The cost mentioned a resort fee the hotel may impose. The total cost was about $40 more than the two night stay. I erroneously assumed the fee was included and clicked BookIt. The final page acknowledge my booking and also mentioned that I might be charged over $30 more on arrival. I tried to back up a page to reconsider my booking using the page back arrow and it tossed me off your site. Any valuable customer would be provided full info amassed together before they commit to the fee. BYE.

The process was great with booking, downpayment and receiving the knowledge of how the 3 month payment installments would go. This has been the quickest and greatest experiment with finding a great resort for a family vacation.

Last night April 9th my husband and I tried to book a vacation. We found airfare and the hotel we wanted at a price within our budget. We paid with PayPal and hit the BookIt button. We instantly received an error message saying to call them, which we did straight away. I was told the error was because my husband and son have the same first and last name but different initials. The agent told me the booking didn't go through and that I should rebook putting their first and middle names in the first name spot. I thought that was odd since messing up names can possibly prevent you from getting on a flight.
It turns out that even though the booking didn't go through on their end the money was still pending in PayPal! We called again asking to speak to a manager and was told no! Now the flight I wanted is gone and the price went up exponentially... Zero help from customer service and was told they will not do anything to make it right! Unbelievable!

I have used BookIt before and had no issues. However, I called to ask a question about a trip we wanted to book because another couple is going with us. The representative booked my trip but never bothered to tell me that there was an extra charge for her to do it! Only found out when my credit card statement came in. This is not the way I would think any Company would do business! I think I will use another website from now on!

I am extremely disappointed with BookIt. My friends and I purchased a package from BookIt.com November 26, 2015 at 2:35pm. My friend is turning 30 and wanted to celebrate in a big way. Friday, April 1, 2016 my friend's sister received an email stating that her and her companion have been relocated to another hotel. She called BookIt twice. The first customer service representative was extremely rude and told her that she and her companion each had to pay an additional $1,000 to stay in another hotel. I received an email the following week stating my companion and I have been relocated as well. I called Iberostar and they blamed BookIt. I called Bookit and they blamed Iberostar. I feel really upset and stressed this is happening two weeks before the trip. According to BookIt, Iberostar reneged on their contract with them.
My sister decided to speak to another representative. The second representative was really helpful and she found a 3-star hotel for us to stay at. I was disappointed we went from a 4-star hotel to a 3-star hotel. In addition, my companion and I paid additional money for a room with an ocean view at Iberostar in the new hotel that was assigned our room is standard. When I asked why we weren't getting an ocean view BookIt said it's because they need to pay additional money towards the new hotel we have been assigned to. I wanted to cancel the trip, but BookIt refused to give us our money back for the flight. I feel my trip is ruined and honestly I would not book a trip with BookIt again. I felt this was unprofessional on their part.

The customer service person was nice and straightforward, helped me with what I needed. But the only thing I was a little upset about he was not accurate about the deposit fee I had to pay at hotel. It was much more than he told me I was going to leave. I would use BookIt again no matter what. Nice people.

When I started my booking online I entered that day's date (3/23/16) as my check-in date, for a 1-night stay. Check out 3/24/16 to book Paris hotel in Las Vegas... Their system changed dates on me. So I asked to please waive any fees due to their switching of my original dates I wanted and entered. Tricky how their cancellation reasons do not include error on their part. All choices were guest error, etc. I'm considering contacting PayPal for assistance. Beware!

Very easy to book and this was the best rate I could find online (and I did a lot of searches). My only issue is that I never received a confirmation email and when I tried to call the customer service line, no one ever answered the phone! Luckily, I was able call the hotel directly and get a confirmation from them. I do think BookIt.com should step up their customer service, but other than that, good experience.

The first time I contacted a live agent it was confirmed that much of the info regarding the property was incorrect, and she told me she would get back to me with updated info that same evening. I did not receive a call so called again several times over the next couple of days to the agent and never received a return call. I called again yesterday and decided that even though the info in the property had not changed, I could still book and guide them through the errors that were not correct to get the booking right. This still took two hours, and I am not convinced I am going to get what I booked and that BookIt will honor the hotel policies and fees when we arrive. The price quoted, and then the bill I received had a $240 difference in taxes/fees, but they said it was a glitch in the system.

After comparing several different searches for hotels, BookIt provided what appears to have been the best price for the level of value for which I was looking. The process for processing the reservation was straightforward and intuitive. Overall the process was excellent and I will use the service again.

There was an extra 30.00 resort fee charged at check in. We would not have paid that much for this place had we realized there were going to be additional charges.

We hear you and understand, but all additional hotel fees are clearly stated in the terms and conditions which you must agree to prior to booking as well as on your on your Guest Voucher under "Cancellation & Hotel Policies." We hope this helps clear up any confusion. Thank you for reviewing us.

I use online sites all the time and I will never use BookIt again. I plan on telling my friends and posting it on Facebook and other sites how when I checked into the hotel they charged me an additional $65. BookIt sucks and rips people off.

This is our second time using BookIt for vacation. Adam and Rebecca has been awesome, excellent in answering questions and having patience with us. Our Jamaica Resort was wonderful and cannot wait to see Aruba Resort in June.

The initial room cost page gives one rate, then a much higher rate when you go to book. Not to mention, the resort fee that is to be charged is not mentioned until AFTER you book and cannot cancel booking without paying the $25 cancellation fee.

Fees shouldn't be hidden in the terms and conditions. We booked our stay and then we were sent an email with the other fees. Phone lines to BookIt are horrific! Total of 4 hours spent on phone (mostly on hold) trying to fix issues. Will never use BookIt.com again. We get to our hotel and have to leave and go to another hotel to check in. Finally make it to our room to find it being the filthiest I've ever seen. Furniture ripped, stains on bed, couch, and carpet. We have to leave and drive back to place we checked in at and were given another room. We get back to our new room to find someone else was already in it!! Needless to say, it took an act of congress to get our refund!! Lesson learned.

We stayed at Sleep Inn, Six Flags and it was terrible. The room was filthy. The bed and bedding was so dirty we could not sleep on it. I took it to the front desk and was told to just leave it. After housekeeping came by I had to clean the floor, so they gave me a broom and dustpan. The breakfast bar juice dispenser was sour. The room was supposed to be smoke-free but all you could smell was smoke. Do not have elevators for the elderly and disabled. Not worth the money.

We have used BookIt.com 4 times now for travel to the Princess Sunset resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I wouldn't book my vacation with anyone else. I have had no problems with BookIt at all. The property is amazing as well. Amazing people for staff and we have recommended this property to many friends who all have loved it. We even have a friend having their wedding there this year! BookIt.com has handled all of the vacations for us and our friends. Zero issues.

A fabulous price was listed for the all inclusive Omni Cancun, but when I tried to book online, there was a different price listed in the reservation section -- still a good price, but higher. I took about 30 minutes to look at other locations on BookIt, until I decided I really wanted the Omni Cancun; however, upon my return to the Omni, the price in the reservation section had gone up again (higher still). I decided to book through the toll free number, and although the representative felt my pain, she said she had to book it at the price now shown on the screen. The explanation was that as rooms start selling out, the price will often rise accordingly -- supply & demand. Will be traveling in 2 weeks, so I'll see if my special requests ("requested but not guaranteed") turn out.

The price looked awesome so I selected a hotel with specifications for 2 queen beds in the room. When I checked my email confirmation, it said 1 king bed. I immediately called BookIt support and they said that I have to cancel, pay a fee and rebook even though I just booked it 5 minutes prior. The purpose of using BookIt was for savings. If I paid the cancel fee then I might as well have just called the hotel and not dealt with an error.

We understand that sometimes mistakes happen and we are more than happy to assist you with rearranging your travel plans. However, we do want to remind you that most Properties do charge a cancellation and/or modification penalty in accordance with their own policies which are clearly stated in the terms and conditions which you must agree to prior to booking. I went through this company to book my honeymoon and it has turned into one of the most stressful things in planning the wedding. We planned it together on a Saturday evening and the amount was over my daily spending allowance so the flight only went through. I received a call Monday from a customer service rep to fix the issue and he was pleasant. He let me know all my booking requests would stay with my ID number and anyone should be able to pull it up when I called back.
I called my bank and upped my daily limit and called to rerun my card. I held for 25 mins before talking to anyone and the lady I talked to informed me that my flight would get me into Cancun on Tuesday even though we requested to book the resort Monday through the following Wednesday. When my fiance and I were booking the trip we focused on the layover times over the days as we figured there wouldn't be an option to arrive a day after our hotel reservation. I was irritated by that and my lunch hour was coming to an end so I requested my flights be cancelled and I be refunded so I can book at a later time. I was then informed the flights were non-refundable and it would be around $500 to change flight times. So I then told the rep to just book what I had requested and I guess we will cut our honeymoon a day short. She proceeded to book everything and we ended the phone call.
I received my confirmation email and realized she booked it for the wrong room. I called back and talked to another rep for another 45 mins to make that change to the upgraded room. I was irritated but he said he made the changes and it would be an additional $548.92 so he ran my card and said I would be receiving a new email. 24 hours pass and no email came, so I called again, waited again and talked to another rep who told me there was no record of changes being made yesterday for the upgraded room. I can't express with words how irritated I was and let the rep know what I've been put through and would just like to make these changes and get this handled. She was great, stayed on the line with me until I received my confirmation email with the room I wanted and apologized for her team member's mistakes.
So now here I am with a honeymoon a day shorter than we wanted and no trust that anything is actually booked. I'm going to personally make phone calls to the flight and resort to confirm they even know my name and reservation dates just for peace of mind. I will never use or refer this company to anyone and wish I could just cancel my entire booking and be refunded for everything so my Fiance and I could have the honeymoon we wanted.

I'm totally pissed with BookIt. I have been booking trips with them for the last 4 yrs & never have I been so aggravated. In less than 24 hrs my trip went down over $200 & they will not accommodate me for it. I believe this is unfair. This happened to my friend last yr. at Liberty Travel & they reimbursed her the difference. This may be my very last time using this company.

I didn't have any problems with booking online but I did have problems getting through on the phone (still have not accomplished it!). My last name is spelled wrong. I changed it during the booking process but it still came through wrong. This will be an issue as I will be doing international travel. I have always used BookIt before and have not had any problems.

We had to change our reservation (Apr 7). The agent who helped us was just great. She was patient and effective. While we don't agree that we should have to pay $25 to add a day to our hotel stay, that policy is not her responsibility. The changes we requested in our flights were somewhat complicated and this she handled very nicely.

Very difficult and confusing - I am a retired travel agent and found your website not user friendly! Too much small print to read and very unclear conditions to reserve a room. I needed to modify my booking and spent two days online trying to do this on your members lounge page and it would not accept my changes! I spoke to Phillip today and he was extremely helpful, kind, and did an excellent job resolving my problem. I have yet to get an email to confirm the modifications, with new booking number ** and the $67.12 refund I was told I would receive in 10 days - thank you! Ugh phone lines are impossible!

I booked my trip with your company on March 17. Had my itinerary, full payment taken from my Credit Card. Friends of ours booked through Expedia. Decided to preselect my seats yesterday April 5 and no flights in my name. Called BookIt; was on hold, with brief conversations, for two hours where I was told that the flights 'did not book' on March 17. BUT FULL PAYMENT WAS TAKEN. I was told I was sent an email on the 18th, which I DID NOT RECEIVE. I do not appreciate being lied to; I do not appreciate the fact that I could have been at the airport expecting to fly when I found this out. I am waiting for my refund and praying that BookIt actually did refund my Full Payment. I would NEVER EVER recommend you to anyone. I immediately booked with Expedia with NO ISSUES. It cost me $400 more than it would have in March. So thanks for nothing.

I had difficulties to book vacation online and on the call line customer representative was very unhelpful. Basically he said "Take it as it is or do not take." Car rental price on the website was incorrect and the location of pick-up was wrong.

I was seeking somewhere for my wife and I to stay in Nassau after a business meeting in the islands. BookIt.com had an attractively-priced posting for a Jr. Suite at Comfort Suites on Paradise Island -- adjacent to Atlantis, with breakfast and access to all of the fun things to do at Atlantis included at no extra charge. It seemed a no-brainer, and we grabbed it quickly. We're hopeful it will turn out to be a great price-performer.

We booked a spring break getaway to Puerto Vallarta Mexico in February. We made all payments on time and our last scheduled payment was due to process on Monday, March 21st, 2016. We received an email on Sunday, March 20th at 9:20 p.m. saying our payment would not process and we needed to rectify the situation as soon as possible or our trip would be cancelled. We checked email the NEXT morning and learned that the trip had been cancelled and we're charged a 25.00 cancellation fee and we were losing our 2900.00 we had already paid. My husband IMMEDIATELY called your customer service line and spent over 4 hours on the phone with them trying to resolve the issue. He conferenced in our BANK and our bank saw nowhere did your company EVER process our last payment. Our bank did confirm ALL previous transactions and the cancellation charge.
He then had to DEMAND to be transferred to a supervisor to handle the reinstatement of our vacation. We were then told and hung up on when he asked. He then had to call back and start the process over with another representative and again had to call and conference in our bank AGAIN. Please keep in mind he was at work and still trying to work as well. He spent another 2 hour on that call. This is now 6 HOUR OF HIS WORK DAY. He then was told that he would receive a callback. He NEVER got a call back that day. He then CALLED back on Tuesday and spent a total of 6 MORE hours trying to get our vacation back. He was told our resort was SOLD OUT and he personally called them and was told that it was NOT sold OUT. He was again hung up on because he was told that the operator would not get their supervisor. Finally, he reached someone who would return his call and did check on what had happened.
By now it was Wednesday and we were scheduled to leave on Saturday. The supervisor then suggested that we should have another reservation at a lower star hotel than where we originally booked because that is all that was available for our dates. My husband then told them that we would only be staying at the Canto de Sol or the NOW resort because they are at a similar star rating at YOUR expense. He was told WE would have to make up the difference for YOUR mistake. Finally, we are now into Thursday and the supervisor told us that they had the reservation in process at the Canto del Sol. Our bank account was refunded the 25.00, and we were set. NOT SO! We arrived at the Canto del Sol and the hotel HAD NO RESERVATION under our name and told us it was cancelled still. They were gracious enough to allow us to stay but they charged us 2 nights on our credit card AGAIN because of YOUR screw up.
We were NOT allowed to eat or make dining reservations at the 3 restaurants. This WHOLE mess took another 3 days to fix. This LACK of CUSTOMER TREATMENT is UNACCEPTABLE. We have lodged formal complaints with the BBB and other travel agencies NOT to EVER use your service. My husband and I both have also left comments on your Facebook page warning others of your horrible customer service. I would hope that in the future, you would own up to your MISTAKES and HORRIBLE service and give customers a free vacation for the amount of time, hassle and aggravation you have caused us. We will NEVER use your services again for future vacations and will NEVER recommend you to friends and family to use. We do expect some sort of call about this situation.

Bookit.com charges $25 minimum to cancel any booking. If you go to vacationexpress.com, you do not get charged any fees for cancelling. I would not recommend bookit.com - ever.

Booking was very easy, however, as I checked out they changed my flight. Every time I went to put it back to what I wanted I would get a message that said the price had changed, but actually the flight itself changed. A clearer message (was the flight sold out?) would have been more helpful.

I found the cheapest rates on BookIt.com and the website was easy to use. The follow-up and confirmation emails are immediate and everything is explained very clearly. I had to call customer service because of an issue with my credit card (no fault of bookit.com) and the customer service representative was very helpful. She even entered my flight information (booked on a different website) so our transportation details would be in their system and our pick up would be taken care of ahead of time. Definitely recommend and am very glad we found this site!

Booked a hotel and flight for 5 nights. When I arrived not only was that hotel overbooked but my name wasn't even in their system. Waited about two hours to be told that I had to stay at another hotel nearby. Not only that. By the time this was all settled I was told to go and eat lunch and of course they were closed already. Bad experience!

Very very upset about my experience… spent most of the day trying to book only to keep getting sent back to find another flight. Called customer service and he could not help. He went through the same problem. Now I finally booked and my middle name instead of first is on confirmation. I called immediately. The rep put me on hold for 37 min then hung up. I just booked what I thought was a great deal for a hotel in Las Vegas. Price said 35 dollars. When taxes and fees were added it came up to 50.47. Oh well! Still not too bad. So I go ahead and book it and once the transaction has gone through I get told that on top of it, this property imposes a Resort Fee-$67.02!!! There was no obvious previous mention of this extra fee until the booking was done. I am trying to talk someone on the phone about it (for which I may be also charged!!) so far I've been listening to music for the past 15 minutes!! I feel cheated and very annoyed.

When we BookIt!... We picked BookIt insurance but then we found out that since we are from Canada we couldn't get BookIt insurance. We had to go to another insurance provider to get flight and travel insurance. So I am suggesting that you change your service to (A) make your insurance available to Canadian customers and (B) if you can't make Bookit insurance available to Canadian customers, say this, put it big bold text so people know that they have to get separate insurance from another provider and put in a web link to make it easier for your clients! The first person I spoke with I was told he could not tell me the price difference if any if I changed the dates? Very hard to understand most of our conversations. Called back again and this individual was very helpful, but still hard to understand. Had to talk to spirit airlines where I was given two different charge styles to change date. First 65.00 then a couple hundred. Guess which one I got ? Yes a couple hundred just to change date!

I called and spoke with a gentleman who was assisting me with finding a hotel close to the one that I had reservation for at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya Cancun. Instead of rushing me off the phone, he took the time to actually search. It felt good to have someone working with me at 2 am and not have an attitude. He was a gem. I wish I wrote his name down. He was great. I called back the next day and got a nice young lady as well. She saved a hotel I found so that I wouldn't lose the rate close to the hotel and I'm grateful to them both.

I was getting a bit anxious as I usually have my trips for the year booked by the beginning of February. I tried my usual route of booking my trip but the costs were astronomical. Using BookIt I was able to book our trip and spend less than what the other site was going to charge. This is an all inclusive that had options on the type of package, which was also not available on the other site. I think I have just found a new site for my trips in the future.

I attempted to book my vacation and BookIt returned an "oops" on the payment method. I then attempted again and the vacation went through. I checked my account and noticed I was charged twice. I called bookit and was put on hold. Waited 30 minutes - no answer. Called back on another line while on hold and was put back on hold. Now two lines waiting. One for an hour and the other 30 minutes. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I was told I was being transferred and was again put on hold. Extremely poor customer service. I used bookit before without issue but it seems as if their customer service has gone downhill!

When we arrive to the welcome center one of the couple that had booked with us reservations had been canceled. Then we were told that we have to pay an additional $127.00 that we were not aware of. It was not noted on our reservation confirmation so the lady went to BookIt.com website to prove it say it on the website. So we forced to pay it. Then when we get to the hotel and walk in at the Shores our room smelled like a wet dog. So I called the front desk after being hung up twice and on hold for 10 minutes. They told us they will send us to the Majestic Condo.
Upon repacking to move to another hotel the ceiling fan blade flew off and hit my husband in the head. Which no one seem to be too concern. Spoke with Manager on duty the next morning and she said "we upgrade you. What more do you want!" Never will I used bookit.com. I would like a refund for my 127.00 additional charge and one day of my visit which should be a total refund of $300.00.

Booked my trip to Vegas on BookIt.com for the first time and I love how quick and easy it was to secure a quality room at a discount beating all other offers. The only minor issue I've had was changing the name of my companion traveler in my site profile, and confirming if I have a non-smoking room, but I don't expect it to be a problem. This was my first time using BookIt.com. I feel that the pictures of the resort were misleading. We stayed at Viva Wyndham Azteca but most of the pictures were from the Viva Wyndham Maya, the sister resort that we had access to but were unaware of. We booked pool view room with balcony that was just enough space to barely stand. The room smelled like a pool locker room! The TV was not clear and pretty small size. The mattress was not very comfortable. Felt like a slightly softer box spring. The floor was all tile and no runners so became slippery when wet or from sand. The staff was not very helpful. We arrived very late (11:30pm) and had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs since there were no elevators and since there were no offers to help us up to our room.
Actually the first day on our way out of the resort the concierge or "bell boy" whatever he was and I'm sorry I didn't catch his name on his name tag since he made me feel frightened for more my safety if I dared to leave the hotel and mentioned I should be smarter considering I had my child with me. Luckily I had purchased excursions prior to arriving through a different site and wasn't there most of my stay!
When I asked about food option seeing that it was an all inclusive I was told I had to make reservations not even being told or shown where the main buffet was! I ate at the buffet in the back area of the resort and it wasn't very appetizing. The drinks were ok considering they were cheap liquor options. When we asked about the entertainment no hell was given! I only heard about the kids club from another guest whose child was the same age as mine that there were only smaller children and looked more like a daycare as supposed to what was explained in the dis riparian of activities that were offered! These are just examples of how my experience was and there is much more detail as of now. I am hoping by doing this that someone will be contacting me to make this experience right.

I was incredibly mislead, tried to change my reservation to add flights. I was paying approximately 570 per night, and when he removed a night and added my flights I am now paying over 710 per night. This is absolutely horrible customer service. I lost my excellent room rate and am very dissatisfied with BookIt.com and their customer service in trying to rectify this situation. I will be sure to share with all friends and family who use your service how poorly managed my situation was.
Updated on 4/9/2016: So this is my second review of Bookit.com and their customer service, I was hoping with their prompt response to have something positive to share about their "resolution team", but sadly I have nothing but negativity to share. My first poor experience involved their lack of communication and doing exactly what I requested they did not do. They ended up rebooking my trip where I was paying approximately 580 a night and rebooking it at a rate of over 710 per night.
The so called "resolution team" called me offering a 100 credit towards a future trip (as if this would be a reason to ever use their service again). They continued to explain the call would be used for "coaching" and training future reps, but basically I was screwed out of the money and no credit or discount could be applied to what they did to my existing reservation. This review is in hope that maybe bookit.com will respond to me and give me the resolution as my case was left unresolved on 4.6.16 and I was told someone would reach out to me explaining what they would do for me. Still have heard nothing back about the "resolution".

Customer service rep was VERY patient & helpful. My rep provided me with all answers to my questions & assisted me with a very complicated transaction (not their fault) due to Paypal. Thank you for all your help! I will continue to use them.

I have an existing booking & call into the customer support line several times with a hold of over 1hr. With little success to speak to a representative I decided to call back & select the sales option; I was transferred immediately to speak to a representative. I voiced my concern regarding the lack of attention to existing customers and the representative was very understanding. This is a big concern for existing bookings because I will not be able to contact a BookIt representative if I run into any issues on my vacation. I recommend that current bookings & potential sale bookings be treated in the same manner; therefore existing booking can lead to future sales. An unreliable agent can be a sale for another agent in the future.

I love BookIt. You guys have great customer service. The only complaint I have is that every time I call there is a 45 minute hold time to speak with a customer representative.
