I can be added to the list of people whom have complained about the brakes on their Infiniti. Mine is a 2004 G35X. After 17,000 miles I brought the car in due to the brakes squeaking and sqealing. Infiniti was all to happy to replace them under warranty. I thought that was the end of the problem, but it arose again. So at 38,000 miles I brought the vehicle in for inspection and, just like the others, I was told that it needed pads and rotors. I was not happy and was soon alerted, by my wife to this page. I printed it and brought it with me to the dealer (along with my 500+) and told the folks there that something needs to be done about this. Toyota has brakes which last over 75,000 miles. No one is going to want to buy a car which you have to invest 500 a year in new brakes. He said he would pass my message along. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED! Not by extended warrantys, but rather quality equipment. I like the car, but I have said from the first day that it would be a better car if it was built by Toyota.

Lease a 2004 Infiniti G35x, brakes and rotors had to be replaced @ 17,000 (under warranty, thank you). Now squeaking a bit @ 20,000 and severe brake dust continues. Heard this is a common problem (hence the factory covering the defect). I am trying to unload the car now.

Clearly a problem that will keep me out of the Inifiniti showroom for many years.

I have a 2005 Infiniti G35X which I have just taken in at 14,000 miles for state inspection and have been told it needs brakes and rotors. After researching the internet forums, I have discovered that there are known problems brake problems with 2003 to 2005 infiniti G35's. Infiniti has extended the brake warranty on the 2003 and 2004 models but not the 2005's. Extending the warranty allows new defective brakes to be installed, however, does not address the engineering fault or safety issues.

I purchased a new 2005 Infiniti G35x. Took the car in at 17,000 miles and am told I need new pads and rotors. Told that this is normal for a sports car. I have owned sports cars and have NEVER experienced this problem. Advise anyone considering a G35 to think twice. If brakes need to be serviced with every other oil change, this costly investment definitely has a significant impact to the resale as well as the cost of maintaining the car over years. Even though the '05 & '06s have different front brakes than the '03 & '04s there are still problems with the front brakes. Infiniti extended the brake warranty for the '03s and '04's but not the '05s and '06s.

I bought a new Infinity G35 coup in 2004. About a month later the brakes started squeeking. I took the car to the dealer where they "fixed" the problem. ever since then, the brakes continue to make noises and I've taken the car to the dealer 3 times. They always try to "fix" the problem but tell me its a problem thats inherit in the brake system. I am under warranty for 36,000/3 years but then after that time I know the problem will continue. I called infinity consumer affairs with no real help besides filing a complaint.
