They did a good job (Wind Shield Repair). They are fast a responsible plus friendly, kind. When I got my windshield replace they were honest and fair on prices. They call to make sure that you are satisfied with your service plus remind you that your warranty is still valid and, "Are you having any issue. If so please come in and lets us help you". I like that. Most places just don't care but they do.

Champion Auto is a great company. They did a wonderful job with repairing my 2008 BMW 328i. My car ran hot and found I needed a electric water pump and all the other components that goes out. I was informed of what was wrong with my car, they call me while fixing my giving me a timeline of what time I could pick up my car. I have already recommend them to other people I know. I just wish that the warranty company could have paid more with helping me but I am thankful for having CarShield. Thank you all for your support. And thank you Champion Auto.

I bought an extended warranty from CarShield. Yes their Sales tactics are high pressure. The warranty coverage was provided by a third party, Interstate National Dealer Services. INDS will go out of their way to find a way to deny coverage. The contract has an A to U list of exclusions, and they will find a way to deny your claim from their endless list of exclusions. The most common gotcha, is the part is a covered part but it didn't fail. It's "wear and tear" and “we don't cover that”. You know they will not go over the 12 page contract in the sales call.

CarShield came in the mail and I ended up getting a good deal with them. CarShield started out real high and I said, “No, thanks.” And then they kept working until it was something I could afford. The warranty worked good. I had used it on my truck when the front axle seals went out. It took a couple days for the adjuster to get here and bless it. The dealership said it’s broke so they had somebody come and say, “Yeah, it’s broke.” The truck was down for about four or five days but, other than that, it was no big deal. The dealership called and handled everything for me. I didn’t have to do anything but show them the policy and other stuff. They had the part overnighted, and the truck was back on the road and going a day or two later. I hope I don’t have to use the warranty again but it’s nice to have it if I need it. I got the extended warranty for the last two trucks I’ve had and they've paid off in the long run.

I called CarShield to see what it was about and to check out the payments. When I was trying to decline the offer I was harassed. The payment processing specialist was being condescending and insulting about my time and money. I had to verbally tell him that I was getting frustrated and that I was tired of his assumptions and that I was about to hang up on him. EVEN AFTER THAT, he still continued to speak down to me and harass me. He obviously cares more about making a sale than about actual customer satisfaction. All I wanted to know is if I would be able to call back when my financial situation changed, but after this encounter I wouldn't even call back if it did.

Representative was very polite and helpful. I️ could not afford the first two quotes that was given. 1 rep continued to ask relevant questions which resulted in an amount that I️ could work with as a deposit and monthly payment.

I called this morning trying to get some information on my new vehicle. At first everything was fine with the call but all started wrong when I said I was gonna wait and get back later on. They went far harassing telling me that I have to get a package insisting being very pushy. When I said no, they just hang up without saying thanks (I said, "Thanks for your time.") or without telling anything. He sounded upset because he didn't sell. You guys need to be courteous no matter if people buy it or not.

CarShield called and told me that my warranty was done and they asked if I wanted to renew it. I did and they gave me a better payment. They made the payment how easy it was and not expensive because I try to avoid spending and they explained everything well. Once, my car was checked out and I needed a part for my car, their customer service helped me out. They told me it was going to be expensive but they would cover it so I was grateful for that. It was great having CarShield and I hope I keep having an insurance. It's easy to work with them and I would recommend them.

I know that paying for repairs on vehicles is expensive so I decided to get an auto-warranty. CarShield gave me a call and they were a little pushy on trying to get me to take the sale but other than that, it was good. The rep I spoke to also did a good job. We had some repairs done about two or three months ago. We took the vehicle to the place where it would be repaired and they did all the calls to make the claim. The coverage has been good and it paid for the repairs. We already had three repairs done on it and it was over $3,000. That's what the policy is so it covered itself. I'm satisfied with CarShield.

Fast and quick service. Amy ** recommended a $300 savings for paying everything up front which I did immediately. Thank you Glenn ** for finding this company for me. I have a 2008 car with 97,000 miles on it and it sounded good to have the protection in case something went wrong with it. Six months ago, I had one experience with the transmission on my car and I wasn't really too satisfied with it. I thought they should put new parts in the car instead of going to another junkyard and getting parts to put on it. They didn't even try to find a brand new part and they told me that was the way it's going to be. I tried to tell them that I'm old and I live here in Pueblo but go back to Kansas. What am I supposed to do when it breaks down in the middle of nowhere because they fixed it with junk?
They told me to call somebody to fix it but there are places out there that you can't even get cell service and there's not a town in miles. They kept insisting that it's covered under warranty but that doesn't do me any good out in the middle of nowhere. I realize it's under warranty but if you can't get it fixed what do you do? They kept insinuating that you can get it fixed so they must be some big city boys and they don't know what the country is like. It so happens that I got lucky and I have no problems with the transmission but they didn't seem to be interested in me out here paying my premium. All they could tell me was it was under warranty and that was not a very good situation.

Great experience, fast and efficient customer service. I called and did not wait a long time before to be taken care of. Also very nice and helpful people. My agent was fast to respond, and help me out in each and every steps. She put me on a less than two minutes hold and fixed my issue right away.

I have an older (2007) car, so I decided to acquire an auto warranty. I saw CarShield’s advertisement, so I went with them. While I had a reasonably pleasant experience with their vehicle specialist, I was not happy with the one service that was done because of the procedures. It took CarShield a long time to get anything worked out. It also took their representative a long time to make it to the car dealership. In turn, it took CarShield a long time to get the car repair okayed.

My warranty with the dealership had ended and CarShield contacted and got a hold of me. And since I've had the extended warranty, I've had a good experience every time I dealt with them. We had to take my AC converter into a dealership for a claim and they already had a rental waiting for us. Everything was smooth and it was a quick process, and I had my car back in a couple of days.

Tried to get CarShield on an NV200 Nissan that I own. My van has only two seats. It is my personal vehicle. I do get mileage from my company when I use it for business. CarShield is profiling me as if I am a taxi cab and they will not give me a quote. I think I am being discriminated against.

My 2012 Cadillac was a brand new car. However, it was on a lease when I got it at the beginning. So I decided to get the extra extended warranty. I find it very valuable to have an extended auto warranty policy for peace of mind in case something happens, especially for me, who got the car on lease for three years and then buying it for four more years. I got offers from CarShield and my experience with their salespeople was good. When filing a claim, I go to the dealership and tell them what's wrong with my car, and then they contact CarShield for me. Although there have been a couple of issues with CarShield, everything has been pretty good for the most part.

Very helpful answering all the questions I had, even sent me a copy of my contract VIA email so I knew my coverages. I will recommend CarShield to everybody. I have had no problems getting repairs covered at all with my car warranty with CarShield. Having the warranty is a peace of mind knowing I will not have huge repair costs at all.

I bought a used car and I didn't realize that I didn't have a warranty. My son told me about CarShield and I tried them out. Everybody at CarShield was nice and the service was prompt. I had an incident, so I filed a claim with them and I was pleased with the service. Everything has been really good and I have recommended CarShield to someone at the senior center that I go to.

My credit wasn't good enough to get an extended warranty for my vehicle so I waited like a month after I got the vehicle and then I got CarShield. I never had any problem with them. When the car's warranty had a conflict with the shop I had them call the dealership that was giving me problems with it and they helped me out a lot. It was a really good warranty company. Everybody should have an extended warranty because it saves you a lot of money.

Do not buy this insurance. The Claims department not only are slow, but the people in the Claims department are both rude and belligerent. My car has been broken down for over two weeks now and CarShield still has not approved the work.

My mom received an urgent letter from them as well as phone calls stating that she needs to extend her coverage on her vehicle. Bottom line, she didn't know of this company and had any ideas how they got her address or number. She finally called to see what was going on after they continually harassed her and the rep was very pushy after she stated numerous times she wasn't interested because she was on a fixed income. I then had to take the phone because my elderly mom was getting upset, he then had the nerve to ask me why don't I pay it for her! That right there told me this company was out of getting money and was a complete SCAM! What kind of company tries to push people into committing to something they've stated that can't afford right now. I'm reporting this company ASAP!!

I just called to request replacement cards. Luke was very kind, very helpful, very resourceful. He answered all of my questions and provided more avenues for me to Venture off into. I didn’t want to pay the full price for repair work when my car breaks and having an extended auto insurance policy is definitely helpful, so I decided to get an auto warranty and my mechanic recommended that I use CarShield. I started using them with my first Mercedes eight years ago. The payment for the auto warranty was a little expensive, but it was cheaper than what it would cost if I had to repair the car. The reps were very helpful. They called and asked me to renew the warranty for my car, but I had gotten rid of that car, so I told them that I had already sold it and to transfer my warranty over to my new car, and they did. Usually, I hand the warranty book to my mechanic and he handles it from there. He has filed a claim for me with CarShield. So far, everything has been good with them, but it would be better if they would give me a better monthly rate.

When I took my car in for the 60,000 mile check, I had no idea I had several major problems... It seemed to be running great. The dealer called me with an estimate of several thousand dollars, and then I told him I had CarShield. After our $100 deductible, we paid less than a 1/3 of the original estimate. Love the coverage and the security of knowing exactly what CarShield will get fixed!

Back in Sept my transmission went out on my Ford Taurus and I had to get it rebuilt. CarShield paid for all of it with no hassles and no questions. I was skeptical at first, but after this incident I am feeling totally secure with my vehicle. Thanks CarShield because if you were not there I would of been out of business.

Traction control was going off, and loss of power. I went to dealership close to me. They unplugged the sensor that talks to mechanic, then my cruise. Went to dealership I purchased the car from and they changed a sensor. No problems so far, and my cruise control is back.

This company is the best to have. They will work with you to help get your car cover. If you are on disable they will help you out to get it cover. CarShield and their administrator, United Car Care went out of their way to deny my claim. Initially, their salesman indicated that as long as there were no claims during the "Waiting Period", the vehicle was covered. My claim was after the "Waiting Period" had passed. They denied my claimed based on two issues. It was a preexisting condition and an aftermarket oil filter was on the vehicle. My response: They issued their policy on a 12 year old vehicle that had 133,500 miles, shouldn't they expect issues due to previous wear and tear? I was also able to produce a receipt for an oil change and with previously mentioned filter by an ASE certified mechanic within 700 miles of the breakdown. Really good experience while enrolling with the service. Got “new car coverage” on my 2015 BMW that has a rebuilt title. I received great customer service for extended warranty on my car. During my phone call. I was not on hold too long. A representative helped me right away. Asked me the necessary questions in what I wanted to do with my vehicle. Answered all my questions as well to get a better understanding of all warranties that will be covered. It was easy to make payments with CarShield. They just took it out of my bank account every month. Then I had an engine failure and had to do an engine replacement. A procedure that should've taken three or four days took over a month. It was really slow and very methodical. They shipped the wrong engine on two different occasions so they had to be shipped back and I was without a vehicle for an entire month during this process.
They only paid for a loaner for six days which is how long it should've taken to swap the engine out. Having a policy was great for me because the policy cost me $3,000 and the new engine was $10,000. But the customer service part of it and actually getting to use the warranty in a timely manner was a really bad and disappointing experience.

I got this Warranty extension to cover my 2004 Chevy Silverado; the ads make it a point to have Mike Ditka & their non-celebrity salespersons claim they cover sensors. Nope, not so much, unless YOU "UPGRADE". My FIRST call to them, for knock sensors, I'm informed they're "not covered under (my) plan". Therefore, as a widowed, disabled USMC veteran on a fixed income, I have to pay NINE HUNDRED ELEVEN PLUS DOLLARS; this is AFTER several months of getting "dinged" for $134.00+/mo. When I questioned this via phone, their "representatives" seem to feel their job is to make THEIR UPSET CUSTOMERS feel stupid. Thanks a lot, CarShield - rest assured, I WON'T be recommending your pathetic "service".

Signing up with CarShield wasn't hard. I called them on the phone and told them what I wanted. I added another car for someone else and they set up my payment plans and it's been working great ever since. When I had a transmission issue, I didn't do anything but tell Nissan who I had the service contract with and they called in the claim. The process was very easy and CarShield did a good job for my car.

My other auto warranty ran out and I had just finished paying for it at the bank. I had moved up and I’m in North Carolina, and I wanted to get a warranty on my car ‘cause it wasn’t under any warranty. We had the car towed to the dealer one time and CarShield immediately approved the new starter and guided me into the car. It was great and life-saving. There’s no way I could’ve paid $1200 to $1500 myself. CarShield was excellent, and the dealership said that they have never had a company that was as sufficient and good as they were. The guy at the dealership was praising them endlessly. Plus, CarShield's customer service team was very nice.

So far, it has been a satisfactory experience from CarShield. I purchased the warranty through the phone and the rep was very professional and has a good attitude. Everything went smoothly. I had filed one claim and it was taken care of. Having an extended auto insurance is worth it. I kept it after I had the transmission installed and I'm planning on keeping it until I get a new car. I've NEVER done business with this company, yet I have received mail from them, more than once, implying that I purchased coverage from them and warning me that I haven't called to activate my coverage! It also claims my warranty is expired, which is false, as I paid for the extended warranty when I bought my car! Additionally, the envelope claims it is "personal and confidential - open immediately" just to fool you into thinking it's actually important! This is deceptive and dishonest and even if I were looking for extended coverage on my car, I would never choose a company that resorts to shady business practices like this!

As you mentioned, our mailers DO suggest consumers give us a call IF their factory has expired. We explain coverage is available through us and to call to activate a service contract. We also mention in the letter that CarShield is an independent, nationwide company marketing vehicle service contracts on behalf of leading third party administrators.
We have coverage plans available for consumers on all types of budgets. If you're still interested in a service contract, one of our specialists will be willing to work with you and assist you in fitting a plan into your budget, as repair bills, once the factory warranty has expired, can be costly.
In the meantime, we have removed you from our calling and mailing lists. You should no longer receive notices from CarShield.
Once again, we do apologize about any inconvenience our mailer may have caused you.

DO NOT get this. They do not pay. You pay them all this money and when you need them they have loop holes so they do not have to pay for repairs. They will tell you that you have to authorize for the machine shop to tear down your engine so they can find out what is wrong with the engine and that they will pay but when it comes down to it you have to pay for it when they determined that the engine is not covered. So you out thousands of dollars for the tear down that you have to do and the payments you have to make every month. By the time you pay for all that you could of just bought a engine for that price. So be very careful. They will lie to you and make it sound like such a great deal but in the end you are the one getting the short end and they get all the money. They are a big rip off so be very careful

A month ago the ac died in my car. Took car to my mechanic of 15 yrs; it was the compressor. He filed the claim with Carshield (Am. Auto Ins.) and ordered new compressor for car. We waited long time for Carshield to approve his repairing the car. Three weeks ago Carshield said they would not pay for new compressor, that I had to have used one installed!!! Relayed this to my mechanic; he doubts if used one will last. One month from filing claim, I am told used compressor was "ordered" but they could not tell me the exact arrival date. I am livid. No way this should have taken over a month before my car gets fixed; IT IS OVER 100 DEGREES OUTDOORS, AND I AM SUPPOSED TO DRIVE WITH NO AC??? FOR A MONTH???

The first time I ever tried to make a claim on a simple AC condenser replacement, it was denied. The rep on the inside clearly led the service writer to say what he wanted to hear so the claim would not be paid. The service writer said it was the strangest claim call he had ever done with a warranty company. I would run as fast as I can from this company. I work in the insurance business, and if I were to lead a customer that way I would lose my license.

The agent took the time to understand the concern, referenced the same document and then addressed the concern by removing us from a mailing list we should have been removed from several years ago. CarShield was more affordable than the other auto warranty provider that the auto manufacturer had so we went with them. And we just have the direct withdrawal in making the payments for the warranty. We had a claim with them about a minor issue in our car and their process was very, very easy. My husband went to the dealer and the dealer took care of the claim. We hardly had to do anything.

My truck was getting old and the price of CarShield's warranty wasn't too bad at first, so I got one from them and they're taking the payment for that off my credit card. In my first and only claim with them so far, my truck was down and I had to put it in the shop, and CarShield took care of business. But my truck stayed in the shop a little bit longer than I thought it would stay there. I'm working seven days a week and it's a good thing that I had another truck. They got my truck fixed but I wish they could fix the customer’s vehicle a little bit faster and get it out before three or four weeks of staying in the shop. Other than that, I've had a good experience with CarShield. Their auto warranty is worth having and they do not cost me a bunch of money out of my pocket.

While searching for a warranty for a used vehicle I recently purchased, I decided to call CarShield after hearing Coach Ditka on tv and Chad Benson on the radio. Payment plan was manageable and provided me with my goal of being able to drive my car (where I put on an excessive amount of miles for commuting for work) and be assured if any breakdown came along they would take care of the cost of the major repair. I did my part in making the payments as contracted and also kept the maintenance of my car up to good and recommended standard (nothing out of the ordinary)... This was successful for the first car I had and they took care of replace a transmission and also alternator.
My second car I picked up another contract with this company and their customer service was even better the second time around and they helped fit into a manageable payment plan that I knew was worth it. One breakdown did occur with my car and they took care of it promptly with the mechanic/service. All very successful and top notch.

Sent letter marked "IMPORTANT" and "Personal and Confidential Open Immediately" with no return address, in an effort into tricking me into thinking it was an important communication to get me to open it. Once I did, I realized it was spam/junk mail. I'm not sure how they got my address, but they are not affiliated with my auto dealer and I never requested a service contract. If they have shady marketing practices, I assume they also have shady service.

Purchased an extended warranty online 7/14 for a vehicle with 30 days to cancel. Called and canceled on 7/26/2017 with cancellation number **. Told a refund would be issued. No refund has been issued. Called back and was told to file a dispute with bank it would be faster. That is not right and I would like for you to issue a refund back to my debit card as the dispute process will take 120 days before I get my credit per the bank. Thank you.

Went to get coffee at a drive through. It was a rainy day (a Georgia monsoon kind of day). After grabbing my cup of Joe and about to ride off into the storm I notice my window wouldn't roll up. I raced in the monsoon to the car shop to get my window fixed. Car Shield advised me on what steps to take to make an efficient claim.

The customer service of this company does not help at all. Call to cancel the policy and I did not want to cancel it. I had to close my bank account. Why not get the cancellation over the phone. I also did not get a refund, either. What they have done with me is a scam. Anyone ever sent me the policy. The only way I knew about them is when they sent me the notice of cancellation. Because they could not get the money out of the account that closed. Horrible my experience. I still send them messages by email and they never answered me either. If you do not want headaches, stay away from this company. Another thing they never told me that they sell third party policies.

I have a German car and it's a very complicated and expensive car. My friend was paying CarShield about $150 for his car, and it wasn't bad at all so I went for it. The payment comes out directly from my account, so I never made a late payment. At first the payments were pretty high, I told them that I knew some people who got the same policy for cheaper price and they worked with me on that. CarShield did cover me but it took a long time for them to do so. It lasted over two months and they didn't provide me with rental service. It was a hassle for them to pay for the whole thing. They expected me to pay out of my pocket and then they said they would reimburse me. But I told them that I don't trust them.
When I had some problems with my radio, I called them and they said they didn't cover it. I was upset because I thought they covered everything. I was paying about $4,000 for the coverage. Also, they gave me a leaking anti-freeze motor and I had to pay out of pocket after it was installed. But I don't know any information about the motor. I was hoping they would send me an email or paperwork so when I sell it in the future I can have that as a reference.

CarShield was suggested by the dealership that I bought the vehicle from. Purchasing the warranty was easy, seamless, very friendly and fast, and it was all-around a good experience. Making the payments, which I do online, was also easy. And when I filed a claim, I thought it was going to be complicated, but it was the exact opposite. It was super easy. I just called them, told them what was going on, and they went ahead and took the claim. Everything just took care of itself. Having the extended auto insurance policy is good and in the long run, it's worth it, and it takes the headache out of having to worry about getting the car worked on.

I'm a "new customer" to Car Shield - which is why I didn't (5 star it yet) - as I haven't had the opportunity to use the service yet. I've been reading some of the comments / reviews on the Consumer Affairs web page, and most people are satisfied with this company. It's a little irritating that you have to WAIT 30 DAYS before you can use the service, (not saying that my car has issues - yet - as it doesn't), however, they should make it to where it's available immediately - not after 30 days. I received a good payment deal (both down payment & monthly payment for the next 24 months - so they do work with you there budget wise), however the 30 day wait is a bother unfortunately. I take care of my vehicle - service it every 3 months - but still, one never knows what could happen in the midst of that wait. Car Shield - please consider CHANGING that rule of yours! Thank you.

CarShield is a total rip off. Everything which has gone wrong with our truck was conveniently not covered by our contract. Read fine print and read what causes transmissions to fail. If you have a leaky gasket and it goes into your transmission, that is on you!!! Transmission is not covered. I wish I would have saved my money. They are totally taking people's money.

The extended warranty that I had when I purchased the vehicle had expired and it was in my best interest to continue having a warranty. The specialist at CarShield explained the benefits when I purchased my warranty and making payments was no problem. A few months ago, repairs were needed to the vehicle and I contacted them to inquire about having the repairs done. My experience with them is excellent. It's better than I expected and I’ve already recommended them to a number of people.

The experience was simple and painless. One minor complaint was when I originally called to use my warranty for a repair. I got a recording stating their hours began at 7 am but was not able to get someone to answer the phone until 9 am. After that every one I spoke with was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the process. The place where my car got repaired stated that Car Shield was a great warranty company to deal with. I had expected that other items that needed to be replaced because of the failure of the covered item would be covered also but they were not. In their defense, after rereading the what is covered section of the warranty it stated they would not be covered.

I called and scheduled an appointment with my local dealer to fix my sunroof that was stuck open. When I arrived to get checked in, I handed them my extended warranty pamphlet, signed on the line and walked out. They called and got approvals, and estimates and called me later that day with my options. I never had to argue or disagree with anything they said. It was clean and simple, and in my busy schedule, that's a HUGE benefit!

When I first bought my Honda Accord, I had a warranty from the dealer and a warranty of my own. However, when my AC broke down, I took it to them and they never helped me do any work on it. It was supposed to be under warranty and I have warranty with some other company they gave me. I was paying too much with them, but they never fixed the car. They even charged me $73 just to change one light bulb, but the light bulb was nothing but $4 and some change. I told them I wasn't going to keep my warranty with them and decided to go with CarShield for my Volkswagen Jetta. The reps at CarShield were wonderful. I had some noise with my AC one day and had their number. I talked to one of the dealers close to where I live and the company took care of my service. Everything was great.

I was driving the truck one day and it sounded funny. It started shaking and I thought I hit something. My truck only had 94,000 miles on it and the motor went out. I didn’t think the motor was going out, so I had it towed to the dealership. The dealership called me the next day and said the motor was gone. I told them I’ll call CarShield and see if the case is on the warranty. CarShield told me that they'll send somebody down to look at my vehicle which took a few days. The guy that came out told me that they need to oil change dates. I told them that I have my own shop and I change my own oil.
Then, I had to wait for somebody to come look at it, probably going to fix it, then wait for the dealership to tear the motor down to find what’s wrong with it inside. They told me that one of the valves has lost compression and nobody knows why it happened. I was then out of a car for a month before they decided to pick it. I also had to borrow a car. They told me that if they deny my claim I'm going to have to pay $1500 to tear it down, and I agreed. The way they said it was like I did something to the motor to make it go out. It's ridiculous. But they ended up paying for it. Then when the dealership told them what’s it going to cost them to put it back together, they decided they're now going to go get a crate motor, which they should have done in the first place. That would've saved a whole of time and effort.

I have had my vehicle in the shop for 2 days now waiting to have to air conditioner replaced. Each time a call is made someone else answers and then less is covered. The representatives have been rude and will say they will call you back, then don't. They now are saying that they won't cover more than half the parts needed to fix my air conditioner let alone the fact that I have had to pay out for a rental since they won't call people back. My vehicle has been in the shop since yesterday morning and won't be back today either. What kind of company says they will cover things then doesn't. 2 time that parts have been sent then in told they won't cover the parts needed. It went from me just paying the deductible to paying for the whole job to be done at the shop.

My old car’s old and it no longer has a warranty so I got CarShield. When they sold the policy, I disagreed about its details. I’m a little bit upset because the main part of my car was not really covered. When I had my engine messed up, they only covered a certain part of the engine. I called and asked them why they only fixed a part of it. That’s not fair, but I just wanna fix the part. I ended up paying half of it and they paid the other part. Right now, they need to change those. I just wanna make it fair to every customer. I wish I almost cancel my policy and my agreement. But I wanna wait and see if it happens again then I would change it and go to another company. It’s okay overall.

Purchased extended warranty thru CarShield. Paid approximately 3500$ for warranty listed in my brother's name. The car had an issue. Went to a certified GMC dealer. They verified that this was covered under the warranty. The company that CarShield had placed the insurance with was Marathon. After many failed attempts and the service dept. being talked to rudely, we had to intervene. CarShield stated that they no longer worked with this company they know they were not paying on justified claims.
However at no time did CarShield notify their customers of this issue. So basically we bought a piece of paper worth nothing. Marathon is being investigated by federal authorities ie; insurance commission for such acts. CarShield stated they would "pro rate" a refund however they knew for some time about this issue and should refund their customers fully for they kept this information from the consumer. I would NEVER purchase a warranty from them EVER!!!

Wheel Bearing replacement Cadillac SRX - Coverage was there when I needed it. Easy transaction, they dealt directly with the service department and all I was responsible for was the $100 deductible. Took the car to the garage, gave the service department the insurance number to call and that was it.

I purchased the Gold plan in Oct. 2015, I just referred a friend Gllenn ** who will be calling. I have never had to use my warranty, but I like the friendly people, and not having to wait when I call with a question. What prompted me to purchase was a repair bill for a rebuilt Transmission over $2000.

The customer representative I spoke with (Steve) was very nice, well spoken and answered all questions I had about the product. I was well pleased. The coverage I purchased is much better that what I was offered at the dealership where I purchased my car, plus it covers it a lot longer.

The call was simple, very informative and professional. I am very satisfied with the coverage. My vehicle is 13 years old running great. I mileage is 106 and a little more but still covered. The coverage she gave me was affordable, taking my budget into consideration and understanding.

Hard sell led me to report the mileage on our truck from memory. When I later checks I discovered that I had significantly overstated the mileage. It took numerous phone calls and nearly thirty days to get a corrected contract. It's corrected now.
We do apoligize for the delay. When we update miles the administrator needs to re-write a new contract. That is why we let our customer's know it takes 7-10 business days to receive it in the mail.

Someone called me after I've had the car for a year and placed me with CarShield. The lady we spoke with was very lovely. However, I found out later after getting five hundred million calls from other people, that it wasn’t Subaru’s policy. She said she was representing Subaru. They all say that but I didn’t realize that because we have not lived in the United States for that long and purchased a new car. However, I was very happy that I had the program when I had a problem. I filed a claim with CarShield for the air conditioning. My car had less than 20,000 miles on it and the compressor went out. When I took it to Subaru, they said I’ve got the best company there is with CarShield because they know them and CarShield is very good about their claims and to their people. We had an excellent experience and if I get another car, I wouldn’t feel bad about using them again because they are highly regarded by Subaru.

I've owned several vehicles and have never purchased an extended warranty outside of what the dealer offered. CarShield was the first one ever and figured like most warranties it would be a waste of my money and I would never use it. Well I was completely wrong. I've had the extended warranty a little over half a year I believe and the air compressor on my car died.
I called customer service to find out what would be covered and how quickly I could have the work done. Customer Service rep answered all my questions and what she said would happen did. I took the vehicle to a certified mechanic, they called CarShield to have the work needed done approved and they did immediately over the phone.
Once I brought the vehicle back to have the work done, the mechanic's billing person raved about how quickly CarShield paid the bill and that was one of the best warranty companies they had ever dealt with. As a single mom and someone that works Midnight shift a reliable car is very important. Knowing that I have this extended warranty brings great peace of mind.

My experience with CarShield has been great. My car is getting older and I want to make sure so I depend on the auto warranty. The representative explained everything very well and was very professional and friendly. It was overall a positive experience. The payment was affordable and budgeted into my expenses. Everything was fine. I filed a claim and they covered it. Although initially, they questioned the amount of time that I had the insurance before I file a claim and they were putting up an argument and a big fight over covering the repair. But I pointed out that I was meeting the expectations and it’s my end of the deal to comply with the contract requirements.
They also requested to take apart everything in the engine, so they could have someone come over to the shop and look at it, which was a bit unreasonable. But the person from the company showed up to the shop, looked at the car and later on was able to read the computer printouts without taking the engine apart and accepted it so it was okay. And they covered it so it was a happy ending. I would totally recommend them and have recommended it to friends and they have gotten the insurance.

I have been try to get my car repaired for over 9 days now. I am still waiting! First I took my 2013 Volkswagen to Goodyear automotive to have my air conditioner repaired. CarShield did not agree to the price so they sent me to another shop. They didn't agree with their pricing and want to send them the parts and only pay for used parts and if I wanted new parts I would have to pay the difference plus I had to wait for an inspector to come out to inspect the car which would take 24 to 48 hours which took 3 days and then it took 3 more days to get approved and they kept putting me on hold. It was very frustrating to say the least. I really felt they were try to get me to give up on getting my car repaired. I was told by others who have purchased these kinds of warranties that that is what they do. I have never been so ??? disappointed and dissatisfied. I would not refer CarShield to anyone ever!!?

Left front door lock actuator failed. The repair took place without problem. The Service Adviser praised CarShield - saying that approval for the repair was one of the quickest he had ever experienced, payment also was made in a rapid timely manner.

I've been receiving notices from CarShield for several months now about renewing my car warranty. I finally called them back last week and spoke with a representative who stated that she would ask me after she got my info if I wished to sign up. She eventually proceeded to try to get me to tell her my credit card info without asking if I wanted to sign up. I stopped her and said that I wanted to look at my budget, as the monthly rate is nearly $200/month, plus a $300 activation fee. She said, "Let me see if we can get you a better rate," and put me on hold.
Then a man came on the phone, which was confusing since she hadn't said she was transferring me to someone else. He proceeded to offer me lower rates. (which consisted of lower monthly rates over a longer period of time). I told him that I had told the lady before that I wanted to check my budget and that I still needed to. We had this same conversation 2 more times before I hung up on him.
He kept trying to tell me all the reasons why I need a warranty, which I am aware of. The point was that I did not know at that moment if I had the money to put into it, and that I wanted to make sure before I committed to something. The bottom line is that I found him to be very pushy and rude by not listening to what I was saying. I will not buy a product from a company who tries to push me into buying it right then. It makes me feel like it's a scam or I'm being tricked.

On June 6, 2016 at precisely 11:54 am I called CarShield's customer service line and spoke to a customer service representative named Jonathan. This was one of the WORST customer service encounters I have ever experienced. Needless to say I carefully document every conversation I have with any company that I pay money to for rendered services. I am in the process of composing a long and meticulously detailed letter to CarShield and its executives. What led up to this conversation was lie after lie coming from CarShield. I'll be the first to admit that Jonathan got the brunt of my frustrations but instead of putting my mind at ease and actually making an effort to fix the problem, Jonathan yelled at me, interrupted me and explicitly said that "What the other representatives told you isn't my problem".
I don't know what CarShield's filtering process is for recruitment but this particular representative should have NEVER been brought on board the CarShield team. I have been in the service industry for 15 years and though I've seen behavior like this before, I have NEVER witnessed any of my employees (and I've hired dozens) treating any of their customers like this. After I hung up on Jonathan I called back and was finally put on the phone with a manager named Matt who was very cordial and who kindly cancelled my account and refunded it. However before speaking to Matt I spoke to another rude representative named Madison who refused to put a manager on the phone. Granted I was still very upset from the conversation I just had with Jonathan, but if you listen to the call you will hear that I did ask her 4 times to speak with a manager and she absolutely refused to put one on the phone.
The call with Madison took place same date at 12:07 pm. I then hung up on her and called back at 12:10 pm and spoke with a very nice representative named Mariah who immediately put Matt the manager on the phone. I will still write my letter but just in case anyone from CarShield sees this feedback and wants to verify what I've said, the contract # was **. You have the date and times for each call as well. If you listen to my correspondence with all 4 people you will hear a sharp distinction between the very low standard of service I received from Jonathan and Madison and the very high standard of service I received from Matt and Mariah. That is how you will know that people like Jonathan and Madison are not meant to be in customer service.

I have never been treated more poorly in my life until I called CarShield to activate my service contract. The gentlemen who was helping me was rude and trying to guilt trip me into activating this service. I was confused on why I had to purchase this plan when I was never told I would have to pay any money for this service. He kept arguing with me when I was trying to talk and kept interrupting, he kept talking down to me and was trying to push me into something I wasn't sure about. When I was talking he just hung up on me. Is that good service? If that's how they tell their employees to treat customers then I don't want anything to do with this 'service'.

I was calling around to different places and found CarShield's number and they've been able to explain to me everything the way I could understand it. They were nice and unlike the other provider who's getting upset at me because I couldn't understand what he was telling me. CarShield's specialist also answered our questions and I was really pleased with what I was hearing so I decided to go with them. It was difficult to make payments for the extended auto warranty but we got that figured out and have it taken out from our checking account to make it easier. For now, my experience with them is excellent.

The ignition would not turn off, so I took the car to the dealership, it was diagnosed as needing the gear shift replaced. I gave the information to the salesman, he called CarShield, it was not called CarShield then, it was Vehicle Protection Center. Vehicle Protection Center took care of immediately, with no problem. I almost cancelled the account, but one of the salesman talked me into keeping it, I'm so glad that he did!

I don't have CarShield but was greatly interested especially after seeing so many good reviews. When I talked to one of your customer service associates he was rude and belittling. He had no respect for what I said and advised if I didn't sign up now I would not be able to because my car has too high of a mileage and too old. I was happy the customer service representatives worked out a payment plan that I didn't have to struggle with. They were thorough in explaining the coverage and if any problems arose I could call them with any questions or concerns. I felt at ease after getting off the phone with the representatives.

My wife and I had a different person each time we discussed the contract. They were great. They answered all questions fully and completely. The only delay was our slow research into the Q/A. Well-trained crew. I hope the actual product live up to our expectations.

So far so good with covering anything that is wrong with the car. Service is good and the dealership can do the repairs that will be covered in the extended warranty. If there is a problem, I know I can call to speak to someone about the warranty.

Signing up and then canceling was very easy - no pressure. I liked that they were professional and made things easy for me. Automatic withdrawals so I never had to worry about sending in or missing payments. I think that anyone looking for an aftermarket extended warranty should look at this company because they are professional and I always got a human when I called the customer service line. That is HUGE for me.

I received a phone call from the company carshield.com. I had saw their commercial on television and requested a quote online. I was asked to verify my zip code, make and model and mileage on car. I was also asked if the engine light was currently on. The caller said he ask because obviously they do not want to insure a car that currently has issues. The caller also stated because of this reason they ask you at the end of the call to make the payment immediately. He told me what was covered (5 year or 100,000 mile powertrain). He was very nice, polite and cordial.
He went on to explain that the powertrain was basically the engine, transmission, water pump and some other items he listed but I couldn't keep up. He was going so fast. He also explained you could use any dealership nationwide that's certified, there's a 100.00 deductible, 24-hour roadside assistance and a free rental car. The cost would be $878.00 per year payable at once or the ability to make payments starting with a $295.00 down payment. He stated it would cost $4393.00 for the 5-year period. Then he asked how would I like to pay. At that point I said I did not feel comfortable paying for something set up on my visa card without having the particulars in writing. He said I could go to www.carshield.com while we were on the phone and look up protection plans.
I stated that I would prefer to receive something in writing with my name on it and the details of the warranty and he absolutely exploded. He began yelling and screaming at me. He called me a liar. He said I was trying to make up an excuse to get off of the phone. He said I know hoid and we'll that if I pay with Visa there is fraud protection. He went on to yell if they were fraudulent they wouldn't have the spokesperson they have and they wouldn't have spent millions on commercials all over the world. He refuse to let me speak. Each time I tried to say something he yelled right over me.
It was just crazy. What would be the point of me lying. If I weren't truly interested I wouldn't have attempted to get a copy of the policy in writing. I would have simply hung up the phone. His name is Jeremy **. I started to call in a complaint, but I realize if he felt that comfortable yelling and screaming at me then his company must condone such behavior. After all he was introduced to me as a specialist when the call was transferred. Do I think what they offer is great? I don't know. It sounds good, but at the end of the day if a company employee yells and screams at you simply because you asked a question and because you wanted what they were telling you in writing before you pay your hard earned money then that's not a company I want to do business with.

The representative was very professional and answered all my questions. The coverage exceeded my expectations. The most important aspect was a 0 deductible for 5 years of coverage. WOW. I would recommend CarShield for their thoroughness and civility on processing my coverage.

Between Doug and Janell, I found the right protection plan for my 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid. I hope NOT to need services under the plan; but, as modern cars are LOADED with electronics and computers, and navigation systems combined with XM Radio, things are bound to happen. I saw the commercial on TV and I really like Mike Ditka, so I filled out the online form. I have 5 other offers for a warranty on my vehicle, so I shop around compare the offers. The sales person was very rude and stated that we already compared our service in the market area and we have the best product. In your company's eyes that may be correct, but I just wanted to check the other offers and I told him that I would call back after I make the other calls and that was not good enough for him. I know that they work on commission and that is why I didn't want to waste his time until I was sure. I told him that I do these things my way, which researching the insurance companies behind the warranty because warranty companies go out of business all the time and the consumer is left stuck.
His attitude makes me feel like your company will have the same attitude, so I am very suspect about what kind of service I will receive, which is a bigger factor to me than the price because I have had 2 aftermarket warranties in the past with great results and good service was provided to me and my mechanic. I don't know what my decision will be, but it's not a great start. I only filled this out because the reviews that I have read show positive results and good service, so I am very confused as to what kind of service I am getting for my dollars. I just thought that I should let you know. I did not order the product yet and I am unsure if I will.

I called in this afternoon to inquire about the service program. I spoke to a very polite gentleman named Parker. Parker was very professional. However, when he tried to assist me further he put his manager on the phone who did not address who he was meaning his name. He was very arrogant and unprofessional and for that I would NEVER do business with this company.

Just felt the sales person was a little aggressive and felt pressure to change my carrier but did it anyway cause it is better but was conflicted about changing. Was told I would get a refund from other carrier. Will get a refund but it will be sent back to the credit card the payments were taken from. Not happy with that because I am back to making payments again. Told I would cash back so I do not know how I am going to handle this and that does aggravate me.

The process was timely. The warranty service was great. The only issue in the process was dealer inflicted. The dealer had to call for authorization twice. I don't think they took the time the first time to get the required information to CarShield. We would recommend CarShield for extended warranty.

I was in a bind and tried to get a quote for an extended warranty. Every breath the representative took was followed by an attempt to get me to give them a credit card number. "Can I get the 16 digits on the front of your card." "If you were to get a policy what type of card would it be... Visa, etc". The only information I gave them was my zip code, make and model and year. I low balled the mileage. I hung up on them because I didn't like what they were offering. This was months ago and I still get calls from more than a dozen numbers from people who never tell you the business name and now tell me my supposed vehicle is now a 2010 instead of a 2005 (which I told them). CarShield is the first and only place I provided that information and it was direct over the telephone. My theory is that they bumped my model year up to the minimum they could underwrite a policy for me (older cars wouldn't be covered or higher mileage).
I can only assume by the massive attempts to get me to provide a payment card, that they would take my money and if I ever made a claim they would simply say I told them it was a 2010 and any third party mechanic claim would be denied. They never let me explain that I want to be off their "list" and that I don't have the actual vehicle anymore and never had the "2010" to begin with. I even called back one of their numbers and it had me press 9 to be removed, but yet the calls remain. DO NOT ever do business with CarShield. What they are doing to me is harassment.
