My initial experience with this company was good. However do yourself a favor and avoid using them. When it comes to actually getting repairs done they will delay the repair as much as possible by constantly asking for more repairs or sending inspectors over and over. They did eventually cover the repair, but the bureaucracy delayed the repair by at least 4 weeks. I called when I initially took the truck to the shop and was told that they do cover rentals. They neglected to tell me that they max it out at $150 though. So they did cover the $6000 repair of my truck, but I had to pay $5000 for a rental while they constantly delayed.

I was upset ‘cause I had to restart this plan several times. I thought I was on the right plan initially, but I wasn't. I couldn't just switch or bump my plan up. I had to wait a whole 'nother 30 days. That part of Endurance is not fair. If you’re an existing member, you should be able to upgrade your plan. I was under the impression that I was covered, but all the time, I wasn't, and Endurance didn't do much for me. This experience hasn't been the best but Endurance helped me out. They replaced my water pump. Right now, my car’s still in the shop because we have to get in contact with Endurance before we can do some other things that need to be done.

I was promised an email with a copy of the policy. They said I had 30 days to decide whether to keep the policy or not. I am very disappointed if this is a indication of the level of service that I can expect. If I don't have the time to study the terms and conditions of the policy long before the 30 days I will have no choice to cancel what may be an excellent policy.

I purchased the coverage over the phone with them and they were very good. I gave them all my information and it was done. They sent me the paperwork by email almost instantaneously and I just had to wait before it was usable. It was wonderful. The last claim I had was when the wheel bearing was going out. I took my truck to my local guy and there was something else that was wrong with it. He replaced that and he called me back and told me what it was gonna cost because there was something that Endurance wouldn't cover. I ended up paying the $100 deductible and the incidental thing. They immediately paid my guy and I was out of there within a day.

I also had an air conditioning issue and I went to an air conditioning shop. I didn't know if they accept Endurance but Endurance is accepted by people everywhere. It's been nothing but outstanding customer service with Endurance. They're very helpful and they took care of me when I didn't know if something was gonna be covered. Everybody worked together very fluently and everything was very easy, quick, and convenient.

Endurance was supposed to be better at paying claims CarShield. Customer service was also reasonable. When I had a claim, that was pretty good because they had a lot of work they had to do and they did it. There was only one issue I had. The reason I brought the car in was there was an issue with the steering lock, which the car was intermittently not starting. That's not something I want to be just leaving alone and having to deal with. Endurance wouldn't cover that part because they couldn't get a code on it. But Mercedes was telling them that was the issue.

The only thing that was really upsetting was the claims process and how long it actually took for someone to assist me. When I brought my Jeep to the shop, I had to wait a whole week for someone to come out there. So, I had to be without a car and it was really inconvenient. The only thing I'm afraid of when I try to take my vehicle to a shop is that I have to sit there and wait when they could have just given me a rental car. They said, "We cannot give you a rental car until we know for sure that we can do this". I'm like, "This doesn't make sense. This is why I pay a warranty for".

I had to keep calling them every single day saying, "Did you talk to the people yet?" I also called the people myself, and they're like, "We got someone coming out there, but it's gonna take some time." I'm like, "I need a specific time because I'm at work and I have just one car." Endurance can give me some places but it's not up to them. They can't do too much and I just have to roll with the punches. But as far as my coverage, I like it. Anything else with the customer service and if I am late a couple of days, they're very knowledgeable in that aspect.

But the techs finally did it and everything was approved. However, I brought my car in on Monday and it didn't get done 'til Friday because they had to order the part. The part was supposed to be on the shipment but when the shipment got there, there were two missing pieces and mine was the missing piece. But I was happy because I got my own rental car. As an auto warranty insurance coverage, Endurance is adequate. It's fine compared to others and it’s not a fly-by-night outfit. I attempted to use the incentives but I did not follow the instructions. When you do those things, you have to coordinate it and then you apply it. But if you do it up front and then call afterwards, it doesn't work. An oil change is an oil change. Not that it requires training to be changed but if you do those ancillary things, you gotta get clearance beforehand from the service center to do that, which is a pain to do. Besides those ancillary things, there are also some freebies up front that you can use for other things. But it seems onerous or almost nonexistent in my neck of the woods.

The rep explained certain things that were covered and she said I get a complimentary key fob, which I never got. I wonder if I'm still entitled to that. And a few other things. She was very thorough and she said that the package that I would get is a little better than the cheaper package. And they had a special going on. It turned out to be $94 a month, which I'm paying through MEPCO Company. As much information as she could give me over the phone is what she did and she was very thorough with what was presented to me.

My vehicle started making a noise, and I took it to the mechanic, Integrity. They did some research on it. They did some tests on it, and they got back with me and indicated that there were some issues with some valves sticking. It was common in those vehicles and they had to do major surgery on it, concerning the heads of the motor. All that work was done. And it was satisfactory. They fixed the problem and got paid by Endurance. Integrity got in touch with them, explained the situation and they took care of it. Endurance asked for certain things, which were legitimate, like three previous oil changes, which I provided for them. I had a co-pay of $100, which I did. And that was it. Between Integrity and Endurance, they both settled that situation.

I received a letter indicating that there were some changes that would be added to the contract, or they were going to change the contract. People shouldn't change contracts in the middle of a contract. So I was gonna call them to delete the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee from that Endurance company and add the truck that I have now. I want to discuss what the letter states that I read and I wanted to see what that entailed. Other than that, Endurance was very reasonable. And from what I'm paying a month, it's a peace of mind that I can live with. It's worth looking into. It's a good company and I would recommend it.

Endurance's service is horrible. It didn't quite work out for me because what the sales representative had offered turned out to be a total lie. When I contacted them to give me a quote and signed up with them, it was like everything was covered from bumper to bumper. All I have to pay was the deductible. It turns out that I had to come out of pocket. Endurance goes by some sort of algorithm. Anyone knows that if you're taking a part out from a vehicle, it takes more than 0.7 hours to resolve that and no job on the vehicle will take 0.7 hours. Their algorithm changed twice during the course that I got from 0.7 to 0.8. It wasn't honest. The dishonesty is what I disagree with. I had to come out more out of my pocket to pay for something that should have been covered by the insurance.

It was an awful experience. They claim that they have no control of what their sales representative told me. When I had to speak to him, I was told he was no longer there and they said, "Contact one of these shops." When I contacted the shops, these were the shops that rebuild parts. Those are the vendors they have. I had to go through the process a few times, and their algorithm keep changing in terms of what can be done being covered. I have to cancel the policy because it doesn't suit me. I don't want to deal with the stress. I was very dissatisfied.

I have to make my payment every month on the 7th and Endurance takes it automatically out of my account. Everything thus far has been good. When I had to get the car repaired, the mechanic who worked on it told me when to bring it so I got it towed over there because my car ran hot and I couldn't drive it. He told me that if I got it there, he would look at it the same day. He did and once he determined what it was that afternoon, I got on the phone with Endurance and he spoke with them. He repaired my car within two days. I wasn't scheduled for an appointment because they were booked. But because it was just a water pump, he was able to get one in town rather quickly. Endurance paid him, and I went and got my car once it was done.

I had one experience with Endurance and I only got one experience to compare them to, which is with CarShield. And it was night and day. Endurance knew what kind of car they were covering when I called in. They let me know everything about my car and my coverage. Whenever something goes broke in this car, I want the original part. I don't want to put in a Camaro’s part in my vehicle, which was what CarShield was doing. But Endurance gave me the original part of my car. So, I was satisfied with that. The adjuster says one thing and what the computer says the time that it takes to do it is totally different. Also, they only covered a certain number of days when I had to use a rental car when I had an engine change. I had to pay the difference, which was like 500 bucks. Then, I get three oil changes per year and they only cover up to $50 on that. Oil changes now are 75 and better and my vehicle takes full synthetic, so that's costing me even more.

I've only had to use Endurance one time and it was 50/50. I had some front-end noise going on and I took it to a shop, and they informed me that my CV axles were damaged. They found a leak on my rack and pinion, and when they turned all the work in to Endurance, they covered the CV axles, but they would not cover the rack and pinion. They found a way not to pay for it is what it was. It was from wear and tear. The mechanic shop said it was just over time, that part goes out, and Endurance didn't want to cover it. My mechanic read the contract that I have with them and he said it should be covered and went back and forth with the person he was dealing with. The one time I've used Endurance was not a very good experience. The deductible was only 100 bucks but I had to pay $1,300 out of pocket for what wasn't covered.

They were telling me some things that weren't included inside my warranty and when I got the warranty and tried to get those things that were included, it didn't go. It was a lot of other things. So, it was a hassle before it was properly explained to me what my warranty actually includes and covers. In the claim that I had, there were some miscommunication with the mechanic and on some invoices, it put some things that I did not have done to my car. So, I'm in the process of getting that taken care of. I'm waiting for the mechanic shop boss to call me back and tell me why that mistake happened on my invoice.

Right now, the experience with Endurance is a hassle and I’m just trying to get this fixed and see what's going on. Endurance isn’t bad. STAY AWAY!!!! I called Endurance earlier this week to get pricing information. I was doing research to compare extended warranty companies, plans, and costs. I first spoke with Kara who gave me all of the details for (and was really trying to push) their most expensive exclusionary plan. When I asked for pricing for their other less expensive plans, she put me on an extended hold (red flag: I should have hung up then) and then Chris got on the phone.

Chris was extremely rude and tried to convince me that it would be a waste of time for him to give me pricing for the other plans because the prices would DRASTICALLY change if I didn't purchase the plan on the spot. Really? Then why did Kara just willingly give me pricing for the exclusionary plan? When I pressed him on this and said it was unbelievable and sounded like a sales tactic, he said I could believe or not believe it, but it was the truth. I persisted and eventually he spouted out some general down payment and monthly payment amount - after which I promptly hung up. Such nonsense! I know times are hard and they are trying to make sales but to think that I would EVER do business with them after that call is unfathomable. Beware! If they treat a prospective customer like this, how must they treat you once you become an actual customer. My advice - stay far, far away.

I purchased a policy with ENDURANCE for my 2008 Jeep Commander with about 164,000 and due to what I had heard about Car Shield and what prompted me to purchase the policy was I had just had a issue with my transmission and cost about $800 so I said I probably should get covered just in case going forward.

About 2 months later I had just recently traveled and a few days after returning back home on way back from work the jeep started running very rough and the check engine light came. I used an OBD scanner to see if any codes came up. And few came up regarding misfires.. So I had my vehicle towed to a jeep dealer thinking I wouldn't have to worry about any shenanigans, I also contacted ENDURANCE to ensure I did the process right. Which they told me I had. So after a few days the dealer informed me of what was happening and that they needed to explore further, which they did I had to authorize them to continue and they informed me that it would be an 850 CHARGE if the repair wasn't done. And to my surprised informed me in short I would need a new engine and that they could not even locate one.

The feeling I got was that this was not job that they wanted to do just by the conversation from the service advisor.. So they had contacted ENDURANCE to get my claim started. The service advisor told me they were waiting for photos and need receipts for last 3 oil changes but since I DO MY OWN I don't keep receipts for oil that I buy. But I have for parts or repair facilities so I tried to go back to store but they only go back 90 days so that wouldn't have helped so I sent copy of SERVICE RECORD I KEPT TO SHOW !!! THE MAINTENANCE I DO TO THE VEHICLE.

1st off I HAD TO CALL, to find out about what the status of my claim for an entire month YES AN ENTIRE MONTH..and having to had to borrow vehicle to get to and from work until my claim was open so that I could get a rental car. So just recently on another call to ENDURANCE I was checking up on my claim and was informed from the claims agent that the adjuster left a message to the service advisor "ON HOW TO PROCEED WITH THE REPAIR" and was waiting to hear back from same. I ALSO CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE 2 DAYS IN A ROW and hadn't heard back so I CALLED ENDURANCE AGAIN!!

Only this time I was tolded by claims agent that my claim was denied...I said "What"!!! Asked to speak to supervisor.. I was told it was denied to lack of maintenance???? So after a very lengthy conversation with the claims supervisor he stated the policy states that you must keep all receipts for repairs but even if they accepted the service records I didn't follow the that maintenance manual..I stated I bought the vehicle over 8 years ago and started from there and tried to stay as close to the schedule as possible..

****Note**** Since I first got the jeep I've always used Mobil 1 full synthetic and purchased the oil and filter from Walmart and if I had to use a service center had them use same..Anyway the conversation went from receipts to not following schedule then back to receipts and the service record shows that the vehicle was well maintained..An end result was because of ** about receipts I was denied..I hadn't even had the vehicle long enough to even save a new receipt..

I wasn't looking for a new engine the dealership said that one was needed. I'm sure it could have easily been rebuilt or such and I certainly wasn't looking to get a new vehicle since my vehicle had been paid off....So beware. Do not use this company or any for that matter. They use deceptive tactics to not have to do any repairs....

If I'm putting out money monthly when my car is not broken and when it gets broken, I have to pay all this money to fix it, it makes no sense to me. What is the point of the policy?

I left CarShield for the same thing and I was assured by the Endurance salesperson that their plan was better. But it seems like they're almost equivalent and there was only a slight bit more from what I was paying with CarShield. The car was in the shop the other day and there were two sensors that needed to be fixed. They only fixed one. The sensors are important to the day-to-day functions of the car. These are ABS, which have something to do with the braking system. I was also told that the TPMS pressure light was not important and I would have to pay to fix that. On the warranty paperwork, it says it's covered but Endurance said, it's not. There was also a problem with the AC. They said it wasn't covered because it was not the original AC even though it was. When I went to get the transmission replaced, they told me that I got a rental car. But they wouldn't cover the whole replacement of the transmission itself because it exceeds the limits of liability based on the mileage. After I did the transmission, I started doing the math and by the time I get done paying for this warranty, it's not even worth it. I just quit paying for it and I cancelled it.

The Endurance sales rep was very amiable & knowledgeable, but as it got closer to the 30 days waiting period before Endurance contract activation I had some reservations so I called to cancel the contract & get a refund. The customer service representative was very congenial, super-knowledgeable & helpful. He answered all my questions & pointed out a number of things I had not considered. He was more than willing to cancel the contract, however, without any pressure, & with an even better understanding of the advantages under the contract after speaking with him, I decided not to cancel. I had a starter replaced recently and that's probably the most that I've used my warranty. So far, the service has been good and I just paid my $100 deductible. I can get towing with my warranty too. I am a satisfied customer. The only drawback to it is the cost was high. I have a Mercedes Benz and that's probably a reason for it.

It was easy to sign up with Endurance. We went online to get the policy. We got the best one that we felt will fit us. We're happy with the option. But we had problems with a claim the last time. The motor and the oil pump went bad on the vehicle while we were driving. We took it to the dealership and they were trying to tell us that it was our fault because we didn't get the oil change. We provided them the papers showing that we did the oil change four times since we had it. But they declined to do the oil pump. Then they told us to have the motor brought down. So we had to end up getting a lawyer for them to fix the motor and they fixed it.

Endurance had no hesitation covering a water pump that went bad shortly after I began the policy, which helped out a lot because it was a breakdown and I was without transportation for a couple of days. But it did not cover a rental car. So, I had to suck that up myself and I had to pay for a serpentine belt replacement which was not covered somehow. That was considered normal wear and tear. But it was caused by the water pump going bad. I should probably find out more information about what's involved with getting a higher level of coverage because that was gonna break down now.

At the same time, I was having electrical problems with this vehicle and they just seemed to come out of nowhere. It was like a ghost. Windshield wipers would activate without any prompting, gauges would go to zero when I was driving, and all those warning lights would come on the dash, and air conditioner would stop working, the motor in the seat would run, so I was sliding back and forth, and the windows would not operate with the controls. This is at random, sporadically. So, the vehicle is in the third Jeep dealership now trying to get to the bottom of it. I took it to a jeep dealership where I had the water pump replaced up in North Carolina. They said I should replace the tip or the central control module and it's an expensive repair.

But Endurance policy on that was they considered that a fuse box, which is not covered under my warranty. So, that was a $700 repair. But the problem is that didn't repair it because the same problem came back and I went to the dealership that sold me the car because I just bought the car a few months before that and they gave me bad information on it. I feel they told me that it was a short in the radio that was causing it. So, I asked them to disconnect the radio. I didn't come back to Endurance for anything else because I figured they would say the same thing. It was a fuse box or it wasn't covered. And the next thing that occurred after I had the radio disconnected is I drove to Florida where I live. North Carolina is the summer.

I came back down here and it started again after I got here. So, I took it to an independent shop and they had a guy who I thought had gone through to the bottom of it and he said that it was in the amplifier that was in my car. So, we disconnected that and I ended up replacing the radio and amplifier because I wasn't having any more problems. However, two months later, it happened again. This was about a month ago. But now, it was not intermittent. It was just solid. I got a sliding roof and it was stuck open. I couldn't operate anything electronically. For some reason, the car was still running and it didn't sound like anything was wrong, but I felt it was unsafe to drive.

So, I drove it to the dealership here in Vero Beach and they've had it there for weeks now. And I've been walking, taking Uber and renting a car if I needed to go somewhere far away. Even though I've got that Endurance policy, I feel I'm alone with this issue because the dealership's response is not responsive enough and I didn't feel like Endurance would be very responsive either because they are supposed to be contacted by the mechanic or the shop that's working on the vehicle to get either an approval or a reading on whether what's going wrong is covered.

With all these diagnostic fees I've paid, which is usually a minimum of one hour labor, which ranges from $95 an hour up to $145 an hour, in replacing the radio and amplifier and the tip, I've had over $3,000 expenses without even considering the expenses I've had for my own transportation getting around. So, I thought a number of times, "I should just cancel my payment and stop this coverage because I'm I'm out here on my own. I'm going to everybody in good faith and giving good money for service that I don't feel like I'm receiving." That's the unfortunate part of it.

I get calls all the time about robocalls about, "Your warranty service is expired," and junk mail. When I called and asked Endurance, tried to press them about what coverage, because this is the fifth shop I've been in and they have so far racked up three hours, which is going to be almost $500, just to diagnose it. Apparently, my policy covers replacement of the whole wiring harness, if that's what they reported it as needing, but it doesn't cover any of the other stuff I've been experiencing, like replacing the control module, the grounds, and the things that are causing my radio to go bad. All these dangers that are happening because I'm driving around, not knowing what's supposed to be on the gauges.

I like the fact that I can pay for the policy by the month instead of having to go 3,000 or whatever dollars upfront. That's a good thing that Endurance offered. It's one of the reasons I wanted to go with Endurance, because that's kind of see how it goes. If I paid all the cash for this policy and all this happened without me getting any help, I would feel that much worse.

I have Endurance on two of my vehicles. When my truck went in a month and a half ago, I dropped it off at the dealership. They found out what was wrong, and I tried to start a claim with that. And at that time, the guy came out, said he wanted to send an inspector out. I get Endurance wants to send inspectors out. But while the inspector is trying to go out, I don't have a vehicle and I can't get a rental car without an approved claim. So, I'm out without my truck, without a rental vehicle, while Endurance sends an inspector out. That's okay if it would be two days. But this went on for almost eight days. They got an inspector out. After that, the inspector said he wanted to further tear it out. 10 days after that, I finally got an approval for that. So, I'm out without a rental car for almost half of a month.

In the middle of that, there was a part shortage out there. And one of the parts would be available for my vehicle. So, I went on and tried to find an option with getting the ABS controller. There's a company out there that will repair what you have so that you can do that. I laid that option to them and they said, "No, we're gonna get it ourselves." I said, "I don't know how you're gonna get yourselves when the manufacturer can't even get it, but okay." So, they said they sourced out, they would send it to the dealer to get repaired. But that didn't happen because they didn't even have one. So, they told me that it was on the way to the dealership to get put on my vehicle when nothing was ever sent out in the first place.

Finally, after they said, "Oh, it's getting delivered today," but there was nothing ever sent, and they came back and said, "Well, we don't have one. We're gonna go ahead with the person that can go out and just refurbish the one you have one." They were the one that I started out in the beginning. It was 10 days after I even started with that. So, I was without my vehicle for over a month. And half of the month, I didn't even have a rental car. That wasn't great. This time, with my other vehicle, Endurance approved the warranty after they had to send an inspector out there, but I still was out a vehicle for five days without a rental before I could get one before they approved a repair.

I've already prepaid for the policy, so there's no point. I'll keep what I have until it expires. Endurance should be more forthcoming when a new person is signing up and the car qualifies for all the additional add-ons. Also, the claim response was a week delay as far as approving. It was a failed transmission. I was out a car for a week, and it ended up to be a month.

I've always been pleased with Endurance until yesterday. I took the car in for new spark plugs and new wires and an engine air filter, which was due time maintenance-wise. When the dealership got underneath the car, they found that there was a strut that supports the engine and a mount to the front of it. They called Endurance and they said it was refused. So I had to pay it myself, but I was kind of disappointed because Endurance has such an all-encompassing package right down to brake pads and rotors. There are very few people that even touch that. I'm disappointed in this particular case. But a while back, I did a claim for my automatic transmission and that bill was about $3,200 on Endurance's part. I had Endurance on an '02 Buick, then I had it on an '05 Buick, and now I've got this '08. They’ve all been good. They call and give an okay right away.

But as soon as I called, they issued immediate credit to the garage. So it was covered and a few other repairs. The garage was paid within 48 hours. So it was really quick. Endurance was on point and really great.

I have the Elite coverage and it's very reasonably priced. I'm paying about 105 bucks a month. It could be a little bit cheaper, but the coverage that I get is great because they give me reimbursements if I need to rent a car, towing, or fuel. It's very, very inclusive. If you have a good vehicle brand, even though the mileage may be high, Endurance will cover it. So it really works out great. Overall, it's a great service. I'm very happy.

I took the car to the shop and Endurance said they don't cover some of the parts, but it's under the rules that they would cover some of the parts. But when they do cover, there's a $25 limit. I have to pay the difference on that. But everything else so far is good. They did everything on their part. Every time I need a repair, I send the work order in and it gets approved. But then I called Endurance and they cleared it up that it was definitely covered.

During the whole policy, everything was good. But Endurance didn't explain thoroughly to me that there was a cap on the amount that they would cover. When I found that out, I was coming to the end of the policy and there was no one to give me what my options were or if I can renew the policy if I want to. I ended up going to a point where I reached the cap and I didn't know it for like a week or so until I called in. I had to call Endurance about four times to speak to different people so that I could get help and they promised to give me a call back. But they didn't give me a call back about that. I would have liked to go further or get another policy.

So far, it has cost me more to have the warranty than it has for the repairs that they have covered. Also, they didn't cover the suspension, which was $4,500. I have a premium car. I bought the policy with Endurance about a year ago at Christmas, and I had a couple of small problems. The car broke down at a restaurant and there is a repair shop around the corner from the restaurant. They looked at it and they said that it was my thermostat. So, they replaced the thermostat. At that time, the repair guy said, “Oh, you got a fan motor that isn’t running.” So, he replaced the fan motor. It seemed it had taken care of the problem except about a month after that, it quit and my wife’s gone to work. Somebody looked at it and he said, “You need a new engine.” We had it hauled to the Ford garage, which was the closest one to where we were at. They looked at it and they said, “Yes, it needs an engine.”

They called Endurance and Endurance, right away, tried to find an excuse to get out of paying it. They kinda had 155,000 miles on it. They wanted to see every repair ticket we had. On a regular basis, we change our antifreeze at 50,000 and 100,000 and 150,000. I was always changing oil. I pretty much changed as the book said, but I didn't keep impeccable records. I didn't have any proof that I changed the antifreeze except that I had a receipt from Pep Boys that this one had been changed. The adjuster looked at the receipt, and it was for 154,000 miles. “The 4,000 miles over is lack of maintenance. We won't pay it. Goodbye.” I read the materials. There’s nothing that says you must have every receipt and that everything had to be done exactly as the manufacturer said. But as I talked to them, they said, “There's nothing we can do. You didn't take care of your car like you should’ve.”

I’m 90 years old. I've been driving since I was 14. I don't like to do things halfway. As a young person growing up, it's been a habit that every time I pull in a gas station, I raise the hood and check the oil. I always check and make sure there’s antifreeze in it. There was no excuse for that man being what he was. Endurance would not talk to me at all on the phone. All I have of options to do is put up some money and I’m going to arbitration, and I'm supposed to travel for this. I can't do it. So we junked the car and we bought a new car. We canceled our Endurance and they want to know why we were canceling it. I explained and I got no response from that at all.

Endurance never balked at changing the antifreeze or the thermostat, or at replacing the tire. I wasn’t happy there was only one tire. I wanted to change them all. They just paid for one, but I couldn't buy three more with it. They were too dictatorial. On this latest thing, I am extremely dissatisfied. I wish that they would make some changes in selling the merchandise. Never were we told that we had to have all the past history of our car's repairs, and everything had to be documented. We weren't told that we had to take the manufacturer’s manual and do everything as to the manufacturer’s way of saying it. This was never explained to us at the time we bought the policy. I won't go back to Endurance.

Signing up with Endurance was a pretty positive experience and it seemed like a very promising warranty program. I had a few claims around Christmas time and I was surprised when they denied certain things that I thought were included, but turned out weren't included. For instance, my car has a turbo charger and the coverage that I bought included that. But they don't cover the most common causes of turbo charger failure. So they try to hide behind a lot of nitpicky. Where it looks like it's covered on page 12. But then you read further to page 22 and it says it’s not covered.

Another case was when there was a part that was damaged by one of the parts that's covered. When that breaks, they don't cover the parts that get damaged. So Endurance has some funny little things where they try and find loopholes. The next one was a part that finally was covered that they then denied. I called Endurance and made a little bit of a fuss and then they said that I was right and it is covered.

The sales experience was excellent but it was frustrating the first time I needed to use the service. I was gonna cancel it. I provided the miles to the vehicle when I got the warranty. When I took the car to a BMW dealership to have an oil change, the mechanic penciled with the miles. But instead of putting 72,229, he put 72,300 miles. That number didn't coincide with the number that I had given Endurance, so they denied all my claims. I had to go back and get invoices from previous work I had done and invoices from work I had done afterward. I had to pull all that together and send it to Endurance to show them that what the guy at BMW did was wrong. I subsequently got it resolved. But I needed the work done anyway, so I ended up paying for the work that they didn't approve beforehand. But there was other work that needed to be done and Endurance paid for it because of all that. So it ended up costing me some money, but it is what it is.

My experience with Endurance was not good. I had to take the vehicle to the dealership and get it checked out. Then they had to call Endurance, which took a few days to get through, and they had to come out and check it. In the meantime, I was having a rental car. It was for five days for $30 a day. That's a drop in the bucket of what you got to spend. When they decided what I needed, they had to ship their parts. They had to put a new transmission in and I had to get rid of it the last week because the transmission was acting up again and I really didn't want to mess with it. I don't think I would do it again because I spent a small fortune on rental cars waiting for Endurance to make up their mind and do what they had to do. It was good when I put my order in for Endurance. But to get to somebody who would cancel me, it took three days before somebody would answer the phone.

So the warranty wasn't extremely beneficial at that point. I wasn't too happy. The repair shop did everything with the claims process and it was easy for them. Also, my transmission went out, which is a high-dollar item, and they gave me a used one. It performs okay but I thought they would give me a brand-new one. They told me exactly what I needed. They held it while I went and researched some other places. And I called back and signed up for it. I needed a new fuel pump and that was covered. And on my Lexus, they needed a new alternator, which was covered as well. So, now it’s running excellent. All I had to do was give the card and the list of those items covered to the mechanic when they brought it there. He called up and said he had no problem. I gave him the numbers and that was it. Endurance dealt with cars over 150,000 miles and based on my research, they had more perks. Customer service was spotty. I got different company names a couple of times that I’ve called. In the beginning, it was good. Every time my car needed to be towed, the towing recovery was excellent. They’ll take it wherever I wanted it, pick it up from where I wanted to pick it up from.

When I had to have a major repair that included timing chair work and alternator at a Cadillac dealership, the bill was 5,100. Endurance had an inspector come out. I was astonished at the amount of time it took them to approve the claim. We had two prior claims and those went through just fine. One for 800 and the other for 900. When the big one came, the car sat on the lot for a whole month, which was a great inconvenience to us because my wife was still recovering from COVID and that was our only car. We were catching rides and it was ridiculous. Once the inspector went out, he said they were only gonna cover $3,500 worth of repair. We had to come out of pocket for the rest.

When we filed the claim, when we go to a stop sign or stoplight, the car would die and we'd have to restart it. But the they said it was all involved in the brakes. So we put the brakes on and go to the next stoplight and stop and it died. We just took the car in and had it repaired. And it hasn't done it since. We used Endurance and I was shocked that it did not cover diagnostic coverage. They covered the repair. We just had to pay our $100 copay. So that ended up costing us $200 on the diagnostic fee.

We never got a list of anything that it covers until when we made a claim. They didn't send us anything. My husband talked to them on the phone, and they thought we all knew what they would take care of. Because in this case, it's always $100 copay. We understand that. But now, if we're going to have to pay a diagnostic fee every time we want to use it, they might as well say it's a $200 copay. And that was a little more than what we planned.

Endurance covered everything except for one thing they were saying that they would not cover. I had to pay for the battery and the maintenance but they paid $53 worth of the battery because I had the Endurance Extended Warranty maintenance plan.

When I get an insurance plan, it should cover everything on the car because I'm paying for it. Even though I have the top-tier plan, the Endurance warranty still doesn't cover everything. They had to fix the ABS sensor but I was supposed to get the N80 valve fixed too. That would have been $1,100 and they didn't cover that. I told them to hold off on it. I didn't know what it was until I got where I was going. There was a bit of a runaround. The person that was helping me gave me the wrong information, and I sat for two months not knowing what was going on. When I finally followed up on it, I found out that nothing had been done. Then the people that helped me at that point were very helpful. I was told it was some new person, and she gave me the wrong information.

As far as the issue, one of the control module things went out, and it was causing electric components of the system not to run. I have a deductible, and I ended up paying almost $500. I'm like, “Well, that's $400 more than my deductible. What's really covered?” So, I called and asked about it. They explained I can get some back. Then I had a process to go through with it. My Cadillac had a component that went out. They ended up paying for what was there. The whole bill was almost a grand, and I had to pay $450. I got 300 dollars and something back from it.

I was not happy with the lady that was not very helpful when I called in. I took my car in right after the holidays. I took it in on the 27th, and I called them on the 3rd, asking what I should get reimbursed for. She kind of gave me some wrong information. When I finally talked to the right person a couple of weeks ago, I had a check in less than five days. So, it was exceptionally well.
