I went on vacation and when I came home, my struts went out. Endurance replaced them. A few weeks later, the tire pressure gauge malfunctioned. When I took it in to Ford, they said there was a pile of stuff that needed to be replaced or repaired on it. One of the reasons I purchased Endurance was for the electrical things. I did not read the fine print and only certain things are covered. In this case, nothing was covered. I found independent people to start taking it and paying for it myself.
I found that you can claim certain portions with Endurance. If I have to have the brakes redone, I can get the $50 on the pads for the lifetime of the vehicle. I tried to call the claims department and for two days, I couldn't get ahold of anyone. To date, I haven't gotten far enough to call their claims department again and see if I can get some of my funds back. On the whole, Endurance could be good if you read the fine print. They worked really good on a payment plan. What you think you're getting sold is great. What you are actually getting sold is okay. The warranty is high for the price. A penny is a penny that you save in this day and age. Would I do it again? No.

They took care of the problems. It was excellent. They did the oil change, and they paid for that one also. Everything went smoothly.

Signup was a good experience, and the plan was exactly what I needed for both of the vehicles I just purchased. The individual I talked with over the phone was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I also told him that I was military, and he made sure that I was taken care of based on my military service.

I checked the numbers and Endurance had a better deal than anybody else. It seemed that they took a interest in it, too. I had a couple of representatives because I dealt with them back and forth and set my wife's vehicle up second. And just a minor glitch was that we didn't get the paperwork. They took care of that right away when I called them back. I felt it was the best experience.

I had a good sign-up experience with Endurance. It was easy. Endurance worked the way they said it would. I called them again to talk about something else and they said, “Why don't you do your other car?” I couldn't because the other car had a mileage problem and the odometer had been tampered with. The guy said I could do it anyway as long as it's going the right way. I then talked to a supervisor and he said, “No way.” He was gonna talk to the guy who told me I could sign my other car up too.

When I went through the process of picking and selecting an auto warranty, I looked up Consumer Affairs online to get some reviews. There were some cheaper ones, but they didn't offer near as much as Endurance. I liked their plan, and it was the best one out there for me, but I didn't just talk to Endurance once. They sent me the plan, which is a lot of pages in tiny print. I read most of it carefully then listed out a bunch of questions I wanted to ask. What are the things that will keep you from turning in a claim, specifically? I gotta make sure that I gotta keep my oil and maintenance up. Otherwise it will kill the warranty, which I'm very particular about my cars. I talked to the representative three times before I bought, and he was very helpful and gave me good information. I knocked off some of the price for paying up front too. I've had the warranty for four months, but it didn't take effect till I hit 36,000 miles, which I just did recently.

The signing process with Endurance was very easy and when I used them to be reimbursed for my oil change and an inspection, they paid like they said they were. But it turned out that the warranty is not what they said it was going to be. With the package that I bought, I thought that I could replace my tires and they would pay up to X amount of dollars per tire. But when I took my car in for an inspection and it turned out that I needed tires, I called up to see how much towards the tires they would pay and I was told that the warranty only covered for road hazard. But that was not what the salesman told me. It touched on what the tires would be covered like maintenance type stuff. And then when you get all the paperwork, it's so overwhelming as there are hundreds of pages. You can never really read it anyway. But what really stood out from other companies was the maintenance package that Endurance offered.
I called to complain when my tires weren't covered and when I told the lady I spoke to on the phone that I felt like I was deceived, she said that I didn't really have to pay for that anyway since they would give that to me on the first year. So had I known that and had I known that it really wasn't what I thought it was in terms of the tires and who knows what else I'm going to need, I wouldn't have gone with Endurance.

I do not usually write reviews but I felt this warranted a warning review for those who might be interested in what is like to actually try to get out of a contract with Endurance. I purchased a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan from local dealer and it is perfect for our business vehicle that will be used for deliveries. I thought about the miles on the car and the amount we expect to drive and thought a car warranty might be a good idea. Did my research and felt Endurance was at that time the best plan to go with so called. (I do not like that you cannot get a quote over the internet, but they are trying to upsell you on all the bells and whistles so I guess I can understand.)
The guy I talked to seemed knowledgeable and we decided not on the expensive, cover everything plan because I just want to cover the major stuff. Got all my info etc. Told him it was for a business and why we wanted the coverage. I felt I could not go wrong with signing up since there was a 30 day money back guarantee and I needed to talk it over with the other business partners. Seemed a really good idea at the time. However, after reviewing with my business partners and having some new financial arrangements come to light with our bank we decided to opt out and cancel.
First step - call customer service, which said extra long wait times so I gave my name and number to save my place in the Queue and have them call back. It came in as a spam "Toll Free call" to my cell which I took anyway and that is where the trouble started. First the guy started pleasant enough and wondered why I needed to cancel since I have only had the policy for 10 days. So, I proceeded to tell him we no longer wanted the coverage and no longer needed the coverage, and my partners and I had decided against it. He came back with "I didn't want to be stranded with a high bill on the side of the road did I"? Why cancel? How can I afford a major breakdown, Blah blah blah. This is not my first time around the block and not my first car buying experience. If I thought the car was going to have major problems right after I bought it - I would not have bought it.
We got into a shouting match for over 18 minutes and a totally frustrating call which resulted in me (unfortunately) sinking to his level and sounding like a raving lunatic trying to get them to cancel my contract. I kept saying - "just cancel the contract" how hard is it? I will say he is good at conservation so that is why he probably called. He did everything in the book to keep me from changing my mind and not cancel, even offering me a discount of $800.00 to keeping it. If they could offer a discount to begin with - why not offer a better price??? I hate when companies try to pull that, just give me your best price going into it and we will be good. Don't lie and try to offer a better deal later. The price should be whatever it is - period.
He also said the policy I had was not a policy for business and that they offered a policy for business', which again frustrated me because I was forthcoming, and upfront and told the original sales guy it was for my business. I wonder if I had kept the plan, if they would have even paid a claim. I am not saying they are a bad company or a bad warranty but they have made me NOT want to do business with them for my 3 personal cars, and I will be looking elsewhere for a warranty for my next vehicle. I hope they recorded the call and use it in training, either the guy I talked to will get fired or the company will have all their employees being that rude and belligerent and then everyone will know how bad they are.

The initial rep was awesome and he did a really good job. He was very knowledgeable and I was comfortable with him. When he gave me all of the information, I told him, "Let me just think about it because I know that there are different packages with different mileage and years." When I called back and I was ready to sign up, it wasn't the initial guy I spoke with. I told the rep, "Well, that's not the quote that the guy gave me, but that's fine." So then, she was like, "No, that's not right. If somebody quoted you, then we should be able to make sure we're taking care of you." She was like, "No, that's not right. If somebody quoted you, then we should be able to make sure we're taking care of you." She was very nice.
She had me talk to her supervisor and he seemed so arrogant. I said, "The guy, this is what he had told me." And he was like, "Oh, no, he's just an employee. He can't come close to what I can do." And I'm like, "Okay, man. It ain't about that, bro." I signed up with him but I felt like I was rushed. After doing the math, I was like, "Man, I was probably better off with the initial quote than this one." It stretched out my payments longer with a smaller payment but with not as much mileage. The experience could have been better with that last guy. But, I feel good about the coverage I got for now.

Endurance was the cheapest one, and the other qualities they had on their service agreement plan makes a difference. The rep went over and told me what was going on when I first took out the policy, and he made sense. Whatever he covered and what I was looking at my policy is okay.

I would definitely suggest Endurance. It sounds like it's fairly easy. But there's no card that I have to present. So, if I have to go for an oil change, what would I do? How would I present my information to be covered by Endurance?
Reviewed Jan. 25, 2022
The first rep. I spoke with said I vod get my oil changed but would have to drive 1000 miles before I could submit a claim, I told him it would take a while before I would reach 1000miles due to the fact that I drive to Ann Arbor twice a month which is only about 30 miles from me, after that I only drive my car to get gas and to the market. The agent did not try to change the quote after speaking with him. I called my dealer and was told I had till April 27 for Warranty and 2027 for power train and they would call Endurace that he would call me back before anything canceled.
I called Endurance back I was connected to another person then tried to cancel for a good time with him. He wouldn't let me off the phone. He finally let me hang up. The next morning I tried to cancel again. This is my third time trying to cancel. The person I spoke to this time I was more adamant about my choice to cancel. He kept trying to get me to accept his offer. I kept telling him I don't want a policy until he said that he could not talk to me that he would get another agent to speak to me because I was being rude. I told him all I want is to cancel, he put me on hold.
When came back he said he couldn't find another agent so he offer me a lower price for 98.00 a month and 200 miles. I said ok but after I hung up I decided I do not want to work with them. I could not contact anyone at the company. They had charged me 20.00 plus 224.00. I went to my bank they said I couldn't get my money back. However I was able to stop them from charging my account again. This company was rated # 1 in the country. I would rate them #0. They are the worst EVER

The rep was very on hands. He kind of explained everything as it was being told to me, where I understood it. The process was real quick because he made it easy to understand. Then I paid my deposit and after that, everything has been pretty much going pretty good. I took my car to get a transmission checkup and found out that it was low on fluid. All I had to do was take the vehicle to whatever place I desire for it to go and then after they gave the diagnosis, the claim adjuster came out and gave his opinion on it. Then they fixed it and I received the car. I'm really satisfied with Endurance. Overall, it's a good company to deal with when it comes to things like pandemics and you don't know where you're going to get your money or extra income from, but you always got someone looking out in another form of fashion.

Normally, Endurance just takes the $50 credit then bills me for the rest. But their system was down, so I had to pay full price. After I did all the paperwork and everything that I needed to do, I still haven't got my reimbursement for my oil change. Other than that, I had my mechanic friend look over several different warranties and Endurance's was the best. As far as mechanically, too, what they cover and don't. My son said that I have to be careful because companies would say, "Well, we'll cover this if this happens." Endurance's didn't have a lot of those stipulations, so they truly are a better warranty. The price is spendy, but I get what I pay for.

When I made the claim at Kia in Savannah, they paid 15 bucks on for the diagnostics on the car. They did not do a full coverage on the major repair. And for my ABS and anti-skid lights being all on the dash, they paid just a small part of that. But they wanted to send Kia used parts to repair it with. Any garage that's in business for profit wouldn't accept that offer because want to make a markup on the parts that they provide for a repair.
For peace of mind, it is ideal it is ideal to get an extended warranty coverage because somewhere along the line, you're going to need it. It's hard for anybody to come up with $5,000 to make an auto repair. When I go outside I don't have any qualms about whether my car will get in reverse and back out the driveway or not. The way they treated me was very unprofessional. I didn't like them. They didn't cover anything at all. They denied the fuel pump, water pump, and both manifolds after they said that the manifolds are covered under the warranty. They said the manifolds warped beyond repair. I said, "Well, that's the whole point of a used vehicle, to use warranty." Then the lady said, "Well, we don't know if you took a baseball bat to your truck." I said, "So now you're telling me I'm a liar and falsifying documentation?" She said, "I didn't say that." I said, "No, you just told me that I'm a liar." So I canceled the policy.

The reps explained the warranty as well as I allowed them to. Most of our calls were quick and in a rush because we would call them when I was on my way to work or right before I was starting to work. Most of my understanding came after I got a breakdown of what is covered in the little booklet and email. Most of the other companies wouldn’t go over the 150,000 mile mark. But Endurance would. The rep told me how many years and how many miles it would be, and the cost over the four or five year period that we got it for. It sounded good to me, so we went ahead and did it. We just call the rep, go online, and make a payment. Having coverage on a vehicle like ours, you got to have something like that. To go and buy a new one when they're $85,000 for something that we need for towing a vehicle around and with all the other stuff, and we've got to maintain ours. So having something like that helps us pay for some of the bills.

They said it was a one-time deal on that but I just started with them and I already saved some money. The rep with Endurance was helpful but I found out later that the information that they gave wasn't exactly complete. When I got the contract, they listed two pages worth of exemptions of things that would not allow them to cover certain items. They tell you all the great things that they cover, but they don't tell you all the things that could come up that you, as a consumer, would never even know.
I had a late model Mercedes and those cars have a lot of electronic stuff on them. I specifically picked Endurance because all of those types of items were high cost repairs and they covered it. When it failed, I put the car in for repair and had to go to the warranty company. They said that they would not cover the claim because Mercedes had some type of instruction that shows you how to go about repairing certain things. Because Mercedes didn't do it and it was included in this contract, they denied the claim.
In the contract, it says that you can have arbitration. You can challenge it. But the interesting thing is that when you challenge a decision, your challenge goes right back to the person who denied it in the first place. That was unusual. After that experience, I discontinued my contract with them. You have a certain amount of time in order to cancel, so I cancelled within the timeline they said that I could. But I'd have to wait six to eight weeks before they make a determination if they're going to refund me my money or not.

Warranties protect you against large and expensive breakdowns, like computerization, electronics, and air conditioning systems, which can go bad pretty easily. I called Endurance as I had a question. I had to replace the oil pan and it wasn’t covered. Then I realized that a lot of places don't take this warranty because I have to go to the dealer. My car's a Honda and so I'd go as long as it was a Honda dealer and I'd have to call and make sure that they take it. But it is kind of annoying. When I got the one I had before with the dealer, it was so much easier. I thought I was getting into the same type of deal where all I had to do was call them and tell them this is going on, and they would tell me to go here and the person would make the phone call and do everything and all I had to do was show up and give them my keys and pay. Another thing is that I don't like their website. It's not very user-friendly. They sent me an email, and right now with the time we live in, I'm really wary when getting emails because of phishing and all the kinds of scams that are out there.

My husband found Endurance and we got signed up with them for my 2014 BMW. The individual that I spoke with was a very nice gentleman with a great personality. He assured me that I had this comprehensive coverage from top to bottom and pretty much everything that I needed would be in there. That was why my husband and I felt comfortable enough to get the warranty.
There are some things wrong with the car and it's at the dealership. A claim was submitted and it was denied. I’m left to pay several thousand dollars for my car to get fixed. I was upset because that's the whole point of the warranty. I called the warranty company myself to get an understanding of how we got to this point when what they told me was everything was going to be covered. The young lady that I spoke with was a very nice individual and explained to me that in order for the part to be covered, they have to be specifically listed in the plan that I have. But how would I know that as a consumer? They are the warranty company. Did they sell me a warranty knowing that my parts are not listed and that I can't get any coverage for it? That makes no sense to me.
Endurance sold me the warranty knowing that I wasn't going to be able to get anything fixed on my car. I asked the young lady if she could transfer me to the department where I could cancel the warranty. I absolutely will not continue to pay for something that I can't use. She transferred me and I was on hold for a good 25 minutes until I had to hang up to get back into a call for work. Endurance is on my list to cancel.

But, I never got to utilize them because my car got totaled right after. I'm trying to stop the insurance, but they want me to send in all this stuff. I don't feel like that should have to happen. They said something about giving me $1,000. But in order to get that money, I have to turn in the paperwork saying that the car got paid off and that it's all finished up. But, it's not. I bought an expensive used sports car and wanted to have some coverage on it. I did some research on a couple of plans. I had two other companies to compare Endurance to. The signing-up experience with Endurance was very informative. The other two companies had a little bit of a hard sale to them. I didn't need a hard sale. I just needed a quality coverage plan. The Endurance rep walked through the options, what was best for my make vehicle and amount of miles that I had on it. Went pretty detailed through what I was purchasing.
My only issue was needing to have 1,000 miles on it before it took effect. I don't think I could put 1,000 miles on it as of yet. I live in an area where it snows and it’s winter and this wasn't my primary vehicle. I drove it for a few months and put 700 miles on it. The very first issue started the very first day I signed up with Endurance. I was in my living room on the phone with them signing up and when they asked me for the mileage on my car, I told the lady. I told her too that I was not with my car. I was approximating the mileage out and that when I get to my car, I would let them know what the correct one was, but it’s so and so. The rep said it was not a problem and it wouldn't stop them from doing the policy so we went on with the policy. The second issue turned out to be about them not taking the money out.
I had to put in the down payment to get started and then, I set it up for automatic pay to come out for both vehicles that very next payment date. I don't know when they broke my thing up into two contracts. I thought when I signed up with them that I had both coverages and it was all under one contract. The rep told me I would get an email with my contract in it. When I got an email, I didn't even check it. When it was time for the next payment to come out, they only took half of the rest of the payment. They didn't take the rest of the money out which was agreed upon for it to come out for both cars. It was another $400 which was supposed to come out for me to have my down payment paid.
When the car needed the work, they said that my down payment wasn't paid. I said that I got a receipt saying that Endurance took a payment out of an automatic draft. They said they only took out so and so, and it went towards the Subaru. I asked why it would only go towards the Subaru and that it was not what we agreed on. I paid Endurance the first half for both cars in the beginning and they were supposed to take the second half out for both cars the same day. That was our agreement. We had it on recording then. They said that was never paid and I needed to pay that.
I got another issue when it was time to do a repair on the car that was more than an oil change. Before I went to get the oil change, I called and asked Endurance if I was within my mileage to be able to go get an oil change. I said I was with the car and looking at 137,000 miles. Although I've been trying to put the 1,000 miles that it requires for me to use my policy, I know I didn't put 10,000 miles on here. Because it's saying 137 miles and I told them 120 something, The rep said it was not going to be a problem and that she would put a note. So, Endurance approved for me to get the oil change.
About four or five days later, when I went to go get my tires rotated, I found out that I had a bad caliper and they decided they weren't gonna pay for it. They tried to say that I had bad maintenance on my car, which was why I had a bad caliper. Then, they brought up that the payment hadn't been paid again and it was a payment due. I told them that I thought we straightened up this part and whatever it is, let me pay it, because I didn't want that issue. I turned around and paid them another $300. The next day, they refused to fix my car saying that I had insufficient maintenance on the car. So I went to Acura and got a printout showing that I’ve been going there for the last five years, getting my car taken care of, as I need to, from oil to brakes. I'm trying to prove that I've not had any bad maintenance. I just had an inspection done on my car and they didn't tell me anything that I needed a caliper.
I tried to send the paperwork to Endurance but they still refused to pay. They took my money and told me two days later that I had been canceled because I gave them false mileage. I was the one who called them to give the correct mileage and told them in the beginning that I was approximating mileage. I gave them the correct knowledge on my own and checked before I even got an oil change, and they approved me to get an oil change. Then, they want to turn around and deny me everything else. Because now, it’s something else that needs to be done. They refused it and kept taking our money and they kept telling me I was canceled.
I’m literally in the midst of trying to do a small claim against them to try to get our money back. They agreed to give me part of my monthly fee that they took back. They’re not gonna pay for anything and they already did not cover the cost that was well supported. They picked and chose what car they were gonna cover. It was a mess. Before that happened, I have been telling everybody about these guys and literally on the day it happened, I had an uncle that bought a car that wanted to get this one. Then, they did that to me. This was the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, ever, and they were horrible.

The woman explained to me as long as I paid my downpayment and went 30 days and 1,000 miles, everything would be covered. But it wasn't. When I took my vehicle to my mechanic for an inspection in November, the mechanic found that I needed a ball joint, and Endurance said no. I asked them why and they said because the car is too old and the problem was supposedly already there. So, I had to pay to get all that fixed after I paid the $110 a month that I owed plus the 300 and some dollar downpayment that they asked me. If you have an older car, they're always going to tell you that the problem is something that was already there before you got Endurance.

And not just Endurance, but all of them are saying what they can do for me now and that they want my answer. So, they can improve on the speed in which they want you to answer.
Endurance has a one month, 1,000 miles requirement before it kicks in. I understand that they don't want to put a warranty on an existing issue but that needs to be made more aware. People need to make sure that they're looking at the qualifications, if it starts right away, if there is a time frame that we have to wait and if there is a mileage requirement. In buying a new car and if I got the warranty at the dealership, it would have started immediately. Whereas there is a waiting period if you get the warranty through Endurance or through any of the other car warranty places. Also, the one thing that I'm dissatisfied with is there's a 30-day money back guarantee but there's a one month waiting period before the start of the policy.

It's very unfair what Endurance is doing to us and I'm still not done with them. We've talked to them three times and they said there's no refund. My husband bought the vehicle on October 15th and drove the car approximately five miles to the house. On October 16th, we called Endurance and got the warranty. They told my husband to give them the mileage. He was reading from the document and gave all the information of the year, the make and the model. And Endurance made the contract out. Now that there's an issue with the car, they said that there's a difference of five miles from the minute he took the vehicle out of the dealership and the next day when he gave the mileage of off the paper. They said that because he didn't tell them there was a 5-mile difference, they were not paying anything and not even giving a refund. They said we'd have to open a new policy with them.
Endurance is terrible. For five miles, there was no consideration. After going through this, I've seen some of the remarks on the Better Business information and they've done this repeatedly to so many people. They do this on purpose because they're able to take advantage. They should ask if people are giving them the mileage from the piece of paper of the car they purchased or if they went outside and gave them the mileage of the vehicle. They do that to trap you, to be able to come back if you filed a claim a year later and suck up your money. I don't know that my husband gave them the wrong mileage but they're insisting that it's on our end. I got it. But if they’re looking at 24 hours and a 5-mile difference, they’re going to eat up thousands of dollars they’ve taken that we paid them and not cover our service, that's inhuman.

I asked the rep from Endurance what kind of policies were available and he said there were three different ones. I told him that the only thing I'm interested in is the drivetrain, the major mechanical components and he said that Endurance has one that covers that, which was the one we selected. Also, I got to Endurance because there was an independent survey done on the top five of their kinds of programs and I read the reviews on them. Endurance was rated first in that entire review. Then, I read the particular reviews. I have to see how people were treated and it appeared that they were treated fairly.
We had a program one other time. We had bought two new cars and it was our first excursion into these highly electronic vehicles. It'd be a good idea to have them covered. When we had a couple of issues, we were treated poorly so I was very leery of this kind of a process again, but yet having bought that vehicle, it might be worthwhile trying it once more, and we have.
At first, I had some problems with the MEPCO website. I couldn't get from Endurance to MEPCO very easily and I had to make a few phone calls to get there. It took me about two or three different tries. We bought the warranty in either November or December and the first payment was late because I couldn't get to the website at all. I kept trying to enter the data and for some reason or another, it wouldn't take it. I got a nastygram from Endurance saying I was late and I said that I tried to pay three days ago and nothing happened. I never got a receipt. I talked to a couple of people about it and it seemed to indicate to me that I paid it. But I got the nastygram from Endurance saying I was late and did I need help with payment. It was a whole bunch of who struck John about my finances but it had nothing to do with that. It had to do with their website. So, I explained that to people and I was able to get the payment made.
The following month, I had a similar problem but I kept trying because I noticed that the first time, after I got on it the second time on the first payment due, there was a difference in the way it reacted. So I kept looking for that and I finally found it. I would like to see it be all just one website to go to rather than the way Endurance splits it up between their service and advertising website, and then somebody else is collecting my money. I find that a little disconcerting, but if that's the way they're going to do business, that's your business model and it’s entirely up to them, but I would prefer different.

He said that if I buy the contract, he was going to give me free oil changes but that was not included. The contract was 30 something pages. I went over it a little bit and I didn't see anything. It's probably there but I didn't check thoroughly. The difficult part was making the monthly payments, because they go through another company. They sent me a link and I had to sign up through another company to make the monthly payments.
I'm not very satisfied with the extended warranty itself. I'm planning on canceling it because I had a problem with my car and they put up some excuses to not pay for the repairs. So I was irked about it. I got the car six months ago and I usually go to AutoZone, buy the oil and filter and I do it myself. Endurance said that because I don't take the car to a shop to get the oil changes done, I didn't have any documents stating that I did it. So they blamed me for the car having issues and they didn't pay for the repairs at all.
I did those oil changes before I bought the warranty. So, during the warranty, I didn't do any oil changes because the car went bad within three months of me buying the warranty, and that was not enough time for me to change the oil because I don't drive it daily. I still got the receipts with the oils and filters that I bought and the dates but they said that the mileage needs to be documented by a shop. I just write everything down on my phone with the mileage that I changed the oil and they said that that was not enough. So I have to pay the shop to get the oil changes.

That's the part I didn't like 'cause I only go to the store, visit my son and my daughter-in-law and go to church. The mechanic is now doing a bearing, which isn't covered, and that's gonna cost me 500. Also, they're only going to cover a brake pad for $50, and it needs a rotor and a brake pad. I called and I was explained, “Well, for the year of your car and the mileage, this is what we offer you and that's it.” They had it listed part by part, and the mechanic went over it with me. What they don't cover is stuff that really needs to be done. I only got 30 days to cancel. I can transfer it to another vehicle but I'm locked in for over three grand for two years. It’s horrible.

They made it sound as though I was getting their highest tier coverage. More information would have been great. It's one of those things where they didn't technically lie, they just omitted information that would have affected my decision.
Endurance makes it super easy to sign up. It was fairly easy to get through to someone but the reps didn't understand the coverage themselves. I was on the phone probably an hour with them while they asked other people and read through the information. I also tried to use Endurance once and had the claim denied. Then I have to call them when I'm at the place where I'm getting my oil changed. I wish I could just send in a receipt instead. I had already gotten an oil change and then it was null and void because I didn't call them first. Also, with their hours of operation, if I need services on the weekend and they're closed, that's not a good convenient thing for me. I purchased the warranty around October 7, 2021, paid my initial deposit, then the other half of that deposit on October 14, 2021. The day I was setting up I asked the salesperson if I could do my own oil changes or if I needed to have someone do it, the salesperson stated could do my own oil changes and that was fine, all I had to do was keep receipts of my oil and filter purchase. Three months go by and my car breaks down, I have it towed back to a repair shop and they tell me I need a new engine, since this town was not my home town, I towed the car back to a dealership who verified that I need a new engine. The dealership sent in a warranty claim, the warranty company sent out an inspector who took pictures of the car and sent those in.
I reached out to the warranty company who stated I needed to send in receipts of oil changes, since I do my own oil changes I sent in the Walmart receipts of my oil and filter purchases. I had to call to make sure they received the email, a couple days later, the dealership informed me that the claim was denied. I called the warranty company to find out why, they told me because I didn't write down my mileage when I did my oil changes, I informed them the salesman didn't tell me I had to do that. They just stated it was in my contract and up to me to keep track of that. I again informed them the salesman told me I only had to keep track of my receipts, they repeated the same information. I told the representative that since they didn't tell me this in the beginning and they were pulling this out of thin air I requested them to cancel my service and refund all of payments to them, the representative then transferred me.
I spoke to another rep who looked over the claim and found I was well within the guidelines to be approved, so she spoke to the claims department and informed them that I should have been approved. She came back and told me that now they want 2 years of receipts compared to only last three as was previously stated, so they changed their tune since I do my own oil changes, they also stated they wanted mileage logs of when I changed my oil which is not stated I have to provide in my contract. They also wanted to know why my mileage usage went up which is actually none of their business. So they pretty much scammed me out of monthly payments to not do what they are required to do and replace my engine.

However, when I needed my car fixed, I took it to the shop. The shop was great that I took it to. But when I would call for the next steps, I never got a phone call from Endurance, like a follow-up to say, “We heard that your car was in the shop. These are the steps.” Nothing to reiterate my warranty.
When I would call, I got the same girl twice. She had a little McDonald’s quality of customer service. Luckily, I got another gentleman and he was awesome. By having this young lady on the phone with me twice, there was no way I could’ve gotten bad customer service twice. But by him getting back on the phone, it reassured me that I made the best decision. I was frantic. It was the holiday season. Getting a new transmission is quite pricey. But he turned around and it worked out.
But the thing was, I still got nothing from Endurance to say, “How did it go?” Even when my car was delayed, I called back up there. I was very patient because of the holidays. I knew that it didn't make sense to get a rental car because my car had not even been looked at by Endurance. So, when they came and they processed my claim, I was like, okay, it would take a little more time because of the holidays. Everything was going on.
I said, “Is there any way you can extend the window for one more day?” He said, “Our policy doesn't allow it. I'm not sure.” They sent me to customer services, like a courtesy thing and the rep didn't even wait for my answer. She said, “No. There is no way we can do it.” But they fixed my car and they gave me a new transmission, so I'm happy. My transmission, all together with labor and cost was $5,000. I only paid 400 out of my pocket. I will recommend Endurance. I had an awesome experience, just the fact that I got my car fixed.

It was great in the beginning with Endurance, but I realized when I went to the dealership that a lot of stuff was not covered. So I was under a very different impression. Endurance was saying that the problem with my car was not covered because it was on the gasket. But the dealership was saying that it was not because of the gasket. However, they said there was no way to replace a gasket and that we had to replace the pot, which would cost a lot of money.
I ended up getting a second opinion and it turned out that I did not need that, but I needed something else that was making a movement in my front end and a sound. I've always had warranties on my vehicle and I've never had a problem walking into a dealership and getting my car taken care of. The mechanic called them and explained the fuel pump was bad and by the fuel pump going bad caused the module to burn. I paid out of pocket for the module and they denied the fuel pump because they said the mechanic said there was nothing wrong with the fuel pump and the module was the cause.
The crazy thing about it was I was standing sitting right by the mechanic when he called in the claim. The scheme is to switch up the words of the mechanic and deny the claim. I have some conversations recorded and it is really disturbing how they will just flat out lie on the shop and lie to the customer. This is not a warranty service. I took the car in recently to have some work done because the dealership had said that they weren't able to tighten up the transmission lines anymore. It was causing a leak. I turned that in to have that claim but Endurance denied it because they said the transmission lines aren't covered.
Also, when the service advisor had called the stuff in, she told me that they were very short with her and rather rude. They didn't want to talk to her and said that, “This is not covered.” And that was the end of the conversation. But if the lines aren't covered, that leads to fluid loss and that means the transmission is gonna go out. I'm pretty upset with them. If it's basic maintenance that's gonna be taken care of on the vehicle, then that's fine. They will take care of that. But if anything major happens, I feel like they leave you hanging on a branch.
I would have liked for them to have discussed what their plans covered because when I first talked with them, they made it seem like I selected a tech plan, because of the technology that's in the vehicle. When the dust settles... If you had asked me about Endurance and their Coverages/Protection a year and a half ago, I would have given them a higher rating than my previous extended warranty provider. I thought that since they had treated me fairly on my previous vehicle, that I would transfer/register my 2015 GMC Truck to them as well- hopefully to benefit from a multiple-car discount as well as the continued service and coverage.
We may have gotten a discount for the royalty transfer, but the royalty from them to support two of my current claims has been far from their publicized customer satisfaction statements. I have had to almost become an Auditor and Attorney to provide evidence to support my Claims. As a Service Quality Professional, myself, I would think that continuous improvement efforts are in order when facing a new customer complaint supported by evidence. We should always be willing to revisit our policies and processes to stay ahead of our competition. But maybe that and customer retention is not that important.
My first vehicle Failure:The Suspension rack needed to be replaced after identifying that the bushing had failed on the driver side causing the suspension to shift and pop during turns. Reported Endurance by the service provider with the estimated costs. The cost triggered the need for an adjuster (unbiased we hope). The adjuster verified the bushing failure; however, the suspension rack was NOT covered. After receiving the rejection, I wanted more details. After going to the GM Part Catalogue and contacting the local GMC Dealer Part department, we discovered that the bushing that would have been covered is not an “Orderable” Part on my year and model truck. I provided Endurance with the assembly Part# and pictures showing them that the rack and bushing were all part of ONE Assembly. The Endurance representative told me that that didn’t matter and closed the claim as “Denied”. No Partial payout. No offered concessions or anything…
My most current Failure:Had an acceleration issue and heard excessive tapping noises from me engine, so I took it to the dealership where I purchased and have it regularly serviced. After the assessment by the service department, they determined that the lifters on the right side need to be replaced. Again, since the cost had reached a certain threshold, an adjuster needed to come to provide their assessment. Based on the feedback from the dealer, the adjuster agreed that the failure would be covered, but just needed some more supportive evidence on the maintenance on my vehicle. They requested all of the oil changes and service records. Maybe I am part of the 1%, but since I purchased the Truck, the dealership has maintained all of my oil changes and services. They provided them as requested.
Thinking that this would be all they needed to get this repair started, I went on to order my oil and filter- not to hinder the turnaround time. Not so FAST... Endurance later called the Dealership’s Service department and told them that they were going to REJECT the claim because the recommended oil change intervals were not met. They didn’t ask for oil samples to determine if the oil change intervals inconsistency caused the lifter failure. Just a “DENIAL”. Again, I went to provide as much evidence as I could to help support the Interval inconsistency, by sharing with the Endurance Representative that I had been using fully synthetic Oil in the truck since it was purchased. The Oil change interval for the type that is used in 25K miles or once a year. My average change interval was ~14,500 miles. I provide Oils Specs, Supplier Technical reports, asked if anything else was needed to validate the services or components.
After no response, I reached out to Endurance and spoke to another “HELPFUL” representative. She appeared to understand my issue and concern and wanted to understand more, so she asked for more information. I sent her the documentation on the Oils and their coverages and intervals. She escalated this to her manager. “GREAT, looks like we have provided what they needed. NOT so Fast….“ She come back to the phone and said that her manager knows the brand and uses it myself and brags on the oil change intervals myself. However, he could not approve the claim because I didn’t follow the “recommended” oil change interval that they have in their system.
Understanding Service and Claims as I do and providing all of the consistent Oil change and service record, I asked if the company could split the cost with me. The Rep indicated that it was not possible. It’s was ever all or nothing. This is Crazy!!!! I could see if the adjuster said that the truck was not maintained, the parts were rusty, or that the oil was tested and Endurance had determined that the oil was “truly” why the lifters failed. They say and brag on the superior service and protection, but when the dust settles, maybe they are ALL just the SAME. They have me in a 24-month Payment Contact. They may cancel me or extend my term. My hope is that at least they look in to new approaches to claim handling, vehicle upgrades, OEM updates, Industry trends, and service improvements. Look out, here comes the EV’s!!!

Everything went fine with Endurance. They're great. I like their program, I liked the person I talked to, and they're also rated around the top four in the country. My main question was, since they have Cadillacs, if they authorize genuine GM parts, and they said they do. Not everybody does.

The words that Endurance has written down seemed like they have a little better product than the other companies that I looked at. I've filed a claim but they didn't cover it. They said it was a hose which is a wearable part. But it sounds like every company does the same on certain products.

All I got was a welcome letter, how to update automatic recurring payments and the disclosure of what their limit as far as sharing. If I had a folder or a pamphlet, which would be very nice to have, it would sure help me and make me feel better about it, too. Other than that, I was very satisfied with Endurance.

I did some research on different companies and Endurance was relatively well reviewed and they fit within the kind of price point we were looking at. But their reps weren't as knowledgeable as I would have liked. I needed to call multiple times to get all of my questions answered. But they were helpful and honest. So that was good.

Out of all of the companies that we researched, Endurance was the best option to go with. They offered more and had more discounts than most that we were looking at. The rep was nice and very professional. She helped us out. It maybe took an hour to get it all situated and ready to go so I love that she was there to answer any questions we had. I didn’t have an issue and neither did my husband. My car broke down and I didn't have a warranty. It was an unexpected bill and to know that if it does happen again, I can be covered by having the warranty. It covers oil changes and my tires so that's a little help too, especially with us because I have a family of five. It’s something you don't have to pay for.

I have a 2008 vehicle and there aren't many companies that would cover that. Endurance had a wide array of plan options and they also have a lower deductible. I tried to file a claim for brake rotors, tie rods, and wheel bearings which they are supposed to cover once a year. It was denied because none of the items were covered under the warranty. They said the brake pads were metal on metal, that's why they didn't cover them. My repair shop was very frustrated with them. They said that they spent two days, just back and forth on the phone with Endurance. The way that they handle the claims in the repair shop could be improved. There should be a direct line for the repair shop to contact them, instead of having to call the customer service number and be put on hold. But, they paid for the oil change.

When I bought my warranty with Endurance, I was apprehensive as I heard horror stories about the other warranty companies. But I took a chance as they were high-rated. I'm glad I did because when I had a claim, they handled it well without a lot of red tapes that a lot of companies could put through. A week ago, I had some issues with my automobile, and I called them up. I had it towed to the mechanic of my choice. My mechanic told me that the timing chain on my car had went and a couple of other things that went along with the timing chains.
They then corresponded with Endurance. Endurance sent an independent person out to check it and said to fix it and I paid my deductible. The repair process took three or four days as the part had to be ordered. I was impatient myself, but they provided me a rental car until my car was fixed. Within a week, I was back in my vehicle. Go with Endurance, give them a chance. If you state a claim, just follow up on it on your end, and they’ll follow up on their end.

When I talked to their rep, I asked him one question that he really couldn't answer and that kind of bothered me. I asked about the bad ratings up here and why people say Endurance didn't cover their car problems. He was beating around the bush and he didn't answer it to my satisfaction. I see that they don't focus on a bad review and they need to. More customer service reps need to explain it better than just telling me what they want me to hear and not answering the question. But they were very respectful.

Setting up the plan was pretty easy. The only thing that was kind of a glitch was it was supposed to be payments were the same as cash. I was shopping to pay cash, but when I told him I was gonna make payments, the guy raised the price. And it was a couple of hundred bucks. Also, the rep was offering me $300 if I signed in soon and that didn't appear. Those things were a drag. Those guys were salesmen, they're not mechanics. So since they won't be fixing my car, it's not like I hold a grudge against Endurance.

When I called back to find out why they didn't pay the 149, they said that it was just because they only pay for the certain parts for the brakes. The brake pads only cost 69.99 and that was what Endurance paid.

I was shocked that Endurance was willing to pay for something that was substandard instead of a comparable OEM ignition coil. That's not right. According to my reading of the warranty, it said that the ignition coils were covered but it didn't say specifically that it's for a generic ignition coil, not for a DENSO or an OEM Mercedes-Benz ignition coil.
When looking at warranties, it's helpful to know the maximum that the company is willing to pay for labor and a list of maximum prices for parts. Endurance was willing to send a little generic ignition coil and I wouldn't have to pay anything. But my mechanic, who is a Mercedes-Benz certified mechanic, said that the generic one was a piece of junk and he wouldn't put it in the car unless I insisted. In the end, he put in a DENSO, which is Mercedes-Benz comparable and I paid significantly more out of pocket than I expected. I'm looking at other options because I need to read contracts more in-depth so that I'm not surprised by something else happening.

Endurance has some stuff that my warranties on two other vehicles didn't cover. I assumed that it's bumper to bumper except for electric. At the initial point, they pitch everything. Once they go through all the coverages, the guy breaking down the coverages was very knowledgeable on each of the coverages. When I took my vehicle in, the dealership told me I needed to replace the strut. They called Endurance and told them what the issue was. They had to go through the warranty and see where it highlights what it covers that pertains to what we're trying to fix.
The guy that was telling us about it wasn't very knowledgeable. There was a difference between that guy and the initial salesperson. The salesperson would read off a coverage then break it down what the coverage means. The guy that we talked to at the dealership read it word for word and told us it is what it is. It was very vague and wasn't specific. We needed the detail so that we would know for a fact whether something was covered or not. Otherwise, somebody else can interpret it differently. In the end, the dealership was told the warranty doesn't cover the strut. It took us three weeks to get a no and I don't want to go through the hassle again. That changed my mind. I don't want to pay for something that doesn't cover what I need.
I'm trying to cancel the warranty but I'm getting the runaround. I called the 1-800 number that came with the bill and they gave me a different number to call. I called that number and nobody answered then I was hung up on. I called again and this time I wrote the 1-800 number down that I got. I was on hold for 30 minutes then it got cut off again. I called again for the third time. I was told to call back during business hours. Endurance sold me the warranty pretty well but while I was in it, it was as if I wasn't important anymore.

So far, I haven’t driven my car enough. If I only have 900 miles on my mileage and my car breaks down because it's taking so long to put 1,000 miles on my car because of the pandemic, that wouldn't be fair.
