Endurance's customer service is good. I called customer service yesterday to try to get a rental because my car is in the shop right now, but they said it wasn’t covered. They're helpful.

CarShield was charging me more than what Endurance charges. I purchased Endurance. Their rep did really good. He was very informative. He gave me more options than what CarShield did. They gave me rent a car, CarShield didn’t give a rent a car. I didn't receive my policy yet though. I would recommend Endurance because they offered more than CarShield. They offered discounts in hotels. There are a lot of things that I compared that CarShield did not offer at all.

Endurance's rep brought it home. He broke everything down to my wife. She drilled him by asking a lot of questions, wanting to make sure this is the right fit. He came right back. He didn’t even hesitate. He should be promoted.

I looked at reviews online and then the deal that was provided. If you took out the regular maintenance costs that Endurance covers, the final cost for the actual warranty was cheaper than anywhere else that I could get it. I got a few calls from a few different agents, so that was a bit confusing. But I was just working with one person at the end and everything was smooth. Everything was sent to me and it looks good.

I was purchasing a used car, which was quite expensive, so I went around and got a warranty. I wanted to make sure I had protection on it. I found Endurance online and it had good reviews. An insurance policy is only as good as the company that writes it, so I went on the reviews from across the country. I saw that people had good things to say about Endurance, so that ultimately led to my decision to sign up with them. The process went well. Their reps streamlined it, made it painless, and explained some stuff to me. They were knowledgeable.
I’ve reached out to them since to ask them questions about some policy coverage and they fell a bit short on that end. I didn't have a terrific interaction with the person. It wasn't a bad conversation, but I didn't get the answers I was looking for. It was vague and the person wasn't very engaging like they were before with my initial sales call. Hopefully, I don't have any issues with anything if I need something going forward.

I called up Nissan and Chrysler dealerships because I have a couple of Nissans and I have a Chrysler. I inquired about the best warranty to get and they all said Endurance was better than CarShield. Most of them didn't even accept CarShield. My purchase of Endurance was pretty straightforward and everything was explained to me. They were pretty lenient with the downpayment. Also, my first payment was due last week and I’m a little late with it. Endurance said that they were willing to work with me.

The gentleman sounded good on the phone and I went with what he said. Then he told me about a $500 reward for the diamond I chose, 250 at the onset for signing up that I would be able to go online and do some shopping and what have you, and then 250 after the third payment. Well, he failed to tell me that they were just discounts. It actually wasn't $250. I would have to purchase something in order to get it. Like for instance, if I purchase a $50 gift card, I would only get $5 off of that, so I would be paying $45. I couldn't use the incentive all in one.
I called back to ask about that and why I was told or led to believe that it would be something different. The guy was very rude. I asked a simple question like what's the next policy down and how much it costs. He went into a thing saying, "Well, why would you want to know that?" He gave me a very hard time about it and I just asked for the manager. Yet, he still wouldn't give it to me, so I never got an answer. I had to call back on another day and talk to a young lady and she gave me the information. The guy said the conversation was recorded, so someone should be able to look back and hear that conversation the second time I called them.
Then I read through the policy and there were certain things that I didn't like. For instance, no one told me about keeping records for the parts. It led to me believe that later on down the line and something happened with this car, and I didn't have the records with that policy, I would be denied. I stopped the direct debit coming from my account and I'm deciding whether I want to continue with that warranty or not.

Endurance was one of the few that would give me the warranty that I was looking for with the amount of miles that I had on my truck. The reps were very informative and pleasant to speak to. And any questions I had, they answered right off. It was straightforward.

Endurance goes for longer miles. I signed up with them and I didn't have a really good experience. They promised things that didn't come true. They don't explain things thoroughly if you ask questions about what to do if you have a problem. They don't tell you that when you have a problem with your engine, it goes to a third party to get done. It's not Endurance that you're going through.
I made a claim and I got so frustrated. The service facility had my vehicle for so long because Endurance was not providing enough information to them and wouldn't okay things so the service facility could go ahead with the work. I took my car out of the place. That cost me $189 of my own money. The $100 deductible thing was not true. Endurance also wouldn't pay the hourly amount of the service facility that I took my car into. I would have had to pay a certain amount of the bill and this was not said in the quote either. In one month's time, I've already paid out $900 in payments to Endurance and payments on my car for having that job.

The application process was very simple and I've been happy and satisfied with them. However, there were a couple of things that bothered me. One, I was quoted a certain price and then when it got down to it, it ended up being $100 more ‘cause of a new program. I got over that and then, when they set up my policy, they neglected to mark that it was a Highline maintenance, which it should have been. I called them, but it took several, several, several phone calls to finally get it corrected. I would also always have to follow up with them instead of them calling me back.
I spoke with several different people and they kept telling me that it would get fixed, but it took a while. I almost canceled the policy because of it, but they finally got around to getting it handled. Despite the issues I've had, I would still recommend them. Ultimately, they got things rectified and the claims have been simple so far. I went to the shop when the rain sensor stopped working and I had an oil change as well. I paid the deductible, and the shop had to submit for a claim to Endurance.

Having protection for your car is valuable because you don't know when it's gonna break down. You need to have some kind of security. When I purchased the car, I made sure that they gave me that package for coverage, so I wanted to make sure that I had that. Sometimes you buy something and then when you get it, it's not what you think. They start telling you, "It doesn't cover this, doesn't cover that." I made sure that when I asked, and they told me that it covers this and that, then I was okay with it. I asked about the coverage, what it covers, and how much, and my interaction with the rep was a nice one. I also asked the dealer about Endurance before I did it and they said that it was good.

He made sure I understood before we hung up and that I didn't have any other questions. So I was satisfied with that. As far as I know, I got the best warranty I could get from Endurance.

The extended warranty that I had on my truck runs out in February. It's a 2012, and it only has 88,000 miles on it. But it's a Lariat that has all the options. I felt with the low mileage, and as nice as I have kept the truck in the original condition, I wanted to make sure it was protected. Because I'm getting ready to retire and I didn’t wanna stare at some of them big bills. The Endurance rep answered every question I had and was very helpful the entire time. He did an excellent job. Endurance has me set up for monthly payments. Everything went well.

Endurance needs to fix whatever is going on with their client's complaints. When I went and looked, the Better Business Bureau had 690 negative reviews and that scared the heck out of me. So, I'm not really sure that I have a product I can use. I don't feel confident with what I purchased. But, the prices were good and they said some wonderful things. Signing up was very easy.

I took my car in for a tune-up and I was offered an extended warranty. I already had one but I was told that the one I had wasn't a good one and that I should go with Endurance. I never needed an extended warranty so I don't know how the other one worked. But it was highly recommended by my car dealership. I switched to Endurance and the guy I worked with did everything. He also informed me about everything. Everything’s still fine so far.

I called Endurance and told them the make and model of my vehicle. They looked it up. I told them what I was looking for which was if anything goes down, I would have some kind of maintenance insurance that could cover it. They told me that with their plan, I pay $205 upfront to sign up for the program and it's $97 a month. Two things must happen and it must be maxed out. One is it must be 30 days and the mileage on my vehicle should reach over 1,000 miles so that they can show that it's an active vehicle. I asked if the plan covers everything to which I was told yes. I then asked how it works. I was told I take my vehicle in and pay the $100 deductible.
On Friday, I had an issue where I got something wrong on the belt and two gasket valves were leaking. Endurance said they didn’t cover any of those. That wasn't how they described it to me on the phone. They pretty much took my money and ran with it and I didn’t appreciate that. I talked with a young man who asked how much my bill was. I told him it was $1,800. He said they would go ahead and take half of that out and put it toward my contract. But that doesn’t benefit me. I got the insurance for a reason. They sent me a form, I filled it out and sent it in. Right after, they charged me $97 for the month. They were so worried about getting my money but they couldn't help out a customer that they had given faulty information to.
I was looking online and Endurance was rated as one of the best maintenance insurance companies. But after talking to a representative and dealing with this situation, it was totally against what they said the program was there for. They were also supposed to mail out the contract that tells me what services I’m available to utilize. I had to call Endurance and tell them that I didn’t receive anything. Two days before I took my vehicle in, I got something in the mail. 30 days had passed already. That left a bad taste in my stomach as well. Endurance is a company that is not truthful to members on the phone. They will be sending me a letter so I could cancel my service with them.

A lot of my friends have Endurance Warranty too and they said it was all right and good, so I went with them. I've had no problems signing up for it. They explained everything out to me and it's been going smoothly. It was a dude that talked to me and he made everything all right. He told me the price and he told me what plan to go with. He talked walked me through it. The customer service is good too. My engine light kept popping back on and off and right now, it's my third time taking my car back. It needs a starter in my catalytic converter.

Mitsubishi Outlander
I have a friend that goes around and does evaluations for different insurance companies, to tell whether somebody’s abused it or hadn't changed the oil until it turned to grease. He told me everything that was on television was junk and he didn't like the one that's been advertised all the time. So then, I started searching and I asked my phone. It gave me 5 or 10 of the best insurance deals and Endurance came out on top, so I went with that.
On the first call, I said, “I'm going to check out some other ones. Call me back.” A few days later, they called back. They were cool because they weren't trying to push anything. They are informative too. When I printed out all the material that they sent me on the computer. I read through it and it seemed to be comprehensive. I used to do all of my own work because I’m a retired aircraft mechanic. I worked for Northwest Airlines for 39 years and worked on cars all my life also, but the thing is I'm 75 years old, and I don't want to crawl under another car to save my soul.
I have a Mitsubishi Outlander with a V6 engine and it's been a really good car. It's got the total package. The only thing I would tow would be a trailer to haul stuff to the junkyard, but I haven't towed anything with it yet. I've got a little over 51,000 miles on it because we haven't been going anywhere since the shutdown. It's still covered by the 100,000 mile warranty that the company has, but that warranty is a little sketchy because if you have to tear down an engine, it charges you for seal replacement. It means that it’s costing you the teardown and rebuild. All they're going to do is put in new parts or whatever was broken. The warranty from Endurance covers the seals, so that's what I found good. Also, it's a $100 deductible, which is good as well. So far, I'm happy, but I haven't had to use it, which makes me even happier.

When we first signed up for Endurance Auto Warranty, it was great. We thought we were going to save quite a bit of money on a refinance that we did. But, the day after I signed up for it, we ended up losing $400 a month in income. So, I called to say “Hold there, wait. Because I’m just not sure if we can swing it right now." The rep said, "Why don't we just try it, see how it goes. You can cancel at any time." He did his job and gave us a really good deal. Everything was sent out to us right away and they were really good about asking us questions. They listened super well and I really appreciated that. This warranty buys peace of mind. Our vehicle is the only vehicle that we have. So we want to make sure that we don't have any major surprises in the future.

I purchased my car and I was on the impression that I purchased an extended warranty. It's important to have one so that if anything goes wrong with your car, you take it to the dealership and they would able to resolve the problem without having so much money come out of your pocket. I found out when I went to get a repair done to my car that I didn’t have an extended warranty. I only had a service agreement so I ended up paying quite a bit of money out of pocket for the repair. If I had had an extended warranty, my experience would have been so great.
I called one warranty company and they wanted too much money. My buddies told me to go online so I did and found that Endurance had a better plan than the other warranty companies. It fit my budget and my needs. The application process was very easy. The lady rep was very friendly and easy to work with. She helped me and she explained everything. She was very thorough. And unlike other companies that were pushy and wanted you to make a decision right then, the lady gave me an opportunity to find out if I did have a policy with my previous person. She also gave me the flexibility to give her a call. She gave me her personal telephone number to get back to her. That was great customer service. I have been telling quite a few people about her. I was happy to know there is a company like Endurance that is this customer-friendly.

Also, it has a lot of electrical components, which is very expensive if you don't have any aftermarket insurance or other warranty. I googled what were the top five aftermarket warranty companies. Then I chose Endurance, because I read a lot of reviews and I saw a lot of good things about them. Everything went well when I called. The gentleman that helped me was awesome. He explained everything well. He explained a lot of points that I needed as far as what would happen in case any powertrain part broke down, just the steps I need to take, and that when I first purchased the insurance, I have to wait a couple of months. So, I told him, “Well, give me a week and I’m calling you back.” I called him back, and then we went over stuff. And then I said, “Okay. We'll go for it.”
I was gonna call Endurance and tell them that because of the pandemic, people weren’t driving. I’m not driving my car. So, they should lower that 1,000 miles to down like 500 or 700 miles. It has already been 30 days. But I didn't put 200 miles on my car. I haven’t gone anywhere except to doctor's appointments or to the store to go shopping. The guy from Endurance that I was working with was great on the phone and their coverage seemed reasonable. But I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the ability to pivot during these times and adjust the waiting period due to the fact that most people were working from home these days. For example, my wife used to drive 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year like your average American. But now that she's working from home five days a week, she drives about 8 miles a week. So we'd have to wait 90 days or 30 days and 200 miles, which 200 miles would take us several months, and the 90-day, 1,000 miles would take us more than six months.
The waiting period should be 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. But so far, everyone that I've spoken to has been extremely helpful, friendly and professional. They totally understand where I'm coming from. When all this COVID hopefully settles down in May or June, maybe I'll revisit it and I'll look at my options. I'll probably come back and get the same policy I've had and then of course, that waiting period will be satisfied in 30 days, no problem.

Endurance covers a lot for the cost and it's well worth the money. Even if you have to break the cost down into two different payments, it's very affordable. I have a 2016 Ford Explorer and I was way overcharged for an extended warranty with another company. I had to use it and they gave me hell. I went on Google then I read the reviews. Endurance had almost 5 stars and once I knew what was covered and what the cost was to me, it wasn't that bad.
The gentleman that I talked to was very friendly and informative. I'm not very versed in warranties, but he was forthcoming. I added the first car and I told him I had another car. The price he gave me was good, which was no problem for one car. When I added the second car though, it was a bit above what I was looking to spend at that point in time. It was the holidays. I didn't want to pay the price of the two cars and he was willing to split the payments. One payment covered both cars and then three weeks later, I was able to pay the rest. Both cars were still covered immediately, so that was helpful.

I even asked the rep, "Can I write the down?" She was patient enough to have me write it fast.
The only thing that was different was the phone number that I wanted them to use. They used my husband's phone number as a primary contact and that was exactly what I told them not to do. I was very upset because of that 'cause my husband is going to change his number. When I called them, even though the representative took care of me, she wasn't very nice. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, he said he was definitely going to deal with that and I should be receiving a new packet within two to three weeks. That's what I'm waiting on.
I don't know how flexible they are with billing. That would be a good thing if they are 'cause I get Social Security and I don't always get it on the same day. When they charged me last month, it was on the 20th. This month, I'm going to get on the 27th. I have to call them to see if they can give me some type of extension until the 27th. I'm sometimes skeptical of salesmen over the telephone but I was assured by them that they were number one, that they paid claims properly, that they had a good reputation, their fees were reasonable, and that I should consider them. I spoke to the salesman supervisor, who further convinced me that it was a good choice and that I could drop the insurance anytime I needed to or wanted to if something happened to me medically or my situation.

Endurance sold me this warranty with a vehicle that had 153k miles at time of purchase. They sold me on the numerous things the declaration page "claims" they cover, and with a high mileage purchase I thought, sounds great. I purchased the 3 yr/50k mile warranty for $2975. First claim was denied for a timing chain replacement with Endurance stating I had insufficient paperwork for my oil changes. Even though I had the work order from the shop, along with the checks where I paid for the service. Second claim was denied for internally lubricated parts problem in the rear differential. Once again, clearly a stated covered repair according to Endurance warranty.
Endurance stated that this was normal wear and tear and therefore not a covered repair. So my question to them was, a truck with the miles mine has, everything that is stated as covered could be considered "normal wear and tear" and deemed 'Uncovered Repair'. I was curious why they took my $2975 knowing that any and all conditions with my vehicle could be considered "normal wear and tear".

I liked what Endurance had to offer and that it was also rated number one. It was easy to talk to them about things and get the information I wanted. The price was right too. I had to wait till the very end of December and I originally spoke to this guy, Fred. He got in touch with me again which was fine. But after I first spoke to him, I got a bunch of phone calls from all kinds of other people calling about Endurance to try to sell me the policy. It was a little bit of a bother. That was the only thing I didn't like. Ultimately, I never got back in touch with Fred so I just called the 800 number and bought the policy. I wanted to buy the policy before the end of the year and they were helpful as far as all these little extras that they had in the policy. I ended up changing my mind at the last minute and they were easy to talk to about it. I was gonna get five years but I ended up getting seven years.
I had a warranty prior that's still in effect so it's kind of overlapped a little bit. They explained, "If something happens, you could do this with that company then use this part of our company,” which was nice. They weren't trying to say, "Just keep using your other companies. Don't bother us.” But they could give a little more of what isn't covered because there's not a lot that's not. They could put that a little more in the forefront. That way, it's easier to know what is covered. For a layperson, you can't just rattle off all the systems in a car. The rep went on and on about what was covered and after a while, my eyes rolled back in my head. It's good because a lot of stuff is covered but I was losing track after a little while.

The initial customer service experience and signing up was very good. I was pleasantly surprised. The guy who signed us up was very thorough and answered all of our questions truthfully. The coverage was as described too. That in itself is a plus for the company. There wasn't any exaggeration which often sometimes comes with these kinds of aftermarket products. I'm assuming based on the rating of the company that if there is a claim sometime in the future, they will make it.
The experience went a little downhill once it came time for me to be able to manage my own account. I'm disappointed from the point that we got the temporary password letter. The letter gave me my temporary account number and it doesn't work. It's so hard to get ahold of them. There's no customer service number. It's just an email exchange and the response that I got from when I sent the email when I couldn't log on didn't even meet my question. I looked everywhere that I possibly could to find a direct line to the company, and I couldn't. Everything was through Mepco. I called Mepco and they said they needed to transfer me to the company themselves but my call got dropped. It's a bit frustrating. Endurance should make it easier to contact them.

They were able to answer a lot of questions and walked me through that. I looked at some other companies that had comparable coverage, but they were either more expensive, or one looked like wanted to charge me monthly.
I had to do a lot of probing to figure out the different options that were available for me, which was kind of difficult because they wanted to sell me on a certain plan, or coverage, or with monthly payments upfront. I had to explain my situation and my desire to pay it all upfront versus over 18 months or whatever the payment plan was. People should be aware to ask the salesman all the right questions.
I ended up going with some variant after I did a series of questions as far as mileage, number of years, coverage, payment plans, paying upfront versus paying on a monthly installment. It wasn't until I got all those different variables down that I was able to select. It was not like they provided those upfront and that was the most frustrating part about the whole experience. They went on to say that when the transfer case ($4500) completely fails, they will not cover it because the "servo" was bad, which led to transfer case leaking! There is NO WAY to know the "servo" was bad until your transfer case goes bad! So how is anyone to know to get the "servo" fixed!? Impossible! They never told me about this $500 fee when I bought my policy.
I still paid them the $500 to maintain my policy and get the approval on the transfer case. They gave me the name of a company that only sells through dealers. So, I went online again and looked up best warranties. I looked at the reviews on Endurance and those were good. It was helpful too that they are charged by the month rather than an all upfront contract. I haven't needed to use the warranty yet but the buying experience with Endurance was good and easy.

CarShield is a fake. When my car broke down, I took it to a Mercedes dealer and none of the things were covered. CarShield didn’t even give me a payment plan. At least they could have done it and I would have paid it little by little. So, I had to tow the car back out of there and do it myself. I saw Endurance on the internet and I decided to try it. When I was buying the warranty, they had payment plans. If they don’t cover the piece, they will have them it done and then make a payment plan with me. They’ll pay, and then I’ll pay them. I still haven’t used Endurance yet but I gave it to a lot of people already.
