    I don't have CarShield but was greatly interested especially after seeing so many good reviews. When I talked to one of your customer service associates he was rude and belittling. He had no respect for what I said and advised if I didn't sign up now I would not be able to because my car has too high of a mileage and too old. I found that extremely rude and will NOT sign up or refer any of my friends or family to this business. Let me know when you have better customer service. Thanks.

    I received a phone call from the company carshield.com. I had saw their commercial on television and requested a quote online. I was asked to verify my zip code, make and model and mileage on car. I was also asked if the engine light was currently on. The caller said he ask because obviously they do not want to insure a car that currently has issues. The caller also stated because of this reason they ask you at the end of the call to make the payment immediately. He told me what was covered (5 year or 100,000 mile powertrain). He was very nice, polite and cordial.

    He went on to explain that the powertrain was basically the engine, transmission, water pump and some other items he listed but I couldn't keep up. He was going so fast. He also explained you could use any dealership nationwide that's certified, there's a 100.00 deductible, 24-hour roadside assistance and a free rental car. The cost would be $878.00 per year payable at once or the ability to make payments starting with a $295.00 down payment. He stated it would cost $4393.00 for the 5-year period. Then he asked how would I like to pay. At that point I said I did not feel comfortable paying for something set up on my visa card without having the particulars in writing. He said I could go to www.carshield.com while we were on the phone and look up protection plans.

    I stated that I would prefer to receive something in writing with my name on it and the details of the warranty and he absolutely exploded. He began yelling and screaming at me. He called me a liar. He said I was trying to make up an excuse to get off of the phone. He said I know hoid and we'll that if I pay with Visa there is fraud protection. He went on to yell if they were fraudulent they wouldn't have the spokesperson they have and they wouldn't have spent millions on commercials all over the world. He refuse to let me speak. Each time I tried to say something he yelled right over me.

    It was just crazy. What would be the point of me lying. If I weren't truly interested I wouldn't have attempted to get a copy of the policy in writing. I would have simply hung up the phone. His name is Jeremy **. I started to call in a complaint, but I realize if he felt that comfortable yelling and screaming at me then his company must condone such behavior. After all he was introduced to me as a specialist when the call was transferred. Do I think what they offer is great? I don't know. It sounds good, but at the end of the day if a company employee yells and screams at you simply because you asked a question and because you wanted what they were telling you in writing before you pay your hard earned money then that's not a company I want to do business with.

    I saw the commercial on TV and I really like Mike Ditka, so I filled out the online form. I have 5 other offers for a warranty on my vehicle, so I shop around compare the offers. The sales person was very rude and stated that we already compared our service in the market area and we have the best product. In your company's eyes that may be correct, but I just wanted to check the other offers and I told him that I would call back after I make the other calls and that was not good enough for him. I know that they work on commission and that is why I didn't want to waste his time until I was sure. I told him that I do these things my way, which researching the insurance companies behind the warranty because warranty companies go out of business all the time and the consumer is left stuck.

    His attitude makes me feel like your company will have the same attitude, so I am very suspect about what kind of service I will receive, which is a bigger factor to me than the price because I have had 2 aftermarket warranties in the past with great results and good service was provided to me and my mechanic. I don't know what my decision will be, but it's not a great start. I only filled this out because the reviews that I have read show positive results and good service, so I am very confused as to what kind of service I am getting for my dollars. I just thought that I should let you know. I did not order the product yet and I am unsure if I will.

However, when he tried to assist me further he put his manager on the phone who did not address who he was meaning his name.     Just felt the sales person was a little aggressive and felt pressure to change my carrier but did it anyway cause it is better but was conflicted about changing. Was told I would get a refund from other carrier. Will get a refund but it will be sent back to the credit card the payments were taken from.     I was in a bind and tried to get a quote for an extended warranty. Every breath the representative took was followed by an attempt to get me to give them a credit card number. "Can I get the 16 digits on the front of your card." "If you were to get a policy what type of card would it be... Visa, etc". The only information I gave them was my zip code, make and model and year. I low balled the mileage. I hung up on them because I didn't like what they were offering. This was months ago and I still get calls from more than a dozen numbers from people who never tell you the business name and now tell me my supposed vehicle is now a 2010 instead of a 2005 (which I told them). CarShield is the first and only place I provided that information and it was direct over the telephone. My theory is that they bumped my model year up to the minimum they could underwrite a policy for me (older cars wouldn't be covered or higher mileage).

    I can only assume by the massive attempts to get me to provide a payment card, that they would take my money and if I ever made a claim they would simply say I told them it was a 2010 and any third party mechanic claim would be denied. They never let me explain that I want to be off their "list" and that I don't have the actual vehicle anymore and never had the "2010" to begin with. I even called back one of their numbers and it had me press 9 to be removed, but yet the calls remain. DO NOT ever do business with CarShield. What they are doing to me is harassment.

    The cam adjusters on my Porsche Panamera were found to be defective at the bolts and broke, causing over $4k in damages. The adjuster from CarShield quickly denied my claim by saying repairs won't be covered because broken bolts are not a covered part and if it caused damage to a covered part then neither part is covered. This implies that there are two separate parts at issue. I told CarShield this was not two separate parts. To back up this fact, the manager at the Porsche Service Department personally called CarShield and told them that they were wrong when they denied my claim by choosing to look at the cam adjuster and the cam adjuster bolts as two separate parts. Porsche told them that the bolts and the cam adjuster in this particular application are in fact a single unit and is not two separate parts. He explained that you can not claim an uncovered part caused damage to a covered part when they are both the same part.

    He further explained to CarShield that the reason the bolts are not a separate part from the cam adjusters is because nobody can purchase cam adjusters bolts separate because it's part of the unit and that if something goes wrong with the bolts the entire unit must be replaced. In essence, if one part cannot be repaired or replaced without the other and can only purchased as a single unit then it is a single part.

    CarShield refuse to even consider or listen to me or Porsche or anything to support my claim and was simply determined to deny the claim and escape all financial responsibility by any means necessary. CarShield didn't even want to help with or even share the cost. CarShield even ignored their own policy rule on page T9 section E paragraph 8B that says bolts are not covered UNLESS it's part of a covered repair. Regardless of and even if, they ignore that rule it don't change the fact that the cam adjuster bolts and the cam adjuster is a single covered part not two separate parts and should be covered. They will use any excuse not to pay when repair is expensive.

    Porsche eventually gave up and called me and recommended that I sue CarShield. Likely reason is it's an expensive repair at $4k compared to my contract policy @ only $6k. It seems like CarShield prefers to pay $8k in legal fees than $4k to honor the contract. My advice is, CarShield is great for cheap repairs like your windshield wipers or horn stopped working. Otherwise, think twice about CarShield unless you don't mind being tied up in court litigation. I am absolutely disappointed in this purchase.

    I wanted to cancel my subscriptions today so I called. The first one was very professional and nice. I've told her that I needed it cancelled but instead she gave me a competitor's quote telling me to take a look at our quote and tell us if it's okay after lecturing me about subscriptions and why it's different. My second one was a pain. I called because again, I WANT IT CANCELLED. The fellow then proceeded to lecture me, in an annoyed tone I might add, about why others are different and proceeded to ask me about more info about my new policy (I got one from another company which is cheaper with the same coverage). I kept telling him that just want it cancelled. He then proceeded to argue about not cancelling it (he was giving hints) and kept putting me in a spin cycle by telling me the same explanation over and over as and tried to bully me into staying.

    I got frustrated and stopped him and asked that "I just want it cancelled. Is it too much to ask?" The fellow then continued that "You'll be paying more with them on that policy even though it's cheap." Yada yada. After it was all said and done, the fellow said his goodbyes in a rude tone and slammed the phone on me. The guy's name was Dustin. Yes he cancelled it, but to a point where I have to fight over it. Bottomline. I want my policy cancelled. I don't need to be lectured and or bullied into staying. It was highly rude and unprofessional. Not just Dustin, but with my first phone call. That's why we have customer service, if we need something done and if it can be done then it should be done. No lectures, no bullying, just do what we requested and be done with it. If you're on our shoes and you call us to have something done but instead do the other thing and bully you into staying, will you be happy about it?

    I always purchase an extended warranty even on a brand new car that I bought. I was due for renewal on Subaru but I went to a third party, CarShield, because they gave me a better offer.     I had an older model car and CarShield was recommended by a friend of mine who has has it. I called them about three times before I asked them to set it up. And each time they were very informative and patient. The amount of the policy that I was receiving was $3,000 and that’s a price for a new car. I wanted to make sure on what I was getting. But they took their time setting it up. I even cancelled it a couple times and called back to reinstate it. They’ve been able to work with me.

    When my engine went out while I was driving to work and it wasn’t until after my policy had gone into effect, I wasn’t sure if they were gonna handle it but they approved the plan and paid for it. It took a while for the mechanic to fix my car so it was in the shop over a month. I spent quite a bit of money on Uber, Lyfts, and co-workers, but CarShield covered the price of rebuilding the engine. That part worked out fine.

    I also had to reach out regarding a tow and they covered all of it. When the tow truck driver came and got me off the side of the expressway, I asked how much do I have to pay and he told me I don’t have to pay anything. I was also concerned about getting home after he dropped my car, and he was nice enough to give me a ride all the way home. They even provided me with the tow truck company that I could use again if I needed it. They weren’t very expensive and I would definitely recommend them.

    I had two problems with my van. If not used for awhile or after a few local trips the battery would not be able to start the van. Took it to my dealer to find out why. After many jump and inspections the problem was found. The Alternator was not putting out enough current to recharge the battery. The first time the dealer contacted CarShield the inspector rejected the request for replacement. While this was in progress, the Water Pump started to leak. CarShield was again contacted by the dealer. This was taken care of quickly. Back to the Alternator. After another jump start (by CarShield) the Alternator was finally replaced. No more jump starts required. Ratings were combined (i e. 2 & 4) for this survey.

    When the first warranty for my 2011 Impala went out, I started getting all kinds of calls. CarShield gave me the best deal and so I decided to get an extended auto warranty from them. Their vehicle protection specialist told me what was covered and what may not be. He explained everything. One time, I had to file a claim with them because the car was showing different things on the instrument panel. I called CarShield and they said take the car to the dealer and call them back. I did so and the dealer said that there was a worn harness and all I had to pay was my deductible and CarShield would pay the rest. They got right on it and repaired the vehicle. I know I'm saving some time and money. The policy is well worth it.

    Stay away! I signed up for 2 new warranties for my cars. After reading the actual contract I realized that what I was told and what was in the contract were different. I called to cancel and was given a hard time. The confirmation of the prices agreed upon were wrong. I called again to cancel and again received a hard time. It was my prerogative to cancel – you have 20 days. The customer service representative would not allow me to cancel. She kept putting me off. It made me increasingly frustrated. Finally after insisting on speaking to a supervisor they cancelled the contracts which should have been cancelled easily after the first call. I also didn't like that the price kept going down on my original call. They kept adding miles for coverage, etc. It made me think that I was overpaying. Buyer beware. Here they use scare tactics also. For example if you don't have coverage one little problem can cost you 1700$, etc.

    I signed up with CarShield when my car's four years of protection has expired. The car only has 37,000 miles so it was still qualified for people selling warranties. At first, I checked if CarShield had a Better Business Bureau rating because it was something I never did before. So, there was a risk. But now, I see it was a good move. I only have two choices at that time and about months later, I got plenty of calls from a whole bunch warranty companies. CarShield was smart getting out immediately because when somebody gets a deal then everybody else was blocked out.

    My dealer here in Baltimore is really good, very respected and trusted. Any problem I had, I'll just take it there. When they say something is wrong, it's wrong. And when I had a defective fan last year and then the alternator this year, the dealer filed the claims for me. I gave them the information and the number to call. I also gave them a copy of my contract and they handled it. Although it took many attempts to get through throughout the day. And then, finally, somebody answered the phone. After it got fixed, my car has been running fine. So if I know somebody else who has a three or four-year old car with a warranty nearing its end, I would recommend CarShield.

The pushy salesman wouldn't take no for an answer so now they lost me as a customer. Do yourself a favor. Let people decide when to sign up on their own time. Don't push them... Dumb.

    I've been with CarShield for a year and three months now and my experience with them has been good. However, I wasn't sure if they'd get us a rental or not, or if they would pay for it. Their rep was very courteous and nice. He explained everything to me, but I've never gotten the paperwork for it and nobody would give what's the coverage on it. One time, I called their customer service and they told me to go to a dealer. So, I took the car to the dealer and when I got to there, we called them again. But they said to call them on the landline so they can make sure, because they don't want fraud, and that was cool. They took care of my claim, paid the bill and their service was good. Overall, CarShield has been very valuable and my experience with them was outstanding. I like CarShield and I recommend it to people.

    I know I needed an auto warranty and since I liked what CarShield had to offer, I decided to sign up with them. When I called, the lady rep that I talked to wouldn't take no for an answer. She kept me on the phone until we did it but she was really nice. If you bought a car, the transmission, motor and anything could go wrong. I'm glad there's nothing wrong with mine now because they got that taken care of when I recently filed a claim for my oil pump and timing chain tensioner. The mechanic did a good job. They told me they had Channellock which is a tool known for this situation and everything worked out right. Then, the mechanic called me and told me my car was ready. They get the job done.

    As for CarShield, they know what they're doing. I like that they get you with the dealership and a licensed mechanic and they got the right equipment to check your vehicle with and it could tell you what's wrong with it. Even if I have no repair, I'm still satisfied because I know if I do have some repairs, they will be taken care of. This is why I've already recommended them to a couple of people who were asking me about it.

    Received a letter stating that my warranty was expired. I called to get some information and to get an understanding of the letter. The gentleman went on to give me information about the warranty. Asked for my information and cc. I thought my current warranty was expired but it's not. I expressed that it was a lot of money and I wasn't sure. He went on to say that I could do that down payment and he will send me the contract so I can have time to think about it. I called back the next day wishing to cancel the contract and get the full refund. But when I did, they hit me with more information and lowered the payments.

    After I explained that I am unable to pay any of those, they told me that I had to wait to receive the contract and call back to cancel and receive my refund. I understand it's a business and the company is trying to make sales but when I say I can't afford it, "I CAN'T afford it!" If I am unable to cancel and receive my refund, I will be taking further actions because that's just unacceptable. Pushing people, using scare tactics to make money. Especially after I said many times that I can't afford it.

    I purchased CarShield Insurance through Omnisure Group, LLC so my 2008 KIA Sorento would have coverage. I was told by the sales person I couldn't make a claim until after a 30 day grace period. Understandable. However, AFTER 30 days, actually around 45 days my check engine light came on throwing a P0016 code which is the Camshaft Position Sensor and Camshaft solenoid circuit. There were some other issues I had checked by the mechanic but this was the main one. After the mechanic did a check and contacted the insurance company, they were told everything they found was "Pre-Existing" and wouldn't cover anything. I promptly cancelled the insurance with an agent and they informed me I would get a full refund.

    I received the downpayment of $295.00 after a couple weeks. Then, I received a check for $35.28. I contacted CarShield and asked about this. They informed me the payment was pro-rated after 30 days from starting the policy. This is how I see this convenient loophole for CarShield: After purchasing the policy, there is a 30 day grace period where you cannot use the insurance. After 30 days, your payments are pro-rated. A customer will not find out how the coverage will be evaluated until after the 30 day grace period. So, this means everyone will have a pro-rated refund because they won't know how bad the insurance coverage really is. Be aware! READ THEIR CONTRACT about your coverage and make damn sure you understand based on what you read, NOT what their salesman promises you.

    Called and spoke to Gus. Explained I wanted an idea about cost of their policies for our Dodge Caravan. I said I would have to discuss with my husband before decision made. He gave me a quote. I said I wasn't sure we could afford and he asked me to hold. Chase came on the line and as we bought it new there was a slight adjustment. He asked for credit card or debit. I again explained I couldn't without talking to my husband. He said he'd hold for me to call him. I said I couldn't contact him at work and I had been honest up front that I couldn't do right now. Then he said could I tell him when my car would break down and I said it was in my drive.

    He kept on asking things like that or giving me statistics and I said not now many times. He got angry for my interrupting him. I didn't feel it was getting anywhere and at this point wasting both our time (didn't say that to him). I said, "Ok talk". He said I was being rude, goodbye and hung up. Commercials are playing here several times a day and I thought it might be a good idea. Even when I said I was sure his wife wouldn't make a $4000 commitment without talking to him he corrected me and said "No it was $3500" and started telling me about the cost of mechanics. Ignored the question and started in again. Gus explained all that was covered clearly and now I had a price. That's all I wanted. I even asked if there was a # I could call him back and he said no. I explained I was going to call this evening or tomorrow am to give answer one way or the other. I will not be bullied or pushed into a decision by anyone. I called them!!!

    I went to pick up my car from the dealership where we had it fixed and they said I owed $1400. I went in expecting to pay nothing. At that time, there was some confusion because some checks were sent to us instead of the dealership. We cashed the checks and that created some problems. I had to pay and so that night, I called my insurance company and they started dealing with it. It took just a couple of weeks and it got taken care of. Between what my car insurance and the service contract paid, I didn't end up paying very much. The service was good and despite the glitch on both ends, it turned out fine.

    I specifically started my account for this review. I have yet to do business with this company other than receiving multiple letters saying that I "have not contacted us (CarShield) to have your vehicle service contract activated" and that "my factory warranty has expired." This along with the envelope having a "Personal and Confidential Open Immediately" notification on the front and there being an account number on the letter, I have never had an account with them. The fun thing with all of this is that I just sold my vehicle after having it for only one year and I bought it brand new. Let's add on to it that it had less than 14,000 miles on it and it was a diesel truck, which gets a rather lengthy warranty.

    The main issue I am addressing is the company is trying to put up a facade about warranties and scare people into buying them. When I called about removing me from any type of contact list the individual tried to ply for more information and find out what my new vehicle was after I just told them I bought a brand new car. If it's brand new, I don't need an extra third party warranty. The employee was nice enough, thought being nice does not cover up for the scare tactics of expired warranties and possible large bills. I wish I knew who sold them my info so I could review them as well but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Again this review is not based off of actual services provided but rather their misleading marketing campaigns which I find to be reflective of any business.

    CarShield called me and I signed up with them because of the number of features that they had covered. They automatically get payments from my account. I had some real serious engine repair done last month and they took care of everything. It was a $3,000 job and I only had to pay $289. They came through with getting my truck fixed and so they were pretty good about paying.

    However, they need to work on some customer service. When I called them to find out what was going on, they were giving me real short answers. I had to drag answers out of them about what the repairmen were doing to my truck and I even got transferred to about five different people. I asked the last guy I talked to if he has a last name and he said, "Well, I'm the only Troy in the office." I didn't appreciate that because they keep getting my money every month. They also like had the script on me when it was time for them to pay up. Every one of them I talked to was cut and dry.

    I purchased a new Subaru at the end of 2016, and in early 2017 I received a letter in the mail saying that my service warranty had not been activated. This seemed curious to me, since I remembered receiving something saying the opposite. I checked my important papers, and I indeed had a paper saying that an insurance company was backing my 96,000 mile/10 year warranty.

    Okay, so I had two forms that contradicted each other. I called the number listed on the recent mailing, and Carshield explained to me that an extended warranty was available, that it was additional to my current warranty. I asked for information, since it sounded potentially valuable. The man on the phone explained to me that it would provide eight years of additional coverage for a few thousand dollars. I told him that I just couldn't afford that right now, and he went on as if to explain a way to make it work regardless of the cost. But then he mentioned how much the down payment would have to be, and I said that it was too much. I thanked him for his time and said I wasn't interested.

    At this point he began to badger me with, "Well, you want to own the car long term, right?" and "What if it breaks down?" I had already said that I couldn't afford the service he was offering, so this came off as extremely aggressive and downright rude. I thanked him again for his time and said firmly that I wasn't interested. As soon as he began the same aggressive line of questioning, I hung up. This was the first time I've hung up on a live person who I called, as opposed to having received a call from a telemarketer.

    A few weeks later I received a voice message from a man from Carshield saying they wanted to speak to me about the warranty for my vehicle. I blocked the number. A few days later a woman left a similar voice message. I deleted that as well. Just today I received a small form in my mailbox saying "NOTICE: VEHICLE WARRANTY EXPIRATION," indicated an "immediate response" was required, and that I needed to provide the VIN# and current mileage. My full name and a tracking number were already filled in. Thank you so much, Carshield, for harassing me with downright blatant lies and aggressive tactics.

    I broke down in Boston on Say. Evening Aug. 13th and was towed from Andover, MA to Wilmington Ma, since that was the only nearby station open on Sunday and I needed to get to Vermont because my boyfriend had died. I could not get pre-authorization from Omnisure because the office was closed and I need to get to Vermont as soon as possible. So, I paid with a credit card on Sunday August 14th in the amount of $677.10. I needed an alternator ($397.09), belt ($74.99), and new battery ($139.99 with installation). Also on the bill was a battery & electrical check ($24.99). I also paid a $24 towing fee out of pocket for which I received no receipt. I was traveling with my cat and my violin and we were stuck at the side of the highway.

    When I contacted Omnisure, they said they could not pay because the work was not pre-authorized but they could have a panel review the case. Jonathan at Omnisure said that even though the case was pre-authorized, I could have it reviewed as an emergency situation. It was extremely important that I get to Vermont as soon as possible as my boyfriend had died and I had to remove my personal items from his home in Vermont quickly. I was happy to get SOME money refunded ($194.85), but no explanation of breakdown was given to me as to how that exact refund was figured. At the very least I believe I should be refunded the remainder for the Alternator part ($397.09-$194.85=$202.24). I understand that a battery and a belt are parts that do on occasion need to be replaced, but had my Alternator not broken, I wouldn't have needed a new battery.

    It seems that it is quite a nuisance to not be able to reach Omnisure for pre-approval should one's car break down on a weekend! I had no other number to reach Omnisure other than their regular business number. Thanks for your time and attention.     I received a letter from CarShield on 2/10/17. I opened it in the evening. The letter stated that their records showed that I had not contacted them to have my vehicle service contract activated. This was confusing because I was under the understanding when I bought my car in the fall, that I had already had a protection plan and this had been taken care of through the car dealership. I was afraid that I didn't realize I had to call to activate it. The letter stated that I needed to respond within 5 days. The letter was dated 2/2/17 and I received it on 2/11/17 which was 9 days past when they needed a response.

    I was worried about losing my protection plan so I called on 2/11/17 to see if there was anything I could do. When I called I first talked to a woman named Tracy. She started asking me several questions and wouldn't let me get a word in and when I stumbled she said "Don't you know what kind of car I drive?" I started to feel very frustrated with the tone and rudeness of the woman. I was still trying to understand what the letter was about and started asking my own questions which she couldn't answer. She then put me through to another person.

    This associate preceded to tell me that they were offering me a protection plan, I tried to explain that I thought I already had one and that I needed to call the car dealership that I bought the car with and that my husband was not home and I needed to talk to him. The associate told me I needed to take care of this today or I would not be protected and why wouldn't I want to pay just a low deductible of $100 instead of thousand of dollars if something happened. I still was not sure if this was the company the car dealership goes through or was I being bullied into a protection plan I didn't need. Then the associate told me that I needed to pay a down payment of $395 today or I would lose the deal. I said I could not afford that and that I needed to check up on what I already had a talk with my husband. He said again I needed to take care of it today because the deal had expired and they were making an exception.

    I became upset and he then transferred me to Jeremy ** who told me he could offer me a better deal but it had to be taken care of now and that if I hung up I would lose the deal. He then offered a deal of paying a down payment of $195 with 18 payments of $ 172.11. $3,293 for coverage. I was so upset and confused by this time I didn't know what to do but was scared to lose my protection policy. I just kept being told if I didn't take care of this now I would lose the cheaper deal. At this point I still didn't know if this company was the one my car dealership went through.

    I finally gave in and gave over my credit card information and all my car information. I was so upset but didn't know what to do. I told Jeremy ** that my husband would want to call him especially if we find out we already have coverage in place. He gave me his name and number and said I could call anytime between 8-6 and he was there 7 days a week.

    After we got off the phone I called the car dealership and confirmed that I indeed already had a protection plan and didn't need the one from CarShield. I called Carshield back immediately to cancel and they told me that customer service was closed and that I couldn't talk to Jeremy ** because he went to lunch. They would not let me leave a message and told me Jeremy ** could not cancel and refund my money. They said only customer service could not help me until Monday.

    I strongly feel that I was bullied into this protection plan, they knew I was crying and just kept pressuring me until I consented. I have never felt so much pressure and stress from associates from a company before. I will be calling back on Monday and I was assured that I could cancel and get my money refunded. It is very sad to be treated in such a way. I explained that I could not afford the extra expense, that I needed to talk with my husband and check on my coverage I already had and I just kept being told if I didn't take care of it then they would not be able to offer me the cheaper deal. I certainly hope that Customer Service helps me cancel on Monday and refunds my money. If CarShield's associates can bully me into caving into their demands I can only imagine what they do to the elderly they send these vague letters to.

    I called CarShield on Friday 2/3/2017 at 4:31 pm CST (22 minutes in length), in regards to a notice I received in the mail, informing me that my vehicle service contract has not been activated. Unaware of what this meant, I inquired, and the gentleman (supervisor?) I was transferred to proceeded to explain the various warranty coverage options that were available. After listening to him, I politely thanked him but declined his offer due to my existing financial obligations. Prior to the call, my intention was simply to inquire about the notice, not to sign up for any kind of warranty. I explained to him multiple times that I cannot afford the service at this time.

    He then offered me multiple slightly less-expensive options, to which I graciously thanked him, but he still wouldn't take no for an answer. He kept explaining to me that the cost of an unexpected car repair would far outweigh the monthly payments for the warranty, and that I would essentially be silly to pass it up. I respectfully declined multiple times, in rebuttal to each of his offers, but he remained adamant in his goal and would not back down. Ultimately, I explained to him that this is a personal decision and I do not feel comfortable moving forward at this time. Instead of accepting my answer, he repeatedly antagonized me for not seeing it his way. Although he is very knowledgeable about the services offered, I made it very clear that I did not want to agree to any services, and I thanked him for his time.

    To this, he fought even harder to pressure me into a deal, and his tone transitioned from warm and understanding to very hostile subjective. He seemed personally offended that I wouldn't accept his deal. I told him that I felt like I was being personally attacked and pressured, and he repeatedly denied this as his intention. I explained that I did not have to justify myself to him, and although I remained calm and professional throughout the entire phone call, I couldn't help but feel like he was trying to reel me in to meet his quota. I did not feel like his efforts had my best interest in mind.

    This interaction left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will never be doing business with CarShield in the future. I will never recommend this company to anyone. As someone who has worked in customer service her whole life and who has developed an incredible amount of patience and tact, I have learned that whether you agree or disagree with a customer/prospective customer, it is your job to remain professional and provide that customer with optimum respect and courtesy, no matter what (for the most part).

    I was not treated with this kind of care. Instead, I was made to feel judged and victimized, although I demonstrated my ability to remain respectful and professional. I have never experienced an interaction with a business like this before (much less with someone at a supervisor level), and was in shock at the treatment I received. I stayed on this call 22 minutes (as long as I could take) before I finally hung up. It was absolutely horrible. The only reason why I gave CarShield 1 star is because the system requires a minimum of 1 in order to submit the review.

    Had a wheel bearing go bad caused differential bearing to go as well. Differential bearing was replaced with warranty coverage at a local garage without issue. My only concern was that the housing is not covered as well thus leaving play with the new bearings. I know this will cause it to wear out the differential bearing as well as the wheel bearing due to excessive amount of play in the drive axle now.

    CarShield was the one that called me at the particular time I was ready to purchase a warranty. The only thing that I don't like is that they said that they would give me a rental car when my car was being repaired. I got a rental car and paid for it out of my own pocket and sent them the bill, and thus far, they've stiffed me on reimbursing me for the rental car. The first time they told me they never got the fax, so we sent a second time and they called back and confirmed that they received it, but we still haven't gotten a check.

    My car was in the shop for seven business days, nine considering the weekend. The shop that was repairing it said that they haven't received approval to work on the car yet and it had been almost a week before they received approval. When I talked to CarShield about the reimbursement on the rental, they said, "We only reimburse for the number of hours that it takes to repair your car. We don't reimburse for weekends.” But everything else was top-notch and it was a good experience. CarShield did what they said they were gonna do when I purchased the warranty.

Whenever I call them up, I end up getting through to a mechanic. It sounds like they’re in a garage and then he would just tell me, “Have your mechanic call me.” And then they take care of everything. I’ve used their services twice. I paid close to three grand total for the warranty. And they’ve already paid out over $2,000 worth of stuff in less than two years. The first time, I had a problem with my transmission. I had it towed to a shop and they fixed it. It was very quick and I had my car back within the week. The second time, which was recently, the electronic part, was also done very quickly. I brought my car to the shop on my own. The guy diagnosed the problem and he called them up. The service of CarShield is really excellent. I’d recommend them to other people.

    Ever since I leased a vehicle from GM about 6 years ago I continue to get robo phone calls from CarShield even though I told them I no longer own this vehicle they ask me about. Since I blocked their phone calls about every 2-3 months I get a letter from them. Then even after blocking every number they call me from they manage to use a new local phone number to call me. I'm so over this stupid company that is nothing but a scam and won't take me off their phone or mailing list after requesting it many times. Talk about lost patience with these people!!!

    I called just to get a quote for a extended auto warranty. After receiving my quote I told the person I was talking to I couldn't afford it. He said his mgr. might could get me a lower price. When I told the mgr. I would need to talk to my husband he became very rude & pushy. He told me to call him. I was not able to get him because I couldn't put him on hold. He told me I was liar that I hadn't tried. He asked what else had lied to him about. He kept on and said his mother who was a Sr. also bought a vehicle she couldn't afford. My son was listening. We were both shocked at this person’s rudeness. I hung up on the man. All I wanted was a simple quote not to be attacked verbally.
