Do NOT get a Chevy Malibu. Even if it is a new model. There have been multiple reports of the service ESC coming on and little to no answers. I see so many complaints and people coming together to find answers but not many solutions. There are Chevy dealerships that are baffled by what could be the problem. My car has been getting “fixed” for 2 weeks and the longest I’ve seen was 3 months trying to find an answer. The only option is to get rid of it.

My email response to the email I just received asking if my experience was a "10". I purchased a 24 Chevy Colorado LT on 10/25/2024. I should have checked before we drove almost 200 miles to pick it up on a Friday night. It is a beautiful truck but it did not come with cruise control. We did not realize that until we headed home on the interstate. I assumed that it had it. I knew that it did not have a driver power seat, or an EZ Lift tailgate. Even though my 2019 Basic Canyon came with all three options. Make sure that your new chevy vehicle has all of the "options" before you buy it. The dealership paid for half of the cost to install aftermarket cruise control.

It was not a '10" because I assumed that it had cruise control. Yes, you paid for half of the aftermarket installation, but it is not the same as having it on the steering wheel. Also, the tailgate without Ez Lift or whatever you call it is not good on this nice of a truck. My last basic truck had cruise, power seat, and the EZ Lift tailgate on it.

I have since added the cruise, driver seat riser, and am working on a strut for the tailgate. The DeeZee for the pre-2023 does not work. I have a company working with me on one for the generation three. This tailgate is very heavy to lower. All of that being said, it was not a "10". I will verify everything the next time I purchase any new vehicle. I have not checked for "cruise" for a long time on a new vehicle. I guess that I should check for power brakes.

I wouldn’t recommend buying an Chevy or GMC product. We currently have a Chevy Silverado with a faulty valve body. Not only did they stop making that part due to it being faulty.. with no recall; but now the new ones are in a national back order. Unfortunately this left us 8 weeks so far without work at the holidays. Chevy's customer service said to “contact them when we have a running vehicle.”

Purchased 2019 Chevy Silverado LT new. 106,000 miles had an engine failure requiring vehicle to be towed off the road. Diagnosis: Faulty Hydraulic lifter and scored CAM, Faulty Fuel Injector. Total Cost to repair $8500 between 2 shops. GM sells this and other models knowing that there is a higher than normal incidence of failure of the component. They apparently have a "service - bulletin" but no recall on the problem. The repair is extremely costly. There was no work-around to the problem other than fixing the vehicle or selling it as non-working vehicle. They do not disclose to the consumer this problem when selling their vehicles. I was told by the Service advisor that there are "a lot of moving parts" that can fail in the engine. The vehicle was purchased new at Jerry's Chevy in Weatherford and had all the recommended maintenance and oil changes done. Chevy offered me a $750 credit toward the repair.

If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased a 2015 Chevy Equinox and it had complete engine failure at 109,000 miles. Also, I’d like to add I was trying to get into a Chevy service department to look into the issue and they never returned my calls. I had to bring this vehicle into a private mechanic. It’s clear why Chevy didn’t want to service me. They knew it was a problem. When I called corporate they denied this was an issue. Don’t ever buy a Chevy. They lie to their customers, deny you service, and sell junk vehicles. GM should go bankrupt. Tomorrow I’m going car shopping and I will buy a Toyota.

I just yesterday went to a local GM Dealership to have my 2023 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss serviced. For an oil change and fuel filter, $285.00 the oil change was $114.00 the remainder was the fuel filter. Now mind you the truck was already on a hoist the fuel filter requires removing the canister and replacing the filter 5 minutes max. This is a total ripoff. This is the thank you for being a loyal Chevrolet customer. I currently own the mentioned truck and a 2021 Traverse RS. My next vehicle will be a Toyota.

(Purchased at 53k miles I've been having issues since day 1) I have a 2018 LT factory base model I never knew existed until I compared my car to my dad's 2018 LT Malibu (same trim big difference)his car was equipped with things my car didn't have! (a different set of fancier factory rims, remote start, sunroof, leather seats, heated seats! Even though my car didn't have all the bells and whistles I was still very pleased with my car until the craziness started happening out of nowhere. 1st thing I noticed was whenever I would open the trunk the radio would come on out of nowhere no one would be in the car the car wasn't cranked at all nor did I even unlock the car that creeped me out!!

The 2nd thing my battery died one day which made every major code for the car to go off on the dashboard from two keys detected, the anti theft mode and so much more started triggering from a freaking battery I replaced the battery. Then one day out of nowhere this white smoke came from the exhaust pipe for like a day or 2 every now and then and it went on for like 2weeks but not everyday during those 2weeks only when I cranked the car and let it idle then it vanished and hasn't returned since. Then I kept having battery issues I've had to replace my fuel pump 3xs when the issue was never the fuel pump but that's what the car coded.

The car will randomly cut off for no reason and stall to crank for days and magically out of nowhere after a week of sitting it will crank right up again like nothing never happened. The car will jump to battery active safe mode for no reason. The car went into reduce power mode several times and completely cut off while I'm driving I've had so many near death scares from about to be in a car accident because of it. I have problems with the seat belts from time to time. The car will shake and Sutter real bad when it randomly doesn't want to crank, and it's not my starter or alternator.

I've had them checked several times. When I'm driving and press on the brakes sometimes, when making a complete stop the car still slowly moves. The pedals does some type of hydraulic foolishness and shakes and makes a weird noise. The check engine light would randomly come on out of nowhere and then goes away by itself the my headlights and tail lights and tag lights will short out randomly and come back on whenever it feels like it. When driving my car will stall sometimes before it can take off properly. No mechanic can properly diagnosis the problems because the check engine light won't come on to do so I'm so stressed about my car

I've been calling the manufacturers for years about this car and here's the kicker recently I received a recall email for 2018 malibus and all the same issues but when I call the manufacturer my car wasn't even on the freaking list but car has been having all the issues that's on the recall list. I was told that my issues are an out of pocket cost!! But my car is basically having all manufacturer's issues I don't understand this nonsense at all

Husband drives a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado. Worst idea ever to have only one charging port in a 4 seater. I checked the user manual to make sure there weren't more that I just couldn't find, but it's true. Only one charging port in this work truck that seats 4 people. A wireless charger is not the answer. Even if it worked, it's a bad choice and doesn't hold a candle to having multiple charging ports. We've been on several road trips and one of us had a dead phone or low battery the whole time. I couldn't imagine having a third or 4th passenger who also need a charge..or having to use multiple devices. My husband says it's a nightmare trying to keep them charged when he's working. This is so irresponsible! I honestly can't believe chevrolet would make that decision. Chevrolet, a product by GM, thought it would be a good idea to make a truck in 2024 with only 1 charging port? Unbelievable.

Then- the next worst thing about this truck is that back seat passengers can not open the doors from the inside. There is no child lock button to free them, either. If you're in the back seat, you either have to be let out or jump into the front seat to get out. What is that about? Why would this ever happen? Are you pro kidnapping? It's disturbing that your designers couldn't think to add an escape feature. I don't even like the child lock feature but this is going way too far and I would think that it's even dangerous.

I won't be surprised at all to hear of some huge liability lawsuits by people who couldn't escape injury or death because they were trapped. Seiously, GM, these are rookie mistakes that I would never expect from such a large reputable company. The truck drives great, is great on gas, and the comfortable seats are better than most, but your competitors offer similar quality while being considerate of our need to freely exit through all doors and to charge multiple devices. So why would anyone buy a Chevy?

In the beginning of April the engine blew while he was driving. A rod blew in the engine and put a hole in the engine. The whole engine had to be replaced. To make a long story even longer that was April 12th. Chevy agreed to buy back his vehicle at full asking price minus 1,700 miles. Not sure what that meant and either did they.

I kid you not I just got the letter today. It took 5 months to just get the offer letter. They were offering me my down payment back and that's it. I said you made me make my car payment for 5 months, plus insurance and all you're going to give me back in my down payment? Well if you don't like it you can decline the offer and go back to the BBB. This is a billion dollar corporation and this is how they treat their customer with a Lemon they sold me for my 16 year old. They should have at the least reimbursed me for the 5 payments I made for a car that was in their garage.

I wanted to share my awful experience with customer service and how horribly I was treated after purchasing a BRAND NEW 2024 Chevy Trax. Less than a week after buying this brand new car the function of opening the trunk had stopped working. It was an electrical malfunction, no one could access the trunk. I had 5 Chevrolet workers all at the same time trying to figure it out. There was no emergency latch, nothing.

Well they ordered a part and had said they will try fixing by replacing the part. After reaching out after 2 months of waiting for the part to come in they had “heard nothing”. I was told it would be fixed in 3 months max. After 6, close to 7 months the part finally came in. And no one reached out to me throughout the whole process to let me know what was going on. The WORST communication I have ever experienced. I later on dealt with customer service because I wasn’t satisfied with how I was treated and it took another 6 MONTHS to receive points after being declined many times.

They are a SELFISH COMPANY that doesn’t care about their customers. It is not fair how much time and stress that I was put through. To not be granted any sort of reasonable reimbursement for those 6 months I was unable to use my vehicle. And the quality of their vehicles and not great either. After buying a brand new car, having technical problems. And not to mention there was a recall on it 3 months after they were sold. Not satisfied, my family has purchased cars from them for years now. But I NO LONGER recommend them and I will continue to share my experience with everyone I know before they decide to do business with this AWFUL company.

I took the car for a test drive a week before I took delivery and instantly fell in love with it. It was exactly what I was looking for. Let me explain: I'm retired and not looking for some supercharged sports car that's a ticket magnet. I wanted something in a small SUV that had me sitting high off the ground so as not to be blinded by every small truck at night. I have never owned a car that was better to drive at night.

I wanted all the safety features such as blind spot detection, cross traffic and pedestrian detection as well as emergency braking. I also wanted hands free calling and voice commands. Not to mention creatures features such as comfortable seats, auto dimming mirrors and comfortable instrument panel. I can go on with all sorts of stuff but I'm guessing you get the idea. The LT I bought has all that and much more. I would never expected an electric seat with adjustable lumbar support, climate control, and adaptive cruise control. Got all that and still more. I can go on. But try one yourself. Don't listen to professional car reviewers. For the price, I don't think you'll find a better deal.

First I'd like to say that the initial sales experience with Jerry was wonderful. I showed up, excited to test drive a 2024 Chevy 2500 HD. I notified him a few days later that I wanted to purchase this truck and came in a few days later to make the deal and pick it up. I did the paperwork and made the deal and all was fine. When we did a walk around the truck we found that the truck I had test drove and told them I would purchase had been sold but that there duplicate version of that truck and that I had purchased the duplicate truck. I guess I should have picked up on the switch but the Jerry didn't tell me any of this until the deal was signed.

Upon inspection, I found that a headlight was broken and that the paint had been gauged. About a 1"-2" gouge. I was told by Jerry that they would take care of it and it would be as good as new. They gave me another new truck to drive, while I waited for my truck to be repaired. I finally get the truck back, the light cover and the gauge are repaired but there is white overspray or compound spray all over my BLACK truck. I said something to Jerry and he had me come back in with my truck to have it repaired. Unfortunately, they don't have a body shop so they hired a mobile company to come fix the issue.

Without stringing this out, I came back 3 times, same mobile repair guy, and the issue got worse instead of better. It appears that there was overspray and compound splashed all over my truck. All over the hood, the grill, the bumper, inside the grill. Remember, this was a broken headlight and 1"-2" gouge, yet the entire front of my truck had white spray all over it. The last time I was in for them to repair it I stood there with Jerry and the repairman and had to point out everything. When I pointed out the clumps of compound and spray inside and on the grill they both just said we can't get it. I said this isn't right, I bought a brand new truck and I need it to look like a brand new truck. Jerry said, "Well the only way to get to that is take apart the front end and we aren't going to do that."

I called a few more times after Jerry said he would talk to management about what they could do and I never heard back from him. I told him I would take it somewhere that could fix it and they could take care of the bill but he never replied. I even went to corporate and complained and they said they would have someone, not from the dealership, call me back. No phone call or email was ever received. To this day, my truck grill still has spots stained on the grill and compound goop stuck in unreachable spots of the grill area.

This is unacceptable. I bought a new truck, I want it to look like a new truck when I drive it off the lot. I understand that accidents happen during shipment and things get broken. I was ok with them fixing everything. But, my truck was not given back to me in new shape as they promised. I spent $65,000 on a NEW truck. I expect a new truck when I drive it off the lot. If it's not, I expect the repairs to make it new and for the salesman and the dealership to uphold their promise of making the truck as good as new. I expect when a customer complains the dealership will take care of the issue. I expect that when I complain to corporate, they will hold the dealership accountable.

I will not recommend this dealership or Chevy to any friends or colleagues in the future nor will I ever purchase a Chevy again. I can not believe that this was not handled differently and that I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for asking, repeatedly, to have my truck restored to new condition. Stay away from Chevy, Autonation, and especially this dealership in Laurel, MD.

I am writing this review. I'm not giving General Motors any stars as they do deserve any. I have a 2019 Chevy Sonic. I bought it from JBA Chevrolet at 11 miles on it. I bought it in May of 2019, January of 2020. It was in the shop for cooling issue of 2022. It was in the shop for a cooling system October of 2023. It was in the shop for a cooling system and just here in January of 2024 it was in the shop for a cooling issue! Since I have had the car the water pump has been replaced. The reservoir has been replaced twice and not to mention other issues with the cooling system. No heat everything else. So I open the complaint against the business bureau with general motors. Got a phone call today from a Leticia who told me pretty much I quote, "Your bumper to bumper warranty is ran out and you've exceeded the time frame to be able to bring the car back and be replaced with a new one. So any out of a pocket expenses you will have to pay for."

When I asked about a possible recall investigation she told me there was nobody to transfer to. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me there was no one to transfer to when the car went in the shop of October of 2023. It almost blew the engine. I had to pull over off the side of the road of 100 and Maryland because the car was locking up and it almost caused an accident. I explained all this to the woman on the phone today and I had gotten the same result which was, "Your bumper to bumper has ran out and anything that needs to be fixed on the car moving forward including the cooling system. You have to pay out of pocket"?

This is a serious issue that the cooling system keeps overheating. The car and general motors does not care one instance about it! All I keep being told is your warranty is over with and it's exceeded the time frame to bring the car back but the car has been in the shop every year that I've had it except for one which is which is 2021! Again, the car's been in the shop in 2020. It's been in the shop in 2022, 2023 and yet we're only a month in to 2024 and it just recently came out of the shop again, but general motors is telling me there's no reason for recall.

Trying to buy a new 2023 Chevrolet and redeem $$$ but dealership will not honor as they are afraid they won't get reimbursed. Have spoken to Reward specialists numerous times and they say I should be able to redeem but they are unwilling to put in writing to dealership. Have elevated and tried getting GM rewards management/supervision involved but they were "busy" and in a meeting and was told they'd call me back but never did. Spent thousands of $$$ on their card and can't redeem points. Whatever happened to customer service and honoring longtime customers. Be wary of Goldman Sachs and GM rewards program as earning could be worthless.

Scratches on driver side door pillar with poor attempt at covering. Radio starts playing while muted. Altimeter off by 100 feet. Theft alarm sounded with no one around vehicle while sitting In the driveway. I've had it to 3 dealers and one refused to service because I did not buy it there, one fixed the knocked sensor but did not address the body issues. (They had it for 2 days). The third could not duplicate any of the issues (they were not advised of radio issue as it was not an issue at the time). And never followed up on the body issues. (They had for 2 days as well). So right now I have a 41000 truck that I am completely disappointed in. It is scheduled for a visit with a 4th dealer this week. Hopefully they are more competent than the last 3.

Traded in a Silverado custom pickup. Rolled over $3,300 in equity and bought a 2024 Chevy Trax. They heard a "tick" from the engine which is not normal. The dealership (Salvadore Chevy in Gardner, MA.) did an engine swap authorized by GM. Everything was working fine before the engine swap. After the swap the dashboard would fail and blackout. My android cell phone would no longer connect. Dealership stated it could not be fixed. Dealership took the Trax and I had to buy another "older" vehicle. Unfortunately, they did not factor in my $3,300 equity into the new vehicle. I requested an accessory to be included and the manager stated he cannot do that! After a few trips and haggling I was able to get the $500 accessory thrown in. Also noticed the Trax was back on lot for sale with a stock number. I thought it could not be fixed. Did they repair the Trax but wanted it back to sell? Did they want to get rid of the 2023 vehicle which I had to buy.

Contacted GM about getting a $2,800 credit towards another vehicle which my wife was interested in. GM/Chevy returned the call and the woman on the phone was ecstatic to tell me that they contacted the dealership and Chevy. They will give me a $100 voucher towards future service! Really Chevy? Either GM/Chevy is really out of touch, or they were just breaking my balls. I can see why most folks are going to Toyota and other imports. Most vehicles are manufactured in Mexico anyways. So here is a company that makes billions but can only give me a $100 voucher for my $2,800 loss and a dealership that makes millions but cannot honor the loss either towards another vehicle.

We purchased a new 2023 Chevy Traverse. We thought this would be a good vehicle for our family. We owned the vehicle for only a week before all the electronics, and safety alerts on the vehicle started to glitch and not work. It did not alert on the proximity for backing or objects in front of the vehicle, even the lane assist only worked now and then. We went back to the dealership and they said we needed to contact GM directly about the issues before they could do anything. Once we contacted GM, after several tries, they kept giving us the run around and blaming the dealership and the dealership kept saying they couldn’t do anything until GM authorized it. It has been 6 weeks now that they have not assisted us and we continue to have issues, this is now a safety concern.

We purchased this vehicle due to the so called safety features and the hands free phone and guidance. Now that this is glitching it has become a safety issue. It does not alert when you are close to things in front or in back of the vehicle. Then it will alert when nothing is in the area. The contact at GM has not been helpful and said the dealership is too busy to help. I feel that we are just being brushed off now that we purchased the vehicle, so they don’t have to deal with us because they already got our money. Way too many issues with this vehicle and really bad customer service. I would not recommend GM - Chevy. Go get a Honda, they will treat you better.

TLDR: These people don’t know diesels. They lie. They mislead. They make up excuses. They play stupid. They do not care about you. They do not care about your car. You have been warned. Yes, this is a true story. And yes, everything in “” was actually told to me.

INTRO: I made the grave mistake of taking my 07.5 3500 here with a P0087 low fuel pressure code. After 4 months my truck was not only still broken, but the only improvement made on it was 2 new batteries. And a $3000 bill. I was royally screwed, lied to, misled, and the entire time and I refuse to let myself get mad or angry, even now. So, trying to see the positive in this, I have convinced myself I paid them $500 for new batteries, and $2500 for a new business model that other shops can use to deal with customers they don’t want or just blatantly hate, sometimes for no reason but in my case, because of my gorgeous physic. So here is the business model I paid $2500 to learn called “THE TYRRELL” and it goes like this:

PHASE 1: When the customer calls asking when you can get it in, tell them the end of the week. Backlogged 2 weeks? “Yeah, end of the week.” Someone stole all the cat converters in the service lot that month? “End of the week.” Don’t even want the job? “Yeah, end of the week.” The customer will be excited and tow their Duramax there at which point you enter PHASE 2.

PHASE 2: Don’t get to it for 3 weeks. The secret in this phase is every time the customer calls tell them you’d have to go look at it and you’ll call them back immediately or COB at the latest. Never do. Ever. Once you approach the 3 week mark or if the customer shows up in person, explain a convoluted bureaucratic story of how the work order for their truck was “opened then immediately closed.” No one knows why. Or how. Promise you will work on their truck next day so they will leave. Don’t touch for another week and move onto PHASE 3.

PHASE 3: Batteries. Convince them first thing you need to do is replace batteries. Both. Fuel problem? “Needs batteries – Can’t diagnose it without batteries.” Rear-end collision? Batteries. Broken windshield? Batteries. At this point, over a month of waiting for some sort of news or progress the customer will be so worn down they will just have you do it and justify it to themselves with something like “I was going to do that later this year anyway”. Congrats on your easy $500 – you may move onto PHASE 4.

PHASE 4: Replace the most expensive part you can find. Oh, the customer already replaced it? Re-replace it. But wait-ask for proof! If they show you proof just find an excuse that it wasn’t good enough, such as “You got this from O’Reilly” or “This isn’t an OEM replacement part” or “No remanufactured part works”. Or all 3. The key here is to ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to do any other work or diagnostics on the vehicle until they consent to it. The customer – after 6 weeks – will be so worn down and desperate for their vehicle they will have no choice but to authorize work. Move onto PHASE 5.

PHASE 5: Wait for parts. 2 weeks. At least. Stretch it to 3 if you want. Who cares.

PHASE 6: Take apart EVERYTHING! When replacing an injection pump do you need to take out the Y bridge? No. But do it anyway. Does the cab need to come off? No, but do it anyway. Front bumper? Front grille? Parking brake? No. No. No. But do it anyway. More hours to bill. Also, hook up the fuel lines backwards, can’t risk it actually fixing it.

PHASE 8: Wait, what about phase 7??? Who cares, the customer is an idiot and doesn’t know any better. This is THE TYRRELL business model, we do what we want. Move onto PHASE 9.

PHASE 9: Blame someone else. Uh oh, that part didn’t fix the problem? Like the customer tried to tell you? Well God forbid you tell them they were right, blame someone else. “That truck had an aftermarket part on it.” “Big GM told us to and they are stumped on it like we are.” “That was the previous Service manager, not me.” Repeat PHASES 4-9 as needed until the customer begs for their truck back, at which point move onto PHASE 10.

PHASE 10: The bill. Bill the customer whatever you want. You deserve it! $200 core charge, slap it on “it's non-refundable, and no you don’t keep the part either, it’s company policy.” At this point, you may also insult the customer and their vehicle however you want in the comments. Go ahead, call it “a hack job” and “probably wouldn’t run properly after previous repairs.” The customer probably won’t read that or mind, in fact, we believe the customer probably can’t read at all – they’re the customer!

BONUS PHASE! At any point if the customer ever wants to just trade in their truck on a new one offer them $500 for it. Yeah, only two 0’s. Five hundred. What? The part that’s currently getting put on is $950? Oh well, $500. Oh, we just put $500 worth of batteries on it? Oh well, $500. Screw them, it’s just the customer. Who cares. Besides, we don’t have any 1-ton trucks on the lot anyway.

TO THE DIESEL “TECH”: If you don’t know what you are doing, just stop. Save yourself, the dealer, and the customer the trouble, money, and drama. I hope you stick to something you’re good at instead, like oil changes or coloring or maybe a hobby? Common rail diesel just isn’t for you, and that’s ok champ! Just leave it to real pro’s like the guys at Mr. Diesel who correctly diagnosed it as injectors, fixed your mixed-up lines, and did so in a week.

Also this car consumes oil and you have to check your oil levels once a week to be safe as I would have to add oil in between my oil change. Never does an low oil light come on. Now I am dealing with the timing chain issue that is also common in this car. I am left with no car and still owe money on it. I bought a brand-new Colorado. I was not allowed to buy a stick shift because that just is not done anymore... You can special order one but that is a lengthy and costly process. The truck also comes with a $700 theft protection device that you are forced to purchase whether you like it or not. You can refuse to buy a new truck, or you can eat it and buy the $700 piece of crap electronic device. Then I tried to install a lumber rack because the bed is super small. Immediately I found out that I could not install a lumber rack because of the wiring system. The electrical loop must be complete for the electrical system to work. Removing the antenna on the roof to use the lumber rack disables the whole electrical system. The whole truck is electrical... Now I have a jerry rigged stereo system hanging from the dash so I can listen to an iPod while I drive because the radio is inoperative.

At this point I was upset and decided to return the truck. I was confronted by 2 angry ** that threatened me with a lawsuit. Horrid people at Chevy. Now I am trying to use a trailer I just bought. The people at Chevy put on a dummy trailer hitch system so that it looks like a trailer hitch is there, but no, there is no trailer system and no electric wiring, just a dummy door. After visiting Chevy they happily told me for $1,700 they would fix that little problem. I refuse to give 1 single penny to Chevy. They installed a dummy system just to dupe the buyer and then charge $1,700 when you try to use a trailer. Horrid business practices at Chevy. Not just the truck but the lying cheating people at Chevy as well.

Chevy sells trucks with 4 doors (useless) and tiny truck beds (useless) and then prevents the buyer from using a lumber rack with the wiring system/antenna on the roof. The truck comes with radials (car tires) and no stick shifts allowed. You need to throw out 4 new radials and install LT (light truck tires). Add in a cheap and weak frame and an electrical system that does not work because you need to remove the antenna which breaks the loop and disables the whole electrical system. Bottom line is I am 15,000 miles into the worst vehicle I have ever bought and the people at Chevy are trashy as well. Do not buy from Chevy.

When we sat to discuss vehicles we found that we'd been defrauded by the initial salesman in 2019. Quick backstory (Yep, it counts). Our salesman told us that the vehicle we selected had all the bells and whistles we asked for. Hours later, when they brought our car around it didn't have the power options, liftgate, remote starter, etc. The store was closing and we spent the next several weeks calling our salesman and never hearing back. After calling the manager repeatedly and not getting an answer we stopped trying and just committed to never shop at Webb Chevy again.

When we sat with Kory to get the 2022 traverse, we found that the original salesperson recorded that we got the car we asked for and returned it. That should've been enough of a sign to think twice about the decision. However, we proceeded. After several hours of credit checks and verification, we were done. Finally, the car we'd planned on 3 years earlier. Then they told us that the car wasn't there. The car we wanted was in Michigan and would be delivered in about 3 weeks. That was almost 6 months ago. And now, we're back to calling every few days. No call back from the manager. No car. We still have our old vehicle. But we're paying the higher note for the new vehicle. Webb Chevy is trash. Come to find out it needs a whole new engine. Thank God it was covered under the CPO power train warranty. However, it has been in the shop since February 16, 2022 and they say it could take up to 3 months or longer before they get an engine. At first the dealership did not want to give me a rental because they said it was not covered. So I had to find transportation for about a week. I talked with GM and a vehicle is to be provided since it was covered under warranty. So then the dealership provided me with a 2017 Chevy Cruze. It was VERY dirty and disgusting inside.

Drove this for a few days and then the dealership talked with GM and was told a vehicle is to be provided. So they provided me with a 2019 Chevy equinox, not a bad vehicle as it did have some options that my Tahoe has but not the same. Drove this to until 4/12 and they gave me another 2019 Chevy equinox but it is the plain stripped down version and does not compare to my Tahoe. Still no ETA on when they will get a engine. I pay a big monthly payment for my vehicle to SIT on the dealership lot and just waiting and waiting.

Then the vehicle that I get is not comparable to what I drive. I have filed a case with GM and they call me weekly to tell me still no ETA on when a engine will be made. You ask them any other questions and they don’t know, no help at all. I just want a engine for my vehicle so it can be replaced and I can get my vehicle back and drive. I have had many other issues with this vehicle. Once my vehicle gets repaired, I will not be purchasing another GM vehicle.

The day prior I was working on a vehicle so I had my toolbox, a brand new can of carb cleaner in my trunk where tools should go. Well the can had hit the battery terminals and my toolbox managed to find its way on top of the can causing the spark and the contents inside the can obviously kept the flame going caught the toolbox on fire. Thank God nobody was hurt but that's a poor design.

If you're going to put a battery in a trunk as a maker of a car put it in a contained area. A box of some sort. Protect the battery from anything a person may put in their trunk. Or even have another area for storage space for your tools, jumper cables, tow rope things like that keep the battery separated from anything that could be hazardous. That should only be common sense.

The biggest issue with this service department was the time it took for an oil change and tire rotation, 5 HOURS, but I have listed all the details below.

    Pros:
    - Service was completed

    - Service consultant was pleasant

    Cons:

    - Timing. It took this service department from 10:15 am to 3:15 pm, 5 HOURS, to complete an oil change and tire rotation. I scheduled my appointment online and was told when I arrived that it might take up to 3.5 hours. I was not happy but needed the oil change today and assumed it might include something like a basic exterior wash for the time. At the 4-hour mark, I called the service department to get an update. After a few moments of not being able to find my car, I was told to give them another 1.5 hours to complete the service.

    - Price. When scheduling my appointment online, the dealership was offering a coupon for $29.95 + tax. The only fine print, directly from the coupon, was, “Tire balancing, tax, and more than 6 quarts of oil extra.”. Since I did not see a line item for tire balancing or more than 6 quarts of oil, I asked why I was being charged $12.89 more than the coupon, before tax. I was told that prices have gone up and they could not honor the coupon price. If that is the case, the coupon needs to be removed from the website.

    - “Shuttle”. I advised the service department I would be waiting there for my car. It was at that point they offered a shuttle, via Lyft, within 10 miles of the dealership. I opted to take them up on the offer, but just across the highway to the mall. At 4.5 hours, I ended up walking back to the dealership since my phone was about to die so there was no way I would be able to coordinate the shuttle back between the dealership and Lyft. At the time of payment, I see a charge for, “Incidental Reimbursement” in the amount of $5.67. I can only assume this was for the “shuttle service” they would take care of within 10 miles.

    - Lack of attention to detail. When I received the bill, I noticed a charge of just over $22 for 2 bolts. I knew I would have to pay for the bolts but remembered the conversation advising it would be around $4 and change, per bolt. I had to ask why the charge was so high before they even noticed it. Lastly, upon getting in my car, I noticed in the 5 hours they had the vehicle, no one could be bothered to reset the oil life indicator.

Bought a 3500 diesel. Was told motor and tranny would last forever, after 3000 miles brakes wore out on a Saturday. Replaced brakes and rotors with aftermarket on Saturday night so I had a vehicle for the weekend, went to dealer on Monday morning and was told brakes were not warrantied, Brakes should last longer than 3000 miles so there was obviously something wrong. Was told to get the ** out and to go to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased. Went to original dealer and was told nothing was wrong.

At 40000 miles motor started to knock. Was told it was a sensor. Replaced sensor. Still same knock. They finally take my truck in and admit the motor was bad. Gave me a loaner for a month then called to tell me they needed their loaner back because it was sold as I was rudely yelled at by general manager and was told that loaners were for a few days not for a month. They did not have a loaner to replace it so Chevy corporate told me they would send me a refund if I had rented a truck. Needless to say they took 3 months to fix my truck and after six months and numerous phone calls still have not received any money from them. Was a dedicated chevy truck guy until this whole fiasco. Never again. Truck is a complete junior $65000.

It no coincidence that owning two GM Trucks with the same 5.3 engines has failed on me. 1st 2011 Tahoe camshaft failed due to oil consumption. 2nd 2016 Truck Ticking due to the lifters went bad from the AFT. Chevrolet has bulletin not known to the public and will not fix these problems. Had I not had extended warranties I would be hit with the cost and GM known about this defects among their engines.

We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White Marsh, MD in 2018. It now has 31,000 miles on it. We drove an hour to this dealership multiple times even though we could’ve bought 1 closer to home because we had loyalty to the sales person who spent all of the time with us. There was nothing better about the price etc. With owning our own business we understand the importance of time & commission.

As of June 30th, it had 3 issues:

    1. Air conditioner was not working.
    2. Thump sound coming from under drivers side area when driving

    3. Peeling paint on an area where bumper meets side panel

We drove it out of town for the 4th of July holiday & the AC wasn’t working. I called & scheduled service on July 5 for a July 8 appointment. I explained to guy in service what the issues were & that I had tried to take it for the paint to another dealership closer to home & they advised that I would need to go to a dealership with a body shop & that Koon's had 1 since that is where I had bought the car so when I made the appointment I notified of them of all of this & requested a loaner car since it would probably be a couple of day fix if it was paint related. They said OK & transferred me to the call center to make the appointment. I mentioned many times that I expected these things to be covered under warranty. At no time did anybody say they wouldn’t be or that my car was out of warranty.

My husband takes the morning away from our business to drive the car an hour away for the services. Upon arrival at Koons, without even trying to be helpful or offering other avenues the service advisor (Charlie) was immediately snarky & couldn’t wait to tell my husband that the car was out of warranty & we would have to pay for the loaner & diagnostic fee & that any repair would be out of pocket because we were 11 days out of warranty even though mileage was low. When I made the appointment we were 3 business days out of warranty. This immediately upset us. My husband said, "Isn’t there anything you can do?" And the advisor said, "No you’ve never even used us before why would I help you." Which actually is inaccurate.

Koons repaired things on our car & did an oil change or two. However a car with 31,000 miles shouldn’t need many services so of course we hadn’t used you for anything else why would we. So here we are the first time we really need assistance after buying a very expensive car from Koons & we are treated this way. We own a business that deals with warranties and manufacturers nonstop. We have to service & warranty units that we did not install. We’ve made exceptions for customers. We always go above & beyond. We have a 5 star rating. Chevy does the same. Nobody even ever offered to try & help us or call GM or anything.

As a Cadillac owner I know the lengths that my local dealership has went through for me even though I did not buy the car through them. So I told my husband to ask for the manager & try to get the same level of service that we’ve had with our prior vehicle through Cadillac. While he did that I called Chevy. I spoke with a great advisor & received a case ID & filed my complaint. I got everything taken care of on the phone with somebody that we had not spent a dollar with. That’s customer service.

Meanwhile my husband is wasting time debating the level of customer service we deserve with your manager (Dan) after having quite the discussion with your advisor. The advisor was arrogant & unhelpful. The manager wasn’t very helpful either but at least he wasn’t that arrogant & rude. My husband drove the car back to our local dealer who picked up the case & fixed everything & helped us get it covered. Yes the dealership that we did not give the business of a car sale to was the one that ended up helping us so guess who gets our business going forward. Jeff D’Ambrosio that’s who. Koons dealership isn’t even a 1 on the scale, it’s -5. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had from a car dealer or mechanic shop anywhere.

Fraudulent sales. In late October I purchased a vehicle from Herb Easley Chevrolet in Wichita Falls. I found the car online. I talked to a salesman and we reached a deal. The deal was 3%+ interest, 300+ per month for 60 months. I was out of town. The salesman mailed me the papers to my job site. When I received them, the note was for 72 months. My wife texted the salesman and said that was not what we agreed on. We wasn’t buying the car for 72 months. The salesman stated it was a financial department mistake.

When we come to get the car, the papers will be for the 60 months. We show up to sign the papers and get the car. The financial guy had the papers printed out. I looked at them and they were correct and then I signed. They were as stated above for the 60 months. He went to put the papers in a folder and said he was out of folders, for us to go with the salesman and have him show us about the car while he found one.

After the salesman showed us the car, another salesman brought us the paperwork in the folder. I never looked at it again. I went to pay it off and the bank said the note was for 72 months. This is what I claim the dealership did. They had the 72 months paperwork, then, they printed another paper with the 60 months as well. They showed me the 60 month one. I did not calculate the 60 month and the payment to see what it totals. The totals were the same on both contracts. Like everyone else, I just paid attention to the monthly payment and amount of payments.

Once signed, they shredded the 60 month one and put the 72 month in my folder they had to go look for. This is all possible because they don’t have financial contracts that are put together. They use single page typing paper. I told the dealership I could show her exactly how they did it. She claimed their dealership would not do that. Strange that both employees somehow don’t work their anymore and they are under new management since I was in there. It’s not rare salesman come and go, but the financial guys usually stay a long while. I strongly recommend you not shopping at this dealership and I hope General Motors will investigate as well when I notify them.

I would not recommend this company. All the GM support advisors do is schedule appointments, they don't care about your concern, nor do they care to get to the bottom of the actual problem. I've had my 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV for a year and a half now and Have had lots of electronics problems. They tell me they can't use a video to fix the issue that if it's not malfunctioning at the time when it's at the dealer, they won't fix it. Of course the car comes out of its bumper to bumper warranty by mileage and the entire infotainment fails and the other issues I've complained about will finally get fixed at my extended warranty's expense and my $100 deductible.

I call to speak with a senior advisor, they don't call back, they don't call when you tell them to call and will do what they want, when they want. This is the worst car company I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I've had Hondas, Fords, VWs and Chevy and Chevy has been the worst ownership experience ever.

I come from a family that prided itself on owning Chevrolet trucks – trucks that ran for 200K+ miles. That came to an end for me today. I own a 2016 Suburban LT that's used as our primary family vehicle. At just over 64K miles, the car started to show signs of a delayed shifting between P, R, and D. It would hesitate and then jump into gear. The vehicle would also shake when on the highway and shifting between gears. The dealer first suggested re-programming the transmission and a fluid flush at a cost of $700, but the symptoms persisted. Upon further investigation by the transmission technician, I was presented with a price of $7,000 to replace the transmission with a remanufactured one.

Visibly frustrated, the dealer suggested that I could approach GM about cost sharing of the repair, but only after performing a tear down of the transmission which was another $1,500. The dealer suggested that they needed to tear down the transmission so that they could identify precisely what went wrong and then report back to GM via a software application (not person to person interaction). Also, how convenient for GM and the dealer to have my vehicle taken apart before presenting me with a cost sharing proposal. GM already knows that the transmission needs to be replaced - and after it's replaced, the broken transmission is sent back to GM to be remanufactured and sold to another dissatisfied customer whose transmission has failed because of poor mechanical craftsmanship.

After several conversations with GM's Sr. Advisor and a Supervisor, which knew very little about transmissions or repairs in general, I was told that they would not consider any cost sharing until the tear down was performed - and it was my full responsibility to pay the $1,500 for tear down. So, before even knowing the full cost of repairing the vehicle, I need to pay $2,200? GM doesn't need the transmission torn down to address my issue. The Sr. Advisor and Supervisor should have had autonomy to escalate and do what’s right – which is be highly empathetic; own the mechanical flaw in craftsmanship; problem solve with me; and tell me that they’ll pay a certain percentage of the total repair cost to replace the transmission with one that’s been remanufactured.

But, they didn’t do that; they didn’t stand by their product or their customer commitment. To me, it’s disgusting to see on GM’s website that they "pride themselves on ensuring an exceptional ownership experience”. It’s a poor product and terrible company – that’s why they reduced the power train warranty from 100K in 2015 to 60K in 2016 – and have a class action lawsuit against them on the Yukon XL (not sure why Suburban is not on here, but will investigate). Ford may not be any better, but that’s where I’m headed – and that never would have happened had GM stood by their craftsmanship issue and done everything that they could have to satisfy me as a customer.

My Chevy Colorado had been totaled for a vehicle fire, truck almost killed me. There was no apparent reason why it happened, so most likely a product defect. There is a recall on 2018 Chevy Colorado's, a fuel pump failure, which increases the cause of fire in fuel line. According to the fire report from the fire department, the cause of fire was fuel tank/fuel line. Apparently my Colorado was not part of this recall but maybe should have been based on what happened. To be sure, I wanted GM to investigate their vehicle, seeing as how it was less than 2 years old, bought brand new off the lot, only 17k miles. They stated that because my insurance company has it, that they will not look at it.

My insurance company is fully willing to let them investigate it, but that means nothing to them. They stated that I would have had to call them before my insurance company in order for them to investigate and have a claim open. To me this is less about the claim and more about the fact that the vehicle caught fire while I was driving, no apparent reason why. It also feels like they are 2 separate issues. This is a safety issue that they need to address, and their only response is "we"ll log the issue". My insurance company hasn't been much help either. If GM is producing Trucks that are a hazard on the road, they need to do something about it rather than "log the issue". No further efforts have been made on their part to help me, I have not been treated like a loyal customer but rather a nuisance and just a number. Worst customer experience ever.

I was informed they will not replace it even though there is no evidence of impact or damage to the window to warrant the window to shatter.

The Jenner's repair and parts manager told me the side and back windows are designed to shatter with any impact for safety reasons! He then proceeded to inform me that a small sliver of porcelain dropping on the window could cause it to shatter. He refused to contact Chevrolet to enquire if this will be covered, or report the incident. Told me that would be up to me to report this. So I am assume if this is how Chevy designs their windows to shatter with minimal impact, I don't think I would feel safe placing a toddler in the car in case they decided to tap on the windows and have it shatter in their hand. Initially I was accepting of the poor ride and comfort of the Bolt (poor suspension and uncomfortable seats), but I don't think I would recommend this vehicle to my friends or family. At any given time there's a good chance your Volt's little gas engine will start howling up like crazy, you will drive max 20 mph and sit (roll) and wait until the car gets over his "propulsion power reduced" moment... what can be very inconvenient if not dangerous on a freeway or driving up a hill. You might give it to your dealer for "software updates", as this is the only service this car needs :) But the problem will come back. Also the initial 45 miles on a battery will get less and less, mine is currently 27. How much that all annoyed me? I bought my Mercedes CLS back and now we have 2 cars that could not be any more different form each other. Guess which one I drive most....

The purchase of this SUV was record-breaking in that it was my first SUV and the newest vehicle I had ever owned. Within a year and a half I learned that GM believes that the engines in their vehicles can only be expected to last 5 years and that it is too bad, so sad that the engine in my vehicle stopped working. Anyone I spoke to found it inconceivable that a properly serviced vehicle would need to have the engine replaced at less than 100K miles.

GM believes that since I did not have one of their dealers handle the repairs for my vehicles, there is nothing they can do as only their dealership can accurately diagnosis the cause of the engine failure and due to the age of the vehicle (barely 6 years old) it is solely my responsibility. The non-GM explanation as to the cause of the engine needing to be replaced was that the number one cylinder had grenaded damaging the electrode on spark plug.

I drive it every second day to go shopping etc. One Monday morning the car wouldn’t start. On the third Roadside Assistance call I had the car towed back to the dealership. They checked everything and told me the battery was dead and I needed a new one. I asked how that was even possible with a new car. They advised me that if I wanted the battery to stay charged I would have to drive it about an hour every second day. I’m retired! I don’t need to drive an hour anywhere!

So much for economical. So they didn’t have the required battery. They ordered one from the USA which got sent to Toronto instead of Winnipeg, or so they told me. By day ten they were telling me that they couldn’t track the battery so they really had no idea where it was. Still waiting! It has lots of features in it like electric start, an app that can find you car and lock it remotely. It’s great on gas mileage and can really pack a lot in it because the seats lay down flat. I like there is an actual spare tire and so many air bags. The seats are very comfortable even for long drives. Also there are plenty of cup holders for all the drinks you just have to have to go on a drive. I think the Trax would be a bit small for a family with teenagers. Our kids are grown so it’s not an issue for us.

Many other brands offer roadside towing and as long as it goes to a branded dealership for service, they don't care if it's more than 25 miles, of course I don't expect them to tow it 500 miles but when the dealership within 25 miles says that they cannot take the vehicle for service before a week, I think it's a valid reason to use a dealership which is 13 miles more than 25, and roadside should cover, it's one of the reasons ill never buy chevy again, on top of the reason that the water pump blew after 16 months and less than 20k miles.

I currently have a 2004 Silverado 1500, a "dream" of many years. Aside from the general maintenance of any vehicle (breaks and the likes) this truck is AMAZING! I give, as an example: about a year ago, I was about 50 miles from home when the coolant line sprung a leak! I'd noticed a small puddle under the vehicle when I came out of the store where I'd been shopping, but thought it was condensation. On the drive back, through some rather rural area, I noticed a slight increase on the temperature gauge so I drove with care not to over-exert the engine. Taking the truck immediately to the mechanic, they opened the reservoir for the coolant to find it completely dry!

Repairs were made and subsequently I learned that these vehicles have a "protection" against over-heating! It saved my day, my purchases, my sanity, to be sure. This truck, even at its age, has been a blessing, helping me move house, hauling brush and wood, it's amazing in snow, and I live in a mountainous region in Northern New York state where Winters can be quite brutal. As for the rating given about the cost, quite honestly, I find the cost of motor vehicles these days to be rather unreasonable over all. But even for the basic Silverado, I would say, considering the peace of mind and safety, I've experienced with mine, the price is "reasonable." Could be better (lower of course), but as is: perfectly reasonable. I recommend the model to everybody, even those who think trucks are out of their personal style. Drive one, you'll be stuck forever.

Driving a 2019 Chevrolet Impala has been a mixed experience. It had a very smooth and comfortable ride. The seat, which appeared to be ergonomically designed, actually hurt my back after a few minutes. The transmission generally was efficient and smooth, but without warning occasionally jerked or failed to accelerate sufficiently from a stop. The arm rest on the console was too high and my elbow hit it every time I made a right turn. And the driver's side mirror was huge and blocked my forward vision when I made a left turn. Overall a seemingly good car that I'll never buy.

Took it into my local Chevy dealership because of a transmission shudder and whine right before shifting to the next gear. Torque converter is failing sending metal shavings through my transmission and destroying it. A bill of greater than 5500 for this transmission is absurd but not as crazy as a 3 year old transmission failing. Must be why they lowered the drivetrain warranty from 100k to only 60k. Have been a Chevy guy all my life, now looking into other brands due to their lack of standing behind a crap product.

Too bad GM killed this car. 2018 is the last year for the 6 speed manual. Not even available in the 2019, and now, GM thought it was a great marketing move to kill all of their cars that normal people can afford. My car has been very reliable, and on a recent Buffalo to Chicago trip, averaged nearly 50 MPG. It also has a great deal of useable power and torque with the manual box. A 1.3 litre turbo 4 is not the slug you might expect. I don't want an SUV or truck of ANY kind. I want a car that's fun to drive and handles well. That's why GM is getting it back in a week when my lease is up - and isn't leasing me anything else. After leasing me my last 4 cars. I've replaced it with a 21 year old car in excellent condition, which pays for itself in about a year of not making payments. Now I can buy something really fun instead - another motorcycle!

I purchased a brand new Corvette SR in June of 2019. This is a body style that has been in production for 5 years. In September, my car was hit and required body work including a headlight. I found a body shop at a dealership and confirmed all parts were available for the repair. After confirming this, the car arrived at the shop less than 3 hours later on Oct 3. The service adviser committed completion by Oct 23. I got my car a month later (11/22) due to the headlight availability. All along, NO information was available until about a week prior to completion indicating "The order (Headlight) was being processed" Whatever that means. Once the headlight did arrive, the car was ready for pickup within two days. When a virtually new car is tied up for a month for something that is totally within Chevrolet's control, they need to accept responsibility. Here is where they broke down in this long story.

    1) Parts availability information is inaccurate. The parts manager can see inventory available but when he goes to request it, the item is reserved. Visibility of a reserve is a very basic inventory function.
    2) Delivery - When a backorder does occur, available to promise showing an anticipated delivery should be the norm rather than leaving a customer guessing.
    3) Allocation - They would move parts to build new cars before covering service requirements. Does this make sense? Build a new car knowing full well you cannot keep it roadworthy due to material shortages.

    4) Customer Service - I called in my complaint on 11/21. I have had multiple contacts since then til now 12/3. Today they called and left no message. Three minutes later I get an email indicating they have been unable to contact me. I called back less than an hour later and left a message. No replay as of this writing. They simply try to wear you down rather than step up and take responsibility for a problem of their creation.

I absolutely cannot recommend Chevrolet as a go to source for a luxury or performance vehicle until they are prepared to manage the supply chain better in both supply and information. And provide a customer service department that actually is expected and empowered to do something about these problems.

Being a Chevy family for years I am very disappointed to find out that they hide problems with their vehicles from their customers. They can send out flyers to purchase new car mats or upgrades for cars, yet when a part is bad on their vehicles are bad. On our Trax our pvc valve cover went bad and Chevy had known that on the 2013-2017 Trax, Sonic and Cruise this part had been malfunctioning. It would have been under warranty from my dealership had I know when I was home to take it in.

My warranty is not valid anywhere but there. Of course they never told me that either. My family decided to see our son who is in the Army 3.5 hours from our home. Car was not covered. We were stranded for 3 days because the strike caused a lack of parts throughout the country. Dealerships were closed because it was a weekend so we went to a Pep Boys. Chevy acknowledges this is an issue but refuse to reimburse me because I didn't go to a dealership in the town we were stranded in. Which by the way couldn't find the part we needed a Kia dealer had to find it! We will be trading in our Chevys by the end of the year and getting a different brand who believes in customer service not just making a buck!

In the last 4 months I purchased 2 used Chevy Volts with low miles and excellent condition. They replaced two Toyota Prius my wife and I owned. We’ve been Prius owners for 12 years, and have had a great experience with Toyota, but the Volt appealed to us for its much greater battery capacity as well as how it drives. What I didn’t anticipate was a far worse repair experience than I’ve ever had with any car in the last 40 years, and the fault is with Chevy and GM, not the dealer, for not having a commonly failing part available for the repair. It’s been 3 weeks now waiting for the part. In the meantime over many calls to GM for help, they have been absolutely awful. Day after day they apologize but they can’t tell you when the part will arrive, so I don’t know when I’ll get my car back.

Three weeks after buying the second Volt, I had a problem starting it. I eventually got it started and drove it to the closest dealer in Arlington, MA. They told me right away it sounded like a common problem with the shifter assembly, but unfortunately the part was in backorder. Under the extended warranty I purchased, I had 6 days of a loaner car covered, so I got one and didn’t worry. A week later, the dealer still had no idea when the part would come from GM.

That’s when I called GM and opened a case with Customer Service. The call center folks are friendly and try to help but are extremely limited as far as solving any problem. They assigned me a Senior Advisor however, and that was supposed to get my case escalated. But the Advisor also couldn’t tell me when the part would arrive. They also could not offer me any coverage for a loaner car during the extended wait for the part. The Advisor resorted to reciting policy to me on this issue. On multiple occasions I have tried to reach the Advisor to share information from the dealer or ask for an update. I’ve never been able to reach her the same day or next day. It has taken 2-3 days and messages and escalations for her to respond.

Last week both the dealer and GM said the part was expected to ship that week. It didn’t. I called every day for an update and never got any sense that anyone knows anything about the part's availability. Then they said the part shipped last Friday so it should arrive that day or next day. The dealer looks for it every day but still hasn’t seen it (Tuesday). Again my calls to the Advisor, to ask about tracking the shipment, have not been returned.

After borrowing my wife’s car for a week, which left her without a car, and getting rides to work from colleagues, I rented a car yesterday. With the extended warranty already used, and GM's policy preventing them providing any coverage since the manufacturer's warranty has just passed a few months ago, I am now stuck with the rental cost, for how long I don’t know.

The dealer says there’s nothing they can do 'til the part arrives. GM customer service says there’s nothing they can do to get the part to the dealer. The people responsible to make the part and ship it are completely insulated, as are any higher level managers, since customer service has said they can’t provide me any further contacts.

I think the Volt is a great car. This mechanical issue is very minor. The car has a good reputation for reliability. But Chevy and GM can’t seem to provide a part for a common issue in the car. I’ve since heard that some Volt owners purchase and stockpile certain parts that occasionally fail, because they anticipate GM won’t be able to provide the part for repair.

At this point I’m committed to the car, but don’t think I’ll ever buy another GM product in this lifetime, based on how poorly they’ve handled this. And I recommend the same for any car buyer. A global, multi-billion $ company can’t have common repair parts available within a day or two - that is a company that deserves to go out of business. And no more government bailouts. After buying the first one several months ago I bought another. Three weeks later I had a

Reported problem: Full Charge mileage range reduction from 238 plus miles to ~156 miles. Courtesy Recall ** Loss of propulsion High Voltage Battery Without Notification. Complaint: The normal vehicle range of 238 miles is reduced 35% to 156 miles. After the courtesy recall the range was further reduced another 27% to 115 miles. GM acknowledges this reduction in range but is calling it normal. When the vehicle was delivered to Jack Evans for service, I reported the issue with decreased range. I noted that I drive ~150 miles round trip for work daily, with the decreased range I was unable to use the vehicle for the intended purpose as there was insufficient margin. I feared not being able to get home. The dealer agreed that the vehicle was reporting range of 157 miles with full charge but were unable to find any issue with the battery.

They contacted GM Technical support for advice and were provided no additional information on the problem. Sarah the Service Manager at Jack Evans told me that GM tech support advised her to report the issue on the invoice as “Customer Concern Not Reproducible” and the decreased range is due to customer driving conditions and connecting my Cellphone to the infotainment system, what I am seeing is normal. After completion of the courtesy recall the vehicle was connected to a charging station, with zero miles driven. On 50-degree day the full charge range decreased from 157 to 115 miles. The Service Manager again told me this is caused by my driving style and environmental settings. The reduction in range after the service recall happened with no changes to driving or environmental settings.

I was again advised to unplug my phone from the infotainment system as this could reduce range expectations. If I did not agree with the information presented, I should contact GM Customer Care. The dealer did not report the additional service recall related range reduction to GM Tech Support. GM Customer Care Case ** called in on 2/13/2019 was escalated to a Customer Care Manager. After receiving no further contact or status I contacted GM Customer Care on 2/21/2019. I was promised a status by end of the day. With nothing heard I again contacted GM Customer Care on 2/22/2019 only to be told I would be contacted in 2 or 3 business days. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that would also take 2 or 3 business days. I contacted GM Priority Care where I was forwarded to a Customer Care Manager. I was again told there is no problem with the vehicle.

After some time reviewing the record, we determined the information I had been providing was not being documented, such as the reduction in range after the service recall. I was also told that Jack Evans service department reported no problems with the vehicle. As noted above, Jack Evans service department told me that service code was at the direction of GM technical support. My dispute with GM Customer Care is based on GM advising Jack Evans on how to report an issue then telling me there is no problem based on what was reported by Jack Evans. Further background: I drive the vehicle ~150 miles daily, charging the vehicle every night for the next day. I drive the same path every day, my environmental settings are set for 70 degrees, heated seats and steering wheel heater set to off. From April to November my typical range exceeded the estimated range of 238 miles, more likely around 300 miles.

On the coldest day (5 degrees) with headlights on the reported range was ~185 miles, after 150 miles the system reported ~50 miles to go. The decreased range of 156 miles no longer allows me to use the vehicle for my daily work commute as intended. The further range reduction to 115 miles will not allow commuter use at all. General Motors Customer telling me the range reduction is normal when I know from experience this is a significant change from routine use is not acceptable. Usage and environmental settings are no longer an issue as I can no longer using the vehicle other than for errands. When I purchased this Chevy Bolt EV there were only two vehicle manufactures making an electric vehicle with a range above 200 miles between charges, one being Tesla, the other GM. With issues being reported and ignored by GM, there is only one remaining.

I have a 2013 Chevy Trax, recently I had trouble with losing power on a trip to the city. When I got to the city the check engine light came on. I checked the oil and it was down 3 litres. Which I bought and put in. I immediately brought the car to a trusted mechanic who informed me there is a special warranty on this, because it is a known problem, but I have to take it to a certified Chevy dealer to get it fixed. The problem is a PCV valve on the interchange cooler freezes off when temperatures go below -18. Well we live in Alberta so that’s a constant. Anyway because we took it to the other mechanic first the certified Chevy dealer refused to fix the problem stating, I can’t prove it. The ice is melted off. Never again will I buy any Chevy product, phoned their head office and more of the same runaround.

This is not acceptable. They need fix it or do something to get me a vehicle that works right. The radio been replace once. Also OnStar is a very important safety feature that needs to work.

This is a great car but the overall experience is marred by some petty greed. The car comes with the ability to remote start; check battery, location, lock unlock; etc. This all comes with a internet connection through AT&T. They want between $180 to $420 per year to keep this service active. That's absurd. My Ford provides these services free of charge. I understand that OnStar operators need to be paid but I am talking about basic tech services here. Is my car charged? When was it last driven? etc. I would love all that OnStar has to offer but I am unwilling to pay for it. Why can't Chevy provide basic informational services like Ford does for free?

While trying to leave a store, got message of “reduced steering assist drive with care”. Vehicle would not go in reverse and steering wheel would not move so it had to be towed. Vehicle was working again at dealer and Dealership couldn’t replicate issue. Had it back one day and it started doing it again so we videoed it when it wasn’t functional and it went back to dealer. It’s been in and out of shop going on 3 weeks- longer than we have even owned the vehicle. It appears there is some sort of serious electrical issue with these vehicles and we are not sure the dealer will buy it back- which is what we want. Buyer beware.

My 2019 Chevy High Country has been a nightmare. Within my 1 st week owning my High Country I began to experience transmission problems. It would shift very hard between gears 3-5 up and down. I got hold of my dealer, Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Mo, informed them of the issue, a shop foreman took a ride with me and Agreed it was not right. We set an appointment for one week out, I thought this strange to wait a week for such a serious defect, the truck got much worse during the week. I then took truck in, after 2 days I called to check on it. The dealer had not even looked at the truck, I expressed my extreme displeasure in this, my truck is my work truck and need all my tools to do my job as a home builder. I then thought it important to contact Chevy, I called customer care, they opened a case # and said a specialist would call within two days, 3 & 1/2 days later they had still not called.

In the meantime I learned the truck I traded in was still at dealership, I called them and Chevy customer care and stated I am extremely unhappy with my brand new $65,000 truck having transmission issues within the first three weeks of ownership and wanted to unwind the deal. I would buy my old truck back and give them back their lemon truck that I had purchased, Reliable Chevrolet refused to not sell the trade truck, Chevy customer care, stated they would reach out to Reliable Chevrolet and see if they can help us get this resolved. In the meantime Reliable Chevrolet finally got my truck in to service and said it needed a brand new transmission. They contacted Chevrolet and they agreed and said they were shipping a new transmission. Would take 2 to 3 days for it to arrive & another day to install it.

I called in in three days later to check and see if they had received the transmission only to find out that Chevrolet engineers had change their mind and said it needed a modulator part to work correctly. I was very displeased because as stated above they told me to continue to drive the truck for a week, it’s smoked, I could smell the transmission oil burning, and the hardness of the shifting had to be doing permanent damage to the truck. I have been a loyal customer of Chevrolet, for all of my personal truck and my company vehicles for employees have been Chevrolet’s. In the last 10 years I’ve purchased 25 brand new Chevrolet trucks.

With my experience from this 2019 Chevrolet High Country, and the way I was treated by Reliable Chevrolet Springfield Missouri, and the very poor customer service from Chevy customer care who never did call me back until after week after Reliable Chevrolet returned my truck, I will never again purchased a Chevrolet vehicle or deal with Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Missouri. My best advice is Buyer beware. My only voice With a large corporation like Chevrolet and this dealership which is very large in six states, is my buying power, they will no longer enjoy my business or have me or my company as customers, I have always spoken very highly of Chevrolet and actually argued with Ford owners about quality and service and brand loyalty, no more.

The issues was reported to GM customer service, and they assigned the issue to a very rude person, who refused to do anything about the issue. GM apparently takes no responsibility for their dealers or the products that they sell and install in their vehicles. Unfortunately, it is an old story that GM has not learned anything from the loss of US sales to foreign car companies.

I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that I purchased with 30,000 miles on it from the dealer. There was a recall on the car for the catalytic converter, saying high temperatures from the engine was melting internal components. Of course their fix was not to replace catalytic converters, but to reprogram the ECM running temperature. However they sent the recall slip to the wrong address and by the time I had gone to the dealer I already had a check engine light on, and they wanted 150 dollars to diagnose the problem. I had to get through emissions and get the light off so I went to the local Shell service station.

They informed me my catalytic was almost completely melted and malformed on the inside. I contacted Chevy and they said it needed to go to the dealer to get looked at and they would make an appointment, but after a week of no contact from them and a need for emissions so I could register my car, I brought it to Shell and had the work done. Then of course Chevy called and said there was nothing they could do because I had the work done elsewhere. Not offering catalytic converters to customers whose had melted, after acknowledging the ECM they set is causing the issue, is despicable. After spending 1000 dollars on a new car, a part that should never fail, they certainly lost a customer in me with their poor handling of this issue.

Way to go Chevy for making sure your pockets stay padded while the rest of us have a car that’s spent more money fixing it than what they paid for it! I am up to almost $2500 in repair costs and have been without a car for 6 months. I have replaced the ENTIRE PCV system. The water pump, the terminal block fuse, the starter, engine oil cooler, sensors etc has been replaced and some have been replaced numerous times. It’s horrible how this is clearly a problem from the factory and a poorly designed system but yet Chevy has no fix, swears there’s nothing wrong, will not issue a recall, and are allowed to get away with it.

Don’t get me wrong because I always have and always will drive their vehicles and I’ve had no problems to date with any of the others I’ve owned. But this one sure has left a bad taste in my mouth and highly disappointed that they don’t care about our/my loyalty to their line. I loved the car except for all the issues. Once I get it back I have no choice but to try and get rid of it before the next 50,000 miles since that’s the average they last until the PCV system starts to fail again.

I then called GM customer service to find out what they can be done. My situation, I’m from Las Vegas and I had to drive to Lander Wy to help out my mother and father. My father has to have surgery Monday. Earlier this week my mother was hospitalized and needed help to take care of my father and get him to his appointment on Monday.

I drove up to help out and on Friday the oil line failed. I have to get him to his appointment and return to my family and job. I asked GM what could be done and they told me I could get a rental but I couldn’t leave the state. Expressed the gravity of the situation and they said they would have to get with the senior supervisor but he won’t be available until Monday. Unacceptable. He then told me he would patch me through to his supervisor and put me on hold. I have been on hold for an hour and a half so far. I have only owned GM products, this will be my last.

A 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LT was advertised as $17,695 on their website and seeing that I called Kingdom Chevy and confirmed the car availability and price. They were affirmative for both. I traveled all the way to their place for 2 hours and met the representative and he said there won't be any changes in the price and $17,695 is the final price plus TTL. We did the test drive and because the price was confirmed, I accepted for their credit run to know the APR that I will receive though I have an offer from bank. I gave all the confidential information and they ran my credit check.

Now the manager comes and say, the price on the website was including some rebates and he can offer the car for $25500. Manager started asking me if I am in military or a student or a teacher, etc. How could a customer browsing through the internet know if rebates are applied or not. I was thinking $17,695 is a right price as 2019 models are already on the roads and they are trying to get rid of 2018 models and hence the price. I do not have concern on Chevrolet brand but the dealership is fooling the customers with false prices on their website.

I own a used 2004 Chevy Tracker. Up to now it’s been reliable. The body doesn’t have a spec of rust and the engine and transmission are still running strong. The issue I have is with the integrity of Chevrolet Motors. Recently while driving on the highway my left front wheel became unresponsive and the front end vibrated violently. My mechanic informed me that the front cross member/subframe had rotted out. After doing some research on the internet I discovered this is a known problem and the warranty was extended to 10 years or 150k mile.

When I contacted Chevrolet Customer Service to see if they would still honor the recall they refused because it was past the 10 year warranty. This is disturbing because it is a known and documented SAFETY defect. My realization is that Chevrolet still puts economics ahead of the safety of its drivers & passengers. So if you’re an advocate of Chevrolet please check the internet for any recalls or complaints for your vehicle model on a yearly basis because our safety appears not to be Chevrolet Motor’s priority.

I've had it for 2 1/2 years and it hasn't needed any maintenance other than the standard stuff. It still looks and feels brand new! It was love at first sight with this car. I love the lines because they give the vehicle a classy yet sporty look. The hatchback is wonderful when it comes to loading, and since it's covered, my stuff is protected from the sun AND the thieves! While I'm happy with it, I would like a bigger console storage compartment. Also, the USB plug-in is inside the glovebox, which doesn't work well for someone like me who keeps my phone charging at all times. It doesn't look pretty with that wire sticking out of my dashboard.
