) model and unwilling to reimburse for out of pocket expenses and inconvenience. The warranty department was beyond rude, threatening and had absolutely no sense of urgency.
The issue still hasn't been resolved and most likely I will have to go to small claims court. They offered $2,570 for 2004 Hyundai GLS, which was in excellent condition when we brought it in. I searched the entire USA and can't find similar vehicle for less than $4,500. Besides the inconvenience of buying a new vehicle and getting rid of lemon and all the ongoing costs I will likely be out $5K until I get to court.

I went to the Jiffy Lube in laurel md for a oil change on Friday October 16 2015 before a trip to NYC. An hour before I was to arrive in New York my check engine light came on and my transmission started to slip. I contacted OnStar in which they ran a diagnostic test and indicated three indicators pointed towards my transmission computer not working properly. After stopping pass an auto shop I had the computer to the transformation reset and it worked fine because I did not drive while in New York. And the ride home about two hours into my trip my check engine light came on again and my transmission started to slip yet again. By this time my RPM were revving up to about 4 to 5 notches while doing 60 on the highway. I finally made it home and set an appointment to take my car to the dealership.
When I got to the dealership my car no longer went in reverse or low gear. When the technician came back to me I was told I needed a new computer for the transmission, there's a hole in there with metal shards and fluid that was black as tar. My transmission burned from the inside out so he said it needs all that and a new transmission.
After venting on Facebook a friend of mine's indicated he went to the same shop on Saturday which was the following day from when I went in that day his four-wheel-drive light and check engine light will not go off. He too is having issues with his vehicle. He will be taking his vehicle to the shop tomorrow to see what exactly is wrong with his car. The crazy thing about it is I've had my car less than a year and lucky for me it's still under warranty. All of my paperwork indicated my car was just fine, transmission checked, fluids checked, and I get regular maintenance on my traverse. I'm not sure what they did to my car but I'm convinced they did something. There was no indication that my transmission or anything was wrong with my car until this oil change. This needs to be addressed asap. Some has to be held accountable for this.

I have had this car for over 7 years and it is no longer under warranty. I also keep my owner's manual in the car, and it says nothing about synthetic oil. After much resistance, he conceded. Later, he tried to tell me that the tires did not need rotating and 2 lug nuts with no chrome finish were rusted out. He never vacuumed the trunk as I requested and did not apply the Rain-X. It took several emails to Jiffy Lube and then me posting on their Facebook page, to finally get their attention. My experience was related to the franchise owners, who put me in touch with another manager at their store, Melissa. She remembered me and was such a huge help. She was very polite, professional and did her best to expedite my refund, which came about two weeks later. Thank you, Melissa! Not sure about going back to Jiffy Lube though, there are a lot of complaints about stupid mistakes that happen continuously. I don't want to have to go through this inconvenience again!

To make a long story short, I went to Jiffy Lube for a quick oil change. Someone did not tighten down my coolant cap all of the way. So for 5 days I was driving around while all of the coolant was coming out of my car. I didn't notice until I was on the freeway and my engine temp gauge was in the red zone and my car started dinging a warning bell. Had to pull over and found the loose cap, and discovered no coolant in car. I had to add coolant and got back home. Next day I took car back in to Jiffy Lube, they were very sorry, filled it up and sent me on my way. I got home and noticed later, there was fluid dripping all over. I took car back to Jiffy Lube the next day.
I was watching as all of the employees gathered around my car and were looking pretty serious. The rude manager came back in to inform me my radiator was cracked. As soon as I said it was from driving with no coolant, he was very quick to tell me that cannot cause a crack, and I needed to get it fixed (no kidding). I said I disagree and this was not a coincidence. At this point I knew I would get nowhere with these employees so I then went to my mechanic and he verified that yes indeed that will cause a crack. My estimate is $500 to replace my radiator. I have sent a message to Jiffy Lube's Customer Service Dept. I am waiting to hear from someone about how they intend to address this issue. Will update. If I do not get a satisfactory resolution, I will contact an attorney.

I spent about an hour or two waiting for my vehicle to be done, wasn't going to sit in the tiny waiting room. They said my car was finished and they would bring it around for me, cool thanks. Only one problem with that, not even 45 minutes into my trip and the brakes started to smoke when I stopped at a stop light. I am not one to write reviews, but the latest experience at Jiffy Lube sent me over the edge. I've been to Jiffy Lube a few times for inspection/emission. On one occasion, the tech had opened my glove compartment and sifted through my information to find my registration. I had already given them the registration card which gave them all the information they needed to do the inspection. I called and complained. They apologized and said that was not supposed to happen. On another occasion, I was told my air filter needed to be changed. The filter was fine. Jiffy Lube looks for every reason to sell you something -- especially when you don't need it.
I thought I'd give another location a try today. I told the tech I just wanted an inspection/emission and not to check the filter or anything else not related to that job. Twenty minutes later, the tech asked me to follow him. He told me they couldn't get my car to start and that the battery was bad. I had started the car several times that morning and driven it to several places. I told him to put my car down and that I was leaving. I drove 200 yards to the nearest O'Reily. They checked the battery, starter and alternator. All checked out fine. The car starts fine. The curious thing is my clock was blinking meaning someone had disconnected the battery. I've had no problems with the battery since. It fires up every time.
Every company has to have a business model and that model has to include a profit. I think Jiffy Lube's business model includes selling customers on every single item they can find regardless of whether it's justified or even true in some cases. Buyer beware -- they will sell you new floor mats if they could and might even claim it's a required item for the inspection. Not a trustworthy company.

I recently (Oct. of 2015) went to Jiffy Lube in Independence MO for an oil change and they put 2 quarts TOO MUCH in. I drove 100 miles west before I realized it. White smoke came out of my exhaust and there were noises under the hood. I finally checked the oil myself and found it was overfilled. So, I took it to Jiffy Lube in Topeka to fix the problem. They confirmed it had too much oil by 2 quarts and they drained the oil and put more back to the right level -- but no one was concerned that it could have hurt my engine (and an engine was just put in a few months earlier). I was annoyed with this. I tried to file a claim with Jiffy Lube, thinking they'd take responsibility -- but they didn't.
And the woman in the Jiffy Lube corporate office who handles claims, whose name is Shanta, was rude to me and not nice. She kept me on hold (I think on purpose to antagonize me), she got me confused with claim, and didn't call me back when I called her and left a message. And then when she said someone would contact me regarding this, no one did.
I think very little of Jiffy Lube. I think people need to know they don't guarantee their work or their mistakes, even though it says in their building they do, they really don't. Beware of them and you're better off going to a real mechanic to get a oil change. Jiffy Lube isn't reliable and they aren't responsible, as they should be, when they make a mistake. I know this first-hand. I regret ever going there and I'll NEVER DO IT AGAIN. And when I asked for paperwork that shows too much oil was put in and the excess oil was drained out, I was refused this. Obviously Jiffy Lube doesn't want me to have proof of their mistake.

Then I went to Les Schwab to check the problem, they told me there is no problem, all parts in the front end of my car are function properly. They don't see nothing wrong. I went back to Jiffy Lube. I talk to the same technician. He said he will not pass the inspection because he not agree with the mechanics. I think he just want to give me a hard time. Now I don't know if I ever go back to them again for any car care.

400 Weston Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513 - I went for a state inspection for my vehicle at this location on Sept 24, 2015 since it is near to my office. This was my first ever inspection since my car is new. I called up before going and I was told that it would take only 15 mins and since my car is new it would only involve safety inspection. When I reached there, I was asked to wait in the waiting room for about 35 mins.
After the inspection was done, the lady called me up to the reception for payment. She was not polite at all. When I saw the bill, it was $10 more. They had charged $10 as tint test fee. This was not told to me before they took my car for inspection. Since it was my first inspection I was not aware for this fee. When I asked what does that test mean, she was very rude and was not willing to answer. I asked again and then she said it is for verifying that tint is correct. My point is this should have been told to me before starting with the inspection. Overall I wasn't happy with the treatment I received at this Jiffy Lube location. I don't think I am ever going to visit this location again and would be suggesting my friends and colleagues not to go there either.

On August 18-2015 my mother had her 1 & last service done with Jiffy Lube. She was getting ready for a road trip & like always make sure her car gets checked, oil changed, etc.. a 2007 Hyundai Sonata perfect condition, road trip is great - 2 days later (oil change good for 3000 miles) she went 300 miles.. all the sudden car starts knocking badly, take it shop. They say "no oil, you need new motor!" She is shocked, she has never had any issues with car. After continuous investigation all damage is caused due to no oil & points to Jiffy Lube.
We file a complaint. They send a non mechanic - states oil cap is not loose so they determine they're not at fault.. This is not right! Jiffy Lube is responsible & we just want them to take responsibility and do what's right (good customer service) instead my mother is out a car & had no money to fix motor. She's 60 yrs & still owes on this car.. Jiffy won't return calls or give any notice. I will make sure I tell everyone I know how ignorant, & what disregard for good customer service they do & pure negligence.

I got my oil changed from their service center, and after a few weeks it started knocking. My oil showed full by the gauge kept saying low oil, high temp. I got into my driveway and it started knocking. I left it and called my dealership where I got it and they towed it and said the motor was blown. I had it towed back to my home cause could not pay for it to fix. I am on a set income and could not afford a new motor. I now have saved the funds after a couple months and having no car, and had it towed again back to the shop and it will cost me $2500 to fix if not more depending on what else they find. I will never use JIFFY LUBE again, and I promise they will not get recommended and everyone I see I will be telling them to RUN AND RUN FAST AND FAR.
UPDATED ON 10/14/2015: Ruined MOTOR - OIL CHANGE SERVICE. I had my car oil changed at the store location #2908 in Olathe Kansas and once that happened my car motor acted up and had it towed to the shop in Merriam Kansas Country Hill Motors. Jiffy Lube sent out an adjuster to see if they was at fault. The adjuster basically just opened the hood and look at the engine, they said was not at fault. I had it fixed at my expense total of $2500, plus $110 for tow. The mechanic said there was OIL EVERYWHERE ON THE ENGINE. Hmmm Jiffy Lube was only ones to touch car, can we say uh oh made a mistake. Just think they should offer refund since was proven by mechanic Jason who repaired my motor.

Jiffy Lube is ripping people off. They advertise $19.99 oil change, but my actual bill for an oil change runs about $80. They add charges like "special filter charge" for changing my oil filter for an extra $20. The base oil change itself was $60 with an extra $7.50 added on top for 5W20 synthetic blend. Then for a tire rotation it is an extra $35.99. That is insane!!! The local Ford dealership uses a very similar blend and even rotates the tires for under $40. I think many people believe that Jiffy Lube is fast and cheap. They are neither.

I looked online at the Jiffy Lube website and saw a deal for a 21 dollar oil change. I showed up in my car which has 74000 miles on it. The "customer service rep" suggested the high mileage oil change to which I said sure. He informed me it would be 69 dollars for the oil change. After picking my jaw up off the floor I said "no friggin way." He said the standard oil change is 49 dollars. I was getting ready to leave when he told me that they could do the basic oil change for 25. I said go ahead, after much eye rolling from this idiot he leaves and "assists" the technicians with the oil change. He comes back in trying to upsell me on every service under the sun saying that my car was due for it.
After every refusal this moron rolls his eyes and acts like I'm inconveniencing him by my presence. He then carries in my engine and cabin air filters asking "Are these dirty enough for you" and quoted me 30 dollars for the cabin air filter and 20 for the engine air filter. To which I decline. This condescending little twit then sweeps the dirt off the counter into my air filter and takes them out and re-installs them on my car laughing about it with the other scholars working there as though I'm not watching him through the big window between the office and car bay. The oil change seems to have been done adequately but the customer service was absolutely horrendous. I will never go to any Jiffy Lube again after dealing with these idiots.

Now the local Ford dealership states that this WILL totally ruin my transmission, which now after driving for 25 min. will not go over 30 mph, after leaving a stop light, or pulling out onto a busy hwy. On 8-15-15 I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change with my 2013 Kia and the manager stated that the clips that hold the air cabin filter in place were already broken and that they didn't break it (odd I never had anyone check it before). When the vehicle was given back to me after the oil change the glove box was left opened and almost on the ground without placing it back in its original position and with all my papers on the floor. As I drove away the check engine light went on and stalled at the STOP sign. I turned it back on and at the traffic light it stalled again. I contacted Jiffy Lube and spoke with the manager and he stated to bring the vehicle back. As they were checking the vehicle he stated that when they pulled out the air filter debris fell into the lines and ruined a couple of sensors. They stood with my car leaving me stranded and returned it on Sunday morning.
When they arrived they were quick to leave and I told them that I wanted to test drive it first and sure enough it stalled on me 3 more times. I handed the vehicle keys back to the manager and stated that it was still stalling and that I wanted a perfectly good driving vehicle back as the way I gave it to them the day that I handed the keys over for the oil change. The vehicle was brought back to me Sunday evening and when I was going to work Monday morning the vehicle stalled on me many more times. I called the shop back again and once again I was in their shop trying to fix the prob. I was so upset that I told them that I was taking it to the dealer and the invoice will be given to them once I receive it for payment.
When I took it to the dealer the service advisor stated that when Jiffy Lube removed the air filter they were supposed to vacuum out the canister where the filter is placed in because it collects dirt and he stated that even a wing from a fly can ruin the performance of the vehicle. Kia service advisor also stated that it damaged the main one which was the cam shaft sensor. This sensor causes the vehicle to take in too much gas into the engine and cause it to misfire and throws off the timing. Cost of damage $548.00 which Jiffy Lube will be paying for it or will be seeing me in small claims court. WORD OF ADVICE; NEVER GO TO JIFFY LUBE FOR ANYTHING.

#Jiffylube3176 Today, 8/19/15 at approx 5 pm, I arrived at my local Jiffy Lube to have the oil changed in my vehicle, it is a 2011 Mazda CX-9, with 55,000 miles. When I arrived an employee approached and asked what I needed? I replied that I needed an oil change. He let me know there would be an hour wait, there were two vehicles ahead of me. I thanked him and said I wanted the $29.99 value oil change and the fluids topped off. He replied "That is not the oil that I want, you want the synthetic blend." I replied "this vehicle has never had a synthetic blend put in it at..." The employee interrupted me and said it came from the factory with a synthetic blend in it. I replied, "Jiffy Lube has never put a synthetic blend in it (I have always used Jiffy Lube to change the oil in this vehicle except when I was on vacation and I used a Mazda dealership that time)."
He then insisted I replace the used oil with the synthetic blend. I said "no thank you" and left the Jiffy Lube. When I got to the next quick oil change place, I asked which type of oil they would be using to replace what is in my vehicle, they replied, "what the manufacture suggests". I asked them to look it up and tell me before starting. They pulled me into the bay and I popped the hood, to find that my vehicle recommends SAE 5W-20 right on the oil cap! You see I knew what the manufacture suggested, I knew where to look and I knew I had looked it up in the owner's manual before. It is on page 8-19 of the owner's manual.
While I was getting the oil changed I called my local Jiffy Lube and asked if they could tell me which oil was used in my car the last time I had it in their shop. I gave them the tag number ** and was told it was they put in 5W-20 conventional oil, each time, as I requested several oil changes ago. I asked why the employee that approached me, in the line, would tell me the value oil was not what I wanted and that I HAD to use a synthetic blend. The employee on the phone replied that his co-worker was only trying to educate me.... I interrupted him and said "he was not trying to educate me he was trying to "upsell" me." I heard more partial excuses and ended the phone conversation with my, admitting I would no longer be bring my vehicle to Jiffy Lube.
Please, Jiffy Lube, use this as a training exercise... Not everyone likes being forced, pushed, scared, or bullied into an "upscale" of synthetic blend that is only 20% synthetic and 80% conventional oil, at a higher price. People can't afford the extra costs for that 20%. People also can't afford Jiffy Lube not removing ALL the old oil from the oil pan at an oil change. I had to ask the employees to be sure and drain it completely before refilling. I understand why your employees are taught to watch for the "stream pull back". Not all the old oil is removed, so less has to be put in and how is that looking out for the customer?

It hit me, how would I know if my husband is the only one who brings the vehicles to service. I went for the cheapest. $44.95 was the price printed next to the picture of the oil. My bill was $116.13. I waited for almost one hour and then the salesman stated that I needed a new battery, and he showed me a piece of old receipt, the Battery test showing that my voltage was 11.05v. He kept insisting that the battery need it to be replaced. The way the representative came across alert my suspicion so I refused for a battery replacement, and I requested a copy of the battery test receipt which he gave it to me with hesitation. I knew that if my battery was that low my car battery will be dead.
I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts immediately after the oil change for a second opinion and the salesman confirmed what I suspected, the battery was good and the Voltage read 12.6. He also stated that if my battery was that low in voltage my car battery will be dead. Now, I question if this sales representatives make their quota by lying to customer especially women - that are known to be very inexperience with automobiles and how they work. I must lack of inexperience of how new vehicles work now in days with the new technology, but I am certainly know when someone is trying to take advantage. I was raised around mechanics and I know a little about batteries for sure.
I also question what else they added to my bill. I went for an oil change which is around 50.00 and I ended up with a bill of $116.13 which let me to believe that something is definitely wrong here. I will not go back to this location - EVER. With such lack of integrity anything goes. GIRLS, beware of this scam. If you are not having issues starting your car, do not agree for a battery replacement. What a terrible first time experience.

Jiffy Lube 2299- 4835 Louetta Rd Spring TX 77388. Never take your car here. They are irresponsible. On July 22, 2015 I took both of my cars for an oil change. In one of my cars they told me I needed new wiper blades. I told him they are 2 weeks old!! He said "oh sorry". In my VW Tiguan, they told and showed me my air filters and said they need replacement. I declined. Went home and on July 24, 2015 I started noticing some wet spots on my driveway. I'm no mechanic, so I thought it was the water from the air conditioning. Until a few days ago the spot was getting bigger and not drying up, so I touch it and it was oil. I checked the oil level on my VW Tiguan and it was down 1/2 a quart. I took the car back to Jiffy Lube on August 7, because I thought maybe they left the drain plug loose.
The manager told me that my drain plug was leaking because it was stripped. I said, "well I brought you my car in perfect condition and no leaks and you gave me the car back leaking oil". He said, "if you look at your invoice, we wrote in there that when you brought your car in, it had a strip plug and to take it to a mechanic". I didn't think much of it, until I got home and thought about it, and said something is not correct. So I called the manager again, told him, they have to be responsible for the strip plug and that their employees overtighten the plug and stripped it. He did not accept that. He told me that the incident happened on the place I changed the oil last and that they put the info in my invoice. I told him that nobody said anything at all about a strip plug and that just because they put that in my invoice it don't mean that someone told me about it.
I said why your employees showed me my air filters but will not show me a strip plug, which can be a safety issue?? He said he was not there and can't say if they told me or not. I said, "no way this car never leaked oil until it came to your place". He declined to help me. I told him that they had to fix my car, then he laughed at me and said, "no we are not". I asked his name and he hung up on me. I called the Customer Service and a lady named Teresa took all my info and forward it to the regional manager Mr James **. He called me. We went over the info. He said he will call me back. When he called back he just repeated what the store Manager said and told me that he will not authorized the repairs to my car stripped plug.
He said that the mechanic wrote the info in the invoice and I signed it. I told him, "I signed it because nobody told me that there was something wrong with the plug and who reads all the info printed on the invoice?" I told him that his employees stripped the plug and to cover their back, they wrote it on the invoice without telling me about it. I asked him to give me his boss name and number, he declined. I asked him to give me the name in corporate office of who can I talk to, he again declined. So now I'm stuck with a car leaking oil. So I paid 63.00 for an oil change and they damaged my car. What to do???

I changed my oil myself and at the same time my friend had Jiffy Lube do his. After about a week with mine having more than twice the miles put on after the changes, we were looking at the dip sticks on both. Mine was still clear and tricky to read the stick. His was dark and over full. I told him "something didn't look right here." He didn't watch or see or know anything on what they did. He just said "oil change" that's it to them.
So first I looked at the filter, it looked new (tech select switch he didn't specify to them - not their fault). Anyway I drained it into a drain pan, it was terribly dirty and chunky with very little viscosity. So I said watch this and I took that crap and tried to pour it through a funnel with a screen in it into another container. That screen plugged up over and over. We were so mad that we lost count. The only thing I can come up with is that they changed the filter and topped it off, over filling it and sent him on to believe he could get another 3000 miles from it. To me I don't think he would have made it to the next change without something in the motor plugging up!

I went to take my car in to get a quick oil change, clean the fuel system, and get the head light replaced (on a Saturday). I went in with all my windows rolled up, but when I went out to claim my car, the driver side window was half-way down. I thought, "No big deal," got in my car, and tried to roll it up. To my surprise, the window was entirely off track, not rolling up right. One employee came over and tried to help me pull my window up and straighten it, but only made it worse (and got grease all over the window). I didn't think it was a big deal, I would just straighten it myself.
So I drove a little ways, stopped and tried to fix it, then determined that I wouldn't be able to correct it without removing the door panel. I removed the panel from my driver door and it turns out that my entire window regulator and the window clips were broken. I called Jiffy Lube immediately, and they said that it would take the manager two/three days to get back to me.
I wasn't able to drive my car, because the window wouldn't fit back in the door. I had to pay for a new regulator ($60) and clips. I was finally called on the following Monday by Adam the GM, and I explained my situation, but he told me that I should call him back when the window was fixed, THEN they would look at it. How much sense does that make? He said he would investigate on his end -- talk to his team, review the videos, and call me back with results.
I waited four days and didn't hear anything (still unable to drive my car without a window), so I called on Friday and he (Adam) said that he did review the video and said that my car's window was rolled up throughout the service and that none of his guys rolled it down. The way he was explaining this, he made it sound like I was the one who rolled down my window and messed it up when I claimed it. Honestly offended, I asked to review the videos and he agreed. I'll be going in next week to review the videos as well as speaking with the DM about this situation. Something happened to my car in that shop, and no one is going to own up to it.

All was good until I drove the car on the highway on 7/22/2015 (2 days later). I was going about 65 mph and all of a sudden very loud banging sounds were coming from under the car. I stopped and inspected the car and it turns out the protective plastic sheeting under the car had detached and was dragging on the bottom of the road. This could have caused a major accident if it came completely off and hit another vehicle. My car is now parked in my driveway waiting for my mechanic to take a look at it to make sure nothing else happened to it and ATTACH the thing the way it should have been in the first place.
I noticed on this site at least one other very similar complaint. These protective sheets must be removed in order to access the oil filter and plug and NO ONE is making sure they are back on properly. I never believed the stories about Jiffy Lube and actually used them for years. I won't be doing that every again! It's not worth it. I have the 7/15/15 invoice from Jiffy Lube and the invoice from shop that fixed ac for proof.

We brought our new Dodge Grand Caravan (3500 miles) to Jiffy Lube store #133 in Braintree Ma. for an oil change. Two days later as my wife drives down the street and the engine light comes on, luckily she was smart and pulled to the side realizing she just had the oil changed. There was no oil in the engine, in fact all the oil was now sitting in my driveway that we just had put in last fall.
After several hours we finally got someone to come look at the car. It was the store general Manager who determined that the oil filter was not on correctly. He brought it back to Jiffy Lube did another oil change and ran a code scan pronounce the car fit for driving and promised to come clean the driveway. It has now been 5 days since the incident, I have called repeatedly and have yet to receive a return phone call. I also have a Chrysler extended warranty and I feel that Jiffy lube should be liable for Chrysler to run its own diagnostic to be sure the car is OK. First I would need Jiffy Lube to at least call return my phone call!

Jiffy Lube employees are predators. Charged me six times what they should have for parts and twice as much for labor and charged me for work they didn't do - radiator flush. Lied about the severity of the need for repairs to scare me into agreeing to the work. I told them they were cleaning out my checking account and their response, "It's better than your car being broken down on the side of the road." I filed a complaint with BBB.

My daughter thought it seemed high but didn't really know what to do so she just paid. I think that it was extremely overpriced so I called to ask and the owner who barely spoke English let me know that was their price and basically too bad. Won't ever be using their services again. I would love to share my experience that I received at Jiffy lube with you guys... I went in for an oil change and paid Jiffy lube almost $300 for an oil change, trans flush, & radiator flush after they insisted that I needed them. Drove directly home afterwards. Four days later when I went to use that vehicle, I made it about 30 miles from my house and the car began sounding like a truck!! I turned around to return home & had the car checked. As soon as you open the hood, my oil dipstick flung upwards and some type of fluid was everywhere under the hood! Jiffy lube sent someone out to my house to inspect the car. I was then told not to drive it and that they would have the car towed in to be repaired by the service shop they use. I refused their shop and requested that it be sent to the dealer.
They complied telling me to just have it towed and submit the tow receipt to them. The next day after the towing, I reached out to the general manager again seeing as though I was the only one doing any follow ups regarding the issue. He then said I turned the claim over to the insurance. My car was towed on July 7. They didn't get anyone out to inspect it until July 13, and today 3 days later, they call and leave on my voice mails that they are denying the claim due to the water pump failure having trans fluid everywhere but they are will reimburse me for the oil dip stick and the dipstick tube that connects to the engine replacement.
Btw, the adjuster stated, "also we won't cover the rental car cost" that she previously authorized!! So, even though you were negligent and broke a piece off into my oil dipstick, left it there, even though I've spoken to 3 other licensed mechanic that have confirmed that my water pump failure could have definitely been a result from a improper radiator flush, you expect me to pay for the rental and the damages that your company created!! I will never return to any of your locations and I will share this experience with as many people as I can!!!

On June 27, 2015 I had my oil changed and tires rotated on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler unlimited (4 door). On June 28 my family and I left for Maine for a week long vacation. While returning from our vacation on I-495 in the state of Massachusetts the jeep began to shake and vibrate. We pulled over to as safe as a location as possible. I got out of the vehicle and found that 4 out of 5 lug nuts and wheel studs had snapped off. Since I have AAA I placed a call requesting a flat bed to tow my Jeep. We have to have it towed to a local hotel as it was 4th of July weekend and all shops were closed. I then had to call a taxi and have my family transported to the hotel. The cost for this was $ 61.00.
I then had to pay a taxi $ 375 to run to 4 auto parts stores across Massachusetts. I then was only able to find 4 studs out of 5 needed. I made a temporary repair until midnight 4th of July weekend to get my family home and out of this nightmare. After getting home Sunday evening, Monday morning I then went to Jiffy Lube Quakertown. Spoke to the store manager and area Jiffy Lube manager. He stated that I would be compensated. I then went to the local Jeep dealer. They made the permanent repairs. It is now July 13 with no answer from Jiffy Lube as to how much or when they will be reimbursing me and my family for our unsafe predicament we were put in while on vacation.

Took my car in for an oil change Monday 7/6/15 in preparation for a day trip to Maine the following morning. We began to hear a knocking noise once we got off the highway in route to our destination and pulled into a local Midas station to have it looked at. The technician was quick to discover our oil had been overfilled and that was in fact what was causing our issue. A rental car, a Budget rental truck, tow dolly, motel room and over a grand later we made it home! Ruining our mini getaway and costing us some serious unexpected expenses! My car is not driveable now and we've gotten nowhere w/ this company so far!
The manager actually came to look at my truck on Thursday 7/9/15, took pics and recorded the knocking noise to forward to his district manager which who advised him to tell us Jiffy Lube isn't going to take responsibility because they use "calibrated oil guns that are 100% accurate and every vehicle is checked before it leaves the shop." So after requesting the district manager's number and being provided with a number that just continues to ring without the option to leave a voicemail I decided to try corporate. I made 2 calls to them yesterday, 7/10/15. The phone forever rang and I did leave 2 messages, which no one had responded to so I sat down last night and filled out a complaint form on their website. Total joke & nightmare! Never again...

I was able to locate those papers that had been removed from my glove compartment -- they were on the floor of my car underneath the passenger seat. However, I don't know why they would have had any reason to go in my glove compartment whatsoever.
It appeared that they had been rambling through my glove compartment. It could have been an honest mistake. Maybe they bumped it & it popped open & those items (including the USB cord & ink pen) fell out onto the floor. They should have brought it to my attention. Instead, they left the items on the floor & because the papers were underneath the seat, I thought someone there had stolen the papers.
I'm no longer angry, but it's still puzzling as to what actually occurred & I'm still disappointed in how the situation was handled. I'm glad I was able to find my papers. I might decide to remain a customer at that location, but they've caused me to be somewhat leery about them because of that situation.

Jiffy Lube #92 (608 Elden Street, Herndon, VA) - I had recently received services at the above location. After they had finished, I noticed someone had been rambling through my glove compartment because there were some items on the floor of my car that had been in my glove compartment. I discovered a USB cord on the floor, then later that evening long after they had closed, I noticed there was an ink pen on the floor of my car that had also been in my glove compartment. Then shortly afterwards, I noticed some papers were missing from the glove compartment. When I saw the USB cord on the floor, I didn't think anything of it because I thought it may have fallen out previously & got pushed under the seat of the car or something....& they saw it when they were vacuuming & left it on the floor where I would see it later.
Immediately after receiving services on my car anywhere, I always check to make sure my important papers (car registrations, etc.) are still in my glove compartment & I never leave valuables in my car. That's what I did this time as well. Somehow, when I checked my glove compartment, I didn't notice that some papers were missing until later that night & know for sure they were in there prior to going to Jiffy Lube. It was very confusing & odd mainly because those papers didn't have any value & they wouldn't have benefited anyone else....as far as I know. Someone there had obviously stolen those papers.
This incident has caused me to feel extremely irritated & disgusted with them. I had been taking my car to this location for approximately 1 year & nothing like this has ever happened before. I refuse to have services done at this location ever again.

That day nothing out of the ordinary occurred, I was serviced fairly, and on my way within 40 minutes. Our vehicle is a 2012 Ford 150 Truck. The following day 7/1/2015 at about noon, pedestrians were calling our attention that we were dragging a large piece of material from the front engine area. That piece is a rubber protection device 5X30-10 lbs that simply was not reattached right, nothing really serious, and I was not that too concerned. While returning the vehicle, the same staff member attended to us, as he remembered us, said "Ford puts too much protective plastic and rubber under the motor, I'll take care of that" which he did. I then said "I am losing my confidence in your services, don't blame the manufacturer."
While then I had to lay on the ground, inspected his work, I noticed it was loosely reattached still. And also a large metal plate 1/4X30X30 approximately 20 lbs was dangling and about to fall off. I said "what's happening here? Why is all your work falling apart?" That same Technician offered to reexamine the vehicle back in the open bay area, which I said "yes we need to, as I have lost all confidence on your services, and can not understand what's happening". As the vehicle is being driven onto the open serves bay, I need to understand why is this happening, and watch this new Technician who later I find out is the Manager Phillip. He assures me that it will be re-attached correctly even if he has to go across the street to the hardware store, and buy new bolts.
Manager Phillip is addressing an odd condition, which takes him about a hour. I notice that he has corrected the metal guard plate attachment. He later explains why that guard plate was removed, which is a fair and understandable condition. But I tell him that "there are a lot of unexceptional conditions having to be redone correctly. Why is your staff doing poor workmanship?" He says he understands the consequence if this would have failed on the long road back to California, and apologizes for his staff. I tell him "in all fairness, I have no assurances of your Product Services, and regret subscribing to your services, and will consider forwarding this matter to your corporate office".

As a "supposed Value Customer" at Jiffy Lube Service Center #2786 in Lutz, FL, I am appalled and shocked by the treatment I receive at the location today. I visited the location as I have for many years on 6/26, Invoice 2786 30677686 BAY4 (my proof), expecting to get my standard oil change and filter. The service tech (if you want to call him that) attempted to upcharge me for my oil change (which I pay 38.99 plus was forced to pay an extra 5 dollars for a specialty oil filter) as well as at additional charge for 5w20 conventional. Additionally, he tried to convince me my brake oil was 'CONTAMINATED' and needed replacing, which I refused service.
Several days later, I noticed the valve caps to my expensive vehicle were missing and I remembered the young man at this location leveled out my tires (the very tires where the valve caps are missing). So I go to this location, hoping to converse with the Service Manager at 3:55pm and the Service Manager is gone. So, I speak to the person who cleaned my vehicle and she told me the young man who addressed my tires was out today but she can give me a couple standard caps in it place. That wasn't a concern to me. I only visited the location hoping they would put them aside until I returned.
Now, the of so-called service tech came over and I share my concerns with him and he says all they can do it give me what they had and they didn't have my valve caps, IN A VERY ABRUPT VOICE. I guess he was upset that I should not to have my brake oil serviced at their location. I asked him "So, how is this matter going to be addressed?" and he said "ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING BECAUSE WE DIDN'T MISPLACE YOUR ** VALVE CAPS. HAVE A NICE DAY". I couldn't believe what he said to me and I was shamed by his comments because he implied someone like me doesn't deserve to drive a vehicle like this and ** YOU.
I am very upset by this situation, partly because I didn't get a chance to converse with the Service Manager and instead spoke to an individual who "OBVIOUSLY" does not have a very good appreciation of customer service. I am totally satisfied with the comments from the young lady I spoke to initially but it would "not" be right if I allowed this person (who certainly requires diversity training and customer service conditioning) to think it would be OK to speak to me or any other "supposed Value Customer" and have chosen to allow Jiffy Lube Corporate Service Center about this matter. Shame on this person at Jiffy Lube Service Center #2786 in Lutz, FL.

I had already done other oil changes that day, and I did not feel like doing another, so I drove over to Jiffy Lube in Lake Oswego, Oregon. They did their stuff, and I left. A few months pass, and it's time for another change. I again take it over to Jiffy Lube, and they do their stuff. The third oil change, I do myself.
The filter on this truck is VERY hard to get to, but there is a proper way to do it. Once I pulled the filter off, the date reads 1998 from a diesel repair place who did the heads. I asked my grandpa if that was the last time he did it, and he said that he had always taken it over to Jiffy Lube. By the time the filter was changed, it was over 15 years old with 50 oil changes through it. Moral of the story, don't go to Jiffy Lube. We drive a Toyota Rav4, not a very hard car to work on. After putting two quarts of oil into the motor, it didn't even register on the dipstick.
He went back to Jiffy Lube and got more oil. After waiting now for over an hour he came back with more oil and asked us to come back to Jiffy Lube for them to change the oil again. Now the only reason I didn't do this myself was because I didn't have time to do it myself.. They gave us a free oil change out of the deal but I don't want to go back there! Ever since this happened, we have gone back to have them top off the oil but they won't - more than once. Our Toyota Rav4 has burned now over 5 quarts of oil in one month with regular driving. If I could give Jiffy Lube negative stars, I would. Please never ever take your vehicle to this Jiffy Lube. On Jan 28, 2015 we took our vehicle into Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Because of the high mileage of my vehicle, they recommended that I do an engine flush. I agreed. They drained the oil from my car and added the flush. (A few of the employees were arguing about how it was supposed to be done. One employee said the flush needed to be added and ran before draining the oil. The other said it did not.) They then proceeded to add the flush and turn run my vehicle for a while. Then they turned it off added oil and changed the oil filter.
We left. As soon as we left, we noticed a weird knocking sound. We have taken the vehicle to numerous mechanics and have been told that we have a rod knock caused by the vehicle being ran without proper lubrication (not enough oil). This is the result of them draining the oil and then adding the flush and running the vehicle. We immediately called and asked to speak to the manager. No manager called back. We called corporate and left a message for the district manager. He eventually called us back and said that they would get it taken care of. Here we are April 29th, more than 3 months after and they are still playing games. I just want my car fixed. Jiffy Lube needs to make this right. Please do not ever use Jiffy Lube. Showed up a Jiffy Lube on Baum Blvd in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania at 11:51am EST. During my 2hrs of waiting in the lobby, I observed an ample amount of standing around, loafing, by the Jiffy Team. Around 12:45pm it appeared they all took a lunch break. No cars moved thru the bays, no personnel was visible in the work areas. Instead of having a few folks on lunch at a time, and allowing the operation to continue at all times, they just shut down the machine. With a lobby full of customers waiting for their cars. How utterly stupid. Approx 35 minutes later, the Jiffy Team reappears. However, I cannot say they were eager to work.
A young woman arrives to pick up her car. She too was paying attention and when they finally signaled that her car was ready she paid, then went out and completed a visual inspection. OOPS -- they must have forgot to do something as she backed her car back into the bay. 2 "service men" were trying to put air in her tires, the manager was nowhere to be seen, and eventually it got to the point where the young woman helped them with the air. At this point, I'm becoming annoyed and concerned that my car would not be properly serviced. I stand up and glare thru the glass, I watch the hood of my vehicle go down. Then it is driven outside. We are just a little over the 2hours of waiting point. The manager signals for me to step outside. Hmmmm... Curious as I had not paid the $119 for the service yet (Synthetic Platinum Oil). I calmly tell him I have been here for 2 hours and by no means was this service "Jiffy".
He proceeds to tell me my car wasn't services at all. WHAT?? I've been here for 2 hours and you never changed my oil?!?! Surely I was mistaken. He proceeds to tell me they cannot get my oil filter off. Mind you, I drive a 2011 Toyota 4Runner with 20K miles on it. It's not a POS. "Why can't you get the filter off," I ask. He tries to tell me it is rusted. At this point, I drop to my knees and peer under my car to ensure everything appears to be intact -- and it was. Didn't look like they touched anything. I would venture to say that the issue was more a matter of gross incompetence or simply not having the proper tools - but rather than coming clean, they came up with an excuse. After waiting 2hours --- 2HOURS of my life -- for service they tell me they were unable to perform the service. They offer no form of a discount on future services, not even an apology.
I ask the "manager" for the business card of the regional manager. He appears perplexed. "Regional Manager -- we don't have such a thing," he tells me. If I want to complain I can call the 800# and he walks away from me. I get into my car, livid, and drive off. I drive the 5-minute ride to my residence and pull up the Jiffy Lube website and proceed to call the 800#. I go into the call queue. After being in the queue for 20 minutes, I receive a recording instructing me to leave a message. Not asking me if I wanted to leave a message or continue to hold -- this was a mandate to leave a message. Instead, I terminated the call and called back. On my 2nd attempt I didn't get into the phone queue at all, instead I went directly to the high call volume call back mailbox. What HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
So I terminate call number two and I pull up the Contact Us form on their website. I proceed to submit a complaint. In my complaint I detailed much of the same information as contained here, with 1 minor twist. My time is money... In fact, if I had been working (it is MONDAY) I would have earned $36 per hour. So by my accounting, Jiffy Lube owes me $72 for wasting my time -- and I fully expect to be compensated. Not in the form of a cheap thank you with a store credit. That is of zero value to me as after my encounter today, I would NEVER consider visiting another Jiffy Lube location EVER. I should have known.
As when I pulled in, the attendant told me the Jiffy Lube Synthetic service is expensive, and suggested I go to Pep Boys about a 1/2 block away. I had utilized Jiffy Lube in the past and always had a good experience, I was not familiar with Pep Boys at all. Basically, I missed the warning flag. What a shame, what a joke Jiffy Lube has become. Buyer beware. Jiffy Lube, I await my compensation.

Jiffy Lube service is all a big con game. They are not satisfied with just basic service. The con starts the minute you drive in. Once you're in the waiting area, they will post a lookout to make sure you can't witness anything they're about to do. Like removing one of your filters and making it look dirty or damaged. This means more bucks for Jiffy Lube. This is only one of the many tricks of the con game. Beware-- Don't be fooled!

I went to the Mt. Prospect, IL store at Elmhurst Rd and Dempster in Feb.2015. They open the garage door, you drive in, they close the door on you, and you ask how much for an oil change. I was told $39.99. They gave me no choice or options--- and the door is closed. So you have the most expensive oil change your little, ordinary car has ever had. The next week, I pass the Jiffy Lube at Randhurst and I see they have a sign that says "Economy Oil Change $29.99". I think the Dempster and Elmhurst Rd store ripped me off because I'm a senior citizen. I will never go to any Jiffy Lube store again. I hope the manager has lice in his armpits and short arms!

I took my car into Jiffy Lube for an oil change, having visited them many times in the past. They recommended I do other things like they always do, and I ended up spending $250 for them to do a number of things including replacing the battery. As I drove the car off their lot I noticed that the check engine light was still on. In the next couple of weeks the problem with the car got worse rather than better, and the car was almost stalling at the lights. So I took the car in to my mechanic and he said there were a number of issues that the Jiffy Lube people had not resolved, and that they had done a truly terrible job. Apparently the brand new battery they had installed two weeks earlier was already "full of acid". I had to spend another $200 to make my car drivable. I was angry and I contacted both Jiffy Lube HQ and the service center I used, but nobody ever gave me any compensation or even bothered to contact me.

Went into Jiffy Lube in the town of Sandy Oregon with 2000 Dodge Durango Sport I just purchased. I inspected the vehicle prior to purchase and one of the reasons I liked the Dodge was it had absolutely NO oil leaks. Jiffy Lube changed the oil and I drove it home. The next day I noticed a spot of oil on the driveway and upon inspection saw that the cross member had oil all over it directly under the front of the motor. I checked the oil and it was 1.5 qts over fill capacity. I had to have the front seal replaced to resolve my oil leak: $300.00 for labor.

Friday April 10th: along with several other weekend errands, my husband pops into our California MD Jiffy Lube #3198 for an oil change. During the oil change, a leak is noticed from the reservoir with coolant hose--that goes to the radiator. There is a plastic "nipple" coming out of the reservoir with a hose and they are attached it seems by some sort of plastic clip. This is my layman's understanding. My husband looked with the JL tech (**), and my husband said "okay, just replace the plastic clip."
After a bit, ** reports that in an effort to disconnect the hose and replace the clip piece, he broke the "nipple" part. Now the whole reservoir must be replaced in order to fix this. No one has the part available until Monday the 13th. The order for the part is placed by ** tells my husband--"see you back on Monday for the fix." My husband drives off and on his way to the next errand. Shortly down the road, his Nissan truck overheats, he pulls over, opens the hood and there's coolant(?) antifreeze(?) all over the engine. A tow truck is called to tow the now inoperable vehicle back to JL. ** may have placed the order for the new part at this time--I'm not 100%. Either way, we're waiting until Monday and my husband has to get a rental car. Ok, fine. My question is, might this have been avoided with a more knowledgeable technician?
Monday the 13th. Go back to JL after work, no part, no **--he's off work this day. The part isn't likely available until Wednesday now. What is the deal with this type of communication? The rental car fees continue. The cost and lack of skill are what offend me, more so the lack of skill. Wednesday the 15th. Go back to JL after work. Truck has new part and seems OK. My husband drives it home, me following, via a gas station stop. When I pull up, my husband has his flashlight out, is under the hood of his truck (about 8:45 pm tonight), and pulls out (with a long-reach device) a SET OF PLIERS FROM JIFFY LUBE.
Now, I don't know how big a deal that really is. However, I am disgusted by the gross ineptitude of your tech/s at our Jiffy Lube. Is this acceptable? How did ** let my husband drive off last Friday, if the way the vehicle was left would end up with overheating and a dead truck requiring a tow truck and rental car for 6 days? Does he not know this part being broken or off leads to this? What is up with the pliers left hanging around in the engine? We will never go back, obviously. However, I want to hear about JL taking some kind of responsibility for this bottom of the barrel quality. You have to do something about it.

Pulls it in and walks into the bathroom. 3 bay garage and 3 so called mechanics. Another guy goes over to my truck & stands there. The other guy comes back and they both stand there talking. It's already been 10 minutes. Finally they both begin to rotate the tires. After another 30 minutes it was completed. Guy pulls my car out and stays in it looking at himself in my rear view mirror. I asked the supervisor if she was in charge. She answered yes. I said, "What the hell is going on in here? 2 guys to rotate tires on one car takes 40 minutes?" No answer. On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, my daughter took her 2000 Toyota Camry to Jiffy Lube in Vernon, Connecticut and got an oil change. Two days later, on Friday, March 13, when it was being driven on I-91 by my other daughter, the car experienced "catastrophic engine failure" (those were the words of the mechanic at Lynch Toyota in Manchester, Connecticut). Catastrophic engine failure happens when there is no oil in the engine. We got varying repair estimates, ranging from $3.200 to $4,000, with no guarantee that that was the final amount or that the car would run afterward. We decided just to get another used car, which cost us $5,000.
Went to a used car lot Saturday to look at cars and told the salesman what happened, and his response was, "They may have taken the old oil out, but did they put any new oil in?" Another used-car dealer said flat out, "They drained the engine and didn't refill it." A third used-car dealer said that Jiffy Lube mechanics are notorious for being inexperienced and being overwhelmed by the number of things that they have to do to each car, to the point that they often forget to do important things before releasing the cars back to their owners. The car drove just fine until I took it there and now the car is good for nothing except a charitable donation, which we have done. Not only that, the breakdown on I-91 terrified Annie, who is only 18, and put her life in danger.
I called Jiffy Lube in Vernon on the evening of Monday, March 16, to discuss this. The manager on duty just stopped talking to me, sitting on the phone in total silence when I asked him questions. I feel this is a case of criminal negligence on the part of the mechanic and Mr. **, the quality inspector who supervised the oil change (My daughter was one of the last customers of the day, which I think says a lot). This Jiffy Lube is endangering people's lives and stealing money from their pockets.
We are lucky that we could afford to buy another used car. If we had been a lower-income family, who had just one car and needed it to get to work, this incident would have pushed us into homelessness. You just can't steal huge amounts of money from people and endanger the lives of your customers by forgetting to do something so essential. Today, our claim to Jiffy Lube was rejected because we donated the junk car to charity and were no longer the legal owners of the car, therefore Jiffy Lube no longer had any legal obligation to have serviced our car properly.

Last Saturday I took my car to Jiffy Lube for the annual state inspection. The staff was friendly and the car was ready in about 30 minutes. As I paid the bill I was asked to rate my experience (this is not the appropriate moment to ask a customer to rate the experience since I hadn't even seen my car yet). But since everything seemed fine I gave them the highest rating of 5. I kind of noticed the tech seemed a little too gleeful of my good rating, I was about to find out why).
I only live a couple of miles from this Jiffy Lube and as soon as I got home, I noticed a 2.5 inch crack in the windshield at the exact place where the old inspection sticker had been removed. There was no chip or pit a rock would have made if it had hit the windshield and caused the crack, just a very clean crack. I had handwashed the windshield before taking the car in and I know the crack was not there, nor did the damage happen on the way to JL. I called JL to tell them about the crack and I was instantly told in no certain terms that Jiffy Lube did not cause it.
The JL employee telling me this did not even ask me to bring the car back in so he could examine the crack to make a determination, he just refused to address the issue. Before this man (**) got off the phone he did however say that another Jiffy Lube customer, the owner of a BMW claimed to have the same thing happen to his windshield at Jiffy Lube. I said all I wanted was JL to pay to have the crack treated so it wouldn't spread, I wasn't even asking them for a new windshield. I have called and sent them a total of 3 emails and all I have heard is that they are passing my comment on to the franchise owner. I still have not been contacted by the franchise owner.

On 08/05/2014 I took my car (a 2008 Kio Rio) for a basic oil change, the car was in excellent condition, nothing leaking or repairs needed just a regular oil change, however when I got back the car I saw coolant fluid leaking (it is a green substance so it cannot be missed) profusely from the car. I do not have a coolant problem or one of the car over heating. When I highlighted the problem to a one of the mechanics he dismissed it as nothing, but when I returned home the car was still leaking coolant and when I went under the hood realized the leak arose from a hole in the coolant tank. A subsequent check of my other oils such as my brake fluid did not give me the confidence that my oil had been changed given the level it was at on the day after the supposed "oil change."
What you must note is that when they take your car and you are instructed to go and sit in the customer waiting room, unless you are over the service man watching what they do during this process, there is nothing to validate their claim that they undertook to "conduct" an oil change as they stipulated. They seem more intent on getting you to buy additional services rather than effect what the service that you came in for, to the point they become aggressive and in poor taste.
However what inspired me to write this review was that on 03/13/2015, I again came into the same Jiffy Lube Center located at (4359 N University Dr, Sunrise, FL 33351) for the same oil change, this time my glove compartment was "RIPPED OUT," and left in a damaged condition. I never really made a formal complaint because I really should not have gone back to that branch or even to the same company (but did so out of habit since it is very near to where I reside), given my previous experience. I suspect that it was deliberate as they had absolutely no need to be in the glove compartment for a supposed "oil change." I definitely will not go back there but something needs to be done about such situations, it is untenable.

I bought a 1996 Volvo 850 in for a simple oil change to the Jiffy Lube in North Scottsdale, AZ. The car was in fine condition when I bought it in. I picked it up later and drove it the 2 blocks home without issue. However, the next day I started it up and seized in seconds. I got out to see a huge puddle of oil, along with the oil pan bolt lying in it. Obviously they did not tighten it enough and it came off, leading all the oil to drain out. A call to the district manager resulted only in accusations that I brought the car in like that..um..no. I would have sued, but the burden of proof was on me.
How does one prove the car was fine before going into the store?? It cost me 500 dollars to have the engine repaired enough to run, but it was never the same after that. I never take my cars to franchised quickie places anymore thanks to them. I take them to trusted mechanics instead. I went into JL on March 7, 2015 for an oil change on my car which I had gotten many times before at JL but not at this location. Worst mistake ever. From the time I left the lot my car was already getting hot. I went home that evening and went out to dinner with my husband and on the way home the car overheated and shut off. We checked the engine and there was absolutely no oil in the car and no antifreeze, both of which were supposedly changed earlier in the day at the store. Somehow we made it down to the street to the gas station to add both oil and antifreeze.
The next day we went on our way back to JL after I had called them and informed them of the problem. On the way there the car overheated again and shut off in the middle of 355. I called JL again and they sent me a manager to my location to determine the problem. He showed up and said, "You have no antifreeze in the car," but yet the reservoir was full and they supposedly topped it off the day before according to the paper they fill out. Anyways he said he would be back.
45 minutes later he returned and instead of doing anything he said, "Oh by the way I think someone in the shop poured antifreeze into your engine oil yesterday," which is why my engine oil compartment was completely white And foaming and smoking. He said he was going to check the cameras in the shop and get back to me. So I had to get car towed and I'm waiting to hear what my mechanic has to say tomorrow. I once was out of windshield wiper fluid and I topped it off completely. I noticed I was low on oil, so I decided to take it in to the Jiffy Lube located at 7760 El Camino Real in Atascadero, CA. I requested the oil change where they top off any fluids that needed topping off, because I knew I was low on transmission fluid - otherwise I'd have gotten the cheapest oil change and not spent extra.
When my vehicle was done, I was told that they topped off my windshield wiper fluid. Immediately prior to pulling in here, I had topped it off myself - so that was a lie. They then told me my transmission fluid was "full" and that "it doesn't need to be topped off". That too was a lie because my transmission had a very slow leak and would always slip any time I get below a quart - it had been slipping recently so I knew I was low. I took my car directly to another shop, and it turned out my car was 2 quarts low - I watched them check and add the fluid. So basically for a whopping 12 bucks, give or take, for two quarts of transmission fluid they knowingly cheated me out of, they cost themselves a customer for life.
Lastly, their guy left about 9 or 10 oily fingerprints on the front of my car. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of sloppiness and laziness. I would not recommend a place such as this that outright lies to their customers and steals from them. Had a oil and transmission service on my 2012 G37 Sedan at the store on 82nd Ave and division. After the oil change we drove over to Lincoln City, where we stopped at Walgreens to get some water. When we got out of the car we noticed a large puddle of oil underneath the car. I looked into the car and saw oil dripping, open the hood to see if the fill cap had been left off. The fill cap was in place, so I went inside to get some oil. I came outside, put the oil in the car, looked underneath to see it immediately draining back out. I only added one quart of oil.
We Sat for several minutes trying to decide what to do. Deciding that it was a bad idea to start the car, we tried to contact a hotel room so we could stay the night and figure things out in the morning. It was Valentine's Day weekend, and there was not a single room available in the entire city. We ended up scavenging the few local stores that were still open looking for blankets so we could prepare to spend the night in our car. We found one sleeping bag, and one medium sized blanket. The temperatures dropped down to low forties, I could not start my car to use the heat, and then my car battery died from running the accessories trying to keep our phones charged so we could call somebody in the morning.
When the morning came, we began speaking with the store manager, who although he was not able to provide any assistance, he was very polite and understanding. He was very apologetic, & I do believe he went above and beyond to try and get us some assistance. I understand that store managers have very limited power when it comes to these types of things. However, when we were put in touch with the regional manager, he was very rude, angry, and not very helpful.
At one point when I was speaking to my fiance while I was on the phone with him, I had made a comment to her, and he said "What did you say?" I replied with "I was speaking with my fiance." He then again asked me, "Yeah but what did you say?" What I said to my fiance had absolutely no bearing on the conversation he and I were having, nor did it have any relevance to the situation. I informed the regional manager that we had a tow truck on the way, since Jiffy Lube was not able to provide us with a tow. I notified him that we were having our car towed to Oil Can Henry's to get oil in the car so we could get home.
We never intended to stay the night. We had been in our car since 7 o'clock the previous night. This conversation was taking place at about 11 a.m. the regional manager informed me that he was loading his family into the car and on his way from Vancouver Washington, which is approximately a 3-hour drive. He also informed me that if we had anybody else work on the car, the warranty would be avoided, and they would not have any responsibility for this. I asked him if it would be possible to have Oil Can Henry's look at the car, and take a assessment of what happened. Initially he declined, but then later called me back and said that he had spoke to a manager at Oil Can Henry's and that we could take the car over there and have them inspect it.
We arrived at Oil Can Henry's, and the manager had no idea what he was talking about. Eventually, it came out that he did not speak to a manager at all, but instead have left a message with another employee to pass on to the manager. The manager at Oil Can Henry's in Lincoln City Oregon was more than helpful. Those guys there were great, and they said that they have seen more than one car have issues once it has left a Jiffy Lube. The manager allowed me to walk underneath the car and look at the drain plug that had fallen out, and become wedged in between the skid plates. They put the drain plug back in, filled us up with oil, and we were on our way.
Now I am trying to get reimbursement from Jiffy Lube for our tow, our expenses for purchasing blankets, food and so on that was a unnecessary expense that we would not have made had we not been stranded. I am also going to request that Jiffy Lube sign a waiver that says that they are responsible for internal damage in my vehicle, up to a certain mileage. I'd like to close with this note: the regional manager at Jiffy Lube (Portland Oregon region) was one of the most unprofessional, immature, aggressive, defensive "managers" I've ever dealt with. Let me be clear about something, I was cold, hungry, and tired. We just spent a night in our car. My fiance has medical problems that she requires medication for, that were at home. This was a last minute "couple hour trip" to the beach. She was in pain all night.
When I spoke to the regional manager, I was at times very rude, aggressive, and frustrated with the situation. I don't deny that one bit. I understand that no one likes to be spoken to in a rude manner, regardless of the situation. But at the same time, I did expect a little more compassion and understanding from a person that was placed in a regional management position. Instead, what I was given was a regional manager that was more interested in making this a power struggle in between him and I. I was constantly told "Don't talk to me like that", and reminded that "I'm going out of my way, and loading my family up on a Sunday to come help you!"
I wasn't born yesterday. The guy was "loading his family up" so they could have a "business" trip to the beach. Why would you bring your family on business? I don't bring my kids to work when I get called in for a emergency. Overall, this was the most disappointing experience I've ever had with any business in my entire life. Jiffy Lube will never ever get another penny from me, and I will highly recommend to anyone I know, that they never go. This story will be copy and pasted on every review site I can possibly find.

I don't understand why a synthetic oil change wouldn't be covered for 5,000 miles instead. The damage to our vehicle took a while to happen as the oil leaked out slowly over 5,100 miles. The engine is ruined. It will cost thousands to replace! Not a happy camper.

STRIKE 1. I always change my own oil because I don't trust people. Well we had some stuff at work that required me to work 7 days a week for a while. My jeep needed an oil change so I had my wife take it to the local Jiffy Lube. After that we didn't drive it for a week. The first time I drove the vehicle after I was driving up Parleys Canyon. Half way up all of a sudden I see smoke coming out from under my jeep behind me and can smell burning oil. I pull over, shut my vehicle off and look underneath and oil is leaking out onto my exhaust which is causing the smoke. I go check my oil and the oil level is an inch above the top fill line. I let the engine cool down for a while and limped it to the next exit. I had my wife come pick me up and had my jeep towed to my house. I contacted the Jiffy lube and they said to bring it in.
They checked the oil and the manager there admitted it was overfilled to me but said the smoke was probably just from some residual oil from when it was changed, he kept telling me that there could not have been as much smoke as I told him. I told him I wanted the leak fixed because the oil had blown a hole in one of the gaskets. He told me to drive it around for a couple weeks and he thought the gasket would reseal itself. I knew it would not but I drove it for a couple weeks. I took it back in and that manager was not working there anymore or something. I explained to the new guy I was talking to the situation. He told me this to my face, "Even if we did overfill it we can't guarantee that the leak was caused by overfilling it." I wanted to punch him in the face for saying something so stupid. He notified me there is nothing that could be done. I told him that everyone I knew would be told what a crappy place Jiffy Lube is and to never go there.
STRIKE 2. A year later a girl at my wife's work said she took her car to the same Jiffy Lube and they told her that all of her brakes were bad and metal on metal and needed to be changed. The girl was a young girl that didn't know much but knew she was not hearing metal grinding. She told my wife and I told her to bring it to me and I would check. Her front brakes were plenty good and would last her another 2 years easy. Her back brakes were thin but not even close to being metal on metal and would easily last her a year. I told her that her back brakes needed to be changed within the year but there was sure no metal on metal. Just to make it clear I change my own brakes and everyone in my family because it's so easy and inexpensive to do it by yourself, so I know my share about brakes. I told my wife's co-worker to never go back there again and to call me in the spring and I could do it for 25 bucks.
STRIKE 3. Well my mom was going to Island Park, Idaho for vacation. My dad told her to get the oil changed on their Durango before they went. My mom forgot what I told her the year before and took it to the Clinton Jiffy Lube. When she called me and told me I told her not to drive it until I came and checked the oil level. Well what do you know once again the oil was an inch over the fill line. I told her if I would not have checked it she probably would not have made it without blowing a gasket like I did. She was pissed and went back over to Jiffy Lube. They explained to her that, that year of Durango had two different engines and they took different amounts of oil. Don't you think that an oil change business would take the time to make sure they knew what engine was in the vehicle before changing it, because whenever I change oil I make sure I know what engine it is so I know how much oil.
My mom said she wanted a discount because they charged her for an extra quart of oil when they changed it. They said they would take some oil out so it was not overfilled but they could not give her a discount or refund for the service. My mom told them she wanted the oil they took out from it being overfilled in a container because she paid for it and she was pissed. They gave it to her and what do you know it was just under a quart that they had overcharged her. She yelled at them and told them that I had problems with the same thing before and she could not believe they were that stupid. So told them everyone she talked to would know never to go there again.
After my incident I just thought it was some stupid high school drop out who didn't know anything so that was probably just bad timing. But after the other two incidents I realized Jiffy Lube is a scam. They don't take care of you or your vehicle. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and they can't do something as easy as changing oil on a vehicle right. I was talking to a gentleman who worked at checker auto and told him my story. He said he used to be a manager there and he quit and went to Checker because he knew of the crappy job they were doing. Funny thing he quit about a month before I took my jeep in for service?
What a joke Jiffy Lube is. I don't know if this is just this store or the whole franchise but I have never seen such terrible service anywhere. They want to take you for every dime they can and not hold their high school drop out employees accountable because it would cost them money to fix all the problems they create from not being able to do their jobs right. Don't ever go to Jiffy Lube - they are crooked and pathetic.

Can I give NO stars? So, I'm a regular customer. Have three cars that are regulars here. I go yesterday. You know how they bring you into the garage part and show you all the other stuff you need? It comes up... I need new windshield wipers. I ask them to check my account. I got them - there - in October. This is January.
"Why would I need new ones so quickly?" I ask. "Because of the unusual heavy snowfall this season...." I'm told. Really? I've shoveled twice this year. And the second time was this morning. I suggest that they should replace - no charge. They say NOPE. Okay, well, I'm not comfortable continuing as their customer if they are foolish enough to throw away three customers for the sake of wiper blades. Would recommend that you do NOT go to this location on Street Road in Warminster. EVER.

** acquired my personal information and informed me that he recommended a particular oil for high mileage. I informed him that I only drive locally. **, then explained he was referring to my vehicle and its mileage. The vehicle has over 195k miles and ** gave me a price of almost $80.00 for that particular oil change. I explained, I only wanted the basic $30.00 oil change. I told ** I don’t desire an upgraded oil change. He gave me a total and I pulled out a $100.00 dollar bill. First thing ** says, “I don’t have change for that. Do you have a smaller bill?" I said NO. ** ask do you have a credit card, I said NO. I firmly told **, I came into a place of business to pay cash and I don’t appreciate him trying to change my payment option. Then I ask, “So what do you want me to do about change?” He implied, “I could go next door or down the street for change.”
After that, I became really temperamental. I instructed him to stop performing maintenance on my vehicle. By this time, I was forced to accept the service due to the tech already dropping the oil out of my vehicle. I explained to **, I really don’t appreciate him trying to upscale me with an oil change due to the fact his establishment didn’t have change for a hundred dollar bill. By this time, he said he had change and it would be in the form of small bills, denomination in the form of 5 and 1-dollar bills.
After he completed my service, ** and I passed a few words back and forth and he threatened to call the police on me. I told him, “Please do, so I can explain to the officer.” He refused to accept cash payment from me. Also, his establishment did not have a posted sign stating NO CASH or CANNOT ACCEPT 100.00 bills. ** accepted my $100.00 bill and my change was as follows: 3 twentys, a five, and 2 ones. I called him a liar about the denomination he was referring to give me previously. ** explained he took the change from his wallet. Never apologize for being wrong. I stopped at Jiffy Lube in Enid, OK on 2 January 2015 as I was in need of oil change. I told the Tech, "I just need a basic oil change because it's that time." He inquired after pulling my vehicle in, did I want High Mileage and I replied, "no just basic oil change." I went to wait. Next thing, a Tech comes out says my air Filter needed changing and brought some huge dirty filter claiming it was from my vehicle. I said "sure" and then maybe 10 minutes later, "Ma'am your wiper blades need replacing, we have buy one get one free" and I agreed.
They bring my vehicle out after servicing and present a bill for $163.46. I immediately became upset at total. I asked why would I want a $48.99 oil change? I requested an basic oil change and nobody informed me cost of air filter, and what were wiper blades made of to cost $71.98. So they immediately deducted $50 from bill. But I really feel like I was taken advantaged of because one, I'm a woman and I was from out of state, and they had already completed work without prior notifying me cost. My vehicle is 2010 Ford Escape XLT and I have regular maintenance performed, and have not ever paid these prices for the mentioned services.

On January 17, 2017 I brought in my car to receive a standard oil change to the Jiffy Lube in Corona, CA off Ontario Ave. I got synthetic oil, and replaced two cabin filters. When I brought my car in, the automatic stick shift console in my car was in perfect condition. When they pulled my car up after the service was complete I sat down, looked at my automatic stick shift and instantly noticed that my console had been cracked/punctured (this is the plastic cover that lights up revealing when to reverse, drive, park etc.). I had not even left the lot, sat down and did not even pull away! I knew immediately because 20 minutes prior I was in my car and saw it.
I spent $133.41 for a synthetic oil change, and replacement of two cabin filters. The location refused to admit any negligence or responsibility. I spoke to the manager, and some of the employees. They refused to reimburse me for my services or offer to fix their mistake, as to do so would admit any negligence. They denied even working on the inside of the car; however, they vacuumed and changed my cabin filters. You have to go inside my car to do these things! This error cannot be fixed without replacing the whole console in my 2008 Honda Accord. There was never any cosmetic damage to the interior of my car until this point.
What should have been a simple oil change has now left me with a lower resale value option on my car, and needing to replace the automatic stick shift console, which could be several hundred dollars-much more than a simple oil change. I am livid with the treatment received and lack of professionalism that the staff at Jiffy Lube #3360 displayed. I not only spoke to the manager but to three different employees and nothing was done to rectify their error and negligent work ethic. I will never be attending another Jiffy Lube after this experience. This is ridiculous! I took my car in for a routine oil change only to leave with a broken automatic stick shift console.

I went to Jiffy Lube to just get my safety and emissions and inspections done. The wait wasn't too long and I felt like they were honest with what needed to be fixed (To pass my safety inspections, I had to replace the passenger windshield wiper and one of the back break lights. Not bad). When I went up to pay, I had forgotten my jiffy lube coupon for $15 dollars off of a safety inspection (so that would have been free for the safety part) and had brought my coupon from midas. I thought I'd ask just because I was already there, but I asked if they would honor the midas coupon (because the deal was the same with them too). They asked the manager and the manager happily agreed. The manager is the one that ended up ringing me up and he actually gave me a $20 discount, which was even more than I had asked, and was very happy they were so willing to help me out. And then I left.
HERE'S WHERE THE FUN BEGINS AND WHY I'M ACTUALLY WRITING THIS REVIEW: I drove about a mile from the West Valley Jiffy Lube and all of a sudden, my hood came up and smashed into my windshield. I was on redw road and swerved coz I got so scared. Luckily, there were no cars next to me and I didn't hit into anyone. I pulled into a parking lot and got out to see my entire windshield smashed in. My hood was jammed into the windshield part and was hard to pull back down. I called jiffy lube and let them know what happened. They knew it was from going there coz I had been there 5 min earlier. They offered to come pick me up but since I was so close, I decided to drive back with my hazards on.
When I got there, they apologized and offered to give me a ride back to work (I left during my hour break at work and needed to go back). They offered to give me a ride back home from work, then back to work the next morning. They took responsibility for what happened and offered to have my windshield replaced free of charge. They said they would pay for a rental for me (they didn't want to at first until my husband got there and asked about it). We didn't end up using a rental coz my sister let me use her car. They are getting a quote on fixing my smashed hood. They said they'd only pay for half of that though. Hmmmmmmm... idk about that part but overall, I was very impressed.
They went as far as bringing my van back to me so I wouldn't have to find a ride to go pick it up again. Quite an experience, but was very satisfied with the way they helped me out after what happened. They apologized and made it as easy as possible for me after everything. Will I go back?? I mean, probably. The only mistake they made was leaving the hood unlatched for it to smash the windshield and that's big and all but they made up for it. Good job jiffy lube.

When I denied the service he offered the service at a discounted price if I paid him cash. This payment would be paid to him under the table for his personal profit. I still denied the service and the employee became irritated. I made a stop about 20 minutes after my vehicle was serviced and noticed an antifreeze smell. The reservoir cap had not been properly replaced. I ensured the cap was replaced and topped off my antifreeze. As days went by I still noticed I was losing antifreeze. I had my coolant system checked to find out I now have a small hole in my radiator. I had NEVER had any previous problems with my car overheating. NOVEMBER 18th, 2014 - We were heading out on a family trip to Moab, and I was running behind. I usually change the oil myself, but I didn't have the time. While I ran other errands, I dropped my SUV off at Jiffy Lube for an oil/filter change. Not hard, this is what they do. Jumping on the freeway (less than 3 miles from the JL), accelerating, I lost my gauges and blinkers, figured it was a fuse. We got off the freeway a bit later, car was running a bit rough under load, replaced a blown fuse, and drove another block or two before all electronics went crazy and car was stumbling. Pulled over, took off the skid plate (thank goodness I always travel with tools) and I found my wire loom that runs near the oil filter shredded, the two anchor points forward and forward left of the filter broken. Those broken points allowed the loom to come into contact with the cooling fan, severing 12 of the 14 wires in the loom. I spend the next two hours re-wiring my SUV.
I thought that was the end of it, but we continued up the canyon, and when it got steep, my SUV started to buck, blow black smoke out the tailpipe, and lose power. I pulled into a level pull off, and let the car sit for 20 minutes to cool down. I checked my oil and find that I'm WAY over the fill line. Not just a little, but a good inch on my dipstick. I let it cool a bit more and drain out over a quart from my engine. I check again, and I'm right at the fill mark. They had overfilled me by nearly a quart and a half. Our trip after that was uneventful, if a little rough - my car is running poorly at high RPMs, and is eating gas, so I didn't take it out on many trails due to that.
I went back in to Jiffy Lube after we returned, and spoke with an Assistant Manager. He seemed somewhat sympathetic, if not really concerned with all that had happened. He then proceeded to tell me that "they double check the oil when they fill it," and wouldn't accept that they overfilled it. He took down my information, and told me he'd have his Manager call me. Yeah, I'm STILL waiting on that phone call, nearly three weeks later. This is their job -- they change oil. If they can't do that right, why are they even in business?
NOVEMBER 25th, 2014: As attached to this review, Regional Manager Sterling ** contacted me about "getting me taken care of." We played phone tag, and then set up a meeting for Friday, November 21st for him to look at my vehicle. I agreed that I would meet him at the location where my oil was changed (where the damage was done) at about 1pm, I was to call him when I left work. I did so, and pulled into the location at 1:15pm -- and he called about then to tell me that he was running behind, and that his managers at that location would take care of me until he got there. They looked my SUV over and the asked for my experience again. I told it to them; they said that we would wait for Sterling. So I waited for about 25 minutes more (full 30 minutes from when I'd shown up) and Sterling finally called and said he'd been detained but was leaving soon and he'd call me when he left.
So I made the decision to go home, since we live nearby, to wait for him. Well, I waited for two hours. Yes, TWO HOURS. No call. No text. So I decided to go back to work, since I had to finish my shift. I called and left a message, and texted him. On my drive back, he called and asked if I was still around, I told him no. He then told me another horror story about a different Jiffy Lube location where the oil filter had fallen off the vehicle... Way to instill trust in a company.
Initially he asked if I could meet him in Salt Lake, but I told him that the vehicle was running poorly and he would need to come to me. We decided to meet the following week. He said “Call me on Monday and we'll meet up," to which I said I needed a concrete time, not an "I’ll be there." So we ended up, after a few phone calls, meeting that night. He looked over the car, checked the oil (which I'd already fixed, above) and then we went down under to look at the car. I explained where the loom had run, how I felt they had caused it, and he seemed not convinced. So I explained again, how it had happened on that day... and in the middle of this he gets a phone call from another irate customer.
Rather than call them back, he proceeds to take the call. So for 12 minutes I stood around, waiting for him to finish. The tech that was assisting me finally asked ME if I should put the car back together. I told him yes, and went upstairs to the bay to wait. So he finally came up and said flatly that he didn't see how they could have caused it, but would "take my word" that they overfilled my oil and offered to refund my money for the oil change. You don't have to take my word, I have pictures. And why would I lie?
DECEMBER 5th, 2014 and JANUARY 8th, 2015 - As I still had a car that wasn't functioning, I contacted Jiffy Lube Customer Service. Told my entire experience to a rep named Ben, who agreed that more could be done and suggested I take it in to be looked at. I agreed, and took it in to Egan Automotive in Kaysville (see my review on them, top notch) after Ben/Sterling said that was an acceptable shop. After extensively troubleshooting the issue, they determined that the cause of my hesitation/poor running was the wire loom that had been bisected. Egan agreed that the likely cause was the oil change, due to proximity of the loom and due to the timing of it all. As my car had been down for a few months, I wanted to get this resolved.
I called Ben/Sterling and informed them of Egan's findings. Sterling wanted to verify, and called Egan, and drove to Egan to see the vehicle again, and base his decision off of that. Egan was open to that, so he went. Sterling called me after and asked me "if I had my radiator recently replaced." I told him no, and he said "Well, you're missing the lower shroud, so that's why your wires got shredded, they were free to get pulled into the fan. I don't feel, again, that we had any involvement in this happening to your vehicle."
I've owned/driven the vehicle for 4 years. Clearly it doesn't matter that the loom (I change my oil myself, remember) has never been loose or free to get eaten by the fan. Odd that not 3 miles after they changed my oil the problems began. I don't believe in coincidence, and that shroud provides an easy out. While I respect that they're doing their jobs, throughout the whole process I've felt JL Management to be dismissive of the issues and of me, the customer. If a customer comes into your store, and you say you'll call them, you call them. If you schedule a meeting with a customer, you show up, or tell the customer you have to reschedule, you don't leave them hanging for hours on end. If your customer is standing in front of you, you don't take a call and leave them hanging for 12 minutes while you talk to another irate customer. All I know is that they've lost me as a customer, and most likely those that will listen to my experience.

I got my oil changed and fluids topped off at the end of October 2014 at the Jiffy Lube on Route 22 East in Bridgewater, NJ. The temperatures here in NJ over the last couple days have been below freezing, and will continue to fall. Yesterday, during some snowfall while driving an hour and a half to work, I was completely without wiper fluid. After some investigating, it turns out Jiffy Lube in Bridgewater had filled my wiper fluid with water, or some diluted version of wiper fluid, not the full strength kind designed to withstand temperatures to -20. So, naturally, it is frozen. This is not only a complete ripoff, it is positively dangerous.
In the mornings, between the salt from the roads, the kickback from the cars and the glare of the sun, you end up with a thick white film completely blocking your view. My only choice driving in was to tailgate some 18-wheelers to get enough kickback from their tires to be able to clear off the white film. Real safe in NJ, on one of the most busy and dangerous roads in the state, during rush hour! On my one hour drive home, the fluid still did not thaw and now I am dealing with the white film and the glare of headlights and street lights. This practice is 100% fraudulent, irresponsible and puts Jiffy Lube 100% liable for any accidents that may occur as a result of this negligence. Should I ever be so desperate to use a Jiffy Lube again, I will absolutely DEMAND that they NOT fill my wiper fluid and do not charge me for it.

I then ordered the brakes, the windshield wipers and premium oil change. I was charged $491.06, I handed over $500 in cash. I was then informed that due to the wiper upgrade that the receipt would have to be changed. When I received my receipt, it only showed that I was charged $391.06 which did not even include the charge for the wiper blades.
Here is what happened, in my opinion: 1) I paid $500 on a $391.06 bill and was given $8.94 back; 2) either your employee (Shaun **) stole from me or changed the receipt to appear as he collected only $400 and stole from your company. There was a gentleman there that came in after me and overhead Shaun tell me that he would have to change the invoice to reflect a discount he gave me for windshield wipers which were not even on the invoice.
I went to your store on a recommendation from one of your employees. Probably a state politician with ownership of a few auto shops, and now owning more! Jiffy Lube is terrible. Don't go there even if the price is low because by the time they scam a few repairs you have more than paid for some "more expensive" shop to do the main task correctly. Avoid..avoid..avoid.

I was pretty satisfied except for when I went to check my oil level which was good and I saw they put in cheap filter on my car when they claimed they would be putting a Mobil 1 filter which it says on the work order. I took my 1994 Ford into Jiffy Lube for a simple oil change. I've owned the car for almost two years. Now, I know it's an old car. Since I've owned it, the oil has been changed as scheduled by the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations. It's never shown a sign of leakage nor has it smelled like there has been any leakage. On Nov. 21st at 11:45, I took my car into the local store. After they pulled my car into the bay, the manager called me back and gave me his spiel. I said change the oil, that's all. Just regular oil. My car now makes a horrible noise like it's going to throw a rod. They put 5/30 oil weight.

The mechanic didn't inspect the car underneath at least for the services they performed; he looked very superficial at the car from the side of the passenger. I was told that the leak is due to humidity. My car broke down after almost 2 months. I contacted again Jiffy Lube and I mentioned what happened. I contacted the corporate office and I provided all the cost I incurred with the repair. The repair shop mechanic told me that whoever changed the transmission fluid removed the radiator from its settings, because this is the only way they could change the fluid and it did not put it back the way was supposed to be. In the end I end up with a blown radiator and I was lucky I didn't lose the transmission. Jiffy Lube declined my claim. I went in to Jiffy Lube in Roy, Utah on the 2nd of September. On the 5th of September I was driving when I heard a noise, my car lost all power. I pulled into a parking stall just before it died. I had it towed to a mechanic and he found that the plug had fallen out and all of my oil was gone. It was bone dry! I had a rep from Jiffy Lube come look at the car, he confirmed what had happened, replaced the plug, filter and oil. It is now October 27th and the exact thing happened again, I lost all power and my car died. Again I had it towed. The mechanic found that the bearing have been shaving off and the oil has those shavings in it. The motor is too damaged and is going to have to be replaced. I am now in the process of dealing with corporate to get this new motor. I do not have the money to replace it so am relying on Jiffy Lube to do the right thing and pay for it!!!! I stopped my car before entering the service bay. While I was talking to the sales guy, the service crew put the plastic on my steering wheel and over the seat and I heard them unlatch the hood. The quoted price came in at more than twice what was on the sign out front - the claim was that I couldn't get that deal with a surcharge for high mileage oil. I declined the upsell, they latched my hood and I left. That evening my car had an oil drip. This was fresh oil, not what was in the crankcase. It was coming off the top of the power steering fluid reservoir, nowhere near or below any oil circulating parts. All surrounding components and the underside of the hood were clean, so there was no spray. I suspect that if I had gone through with service this "leak" would have been another $50 or so.

I followed the rather complicated online registration and then tried to redeem the $20 Texaco gas card at a Texaco station. However, the station owner said the card was not valid. I tried to activate again twice unsuccessfully, and finally threw the rebate card away. Two months later, I received my rebate check for $20 in the mail. However, when I deposited the rebate check (it has account numbers, check numbers, a bank name, endorser signature, etc. -- copy of it attached) to the bank cashier, she showed me it wasn't a check at all -- it was a coupon for $20 off my next oil change! I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and fluid check for my daughter's car. All seemed fine until 2 weeks later when she took her car for a 200 mile trip. On the highway the rear of her car started smoking. She stopped immediately and called me. We got her car home safely. I found that the differential fill plug was missing and gear oil had sprayed all over under the rear left of the car. Jiffy Lube was the only place to work on this car. I returned to Jiffy Lube and told them what I thought happened. They apologized and said they would refill it for free if I buy a new plug and bring it with the car back to their shop. I did, and they found that the differential was leaking now due to a ruined front seal. The mechanics said there are a lot of reasons why this would leak, especially because the car is older and has higher mileage. But I knew it was because the differential overheated.
I spoke to the manager and he said he would review camera footage from the day of my car's repairs. I talked to the manager the next day and he admitted that a mechanic made the mistake and he apologized for the mistake and for my inconvenience and said this could have resulted in a catastrophic failure and serious injury. He said he had to fill out paperwork and I would hear back from him in a couple of days. Since then I have been given the names of 2 higher ups who are supposed to resolve the problems but when I called I was told someone else is working on the problem. I have been going to the same Jiffy Lube in St. George, UT for several years (store #2643). Always been a good experience until today. I am not a child, I am not stupid, so don't treat me as if I were. I bet I was asked at least 4 times if I was having a good day or how my day was going. I do not like to be hovered over and patronized. I specifically asked how much the oil change would be, I was told $24.99. Then you get called out for the "talk." No, I don't want a transmission flush, too expensive on this old car. "No, it's really not, you see. Because if your tranny goes out, it will cost a lot more to get it fixed than a flush." Really?
Next, the old "new air filter" scam. No, I will buy one and change it myself. On and on. So it is done and he says "checked all your levels everything was fine." I said "my window washers aren't working, what could cause that?" I'm pretty sure the motor is working, I can hear it, could the lines be clogged, I asked and if so, how can I clear them? He immediately replied "well we filled your reservoir." Lie because they haven't worked since I filled it, so how could the fluid be down?
He kept insisting I take the phone number of a mechanic (a guy that used to work there) and I said at least three times, I have my own. I go in there for an oil change not one single thing more that is not provided with that change. So the bill comes out and I asked for the total, $31.86. How come so much, I asked? That's the cost. I explained that I had already inquired and was told $24.99 a price I have paid the last 3-4 oil changes. No mam, the price is $29.99, not what I was told. Well mam the cost is $29.99 he said over and over.
Then he asked if I had a coupon, no. Oh well then that's why. Never used a coupon before. Never ever argue with a customer, never. I thought that was the end, however, I was wrong. Go out to get into my car and guess what, they had moved the seat so far back I could not reach the pedals? I was so upset over the cost I couldn't find the button to move it forward. As he shut my door it was "have a nice day" and "God Bless you." Huh, what? seriously????? I won't go back.

I arrived at the location on Pacific Ave. in Tigard, on the corner of Walnut. I asked the assistant mgr. if they had much experience with Minis and he admitted they did not. I told him that I called in advance to make sure they could do it. Right about that time, the tech that took my initial call interrupted my conversation with the assistant manager and blurted out, "I was the one you spoke to and we can work on Minis". When I pointed the situation, he became defensive and disrespectful. Finally, the tech who went to buy the wrench came back empty handed. He had to use an adjustable wrench to loosen it up.

Goodyear also said it was unlikely my car would have metal shavings in the differential fluid, but he would take a look for no cost. (Excellent customer service here). So he lifted the car and showed me the rear differential fluid, which was clear, and then informed me there is no front differential fluid to check (weird). So in the end, my car is fine, no differential fluid needed, and I did go back to Jiffy Lube to talk to that young man but I did not see him working, so I was unable to find out why he lied to me. After reading some of the complaints here at this website, I decided to post something so other women will be warned to be careful when taking their car to Jiffy Lube in West Seattle. I thought it was a better idea to disclose what this young man is doing then not to, sorry dude! It's a shame that it might only take one employee to give a business a bad reputation.

I pulled in and asked ** the manager at the West Chicago Jiffy Lube at 137 W. North Ave. if they could help me replace a turn signal bulb. He said "Sure give us 10-15 minutes." Great, I thought. Then 30 minutes later when I inquired how it was going they bothered to look at it for the first time and another 20 minutes later they said they couldn't fix it. Seriously? I wouldn't have stayed if they had just been honest with me about the timing. As a result, I ran out of time to visit my mom in the hospital and I was late to an important meeting. You should respect people's time. Horrible customer service, I'll never go back.

My wife took the car for oil change to jiffy lube, and told them just oil change nothing else. 10 min later they come with cabin air filter and engine air filter claiming it need to be changed. My wife told them no because we did that few months ago. They finished the job and she paid for oil change and left. The next day a/c stopped working even when my wife told them not to touch anything else. They pulled the cabin filter out and I just find out from YouTube that they had to open 8 screws and pull the glove compartment out to get to that filter. This is last time we take our cars to jiffy lube.

I brought my 1st car into Jiffy Lube on July 5th, 2011 which was a 98 Ford Taurus for the oil change and they topped off all my fluid and that's the only time someone's been under the hood of that car. We went to Bellingham, WA to go visit my birth mom and sister for a few days and came home, done some more driving and 1 day the car wouldn't start so we pop the hood up only to find out someone forgot to tighten down the power steering fluid cap and power steering fluid was all over the engine and so I called them. The manager came out to where the car was and I told him it hasn't been that long since we were in there and they may have killed the starter from them not tightening down the cap to the PS so they made arrangements for the car to be towed at the location I got the service at NO CHARGE and they told me the starter had gone bad.
Well, the car was in perfect shape before the trip to Jiffy Lube and they said we needed to buy a new starter cuz it wasn't their fault. My dad was nice to loan us the money for a new starter that they put in and it cost $200. I got pictures under the hood so I had my proof on that car. My 94 Toyota Tercel went into Jiffy Lube sometime in 2013 and same thing oil change and they topped off my fluid. Yes, they told me I had an engine oil leak but Never knew it was bad enough to where the car died going over the 205 bridge going into Vancouver and we checked the oil dipstick and it was BARE and so I called Jiffy Lube and the manager came out to where the car was stuck on the freeway and he put some oil into the car and he couldn't get it started. Then I had my friend take me to where my car was and he towed me and the car home and that car didn't last what 10 days? Pffft I will not take any car of Jiffy Lube again.

Found your website and thought my story needed to be shared as I'm trying, still trying to get the issue resolved and I'm currently getting nowhere speaking with customer service agents at Jiffy Lube.
I took my car (2002 Nissan Altima) in to have its emissions done yesterday, July 29th, 2014, at the Jiffy Lube located on Buford Highway in Chamblee, GA. Store #2106. When I requested to have my emissions done the attendant, a large heavy set individual, asked for my keys to move my car. I was not comfortable with that, and in a previous visit to have my emissions done I moved my car to where it needed to be so I knew it wasn't an issue, so I asked if I could. He insisted that he do it and so I handed over my keys.
After the emissions test was finished the attendant came up to me and said he had accidentally broken the car door handle off the driver's side door. He asked if this had ever happened before and I said no, because obviously I had a door handle on there when I arrived. Both the store manager, **, and the attendant apologized for the issue and said that it would be taken care of and they would work on getting it repaired. They explicitly told me that Jiffy Lube would pay for the repair, and that I would not have any out of pocket costs, and that if my car had to be in the shop for a day Jiffy Lube would provide me with a rental car. I remained calm and said that it was fine as long as the issue was resolved. They promised to call me that afternoon and let me know what the next steps were going to be. Of course, they never called.
The following morning I called the store and spoke with the Store Manager again who informed me that the invoice and repair request form had been sent to their corporate claims representative, **. The manager then asked me to call back in 5 minutes because her District Manager was on the phone. When I called back 10 minutes later she asked me again to call back in 5 minutes. It took over an hour to finally get in contact with her again. Once again, she told me to call **, who up until this point I had no idea who ** was. She told me and gave me his contact information and said to have a nice day and that was it.
I called **, who didn't answer and called me back after I left a voice mail 30 minutes later. ** informed me that Jiffy Lube would not be covering the cost of the repair because, and this is a direct quote, "It [the car handle breaking] could have happened to anyone, and just because it happened while the car was in their care it doesn't mean that they should have to cover the cost of repair." He said that the car was old, and these things happen and that if it had happened while I was operating the car I would have to pay for it anyways. I said that was true, and if it happened while I was operating the vehicle I would cover the cost, but it didn't. It happened when their employee was operating my vehicle, and when he obviously was careless and used too much force to open my door and broke the handle. He said the company would happily provide me with a Jiffy Lube gift card for the inconvenience. I said, "So, I take my car in for a $20 emissions test and you guys break my car door handle, which will cost $300 for repairs and a gift card to Jiffy Lube is the best solution we can come up with?" He said yes, and I told him thanks, but no thanks and that if this is how they treat their customers and their property then I do not see myself going back to Jiffy Lube for any type of work ever again. He said that was fine and wished me luck on my repairs.
Afterwards, I called the store manager again to get the franchise owners contact information in an attempt to work my way up the ladder. She said she did not have it and that I would have to go through Corporate for it. After I mentioned the repairs not being covered she said, "Oh, yeah, we don't cover car door handles. Sorry. Good luck in your repairs though. Did they not offer you a gift card?" I told her they did, and that it was unnecessary. I called Corporate, was on hold for an hour waiting for a representative, and because I'm currently at work I got off the line after leaving a voice mail asking for someone to contact me regarding the issue. I still have not received a call back.
In short, I went to Jiffy Lube for a $20 emissions and left with a broken car door handle worth $300 in repairs and the promise of a gift card in compensation for their negligence.

I drive a 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP with around 89,000 miles. I took my car to the Burien, WA Jiffy Lube for an oil change and the associate told me I should get a transmission flush because my car was 30,000 miles over their recommended mileage to do so, which is bad for the car. Being that I know little about cars and assuming I could trust his recommendation as a paid employee, I agreed to get the transmission flush.
Around 10 days after the visit, I was driving my car on 1st Ave. and all the sudden it stopped driving in drive. It will drive in manual (slowly and you can tell it doesn't want to) and reverse, but not in drive. Because my car NEVER had any transmission issues prior to the transmission flush, I drove it slowly in manual back to Jiffy Lube and asked them to take a look and make sure it was correctly flushed and taken care of. The associate this time let me know they did everything correctly, but sometimes transmission flushes causes transmissions to basically stop working. If this was a known possibility, why was I not informed BEFORE I agreed to have it done? I would have NEVER agreed to do it!
The Burien location filled out paperwork and let me know that the problem is now in corporate's hands, and that corporate would contact me on Monday (7/21) to schedule a 3rd party transmission specialist to take a look and determine a solution. It was a Saturday when it stopped working, so waiting the weekend was understandable. However, Monday passed and despite calling them repeatedly, I have yet to hear a solution from corporate 10 DAYS after my transmission stopped working! That is 10 days I have had no car to go to work in Fremont, go to the gym in Westwood, go to the grocery store, run errands, or live my normal social life.
And on top of that the Burien store told me the company does not provide rental cars, even though I am without a car because of them. Corporate hasn't even called to let me know where they are at in the process of scheduling the specialist! They only called once to ask questions I already provided to the local location - nothing more. Needless to say, they took advantage of me. It was an expensive service and now my transmission doesn't work.

Fortunately for the owner, MG parts are relatively cheap and in plentiful supply used. But she still faces 2-3 hrs labor and $100 for a used pan for this act of gross incompetence. When I tried to show him my driver's manual, he just dismissed me. I can't even give a 1 star for this kind of service (but there is no option to go lower). Coincidentally, I went to a Firestone store because I had a coupon and it was 1 mile from home. The next two servicings were at Jiffy Lube. The Firestone filter, though I was charged for having it replaced both of the subsequent times I went to Jiffy Lube, was still on the car. The engine "blew up," catastrophic failure. I contacted Jiffy Lube. Some "exec" came out and looked at the car. Seeing the Firestone filter, rather than admit the "mistake," he claimed, "You clearly had it serviced again in the last 1500 miles and we have nothing to do with the engine failing." Smugly, arrogantly, that was it.
If you can PROVE similar experience, because this is appears to be a pernicious (I would never had known had I not used a Firestone store prior to my Jiffy Lube visits), fraudulent (the same "mistake" was made at two different stores?) practice, because Jiffy Lube is huge, LARGE punitive damages would seem to be in order. I took the car back to Jiffy Lube, they tried to dry the bulbs, they couldn't all the way, a part of the water remained, but in the process of installing the light bulb cover properly, after nearly an hour of sweating it out, they lost 3 clips of the air-filter hose which they had to unplug principally they didn't seem to know how to do it right.
So, they ordered the parts which took them two months (to get the clips) from the manufacturer, and when they installed it, they did it in the most careless way. Wasn't due for another oil change until 173,809 mil - My vehicle has 172,104 mil, currently - Diagnostic was this morning (5/20/2014). My motor has now seized because there is NO OIL in my vehicle.
Finding Facts: The mechanic from Meineke, who performed the diagnostic thereafter, found that there was no oil in my tank - Commonly, one would assume this was due to a leak or some other catalyst that may have caused my oil to perhaps evaporate three quarts during the course of five weeks - Theoretically, the tech that changed my oil from Jiffy Lube out of Wethersfield CT, forgot to add three more quarts of oil (my car holds four) based on the evidence from the test to find any leakage - Furthermore, there were no leaks, valves and plugs were tight, and based on the evidence, there was only one quart of oil that was left in my tank on the date of the last oil change (4/3/2014) causing the seize. Conclusively, my attorney and I are pursuing this since I have a substantial amount of evidence that backs my history of regular maintenance on my vehicle from Jiffy Lube which will, in turn, cancel out any involvement of negligence on my end.

I am writing because my boyfriend and I had our oil changed at the West 7th Street location (store 1135, St. Paul, MN) on March 26, 2014. Over the next few days, my truck began to make noise. On March 30, 2014 the check oil light came on (we checked the oil, it seemed there was still oil in there), so we headed back to the store to get it checked out. On the way to the store, we ended up breaking down on the side of the road. We were towed into Jiffy Lube, and the technician informed us the oil had drained out. The technician added more oil to our truck (he was the same technician who changed the oil on 3/26). The technician made sure to ask us whether we have an enemy who loosened the plug.
Following the employee adding more oil to our truck, we restarted it, and it sounded terrible. We left the truck there as to not cause further damage. The district manager of the store told us he would have an insurance adjuster come and inspect the vehicle over the following week. The report findings mailed to us contain, in my opinion, contradictory information. As the cover letter to the report states: "We sent a third party investigator to inspect your vehicle. The report states that the cause of failure is, 'Loss of oil due to loose drain plug. Drain plug may have been tampered with as there is no oil blowback on the undercarriage which you would see if a drain plug is loose while vehicle is operating. The engine is running properly at this time'. The damage to your vehicle is not a result of your services performed at Jiffy Lube".
This proves to be contradictory as the word "failure" is first used to describe the condition of the vehicle, yet they state the engine is running properly. Also, one sentence later they admit there IS damage to our vehicle, although one sentence before, said the engine is running properly. The letter also admits the drain plug was loose. We finally picked up our truck, and the truck was still making noise. As a result, we brought the truck into another mechanic, who stated my truck needs a whole new engine, estimated to cost near $3,000. The district manager holds his ground that the truck makes no sound and that Jiffy Lube will not be doing anything further to make this right or look into the matter -- which I find unacceptable.
His report states that my oil could not have drained out while driving as there was no blowback. My question is whether or not it is relevant when exactly the oil drained out, while I was driving, or while my truck was parked somewhere, as many people do not always inspect under his or her vehicle before driving. The place/time of drainage is not relevant in my eyes -- what is relevant to me is that the oil DID drain out and caused engine damage to my vehicle. The fact there was no blowback simply tells to me it must have drained while parked. Furthermore, the report states the drain plug MAY have been tampered with -- indicating it also MAY have been a mistake on Jiffy Lube's end.
Jiffy Lube's main defense in this dispute is the lack of blowback on the undercarriage. I feel that is an inadequate response to an expensive problem, especially considering oil can drain while parked or moving, and the fact we left our vehicle in the care of Jiffy Lube immediately following the incident of breaking down on the side of the road. It seems sketchy that this is Jiffy Lube's main defense when the first person to get under the vehicle following the mishap was the same employee who changed the oil in the first place. I am stating this because there is a possibility there was blowback which could have been wiped clean to avoid having to pay for damages. Regardless, the real problem has NOTHING to do with blowback, the problem is that the oil drained out due to a loose drain plug that should have been tightened by a Jiffy Lube employee after the initial oil-change service.
I do not believe this is good customer service or something that should be tolerated by any customer entrusting his or her vehicle to an oil change company. I believe I am entitled to payment for the work that must be done to my engine because of the mistake made by a Jiffy Lube employee. The company does not want to make this right or take responsibility for their mistake, and as a result, I have been without a working vehicle since March 30, 2014. We have called and left numerous messages, and still no response. I trusted Jiffy Lube with my vehicle, and now I will be out close to $3,000 if this is not resolved. I wanted to share my experience with others so that you do not go through the same [expensive & inconvenient] ordeal.

My daughter took her 2004 Chevy Malibu to Jiffy Lube in Ft. Myers FL store #1244 (7140 CYPRESS LAKE DR. FORT MYERS , FL 33907-6500) to have her oil changed. When it was done, she started the car and drove away. She got less than 1/2 mile away when the car died and she then noticed the oil light had come on. It apparently locked up. She tried to restart it and after several minutes it finally did start but said "it was not happy" and sounded very rough and knocked pretty bad (which of course it never did) but managed to drive back to Jiffy Lube.
She walked in the store and said she had a problem with it. The girl that worked there said she knew why; they found the oil filter on the parking lot pavement. Through a phone call I was originally told that it was an oil seal (gasket) problem but in a second call I was told that the filter internal threads failed and the filter blew off immediately when my daughter started the car to leave the store. I was sent in a text photos of the oil filter and it indeed had bad threads The district manager at this point was very apologetic and "promised" he/Jiffy Lube would take care of this and make it right.
Now, I live in Indiana and told him I was fly down to help resolve this matter and he said it wasn't necessary but I knew better. I told the DM that I did not want my daughter driving this car for fear of it locking up again. He also told my daughter, "Not to worry, you can drive a car 2 or 3 days without oil." He of course denied this and I said, "You're lucky to drive 2 or 3 minutes without oil." I told him I was going to have the car towed to a GM dealer to have it checked out and that she would have to rent a car to get to work. I had two days of car rental, towing and a bill to have it look into at the dealer. All this totaled $329.
Now, the dealer did say they couldn't find much wrong with it other than some lifter noise... but, they had it when it was warm out and when she started it the next day in the cooler mornings, it knocked badly and worse when she accelerated. Granted the car did have 128k on it but due to the loss of oil, the engine life has been diminished greatly and wanted a rebuilt engine or possibly this one rebuilt. Trying to shorten this story here... the district manager's attitude change some and would not return several of my calls and after leaving a few messages on his phone. In person I told him we were looking at a new Malibu at the Chevy dealer where we had her 2004 Malibu checked out. But the dealer already knew this car had engine problems and would not give us as much for it because of the engine issues.
I asked the Jiffy Lube manager for the $329 for the towing, car rental and the dealer bill plus I asked $450 to $500 for the devaluation of her 2004 Malibu and said they were getting off cheaply. After a couple more weeks, I again on a Thursday and wanted some answers and he promised me again he would call me the next day with an answer from higher up than him. Not surprising I did not get a call back. Four days later, I got a letter saying that I was denied the "$1000" I was asking for (not sure where the $1000 came from). There were a few other not truths in the letter, but this review has gotten too long as it is and I think I have gotten my point across...
If you want go reliable oil change service, please avoid this Jiffy Lube, other Jiffy Lube stores and any quick change oil stores. Play it safe and take you car to a much more reliable and reputable place such as a certified dealer or someplace you know you can trust. It's not worth the loss or hassle. BTW we ended up buying a new car.

BUYER BEWARE!!! This used to be the friendly neighborhood Jiffy Lube that was recommended to me by my friends. I had been here a couple of times and it went well - until today. First they attempted to sell me a transmission flush that I do not need, and when I refused that service the guy said, "OK try to start it up". It would not start. Then he tells me I need a new battery because mine is not holding a charge. He even showed me on his little machine where it showed my battery was dead. I said this battery has been working fine so that is really strange, and he told me it happens all the time in there! I asked for a jump start to get me to the dealership and to talk to the manager who came out and started yelling and pounding on my vehicle while my son was in it after I told him that I did not appreciate them trying to take advantage of me like that.
I called the police because the manager apparently could not calm himself down. While I was waiting he continued to pound on my window and yell at me telling me that I should just leave without paying. I had to wait for a police officer to arrive so I could feel safe enough to get out of my vehicle and pay for the oil change because I did not want to leave without paying and have him call the police on me. When I left I went directly to the car wash where my car sat for over 30 minutes with the doors open and then started right up without any problem. I then left and went to Battery Exchange and had the battery tested and it is fine. It's too bad because this used to be the only Jiffy Lube I trusted to change the oil in my car. I will be going to the dealership from now on. Women, and especially women with children, be very careful going into this place.

I brought my van in for a quick $29.99 oil change, ** the Jiffy Lube guy goes through the normal hoopla of recommended services. I told him I only want the advertised price of $29.99. ** printed an estimate of ~$47 and mentioned it's just a high estimate. I signed it without thinking because I have come here on multiple occasions. The oil change was completed in 15 minutes as normal. ** typed up the final bill, it came out to be $43.85.
Obviously, it surprised me. I questioned what happened to the $29.99 oil change I requested? ** replied..."We gave you the high mileage oil." I told him, I didn't ask for the high mileage oil, and all I want was a quick oil change for $29.99. ** replied, “You should have told us that you wanted the "Shell oil" and it's on your records. I mentioned I have always paid for the $29.99 service and there was never an instance I have asked for "high mileage oil". I didn't want to waste my time arguing over ~$14. To me, Jiffy Lube is using car salesman tactics. Sadly to say, I will never come back with my 3 cars. And for ~$14 to bring out your true colors and lose your integrity... :( Oops, sorry you didn't have it to begin with! PS. You should call Jesse at Neighborhood’s Garage on how to run an honest shop!

First of all, they asked me which oil I want. I told I'd like to have 0W full synthetic. They were fine with that. After the service, I receive a sticker where it says 5W full synthetic and next change due for 3000 miles. I asked them about and they replied that it has to be changed in 3000 miles. Full synthetic always go for at least 6000 miles sometimes for 12000. They replaced the sticker with 7500 miles and assured me it was a typo. For $90 only 3000 miles is kinda expensive oil change. No trust to this company anymore.

I have used Jiffy Lube for years for my standard oil change because they are convenient and their service staff has always been friendly; however after my most recent experience, I am no longer a Jiffy Lube customer. On a visit, the staff told me that a full synthetic oil was recommended for my car. I am admittedly not car-knowledgeable and agreed due to their insistence that it was manufacturer recommended. After checking with the dealer and manual, I learned it wasn't. On my next visit to a different Jiffy Lube, they again spent time trying to convince me to use a full synthetic because it was the manufacturer's recommendation. I didn't allow it.
I sent my concern about feeling manipulated and given false recommendations on 2 occasions at 2 locations to Jiffy Lube's customer service. The man who follow up could not have cared less about my concerns. The extent of his customer service was basically a monotone response that he was sorry to lose me as a customer, period. Initially, I was just somewhat disgruntled by feeling misled and taken advantage of. However, it was their follow-up customer service that convinced me customer service is not their priority.

On March 18, 2014 I paid Jiffy Lube in Lakewood to change my front and rear differential fluid. The next day, March 19, I was driving from my home in Lakewood, CO to Cheyenne, WY for work when my AT Oil Temp light came on. I immediately pulled over and shut the car down, letting it cool off. While it was cooling, I looked up the closest Jiffy Lube which was in Ft Collins, CO. I drove straight there. They assured me the tech checked the differential fluid and they were fine. The tech then changed the transmission fluid.
On Saturday, March 22, we left for spring break. On I70, I saw my mpg indicator shoot all the way up and noticed that when I pushed down on the accelerator it was working. I immediately started pulling over to the shoulder. At some point during the initial noticing of the mpg surge and before I came to a complete stop, there was a thunk. We pulled over as far as we could onto the shoulder and put the car into park. The car was still running, but when put into drive, it would not move.
I am now out: $200 initial tow to Green River, UT, $200 shuttle service to Grand Junction, $387 car rental, $525 second tow, $241 for the transmission fluid change that did not need to be done for another 40,000 miles, $1553, PLUS the initial estimate of $8855 to repair the car. PLUS the damage done to the skid plate/bumper. More than $10,000 damage because the front differential fluid was not filled. Lakewood blames Ft. Collins because they said they "checked" the fluid. Ft. Collins blames Lakewood because they didn't fill the fluid. Meanwhile, I have no car.

On December 31, 2013, I paid them $69.01 for an oil change with a check. They not only cashed the check, they also ran an ACH (electronic transfer) of my check, In other words, they double billed me. I called them and they assured me they would send a refund check. Long story short, they never did. I had to go to my bank to get the ACH debit reversed. Adding insult to injury, today I found out that Jiffy Lube filed a claim with Telecheck for supposedly my having put a stop payment on the check, which is a flat out lie, as they are well aware that they cashed my check. They not only charged me twice, now they want to charge me a 3rd time via a fraudulent claim. Is this what Jiffy Lube has come to, stooping so low as to needing to defraud a 73 year old senior citizen?

I bought a Kia Optima 7 months ago with a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, Peace of mind correct? yes that what I thought. I always taken my car to Kia dealership for service and maintenance, however I happen to be in a different state on 1/29/2014 and needed to have the oil change before driving back to NJ. I stop at a Jiffy lube on the way back to get just a simple oil change. I was greeted at the car by manager who took my car into the shop and than 5 minutes later he came in and told me I needed to add synthetic oil because I have a GDI engine (Gas Direct injection). I know now that was just an up sale and nevertheless they sold me on it, whatever best for the vehicle. My oil change should have cost me 38.00 in and out however because of the more expensive oil the bill was now 104.91 so I paid it.
On 3/10/2014 driving back to Warrington PA was I was when the oil change was done, I took off from a light and the engine started to click and a slight knock, however, no oil lights or engine lights came on but I stop in a shopping Plaza and checked for the noise, could not determine the noise. Someone walked by and stated to check my oil, I did and it was bone dry. I walked across the parking lot to an advance auto and bought 5w20 oil that the car requires and continued on to PA 12 more mile.
On 3/11/2014 the next morning I took the car back to Jiffy Lube 1.6 mile away from the hotel I was staying and explained the issue. The manager stated that he would take the car in and see what the issues was, service adviser had come back into the office and explained that the oil filter was loose and so was the drain plug and also they had forgotten the tamper seal around the plug.
Jiffy lube basically gave me another oil change but explained that the engine noise was still there and told me that the GM would be contacting me to figure out how we fix this. I never received that call and i ended up calling back and was told he still was not there and they would contact him and ask him to contact me. 2 hours later i receive a call from the GM only explaining to me that the district manager would be calling me.
3/12/2014 the District Manager contacted me and stated that an adjuster would be going out to see the car which now was at the Kia Dealer Ship. Within 2 hours again the district Manager called me back and stated that he was denying my claim because I had drove 1000 miles over my 3 month/3000 mile warranty. However, my car is 5000 miles to an oil change and paper work and sticker stated that I should bring it back in 5000 miles. However, the back on the warranty policy on the back on the receipt explain the 3 months/3000 miles.
I know nothing about cars when it comes to auto repair and this is the reasons I take it to the professionals, however messed up this one time, thinking these guys were anything close to professionals. 2 months I had been leaking oil and not knowing it, I mean how was I suppose to know with no warning light, and no noise to that point of break down, so yes it leaked until it was dry. I felt that I got an oil change and not due for a new one for another couple thousand miles so why would I check the oil.
Kia Had confirmed that my engine needs to be replaced and my warranty will not cover it and and they stated that jiffy lubes finger prints are all over the car because of the name brands are on the car. So now I have a new car that just sitting in my drive way that I cannot drive, needs a new engine that will cost almost 10,000.00 and no one will fix it because of voided warranties. Jiffy lube wrote a written statement saying that they did not tighten oil filter and drain plug and no tamper seal was added. I mean what more Proof do I need, they stand behind the 3 months/3000 miles warranty.
I've contacted the Attorney General, getting own Attorney, the councilmen and BBB. I will not stop until this straight and fair. Jiffy lube needs to understand that they can not shatter someone's life due to a 20 minute oil change, it's not right and unfair and it has to stop. It's horrific to read all of the reviews I've read and i'ts the same complaints and no one has done nothing. I refuse to take no for an answer.

On 2/18/2014, went to Jiffy Lube in Pacific Beach Calif., for a simple oil change, at 8:36 am and paid $102.21, at 9:17 am. I was taken care of by shop manager. After paying, I started my car and attempted to drive home, which perhaps is 1 mile away, and I noticed it smoking. Pacific Beach Foreign was several blocks down, I went there and asked them for help. They ended up replacing my radiator, it is visibly freshly broken. Prior to my having PB Foreign fix it, I called the manager at Jiffy Lube and asked him what happened, rather than him apologizing, he immediately referred me to his friend to fix it. He said his friend wasn't far away, and would fix it today. He mentioned it wouldn't cost me as much as PB Foreign.
I told him I wanted him to pay for it because he broke it, and he said he could not do that. He made more excuses. There wasn't any way I would drive my BMW 740IL to another place, 1st of all it wouldn't make it, 2nd I do not know this person. I kinda think I was shafted. My girlfriend is retired DMV, she said to also make note, my car passed smog just days before the oil change. She also has been trying to solve this, and because of a run around, manager at Jiffy Lube, keeps saying his district manager Shaffer will be calling us back. This Shaffer hasn't not even attempted to phone us back.
We have contacted corporate, only to get the same, no return phone calls at all (by the way, there was another part damaged, is minor, thought to overlook). Very frustrated, and feeling ripped off for an oil change ($102.21), that ends damaging my radiator ($381.42), cost me a total of: $483.63. I would appreciate Jiffy Lube reimbursing me for the total amount of: $483.63. The manager of Jiffy Lubes insistent attempts to refer me to some friend his, had me questioning why my radiator was broken by him in the first place, and really leaves me never wanting to return there.

In early August I had my oil changed... Three days later I noticed my van was leaking green stuff... coolant, so I took my van back to Jiffy Lube in Chicopee to see if they can see where it was leaking from, they said it wasn't leaking, could be one of my two other cars, still knew it was mine. Anyway went to New Hampshire for a vacation, coming home my car started smoking a lot... from underneath, couldn't drive it home. Had to tow it and my camper all the way back to Holyoke, Mass... Took almost 9 hours and $600.00, all because they couldn't be bothered to see if it was leaking...
Had my mechanic check it the next day, told me the leak was coming from my heating/ac system, he took it all off and it had six holes in it, if they had checked it they would have noticed the holes right away!! They could have saved me $600.00 and nine hours of aggravation... Today was the last straw, my van went to the shop for some brakes and to check oil. Well I had my oil changed on the 21st of Jan. The air filter was black... and they said it was okay....I don't know about you but I would like to be able to trust someone with my van...so if they say they did this, this and this they should....Not bringing my van back there or my other two cars......

Went to have my oil changed at the Apache Junction Jiffy Lube. Just wanted a simple oil change and they tried to keep charging me for a "deluxe inspection". I told them I just need my oil changed. They ended up charging me for the deluxe package and ended up costing me 50 dollars. They checked the other fluid levels and checked the air in the tires, which I did not them to do but they did anyways. They took out 20 psi out of each tire, claiming they only needed 30 but the tire clearly says 50. Turns out they go by what the door says and not the actual tire, which makes no sense to me.
After they charged me, I found out that they did not reset the oil level in my car. It still says it has 50 percent oil life. Left angry and the manager did not seem to care about what I thought, only cared about the part where I paid. Had to blow my tires back up to the correct psi levels and had to take my car to fix the oil life in my car. Very unsatisfied and will not recommend to anyone.

Had my car serviced just before a trip out of town. While out of town front differential went out due to lack of fluids. Rear diff was low. The fluids had not been checked at Jiffy Lube. When asked to cover my repair bill, District manager stated that Jiffy Lube won't pay. He said it's not their fault. I stated that to have both out/nearly out was VERY unlikely. He said whatever and will not pay.

I am a former assistant manager of the South Florida Ave Jiffy lube. I have worked there for about 2 years. The turnover rate is ridiculous. They hire anybody off the streets with no background or experience. The blue shirts and the red shirts employees profile every customer that comes through the door to see if they're big spenders. If you drove a busted car they won't spend a minute on you. I have seen the store manager Jason ** cheat so many customers in buying things they didn't need for the vehicles. Sometimes not even completing the services that they sold to the customers. Their prices are way too expensive.
I would only do my oil change myself there if it was only for free. I would never pay 39.99 for conventional oil change or 59.99 for synthetic blend oil change or 89.99 for a full synthetic oil change. Take my word for it you do not want to go to this Jiffy Lube on South Florida Avenue. I quit for these reasons. This isn't a mad employee comment. This is to inform anybody who thinks the stories about Jiffy Lube aren't real or it can't happen to you. It is really that bad. I have seen many customers being screwed out of problems from the cars that we caused.

I Recently had an oil change done by Jiffy Lube in the Omaha, NE area. After a few months, I started smelling oil burning from my 2000 Toyota Solara. After I got home, I came to realize the mechanic who did my oil change forgot to put back on my oil cap, well actually put it on halfway. Well anyways oil got all over inside the engine compartment. After putting the oil cap on correctly and extensive cleaning, my engine is now leaking oil. It seems that I possibly lost engine pressure due to the oil cap not being put on correctly and believe to have blown my head gasket. Like I said it is a 2000 Toyota with 125,000 miles but that car has never leaked one drop of anything especially oil!!!
I have contacted Jiffy Lube and pretty much they hold no responsibility to their faulty work... I am a single father with a mortgage and expenses like these really suck! I am also a licensed electrician and I don't show up to someone house or place of employment and charge them for faulty work... Its called warranty JIFFY LUBE!! Learn some responsibility to your shady unskilled no backbone business! By the way I paid over $60.00 for that oil change, what a complete ripoff!! I will never use them again I will suggest to everyone I know and don't to do the same!!
