This hotel has been used by my family frequently for the last few years. Each stay has become a little worse. After your stay they email you to fill out a survey or review. So I have done that several times and been completely honest about the issues. After all their website says how important and real their reviews are and how they want honest reviews which is why you have to actually have stayed there to leave a review. This week we had reservations & just before check in I received an email from the Kristin ** - General Manager informing me that our reservation has been cancelled without our knowledge and we have been placed on a Do Not Rent list because we left negative reviews. So I went to the hotel and tried to check in. After travelling all day we were told to go find a hotel somewhere else. This is the only hotel in the town, other are 45 miles away.

The "Manager" purposely did this; she purposely waited until the nth hour and took great joy in the power she thinks she has. She is a liar. She put in writing in her email to me that we were put on a Do Not Rent list for negative reviews. But her reply to my Google review says we were put on the Do Not Rent list because we used profanities when we attempted to check in. No profanities were used toward her until she used them toward us. She was screaming at us as we walked out the door. None of the issues have ever been addressed & the hotel has continued to rot & become flea infested with crusty carpet from the pets they allow but without proper cleaning procedures. A tick and several fleas were found that we took to the front desk & they were like oh well. They may have given us some points I can’t remember. Points don’t replace pee poop and bugs.

Upon our next visit (no choice, only hotel in town) we were told that we brought the bugs in the room because we were up there looking at houses & land. So we booked the 2nd floor on our next stay where we believe there are no animals & they allowed a family of children to jump off beds and run relentlessly over our heads without offering to move us & telling us that there is nothing they can do about it. So the next visit we put ourselves on the 3rd floor and we were next to the elevator with people running and screaming at all hours of the night. So for this visit, the one they cancelled on us, we asked to be on the 3rd floor at the end of the hallway. You see we were the ones trying to help ourselves by changing floors and locations because the hotel never did anything to accommodate us EVER.

The staff is rude, except Karen, they have no sense of customer service. That is if you can find them because they are usually outside smoking cigarettes. They hide $2 in addition to your quoted price for a safe in the closet and we couldn’t figure out why it is freezing cold in the room during the day and you have to raise the temp but at night you wake up soaking wet sweating. They turn the air off during the night and sometime early in the morning turn it back on hoping you won’t notice. This is only a small sample of the issues on just a few nights that we have stayed on recent stays. Other times earlier on we stayed without issue other than the AC.

We have stayed at this location maybe 50 times and earned the highest level membership they have, Diamond Elite Status. By the way some bad reviews were of other locations not just this one. One would think they would really want to know in order to make corrections but obviously they want reviews but only good ones.

I would like to formally complain regarding my stay at the Glendale Comfort Suites. On May 12 the water was shut off in the entire facility for a number of hours without notifying the guests. At 4pm we were attempting to get ready for our evening and dinner reservations only to find the water had been shut off yet again without warning. I went to the front desk to enquire about this and was promptly and aggressively spoken to by the manager of the hotel, a person named Billy **.

He advised me that my choice was to wait, or he offered to check me out of the hotel. I asked him where I could go? He reiterated that we could leave the hotel if we were not happy. There was no apology or attempt to make it right. He basically gave me an ultimatum of take it or leave it. I am not satisfied with this response, and this needs to be addressed.

Secondly, a Cadillac CTS with personalized Arizona cardinal plates was parked in the drop off area all week. This is supposed to be for customers to drop off and pick up. The manager chose to park his vehicle right by the front door which was a major inconvenience twice for us during our 4 night stay. Last I checked, the clients should get the better service and not the manager. Our Uber had to back out of the loop twice and almost got into an accident with cars coming in.

I overheard the manager speaking and bragging to a contractor that he even gets the staff to wash his car while he's there... The manager seems to rule rather than lead, and it was apparent to me that he is incredibly toxic. The complete lack of care for customer service and lack of appropriate management took what would have been a nice stay and made it acrimonious and left a bad taste in my mouth. I expect someone from customer care to contact me to get this addressed as soon as possible, and I will not stop emailing until I receive an apology and some attempt for your company to make it right.

If you value your health, safety, sleep and expect the hotel services to be working DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Comfort Suites 2900 W. International Speedway, Daytona Beach, FL 32124.

Health Problems - I got COVID 2 days after checking into the hotel!!!

Safety Problem - the management will not help you if you have a problem with another guest!! The manager is a gutless Indian immigrant who does not understand or manage to American lodging hospitality standards. He is still stuck in his Indian remote village mental attitude about what is acceptable hospitality - you are lucky to have any light in your room, any running water, etc... He believes he is running a great hotel with his negro staff. I strongly disagree!

Sleep Problem - The first night we checked in the room above us started making bowling ball/dumbbell drop sounds at 10PM and kept it up for a hour. I went to the front desk and asked if the exercise room was above us. "No, that is on the first floor." I told them of the banging noises and I could tell from the desk clerks reacting she knew this was a family with kids. "I will speak to them." This went on every night we were staying there. I complained at 11 or 12PM - "I will speak to them again." This hotel manager is feckless. He told me their preferred solution was to move us! He was gutless and would not deal with this guest problem. Refrused to throw these rude people out as I recommended and as he should have.

Note: This hotel caters to unrully negros and construction workers. The only problem with the construction workers is they drive massive pickups and 1 and 2 ton work trucks and clog up the completely inadequate parking lot. You will have to get to the hotel early to find a parking place and have to wait until the construction works leave in order to get your car safely out of the hotel parking lot.

Hotel Services problems - upon checking in, the lights were burnt out in our restroom and that took a day to fix. The next morning we went down for breakfast and the juice dispensing machine was not working? Upon inquiry was told "Someone broke it." What kind of a person breaks a juice machine = the kind of person who stays at this hotel. The last day, my wife tried to find ice for our drink cups for traveling. All the ice machines in the hotel were not working! This is a completly slipshod lodging place with completely inadequate maintenance!!

Again my advice DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY, SLEEP AND SERVICES!

My experience with this hotel was horrible. We did check in early however, my daughter had a basketball game so we left. When we return the we spent time in the pool. When we returned to our room (421) to prepare for the night. We noticed that bugs were everywhere. On the light fixtures, curtains, walls and ceiling. I called down to the front desk to explain to them that we would like to check out. The front desk clerk (Crystal) at the time understood. She tried to offer another room, but I declined. She (Crystal) did say that the hotel had been having problems with bugs. She at the time said that she would refund us our money.

I’m not sure what happen between the time I called and came down stairs to check out. But she advised me that she could not give me my money back because I had went through a third person. When I called Booking they understood, but unfortunately told me that the property itself should refund me. After calling them multiple times and my card being charged twice. They (Anna) called the cops on me for harassment. I absolutely will never stay at this property or any comfort suites ever again. I have pictures to prove my case.

Then when I opened the door she said “Didn’t y'all check out” mind you first time ever at the hotel & just checked in that day. She started accusing us of smoking in the room off the rip when we did not. She couldve called the room phone if it was something serious. On a surprise visit to see my Soldier Daughter, I had a stay at this hotel from 7/2/2020 - 7/9/2020. My very first stay out of state by myself as my spouse could not make the trip. Upon entering the room I noticed the divider between the bed and the living area was broken and pointed it out to my daughter. Stay was as good as it could be. Due to COVID, there was no coffee, no breakfast, NO towels, NO pool, NO maid service for the entire stay. I had to request new towels and toilet paper at the front desk. I had to set my trash and towels outside of my room to be picked up. I didn't care about all of that as I was visiting my Soldier Daughter whom I had not seen in just under a year's time. Checked out and they asked me how my stay was, to which I responded was great because I got to spend quality time with my daughter.

Flash forward to this morning (07/16/2020) and pulling up my bank statement to being charged an additional $250. I called the hotel to be told that they charged me for damages to the room (for the broken divider). I politely told her that it was like that when I got to the room. She asked me if I reported it. I told her no because the maid service should have noticed that when they cleaned the room prior to my stay. She said it was MY responsibility to report any damages.

Ok, first off, again MY FIRST TIME traveling ALONE at 39 years old and out of town. TOO shady if you ask me. THEY knew it was broken and charged me for something I did not do. I don't know how people are raised in Texas but my MOM taught me right from wrong and if I indeed damaged something, I am the kind of person to make it right! I have called my credit card company and am disputing the charges. They should really be ashamed of themselves, preying on out-of-towners like that. It makes me wonder how many other people stayed in Room #423 of their hotel and were charged for this broken divider damage! I have also reported this to the Better Business Bureau.

I spoke to Juan, ** to make reservation for my sister and I Jan 9, 10, check out Jan 11, 2020. Juan told me my sister room could be paid for in cash when we arrived or it could be left on my credit card. My niece asked how much was her room so she could pay. The clerk told her $196.17. I had printed the Confirmations that was email to me, so I showed it to her and asked that the difference be credit back to my credit card. The double bed Queen was quoted as $119.00 and the King bed for my husband and I was 107.00 per night. Juan told me there would be a $12.99 service fee and it would not be refundable. I asked if there was other fees he said no and he said the $12.99 would not be charge to both reservation. The total cost on the email confirmation showed $295.33 for two Queen Beds Suite, and $267.50 for King bed Suite. My husband and I was given two Queen Beds Suite not the King bed.

The clerk let me talk to Manish **, General Manager. They both wanted me to talk to the third party they claim I made the reservation thru. I ask for corporate phone number. The clerk gave me the phone number to reservation. I spoke to Albert. Clerk spoke back to Manish. She told him I had something. She told him she was going to handle it. She hung up. She told me she could credit me the $196,17 and I could go some place else. Just a few minutes before she claim she did not know how to credit the money back to my credit card.

The clerk tried to provoke me by saying, "I am the Blonde that you have been beating upon for the last 45 minutes." I told her it was not about her, but she does represent the hotel that I thought was running the Scam and I thought she knew it was a scam. I sit in the Lobby to look up a number for Comfort Suite Corporate Office Phone number. The clerk brought me a piece of paper with Phone numbers to Agoda Support **, Price Line ** number not in service. Ret 35541828 Rm 204, and ** Choice reservation. The clerk gave me another number for price line 877 477-5807.

Online Comfort Suite Corporate number was listed as 301 592-5000. Terme answered, "Choice", Choice is the Corporate Office for Comfort Suite. The Hotel clerk told me Choice was their Franchise. Terme claim she was going to elevate my claim to someone who had the power to resolve my issue. She gave me two case numbers ** and **. I asked when will I hear something, was she going to call me back. She said, "No, but you will hear something." On Jan 10, 2020 I received an email. Joe (no last name) sent his regards. Claim my complaint had been reviewed and they contacted their hotel partners and they are not willing to make an exception.

I do not want an exception, I want you and your hotel partners to make this right, because Juan your representative misrepresented who he was and did not disclose all of the fees. Back to Terme, I asked if I could call her back at that number. She told me not to call that number I should call 800 521-2121. Terme said she would probably be around for a couple of days. I was in Detroit for two funerals one Friday, and one on Saturday.

Saturday morning I did not find the usual receipt under the door. I went downstairs early, because I did not want to be delayed for the funeral. I went to the front desk and today Jackie **, front desk Manager was there. I told her I was checking out. She looked in the computer and told me I was all set to go. I asked for a printed receipt with the amount on it, she said, "I can print a receipt but it will not have the amount on it." I said, "Well you can write it on the receipt." She wrote $196.17 on my receipt. Ms ** started to talk about what she thought had been cleared up on Jan 9. Ms ** told me the clerk should not have told us the rates.

I asked my niece to get a receipt for her mom's room. Ms ** told her the total cost was $222.33 which is different from the email confirmation $295.33, which is different from the clerk $196,17, which is different from the email Itinerary $282.34. We were quoted four different prices for for the same room, confirmation number **. My Credit Card was billed $282,34, $12.99, $267,50. I feel Comfort Suite/Choice Hotels the Clerk and Managers are a part of the SCAM that is going on at Comfort Suite/Choice Hotel 18950 Northline Road, Southgate, Michigan.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here the past weekend in Olive Branch MS. I paid for 2 nights which came out to be $208.95. On the first night my boyfriend got really sick and threw up on the bed which got on the comforter and sheets. Since it was so late we decided take them off the bed and sleep with what we had. The next day we go down stairs and ask the general manager Vicky, if we could get someone new sheets and possibly get the room cleaned. We were told the maids had went home for the day. I was very polite and asked for at least some new bed linens and we could make our own bed. We were then told that there wasn’t any bed material she could give us. I was still very polite and asked again, because I know there is no way there was none at all.

After she denied me again and basically told us we had to sleep with what was given to us, I waited until about an hour later and called the front desk to see if someone different was working. There was, and for the 3rd time, asked for some sheets. The new women told me she would do it while we were out doing errands. When we came back nothing was done. I then AGAIN, went and asked for some sheets was told that Vicky told them not to do anything about it, but FINALLY a nice gentleman named Wes gave us some sheets. HOWEVER, the next day my account was charged another $208.95. And 2 extra charges for $38. I have yet to get my “accidental” charges back and a FULL refund.

For a one night stay at Comfort Suites, 100 Wildwood Rd, Salem, VA, multiple charges were made by employees of Comfort Suites to my credit card for a total of $503.81. My final bill at checkout documented verbally & by a paper bill was a total charge of $118.95. I questioned the charges & the manager, **, told me at checkout the multiple charges would "drop off" & would not be charged to my account, but that did not happen. Today, a charge of $243.57 was fully processed & charged to my credit card. Three more charges are pending with total of $260.24. The credit card company is investigating the suspicious fraudulent activity. A billing discrepancy of this magnitude is not a mistake but is fraudulent billing. I reported this serious incident by voicemail to Choice Hotels, President & CEO, Patrick Pacious, but have not heard back from him.

In addition, the room numbers were documented on the doors by a piece of masking tape & handwritten numbers. Green, moldy looking substance was near bottom of bathroom commode upon arrival. Door of cabinet for refrigerator would not close & had damaged areas on finish. Odor of entire building was bad. Staff was rude! In my experience this was not comparable to my past experiences of stays with Choice Hotels.

This hotel seems like a newer build, however it is so poorly kept and made for a disappointing stop on our vacation. I wonder why the cleanliness has gone unnoticed by staff? I was highly stressed with three children staying in this hotel; I didn’t want (my children) to touch anything. It was extremely dirty and unkempt throughout.

Upon arrival to our room, we found several items left by others on the floor- an empty water bottle under the bed, an empty juice box under the sofa bed and a large bag of gummy bears, torn open and spilled out on the floor (gummies stuck to the carpet, even). There was a can of Coke left in the freezer that had exploded and our closet doors inoperable, completely off their tracks. When I documented this to the front desk staff member, no effort was made to compensate or rectify the situation. She insisted that the room was looked over and prepared for us.

The front lobby was filthy with handprints all over doors and walls. On the second floor, we stepped off the elevator to find a large bag of trash sitting on the floor and it remained there until the morning. The hall carpet was filthy- covered with fuzz and dirt and does not appear to have been vacuumed in a very long time! Even more, the pool area was disgusting. The doors to enter the pool were covered in handprints and the floor was dirty. The water was super cloudy and dirty. My children caught wads of hair as they swam and they even found a plastic bag floating in the pool! Does anyone attend to the facility? Are cleaning products being used and equipment maintained? Also, we hoped for a smoke free experience and it smelled of smoke throughout the facility. We were utterly disappointed and disgusted. What a shame!

I will NEVER stay at this hotel again! Three hours after checking out, I received an email alert from my credit card company showing that a new $250 charge was made to my account by the hotel. I immediately called the hotel back to inquire about the charge and was told by the front desk clerk that they charged me for "violation of their non-smoking policy". I am not, and never have been, a smoker! I cannot stand to around smoke! I always choose a hotel that states it is a non-smoking facility. I avoid any restaurants and other businesses that allow smoking. I do not allow smoking in my home or vehicle. I even avoid visiting relatives who smoke. During my call to the hotel, I told them that I did not smoke and there was no one else who came into my room and smoked. I was told that the manager is the one who had initiated the charge.

I asked to speak to the manager and was told that she wasn't in. I was transferred to her number and I left a voice message when she didn't answer. I tried again later and when my calls were not not returned, I sent emails requesting to be contacted. After a couple days, I called and emailed the corporate offices of Choice Hotels. Those who answered my calls and returned emails politely told me they were "sorry my stay was not satisfactory" but that "since the hotels are individually owned" there was nothing they could do and the decision regarding the charge was up to the hotel manager and out of their hands!

Finally, after several days, the hotel manager called me and stated corporate headquarters had contacted her about my complaint. She stated that she personally checks every room after a customer checks out and that there was a "strong odor of cigarette smoke" in the room I had occupied and she "had to have the room deep cleaned" because of it. I told her I was being wrongly accused, that there had been absolutely NO smoking in that room between the time I checked in and checked out. When she insisted that someone had smoked in the room, I said if she indeed smelled smoke, perhaps it was coming from another room, or outside the window, or perhaps it was a possibility that an employee had smoked in the room before she entered. She very adamantly stated that no employee was allowed in the rooms until after she had checked them. She refused to remove the charge.

I called my credit card company and told them I wanted to dispute the charge. After a few days, I received a letter from them stating that they had CONDITIONALLY reversed the charge to my account and that they had sent an inquiry to the hotel manager who would have 30 days to respond and provide proof that the charge was valid.

When I contacted my credit card company after more than 60 days had passed, I was told that they had received NO RESPONSE from the hotel manager and, therefore, the charge was permanently removed from my account. Finally! After more than FOUR MONTHS of my time spent on phone calls and emails (along with the emotional strain, aggravation, frustration, and lost sleep) because I had been falsely accused and charged for something I did not do! So, because of this incident, I will never stay at this hotel again and, if given any other option, I will not stay at another Choice Hotel again!

I decided to visit South Carolina and spend my birthday in the beautiful town my best friend decided to buy a home at. Upon the home getting prepared and renovations being wrapped up I stayed at what I THOUGHT would be a better choice from the Motel down the street. So the first night at 12685 HWY 56 N. in Clinton South Carolina was fine. I was sure I would be home away from home at Comfort Suites. I would find out the next day I was VERY WRONG. I asked front desk to make sure housekeeping cleaned my room, took out my trash and vacuumed. See my birthday is June 8th and my friend surprised me with balloons and a lot of gifts so the trash was filled with wrapping paper. I left that morning after breakfast June 6th and went to see this beautiful city. I came back to my room around 1:40 pm.

When I open the door to my room I immediately noticed that my bed was half made. The floor was not vacuumed, so I looked around the room and found that my trashcan was not emptied in the bathroom, my cups were not restocked, the coffee pot had not been cleaned. Although it had been taken apart it was not clean. My bag in my closet was turned around so I went down to the end of the hall where my housekeeper was and asked her if she could vacuum my floor, only for her to tell me very rudely that there was no room for her to vacuum. So I walked her back to my room to show her that there was room for her to vacuum and that my trash had not been emptied. She vacuumed in a straight line and left my alarm, never came back to fill my trashcan or finish cleaning the rest of my room and restocking my items.

I went to the front desk and let them know that my housekeeper was very rude and I need it soak in some more towels. The front desk person whose name is Kurt said he would have a talk with the housekeeper because he had gotten several complaints before. I seen a housekeeper on the first floor cleaning and I asked her if she had any soap on her cart. She said yes, asked me what she could do. I let her know I was on the fourth floor and the situation. She followed me upstairs to my room, looked around, apologized and said she would clean my room and re-stock everything. Her name was Belinda. As she was cleaning my room she asked the original housekeeper if she had a trash bag for my trash can. The housekeeper started yelling and talking loudly! As she came to my door the housekeeper began to wave her arms by my face.

The young lady Belinda that came up from the first floor said, "We do not talk to our guests this way" and asked the other housekeeper to please not touch the guest (who is me). I as well said. "Do not touch me or yell at me! Please move away from my door." I went down stairs to let the front desk know what happened and to look at the cameras. Kurt who was at the front desk said I should tell the General Manager what happened, so I did. As I was coming up the elevator with the General Manager whose name is Al **, I was told by Al ** that I should not be worried about it since I was checking out the next day. I could not believe what I heard. The housekeeper was still in my room while I was explaining NOW to the General Manager what happened. Al asked the young lady Belinda if she had to clean the room.

She informed him that she had to empty the trash, put a trash bag in the trashcan, get the towels, restock my coffee and vacuum, as well as wipe down the bathroom sink. Also told the manager how the original housekeeper was rude and came slamming my cups down on my counter and thought she was going to hit me, as I asked her to leave my room. I was not satisfied with the answer I received from the general manager so I went downstairs once again to ask for a number for customer service. That is where I met the general manager standing next to the front desk personnel, and Al ** wouldn’t give me his name or a number. Also told the front desk NOT to extend my stay if I wanted to stay until the 11th. Even if I paid.

Kurt was in fear I’ve seen anything in front of the general manager for what I did was to speak so he wrote down the number for me to call for customer service, slid it to me and told me to call the number and let them know what happened. I did just that. I was given a case number and was told to call back after I check out. Now I am looking for a different hotel to stay in.

I took this time to write this after praying, because NO ONE should have to deal with this type of customer service at all. Some people abuse their position and the power they have to instead of making a person feel welcome, belittle them. When I asked Al why I was not allowed to stay he said because I came back down to get a customer service number. No matter what take the time to write not just the bad but the good. Although I had a very bad and terrible experience I did have a good experience with the housekeeper and the front desk guy Kurt who gave me the information to call and courage to write this.

My teen daughter was flying home with a stop in Dallas. Her flight was cancelled and the airline booked 9 rooms in this hotel for those people cancelled and gave them vouchers. Upon check in my daughter gave them her debit card as they said they had to have it for incidentals! Upon looking at her account early the next morning I saw they had charged her $200+ which was taken out of her account and thrown her into overdraft.

I rushed. I put $350 in her bank account and called her to tell her to take care of it. She spoke with them and they told her “they didn’t see it”. I told her to check out and I would call them later that day. As time was approaching for her to check out at noon I checked her account to get the exact amount before calling. They had charged and saw they had AGAIN charged her debit card $200+ and a second time sent her into overdraft! I called and spoke to the general manager and was yet again told they couldn’t see it. This left my daughter with $20 to survive on for the next 6 hours was she waited for her plane!!! This isn’t enough for anyone less own a type 1 diabetic who has eat and use insulin to live!!!!

Fortunately I called my bank and since I have names with them for 20 years they reversed one of the charges and I had her draw out all of that money immediately from an ATM. I ended up going to my bank once she got home and the 2nd charge was credited back 3 or 4 days later. UNFORTUNATELY that isn’t the end. Today I checked her account and almost a week later the SAME hotel charged $328 to her card!!!! Of course their same excuse is “we don’t see it”. I called the corporate complaint number and their answer was that each hotel bills through their own system and I just received a call from the hotel saying they can’t get my card out of their system and I “need to cancel it or it will keep charging!!! I travel 100% of the time for my business. For the last few years I have been a loyal customer of the Choice Hotel brand. I stay at their Comfort Suites properties exclusively. As of this date I will no longer be a customer. Tomorrow I am filing a consumer complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs and here is why.

I have experienced a few of the complaints, that I have been reading about this company, and up until now I have felt that the good outweighed the bad, until tonight. I checked into the Comfort Suites in Benbrook, TX. this evening. It was my second stay here. Upon check in I ask for the same rate that I had been given before. The lady that I was talking to, who was checking me in, was nice and professional.

However, a younger lady walked up behind her and interjected herself into our conversation and she was very "curt" and somewhat belligerent. She informed me that she could not authorize a discount, even though I was only asking for the same rate that I was given just a few weeks ago, this did not matter. She informed me that if I wanted to stay there that the rate was not negotiable and that if I wanted a different rate that I would have to speak to the property manager the next day. Even though she was still going to charge my credit card for the regular rate.

I tried to speak to the lady that was trying to check me in and each time this other employee continued to interject herself into the conversation. She was rude and beginning to be obnoxious. I told her that I wanted her name and her manager's name at which point she told me that "was fine and that I could have it". I told her that she had a lot to learn about customer service and that I was calling their corporate office and filing a complaint against her because of her attitude and she told me that she did not care. She processed my credit card for the standard rate for two days because I was checking out on Friday. Whenever I got to my room I checked my credit card account to verify the amount authorized which was accurate to what I was quoted. About 20 minutes after arriving in my room I received a phone call on the hotel phone from the front desk asking if everything was okay with my room and to let them know if I needed anything.

About one hour later I received a call from the property manager, even though I was told that she could not be contacted until the next business day, supposedly! The property manager ask me to tell her what had transpired during my check in and I explained the entire situation. She apologized for the employee's behavior and I told her that she may consider some additional training for this young lady in customer service and how to better handle a dispute involving a customer. She then informed me that I needed to go back down to the front desk and pay for my two days stay! I informed her that I had already paid for the two days and that I had verified this through my credit card online account. She told me that she was going to check on this to verify that and that she would call me back within the hour.

She called me back about two hours later and informed me that my credit card had been declined and that I needed to take care of this because she could not allow me to stay without paying for the two days. THIS IS FRAUDULENT! I have proof that they had been authorized by my bank, for this amount for the two days, upon check in. The manager even ask me to use another credit or debit card to take care of these charges! I packed up all of my belongings even though I was dressed for bed. It was a little after 9:00 CDT.

I went down to the desk and questioned this same employee that I had a dispute with about why they were claiming that my card was declined when she had processed my card for the two days upon check in and the authorization had been given? I even showed her on my phone where this amount had been authorized by my credit card company to Comfort Suites, and it even had the time stamp on it, and that it was not declined and all she would say was "your card was declined". She stated this about three times and I informed her that her company had better reverse the charges back to my credit card that had been authorized to them. She would not engage in an intelligent conversation concerning this matter. She only repeated what she had already said which was your card was declined. THIS IS A LIE. It was not declined and they were given an authorization for the two days room charge and I have proof of that!

I had to find another motel at 9:30 at night without a reservation. To say that I am livid is an understatement!!! I plan on calling my credit union as soon as they open in the morning to hopefully stop this transaction from being paid. In addition Comfort Suites has tied up $189.10 of my credit card line of credit. This may seem a little amount to some but it's not to me. The amount is not as important as the principle of this situation! This is ridiculous! Tip for consumers: Conduct due diligence on this company! I didn't until tonight when I experienced my own problem with this them. I highly recommend that you not stay at any of their properties!!!

The shower is dirty, and housekeeping refused to clean, there is mold and such growing in the bathroom, and the shower has never been cleaned in a very very long time. OMG. Try to get clean towels. I got to the point, I checked out 2 days early, just because they refuse to clean the bathroom, and repair the furniture or the running toilet. This place is a total rip off joint, and the bad thing is they refuse to keep the rooms in the proper condition to rent to people.

Stay away from the breakfast buffet, it's dirty, cold nasty eggs and over grease bacon, that's sitting in grease, with spilled food all over the food area, and never cleaned. I have pictures of everything, and will be contacting the inspector to check this place, and FT Sill, since they get a lot of military staying there, that may change after the pictures I am going to send Fort Sill that allow folks to stay there with this piss poor cleaning and rip off service.

I slept because I wasn't feeling well and I was in the room of a friend, who was staying there for a 2 day stay. I feel asleep on the pull out sofa bed and awoke to bites on my body. I saw the Dr the next day and he told me I had bug bites. I notified the hotel management and was hung up on. After calling back, the GM of this rank hotel, a Mr. **, cursed at me and told me what a fine hotel he had and this was after I told him of my experience. He outright lied to me. He told me that after receiving the complaint from corporate, who I called first, he had the room completely emptied and the professional bug people come in and debug the room. What a lie.

A friend works there and told me that none of this happened. I then called the owner of this hotel, Joshi Hotel Group, a few days later and the person who answered was a man who identified himself as Victor. He sounded polite and listened and told me to call back in a few days after he discussed the problem with his boss. A few days later the phone number is disconnected. What a bunch of losers these people are. They pretend to help but the only thing they do is cover their tracks and lie to customers. I suggest no one gets a room in this stank hole of fungus hotel EVER. When the supervisors curse and lie to customers, it's easy to figure out what else goes on in this stank place. I tried to handle this in a professional manner but they wanted to handle this like a bunch of kids playing in mud. Returned and found out at 11 at night that the air conditioning may or may not sound like it was running, but it was not cold (or even cool) air. Phone didn't work, so I had to go down to the front desk. Unfortunately for us, there were no rooms to change to with 2 queen beds. They informed us that our choice (this is a hotel with Choice Hotels) was to leave without charge or stay in a 77-degree room with full charge.

They suggested opening the blinds, closing the blinds, turning the fan from on to auto, and they would 'leave a note' for the morning people. There was no empathy and their sincerity for sympathy was delivered as a well-rehearsed (obviously repeated often) "I'm sorry, but there is nothing I have the ability to do for you". $100+ night stay and the outside Florida temperature is 76 degrees but Comfort Suites is happy to welcome you with a 77-degree room. The hotel received from website reserving for Monday June 12th. With check in time of 3 pm. Got confirmation email on June 12 at 3:32 pm. Wife noticed and I called and talked with rude manager who told me it was my mistake and they have it down as a no show. I asked what proof that I made a mistake, "You got a notification from a website." How do you know it wasn't there by mistake? Didn't make any difference. Wouldn't refund money and was told they are full. So, second thing. If my mistake it is ok to take advantage. Does she teach her children that?

My wife called and talked with choicehotels and they called to get our refund or work something out and they couldn't get anywhere with manager either. After a quick search noticed a few others with similar situation with choicehotels.com and other hotels chains in other parts of country and manager states policy is to keep the money. So my family is out, changes made to our trip for our high functioning Autistic children and had less money to spend. I will never use this website again and will never use sites or any of their sister companies again. Visa wouldn't help us, so guess we'll be switching cards, they claims there is no proof. Well neither does the hotel chain have proof that would work on court but guess companies help each other more than people. Shameful. What goes around will come around.

We proceeded back to hotel same exact way we came down looking for these "signs". Nowhere to be found walk way nor Comfort suites, Interior or exterior. I then asked to speak with a manager. She wasn't in. I asked Front desk guy "Hugo" questions about signs. He didn't know any information at all. I then asked when the manager would be in. He replied that he didn't know. Next morning after breakfast at hotel we went to gift shop across the street. May spent about a hour. Upon return we noticed Worker from our hotel zip tying a SIGN to the very door we first took to the beach that read "NO GLASS ANYTHING ON BEACH"... Now anyone in their right state of mind and does not need problems like 500.00 tickets correct?

I asked him how long since they didn't have the sign or was it new? He said sign has not been there for week.. So I finally spoke with manager. A female Hispanic that was beyond rude not helpful at all. I simply asked about their sign policy she cut me off and said there is no policy and its courteous from Comfort Suites to customers.. Ok so a customer that just paid 1100.00 for 4 days or any customer is not important to you? She replied that they are not responsible and said they could not in any way discount anything for the troubles of a PAYING customer. I then asked for corporate office info and ended the conversation with her... Buyer beware. Very rude staff, Stale faces, Incoherent, Overpriced, Pool is very very small. I am going higher up even if I need to contact news agency. I have videos and pics on bridges, roads, hotels.

After traveling 9 hours in my car, my sister and I arrived at Comfort Suites in Nacogdoches, Texas at 3:12 pm on December 24, 2016. It was so hot in the lobby and hallway I almost lost my breath. We checked in and went to the room and left to go celebrate Christmas Eve with my son and his family. After returning back to the hotel later that evening, we went to our room and proceeded to get ready for bed. I had my pj's on and made the bed down to see a dark stain on the bottom sheet. I picked it up to examine it to see what it was, but it disappeared. I let go of it and the stain appeared again, so I raised the bottom sheet to look and the mattress pad and there was blood on it. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life. I immediately called the front desk and the guy told me that he could me us to another room. I took him up on his offer, even though I was so very tired and frustrated.

He gave us another room on the same floor and I looked it over good, I thought. We went to bed and the next morning (Christmas Day) we noticed that the ceiling had ladybugs on it. When we left to go back to my son's house on Christmas Day, I stopped by the front desk and told the clerk about the ladybug and he said he could move us to yet another room. I didn't take him up on that offer because I didn't feel that the ladybugs would pose a threat to us. I ask to speak to the manager, Renee **, but he told me that she wasn't in yet. That was at 10 am. That night when we arrived back, I stopped by the front desk again and ask to speak to the manager. The clerk told me that she wasn't there, but would be there the next morning.

The next morning, Monday, 12/26, I went to the front desk on my way out again and ask for the manager. The clerk told me she wasn't there, but would be there later that day. That night when we arrived back, I ask to speak to the manager again, but she wasn't there but would be there the next morning. The next morning (Tuesday, Dec.27) was when we were to check out. I went to check out and ask to speak to the manager, but she told me that she wasn't there, so I left a message for her to call me back. The clerk assured me that the manager would call me that day, but she didn't.

I called again today and the clerk told me that she wasn't in, but that she did give her my message and would give her my message again. All I wanted to do is to let her know about the problems I had and to possibly have a discount for my 3 night stay. I told the clerk that I will never stay with that chain again. Oh, I went on their website to write my review, but it is impossible to get to it.

I want to provide the details of the horrible customer service experience my three sisters and I had at Comfort Suites Historic District in Savannah, Georgia during September 23-25, 2016. For the sake of brevity, I will enumerate each issue that we experienced.

    1. The hotel reservation staff member initially did not honor the rates I was given when I booked via Expedia.com. I was told that I had to prove to her the rates when I booked per Expedia. When I asked to speak to the "acting manager", he upheld the clerks actions, by saying that he's had trouble with Expedia and that they've asked many guests to show their reservation letters to prove their rates.

    2. I discovered that my checking account was charged in error twice after check-in.

    3. The room was not cleaned properly; upon entering the room, on the headboard of the bed were multiple finger prints.

    4. There was only one shuttle bus. On Friday night we called twice over a span of 20-minute intervals requesting a pick-up to return to the hotel room. We were never picked up, we ended up walking 4-5 blocks back to the hotel.

    5. While sitting in the hot tub all of 2 minutes, noticed a ring of dirt around the whole of the tub.

    6. Our key cards kept malfunctioning. When we asked to have them recoded, in essence we were scolded and told "you need to make sure that you don't have the card by your cell phone, credit cards."

    7. On the last night of our stay, I realized that my card had now been charged four times inappropriately. When asked for an explanation of this matter by the acting manager, she replied "ma'am I can't tell you what happened". She never attempted to resolve this matter or promise to follow-up to find out the cause of the error.

    8. Spoke to the acting general manager regarding being asked to prove my room rate, to which he began to tell me that asking for proof of the rate was something they asked many customers to do; and went on to say that reservations are only to hold the room, not the rate.

    9. When I attempted to contact the hotel's customer service to complain, was left on hold for a total of 30 minutes and no one ever came to the line.

It's simple. I paid cash for 2 of the 3 nights, the hotel hit my card two and refunded only one. The phone and a/c didn't work, reported to the front desk no action taken. The manager apologized about the billing but didn't resolve issue totally. There were roaches in the room also reported, no action taken. This is typical of hotels that are franchises, the owner don't care about their reputation and always have issues with billing. The manager is never there & will not return my calls. I've written emails & letters with no response. I've had bank dispute center working on getting a refund. The manager tells them I received a refund. He seems to overlook the fact that I was charged twice. They informed me last week they are giving up & I need to continue the pursuit myself. I contacted the Choice Hotel's customer relations. I received an email yesterday stating too much time has passed for them to do anything.

We booked a room online for the Comfort Suites/Inn in Pelham, AL. The hotel stunk and the halls had trash and were dirty as we made our way to our room. The room was filthy and didn't seem to have been cleaned from the previous guest. We went down and asked for a refund. The clerk refused saying we would have to go through the online number since we booked online.

The online number said they needed an okay from her to refund our money. She refused to talk to them unless they called her directly. I asked her to write her name down for me as I was going to report her for her rude attitude. She refused telling me that's why she wears a name tag. Her name tag said Keisha. She told me if I called in, all they would tell me is that she is one of their best. She was rude and very condescending. When the online service called her, she repeated her name as LaKeisha. The online service was very nice to deal with, but Keisha told us they were 3rd party.

After coming home, I read reviews that several people have reported filth and bed bugs on this location. I'm thanking my lucky stars that we were able to stay awake to travel further down the road to find a clean and courteous place to stay. I'm not sure which I would give a lower rating to, the filthy room or the rude clerk. Equally disgusting.

She told us "There are lots of kids in the pool, if your kids wants to use pool, they can go after 10 pm..." Which the pool is open from 6 am to 10 pm. When we came back from dinner at 9 pm, there were still many same kids were in the pool, so we decided to go in early next morning. We woke up at 7 am and went down to eat breakfast, there was no front desk clerk. Their orange juice was watered down which was absolutely no taste. Horrible. Their coffee was watered down and taste horrible. Donuts was still in plastic package and melted icing. Then, there were bunch of kids and several parents came down. These were the kids in the pool night before.

We noticed a lady who is holding a baby and trying to getting food with these group. It looks like they are her friend. But we find out she was working at front desk... But she was getting breakfast with friend. We went back to our room and we asked the pool is opened which is supposed to be opened at 6 am. The lady answer the phone and she said "No pool this morning because there were too many kids were in the pool last night, it did not get cleaned." Our kids were so disappointed. Our 7 year old daughter said, "They should have cleaned during night. So other kids could use it at 6 am" which it said in the hotel room. We decided to leave. When we returned the key, that lady saw us but she was busy eating and holding her baby and didn't even come get keys or nothing... It was terrible experience and I do not recommend to stay this Comfort Suites to anyone. There is no professionalism and no class at this hotel.

I said I would talk to my son, but manager called police and had them throw us out. We asked to speak with a manager by phone, but she refused to take our call and told the desk clerk that the GM would deal with us on Monday morning. However, we were leaving on Sunday to go home. We were 350 miles from home at 11:00 pm on Saturday night without a room. Our problem did not seem to concern the desk clerk or GM that they were throwing out two senior citizens.

We returned to our room not knowing what to do, but shortly thereafter two policemen were at our door demanding that we leave immediately or place us under arrest and spend the night in the county jail. Very disappointed in the manner in which Comfort Suites deals with their guests, and completely shocked that the General Manager, when called by phone, flat-out refused to assist us in this terrible situation. Let this be a warning to anyone who considers booking at Comfort Suites.

I'm staying at a Comfort Suites hotel in North Bergen, NJ on 1200 Tonnelle Ave. I check out in the morning and 9 am cannot come fast enough. Let me start with check in. I presented my organization credit card authorization form. I gave it to the desk clerk who said she needed to resubmit our credit card (even though our director of operations got the card authorized days earlier and hotel cards are not charged until the end of the stay). 10 seconds later, she said the organization card was declined. I asked to review the form and found that she had a form that belonged to someone else. When I brought this to her attention, she didn't apologize, instead she asked me why I gave her this form. I had no idea who was listed on that form and knew I never had that form in my possession. And again, our card was authorized and the money was cleared.

We check in and everything is fine until morning. One of my teens, all here for a youth leadership conference in Manhattan, went downstairs for breakfast. She was joined by two more of her peers a short time later. She and her peers were questioned by two staff members who needed to verify that they were guests of the hotel. By the time they finished questioning them, one of the teens was so upset, she decided not to eat. What added to their insult was the group of white teens who drew no attention from staff and were not questioned. They came back to the room and told me about the incident, but when I went downstairs, I could not find the staff person(s) and I saw no one at the front desk.

After returning to the hotel at 1145 pm last night, while walking towards the elevator, a front desk staff person questioned all of us about our group and asked if we were actually guests of the hotel. I responded explaining that we had been here since Friday afternoon. I took the teens to the room and returned to the front desk to ask why my party continues to get questioned about our status as guests. He proceeded to give an extremely weak excuse saying Comfort Suites age cut off for children is 12. He also said he felt it was a fire hazard having all of us in one room (even though the room advertises that it sleeps up to 8 people).

He went on to explain how NY law prohibits that many people in one room and if he were at the desk at check in, he would have said something. I explained how we booked on Expedia and Comfort Suites has an child age drop box that goes up age 17 AND the room was advertised as a suite for up to 8 people. He stuttered saying he would need to look into this and gave a very weak apology.

Basically, it's clear we were treated unfairly because we are black! I am careful not to make this claim too quickly because it's important to examine all factors that contribute to an incident but, in this case, I can say with certainty, this had everything to do with race. I leave this hotel this morning with an extremely bad taste in my mouth. I am hurt, humiliated, and feel staying here was a huge mistake. My rating: 1 star... F for failure. With many regrets.

I told her that the bumps that I have on my body aren't normal asked her to think of it as if she had a mom or sister that stayed at a hotel and then the next morning they had bumps on the body. She said that she was call the commercial Cooks pest control and have them come and look at the room. Several hours later I received a phone message that they inspected the room and found nothing. However, I actually called the place myself to see if anyone was called to the facility to check and I was told no. This means ** lied to me. The receptionist came up with a vacuum cleaner and removed part of them. After he left, I had to kill approximately 10-20 more. I was told the whole hotel had them. Our knob on the bathtub was loose. You could hardly adjust the temperature for your shower.

A remodeling had been done and the bath door opened outward instead of inward. When open, you could not open the closet door. They were in too close proximity and kept hitting. The closet was a small one and if I had brought a large suitcase, it would not have fit in the closet. The small suitcase I had brought kept hitting the sliding door and I had to move it so I could open the door. VERY FRUSTRATING! This was one of the worst stays at a Comfort Suites hotel I have ever had!!! This does not reflect on the receptionists at the front desk. I had no problem with either one of them. I had to go find the cleaning guy to come clean my room as the room was still left like it was when we left. He just seemed like he did not care. We checked into the Comfort Inn Modesto California. Upon registering into your hotel we were not asked to register our car as is usual at all hotels. We asked attendant if they had security cameras. They replied yes! We however DID NOT ask if they were "Working security cameras". The attendant should have disclosed they DID NOT HAVE WORKING working cameras at that time. There were two attendants at the time of registering. We moved our car under a security light and a security camera. We were awakened at 1:20 a.m. by the female clerk telling us our car had been broken into and the Modesto Police department was outside waiting for us. When we got outside the police department was waiting for us. Someone had broken out our back passenger window and stolen numerous items from our car.

After one hour with the police officer giving him our information. He told us the clerk did not have our car registered and he had to run our Arizona plates to find out who owned the car. My husband moved our car to the front door of the hotel. He then walked the perimeter of the hotel in hopes that he would find some of our property that was stolen. He noticed the male clerk from earlier registration asleep in his car in the front of the hotel.

We spent until 5:00 a.m. making phone calls to take care of the car burglary. At 9:00 am my husband went down to explain that we had been burglarized and we would not be able to make the 11:00 a.m. check out time. The clerk assured us that we could have the extended check out time of 2:00 p.m. at no charge. Upon our check out we encountered the manager and explained our situation to her. She said the security cameras were not working due to painting. There were no signs of painting going on upon our arrival or our checking out. I assure you that is correct as my husband has been a painter for over 40 years.

There wasn't any hospitality or apologies given to us at any time of our stay with the Comfort Inn. In my opinion your hotel was negligent in not telling us the cameras were NOT WORKING and also in trying to charge our credit card for the extended stay charge. Your hotel is a disgrace to the chain of Comfort Inns! We will NOT be staying at your chain again and I assure you we will discourage anyone and everyone we know NEVER to visit the Modesto hotel at 2025 W. Orangeburg Avenue. Modesto California 95350. or for that matter the Comfort Inn Chain. We left your hotel feeling cheated out of the truth, feeling devastated over what had happened to us at your hotel. We stayed there in "Good Faith" and trusting in your employees and manager and left there feeling that we were not told the truth and feeling violated because of it.

I made a reservation at a Comfort Suites Hotel on Saturday, July 18th, 2015. This was a out-of-town getaway for a birthday celebration. I paid $221 for a King Jacuzzi Suite, which was the only available room at the time. I had one adult and an 18-yr-old and a 16-yr-old with me. I was forced to pay extra for two roll away beds, which were horrible old flat plastic mattresses with linens that looked like they were from the 1970's. The Jacuzzi wasn't even working properly. The TV was extremely small. The pool was very small as well. For the price I paid, I expected much better amenities. We didn't even stay at the room most of the day and night, but when we did return, there was a large group of fraternity men that were grilling and tailgating in the parking lot with open intoxicants and the smell of marijuana was very strong. The entire hotel smelled like weed at one point.

When we woke up and went to get breakfast, it was about 9:50 a.m. The breakfast bar closes at 12. I attempted to make some plates and the attendant was very rude and started pulling items off of where I was cooking waffles right as I was making them. I said that I was just trying to make a couple waffles real quick. She stated that "if everyone keeps coming at the last minute 'we' will not get out of here until 12:30." She was very rude.

On top of all of this, about an hour after checkout, I received an alert from my bank that an additional charge of $150 was debited from my account. I called immediately and the front desk lady said that the room "reeked" of weed. I was shocked. We are non-smokers and had children with us!! Their attitude and demeanor was ridiculous. I mentioned to the manager about the partying frat "boys" and they just ignored me. I am sure it was because it was the same staff girls that were out there smoking and flirting with them as well.

I am in contact with my bank disputing these charges because I was put on hold several times and when I did finally get in contact with a representative, it was like talking to a wall. So, I am completely dissatisfied with this stay and the high amount that I was charged for it. I will never stay with Comfort Suites again, and I will make sure that I will never recommend this chain to anyone ever again. The problem with these types of hotels is that they are greedy, money hungry people with zero knowledge of professionalism. It is a shame that we are the ones that suffer for it.

The hotel staff claims to have never seen my heavy duty wallet but I know the hallway camera will say different. I involved the police department but seeing how I live in another state, I doubt my valuables will turn up. I just need my ID's, they can have the money. I just want everyone to know the Comfort Suites of New Bern NC staff members have robbed me, a frequent customer. Please help. July 4, 2015

Being from NJ, we chose this hotel based on the proximity to the events we were attending and on-line reviews. Basic hotel etiquettes were not met. There were stains on the floor, the love seat, and the walls. There was a cigarette in the toilet when we checked in (non-smoking room). We brought this to the staff's attention and our room was switched.

The 2nd room was slightly better although there were stains on THAT love seat. The front desk associate told us that was due to former guests leaving wet pool towels on the furniture and they were in the process of cleaning/replacing them. One of the handles on the dresser was broken off. We had a 2 night stay and the coffee pot was never cleaned. Pillow cases were ripped. There's a swimming pool, and we were told to use the towels in the pool room, but there were no towels there. The chairs and tables by the pool were stained and mildewed. There's also an odd odor throughout the hotel - not bad, but odd. We made mention of some of the issues to the staff. The staff, I would say, was the only pleasant part of our experience.

We had been driving for 10 hours with a 5 year old, promising her she could go in the pool when we got to the hotel. We chose this hotel because of the pool. When we parked, (finding a space was already a problem) we could immediately smell chlorine and hear kids screaming from the pool area. We checked in to a handicapped room which was at the end of a hall on the 2nd floor and as far as I could see the only handicap accommodations were a couple of badly placed grab bars in the bathroom. So we went to the pool and it was overrun with about a dozen unruly kids (12-15 years) and looked dirty. No adults and the desk clerk could hear them.

So we went to eat and three hours later, trying to keep our promise to the child who reminded us often of the promise, we tried again. The same out of control kids, running jumping, screaming. Still no adults. We did not want to go to the lobby in our swimsuits and it seemed silly to complain because it was obvious that the clerk knew what was going on. With all the chlorine we could smell we hoped the pool wasn't as dirty as it looked so we tried to go in. We nicely asked the wild kids to please be careful because we didn't want the child to be hurt and we didn't want her to be splashed because she would get water in her ears and had to fly the next day. They ignored us.

So we tried the outdoor pool area (although it was cool out) and more of the wild kids were out there actually spraying a hose. We did tell the desk clerk but no action was taken. Then we were refused a receipt when we left and the bad review we tried to leave on their website was refused. Their website also refused to let me leave a complaint. Never again will we stay at ANY choice hotel.

I took my wife to Texas to visit her family. While there she got sick so we decided to go to a hotel the last few days of our trip. We were quoted one price via phone. We never bothered no one, heck, we even cleaned our own room. We only asked the staff for towels and traded in the dirty ones. We even tipped the houseladies. While we stayed there it seemed okay. Now comes the awful part.

Upon checkout, we were not given a bill. We were in a rush to catch a plane and a man, who "claims" to be a GM, goes by 2 names said he would email us a copy. He never did. Upon calling, we were told they charged us a 'smoking' fee for us smoking in their room. This never happened! So we asked to speak to manager, lady said she's the manager and we did smoke and she was in the process of gathering up employees to attest to it. I explained "No, we even smoked outside with employees!!" As a fact, my son purchased a pack of cigarettes for one of their workers as she was down on her luck and my son is kind. It took me numerous emails to even get a copy of my bill. We knew it was incorrect as I called my credit card company and they said there were numerous amounts from comfort suites, pending!!! They were not even going to tell me they overcharged us!!!

Here is my main complaint: I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE, FROM WHAT I'VE READ, BEING DONE LIKE THIS! Mr. ** is using 2 different names and stealing from us consumers. He told my wife "If you don't like it, complain to Consumer Affairs", this is how I've learned of this site. How much LONGER AND HOW MANY MORE CONSUMERS MUST BE RIPPED OFF BEFORE ANY ACTION IS TAKEN? This GM knows he is getting away with Theft and Fraud, so he and all these other Choice Hotels, aka Comfort Suites, are a disgrace to what our justice system is all about. I am begging: someone please hear the outrage of myself and all these other customers!!!! This is so wrong. So very wrong.

As a repeat customer within the past 3 weeks we were refused the same service that was given to us, (my friend, her son, myself and my kids), on our previous visit. The front desk attendant ** refused to take my debit/visa card, the one I used on our last stay, because it was a visa/debit card. When ** checked the system to see if we stayed before, ** stated there was no record of a previous stay using that card. Because I had heart trouble during our travels my husband followed not long behind. He was picking up a prescript. for me and on the phone asked if he could give his credit card to **, again he said NO! My husband then called again and asked if he would just take it to start the check-in and he would be there in a few minutes with the card. ** said NO.

The only service he said he could provide for us was to cancel our reservation through expedia without charge. I was so angry as I was with my son who was getting on a plane at 5 a.m. for soccer in Italy and we had to look for another place to stay. Went to Marriott down the road, was asked to slide my card, sign the box and they told me to have a good evening. Took 2 minutes of our time, same as our first visit to Comfort. Would not recommend anyone to stay at Comfort Suites for the treatment we received as return customers. We travel to Seattle a lot and was happy to continue giving Comfort Suites our business but not now.

We went to Texas to see my sister whom lives in Copperas Cove. We stayed at her home, until I became ill. My spouse went to the hotel to see about renting a room for 2 days. This was on 3-6-2015. My spouse was given a Generic Form Letter with a rate of 80.99 from 3/7/15 - 3/8/15. We were supposed to stay until the 9th, as our plane left on that day. Now, on top of the letter, the dates are correct and were 3/7/15 - 3/9/15. See how they deceived us regarding the rate? They ''quoted'' us a one-day rate. We did not ''catch it'' until it was too late. It was unsigned by a manager. Long story short, we were billed 3 different amounts to our credit card!!!! Trust me when I say, for those amounts, I could have stayed at the Taj Mahal. On 3-8-2015, a woman knocked on our door and although we had a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door, she BURST into our room!!! My spouse and I were at church, my sister was there at the time.

My sister jumped up screaming and the woman fled the room. After arriving back from church, my sister told us what had happened. We immediately went to report this to the front desk. Not once did anyone bother to phone the police! They simply changed our room key and we were told, "Ah no sense in changing rooms, you will be leaving anyways tomorrow." Fast forward to check out: upon checking out, we asked for our bill. We were told by the manager, "I am going over video tapes to see who entered your room and I will email you the bill." KNOWING we HAD to leave, or miss our flight, we had no choice but to leave, without our bill. When we found out that 3 separate charges were on our credit card, I called the hotel. **, who was the "Front Desk Manager" was VERY belligerent and ended up hanging up on me!!!! She claimed we were smoking in the room. NOT TRUE!

She proceeded to say they had ''statements'' from employees who would attest to that. Well, I will say this one thing: STAY CLEAR OF ANY of Choice Hotels. I only wish I had read this prior to checking in. I told ** that I would be disputing these charges on my credit card, she then THREATENED me with police and hung up on me! I've sent 2 emails to the GM, heard NOTHING. He has NEVER called my husband either. This is WRONG!!! Very WRONG. From what I am reading, this hotel chain is very corrupt and enjoys stealing from people. I venture to say "IF" there are any statements, as ** said, they were made up to cover for the fact that whomever entered our room, to rob us, THIS IS CALLED DEFLECTION. I did contact Copperas Cove Police. This seems to be a problem with this hotel. I AM LIVID. If I had a - star rating, I'd give them a -10. The most God AWFUL experience I've ever had with a hotel.

My husband and I are in our 50's and empty nesters with two small dogs 10 & 14 yrs. We need to travel to visit one of our sons. We wish to stay at a hotel close to his home. His home is very small. We enjoy having a pool to take our granddaughter swimming and we like quiet time after a long fun day with the family.

We are responsible adults and pet owners. We pick up after our pets outside. We never leave them in the room alone. We treat our hotel room like it was our home. I realize every visitor is different and that is why rules need to be put in place. Because we have pets we always get put into a pet room, and it's noticeable. We don't complain because we wish to have our dogs with us. The problem is we are now banned from the Comfort Suites by our son's home because we have two dogs and only one is allowed under 40 lbs. Our two together aren't 20 lbs.

I believe NEW guidelines need to be put in place. I don't mind paying an extra fee because we have two small dogs. What I think should be changed is, you bring your pet(s) in during registration, and exceptions can be made to the one dog rule. Every pet friendly hotel we have ever stayed at, I've seen large piles of dog waste. Why do pet owners of larger dogs NOT clean up after their dog? We stayed 4 nights and the same pile of waste at time of check in was still there close to the main entrance. Also a pile on the outside patio by the swimming pool. I'm not upset with the Hotel for this. I'm upset that people don't care enough to do what is right. This behavior ruins it for all who wish to stay at a pet friendly hotel. Can it really take that much time during registration to ask to see the dog(s)?

I also travel with our dogs Veterinary papers, I'd be happy to show these. I think it should be a case by case. Look at who is traveling with a pet, look at the pet(s). Don't judge all pet owners the same. You don't judge families of more than one child do you? I hear more noise from babies and children then I ever do from pets. Looking for another pet friendly hotel around Caledonia, MI.

I have never in my life been treated so badly by a business and by owner/upper management at that. I living there for 3 weeks and went above and beyond to be a great guest and was complimented multiple times by front desk employees and the maids because the entire time I was there I cleaned my room (even vacuuming), supplied it myself when I'd go to maid laundry room and they would give me what I needed that day and I would turn in dirty laundry.

And we only complained once although we had many reasons to complain and we only complained because my husband works 6 days a week, 12-14 hour days and he's up at 5:30 and although there was an entire hotel vacant that particular weeknight, staff put 2 very large children's groups directly above us and although they had the entire hall I'm assuming with complete disregard for anyone else, the supervising adult let all the children play in one room together and of course the one directly above us.

There were at least 40 kids and it was shaking our entire room like there was a herd of elephants above us. Although these thing happened repeatedly, we were beyond grateful to have a place to lay our heads at night because we were homeless with our children at the time so we chose not to be complainers and the best guests possible. My very first morning there, after spending the previous day on the freeway all day in the heat with all of my worldly possessions and my 2 children with a blowout, we wake up to the toilet overflowing.

I call and they send maintenance to fix it and not even 10 mins later I get a phone call from the front desk to say that I am not in a pet room, which was their mistake and proceeded to make me feel horrible about what an extensive problem it was to sanitize the room again for allergies. So I had to move my pets, 2 kids and all of my things by myself to the other side of the hotel with no luggage racks, but in order for my kids to have a roof over their heads I did it without complaining.

The second incident with Mr. ** again was the most demeaning humiliating experience of my life. I had only gotten coffee and cereal the one time I had gotten the continental breakfast although we were there 3 weeks and we're charged $120 a day to have pets, so you think our family getting breakfast would be welcomed. My second and last time in there I got up early on a Sunday morning to go get my family breakfast. I was by myself so that in turn led me to make several trips to take food back to my room while my family slept. Between homemade waffles, cups of syrup, coffee and juice it was quite a few trips for a family of 4 considering.

The entire time I stood waiting for my waffles, one at a time and I moved every time someone came up to get one and then continued on when they were done so and not to appear stingy. I noticed the 2 Spanish women standing in the kitchen glaring at me and blatantly pointed and talked about me with disgusted looks on their faces. When the waffles would be cooking I would prepare something else like the coffee as to not waste time, and every time one of the women would race out of kitchen and literally push or shove I'm front of me and being to refill whatever I was using and block it so I couldn't use it. I was totally shocked.

As I went to make my lady trip I saw both women race into the main lobby and calling me names in Spanish. So I followed the women into lobby and they were talking to the manager Mr. ** and pointing at me. When they left the room I directly asked him were those women complaining about me. He said “I'm busy, now’s not the time” and I said, “Well that’s fine, I'll make a complaint” and he then replied that the women were complaining about how much food I took. I told him exactly how they had treated me although it was only my 2nd time in there and I was carrying back food to my room for 4 people and he blatantly in front of the whole lobby said, and I quote, "The continental breakfast is an incentive to get guests to back again, it's not meant to be groceries.”

I was shocked and completely embarrassed and walked away, which he later apologize for. The last incident was the day before I checked out I was cleaning my room and went to thrown towel in maids room. When I handed her the towels she started to talk in Spanish under her breath and snatched them from my hands and said oh wow and threw them. I asked what's wrong and she snapped the towels are ruined. I told her would you like me to shake towel out more because I clean up after my cats litter box all the time and I just wiped the floor and it’s no big deal. My towels always come out perfectly fine when I bleach them.

She began screaming at me that I ruined them and she was going to complain to owner. I told her I am going to talk to her about the way your treating me over 2 towels. When I arrived in lobby the maid was standing there pointing two towels and telling the owner I had ruined them. I told her if that’s the case I'm more than happy to pay for them, it's only 2 small towels but I want to complain about how the maid treated me and that was unacceptable and I have never been treated so badly at any place of business before.

The owner then flew into a rage, which I found odd because I had asked numerous times to seek to her about Mr. ** and I was shut down completely and told there was no number to contact her or she was on vacation, but suddenly she was in front of me and I tried to hand her $20 I had in my hand and said that should be more than enough to cover the 2 towels, although I honestly felt they were fine just need to be washed and I mentioned that it was very expensive to have a pet room so since you pay extra just for situations like this there shouldn't be a problem, but I have been repeatedly humiliated at this hotel that promises % 100 quality and comfort guarantee.

I asked how I could complain about the laundry women, if I used comment cards or went online to do. Then the owner flew off the handle threatening me that if I complained she would have me removed from the hotel. I couldn't believe it. I told her I have nothing but a perfect guest and my husband, children and I were living there and we did absolutely nothing to deserve this kind of treatment. She continued screaming at me in front of the whole lobby saying I was dumb and if I wasn't so stupid I could understand her.

There was no point in arguing because my kids needed somewhere to live and they knew that and all I could do was walk out bawling. Even the maid Theresa tried to comfort me because I was inconsolable after the treatment and everything I had gone through and my kids were traumatized. Theresa told me that lady was evil and very mean to everyone and they were all scared of her and she never said anything. The next day by some maricleaning an apartment called and we took the first apartment to call back although we are drowning, we are grateful to have a home.

The worst part of all of these is the owner threatened me that she was going to destroy me and she did just that. The sat and sun following my check out my card was charged $150 both mornings at 5:59 am and my family went for 2 weeks without a dime to our name and a bank account $364 in the me. I was charged the amount for 2 policy violations that never happened and charged my card fraudulently.

I was having a breakdown and when I called hotel they had no idea what I was talking about. Mr ** emailed me an itemized bill after I begged and pleaded for his help and the charges did not appear on the bill statement. So either Mr. ** is in on the fraud and robbery or the owner did it without anyone else's knowledge but I get no response from the hotel after numerous complaints, although they have a % 100 satisfaction guarantee. This is the biggest injustice my family has ever gone through and I won't let them get away with doing this to hardworking families. I want to pursue criminal action against them also. Please help.

I rented the breakfast area for a small party. Then a couple of days later, I rented a room and I was told by an employee that since I was renting a room, I would get the breakfast area free of charge. The breakfast counter top is black. You will understand where the black counter top is very important. I was cleaning up some pizzas that were put on the counter top of the breakfast area when I noticed a couple of pizzas were swarming in ants when I opened, then the counter top was too, but because it was black and the ants are black, I could not see then till I opened/lifted the lids of a couple of pizzas that were at the bottom of a large stack. Plus there was food that I had cooked which I had brought right off the stove. We used the counter top to put the lid on and cover it back up not knowing that it was swarming with ants because the counter top is black. It was hard to see the ants because there is no lighting in that entire area. I was disgusted also because we had given this food to small children as well as adults never knowing that there were ants all over the counter top that got in our food.

I went to the service desk who said she would call her supervisor. She went to get me and said that she can give an hour off the rental. I told the front desk receptionist that there was not going to be any charge for the room, how are they going to discount? But I did not rent the breakfast area, ants included. The front desk said I could speak to her manager over the phone. I spoke to manager named Sandra who said that she already told the girl what she can do for me and that is all she can do. I told her that there were ants all over our food that was on the counter top. Sandra said that the counter top is not supposed to be used to put food on. I told her that there is no sign up saying that and I was never told. How was I supposed to know? I don't work for the hotel to know that but Comfort Suites have food on the counter tops for their guest there with ants.

Sandra said that the exterminator was there 2 weeks ago so they were aware of the problem. If they knew, why would they rent it and allow guest to eat from there when there are hundreds of ants which I have picture and videos of? Sandra, who is the manager, instead of apologizing, she was yelling at me. I expected much better customer service from a manager but I was shocked when I got someone who was unprofessional, rude, uncaring, who said that she would never rent to me again, which I told her I would never ever stay there ever again or any of their hotels for that matter. I will prefer to pay more and stay at a place that will treat me with respect, caring about keeping the customer happy so they come back and fix the issue, not yell at me which Sandra at the end said, "Fine, don't pay for the room but will not be rented again, but you are going to clean it and leave it the way it was because my staff will not clean it." I was surprised that I got better service from a regular front desk employee than from manager.

The experience was horrible, no customer service at all there. Sandra would not have a job if it was not for the customer, we pay, give her a paycheck because if you have no customers, you have no business. If you have no business, you have no money to pay the employees. She needs to go back to basic training with your policies and modules when it comes to customer satisfaction. I could not believe that I got better service from an employee that has only been working at the front desk for only 3 weeks than from a manager who I assume has been there for years I assume who should not be if she does not know how to treat customers with respect and have manners know that she represents a chain of hotels around the world. And I plan to tell all my friends and relatives and everyone I know about this horrible experience because no one should stay at a place where they are going to eat breakfast that is infested with ants and not to rent the room since they don't care.

Like I said, I have videos and pictures and the people who were there were shocked to see such a large infestation of ants. They took picture and with internet nowadays, everything spreads through the internet like wildfires. On top of the infestation, she practically called me a liar because she said that she told me something she never did when I told her that when I rented the hotel room if the breakfast would come at a discounted price the front desk person at this specific hotel when I called on 11/27/2013 at a little past midnight to reserve a room, which Sandra said that is incorrect. Sandra said it is not discounted because she had already quoted me that hourly charge. I told her that I spoke to one of the employees. Sandra said that they gave wrong information. I told Sandra how am I supposed to know that they are providing me with false or wrong info if I don't work there. It's when Sandra said, "Fine, don't pay for it but you have to clean up, my employees will not."

I gave the phone back to the front desk receptionist which I asked if calls were recorded, which she said they were. Now I wish it was so the call could have been heard since it was so horrible especially because a manager was being rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, uncaring of situation, yelling at me and calling me a liar. To top it off, manager Sandra really needs to be talked to, written up or something. The situation overall was super upsetting to my guest who I fed food that became infested with ants at your location and myself who I was treated like garbage. It made my entire experience atrocious & appalling.

Guess what? They didn't - it was all locked up. The next day, we were told we could get late checkout so our kids could come back & take a nap before finals; again they reneged to the detriment of our swimmers. That wouldn't have been so bad if the manager, Kathy, wasn't so snotty about it. She was so mean that she made my 14-year-old daughter cry! Then she sneered, "Have a good swim meet," in the same tone you would use to say, "** you," as we were leaving. I complained to Comfort Suites corporate and guess what? It turns out this was a lady with Royal Holiday Vacation Club doing presentations. To make a long story short, we bought a membership with Royal Holiday. It has been 2 months and they are not honoring the contract we signed. This is fraud. Comfort Suites was very adamant in promoting Royal Holiday. The pressure by the hotel staff is not fair or honest if they are helping a company who is committing fraud.

We have been using the boardroom for about three years now and we have had all kinds of problems. Now the room is either not set up properly and/or dirty. The curtains have been removed for about six months now that hangs over the door that leads to the dining area, which is now a total distraction. This morning we had people blocking the entrance leading into the boardroom because they wanted to have a bible study, a noteworthy deed. Why in front of the door entrance to the boardroom? And they actually let them finish what they were doing!

We have been having a problem with the air conditioner with one being broke for about six months and you promised to fix it. Now, both of them are not working properly. In fact, I had to unplug one because it would run nonstop running in the cool mode even in the off position. The carpet is still dirty even though you just had it steam cleaned. I can see you are having a lot other problems here at the hotel such as two of your food refrigeration units not working. However, we are paying above $475.00 a month just to have church service here twice a week. We are still waiting for a response. However, the last time I filed a complaint, I was told they would get back with me on that (from the home office I assumed) and they did not.

I went to the Comfort Suites in Bluffton, SC over the weekend. I checked in on 3-31-2012 and checked out on 04-01-2012. I got to the hotel and my room was not ready on time due to an over abundance of rooms to clean from big groups that had came in. I finally got in a room about 3:40 and that was only because someone emailed and said that they would not been in until 6 pm. I was given their room. I had a wedding to attend at 5 pm and this really inconvenienced me. I traveled all the way from Rocky Face, GA and expected my room to be ready no longer than 3 pm and it was not. I have stayed at other Comfort Inn and Suites before and had great service and they were punctual. I went to this hotel due to that reason. I had also reserved my room ahead of time. This was a major inconvenience.

My name is Kyle and I and several other people have been staying in Lake Charles at one of your hotels for almost one year. The longer we have been here, the worst we have been treated. We are here every week and more often than not our reservations are messed up and I don't understand why. The electronic card reader on the back door has been broken for months and there is never laundry detergent in the dispenser, not to mention that the washer and dryer are both filthy. The ceiling in the women’s bathroom in the bar has been leaking for months also.

I'm not the type of person to complain, but it would seem to me a newer hotel as this one would be better taken care of and also managed better as well. A month or so ago, the hotel was over booked by twenty rooms! It happens all the time. Also, I would think that customers that have been around as long as we have would be treated better. Thank you very much. Hopefully, this will be read by the right person. It is hard enough to work away from home, much less be treated like this.

My friends who worked for your company were treated unfairly that they quit! They never had supplies to do their job. The bosses that run your company would yell at them and treat them like crap. I have never have worked for a company that treats their employees the way these bosses act. There was no teamwork and the employees were underpaid.

By state law in Arkansas, you are supposed to have an eight or more shift. You get two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break, but not in Conway. Normally, after you do your job, you may leave. But in Comfort Suites, you have to stay and not only do your job but you need to help out others, which is very unfair. You can't work overtime and get paid for it, but they can work you like a dog and treat you however.

I'm very unhappy with the way your business is being handled. It's really sad the way people get treated--working or staying at your hotel. The bosses can yell and treat you like ** in front of your guests. Maybe if you had your manager make new hires take a drug test or a background, you could keep a good help. And if you pay your housekeeper for nine hours, you may have happier workers.

Thank you for taking the time to look into our situation. We sincerely appreciate it. This is what has happened to us on a recent trip to the Gulf Coast area. My wife and I checked in to Comfort Suites (AL236) located at Tillman's Corner, Alabama late on the night of 1/14/12. We were exhausted after traveling since 5 am and were greeted by a courteous and friendly front desk and we were also happy to learn that the facility is non-smoking. We had stopped at an adjacent hotel on the way in that had allowed smoking but given my wife's asthma and the fact that I can't stand being around smoke myself, we decided to go elsewhere.

After a good nights sleep, we departed fairly early and were on our way. Upon arriving back at our home in NH, I discovered that a charge of $168 was levied against my account by the hotel. I called the hotel that day (1/18) and spoke to a manager who said because we had smoked in the room, we were being charged for cleaning the room! I immediately told her that this had to be some sort of mistake, that she had either had the wrong room number or that she had the wrong date of stay as we are non-smokers. My wife has asthma and we left the room in excellent condition. My wife even picked up and put the dirty towels into the tub! I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she was in charge and that she would talk to the housekeeper that cleaned the room and call me back in the morning. I never received a call from the establishment.

I called the corporate office and told the representative the situation and she advised me that if I issued a formal complaint that the hotel would have to respond within 72 hours. I did issue a complaint and 72 hours came and went and again, still no call or contact from the hotel. I called the corporate office again on 7/22, spoke to another representative who said that because it was a weekend I shouldn't expect a call in 72 hours. I explained the incident to him and gave him the case # and he said a report had been filed by the hotel describing evidence of smoking in the hotel room and that there was nothing he could do other than advise us to speak directly with the hotel as they were dealing with the situation, had filed the report, etc.

So the next day, I did call the hotel and asked about the status of our situation and questioned why they had never contacted us. A manager explained that because I had called the corporate office that they would not be contacting us. At this point, I'm like "Is this really happening?" I asked for a copy of the report from the hotel describing the smoking evidence along with a copy of the sign in sheet, which the hotel did send to me. The report simply states "Guest smoked in room." The manager said that ashes were found in the sink and there was a strong cigarette smell in the room and the rugs had to be shampooed, walls scrubbed, etc. At this point, we are dumbfounded by this situation, 1000 miles away and have been put into a position of having to defend ourselves for something we simply did not do.

My daughter and I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Houghton Lake, MI. We ordered room service for dinner and our food was delivered in Styrofoam take-out containers, with plastic pre-packaged utensils, all delivered in a plastic grocery shopping bag. Our room had a lake view, but was extremely noisy, with snowmobiles racing back and forth on the lake. We also had to listen to other guests that were inebriated, spoke loudly and slammed doors, until about 11:45pm.

The next morning, I noticed holes in the drapes, light was shining through. I also noticed that the wallpaper was peeling off in the corner. My most ghastly surprise was when we noticed brown stains on what was supposed to be clean sheets on our bed, completely disgusting. As we went down to a complimentary breakfast at 09:10am, the hotel had run out of items for their complimentary breakfast, which was listed as lasting until 9:30am.

At check-out, I spoke to the manager at the desk and told her of my disappointment, disgust and overall horrible stay at their hotel. When I described the increased noise level, the unprofessional room service, the torn drapes, peeling wallpaper and lack of food for breakfast, she shrugged her shoulders and offered to take a mere $25 off of our total bill. I was appalled as we left at the sign listed under the name - "fight cages here”.

My background is that I have spent several years as a Senior Consultant to the Hospitality Industry, concentrating specifically on hotels. I have been the Project Manager for NCR Corporation, installing, training and supporting computer systems at properties like The Anatol in Dallas, Sofitel Hotels in Minneapolis and Houston, and The Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Louisville, plus others. Let's say that I have significant experience in the industry and I'm well aware that what makes a property stand out is the service afforded their guests.

Now that I am semi-retired, my interaction with the hotel industry is solely as a consumer and I tend to visit only those properties that I feel demonstrate a willingness to provide the best experience possible for their guests. Until recently, Choice Hotels has been a preferred chain for us to frequent. In fact, I have the Choice App installed on my iPhone and have used it several times to find a close by property to spend the night.

We have recently returned from a weekend stay at the Comfort Suites in Cicero, NY for my 50th Reunion of Syracuse Central Technical High School. At first, I was tempted to stay at another facility as the per-night room rate was a little higher than other properties in the area. But as several of the events of the weekend were scheduled at the hotel, and as many of the former classmates were staying there, I decided that being with my former friends was worth the extra cost. Also factoring in my decision was that I was on the Steering Committee behind the get together.

Unfortunately, the key person that has been behind the 11 years of planning, locating missing classmates and overall major contributor to this once-in-a-lifetime event, was treated horribly by the Staff and Management at the Cicero property. Not only was she a former classmate, but she is also a prior Teacher and Principal. But as happens to many of us as we grow older, infirmities of the body take over as she has had several joint operations and is considered as one of those that require special service in conformance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Several weeks before the event, she requested and was promised a room designated as handicapped with those options that would make her stay enjoyable. But upon arriving, she was told that her room had been given to someone else and no handicapped room was available. The management informed her that by the time she returned from the Friday Night event at the hotel, everything would be rectified. In reality, nothing was anything different and in order to be able to get her rest, she left CNY and returned to her home in Western New York. Essentially, this caused her to miss out on the rest of the events on Saturday and Sunday.

This has prompted me to remove Choice Hotels from my preferred list and I will delete the App from my iPhone. I cannot be assured that I wouldn't be treated in the same way should a similar event occur.

First, it seemed to be appear like a rash, but every morning, more bites were revealed. They were multiplying in numerous places from my face, arms, and over my back. I spoke with a local pharmacist and he stated that they were bed bugs.

Upon doing my own research on the Internet, my bites were most similar to bites of bed bugs. The supervisor I spoke with at the hotel seemed as if she could do nothing about it. She asked if they could be mosquito bites but they were not similar enough and consistent with those such bites. From my research, I obtained information to rule out any mosquito bites, ticks, fleas, and lime disease.

Also, I found that upon having been bitten by bed bugs, it can take up to two days for marks to show if you have been bitten even more. This was the worst experience I have ever had and want this to be treated seriously. I want to be compensated for the inconvenience and frustration of having such a terrible experience during my stay. My stay was for nine days. I checked in August 27th through September 5th of 2010. I could not enjoy my stay and put a damper on everything. Thank you for your time.

On both days, the kitchen was out of juice, milk, water. On Sunday, I helped clean tables, helped get food out because everything was empty on Sunday. There were no cups, plates, silverware, breads, yogurt, beverages. The garbage was full & people began to place the garbage on the floor. Kids were upset because there wasn't food available for them before their soccer games.

I asked to speak to a manager & I was informed the manager was off for the day. I helped for an hour to make sure the kids had breakfast. The elevator kept breaking down over the weekend. I asked the maintenance person why the elevator wasn't working & he said it was overuse.

I would strongly encourage families to not stay at this hotel.

On Monday, I contacted the manager regarding the events over the weekend & she wasn't very concerned. I had to ask for a discount & she offered a 15% discount after helping the hotel for 2 days while I was there. I found this insulting & she agreed to a refund of $57 for a $231 bill.

When I stay in a hotel, I expect to be treated well & to be provided with good service, neither of which happened at this hotel.

I did file a complaint with Customer Relations & was told they don't own the hotel & that a complaint would be filed. I was told that I would be contacted by phone within 72 hours. When I called back I was told a letter had been sent. In this economy I would expect to receive much better service! !

I am writing you, Rockingham, NC Health Department, to inform you of the horrible experience that my family and I had during our stay at the Comfort Suites Hotel in Rockingham, North Carolina on Friday, 8/28-30/09. My family and I come to Rockingham, NC every year at the same time for our family reunion (Morrison family reunion) so we all try to stay in the same hotel accommodations. Last year, we stayed at the Comfort Suites and we were not pleased due to the condition of the rooms on the 1st floor. The rooms were ant infested and the mold and mildew was unbearable. My daughter has Asthma so it is important that I do not allow her in such an environmentally unsafe location. I complained to the front desk clerk, and due to the hotel being filled to capacity, there were no other rooms available. I had no choice last year and did file a complaint with the BBB. I was reimbursed for a portion of my stay on last year.

On last year, the front desk clerk arranged to have a dehumidifier brought in and explained that the 1st floor of the hotel had been flooded and was never treated properly for the mold/mildew. This hotel is a very convenient distance from the location where our family reunion is held so my family and I decided to give the hotel another try this year. We requested the 2nd floor accommodations to try to avoid the mold/mildew issues that we were aware of on the 1st floor. We also inquired about the remainder of the building and were informed via telephone that there were no other mold/mildew issues on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Per the attached photos, you can see that this is not just a 1st floor issue. These photos are from the 2nd floor rooms and open areas in the hotel. I found out that it's an entire building issue. My room, #208, had mold growing in the carpet, up the wall, up the legs of the furniture and there was white fuzz (1st stag of mold) around the perimeter of the room. All of the content of the room was damp to the touch. There was also a cricket in my room that my brother and cousin worked really hard to find.

In their efforts, they found an old chicken bone, a cap from a needle/syringe, animal crackers and several hair accessories. The room was very dirty. I reported the matter to the front desk after I took the photos attached. The front desk explained that I could be moved to another room in the morning. I went to the front desk on Saturday morning (8/29/09) and shared all of the photos with Nita, the front desk clerk. She stated that she would get me moved as soon as the housekeeping manager came in and would also contact the general manager, Wayne **. I was informed by Nita that the general manager stated he would be in on Saturday to address all of the issues; he never showed up.

I shared the photos with the housekeeping manager and she escorted me to all of the available rooms on the 2nd floor. I was shocked to know that every room I viewed was infested with mold and mildew. The mold/mildew was growing in the carpet, around the air conditioner and each room was not clean. The mold/mildew smell was so apparent in most of the rooms as soon as you opened the door. I did not want or need to view them thoroughly. The smell was unbearable. I did decide to move to room #218 because it had the least amount of mold/mildew damage. However, there was still mold/mildew and the room was not clean even though the room had new furniture and new carpet. The mold had already started to grow in the new carpet and had begun to dampen the room.

I cannot believe this hotel is still in business. I spoke with other guests staying at the hotel, external to my family, and there were others that had to be moved from their rooms as well. I did a little investigating all over the hotel and discovered that mold/mildew is infesting the entire building. When you enter the hotel, there are ventilation vents at the top of the ceiling. All four vents are surrounded in blackness that looks just like mold/mildew growing out of each. I was informed by the hotel staff that there was a flood and a while back and the hotel was not treated properly before opening the facility back up the public for occupation. Now, the mold and mildew has taken over the entire building from the 1st to 3rd floor.

Please let me know what I need to do to ensure that no other people are injured by staying at this hotel. People die every day from this type of infestation. It is wrong because the management is fully aware of the issues but they keep the facility open and continue to harm unsuspecting guests. Liability lawsuits stem from these types of matters and it would be ashamed for a parent to lose a child just from staying in this hotel or for anyone to inhale the air in this environment and become ill. It is my understanding from the hotel staff that there have been two incidents where guests have become ill from the mold/mildew and had to be taken to the hospital. I plan to do all that I can to raise awareness of this facility. Being a parent of an Asthmatic child that has numerous issues, I plan to ensure that this very serious matter does not cause a horrible outcome for other parents, adults, etc. that decide to trust this particular Choice Hotel. This is a health hazard and should be investigated thoroughly by the local health department.

If you call the front desk, they will tell you that they are busy and will call you back later. When I spoke to the general manager, instead of listening to my issue, she asked me "What do you want?" She then placed me on hold and never came back to the phone. I then called back and spoke to an Yvette. She was just as nasty. She kept cutting me and would not let me get a word in edgewise. My only request was for an early check-in, and she acted as if this was a great inconvenience.

I witnessed another guest experience as well. She had to visit the front desk two days in a row to report a problem with her room. Her concern was met with great disdain. They treated the poor woman so bad. She just walked away in tears. After witnessing that tragic scene, I just packed up and left early. This whole hotel experience almost ruined my entire weekend. For the money that I paid, I really expected better.

I know this is not a 5-star hotel, but it costs nothing to be polite and courteous. I do not know the staff's main career goal nor aspiration, but it is not working in the hospitality industry. Also, please be mindful when making reservations. If you make any changes, they will change the rate on you! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. With the poor customer service and sudden rate increases, you had better run and run quickly! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. When I returned home I recieved a letter from the manager, Ronald Smith, stating "this was a clean blanket. Also there was another blanket in the dresser under the television. Because of this I have charged your card in the amount of $106.75"

He was not there during any of this. There was no extra blanket anywhere in the room and the Laundry person took the blanket to the wash when we were leaving.

100% satisfaction: There guarantee is that they will fix the problem in a timely manner or you don't have to pay. I just wanted a blanket that was to my satisfaction. They could not provide it.

You can not tell a customer you are going to not charge their card and then go back and charge it .

Well I called the complaint line after i received the letter and Wendy said that you can not tell a customer you are not going to charge them and then bill them later. She said fax us your credit card statement and the what they gave you showing your card had not been billed and we will take care of it.

So I did that and got a form letter saying that "you may or not know that each hotel is a franchise system independently owned and operated, and as such, is responsible for guest satisfaction issues. We are sorry if you found their response to your concern unsatisfactory; however, we must consider their response in this matter final."

This is not what I was told before!
    What is this 100% guarantee?

Being a franchise means you have to have the stadards of the business.

Choice Hotels offers friends and families of their employees a discount by using their LFF Program. I received a voucher for this discount and intended to use it for my stay at Comfort Suites. I called the Kenosha location of Comfort Suites to book the room by phone and let them know I would be using the LFF Program. I was told by the hotel staff to book the room on-line and bring the LFF voucher in with me upon check-in. When I arrived, the front desk clerk informed me that I would have had to enter a code on-line in order to get the discount. At this point, I have already arrived at the hotel to check-in around 9pm and I was never instructed to use a code at any other time. There was no manager on-site, so I spoke with Deborah Lathen, General Manager over the phone regarding the issue. I was told that I could not have the LFF Program rate and she was very unprofessional and rude. She also told me that if I received the voucher from an employee of Choice Hotels that they should have informed me of the code. She alluded to the fact that I received the voucher some other way which is completely false. I informed her that her staff did not inform me that the use of any code was necessary and she indicated that was not her fault or the fault of her front desk staff. I then asked for her name and she indicated that I was threatening her and I was to "leave the property" immediately. I had along with me, my eight year old daughter and her friend. The intention of this weekend was for us to stay at the hotel for the weekend, swim and do other outdoor activities. So at 9pm on April 15th, I am in Kenosha with two children and no place to stay.

I stayed at their hotel for 3 days on business, on the second day I had to work digging and pouring concrete so my boss advised me to leave my jewelery
in the room as this type of work would
damage it. I did so and left my ring on
the nightstand with a witness the CEO of the company that hired me to do the work for him. I came back to my room later that night and my ring was gone as well as my cigarette lighter. I called the front desk as to where did they put my ring. Housekeeping did not answer and they said someone would get
back to me. They never did.

I phone later that night and the front desk said they would see if they could find anything else out for me. They phone me
back and told me housekeeping did not have it. They told me to contact the g.m. monday morning to complain. I wrote a letter explaining what happened and they said they would leave it on his desk and he would contact me monday morning. I phoned to speak with him monday and left a message on his voice mail to call me. I phoned another 2 times that day and still no response. I continued to phone everyday at least 3 times to get ahold of him and I was never able to contact him, they always switched me over to his voice mail. Finally after
5 days of no responses, I phoned the s.s.f.p.d. again this time to file a police report for my ring being stolen by a hotel employee. Since I still have not heard back from anyone with their company im also trying to contact corporate headquarters and file
a complaint with them since I cant even

    get a response from them.
