Between two different locations I’ve had nothing but more car trouble and horrible customer service. From oil changes where all the oil leaked out overnight because the cap wasn’t on correctly, to making an appointment and waiting two hours just to see my car finally pulled in to start its work (what’s the point of setting the appointment?), to paying thousands of dollars for a problem that “might” be fixed, ended up not being fixed, but still I’m out thousands for replacing parts I never needed to. Firestone is full of scammers and rookies who will end up making your car worse, never go here.

I went in with a flat tire, I was talked into purchasing a new set of tires. 3 years later, I have another flat, make an appointment and sit for over two hours to hear "we are unable to repair your tire, we no longer sell this tire. So, we recommend replacing all four". I told them to shove it and walked out. These guys are con artists. Two separate locations so it's not one store.

My first set of Firestone tires. The first part of the name says it all. Fire and that is what needs to be done with the tires, save time and money just burn them. I am 60 and on SSDI so my income is very low. I have also been buying tires since I was 16. This is my first dealings with Firestone and will be the LAST!! No matter what the price. I've taken they back, no help. I've contacted Firestone no help. They even put PT tires, which is for a car on my 4 wheel drive truck. Do yourself a favor and stay away at all cost.

This store will sell you services you don't need, and then they won't stand behind their service when they do something that causes your car issues. I brought my car in at 68k miles and they told me that I needed new spark plugs. I didn't know at the time that spark plugs are supposed to last 100k miles. And a mechanic was telling me I needed it; so I listened. 8k miles later, the end of a spark plug (that this Firestone installed and told me I needed) broke off into the 4th cylinder because a technician tightened it too much and the end of the spark plug cracked. I drove around for ~8k miles before the spark plug actually broke off, and now it has ruined my engine. So, I wouldn't even be in this position if they A) wouldn't have sold me a service I did not need for another 33k miles, and B) if the technician would have done their job correctly.
My dad is a mechanic and worked at the highest grossing (and privately owned: aka, not corporate) Firestone in North America for over 20 years as their head mechanic. One reason they were the highest grossing is because people from all over our state would come BECAUSE my dad is an honest man, and because he wouldn't sell someone something they did not need. I would not recommend this Firestone location to anyone, knowing what I know now.
I am also a woman, and the woman at the front desk said to me, "Maybe you can talk to your dad and he can explain it in a way that you can actually understand." I know I am a woman, but I am not an idiot. I have a degree in Physics and understand mechanics very well. I also understand that something can crack, but it won't actually break until enough force has been applied over time. Again, I wouldn't be in this situation if I wasn't sold a service I did not need. I have had issues with this store before, but because it was "under new management," I decided to give it another try.
After they came "under new management," they installed windshield wipers wrong; when I went to use them while it was raining, the rubber part flew off and then the plastic part scratched my windshield. They also forgot to reset my oil life (I thought maybe they didn't change my oil, but I checked it and they did). And they have not rotated my tires before and claimed they did. I know they also have to reset the tire sensors, but they didn't even rotate them, and I knew that because of a mark I put on one of my tires.
Another thing I think people should know: A corporate Firestone works like this: a mechanic recommends replacing x fluid. Then the person upfront will type that into the software, and the software will give them a bunch of other recommended services related to replacing fluid x, to add to your ticket. So now your mechanic only recommended "replacing x," but the person upfront (who earns commission) will also tell you, "You need a flush of x as well." So now, you think you need this done in conjunction.
Now let's add another layer: mechanics and technicians work on a set estimated time per service; a.k.a., billed labor time. So, for this fluid replacement, the mechanic only gets paid for their labor time. If a service takes longer than the set standard, the person doing the labor doesn't get paid for the extra time. So there is this value system that has been cultivated in corporate Firestone that ends up being mutually beneficial between the person upfront and the person in the back.
This also drives up how much the store itself makes. All of which screws over the customer for the benefit of a billion-dollar company. You may want to say, "But at least the employees are also benefiting." Let's do a thought experiment on that: Remember how I said my dad ran a non-corporate Firestone, and it was the highest-grossing location in North America for 20 years? Well, they didn't do things the corporate way. They paid their technicians, mechanics, and service members fairly, and it cultivated a team of awesome professionals who wanted to do right by the customer. They were not incentivized to screw over the patron. Thus creating trust and community, and that is EXACTLY the reason that this store was as successful as it was.
Corporate Firestone ended up purchasing that Firestone, and they implemented the "corporate way" of doing business, and within the year, it was no longer the Firestone it was. My dad ended up leaving because he hated screwing people over. He opened up a shop and took all of his loyal customers with him, and he is now the proud owner of an amazing shop with loyal customers across state lines.

Had to replace a flat tire so due to mileage I decided to get four new tires. I was told the TMPS device was broken so it was replaced. After they were done, the tire pressure did not display. They told me to take the car to Lexus to have the problem resolved, and I would be fully reimbursed for the cost. I took the car to the dealer and was told that they put the wrong device in. I went back to the store with the invoice, they refused to reimburse me for the total cost and said they were only responsible for the TMPS device. They lied! I also noticed they had a road hazard insurance on my first work order. I asked them to remove it and assume that they did. Upon checking out I didn’t review and find that they had not removed it. Now they refused to remove it and provide me credit. I would avoid Firestone at all cost!

I purchased brand new tires in December. I went for a tire rotation, apparently someone tried stealing my tires so my special lug nuts were chizzled and broke. They told it would cost 645$ to remove the lug nuts. Which is outrageous and they cut a stud off my car and there denying they did so. I called to complain about my stud being cut off. They denied doing so, but when I took my car in my tire had all 5 studs on it. This was the north Olmsted location. Rick was the manager when this happened. When I called I spoke with Bill. He said there’s no way they cut my stud. Clearly there taking advantage of a female like most car places do. I’m extremely unhappy with their service and their management. Extremely terrible customer service and they owe me a hub bearing now and are denying they cut it….

I have only put 18,500 miles on my Ram Firestone Transforce AT tires (275/70/R18) and have had to buy new tires costing me over $800.00. To put things into perspective, I do not accelerate quickly and I have rotated my tires after an oil change I had and the wear on all four tires are even. I do tow a camper however, the storage lot and where we camp is less than 1/2 mile to where we park. I have contacted Ram who points their fingers at Firestone and Firestone who does the same. Firestone also told me we are not sure how you drive and added a Sorry. Needless to say these tires should last at least 40000-60000 miles. All I was looking for from Ram or Firestone was a replacement set or an explanation so that the new tires I bought do not wear at the same rate.

I first visiting Firestone on October 28, 2022. I had a construction screw in my tire. Understandably the screw was super huge and I understood that the tire could not be plugged. The tire for my Buick Encore (2019) -- Continental Conti-ProContact Firestone price was $272.79. The person who created my work order for my tire told me they did not have the tire at the shop and to call out to have the tire delivered. The tire was installed and I was back on the road. Little did I know he never told me that this brand tire for my SUV was not covered with Road Hazard Warranty and it is not posted in the store like Walmart and other tire shops list Road Hazard Warranty.
Dec 26, 2022 the same tire had a metal chip in the tread so I went back to the same location and of course the sorry line he told me "the tire cannot be plugged" so we have to order another tire for install which would have costed me another $272.79 (no Road Hazard warranty) because firestone only offers that type of warranty on their name brand tires that are sold in the store (Firestone and Bridgestone). So if they had not taken over 2 hours for the tire to deliver Firestone would have gotten me again. Luckily person told me that to come back the next day and the tire would be delivered and installed. I left my flat tire and rim there.
I did research that evening and the tire that Firestone was going to sell me again was $100 cheaper elsewhere. The next morning I called Firestone and told them, "Do not install that new tire and I will pick my rim and tire up when I'm off from work." Check this out, my son took my tire to a local tire shop and guess what? That shop plugged my flat tire for $30.
My take away, Firestone is only concerned about selling tires and I wonder what is the percentile of tire plug service at Firestone? NEVER do business with tire companies that don't offer Road Hazard Warranty and if they cannot plug your tire try taking that tire to a different shop (2nd opinion). Make sure to research the true price of a tire you need to purchase. You will save some money.

Firestone 25602 S I-45 Frontage Rd Spring, TX 77386 United States. This location replaced my tire finally after the 3rd visit to this location, but not before causing damage to the rim. On my first visit 9/2/22, I waited 1.5 hrs, Manager ** was sitting at his desk in the garage blasting his music, totally unprofessional. Shane fixed my flat, balanced rotated my tires and completed my lifetime alignment I purchased 4 years ago. I parked my truck for the holiday weekend. On my way to work 9/6/22, the same fixed flat tire was now 10 psi low again. I lost $$ having to go into work late having to address a flat that should’ve been fixed right the first time.
I went back to this location and ** told me they were short handed and the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour.. He went to lunch and I sat for 30 minutes while Shane answered phones, realizing this was a waste of time and costing me $$ to wait around for nothing to happen, I had Shane top of my air and told him I’d return the following day.
9/7/22 I returned a 3rd time to get the same tire fixed and was told the wait would be another 1.5 hrs. Waited then ** advised the flat repair that Shane completed 9/2/22 didn’t take and tried to upsell me a better tire mismatching my set for $281 approximately. When I asked why they couldn’t just replace with the same tire. ** told me they were out of stock. Out of stock like discontinued? Then ** said he could get one from another store to mount or go to that other store and get in line again. I agreed to keep my place in line and have ** get the tire and put it on at this location. I paid $181 with warranty. I still waited 3 hours. Upon getting home, I observed fresh damage and deep scratches to the powder coating of my rim that had the tire replaced. By then, Firestone was already closed so I worked my shift and called back the following morning 9/8/22 and advised **.
I showed up at 0115 pm and informed manager ** of the damage his tech did to my rim while replacing my tire and the first words out his mouth was, “I (manager) make no promises”. Make no promises!!! You didn’t even look at the damage in question and based on ** comment, I knew he was not going to do anything about this except give me a bunch of lips service. ** said he asked his tech and he said he didn’t do the damage. Period point blank. Then ** put a socket on an impact wrench and clearly it the tool mark matched up to my damaged rim. Then ** changed the angle and said there was no reason for the tech to cause my rim damage because the lug nuts were towards the center of rim. Then ** says it may have happened when I left and now I brought it back to put it on Firestone.
Conveniently ** was off so he couldn’t attest that the rim wasn’t damaged the previous two visits to fix this same problem. ** also held onto the fact his tech denied causing damage. At that point, I was done…FIRESTONE GOT ME!!! So if customers do not babysit, take pictures before and thoroughly inspect their vehicle in the area Firestone techs were working in rain or shine BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN GEAR, ** makes no promises. WHO DOES THAT?
You are ** because in spite of all the mottos and promise Firestone has displayed in their store, it means absolutely nothing as they have demonstrated how ** handled this whole tire fix with the rework, going to lunch instead of hanging back and letting Shane make a second attempt to fix what I waited 1.5 hrs for on my first visit and lost money showing up late for work. In 2014 I had a flat in my previous vehicle and Discount tire performed the task, I left but then noticed the damage, came back the next day and Discount tire replaced my rim no questions asked. For convenience, I started purchasing my tires with Firestone so the tires and alignment could all be done at one time.
In the past 8 years since, I have purchased 5 sets of tires from Firestone for 3 different cars. After being treated this way by MAKE NO PROMISES **, Firestone has made their last dollar off of me and my family. I will be going back to Discount. NO NEED TO CONTACT ME **! You’ve already wasted 3 days of my time and costed me money for a tire/rim that should’ve been fixed right the first time if you dunked it in water to confirm it was holding air. Enjoy your lunch ** while us customers sit and wait for nothing to happen. Insulted.

Both Eddie and Guillermo went home and Anne ** sales teammate was unaware of my appointment and said that my car would not be ready by 6pm. She asked who I talked to (frustrating) and I explained I have been waiting 1 hr and half to replace 2 front tires. Anne was playing on her phone and seem uninterested of my problem since she didn't make the appointment. I finally asked for information to file a formal complaint only to have Anne look on the internet on her phone for the answer to that question. Horrible customer service. Horrible sloppy communication at this Fresno store in Shaw. I will be contacting more people if I don't get a formal apology.

Big Al at the front desk has helped me tremendously with my car time and time again. They continue to give the best service and are always helpful. Also took my girlfriends car into the shop and they were just as helpful as before! Thanks for all the help!

Tire Sales Associate Meagan completely failed scheduling this repair for Wednesday, June 5th 2019 after I was there on Saturday, June 1st to learn that my expansion valve needed to be replaced. She told me I'd be out the door by 9:00 AM. I didn't leave until 10:10 AM. The Service Manager, Joey, was equally awful. He was very rude and inconsiderate of my situation and suggested he stop the AC recharge to accommodate Meagan's misgivings. $400 later my AC still is not repaired after Meagan ran an AC system check that suggested the expansion valve would correct the problem. I have always had positive experiences at Store #17388 Managed by JAMES ** prior to this disaster. Kris ** is the only reason I continue to use Firestone. I'd like my AC fixed but clearly you lack the personnel at this location in Gastonia NC to get it done. I'd like to know how this will be resolved!

A year ago in February of 2018 I took my 2012 Chevy Sonic to Firestone in Oak Park, IL for head gasket service because the coolant was mixing with oil. It's was finished and ready first week of March. Within weeks later while driving my car I notice smoke coming from the hood. Now, I had taken it back and was told it was some piece they had replaced. I took it back three more times for the same issue. On the fourth time I dropped the car off in the middle of October. Consistently telling them I need my car, this is how I get to work and take my son to school.
Finally after three weeks I was offered a rental. I called, asked do I need to add my insurance, I was told no. Now November is almost over I get a call saying my car is ready. As I walk up my daughter and I noticed right away. Damage to the driver from of my car with red paint. Before I received a call from the mechanic, my fiance called telling me, he saw my car going down Chicago Ave. in Oak Park. I said they just called saying my car was ready. After having a heated argument with Victor the manager. He told me to get an estimated from down the street bump city.
I made an appointment, took the car for the estimate. I gave him the paperwork and I was suppose to hear back from a Mike -- no response. It's April. Car coolant is still mixing and I was told three times this issue was fixed. Not only not having a car. I have a two hundred bill from Enterprise for the insurance. I made a claim and the claims department only respond twice via email. I been calling, leaving voicemails for the claims rep -- no response. I called the supervisor who is out on leave. Said he will be back after June 14. It now 11 am on June 17, 2019. No response. I'm about to lose my job because I can't get to work. I have a 8th grader who is doing an excellent job and graduate this week. We to get on the bus and I can't celebrate him. Because I can't get to work, as much. It seems like they take things and brush then off. I'm so disappointed and very stressed at this point.

I took my 2016 Impala in to a Firestone location in Rock Hill, SC due to a tire issue. I purchased my tires there last year. Not even 24 hours later I total lost my car. I heard a noise coming from my driver front tire. The next thing I know I'm wrecking my car. Due to being hit in the face with the airbag and hitting my head on the steering wheel I passed out. The next thing I remembered was a police officer knocking on my car window asking me what happened. I stated to him that the last thing I remembered before wrecking is hearing a noise coming from my drivers tire. Upon me getting out my car the front driver tire was all the way off the rim.
I wrote Firestone a letter and sent them pictures. A lady by the name of Jennifer called me. I gave her my insurance adjusters information. She contacted them. Then I gets a phone call from her again basically telling me that it will be my job to get the tires from the insurance company's tow yard and ship them to her. The insurance adjuster told her in order for the tires and rims to be removed off the car that it’s Firestone's responsibility to put another tire on there. I asked Jennifer could I speak with her manager. She said they was out of the office until Friday June 14, 2019. Jennifer was very nasty and talked to me over the phone as if I was a dummy and that the wreck was my fault.
Now I have never been involved in a wreck before in my life, no traffic violations or anything. This wreck could have killed me and others. I guess in order for someone to do something I'm need to contact a attorney so that they can intervene by Friday because the car is suppose to go to an auction. If I could rate Firestone a negative 100 I would because my kids could have been faced with growing up without a mother due to this wreck.

Stopped by the Rio Rancho, NM location off of Southern. Didn’t get an inspection nor a price, was only told if I required service I would need to leave my car until 1PM. I was there at 8 AM. Representative was rude, lacked empathy, and for a potential first time customer, he ensured I will never think about giving my hard earned money to Firestone. Company needs to enforce professionalism, and standard courtesy. I don’t care about your budgets or staffing issues. PERIOD. Competitors was able to provide inspection, quote, and service completed by 10AM.

I purchased a set of 4 Firestone tires for my 2006 Impala. Will never buy this brand tire again, the horrible hum in the passenger compartment from tire noise makes road trips very unpleasant and until they address this issue, never will I buy another set of Firestone tires again!

I went into the Firestone in Warwick, RI on Post Rd. I was told the tires part of promotion I wanted was no longer in stock because they were being discontinued. Mike told me he would upgrade me to the next set of tires and I would still receive the buy 3 get the 4th free promotion. I was charged for all 4 tires! I didn't realize until going over the math in my head while waiting. I let this go because it was partially my fault for not realizing sooner.
While waiting for my car I decided to look up the reviews. When I saw multiple customers with the same scenario I knew I was being scammed. This is when Mike comes over to me to tell me that they broke my lock key. At this point I was furious because I saw this too in the reviews. He tried to reassure me that this happens all of the time and that I would have to purchase a new key from them and until they have to purchase regular lug nuts for my tires. I told him I wasn't paying for any of it when it was their mistake. He then proceeded to tell me not to worry that Firestone would take care of it.
I left that day being told I would receive a phone call when they could get a hold of someone at Volkswagen, and would be told when to pick it up. Almost two months went by and I heard nothing. Finally went to the same store a week ago and was told Mike wasn't in and that they didn't see any notes about a tire lock key set. So again I was told I would be called the following day once someone spoke with Mike. Here we are a week later and I have heard nothing. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of integrity of this company and its employees! It is one thing to be a good salesman and to make your commission off of honesty, but it is a completely different thing when you lie and deceive! This was my first time going to Firestone and my last!
