I have stayed at multiple Sleep Inn hotels, and I have never felt the need to leave a review because the experience is always excellent. But sadly, I chose to stay at the Sleep Inn Savannah Gateway I-95 in Savannah GA. I believe it was the manager who took it upon himself to be immediately rude when I arrived to check in, I am not sure if it was because I was late or because he himself was having a bad day, but this is not what you want to hear after a 6-hour drive. I asked him why he was choosing to be this way, and he started an argument which resulted in me taking my business elsewhere. He even claimed that he owned the hotel which just added to the overall odd experience. The other employees there were very nice and respectful, and it is sad to see one person try to bring others down.

Hello there. We are disappointed about the inconvenience experienced by the hotel staff. Our guests deserve welcoming staff courtesy, and we want to review this further. For assistance, please send us a private message with the arrival date, name on the reservation, and confirmation number. We stayed one night at the Sleep Inn Oxford Anniston I-20 in Oxford, AL. The room was very clean, the mattress was comfortable, and the price was reasonable. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast included a hot bar with eggs, sausage, and gravy. Other options were cold cereals, packets of grits and oatmeal, yogurt cups, cream cheese, fruit, milk, juice, water, coffee and hot water. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience at the Sleep Inn Oxford Anniston I-20, Jenny. We're delighted you found the room clean, the mattress comfortable, and the price reasonable. It's great to hear our staff was friendly and courteous, and that you enjoyed our breakfast options. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip! -Kathy

I reserved a handicapped room for Oct 4-5, 2024. They put me in a regular room 321 which they said was handicapped. It was not. They moved me to handicapped room 315, which also was a regular room. I said I can't use the toilet and guy at desk was extremely rude and said there nothing he could do about it. He said it was a handicapped room. Asked what was wrong with me. They refused to transfer me to a handicapped room. I had to go Walmart on Highway 76 in Franklin Sat morning to but a toilet adapter with hands so I could use their so-called HD toilet. That cost me close to $50.00. I talked to manager Ryan ** and asked for price adjustment and he continued to tell me the room was handicapped and in the end all he would do was give me a $50.00 credit. That covered my cost at Walmart and nothing else.
Please go somewhere else if you are handicapped as they will lie to you exactly as they lied to me. My entire weekend was totally ruined by Sleep Inn. I still can not comprehend Sleep Inn calling a regular room as a handicapped room and everyone I talked to called room 315 a handicapped room. I don't understand why they all continue to lie about it. Even the manager continued to lie about it to me. He didn't care at all. People who treat handicapped like this should lose their license. They don't care one bit how this impacts our daily life, all they want is our money.
PLEASE go somewhere else. Do not chance having your event totally ruined like mine with their constant lying. They should have told me the truth that they didn't have a handicapped room available when I made the reservation. I would have gone somewhere else. By the time I checked in there were no handicapped rooms available in their area. But they got their money and I got royally screwed.

Rarely write reviews unless egregious service but it gives me enormous pleasure to write this one. During Helene, drove 6 family members to the Sleep Inn, Greensboro Airport and stayed there almost two weeks. The manager, Ay ** (I may have misspelled her name; it's in the car) is a smiling, smart treasure. Her entire staff (except one...there's always one) were welcoming, helpful and attentive. Ay ** helped us with FEMA taking on the entire bureaucratic process during the time when we all came down with Covid 19. Sleep Inn: take notice. You don't want to lose her because there are too many competitors nearby who would gladly raise her salary and promote her upwards. Our experience at this Sleep Inn could not have been better and equals that at the Marriott, Hilton, etc where we usually stay.

Richard, we're so glad the staff went above and beyond during this difficult time. It's also great that you felt welcome and found support. Thank you for this feedback, and if you ever need our assistance, please don't hesitate to send us a private message. My team hopes to see you again at one of our properties. Regards, -Mei

Really nice staff. Yummy breakfast. Nice small feel. Smelled amazing in lobby. I'd feel a bit safer if they didn't leave the doors to the parking lot unlocked (it says you need your key) but you didn't-even late at night -and there were some people fighting in the parking lot.

Well we almost had a perfect stay. Upon checking having lost our credit card, the girl at the courtesy was nice enough to let us pay cash. Everything was great but upon leaving the manager inform us that they don't take cash and only take credit. His staff should have known better and in the future to use a credit card only. Thank you for ruining our stay. It doesn't say much about the manager talking about his staff that way. If it wasn't for her we have to turn around and go home because we only had cash. He was rude and very ignorant for a manager.

During hurricane Beryl my family was looking for a hotel like many other families. I booked this hotel for July 11 upon arrival the hotel staff advised me it was actually booked for July 15th. They did not have any available rooms to check. The website switched the date to the first available and I didn't catch it. I was then directed to call the 1800 number for Choice Hotels to see about a refund. I contacted the 1800 number as advised. The representative I spoke with called the hotel and canceled the reservation and I was advised I would be receiving a full refund within 3 to 5 business days. It's now almost a month later and I have not received my refund as promised.
I have reached out to the hotel numerous times leaving multiples messages only to be told to call back at a specific time to speak with the manager. The manager is never available when I do call back at requested time. I have also tried reaching out to the 1800 number for choice hotels. Even though they are affiliated with Sleep Inn Hotel all they supposedly can do is call the local hotel to request it be processed. When they call they are told the exact same thing "manager is not available please call back at specified time." I am very disappointed and beyond frustrated in sleep inn as well as choice hotels for not addressing and fixing this issue.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We regret to hear about the confusion and inconvenience you experienced during Hurricane Beryl. Our team is committed to resolving this for you. Please send us a private message with your reservation details and contact information, so we can investigate further. I've stayed at all brands of hotels around the country and the Sleep Inn in Marian, IA is one of the worst! The room was missing the microwave that was advertised and the extremely rude woman at the front desk couldn't care less and said all the rooms don't include them! Besides the room being extremely small, the bathroom sink/vanity didn't have enough space even for a small toiletry bag. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang the bag or cloths when you take a shower or hang up your wet towels, no hooks or towel racks anywhere! The safety latch on the door was completely missing! The breakfast was the worst I have ever seen anywhere! No eggs, no meat, no rolls, the biscuits and pitiful looking gravy everyday! I stayed there five nights because it was close to my event, the bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. I would not ever stay there again and after this I will never stay at another Sleep Inn again!

After a few calls and emails to Sleep Inn and Hotels.com my stay was refunded. The customer service after the fact turned out to be good, and I appreciated the hotel's willingness to work with me. I wasn’t pleased with Sleep Inn’s original response, but the General Manager did review the situation and rectify. It appears that the biggest roadblock was in Hotels.com not presenting the entire picture on how things were handled.

I was scheduled to stay in the Danville, Il. Sleep Inn. While traveling I was stuck in a snow storm and forced to stop in Indiana, before Danville. I stayed at another Sleep Inn. Danville refused to refund my stay even though I was staying at another property within the chain. I was told it was because, "That property isn't owned by us so we won't get any money." Needless to say I had to stay at the other property due to the weather and pay for two rooms. Unfortunate that the company looks at it that way, as I will never stay in a Choice Hotel nor recommend one again. (I travel 25 weeks a year. The hotel I stayed in was the 1st hotel I've ever stayed in that had mouse traps in the breakfast area.)

The Sleep Inn staff kept referring me to the owner, Jeeroy, who would never take my call or call me back. The management acted completely indifferent and couldn't have cared any less about the predicament they put me and my granddaughter in. They wouldn't even offer a "credit" so that I could actually utilize the reservation.
Sleep Inn (Jeeroy) has kept my money for a room that we never stayed in and I had to get another hotel room in Childress, TX. I reserved a room at Sleep Inn and Suites and upon checking in I explained to the clerk that I would need to adjust my stay to leave two days earlier than expected. She told me she was unable to help me. I called the # on the website and after being on hold for several minutes and transferred to two different people was told that the hotel adjusted my checkout date, but the company would not refund the difference for the two nights. I’ve stayed at several hotels over the years and never experienced anything like this. How are patrons not allowed to modify their stay?!

First I got this hotel from Priceline which I have trusted for a while. The price was affordable. I arrived in the evening. It was smelly and I could tell it was sort of renovated from an old failing hotel. Someone cleaned my room yesterday and I noticed my salon shampoo and conditioner were missing from the shower this morning when I went to bathe. The manager said I couldn’t prove anyone took my things. She said the workers are reliable. So basically she said there’s nothing or no one to complain to. What a shoddily run place. Why isn’t there a way to file a complaint. I’m not calling the police for $60 worth of shampoo. They’ll laugh at me, but no one knows if that’s the only shampoo I’ll have for the next three months or not. Besides that it was mine.

After being shafted by Hertz because they had no more vehicles even though we had a reservation we had to take a $65.00 ride by cab to our hotel in Brentwood, TN. The next morning I made reservations for a car through Avis at the Nashville airport. Not looking forward to paying another $65.00 cab fare I went to your counter and spoke with Jamal. He recommended that I used Uber for my ride back to the airport. Not being familiar with Uber he took some time to fill me in and then he helped me set up an account with them. As we were talking about other things his wife came in to bring him some lunch. Hearing about situation she volunteered to take me and my wife to the airport. I do not recommend this hotel, they have dirty rooms and bad customer service. I tried to come here with my family but since we have 5 members of the family they charged me 25 dollars more than the agreed upon amount on the hotel website (take note that the extra member is a three year old child that does not have many needs of room), and also I asked for a mattress and the employee gave me one and said nothing of an extra price.
As we are checking out they said that the mattress was an extra 10 dollars on top of the 25 of the extra person and I was not informed of that price when I asked for the mattress and their excuse was that they were "soo busy" and could not tell us. They have no right to charge extra for money of something I was not wanting to pay for but I had to, and the total amount I paid on top of the one-day hotel visit (which was 120) was 40 dollars. I fully do not recommend coming unless it's your only option, any other hotel is better!

Stayed at Sleep Inn and Suites in Gatlinburg, TN. We were told and signs were posted that there would be no housekeeping during our stay due to Covid. We were fine with that. On the 2nd day of our stay, we had returned back to the hotel mid-day to drop off some things back in our room. I was surprised to see the housekeeper at the room right next to mine. I actually spoke to her and she helped me with my key getting into my room. When we returned later that evening, I realized not only was my medication missing, but also 5 items of clothing from my suitcase and drinks from the fridge as well. I spoke with the manager the next morning who was in total disbelief about my claims, defended his housekeeping staff (a man/woman couple) and *repeatedly* stated how hard it was to maintain housekeepers.
He also insinuated that I would find my things when I got home, that how could they have taken anything when they leave for the day with their hands empty and why would they steal from my room since it was the one closest to the office? I told him he should fire her because he has a thief working in his business around people’s personal possessions and he said, ‘But we haven't had a problem with them since they have worked here’. How long was that?? 4 weeks. I was reimbursed the value of the stolen items but our trip was ruined. I did report it to the police. I would never stay here again. To value an employee who steals more than the clientele who trusts your staff to keep our belongings safe is absurd. Horrible management.

Had to call gas company to come out to take care of the situation and the gas leak ended up being yellow tagged. How dangerous. The hot water was cut off and customers was not notified of not having hot water.
Water was on the floor constantly that could have been a liability for the hotel in the event someone fall and hurt themselves. There was not enough breakfast served in the morning for customer. With no handicap placard was in a spot illegally. When I complained to the front desk I was told they were not required to enforce because it was private property. Americans with disabilities act? I checked into your hotel last night but went out to supper before going to the room. When we got to the room, I pulled out the chair next to the window to put the small, footend spreads on and noticed crumbs on the seat. I didn't think anything of it as we were not going to use the chair. I then pulled back the covers to the bed closest to the window and found a few hairs which I dismissed briefly.
"Then I went to jump in the shower and noticed the same type of hairs. One was upper right side near the shower head and the rest down on the floor which I used water to wash away. Then that prompted me to check the second bed where I found little crumbs that looked like someone ate Cheetos. I went to the desk twice to obtain clean sheets myself. After a long day, I was not in the mood to explain why. I do not stay at hotels a lot and for $174 I expected more than what we found." After talking with the General Manager, he offered a $30 refund... wow. No words for having to change my own sheets. Never again.

The photos show this expensive seating area, misleading, hardly enough room to sit. More than likely will not return to this Sleep Inn.
