    I have had Dominion Power, NOT by choice, for the last 12 years. I bought my house 12 years ago and there also is another electric power company out where I live and they just DROPPED their rate at the same time that Dominion RAISED THE HELL out of ours. A normal bill for us is around 250 dollars a month. HOW IN THE HELL came they claim this 660.00 Dollar freaking bill?? It has not been cold anymore, so my system is not working hard however on my bill I see a metric ton of BULLSHIT charges that it seems Dominion has just made up. I have never seen bills like this in MARCH!!

    My thought was to take it to the BBB, and I was about to submit it, but I read their policies that you have to agree to their collections of my information, and I do not trust agencies with my information unless I know the business and buying something from them. Dominion cannot make people pay for something that is a life necessity that IS NOT AFFORDABLE. It's not like I can choose my GD power company. If that were the case, I would have left Dominion in the dust YEARS AGO. I have been in construction for 25 years always just keeping me and my family's heads above water and Dominion pushes all of my families' heads under water BECAUSE THEY CAN!!!

    Good evening, everyone. I am writing because after reading everyone reviews, we need to start a class action lawsuit against Dominion Energy. My mother lives alone and her heat is set at 68 degrees. Her last bill was $600 plus dollars, and we paid $200 on it. I just called to see how much the bill was, and it said we owe $900 plus dollars. I spoke to someone last month because on the bill it said estimate, I said to the customer services lady I want an accurate reading, and she refused to help. She said that their technical side of things shows that there is nothing wrong with the meter.

    She then proceeded to say my mother used $5 dollars one day, $10 dollars another day then $36 dollars the next day. I asked how is that possible and she said she wasn't sure. It must be something she is doing because that is what the meter is reading. There's no way my mother in a home by herself is using that much electric. They are robbing the minorities. If anyone wants to start this lawsuit with me, please respond. We cannot and should not sit back and let them continue to rob us. We must take action.

    First of all, the automated system answering calls is redundant. After confirming name, address and phone number, I was sent to the human being who requested all of that information as well as my account number. You KNOW she was looking at all that info on a screen and knew I had already confirmed it. TIME WASTE. Additionally, my Feb bill is almost double my bill from last year. I do NOT have electric heat and have not changed usage patterns. I was told I would be sent to a representative who could handle this and then told the wait was 40 minutes - that I should go to the (useless) website. They have no discounts for seniors and charge ridiculous Distribution Service Charges. We private citizens are paying for Data Centers!

    I have just received my electric bill and I used $1,934 kilowatts. My electric bill was over $300. I have always tried to keep my electric bill down and they told us our electric bill was only going up by $11. My electric bill has doubled. All this over the data centers. Y'all need to figure something else out and have the data centers pay for their own electricity. We work for every penny that we get. We should not have to pay for the data centers that we did not ask for. Dominion Energy Va is reaping Us off 😡

    Recently, billed for electrical service for a home I sold 25 years ago. Said I never cancelled the service or the revert billing to owner agreement. Said I am on the hook for the current bill even though I haven't owned the house for years and that my credit will be dinged if I don't pay the bill. I'm retired and will be happy to go to small claims court to sue for damages if they do.

    If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. Their app is garbage, zero customer service. Trying to get a person on the line takes forever then they dont help. Combine that with rising cost, little desire to offer payment extensions when the bills are getting outrageous especially during a severely cold winter only offering payment arrangements with a super high down payment due the same day. Monopoly needs to broken up!

    Overcharging people even though they have solar panel farms and free energy sources. Bill was over 400 and I know for sure I didn't run it up like that because I cut down on plug in heaters and switched to propane tanks and yet my bill is still over 400 W.T.F. Please make it make sense...

    I signed my lease about 6 months ago and will start service in less than a month. I moved out with the intention of returning, so I returned 6 months later and called to request that the service be turned on. The operator informed me that I needed to produce the same lease, so I told her I had discarded my lease due. With other unnecessary paperwork, the temperature is -2. My service. My dog is frozen, and I have medical issues and am disabled. I received a text stating that the service would be turned on, so I called at 435, only to be told that they might come out. I am frozen, no one cares, nothing.

    Horrible customer service!! I got shut off which as far as I have heard Utah has some kind of agreement that especially low income families with kids aren't supposed to get shut off in the winter soooo there's that. But then I set up a payment plan made the first payment and nobody came out the next day. So I call again the day after and they send someone out but I wasn't able to turn the gas lever on because it's so tight and dominion won't do it for you. So I called again same day, Tracy the lady I spoke with was rude and sounded very annoyed but they sent an emergency tech out just to grease up the lever so that I could try again, it worked. I turned it on, then when I go to light the pilot nothing so here we are going on 4 days with no gas in the coldest season of the year. 🤬

    I gave this review a one star. Only because of the rate charge going up in 2026 and 2027. I will have to leave my apartment and look for a room next year. I am 72 and live off my retirement and social security. The rent is so high in Charlottesville and having a higher electric bill is ridiculous. It’s either pay the bill and not eat. I call this GREED! I read the CEO makes 12.2 million a year!!!! It's all about the money in this world. That’s the American way!

    Dominion Energy is the most expensive energy cost than other energy companies I've ever experienced, they're outrageous on their price and they're not too good on extending utility till next payday. Is always a couple of days before or else they're going to cut the lights off, I asked for a couple of days till my payday and they can't even wait. They want that money right now, I'm making a payments on my electricity every 2 weeks. Dominion Energy needs to come down on their prices instead of going up.

    Most expensive, most surges and unexplained power outs, worst support, refuse to respond to problems, etc. They offer outage verification letters but last 5 requests refuse to send. Wish we had the previous provider back!

    Dominion power came thru our neighborhood last year to advise us about them burying the power lines to provide a better experience and limit or stop power outages in our area. They completed the job and now our power goes out more than it has in the 10 years we have lived there. If it storms, rains, or have strong winds our power goes out. They raised our bill up but service is garbage.

    Dominion is awful, they hate you as the customer. They buried our lines because it was suppose to be more reliable than the line running from the pole. They had workers open my fences and just trespass on my property, They even tried to get hundreds of feet of easement of my property. We never signed, they still buried the line, now we have outages every week. It takes forever to get our service back, it’s summer time and we have a toddler in the house. Dominion wants the most money and offer the least of services. They are a monopoly and should be taken over. Absolutely awful company!

    This company is not an equal opportunity company. They would not allow me to apply for a job in the collections department in Columbia because I didn't work out of the office in Aiken. I am very qualified for that job. After almost 10 years with the company, I quit! It is a matter of principle, you have to stand up for what you believe in!!!

    It’s a shame you have to deal with Dominion. They have a monopoly on your business. Customer service is terrible. All they do is lie to customers, get them out of South Carolina!!!! Evidently they don’t document anything because you call back even with a claim number. Still can’t help

    Our power consistently goes out for hours at a time and sometimes for no reason at all. It has gone off twice in the last month, both times for approximately 12 hours. This last time, no wind or storms, no vehicle accident to our knowledge. They need to do better at clearing limbs away from lines to prevent this from happening.

    I'm in Northern VA and Dominion cannot reliably keep the power on. While blackouts tend to be short, they flash the power daily which resets and sometimes damages computer systems. Their latest power flash destroyed my Windows 11 operating system. It wasn't as bad years ago but the service has become horrendous in the last few months (2025). This company is a monopoly most places but if you can avoid them, do so.

    If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible company. Inflated pricing and ridiculous add-on fees on your bill that are complete nonsense/scams. Many places this is the only option, which this company uses to their benefit to price gouge you. If you have ANY other option available to you, take it, don't go with Dominion!

    This thieving pathetic excuse for a company are worse than anything other company. We didn’t change our not raise our thermostat in the past month yet, our bill went from 75.00 to 238.00! Also, what is an unregulated charge? And this is a monopoly so no choice but to use them what happened to America? It’s the land of the thieves! Don’t live anywhere this garbage company is. I’d give it negative stars if I could.

    I hate dealing with this company and their nonchalant representatives. I don’t know what happened to my first review but instead of helping, they insisted on turning my mother’s lights off in 20 below freezing weather. All adults and one baby. Had I not paid it, they probably would have froze to death. This snow storm of the century was no secret. A representative informed me that disconnections for the last two days had been waived. Surely, the weather advisors knew everyone one on the coast would be stuck inside their homes for more than two days. The aftermath should be the concern but who cares???? People only care when they are placed in your shoes. This company is about money and if you don’t have it, you’re done for. Pay your light bill. Please don’t give them a reason to not care.

    I had one of the worst customer service experiences in a very long time. The female representative who answered my call at approximately 8:30 AM today, January 15, 2025, and spent about 30 minutes on the phone with me, seemed completely dissatisfied with her job. I sincerely hope this call was recorded. I urge Dominion Power supervisors to LISTEN the conversation. I believe she is struggling in her life and I feel sorry for that, but we, the customers should not suffer for personal issues.

    Let me just start with how horrendous Dominion's customer service is! I called to transfer my service from my apartment to my house back in March. I was unaware that they FAILED to transfer my service! Then I was making payments on something that wasn't even on my account. So I call and I ask what was going on and they told me that something happened but they were gonna transfer my service. I still didn't have an account for MONTHS because it was on hold for whatever reason! Then I call again and they finally fixed my service account issue but then they tell me that they would back track all the billing from the month I initially wanted it up to the month that I was in at the time. Mind you that is 4 months! I said that I should not have been penalized for DOMINION'S MISTAKE! They couldn't do anything for me for that time and they specifically said that "if you're not gonna pay for it, who will?" Like WHAT!?!?

    Fast forward, I get my HUGE bill on my account and it was close to $900. I can't just drop close to $1000 like that! Fast forward again.... I wake up this morning to my power being shut off and I call because I have been making small payments toward the huge bill. I call and ask what was going on and they said that I would have to pay my remaining $525 in full to turn it back on. I have 2 young kids and If dominion did what they were supposed to do in the first place I wouldn't be dealing with this! They told me that they couldn't do anything about it because it is disconnected at this point. I asked "so my young children are supposed to freeze to death because of a mistake y'all made????" Absolutely ridiculous!! I have never been so angry in my life and I have always paid my bills on time for the last 2-3 years. I wish there was another energy company that I could go to because I cannot stand this corporation! I need this issue to be resolved ASAP!

    Twice in the last 30 days our power has been shut off without warning for them to do scheduled maintenance. No notice, no phone calls, texts, emails, letters, or knocks on our door. My girlfriend and I both work from home and can’t work without power.
