Beware! My car has Goodyear/80K warranty tires installed a couple of years ago. Recently front left tire started to leak air. My wife had brought the car to Goodyear in Rochester, MI for air leak repair. The man (Billy) told her that tires were old, irreparable and he would need to replace all 4 tires. He came up with $901 estimation (I have a copy). We took car back and drove to Discount Tires. There the tire was repaired for free, however they had to change a pressure sensor because it was damaged. From now on, I will avoid Good Year tires because of such a service!

The manager and I were able to go over some things today and come to a resolution. I was wrong about some things and Bill, the store manager, was kind and patient with me in walking me through the work performed. I was compensated for the alignment program and they gained some trust from me, a new customer.

    Original Review: Aug. 10, 2021

What a mess. Yesterday I setup an online appointment for tires and oil change. Today, when I arrived for my appointment I decided to also get an alignment and have brakes inspected. I received a call later stating that front pads needed to be replaced. I was quoted costs and approved of the repair. I was also offered some "100k mile" fluid exchanges. Again I was quoted and again I verbally approved for the work to be performed. I received another phone call about an hour later from a mechanic at the service center stating that the rear diff fluid could not be changed as it did not have vacuum ports and that it would cost an additional $80 to repair as they would have to remove the ten bolts for the diff cover and replace the gasket. It was at this point that I declined the service.

My vehicle was ready approximately 8 hours after dropping it off. I arrived and spoke with the same person I had earlier. They stated that they did find a way to exchange the fluid in the rear diff. Ok, great. I paid my bill and headed home. New brake pads were great and the new tires improved driveability. I was happy. Of course I get home and I can't help myself. I just have to check the oil, looks good, definitely changed. I see brake fluid reservoir and uh oh, the fluid is well below the full step. It hasn't been touched despite having paid $110 for the service. Ok, probably a mistake. I then look at the power steering fluid reservoir, again, hasn't been touched. The fluid is the same as when I brought it in, new fluid is RED, not reddish brown. Ok, another $100 for nothing.

I slide under the rear end to look at the diff, it hasn't been touched and there is no way to access the fluid except the traditional 10 bolt cover. Another $200 charge, again for nothing. I also paid for a fuel injection system treatment which I have no way of knowing was performed, but based on all of the other services in this "fluid exchange package" not being performed and having been lied to directly to my face I think it's safe to assume it was not. Also, when I checked the invoice I wasn't charged for an alignment, but was charged for a 3 year alignment program ($155). That is not a service I asked for and I should have been made aware of that. To fellow consumers I would advise you to only use the service center's basic offerings (tires, oil and brakes) and avoid any additional services offered. Hopefully I can get this resolved with little to no headache, but regardless these are despicable practices.

So I made an appointment at 1 at 114 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615 Goodyear Auto Service for 4 new tires and when I showed up the gentleman said it wouldn’t be done till 4. Well 4 came around car wasn’t done so I sat, watched and the car wasn’t done till 4:40 which why would you make an appointment if you have to wait 3+ hours for tires???

I was happy though till I saw it costed 600 dollars after the insurance and labor on each tire but whatever. The thing that floors me is that right after I left I stopped for coffee and as I was walking out to the parking lot I noticed they literally forgot a lug nut but not only that closer inspection they completely mangled the stud to the point where I’ll have to get it replaced now.

I show up the next day and told them what happened and the gentleman tells me that he can’t fit me in that day or even the rest of the week...That’s the service you get for paying 600 dollars to these kinda shops I guess. I also tried to write a review on Google and come to find out they turned off the ability for people to write reviews, I wonder why. First time and last time I’ll ever go to a Goodyear. I’ve had better service at your local mom and pop auto tire shop.

We have an 07 PT cruiser and had a problem with the air. There was none. Took it to Goodyear Auto at Chapel Hill in Akron and had fan replaced. Was ok for a few days then car started overheating. Come to find out fan went bad. That quick call and was told it would be 3 weeks before I could bring it in and if it was that important I’d wait. Not a nice person. It was warranty work so called the state RD Goodyear and took it there and the next day was informed there was need for a complete overhaul of the system when all that was bad was the fan. So realizing age of vehicle I opted to change it all at a cost of 1300.00. Got it back 3 days later. Was ok for 2 days and then no air.

So called and took it back a 2nd time. More parts needed after I was told all was replaced. Kept it 2 days got it back and over the course for 2 days no air. Took it back again. No 3 time. Was told gaskets need replaced when I was told it was a complete repair. This time lasted 5 hours. Called, took it back. Called claimed need more parts. Have it back next day. Didn’t happen. Didn’t even call us to tell us they were keeping it. Get a call at 415 and was asked if I was coming to get my car and we told them we didn’t even get any kind of call period so on the way to get it now. Got my fingers crossed. Funny thing is I already got the bill and they had the car longer than us. I won’t go back there for this problem anymore and feel we need compensation for all the aggravation. Thanks for reading.

Goodyear review. Warranty of Goodyear is tricky, never spend extra money for it before you read the note below! I bought Goodyear tires in April 2018 with 65000 mileage warranty for $600 ( invoice attached). There was bunch of the offers $399 for 4 tires, with 30000 mileage warranty on the other places (stores). Person, named George, who sold it to me, told that, warranty will be valid if you come back for rotation every 5000 mileage. When I came back first time after 5000, he wanted me to come back another day, then, when I came back another day, according the schedule made by him, he forced me to wait long time (2-3 hours) like he is busy with other customers. I think it happened to me, because, it was free of charge service by warranty.

After, what happened to me, I hated to go there again and I went to another place for rotation. Just keep my tires in good condition. My tires got worst in 32000 mileage anyway. It is BOLD now. I called, to Goodyear corporate office 3 times, e-mailed them, went to service 2 times. Finally, after all, they offered me to pay half price: $300 for 4 tires, and told me that, I have to come for rotation each 5000 mileage, no matter what happens, if I want to get warranty. I told ok and asked them: if I will come for rotation every 5000 mile, will I get warranty? Answer: no! She said: "You will pay for mileage anyway."

As I understand: each mileage cost $ 0.009, which means if tires get worst, customers have to pay difference of mileage depending how long they last, so, it is kind of TRICKY. Customers have to pay anyway. And in total, customers get same mileage of tires, for much more high price and wasting time, nerves and get headaches. Result: If I bought tires for $399 with 30000 mileage warranty from any other places, I would save my nerves, time, money and I would not have to go back for rotation to have headache. Trust me, never go for more mileage or warranty with Goodyear, go for regular tires with 30000 mileage. Good luck to everyone.

We purchased 4 new tires from Goodyear in Greensburg PA. A week later one of the tires goes flat. We put air in it and it is fine. The tire went flat again, so we return to Good Year. They check the tires and said there was no leak and it was because they forgot the tires. So the seal the tires and the tire continued to go flat and we had to fill it every week, even if it just sat there (vehicle not used often). I took there today and they tell me I need to buy another tire because there is a leak. Same tire, same issue different diagnosis. I know without a doubt they did something wrong or installed a faulty tire. I should not have to replace a tire that never functioned properly. Do Not Purchase from Good Year!!!!

I purchased 4 brand new tires like 3 - 4 months ago. I kept having to put air in them at least once a week. Every time I went there I was brushed off about why my tires needed so much air. According to one of the technicians, it was because I needed an alignment. Got the alignment and problem continued. Come to find out, one of my tires had a nail in it. I went back to Goodyear and was given run around about the nail and never got it removed. Thank god there are other tire shops that are more than willing to help out and that is how I resolved my problem. The techs there are lazy and good for nothing. Never will buy tires there again. It's the Goodyear Tire and Service Shop in Spring Valley off of Hwy 94 on Sweetwater Springs Blvd across from the 711. You guys suck!!!!

Back in February 2019 - I had a complete rear brake overhaul done (calipers, rotors, pads and brake fluid change) along with an oil change. Total bill came out to $1,125 - parts were marked up over 100% OEM I could have bought myself - and were either remanufactured or inferior quality over OEM. I had also asked for an alignment as I had the 3-year alignment package during a prior repair (they said wheel bearing replacement require it - I doubt that's the case) - but they never provided the alignment paperwork showing that the work was done as any other auto shop would provide. So my guess is they never did the alignment. 150 miles later the oil light came on. They never changed the oil. Took it back and they finally did the oil change.

Now 28,000 miles later (of mostly highway driving) - I'm getting a grinding noise from the rear brakes. The rotors are scored - likely from contaminants in the brake pad material. But with a 24,000 mile brake job warranty - I'm out of luck. The original brakes and the last brake job I did myself I got nearly 60,000 miles out of them. I only went to Goodyear because it was in the middle of winter.

Finally, this summer I brought the car in for a new wheel hub bearing and state inspection. They said they didn't do the inspection because the 'check engine' light went on. They cleared the code and as a result - the car idled/ran rough for about a week until the car could 'relearn' its ignition timing after a number of warm-up cycles. I had to get the inspection done elsewhere which was done without any issues. I also asked them to check the alignment. Again no paperwork - they said that the tires are worn evenly so there wasn't no need. So again - they didn't bother putting it up on the alignment rack.

I have to say - never again will I use Goodyear. I should have known better and done it myself. Either the employees are completely incompetent, purposely not doing work customers are paying for and/or the shop management is overlooking these issues. The cost of parts is almost double what you would pay if you bought them yourself from a parts store such as NAPA.

I ordered four tires on Goodyear website for Maserati (Model - Levante) and selected Goodyear auto service center (41 S Dean St, Englewood, NJ 07631) for installation. I dropped the car on Thursday, 3rd October for the tire change. When I went to pick up, all the four rims were significant damaged. I also sent the pictures of the damaged rims to the supervisor for the record and he said that he will look into how the damage happened, and asked me to bring the car next day again. Next day, the supervisor told me that the damage did happen due to negligence of the mechanic when the supervisor was away on a lunch break. He said he will get it fixed at their expense but I am having hard time working the service center to get the rims fixed due to lack of communication from the supervisor/manager.

There is lack of sensitivity to the customer's damage, poor communication, and lack of communication skills when talking to customer. The way they come across is bullying the customer when the customer to working in most cooperative way to get the damage (due to mechanic's negligence) remediated. I went to Goodyear service center and not to any other local shop because of the Goodyear's brand name but I am really disappointed for the lack of professionalism in doing the job right, and harassing the customer for the repair due to their mistake.

Needed an alignment due to uneven tire wear so I had them put on two new front tires and an alignment, $300 was fair. The issue was a week later when I go to take the tire off to do my breaks 3 out of 5 lug bolts snapped off. I look inside where the bolts are and the nuts where literally so far inside the holes that it's dented inwards. I called them to explain this and they said they could get me in by the next day charging me 80 per broken bolt. They obviously over tightened them but deny responsibility. I showed some pictures of the threading to a mechanic at the dealership I normally go to and he quickly stated that they were obviously severely over torqued which is a common reason for the studs to break off while removing the wheel.

I have done this same coupon amount at many auto services over the years, and after the added tax, it comes to a little over $27.00. I have my past receipts. Isaac stood there at checkout and upped the price to $35.00 telling me this was the price out the door, as if I am so stupid I do not know he is ripping me off. One of the worst things was the way he looked at me. Such hatred. I was late for a medical appointment and just paid and left. He told me to tell all my friends to come there. I purchased 4 brand new tires from my dealership 6 months ago. Assurance tires. That cost me 702.49. The tread warranty is for 65,000 miles. I know that I would probably never get that many miles on my tires, but I only had 6,411 on my tires and was driving along rt 32 and had to pull over. I had a flat tire on the passenger side rear tire. I changed the tire and put the donut tire I had in my trunk and went home. I called my dealership the next day and I brought the tire in to be inspected and after only 6,411 miles on my tires the tread was down to 6 from 9 in 6 months and the tire had a tear in the seam of the tire that was not fixable and they said they do not handle tire warranties and told me to call Good Year and that my tires tread should not have been worn down so much with only 6,411 miles on it. That I also needed to call them and explain to them about the wear on your tread also when I called.

So I called that Friday and spoke to a woman and she was very nice and told me that I should wait till Monday to bring the car in because they were closing by 1 that Friday.. So I bring the car to the Good Year store on Wolf Rd in Albany, it took me over an hour to get there on a donut tire and it was very hot and humid out and I understand that I didnt have an appointment and would have to wait but I was checked in at 11;00 am and not checked out till 6:08pm. The gentlemen that called me about my tire was completely rude. He said that the reason my tires were worn so much is because of my overinflation of the tires that happens to the middle of tread but my tires were not overinflated and the tread was the same from one side to the other. The middle of the tire has the same tread wear on the whole tire. 6 no different.

The only thing that could have been the reason for having 35 lbs of air in the tire when he checked could have been from the heat and the long ride. It's called expansion, but the tire I brought in to be checked did not have a hole or puncture mark. It was a slice that you could barely see in the seam of the tire. I don't mess with the tires on my car. My dealer checks them and rotates them. When I go in for my oil changes and the man was really rude and said then you need to talk to them about it, it's not their problem and there is nothing he can do for me than to put a new tire on and the charge was over $199. I then spoke to the warranty dept and she fixed the issue with the price of the tire, but my car is an all wheel drive vehicle and cannot have just one tire replacement. This man was very rude. Blaming me and then my dealership and that is not the case. It was a bad tire warranty.

Got the price down and I went into the store to pick up my car that they said give them an hour which was at 2;25 but my car still wasn't done at 6:00. I have called corporate about these issues and they were supposed to call me back this morning and haven't yet so I called her and left a message. She called me back but said she couldn't talk right now. She would call me back. I mean she had me on the phone already. Why couldn't she just talk to me them. I will never buy from Good Year ever again. I don't like being treated like I am an idiot and if something happens to my car because of only 2 tires that I paid for again you will be hearing from my lawyer.... D. **

When I went to pick up my car, the paper said that my car was now hard to accelerate and didn't move in reverse? It worked fine for me to go there. When I asked him about it they said they believed it was a transmission issue but couldn't even find the transmission dipstick?? I noticed that the car was spewing coolant out of the radiator hose when I moved it, so I put it back in park and got a worker, he said he would grab the guy who worked on my car but he never came out to fix the issue. Turns out it was leaking both coolant and transmission fluid. The guy put more fluid in the car, but refused to assist with tightening the bolt that hold in the transmission. Later the shop closed and the workers chuckled at the situation that they more than likely caused and refused to help with.

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, I brought my vehicle into a Goodyear Service Center in Gulfport, MS because there was a miss in the engine. The service tech inspected the vehicle and advised thru the Service Manager that all I need was plugs and the coil packs were all good. I told the Store Manager that I changed the spark plug and the coil pack on the number 7 cylinder of the vehicle, however I was told the miss was moving from cylinder 2 to 4. I agreed to the repairs and 2 and 1/2 hours later I returned to the facility and my car was in the same condition.

I was told by the Store Manager that the problem may be internal and they didn't know that before they repaired my vehicle. He also advised that on Cylinder 7 there was 75 pounds of compression and it should have been 150 pounds. I asked should I have my vehicle towed back home, however I was told no, I should make it home which was 70+ miles away. I reluctantly paid the fee of $379.97 and left the facility. On the way home, the oil pressure started to drop and I had to pull over for assistant. I feel if you don't have a clue what's wrong with a vehicle, don't guess and then charge the Consumer and put them, their family and vehicle in harm's way. The people were nice there, however the service was horrific.

Today is 4/23/2019 and I just picked my vehicle up from one of your locations and there has been damage to the lower front end bumper. Store Location: 9631 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, Va 22407 Manager **. I went into today for a leaking tire and suspension diagnosis and I specifically told the salesman when checking in to notate on my paperwork that the car is NOT to be pulled into a parking spot when they are done, that it can only be backed in. I explained to the salesman that the car is lowered and will hit the curb if someone isn't careful.

Upon picking my car up I saw that the car was pulled into the parking spot and when I went to look at the car it had be pulled up over the curb and the carbon fiber is scrapped on the front and bottom. I immediately went inside and asked the Manager ** to come outside and see where it was scratched. I asked him why was the car pulled into the parking spot when I specifically stated to only back the car in. His response was only "sorry about that". He offered to do nothing about it and walked back into the building. I told him I would be calling the corporate office since he was not concerned about the damages.

I will file a complaint with my insurance company for the damages if we can not come to a repair solution immediately. I'm more upset at the fact that my customer request was not followed and more upset that the technician driving the car knew he ran on the curb (because he would have heard and felt it scrap) and then didn't bother to tell the manager that he made a mistake. This is poor customer service and responsibility on the technician and manager of one of your stores.

Then he said, "No it's not that. It's the fuel pump and it would be 560." So I said, "Ok fix it" then went back a to pick it up. When it was in the manager said it running so good. I said, "Great." I got into driveway. It could it was awful. How could they say that when they drove it around to me so again it was back in shop doing what it was doing in the first place. He said now it was the spark plugs. Do they did that and once again picked up. He said I would smell gas cause they got some on when change fuel pump. Ok day after it didn't start right so I took back. He said the fuel pump they put in was bad so got another back in shop.

Pick up days later again then the worst happened. I was out of gas all of a sudden when I had half tank the day before. Went to Fas Mart to get gas. It started coming out of side of car under car the pouring out!!! Omg. Called them. They said for me to call tow truck and get it back there for me to call. The gas smell was awful. When tow truck came it was running out of car. Still it filled his truck up with gas to when carrying it. They said another fuel pump was need. It was the wrong one they put on. Awful. Back again in shop. My car was awful smell. I had to get another car. I ask for part of my money back. Nope nothing. Beware of taking your car there.

This place needs to be reported for fraud and abuse. After over $4 thousand in work that I believe was unneeded my car is now stalling when I start to drive and the engine and tire balance lights come on and off. I simply went in for a routine maintenance. I had been going to the same mechanic for over 20 years. I had followed all maintenance schedules on this car and done oil changes. I was told by a mechanic this particular mileage level would need the timing belt done and likely cost total with labor $1k for my type of car. This was told to me by a well respected local mechanic. He was warning me that it would be UP TO that price. I had to find a new mechanic and ended up going with Good Year in Capitola for the first time.

My car is a 2009 PT Cruiser and Kelly Blue Book price for my car in GOOD condition which it WAS when I brought it in and now it may not be considered even good being it is stalling is less than $5k. Meaning, if a car insurance were to say I needed over $4 thousand in work on my car? They would say my car was considered totaled and would say it was not worth working on it.

I have had 4 cars in my lifetime and never at one time have I been told I need over $1000 in work done. They also of course told me I need two new tires. What I found odd and interesting (in a bad way) is a place that specializes in tires left two of my tires without caps on the air valves. Of all places! So bad it is funny. Kinda!

They told me that I needed more work done than my car is worth and now won't even honor fixing the mess they made. The most expensive thing they worked on (see pics attached) is camshaft belt and the engine code read says that the problem is surprise surprise "Camshaft position sensor. Bank-1" So, the very thing I spent the most on has a problem? The manager Joe says to me I should have asked them to fix the sensor too. I told him I cannot ask them to fix something I had no idea even existed. I did not know that part existed till I was made aware of its very existence when the scanner told me it existed after the engine light came on and it was read with a scanner.

That is ludicrous logic. I am supposed to foretell problems and have knowledge of parts I have never heard of before. And He says to me that "is what they get paid big bucks for" and claims he has no idea what this code means or how much it would cost or how long it would take to fix etc. He says they would not pay for nor guarantee the work and that they did not cause the problem in any way. Even though they were just working in that area of my car.

They just took as much money from me as my car is worth (or more) and expect me to pay more? I do not even trust them. To be honest even if they said they would check it and do any following work for free. At this point I'd not trust them. This is very shady. I only allowed this work to be done because I am at a very low point in my life with a son who has almost died and they knew this info and took advantage of a person not thinking clearly. Not ok.

BTW Manager Joe says "I have people check the tire balance 25 times a day." That is his rationale to why my tire balance light keeps coming on since they had my car. I paid $50.25 for a new tire sensor on one tire. Maybe it was not put in correctly or I did not get one at all? I had to add the main reason I picked this place as my new mechanic shop is that their website said they have a shuttle to pick you up and then when I went to take my car in they told me they do not have one! The check-in process was horrible too. A very old man was there and I do not think he knows how to type. It was excruciating waiting for him to get the most basic info into the computer. Don't bother trying to give him any important info or anything other than your name and car. But no they do not have a shuttle. I should have walked out then. That was a sign.

I also have smelly and noticeable exhaust coming out since getting the work done. Air is not coming out of vents on my driver side at my feet anymore. I read this could be a vacuum problem which coincidentally can cause stalling. Which could be a simple loose wire which they could have left loose but their manager said they did nothing wrong and I have to pay to have them do any work to investigate.

Though I was not asked if I wanted it. Bringing my bill to $1008 though my estimate was $744. They kept trying to sell me tire insurance and a bunch of other service work that would have prevented my car from passing inspection. However my car was inspected two months ago. Probably stick with Discount Tire from now on.

I have a BMW 2017 with a 28k miles. The car is equipped with Dunlop/Goodyear tires (Sports package). For the last several months I noticed my car was so noisy while driving. On 3/5/19 I took the vehicle to BMW (for routine checkup) and I brought up the tires issues to the technician at BMW. The technician said "This is a common problem with these tires". He recommended checking my wheels' alignment which turned to be perfectly fine. I contacted Goodyear customer service who initially insisted on taking vehicle to BMW (not to their Goodyear dealer). Which I already did, and BMW advised to contact Goodyear to check tires and replace them under warranty. Then Goodyear opened a claim for me (**) and advised me to take it to a Goodyear authorized dealer.

On 3/15/19 I took my car to Just Tires at 11040 Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA (An authorized Goodyear dealer). After 40 minutes of waiting, a technician came with a report that Goodyear will only cover 50% of warranty and they will give me 50% off new 4 tires because alignment check showed "severe misalignment" of my vehicle. I told the technician, "Are you serious? The alignment was checked last week (3/5/19) At BMW Sterling, VA and alignment was perfectly normal." He did not know what to say, he said, "This is what we got on our scale!" I then drove back to BMW Sterling (within 1 hour) and spoke with service manager who brought my vehicle on the alignment scale and my alignment was checked again was perfectly NORMAL! So, Goodyear appears to provide scam alignment reports as an exit strategy from their warranty obligations.

I emailed Goodyear customer service with all above facts and copy of all three alignments reports (two from BMW and one from Just Tires) which they completely ignored and did absolutely nothing to solve the problem. Their response to my complaints was simply (Take your vehicle to an authorized Goodyear dealer). I responded back to their email: "Did you really read my email?" And they replied back: "Take your vehicle to an authorized Goodyear dealer." I felt I was talking to a robot. Unfortunately, Goodyear turned to be a big scam (No durability or performance and what is even worse than that is their dishonesty and poor customer service.). N.B. these types of tires have 60k miles warranty on their website.

He said that they would look at it. After twenty minutes he came back and informed me that it would cost me $158.00 and they would use the new belt that I had brought with me. When I told him that that was too much, he presented me with a bill for $43.00 I asked him what I was being charged for and he stated that he had trouble finding people to work for free. So I asked if Goodyear no longer provided free estimates? And he said if I can find someone who will work for nothing. This seemed a little extreme being familiar with what I needed and the cost they were expecting. The Company advised that they were turning it over to their District Manager for review.

If I can leave a zero, I would. I unfortunately left my car with a Goodyear location for a simple oil change and brake job. Little did I know it would cost me much more than I was quoted. I got my car back the next day. Less than 8 hours later, the issue I took it in for returned. I called them and they told me that it was not their fault and that I signed a paper authorizing payment, I also signed a paper stating that I was basically a mechanic and was leaving with accepting all work was done properly. (At least according to them). Now, I am not a mechanic. I took it to a mechanic that my community trusted and he showed me the parts that were supposed to be replaced were not. On top of that, they did not even put oil back in my car. The day I was schedule for an oil change is the day everything went bonkers.

Since the "techs" did not put oil back in my car, my engine broke. Verified with a mechanic that I had zero leaks, yet zero oil. This caused me to be without my car for FIVE months while waiting for my dealership to get a new one in. My only condolence was that my car was still under warranty. Now, since I am disputing these charges, Goodyear and Citi are both refusing to take responsibility and now Citi is wrecking my credit because they lied to me regarding their dispute process. I will urge everyone reading this, do not use Goodyear anymore. They are not qualified and expect ALL customers to already be licensed mechanics. Well, if we were mechanics, why would we need to take our vehicles to someone else? As soon as I can find a lawyer that will take my case, I will go after both just for principle.

I had a terrible experience trying to get my 2003 Toyota Highlander fixed at the South Loop Chicago Goodyear. My car needed some immediate tire repair (bolt in tire) but had also been making a rattling noise coming from the rear suspension when traveling at higher speeds and going over bumps. I asked the manager to take a look and was told they would get an estimate to me by the end of the day (Sunday). Took them until Monday afternoon to give me a quote for $2200, but they said they could work the price down to $1900. Even though the price wasn’t great, I agreed for to them doing the job. They said they would have it done by Tuesday.

After many phone calls and excuses, they ‘finished’ the job by 5 pm on Wednesday. I was told over the phone that the job was delayed due to receiving two left struts, but was then told a different excuse in person for receiving struts for 2 wheel drive instead of AWD. So the main complaint during these initial interactions is that they took 4 full days to replace sway bar links and struts (which were quick strut assemblies requiring very little labor). Rather than giving me an accurate estimate of time, they continued to lie about how long the job would take.

After I took the car off the lot and drove on the highway, the same exact rattling noise was there. I called Goodyear immediately, and decided to take the car back the following week. After a couple of days they diagnosed the problem to be related to the control arms, and it would cost $1200 but could get the price down to $900 after I refused to pay any more money. Considering that they charged me over $800 in labor for the original job (over $500 for removing old struts and replacing with quick strut assemblies), I argued with them that they should cover all costs to fix the original rattling. They said absolutely not, so I decided to get a second and third opinion about what was causing the rattling.

I had two independent auto shops (Velasquez and Sons Mufflers in Hanover Park and Firestone in South Loop Chicago). They both told me the problem was with the newly installed rear struts being defective. When I asked them to assess the control arms, they both told me they were fine and that wasn’t the source of the rattling. Knowing that the struts are under warranty with Goodyear, I took the car back to them and showed them the inspection notes from Firestone. The manager said the other auto shops were lying. After much arguing with management, money spent, time wasted, and Goodyear's inability to diagnose and fix the initial rattling noise, I lost all trust in Goodyear to do any more work on my car. I am in the process of finding another Goodyear location that will honor my warranty to fix my rear struts.

Goodyear Service Center on US-1 in Homestead, FL scratched all four of my alloy rims during a tire installation, balancing, and alignment on 11/23/18. Scratches are in the same areas on all four rims in a rotational pattern and occur a half inch to an inch away from where the rim meets the tire. The shop manager denied responsibility for their negligence and damage, and referred me to Goodyear’s customer service department which then referred me to their property damage department.

A Goodyear corporate goon then sent one of their insurance agents out to file a report and swiftly denied the claim. From what I can tell in researching online complaints, this seems to be Goodyear’s modus operandi. They deny claims and then pat themselves on the back for saving money and screwing over their customers. I did my homework and found a guy online with rim scratches exactly like mine which happened to him during a tire install in the northeast. It ended up being the fault of the shop in that a Teflon pad in the tire installing machine failed to work properly. I wish I would have done my homework and not spent my money at Goodyear Service Centers. They are unethical and unprofessional. Worse, they are amateur mechanics that can’t even install tires properly - which is supposedly Goodyear’s area of expertise. Be warned: do not let them touch your vehicle!

On April 13, 2018, I paid to have my car serviced by Goodyear after it suddenly overheated/leaking coolant. At that time Goodyear did a diagnostic and replaced the water pump which they said was leaking (since they said it wasn’t covered by Ford Warranty) and performed a coolant flush as well as installed a new thermometer. Car mileage approx 52000 miles.

5 months later (and less than 4000 miles), on Sept. 24, 2018, I paid Goodyear for a diagnostic charge after my car overheated and my check engine light came on. During diagnostic, it was discovered my coolant level was low again and Goodyear's team claimed it was most likely a sensor issue since they had already replaced the coolant pump and thermostat at last service, I declined servicing for the sensor because I didn’t agree that was the root cause. The team topped off the coolant (never addressed as it was low again) as well as performed a standard Oil change on my 2014 Ford Escape. Car mileage approx 56000.

24 days later and less than 600 miles (approx. mileage 56600) on October 18, 2018, my car displayed a low oil pressure warning. When I checked my vehicle, all the oil had leaked out (later I saw an oil spot in my driveway). Additionally my coolant had dropped below the minimum level again. I had my vehicle towed to a Ford dealership (since Goodyear clearly didn't do something right) where they identified the following issues: The oil filter was leaking and therefore, depleted all oil from my car. My coolant level was below the minimum due to my water pump leaking. The coolant in the reservoir was the wrong type for my car and had to be flushed. When I talked with my local Goodyear who performed the service, they stated they could cover the cost of repairs at FORD, but wouldn't refund any of the previous repairs, most which needed to be corrected or redone.

During visit service manager comes to ask if had replaced lower control arms. I haven’t. I have owned truck for 10 years and I do all my own service cause I was an ASE certified Master Technician. He said my cv boot was bad (leaking grease). I said I knew it was not realizing that he was talking about the left front not the right front that I already knew about and had already planned on fixing myself. So they finished alignment and I went on my way. Alignment was better but it did take two times that should of been right the first time. Made a couple of stops on my way home and noticed grease all over left fender well.

Got home removed left front tire cleaned off grease and got to looking at cv boot closely and noticed it was melted (probably from heat that was put on tie rod end to help it turn easier). So I called service center that had done work and told them what I found. Was told they would have to call me back cause the tech that did first alignment was off that day. They called back a few hours later and said that tech did not use heat on tie rod. I said he had too. I don’t have a torch set at my house and I’m the only person that works on my truck. They said they would take care of it. So when I was putting tire back on I noticed that tech that had done second alignment did not properly tighten down the caster alignment plate I had installed to help them with alignment. I returned for a third appointment to take care of axle and caster alignment nut.

Said I needed to go out of there at a certain time cause I had to be at my daughters school. They come to me and said they are having a problem with axle and something was not right with it and they would have to take me home. They then called a couple hours later saying truck was ready to. I returned to pick up my truck and was told they offer two axles for this truck the first one they got was too long and they had taken care of caster nut. So now my left axle does not have heavy duty cv boots like it had before. Cause they put in a remanufactured axle that didn’t have them.

Then I went to leave and noticed grease all over door panel and chrome cap for shifter was broke. That was not broke when I dropped off (was replaced several months ago). On the drive home I noticed steering wheel is slightly off center again. Talked to service manager again and he said tech said something about chrome shifter cap being broke like it was that way when I dropped off and was not taking care of it. So I left it as they just lost my business from bad service and lost all future tire purchases from me. They should get no stars but had to click one.

I went to Goodyear to have an oil change done. In the process I found that I desperately needed new tires on the front of my truck. I also purchased a 3 year alignment package. Truthfully I feel like I was pressured into it, but I realize that is my fault - I am not good in high pressure sales situations like that. Anyways, they put the new tires on and told me that they could not do an alignment because of my left ball bearings, tie rod, and ball joint. I told them I would come back later to have that done, like the next week. When I went to check out and pay for my tires, he still charged me for the three year alignment. I asked why I was paying for that now. He said that it was easier to go ahead and do it now. Again, not good in situations like that, so I went along with it.

I went home and thought it through, talked it over with my partner and decided that I really wasn't comfortable because I felt like I had been pressured. I went on the website and chatted and they told me I needed to contact the store directly to get a refund for the alignment package, as I hadn't use a SINGLE alignment - because they couldn't do the alignment. So, I called to the store and spoke with a gentlemen who repeatedly told me that there was no option for refund, that it could only be transferred. The thing is, I don't want the transfer - I haven't used a single alignment and there is no fine print that says you can be refunded. It is unfair not to offer that. I felt so pressured and so uncomfortable at Goodyear that I won't be going back - therefore transferring it won't help me any. It is completely unfair to not have allowed a refund on this product, when that is not explicitly stated - considering that I hadn't used it.

I have over 2 months that I go every week to the store to fix my problems. I brought the car for changing wheel bearing and two front tires (cost=$1000+). After 1 or 2 weeks I go there to check the brakes because of terrible noise. They told me that if I change all rotors and pads, the brakes will be good. I did ($600+). They finished and the noise is still on brakes. I go back to the manager and they told me that he can't do anything about this noise, this noise is in all cars. After a week I went again for oil change and brake check. Another mechanic told me that the left wheel bearing is making a noise, they told me, "That is under warranty and we will fix it for free." I scheduled an appointment for the day after because at that day they didn't have time.

I got a call in the morning from this guy and he told me that they don't have that part in stock so they need to order and it will come on Thursday (the day that I had the appointment was Sunday), I didn't go that week because I was in vacation and I went one week later. When I brought the car for the first time to replace the bearings, they told me that will take 6 hours to replace both of them (3 hours each). When I go again only for the left bearing, they finished for no more than 1 hour and half. After I got the car the noise was still there. I brought again and when I did a test drive with manager, he said: "I can't hear anything". I told him that is a noise. Finally he told me to schedule an appointment and I did. I brought the car again and when they rotate the tires, they can hear the noise (the tires that they were on the back, were from Firestone and they are in the good shape).

They told me that the noise comes from the Firestone tires. I told him to change the Goodyear tires because they are bad and he agreed that they were bad. I told him to scheduled an appointment on Saturday, but he said that "I can replace only from Mon-Fri because the warranty company is closed on weekends". Ok I left the job early yesterday and I went to replace the tires. After they finished I paid $60 for replacement because I had used 15000 miles from 75000. I go out the store quickly because I had an emergency and when I go home, I saw that they didn't replace the tires. They just cleaned the old tires. I will recommend everybody to not go to Goodyear Service in San Jose Blvd Jacksonville FL.

Brought in my car for an oil change and they tried to upsell me over $100 for 2 new air filters. Showed me dirty filters and tried to convince me that my car was full of mold. I am upset that THEY WENT INTO MY GLOVEBOX WITHOUT PERMISSION to get a filter out. I have private, personal belongings in there. An oil change DOES NOT require them to go into the glovebox. In an interesting twist, when I checked my filters later that day, they were not the same type that Goodyear showed me. Also, I could not drop my glovebox down without spilling its entire contents over the floor. I don't think they showed me MY filters at all. I will never take my car back here again, so if they did in fact open that glovebox up, I hope they got their fill by rifling through my tampons, medication, and a clean pair of underwear.

In Dec 2017 a car backed into me and I took the car to Goodyear in Duluth GA, Satellite Blvd. The estimate included control arm and rim and a couple minor things to do with the tires. My insurance company paid them. They said the repairs would take 4 days. They ended up having my car for 14 days. Each time I called in there was a new excuse why the car was not ready. When the car was ready for pick up the steering on the car was so off I could not drive my car straight. I immediately returned the car. They said the line was perfect. I argued with them about my car driving into the left. This is a new car and even though there was damage to the tire inners the car still drove straight when I took it in for repairs.

So they rotated the tires or switched the tires around. They help the car steer straighter but above 60 mph my car shakes like crazy. I’ve taken the car back a couple times to tell them it wasn't right but they refused to do any further checking or repairs. Not to mention I never got the rim that was included in the quote that my insurance company paid for. Worst of all a mechanic has looked at my car and said the control arm is bent the same control arm they were suppose to change on my brand new car. And another horrible thing is they were the 1 and only one to ever touch my car for repairs. They were the only ones to ever touch my tires.

I told them where to find the key to unlock my rims. They used it took my tires off put them back on and never replaced the key. So when I got a flat I was stranded and ended up buying a key for $80 to get my tire off. They refuse to take responsibility for not putting the key back but they were the only ones to touch my car and the last ones to touch my car. Let’s not forget to mention the 2 ignorant men that could care less of the service they provide because they have no care since they are running the store. Shoddy repairs I plan to file a civil suit against this store terrible service.

They overcharged us and put in a remanufactured compressor and overcharged us for it and now the air conditioner in the vehicle is still not working. We have taken the vehicle back to them eight or nine times and each time they supposedly fixed it and now they’re telling us, “Oh it’s not the compressor it’s the fuse box.”

I spoke to Chris and I spoke to Mike and I asked them, "So why was the fuse box not diagnosed one of the seven times we had brought the vehicle back to them" and their answer to me was, “We didn’t know it was bad but if you buy the part will put it in for free.” So anyone who goes to this shop beware. I saw an ad for Goodyear tires and drove to my local Goodyear location and they quoted me DOUBLE insisting "this is the best deal". I went back to my office to check my research and confirmed right sized tires, and right company (Goodyear) and called the location back and have asked them to honor the price I found on Goodyear dot com. I was put on hold and after a while, ** picks up the phone and says "yeah, my supervisor says we don't match online prices". I said, "It's on YOUR website," and repeated it back to him thinking he was giving his supervisor wrong information. I asked ** if I could speak to the supervisor and after putting me on hold again repeats the same we don't match online pricing and adds "even our own".

Dumbfounded, I ask, "Well it tells me that after I order from the website, they would install them." He said "that's correct"... "so I can't order from you, I have to order online and wait for them to ship the tires to your location??" I asked. "Do what you want to do, we can't match the price". Ok then, I order the tires, Goodyear emails me confirmation the tires will be at the St Augustine Goodyear location in a week along with the appointment time of 5 pm. I go there at the appointed time and was greeted by ** and he tells me he has nothing in his system. I show him my confirmation email on my phone and this starts a 45 minute charade which reminded me of a bad Keystone Cop episode until finally they tell me, "we don't have your tires here".

I'm getting a distinct whiff of "let's punish this guy for not ordering through us" smell and ask to speak with the supervisor. Someone comes up and starts telling me the tires aren't there and they "could be here by the end of business tomorrow"... umm, I already paid for these tires, I left work early and now have to ask for more time off from work in a day or 2? This is a week and a half later and I still don't have tires and when I tried calling corporate, they close at 5 pm. What kind of commitment to customer service does this company have? I should have looked at Consumer Affairs before considering this several hundred dollar purchase. I will be requesting a full refund... I can't wait to see what aggravation is involved with that!

If I could give a negative star I would. I have been a repeat customer with Goodyear for years. NEVER has there ever been an issue until last Wednesday April 4th. I went for an oil change as always. I now have a Nissan Sentra, which like before; scheduled the appointment online via chat. Last time I had my oil change, I was scheduled for High Mileage which I schedule the same this time. Long story short, this "person" (I so want to call him so many other things); out the gate his tone was a bit much. Tells me my car needs synthetic oil instead of the high mileage. I said, "that's what I got the last time I was here." He said, "no actually, they put the synthetic and just charged for the high mileage. Actually did you a favor." I said, "excuse me"?? "No not when I paid for a service." He goes on to say, "well I can't let that happen again."

I said, "Why wasn't I told that when I was here the last time? Because you're talking to me like I knew this information, which was never communicated to me." He goes on to say, "that's why I'm telling you now." I initially said, "go ahead." Then I thought about it, "what price am I being charged today?" So I go to the front to ask Brandy, the customer friendly rep, to ask her about the fee. She said, "you'll pay for the synthetic pricing." I told her, "I think that's a little unfair that I was never advised about the transaction from last time and I'm expected to pay for something different than the $50 and change that I anticipated paying today." That "person" (loosely used term) interjects our conversation and begins to get a more indignant tone with me. Never did I raise my voice, get nasty, mean, etc. Which by this time told me he believed he could speak to me any kind of way.

By this time, I'm really pissed. But do my best to keep it together. I told Brandy, "I just want my keys, I'm done. Of all the years I've come here never have I had issues with a manager or employee." He continues to attempt to argue with me and continue to try to get loud with me. Then he wants me to sign something saying I refused service. I try really hard not to hate people but in some cases; I get it. I will NEVER spend another dollar at Goodyear. It took me a week to write a response because I was so upset and didn't want to post a review on emotions but on fact. If he is the new manager of that center, I can see Goodyear losing a lot of faithful customers. I hope karma makes a special appearance to him very soon. Toyota of New Orleans inspected the vehicle and found no oil leaks, burning of oil, nor tampering of the vehicle. After several attempts on my part, Goodyear finally agreed to send someone out to inspect the vehicle. The third party company only drained the oil, nothing more, and discovered there was only 1.5 quarters of oil in the vehicle when there should have been 5.5 quarters. Toyota said there is no way my vehicle burnt 4 quarts of oil in 2K miles and in their opinion Goodyear did not add enough oil. Goodyear denied the claim without explanation.

Goodyear Webster NY - My tailpipe had corroded and was hanging off the underside of my 2004 Ford F150. I asked Frank if I could bring in my truck to see if they could remove the hanging piece and give me an estimate on a repair. When I arrived, they took the truck and put it on a lift. I waited and watched from the waiting room. I was told that they could not do the repair and that I should take it to a welding shop for an estimate. I asked them if they could cut the piece off and I would take my truck to another shop. I watched them use a BLOW TORCH to remove the piece of pipe. It was dark out when I left so I did not see the damage to my truck.

When I looked at it on Saturday I immediately called and asked to speak to Frank. He was not available. I do not know who I spoke to but he said to bring in the truck and he would look at it. When I came in Frank didn't even look at me. The other guy looked at my truck and said that the pipe had been pressing up against the underside of my truck and had burned it. I said no - that is NOT a nicely melted piece of plastic. THAT is from the BLOWTORCH. He denied it again. So I left. I will NEVER take my truck back to them again. I will find another shop. If you do damage to a vehicle FESS UP. I went to the Ford dealer and ordered a replacement piece. It was $22.00. These guys suck. Does this picture look like it was melted by a piece of pipe?

My vehicle is a 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. The work I got done was an oil change. The mechanic that did the work had overtightened the Oil filter. Oil was spilling out. My fiancee called & took my vehicle back to get looked at. The manager saw the issue. Had a new mechanic fix the issue. As my vehicle was on the lift he had a problem try to get the oil filter off. My vehicle was rocking. Now due to all of this I now have an oil leak which I never had before. I am a Goodyear card holder for over 7 years. I called them and no help. Now I have to keep an eye on oil.

I went up to Goodyear because the muffler, that had been hanging by a thread, had (finally) fallen off my car. I was looking to replace the muffler and the exhaust pipe. The brake light was also on, so I went in to get it checked. They said that it was the rear brakes and that the back tires didn't move (so essentially the car was being dragged by the front wheels).

They couldn't give me ANY estimate about how much it would cost to repair the car, because even after they took the brakes off they might SEE something else. They did say that I needed a new muffler and exhaust pipe, but that while they were fixing the exhaust they might SEE something else that needs repair. I was almost like, "do you want to fix the car, or not"? They found some other stuff like a brake light out. But does it REALLY cost $29.00 to replace a brake light bulb? I was just curious if anyone ever had complaints about Goodyear, so I googled it. Wow, looks like I'm not the only one who feels leery about this company. I will be getting the car fixed, elsewhere. Poor service is ever with us but the vitriolic reviews I encountered online for some reason other Goodyear retailers across the nation prompted this response. Ask your retailer if he/she knows Bill Anders (Burlington owner) or values the new customer coming through the door as much as his oldest. My son took his car here for an oil change and a week later the check oil light came on, so He took it back... At this point they told him it was leaking oil at the rate of 5 quarts an hour and they would have to look at it and let him know what was wrong, but they were looking at least $300. They showed him that is was leaking oil... My son who knows nothing about cars called me immediately.

They called him the next day and told him it was the R&R Valve Solenoid and it was going to cost over $1000. I called and asked them to fax me an estimate. The estimate had the part R&R Valve Solenoid as costing $594.92, and $186.90 labor. They charged for the diagnostic which should be taken away if you let them fix the car and they charged for an engine cleaning for $59.90 labor with diagnostic charges and they even changed him $16.00 for 4 quarts of oil.

When we spoke to Alan he did remove the diagnostic charge. We called NAPA and they had never heard of an R&R Valve Solenoid, turns out R&R means repair and replace. My son called them to verify the name of the part which was written on the estimate and we researched it online and the required part and it cost a whopping $79.00... My husband who has been working on cars for 40 years and I drove to Naples from Miami with the part in hand and once we talked to the very fast talking front desk guy Alan, who was very rude to my son he told us this was not the correct part. I showed him the estimate and at that point he was still being very rude and went to talk to his manager.

When the manager came out he would only talk to me, not my son. They were so upset that they were caught, they literally threw the keys at my son and told him to take the car somewhere else and have it fixed... At the end of the day, the part that they told needed to be replaced was not the part with the issue. The actual part was a gasket which cost $42.00 and my husband replaced it for free and the engine cleaning was can of Gunk which cost $5.00 - $953.54.

They did charge her for the door actuator, $80.00 for replace an easily headlight bulb (cost at Auto Zone $15.00) and they would install it for free, and did not do the code check she asked for. A few weeks later she told me she was concerned that her dash message indicated oil change needed. She had had an oil change just 1,000 miles ago. I reminded her that Goodyear did not reset the code. I then checked her oil and it was full and fresh.

Without my knowledge she went back to Goodyear and the technician showed her the dipstick and said it was indicating no oil! There were no oil stains on my driveway. Remember, this was one day before She took the car back to Goodyear. Goodyear told her that she needed two new tires, balancing, alignment, and new windshield wipers! They had the gall to tell her that a technician had to install the blades and charged $40.00 for replacement... using standard blades! Total bill was approximately $700.00! This is a blatant ripoff! How many others have had their pockets picked by this unscrupulous business? Charged her $40.00 for standard blades and replacement!

I believed them and paid $70 to get my car towed there and to fix the problem. The car sat in the parking for 5 days. I called them the 5th day and they said they don't know what the problem and they didn't charge me anything. It turned out none of the mechanics even looked at the car at all and my brother confirmed this because he lived near the shop and the car never moved from the spot where the tow truck left it! I had to pay another $70 to have it towed to another shop to get worked on. They are very dishonest and liars, I will never service my car here again!

My name is Erica **. I went to store #1250 at 1640 S. Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach, FL on Monday, Feb 22, 2016 at approx. 7:45am to patch my rear passenger tire on my 2014 GMC Acadia, before work. Knowing I had to drive 30 mi to work and not feeling safe in my vehicle without the patch, I paid the shocking and ridiculous price of $38.47. Anywhere else, the patch is $15.00. The store manager, **, was very nice and accommodating. He let me know I needed new tires, but would be able to patch the tire now. Being the first customer, I was done in 45 min.

At 5:30 the same day, I returned to my car to find the tire pressure in the tire patched was leaking again. I contacted the store, speaking to ** again, letting him know I would be returning to the store within 45 min. because my $38.47 patched tire was still leaking. This time, I had to bring my small children to the store with me. We arrived at 6:10pm… store closes at 7pm. We were there to almost 7:50pm.

Getting into my car, I checked my gauges for the tire. The psi was 38... it should have been 33. Afraid the tire could explode on my morning commute with my children in it, I ran to the garage dock to have the tech look at the tire again because the front door was already locked, letting him know the pressure should be 33 like the rest of my tires. The tech begrudgingly attached the tire hose to all four tires again (I told him it was only the back passenger) and brought down the psi to 34.

The next morning, on my commute, my car started shaking at 60mph… The tire wasn’t balanced. I contact ** at the store on Tuesday, Feb 23rd, and express my dissatisfaction of having come to the store twice for a tire patch and now have to come back a third time to have the tire rebalanced. He politely asked for me to return to the store to have the tire balanced. I told him unfortunately, could not return again tonight, but would be there first thing in the morning. He informed me he would not be there, but he would let ** know about the situation, have the invoice ready, would leave instruction to have the tire balanced and give me a complete refund.

I arrived Wednesday morning at 7:30am to find the door locked, two technicians waiting for someone to open the door. Waiting 45 min with the door still locked. I left at 8:15am, still not serviced or refunded. Again today, I arrive at 7:45am. ** looking clueless behind the counter, told me he had no technicians and no idea about my refund with no customer service skills whatsoever. So, where does this leave this customer? Returning tonight for the 5th time, again with my 2 small children.

Based on your Corporate Mission, values, goals and purpose, this store shouldn’t exist. I have yet to see this location “delivering the highest services for their customers and consumers” as one of their Global Purpose based on the 4 times I’ve already been to the store. The problem with lack of communication leaves your shared value of “discussing problems openly and solving them as a team” extremely lacking since one hand refuses to wash the other. And now, they’ve COMPLETELY lost this customer, leaving the Common Goal of “Earning and building long lasting relationships with customers” way behind.

I am furious. This has been a completely unacceptable experience. All this for a ridiculously, overpriced, incorrectly patched and unbalanced tire. Hopefully, this 5th time will be the LAST time I have to stop at this disjointed location to complete such an easy task with less incompetency. I am posting a complaint with Consumer Affairs as well as the Corporate offices.

I made it back to the Silver Spring-Rockville Maryland area and took it to Liberty Gas Station which has a car repair service center too. Robert, an honest mechanic, looked at the car and said that first I just needed a new tire on the right front and later to get the control arm ball joint fixed which caused the tire to wear fast. I got a new tire for $80.00 installed. It fixed the problem of the knocking immediately. I did not need $2000.00 of repairs. I am an African-American female. Where is the fairness?

They are not even willing to meet me halfway, by charging me for the parts and not labor, which really is pretty giving on my part as the car is under warranty and they broke it. My daughter went into Goodyear on September 19 (Saturday) for an oil change. The car was running fine. Shortly after leaving, it started jerking and smoking. I had it towed back to Goodyear. They told me that someone had left the cap off. Turns out it was off the radiator. It was shortly after closing but they looked at it, then said she was good to go. When she tried to leave, it wouldn't stay cranked. They said leave it and we'll look at it on Monday.

Monday, I received a call that the gasket was probably blown and that it would be about $1700. I had her father call because he's a machinist who's done work for this shop before and obviously he knows more about cars than I do. He spoke to a technician and asked for the manager. Manager wasn't there, so her Daddy called back the next day (Tuesday). The manager said they were not responsible.

Wednesday, I called corporate. I felt confident that the problem would be handled. It was not. There was no sense of urgency. After several phone calls and days of waiting, I received a call today that their inspector said that the car had apparently been in a collision and that the bumper had punctured the radiator. In the beginning they said that the gasket must have been bad already...

The car had hit another car (in a parking lot) three (3) year ago. It wasn't even a high speed collision... It was in a parking lot. Needless to say, Goodyear will not accept any responsibility for this. I am beyond angry (as the rating indicates). I have been a loyal customer and I feel like I've been railroaded. I also have to wonder if this is a regular component of their business practice. If every shop screwed over one customer a month, they could make a lot of money!!!

He told me the strut is gonna cost 107 each so I called Sunline. They charged me 35$ for whole strut assembly so I found my own mechanic to save so total was 85$ that includes labor. My mechanic told me I need a alignment so I went back to Goodyear again. They said it would take 59 minutes. I came in at 2:30. I had a appointment so I left and I spaced off.

It was 4:45 pm so I called and they said they are about to lower car so come get it. So in my head am thinking they did alignment because last appointment they called me back 15 minutes after I drop car off saying they broke something on our vehicle and they have to order the broke part. So we thought the alignment appointment went good. We come in. They said they never did alignment because the strut spring is broken and we just replaced the whole assembly strut. We have receipts for that. They also never wrote on the first invoice that they broke the filter cap so I and my wife feel like they broke the part we just replaced.

So they told us to bring our vehicle in morning. Basically we are worried about bringing car back to them knowing every time we bring car in they break something or something breaks. Updated on 9/13/15: I also want to add the labor charge was $98, which seems reasonable. However, the cost of part was more than double. That is considered a fraud committed by Good Year. So the argument about labor cost is not correct. They are paying the labor reasonable.

Just wanted to add after reading many of the complaints against Goodyear service stores as a former employee for 14 years, as store manager and assistant district manager the type comments were the same 30 years ago. There is so much pressure on store managers and service managers to make unreasonable quotas to attain a bonus. Since hourly wages are very low for mechanics they must look for all the work they can find. Usually a scare tactic that if an item which may show wear but not necessary to replace sells the job. Upper management will deny this claims but trust me if quotas are not made heads will fly.

I took my car in for an Emergency Repair (coolant light came on) on my 2011 VW Tiguan. I have taken my car here in the past and trusted the staff, Pleasanton CA. They ran a diagnostic and informed that it was a thermostat/housing unit. This was of course an incorrect diagnostic. After several phones calls and discussions later with Goodyear they informed that it was in fact the water pump. I authorized the repair of the water pump.

They completely botched the water pump installation. Dublin VW had to re-do the job that Goodyear did, and of course was an extra cost involved. I'm claiming negligence. Goodyear left fuel lines loose, bolts loose, there are pry marks indicating possible tampering, etc. There is a place where a sealant is used, and Goodyear didn't even bother to use a $2.00 sealant on the car parts to properly seal down the unit. I have the car parts showing where the sealant was not used (as they were replaced by Dublin VW). Dublin VW took and I have pictures documenting the above. All of the above is documented on the Dublin VW invoice.

Goodyear literally put my safety at risk because the fuel line could have caused my car to stall out and/or catch fire (this information is based on research and discussions with mechanics). These car engines contain a great deal of pressure and can easily catch fire. I contacted the Manager at the Pleasanton, CA store and he informed me that I should contact Customer Service. Customer Service (Pio) is refusing to pay both invoices. They are only willing to pay for the Dublin VW invoice. The fact that they will pay for one invoice over the other one - admittance of guilt.

In addition to the negligence, Goodyear discriminated against me as a woman with limited or no automotive knowledge. As stated earlier, I trusted them to do the repair correctly. It's reprehensible to me that in 2015 there is still discrimination against women since some of us are not educated in the area of automotive repairs. We rely on other's expertise to inform of us and guide us through the process of taking care of car repairs, etc.

I intend to write as many complaints, reviews, media, small claims as it takes to get my monies back from Goodyear. This is not acceptable, and frankly, at this point, I am surprised they are still in business. The way they treat people is deplorable, especially women. So to the Woman Consumer - Buyer Be Aware!!! Goodyear has discriminatory practices.

I went into Goodyear with one almost flat tire. They did the sales pitch on me and I ended up buying 4 new tires. We got the car home and all the tires lost most of the air pressure. We filled them 4 times and then went to our local mechanic who said they had not cleaned the rims to make the seals work. Took them back and they said they did clean them but that the rims were bad. So instead of telling us the rims were bad they still sold us four tires (which they will not take back because they were run on the road) and put them on faulty rims so that now they will not do anything about it. Whatever happened to honest, upfront salesmanship.

Updated on 11/23/2015: I submitted a complaint in July. The complaint continues. I went to Goodyear in Robinson, PA with an almost flat tire. I wanted to purchase two tires but they convinced me (shame on me) to purchase 4. So I now have a $558 bill. I left the store and within hours had 4 tires with very low air pressure. Filled tires and went back within two days. They informed me they could not take back the tires or remount because the tires were now considered used. And at that time informed me my rims were bad. Why did they not advise us of that before mounting $558 worth of tires.

Meanwhile we purchase an air compressor and began filling the tires on the road. A couple of weeks later I received a promised "rebate" in the form of a visa card that was not as much as promised. I went in to ask why and a different guy then agreed to remount the tires. As suspected, they were able to clean the rims (which obviously was inadequate the first go around).

So here I am two months later and one of the tires has formed a large bubble on the side. No scrape marks or other signs of damage. We went back and they would not do anything about it nor would they help with remounting the two good tires that I still have. Company policy. I am 68 years old, fixed income, left with this bill and using only two of the tires because understand it is not good to put just one different tire on a car. So I have two old tires that I have to have reinstalled and one of the new ones as a spare and one unusable. And I still owe $400 bucks.

This is just one of two companies I have ever filed a formal complaint about in my life. Goodyear is a waste. The only accommodation they gave was a credit for some future service. We used it for two oil changes but the last time we went it became apparent they were not happy about us using it. I wish I had read all of these reviews before I used their service. I'll be smarter next time.

Came outside, had a flat, brought tire in for repair and it is cracked all around both sidewalls internally. I do have a case number with Goodyear from their customer service and will be going to a Goodyear total care network dealer to see what they can do Monday. Tires are worn to 9/32, half of new. If I can get a new set for half the price, I will be ok with it, but will buy the extended warranty. I'm sure if I would have had a blowout, I would be in the same situation as many other complaints on here. The NHTSB is requiring tire manufacturers that have an early warning tracking system and this is definitely a sign of problems to come with the Duratracs. Guys I work with also run these tires on their full size trucks, but the tread is worn out before they get three years old.

I got frustrated and opened the door and asked one of the guys working on the car to please send someone in so I can be helped. The gentlemen who helped me was very rude, you could tell he was unmotivated to help me. I explained to him that the overheating light in my car had shown up on Friday night so I wanted him to check my car to see what could've caused this... He explained to me for that to be checked it would be $100 additional. I told him to give me a minute as I spoke with my father to see how I should proceed.

He stepped out while I made this call which only took me a little bit under 3 minutes. He took another 10 minutes to come back in. I decided not to have him check it since I felt that it was a very high price just to check what's going on. I told him I had a coupon for the regular oil for $19.95 and he didn't even bother to check it. He just printed out how much it would be which it was the discounted price and had me sign, told me he would call me once my car was ready. After a few hours I gave Goodyear a call to see if my car was ready, the same gentleman who attended me gave me the okay to go and get it.

Now I was kind of shocked because when I have left my car in there in the past they have ALWAYS called me to advise me what issues my car is having and if I would like to proceed in getting them fixed. I never received this call. When I arrived at the store to pick up my car the gentleman told me that my car was running strange. When I got into my car and turned it on within seconds the engine light began to flash and my car literally sounded like a go-kart, the way it drove was terrible it wouldn't even accelerate.

I went back into the store and asked the gentleman what had happened. Because when I drove my car there it had NO ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE. Now even more than when I first got there you could feel how annoyed he was and how much he didn't want to help. Surprisingly he did come to my car and while walking towards it he was arguing with me that it was like that when I dropped the car off! Which I know for a fact it was not. He didn't help me anymore and went inside. He is the rudest employee I have ever encountered in my life. He was of no help at all. Not even any suggestions on what I should do with my car. I will never return to this Goodyear again.

Warning to all, never take your car to Goodyear smiths auto and tire in Longbeach Mississippi!!!! I took a 2000 model Toyota echo that I only paid $1200 for to Smiths Goodyear for a miss in the engine. I had already replaced over $300 worth of new parts and sensors trying to fix it myself. After it had set in my driveway for over a year, a dear church member of mine told me of a place in Longbeach Ms called Goodyear smiths auto and tire on Pineville road in Longbeach Ms. and she said they were good Christian people and that they would treat me fair.

I HAD BEEN RELUCTANT to take the little car anywhere out of fear that I would be schaffed out of a great little gas saver and end up paying more to fix it than the car was worth. Well I finally decided to take it to Goodyear Smiths and see if they could give me a diagnosis only and an estimate on how much it would cost to eliminate the miss. To make a long story short, I received a call two days later from the owner, Mark Smith, that I owed him $435 PLUS tax and the car was still not fixed.

After a long battle of words and many phone calls later he call me back and said he can fix the car for $200 more. I said "no!!!!! Don't do one more thing to my car." At this point I had to turn over all negotiations to my wife so I would not have a heart attack. My wife talked to him and asked him to please stop what he was doing to us. Well, I don't know what happened but the next day he fixed the car by replacing one fuel injector and charged us only $600!!!!

3181 Hempstead Tpke in Levittown, NY. Have been a longtime customer of this particular Good Year location, having brought in my previous cars as well as bringing them thousands of dollars in work with my previous employer's work van. The first time I brought my Jeep in for two new tires they told me that my rear brake shoes were bad and leaking- the repair was upwards of $600 so I decided I would go the cheaper route and have my brother who's a certified mechanic do the work. He checked out the rear shoes and found nothing wrong. So I figured that maybe the technician was inexperienced and just made a mistake. Brought my Jeep in for an inspection a few months later and told the gentleman at the front desk not to check anything beyond the standard NYS inspection, as my brother is a mechanic who helps maintain the vehicle and I wasn't interested in doing any further work on it at the time. They immediately took the vehicle in. This was the longest inspection I've ever had, my vehicle spent almost 4 hours in the air and the young technician went over every little detail of the car with a fine toothed comb even as far as opening the cover on the rear differential (which is not required on a NYS inspection).

Finally the manager approached me with a work order for $120 to adjust the parking brake, which I learned later on that is an easy thing to fail on pretty much any car because the technician can step on the gas with the brake on and get the car to move when it's only supposed to hold with light acceleration. Ironically the thing they wanted to charge me over $600 on my first visit for, they didn't find during the inspection when they spent 4 hours trying to find something to fail. How is it that they can tell me my brake shoes are in imminent danger of failure during a tire change, then a few months later during inspection they're suddenly fine? Never again will I bring any of my vehicles to Good Year, when it came time for the other 2 tires to be changed I went elsewhere. They've lost my trust, I just got the impression that the shop was slow that day and they were just looking for something to try and up the sale.

When Dad went down to Good Year so Pick a Part could take the car Dad noticed that the new tires he had just gotten were replaced with old ones, things out of the trunk had been removed, the hub caps had been removed. When Pick a Part tried to start the car they found out that Good Year had removed the new battery in the car as well.

My Dad had a truck that needed new tires and brakes on it so he had left it for the work to be done so he could drive it in the place of the old car now junked. They told him that the tires on the car would not fit the truck. The new tires cost just under $400.00 but the brake job cost him $595.00. They charged him over a $100.00 more than one of the parts' cost. Dad trusted him and did not question him and since he is 90, does not challenge anyone. But when my husband looked at the work bill and checked prices online and could see that Dad had gotten overcharged in regards to the brake job. I cannot believe after 40 years of being their customer that they would steal and cheat a 90 year old man that way.

I left and went right down to Firestone and checked in my car for a price of $79.99. Oh yes, and the last time I had my car at that Goodyear for an oil change, they asked me about an alignment.

Goodyear Tire Center (is listed on Google maps as Boca Raton Tire Center), 377 South Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, FL - Being an ex-mechanic, I only bring my cars in for service when I lack the tools to do the job. Hence I use(d) this auto center for alignments, mounting tires, balancing tires, and rotating tires (merely because they have a lift and rotate the tires for free). I started using this Goodyear service center after the Midas that I previously used lost their competent manager. When I began using this Goodyear service center, there was also an excellent manager. Sadly that manager left, and this service center has degraded in quality to the point that I would consider bringing my car there dangerous.

I recently used their tire, rotation, and balancing services for the last time. I have experienced tire pressures in excess of 20 psi over what is recommended by the manufacturer on the door jam, improperly torqued lug nuts (I witnessed this in the shop as well as checked the lugs with my torque wrench when I got home. Improper torqueing of lug nuts is quite dangerous), improper tire balancing (after bringing the car back 3 times), and improper alignment (after bringing the car back three times). I do not recommend this service center for alignments, tire mounting and balancing, or even tire rotation (due to improperly torqued lug nuts). And if the techs are so sloppy as to disregard tire pressures and torque specs, I sure as heck would not want them touching something as crucial as my brakes.

I have recently started using Weber Wheel Alignment in West Palm, whose techs are competent and attentive. They got my alignment spot on in one attempt so I never had to bring the car back. They will be getting my business for tire mounting and balancing as well now, which is saying a lot as I'm located south of this Goodyear, making the trip to Weber quite a bit longer than I'd like for car service.

I haven't had the chance to call or write because I recently opened a business so I was so tied up. On 4/21/12, I took my 96 Astro Van into the Rockville, MD store as I was away on business. I decided to do all my repairs. I specifically noted that I have lots of play in the steering and a vibration in the axle at highway speed. They charged me over $600 to fix the play in the steering and never fixed the vibration. When I left, the play was still there also. I left the country also for business. When I returned, I opened the business and took the van to a Goodyear in Patchogue, NY. I told them the situation. They charged me to fix the vibration and also charged to fix an oil leak I had (over $400). They told me the gearbox did not need to be changed, so they changed a drag link (over $200) for the play in steering.

When I went to pick up the van from Patchogue, he told me that a brake line blew and needed to be changed. I okayed the job but I never had a problem with the lines. They changed the line. I went the second time to pick up the van. He got in the van to show me. When he pressed the brakes, he said, "Oh, the brake pedal is going down." He brought it in the shop once again and said another brake line blew. I had no choice but to fix it (over $350). After all, to this day, the play in the steering is still there. I still have an oil leak from same place and I am not happy at all. I am requesting a refund for all my work done at Goodyear for a total of $3,262.96.

I went to Goodyear because my car was overheating and needed service right away. They charged $55 to do a diagnostic test on it, which was fine by me. They found that my radiator blew and that I had had a slow leak in my hoses. To replace the radiator, hoses, thermostat (which, for my car comes with the housing around it), they were going to charge me $1257. I ended up getting it towed to another certified mechanic that my brother-in-law knows. Although the second mechanic was probably on the cheaper end since he knows family, he only charged $500 (and did not replace the thermostat since nothing was wrong with it). It’s less than half of what Goodyear was going to charge. But by the way, they told me I needed new tires too and if I would get them that day only, they would give me this great deal, which was no cheaper than other places! Rip off. I brought my car into Goodyear on 4th Ave. here in Huntington, WV to get a simple state inspection done. Several smaller companies had told me things like my car needs new "oil runners" which are fake parts as anyone who owns a car should know. So this year, we decided to go to a larger company because we thought that they would not have any interest in screwing us over. I set aside about $500.00 to get an inspection done every year because my car does need routine maintenance. I asked them to check it out and let me know what it would need.

The first time that they came back to me they said that the car needs new tires and an alignment, and that changing the oil would probably not be the worst thing. Done, it would be back to me that afternoon. So later that afternoon, they called me and told me that it will also need a whole lot of other parts, which will come to the grand total of a little over six hundred dollars. I was a little peeved with that, especially since one of the things that was brought to my attention was an air filter, that they are also including labor of $50.00 to replace, but it needed to get done, so whatever.

Today, they called me and said all this other stuff needed to get done for a grand total of $713.85. I officially can't bring my car anywhere else since this company has already failed me for an inspection. And now, I have spent way over my annual budget getting my car fixed and they are making a bundle off of me. Not to mention, I am on three days trying to get around without a vehicle and my luck is not changing on this anytime soon. I wish that they would have let me know about this before they started doing work. Because I'm not going to lie, I can find a mechanic to pass my car if it comes right down to it. And the list of things that they are coming up with just keeps piling up.

I was told that I could not remove my own car from their shop until it was fixed. I said I would have my mechanic look at it. He informed that I would not be permitted to drive my car out and asked if he should call me a tow truck. I said, “I had my own tow truck. My mechanic fixed the problem for around $150 (some difference). When I got my car back, I noticed that I was getting an oil light. After the service, the clutch pedal would not come all the way up resulting in my cruise control not working. I attempted to explain the problem to the service man that assisted me and he explained my "clutches" were bad. I, being a novice mechanic, had no idea that a 5-speed stand transmission had more than one clutch. He insisted my "clutches" were bad and had to be replaced to solve the problem. He would not let a real mechanic look at my problem.

Fast forward to present... after replacing the "clutch" 5 times over the past 11years due to throw out bearing burn out, the clutch master cylinder gave out and the real mechanic showed me the one that was installed by Goodyear. The rod from the master cylinder was too short to return the clutch pedal all the way out. The correct one now works great and my cruise control even works. Thanks to the incompetent serviceman working at this particular store, I'm $3,000 in the hole for new clutches. Needless to say, I haven't been back to that store nor will I ever return.

I took my 2004 Jetta to a Goodyear to check everything. They gave me an estimate for about $2,300 to fix what should be done. I had a shaky front wheel, so I told them to only fix the axle, ball joint, rear brake calipers, and do alignment. When the car was ready, I couldn’t pick it up due to work. So the next day I had my friend pick up the car and drop it off to my house. On the way, he called me and said that the car shakes and is not good. I told him to go to his home and I’ll see it after work. 5 minutes later, he called me and said that the wheel fell off the car and he is on the road.

When I called Goodyear and told them about it, they told me that they printed on the receipt that they don`t recommend to drive it because of bad wheel nuts. Nobody called me to tell me that (I was the customer), even the day before when the car was ready for pick up. And in the estimate I got from them, there was nothing about anything wrong with the wheel studs or nuts. I’ve been driving this car for over a month and have no problems. Now, after I got it from them, I lose a wheel (the one they were working on). I knew there were only 4 nuts instead of 5, but they only put 3 after work was done and said the fourth one wouldn't go on. I don't think that it was right not to contact me and tell me that it is a good idea to change wheel studs or nuts (I would have done it). Now, I’m pissed because I got to fix my car and get all four wheels since the one that fell off is not good anymore.

Complete Engine Failure - I took my 2004 Ford Explorer in for a simple oil change (Saturday). I called before I went to ask if there was a wait. I was told they were not busy and would have me in & out. I was there for over an hour. It went from 1 employee to several employees doing 1 oil change. I drove it home (~3miles). I did not drive it for the remainder of the weekend due to rain. I went to start the vehicle to go to work on Monday morning and there was a small explosion and the engine began to knock. I immediately turned the ignition off and called Goodyear to advise them of what had happened. They said to call their (800#) and they would have it towed back to them at no cost to me so they could have someone check it out (didn't happen).

Goodyear called me back to say sorry, but they didn't have the service available any longer. So if I could get the vehicle to them on my own, they would gladly appreciate it. I happen to have roadside; so I called my insurance company & they said they would have someone out to get the truck within 1 hour. In the meantime, Goodyear called to say they were sending a technician out to look under the hood & see if it was a quick fix. The tech pulled the oil stick out & could not tell if there was any oil in it!? And, neither could I. He then said it would need to go on a lift & he would let his boss know when he got back to Goodyear. I got a phone call from Goodyear just as the tow truck pulled off to take my truck to them.

Goodyear stated, “The tech said you have an engine problem & we can't help you with that.” I explained that nothing was wrong with the engine before they did the oil change. The employee then stated that he called his Regional Manager & was advised that sometimes these things happen when you have a bad filter. So, they wanted to do another oil change on it to make sure - I agreed. They did the oil change & the engine remained the same. The employee then stated that he had to wait for his boss to get back to him as far as how to handle the situation. He stated it would be a few hours or maybe the rest of the day. He asked that I leave the vehicle & said he would give me a call in a few hours - I agreed. I was called around 5pm & was advised that they were not able to get an experienced tech in that day due to being short-staffed & that they would do it first thing in the morning - I agreed.

I got a phone call the next day around noon to advise that they had towed my vehicle to another location/Goodyear and put on a lift. They did a diagnostic test & also put a scope down in the engine to find that the connecting rod on the third cylinder of the engine was blown and I now needed to replace the entire engine. I called the Regional Manager for Goodyear & he advised the same thing. I had the vehicle towed to my own personal mechanic for an assessment. He stated he would file a claim with their corporate office. I have been going back and forth with corporate for days now. They sent a so-called claims examiner out to my mechanic and looked under the hood and took a few photos. They called me days later to say that they didn't see any leaks in the engine & as far as they could see, they did nothing wrong.

I have been in contact with a very rude woman that represents Goodyear to state that they were not able to see inside the engine because my mechanic never took the engine apart or drop a pan in the engine as he said he did. They are accusing me and the mechanic of lying to Goodyear. I am so angry that I do not know what to do. I am researching my options: hire an attorney vs. go to small claims court. I have gotten quotes for new vs. rebuilt engines. Or, just cutting my losses & taking the money to put down on a new vehicle. I have just paid my current truck off about 3 to 4months ago and was not due to pay it off until December 2012. I have given the retail & wholesale values for the truck. So, I know with the exception of the engine, the truck is in decent condition. I am going to let everyone know not to go to Goodyear Tires, every chance I get.

I understand mistakes happen. All I am asking is for them to own up to their mistake and fix it. I am a mother of 3 young girls, I work everyday, I pay taxes, I am a middle-class law-abiding citizen. I will not allow such a large well-known company such as Goodyear Tires to give such poor customer service & take complete advantage of everyday people like myself.

I brought my car in on my day off from work to have my tire repaired. I had a woman ahead of me and two men walked in after me. The service agent asked me what I needed and I told him my tire needed to be repaired. He said, “Ok, I’ll get to it in a minute,” and started talking to the two men behind me and helped them instead. Another service agent asked if I was being helped and I said I thought I was, but he helped the other customers that came in after me. Even the woman next to me said, “I thought she was being helped, too, but the guy walked away from her.” That to me wasn’t a big deal. But what made it worse was that the agent got real nasty. He said he’s new. I said nicely, “Maybe I should go elsewhere to have my tire repaired if you do not want my business.” He looked up my information and saw I have been a customer for many years and that I purchased my tires from them and that two of them were under warranty.

Again, he repeated that the other guy was new and said, "Maybe you should go elsewhere because I cant’ get to you today - maybe tomorrow and it is what it is!” Well, I needed my tire fixed and it was under the warranty, so I went back the next day. When I spoke to this man again, there was no greeting. No good afternoon or how are you, but only, "Are you willing to be patient with me now?" I smiled and said, “I wasn’t upset with you. I was upset with the other agent.” Again, he repeated, "He's new and it is what it is. Now, don't you feel bad!” I said, "No!” Again, I smiled. He then bent over and said, "So what do you want me to do?" In other words, kiss his **. Well, I left my car and picked it up after work. The tire was fixed, but I had an additional 25 miles on and I could see my gas was lower than when I left the car. Again, when I walked in he didn’t have anything nice to say. Only a very smug remark, "Did you have a nice day!" I said, "Yes, I did.”

I will never go back to McGee Goodyear. Many of my co-workers have had bad experiences with them - grease on the seats, stirring wheel, doors, radio on high, seats pulled way back, etc. With all the complaints that I see, how is Goodyear still in business? I am in customer service and I never treated any of my customers like that. For one, I would have been fired on the spot! You lost a lot of customers, McGee!

The store did the installation and the car ran substantially better when the work was completed.

In February, my son needed to renew his registration which requires a smog test. The car failed the smog test and the diagnostics performed pointed to the new coils as being the cause. My son took the car back to the Bruce Sher Manager who made some lame comment that he had advised my son and I that this was a potential. That is a total fabrication/lie or whatever you want to call it. Why would I have spent over $1200 knowing in a few months my son would not be able to renew his registration.

The guy then apparently told my son it would take thousands more to make the car right. He is now driving on expired tags as the temporary permit extension has expired. I advised previously that I am out of the country. I further advised I would arrange for pickets at the store, pay for publications in local papers and call the Consumer Alert investigators at all the local TV stations to bring this injustice to public light. Your deadline has passed.

As I understand business and workdays, etc., I will give Goodyear a few more days before I and my son do as I have advised above. On Friday, March 16, 2011, there will be pickets on the sidewalk and street outside the subject shop. On the same date my son will have a message to take to the newspapers as well as the television stations. We will not allow Goodyear to get away with this.

I am disappointed by Goodyear's response on this issue and growing more so each day. This is not how Goodyear advertises its treatment of loyal customers. Although I am sure losing me as a customer will not hurt Goodyear in the least. However, it will hurt when I get the word of this treatment out to thousands.

Good Year stated to me that I needed a new radiator and added the usual maintenance items that needed fixing.

The maintenance items, I explained, had already been addressed and please just fix the problem. They charged me $888 dollars for a radiator and when I picked the car up, I asked the manager to explain to me what in the radiator was broken because it was new. Long story short, he couldn't. I also said that this was an expensive radiator. Two days later my car broke down again, leaking anti-freeze. My water pump was broken but I didn't know this at the time.

I called Good Year because I was now stuck on the road. They asked me to take it somewhere else to fix and that their work wasn't the issue. I did just that. I went to the place that installed the new radiator in the first place to see if it had a warranty. They asked me for the receipt from good year. I called good year and asked them to fax a copy to this mechanic. When they asked me why, I told them that the mechanic thinks I was over charged. The good year manager didn't send the receipt right away and I was forced to call back.

He explained to me that he realized I was over charged by $243. When all was said and done, the mechanic called the manager at good year and asked him if he misdiagnosed the repair and asked for the old radiator back (this was a 2 day span between good years fix and the next breakdown). Good year said they threw the old radiator out and it could have been misdiagnosed.

In other words, they charged (over charged) me for a repair, it wasn't the correct repair, and the old radiator was gone. In the interim, good year did not help me (no tow service or car rental assistance), nor did they care to address why this second break down occurred. I called other shops looking for a supervisor and they all seem to protect each other. Further, the new mechanic felt good year had given me the run around because when he called them directly they appeared not to care that they may have misdiagnosed the problem.

I had a baby with me in the car when it broke down, and I resent good year in every way. I have to work and I've now spent 3 days getting in and out of a car rental twice, towing my car twice and having this repaired twice (not by good year). When I called the corporate office, they did not write up the complaint and they felt the matter was taken care of. I waited on the phone with corporate for 20 minutes before I hung up. They did not call me back. I won't go back to good year. I won't have my car repaired there anymore.

I will also tell everyone I know about what happened so that they know not to go there. There are better mechanics out there Good Years warranties are not honored. Advice to good year : 1) when a customer asks you to explain a repair, do it 2) be prepared to show the customer, who clearly asked you to show her what the repair was, to bring out the old part 3) have towing available 4) honor your warranties 5) call and assist with a car rental 6) be honest and stop over charging 7) diagnose the problem instead of fixing any problem 8) Have some kind of customer complaint resolve 9) care about the customer and their welfare 10) be helpful.

I took my car in to the Kapolei Goodyear on Saturday, February 4, 2012 around 9am. I had a nail in my tire and requested to have my tire repaired. The sales rep that helped me, Whitney, was not very accommodating nor friendly towards me. She did not smile and had an attitude about her that I did not care for.

Being a woman, I feel that going to auto repair shops, the mechanics or people who work there will take advantage of me because I am a woman and don't know anything about cars. So, with another female working there, I would expect her to be more accommodating and friendly towards me being that we're both of the same gender. She rolled her eyes at me and didn't give a care in the world. When my vehicle was ready for pick up, I asked what was done to my vehicle, and she would not give me an explanation as to what was done.

I've had experience at other repair shops where at least the mechanic or sales associate would explain what they did before I paid. Especially in this case, the nail that I ran over, was pulled out of my tire and Whitney could have said, “This was what you ran over, so we patched up the tire.” I did not appreciate the service I received. This is my local Goodyear and take my vehicle for routine oil changes and would like to go where I am welcome and I feel comfortable taking my vehicle to.

I am the owner of a Mercedes Benz c280. My car wouldn't start so I took it to my local Goodyear in hopes that my car would be fixed. When I brought the car over to Goodyear, I was told that I needed a engine diagnostics and they would also fix everything that was wrong with the car. Goodyear was able to get the car to start and I was charged almost $700. It ran but after only a day, the car began to run hot and sometimes would not start. Finally, the car didn't start at all after only a few days of having the car fixed.

We pushed the car back to Goodyear only to be told that we have to pay another $70 on top of getting the car fixed. I feel like it's some type of scam to drain me out of my hardworking money. Those people at Goodyear I feel was well aware of the real problem overlooked it and charged me money to change spark plugs and a light bulb along with other minor fixes.

I'm very upset at the service and that they did not even look at the car or at least pop the hood. He looked at me and said sounds like a compressor problem. How could he know that sitting at a desk? I feel upset and it changed my whole experience at Goodyear. I don't trust the people that work there with my car and I refused to be overcharged again for car that won't even last a whole week.

    Reviewed Jan. 28, 2012

I am the owner of a 2004 Ford Free Star minivan and in December 2011, I took the vehicle into my local Ford dealership service center to diagnose what turned out to be a brake problem. The technicians at the dealership told me I needed to have the brake pads replaced on all four wheels, including the rear brake rotors. They also indicated the front rotors needed maintenance as well, but said they could grind them down instead of having to replace them. I was quoted a cost of $650.00 for the repair. Believing this quote to be high, I called around to a couple of other auto repair shops, including the Goodyear Auto Service Center, located at 19424 Middlebelt, Livonia, MI 48152, in order to get comparison quotes.

This is where my problems began with Goodyear Auto Service Center. I spoke with a sales associate at the Goodyear store and he informed me they could do the same repair for $450.00. Elated with the lower quote, I took my vehicle to their store. However, a short time after I dropped off my vehicle, I received a phone call from the same sales associate who said the front brake rotors for my vehicle also had to be replaced, which would increase the repair cost to $550.00. This being still below the Ford dealership quote, I agreed to have this additional repair done. After agreeing to this, the sales associate then suggested they take apart and inspect the brake calipers to ensure there were no issues with them. I then asked how much it would cost in the event calipers needed to be replaced and the sales associate said, it would increase the total cost of the repair to $830.00. I then asked him if it were possible to have the calipers inspected and if an issue was discovered would I have the option to still decline the repair. The sales associate told me this was not possible because he said the store would incur liability if they were to put back in place defective calipers on my vehicle. So it was an all or nothing affair.

Skeptical about this explanation, I told the sales associate I would get back with him regarding a decision on the caliper portion of the repair. Immediately after getting off the phone with the Goodyear sales associate, I contacted the Ford dealership where I had originally taken my vehicle to and specifically asked if their inspection the day before revealed any issues with the brake calipers. They told me there was no problem with the calipers.

Now believing the Goodyear sales associate was simply trying to up-sell me a repair I didn't need, I called the store back and told the same sales associate not to worry about the calipers. So they then proceeded with the repair as originally agreed and I ended up picking up my minivan later the same day.

Everything seemed fine at that point. That is, until about three days ago when my wife, who regularly drives the minivan, began to notice a loud squeaking sound every time she applied the brakes. Consequently, I had my wife take the vehicle back to the Goodyear store in order to see what was wrong with the brakes since obviously the brake repair was still under warranty as they had replaced the brakes not even a month ago.

As it so happened, the same sales associate who I had dealt with happened to be working and assisted my wife. After examining the brakes the sales technician informed my wife that the squeaking sound was result of the fact the rear calipers were frozen. He also told her that he had told me back when I first brought the vehicle in for repair last month that the calipers needed to be replaced, but that I had declined the repair. He then told my wife it would now cost $575.00 in order to have the calipers replaced.

When my wife informed me of this my first thought was the repair quote of $575.00 seemed pretty high, especially when you consider the fact I just paid the store $550.00 for an entire 4-wheel brake job. One would think that this would have been taken into consideration, but obviously wasn't. Second, I was still not convinced the calipers were the problem based on what the Ford dealership had previously told me.

So instead of having the repair done, I, first, re-contacted the Ford dealership and obtained a quote to have the rear calipers replaced. They provided me a quote of only $407.14. I then contacted another auto service shop that I trust and had used on a few occasions before and they provided me a quote of only $312.00. Moreover, I explained the entire situation about the Goodyear Auto Service Center to the owner of this shop and he suggested I bring the minivan in to their facility for an independent brake examination, which is what I did.

As it turns out, this service center diagnosed the problem as not being the rear calipers, like the Goodyear sales associate had told my wife. In fact, the calipers were fine, just like the Ford dealership mechanic had said in the first place. Instead, it was found the squeaking noise was result of low-grade quality brake pads Goodyear had installed as part of the original repair.

More specifically, the brake pad they had used did not exactly fit the rear brake calipers, which I understand is a common problem with low-quality brake pads. In fact, I was told by the shop owner that it was evident the Goodyear mechanic had attempted to hammer the pad into place in an attempt to make it fit properly but was not successful. Hence, the squeaking noise.

Fortunately, the service repair shop owner was gracious enough to replace the low-grade brake pads that Goodyear had incorrectly installed on my vehicle with a better grade pad and now my vehicles brakes are operating quietly. Moreover, he only charged me for labor ($169.00), and threw in the cost of the replacement pads for free out of sympathy for my plight with Goodyear.

As should be obvious by now, I am extremely upset with the service I had received at the Goodyear Auto Service Center and feel I should be reimbursed the $169.00. I had to pay the other auto repair business to fix the original brake repair in which they had performed on my vehicle not even a month ago. In addition, I feel it was very unprofessional and unscrupulous on the part of the Goodyear sales associate to attempt to sell me an unnecessary $575.00 brake caliper repair that had nothing to do with the problem to begin with.

By the way, the owner of the shop who had corrected the repair had informed me that the Goodyear Auto Service Center store I had taken it to had been in trouble with the State of Michigan for charging customers for unnecessary repairs. Bottom Line: Steer clear of Goodyear Auto Service Centers, at least the one in Livonia, Michigan.

Goodyear left the old gasket with the new gasket, so it blew off and the engine ran dry. Kia replaced the oil filter and filled it with new oil and started it up, no noise!

The Goodyear claim rep told me sorry, but there is nothing they can do for me! Now we own a new car that is 6 months old with less than 3,000 miles with no warranty on the engine. If I didn't double check the work service, I would have left the service center without a tire rotation that I already paid for! Now, I have to come back again next week for 30 minutes due to this setback. What I do not understand is the lack of attention to the service, when a customer is paying for a particular service. My wife took our car to Goodyear on Rt. 59 in Warrenville, Illinois, to have two tires repaired that they had repaired improperly. When she came back, she showed me a long list they gave her saying that our car needed almost every type of service imaginable. The list was incredibly long. They said it needed the coolant flushed, new tires, brakes, a tune up, struts, and on and on. I maintain my cars extremely well and some of the things they said needed replacement were virtually brand new. (I will list the things they said the car needed at the end of this message.)

Unfortunately for Goodyear, I know something about cars, having worked on them my entire life. Also, the intervals they claimed for the services were far shorter than Honda's recommendations. In fact, they were 1/2 or less the mileage Honda recommends. On top of all of this, the messed up the tire repair again today. We had insisted on having the "inside" balancing weights put on and they agreed to do it but they put the external weights on again. (They can ruin aluminum wheels and, in fact, we had to replace all the wheels on our other car for that reason.)

I called Goodyear when my wife showed me the outrageous estimates and recommendations they gave her. The man I talked to was rude. I told him what the Honda service intervals were and he insisted that Honda was wrong. Both my owner's manual and the factory service manual (I buy one for every car I own) recommended service intervals that were about twice (or more) the mileage that Goodyear said were required. But the Goodyear man insisted that my owner's manual and factory service manuals were wrong.

In my opinion, this was a classic case of a car repair place hoping that the customer knew nothing about cars at all and would fall for an old scam. I will never deal with Goodyear again and I am going to warn everyone I know to avoid them like the plague. This is the type of attempted rip-off that gives car repair places such bad names.

After they took a closer look, they stated that they would be unable to repair the tire due to placement of the screw. I was quoted $180 for a new tire. I informed them and showed proof that I had recently purchased my two front tires from Good Year in PA and that I got the pair for $200. When I asked the difference, I was told that it was a NJ thing. Are there different prices for different states? Not having much of a choice, I went with the tire replacement for $180.

My real issue is the tone and the way I was treated by the store manager (Nick **). As I remained calm through this process, he on the other hand was extremely short and very rude. I asked three times for my bill so I could get back to work. His response was that he could do nothing for me until he received the mileage and the numbers off the tires from the garage. It wasn't until the third time that I asked him that he finally left the front desk and went to back to obtain this information. It was an hour later at this point.

Long story short, I will no longer be using Good Year for tire service. And I will pass this experience onto my co-workers, family, and friends. One last thing, I am active duty Army and inquired about a military discount. I was given a form for a mail in rebate for $10 off a tire if I bought four tires. So being that I have only bought three tires at this point from Good Year, I do not receive any recognition of my military service from them, except for will recognize you if you buy four tires. This pretty much sums up my great experience with this ungrateful tire company.

I had to be somewhere so I did not have time to turn around anyway. I saw that they played with the mileage and the speed meter was not reading right. When I contacted them, I got two different stories which I have all the letters that we sent each other printed out as proof of what was said and they said, they had to get the correct mileage but the car was on the correct mileage already. Then they said they hit the button on mistake. How could that happen when you don't do the oil change in the front seat. Anyway, none of those stories add up due to the speed meter not reading right.

The guy who fixed it for me told me that they hooked the computer to my car and that's how it got all messed up and he said they don't have no right to hook up the computer during an oil change or touch any buttons. So they just didn't play with my carthey, lied about it and got rude to me about it. I have a letter from Goodyear Corp which is rude and they said it was a mistake. How do you hook up a computer to a car by mistake? And they said they where not sorry for what happened and the guy whose name is Patrick who told his boss Joseph those two different stories and they said that Patrick is not going to tell them the truth. He didn't want to get into trouble.

Of course he is going to lie, but like I say I will not gain anything from making this up and I did not know those guys in the garage. So why would I lie about what I heard and what they did and why would they give me a refund from the oil change if nothing happened? And why did they change stories. You trust these car services with your car, then play with your car and lie about it. I was forced to give one star but they don't deserve anything.

Hi, I went to your dealer in Coconut Creek, Florida--Lou Bachrodt Mazda. And after speaking with the general manager, they told me it may have been that we took a curve and it caused the car to get misaligned. It's strange that the one specific tire was evenly wear out. For me, it's more than alignment or rotation because the magnitude of the wear out is too drastic. In 35 years of owning cars, I have never seen anything like that. The car was checked and it was misaligned.

Since they did not agree to replace the tire and that this was a safety issue (my wife uses the car to transport my children), I ended up paying for the alignment and for the two new tires, even though they are less than seven months and I only applied 12,000 miles. What a way to satisfy a customer. But if that is how the Good Year warranty works, congratulations. My families' safety is first. It seems that Good Year does not see it that way.

I have been trying to get Good Year to identify the root cause for corrective action to avoid future faulty tires but they just don't want to listen. They just got stuck with the lack of alignment to justity their poor workmanship and poor quality. I am okay if they don't want to reimburse my money, but at a minimum, I would like to look into the problem before (God forbid) someone has an accident in the future.

They were subsequently losing air. Immediately upon entering the main lobby, she was confronted by what some would consider a bully, even though he held the position of store manager. She was referred by a friend who works there and mentioned having talked to another employee prior to the issue with her car. He, along with two other employees, acted as though she was an idiot and even started to laugh at her by making snide remarks regarding who she needed to talk to or what "department" she needed to be in. All the while they were making her feel that she was not in the right place or talking to the right person, as he said, "you're in the front office!". It was as if they were all conspiring to belittle her and to make fun of her situation. They were being downright cocky, demeaning, obtuse and mean. She came out of the store literally in tears! After she began crying in the lobby, she felt very embarrassed and blamed it on a recent injury so as to not cause more embarrassment.

This doesn't stop here. My younger daughter was out at the car when one of the employees came out to drive the car into the garage. He was rude to her when she asked if he needed to get in the car because he hadn't at this point said anything to her. His response was "Well yeah, to fix the car". This was even after they had asked my oldest about leaving them the keys and she told them that she had to retrieve them since they were still inside the car. Furthermore, I experienced similar rudeness when I entered the lobby to pay for the work they performed. I was greeted with sarcasm when asked about signing the papers. There's something you can tell when somebody says, "Have a good day, sir!" and they don't really mean it. In summary, I, who has been in retail myself, could never imagine treating a customer in the way that we were all treated. I of course told them “no.” I am not an ASE mechanic, but I do know my way around cars/engines; I have built several. I am not a novice. My friend, an ASE mechanic looked at the lines and said they tried to rip your wife off. There is no leak of any kind.

So I brought my vehicle to a reputable place and of course it passed - no issues! Not only did they try to perform work not needed, they tried to charge us $700.00 + tax for a power steering line which costs around $80.00 online and takes about 30 minutes to install. I understand that most places want to make a couple of dollars but this is criminal. Please do not go to this Goodyear in Waxhaw, NC unless you have the need to be ripped off! Thankfully I only lost $23.75. But they attempted to rob me of $700.00 plus. If I was not mechanically inclined, I would have been ripped off. The car should not have fuel induction cleaned.

I said I wanted what the coupon said, he said it also says 10 off synthetic oil. I was very upset with that. I asked him whether they reset my oil settings in my car, he said yes. I went to my vehicle and my oil settings were not set nor did they issue me a reminder windshield sticker.

I went and told the salesman and he asked the technician to reset my settings and issue me a sticker. The technician did not know how to reset my car and he issued me a sticker with the wrong mileage as well as wrong month for me to return. I am very upset and will make sure action will be taken.

I will never ever return to Goodyear.

On, 7/31/2011 I called ahead to see if Goodyear was open on Sundays and if they would have a mechanic available to change the brakes on my parents car. I spoke to Justin; he said that I could come in. When I arrived I told him I would need new brakes and possible rotars. His was response was, "is that what they told you" very condisending because I'm a girl I don't know what I'm talking about. He asked if I've been there before and I said no, so he said he needed my information for a "membership card," after verbally taking my information he handed me a half sheet and asked me to fill in my social security number and sign. I was uncertain about putting my social but thought it might be a filling system for their computers. After he did a "free brake inspection" he listed several things that he thought needed to be done 2 of which I was certain about the others was just an upsale.

After I agreed to the necessary items he stated, "a good thing is you've been approved for $2500.00 line, no annual fee,..." I cut him off and said, "are you talking about credit?" he said yes and I said I did not want it. he said ok and tried to explain that even if people don't use the card they show their "membership card" anyway to get discounts then left the waiting room. I paid for the over priced items, and exactly 1 week later I receive a Goodyear credit card in the mail. I know now that it shows as an open account on my credit which does not help me, I need to buy a car soon. I work for a credit union and I know that you have to disclose information when pulling credit for an application, he never once said anything. I will also be filling a complaint with Goodyear, better business, and all three credit agencies. I work very hard to maintain my good credit and it is very upsetting knowing that someone can punch a few keys and open a credit account without full explanation. It is even more upsetting that their reps are selling it as a membership card and not explaining to their customers that they are about to pull credit.

I called the Goodyear Service Center on the corner of Hwd Blvd. & I-95 for an oil change at approximately 9:30 AM. I was told to come around 2 PM. The same man with whom I had spoken remembered me and showed him the $16.95 coupon that brought me to his business. I drive a 4-cylinder Ford Escape. He immediately told me that this coupon doesn't apply to my vehicle. I need the $39ish oil change and he would give me $5 off. I have over 35,000 miles on my small SUV. Having had many oil changes on this and numerous other vehicles, I felt it was too much. I usually pay around $20.00 for an oil change. He told me that if I don't do the more expensive oil change, "your engine will blow up".

To his misfortune, I have raised two husbands and three sons and know too much about cars to fall for that chauvinist nonsense. I walked out of the garage, took the book out of my glove compartment and could find no warnings as he implied. I then drove to Pep Boys on Stirling Rd. in Hollywood where they honored my coupon without hesitation. Clearly, this man practiced what is known as "Bait and Switch". A practice which is both unlawful and inappropriate. That I am a female senior citizen further exacerbates the level of his immorality.

I am not sure if this is a company-owned store or otherwise. But no matter how one sees, it the reputation of GOODYEAR is on the line. It is particularly egregious in South Florida that has an extremely high number of senior retirees and senior women, in particular.

Thank you. I'll await for your reply.

My two sons had an appointment with a Goodyear Auto Service Center for two inspections on their 2010 vehicles. The first one, a Subaru, went in for the inspection. They came back an hour and a half later as instructed by the manager, and the car still wasn't even started. About 1 1/2 hours later, the service manager told my son he needed a new wiper blade. These blades were just installed at his last oil change because the dealership has a three-year free replacement policy and he had them put in new blades at that time. These blades were in perfect working order and they are under warranty. I am so angry that they took advantage of my son in this manner. The fact that they charged us 10 dollars is not the issue. It's the principle of the matter.

On 3/1/10, I took my Toyota Pickup in for a front end realignment because I had just purchased some new tires (from an entirely different place). I was told that I would need to have approx. $650 worth of work done before they could do the front end alignment. When I took my truck to my regular mechanic the next day, he told me he couldn't find anything wrong with the parts Goodyear wanted to replace and that I should take it somewhere else.

I took the 2000 Honda Accord for the speed sensor and timing belt. It cost a total of $1000. When we came to pick up the car, the engine was vibrating; but the tech said they didn't feel or hear anything when he took it for a test drive. We couldn't believe that they couldn't hear anything. They kept the car and rechecked it; after 2 hours, he said that it was ready. We took it for a test drive again, but it still vibrated. He then said that we would have to leave the car overnight to have the chief mechanic look at it in the morning.

The next day, they called and said that the engine mounts might be causing it, and it would cost about $500 to fix them. They told me they had to take the engine mounts out to replace the timing belt. We suspect they broke the engine mount and hoped that we would not notice the vibration and take the car home so they could say that it was not their fault. We let them fix it. They originally told us that 3 engine mounts that needed to be replaced cost $500. I then called and told them to keep the broken mount for when we pick up the car. They then said that only 1 mount was broken. If I had not asked for the broken mount, they might have cheated me for 3 mounts for an additional $300.

We took the car back after 1 week; now the catalytic converters needed to be changed and would cost $800+. We are really mad now, and I want to tell everyone not to use the Goodyear located at Lewisville. I wish I've read the complaints on this website before I took the car there. Please do not let them touch your car. We are taking the car to a technician that a friend has used for years.

I had my Toyota fixed today at this service center today. I realized after I left and reviewed my bill that they overcharged me, or you could say it was price gouging. I could have bought the brake calipers for 81 dollars the dealer charged me right at 253 dollars apiece.

I received a coupon for 5 dollars off of an oil change. So, I drive 15 miles away from my house to have this done. I ask when I walk in, How much for an oil change? The front counter person named John V. says, $23.99. So, I say, I have a coupon for $5.00 off. So, he gives me the paper to sign for them to do the work, and I wait for about 1.5 hours, and he calls me to the counter to say it's done.

I look at the bill and it is $27.27. I say, it should be $18.99 plus tax. I look the paper further. He charged me $3.00 for windshield wiper fluid. I say, I never asked for windshield wiper fluid, yet you charged me for it. He says, You signed the paper. I was furious. You see, because I gave them a $5.00 coupon that THEY SENT ME, they pad the loss right back by adding things you don't ask for, hoping you won't read the paperwork you signed to have the oil change done, which I unfortunately did not. I go on to tell him I feel this is incredibly deceptive and that I will never come back.

IT GETS BETTER FOLKS!! I go directly to the car wash to wash my car. Something tells me to look under the hood. Guess what, windshield wiper fluid reservoir is COMPLETELY BONE DRY. Not only did I not authorize having this done knowingly, but had to pay for it, but they NEVER DID IT.

I called them back immediately to which I spoke to their manager and told him I was contacting their district manager. I pleaded me to just talk to the front desk clerk, who I agreed to talk to (whom was condescending to begin with when I confronted him in the first place). I asked him for an explanation of why there was no windshield wiper fluid when they charged me for it, and his reply was I guess it wasn't done. He didn't offer, Hey, come back in and we'll fill it up or give your money back, just a smart mouthed person.

Well, after I am done, it will cost him a lot more than $3.00. I am contacting my local TV consumer complaint division, contacting their division manager, ripoffreports.org/com and maybe, just maybe I'll get some results. If they are doing this to me, they are doing it to everyone. I realize $3.00 isn't much, but it's the principal. I could have gone 1 block from my house to have this done, but choose them.

I believe there is an ongoing policy on behalf of my local Goodyear dealer to do regular maintenance on my fleet vehicle but not notify me (even when I ask for Inspection) when my brakes are low, so that they can charge 3 times the price for a major brake overhaul. It has happened several times to me in the last several years.

Three times the price and the inconvenience of a downed fleet vehicle. I mistrust their service.

They checked out the brakes and determined that we needed new rotors, new brake pads and they would have to bleed the brakes for a grand total of $555.00! Of course we said no way. We decided to wait until the next week and take it to a Mazda Dealer. Low and behold the Dealer is charging us $89, because we only need the front brake pads replaced! I took my girlfriends car in to Goodyear for a Winter Car care service. The first thing I noticed was the technicians could not figure out how to position the jack pads under the car. The next item deals with an employee who was upset at something and was yelling and swearing and dropping the F word and didn't care about the customers hearing him. Next comes the work that was to be done. I had to remind the technician to check the transmission fluid after he told me he was done. After I got him to check that he said he was done, but he never checked any battery components or the charging system as is stated.

I was more then let down at this point but it got worse! As I was talking to the technician about the work on the car, I noticed ( t was very obvious) a 'Swastika' had been drawn on the cover for the tire balance machine. I talked to the manager on duty about these incidents and while he assured me he would 'handle' it, I doubt it and I will NEVER go back again. I will take this matter up with the local military authorities and request this business be investigated and placed off limits to the numerous military personnel in this area. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

I brought my car in, to have a tire repaired; when I got ready to leave I noticed an electrical wire dangling from the dash of my car. This wire was not dangling from the dash of my car before I brought it to this store. I do not drive around with wires dangling from my dash. Someone from that store busted the side panel of my dash and ripped out a wire. I do not know why they did it or exactly who did it, but I will never take my car to this auto place ever again.
