We took our 2002 Altima for a oil change and 2 weeks later our engine dies. When we checked for oil to our surprise there was no oil. We checked under the car to see if we had a leak, but nothing. We called Jiffy Lube, they told us that we had to get the car towed to a auto mechanic and if they determine the cause of the engine failure was with the oil they would repair it and cover any expenses cause by this problem. We had to get a rental.
When we reported the mechanics findings to Jiffy Lube, they turned around and said that now we had to tear down the engine to failure and they will then send a 3rd party to check the engine and make sure that was the cause. To me and the mechanic that already checked the car, think thats not neccessary. I think they just want to find something to blame me and make me responsible for the damage they caused. The guy at jiffy lube was recommending my fuel filter he said he was rusted. I Changed my fuel filter a couple days before i came to get my oil change. I was very pressured into getting things I did not need. The managers there are very rude to there customers and i will never go to other jiffy lube again

My wife took our car into Jiffy Lube for an oil change. During the course of the oil change, she was told the car needed a new air filter and that it would cost around 15. She said OK, go ahead and put a new one in. Upon checkout, she looked at the bill and the air filter charge came to 25. She brought it to the attention of the clerk, who said sorry, it wasn't 15, but 25. My wife explained that she was quoted 15 and that was what the cost should be. They refused to change it and my wife asked them to take it out and put the old one back in which they did.
6 months later, we took our car in to a local mechanic for some brake work, and they told us that we didn't have an air filter in the car and asked if we would like to put one in. We of course said yes and paid the mechanic 25. So Jiffy Lube took out the new air filter, but didn't put back in the old air filter and we drove the car for 6 months without an air filter. We called up the store manager and told him what happened. He said, That is impossible because we never quote you the cost of an air filter up front because there are different costs. He then said, You waited 6-mo's to find out you didn't have an air filter? I can't do anything about that because it's been too long. We told him we don't do a visual inspection of our engine every month.
We assume that when you tell someone to do some work on the car, we shouldn't have to double check that it happened. He was extremely rude to us and unwilling to do anything about it because of the length of time. Corporate was no better as they found every reason to say it was too late and we should have checked to see if we had an air filter sooner. I will never go to another Jiffy Lube again as I cannot trust the work to be done correctly. In my book, there's a high probability they will do something to damage your car due to their incompetence or deliberate acts.

I drove my 2002 Buick Rendevous in for an oil change. During this procedure the recommended I change the fuel filter. I told them no. When the oil change was completed the car would not start. The then said they thought I need a new fuel filter and said they were going to replace mine to see if that was the problem. The car still wouldn't start. I had to call my car dealer to have the car towed to their shop and upon their inspection the discovered that the o-ring as missing and was the reason the car would not start. I returned to Jiffy Lube and was told that they did not touch my fuel filter.
My car dealer mechanic has no idea how an oil change could cause the O-Ring to fall out of the fuel filter unless removed. The car drove perfectly before Jiffy Lube changed the oil (they drove it into the bay so the car was in perfect working order) and after the car dealer fixed the fuel filter.
I was charged by my car dealer since Jiffy Lube's negligence was not covered by my warrant. I was billed 100.51.

I went in for a low engine coolant light that was on in my car and also to have the oil changed. They told me my coolant level was fine. I also had a whining noise in the engine that they said was the serpetine belt. I had the serpitine belt replaced and an oil change. On the way home, the coolant light came on again for low coolant and the whining noise was still there. I checked the coolant in the overflow tank and it was below the refill line. The mechanic had stated it was checked and OK.
I recently went to the Chrysler dealer to have work done and he stated that the serptine belt was the wront type and could cause strain on the pulleys. I contacted Jiffy Lube, but no action was taken to remedy the problem but an I apologize from the manager. This apology was before I found out the wrong belt had been put on.
As a result of this, I had to pay 135.97 for work that was not performed and work that was done unrelated to the problem that proved to be of no help. I am simply requesting a refund of my money.

I went in today for an oil change on my 2002 Acura MDX and told them I only wanted an oil change as my husband has a fleet mechanic that can do the other needed maintenance. Halfway through the oil change an employee came in and showed me an air filter with large clumps of dirt on it and told me I needed to have it changed. I finally consented. MY mistake in not asking the price. It was the CABIN air filter for 69.99!
I feel like I was pressured into something I didn't need for an outrageous price. When I questioned the guy, he just shrugged his shoulders and pointed to the sign which said, Cabin oil filter START at 39.99 I feel like all they wanted was to sell me something I didn't need. I will NOT be returning to a Jiffy Lube in the future.

feb 24 1:10 came in to for an 5 points oil change at 34.99 but paid 95.00 at the end. I was told my filters, cabin and air filters were filthy that i need need to change them. I said, i no i will ask my husband first. He says he will give a discount and that if I buy the 60 filter he will give me the other one free. I have no knowledge of cars and i ask him is this how much air filter cost? its pretty pricey. He says, yes, everywhere else would cost me more and I am actually getting a good deal.
Trusting him that I am getting a good deal I say go ahead. A few minutes later, I was approached by a cashier lady who told me that she can cash me out now if I was ready. Thinking that this was how it was done. I went and paid for the total bill. I asked the cashier again, if this is what filters really cost. It seems pretty high. She just shrugs her shoulder. I was asked to sign a customer rating number. I felt I was put on the spot and since all of them were friendly I gave them a good rating. I go outside back to my van, and the gentleman who sold me that filter comes up to me and says that he did not have the cabin filter in stock and that it was ok, just come back tomorrow.
THis after I paid an almost 100 srvc! I asked if they had performed that 5 points services listed on the check list and they claimed they did. But I can't help shake the feeling that I have been swindled. I should have stuck with just the oil change. But they were very convincing that i needed it done and that he was giving me one of the best deals around!
Well i have 3 kids to feed! I also feel I was mislead! I am out about 70 dollars.

My wife went in for an oil change. He tried to get her to do an engine flush at 69.99. He tried to get her to change the air filter. Wanted to clean the engine. Misrepresented an oil upgrade by selling her a synthetic oil at a 40 dollar upcharge. The advertised price is 18.99 with a coupon. We had no coupon so 36.99. However75.99+25.00+69.99 is what he attemted to scare her with. Simply because she is a woman. Overcharge of 40.00 plus an attempt to intimidate for an additional almost 100 dollars for a simple oil change process.

I went to Jiffy Lube in Melrose and La Brea to change my oil and filter. They told me that it was going to take just a few minutes for the evaluation. I wait and wait and wait and all I see was all the emplyes lauphing and joeking around. When they came back they told me your car need this and that and from 39.99 that was going to cost me they said that everything was going to cost me over 150.00 dollars. I did not believe them but I said ok if that is what I need lets do it. I never so anybody working on my car.
When I went to complaint with the front desk one of the employes told me to step outside and start telling me that I was wrong by complaining and treating me really disrespectfull. I told him that he did not have any right to talk to me like that and I told them that I was never going to return to any Jiffy Lube in my life. Not me, not my family or friends because a word of mouth is really powerfull....
I believe that they over charge me and I have heard other bad coments about Jiffy lube so I know that day something whent wrong....

My wife brought in our 2009 Toyota Corolla in for an oil change asked for the mid range oil and was charged 68.41. Without asking they did an engine treatment without asking if she wanted it. I went back the next day to complain and was told she was given what is called the signature service. 37.99 +24.99 engine treatment. This was not asked for. There are no prices posted anywhere. She wasn't asked if this was what she wanted or explained that this was what she would get. Not very professional. I will not use them again. Store # 1248. This is a 2009 Toyota with 4674 miles.
