Lawsuit Charges G35 Brake Problem

Chris of Orlando, FL March 11, 2007

Chris of Orlando FL (03/11/07)
I own a 2003 Infiniti G35. It has been plagued with brake problems throughout the time I have owned it. I have had the front pad replaced at 15,000 miles, bot front and back pads replaced at 34,000 miles and now am facing replacement of the front pads once again and rotors at 46,000 miles. If the pads weren't being replaced so often the rotors wouldn't be shot now. I have to eat the cost of this latest problem as with every further brake issues for the life of the car which I can expect on an annual basis. I am putting the car up for sale but who would want to buy a premium car with premium problems!

I like the many others have continued to have brake problems with my 2004 Infiniti. I wasn't advised that there were significant problems with the brakes, until I found a slip inside the glove compartment months later. There was never any mention of the brake concerns. To date, I have taken the vehicle for service to the brakes: 4,136 (Brakes/rotors glazed) 17, 681 (Brakes/rotors replaced) 21, 182 (Brakes serviced for squeaking again, stated no problems) 32, 641 (Brakes/rotors replaced) This is not acceptable and Infiniti should offer to replace the rotors for free.

I am leasing a 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe and have had to replace the brakes twice in the 3 years that I've had this vehicle. I just replaced them after having gone only 10,000 miles since I had them installed. The front wheels constantly have what must be brake dust or debris - they are always coated with a black substance.

Bought a new 2005 G35 and after about 2000 miles, the brakes started to squeak only when a small amount of pressure is added. Every time I have an oil change I now have them clean out the brakes, lube etc which does help for a very short time but then the squeak is back. At my last oil change (About 2 months ago @ 12,500 miles) they wrote on the repair receipt that Infiniti is aware of the problem but now solution has been finalized. I have a friend that bought the same car 1 month earlier and he also has the same problem.

So add us to the site for this complaint. It may appear that this is a small problem but when you hear that squeak EVERY TIME you press the brakes, It not a small problem. I thought about trading the car in or selling it but at this point I would loose so much money it's not worth the trade right now. 1 more year I figure and off it goes. Plus when people ask me about how I like the car I tell them the truth. Comfortable car but if your don't like brakes sqeaking don't buy one.!!
