I went to my local Jiffy Lube on 3-29-25 for an oil change. I have going to Jiffy Lube for about 2 yrs. The tech told me after about an hour that my oil pan cap was not fitting back on the oil pan. After about another hr. the tech informed me that the district manager was coming by to try to either fix the oil cap or fit a different type onto the pan. After about 30 min. the tech informed me that the district manager could not get any cap to fit the oil pan. Additionally, the tech said the oil pan was cracked and would have to be replaced. He said that the district manager told me that the oil pan was not leaking at the moment. He said Jiffy Lube would replace the oil pan for free. I just needed to take my car to the Clinton highway location and they would replace tge oil pan.
I took my car there on 3-31-25. I had to leave it overnight with them. This meant that I had to rent a car to get to work. Total cost of the car rental was $192. I picked up my car the next day at Jiffy Lube. I drove the car home. The next morning the new oil pan was leaking oil onto my garage floor. I did not take the car back to Jiffy Lube. I took it to Firestone to get it fixed. This cost $446. Again, I had to rent a car for the day. This cost was $115. I had already called the Jiffy Lube headquarters to voice emtpy concerns about their workmanship. I never received any follow up from Jiffy lube.
I did a search and found out that the local franchisee that owned the Jiffy Lubes in Knoxville Tn. is Joe **. I emailed Joe and explained the situation. He emailed me back and assured me that a VP of his office would call me. After a reminder from me a few days later I received a call from the VP. I had asked the owner to reimburse me for the cost of the oil pan at Firestone and the cost of the rental cars. During the call the VP politely informed me that since I did not go back to them after the oil pan was leaking after they replaced it for free that They would not reimburse me at all. I reached out to the owner, Joe, one last time. I asked him if he would at least pay for the work done by Firestone and I would eat the cost of the car rentals. He did not respond.

Had my oil changed, on my way home (less than 10 miles), my engine started knocking extremely loudly. Parked my car and contacted them, the store manager came out to look for himself, agreed the car didn’t sound like that when it was serviced and said “your type of car is known to have issues after an oil change” I explained my car has never had a single major issue as it’s always been maintained by a certified mechanic and all work goes on Carfax. I told him I will be holding Jiffy Lube responsible for whatever the issue is, as he even admitted himself the car was not making the locking sound and he flat out said he knows they won’t pay. Sounds like I’ll be suing.

As I was approaching town, my car alerted me to low tire pressure in the rear driver's side. Concerned, I stopped by Jiffy Lube in Appleton without an appointment. To my relief, they took my car in immediately. Within minutes, they identified the issue—a tiny wood shard lodged in the tire. They showed me exactly what they found, carefully removed it, and patched the small hole on the spot. The entire process took less than 20 minutes, and I was back on the road safely. I’m incredibly grateful for their quick, professional, and courteous service. Without their fast response, I could have ended up with a flat tire in a much less convenient or safe place. Thank you to the team at Jiffy Lube Appleton—you really saved the day!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS JIFFY LUBE — THEY DESTROYED MY ENGINE AND TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY. I took my 2017 Ford Escape—my reliable, well-maintained vehicle with ZERO prior issues—to Jiffy Lube on December 19, 2024, for a simple oil change. That was the beginning of a nightmare. Three days later, on December 22, after driving only 37 miles, my car suddenly lost power on the highway and began spewing blue-gray smoke. I was forced to pull over and have it towed to Dobbs Tire and Auto Center.
What Dobbs found was shocking: the engine was coated in black, dirty oil, and they drained over 6 quarts—despite my vehicle only holding 4.3 quarts total. The dipstick showed oil filled over an inch above the full line. The mechanic explained that the excessive oil fouled the spark plugs, destroyed the catalytic converters, and permanently ruined the engine. Even after replacing plugs and trying to clean it up, the car died again on a test drive. Diagnosis: engine completely destroyed.
I immediately brought this to Jiffy Lube’s attention. Their response? Blame everyone but themselves. They claimed they only put in the right amount of oil and pointed fingers at Dobbs—without ever speaking to the mechanic or inspecting the damage. Just outright denial, despite the clear timeline and mechanical evidence.
Let’s be real: my car worked perfectly before Jiffy Lube touched it. It died 37 miles later, drowned in oil. And now I’m left with a dead engine and thousands in losses. If you value your vehicle, your time, and your money—DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. Jiffy Lube’s negligence cost me a car, and their refusal to take any responsibility is shameful.

End of 2023 I purchased a 1985 Dodge Ramcharger in Washington State. Before driving it to Florida I needed some service done to the SUV. Looking for nationwide warranty and explicitly asking for it, I choose a Jiffy Lube store there. The drive home was ok. After getting to Florida we started to upgrade some interior, etc on the SUV, but drove it off and on. During the year 2024. The battery quit cold in October 2024. Being under “warranty” we finally found someone to contact at corporate and raised the battery issue and a strong wobbling in the (new? Installed) front brakes.
After about 100!+ phone calls and text messages and numerous promises that it will be looked at, I had to make three (3) Shop visits at local Jiffy Lubes only to be told in the end there is no issue with the brakes and the battery, which brought to them, was (logically) not installed and that’s why no warranty on nothing. We paid 3.800$+ for the repairs. This is a dishonest organization with obviously equally incompetent and dishonest staff. The excuse was: "While we are a nationwide brand, the franchisees are independent and don’t warrant other franchisees' work." Great!

I have been a satisfied Jiffy Lube customer for decades but recently had a major problem with the outlet on Delmar at University City. The manager, Herb told me he had to show an employee where the drain plug for oil was. After they put fresh oil in the engine, they checked the oil level and found that there was no oil. They had to put in a second batch of oil. The real problem came later when my transmission failed and was replaced with a remanufactured used transmission for almost $10,000. The dealer told me someone had removed the transmission oil plug, and when he/she replaced the plug, did not include the gasket.

I told them that Jiffy Lube just changed the fluid 2 days prior, and I was told, "No they did not." The dealer showed me on the meter what was in the vehicle. I had them change it, since they told me if it freezes it could cause my motor to crack. I spoke with Manager Ryan at the store and he apologized and said he would refund my money. I brought my car to the Jiffy Lube store 2440 for a routine oil change, expecting a quick and professional service. What I experienced instead was sheer negligence, poor communication, and a complete disregard for customer safety. The day after the service, my car’s dashboard displayed a “low engine oil pressure” warning, and I started hearing alarming noises. Concerned, I returned to the shop. They changed the oil and filter again and assured me my car was safe to drive home. However, their negligence became evident when my engine completely locked shortly after I left.
I have clear video evidence of the employees acknowledging their mistakes and stating things like, “I wouldn’t drive it,” and “I think we messed up,” and more. Despite this, they allowed me to leave in an unsafe vehicle, putting my life and others in danger. If I had driven on the freeway, the consequences could have been catastrophic. The aftermath was even worse. I spent over five hours in the freezing cold with my mother, waiting for a tow truck during the holiday season.
The lack of accountability and proper resolution from Jiffy Lube is infuriating. When I contacted the manager to address these issues, the interaction was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing and offering to make things right, they were defensive and unwilling to acknowledge the gravity of their negligence. This experience has caused me financial stress, emotional distress, and the loss of valuable time. I expected much better from a company of this size. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for your car maintenance. Jiffy Lube clearly lacks the competence, professionalism, and accountability needed to care for your vehicle.

This manager told me the same thing and that the car was leaking oil out the oil pressure sensor. And I should park the car and not drive it. I explained that I was out of town. I called Jiffy Lube and was told by the vice president out of Augusta that they are not fixing the car. He was empathetic. He just didn't care at all that I was stranded. I had Jiffy Lube change my transmission fluid at the Hendersonville, TN location. It’s a fairly simple procedure so I assumed things were fine. After several months I found that whoever did the procedure put in way too much transmission fluid and as a result, Mercon was leaking from several areas. I contacted the manager and explained what had happened. I made it clear I expected any damage to be fixed and asked him if there was an employee on the premises qualified to perform the repair. The manager confidently said he was capable of doing so, and he told me to bring the vehicle in. I quickly found out I had wasted my time driving up there since he had no intention of trying to rectifying the situation.
There were no customers at the location the entire time I was there, and two other employees were standing around doing nothing. The manager focused his efforts on trying to distract me with topics that had nothing to do with the problem we discussed on the phone. He tried to spend as much time as possible repeatedly explaining the benefits of synthetic motor oil over and over again. I had to keep redirecting him to the reason I was there. Eventually, I showed him pictures of where the transmission fluid had been leaking, and of the dipstick indicating the transmission had been drastically overfilled. Though he acknowledged that the transmission had been overfilled, he made a number of feeble attempts to claim that Jiffy Lube wasn’t responsible for the leaks.
First, he implied the instructions stamped on the dipstick can be ignored. Second, he insinuated that overfilling the transmission couldn’t cause leaks. Third, he tried to claim the thick red liquid leaking from the transmission wasn’t transmission fluid. Fourth, since I had days previously wiped off the leaking transmission fluid and made sure it was indeed still leaking, Jiffy Lube shouldn’t be responsible for the leaks somehow. Fifth, he claimed that getting an oil change somehow releases Jiffy Lube from any liability for the damage caused by overfilling my transmission. Sixth, He claimed that since we had been driving the car, Jiffy Lube isn’t responsible for any damage caused by overfilling the transmission.
The manager ended the conversation by saying “this over my pay grade”. I didn’t appreciate that statement for two reasons. He had told me he was qualified to fix the problem before he told me to bring my vehicle in. And secondly, all three of them had been doing nothing when I arrived and the place was going to be open for business for another six hours. I’m utterly shocked that Jiffy Lube allows individuals like this to represent their business.

Took vehicle into Jiffy Lube Cedar/Mowry on December 1, 2024 to have an oil change done. Drove off and the car made a loud noise when getting on to the freeway. Turns out the skid plate was missing two screws and the skid plate got destroyed. Called Jiffy Lube and they advised me DM would be calling me back, no one ever did. When I called yesterday 12/3 I was told to contact the DM at Jarvis, spoke with the rudest person Robert ** who immediately said, "the skid plate was already damaged look at your receipt you signed it and the rep explained it." At no time was the skid plate loose or missing 2 screws, only until they had to take it off to replace the filter. He said, "Yep your problem, can't help you."
I then called the Jiffy Lube store on Cedar back, a female by the name of Brenda told me that the DM had called her and told her that she had helped me and told me right... When I spoke with her I told her to pull the video, because she never helped me it was another male employee who did. She then seemed surprised and said, "Oh I do remember you and you're right I didn't help you," then became concerned that someone used her log in. I visited my local Jiffy Lube after church Sun Dec1, 2024. Been a long time since I had been to Jiffy Lube. My daughter was visiting from school and was over on her oil change so I brought her car in. The tech was polite enough and helpful. I drove in and he had me do the lights. I questioned the high price for the full synthetic oil but was told it was the convenience I was paying for. My daughter was leaving shortly so I said ok.
The minute I got out of my car I smelt the very strong odor of pot. I told the tech I hope my car doesn't smell when I leave. He tried to sell me a cabin filter, I said no. $49.00 for a &10 or 12.00 filter is a little much. The marker he used left a good smudge on the windshield that I cleaned at home. Disappointed about no vacuuming. I called after I left and the tech told me no more since COVID. Yet the cleaned all the interior windows. Not sure what to think but will only use again if I'm in a jam. Headquarters needs to check on the pot smell. P.S.- It was not a skunk. Mike 2008 Honda CRV customer.

*This happened at a franchised location in Utah. The parent company owns 7 Jiffy Lubes, and is called Utah Lubricants, LLC. I recently brought my car to Jiffy Lube for a routine oil change, expecting a straightforward, efficient, and convenient service. I was told it would take 30 minutes. However, after over an hour of waiting, a technician informed me that they were "having difficulty getting the plug back into the oil pan." Another hour passed before I was told that they were unable to replace the plug and would need to "upsize" the components. Ultimately, I was informed the oil pan was damaged beyond repair, and that it would need to be replaced. But, the scary part is they told me I could drive my car with their "fix" until the next oil change. I confirmed with multiple mechanics the car is not safe to drive.
To make matters worse, when I reached out to the company's owner to seek a resolution, he was completely unwilling to accept responsibility for the damage. The owner, with "over 40 years of experience in the industry", blamed it on the previous mechanic and said something to the effect of "this is what happens to the oil pan in old cars". This is not true, and my car is only 10 years old with low mileage for the age. Despite the fact that Jiffy Lube's technicians were clearly at fault, the owner refused to cover the cost of repairing the oil pan. They didn't even offer to refund me for the oil change. As a result, my car is now leaking oil, making it undriveable, and I am facing an estimated $3,000 bill to replace the oil pan.
I brought in a perfectly functional vehicle and left with a damaged one. Jiffy Lube's incompetence and lack of accountability have caused me significant inconvenience and financial hardship. Their refusal to take responsibility for their mistake is both disappointing and unprofessional. I strongly advise against using Jiffy Lube for any car maintenance services. Their subpar workmanship, combined with a complete lack of accountability from ownership, makes them an entirely unreliable and untrustworthy business. I will never return, even for my on-the-spot renewal each year, and I strongly urge others to seek out a more responsible, professional service provider.

I took my car to Premium Velocity Auto dba Jiffy Lube. The technician put more than 6 quarts of oil in the engine that is supposed to be 4.8 quarts. This causes the engine to splash around the excess oil which creates a lot of bubbles. These bubbles when caught in the oil valleys in the head creates a vapor lock and in turn starves the top half of your engine from oil. I immediately contacted Jiffy Lube and their District Manager came to see my vehicle and acted like he was going to take care of everything. I agree with Ray. I would giive them 0 stars if I could. Fifteen years ago, I took my brand new Highlander here for an oil change, and they broke my glove compartment while checking the cabin air filter. I had world war three with the manager, who refuse to do anything about it. As he is now in real estate, I decided, fifteen years later, to give them another chance. The first time, 6 months ago, turned out O.K. Yesterday I called them, told them exactly what kind of car I had, and they quoted me a price of $89.99. I pulled up to the shop, and the garage door on the right was closed. Another car pulled in right in front of me, and the worker told me it would be about 30 minutes.
As I sat in the waiting room with the other guy, we watched 4 or 5 workers sitting in the corner of the garage, talking and laughing. Nobody was working on his car, and I was waiting in line. When they finally finished my car, the girl charged me $109.99. To her credit, she applied a coupon, after my strong complaint, dropping the price to $95.49. I paid my bill, she handed me the windshield sticker, and I left. I got about 2 block up the road, and notice they had left the backing to the old windshield sticker, which was basically glued on, on the glass. I returned, and insisted they remove the residue. I then asked her, "is this why you HANDED me the new sticker?" I don't know who the manager is today, but I think it's time for another change!!!

In April of 2024 I purchased a 2021 Ford Explore. On Friday, May 3rd I took my car to Jiffy Lube in Matteson to get an oil change. On Wednesday, July 31st, my oil change light came on and my car started to lose power. I took my car back to Jiffy Lube in Matteson. There was a female Jiffy Lube employee that assisted me and asked me to pull my car in and pop the hood. After popping my hood, the female Jiffy Lube employee said that there is a problem and asked me to step out of the car and look under the hood. I looked under the hood and she stated that my oil cap was not on all the way and that oil leaked everywhere (all over the engine, starter, alternator, components, etc...)
I mentioned to the female Jiffy Lube employee that I just purchase this car, and that Jiffy Lube is the only people that have serviced this vehicle since I had it. She then mentioned that this is not common to happen and that I should have experienced an oil leak within 2 days of the oil change that I received back on May 3rd and that car should have been smoking or I should have noticed oil leaking.
I asked to speak to a manager, and she stated that she was the manager. I then asked for the number to corporate and she said that she cannot give me the number to corporate. I then said, "Can I get an oil change," and her response was that she could not give me an oil change. I said, "Why not," her response, "You have oil everywhere." She said she would have to take my information down, take pictures and submit a ticket to the corporation, and the corporation will contact the store, and then she would call me by next week to let me know what the outcome would be. On Thursday, August 1st I took my car to Scott's U-Save Tires & Auto Repair in Steger IL to have it checked. I explained to them what happened with Jiffy Lube. I received a vehicle diagnostic and an oil change. Please see the attached receipt and invoice.
On Friday, August 16th I took my car back to Scott's U-Save Tires & Auto Repair in Steger IL because my car was making a loud ticking sound while accelerating, I was losing power again and my maintenance light and engine came on. Please see the attached receipt and invoice. Scott's U-Save Tires & Auto Repair in Steger IL did another vehicle diagnostic (please see below outcome of the 2nd vehicle diagnostic).
Additional quarts of oil had to be added.
Need turbo charger, turbo is noisy and causing consumption.
After receiving this information from Scott's U-Save Tires & Auto Repair in Steger IL, I then called the Ford Dealership in Homewood IL and spoke with the service department and made an appointment for Tuesday, August 20th. On Monday, August 19th I tow my car to the Ford Dealership in Homewood IL to be serviced the next day. I received a call the next day from the dealership letting me know that they did a vehicle diagnostic, and the turbo charger needs to be replaced. The Ford Dealership did mention that the part is currently on backorder and as soon as it comes in, they will give me a call to bring the car back for service. Tomorrow, August 24th I will have to get my car towed back to my home until further notice and now I must rent a vehicle to get to and from work. Twice I spoke with corporate because I did not hear back from the female manager from Jiffy Lube.
I first spoke with the corporate on Friday, August 16th and explained what happened and they have not received any knowledge of this. They took all my information down and said that I should hear back from the Franchise Representative from the Jiffy Lube within 72 hours. If not, then call back and they will expedite the issue. I spoke with the corporate on Friday, August 23rd and informed them that I have not spoken with anyone regarding this matter and that it has been weeks, and I have yet to hear from anyone. Corporate said that they will try again to connect with Franchise Representative and hopefully someone will call me soon.
After being given the run around for so many weeks I decided to call the Jiffy Lube store myself. This morning, Friday, August 23rd I spoke with Jiffy Lube Manager Robert who has worked on multiple of my vehicles since 2016. Robert knew exactly who I was, Robert is also the same person that did my oil change on May 3rd. I explained to him what had happen and he apologized and asked a few questions, and I answered them. Robert then asked me to keep all receipts and to contact him once the Ford Dealership lets me know that the part has arrived.
Jiffy Lube again has serviced several of my vehicles for the last 6 years and I cannot believe that the oil cap was not put back on properly. This has been a huge inconvenience for me. Now I must rent a vehicle because my car is down. This is very unprofessional, and I will not bring any of my vehicles to be serviced there again. Somebody must be held accountable for this. I hope to have this issue resolved soon.

So apparently they replaced the light and didn't check if it was working at first. After I went back it was made to work for some reason. I wonder if they even installed the bulb to begin with. Whatever the case something fishy was happening and they weren't telling me the whole story. Never going back to this place again. Got the feeling that they were screwing me.

I took my car back to them and the man brings out a paper and says "I'm sorry that I didn't give you this the first day when you paid"..The paper basically said that if the air didn't work that I would have to pay more money to get more work done.. I WAS LIKE, "WHAT??,, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS?" HE SAID "I'm sorry". He said, "We will work on it some more". I waited over an hour for them to work on it. He said "it's fixed". I went home.
The next day I went to work early in the morning so I didn't need air conditioning..I didn't turn it on. By the time I got off work it was hot! I turned it on and 10 minutes later my car started spewing gray smoke from under the hood! I call the fire department and they came to 38th and Washington Blvd and pushed it out of the street. They told me to not drive it. I paid $183 to have it towed home. I called them and they gave me Chris ** phone number. I took it to another Jiffy Lube. The mechanic that tore my car up came to the second location and lied and said that he didn't do nothing wrong. I was told that they would get to the bottom of it. I rented a car and 3 days later my car is still sitting at the second Jiffy Lube UNTOUCHED! I stopped by to check on my car and the manager apologized to me for not working on my car. The manager told me that Chris ** said.."We're going to send it to another shop to investigate what is wrong". Waited over 20 minutes for rep to pull record and found report showed ‘fail’ - (which was due to recently replaced battery). He actually said he remembered the car and didn’t think it had failed and had no answer as to why he did not give me the report at the time, and my error for not recognizing it wasn’t provided. Called group that owns location to ask how this could happen and was casually told “they must have printed the receipt before they checked your car.” Went elsewhere and paid again for inspection. The manager, Maxwell **, was standing next to my vehicle in the garage in the garage with the front wheel lying on the floor of the shop next to it. He said he was just about to call me. He told me that I needed a brake job, and hauled out a colored plastic key ring of different brake widths. He launched into a description of brake options. I said I’m not interested. He argued that my car couldn’t pass inspection, and gave me a fail inspection report.
I have been getting vehicle inspections of one kind or another for 35 years. In my experience, no reputable mechanic starts a repair job before authorization from the customer and vehicle inspections do not require the removal of the front wheel. I drove down the street and had my car inspected by a Caliber Collision shop. Not surprisingly, the vehicle is just fine and passed inspection easily. This is not the first time that I have had suspicious service from this location, so I was not inclined to be trusting, but it's the first corrupt vehicle inspection I've had. I'm a loyalist. I travel A LOT across country and never once had an issue until now. (Other than once in Vegas. Didn't replace the oil cap and I drove around like that for a couple thousand before noticing. Damaged engine slightly.) I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado. Takes expensive but good oil. I'm now in Southern California. And for some reason I'm not really understanding why it says I have 35% oil life left but my truck has been running HARD the last couple weeks and I start it and smoke comes out. IT'S A NEW TRUCK! I change the oil regularly! I JUST changed the oil in Columbus OH maybe 3000 miles ago at this point. Should be good. So I assume because it's had pristine maintenance it's because I drive it a lot...
Well I go to change my oil. Nothing else. And all of a sudden my truck sound like the first day I bought it. ALL OF A SUDDEN!! So I realized if a simple oil change made such a huge difference that can only mean one thing. Columbus OH put crap oil or hell maybe didn't even change it. And I say didn't possibly change it because of one specific thing I remember immediately after. I always appreciate how my truck runs right after an oil change. I specifically remember thinking to myself "this feels exactly the same, no difference" but I also remember thinking "wear and tear from so much driving" and wrote it off as that.
I also remembered something else. They charged me almost $500 when it came to pay, for a bunch of stuff I didn't ask for and actually had them change it to just oil and a couple other things. Reducing to $280ish... Upsell and rip people off. Seems like some shady hick mechanic runs that one.... After the SOCAL place yesterday my truck runs amazing again. Never have been able to complain about anything but due to recent issues felt prompted to do so. I'll keep using them until another, if another, issue happens and if so move on to someone else. Until then I can only give a 3 star rating.

I always changed my own oil growing up. It was easy, messy but easy. I'm on the road. No place to change oil without making a mess. Jiffy lube. Expensive! $100 to drain oil, change filter, refill (oil itself not in this price) and check a few other items like air filter, bulbs, air cabin filter....this is where I felt wronged. Guy comes in with cabin filter, clearly dirty, leaves, pine needles, cloudy appearance, yeah dirty for sure. "Wanna replace that?" He asked. "How much?" I ask. "$52".... Yikes I think, no thanks, I will change that. "I'm already here" implies the attendant. Yes I get that, but it's OK, I have more time than that kind of cash for just a simple cabin air filter that I know I can run under the tap with a little soap and a house paint brush and have a newish filter to catch debris from getting into my vents. It's not a HEPA filter. Ok, they don't replace it, no problem. All good, on my way, long drive from LV to SF, glad to have fresh oil change. Write a good review.
Come to discover, the attendant didn't even bother to just tip the filter over a garbage can to relieve his practice of balancing everything on it. I, in no way, expected him to brush it out, shake it out, wash it out...but maybe just dump the leaves and needles that were balancing on top into to trash, help yourself in easier replacement of the filter, not spilling the top loose debris into the cars system.... Nope, all of its contents not just slipped back in. It was very poorly placed, in what seemed to me, to be an I don't care attitude. It was bent and misplaced.
Poorly executed. I am just stating in my own opinion that it would not put out the attendant to simply remove the top layer of debris, common courtesy. No further, not asking for special treatment or go beyond paid duty, just put the filter in proper and replace the cover ( it wasn't). Oil change all went well... or did it? Now I have a little voice, questioning. I can't not recommend changing your oil at a shop. It's becoming more unreasonable to change it yourself as the filter placement and under car clearance become increasingly difficult. Just get back to work, make more money, and get in line. OBEY!

Do NOT go to the Jiffy Lube on San Martin Dr. in Waterloo, Iowa. We have had multiple issues with this particular location. The last time they changed my daughter’s oil, her car leaked all over our garage floor. Got that issue fixed, but then next time she tried to get her oil changed, she went elsewhere and they could not get the cap off the filter because it had been tightened too much.
We went to a different Jiffy Lube and told them that we would like a free oil change due to the issues that we had experienced. They offered us 15% off and couldn’t get us in for over an hour. Took it to another Jiffy Lube and they couldn’t get it off, so we took it back to the original Jiffy Lube as they claimed they would be able to get it off. They could not. I follow a cajun food truck, 'The Bayou,' on Facebook, and have been wanting to try them for a while. When I saw they were having an event at this location, and sales on their services, I thought it was about time for an oil change anyways, and I could kill two birds with one stone! I was not prepared for the incredibly unprofessional experience that followed. I went in after work for an oil change, and after they had my vehicle for about 30 minutes a gentleman came out with a sheet of paper, showing their diagnosis of my vehicle. Before going over that he let me know that I was at 77000 Km and that the mechanic could not find out how to change it to miles and did not know if I wanted it changed. I thought it strange, seeing that I'd known that it was in Km and I did not want it changed, but wanting to be courteous, I simply waved my hand and said that's fine.
He proceeded to lay out the sheet of paper and go over all the issues they found with my vehicle. He was using very manipulative and pushy language, suggesting some of the issues were an "immediate safety concern" and speaking in the past tense of the "discounts" he'd given me. e.g. "I've taken off XY for this service already." Letting me know if I only wanted the immediate safety issue addressed I was only looking at $900, but if I wanted everything recommended done it would be north of 1200. The immediate safety concerns included 4 new tires and a new battery, telling me that the battery was running at 30% capacity. I remained polite and asked for a copy of their quote so I could compare their price to a warehouse store I work at. They reluctantly accepted my request and asked that I wait while they performed the oil change I was under the impression they were originally doing.
30 minutes later I got my keys back, paid for the oil change, and while they gave me a quote for the services they wanted to do, they did not offer a copy of the diagnosis sheet they were showing me, which felt like a red flag to me. When I started my car the first thing I noticed was they fully reset my U.I. and my car clock was wrong. I assume this was while they were attempting to change Km to Miles, which I didn't ask them to do. After arriving home I let my car sit for a few hours before grabbing a Multimeter to check the battery myself. When I popped the hood I saw they'd left my coolant overflow cap open. The cap is a snap-on attached with a zip tie-like thread, so it's possible they had put it on gently, but not with enough pressure to snap in place, and it popped open on the 5-mile drive home. And that level of incompetence is the most generous possible scenario.
The battery read at 12.9, and starting the car it choked at 10.5 and idled at 14.4. I'm no mechanic,(though I get the impression neither are the people at this auto shop,) but this seems to be a perfect reading for a battery. This was more than enough for me to stay clear of ever coming here again, but before publicly denouncing it I wanted to be a little more thorough, so I waited till the next day (today) when I could get the battery checked with a meter designed for car batteries. So I swung by Auto Zone and had them check my battery, and they said that it showed no signs of any issues.
-Summary- I went in for an oil change, and they
1- Reset my U.I. in an attempt to change Km traveled to Miles traveled without my asking, and left the clock wrong.2- Used manipulative language to try to push sales of products I did not need.
2.5- Including possibly lying flat-out about my battery's reading, otherwise it just miraculously fixed itself upon leaving the shop?
3- Failed to offer a copy of their diagnosis.
4- Left my coolant overflow cap open! I was fortunate to open my hood so soon after leaving or this could have become a larger issue.
I'm used to the pushy upsell tactics of Jiffy Lube. But somehow this place managed to take predatory tactics to the next level, all while showing a level of mechanical incompetence I wouldn't think could be presented during an oil change; and could have damaged my vehicle had I not opened the hood shortly after leaving. I would not trust my vehicle in their hands again for anything and strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Now, one week later, my car engine is knocking, the oil is dark and very thin (car has been driven only 22 miles). I'm at the location as I type this and the manager just said "well your radiator hose is lose".. Ok and? I'm here about oil. Then she says "this car calls for full synthetic and unfortunately you were given 5w20 oil." So I assume they're going to correct the oil. I expect a refund for the bulbs that didn't need to be changed. Seems, from my research, Jiffy Lube is pretty consistently crappy. Makes no sense to pay $100 for a "service" that's going to ruin your vehicle. They make sure to put on the invoice, that you don't get until after you pay, that they don't warranty.

This was my second time at Jiffy Lube with my lovely Acura RSX. I got my oil changed and filter changed trying to get ready for a car festival and they messed up the engine. I know this because the oil light went on when I was driving on the 71 Freeway. I was confused. Only 2 weeks passed since I did it and I don’t push my car. It’s a show car. And then the car just started shutting down and I was lucky enough to pull over in a dirt area and all the oil leaks within minutes and loud clacking noise happens when engine runs.

They said the oil was black and it was barely any oil in there. Didn't have problems before the oil change now her car jacked up. They need to shut this location down, clearly they not properly trained. Reached out to customer service and they really were not of any assistance. The other evening, I stopped at Port Townsend’s Jiffy Lube and asked for a price and availability for an oil and filter change on my MB motorhome. I was told the price and that the synthetic oil and the filter are always in stock. Two days later I came in with the motorhome and after checking the details of my vehicle I was asked “What oil do you want” and I responded, “that I needed synthetic oil”. I was told “We don’t have any synthetic oil” and he just walked away. I called after him and asked “When will you have it in” and the response was, “I have no idea” and he continued to walk away but he did turn and say “You can bring your own oil”.
Off I went to purchase 3 five-quart containers of the proper synthetic oil for my motorhome and headed back to get it changed. My engine take 13.2 quarts and I brought in 15 quarts. I explained that the engine would not take all but 1.8 of the quarts. I asked that they not over-fill the unit. After the oil change, I still had one of the containers with about 2 1/2 to 3 quarts in it. When the oil was changed, they checked with the dipstick and determined that it was overfilled and sucked out about a quart or so I was told. The job was finished and off I went a happy customer.
Later that day I checked the oil and found it was way over full. I also had the computer check for the engine oil capacity and it registered over full. I returned and the staff pulled over a gallon of oil out of my engine. I complained that the only way this could have happened was that the engine was not fully drained to start with. Suddenly no one would talk to me. They all walked away. I spoke to the person that did the service, mentioning that I only got a half an oil change as the engine was not fully drained. I was told “Well sometimes that happens” and he went back to work. The only thing I can do is have another oil change to get rid of the mix of old and new oil so I can maintain the engine warranty. A very unhappy customer.

Just had a horrible experience at Jiffy Lube Sault Ste Marie, I'll never go there again. I went to get an oil change and I got the semi synthetic for $89.99, which with tax comes out to $101.68 or close to. So when the guy comes over with the bill and asks cash or debit, I think nothing of it and say debit, he brings the machine over, so I tap my card and away we go...with not much thought. As I get further away I'm like, I should check that receipt, as I do, I see a charge for $127. I look over my receipt and there is a charge for a "special filter" of $15. So of course I call and inquire about it, and he says..."Oh, yes. That's because we had to use a special oil filter for your make of SUV." And I say, "What a Hyundai?" He states, "Yes, all Hyundai and Kia's we are using OEM filters and have to recoup the cost to us." So, I say, "Don't you think this is something you guys should be asking and/or telling the customer beforehand."
I informed him that I've never been charged for that before at any of the oil change places I've been to, and that I wanted my $15 and the taxes back. He says, "I'll have to talk to someone above me before I can do that." I'm like, "No, you will give my money back..." he goes and does whatever and comes back and says, "Ok sir we will refund you, but just be aware, if you come back there will be that charge." Guess who's never going back to Jiffy Lube...

I needed a oil chage today so I searched an oil change place that might be open today Saturday, I only had today to get it done. I was leaving town again early on Monday for work out of town. Jiffy Lube website as well as the phone message stated that no appointment needed and it is first come first serve. I went to the Spanish Fork Jiffy Lube and pulled in line right behind a F150 that had just pulled in to the only bay that was open. The manager came out directly and took my information and told me it would be a 45 minute wait and then 15 minutes for the service. I felt that was fair. Until after sitting in the waiting room for 1 hour and then to get up and look out to see where my truck was and they had moved it and placed two vehicles in front of my truck without an explanation. I consider myself a patient person, I decided to just walk out and leave.
I never leave feedback ever. But I was so mad when the workers inside the building treated me so badly as I was leaving I still can not believe it. Anyway I would not recommend going to this Jiffy Lube and will obviously never go back. I will wait until next weekend and take it to my regular mechanic. The technicians offered me to change my engine air filter as well as the A/C filter that I knew was full of my dog's hairs. They instructed me to use two coupons (promo codes: MY97B2 and XDSMZ2) to lower my costs (which were very high because they charge me $104.99 for 5.5 quarts of fully synthetic oil SAE5W-30 priced no higher than $25 in any store) and I did use them. One coupon was 10% off the whole service and the other one, $15 discount.
The entire bill was gross $266.43; 10% of that, is $26.64. If you add the $15 discount, the discounted amount must be $41.64 but they subtract only $30 and after that, added a $13.83 "State Tax" when they are registered as "Atlantic Coast Enterprises, LLC" and in Florida, LLCs don't pay State Tax. They charge me $49.99 for each filter when the filters cost between $20 and $40 anywhere. They thought that I was a woman easy to predate on and they just did it.

Bottomline: Do NOT jeopardize your car maintenance by getting service with Jiffy Lube! If reliability of service and risk of damage after service are not your top priority, at least DO NOT get the service done in store #01051 (2310 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608). Longer version: I had a three day trip to Orlando and Miami, followed by the International flight of my family. We had prepared for the trip.
On Sunday morning (June 20) I took my car (2018 Toyota Sienna) to Jiffy Lube for oil change. I was initially satisfied with how quick it was done. Then right before we left Gainesville, traveling less than 15 miles since the oil change, the engine oil light turned on. I took the car to the closest Jiffy Lube (Tower Road) which was closed. I parked the car there overnight to prevent engine problem.
Monday morning, the Jiffy Lube staff at that store checked the oil and confirmed it’s completely empty. He examined the filter and said the filter gasket has been tightened up too much and thus broken into two halves. He fixed the issue and refilled the oil. Right after the fix, I took my car to the previous Jiffy Lube store on Archer Road and explained to the manager what happened and said I will follow up after my trip. As a result of the oil change issue, I missed my hotel reservation and was at the risk of missing the international flight, let alone the potential risk of engine break down (several thousand dollars), risk of someone breaking through my car parked overnight at the store spot, and putting my family’s safety in jeopardy.
Once I returned from the trip, I went to the Jiffy Lube store at Archer Road and talked to the manager and assistant manager, more than ten times in person and over the phone. They delayed any response saying they needed to talk to their upper managers, and refused to accept full responsibility for their mistake, by at least refunding me what they had charged for the oil change. They tried their best to refuse by putting all decision making responsibility on higher management, and then not accepting it.
Last time I went there in person to discuss it with the manager. The manager told me to stay in the lobby while he and the other person were working on the cars. From 10:10 AM to 10:40 AM, they worked on 4-5 cars without respecting my time, and refused to talk, so I left. This whole back and forth took 25 days. I have had numerous oil changes done by Jiffy Lube in Hagerstown, Maryland, never a problem. About six or seven months ago I had this same Jiffy Lube replace the front rotors and brake pads on the front of my 2011 Chrysler 200. Approximately two month ago my car developed a hard shimmy when applying the brakes at highway speeds. The shimmy had gotten so bad that it became hard to hang onto the steering wheel when braking. I went back into the Hagerstown Jiffy Lube today for an oil change and to question the brake issue. All they could and would say is “unfortunately, brake rotors tend to heat up and warp.” I advised them that their assertion is especially true when they supply customer with inferior quality rotors that lack the proper thickness to handle even normal heat buildup. They never expressed any indication of a warranty on the parts, nor an apology for the problem.
Reality is I was a long time a mechanic and am capable of performing any level of auto repairs. I switched careers some years ago and now work as an Accountant. The older I get the busier my life becomes, so, reluctantly I take a chance and allow others to service my vehicles, something I really don’t like doing as I don’t trust others to do things the right way. I now have a factory pair of OEM Mopar Rotors on order for my Chrysler and will be installing them next weekend in my own fully equipped garage at my home. She said synthetic and then changed her mind and asked for a regular oil change. The attendant was very rude and told her he refused to do a regular oil change, Now I would think that a regular oil change is better than none at all, but he turned her away. Is Jiffy Lube now using bait and switch tactics? Do they refuse to do an oil change unless it is the more expensive synthetic? Sounds to me like the person who is refusing to do an oil change doesn't feel like working today. It is, after all the 1st Wed in January 2021. Great business practice Jiffy Lube! I will be sure to let my friends know how concerned your employees are about performing regular maintenance on a car.
What did we do before synthetic oil? If synthetic oil is so superior to regular oil why do you still advertise it? I am pretty sure that a lazy worker was more the fault than was a concerned employee. I was getting all of my cars serviced here, but I am now going to go to a place that will perform the service I want at the moment instead of being rude and letting me drive off without any service at all. Sharing my experience with Jiffy Lube 3090. I brought my 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan in for a simple oil change. The car wasn't drivable after the worker changed the engine oil. I could hear the gear sliding against each other, and the RED warning of "oil pressure low" was on the whole time. Therefore, I brought my car back again, and your worker tried to re-fill the oil again. However, that doesn't solve the problem at all. Then, your worker told me it's the engine problem and blah blah blah because the oil wasn't going to the engine which caused the RED warning. I explained to him that I could drive the car just fine before I even brought the car in, and the oil pressure warning has NEVER popped up before. The worker here insisted that had nothing to do with them and rushed me out.
The car wasn't drivable, so I had to bring it in to the dealer, Ontario Volkswagen, to determine the problem. After the diagnosis, the dealer was able to determine that the engine wasn't getting the oil because "oil filter housing was missing the internal shaft" which Jiffy Lube failed to put in back after the oil change. We called Jiffy Lube #3090 again, and they couldn't find the shaft. For your mistake, I needed to spend additional $157 for the diagnosis and another $187.51 to just purchase a new shaft which could've all avoided if you just put the shaft back at the first place.

There was not a drop of oil on the dipstick. Car was towed per their request to nearest automotive repair shop. There was no oil filter present on my car. The engine was destroyed for a total cost of $4,006 to repair. Jiffy refused to pay for the repair of my destroyed vehicle. They only offered $1,200-$1,500. Jiffy provided a rental car for 1 month for a total of $3,800, $300 more would have repaired my car or to go towards purchasing a new vehicle. On February 27th, 2020 I was forced to return the rental leaving me without a vehicle. To this date, Jiffy Lube has yet to rectify this situation. Complaint filed with BBB, Attorney General.

California Jiffy Lube #1138. I've been using your service for years with multiple vehicles. My last service with vehicle listed I didn't check oil for about 2500 miles into oil service to discover vehicle was over a quart and 3/4 low. I was shocked see since this engine had not used and oil between oil changes in the past with only 58000 on a new engine. This current oil change after receiving vehicle back I popped the hood and check oil level before leaving to discover oil level on dip stick with about 3/4 low. I brought this to a tech's attention immediately and the first word out of his mouth was this was within my vehicle standard. What is this? I replied that, "No. I paid for an oil service and expected to leave with oil level full on dipstick". Still with some bantering back and forth tech pumped 1/2 quart in Jiffy Lube fill container and poured in which still didn't fill oil level to top of dipstick.
Tech then went and put additional oil in full container to top off oil level. With this I question everything Jiffy Lube provides with oil servicing, Did I receive full synthetic and paid? Did I receive higher quality oil filter? If every customer serviced leaves with a low oil filling service I'm sure this can add up to substantial business bottom line savings over the course of time. This is for sure ripping off your customer base and can cause major damage and expenses to customers who know their vehicle oil consumption and had thought Jiffy Lube was an ethical business. Bottom line I will never set foot in this service center again... I'm not done with this conversation but am done with Jiffy Lube...

2/28/2020 Walnut Creek CA Jiffy Lube. Brought my vehicle for an oil change Sunday January 12th..I waited 1hr 40 minutes which caused an enormous backup as you can imagine. No explanation other than a slight problem with my oil filter size. Drove home. Next morning a puddle of oil in the driveway. 2 days later 2 puddles of oil in the driveway and it was tough to get my vehicle into drive. 3 days later now 3 puddles (I have photos) and my truck is now oddly not engaging immediately when put into gear...498 miles later I brought my vehicle back to jiffy lube as it runs but I just barely can get it into forward or reverse. The manager does not allow me to pull into a service bay and has a tech give me a little transmission fluid and sends me on my way EXCEPT I can hardly find a gear to get out of there. Once I do I immediately drive to a mechanic I have used before for help (something I should have done Jan 14th).
Conclusion NO TRANSMISSION FLUID TO BE FOUND (other than the small amount just dropped in at JL). This now equates to the need for a full replacement of my transmission. ALSO the mechanic found 2x's the oil which now equates to the need to remove and replace the engine oil pan gasket... This means my $125 oil change now cost in excess of $11,000..I WAS TOLD BY THE DISTRICT MANAGER, "TOUGH LUCK..YOU DROVE TOO FAR AND IT'S NOW ALL YOUR FAULT AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY." A perfectly running fantastic Ford f250 pickup ruined by a crew of Sunday workers who did not properly care for the task at hand and I am told it's my fault and they will not pay for what's needed to restore the health of my truck. Be warned Jiffy Lube Customers..I will be reporting back....very sad. Tim O.

I had to go back 3 times for brake repairs. ABS light remained on, even though they advised it would go out, after I drove around awhile. I was treated like I did not understand, and was anxious for no reason. Finally told they could not fix it, and was told to go to a non-Jiffy Lube shop who does ABS work, or to just drive around with the ABS light on.
The other shop found: 1) incorrect installation of parts, 2) wrong parts used, 3) ABS cable should have been replaced, but was not. The parts used actually damaged the car even further. The car was also out of alignment, which Jiffy Lube did not notice, and do not do that work in that location anyway. Work had to be all redone, despite Jiffy Lubes continuous assurance the work was done properly, and car was "safe." I ended up paying twice for the same work: once to Jiffy Lube, and then, again, to have it all redone. This also put me, as well as other drivers, at risk, with bad brakes which were "fixed", per Jiffy Lube. Won't use them again! Very disappointed!

When I was checking out they tried to charge me full price without taking in consideration my coupon. The whole time I was waiting, which was a long time because they were busy, the woman at the counter was complaining about something (the weather, the temperature at the counter and her coworkers (she even called one an idiot behind his back.) I did not fall for all the other lights out. The car was just inspected a few weeks ago and when Jiffy Lube was checking the lights they never turned the lights on. You only had the daytime running lights on that only turn the headlights on with no other lights. If you are going to try and upcharge service make sure you really need to do the work. Most of all the upcharge services they try and push on you can be done for free at any auto part store when you purchase the part, lights, windshield wipers, topping of coolant, and air filters. When I got there It was extremely early. I was the first person there so I could be in and out. When they opened I was greeted by one of the Jiffy employees who presumed to ask me what services I needed. I simply told him that all I needed was my oil changed and new windshield wipers. He was very persistent in trying to sell other services like an oil system cleaner.
I told him that I only have enough funds for an oil change and windshield wipers, I am a single mother I can’ afford anything else. Then he proceeded to tell me about his mom and how she comes there for service, how he understands and he wouldn’t scam me. Next thing I know without my knowledge they performed a full service allegedly that totally 1,418.18. The windshield wipers they installed was faulty, when it rains it leaves like a white streak on my windshield making it unbearable to see when it rains.
I explained to them that I couldn’t afford it. I am already financially devastated, Clovis (CSA) suggested that I get a credit card to pay the residual balance current. My sister worked for jiffy lube in the past. She stated that Jiffy lube don’t have any license mechanic on site. Against my better judgement I went back anyway. I called ahead of time to speak to the manager on duty and he let me know that the manager that I had spoken to prior had been fired 3 weeks 2 weeks ago. He went on to say that he would take care of me when I got there. There were several things that needed to be notated for them to do that they did not do. They were going to not wipe down my windshield at all with wording on there. I show that to the store manager. He then told them to clean it off. Explain to me that they were from Miami and then at Miami they didn't do that.
Upon looking at the receipt it says wash exterior windows completed even though it never been completed. The manager did give me a discount of $50.20 off of my bill. I had to go back to Jiffy Lube 3 times in one week because my light kept coming on, and my car was jolting when I would accelerate. I was told by a Jiffy Lube supervisor to go to Nissan to get whatever the issue was fixed as the supervisor admitted they messed up and had the same thing happen at another location with another Nissan.
After I got the work done, I went and gave Jiffy Lube my invoice, and now they are not paying for the full invoice. I had Nissan call Jiffy and explain what work needed to be done because Jiffy Lube said I got a service that was not needed. Nissan called and explained exactly why this was done. Jiffy Lube still refused to reconsider. Not only was I inconvenienced by the time I had to keep going back and forth to the service center, I was without a car for two days, had to pay an Uber to get back to work from Jiffy, and now I'm stuck with a bill - all because their mechanics messed up. Avoid at all cost!! Took our vehicle for an oil change. Even though our car had never been outside of CA before, they stated that our car had been to their service station over and over (we later found out a previous owner took it to a location in Los Angeles, CA) and wanted to upsell everything (which we expected but declined as our car was in perfect running condition before we took it to this location). We thought everything was fine after we left until our car started having several code issues pop up, almost immediately after leaving. We had to replace our O2 sensor as it was somehow damaged in the oil change (it had just been replaced in September 2019 before we drove from CA to NJ), and had constant issues with our car now stalling when it had been completely fine before the oil change.
We found out four days after the oil change that the employees never reconnected our hoses when they disconnected the air filter system in my car, which was causing all sorts of fuel injection errors. Rather than having this shady location touch my car again, we fixed it ourselves at our own cost. Do NOT trust Jiffy Lube to touch your car, this is not the first time a Jiffy Lube location has ruined a vehicle of mine but it sure is going to be the LAST. I will not ever return to another Jiffy Lube location and I highly recommend that nobody else does either. Go elsewhere. Especially if you are a woman. As the saying goes, these guys saw me coming. My husband was away, but I needed an oil change. I went to the dealership, but they were too busy to get me in. My husband suggested I go to Jiffy Lube. Since I live in Payson, I decided to go to the Payson Utah location, even though they only had 2 1/2 stars. I should have listened to my gut and made the drive north to a different one of waited for my dealership to get me in.
I pulled up, the first thing they said was my car used synthetic oil. After arguing with the guy for a bit, I finally agreed to a synthetic blend. That should have been my second red flag. I also agreed to a tire rotation as the dealer always did that with each service. After waiting a few minutes one of the techs came in the waiting room and told me I needed a new air filter. Ok, I believed them so I agreed. Well, $129.00 later I left and thought I was done. After talking with my husband, he informed me that not only do I not need a synthetic blend, but he had just changed the air filter recently. In other words, they up charged me for a synthetic blend oil and lied about the air filter. So what should have been a $39.00 oil change, ended up costing $90 more, because they knew they could take advantage of me and did so.
Now, maybe I should be "more informed" or should have waited for my husband to do it, but I should not have to worry about a national chain taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. Warning to those who don't know about cars. Take your oil change business elsewhere. My husband took the car back today, let them know of his displeasure too and to give them an opportunity to make it right. He was told the General Manager would be calling him today. We have not heard a word.

Jiffy Lube's customer service is the most Offensive, Disgusting, display of Apathy I have ever encountered. 7/6/19 – Jiffy Lube broke my oil pan on a routine oil change. I brought the car right back, reported the issue, they acknowledged it, apologized and ordered a replacement part. A week went by, they got the part, I took off of work for the repair, they took their time getting to the repair while I waited onsite, didn’t finish in time, failed to give me a rental car and they essentially left me stranded. I had to make alternative plans for someone else to pick up my 8 year old son, because Jiffy Lube failed to fulfill their promise or communicate this failure in time.
The next day I get the car back with the new pan and gasket. And again it is leaking, but this time from the seal where the pan meets the gasket. The Farmingdale Store Manager Lou then said that they will get a repair shop to fix it. The next 60 days (2 months) are me calling over and over because no one returned calls. Lou escalated the issue to Mike and Jack from the Shirly store, and they too fail to help or return phone calls when promised.
9/19 - They escalate to District Manager Ken **, who authorized the repair. It took 60 days to get this person on the phone! I sent Ken a few reminders about the date of the to make sure it goes smoothly. 9/14 – The repair shop uncovered deep gouges on the bottom of the motor where Jiffy Lube forcefully removed the pan and gasket damaging my car. The repair shop fixed the damage Jiffy Lube caused. When it came time to pay.... Ken calls me with his credit card to pay for the damage, and Ken’s card doesn’t work, so I end up STUCK with the bill. I request Ken to get me check OVERNIGHTED, for which Ken tells me that’s impossible and that I have to wait a week to be reimbursed. To recap, the District Manager of Jiffy Lube had ME pay a bill that he agreed to pay, and then advised that they are unable to overnight a check?
9/16 - 9/18 I reached out to Ken ** 4 times – he stopped returning my messages. 9/19 – Frustrated and disheartened, I message Patrick Southwick, President of Jiffy Lube International, on Linked IN. He doesn’t return my call or message. 9/19 – I receive a call from Chris **, Regional Vice President Jiffy Lube International who apologizes for the behavior of EVERYONE else that I spoke to and advised that doesn’t “represent how they do business”. He promises me a warranty letter and will look into reimbursing me for removing all of the oil damage their negligence caused to my personal property, driveway, street, work.
On this call, Chris also stated that Ken ** stopped returning my calls because “I was hostile with him”. I couldn’t believe what I had heard. I am a nice person. If anything I was too nice to him and everyone else. Ken was negligent and created a lie to cover his tracks, blaming me for his failings. I offered to send Chris every text message exchange with Ken, AND advised that the mechanic and the front desk were both present when this alleged “hostile” behavior transpired. The reality is… Ken ** lied, period.
9/20 – I receive an e-mail from D’Evelyn **, Corporate Customer Service, with the warranty for the repair for 12,000 miles, retro dated back to the beginning of July, which was 4,000 miles ago, meaning they are really only giving me a 8,000 mile warranty. I advise D-Evelyn of the error, and she includes Chris ** on the e-mail.
9/30 – It is now 10 days since I requested the updated warranty information. I have NOT heard back from Chris ** or D’Evelyn **, or Patrick Southwick. I can say this honestly since I have dealth with so many levels of their organization over the past few months… Jiffy Lube does NOT care about the customers. They do not care. Their business practices are anti-consumer. I hope this review helps you decide to spend your money with a company that will value you more than Jiffy Lube will.

The site manager called me to tell me that the tires had arrived and that I should set aside about 1-1.5 hours for their location to put these new tires on my car. I got there at a time that is usually not busy. I waited an hour and 40 minutes for them to even start working on my car -- and they only started looking at it when I told them it was inappropriate that I had waited so long. They inspected 6 or 7 cars that arrived after I arrived before they started working on my car. These other cars were there for emissions, which requires less time. I can understand if they let a few people ahead of me because changing tires requires more time than an emissions check; but it was obvious that like they would have kept letting everyone ahead of me regardless of how long I had waited.
It look another hour to finish putting on the tires. They then tried billing me almost $100 for work on another Chevy car that was being worked on that day, even though I had prepaid for the service. When I got to my car, I noticed that they had not replaced the caps on the tires. The manager needed to tell the employee to put on caps on the tires. There were so many things that were inappropriate about this experience. It was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. A few hours later, I get a call from the "supervisor" saying the mechanic changed the spark plugs/wires on my car and now the car won't run. He said "It is not drivable and keeps dying on them". (FYI, my car was totally drivable before - this was just maintenance). He asked the mechanic if the wires could be crossed and the mechanic said "No, I checked that".
Then, the supervisor said the mechanic said the problem was the catalytic converter but they do not do that there. Long story short, I had to have my car towed$$ to the dealership$$. The dealership$$ found that the spark plug wires WERE crossed and they repositioned them to their proper location. Now, the car runs OK. I am VERY disappointed in Jiffy Lube and will never return to any Jiffy Lube! I tried to get Jiffy Lube to give me a refund but they refused.

Late afternoon heat in Texas in July is not an environment that makes people happy; yet on a late Sunday afternoon, Matthew was polite, attentive and professional to all customers. This is the Jiffy Lube I go to for regular service and have been happy with them; but, I was especially impressed with Matthew and how he helped keep service to all customers moving in a cheerful and professional way.

I went to Jiffy Lube in Fort Collins on the corner of Drake and College yesterday, July 16, 2019 for an oil change. It was an awful experience. I pulled right in and there was no wait. The mechanic was friendly and helpful. My car was complete in about 10 minutes. However, instead of ringing me out, the cashier decided to take a 30 minute lunch break without letting anyone in the waiting room know (mine was one of two cars “finished” when she disappeared). By the time she returned, I had been waiting for 30 minutes in a room full of other customers, and my car had been parked in the “finished” spot (and not been touched) the entire time.
When the cashier finally returned, she made excuses about being short staffed and displayed a hostile attitude toward me because I asked what had taken so long. She talked under her breath to another employee right in front of me, then went around the corner to speak with another employee about her frustrations with me, and did not finish checking me out. Someone else checked me out and actually had the decency to apologize. I continued on to my errands and after getting back in my car less than two hours later, the low coolant light came on. I drove straight back to Jiffy Lube because I had just paid 5.99 extra to have my coolant topped off.
When I returned, they tried to tell me I had lost a gallon of fluid in less than two hours because of a small leak. Upon further inspection by a new mechanic, he found that none of my fluids had been topped off. I checked my receipt and this is when I noticed that supposedly my car had been vacuumed, yet there was still dirt and grass all over the floor of the driver's and passenger sides. I will never go back to this Jiffy Lube location. I was extremely disappointed and feel like they did not value me as a customer. Nor did they value the money I paid for services.
