Endurance has more to offer as far as what can be fixed and what can't. Making payments for my policy has been great. Working with their rep was a great experience too. I could understand what he was talking about. He explained everything.

I looked at and compared three companies. I ended up with Endurance because they explained to me the benefits. With the girl I spoke with the first time, that didn't go that well because I asked for some email or something to show me what I was buying and I never really got it. But the second time, I talked with a different person and he explained things better. He emailed me some things too. I just got Endurance and it's okay.

I talked to an Endurance salesperson and he was very informative. Before I went with them I had Guardian and with them, I didn't have the little card that has the numbers on it that goes in my wallet. I have that card with Endurance. One thing that needs to be done on their membership card and contract though is that they need to tell me what level I am. I'm preferred, which is top of the line but it doesn't say that on my contract and on my card. Other than that, the contract reads pretty well. Endurance pays for an oil change and almost routine-type maintenance.

I signed up with Endurance and I got my contract today. I went on the computer and found the $500 rewards thing that they have. I was not impressed. Originally, I told the guys, "I can't use what you're telling me it'll provide. All I can use it for is groceries. Can I use it for that?" The rep said yes. I said, "How would I do that?" He said, "You'll get a card." What I thought he meant was that there would be $250 on the card and that would cover my expense for signing up with them.
I thought, "It's time to cover the car, so let's do that." However, I called and I said, "I don't like this. I can't use what you've sent. You misrepresented this card that I was going to get." I explained why and the lady I talked with said, "We can make an adjustment there. We can make this easier on you and we can send you, after you've decided to stay with us and made your first month's payment, a debit card with $150 on it for you to use." I said, "That makes it short right now, but I guess we can do that." I haven't decided whether to take them up on it or not. I'm upset because I feel that it was misrepresented and I wonder how many other things will be misrepresented.

Endurance was the first to call me back, which was why I went with them, and I still have one more payment on my down payment to make. The little discount thing that they sent is unusable for me because there’s nothing when I’m on my way and nothing online to use it for. Other than that, the purchase was fine and smooth. The only issue I have is the waiting period before you can use it. You have to wait 30 days and 1,000 miles. If I’m paying for a service, I should be able to use it right away regardless. If my daughter drives that car and her transmission goes out today but I don’t make that 1,000 miles, it’s a waste of money.

I probably talked to at least eight different places and after doing my own research online, I narrowed it down to three. I was on Facebook and something came up on Consumer Reports and I was looking through it, and Endurance was one of the ones on my top three. I liked their presentation and the way they explained everything. The rep was reading from a script but he did very well. The second gentleman I spoke with had a smooth, calming voice.
My experience was long so it was difficult for me to purchase the protection not because of who I went with, but because I made sure I went with a reputable company that I was comfortable with. But it was easy dealing with the people from Endurance. People should shop around and know what they want and need. Endurance didn’t feel like they were trying to sell me anything. I started out with my older Cadillac that my dad bequeathed to me, and I bought Endurance. We had a few little problems with the car and Endurance was there for us all the time in order to get the vehicle repaired at the dealership. This one that we have now is a 2014 and the warranty is up on it. I bought Endurance again since I've had no problems with them. Everything has worked fine and the $100 deductible is not much. When I go in at the dealership, I go to the service manager and present to him the Endurance contract. He'd say, “Let me make a quick phone call.” He'd come back and say, “Everything's all set. I'll order the part. It'll be in tomorrow afternoon, and we'll put it in.” When the warranty on my truck is up, I’ll probably go with Endurance to get it covered also.

My claim for the alternator was covered by Endurance Auto Warranty. But when there were shop supplies and everything like that put in, I was told that Endurance wouldn't pay for it. So my bill ended up becoming $175 and then Endurance's bill was reduced to $110. I was expecting a deductible, but I wasn't expecting any extra cost on it. Work was going to be done on an alternator and I didn't understand why I had to pay for the shop supplies. Although another service was also performed, I didn't think all the 75 dollars was due to shop supplies. So at the moment, I'm in the same predicament I have been in with my previous extended warranty company. I called Endurance and I was put over to claims. That was where I understood that there was more coverage that I did not have. I thought that I was in the top tier with the coverage. But reading the contract, I saw that there were two levels and I was in the lower level.
I have a truck that I use to get myself from point A to point B all day long with the maintenance work that I do and I need dependability. I just came from another major mishap. The starter and the flywheel didn't like one another so it cost me 1500 hours before I got the extended warranty with Endurance. So this truck is getting a payment out of me no matter what. But I'd still recommend Endurance but I'd just tell people to go with the upper coverage.

Everything went fine when I purchased with Endurance. They sent me a copy of the policy. They told me I have to pay $100 a month, which is okay. They told me what my deductible would be should I utilize their services and they told me that it takes 30 days plus 100 miles of driving the car before the policy takes effect. I'm at 881 miles.
My vehicle is 11 years old. I previously had a vehicle warranty with Delta Auto and when I tried to submit a claim, they wouldn't pay for anything. When I was driving on the highway, I came off the highway and the car would shut off. I took it to the dealer. They said it was a computer issue. They wouldn't pay for that. I had a radiator which needed a part, which cost me like $800. They wouldn't pay for that. When I contacted them, they told me the car was covered from front to back. But then after I submitted the claim, they said it doesn't include any computer parts. The warranty only included things that would help the car to run. I was really annoyed because when I spoke to the agent that is not what they told me. With Endurance, I was really very comfortable. The representative was very friendly and very thorough with the presentation. So I was very comfortable with it. Otherwise, I would not have proceeded to go with the policy.

I read these glowing reviews on how easy it is to sign up for Endurance...wait until you need something repaired. I'm still in the process of working my claim, but so far it has been nothing but a headache and it would appear, a waste of money on my part. First was the receipts for oil changes, sent in 3 times each time a different excuse as to why they needed to be resent.
Then, tire modifications...the problem I'm having is a knocking in my engine not a tire issue. When the inspector went out look at my car at the repair shop it was noted I had 215/60 R16 tires, not the 205/65 R16 that came original with my car. Endurance said I had to pay a $500 modification fee because I didn't have the proper tires, my question to the agent, what does that have to do with fixing my engine problem, her answer, "it doesn't have anything to do with your issue, however you have to pay the fee in order to move the claim forward." I asked to speak with a supervisor.
Because I am without a car, after day of waiting for a supervisor to call me back, I decided to go ahead and pay the fee and argue the facts later, because as I said, I am without a car and I wanted to get the repair process going. After getting off the phone with Endurance and paying the "fee" about an hour later, I receive a call from the repair (the dealership where I purchased the car), he explains that Endurance now wants them to tear the engine down to determine what is causing the knocking, at a cost of $650. If the cause of the knocking is covered, the cost will get rolled up in the total repair cost. But I would imagine after jumping through all the hoops...
As of 4 PM on 27 Jan 2021, I still have not received a call from a supervisor to explain to me why I needed to pay a tire fee before having them move forward with fixing an issue with my engine. In the meantime, I am still without a car...if the first time the inspector went down to look at my car if he would have spent more time looking at engine and not my tires, perhaps my repairs would be under way by now. I'll keep you posted...but I'm not hopeful.

When I went online to look for a policy, Endurance's people responded back. I have done some research with some of the policies that were out there. I have taken the time to read the comments of the people who had the policy, and Endurance's was rather reputable. In talking with the lady that helped me write the policy up, she was very explicit. I asked questions regarding things that I was concerned about to make sure that they were covered and they were answered correctly.
The only thing that I was a little disappointed on was when I built the policy up, because I put policies on both of our vehicles, I had to break the down payment into two payments. One came out on the 5th of the month, and then the next one came out on the 15th. I requested that from there forward, that my payments would be taken out on the 15th. And I was under the assumption that was what we had set up. When I went to balance my checkbook last week, I was shocked that they had taken them out. It was taken out around the first part of the month. And I had not scheduled it.
Thank God I had enough money in my savings account to cover that unexpected withdrawal so I didn't go into overdraft. The rep told me even if they refunded the money, it would have taken 10 days. So, I hope that that has been clarified now that it would be taken out on the 15th of each month. Other than that, I was very satisfied. I referred Endurance to my son and he took a policy out.

I let them know it was in good condition and they just told me what they had to offer. I liked the way they weren't pushing me, and they were very pleasant and friendly. The rep at Endurance was knowledgeable. However, when I tried to get my coverage for once a year, my oil change, they called up the people that were gonna change my oil. They told them I wasn’t able to get my oil changed because I didn’t have enough mileage on my car. I had to have 100,000 miles, to even get it. Some of them know what they’re doing, some of them don’t. But I’ve only been with them for about a month and so far, so good.

I never got my pamphlet from Endurance Auto Warranty. I would have thought that it would have come in within the first week. They only gave me a month to make a decision if I wanted to cancel but they never gave me the plan and I couldn't even log into my account. They sent me an email with the account information. When I used it, it didn't work. I just call and I pay off the phone or I send in a check. The person that I was talking to taught me how to look it up when I first got it because he said that I wasn't gonna get it within the week. So I was able to look it up that first time but when I purchased something, I'd be expecting to get everything that would come with it. They also said a week so I was expecting a week. But it's now two months. So it was not a good start.
I was going to cancel the coverage with Endurance because I had a better offer. Then I spoke to one person who told me that she could change my monthly. But I didn’t see the monthly change and I didn't see a change after the next bill. So I'm wondering if it is all talk just to get people in. Other than that, I noticed that Endurance had a better offer for the term that they were giving me versus the other lifetime terms. So it wouldn't make sense to leave Endurance.

The guy who discussed the product with me worked on cars at a point in time and he had some knowledge of some things that were pretty interesting to me. I asked him how can they know if the repair that the customer needed didn't happen a month prior to initiating the claim? He let me know that on the newer vehicles there's a date and time stamp. Then he told me about a $500 reward for the diamond I chose, 250 at the onset for signing up that I would be able to go online and do some shopping and what have you, and then 250 after the third payment. Well, he failed to tell me that they were just discounts. It actually wasn't $250. I would have to purchase something in order to get it. Like for instance, if I purchase a $50 gift card, I would only get $5 off of that, so I would be paying $45. I couldn't use the incentive all in one.
I called back to ask about that and why I was told or led to believe that it would be something different. The guy was very rude. I asked a simple question like what's the next policy down and how much it costs. He went into a thing saying, "Well, why would you want to know that?" He gave me a very hard time about it and I just asked for the manager. Yet, he still wouldn't give it to me, so I never got an answer. I had to call back on another day and talk to a young lady and she gave me the information. The guy said the conversation was recorded, so someone should be able to look back and hear that conversation the second time I called them.
Then I read through the policy and there were certain things that I didn't like. For instance, no one told me about keeping records for the parts. It led to me believe that later on down the line and something happened with this car, and I didn't have the records with that policy, I would be denied. I stopped the direct debit coming from my account and I'm deciding whether I want to continue with that warranty or not.

I got over that and then, when they set up my policy, they neglected to mark that it was a Highline maintenance, which it should have been. I called them, but it took several, several, several phone calls to finally get it corrected. I would also always have to follow up with them instead of them calling me back.

I told them what I was looking for which was if anything goes down, I would have some kind of maintenance insurance that could cover it. They told me that with their plan, I pay $205 upfront to sign up for the program and it's $97 a month. Two things must happen and it must be maxed out. One is it must be 30 days and the mileage on my vehicle should reach over 1,000 miles so that they can show that it's an active vehicle. I asked if the plan covers everything to which I was told yes. I then asked how it works. I was told I take my vehicle in and pay the $100 deductible.
On Friday, I had an issue where I got something wrong on the belt and two gasket valves were leaking. Endurance said they didn’t cover any of those. That wasn't how they described it to me on the phone. They pretty much took my money and ran with it and I didn’t appreciate that. I talked with a young man who asked how much my bill was. I told him it was $1,800. He said they would go ahead and take half of that out and put it toward my contract. But that doesn’t benefit me. I got the insurance for a reason. They sent me a form, I filled it out and sent it in. Right after, they charged me $97 for the month. They were so worried about getting my money but they couldn't help out a customer that they had given faulty information to.
I was looking online and Endurance was rated as one of the best maintenance insurance companies. But after talking to a representative and dealing with this situation, it was totally against what they said the program was there for. They were also supposed to mail out the contract that tells me what services I’m available to utilize. I had to call Endurance and tell them that I didn’t receive anything. Two days before I took my vehicle in, I got something in the mail. 30 days had passed already. That left a bad taste in my stomach as well. He told me everything that was on television was junk and he didn't like the one that's been advertised all the time. So then, I started searching and I asked my phone. It gave me 5 or 10 of the best insurance deals and Endurance came out on top, so I went with that.
On the first call, I said, “I'm going to check out some other ones. Call me back.” A few days later, they called back. They were cool because they weren't trying to push anything. They are informative too. When I printed out all the material that they sent me on the computer. I read through it and it seemed to be comprehensive. I used to do all of my own work because I’m a retired aircraft mechanic. I worked for Northwest Airlines for 39 years and worked on cars all my life also, but the thing is I'm 75 years old, and I don't want to crawl under another car to save my soul.
I have a Mitsubishi Outlander with a V6 engine and it's been a really good car. It's got the total package. The only thing I would tow would be a trailer to haul stuff to the junkyard, but I haven't towed anything with it yet. I've got a little over 51,000 miles on it because we haven't been going anywhere since the shutdown. It's still covered by the 100,000 mile warranty that the company has, but that warranty is a little sketchy because if you have to tear down an engine, it charges you for seal replacement. It means that it’s costing you the teardown and rebuild. All they're going to do is put in new parts or whatever was broken. The warranty from Endurance covers the seals, so that's what I found good. Also, it's a $100 deductible, which is good as well. So far, I'm happy, but I haven't had to use it, which makes me even happier.

I used to work in the insurance industry and if I sniffed any kind of sketchy, salesy stuff, I wouldn't have bought it. The person I dealt with came across as trustworthy. He explained things easily to me, and I understood what they were offering. He answered all my questions too.

I thought about going with CarShield. I called BBB, and they said they gave them an F. So, I didn't go to CarShield. And they were still pressing. They were calling me every day. I'm like, “Gee, are you all right? Do you really need my business that much?” And then, I checked with Endurance. BBB gave them a C-plus. But I talked with a gentleman, and he sort of convinced me. So, I told him, “Well, give me a week and I’m calling you back.” I called him back, and then we went over stuff. And then I said, “Okay. We'll go for it.”
I was gonna call Endurance and tell them that because of the pandemic, people weren’t driving. I’m not driving my car. So, they should lower that 1,000 miles to down like 500 or 700 miles. It has already been 30 days. But I didn't put 200 miles on my car. I haven’t gone anywhere except to doctor's appointments or to the store to go shopping. Four months can go by, something could happen to the car. But I still don't have 1,000 miles on it. So, I couldn't get it fixed, even though I'm still paying them. I'm paying them $101 a month.

The guy from Endurance that I was working with was great on the phone and their coverage seemed reasonable. But I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the ability to pivot during these times and adjust the waiting period due to the fact that most people were working from home these days. For example, my wife used to drive 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year like your average American. But now that she's working from home five days a week, she drives about 8 miles a week. So we'd have to wait 90 days or 30 days and 200 miles, which 200 miles would take us several months, and the 90-day, 1,000 miles would take us more than six months.
The waiting period should be 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. But so far, everyone that I've spoken to has been extremely helpful, friendly and professional. They totally understand where I'm coming from. When all this COVID hopefully settles down in May or June, maybe I'll revisit it and I'll look at my options. I'll probably come back and get the same policy I've had and then of course, that waiting period will be satisfied in 30 days, no problem.

Endurance had almost 5 stars and once I knew what was covered and what the cost was to me, it wasn't that bad.
The gentleman that I talked to was very friendly and informative. I'm not very versed in warranties, but he was forthcoming. I added the first car and I told him I had another car. The price he gave me was good, which was no problem for one car. When I added the second car though, it was a bit above what I was looking to spend at that point in time. It was the holidays. I didn't want to pay the price of the two cars and he was willing to split the payments. One payment covered both cars and then three weeks later, I was able to pay the rest. I noticed an oil leak, maybe it was transmission fluid? Anyways, they say it's not covered because of bed seals. But you must do preventive maintenance. So..why sell my a policy that cost over $3,000.? And not cover needed repairs. They kinda got you in a bind, because after further review of the policy, it states must maintain proper fluid levels and all that.
